Wednesday News Roundup: We Now Know What William Barr Has and Has Not Been Doing

William Barr has been found and we now know what he has and hasn’t been doing. – What he has been doing is secretly appointing John Durham as a special counsel way back on October 19 and not telling anybody about it. His excuse for the secrecy was that it was just too darn close to Election Day and he didn’t want to influence the election, a consideration no Democrat would ever even entertain.

Thus, once again we see an establishment Republican demonstrate exactly why establishment Republicans are, as a class, a pack of surrender monkey losers.

The other little – or possibly big – problem with Barr’s skullduggery is that the special counsel statute clearly requires that special counsels must be chosen from among lawyers who are currently out of government. So, did Durham secretly resign before he was secretly appointed to be a special counsel? We don’t know because it’s a big secret.

Barr’s supposed reason for making this move was to make it much more difficult for Joe Biden – a person of interest in the investigation – to get rid of Durham and make all of his accumulated evidence go away. But if Durham did not resign his old office prior to being appointed, then an incoming Biden administration can simply dissolve his new office as being illegitimate under the law.

So all of this may amount to just one more William Barr head fake, another effort to placate Trump supporters by appearing to do something while in fact doing nothing.

Earlier in the day, we found out what Barr has been doing, which is apparently a big bag of nothing, at least as it relates to the massive voter fraud that undeniably took place during the 2020 elections. The Associated Press released an interview with Barr (why is Barr giving interviews to the AP at this moment in time?) in which the AG says he has seen no evidence of widespread voter fraud that would affect the outcome of the election.

He went on to say that “There’s been one assertion that would be systemic fraud and that would be the claim that machines were programmed essentially to skew the election results. And the DHS and DOJ have looked into that, and so far, we haven’t seen anything to substantiate that.”

Actually, there have been dozens of assertions to that effect submitted in sworn affidavits, but who’s counting, right?

Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani lashed out at Barr in a statement:

In the campaign statement, Giuliani claimed there was “ample evidence of illegal voting in at least six states, which they have not examined.”

“We have many witnesses swearing under oath they saw crimes being committed in connection with voter fraud. As far as we know, not a single one has been interviewed by the DOJ. The Justice Department also hasn’t audited any voting machines or used their subpoena powers to determine the truth,” he said.

And there you have the real truth of this matter: Barr hasn’t seen anything because he hasn’t been looking in any real way. Barr also attempted to wave off responsibility by using the old “wrong venue” claim that lawyers like to use, telling the AP that:

“There’s a growing tendency to use the criminal justice system as sort of a default fix-all,” he said, but first there must be a basis to believe there is a crime to investigate.

“Most claims of fraud are very particularized to a particular set of circumstances or actors or conduct. … And those have been run down; they are being run down,” Barr said. “Some have been broad and potentially cover a few thousand votes. They have been followed up on.”

This is all a load of horse manure. The FBI and DOJ have absolute authority to fully investigate any allegations of voter fraud taking place in a federal election and to pursue criminal charges against anyone guilty of what is a FEDERAL FELONY.

Let me tell you a little story about Box 13 and the infamous 1948 Texas U.S. senate election that Lyndon Johnson stole from Coke Stevenson via rampant voter fraud. It was the election that vaulted LBJ to national prominence and led directly to him ultimately becoming President 15 years later.

That election was a Democrat primary race – which at the time a was a de facto general election in Texas given the weakness then of the state’s GOP – and had been held on a Saturday. The initial results were so close that a recount was immediately ordered by the Texas secretary of state. By the following Friday, it became apparent to Johnson that he had to somehow find about 150 more votes in his name or he would be the loser and his political career essentially over.

So he called his good friend George Parr, the county judge of little Duval County in South Texas, to see if he could “find” another 150 or so ballots for him. Parr’s response to LBJ went something like this: “Lyndon, I’d love to do it for you, but you’ve asked so many times now that we have already reported more votes in Duval County than the number of people who actually live here, and we got FBI agents swarming all over us.”

Indeed, contemporaneous accounts of that stolen election invariably discuss the fact that the FBI was not only swarming Duval County but scouring the entire state, trying its best to root out voter fraud in real time. Why? Because it was a federal election, and LBJ and his cronies were committing federal felonies.

When LBJ wouldn’t take no for an answer, Parr said that maybe he could “find” the needed number of ballots over in Alice, the county seat of neighboring Jim Wells County, since the County Judge there was also a reliable crony. Lo and behold, on that Friday night, the Jim Wells County clerk “found” Box 13, a box allegedly containing more than 200 absentee ballots from that county’s 13th voting precinct, all of which had been miraculously cast for LBJ in a race that was dead even statewide.

Rumor has it that all 200+ of the ballots were written in the same handwriting and had been miraculously inserted into the box in perfect alphabetical order, but when FBI agents showed up at the Jim Wells County courthouse the following day to investigate, the clerk informed them that all of the county’s absentee ballots had been incinerated once they had been counted.

The point here is not that a Democrat stole that election – Democrats have been stealing elections in South Texas since time immemorial. It’s just part of the culture there. The point is that the FBI had deployed teams of agents working overtime to police a federal election in real time.

Today’s FBI has 1,000 times the resources that the agency possessed in 1948, yet it could not be bothered to lift a finger to work proactively to try to prevent any of the massive fraud we have all known was coming as a part of this election for eight long months. That sad reality can only be because the senior leadership at the FBI and the DOJ were just fine with this election being stolen by the Democrats.

Barr brags to the AP that his department continues to investigate valid claims of fraud in this election, but no one in the media is curious enough to ask him why he did nothing to prevent any of it from taking place. Perhaps that’s because they all know Barr has no good answer for that one, and they’re all fine with it, too.

That is all.

Boom: Barr Converts Durham to Special Counsel in Russia Probe

Well, this is something. Minutes after disappointing Trump supporters – and no doubt President Trump himself – by saying that his do-nothing FBI/DOJ has found no evidence of fraud that would be pervasive enough to tilt the outcome of the presidential election, William Barr announced that he has formally converted U.S. Attorney John Durham to a Special Counsel in his investigation of the origins of Spygate and Obamagate.

This conversion will help to ensure that Durham will be able to continue his work in a new Biden/Harris administration, complicating the hell out of China Joe Potato Head Biden since he is without doubt a key person of interest in Durham’s probe. It will also give Durham access to all the budget, staffing and resource privileges that come along with the Special Counsel designation.

From a report at Fox News:

Attorney General Bill Barr appointed U.S. Attorney John Durham as special counsel to continue investigating the origins of the Russia probe in the next administration, Fox News has confirmed.

Barr appointed Durham as special counsel on Oct. 19—two weeks prior to Election Day.

Barr notified the Senate and House Judiciary Committees, in a letter dated Dec. 1 obtained by Fox News, that Durham would be special counsel.

“On May 13, 2019, I directed John Durham, U.S. Attorney for the District of Connecticut, to investigate certain intelligence and law-enforcement activities surrounding the 2016 presidential election,” Barr wrote. “Although I had expected Mr. Durham to complete his work by the summer of 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as additional information he uncovered, prevented him from doing so.”

“In advance of the presidential election, I decided to appoint Mr. Durham as a Special Counsel to provide him and his team with the assurance that they could complete their work, without regard to the outcome of the election,” Barr wrote, adding that he appointed Durham with “the powers and authority of a Special Counsel” on Oct. 19.

[End]

Law Professor Jonathan Turley had this to say about Barr’s action on Twitter this afternoon:

Thus, as has been the case throughout his term as Attorney General, Barr presents those who support President Trump today with a mixed bag of disappointment about his department’s failure to act on major scandals in real time and hope that the future could still produce some satisfactory results on another front.

The refusal of Barr’s DOJ and the FBI to really get involved in the single largest election fraud in American history will be a stain on Barr’s and Christopher Wray’s reputations for the rest of their days on earth. But his move with Durham today could, if Durham does ultimately produce real prosecutions of the criminals who tried to fix the 2016 elections and execute a coup d’etat on American soil, help to redeem Barr to a large extent.

As always with Barr, you have to take the bad with the good.

That is all.

Friday News Roundup: America is a True Banana Republic

Divided government is good for the stock market. – That is the signal the markets have been sending all week, as they have rocketed up mainly on the assumption that the GOP had retained a significant, 53-seat majority in the U.S. Senate. The Dow Jones has gained almost 1500 points this week, and happy days were here again.

But this morning, some new reality is setting in, and the markets are responding to it. Michigan Republican John James saw his clear legitimate victory overturned by the Democrats’ Detroit voter fraud machine on Wednesday, and suddenly that GOP majority was looking more precarious at just 52 seats. Then, Georgia’s David Perdue saw his clear win there turned into a runoff opportunity by the Democrats’ Atlanta voter fraud machine, and suddenly that GOP majority had become potentially no majority at all, given that Kelly Loeffler also faces a runoff election in Georgia.

It is no wonder, then, that the Dow this morning is stumbling, with futures showing a down opening of over 200 points.

The stock market loves a divided federal balance of power, because that mitigates against the kind of radical change the Democrats wish to enact. Now that that division stands in serious jeopardy, we can expect the markets to founder.

Just a reminder… – But hey, it’s not as if Joe Biden didn’t tell us outright what was going to happen:

“We have put together the most extensive and inclusive VOTER FRAUD organization in the history of American politics.”

To use Biden’s own language: Well, son of a bitch, he sure did.

America is officially a banana republic. – I joked about this a lot during the Obama years, given Obama’s very real fealty to and similarity with Central/South American socialist thugs like Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro.

We need to all understand that what is happening in Philadelphia, Milwaukee, Atlanta and Detroit, with Democrat officials refusing to allow GOP election observers access to the vote-counting process really, truly does take our country into true third-world banana republic status. America sends election observers into third-world countries all the time to help try to ensure a true democratic process takes place, and anywhere their access is denied, that country’s government becomes subject to U.S. sanctions and condemnation in world forums like the United Nations.

But here we are in by-God America, dealing with multiple situations in which Democrat thugs refuse to allow bipartisan election observers. That is tragically un-American, a despicable ant-democratic act that demands intervention from the federal Department of Justice and state law enforcement.

And yet, no one at either level of law enforcement lifts a finger to enforce and defend the most fundamental foundational building block of the American Republic. This is the kind of stuff that has turned Venezuela into a literal hell on earth, the kind of brutishness that rendered Cuba a prison state for the last 60 years, the kind of lawlessness that makes traveling into the once-beautiful country of Mexico a life-risking endeavor now.

If this outright theft of the U.S. presidency is allowed to stand without the DOJ or anyone else in law enforcement lifting a finger to do their jobs, then America will have no legitimate argument against the claim that it is now officially just another banana republic. That is a tragedy that is in fact bipartisan in its cause and nature.

Still don’t believe the fraud is real? – Here you go:

How about this:

Or this:

Do you understand the reason why these vote “counting” efforts in these Democrat voter fraud cities like Atlanta, Philly, Milwaukee, Detroit, Las Vegas and Phoenix had to be extended for days? The reason is simple: It takes a lot of time to fill out these ballots and then process them, and the “counters” had to first know how many fraudulent ballots they needed to create before starting the ballot-creating process. That is why we witnessed the two-hour pause in counting across PA, MI, and WI at about 2:00 a.m. Wednesday morning – they were jointly assessing the number of manufactured ballots they would need to steal the election.

Think about it: Florida managed to count more than 12 million ballots overnight Tuesday and report final results. Texas managed to do the same with even more ballots than that. Most other states – run by Republicans and Democrats alike – managed to do the same.

The one and only reason why these fraud states/cities are different is the massive fraud operation itself. If Illinois had been remotely close, we would have seen the same pause taking place there. Even though everyone knows at this point that there is nothing legitimate about what they are doing, they still must create the paper trail to prop up the pretense of legitimacy, and that takes a lot of time. And the one and only hope for reversing this massive fraud is for the courts to order a full forensic examination of each and every ballot, including the matching of signatures to voter registration documents and ensuring the alleged voter was in fact among the living when his or her “vote” was cast.

Getting that done is going to require William Barr and the DOJ to aggressively intervene in the process in order to create the body of evidence necessary to convince the courts. Thus far, Barr has been utterly and completely worthless, at least publicly. We can hope that he may be making preparations behind the scenes, but his record is not encouraging in that regard.

America is a true banana republic, and much of the blame for that must fall at Barr’s feet. But at the end of the day, it’s really the result of the national Democrat Party achieving its main goal of the last half-century.

That is all.

Monday News Roundup: Did Biden Really Call a Lid Through Election Day?

The Campaign That Never Was… – At 9:00 Sunday morning, the talking points monkeys who staff Joe Biden’s twitter account sent a message saying “9 Days. Let’s go!”

At 9:01 Sunday morning, Biden’s elder-abusing handlers called a press lid for the rest of the day.

You seriously could never make this stuff up, folks.

Some outlets, like Gateway Pundit, reported yesterday afternoon that the Biden camp actually announced the Unfrozen Caveman Candidate had called a lid on any campaigning outside his basement for the duration, all the way through Election Day. I can find no evidence that that in fact is the case.

But hey, you couldn’t blame Biden’s handlers if they did decide to keep him permanently in his basement. – After all, every time his elder-abusing handlers let him out he does something like this:

Yes, friends, Quid Pro China Joe McNastyFinger often doesn’t even know which Republican he’s running against, and has to have help from the interviewer and his abusive wife to recover.

Hilariously, President Trump responded to this little episode on Twitter:

Mind-boggling.

The Trump endorsements keep rolling in and becoming increasingly diverse.  – President Trump has made inroads in to all sorts of constituencies the Democrat Party has for decades considered to be a part of its political plantation. We’ve all heard about the dozens of key endorsements that have rolled in from the Black, Hispanic and Jewish communities; the endorsements from major labor unions that have traditionally gone to the Democrats; the hundreds of endorsements from police and other law enforcement organizations across the land.

This universe of formerly Democrat constituencies moving to the GOP column under this President expanded further over the weekend with the endorsement from the Crow Nation, one of the country’s largest Indian nations:

It’s not just the Crow Nation. On Sunday, the Associated Press carried a rare semi-unbiased report quoting officials from the Navajo Nation – the country’s largest – and Oklahoma Cherokee Tribe about the growing support for President Trump in America’s Indian country. As has been happening in the Black community over the past few years thanks largely to the leadership of Kanye West, there is a growing realization among Indian Country leaders that the Democrat Party has taken their votes and delivered nothing in return. Which is not surprising, given that that is what the Democrat Party has always done.

Here’s a snip from that piece:

Myron Lizer has no qualms about it: As one of the top officials on the country’s largest Native American reservation, he’s a proud Donald Trump supporter.

The Navajo Nation vice president says Native American values — hard work, family and ranching — align more with the GOP than with Democrats.

“I’m finding that we’re giving the Navajo Republican voters confidence in coming out and showing their support,” he told The Associated Press. “We don’t need that, per se, but we do need that, but we do need that at the polls.”

U.S. Rep. Markwayne Mullin of Oklahoma, where Native Americans make up 7% of the state’s population, is already counting Indian Country as a GOP gain in 2020.

“Indian Country is not blue, it’s purple,” Mullin, who is Cherokee and one of two Native American Republicans in Congress, told The Associated Press. “And before long, it’s going to be red.”

[End]

Just another little key impact the Trump Administration has made that the corrupt news media completely ignores. Of course, that is also just one more reason why the Democrats and their media toadies are so focused on getting rid of Trump – he’s upsetting far too many apple carts on their plantation.

Here are some more of those apple carts, by the way. – From our “Happy Days Will Soon be Here Again” file, the Daily Beast put out a report on Sunday claiming that President Trump plans to go about firing a whole bunch of DC Swamp skunks and snakes shortly after he wins re-election.

Among the names blessedly included in the Daily Beast’s list of likely suspects are CIA Director Gina Haspel and worthless, corrupt FBI Director Christopher Wray. Oh, be still my beating heart.

Here is a clip from that article:

President Trump reportedly has a list of officials to fire after Election Day if he wins, starting with FBI Director Christopher Wray, who The Daily Beast previously reported Trump believes is part of the so-called deep state.

Two administration officials told Axios that Trump also plans to get rid of CIA director Gina Haspel and Defense Secretary Mark Esper. If not for the political fallout of ousting officials so close to Election Day, one official told the website that Trump would have fired Wray and Haspel already. However, Trump reportedly has no formal plans to replace Attorney General William Barr despite privately venting about his failure to release the Durham report, which delves into how the Obama administration investigated ties between Trump and Russia.

The period between Election Day and the inauguration is traditionally when re-elected presidents switch their teams. In response to Axios, the White House said in a statement: “We have no personnel announcements at this time nor would it be appropriate to speculate about changes after the election or in a second term.”

[End]

Oh, my. Oh, my, my, my. November 4 cannot arrive soon enough.

Speaking of Happy Days… – ABC White House fake reporter Katherine Faulders issued this wonderful bit of information last night:

With early voting trending heavily in Trump’s favor in all three of those states, these percentages – if accurate – among voters who have yet to go to the polls put the quietus to any Biden hopes of carrying any of them on November 3.

Of course, it is a media-sponsored poll, so the likelihood of it being accurate is not good. Still, its mere existence out in the Democrat/media fake polling universe no doubt had hair being set on fire at Biden’s basement HQ, and that’s a great thing no matter how you cut it.

That is all.

The Monday News Roundup: Biden, Harris Lose Control of the Court Packing Narrative

When you’ve lost Jake Tapper, you’ve lost control of the narrative. – The Biden/Harris Harris/Biden campaign lost control of the narrative over packing the Supreme Court over the weekend. It obviously won’t last long, because their pals in the news media won’t allow it to do so, but Sunday was fun nonetheless.

Here is Mr. Tapper, actually having a moment of journalistic integrity with the Deputy Campaign Manager for the Biden/Harris Harris/Biden disinformation campaign, Kate Bedingfield:

Tapper began by pointing out that Biden, who had previously said that adding justices to the Supreme Court was “a bonehead idea,” was suddenly unwilling to answer the question.

“Biden opposes adding more justices to the Supreme Court, he has for decades, so why he is refusing to weigh in on it now?” Tapper asked.

“Because Donald Trump and the Republicans don’t get to set the terms of this debate,” Bedingfield replied, arguing that the question was a play to distract voters while they rushed the confirmation of Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett.

“It’s not the Trump people who invented this question, right?” Tapper asked. “The idea of adding justices to the Supreme Court came from the progressive side of the Democratic Party. It’s a simple question. He has long been against adding justices to the the court. Has he changed his mind or does he have the same position he’s had since 1983?”

Bedingfield pivoted again, saying again that it was an attempt by Republicans to distract from a nominee who would likely change the balance of the court. That Vice President Mike Pence had pushed the issue of court packing at last week’s debate was further proof of that, she concluded.

“This is a simple — it’s a simple question and it’s one frankly that Trump did not invent,” Tapper pushed back, saying again that the notion of court packing had originally come from progressives in the Democratic Party. “I thought odd when Vice President Biden said the other day in response to a reporter’s question that voters do not deserve an answer on this. Of course, voters deserve an answer on his position — on every issue.”

“But we are not going to play their game,” Bedingfield insisted. “He has given an answer. He has answered the question. He has probably answered this question 15 times over the course of the last week. The answer is I am not going to play Donald Trump’s game. I am not going to allow the terms of this debate to shift to a hypothetical that assumes, by the way, that we, the Democrats, are going to lose here. That is really — that is what at the core of this argument they are making. It assumes we are going to lose. Vice President Biden does not accept that. He does not accept that.”

“I think a serious policy question is not a game and I don’t think it’s Trump’s game, but Kate Bedingfield, we always appreciate you coming on the show and answering the questions or deftly side-stepping them,” Tapper gave up, ending the segment. “Thank you. Appreciate it.”

[End]

If you’re expecting Tapper to now bulldog this issue like he would if he was chasing a Republican, you should probably think again. Tapper has now done his pretend journalist-y thing, and will move immediately on to some other topic that is more favorable to Biden. That will allow Tapper to continue getting invited to all the nice cocktail parties in the DC Swamp. Because that’s how all of this works.

As I pointed out yesterday, Biden/Harris Harris/Biden obviously do plan to pack the court if they are elected. If they had no such plan, they would say so. Both of these people were selected by the Democrat power brokers for their willingness to do or say anything the radical left tells them to do and say. The radical left demands the court be packed, because that is the only way its plan to create a communist utopia in America can succeed.

Thus, Biden/Harris Harris/Biden will pack the court.

The only way to avoid that outcome is to re-elect Donald J. Trump. Simple.

Think this isn’t an important election? Think again. – Check out the names on Joe Biden’s short list for Attorney General:

The mass-killer of senior citizens Governor of New York; a former acting AG who was a participant in a coup d’etat on American soil; and a pathetic loser who has no real legal gravitas at all. That’s the list for AG. It’s almost enough to make you long for the days of Janet Reno.

Holy crap.

Pandemic? What pandemic? – I guess the Los Angeles Lakers must have closed out the low-rated NBA finals last night. So, how did the team’s fans celebrate? Why, by staging a mass gathering at the Staples Center and tossing rocks and bottles at police officers:

Love how the corrupt reporter describes the scene as “mostly peaceful.” Orwellian.

There is only one real question about the Amy Coney Barrett confirmation. – She’s been confirmed by the senate before, just 3 years ago. She is extremely well-qualified for the job, and everyone knows it. Absent some major scandal, her ultimate confirmation along the schedule Lindsey Graham has laid out is a fait accompli.

The only real question related to the hearings that begin today is, what fake scandal will the Democrats and their hand-maidens in the media concoct in an effort to try to derail Judge Barrett? Until we know that, the hearings themselves will be just a posturing, demagoguery opportunity for the Democrat members of the Judiciary Committee, including Kamala Harris, who began her disgusting posturing over the weekend by notifying Graham that she will participate remotely because it’s just too darn dangerous for her to show up in person.

What will that fake scandal be? Who knows? But you know something is in the works, and, with the committee’s process scheduled to end on Thursday, it will most likely break over next weekend in an effort to extend the committee process and thus delay the full senate vote.

So the timing is predictable. As for the nature of the inevitable smear, we will just have to wait and see what these evil people make up.

Stay tuned.

That is all.

Tuesday News Roundup: Don’t Expect Anything Real From Barr and Durham

Just another signal that nothing real is going on. – Normally the resignation of a single U.S. Attorney is no cause for concern or even much notice. But this one is different.

On Monday, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas John Bash announced his sudden resignation, effective this Friday. Bash, if you remember, is one of at least 5 U.S. Attorneys around the country who has been assigned by Attorney General William Barr to assist John Durham in his supposed Spygate/Obamagate investigation. Bash was assigned to this role shortly after it was publicly revealed that then-Vice Presient Joe Biden had personally participated in the illegal unmasking of General Mike Flynn during the waning days of the Obama presidency.

From the official DOJ release on Bash’s resignation:

SAN ANTONIO, Tex. – U.S. Attorney John F. Bash announced today that he will resign from the Department of Justice on Friday, October 9, 2020, at 11:59pm. U.S. Attorney Bash issued the following statement:

This Friday—eight years to the day after I first joined the Department of Justice—I will step down as United States Attorney for the Western District of Texas. Last month I accepted an offer for a position in the private sector and informed the Attorney General of my decision. I tendered formal letters of resignation to both the President and the Attorney General this morning.

The Attorney General has elected to appoint Gregg Sofer to succeed me as U.S. Attorney. Gregg is an inspired choice. He is a veteran Department of Justice attorney, serving first in the National Security Division at Main Justice and then for over a decade as a national-security specialist in our Austin office. In the latter role, he built a reputation as a dogged and tremendously effective prosecutor. In 2018, I selected Gregg to serve as our office’s Criminal Division Chief, where he designed and implemented significant improvements to our operations, oversaw thousands of prosecutions, and provided me with invaluable advice on a range of important issues and cases. Since early this year, he has served in Washington, D.C., as Counselor to the Attorney General. He will make an excellent U.S. Attorney.

Attorney General William Barr offered the following statement:

I offer my gratitude to John Bash for his service as United States Attorney for the Western District of Texas. Since 2017, John has successfully led one of the largest U.S. Attorney’s Offices in the country. John has made significant contributions to the Department of Justice, including his service on the Attorney General’s Advisory Committee. I appreciate his service to our nation and to the Justice Department, and I wish him the very best.

[End]

Folks, this is just another signal that you should not expect anything real to ever come out of the Durham “investigation.” Think about it: If you’re a U.S. Attorney and you are in the midst of really getting to the bottom of a literal coup d’etat, of what is without question the single most important political scandal in U.S. history, do you just up and resign to take another job?

Probably not.

There will be no perp walks from Mr. Durham. No indictments, no prosecutions, not even a “report” summarizing his findings. Durham is just another swampy guy playing out the string and hoping for a Biden win so he can just sweep what little he may have done to this point under that huge DC Swamp rug. Mr. Bash is just getting out while the getting is good.

You should do the same.

This is about to happen in Portland. – Having a communist Democrat idiot like Ted Wheeler as their Mayor is apparently not depraved enough for the majority of Portland residents. A new poll finds the incumbent buffoon running 11 points behind this:

From a story at Willamette Week:

Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler trails his challenger Sarah Iannarone by 11 points, according to a poll of likely voters conducted by DHM Research on behalf of the Portland Business Alliance.

The results were presented at a PBA meeting last week.

Wheeler polled at 30% to Iannarone’s 41%, with the remaining 29% of surveyed voters split between writing in a candidate (16%) or remaining undecided (13%). It’s an especially notable result given that the poll was not conducted by either campaign, though PBA is supporting the mayor. (The poll has a four percentage point margin of error.)

[End]

For those unaware, Iannarone describes herself as “the Antifa candidate.” Not kidding. Also note that the Portland Business Alliance, whose members have been so devasted by the unending riots allowed to linger all summer by Wheeler, are actually supporting the incumbent because Iannarone is such a repugnant alternative.

Portland is a lost city filled with lost people.

Can the federal courts save America? – They’ve been trying to do exactly that over the past few weeks, with appellate courts overturning a series of clearly anti-constitutional decisions issued by Obama judges related to voting and after-election day vote counting in a variety of potential swing states.

Monday saw another crucial case go the right way, this time in South Carolina. From story at RedState.com:

Late Monday afternoon the Supreme Court issued a “Stay” with regard to an order from a South Carolina federal district court judge who rewrote a provision of South Carolina election law due to the impact of COVID 19.

Judge Julianna Michelle Childs, an appointee of President Obama, granted an injunction for Plaintiffs preventing the South Carolina election officials from enforcing a provision of South Carolina election law requiring a witness signature on an absentee ballot envelope.   Judge Childs set for the relief being sought by the plaintiffs as follows:

The instant Motion seeks to enjoin four provisions related to absentee voting in South Carolina. Plaintiffs allege that the application of three of these provisions during the COVID-19 pandemic violates the United States Constitution and federal law and seek injunctive relief solely for the upcoming November 2020 General Election. The three provisions at issue include: the requirement that another individual must witness a voter’s signature on an absentee ballot envelope for the ballot to be counted (“Witness Requirement”).

After about 60 pages of legal sophistry, Judge Childs finally gets around to holding the same way every other Obama-appointed Judge has held — that COVID 19 changes everything.  Election law requirements that are fine without a pandemic, are unconstitutional infringements on the right to vote under the Fourteenth Amendment with a pandemic.  But everything will be fine again when Donald Trump is no longer running for re-election:

….the court GRANTS Plaintiffs’ Motion for Injunction as to the Witness Requirement and ENJOINS Defendants, their respective agents, officers, employees, successors, and all persons acting in concert with each or any of them, from enforcing the Witness Requirement set forth in S.C. Code Ann. § 7-15-380, and from enforcing the Witness Requirement set forth in any other South Carolina statutes, on registered absentee voters only during the November 2020 General Election occurring in the State of South Carolina.

But the Supreme Court’s emergency “stay” prevents Judge Childs order from being enforced — and does so in terms that make it absolutely clear the state election law on requiring signatures on absentee ballot envelopes will be enforced four weeks from now.

[End]

So, chalk up another win for truth, justice and the constitution.

Elections matter, folks. Judges matter.

Speaking of judges… – Ted Cruz had some interesting things to say about Chief Justice John Roberts and the series of inexplicable decisions he has issued over the past four years, always siding with the court’s liberal minority.

From a story at JustTheNews.com:

Texas GOP Sen. Ted Cruz says Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts “despises Donald Trump,” which accounts for a number of the decisions he had made from the top seat on the high court in recent years.

In an appearance on David Brody’s recently launched show “The Water Cooler,” Senator Cruz, an attorney and author of the new book “One Vote Away: How a Single Supreme Court Seat Can Change History,” told the host that “John Roberts has become the new Sandra Day O’Connor.”

Cruz said he agrees with Vice President Mike Pence, who in an interview last month, told David Brody that Justice Roberts has been a “disappointment to conservatives.”

However, Cruz believes that part of Roberts’ pivot away from conservative-minded jurisprudence is motivated by personal hatred toward the president. “I think it is personal,” said the senator.

“It is difficult to come up with two human beings more antithetical than John Roberts and Donald Trump, in every respect,” he continued.

Waiting for Barr and Durham: The 2020 Sequel to “Waiting For Godot”

Justice Department probe into Russia investigation could extend into late summer - CNNPolitics

In the last 48 hours we have discovered the following related to Spygate/Obamagate:

– The release of a series of text messages between multiple FBI personnel revealing that they knew the spying on the Trump campaign and efforts to frame General Mike Flynn were highly illegal and that they were so concerned about their own situations that they went out and purchased personal liability insurance policies in January, 2017;

– The revelation that the sub-source for Christopher Steele’s fake Dossier on Donald Trump was in fact a Russian agent and had been deemed by the freaking FBI itself as a “national security threat” as early as 2009. Despite this knowledge, James Comey and his FBI freak show allowed the Dossier to be used as the sole basis for no fewer than 4 fraudulent applications for FISA warrants to spy on the Trump Campaign, Transition Team and Administration;

– The fact that Hunter Biden, while his dear old Daddy was squiring him all over the world to peddle influence to various nefarious characters, received a wire transfer from the wife of the former Mayor of Moscow for $3.5 million and several other wires of several hundred thousand dollars each.

In the face of all of these revelations in a 48 hour period, our national news media yawns and continues to pretend that President Trump is the guy with a Russia problem.

It was in light of these revelations and the Democrat/media’s current “peaceful transfer of power” hoax that I wrote a piece on Thursday asking “When do we get Our Peaceful Transfer of Power for 2016?” because that is something we never received from Obama and his evil minions, who are still today running a shadow government operation designed to regain the presidency. Joe Biden is just the bumbling meat suit face of that effort.

The next question to ask is, when are any of the people involved in this never-ending coup d’etat effort going to be held accountable by William Barr, John Durham and the Department of Justice? We found out on Thursday that Durham did in fact take over the investigation of all the myriad crimes of the Clinton Foundation from do-nothing U.S. Attorney John Huber early this year, as has long been rumored. But, just as with his plodding Spygate and Obamagate investigation, we have seen no fruit from that effort, despite Barr’s promises that such fruit would be borne by the end of summer.

Oops. We are now three days past that deadline.

I had an email from a friend in DC last night saying that rumors are flying that something’s going to happen today. That would make some sense in a very DC Swampy kind of way, given that Fridays are traditionally the day when when the Swamp’s snakes and skunks love to make big news so it will dominate the Sunday talk shows. But we’ve heard those rumors many times before and have been let down each and every time. Waiting for John Durham to actually do something is like the old movie “Waiting for Godot”. We keep waiting, but Godot never arrives.

Meanwhile, we are about to have an election in less than 6 weeks and well over half of the country still does not know a thing about any of this thanks to the wall of silence by the corrupt national news media. The only way to break through that wall is for Durham and his investigators to start breaking down doors and performing some very public perp walks of high profile figures like Comey and Strzok and Brennan and Clapper, all of whom have become major TV stars over the past few years.

It would be like arresting the cast of “Love Island” – even the GenZ-ers would have to pay some attention here.

Sundance over at TheConservativeTreehouse posted a piece last night speculating that Barr and Durham have now decided that the political atmosphere has just become too toxic to add indictments into the mix. Thus, Sundance speculates that Barr is using Sidney Powell – who released the FBI text messages – and the various Senate committees – who released the revelations about Hunter Biden and Steele’s Russian sub-source – to get all of this damning information into the public domain without drawing fire in on their own position from the news media.

If true, we have a word for that kind of skullduggery: Chickenshit. Sorry for the semi-profanity, but that’s what such an effort by Barr/Durham would be.

If Durham really does have the goods on these people, and really does have hundreds of sealed indictments waiting to be unsealed, then election timing simply should not even factor into his and Barr’s equation. Because if Durham really has the goods, that means that there are treasonous criminals who planned and executed a literal coup d’ etat effort on U.S. soil roaming free as birds right now. It would also mean that half of American voters are about to cast votes for the next president without being in possession of real knowledge about any of this.

That would be an incredible travesty of justice, and a stain on their reputations that Barr and Durham could never wash off. If they really do have the goods, the only time to act is now.

I’m not going to hold my breath waiting for Godot to finally arrive, though.

That is all.

Barr/Durham Produce Bupkis on Spygate, but DOJ Remains Productive on Other Fronts

Just a reminder that today is the last day of summer, which represents the deadline that Attorney General William Barr set for the American public to finally see the bearing of some fruit from the John Durham investigation into Spygate and Obamagate. Barr has been non-committal about whether that fruit would come in the form of a report, or in spectacle of the unsealing of indictments and arrests of some of the players.

Obviously, Mr. Durham is not going to produce a report today or anytime soon. Any such report would have been leaked by now to the New York Times and Washington Post as the result of the sieve-like vetting process within the Department of Justice. Given the lack of any rumors flying around this morning, it is also apparent that Durham won’t be making any arrests on this particular day.

Thus, Barr’s “end of summer” deadline will pass quietly, just as all of his earlier fake deadlines passed without event. As of midnight tonight, it will be safe for us all to assume that Durham and Barr will next use the looming elections as their excuse for further delay. No word on what excuse they will come up with after President Donald Trump wins re-election on November 3, but we can be sure they’ve already thought about that.

But the Barr/Durham inaction on the coup d’etat front doesn’t mean there is nothing good happening at the Justice Department. This morning, news broke that the DOJ has now formally designated New York City, Portland and Seattle as “anarchist jurisdictions” that are now subject to revocation of billions of dollars in federal funding.

From a report at the New York Post:

New York City was among three cities labeled “anarchist jurisdictions” by the Justice Department on Sunday and targeted to lose federal money for failing to control protesters and defunding cops, The Post has learned.

Portland, Ore., and Seattle, Wash., were the other two cities on the list, which was approved by US Attorney General William Barr.

“When state and local leaders impede their own law-enforcement officers and agencies from doing their jobs, it endangers innocent citizens who deserve to be protected, including those who are trying to peacefully assemble and protest,” Barr said in a statement set to be released Monday.

“We cannot allow federal tax dollars to be wasted when the safety of the citizenry hangs in the balance,’’ the AG added.

“It is my hope that the cities identified by the Department of Justice today will reverse course and become serious about performing the basic function of government and start protecting their own citizens.”

White House Budget Director Russ Vought is set to issue guidance to federal agencies on withdrawing funds from the cities in less than two weeks.

[End]

As noted by the Post, the DOJ action is in response to an executive order issued by President Donald Trump a few weeks ago:

The “anarchist’’ designations come after President Trump earlier this month issued a memo ordering financial retribution against cities that have been slashing their police budgets during crime waves, or tolerating violent protests sparked by the May killing of George Floyd by Minnesota police.

At the time, New York Gov. Cuomo infamously reacted by warning Trump he should watch his step in the state. “He better have an army if he thinks he’s gonna walk down the street in New York,” the Democratic governor said. “He can’t have enough bodyguards to walk through New York City, people don’t want to have anything to do with him.”

The Big Apple made the Justice Department’s list in part because its City Council approved a budget in July that cut $1 billion from the NYPD’s $6 billion annual budget — even as murders and shootings in Gotham soared.

In July, the number of shootings in New York City skyrocketed 177 percent over the same period last year, and there was a 59 percent rise in murders. In August, city shootings soared 165 percent, while murders jumped about 50 percent.

The Justice Department said it also considered the fact that at least some of the city’s district attorneys have declined to prosecute people arrested for disorderly conduct and unlawful assembly during recent protests.

[End]

So, while Barr now appears to have abandoned any effort to truly correct the two-tiered system of justice that the DC Swamp has established over the past quarter century, at least he continues to be productive in other areas.

No doubt the three cities named on Sunday will file court challenges to this DOJ action, and no doubt they will find some Obama appointee in Hawaii  or somewhere else in the 9th Circuit’s jurisdiction to issue a national injunction. But, if the President appoints and the senate confirms another constitutionalist to the Supreme court over the next 43 days, this policy will no doubt become successful and be expanded other anarchist Democrat cities like Minneapolis and Chicago.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of people.

That is all.

Are Barr and Durham About to Finally Drop a Hammer?

Next Monday is the last day of summer, Mr. Barr. – I note that this morning because back in August, Attorney General William Barr famously stated that John Durham’s investigation would bear some fruit before summer was over. Barr repeated that prediction in more than one interview, in fact.

Well, we’re pushing it right up to the deadline, and Durham has produced diddly squat, to use a common flyover country colloquialism. No indictments, no arrests, no midnight raids of elderly people’s homes of the sort made popular when Robert Mueller and his gang of thugs effectively ran the DOJ from May 2017 through March 2019. Not even a “Durham Report” which at this point would have value only in the sense that it would serve to inform the curious among us, which of course would exclude the entire national news media establishment.

Barr made a somewhat whiny speech at an event sponsored by Hillsdale College on Wednesday. In that speech he complained about career DOJ line prosecutors – the lowest level of prosecutor at DOJ – of often being out of control “headhunters” who go after individuals for mainly political reasons. You don’t say, Mr. AG? What tipped you off on that one?

Mr. Barr did not, however, go onto explain why, in his 20 months as AG, he has done nothing to resolve that problem. You know, like maybe fire some of those problem employees. Most likely, the answer is that he has not done that because doing it would be politically difficult. The entire corrupt media establishment would go after him with its collective hair on fire, just as these Democrat toadies will go after him and Durham should Durham ever actually do something real. Like, you know, prosecute the treasonous traitors who spent three solid years trying to execute a coup d’etat on U.S. soil.

The Democrat/Media Axis of Propaganda already has its narrative in place: Any move by Barr/Durham at this point to actually attempt to exact a little real justice will be portrayed as “election interference” by the same media establishment that studiously ignored the Obama Administration’s spying on the Trump campaign and attempts to fix the election for Hillary Clinton in 2016. Those efforts went right up to Election Day that year, and once the election had come and gone, were immediately turned into an outright coup attempt.

That’s all clear on the public record now, and millions of Americans are fully aware of it. As is pretty much always the case in America today, the truth is exactly the opposite of what our Nazi-style media says: By doing nothing, Barr and Durham are in fact influencing the election in favor of the Democrats who are guilty, including Quid Pro Joe Biden himself.

Even with all of his do-nothingness thus far on Obamagate and Spygate, Barr does continue to show flashes of wanting to do the right thing. In that same speech, for example, Barr referred to the China Virus lockdowns and mask order as being “the greatest intrusion on civil liberties in American history” outside of slavery. Truer words were never spoken. But again, what is DOJ doing to push back on the despot governors, mayors and county judges invoking those patently unconstitutional order?

During an interview with Martha MacAllum on Fox News this week, Barr confirmed what I and others have been writing about for years now, that George Soros is subverting the American justice system by funding corrupt district attorneys who simply refuse to enforce the law. Interestingly, when Newt Gingrich made the same exact point on Fox’s “Outnumbered” show yesterday, he was silenced by the CNN-ish host and other panelists:

The New York Times has a breathless piece this morning bashing Barr for advising prosecutors to consider pursuing sedition charges against rioters and those who organized the riots during a meeting last week. In the same meeting, the Times alleges that Barr also “asked prosecutors in the Justice Department’s civil rights division to explore whether they could bring criminal charges against Mayor Jenny Durkan of Seattle for allowing some residents to establish a police-free protest zone near the city’s downtown for weeks this summer…”.

Good for him, if true. Of course, the Times story is based purely on anonymous “sources” who may or may not exist, so there is no way to know whether the news-faking paper of record just made the whole thing up.

But if it is true, it shows that Barr retains the right instincts, though he still has a problem taking action on them.

Interestingly, pretty much every other major media outlet has its own Barr-bashing report out this morning. A Google search reveals pieces including original reporting from CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal, all going after the Attorney General for some instance or another of straying from the Democrat/Media preferred narrative. These are not just pieces echoing the New York Times – they all include their own themes and perceived Barr missteps.

What this looks like is a classic effort by the Nazi-style propaganda outlets to set a narrative in advance. That indicates to me that all of these corrupt media outlets believe that Barr and Durham are indeed about to drop a hammer or two soon. Maybe even on or before Barr’s self-imposed deadline of next Monday.

That would be nice.

That is all.
