Latest Democrat/Media Narrative: The White House is Hogging all the Tests

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Here’s the most absurd question from President Trump’s press conference during which he bragged about all the testing we can now do, and further bragged that we will be able to do even more going forward. Which of course was a waste of time that fell on deaf ears in the corrupt, low IQ White House press corps.

I have no idea who this apparent 12 year-old “reporter” is, but she is utterly typical of the corrupt news media in America today. Watch as the President makes this very silly person look even sillier:

Transcript:

Child Reporter: There does seem to be a double standard here, Mr. President, where members of your own staff can get tests frequently when they need it, but ordinary Americans cannot. So, when will the rest of America have the same access that members of your own staff have?

Trump: Yeah, and you know what? If we didn’t get the tests, if we did no tests in the White House, you’d be up complaining, ‘why aren’t you getting tests for the White House?’ See, we can’t win, because if we didn’t get the tests you’d be up – I understand you very well, better than you understand yourself – and frankly, if we didn’t get tests, then you’d be up complaining about the fact that we didn’t have the tests. So, now that we’re doing so well on tests, so quick and so fast, 5 minutes, etc., and so accurate, you’re complaining that we’re getting too many tests. So, we can’t win.

[End]

That is the perfect response, and he’s 100% correct. For the past six weeks, since the fake “we need thousands more ventilators” hoax was resolved by the revelation of video of a New Jersey warehouse filled with thousands of ventilators still wrapped in their original boxes that New York City didn’t need after all, the media/Democrat hoax narrative has been to pound on a mythical shortage of “testing,” even though pretty much no one in the Democrat Party or the corrupt news media even knows how all those millions of tests would be used, or what useful information they would provide.

In fact, the entire motivation around the ‘MOOOOOOOORE TESTINNNNNNNGGGGG!!!!!” narrative was literally to produce the rapid increase in the number of diagnosed cases we have seen in recent weeks, so that the corrupt media could produce stories claiming that Republican governors were opening up their states despite the data indicating a – you guessed it – ‘sudden rise in infections.’

So, now our country has spent billions on producing millions more test kits, and this child reporter wants to shift the narrative how all those ugly, heartless Republicans in the White House are hogging all the tests! Obviously, the President had been prepared for that very question and knocked the answer out of the park.

But he’s right: He and his staff cannot win with the corrupt news media, which is always going to shift over to the next hoax narrative at the behest of their Democrat masters whenever any perceived “problem” has been resolved.

This nitwit reporter obviously wants America to be in a situation now in which every hypochondriac in the country can just run down to the nearest testing center anytime he or she has a headache or a cough. Even the scaremonger Dr. Fauci has been adamant that people should only be tested if they are showing clear symptoms that are typical for this specific virus.

It should be patently obvious to any person with functioning synapses in their noggins that the White House is a special situation. The country must have a functioning executive branch of the federal government, and that branch is going to cease functioning if both the President and Vice President are holed up in their bedrooms for weeks at a time.

Any legitimate news organization would take this child reporter and designate her for zoo and mall opening duty after asking such a putridly idiotic question at a presidential press conference. But given the ethically-devoid state of our current corrupt media establishment, she’ll probably get a raise for dutifully parroting the latest talking points memo from the DNC.

That is who these people are, and it is what they do.

That is all.

No More Daily Wuhan Virus Task Force Briefings – Will America Survive?

The Mid-Day Campaign Update

UPDATE: Naturally, about an hour after I posted this piece, the White House reversed itself and called a Task Force briefing to begin at 5:00 ET. Mark Steyn, guest-hosting the Rush Limbaugh show, seems to think the President is going to simply make a speech. We will see.

Somehow, I think we’ll all be ok. – The White House announced this morning that, for the 3rd straight day, there will be no special press briefing by the Coronavirus Task Force this evening. The corrupt members of the White House press corps, all but a few of whom function as agents for the Democrat Party, have now gone into outright panic over seeing their daily opportunity to grandstand for the TV cameras while arguing with and interrupting the President of the United States suddenly evaporate.

That, of course, was always the major flaw with the format of these briefings. Once you give this collection of sociopaths, hacks and general reprobates a shot at being on camera, they will always, without exception, abuse that opportunity as a means for self-promotion. That reality, combined with President Trump’s inability to avoid speculating and getting into interminable exchanges with corrupt reporters like Jonathan Karl, Jim Acosta, Yamiche Alcindor and Paula Reid, ultimately robbed these briefings of any real informational value.

The capper came following last Thursday’s briefing, during which Bill Bryan, Under Secretary for Science and Technology at DHS, detailed the results of a study that demonstrates that heat and sunlight help to kill the Wuhan Virus. Instead of focusing on this very positive news and asking questions designed to obtain as much information about the study as possible, the corrupt reporters instead focused other subjects and then spent the next 3 days promoting the false narrative that the President had advised the public to drink Clorox and inject Lysol.

So, you combine an undisciplined President with an utterly corrupt press corps, and this is the inevitable outcome. Which is too bad since, during their first 2-3 weeks, these daily press briefings had actually consistently delivered very useful information to anyone who watched them live. But even that benefit had long since passed, as the briefings ultimately became platforms for the President and Vice President to repeat the same statistics and advisories over and over again.

Presumably the President will return to his habit of engaging the corrupt reporters during meetings in the White House or as he leaves to travel aboard Marine 1. Today, for example, he has invited the press to be present when he holds a meeting with various major business leaders.

This format is vastly preferable for one overarching reason: The reporters never get their faces shown on TV. This mutes their ability to engage in shameless self-promotion and renders them far easier to control. It also makes it much easier for the President and others to ignore irrelevant questions.

Again, this is all too bad, but it is what it is. It’s as much President Trump’s fault as it is the fault of the press, but the reality is that if we had anything resembling an ethical press corps none of this would have become a problem.

At the end of the day, the country will somehow survive without its daily dose of Yameche Alcindor or Jon Karl.

That is all.

Cirque du Trump: It’s the Greatest Show on Earth

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

I swear I do not make this stuff up. Who could? – You could never make it up – never in a million billion gazillion years.

I kid you not: The President of the United States of by-God America was asked by some doofus reporter yesterday evening if he was planning to pardon…wait for it…oh, you have to wait for this one…JOE freakin’ EXOTIC!!! Yes, this guy:

What life is like for Joe Exotic in jail

You don’t have to believe me, you only have to believe your lyin’ eyes and ears:

Reporter: These ratings hits, aside from these briefings, there’s a show that’s called “Tiger King,” and the man who’s the star of this is a former zoo owner who is serving a 22-year prison sentence. He’s asking you for a pardon, saying he was unfairly convicted. Your son yesterday jokingly said he was going to advocate for it. I was wondering if you’d seen the show and if you have any thoughts on it, pardoning Joe Exotic.

Trump: Which son? [smiling] Must be Don.

Reporter: It was.

Trump: [smiling] I had a feeling it was Don. Is that what he said? I don’t know, I know nothing about it. 22 years for what? What did he do?

Reporter: He allegedly hired someone to murder an animal rights activist. He said he didn’t do that and he was, uh…

Trump: You think he didn’t do it? Are you on his side?

Reporter: Well, I…

Trump: Are you recommending a pardon?

Reporter: Ah, no, I’m not advocating anything like that…

Trump: As a reporter, you’re not allowed to do that. You’d be criticized by these…[points at Acosta] Would you recommend a pardon?

Acosta: Uh, I’m not weighing in on Tiger King…

Trump: I wouldn’t think you would, I don’t think you would. Go ahead, you have a question. [To first reporter] I’ll take a look.

Acosta: I do like Joe Exotic [well, of course he does]

Trump: [Reporter on front row holds up an image of Joe Exotic on his I-phone] Is that Joe Exotic? That’s Joe Exotic?

Acosta: Uh, let me get back to the coronavirus, Mr. President.

Trump: Yeah.

[End]

It’s the Greatest Show on Earth, folks. We are truly blessed to live in this day and time.

Meanwhile, in other, less entertaining news… – President Trump has a new White House Press Secretary, not that it really matters.

In case you missed it – and you can certainly be excused for doing so – Stephanie Grisham, who barely ever showed her face before the media during her brief time in the job, went back to serving as press spokesman for First Lady Melania Trump on Tuesday. Stepping into the job of White House Press Secretary will now be Kayleigh McEnany, a longtime communications expert who has most recently been serving in a similar role for the Trump 2020 re-election campaign.

Kayleigh McEnany - Wikipedia

As polished as Ms. McEnany is as a spokesperson, you will likely not be seeing too much of her in this role, much like Ms. Grisham. This is not a criticism of either woman, both of whom are perfectly capable of handling the pack of hyenas who make up the White House press corps.

President Trump, after watching Sarah Huckabee Sanders being abused and smeared by these clowns for a year and a half, decided early last year to simply become his own spokesman, and turn the White House Press Secretary’s job into more of a role of herding the media cats.

That has been a brilliant and highly productive move. Trump has, without any question at all, since become the most accessible president in the nation’s history since making that transition, often holding multiple press availabilities each day. He been so accessible during the course of defending the nation against China’s Wuhan Virus attack that he now has the petulant creeps on MSNBC and CNN whining every day that he has become too accessible. I kid you not: The coordinated talking point among the cable TV talking heads on Tuesday and Wednesday was that “the President has hijacked these Task Force press briefings.”

Think about that: This President is now literally being accused by corrupt media personalities of “hijacking” his own damn press conferences.

That’s how good he is at dealing with these shameless nitwits. He has them so discombobulated that they are utterly incapable of hitting back in any non-hysterical way.

It’s a beautiful thing to watch. As the President himself would say, ‘it’s the most beautiful thing we’ve ever seen. Many people are talking about it being such a great thing. No one’s ever seen anything like it.’ And he’d be right.

Enjoy it while you can, and work hard to make sure you get to continue enjoying it for four more years.

That is all.

The Coronavirus Press Conference Gives Us The Trump We Need To See More Of

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

If you missed President Trump’s press conference on the Coronavirus yesterday evening, you should take time to watch it. – The full stream of it can be found at this link: Full Trump Presser.

This was President Donald Trump at his best: Fully in command of the room and the facts, speaking in measured tones, obviously in charge of the situation. Other than some formal international ceremonies, it was with out doubt the most “presidential” event of his entire time in office.

He took every question from the enemies of the people assembled in the White House briefing room and provided measured and reasonable answers, even to those that were unreasonable or even idiotic, as several were. I mean, after all, he did call on April Ryan and that circus clown who writes for Playboy.

Even the jabs he took at Nancy Pelosi were measured in tone: He didn’t call her “Crazy Nancy” or question her sobriety – even though either or both would have been perfectly valid. Instead, he called her “incompetent,” which she clearly is, and truthfully stated that the depraved Speaker is working to politicize the Coronavirus situation.

The same was true of his reference to Chuck Schumer, who has behaved in an even more depraved fashion than Pelosi: The President engaged in no name-calling, no references to “Crying Chuck” or anything similar; just a truthful statement of regret about the Minority Leader’s efforts to endanger the American public for purely partisan reasons.

It was a brilliant press conference, one that had me wishing he would do more of these and fewer of the noisy press availabilities next to the whining rotors as he’s about to board Marine One. I fully get why he likes that model: It denies the preening peacocks in the corrupt press corps their cherished TV face time. In those events, the camera is always on Trump, never on the nitwits screaming their moronic questions.

The President is of course right to treat the media with scorn – it is what they have all richly earned in their demented behavior towards him and his administration. He was absolutely right to end the daily press briefings, given the abusive behavior by the reporters towards his own staff. He

Mr. Trump was also right to take the responsibility of dealing with the media on his own shoulders: This administration revolves around him and his thought processes, and he obviously wasn’t always able to communicate those thoughts to those speaking on his behalf. So he cut out the middle-man, and now typically does more than one press availability each day.

But part of the problem with those loud events next to Marine One is that the President always finds himself shouting. This creates a problem where tone is concerned. As he left the briefing yesterday, one reporter shouted that he should do more events in the briefing room. That caught the President’s attention, and he promised that he would do so.

That would probably be a good idea, because the President is powerful in that setting. Don’t abandon the helicopter setting altogether, but provide more of a mix of venues.

In this re-election season, it might be wise for the President and his team to give a nod to one of the main reasons why he has lost so many suburban housewives: It’s mainly due to his behavior and his tone, not necessarily his substance. Young mothers and grandmothers don’t want young children to be exposed to a President who always seems to be shouting, whether at the press corps at a loud and windy event, or in his postings on Twitter, where he also often seems to be figuratively shouting.

Those who contend that Trump should stop tweeting entirely miss the entire point here: It’s not the fact that he uses social media, but the manner in which he uses it that turns off many people who might otherwise be supporters. A significant percentage of these suburban women who have been trending Democrat over the past four years actually agree with most of the Trump agenda, but can’t stand the manner in which he communicates it much of the time. Appealing to this constituency and gaining more of their votes this year could well determine which party controls the House of Representatives after this year.

Communication matters. No one understands this better than Donald Trump.

The President has to stay active on Twitter because it provides him his only platform on which to communicate to the public without interference from the enemies of the people. Most of these women no doubt recognize that reality, and also most likely wouldn’t deny him the right to respond in-kind to the abusive behavior towards him by depraved Democrats like Pelosi, Schumer and Schiff.

Where he turns so many people off is when he resorts to seemingly gratuitous name-calling, and when he goes after ordinary people, as he did recently with the jury foreman in the Roger Stone trial. Yes, that woman most definitely lied on her jury questionnaire, and Stone should receive a new trial with a new judge as a result. But Roger Stone has smart lawyers working for him and doesn’t need the President attacking both the jury foreman and the judge in order to make his case. It’s just a needless fight that Mr. Trump would have been better off not picking.

Bottom line, if the public saw the President Trump we witnessed in that Coronavirus briefing yesterday evening every day between now and November 3, he would win in an epic landslide for the ages. After the last three years of constant controversy and upheaval, the public is craving a return to some level of normalcy.

Knowing that Bernie Sanders won’t and can’t give them that, and that the Democrats and their corrupt media toadies will do everything in their power to keep the chaos coming, it would probably be wise for the President himself to give it to them in spades.

That is all.

WATCH: Mick Mulvaney’s Epic Fake News Media Beat-Down

Today’s Campaign Update, Part III
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

This is the best entertainment you will experience this week. – Acting Chief of Staff and just general jack of all trades for this Administration Mick Mulvaney staged one of the most epic beatdowns of our fake news media mavens of all time by anyone not named Trump today. He is almost as good as the President is at this, and actually does it while speaking in complete sentences and without the roar of helicopter or jumbo jet engines behind him. He is without doubt one of the most polished and witty extemporaneous speakers you will ever see. If management at Fox News had a lick of sense they’d offer Mulvaney about $20 million to fill that now-vacant 3:00 ET time slot.

I don’t have time to do a transcript here, but just watch it – it is hands-down the best show on television:

Kill the White House Press Briefings Now

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Your fake news media in action! – The last couple of days have produced one of the fakest fake news stories in fake news media history, typified by this blaring headline in USA Today:  The Feds Lost – Yes, Lost – 1475 Migrant Children.

Of course, the first fake part of this story is the headline – these aren’t “migrant” children, they’re illegal immigrants who crossed our border in violation of our nation’s laws.  The story blames the problem entirely on the Trump Administration, yet these children are mostly unaccompanied minors allowed into this country by the outlaw Obama Administration beginning in 2015, under executive-ordered policies that were also in clear violation of U.S. immigration laws.

Once these unaccompanied minors entered the U.S. in violation of U.S. law, they were intentionally scattered all over the country by Obama’s evil minions at taxpayer expense, often flown first class to their destinations.  Once these illegal immigrants arrived at their destinations, they were registered with local officials of the Health and Human Services Administration, and then simply released into the general population.  Many were reunited with their illegal immigrant parents, some weren’t because – shockingly! – their illegal immigrant parents didn’t really want to be found by government authorities.

Is it really any surprise, then, that of the tens of thousands of unaccompanied minors allowed into this country under this illegal program, the government has lost track of 1,475 of them since 2015?  Wouldn’t this be completely expected, especially given the reality that a pretty good percentage of these parents are criminals who are going to do everything they can to hide from law enforcement?

This is a classic example of Josef Goebbels-style media propaganda, in which a statistic that is actually real is turned into a Big Lie that both ignores the cause and places the blame on some convenient boogeyman.  Goebbels would have blamed it all on the Jews;  our fake news media blames it all on Trump.

These people are disgraces to their dead profession.

Speaking of disgraces to the dead profession of journalism, CNN’s Little Jimmy Acosta, the dimmest bulb at the fakest news network in the history of mankind, was whining on his Twitter feed Friday evening:

So, he had to whine on his Twitter feed because he hasn’t been getting to get his whining done at the White House press briefings as often as he’d like recently.  Isn’t that terrible?  Don’t you feel awful for him?  No?  Yeah, me neither.

Look, I’m all for freedom of the press, but there is no reason why the White House – any White House – should ever hold a daily press briefing.  These briefings didn’t even begin until the 1970s – somehow, the Republic had managed to survive for almost two centuries without them.  The briefings became a daily thing for awhile during the Nixon Administration, in a failed effort to get Nixon’s message out through the news media of the time.  They were largely dropped in the Ford years but started on a daily basis again during the Carter presidency, and have continued with only sporadic interruptions since.

The briefings lost all meaning in 2009, when the fake news media decided to simply perform as pathetic lapdogs to their hero for 8 long years.  Obama could have ended them at any time he wanted to, and you’d have never heard a peep of protest from CNN.

In the Trump Administration, the briefings have devolved into nothing but forums for aspiring peacocks like Acosta to get his relished camera time and for belligerent dopes like April Ryan to throw out the most idiotic questions their tiny minds can come up with.  Trump’s two press spokesmen – Sean Spicer and Sarah Huckabee Sanders – are assaulted on a daily basis, cross-examined by hostile reporters who in fact consider them and the President they represent to be mortal enemies, and none of the Administration’s points of view are ever given fair treatment in any media reporting outside of Fox News or the editorial page of the Wall Street Journal.

Even worse, both Spicer and Sanders have been attacked in the most personal and ugliest ways in social media by the same fake reporters who spend most of their day inside the White House.  It’s to the point now where the relationship has become so hostile with some of the reporters – like Acosta and Ryan – that you really have to wonder how the Secret Service justifies continuing to allow them into the building.

I argued way back in January 2017 that the very best thing President Trump could do with these press briefings is to eliminate them because they serve no legitimate purpose anymore.  Every president has an obligation to keep the American people informed about the actions of their administrations, but no president has any obligation to allow a bunch of hostile enemies of their administration and personnel onto White House grounds on a daily basis.

There are any number of alternative means of getting information to the public that don’t involve placing Sarah Sanders and other White House personnel in harm’s way.  These include:

  • Social media;
  • Taking and answering legitimate questions in writing;
  • Daily press releases summarizing important events;
  • Regular recorded video or audio messages from the President and his senior people;
  • Frequent call-ins to televised news programs, even to CNN on occasion.

The President has obviously been advised by his communications team that continuing to work with the pathetic collection of banty roosters and cackling clowns that make up the White House press corps somehow makes the press coverage of his presidency more favorable.  I said last January that this is horrible advice, and nothing has changed since that time.  The only way this President’s message gets out to the people in any real way today is via his own Twitter account.

This is a very unconventional presidency and it requires the use of unconventional means of communications.  The daily press briefings are a relic from the past that represent a terrible model for today, and they need to be killed.

Here’s hoping that the fact that there have been only 10 in the last 32 days is the start of a trend.

Just another day in fake news media America.

That is all.
