The Day the White House Press Corps Went Full ChiCom Propaganda

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Thanks to Jonathan Karl for making my point for me. – I have repeatedly noted in recent weeks the fact that pretty much all of the big corporations who own all of the nation’s fake, corrupt news media outlets have been infected with ChiCom money and business interests just as America has been infected with the ChiCom-generated Wuhan Virus.

As if to emphasize that point for me, ABC News’s Jonathan Karl, the current head of the White House Correspondents Association (WHCA) invited a “reporter” from a Hong Kong-based media operation that is in fact majority owned by ChiCom interests, including a former propaganda officer for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to question the President of the United States of America.

Here’s an excerpt from a report at The National Pulse:

The Hong Kong/Cayman Islands based Phoenix Media is actually owned in large part by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and by a former CCP propaganda officer.

As of 2018, Phoenix Satellite Holdings was owned by Liu Changle (37.1% of shares). Changle is a “former PLA propaganda official who is close to senior Chinese government leaders”.

Changle previously worked as a propaganda officer for China National Radio (then known as the Central People’s Broadcasting Station).

A further 20 percent of the company is owned by Extra Step Investments Limited, in turn owned by China Mobile Hong Kong, which itself is owned by the Chinese government-owned China Mobile.

Eight more percent of the company is owned by China Wise Investment Ltd, owned by the Bank of China.

This means at least 65 percent of the company is owned by the government of China.

For journalist Youyou Wang to claim she works for a private company is an outright lie.

[End]

Karl, one of the most execrable hacks in the entirety of the corrupt press corps, obviously hoped that the planted propagandist could entrap the President into giving some sort of controversial answer that would generate negative fake news stories. But Trump, as is his habit, immediately caught onto the ruse and called the ChiCom out.

Watch this clip, followed by a transcript:

Transcript:

Trump: [The ChiCom government] has agreed to spend $250 billion, many billions of dollars in our country, much of it going to farmers and manufacturers. So, I’ll let you know – I hope they’re going to honor the deal, I’ll let you know.

ChiCom Propagandist: Are you cooperating with China?

Trump: Who are you working for, China? Are you with China, are you with a news paper? Who are you working for?

ChiCom Propagandist: I don’t work for the…Hong Kong Phoenix TV.

Trump: Who owns that, China? Is it owned by China?

ChiCom Propagandist: It’s based in Hong Kong.

Trump: Is it owned by China? Is it owned by the State?

ChiCom Propagandist: No, it’s not, it’s a private owned company.

Trump: Yeah, ok.

Look, I’ll let you know. I’ll give you a good answer in a few months. I want to just see what they do. Because it’s time for them to help us. It’s time, right now, for China to help us. And hopefully they do. And if they don’t, that’s ok, too. But we signed a deal, it was signed with great good will and spirit. And it’s time that our farmers benefitted, that our manufacturers benefited, and we’ll see whether or not that deal is honored.

I think it will be because I know President Xi, who I like and respect. I think he will honor the deal he made with us. It just went into effect four days ago. I would … we’ll see whether he does or not. In fact, I called up, just a little while ago, I said, how are the farmers doing with respect to China? Are they buying the product as anticipated? And the answer was, yeah, I think so, but it wasn’t the most positive. But it was starting, the deal was just getting started. So, I’ll let you know.

For many many years, China ate our lunch because we had people in this position I’m in right now that allowed China to get away with absolute murder.

ChiCom Propagandist: [tries to interrupt with a question about the virus]

Trump: [ignores her] But we are now dealing with China and we’ll see what happens.

[End]

Now, it wasn’t the most controversial of exchanges because President Trump quickly realized who he was talking with. But I wanted to memorialize it here because it captures the moment when the White House press corps, which includes all of our nation’s major corrupt media outlets, went full-on into the tank for a clear and present enemy of our country.

We are at war with China whether the media wants to admit it or not. The ChiCom government intentionally and with clear malice attacked us and most other nations of the world with a virus that will end up killing thousands and very likely causing the most severe global recession since the Great Depression.

Inviting this propaganda agent for the ChiCom government is no different than if the WHCA had brought in a Nazi or Japanese propagandist there in 1943, or a Russian propagandist into the White House during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

President Trump told the nation in January of 2017 that these corrupt and highly-compromised media operations were the enemies of the people. Yesterday, Jonathan Karl and the WHCA went out of their way to unambiguously prove that point. This was the moment when the thin veil came completely off.

There is no worse, more destructive class of people in our country than the members of the WHCA and the media operations that employ them.

That is all.

The Week in Revew: Democrats/Media Shift Focus Away From Robert Mueller

The Campaign Update Week in Review

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

This was the week that the media/Democrat narrative mysteriously shifted away from Robert Mueller. After a couple of weeks of renewed, post-election focus on Mueller and his fake “investigation”, the media/Democrat axis of propaganda suddenly shifted to climate change, and then back to the border issue, and the 5,000-plus “migrants” from Central America overwhelming the infrastructure and public patience in Tijuana, Mexico.

This is very odd, since the Climate Scam is where the American Left always goes whenever it has run out of anything else to say. “Climate Change” is always their issue of last resort because of its nature as an ever-evolving set of theories that conveniently allow the scammer to blame literally anything that happens in our daily lives on “Climate Change”.

All those people fighting over cheap TVs at your local Wal-Mart on Black Friday? Climate Change. Riots happening in Paris, France? That’s not caused by tax protesters, it’s caused by Climate Change. Record, bitter cold across the midwest and northeast? Climate Change – never been cold up there before. Your car wouldn’t start yesterday morning? Climate Change. Brian Stelter’s disappearing hairline? Climate Change.

It’s all Climate Change all the time, and that’s why the Axis of Propaganda invariably ends up focusing on it for at least one week every year because all of their other fake narratives have come up a crapper.  Thus, this week, a week when it became increasingly obvious that Robert Mueller has a huge bag of nothing where President Trump is concerned and is continuing to systematically wrap up his 19-month witch hunt, the media and their Democrat masters fell back on their old, reliable fright tactic.

The fake news media has also been forced to report on migrant invasion happening at our Southern border after a couple of weeks of attempting to ignore a story that is hugely damaging to Democrat interests. With even the media now admitting that more than 75% of these giant “caravans” consist of military-aged males, many of whom are known violent gang members, and with President Donald Trump tweeting and talking about it each and every day, the post-election effort to simply ignore it became impossible to maintain.

There are reports this morning that several hundred of the migrant army in Tijuana will attempt to storm the border crossing there later today, so CNN will gladly report on that, hoping to get films of violence that are that fake news network’s stock in trade. Of course, CNN will only air any such video if it can spin the shots negatively against U.S. Border Patrol and military personnel who will be there to turn back the invasion.

Which is what this is.  An invasion.

Let’s go to the rest of this Week in Review:

  • It was the week that all the focus on Climate Change and the migrant invasion took preening CNN peacock Jim Acosta right out of the news cycle, and that was a glorious result. America needs more of this.
  • It was the week that Oklahoma beat West Virginia by a score of 59-56 in a college football game in which neither team’s defense apparently ever took the field of play.
  • It was the week that yet another Obama-appointed federal judge ruled that President Trump, as opposed to all other presidents in U.S. history, lacks the authority clearly given to him in the text of the U.S. Constitution.
  • It was the week that the Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, the man who twisted himself into legalistic knots in order to impose Obamacare on our populace, lied to the American public by claiming there is no difference between an “Obama judge” and the judges appointed by other presidents.  Shame, Justice Roberts, shame on you.
  • It was the week when the White House Correspondents Association ended the tradition of having a bad comedian speak at its annual Dinner, giving yet another win to Donald J. Trump.
  • It was the week that our fake news media invested tons of its air and print time once again trying to convince the American people to care about the killing of a radical Islamist blogger who used to go to dinner parties hosted by editors at the Washington Post. The effort failed. Again.
  • It was the week that President Trump correctly chose to refuse to destroy our country’s key strategic relationship with Saudi Arabia over the killing of a radical Islamist blogger who the Saudi government considered to be an enemy of the state.
  • It was the week that Broward County’s Supervisor of Elections, Brenda Snipes, having tried and failed to steal the state’s senate election for Democrat Bill Nelson and the governor’s election for Democrat Andrew Gillum, tendered her resignation in disgrace. Now, if there is still any justice left in Florida, she will be prosecuted.
  • It was the week that Democrats expressed their outrage at all the subsidies and tax breaks given by the states of New York and Virginia to secure the new Amazon regional headquarters sites, while in their next breath confirming their support for subsidies and tax breaks for solar and wind power and billionaire Elon Musk.  *sigh*
  • It was the week that British Prime Minister Theresa May took her “Brexit” deal to European Union headquarters, a deal that will essentially keep Britain under the EU’s despotic thumb. To no one’s surprise, the EU approved. Sellout is Theresa May’s middle name.
  • It was the week that French Prime Minister Emmanuel Macron, barely a week removed from denouncing Donald Trump and populism at a summit conference in Paris, saw riots break out on the streets of Paris and his personal approval rating fall to below 20%.
  • Meanwhile, in America, it was the week that President Trump saw his approval rating in the daily Rasmussen survey tick up to 51% and stay there.

There’s a message in there somewhere – wonder if the Boy Prince of Paris can see it through all the smoke rising along the Champs Elysee’?

That is all.

By Failing to Police its Own House, the WHCA is Destroying the Press Corps

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

No comedian at the Nerd Prom?  So, just like last year, then. –  The White House Correspondents Association (WHCA) announced on Monday that this year’s White House Press Dinner will feature presidential biographer Ron Chernow rather than another of the horrible, un-funny “comedians” that had become its tradition.

This is all a backlash to the despicable performance delivered at last year’s nerd prom by Michelle Wolf, who parlayed the national attention gained from that night into a Netflix show that lasted about 15 minutes before it was cancelled because nobody was watching. True to form, Wolf responded to yesterday’s news exactly how one would expect:

Speaking of shameless attention-seekers, I’m old enough to remember when Kirsten Powers was not certifiably insane. – CNN commentator Kirsten Powers told that network’s depraved audience that all white women who voted for Donald Trump are racists, and no one at CNN blinked an eye since she made her remark on the show hosted by raging bigot Don Lemon. But the comment did result in a major backlash on Twitter, because of course it did.

Powers, who has made a habit of saying all manner of outlandish things on CNN in recent months in her ongoing effort to become relevant to the depraved Democrat voter base, responded to the backlash with this tweet:

Here’s the thing: Kirsten actually thought that tweet made things better. She really did. Get some professional help, Kirsten.

Ocasio Cortez Watch:

Ok, so, Trump was right, right?  Right. – California Governor Jerry Brown, facing a human tragedy of unimaginable proportions, quietly proposed legislation that would implement sweeping changes to the management of forests in the Golden State.

In doing so, Brown abandoned his specious claims that the massive and deadly wildfires his state has seen in recent years are caused by “climate change”, and basically admitted that President Donald Trump is right to point the finger at the idiotic forest management policies that result from that cult-like belief in climate dogma. Brown’s new bill will allow the logging of larger trees and building of new roads without obtaining permits, along with other measures designed to thin the forest undergrowth that has grown out of control and which provides the kindling and fuel for the massive and rapidly-moving fires seen in California over the past decade.

The death toll from this latest outbreak of major fires rose above 80 on Monday, with more than 1,000 citizens still unaccounted-for. Those deaths are the legacy of Gov. Brown and the radical environmental movement towards which he has spent the last 8 years pandering. It is a crying shame that it took this level of human loss to convince the Governor to finally, at long last do the right thing and begin managing his state’s forests again. Incoming Governor Gavin Newsome, who, along with Brown toured the devastation with President Trump over the weekend, has inherited a giant mess. It remains to be seen if he is a serious enough person to adequately deal with it.

So, it’s gonna be cold? That’s global warming, too. – The National Weather Service is predicting record cold temperatures throughout the Northeast over this Thanksgiving weekend. The same climate cultists who insist we should not attempt to manage forests will also insist that those record cold temperatures are due to “global warming.” Or something.

Meanwhile, back at the White House… – The White House press office fully restored CNN performance artist Jim Acosta’s press pass on Monday, resulting in the dismissal of CNN’s lawsuit over the matter.  At the same time, the White House issued a simple set of rules for Acosta and his fellow tantrum-throwing fake journalists to follow at future press briefings:

  • A journalist called upon to ask a question will ask a single question and then will yield the floor to other journalists.
  • At the discretion of the President or other White House official taking questions, a follow-up question or questions may be permitted; and where a follow up has been allowed and asked, the questioner will then yield the floor.
  • Yielding the floor” includes, when applicable, physically surrendering the microphone to White House staff for use by the next questioner.
  • Failure to abide by any of rules may result in suspension or revocation of the journalist’s hard pass.

That’s all well and good, but basically, the right answer for the White House lies in what I have been advocating in this space since March, 2017: Stop holding formal press briefings, period. The President alluded to this possibility in his interview over the weekend with Chris Wallace, and to their great credit, the White House has already cut back on the number of briefings Sanders conducts, holding only a handful each month since July.

The right thing to do here is to notify the WHCA that the next breach of decorum by an Acosta or April Ryan or any of the other preening peacocks who loiter around the White House grounds each day will result in the immediate suspension of all briefings until the press itself has properly dealt with the offender. In fact, by raising that scenario with Wallace, President Trump has essentially issued that fair warning.

There are myriad ways in today’s high-tech society for the White House to satisfy its duty to keep the American people informed of its daily activities on their behalf. The holding of formal briefings so that peacocks like Acosta can preen and squawk for the cameras is not required and frankly not even among the better means of living up to this duty.

Just as limiting or eliminating their ability to satisfy their need for attention is the most effective way for parents to deal with their acting-up toddlers, it is also the most effective way for the White House to deal with acting-up reporters. The very fact that a set of rules for decorum had to be written and published is proof of that reality.

But it all became necessary due to the failure by the WHCA to properly do its job and police its own membership, just as the change in format for the Nerd Prom was needed due to the failure of the WHCA to properly control its featured speakers. The truth is that the WHCA is an association of “professionals” who refuse to enforce professional standards of behavior on their own membership. When that happens, someone in authority has to find a way to do that job for them.

What we saw on Monday was the result.

That is all.
