No, Rush Limbaugh Didn’t Do a Chris Christie on the Trump Legal Team

No, Rush Limbaugh did not slam the Trump legal team. – Mediaite is one of the more odious leftwing web-based “news” outlets. Its entire model is producing short pieces with inflammatory headlines that attract clicks, similar to an array of other clickbait fake news sites on both the right and the left. I won’t name names, but many readers will know exactly who on the right I’m referring to.

On his program yesterday, Rush discussed the situation with the Trump Legal Team vis a vis Sidney Powell, and the joint press conference they all had last Thursday.  During that segment, Rush talked about the fact that he’d had lots of emails and texts from friends and listeners expressing disappointment over the fact that the lawyers did not deliver any blockbuster hard evidence during that presser. He closed with this statement: “They promised blockbuster stuff, and then nothing happened,” again quoting from one of the notes he had received.

I happened to be listening to that segment and thought nothing of it. But the hacks at Mediaite saw an opportunity and ran with it, posting a 120-word story that contained this headline:

No doubt it attracted a ton of clicks, given that it contained the names of both Rush and Trump and claimed Rush was turning on Trump and his legal team as beached whale Chris Christie did on ABC’s “This Week” program Sunday Morning. As is typical on leftist Twitter, Mediaite’s story was immediately re-tweeted by all of the blue-check Democrat activists who pretend to be journalists and went trending before Rush’s show even ended.

But what Mediaite alleged did not happen. Not at all. A read of the full transcript clears that up entirely. In fact, Limbaugh took time to clear things up later on his show, and his own site titles the transcript of that part of the show “I’m Not Doing a Chris Christie on the Trump Team.”

Here’s an excerpt:

RUSH: That’s Governor Christie. Now, I need to share with you that Mediaite, which has no love lost for me or this program, has already run a story, the headline of which is: “Rush Limbaugh Slams Trump Legal Team: ‘They Promised Blockbuster Stuff and Then Nothing Happened.’”

And they get it right in the sense that this was said by me in the context of the Sidney Powell story. And the only point that I made, folks, just if you run into this and you think that I’m in the process of doing a Governor Christie on the Trump team, I’m not. The point that I made was about that press conference specifically. And I shared with you that I had a number of friends who had written me echoing a thought that I had.

If you’re gonna promise blockbusters like this. I had one friend tell me he was giddy during that press conference, the whole hour when Rudy started, then Jenna Ellis and then when Sidney went, he thought that what was going to follow was evidence, some hacker that they had found or somebody they had found that had the evidence of what they were talking about. He said to me that when you do a blockbuster press conference like that, when you are telling people that you’ve got blockbuster, fire hose type of evidence — I was expecting to hear some. And I didn’t. And I shared those thoughts with people.

And Mediaite has typed it up here as though I personally am slamming the Trump legal team. You might want to interpret it that way. Maybe you can. But I was watching it expecting something big to come out of it. But I’m still waiting. That’s the difference. I have not given up that there isn’t something. The more you look into what happened, when you look at the way Horowitz, as I just shared with you, frames what happened here, I mean, you would have to work really hard to believe there wasn’t any fraud here.

And then when you look at the usual suspects who are doing everything they can to make fun of the notion that there was fraud, trying to downplay it and trying to tell people you’re silly. There couldn’t have been fraud. They couldn’t have done this, that’s the wrong attitude to have about this. We need to get to the bottom of what happened, and if it was not fraud, then that’s all the better. But we can’t have this much, this many allegations and this much circumstantial evidence of which there is a lot.

[End]

Go read the rest of it – you’ll be better educated and informed for doing so.

And don’t trust anything Mediaite and other clickbait “news” sources report on Twitter and their websites at face value, because the truth often has no relationship at all to what the headline of the story claims.

That is all.

Tuesday News Roundup: The GSA Concedes, but Trump and His Legal Team Fight On

Emily Murphy, Director of the General Services Administration, conceded on Monday that it is likely that Joe Biden/Kamala Harris “won” the November 3 election, and authorized the beginning of the formal transition process.

This administrative move means basically nothing in the grand scheme of things. The election remains up in the air and the Trump legal team, which scored wins in Michigan and Pennsylvania yesterday, will “keep up the good fight,” as the President himself said in a tweet:

The President’s statement that Murphy has been “harassed, threatened and abused” is no doubt true given that we’re talking about Biden-voting Democrats and their despicable media toadies here.

So, Biden and his team will start getting their briefings, and the transition process will move ahead, and it will amount to just more DC Swamp Kabuki Theater signifying nothing. The same Kabui Theater took place for both George W. Bush and Al Gore during the weeks-long controversy and recounts in Florida that followed the 2000 election.

This is what our country does.

Boy, are Bernie Sanders and AOC shocked and disappointed. – China Joe Potato Head Biden continues to build out his incoming globalist-infested team. If Sanders, AOC and Elizabeth Warren thought they were going to pressure Biden and Designated Successor-Elect Harris to construct a cabinet and group of “Czars” filled with revolutionaries,  they are no doubt thoroughly disappointed by what they have seen thus far.

On Monday, Biden’s team of handlers named former Federal Reserve Chairman Janet Yelen to be his Treasury Secretary. He also named the very French surrender monkey John Francois Kerry to be his “Climate Czar.” So, basically, he’s rebuilding the Obama team that gave us the Paris Climate Accords, the Iran Nuclear Agreement and 1% economic growth into perpetuity.

Other than the whole re-focus on the Church of Global Climate Change religion, this is not at all what Democrat Party radicals had in mind. Hell, Fauxcahontas wanted to be Treasury Secretary herself. Imagine the warpath she is cutting this morning. Yelen in that post will represent very little change in status quo other than a steadfast opposition to cutting taxes.

Kerry gets to resume his preferred lifestyle, that of a wandering envoy who gets to live in the finest hotels Central Europe has to offer and negotiate global agreements that surrender American wealth and national security, all funded and paid for by the U.S. taxpayer. You can expect to see scenes of Lurch meeting with Iranian counterparts at outdoor cafes in Paris, Davos, Budapest and Vienna very soon.

Some key wins for the Trump Team. – Meanwhile, despite all of its turmoil, the Trump Legal Team scored victories in two states yesterday:

From a story at PJMedia:

The Michigan state legislature has agreed to hold a hearing about election irregularities in the state. In addition to this development, a federal appeals court has agreed to an expedited election review in Pennsylvania.

“We are grateful to Michigan House lawmakers for not rushing to certify inaccurate election results,” Trump campaign legal adviser Jenna Ellis told Just the News. “We are confident they will share the same concerns once they see the extent of the outright fraud and disregard for the law that happened in Michigan and across the nation. Every American should want to know the truth.”

Ellis also responded to the U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals ruling that Trump’s “motion for emergency expedited review is granted at the direction of the court.”

“We are grateful to the Third Circuit for accepting an expedited review,” Jenna Ellis said.

The news comes on the heels of federal judge Matthew W. Brann dismissing the Trump campaign’s lawsuit against Pennsylvania Secretary of the Commonwealth Kathy Boockvar on Saturday.

“There was no legal reason to deny our amended complaint, other than pure politics and judicial activism,” Ellis continued. “This was an Obama-appointed judge whose opinion was rife with errors. We hope the appellate court will recognize that and properly give us our day in court. The American people deserve for us be able to bring forward our witnesses and evidence showing election fraud — this is at the heart election integrity and fundamental fairness.”

[End]

As discussed here yesterday, the need for speed in these cases is crucial, and the Pennsylvania case is hurrying right along towards a date with the Supreme Court, where all of this will ultimately be decided. It is key that the Supremes have time to render their decisions in whatever cases they agree to hear before December 14, when the Electoral College will meet to cast the votes of the electors, none of which will be mailed in.

So, good news all around in those two cases.

The COVID Panic Porn is coming at us hot and heavy now. – Take a look at these clips from CNN and MSNBC as examples:

So, eat alone, and if you don’t eat alone, at least turn your music down so nobody sings. Hooboy.

Meanwhile, Quantas Airlines and the German government provide more stark warnings of what all of this panic porn ultimately leads to:

You don’t have to believe me – Just look at what’s already happening in Oregon:

From the Washington Times story:

Oregon Gov. Kate Brown wants residents to call the police on their neighbors over violations of the state’s latest coronavirus shutdown, which includes a six-person limit on in-home gatherings.

The temporary “freeze,” which went into effect Wednesday, restricts indoor at-home and social gatherings to six people from no more than two households, with no exceptions for Thanksgiving dinner get-togethers.

In a Friday virtual interview with KGW-TV, Ms. Brown agreed that Oregonians should contact authorities if they see their neighbors hosting more than six people.

“Look, this is no different than what happens if there’s a party down the street and it’s keeping everyone awake. What do neighbors do? They call law enforcement because it’s too noisy,” the Democratic governor told KGW. “This is just like that. It’s like a violation of a noise ordinance.”

Those committing infractions could face misdemeanor penalties of up to 30 days in jail, fines of up to $1,250, or both, according to the governor’s executive order.

[End]

To paraphrase the fascist Gov. Brown: look, this is no different than what Hitler urged German citizens to do when they discovered Jews hiding from the Gestapo and the SS.

If you think this is as draconian as these aspiring Central American banana republic dictators are going to get, well, you are in for one hell of a surprise.

That is all.

Democrat House Managers Leave the Door Wide Open for the Trump Legal Team

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

The Democrat/media/Deep State Axis of Propaganda is in full swing. – Watch as former Clinton bag man and career propagandist George Stephanopoulous gets caught live on air attempting to cut off video feed of Trump Lawyer Jay Sekulow debunking the Democrats’ impeachment scam:

This is what Republicans are always up against with the corrupt news media. It’s been this way pretty much since the advent of television, in fact. So, while ABC/NBC/CBS/CNN/MSNBC have shown us play-by-play of the entirety of the Democrats’ ridiculous impeachment scam, with hour upon hour of Adam Schiff, Jabba the Nadler and the other house manager freak show guest stars, you can bet you will not see the same kind of wall-to-wall coverage of the Trump legal team presenting its case.

But that’s just part of the deal here. The Trump legal team is staffed with guys like Sekulow who know all of that and will be prepared.

And here’s the thing: That legal team has a golden opportunity to completely outshine the house managers and their endless repetition of a set of arguments so specious that any real judge would laugh them out of court. Schiff and company were out of new things to say about mid-day on Wednesday. Since then, their strategy has been to pound on the same array of stupidity and dishonesty over and over again, which has to be grating on the nerves of even the Democrat senators at this point.

So what are they doing to do today? Repeat the same old nonsense several more times, in an effort to make their pitifully inconsequential case appear to be more beefy by consuming the entire 24 hours allotted to them under the rule adopted for this trial. There are a lot of people in the Senate who are grumpy by nature – the house managers won’t want to be anywhere near them when they are finally done with this mindless Kabuki dance.

The President’s legal team will no doubt begin their part of this show on Saturday by offering a simple motion to dismiss, given that the Democrats have yet again utterly failed to demonstrate any real wrongdoing by President Trump. Assuming that motion fails – which at this point may or may not be a safe assumption – Trump’s lawyers should make their rebuttal case as vigorously and as efficiently as possible.

If it takes 24 hours to fully make that case, then fine, take the full 24 hours. But if the case can fully be made in 18 hours, or 12 hours, or 6 hours without the actual facts and arguments having to be repeated over and over again, then rest the case in 18 or 12 or 6 hours. Don’t make Chuck Schumer have to argue with the imaginary friend who keeps taking his chair any longer than he has to, and you might even pick up some votes to acquit by some of the Democrats’ nursing home contingent, like Pat Leahy and Dianne Feinstein.

Bottom line here: The Democrats are intent on taking their full 24 hours for the literal sake of filling 24 hours of time. President Trump’s legal team should take the time it really takes to make their case, and then let it rest.

That is all.
