Evelyn Farkas: So Sleazy and Amoral That She’s Running for Congress

Evelyn Farkas is back in the news today, and boy, isn’t that just so great? 

You may remember this raving nutjob from way back in March, 2017, when she made an appearance on MSNBC which became big news for a very brief period of time. I knew I had written about this sleazy Obama operative then, so I went and looked it up.

Here you go:

But was her son, Scut, involved?  What about his toady, Grover Dill?:  Speaking of stories you can’t find, a former Obama official named Evelyn Farkas told Mika Brzezenzski (or however you spell that name) on MSNBC early in March that she and many other Obama officials had indeed participated in an organized effort to circulate raw surveillance intelligence involving members of the Trump Transition Team, and had gladly shared the intel with members of the fake news media, unmasking some American citizens in the process.  She told this all to MSNBC gladly, and in a manner that made it obvious she is in fact proud of her actions.  She apparently did not understand that, in the process of that interview, she was potentially admitting to the commission of multiple felonies by herself, other Obama officials and members of the fake news media.  Thus, the fake news media has been jointly sitting on this story hoping it would just fade away.  Trouble is, the story has been getting a ton of attention in the realm of talk radio this week, so suddenly Ms. Farkas felt the need to go back on cable TV on Thursday to deny everything she had told Mika.  And her friends in the fake news media will nod their heads and move on.  Nothing to see here, all is well.

Yeah, remember her now? Is it all coming back to you?

Well, guess what? That little episide landed her in front of the House Intelligence Committee, which was run by honest Republicans at the time, for behind-closed-doors testimony. As it happens, despicable Democrat Adam Schiff had been sitting on the transcript of her testimony until yesterday, when DNI Ric Grenell forced ol’ Bug Eyes to release it and 52 others to the public.

Not surprisingly, when forced to discuss her MSNBC appearance, this amoral, ethics-devoid Obama loyalist (aren’t they all amoral and devoid of ethics, after all?), when faced with potential perjury charges, essentially admitted everything she had said in her first TV appearance was in fact a politically-motivated lie. Which no doubt appalled Mr. Schiff.

As reported by Sean Davis at The Federalist, here is the key excerpt from her transcript:

But Farkas sang a different tune under oath when questioned by lawmakers about what she actually “knew” about collusion.

“Why don’t we go back to that sentence that I just asked you about. It says ‘the Trump folks, if they found out how we knew what we knew about their staff dealing with Russians,” Gowdy said. “Well, how would you know what the U.S. government knew at that point? You didn’t work for it, did you?”

“I didn’t,” said Farkas, a former mid-level Russia analyst who left the federal government in 2015.

“Then how did you know?” Gowdy responded.

“I didn’t know anything,” Farkas said.

“Did you have information connecting the Trump campaign to the hack of the DNC?” Gowdy asked.

“No,” Farkas admitted.

“So when you say, ‘We knew,’ the reality is you knew nothing,” Gowdy asked later during the deposition.

“Correct,” Farkas responded.

Gowdy didn’t stop there.

“So when you say ‘knew,’ what you really meant was felt?” he asked.

“Correct,” Farkas answered.

“You didn’t know anything?” Gowdy continued.

“That’s correct,” Farkas responded.

Oh, but here is the best part: This sleazy, amoral, ethics-devoid political operative for America’s Worst Mistake, Barack Hussein Obama His Own Self, is now of course the Democrat Party’s nominee to become the congressional representative for New York’s 17th district.

You could never, never, never, ever make this stuff up, folks. Not in a billion, octillion years.

Tuesday Produced a Cluster Boom in the Nation’s Capitol

Those loud noises you heard last night were bombshells dropping all over the nation’s capitol.  –  Every day the last four years has been a busy news day, but it’s hard to remember one as busy as Tuesday. Let’s review some of the action:

Get ready for Hillary III – She’s running, and no one should doubt it. Expect her formal announcement shortly after the Oct. 15 debate in Ohio. Here she is, talking about doing it:

Look, I know this is distasteful, but it’s pretty much inevitable at this point. After all, she no doubt sees her best shelter from looming prosecutions as coming from the corrupt media, which is protecting Quid Pro Joe with the ludicrous rationale that any Democrat running for the presidency is somehow immune to prosecution. You will see why she needs such protection in a moment. For now, just know you need to gird yourself for another year of the Grasping Grifter cackling, coughing and fainting on your TV screens as she mounts a third, and hopefully final, bid for the nation’s high office.

The Barr/Durham investigation expands its scope. – And now you know why the Fainting Felon will be tossing her hospital gown into ring soon. Based on what their investigations into the origins of the FBI/CIA illegal spying on the Trump Campaign and Trump Transition Team have revealed, the DOJ is now expanding this investigation to include a look into the origins of the Rosenstein/Comey/Mueller coup attempt that germinated in the early months of 2017.

Speaking of Robert Mueller, it appears he perjured himself in his congressional testimony a few months ago. –  The ex-American Gestapo Chief, er, “Special Counsel” told congress that when he met with President Trump a day before he was appointed to that position by Oily Rod Rosenstein, he was not interviewing for the FBI job. But now multiple people present that day are letting it be known that was at least Mueller’s pretense for being there that day:

“My understanding was I was not applying for the job,” Mueller said on July 24. “I was asked to give my input on what it would take to do the job.”

John Dowd, who served as the president’s attorney during the probe, ripped Mueller for meeting with Trump, calling it the “most dishonorable conduct I have ever witnessed.” He added, “Capt. Robert Mueller, USMC, sits in front of his commander-in-chief being interviewed for FBI director knowing he is going to investigate the president and never says a word.”

“Dishonorable Conduct” is Robert Mueller’s middle name.

White House finally sends its letter to Pelosi. – Readers of the Campaign Update knew this was coming last Thursday,  and the White House finally got around to sending it on Tuesday:

The White House outlined in a defiant eight-page letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and top Democrats on Tuesday why it will not participate in their “illegitimate and unconstitutional” impeachment inquiry, charging that the proceedings have run roughshod over congressional norms and the president’s due-process rights.

…

“President Trump and his administration reject your baseless, unconstitutional efforts to overturn the democratic process,” the letter stated. “Your unprecedented actions have left the president with no choice. In order to fulfill his duties to the American people, the Constitution, the Executive Branch, and all future occupants of the Office of the Presidency, President Trump and his administration cannot participate in your partisan and unconstitutional inquiry under these circumstances.”

Cool.

Turns out Ukraine actually revived its investigation into Hunter Biden’s pay for play operation this past January, seven months before the President’s phone call with Zelensky. – The great real reporter John Solomon laid that bombshell out on Sean Hannity’s show last night:

A newly unearthed document shows that Ukrainian officials had opened a new probe into the firm linked to Hunter Biden months before President Trump’s phone call with that country’s leader, Fox News contributor John Solomon reported late Tuesday.

Solomon said Tuesday on “Hannity” that the U.S. government knew Ukraine was planning to look again into activities at Burisma Holdings, an energy company that employed then-Vice President Joe Biden’s son as a member of its board of directors, early this year. The report is noteworthy because President Trump has been accused by Democrats of threatening in July to withhold foreign aid to Ukraine unless its new president pursued an investigation into the company and the younger Biden’s role there.

Of course, the fake news media will do everything it can to cover this inconvenient truth up, but the reality is that it completely destroys any notion that President Trump engaged in any sort of qui pro quo on his call with Zelensky.

All the President needs now is a good trial lawyer to lay his case out before the Senate should the House actually approve articles of impeachment, and hey, guess what? He has one.

Trey Gowdy will join the Trump defense team. – Many conservatives will have a problem with this, given their disappointment in Gowdy’s lack of results during his congressional probe of the Benghazi scandal several years ago. Like many members of congress, Gowdy gained a reputation for being all bark and no bite, as it were.  Then again, most people simply don’t understand how powerless a congressional committee really is in the face of an utterly corrupt Justice Department like the one run by Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch for Barack Obama.

So, you’ll see people bitching and moaning about that all day today, and that’s fine. Some folks just need to vent.

But here’s reality: Trey Gowdy, before he ran for congress, was one hell of a prosecutor. In fact, he was undefeated in that role. Remember also that he served on two key House Committees during the years when the DOJ/FBI/CIA cabal was attempting to fix the 2016 election and then mounting its Mueller-led coup d’etat attempt.

Gowdy knows the truth about all of that – he has already seen everything that Barr and Durham are currently investigating, and knows what they’re going to find. Do you think, knowing what he knows, that Gowdy would agree to join the effort to defend the President and give up that cushy job as a highly-paid contributor for Fox News if he did not know he will win the case?

This is a big deal. Yesterday was a real inflection point in this whole sham.

Boom.

Trey Gowdy Warns Us Not To Expect Any BOOM From The Horowitz FISA Report

In case you missed it, plodding, thus-far-inept DOJ IG Michael Horowitz sent a letter to congress yesterday notifying key committee chairs that he has finally, at long last, completed the initial draft if his eons-awaited report on FISA abuse. The report now goes to Attorney General William Barr and swamp rat FBI Director Christopher Wray to begin the internal review process. That process will likely consume another month or so, maybe even longer, before the public will finally, at long last, be able to see the fruits of Horowitz’s glacially-paced labors.

This, of course will set the stage for all manner of leaking and self-puffery by the subjects of the IG’s report, including John Brennan, James Comey, James Clapper, Peter Strzok and Andrew McCabe, to name just a few of the Usual Suspects who the public record already available clearly demonstrates defrauded the FISA court repeatedly during 2016-17.

It also sets the stage for wild anticipation and irrational optimism among Trump supporters who have been paying attention to all of this that Horowitz is somehow about to deliver the goods on all the participants in the Obama DOJ/FBI Cabal, the foundation that will result in all of them being tried for treason and shipped off to prison for the rest of their lives.

Like clockwork, former prosecutor and ex-congressman Trey Gowdy appeared on Sean Hannity’s show last night to caution everyone to cool your heels and tamp down your expectations. Below is a video clip of that appearance, with a partial transcript to follow:

 

Here’s a partial transcript for those of you who still like to read stuff:

Gowdy: “It’s hard to convince 12 people of anything – I used to have to do that for a living. It’s tough. You’ve gotta dot every I and cross every T.

“Candidly, it is more difficult if it is a high-profile defendant. So, if they go forward with McCabe, it’s going to be a tough trial. You don’t want the U.S. government going to trial and losing on a regular basis. They lost the Greg Craig case, and that’s not good. If you’re going to go to trial, you need to win.”

Hannity shifts the subject to the IG Report producing indictments:

Gowdy: “You have to find a criminal statute if your objective is indictment. That is why I’m very clear every time I appear on your show that we cannot live in a society where an indictment is the only thing that carries any stigma [valid point there –  more on that at the bottom of this piece].

“Most of the names in this FISA abuse process have already been fired or publicly called to task. Jim Comey, twice now, the IG said ‘you did not meet our expectations. You failed to follow policy. You violated your employment agreement.’ All of that has to be significant.

“I used to try to make representations in court, and I tried real hard to be honest and fair about it. But let’s assume that I didn’t tell the court something. The remedy for me is not indictment. The remedy is I may lose my law license, I may be held in contempt.”

[Hannity interrupts, which is what he is good at, but makes a good point about the use of the unverified Dossier as the basis for the FISA warrants being a conscious fraud on the court, which it was. Repeatedly.]

Gowdy: “Well, if you were a lawyer, you’d lose your law license, and the court could hold you in contempt. You would be held in contempt of court, absolutely and you can go to jail for that. But I don’t know that lawyers who make factual misrepresentations in front of judges get indicted. You’re gonna get punished, you’re gonna be held in contempt, you may get sent to prison.

“I’m not minimizing anything they’ve done. I’m saying we’ve gotta attach the right punishment to the right offense.”

[Hannity visibly angry now: “But by signing that, they’re denying an American citizen their constitutional rights. They’re literally using that lie to spy on a presidential candidate, and then transition.”]

Gowdy: “Aha! We’ve identified a statute! Using the color of a government official – it could be a 1983 action. And that’s all I’m saying – we have gotta match up the conduct with an official code violation. What you just laid out is a 1983 violation.  Now, we’re getting somewhere!” [Note: U.S. Code Sec. 1983 allows prosecutors to pursue a civil action against anyone acting “under color of law” to deprive an American citizen of their civil rights. It is not a criminal statute.]

[Hannity: “I’ll send you Greg Jarrett’s list, he’s identified a whole bunch of violations.”]

Gowdy: “Don’t sent it to me, send it to Bill Barr.”

[Hannity dissembles about not knowing Barr. Interview ends.]

So, if you’ve been reading all those Twitter-based tick-tock conspiracy mongers and and watching Hannity air the same program every night for the last 18 months, leading you to believe the IG’s report was going to lower the BOOM on all the participants in the Obama Cabal, well, sorry. Trey Gowdy, a former prosecutor who never lost a case is here to tell you to dampen those expectations and go watch some football this weekend instead.

Finally, let’s review this passage of Gowdy’s comments:

Of course, Gowdy’s absolutely right there. Public stigma used to be a vital aspect of punishing bad actors like the Cabal participants whenever the government couldn’t succeed in actually prosecuting them under criminal statutes.

The problem, though, is that that stigma no longer exists for anyone who is opposed to President Donald Trump. That stigma can only exist if our society has a real, working news media establishment that is willing to lay out the truth of their acts to the public and shame them for it. Our fake new media no longer serves that function related to anyone opposed to Trump. In fact, those bad actors are not only NOT shamed by the media, many of them are handsomely rewarded by the media with big “contributor” contracts. Witness Andrew McCabe, John Brennan, James Clapper as prime examples.

Peter Strzok and Comey were fired, but then were rewarded by the media with big book deals. Strzok and McCabe were both able to collect hundreds of thousands of dollars from demented leftists when they set-up online funds for their legal defense. On and on the depravity on the political left and in our fake news media goes.

So, while what Gowdy says there used to be correct in a U.S. society of decades ago, it is utterly irrelevant in today’s world. Absent indictments – or, as Gowdy repeatedly implies in this interview, being held in contempt by the FISA court and spending jail time for that – all of these co-conspirators will just keep laughing all the way to the bank with money largely provided them by our fake news media.

Sad, but true.

Watch Trey Gowdy and Mark Meadows Discuss FBI/CIA Effort to Entrap Papadopoulous

A couple of Fox News interviews Sunday and Monday morning serve to emphasize how important it is for President Donald Trump to declassify documents thus far withheld by the Mueller Investigation and the FBI under its “sources and methods” catch-all used to hide up embarrassing evidence from the public. The evidence discussed in these clips is transcripts of tapes made of FBI/CIA efforts to entrap Trump campaign operative George Papadopoulous in 2016.

The first clip is of Trey Gowdy being interviewed Sunday morning by Maria Bartiromo.

Here are some of Gowdy’s key comments:

“If the bureau is going to send an informant in it’s going to be wired and if the bureau is monitoring telephone calls there’s a transcript of that. And some of us have been fortunate enough to know whether or not those transcripts exist. But they haven’t been made public.”

“I think one [transcript] in particular is going, it has the potential to actually persuade people. Very little on this Russia probe, I’m afraid, is going to persuade people who hate Trump or love Trump. But there is some information in these transcripts that I think has the potential to be a game changer, if it’s ever made public.”

“[Texas Congressman] John Ratcliffe is rightfully exercised over the obligations the government has to tell the whole truth to a court when you are speaking permission to spy or do surveillance on an American. And part of that includes the responsibility of providing exculpatory information or information that tends to show the person did not do something wrong.”

“If you have exculpatory information and you don’t share it with the court, that ain’t good. I’ve seen it, Johnny has seen it, I’d love for your viewers to see it.”

The second clip is from a Monday morning interview Congressman Mark Meadows conducted on Fox and Friends addressing the same topic. This one has closed captioning along with it, so you can read it while viewing with the sound off.

What these two interviews do is just emphasize what we already knew: That these documents and many more simply must be declassified if we are ever going to get to the truth of what happened during the months in which the Obama FBI/CIA cabal was spying on and attempting to entrap members of the Trump Campaign and Transition Team.

Meadows said he has talked with President Trump about declassifying the documents, and that the President is serious about doing it soon.

“I think the delay is over,” Meadows said. “I think the president is serious. I’ve spoken to him recently and I think declassification is right around the corner and hopefully the American people will be able to judge for themselves.”

We’ve heard that repeatedly for months now, without result. If the President really is going to declassify documents, he needs to stop talking about it and just get it done.

The Depravity of the Democrats is Destroying America’s Soul

Hey, remember when, a decade ago, Climate alarmists were saying that children being born at the time would never see snow? Yeah, fooled them, huh?

 

Trey Gowdy finally finds his sweet spot. – Fox News announced yesterday that it is putting former South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy on contract as a paid contributor. This is the perfect landing for Gowdy, who proved in his congressional career that pontificating and criticizing others is all he really does well. Never has any Republican member of the House spent more time making awesome-sounding statements while doing pretty much nothing effective to follow up on them than Gowdy.   Gowdy was born to be a talking head on television. [Note: The original version of this piece said that Trey Gowdy is the grandson of legendary sportscaster Curt Gowdy. That is incorrect.]

Project Kamala, Phase 2 kicks in over at the Washington Post. – As I told you on Tuesday, the joint media/Democrat project to deal with Kamala Harris’s “Willie Brown issue” was underway and very predictable.  First, you have Brown do an interview in which he admits it all, right after she kicks off her campaign, and then the fake news media steps in to declare it “old news” and attack anyone who tries to bring it up in the future.

Right on cue, Washington Post columnist Monica Hesse wrote a piece on Wednesday in which she declares the “love life” of any “powerful woman” “off-limits” henceforth.  See, you’re a sexist if you try to hold a Democrat woman to the exact same standards as the fake news media holds any Republican.

From today forward, anyone criticizing Harris for having her career facilitated by her illicit lover will be assaulted by the fake news media using Hesse’s line of reasoning.  Classic.

Democrat Depravity on the March. – You probably thought the ongoing efforts by leftist activists in and out of our fake news media to normalize pedophilia in the American mind was as low as they could go.  But then you saw that they’ve now moved on to trying to normalize infanticide, and you realized that they will never stop trying to define deviancy down.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo got the whole thing started last week when, upon signing a bill that allows for killing of infants even as the mother is in the throes of labor, he and New York City Governor Bill DeBlasio ordered the top of Freedom Tower to be lit up in pink as a celebration. I’m old enough to remember when then-President Bill Clinton liked to say that the Democrat Party wanted abortions to be legal, but rare. Now, they apparently want them to be legal and celebrated on the Ellen Show.

Not to be outdone in this ghoulish race to define deviancy down even further, Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam – who our fake news media hilariously describes as a “moderate” Democrat – told a radio interviewer Tuesday that he favors a proposed bill that would allow for a born infant to be “made comfortable” and set on a table while the mother and “doctor” talk about whether or not to murder it.  And make no mistake about it – “murder” is the only proper word to describe such a procedure.

The Virginia legislature at least has some conscience remaining even if its Governor does not, given that the bill did fail in subcommittee yesterday. But eight other states are now considering similar Democrat-sponsored bills, and the very act of publicly supporting such Nazi-like depravity on American soil tells us all we need to know about where the Democrat Party is headed today.

While they’ve always wanted to legalize such horrific acts, the leftist ghouls among us previously felt the need to carefully hide such thoughts from the public.  But today, seeing that there is zero price to be paid from our fake news media politically for promoting the sexual abuse of children and murder of fully born infants, they light up towers and do radio interviews in which they proudly express such views. Indeed, Cuomo, DeBlasio and Northam have all been widely applauded by c-list celebrities and blue-check “journalists” across social media for their “courageous” acts.

The Democrat Party today is an organization that is completely untethered to any code of moral conduct. As a Party, it no longer believes in the sanctity of human life, no longer has the slightest regard for the Constitution of the United States, no longer even believes in the importance of citizenship as a key determinant of voting rights. Democrat politicians as a class are happy to lie, cheat and steal their way into office and, like Governors Cuomo and Northam, and Mayor DeBlasio, increasingly willing to bare the depths of their amoral depravity in public.

If you vote for these people you are voting for the ongoing destruction of the American society, and of the American soul. It really is that simple.

Trey Gowdy and Adam Schiff Walk Into a Bar…

This is not working out the way the Democrat/Media Axis of Propaganda wanted.  Not at all. – The new NBC/Wall Street Journal poll released Sunday pegs President Trump’s job approval rating at 45%.  Why is that significant?  Because it is the highest approval level this particular fake media outlet poll has registered for Mr. Trump since he took office, and it comes after a week of the most focused, intense hit job led by the fake news media against any president in U.S. history.  Just one more reason why the Democrats stopped with their “Trump committed treason!!!!!” nonsense starting on Friday and went back to talking about hookers and playmates.

Speaking of things that aren’t polling well for the Democrats, how about that whole socialism thing, huh? – An ever-dwindling group of “centrist” Democrats who call themselves the Third Way held their annual meeting in Columbus, OH, on Thursday and Friday to try to come up with some sort of coherent agenda for the 2018 midterm elections.  Even though they all agreed that their party’s ongoing lurch to the far, far, far left is a bad thing, they very predictably failed in their quest.  You don’t have to believe me – just read these quotes from the Miami Herald’s coverage of the event:

“Let’s be clear,” Cowan said. “80s supply-sidism, 90s centrism and 60s socialism will not cut it for the era we’re in. We need something new and different.”

Many of those in attendance were careful not to directly criticize Ocasio-Cortez, saying they welcomed the new energy she was bringing into the party. But they also made clear that they thought her style of politics would be a difficult sell outside of her New York City congressional district, where the party must try to win over more conservative voters.

“A small but vocal subgroup that is unhinged from evidence will be wrong in the long run, regardless of how loud they are,” said Iowa state Sen. Jeff Danielson, in an interview.

But he’s not sure other members of his party will listen to his advice.

“We don’t know what we want,” he said. “We haven’t found our sea legs as a party.”

Ok, so Good Trey Gowdy got out of bed on Sunday morning, and awesomeness ensued. – One never knows what to expect out of South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy.  On any given day he appears to alternate between a “Good” version of himself who is a blunt, plain-spoken bulldog of a truth-seeker, and a “Bad” version of himself who is an almost insufferable apologist for even the worst actors at the FBI and DOJ, making many wonder if he is actually seeking a job over there at DOJ when he leaves his congressional seat at the end of the year.  Which honestly wouldn’t be a bad thing if only Good Trey Gowdy showed up for work every day.

On Sunday, Good Trey Gowdy got out of bed, went on Fox News Sunday, and had this to say:

“I have not seen one scintilla of evidence that this president colluded, conspired, collaborated, with Russia. And neither has anyone else, or you can rest assured, Adam Schiff would have leaked it,” Gowdy said. “That is why they have moved on from collusion on to obstruction of justice, which is now their current preoccupation.”

Even in today’s toxic, hyper-partisan atmosphere in the halls of congress, it is a rare thing indeed to see one congressman call out another for what is basically the commission of a crime on national television.   Somewhere, Cong. Schiff’s bugeyes were bugging out even more than usual when he saw that quote.  The sad thing is that everyone knows that what Gowdy said is the unvarnished truth, and that Schiff will get away with what he’s already done and just keep on leaking with impunity because he’s a member of congress.

But Gowdy wasn’t done yet, oh no.  Later in the same interview, he also managed to take shots at the Commie and Dianne Feinstein:

“BAIER: So, Trump supporters look at that, former CIA Director John Brennan, former FBI Director James Comey, what he said, what they’ve said. And they say they understand why the president feels a little inquisitive about where things are going.

GOWDY: Yes, Bret, you don’t even have to be a Trump supporter to be mindful of the fact that John Brennan thinks he’s guilty of a crime for which he can be hanged, that John Brennan thinks he should be in the dustbin of history, that Jim Comey thinks impeachment is too good of a remedy and Jim Comey now thinks that everyone should vote Democrat so Bernie Sanders will be the head of the budget committee and Dianne Feinstein will be the head of intel.

I mean, these are the people that were supposed to be dispassionately, objectively investigating a fact pattern and they have much animus against Donald Trump as anything I have seen in my eight years in politics.”

Good stuff.  Too bad Good Trey Gowdy doesn’t get out of bed every morning.  If he did, we’d be so much further along in this process of bringing the bad actors to justice.

Still, we should enjoy Good Trey Gowdy whenever he does show up, because he’s right on point, and entertaining as hell.

While Pelosi Dodders, House GOP Leaders Dither

Hey, remember when Democrats pretended to thing “ageism” was a bad thing?  Yeah, not any more.  – San Fran Nan, the 78 year-old leader of the Democrat minority in the U.S. House of Representatives, finds herself increasingly under bigoted attack over her advanced age from her opposition these days.  The hilarious thing about it, though, is that Ms. Pelosi’s “opposition” these days comes not from any right-wing forces, but from her fellow Democrats in the House.

Turns out the youngsters in the Democrat caucus are growing more than a tad frustrated over the lock on power exercised for more than a decade now by Pelosi and her fellow House Democrat leaders, Stenny Hoyer and James Clyburn, both of whom are also well into their late ’70s.  The latest dig at the Party’s retirement home leadership came on Wednesday from 50 year-old California Rep. Linda Sanchez, who was quoted as saying she wants to be part of a transition to a new set of Party leaders.

“I think it’s time for that generational change,” Sanchez told reporters Wednesday. “I want to be part of that transition, because I don’t intend to stay in Congress until I’m in my 70s.”  Yikes.

The Democrat plan had been to a) win back control of the House this fall; b) let Pelosi then serve one more 2-year stint as speaker; c) retain control of the House in 2020, allowing the then-80 year-old Pelosi to go out on top; and d) turn over the speakership to New York Rep. Joe Crowley, who would be a comparatively very young 59 years of age.  But of course, the 28 year-old socialist community organizer Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez threw a monkey wrench into those gears a few weeks ago by defeating the hapless Crowley in the party’s primary.

So, with no clear plan of succession, a political equation that increasingly looks as if the plan to retake the House is just another fake media-fed pipe dream, and a Minority Leader who can’t remember the name of the Senate Majority Leader she’s worked with for more than 30 years, frustration among the “younger” set in the Democrat caucus is closing in on the boiling point.  And there it will most likely remain following this year’s mid-term elections, since the Democrats are well along their way in the process of blowing their best chance in years to regain one lever of federal power by re-taking the House.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of people.

Speaking of ineffectual members of congress, it’s not just limited to those on the Democrat side of the aisle.  A group of GOP leaders in the House have now spent so many weeks whining on Twitter about the stonewalling of their various committee investigations by the FBI and DOJ that they are now in danger of being remembered as little than a collection of boys who cried wolf.

Those leading Republicans are:

  • House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte
  • House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy
  • House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes
  • House Freedom Caucus  co-Founder Jim Jordan

These gentlemen – all of whom are deserving of much respect from conservatives – have spent months now issuing subpoenas for documents, demanding witness appearances and setting deadlines that are never met while threatening to take punitive action, and then doing nothing when Rod Rosenstein and Christopher Wray inevitably give them the proverbial finger.

It was three weeks ago now that these guys – supposedly with the sign-off from Speaker Paul Ryan – threatened to pursue contempt and even impeachment action against Rosenstein if their document requests weren’t met in 7 days.  That 7-day deadline came and went – as have a long series of such deadlines since last fall – and the House has done exactly nothing in response.

The latest kerfuffle from these guys came on Wednesday, when the ex-lover of FBI Super Duper Agent Peter Strzok, former DOJ lawyer Lisa Page, simply ignored a subpoena from Goodlatte to come before his committee to offer sworn testimony over her role in the DOJ’s efforts to fix the 2016 elections in favor of Hillary Clinton.

Chairman Goodlatte and Rep. Jordan immediately took to their Twitter accounts in response:

Well, yes, and?  What?  With all due respect, gentlemen, what are you going to do?  Is this it?  At long last, has the majority party in the U.S. House of Representatives become so de-fanged, so timid under its milquetoast establishment leadership that its only recourse to open defiance of its authority by deep state officials is to issue petulant tweets?  If it wanted to, the Judiciary Committee could hold Page in contempt and send the Capitol Police to her home to place her under arrest.  Why not do that?

But given that Jordan, just a few days after going after Rosenstein in a public hearing, found himself the target of one of the most blatant deep state hit jobs in modern history, maybe this is it.  After all, the most obvious intent of going after Jordan with un-provable – and un-disprovable – allegations that he ignored sexual improprieties by a long-dead wrestling team doctor while serving as an assistant coach at Ohio State University decades ago is to intimidate Jordan and anyone else thinking about going after Rosenstein and his fellow thugs at DOJ.

If that’s the strategy, it seems to be working.

The Democrats’ New Rules Aren’t Really Helping Them

It’s all Donald Trump’s fault!  He caused this!  Oh, wait… – When some nut job killed five people working at an Annapolis, MD newspaper on Thursday, many of the fake journalists who infest Twitter immediately knee-jerked to the conclusion that the tragic event was all the fault of President Donald Trump.  Then it turned out that this guy had had a running feud with the paper since 2011.  None of the fake journalists then backed up and blamed Barack Obama.  Go figure.

But wait, these are the rules you asked for, Congresswoman.  What’s the problem? – Mad Maxine Waters told the fake news media yesterday that she’s decided to cancel fundraising events in Alabama and Texas due to “serious” threats she’s received in the mail this week.  The Braying Buffoon is, of course, fresh off of a Saturday event at which she incited violence against members and supporters of the Trump Administration, and then several subsequent appearances at which she refused to pull her remarks back and simply reinforced them.

So, sadly, these are the new rules she’s said she wanted, and now she’s complaining about having to live under them.  Her fellow Democrats would do her a favor by joining with Republicans to force her out of the congress entirely and send her back to California to live in that multi-million dollar mansion she’s somehow been able to afford on a government salary.  That would get her out of the limelight and most likely put an end to any threats.  But doing that would require personal integrity on the part of those Democrats, so we know that’ll never happen.

Speaking of the new rules, more than 600 women staged a sit-in in the Hart Senate Office Building in Washington DC on Thursday in support of the Democrat/Media-fabricated “don’t separate the families!” issue on the border.  The Capitol Police stated that 575 of the women (don’t any of these people have jobs?) were arrested and carted off to local jails, where they will be arraigned and released and probably pay a minor fine.  Because that’s all we do to people who disrupt the nation’s business these days.

This weekend, there are several hundred such protests planned to take place in cities all over the country.  ABC Radio reported this morning that “organizers” expected more than 100,000 people to participate.

Let’s think for a moment about that that word “organizers” that ABC so casually tossed out to its listeners without any effort to identify who they might be.  Who are these “organizers?”  Who do they work for?  Who’s paying them?

ABC and their fellow fake news outlets want us all to just think that these are just a bunch of sweet little ladies and short, skinny guys with mustaches who “organize” such events out of the goodness of their little hearts.  They want you to think that these events are somehow organic, that they just happen due to the pressing demand from people who can’t wait to get out onto the street on hot summer days and carry signs with stupid slogans on them while chanting slogans that are even more stupid.

The truth is that these “organizers” are professional agitators in the same mold as Barack Hussein Obama, who did this stuff for a living before some domestic terrorists and radical preachers decided he should go into politics.  Indeed, the 28 year-old gal who got elected to congress in New York on Tuesday is nothing more than a professional “community organizer.”  These people are both the past and the future of your Democrat Party, folks.

What you’re going to see on Saturday is a bunch of events organized by these Obama clones, in which most of the participants are not local citizens but paid protesters bused into these cities in buses paid for by George Soros and big foundations with names like Park and Heinz and Rockefeller.   There’s nothing organic about them and they really have very little local support.

Saturday, then, is actually the kickoff of the Democrat Party’s campaign for the general election.  These events will probably be fairly tame, but you can expect them to become increasingly shrill and violent as Election Day approaches and it becomes increasingly obvious the Democrats are going to suffer an other loss at the polls.  Because this is all the Democrat Party is anymore.  If you vote for them, you are voting for the destruction of the American Union.

Speaking of people trying to destroy our Union, Rod Rosenstein and Christopher Wray testified up on Capitol Hill before the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday, and boy, was it a spectacle.

Not that anything new really happened:  Wray was his normal dissembling, ineffectual self and Rosenstein was his normal hostile, transparently lying self.  This is who these guys are, and what they do.

Trey Gowdy got in his five minutes of hyperbolic grandstanding, after which he will go and accomplish nothing of substance, because that is who he is and what he does, too.  It’s always inspiring to listen to him chastise these people as only he can do, but then reality inevitably sets in and you realize that that’s really all there is.

Jim Jordan got the best rise out of Rosenstein and that was fun, but at the end of the day, Rosenstein is just going to go on withholding key documents from the various congressional oversight committees, and Wray is just going to continue being a feckless leader who is doing pretty much nothing at all to reform the disgracefully corrupted FBI.

I would talk about the Democrats on the committee, half of whom are illiterate half-wits, but really, that’s all that ought to be said about them.

So, another all-day hearing during which nothing of substance was accomplished.  After the hearing, the full House of Representatives did vote along party lines to approve a resolution that DOJ produce the documents by next Thursday.  But the “resolution” is non-binding and fails to spell out any potential penalties for Rosenstein failing to comply, which will certainly be the case.

The reality here, of course, is that the House is not going to really do anything until and unless Speaker Paul Ryan is replaced by someone who possesses a set of gonads.  Because Ryan is the obvious block to any effective action, and as long as he’s the Speaker, the current stalemate will continue.

You Want a New FBI Director? How About Michael Horowitz?

Yes, because remember how much she did for Haiti.  Wait, what?  – In keeping with her life-long belief that there’s a sucker born every minute, the Pantsuit Princess has decided to use the media-generated fake border crisis as a fundraiser.  Yes, even though she isn’t technically running for anything right now, the Grasping Grifter, even at her advanced age, just cannot let a good fake crisis go to waste.

So she sent out a fundraising email yesterday to all of her millions of dimwit supporters, urging them to send her money to her new political organization, Onward Together, so these morons can think they are “doing something” by purchasing the Fainting Felon a new Lamborghini or whatever she plans to do with this latest batch of ill-gotten gain.  Because, hey, there really is a sucker born every minute, and they all voted for the Coughing Crook in 2016.

Here’s what the fake border crisis is really all about. – It’s not about soulless leftist ghouls who support Planned Parenthood’s trafficking in baby body parts suddenly caring about children, it’s not about the Trump Administration’s ‘zero tolerance’ policy, it’s not about wanting to keep families together or any of the nonsense First Lady Laura Bush included in her disgraceful op/ed in the WaPo yesterday (Japanese internment camps?  Really, Laura?  Who talked you into putting your name to that line of abject BS?).  Those are just the well-coordinated talking points on the matter agreed to by the Democrat Party and their propaganda agents in the national news media.

This is about what immigration fights are always about:  The Democrats want to turn our nation into just another third world country filled with people dependent on the government, and they believe the best way to do that is to flood the southern border with immigrants from third world countries.  This current effort is an attempt to destroy the rules that govern legitimate requests for asylum.  Those rules currently apply only to very specific life-threatening situations:  Democrats want to expand those rules so that they essentially will allow anyone in for any reason, including – you guessed it – poverty.

Think about it:  almost all of the people currently being held in these migrant centers are from central America.  They traveled well over 1,000 miles in an arduous journey through Mexico where, if they really needed asylum from a life-threatening situation, they could have sought asylum.

Did any of them do that?  No.  Why?  Because they don’t want asylum in Mexico, they want to live in America, where the government doles out benefits like no one actually has to ulimately pay for them.  Before they left their home countries, most of these “refugees” have in fact been trained by American social justice warriors on exactly what fake story to tell when they reach the U.S. in order to gain entry, an effort that began about half a decade ago during – you guessed it – the Obama Administration.

President Trump says that isn’t going to happen, “Not on my watch,” and more than 500 days into his presidency he has given us no reason not to believe he means it.  But there are a whole bunch of weak-kneed establishment Republicans up on Capitol Hill who will sell you all out in a heartbeat for any legislation that “solves” this issue.  So, you’d best all get on the phone and warn your congressman or woman to think twice.  Trust me, some of them really need the warning.

 

Meanwhile, up on Capitol Hill, DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz and feckless FBI Director Christopher Wray testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee about the IG’s report issued last Thursday, which covered the FBI’s fake 2016 investigation into the Pantsuit Princess’s email scandal.

As I predicted in yesterday’s Campaign Update, Wray was his typical dissembling self, reciting careful talking points written for him by other people to recite, deflecting, refusing to answer on false grounds and just generally looking like the small and ineffective man he obviously is.  His smallness and ineffectiveness were only amplified by having to sit next to Horowitz, who, even with one hand obviously tied behind his back by Rod Rosenstein, was as forthcoming as he could be and did his best to provide the Committee with as much information as he possibly could.

The session began with Chairman Chuck Grassley tossing out the first bombshell, detailing the fact that he had also invited former FBI Director and current teenage drama queen James Comey to testify, and that Comey’s lawyer had sent back a decline letter in which he stated Comey, if forced to testify, would exercise his 5th amendment right against self-incrimination.  This huge news was of course studiously ignored by the fake national news media.

Horowitz stuck with the obviously dictated talking point that he didn’t find “documentary evidence” that the blatant political bias exposed on the part of FBI Super Duper Agent Peter Strzok, ex-FBI lawyer Lisa Page, ex-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and Comey himself influenced the conduct of the fake investigation, but no one was buying it.  And, despite that absurd protestation, Horowitz did manage to sprinkle in details of all manner of obvious bias throughout his answers to the pointed questions coming from some of the committee members, including Lindsey Graham, John Kennedy and Ted Cruz, in addition to Grassley himself.

In addition to those details, Horowitz also laid out two big pieces of new information that were not included in his report:

  • He informed the committee that the Teenage Drama Queen himself is actually the subject of a current, ongoing investigation into his mishandling of classified documents; and
  • He confirmed the existence of a federal grand jury looking into all of this, which is most likely associated with U.S. Attorney John Huber’s ongoing investigation into all of the FBI/DOJ’s 2016 efforts to fix the election.

Many, including me, have long suspected that Huber must have at least one and possibly multiple grand juries convened for months now, but before yesterday, no one at DOJ had confirmed that likelihood.

Horowitz will testify again today, this time before the House Judiciary Committee chaired by Bob Goodlatte.  The membership of that committee includes bulldogs like Jim Jordan, Trey Gowdy, Matt Gaetz and Ron DeSantis, so expect some real fireworks from today’s session.

Interestingly, our useless FBI Director will not be accompanying Horowitz in today’s testimony.  Which only further raises the question:  Why is this guy in that job?  What good is he to anyone?  He’s nothing but a career bureaucrat, obviously in way over his head, and he has no intention of reforming anything.

Some have speculated that Wray is just a placeholder who will be replaced by a more effective, reform-minded leader when all the dust has settled from these investigations.  Trey Gowdy’s name has often come up as a possible replacement, given his background as a prosecutor before he ran for congress.  Gowdy in fact almost appears to be angling for that eventuality, given his always equivocal public statements regarding the FBI and its “stellar” “rank and file.”

I have a better idea:  How about making Horowitz Director of the FBI when all of the investigations are done?  You want a reformer, how about the guy who knows where all the agency’s bad actors and bodies are buried better than anyone else?  You want someone who knows how to manage?  This guy has been managing a gigantic staff conducting dozens of simultaneous investigations for a decade now.  You want someone who isn’t shy about bucking the system and isn’t squeamish about fighting higher-ups?  Horowitz has been doing that his entire career.

It’ll probably never happen, but after yesterday, it sure seems like a heck of a good idea.  Just throwing it out there.

The Horowitz and Wray Show Comes to Capitol Hill

Happy Father’s Day!  – Pretending to suddenly be concerned about the children of illegal aliens who have illegally crossed into the United States, social justice warriors took to social media on Saturday in outrage that many Americans would be celebrating Father’s day on Sunday.  I celebrated Father’s Day with my family anyway, and even worse, cooked delicious, juicy animal meat in the form of beef and chicken fajitas for my wifey, children and grandchildren to consume.  They loved me for it.  So there.

San Fran Nan is outraged, too. – Doddering old Nancy Pelosi, who after a lifetime of supposed “public service” can somehow afford to live in a multi-million dollar home protected by a wall in one of the priciest neighborhoods in San Francisco, and who owns several other homes to boot, attacked “people of faith” on Sunday for not caring about the plight of illegal aliens.  You can be sure that Ms. Pelosi, who claims to be a practicing Catholic, won’t be selling any of her homes to raise money to support these immigrants, or tear down her property’s wall to set a good example for the rest of the country.  Because, well, liberals.

Big Drama coming this week on multiple fronts. – Today and tomorrow, DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz and FBI Director Christopher Wray will go to capitol hill to offer testimony about the report he released last Thursday on the FBI’s fake investigation into the Clinton email scandal during 2016.  Horowitz and Wray will testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee today and before the House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday.

We can expect Director Wray to deflect, dissemble, refuse to answer based on false claims of “protecting sources” or other classic dodges used by FBI Directors in such situations, because he has clearly demonstrated he is just another feckless bureaucrat whose main goal is not the revelation of the truth, but the covering of his and his utterly corrupt department’s ass. That’s what we saw from him in his god-awful press conference last Thursday following the report’s release, and there is no reason whatsoever to expect anything different from him today or tomorrow.

Horowitz, however, is a different matter entirely.  Unlike Wray, he is not a guy with a history of obfuscating and deflecting in this kind of setting.  In his past testimonies to congress he has pretty much always been blunt and clear in answering questions posed to him.

What will be interesting to see with Horowitz will be to observe whether he bases his testimony on what was written – most likely by Wray, Rod Rosenstein and others – in the Executive Summary to his report, or if he bases his testimony on what is contained in the actual body of the report.  Because while the Executive Summary claims his report finds “no documentary evidence” that political bias influenced the fake investigation, the body of the report details all manner of not just bias, but outright hostility towards Donald Trump influencing pretty much every decision made in the conduct of what really amounted to a cover-up operation favoring the Pantsuit Princess.

And where the Executive Summary to the report claims to have revealed no criminal wrongdoing on the part of anyone at the FBI, the body of the report details all sorts of criminal actions, including the taking of bribes and leaking of classified information on the part of multiple bad actors within the FBI.  Thus, which part of the report Horowitz chooses to reference in his answers to questions from Republican members of these committees – the Democrat members will all just do what they can to continue to support the cover-up – will be key.  Horowitz has a history of trying to do the right thing in the face of obstruction and blow-back from his superiors within DOJ.  We can only hope that continues to be the case.

The other bit of drama we may finally, at long last see this week will be some real pushback from the GOP leadership in the House of Representatives over the DOJ’s and FBI’s ongoing refusal to comply with perfectly valid and legal requests by several committees for documents.  Speaker Paul Ryan is finally personally engaging in the controversy, having attended a Friday night meeting in which he, Devin Nunes, Trey Gowdy and Bob Goodlatte (chairmen of House Oversight, Intelligence and Judiciary committees, respectively) met with Wray and Rosenstien to hammer out a final deal on provision of said documents.

The group is supposed to meet again today, after which DOJ supposedly has promised compliance of some sort.  Nunes and Gowdy were both very plain-spoken in media interviews on the matter Sunday:

From Nunes:  “My patience  has run out. I believe that they have leaked — they created massive leaks. We know that from the I.G. Report. Inspector Horowitz showed us these major, major gaffes…here’s the bottom line.  Mr. Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general, and Director Wray have to decide whether or not they want to be part of the cleanup crew or they want to be part of the cover-up crew.  That’s really the decision that they have to make for themselves here. The best way they can be part of the cleanup of this mess is give us all the documents this week, so that we can put this behind us and let the American people begin to heal.”

From Gowdy:  “Paul Ryan led this meeting… And Paul made it very clear; there’s going to be action on the floor of the House this week if the FBI and DOJ do not comply with our subpoena request.  So Rod Rosenstein, Chris Wray you were in the meeting, you understood him just as clearly as I did. We’re going to get compliance or the House of Representatives is going to use its full arsenal of constitutional weapons to gain compliance.”

This all, of course, comes on the heels of a very rancorous meeting between most of these same principles last week, during which the perpetually oily and abusive Rosenstein actually threatened to subpoena the phone and email records of the members of congress and their staff in retaliation for conducting their constitutional oversight duties.  So it’s pretty easy to see why everyone’s nerves would be on end over this situation.

Of course, the problem these committee chairmen have is that congress’s power in this situation is fairly limited.  Our constitutional balance of powers envision that patriotic, competent and loyal people will be appointed to these high positions within the Department of Justice.  We know today that that was definitely not what happened in the Barack Obama Administration, and the jury is just barely still out on Wray, Rosenstein and Jeff Sessions.  Based on that assumption of good faith, the founding fathers did not give congress many powers to effectively combat a corrupted DOJ.

About the worst congress could do in this situation would be to initiate impeachment proceedings against Rosenstein and Wray, something Nunes and Goodlatte have threatened to do in the past.  But if these guys are corrupt enough to engage in this stonewalling operation for over a year now, and they know that there is not a single Senate Democrat honest enough to vote to remove them from office, what do they care?

So there will be drama, because we can be sure DOJ and the FBI are not going to comply with these latest congressional demands, but at the end of the day it will almost certainly end up being a lot of sound and fury that ends up signifying nothing.

If the Rosenstein Stonewall Continues Today, the President Must Fire Him

Tired of all this Winning yet? – Don’t look now, but Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk, after running up the cost of his infamous Model 3 from $36,000 to as much as $100,000, is threatening to actually do something good for a change:

As of early this morning, 88% of the vote in that poll was in the “yes” category.  Hilariously, the “yes” vote actually went up throughout the day, even as the fake news media was filing a raft of negative stories about Musk’s threat to create a site that would monitor media credibility.  Thus, Musk has already been proven correct in his assertion that the fake mainstream news media has no credibility at all outside of the tiny, shrinking echo chamber all the fake journalists and the Democrat politicians they support inhabit.

Go for it, Elon – it would be a great public service, and you wouldn’t have to worry about cost overruns for once.

But, but, but…Obama told us that wasn’t going to …oh, hell, nevermind. – Speaking of a fake news outlet whose reporters desperately need to be monitored by Elon Musk, the New York Times is reporting this morning that it turns out that the Mullahs over in Iran have been developing inter-continental ballistic missiles throughout the entire time they were negotiating the most one-sided “deal” in world history with Barack Obama and John Kerry, and have continued their development program during all the time since the deal supposedly ensured that would not happen.

So, it turns out that what Obama really told the Mullahs is that “if you like your ICBM program, you can keep your ICBM program.” [rimshot!]  I got a million of ’em, folks, I’ll be here all week.

Documents?  What documents?  Wait, you asked for documents?  Sorry, we don’t got no stinking documents… –  Well, it’s another episode of Rod Rosenstein Sandbags Congress over at the Justice Department today.  The oily Deputy Attorney General will hold not one, but two meetings with congressional leaders today to discuss long-outstanding congressional demands for documents related to the whole Russia Collusion fantasy play.

The first meeting will be with only Republicans Devin Nunes and Trey Gowdy because, well, Nunes and Gowdy don’t want this stuff being leaked to CNN, the NYTimes and the Washington Post in real time.  That meeting will be held at noon, ET.

The second meeting takes place at 2:00 ET, and will include the entire congressional “Gang of 8”, which includes four Republican leaders and chairmen and four senior Democrats.  This will include California Democrat Adam Schiff, so you can expect the confidential discussions that take place in this meeting – or at least the Democrat spin on them – to be all over CNN by about 3:00 ET.

Democrats had spent much of the day on Wednesday demanding they be included in the first meeting, but Nunes refused to allow that because he knew if he let Schiff and the other Democrats in that meeting, it would all be leaked and the dishonest media would attempt to blame it all on Nunes.  Because that’s what the Democrats and their media enablers do.

Both meetings were set up by White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, after the principles had met at the White House on Monday with President Trump.  Kelly will reportedly attend both meetings, as will FBI Director Christopher Wray and Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats.

Two key documents in play here are the two memos that Rosenstein wrote last year first authorizing the appointment of Robert Mueller to be Special Counsel, and then expanding the scope of Mueller’s investigative authority.  Nunes, Gowdy and other congressional GOP committee chairmen have long sought these documents so that they can understand exactly what in the hell it was that Rosenstein authorized Mueller to do.  It’s important to note that similar authorization memos for previous special counsels were readily made public by DOJ within days of their being issued.

But Rosenstein is desperate to prevent any Republican member of congress from seeing these memos in an un-redacted state.  At this point, we don’t know why that is, but his desperation is palpable and certainly seems suspicious under the circumstances.  FBI Director Wray has also been a willing facilitator of the stonewalling on these and other documents, so no one should expect him to be an advocate for transparency.

We can hope the presence of Coats and Kelly – neither of whom have participated in previous meetings on this subject – might lead to some sort of breakthrough in today’s meetings.  Barring such an outcome, it is getting to the point at which the President is literally obligated to fire Rosenstein for his obvious obstruction efforts.

Yes, that would create a firestorm in the fake news media, but as I’ve said many times before, so what?  That happens every day to this President.

The American people deserve to know why Mueller was appointed and exactly what he was authorized to do, and most importantly, under which U.S. laws that authorization was made.  Rod Rosenstein has a big high-powered title, but at the end of the day he is just another bureaucrat.  Bureaucrats do not get to deny the public’s right to know unless elected officials empower them to do so.  We can’t count on elected representatives like Paul Ryan or Mitch McConnell to do anything about this, so the decision will ultimately fall to Donald Trump to make.

If the Rosenstein stonewall turns today’s meetings into just more Kabuki Theatre, it’s time for the President to make that call.

Tired of all this #Winning yet? Part I – The Pantsuit Princess responded to rumors that she has been wearing some sort of large back brace which protrudes above her shoulders by wearing an $1,100 Hermes scarf.  So, why do we classify this as #Winning?  Because any normal, honest person would simply explain the reason for the back brace that she is obviously wearing.  Anytime any of the dishonest hacks who lead the Democrat Party get caught in another act of dishonesty is #Winning.  Period.

Tired of all this #Winning yet?  Part II – Just in case you thought that CNN poll showing the Democrats’ edge in the generic congressional ballot question had all but disappeared was a fluke, Reuters issued its own poll on Thursday, and it gets even better.  Where the CNN poll showed a 3 point edge for the Democrats – within the poll’s margin of error – the Reuters poll pegs the D advantage at just…wait for it…1 percent.  The Democrat margin in the Reuters poll released just three weeks ago had the Democrats holding an 11 point lead.  That’s #Winning.  Bigly.

My name is Devin Nunes, and I am here to drop another bomb.  Boom. – House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes and House Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy met with Justice Department officials on Thursday for a “briefing” related to documents both Republicans have demanded the DOJ provide their committees.

The document in question is an official communication sent in late July, 2016 from then-CIA Director John Brennan to then-FBI Director and current teenage drama queen James Comey.  This electronic communication – or “EC” – formed the official justification for Comey’s decision on July 31, 2016 to initiate a counter-intelligence operation targeting the Donald Trump Campaign.  That EC from Brennan also led to the DOJ’s obtaining of a FISA warrant to wiretap Trump Tower and otherwise spy on the Trump Campaign and Transition Team.

This is a very important document, because it is basically the germinating event that ultimately led to the appointment of Robert Mueller as Special Counsel, and all the of the anti-Trump conspiracy that has brought us up to today.  No congressional committee or other investigating body can possibly get to the bottom of everything that has taken place without having access to that Brennan communication, the EC.

Nunes has for months demanded to see an unredacted version of this document, because he is especially interested to know the name of a specific person who is named within it, and who Brennan claimed had provided him with “intelligence” on the Trump Campaign that supposedly made him concerned enough to want to begin this counter-intelligence operation.  The Washington Post reports that DOJ and the intelligence community don’t want to reveal the person’s name for the familiar “might reveal sources and methods” excuse that these agencies always use to justify their coverups.  The Post also notes that this person has already been identified to the Mueller investigation and has been cooperating with it for months.

So, Mueller gets full information but congressional committees with oversight responsibility do not. See how this works?

And a coverup it is, make no mistake about that.  As Kimberly Strassel notes in a great Wall Street Journal piece, what all this means is that it is very likely that the FBI, well before it received Brennan’s EC justifying the counter-intelligence operation against the Trump Campaign, had either planted an operative within the Trump Campaign or who was interacting with Trump officials in an effort to dirty them up.

As Strassel puts it:

“When government agencies refer to sources, they mean people who appear to be average citizens but use their profession or contacts to spy for the agency. Ergo, we might take this to mean that the FBI secretly had a person on the payroll who used his or her non-FBI credentials to interact in some capacity with the Trump campaign.

This would amount to spying, and it is hugely disconcerting. It would also be a major escalation from the electronic surveillance we already knew about, which was bad enough. Obama political appointees rampantly “unmasked” Trump campaign officials to monitor their conversations, while the FBI played dirty with its surveillance warrant against Carter Page, failing to tell the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court that its supporting information came from the Hillary Clinton campaign. Now we find it may have also been rolling out human intelligence, John Le Carré style, to infiltrate the Trump campaign.”

On August 15, 2016, FBI Super Duper Agent Peter Strzok – himself a part of the FBI’s counter-intelligence division – exchanged texts with his passionate lover, DOJ Attorney Lisa Page about an “insurance policy” the DOJ/FBI anti-Trump cabal had in place.  Thanks to the efforts of Devin Nunes, we most likely discovered the nature of that “insurance policy” yesterday.

Ms. Strassel closes her piece by saying she believes she knows the identity of this FBI plant.  It’s pretty obvious that Nunes and Gowdy do as well, but are seeking absolute confirmation before deciding what to do about it.

We keep seeing people in the media toss out the fact that President Trump could end all the speculation by simply declassifying this document, and that is true.  So, why doesn’t he do that, since doing so would likely be to his ultimate advantage vis a vis the Mueller investigation.

The simplest and most probable explanation for that is that this “source” is, in addition to cooperating with the Mueller investigation, also cooperating with DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz and Utah U.S. Attorney John Huber in their own investigations into all the wrongdoing that has taken place within the DOJ and FBI since mid-2016.

Boom.

Some Men Just Need Firing, and Rod Rosenstein is That Man

Today’s Campaign Update

Thursday was like last Friday, another one of those 5 news cycle days…

– Congressional criminal referrals against McCabe, Comey, Lynch and the Pantsuit Princess;

– The James Comey teen angst tour continues;

– The DOJ Inspector General issues a criminal referral on McCabe;

– Trump hires Rudy Giuliani to “help negotiate an end to the Mueller investigation,” according to Rudy;

– DOJ releases the vaunted “Comey memos” to congress, they immediately leak to the press.

..and that all happened by 5:15 Eastern Time.  Holy cow.

The Campaign Update covered both the Congressional and IG criminal referrals here and here, and we are sick to freakin’ death of talking about the drama queen ex-FBI Director’s teen angst tour, so let’s focus on those last two items this morning, because they are very crucial in everything that is going on.

First, the release of the Comey memos, those precious little tomes that the preening then-FBI Director claims he felt a pressing need to write in order to memorialize this interactions with the new President of the United States.  If you want to read them, just go Google “Comey memos” and trust me, you’ll get several million hits – the things are all over the place this morning, after having been held back by a stonewalling FBI and DOJ for the last year.

Here is the crucial thing to remember about these memos as you read them:  Both Comey and the oily Rod Rosenstein admit that what is in these memos formed Rosenstein’s justification for appointing Robert Mueller as Special Counsel.  Both of them have not only admitted this, they both have done so under oath in testimony before congressional committees.

Here is why that is important:  There is literally nothing in these memos that indicates even a smidgen of wrongdoing by President Donald Trump.  No indication – by Comey’s own admission – of obstruction of justice and no indication of any “collusion” with anyone from Russia.  No indication of any corruption, obstruction or unethical behavior by Mr. Trump whatsoever.

Congressman Trey Gowdy – himself a former prosecutor – as Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, has been aware of what the memos contain for many months now, and he has spent those many months telling anyone who asked that the memos not only do not damage President Trump, they would actually be used as “Exhibit A by the defense” to clear Trump of any wrongdoing.  It turns out that Congressman Gowdy was 100% correct in that assessment.

What these memos do show beyond any doubt at all is that Rosenstein, as the man who appointed Mueller, has perpetrated one of the most massive frauds on the American public in history, and that Comey and Mueller have been accessories to that fraud.  In a just world, Rosenstein would be fired before this day is out, and a special counsel would be assigned to prosecute them for all the perjuries and other crimes they have committed in this endeavor.

But obviously it is not a just world, so Rosenstein will be allowed to slither on through his daily duties of absolutely refusing to supervise Mueller in any way, Comey will be allowed to continue his teen angst book tour, and Mueller will be allowed to continue his assault on the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 6th amendments to the Constitution.

Well, until, that is, Rudy Giuliani – America’s Mayor! – rides in on his white horse and “negotiates an end to the Mueller investigation,” as he put it himself.  If your initial reaction to that bit of news is to think, “What the hell?  Why should President Trump have to negotiate anything in this situation?”, well, join the crowd.

But here we are.  Rosenstein refuses to do his job, Mueller’s sitting there holding such a huge bag of nothing that many in the anti-Trump media speculated that he conducted his jack-booted raid on Michael Cohen in a desperate effort to get Trump to fire him, and the President is understandably quite anxious to put an end to the massive fraud that has thus far haunted his entire presidency.

The things to remember about Giuliani that are very pertinent to this matter are:

  • He’s a former U.S. Attorney himself, and knows how the processes within DOJ work;
  • He’s extremely adept at exercising leverage to get the things he wants to do done, which is what made him such an extremely successful mayor of New York City;
  • Perhaps most importantly, he has direct knowledge of evidence of criminal conduct by Hillary Clinton that was buried by Clinton cronies at the New York P0lice Department and New York City FBI Field Office. Think 600,000 Clinton emails showing up on Anthony Weiner’s laptop.

So he has tons of leverage to exercise in a negotiation with Mueller, whose “investigation” is as much about protecting the Pantsuit Princess and his best buddy Comey as it is about anything else.  Mueller desperately wants to save face by snagging an interview with the President before closing up his shop, something the President should avoid at all costs, given that any interview with Mueller would be set up solely to try to catch Mr. Trump in some perjury trap.

Giuliani’s job will be to convince Mueller it is in his interests to let the thought of any interview with the President go.  Can’t think of anyone better to take on this assignment.
