Wednesday News Roundup: Cop Killing, Whitmer Dissembling, and ChinExit is Under Way

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

If this doesn’t make you sick, I don’t know what will. – A video made public yesterday shows four Minneapolis police killing a man on the street in broad daylight. Literally killing him. Watch:

Despite the man’s repeated pleas that he can’t breathe, this policeman leaned with his knee on his neck until he died. In broad daylight, while a crowd of pedestrians watched and shouted, so these officers had to know they were being caught on video. Yet, the officer leaned on the man until he died while his three fellow officers stood around like slugs and watched.

Maybe the guy resisted arrest; maybe he even got violent with the cops – we don’t know all the facts around the incident yet. But they don’t matter. This man was handcuffed, on the ground, pleading that he can’t breathe, and the police killed him.

His alleged crime? Forging a check. That’s right – the cops were called out to the scene to investigate a complaint of forging. This man is dead because he might have forged a check.

If the victim were white or Hispanic or Asian, you wouldn’t hear much more about this killing. Because he is black and our media establishment is utterly corrupt and thrives on fomenting racial strife in our country, this story will dominate the news for weeks as the Democrats attempt to blame this killing on President Trump.

The act by these bad cops is indefensible and they all need to be fully prosecuted for it. You can be sure that the coverage of this act by the corrupt news media will be indefensible as well, and there will be no price to be paid for that.

You won’t have to worry about Gretchen Whitmer being Biden’s running mate after this. – Michigan’s aspiring banana republic dictator famously ordered her state’s residents to stay locked down in their homes back in March, advising them not to even drive to their vacation homes in order to avoid spreading the Wuhan Virus. That advice had literally zero science or data to support it, but hey, she was having a great time lording her power over the little people.

That bit of bad advice became problematic for the Generalissimo over the weekend, however, when it was revealed that her very own hubby had driven many miles to their own vacation home, in the process attempting to use his status as Mr. Generalissimo to jump the long line at the boat storage facility to have his boat lowered into the water.

When asked about the incident at her press conference on Tuesday, Herr Gretchen responded that Mr. Generalissimo was just employing a “bad attempt at humor” in attempting to bully the boat facility, and had only traveled to the vacation home to “rake leaves.” No one, not even her own sign language expert, believed her:

Operation ChinExit is well under way. – It is already being overwhelmed by other, more sensationalist news stories, but White House Economic Advisor Lawrence Kudlow made a huge announcement Wednesday during an interview with Stuart Varney on Fox Business.

Kudlow told Varney that the U.S. would join Japan and Australia in subsidizing companies that work to move their supply chains out of China back to the United States:

The Trump administration is willing to pay for U.S. companies to uproot their supply chains and bring them home from China, according to the president’s top economic adviser.

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused supply chain disruptions and elevated concerns the U.S. has become too reliant on production in Asia, and specifically China, for goods and key technologies.

“We welcome any Americans companies in Hong Kong or China mainland, we will do what we can for full expensing and pay the cost of moving if they return their supply chains and their production to the United States,” chief White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow told FOX Business’ Stuart Varney on Tuesday.

[End]

This is a very big deal, so don’t expect to see much about it on CNN or MSNBC.

Dining in in LA County? – It looks like that could suddenly happen as soon as this weekend, as the LA County Board of Supervisors approved a motion yesterday to ask the state to allow it to move to accelerate its glacially-slow reopening. Obviously, LA Democrats got some really bad polling numbers this week, because, as we know, Democrat officials base literally every action they take on polling data, not science or health-related data.

Interestingly, the request from LA County will include the reopening of churches in the area, just 5 days after President Trump warned governors and local officials that he would seek to override their authority if they did not move quickly to reopen religious facilities.

Funny how that works.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce Wants to Keep America Hostage to China

The Evening Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, #EnemyOfThePeople. – Hat tip to the guys at the Conservative Treehouse for calling this one out. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is now heavily lobbying the Trump Administration to not move ahead with an executive order beefing up mandates on Big Pharma and other medical supply multi-national companies to bring their damn supply chains out of China and back to America.

Because of course this is what the CofC is doing. The CofC is one of the most anti-Trump – and in this case, anti-America – institutions in the nation’s capital. It has used its pernicious influence to undermine Trump’s policies on illegal immigration so that its huge corporate members can continue enjoying the fruits of cheap labor, and now it is using its pernicious influence to try to ensure that our country remains outrageously over-reliant on China for our medicines and healthcare supplies.

From a report by Reuters on the matter:

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and dozens of other business and trade groups urged U.S. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, White House economic adviser Larry Kudlow and other top U.S. officials to drop plans for the order, arguing it would also damage U.S. trading relationship for years to come.

“Preventing federal agencies from sourcing medical equipment and pharmaceutical ingredients from abroad … would only exacerbate the supply shortages racking the United States,” said a letter from the groups, which was also addressed to Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross and U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer.

White House trade adviser Peter Navarro, a long-time trade hawk who is crafting the order, told Fox News late on Wednesday evening that he expected movement on the issue shortly.

“The president’s gonna get that done soon,” Navarro told Fox News’ “Hannity” program, without giving an exact date.

The push has sparked concern in China and elsewhere, rekindling tensions with Beijing at a moment when global leaders are calling for a coordinated response to the outbreak.

Let’s review what is at stake here for Americans:

  • This virus originated in China in November;
  • The communist Chinese government lied to the global community for two solid  months;
  • During those two months, an average 10,000 Chinese citizens came to America EVERY DAY, creating the epidemic we are now dealing with by shutting down 75% of our economy;
  • The very same dynamic took place in pretty much every country on earth;
  • Today,  thanks to all the horrible trade deals that the CofC lobbied the Bush/Clinton/Bush/Obama Administrations to implement over the 28 years before Trump took office, our country is reliant on supply chains that at least in part move through China for over 90% of our pharmaceutical products and medical supplies;
  • And the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and its giant multi-national corporate members want to keep it that way.

Bottom line, the CofC must be defeated. When you go to the polls this fall, vote for candidates who are NOT taking money from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Unless, of course, those candidates are Democrats. We must end this group’s destructive power in the nation’s capital.

That is all.

America Must Disentangle Itself From China

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Never let a good crisis go to waste. – If the China virus produces no other positive outcome, at least it has clearly demonstrated to anyone with functioning synapses in their cranial cavities that our country can no longer afford to be entangled in any real way with the Chinese communist government. Let’s look at just some of the reasons why:

In a globalist world, secrecy kills. – Communist governments by their very nature are dishonest and secretive. They must take so many repugnant actions in order to exert control over the masses, actions that they can never allow civilized nations to see if they are to be allowed entre’ to global markets. As Axios detailed in a story Wednesday evening, the ChiComs’ secretive nature where coronavirus is concerned has had a devastating impact on the global economy and threatens to cost hundreds of thousands of human lives.

From the Axios story:

Axios has compiled a timeline of the earliest weeks of the coronavirus outbreak in China, highlighting when the cover-up started and ended — and showing how, during that time, the virus already started spreading around the world, including to the United States.

Why it matters: A study published in March indicated that if Chinese authorities had acted three weeks earlier than they did, the number of coronavirus cases could have been reduced by 95% and its geographic spread limited.

This timeline, compiled from information reported by the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, the South China Morning Post and other sources, shows that China’s cover-up and the delay in serious measures to contain the virus lasted about three weeks.

[End]

That’s right: 95% of what you are seeing happening today in America and the rest of the world is directly the result of ChiCom dishonesty and secrecy. There simply must be a price to be paid for this level of mendacity.

ChiCom money corrupts other countries. – You can start this with the activities of Joe and Hunter Biden related to China while Quid Pro Joe was Vice President and Obama’s “point man” for China policy. Joe takes Hunter on a trip with him to China, and a week later Hunter’s fledgling firm secures $1.5 billion in Chinese largesse. If you don’t think this rank influence peddling corrupted Biden’s decision making related to U.S. foreign policy, I don’t even know what to say to you.

Then you have the way in which Chinese investments in American media operations have turned half of the White House press corps into blatant ChiCom stooges. After a reporter for OAN, Chanel Rion, asked President Trump how he feels about so many of her colleagues basically parroting ChiCom propaganda in their corrupt reporting yesterday, she was mercilessly harassed by those same colleagues for the rest of the day. After harassing Rion, those corrupt reporters then turned back to parroting ChiCom talking points.

Make no mistake about this: The content and tenor of what these “reporters” put onto the airwaves is dictated from the top down in these corrupt news organizations. Most, if not all of those corporations are heavily entangled with and dependent upon ChiCom money, and money talks, with these corrupt reporters serving as the mouthpiece. This is why you see these people react so emotionally every time President Trump correctly refers to this current plague as a virus that originated in China.

Supply chains are the economy’s life’s blood. – The one saving grace of our financial entanglements with China is that China’s economy is even more reliant on American money than vice versa. When we are more dependent on a communist country for pharmaceuticals and antibiotics than we are dependent on the Middle East for oil, we are enormously vulnerable as a country. Were China not so reliant on U.S. money, we would probably already be suffering from interruptions in pharmaceutical supplies. This cannot be allowed to stand.

It is an act of outright insanity to allow the very health of our citizens to be in the hands of a communist government. This must change, and this crisis affords the President and members of congress who aren’t also in the pockets of the ChiComs the opportunity to force the change. We need new regulations requiring the entire supply chains of critical goods like pharmaceuticals to be contained within our borders.

Here’s the good news. – The entire Trump economic plan from Day 1 has been designed to gradually force the decoupling of the U.S. economy from China. A big part of making America great again is to bring U.S. manufacturing, U.S. supply chains and U.S. jobs back home from China and other parts of the world. This is what Trump’s trade and tariff policies have been working to achieve.

Now, we have this crisis, caused entirely by ChiCom dishonesty and secrecy, that gives the President an opening to accelerate that process. It seems increasingly likely that setting the stage for taking some aggressive action in this realm is why the President has been so focused on making sure everyone understands that China brought this problem to our shores. The ChiComs understand this, which is why they and their corrupt media toadies in the U.S. have responded to the President’s use of the term “Chinese virus” in such panicked tones.

This is what Donald Trump promised to do throughout his campaign for the presidency, and this is one of the main things we elected him to do. No president in American history has been so myopically focused on keeping the promises made during his campaign as Trump has been.

Decoupling from China is an enormous challenge, but Donald Trump has proved repeatedly throughout his adult life that enormous challenges are his favorite kind.

That is all.
