Waiting for Barr and Durham: The 2020 Sequel to “Waiting For Godot”

Justice Department probe into Russia investigation could extend into late summer - CNNPolitics

In the last 48 hours we have discovered the following related to Spygate/Obamagate:

– The release of a series of text messages between multiple FBI personnel revealing that they knew the spying on the Trump campaign and efforts to frame General Mike Flynn were highly illegal and that they were so concerned about their own situations that they went out and purchased personal liability insurance policies in January, 2017;

– The revelation that the sub-source for Christopher Steele’s fake Dossier on Donald Trump was in fact a Russian agent and had been deemed by the freaking FBI itself as a “national security threat” as early as 2009. Despite this knowledge, James Comey and his FBI freak show allowed the Dossier to be used as the sole basis for no fewer than 4 fraudulent applications for FISA warrants to spy on the Trump Campaign, Transition Team and Administration;

– The fact that Hunter Biden, while his dear old Daddy was squiring him all over the world to peddle influence to various nefarious characters, received a wire transfer from the wife of the former Mayor of Moscow for $3.5 million and several other wires of several hundred thousand dollars each.

In the face of all of these revelations in a 48 hour period, our national news media yawns and continues to pretend that President Trump is the guy with a Russia problem.

It was in light of these revelations and the Democrat/media’s current “peaceful transfer of power” hoax that I wrote a piece on Thursday asking “When do we get Our Peaceful Transfer of Power for 2016?” because that is something we never received from Obama and his evil minions, who are still today running a shadow government operation designed to regain the presidency. Joe Biden is just the bumbling meat suit face of that effort.

The next question to ask is, when are any of the people involved in this never-ending coup d’etat effort going to be held accountable by William Barr, John Durham and the Department of Justice? We found out on Thursday that Durham did in fact take over the investigation of all the myriad crimes of the Clinton Foundation from do-nothing U.S. Attorney John Huber early this year, as has long been rumored. But, just as with his plodding Spygate and Obamagate investigation, we have seen no fruit from that effort, despite Barr’s promises that such fruit would be borne by the end of summer.

Oops. We are now three days past that deadline.

I had an email from a friend in DC last night saying that rumors are flying that something’s going to happen today. That would make some sense in a very DC Swampy kind of way, given that Fridays are traditionally the day when when the Swamp’s snakes and skunks love to make big news so it will dominate the Sunday talk shows. But we’ve heard those rumors many times before and have been let down each and every time. Waiting for John Durham to actually do something is like the old movie “Waiting for Godot”. We keep waiting, but Godot never arrives.

Meanwhile, we are about to have an election in less than 6 weeks and well over half of the country still does not know a thing about any of this thanks to the wall of silence by the corrupt national news media. The only way to break through that wall is for Durham and his investigators to start breaking down doors and performing some very public perp walks of high profile figures like Comey and Strzok and Brennan and Clapper, all of whom have become major TV stars over the past few years.

It would be like arresting the cast of “Love Island” – even the GenZ-ers would have to pay some attention here.

Sundance over at TheConservativeTreehouse posted a piece last night speculating that Barr and Durham have now decided that the political atmosphere has just become too toxic to add indictments into the mix. Thus, Sundance speculates that Barr is using Sidney Powell – who released the FBI text messages – and the various Senate committees – who released the revelations about Hunter Biden and Steele’s Russian sub-source – to get all of this damning information into the public domain without drawing fire in on their own position from the news media.

If true, we have a word for that kind of skullduggery: Chickenshit. Sorry for the semi-profanity, but that’s what such an effort by Barr/Durham would be.

If Durham really does have the goods on these people, and really does have hundreds of sealed indictments waiting to be unsealed, then election timing simply should not even factor into his and Barr’s equation. Because if Durham really has the goods, that means that there are treasonous criminals who planned and executed a literal coup d’ etat effort on U.S. soil roaming free as birds right now. It would also mean that half of American voters are about to cast votes for the next president without being in possession of real knowledge about any of this.

That would be an incredible travesty of justice, and a stain on their reputations that Barr and Durham could never wash off. If they really do have the goods, the only time to act is now.

I’m not going to hold my breath waiting for Godot to finally arrive, though.

That is all.

Right on Cue, the New York Times Tries to Mount a new Russia Hoax

Meet the new Russia hoax, same as the old Russia hoax. – The Russia Collusion hoax was based entirely on a fraudulent dossier and lies told to reporters by anonymous sources. Well, and also by reporters just making crap up out of whole cloth in many instances, but that goes without saying. The Democrats and their corrupt media toadies managed to deceive the American public for three solid years and tilt the 2018 elections using that hoax, so it’s only natural they would repeat that same model in the runup to the 2020 elections.

Meet the new Russia hoax, this one claiming that President Trump was briefed on a plan by those evil Russians to bribe Afghanistan militants to murder U.S. and coalition forces in that sh*thole country (don’t even try to prove me wrong on that assessment), and that the President did nothing to stop them. The New York Times got the ball rolling on that doozy late last week with yet another fake report based on nothing but anonymous sources who may or may not even exist. You’re just supposed to trust that the New York Times, which has filed hundreds of completely false reports about President Trump since 2015, is finally telling you the truth this time, because of their journalistic “ethics” or something.

Even more, you’re supposed to believe the Times because other corrupt media outlets like the Wall Street Journal and Washington post “independently verified” the story – i.e., they talked to the same anonymous sources, who may well have been the reporter from the Times itself. Because that’s what these corrupt political operatives masquerading as journalists do.

As with this past week’s Bubba Wallace/NASCAR noose story, if you didn’t realize within about 10 seconds that both stories are clear hoaxes, then you just haven’t been paying enough attention to what’s been happening in our country for the past four years. But most Americans are too dense to figure it out, so the President and many of his people had to waste their time issuing outright denials of this false reporting on Saturday.

As reported by the Washington Examiner, former Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell ended up in a back and forth on Twitter with despicable hack Ted Lieu:

Rep. Ted Lieu, a California Democrat, tweeted at Grenell daring him to confirm whether he did not tell Trump and Pence about a Russian military intelligence unit offering financial rewards to Taliban militants to kill U.S. troops or McEnany was lying.

“I never heard this,” Grenell shot back. “And it’s disgusting how you continue to politicize intelligence. You clearly don’t understand how raw intel gets verified. Leaks of partial information to reporters from anonymous sources is dangerous because people like you manipulate it for political gain.”

Lieu followed up by asking: “If you are telling the truth, why doesn’t White House deny bounty story instead of saying you didn’t brief @POTUS?”

Grenell replied: “All anonymous sources. And these same reporters gave us the Russian collusion hoax you still hold on to.”

Yep.

Current DNI John Ratcliffe issued this unambiguous statement on the matter:

Ok. Next!

The President of the United States tweeted this:

All true. Next!

Even Vladimir Putin and Russia accurately referred to the New York Times as “fake news”:

Russia denies allegation that it offered bounties to militants in Afghanistan for killing American troops
According to The New York Times, American intelligence officials reported that a Russian assassination unit secretly offered bounties to Taliban-linked militants for killing American troops in Afghanistan. Russia responded by calling it an attempt to “invent new fake stories.”

So, you are left with either believing “news” outlets who have repeatedly lied to you and worked hand in glove with the Democrat Party to spread a series of outright hoaxes to the American public over the last four years, or believing the President, DNI Ratcliffe and Ric Grenell, who spent his entire time as DNI debunking the media’s previous Russia Hoax by declassifying documents and bring transparency in government.

This is not hard, folks.

That is all.

William Barr: “It’s not gonna be the end of it.”

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II

Catherine Herridge continues to do her great work, even while under the thumb of corrupt management at CBS News. Last night, CBS aired a carefully edited, small portion of her interview with Attorney General William Barr, which came at the end of a momentous day during which Barr’s DOJ withdrew its charges in the Soviet-style show trial of General Mike Flynn.

The transcript of the full interview has now been published. It is reprinted here, and I’ve gone through and added emphasis on key points made by Barr. Pay special attention at the end, in which Barr tells Herridge that “we’re gonna get to the bottom of what happened.” There are no qualifiers, no weasel words there.

Note also, midway through, Barr states that he is having Missouri U.S. Attorney Jensen now working on other things, presumably with Durham. Shortly after that, also note the extremely tepid “vote of confidence” Barr slaps Christopher Wray with. He is very careful there not to praise the worthless FBI Director.

All in all, this is a very encouraging interview.

TRANSCRIPT

Catherine Herridge: Attorney General Barr, thank you for speaking first to CBS News.

Attorney General William Barr: Hi, Catherine.

What action has the Justice Department taken today in the Michael Flynn case?

We dismissed or are moving to dismiss the charges against General Flynn. At any stage during a proceeding, even after indictment or a conviction or a guilty plea, the Department can move to dismiss the charges if we determine that our standards of prosecution have not been met.

As you recall, in January, General Flynn moved to withdraw his plea, and also alleged misconduct by the government. And at that time, I asked a very seasoned U.S. attorney, who had spent ten years as an FBI agent and ten years as a career prosecutor, Jeff Jensen, from St. Louis, to come in and take a fresh look at this whole case. And he found some additional material. And last week, he came in and briefed me and made a recommendation that we dismiss the case, which I fully agreed with, as did the U.S. attorney in D.C. So we’ve moved to dismiss the case.

So this decision to dismiss by the Justice Department, this all came together really within the last week, based on new evidence?

Right. Well U.S. Attorney Jensen since January has been investigating this. And he reported to me last week.

Does Judge Sullivan have a say?

Yes. Under the rules, the case can be dismissed with leave of court. Generally, the courts have said that that provision is in there to protect defendants, to make sure the government doesn’t play games by bringing a charge and then dismissing it; bringing another charge, dismissing it. But he does have a say.

But is the Flynn case effectively over today from the Justice Department’s point of view?

We think the case against Flynn for false statements should be dismissed, as far as the Department of Justice is concerned.

And depending on the judge’s decision, could charges be brought against General Flynn in the future for other actions he took during the presidential campaign or during the transition?

Well, no charges like that have been brought. And I’m not gonna speculate about what charges there may be.

All of that said, General Flynn pled guilty to lying to federal investigators during his interview in January of 2017. And Flynn admitted in court, quote, his “false statements and omissions impeded and otherwise had a material impact on the FBI’s ongoing investigation into the existence of any links or coordination between individuals with the campaign and Russia’s efforts to interfere with the 2016 presidential election.” Does the fact remain that General Flynn lied to federal investigators?

Well to constitute a false statement, you need two things. One, you need a false statement, lie. And then it has to be material to a legitimate investigation. And I think on the question of lying, it’s as Comey, Director Comey said just a few months after this episode, he said it was a closed question. And that, while you might make that argument, it was a very closed question.

But it’s on the question of materiality that we feel really that a crime cannot be established here because there was not, in our view, a legitimate investigation going on. They did not have a basis for a counterintelligence investigation against Flynn at that stage, based on a perfectly legitimate and appropriate call he made as a member of the transition. So.

Let me just also say that when he pled, the issue of materiality is related to whether the government has a bona fide investigation going on. And that’s information that’s really within the control of the government. The individual party would really not have that information. So as new information just became available that has a bearing on whether there was a legitimate investigation, that requires us, our duty, we think is to dismiss the case.

Does the new evidence show that the counterintelligence case against General Flynn was simply left open to lay a trap for lying?

Yes. Essentially. They had started a counterintelligence investigation during the summer, as you know, related to the campaign. But in December, the team, the Crossfire Hurricane team, was closing that and determined they had found nothing to justify continuing with that investigation against Flynn.

On the very day they prepared the final papers, the seventh floor, that is the director’s office and the deputy director’s office up there, sent down word they should keep that open. So that they could try to go and question Flynn about this call he had with the Russian ambassador.

Let me say that, at that point, he was the designated national security adviser for President-Elect Trump, and was part of the transition, which is recognized by the government and funded by the government as an important function to bring in a new administration. And it is very typical, very common for the national security team of the incoming president to communicate with foreign leaders.

And that call, there was nothing wrong with it whatever. In fact, it was laudable. He– and it was nothing inconsistent with the Obama administration’s policies. And it was in U.S. interests. He was saying to the Russians, you know, “Don’t escalate.” And they asked him if he remembered saying that, and he said he didn’t remember that.

What should Americans take away from your actions in the Flynn case today?

Well, as I said in my confirmation hearing, one of the reasons I came back is because I was concerned that people were feeling there were two standards of justice in this country. And that the political and that the justice, or the law enforcement process was being used to play political games. And I wanted to make sure that we restore confidence in the system. There’s only one standard of justice. And I believe that this case, that justice in this case requires dismissing the charges against General Flynn.

Are the actions you’re taking today bigger than the Flynn case?

Well, I think they are bigger because I hope that it sends the message that there is one standard of justice in this country. And that’s the way it will be. It doesn’t matter what political party you’re in, or, you know, whether you’re rich or poor. We will follow the same standard for everybody. Was there a crime committed, do we believe a crime was committed? And do we have the evidence to prove it beyond a reasonable doubt? And we don’t think either of those standards were applicable here.

Has this been one of the most consequential decisions that you have made as attorney general?

I don’t know. I let other people judge that. It’s certainly – I feel good about the decision because that’s what we’re here to do. We’re here to do what’s right.

Not what’s easy.

Right.

Was it an easy decision?

It was an easy decision, yes. I think easy because once I saw all the facts and some of the tactics used by the FBI in this instance and also the legal problems with the case, it was an easy decision. You know, one thing people will see when they look at the documents is how Director Comey purposely went around the Justice Department and ignored Deputy Attorney General Yates.

Deputy Attorney General Yates, I’ve disagreed with her about a couple of things, but, you know, here she upheld the fine tradition of the Department of Justice. She said that the new administration has to be treated just like the Obama administration, and they should go and tell the White House about their findings. They and, you know, Director Comey ran around that.

When the special counsel report was released last year, you were accused by critics of putting your thumb on the scale in the president’s favor. Are you doing the president’s bidding in General Flynn’s case?

No, I’m doing the law’s bidding. I’m doing my duty under the law, as I see it.

President Trump recently tweeted about the Flynn case. He said, “What happened to General Flynn should never be allowed to happen to a citizen of the United States again.” Were you influenced in any way by the president or his tweets?

No, not at all. And, you know, I made clear during my confirmation hearing that I was gonna look into what happened in 2016 and ’17. I made that crystal clear. I was very concerned about what happened. I was gonna get to the bottom of it. And that included the treatment of General Flynn.

And that is part of John Durham, U.S. Attorney John Durham’s portfolio. The reason we had to take this action now and why U.S. Attorney Jeff Jensen came in was because it was prompted by the motions that were filed in that case. And so we had to sorta move more quickly on it. But John Durham is still looking at all of this.

This is one particular episode, but we view it as part of a number of related acts. And we’re looking at the whole pattern of conduct.

The whole pattern of conduct before?

And after.

And after?

Yeah, the election.

After the election? Okay. You talk about the importance of timing in this decision. What was the evidence that helped you decide this issue?

I think a very important evidence here was that this was not a bona fide counterintelligence investigation – was that they were closing the investigation in December. They started that process. And on January 4th, they were closing it.

And that when they heard about the phone call, which is – the FBI had the transcripts too – there’s no question as to what was discussed. The FBI knew exactly what was discussed. And General Flynn, being the former director of the DIA, said to them, you know, “You listen,  you listen to everything. You know, you know what was said.”

So there was no mystery about the call. But they initially tried some theories of how they could open another investigation, which didn’t fly. And then they found out that they had not technically closed the earlier investigation. And they kept it open for the express purpose of trying to catch, lay a perjury trap for General Flynn.

They didn’t warn him, the way we usually would be required by the Department. They bypassed the Justice Department. They bypassed the protocols at the White House and so forth. These were things that persuaded me that there was not a legitimate counterintelligence investigation going on.

You know you’re gonna take a lot of incoming, as they say in the military, for this decision. Are you prepared for that?

Yeah, I’m prepared for that. I also think it’s sad that nowadays these partisan feelings are so strong that people have lost any sense of justice. And the groups that usually worry about civil liberties and making sure that there’s proper procedures followed and standards set seem to be ignoring it and willing to destroy people’s lives and see great injustices done.

Just to be clear, you said this was your decision.

Uh-huh.

Did you consult or discuss the decision in any way with President Trump?

No.

Did you advise the White House that you had made this decision?

No. They were aware, because of the schedule, that the Department would be saying something in court. And I said that we’d make up our mind what to do and file, you know, sometime before Monday.  File our responses to what was going on in court. But other than that, no.

So the White House became aware of the decision when it filed today?

Yes.

Not earlier?

No.

No. Okay. A lot of records have come to light. You talk about the records for closing the Flynn case. Were those new records to you? Because–

Yes.

–of Jensen? Okay. All right. In addition to those records, there are handwritten notes from January 24th, 2017. This was the day of Michael Flynn’s interview. And the writer states, “What is our goal? Truth, admission, or to get him to lie so we can prosecute him or get him fired?” Is that a routine, by-the-book conversation between senior FBI officials?

Well, as many people point out, you know, it’s not unusual. In the course of a bona fide investigation, when you’re doing a criminal investigation or a counterintelligence investigation, that has a basis it’s not unusual to have an interview with someone and expecting that they might lie. But here’s what’s different here is that there was no underlying investigation that was legitimate. And the whole exercise was just about creating the lie.

But that language, does it bother you at all?

Well, my understanding is, just looking at the documents, the way I interpret them, is there was a disagreement. And that one of the agents, one of the senior agents felt that “Let’s not be game playing here. We have the transcript. Show him the transcripts and find out what you wanna find out.”

Instead of instead of, you know, essentially reading excerpts and saying, “Do you remember saying that?” which seemed to be all for the purpose of trying to catch him in something that could be called a lie. But, again, because the FBI knew about the call, there was nothing wrong with the call, the FBI has the transcript of the call, whether or not he remembered saying something is not material to anything.

Who at the FBI was driving this?

Well, this particular episode, it looks like the impetus came from the seventh floor.

The seventh floor is Director Comey.

I believe it’s Director Comey and the deputy’s office.

Based on the evidence that you have seen, did senior FBI officials conspire to throw out the national security adviser?

Well, as I said, this is a particular episode. And it has some troubling features to it, as we’ve discussed. But I think, you know, that’s a question that really has to wait an analysis of all the different episodes that occurred through the summer of 2016 and the first several months of President Trump’s administration.

What are the consequences for these individuals?

Well, you know, I don’t wanna, you know, we’re in the middle of looking at all of this. John Durham’s investigation, and U.S. Attorney Jensen, I’m gonna ask him to do some more work on different items as well. And I’m gonna wait till all the evidence is, and I get their recommendations as to what they found and how serious it is.

But if, you know, if we were to find wrongdoing, in the sense of any criminal act, you know, obviously we would, we would follow through on that. But, again, you know, just because something may even stink to high heaven and be, you know, appear everyone to be bad we still have to apply the right standard and be convinced that there’s a violation of a criminal statute. And that we can prove it beyond a reasonable doubt. The same standard applies to everybody.

It sounds to me like one of your objectives is to never allow the Justice Department to be used as a political weapon. That’s what you’re saying you think happened here?

I think, yes. I think there was an aspect of that. And I think, for the last several decades, the Department has been used more and more, or the efforts have been made to draw the Department into that. And I think it’s very important that that not happen.

People, you know, we should choose our leaders through the election process. And efforts to use the law enforcement process to change leaders or to disable administrations are incendiary in this country and destroy our republic.

Before we move on to some separate questions, many of these records should have been provided to Flynn’s defense team long ago. Do you still have confidence in FBI Director Christopher Wray?

Well, you know, Chris Wray has always supported and been very helpful in various investigations we’ve been running. He cooperated fully with Durham, cooperated fully with Jensen. But, you know, there are a lot of cases in the Department of Justice and I don’t consider it the director’s responsibility to make sure that all the documents are produced in each case. So I don’t– I wouldn’t say that this has affected my confidence in Director Wray.

Does Director Wray have what it takes to make the changes at the FBI?

Yeah, as I’ve said, you know, he’s been a great partner to me in our effort to restore the American people’s confidence in both the Department of Justice and the FBI. And we work very well together. And I think both of us know that we have to step up. That it’s very important to restore the American people’s confidence.

Does he have his arms around the gravity of what happened in 2016 and 2017?

I think he does.

Newly declassified footnotes in the Horowitz report suggest that the Steele dossier was likely the product of Russian disinformation. And there were multiple warnings to the FBI at that time, yet they continued to use that. How do you explain that?

I think that’s one of the most troubling aspects of this whole thing. And, in fact, I said it in testimony on the Hill, I can’t remember if it was my confirmation, that I said I was very concerned about the possibility that that dossier and Steele’s activities were used as a vector for the Russians to inject disinformation into the political campaign.

I think that is something that Robert Mueller was responsible for looking at under his charter,  which is the potential of Russian influence. But I think it was ignored and there was mounting indications that this could very well have been happening and no one really stopped to look at it.

These are very smart people who were working in the special counsel’s office, and in senior levels of the FBI. So what drove them here?

Well, I think one of the things you have to guard against, both as a prosecutor and I think as an investigator, is that if you get too wedded to a particular outcome and you’re pursuing a particular agenda, you close your eyes to anything that sort of doesn’t fit with your preconception. And I think that’s probably the phenomenon we’re looking at here.

You know more about the investigation since Horowitz, since December. Do you see more evidence of personal or political bias today?

You know, I’m not gonna, again, get into reaching a conclusion at this point till I see everything. There’s certainly more information that has come out that, you know, points in that direction. But I haven’t reached a final conclusion.

Before we just move onto to a couple of off-topic questions, the last thing most Americans remember about General Flynn is that he resigned, was fired. And that he admitted lying to the FBI. Does the fact remain that he lied?

Well, you know, people sometimes  plead to things that turn out not to be crimes. And as I said, the question of lying, you know, it’s something he would know about. On its face, as Director Comey said, it’s not so clear. But the question of materiality is not something he would know about. That’s something that the government knows about. And we have now gotten into it, drilled down, obtained new information. And the Department of Justice is not persuaded that this was material to any legitimate counterintelligence investigation. So it was not a crime.

Before we leave this topic, is there anything that you would like to add?

No.

Okay. Just on COVID-19. Some of the news of today. The valet at the White House has tested positive. Have you had any exposure or interaction with this valet?

I don’t think I have, no.

Do you have a view on whether the president, the vice president should self-quarantine or be separated?

No, you know, I don’t have a view on that. I don’t know about how close they were physically or what the medical advice is the president gets. But we’re tested pretty regularly when we’re over at the White House to visit.

Every day, every other day?

It depends how frequently, though at least once a week, but sometimes, you know, if you’ve been around and could have been infected, you can get further testing.

The president said that he’s urging the Supreme Court to overturn the Affordable Care Act when it’s taken up in the Supreme Court later this year. What’s your position? Is that something the Justice Department will continue to back?

Yes. You know, we had an opportunity, all the stakeholders in the administration, to discuss this, and the Department is going to be taking the position as the president states.

Even if that means stripping millions of Americans of their health care in the middle of a pandemic?

Well, the case isn’t gonna be argued until October. And the president’s made clear that he strongly supports coverage of preexisting conditions. And there will be coverage of preexisting conditions. And, you know, he expects to fix and replace Obamacare with a better health care system.

If governors continue to limit the size of gatherings, including religious services, what further action is the Justice Department prepared to take?

Well, I think initially, you know, at the very beginning of the crisis, before we knew very much — and while, in some places, the infection rates were skyrocketing and threatening to overwhelm our health care system, you know, the initial limitations may have been defensible. But as time goes by, it’s harder to justify those kinds of blanket restrictions on religious practice.

I think, if people can follow social distancing by leaving space, wearing masks and so forth, there has to be accommodation to religious practice. The Department has already entered a few cases around the country where there have been these sweeping prohibitions against religion where there were comparable secular activities are not controlled the same way.

On the Bureau of Prisons– currently 2,100 inmates and over 360 Bureau prison staff have tested positive for COVID-19. Will you make universal testing available to the inmates and the staff?

I think over time, we’ll be testing and perhaps get to that point. You know, we got, right at the beginning, I dealt with FEMA and I was able to get some of the Abbott machines. And we’ve been building up our testing capacity. And we’re doing more and more tests.

And, you know, we’ve been trying to keep our inmates as safe as we can. We let a lot of inmates who are older and don’t pose a threat to the community, we’ve put them on home confinement to get ’em outta the institutions. So we’re taking every measure we can to protect those inmates.

Generally speaking, historically, the infection rates roughly, from what I’ve seen, are comparable inside the institution (SIC) as they are in society at large. And we’ve been able to prevent our prisons from becoming Petri dishes where they sweep through with the same lethality that they have in, you know, nursing homes and so forth. It takes a lotta work, and the Bureau of Prisons has been working hard on that.

In closing, this was a big decision in the Flynn case, to– to say the least. When history looks back on this decision, how do you think it will be written? What will it say about your decision making?

Well, history is written by the winner. So it largely depends on who’s writing the history. But I think a fair history would say that it was a good decision because it upheld the rule of law. It helped, it upheld the standards of the Department of Justice, and it undid what was an injustice.

Uh-huh.

I mean, it’s not gonna be the end of it.

What do you mean, it’s not the end of it?

Well, I said we’re gonna get to the bottom of what happened.

And later this year, do you expect a report from U.S. Attorney John Durham? Or do you expect indictments?

Well, as you know, I’m not gonna predict the outcome. But I said that we’re certainly — there probably will be a report as a byproduct of his work. But we also are seeing if there are people who violated the law and should be brought to justice. And that’s what we have our eye on.

And that would include individuals involved in the Flynn case?

I don’t wanna get into particular individuals.

Attorney General William Barr, thank you very much for joining us here at CBS News.

Thank you.

Now, I know some of you are about to reply with something like, “I won’t believe him until we see indictments!!!!” I get it. You’ve said it 1,000 times. You don’t need to keep repeating it. We all get it.

All I will say is that Mr. Barr has now demonstrated some very good faith in both the Roger Stone case and the Mike Flynn case. If you aren’t capable of seeing the real, stark difference in the way he is conducting himself in the AG job and the way Jeff Sessions conducted the job, then I really don’t know what to say to you.

That is all.

Mueller Special Counsel Team Humiliated Again: Corrupt News Media Hardest Hit

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

So much for Russia, Russia, Russia. – Hey, remember when greasy Rod Rosenstein stood before the TV cameras and informed the nation that Gestapo Chief Herr Mueller and his band of Clinton/Obama thugs had found the source for all that “Russia collusion” that happened in our 2016 election? Yeah, good times, good times…

That was two and a half years ago, and in all that time, corrupt Justice Department prosecutors had made essentially no progress in the case, which in its essence alleged that a company called Concord Management and Consulting, LLC had spent a couple hundred thousand dollars on a bunch of social media ads designed to sow public division during the 2016 election cycle. Hell, Mini-Mike Bloomberg was spending 40 times that amount every damn day doing the same thing and no one from DOJ came after him.

But of course, the people at Concord are Russians and had no business trying to interfere in U.S. elections, regardless of how puny their investment allegedly was. And besides, the whole Mueller hoax was based on the myth of Russia colluding with the Trump Campaign, and Mueller’s thugs had to claim at least one Russkie scalp in order to keep the false narrative going.

So the disgusting Rosenstein stood there as the talking head for the American Gestapo, sniffing and slurping his way through his press conference, informing us that the brain trust of the evil Russian plot to waste $200,000 on Facebook ads and Twitter bots officed at the Moscow headquarters of Concord Managment, a firm no one in America had ever heard of. So, surely Americans would fall for the ruse, right?

Loyal readers here will remember that I told you on the very day Rosenstein held his presser that, even if Concord was guilty of what Rosenstein and Mueller’s thugs were alleging, a) their efforts made exactly ZERO difference in the 2016 presidential election, a fact that Rosenstein essentially admitted several times afterwards, and b) the DOJ would not be able to prosecute any charges against this Russian firm in any event unless the Russian government forced Concord to send its employees to America to face a judge and jury. Which was never going to happen, given the specious nature of the charges.

Well, guess what happened on Monday? That’s right: The corrupt DOJ lawyers who have bumbled and fumbled around with this idiotic case for a solid 30 months very predictably decided to drop all charges. Why? Well, golly, because they couldn’t get Concord or Putin to send any of those employees over here to face charges, and because DOJ decided it really couldn’t prove its case in any event.

From the Business Insider piece on the matter:

  • The Justice Department moved on Monday to drop its cases against 13 Russian nationals and three Russian entities indicted as part the FBI’s investigation into Russian election interference.
  • In a court filing, prosecutors accused one of those companies or taking advantage of the US legal process to harm national security while ignoring its own legal obligations related to the case.
  • Notably, the filing also said the government decided to drop its case “particularly in light of recent events and a change in the balance of the government’s proof due to a classification determination,” in addition to other factors.

[End]

Oh. You don’t say.

So, the “Russia, Russia, Russia” hoax ends with a whimper, an event that will be barely mentioned by the same corrupt journalists and TV talking heads who spent three solid years screaming about it from their lofty perches in their neverending effort to take down a President of the United States. It ends because, at the end of the day, it was in fact a complete hoax and the DOJ had nothing to work with.

But our society has been irreparably damaged by the volume and intensity of false information coming from Democrat politicians and our corrupt news media on the matter, just as it is being irreparably damaged by all the false information being purveyed by the media related to the coronavirus.  The saddest part of it all is that Attorney General William Barr has to this point issued zero indictments of any of the outlaw DOJ and FBI officials who carried out the hoax, and that no one in our corrupt news media will be held in any way accountable for their efforts to support the plot.

The best we can hope for is a pox – or perhaps a virus – on all their houses. That would be real justice.

That is all.

Tapper Debunks NYTimes Russia Collusion Narrative-Setter

Today’s Campaign Update, Part III (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Well, you don’t see this very often – the two fakest corrupt news outlets in America fighting over a narrative. It’s going to drive their Democrat masters crazy.

Not even 24 hours after the New York Times puts out a despicably fake piece trying to revive the whole Russia Collusion narrative, CNN’s Fake Jake Tapper, of all people, issues a thread on Twitter debunking the whole thing. Here is the text of Tapper’s tweets:

A national security official I know and trust pushes back on the way the briefing/ODNI story is being told, and others with firsthand knowledge agree with his assessment.

2/ “What’s been articulated in the news is that the intelligence community has concluded that the Russians are trying to help Trump again. But the intelligence doesn’t say that,” the official says…

3/ “The problem is Shelby” — Pierson, the elections threats executive in the intelligence community — “said they developed a preference for Trump. A more reasonable interpretation of the intelligence is not that they have a preference, it’s a step short of that….

4/ “It’s more that they understand the president is someone they can work with, he’s a dealmaker. But not that they prefer him over Sanders or Buttigieg or anyone else. So it may have been mischaracterized by Shelby” at the House Intel briefing last week…

5/ “And by the way,” the official says, “both Democrats and Republicans were challenging this at the briefing.” Then there’s the matter of the tense meeting between President Trump and erstwhile Acting Director of National Intelligence Admiral Maguire…

6/ “The President was upset that he had to hear about an intelligence conclusion from a Member of the House Republicans rather than from the intelligence community. So he was out of joint with Maguire on that process.”

7/ None of this disputes that Trump desires to replace those who have Intel expertise with partisan loyalists, or dismisses the larger issues and concerns about Russia and how the president seeks help from abroad. Just that there seems to be more to this particular story.

8/ ALSO none of this disputes that the Russians (and others) are attempting to interfere in the US election again.

Tapper, obviously disappointed to be getting this narrative-debunking information from his apparently legitimate source, naturally feels the need to add those last two tweets to try to keep the fantasy alive, at least to some extent. But it is obvious that what we really have here is a case where the New York Times intentionally and with malice aforethought mis-portrayed what was actually conveyed in this briefing in order to try to damage President Trump’s reputation.

Libel, plain and simple.

Dems Have a Terrible Debate, So We’re Back to Russia Collusion One More Time

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

In terror the Boy ran toward the village shouting “Wolf! Wolf!” But though the Villagers heard the cry, they did not run to help him as they had before. “He cannot fool us again,” they said. – Aesop’s Fables, from “The Boy Who Cried Wolf.”

It’s like clockwork, folks. – A truly, desperately bad event for the Democrat Party invariably results in a new false narrative coming out of the Party’s toadies in our corrupt news media.

The Party had a disastrous debate on Wednesday, during which everyone beat Mini-Mike Bloomberg to shreds and nobody laid a glove on President Donald Trump, leaving The Commie standing as the clear front-runner, and presto-change-o, we are back to Russia Collusion one more time!

On Thursday, the fake journalists at the corrupt New York Times published yet another narrative-setter piece for their Deep State masters, this one designed to support the Democrat Party’s plan to destroy voter confidence in the 2020 election results in advance. In case you’ve forgotten, the Democrats kicked off this particular plan way back in May of last year, as it became obvious that Quid Pro Joe was too impaired to become the Party’s standard bearer.

On May 6, Nancy Pelosi told reporters that “we cannot accept a second term…for Donald Trump…if we are going to be faithful to our democracy and to the Constitution of the United States. And that is just a fact.” Thus, she was already telegraphing her Party’s intent to destroy faith in the 2020 elections and to refuse to accept their results. That theme has been an ever-present part of Democrat Party/media messaging since that time, and was the main theme in the idiotic impeachment effort that held our country hostage for five long months.

Also participating in this neverending coup d’etat effort is our intelligence community, as we well know. The Times piece in question focuses on a briefing that outgoing Acting Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Joseph Maguire held on Capitol Hill recently, in which he and a whole passel of his loyal lieutenants informed congress of their belief that – get this – the “Russians” favor President Trump’s re-election over communist Bernie Sanders, and are already working to help Mr. Trump’s cause.

Oh yeah, sure, that’s totally believable. You betcha.

Nowhere in the Times piece will you find a single smidgen of detail about exactly what it is that Maguire claims the “Russians” (why doesn’t he just say it’s the boogeyman instead – it would have equal credibility at this point) are doing to “help” the Trump campaign. That would be because the “Russians” aren’t really doing anything in any organized fashion to do that, outside of the kinds of stuff they have been doing to meddle in our elections for the last 100 years.

The thought that these “Russians” would favor the election of Donald Trump over the eternally grifting Hillary Clinton in 2016 wasn’t absurd enough for these people. Now, we are supposed to believe that they are helping Trump to defeat an out-and-out communist ideologue.

Think about it: Vladimir Putin, more than anyone else on the face of the earth, fully understands the society-destroying impacts of socialist/communist ideology. He lived it. Putin – if our corrupt intelligence agencies are to be believed – wants to destroy and dominate the U.S. and other Western democracies. What better way to achieve that than by helping a freaking communist get elected President of the United States? The whole charade here is an absolute farce.

The opening paragraph of the piece is greatest part of it:

Intelligence officials warned House lawmakers last week that Russia was interfering in the 2020 campaign to try to get President Trump re-elected, five people familiar with the matter said, a disclosure to Congress that angered Mr. Trump, who complained that Democrats would use it against him.

Note the reference to “five people familiar with the matter”, none of whom are of course identified. Did the Times really talk to “five people” who had first-hand knowledge of this briefing? There is no way to know. But saying “five people” rather than “a person” is the Times way of trying to give the piece more credibility.

Then there’s my favorite part, the one about how the “disclosure to Congress that angered Mr. Trump, who complained that Democrats would use it against him.”

Um, doesn’t the very existence of this report in the New York Times clearly demonstrate that the President was right? Didn’t he have every right to be angered that Maguire, a freaking temp in his job, chose to spread this crap as a parting gift to the Administration as he prances out the door, no doubt about to get a big book deal or a contract as a contributor on CNN or MSNBC?

Now, do you understand why the President is intent on putting someone he can actually trust  into the DNI position? What Maguire – and his aide Shelby Pierson, whom the Times claims delivered the report to the members of congress – did is an outright betrayal, an outrage that should be punished by their immediate firings.

But the damage is done, and the Democrat/media narrative is set: Bereft of any other viable alternatives or viable presidential candidates to really challenge President Trump, the Axis of Disinformation goes back to pushing the Russia Collusion BS one more time. They will now poll-test and focus group public reactions to the new narrative, and if they think it has any legs, they will continue to pound it day after day right up until November 3. Because this is what these people do, and this is who they are.

Yes, it’s despicable. Yes, it’s depraved. Yes, it’s disgusting and demented and disloyal to our nation and destructive to our Republic. But, really, after the last four years, did you expect anything else?

That is all.

A Nation Awaits the Next Democrat/Media-Concocted Hoax

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this WINNING yet? – Apparently, Hollywood is. At last night’s Academy Awards ceremony – which I didn’t even know was happening until about 8:00 in the evening – the voters gave the award for Best Picture to some movie from South Korea. I’m sure it’s a fine movie, at least as far as movies go these days, but wow, the film industry in South Korea is now turning out higher-quality films than the film industry in California? That’s rather a stunning admission for the Academy to make.

Who is this Milton Keynes fellow, and how can we get in touch with him? er, or her? – Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez continues to make news for all the wrong reasons. Last week, she was in the headlines for delivering a rant during which she made it clear that, despite her claimed multiple college degrees from Boston University, she has no idea what a metaphor is. On Sunday, this claimant to a bachelor’s degree in economics said that her, like, totally favorite famed economist and stuff, or something, is, like, that whole Milton Keynes? You know? He’s like totes fleck and stuff, or something.

The problem is, of course, that no one can find any record of any economist named Milton Keynes ever actually living, at least not on earth.

I swear I don’t make this stuff up:

Obviously, the poor dimwitted soul confused the names of John Maynard Keynes and Milton Friedman, both of whom actually are famed economists, and both of whose names AOC likely had to memorize in preparation for a test or two while she was obtaining her obviously worthless “degree” from Boston U. Her handlers need to quit letting her go off-script. Every time she attempts to ad lib something, this is the kind of stuff that happens.

So, what will the next Democrat/media hoax be? Any guesses? – Now that the whole Ukraine/impeachment hoax has come and gone, we are left to wonder what new hoax the Democrats and their corrupt media toadies will devise next. In preparation for this piece, I went back through the last four years and compiled a list of the various hoaxes the Democrat/media propaganda complex has already run against the President.

Thus far, we have had to live through the following:

The Russia Collusion hoax

The Trump is Crazy hoax

The Kavanaugh Nomination hoax

The Charlottesville/”Fine people” hoax

The Porn Star hoax

The Playmate hoax

The Creepy Porn Lawyer hoax

The Emoluments Clause hoax

The Jussie Smollett hoax

The Trump’s a Racist hoax

The Trump is AntiSemitic hoax

The Ukraine/Impeachment hoax

Now, this is most likely not even a comprehensive list – I’m sure I’ve failed to mention several additional hoaxes that our despicable fake news media has worked hand-in-glove with the Democrats to concoct against this President and his Administration. This has been a never-ending, constantly-evolving process that really began as soon as Trump’s campaign was announced way back in 2015.

So, it’s obvious the Democrats have nothing else, which leads to the question: What hoax will they mount next?

San Fran Nan appeared to signal their intentions at the literally insane press conference she gave last Thursday morning in the wake of the Senate vote on acquittal. During that wildly disturbing presser, she mentioned at one point that she thought the President “seemed to be sedated” during his speech. She also spent a great deal of time trying to make the case that the current booming economy was something President Trump inherited from Barack Hussein Obama His Own Self.

Naturally, these statements led to much speculation that the Democrats and their media toadies were about to bring us a new hoax, i.e., the Trump is Drugged hoax. Or maybe they were about to leap off the cliff for good and try to go back and re-litigate the slowest recovery from a recession in U.S. history, which is what really happened during the Obama years, as that administration’s Soviet-style, command-and-control regulatory agenda choked the life out of what might have otherwise become a massive, real economic recovery following the Great Recession.

Oddly, though, there has been almost no followup from either the Democrats or their corrupt media toadies on either front. That could be because there were just too many other relevant news events to cover, as the Democrat Party committed political harikari in Iowa and the Trump Administration just kept on WINNING, bigly.

Or, it could be that Pelosi, who herself very often appears to be drugged – mostly with cheap vodka – was just engaging in a little projection during that press conference. It certainly wouldn’t be the first time that happened.

Or, here’s a thought, it could just be that the Democrats as a party have no idea where to go next, and if they’re lost, then their media toadies are going to be lost, too. That may be why, for the first time in really almost five years, the Democrat/media propaganda complex appears to be dead in the water, without a major hoax currently in play.

Regardless of the reasons behind this pause in hoaxery (I don’t think that’s a word, but I’m going to go with it anyway), we can be sure that it is only temporary. The Democrats have no choice but to keep running hoaxes at this President because they certainly cannot run on their policy record, which is non-existent during this Administration.

Lord knows they can’t leave it to their clown show presidential field to set their Party’s national agenda. The economy-and-society-destroying nonsense being tossed out into the public domain by that collection of radical lunatics, if left out there in a vacuum for the public to consume, would lead to the Democrats’ most crushing electoral disaster since 1984.

So, expect another hoax to start percolating up this week, especially after The Commie wins the New Hampshire primary. The hoaxes we’ve seen thus far have typically been started with an anonymously-sourced hit piece in either the New York Times or the Washington Post, so keep a close eye on those two Democrat propaganda outlets.

We don’t know right now what the hoax will be, but we can be certain that it is coming.

That is all.

Lindsey Graham Drops the “Jail” Bomb on Judge Jeanine

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Appearing with Judge Jeanine Pirro on Fox News, Senator Lindsey Graham gave us another dose of big talk Saturday. The Senator who has done a lot of talking and accomplished pretty much nothing in terms of investigating anything for an entire year as Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee was once again spouting off on investigating pretty much everybody. At one point in the clip below, you will hear him even promise Pirro’s audience that “half the people involved in the Russia investigation” will end up in jail.

Here’s the thing about this: He’s running out of time. Senate investigations take a lot of time. It can and often does take weeks or even months to get a single witness’s testimony, especially given the willingness of Obama judges on the federal courts to intervene in congressional processes these days. But Graham makes it sound as if he has a grand plan for finally, at long last taking some action in this regard now that the impeachment scam has been disposed of.

Below is a 7:23 clip of the interview, much of which is irrelevant to the subject of this piece. A transcription of several of the key passages follows the clip.

Partial transcript:

Pirro: What’s left for Mitt Romney?

Graham: Well, number one, I’m not going to say anything bad about Mitt Romney. I’ve known him for a long time and I think he made a very bad judgment call. I’m not going to question his faith. But let’s see if you and I can figure this out in about two minutes.

Who was behind it [impeachment]? Schiff, Nadler, Pelosi. Not  Mueller, not Watergate prosecutors, not Ken Starr. The 3 most partisan people in the country, who hate Trump’s guts. How did they do it? They impeached the man in 78 days. He couldn’t call a witness; he couldn’t cross-examine anybody; he couldn’t present evidence….[summary of the impeachment scam continues here] this was a bad decision for anybody to vote guilty on these facts.

Pirro: What do they do now? Do they move on?

Graham: I don’t think they can move on, because they’ve got nothing to move on to…

Pirro: Let’s switch it to you guys. Can we expect that you, or Burr as Chairman of Senate Intelligence, may want to look at the whistleblower…the Bidens…James Rich, Chair of Foreign Relations, doesn’t seem to have an appetite. He says “I’ve got other things I’m doing now and I haven’t given it any thought.” Haven’t given it any thought??? America’s been talking about this for 3 months!

Graham: So, we’re not gonna live in a world where, as a Republican, you get investigated from the day you’re sworn in; 3 years later, they’re still coming after you.

Here’s what amazes me. The Russia investigation, what happened? Half the people involved in the Russia investigation are gonna go to jail, and Trump was cleared…

Pirro: Hopefully…

Graham: Well, just hang tight. They come after Trump on Ukraine, and Biden blows up. So, every time they throw a rock at Trump, they get hit.

So, here’s what we should look at: Why did the State Department not act when they were told about the conflict of interest with Hunter Biden regarding Ukraine, right? Who is the whistleblower? Does he have contacts on Schiff’s staff? Did Col. Vindman lead information to the whistleblower? And as to the FISA warrant, how could you sign the warrant four times and not know the thing was off the rails? That’s where I come in.

Pirro: So, you’re going to do something. You want to tell us what you’re going to do?

Graham: Yeah, I’m going to give a list of witnesses to the Department of Justice that I want to call. It’s going to the case agent. I want to find out how this thing got so screwed up. Why didn’t they tell about the Russian source who said the Dossier’s not reliable? How could it be possible that it never goes up to the top?

I want to know what Obama knew about this investigation. I want to call Rosenstein, Sally Yates, Comey, McCabe, and all the people who worked on this case, to find out how it got so off the rails and make sure it never happens again. I want to know who in the White House knew about this counterintelligence investigation against the Republican nominee.

Pirro: [Immediately changes the subject to Joe Manchin’s vote to convict the President. It’s Joe freaking Manchin – who cares?]

Graham: …The reason I’m so upset about this impeachment is it puts every president after Trump at risk. You can’t even pick the phone up as president under this standard.

Pirro: [Changes the subject to Afghanistan.]

[End Transcript]

So, several things to unpack here:

  • As is always the case with Senator Graham, what we have here is a mixed bag. Graham continues to promise to perform investigations, which is great if he starts following through with some real action starting now. Not in April, not in June, not in August because by then it will be too late. Now, Senator.
  • It is encouraging that Graham pointedly lists the whistleblower – who we all know is Eric Ciaramella – Adam Schiff’s staff and Alexander Vindman as subjects he plans to pursue with his committee. Yes, Hunter and Joe Biden are important here, but they weren’t part of this coup effort in any real sense. Ciaramella, Vindman and the bad actors on Schiff’s staff – along with Schiff himself, obviously – were a part of it.
  • And how patently absurd is it that U.S. senators are still going on national TV and saying “the whistleblower” when everyone in the room and watching at home knows who the freaking whistleblower really is? This is national insanity. Ciaramella participated in a COUP D’ETAT, folks, and that is treason.
  • But look at Graham giving himself a convenient out on all of this, when he says he’s going to send a list of potential witnesses to the “case agent” for approval. That “case agent” is a guy named John Durham.
  • If Durham is really performing an actual investigation – and I believe he is – then that’s great. Let him determine whether the Senate taking public testimony will interfere with anything he’s doing. But if, as others suspect, Durham and Barr are just playing a delaying game in concert with Graham and other to put this all off until the November elections have come and gone, then not so great, right?
  • When Graham tells Pirro to “just hang tight” on people going to jail, that is an obvious reference to Durham. If you, like me, believe that Durham is actually conducting an investigation designed to prosecute people, then that might be a signal from Graham that he’s been told things are about to start happening on that front.

When you boil this all down, unless Graham really is planning to start an investigation posthaste, then it’s really hard to see why he would keep going on television to talk a good game. Coming as this appearance does this close to election time, his constituents back home are really going to have some pointed questions for him if, come September, he still hasn’t moved on any of this.

It does make sense that Graham and the other Senate committees would let the whole impeachment scam play itself out before opening their own investigations. It also makes sense that Durham would wait until those waters had calmed before moving on any indictments and prosecutions. Timing is very important in all of this.

Here’s the other thing: Durham is going after real justice for real bad actors. Scams like this fake impeachment can be mounted and play out quickly, but real justice in our system takes time. It’s like the difference between a bottle of Welch’s grape juice and a bottle of 2012 Cade Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon.

In a just world, Attorney General William Barr would announce the appointment of a Special Counsel to investigate the origins of the impeachment coup d’etat, just as he has Durham investigating the origins of the whole Russia Collusion coup effort. Lacking that, we are left with only Republican-controlled Senate committees to do the investigative work, which will certainly end with a series of criminal referrals. Ultimately, either process will require DOJ to act.

Here’s the key statement Graham made in this entire interview: “So, we’re not gonna live in a world where, as a Republican, you get investigated from the day you’re sworn in; 3 years later, they’re still coming after you.”

Unless Durham is really conducting an earnest investigation that truly will end with a bunch of these people going to jail, and unless Graham and Burr and Senate Finance Chairman Chuck Grassley really do mount major investigations into the origins of the impeachment scam through their committees, that is exactly the world we are going to be living in from now on.

It is crucial to remember that all of this takes place with the November elections looming and the GOP holding onto a tenuous Senate majority. Should the voters decide to award the corrupt Democrats a majority in the Senate, then the hopes of ever bringing any of the coup plotters to justice will end, unless they have already been indicted.

Talk is cheap, gentlemen. Time to move.

That is all.

Time to Act: Trump Sends Clear Message to Graham

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Paging Lindsey Graham. Paging Lindsey Graham… – South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham talks a good game about getting tough with all the seditious impeachment cabal participants. As Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Graham has been prancing all over the Fox News talk shows for more than a year now, promising to hold hearings in which he calls Deep State actors from James Comey to John Brennan to Peter Strzok and all points in between to testify.

More recently, Graham has shown up on the Sean Hannity Tick-Tock Hour and elsewhere proclaiming his intent to call all the bad actors in the Democrats’ ongoing impeachment scam to come and talk to his committee under oath and threat of imprisonment. From the fake whistleblower, Eric Ciaramella, to his partner Alexander Vindman, to Joe and Hunter Biden and even Adam Schiff and his staff, Senator Graham now promises to call them all and force them to answer for their mendacity and many acts of disloyalty to the country over the last six months.

Yet, despite of all his posturing and tough talk and more than a year in his chairmanship, Senator Graham has yet to convene a single hearing of his committee to take a look at anything having to do with the whole “Russia Collusion” hoax or the Ukraine hoax. Readers of Today’s Campaign Update long ago grew weary of Graham’s all-talk-and-no-action posturing, and it appears that President Donald Trump has also now arrived at the same point.

Early Monday morning, the President issued a re-tweet of a video of an appearance by his former White House Strategy Advisor, Steve Bannon, on Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures” program with host Maria Bartiromo, addressing the re-tweet to @LindseyGraham:

For those who still like to read stuff, here is a transcript of the exchange between Bannon and Bartiromo:

Bannon: Lindsey Graham – and I have tremendous respect for him – he guaranteed at the Senate Judiciary Committee, we need to have the whistleblower, we need to have the #2 whistleblower, we need to have Adam Schiff as a fact witness, we need Hunter and Joe Biden…I think we need Brennan. We need all of them.

And here’s the other thing we ought to do: President Trump ought to declassify all these reports; he ought to go back to Rosenstein’s … the 40 subpoenas from the House under Devin Nunes forwarded to Rosenstein, he ought to get all of those, he ought to get all those subpoenas and all of those people ought to be called to witness.

This has… we need to have an apparatus that’s official to go about this. To protect the office of the presidency going forward.

Bartiromo: That’s why I have been so adamant about this for 3 years. It wasn’t about President Trump; it was about fairness. It was about being a patriot.  Having the top leadership of the FBI and the CIA put their finger on the scale and try to take down candidate Trump and then President Trump. That’s why my audience wants accountability.

Bannon: The same thing happened in the ’50s and ’60s. That’s why we had the Church Commission, that looked into the activities of the FBI and the CIA during the ’50s and ’60s. This is why you had this whole new structure come up [at those agencies].

We need, this needs to be put on trial. It needs to be put on trial for the American people. President Trump is right: It is the crime of the century, and we can’t cover it up.

And we don’t need to go to the Foreign Affairs…it’s not a Foreign Affairs issue. It should be Senate Judicary. Here’s the reason: Nancy Pelosi and these people are not gonna stop. The formal acquittal vote on Wednesday is just the curtain coming down on Act One. They’re gonna continue on. They’re gonna try to subpoena John Bolton in the House, they want to get his notes. And I point…

Bartiromo: I don’t think this is gonna end anytime soon.

Bannon: It’s not gonna end. And listen: This ties back to what’s happening in Iowa. There’s no heat in any of those candidates. There’s no personalities out there that can beat the President. There’s no…their policies are so radical so they can’t run on personalities, they don’t have the policies… they must destroy Trump.

Nancy Pelosi, from day one, understands that to get back the White House they must destroy Trump. And the way they’re gonna use it is to use these fake hearings. This is not gonna stop. They’re gonna subpoena more people, they’re gonna leak more information, and this is why…I don’t mind getting John Bolton as a witness. Let’s cross-examine him. Let’s get his notes and cross-examine him about that. Let’s get…I don’t mind Mick Mulvaney or OMB people…all the emails – let’s get it all up there.

[End]

So, here we see President Trump sending a clear and unambiguous message to Lindsey Graham his time for making excuses for 13 long months of utter inaction in defending the office of the presidency has now run out.

Your turn, Senator.

That is all.

Democrats, Corrupt Media Jump Start a Replay of the Russia Collusion Hoax

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

This tiresome nonsense is never going to end. – As the Ukraine hoax goes to its certain death in the Senate, the Democrats and their media toadies bring back the Russia hoax. It’s all so very tiresome, but it’s all these depraved, disloyal people have.

The New York Times kicked things off on Monday with a classic narrative-setting piece claiming that the email servers at Burisma – the Ukraine gas company that facilitated the Joe/Hunter Biden influence scam – had been hacked by – guess who? – the Russians. Because of course they’re claiming it was the Russians. The “source” for the Times story is … wait for it … a private Silicon Valley-located security firm called Area 1. Not the FBI, not U.S. intelligence agencies, but a private security firm tied to the Democrats. Oh.

If this all sounds familiar to you, it’s like a badly-done sequel to the Democrat/media’s DNC server scam.  You know – the scam where the folks at the DNC have successfully covered up the murder of Seth Rich for more than three years after Rich most likely did the hacking himself and transmitted their email data to WikiLeaks, a scenario that Julian Assange has basically confirmed on multiple occasions. Area 1 is this scenario’s version of Crowdstrike, the Democrat-tied private security firm that allegedly confirmed the DNC server had been hacked by the “Russians,” although we still have no actual evidence to this day that that actually happened.

So, just as with the DNC server scam, the Times’ corrupt reporters and editors run with the story without any evidence whatsoever that Burisma was actually hacked, or that any “Russians” were involved in any way. The hilarious thing is that the Times story actually admits that, along with the transparent similarities to the DNC server scam in this passage:

It is not yet clear what the hackers found, or precisely what they were searching for. But the experts say the timing and scale of the attacks suggest that the Russians could be searching for potentially embarrassing material on the Bidens — the same kind of information that Mr. Trump wanted from Ukraine when he pressed for an investigation of the Bidens and Burisma, setting off a chain of events that led to his impeachment.

The Russian tactics are strikingly similar to what American intelligence agencies say was Russia’s hacking of emails from Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman and the Democratic National Committee during the 2016 presidential campaign. In that case, once they had the emails, the Russians used trolls to spread and spin the material, and built an echo chamber to widen its effect.

So, why is the Times, in its role as the mouth organ for the Deep State, running with this narrative-setter now, on the eve of the start of the Senate impeachment trial? Obviously to provide cover for Quid Pro Joe. The whole scam is designed to invalidate any effort by the Trump trial team to call either Biden to testify at the trial on the grounds that – naturally – the “Russians” put them up to it.

See how this works? And it gets better.

On the day after the Times ran its narrative-setter, Adam Schiff sent “new evidence” to Jabba the Nadler and the House Judiciary Committee, which manages the impeachment scam, via this letter:

Included in the “evidence” is a flash drive containing mysterious records handed over by Ukrainian Lev Parnas, a supposed “associate” of Rudy Giuliani. Parnas was indicted last year for campaign finance violations by the Justice Department’s Southern District of New York, which continues to be run by deep state skunks.

The Parnas-provided information supposedly includes communications between him and Giuliani, as well as former corrupt Ukrainian officials. The whole intent here is not to provide any real evidence of any wrongdoing by President Trump, but to smear Giuliani and thereby hopefully render any evidence he presents to the Senate invalid.

Over the last two days, we have also seen Schiff, Pelosi and other Democrats talking about now returning to their “Russia Collusion” narrative now that their Ukraine impeachment scam is about to be discarded by the Senate.

Thus, the Democrat/Media/Deep State Axis of Disinformation is now returning us to Page 1 of its Russia Collusion playbook. Burisma is the DNC, Axis 1 is Crowdstrike, the FBI and much of the DOJ remain corrupt despite William Barr’s leadership, and the fake, corrupt news media is all-to-eager to play its role as willing accomplices.

Here’s a prediction for you: After this Senate trial concludes, President Trump will fire the utterly worthless apparatchick, FBI Director Christopher Wray, and that event will serve as the launching point for demands for another “special counsel” witch hunt.

Given the events of the last two days, that seems inevitable, doesn’t it?

So transparent. So tiresome. So despicable, demented, depraved and disloyal.

This is your Democrat Party, circa 2020.

That is all.

The New York Times Proves Again to be a Vile and Despicable Rag

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

What in the hell is a “bias crime”?  – Believe it or not, the New York Times just got a little worse than it already was in terms of the debasement of the English language. In its fake reporting on the latest in a recent string of despicable anti-Semitic attacks on New York City’s Jewish population, the Times manages to publish 500 words without ever even mentioning that the assailant, who stabbed 5 people in the home of a Hasidic rabbi with a machete, was reportedly a non-white male. [Update: Indeed, the suspect who has been arrested is a black male.]

But that’s not the bad part – it’s just standard operating procedure. Here’s the part where the Times takes yet another step down the road towards an Orwellian 1984:

No one has been charged in that attack, and officials have not determined that it was a bias crime.

What in the hell, you might ask, is a “bias crime”? Well, that is what anyone with half a lick of sense would call a “hate crime” – which this clearly was – but which fake journalists working at the nation’s corrupt media outlets want you to believe was something else. See, in the world of the lunatic political left, it is not possible for a non-white person to “hate” – presumably, they can only “bias”, as if that word were an action verb.

Besides, the anti-Semitic left’s thinking goes, the victims were “ultra-orthodox Jews”, so presumably they had it coming, right? Note the use of that term, “ultra-orthodox Jews”, way up in the piece’s sub-head. That’s done intentionally to describe the VICTIMS of this crime as being somehow not normal, and thus help to justify the heinous attack in the readers’ minds.

That term, by the way, is used to describe “fundamentalist Jews who live in segregated communities in parts of North America, Europe and Israel.” Note that you never see the Times or other corrupt “news” outlets using similar dog-whistling language to describe fundamentalist Muslims who segregate themselves into similar communities so they can live under Sharia law, many of them right there in New York City, where the Muslim population literally fields its own illegal police force, complete with police-style squad cars and flashing lights, with zero repercussions from the city’s Marxist mayor or city council.

But hey, this is the “news” outlet that brought us the “1619 Project,” an organized effort to pollute Americans’ minds with the completely false notion that the real founding of “America” came when the first African slave landed on North American soil in the year 1619, and that literally every facet of our nation’s founding and growth had its very basis in that sad event.

It is the corrupt “news” outlet that, in 2008, assigned dozens of reporters to dig up dirt on Sarah Palin after she was chosen to be the GOP sacrificial lamb to serve as the despicable John McCain’s running mate. The same corrupt “news” outlet that never lifted a finger to attempt to vet the background of Barack Hussein Obama, whose education and medical records remain sealed to this day due to media negligence. It is the same corrupt “news” outlet that proudly placed Sarah Jeong, a notorious anti-white racist, on its editorial board in the summer of 2018.

The New York Times is the same corrupt “news” outlet that spent three solid years pretending the Steele Dossier contained a shred of truth in its campaign to support the Democrat/media “Russia Collusion” narrative. The New York Times is the very same corrupt “news” outlet that actually reported on Ukraine’s efforts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election on behalf of the Pantsuit Princess, and on Obama Administration concerns about the impropriety of Hunter and Joe Biden’s influence peddling in that country, and which now pretends that neither event ever happened because that’s what the Democrat/media narrative demands.

The New York Times is the same corrupt “news” outlet that viciously attacked Republicans for wanting to call witnesses in the Senate trial of Bill Clinton in 1998, and now viciously attacks Republicans for wanting to employ the exact same process that was used in the Clinton trial for the upcoming Senate trial of President Trump.

You seriously could never make this stuff up. Not in a million years. But hey, it’s the New York Times, so if you expected anything else, you just haven’t been paying attention.

That is all.

How the Coup Plotters Have Ensnared Themselves in a Trap of Their Own Making

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

I’m old enough to remember when MSNBC’s fake on-air talent was condemning others for spreading conspiracy theories. – There really are no depths to which MNSBC and CNN will not plumb in order to give Deep State enemies of the people a paid microphone on their fake news programs.

The latest hired contributor at MSNBC is the sleazy ex-U.S. attorney Andrew Weissman, otherwise known as the guy who really ran the Mueller Witch Hunt and wrote the Mueller Report. Appearing with fake host and former George W. Bush adviser, the truly demented Nicolle Wallace on Friday, Weissman made it clear that, once the current Democrat/media Ukraine narrative has crashed and burned in spectacularly failed fashion, the Deep State coup plotters plan to go right back to pushing their spectacularly failed Russia Collusion conspiracy theory.

Asked by Wallace about the alleged call between Ambassador Gordon Sondland and President Trump, which supposedly was placed on Sondland’s unsecured cell phone in a Kiev restaurant, Weissman speculated that it’s all part of a grand conspiracy by Mr. Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin to fix the 2020 election!

I swear I do not make this stuff up:

“You know that call is going to be monitored by the Russians… Do you care about the Russians having it?”

“Why weren’t the president and Ambassador Sondland worried about the fact that the Russians would undoubtedly in Ukraine be able to hear this conversation?” he then asked.

“If your thinking is ‘I don’t care because the Russians will be siding with me in the 2020 election,’ then you’re all on the same team,” the former Mueller prosecutor hypothesized.

So, there you have it, folks: The Democrats and their willing media co-conspirators signaling their plans for the next chapter in their never-ending coup d’etat efforts. No doubt they already have folks at Fusion GPS, Crowdstrike and Christopher Steele – along with some high-powered law firm through which they can launder all the money – signed to contracts to assist in the next effort to frame a President of the United States.

This latest revelation by one of the leading figures in the endless series of coup plots goes back to the question posed here at the Campaign Update on November 10: How Does the Never-ending Coup d’etat End?

Of course, the better question to ask is, does this never-ending coup d’etat effort ever end? The answer to that is obviously a resounding “NO.” It will just continue, morphing into the next false narrative even as the previous narrative crashes and burns, becoming increasingly shrill, careless and violent as time goes on and the plotters’ frustrations mount.

This is a game the Democrats can play with America’s very existence since they control 95% of the corrupt national news media, and it is a game they feel they must play since Donald Trump’s very presence in the office of the presidency threatens to expose and destroy the continued ability of the DC Swamp denizens to fleece the nation – and other nations, as Quid Pro Joe and his ne’er-do-well son Hunter blatantly did in Ukraine and China.

Make no mistake about this: Donald Trump is going to be re-elected next year in what is shaping up to become an epic electoral college landslide. He is going to be President of the United States of America for five more years, and the never-ending coup d’etat will continue for the duration, and even after he has left office.

The simple fact of the matter is that the coup plotters and their media co-conspirators have no choice now. They’ve come this far and completely exposed themselves to anyone who is paying attention. Even if the Democrats wanted to chuck it all and try to focus on actually doing real government stuff, they are completely bankrupt of any policy ideas that are not already proven failures.

Add that to this new reality: The Republicans are suddenly, finally starting to strike back. We now know the Horowitz Report, as timid and white-washing as it no doubt will be in its findings, will be released on December 9. We know that Attorney General William Barr and U.S. Attorney John Durham continue to expand the scope of their own investigation into the origins of the never-ending coup. And we know that Senate Republicans are gearing up to mount a long and aggressive Senate trial effort once the House sends over its inevitable baseless articles of impeachment, with even Lindsey Graham suddenly sending out letters and demanding all sorts of information from the State Department.

Thus, even if the Democrats wanted to bring the coup plot to a screeching halt, the inertia they’ve created with their Russia Collusion and Ukraine hoaxes now makes that impossible to achieve.

How does the never-ending coup end? It doesn’t, because the Democrats and their willing, corrupt media co-conspirators have ensnared themselves in a trap of their own making.

That is all.

America’s Second Civil War is Three Years Old

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

The whole strategy revolves around wearing you down. – Americans who inhabit what the coastal elites condescendingly refer to “flyover country,” that vast center of the nation that turned into a sea of red on Election Day 2016 to elect Donald Trump to the presidency, are being forced to make a choice when it comes to their President. The relentless, neverending coup efforts being led by the Obama-loyal Deep State are designed to force you ultimately get to the point where you will throw up your hands and say ‘go ahead, get rid of Trump, just give me some peace.’

Image result for county by county election map 2016

Our nation today is in a different kind of Civil War, one that began in July, 2016 when James Comey’s FBI coordinated with John Brennan’s CIA to mount a spying and entrapment effort against the Trump Campaign. It is a war of attrition, a war built on the relentless pushing of Big Lie after Big Lie after Big Lie.

It is a war being mounted by squeamish, disloyal Republicans, the entirety of the Democrat Party, vast pockets of treasonous corruption within the Justice Department, the FBI and the Intelligence Community, 95% of the nation’s news media and about the same percentage of the entertainment industry. The war is supported by most of our institutions of higher “learning” and even filters down into our public schools.

It is a war on our senses, a war on our stamina, a war on our minds and a war on our children and grandchildren. It is a war in which we now cannot watch an episode of a sitcom or a crime drama without being assaulted with anti-Trump messages that insult us and our intelligence. It is a war in which we cannot wear a red cap or put a bumper sticker on our car expressing the desire to keep our country great without fear of being assaulted on the street or in a restaurant.

It is a war in which the simple fact of being white and male, or African American and conservative makes you a potential target of publicly-condoned derision and personal peril. It is a war in which you can lose your business or job if you don’t refer to a man wearing gaudy make-up and a dress as “ma’am.” It is a war in which giant social media monopolies are allowed to discriminate against you if their 100%-leftist staff do not approve of your thoughts and words.

It is a war in which associates of President Trump have their homes broken into in the middle of the night, are perp-walked before CNN’s cameras and held in solitary confinement while awaiting trial on charges that the DOJ investigated and refused to prosecute years before. It is a war in which enemies of President Trump can have multiple criminal referrals levied against them by the Inspector General and walk away scot free to lucrative book deals and six-figure “contributor” contracts with leftist fake news cable channels.

It is a war in which elected members of congress willingly do everything they can to prevent a duly-elected President and his administration from being able to conduct the nation’s foreign policy. It is a war in which the nation was held captive for three years by a “Russia Collusion” narrative tirelessly pushed by the fake news media and investigated by multiple congressional committees and a “special counsel” who conducted himself like the head of the American Gestapo. It is a war in which the special counsel’s report fully exonerates the President of any wrongdoing, only to have the Democrats and the fake news media double down on the Big Lie and pretend that it convicted him.

It is a war in which the Intelligence Community is now coordinating with the Democrats, the media and the entertainment industry in the next Big Lie, this one having to do with a phone call between the President and his peer in Ukraine. Even though it is now transparently obvious that this is just another Big Lie, we can count on the Democrat/media complex of propaganda to double down on their latest false narrative.

We can expect them to do that because the strategy here is not to have you actually believe any of the nonsense they’re pushing. The strategy is simply to wear you down, to ultimately make you bend the knee and give up on this silly quest to keep America a great and independent nation.

When this latest coup/impeachment effort crashes and burns in spectacular fashion, we can expect the forces aligned against Trump and his supporters to simply make up another false narrative and keep the coup going.

The same thing is happening right now in Britain, where Boris Johnson, the Prime Minister elected to complete the Brexit effort the voters approved three long years ago, is under a similar relentless assault by that country’s deep state, disloyal lawmakers and fake news media. As I wrote in one of the earliest Campaign Updates way back in 2016, Brexit and Trump are essentially the same political movement, a movement that pits those who love their country and want it to remain a strong, independent nation against the forces of globalism and one-world-government.

The Brits who support Brexit have held firm through all that time and grown stronger. Trump’s base of support has also held firm and grown larger. That base has remained unshakable not because they necessarily approve of every aspect of Trump’s personal behavior, but because they understand what is at stake here, and whose side Trump is on.

Because at the end of the day in this tiresome Civil War, Trump is on the side of Americans and America. I don’t know about the rest of you, but they won’t ever wear me down.

That is all.

The “Whistleblower” Scandal is Just Another Fantasy Play

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Cow farts? What cow farts? – At the annual Steak Fry in Polk County, Iowa, Democrat presidential contenders helped cook up roughly 10,500 steaks and other cuts of beef for the attendees over the weekend. This conspicuous consumption of the by-products of cattle comes after those selfsame Democrats had spent six full months lecturing us all that we need to quit eating beef because the cow farts are destroying our environment.

You seriously could never in a million years make these people up, folks.

The motives behind the “whistleblower” fake scandal are now becoming clear. – Some are speculating that this is a Democrat/media effort to protect Joe Biden from persistent allegations of wrongdoing in his dealings with Ukraine while serving as Vice President. Others are speculating that it’s an effort by the Democrat/media complex to recover from the utter failure of their fake “Russia Collusion” narrative.

It is becoming increasingly clear that it is in fact both, and even more. It’s also an effort by the Democrat/media complex to protect Hillary Clinton and her corrupt use of Ukraine spying efforts against the Trump Campaign in 2016.

Where Biden and Hillary are concerned, Rudy Giuliani laid it all out very clearly to a very uncomfortable John Roberts of Fox News on Sunday morning. Roberts did his best to obfuscate and shift focus on BidenClinton’s  behalf, but Rudy got the message out in a very specific and brutal way regardless. Here’s the clip – watch it at this link.

So, here are the bullet points on Rudy’s comments:

– Ukrainian officials worked on Hillary Clinton’s behalf to interfere in the 2016 U.S. elections and were in fact paid to do so;

– When the newly-elected Ukrainian president came into office, his administration began trying to get proof of his predecessor’s interference efforts to the U.S. State Department and Justice Department, but those efforts were rebuffed for months by Obama holdovers;

– They finally decided to contact Giuliani last fall, and Rudy decided to take up the cause in large part because it would provide exculpatory evidence against the efforts by Special Counsel Robert Mueller and the Democrat/media complex to frame President Trump;

– Giuliani has been trying to get someone, anyone in the mainstream news media to report on the matter, but has met a stonewall of media corruption, including at Fox News;

– Meanwhile, Biden’s corrupt acts vis a vis Ukraine are a matter of public record, and video even exists of Biden bragging about strong-arming the 2016 Ukraine government to fire the prosecutor who was investigating his son’s firm for corruption. He was proud of it.

Now, while all that’s going on, percolating just below the surface waiting to bubble up in the midst of the Democrats’ presidential nominating race, the Mueller Report comes out and is a complete dud. This leaves San Fran Nan, Jabba The Nadler and Bug Eyes Schiff in the lurch, pulling the rug out from under their grand plans to impeach the President on obstruction of justice grounds.

What to do, what to do?

What is now becoming obvious is that Schiff or someone close to him in the Lawfare community came up with the idea of dummying up a new pretense for “obstruction.” How do they do that? Well, the intelligence bureaucracy is still teeming with Obama holdovers eager to do the work of the Deep State. Just get one of them to file a complaint against President Trump under the intelligence community’s whistleblower statute.

While all this scheming is going on, lo and behold, President Trump holds a call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in which the corrupt actions of Vice President Joe Biden becomes one of the topics that arise during a discussion about all the rampant corruption that took place under Zelensky’s predecessor. Now, all you have to do is find someone in the intel community – preferably one of the array of senior folks who listened in on the call first-hand – to file a complaint. When none of those people heard anything to complain about, no problem – you just find some second-tier Obamaphile who heard some stuff about the call second-hand, and presto!, you have your “whistleblower.”

Next, have Schiff, in his role as Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, start filing subpoenas for documents, recordings and testimony that he knows he will never receive. He knows this because a) the intelligence community’s whistleblower statute does not apply to the president of the United States, and b) such requests present all manner of separation of powers issues under the Constitution, as I explained in yesterday’s Campaign Update. Thus, with the White House refusing for very valid reasons to cooperate, you send Bug Eyes and his deputies out to be interviewed every hour on the hour on CNN and MSNBC and Shep Smith at Fox, wailing about the President’s “obstruction of congress.”

Now, it’s time to bring the thousands of Democrat media toadies into the game, complete with a set of talking points they all loyally parrot on TV, radio and in their print publications. Those talking points maintain that Biden did nothing wrong, that Hillary was never involved with the Ukraine, and the only person who ever did anything bad related to Ukraine since The Ukraine was invented is the Bad Orange Man in the White House.

So now we have a layer of media protection atop both Hillary and Crazy Uncle Joe, and Schiff running all over the place claiming a new “obstruction” scandal that supposedly gives the House grounds to impeach the President. All that over a phone call that was clearly a perfectly fine instance of the POTUS conducting U.S. foreign policy as envisioned in the Constitution. It’s as brilliant as it is evil.

Now, there’s nothing real to worry about here, given that the entire case against the President is made up out of whole cloth, exactly as the entire “Russia Collusion” fantasy was. The Democrats aren’t doing any of this out of any real thought they might actually be able to impeach Donald Trump. They’re simply using it as a distraction to protect two of their Party’s most corrupt icons, and in hopes of damaging Trump’s chances at re-election.

It is no accident that all of this arises just as the President’s public approval ratings have again risen above those enjoyed by Barack Hussein Obama His Own Self at the same point during his first term in office. It is also no accident that it all comes up as the Trump economy refuses to cooperate with the Democrat/media’s six-week-long effort to talk us into a recession. I mean, when you have Bloomberg publishing a piece titled, “Hold that Recession: U.S. Indicators are Trouncing Forecasts,” you know that particular ship has run aground.

This latest elaborate bit of Democrat/media theater will likely have a similar lifespan before it has entirely imploded and run its course. It will fail just as all the prior fantasy plays against Trump have failed, because Trump did nothing wrong.

It’s tiresome, but this is all these corrupt, morally-and-intellectually-bankrupt Democrats have. You would think they’d get tired of all the scheming and play-acting at some point, but no, it’s only going to get worse as Election Day 2020 approaches.

This will never end until we stop electing Democrats. It really is that simple.

That is all.

End of Week Summation: Trump Just Keeps on Winning

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Some Friday odds and ends. – Michael Barthel at the Pew Research Center has a very telling piece up this week about the state of the media in America, by the numbers. Key findings include the fact that total newspaper circulation fell in 2018 to its lowest point since 1940, down about 9% from 2017. Ad revenue was off by a whopping 13% year over year. I can’t think of a more deserving industry – led as it is by the news-faking New York Times and Washington Post – to suffer such a fate.

Tired of all this #WINNING yet? – It’s buried waaaaaayyyyyy down in the bowels of the report, but the IMF this week upgraded its 2019 economic growth forecast for the U.S. economy from 2.3% to 2.6%. For 2020, the IMF forecasts a U.S. GDP growth rate of 1.9%. It’s important to remember that the IMF has made a habit of underestimating U.S. growth rates in recent years.  Gosh, wonder why?

No collusion, yet again. – The Senate Intelligence Committee, chaired by RINO Richard Burr of North Carolina, issued a report on its long-overdue investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 elections yesterday, and guess what it found? No collusion.

The report of course alleges that the Russians attempted to interfere in the 2016 elections in a variety of ways – something they have done in every U.S. election cycle since 1920 – and notes that the Obama DHS was ineffectual in doing anything about it:

While the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and FBI warned states about cyber attacks in the summer and fall of 2016, their warnings “did not provide enough information or go to the right people,” the report said.

But, despite thousands of fake media reports to the contrary, the report, in its very next paragraph, notes that the Trump Administration has made significant strides in dealing with the issue:

Since then, the government’s actions have “evolved significantly,” the committee determined, noting DHS had made “great strides” in educating and providing assistance to state and local election officials.

The progress made by DHS and election officials, “is a testament to what we can accomplish when we give people the opportunity to be part of a solution,” Republican Sen. Richard Burr of North Carolina, the committee’s chairman, said in a statement. “There is still much work that remains to be done, however.”

Man, it had to be hard for Burr to utter those words, after all the toadying he has done for ranking Democrat Mark Warner throughout the course of this ridiculous investigation.

President Trump is such a threat to our nation’s security that we will now spend the next six weeks going on lavish junkets at taxpayer expense. – Barely 24 hours after having spent all day Wednesday claiming that President Donald Trump is an existential threat to our nation’s security and that they would never, never, never, ever take a moment’s rest until he is removed from office, House Democrats led by Nancy Pelosi adjourned their chamber for a six-week-long vacation.

I swear I don’t make this stuff up.

If a congressional hearing is held and nobody’s watching, does it really make a sound? – But hey, it turns out it didn’t much matter since so few Americans were actually watching Wednesday’s festivities. All combined, the audiences for the coverage of the Mueller hearing on ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, MSNBC, Fox News and C-Span totaled just 13 million people. That’s slightly less than 4% of the U.S. population, folks.

At the end of the day, the vaunted Mueller Investigation, which Democrats and their myriad toadies in the national news media assured you all for two solid years would bring down a duly-elected President of the United States of America, went out not with a bang, but with a doddering, stammering, bumbling whimper.

Regardless of what the Democrat/media propaganda complex attempts to do next, from this point forward, the President and the Department of Justice will be playing offense in this fight to save the country.

See? There really still is justice in America.

That is all.

The Witch Hunt is Dead! Long Live the Witch Hunt!

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

The Witch Hunt is dead! Long live the Witch Hunt! – In case you are wondering why every Democrat from Hawaii to Maine is screaming for Attorney General William Barr to “release the full, unredacted Mueller Report!”, it’s because they know that will never happen.

They know that Mueller’s report – assuming it is a fullsome narrative and not just the listing of indictments, prosecutions and deferrals required by the governing statute – will certainly be chock-full of classified information and other passages that the FBI and intelligence agencies will want to redact under their handy “sources and methods” rubrick.  They also know that AG Barr is an old pro, a guy who is going to play this situation strictly by the book, which likely means he is going to compile his own summary report that fully eliminates such concerns and release that to congress and the public instead.

Thus, their cynical and unfillable demand for the “full, unredacted report” will then be transformed into claims that Barr, the disciple of George H.W. Bush who most of them were praising just a few months ago, is now just a Trump toadie who is engaged in a coverup, claims that the Democrats plan to keep pounding right on through Election Day, 2020.

This claim of coverup will become a major part of the Democrat justification for mounting their own Witch Hunts that will consume most of the time over the next 18 months of at least three House committees:  Judiciary, Intelligence and Oversight. Party leaders feel they have no choice but to keep all of this anti-American nonsense alive in order for one of their array of freaks, miscreants, commies and outright nutjobs to have any chance of defeating President Donald Trump at the ballot box next year.

So, if you are frustrated that the Democrats who have spent the last 20 months guaranteeing us that Gestapo Chief, er, “Special Counsel” Mueller has “got the goods” on the President and several members of his family now refuse to accept Mueller’s finding that there was no “Russia Collusion” or “obstruction of justice” and allow our country to return to some sense of normalcy, well, this is why. Yes, it is demented; yes, it is depraved; yes, it is utterly despicable and un-American behavior, but hey, this is the Democrats we are talking about here.

What did you expect?

So, let’s review the Mueller Witch Hunt from a statistical perspective:

  • Money spent – well in excess of $30 million
  • Number of days – 675
  • Number of indictments – 34
  • Number of indictments against Americans – 8
  • Number of indictments against Russian ham sandwiches Mueller knows will never come to this country to stand trial – 25
  • Number of indictments against Concorde Management, whose trial Mueller continues to desperately postpone because he has a big bag of nothing against them – 1

MOST IMPORTANTLY…

  • Number of indictments related to “Collusion” or “Obstruction” – ZERO, ZIP, ZILCH, NADA

And what of our fake news media, this collection of propagandists for the Democrat Party who spent 20 months coordinating their messaging with the DNC on this matter, promoting the “Russia Collusion” fantasy like Nabisco promotes Vanilla Wafers?

In case you missed it, MSNBC’s resident conspiracy theorist, Rachel Maddow, was so upset by Mueller’s “no collusion” conclusion that she literally wept on national television last night:

Isn’t that glorious?

You can be sure that there was plenty of weeping going on behind the scenes over at CNN and the New York Times and the Washington Post and ABC, NBC, CBS as well, as all the fake-newsers saw their vaunted Ship of Mueller run aground on the sharp shoals of reality. But will there be any accountability for these people, even the slightest, meekest admissions of their abject, overwhelming wrong-ness for the last 20 months?

Oh, hell no. Of course not. Nobody at any of our major media organizations maintains the slightest concern about getting anything right anymore – they just care about getting Trump. So all we will see out of these despicable hacks – the ones who don’t break down in tears on live TV, anyway – will be a change in talking points to make it seem like they had predicted this outcome from Mueller’s operation all along, and that the “real action” is over in congress and the Southern District of New York U.S. Attorney’s office.

And remember: The reason they will do this is because… wait for it…THAT’S WHAT THEIR DEMOCRAT MASTERS TELL THEM TO DO.

Once you realize and accept that, it all makes perfect sense.

That is all.

Why The Media Falls for Obvious Hoaxes: Because, Like Fox Mulder, They Want to Believe

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Jussie, we hardly knew ye. – And just like that, Jussie Smollett’s obvious hoax, which was promoted by the entirety of your fake news media and a raft of craven Democrat politicians for two solid weeks because it fit their anti-Trump narrative, came to a crashing end. In case you missed it, news came down last night that Chicago Police had charged the neurotic actor with felony disorderly conduct and filing a false report. And thus, yet another media-promoted hoax – which was an obvious hoax from its first fake reports – crashes and burns with no one in the media bothering to apologize for their own conduct.

Some have speculated over the past few days about why it is that our fake news media keeps falling for this kind of transparent hoax, ruminating over all sorts of complex explanations.  But the reality is really quite simple: The overwhelmingly naive, biased, rage-filled leftist “journalists” who infest the nation’s newsrooms quite simply want to believe anything that reflects negatively on President Donald Trump and/or his supporters.

Think of these people as a bunch of Fox Mulders from the old X-Files series, only not quite. Despite Mulder’s constant refrain of “I want to believe,” his character did consistently employ a healthy dose of skepticism in his investigations of “paranormal” activities, many of which ended up being blatant hoaxes. So, despite his desire to “believe” in the story line laid out before him, his healthy skepticism meant he had nothing to apologize for at the end of each episode.

Contrast that to the on-air leftwing activists at CNN and MSNBC, and the anti-Trump fanatics who pose as “editors” and “reporters” at the New York Times and Washington Post, not to mention disgraceful digital sites like the Daily Beast and the Huffington Post. Every time some obvious hoax that would cast negative light on the President or someone associated with him arises, some combination of these media outlets invariably become the ring-leaders of the fake media mob.

Think about it: All of these media outlets still desperately cling to the “Russia Collusion” fantasy, despite public knowledge that the entire thing was concocted by the Hillary Clinton campaign, despite the public knowledge that it is based entirely on a fake “Dossier” compiled by foreign agents who were on the Clinton/DNC payroll, despite the failure of multiple congressional committees and a 21-month-long Special Counsel investigation to turn up a shred of evidence implicating the President in any wrongdoing.

Why is that? Because they want to believe. The hoax fits their preferred narrative, after all. Why be skeptical? Why employ some modicum of journalistic standards, when your personal bias and greatest longings in life have been confirmed?

These and other fake media outlets still treat Christine Blasey Ford as some sort of heroic angel despite the reality that pretty much everything she testified to against Brett Kavanaugh has been proven to have been false. But hey, why let facts get in the way of a good anti-Trump narrative? They want to believe.

These same fake media outlets spent two weeks in January smearing a bunch of Catholic school kids for no real reason other than a few of them were wearing MAGA caps and one of them was – gasp! – smiling! Their smearing of these children was based entirely on an obviously-edited video, even though the full video clearly demonstrated the kids were the ones who had been assaulted and had done nothing wrong.  But the edited version fit the Democrat/media narrative about anyone who supports the President, so they all went with that instead. On Tuesday, the cretins at the Washington Post got named in a $250 million libel suit for those efforts. Hopefully more such filings will follow.

There have been at least two dozen times over the past two years in which either the Times or the Post published stories based solely on “anonymous sources” making some wild claim about either President Trump or Donald, Jr. or someone in the Administration, stories that immediately created an online feeding frenzy from all the other fake media outlets, and stories that within 24-48 hours were proven to be utterly and laughably fake.  Hoaxes. Obvious hoaxes from the start, to anyone with a modicum of skepticism.

But the media wanted to believe those stories and repeated them in a frenzy without the slightest analysis.

The Smollett case stank to high heaven from the very first report. We were asked to believe that, in heavily-liberal Chicago, on a night when the temperature was well below zero, there were these “white supremacist” guys roaming around wearing MAGA caps, looking for some no-account actor to assault. We were asked to believe that these MAGA white guys shouted “this is Trump country” and various racial slurs during their assault, and even had a rope handy to wrap around Smollett’s neck.

Even better, we were asked to believe that Smollett’s Subway sandwich escaped unharmed during the assault, and that Smollett sat around for 45 minutes wearing the rope while he ate said sandwich, and still had it around his neck when the police arrived. Even better than that, we were supposed to believe these MAGA-cap white supremacists had splattered Smollett with bleach even though the temperature was about 30 degrees below the point at which bleach freezes.

An obvious hoax.  A hoax so transparent that Fox Mulder wouldn’t even have wanted to believe it. But the entirety of our fake news media and leadership of the Democrat Party sure as hell did. They all fell for it hook, line and sinker, going out of their way to deploy racially-charged language in their statements and tweets in which they referred to the “victim” in glowing terms.

They wanted to believe because it fit their preferred narrative.

Now that the media’s hero has been revealed as a complete fraud and will go to trail for his crimes, the media will no doubt support his almost-certain efforts to claim that he is actually the real victim here: A victim of depression, a victim of bi-polar disorder, a victim of some sort of mental or emotional malady that he and his lawyers hope will get him sentenced to rehab rather than jail time. And once whatever sentence he receives has been completed, Smollett will no doubt be paid millions by some book publisher and millions more for the movie rights to his “story”, and the fake media will award its hero with gobs of free airtime and print space to promote whatever he’s hawking.

Because that’s what our fake reporters and editors and talking heads do with their favored frauds. They want to believe, and one way or another, they will.

It really is that simple. No further analysis required.

That is all.

The Fake News Enemies of the People Promote Our Constant State of Outrage

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

These particular white supremacists don’t appear to fit the profile. – If you’ve been keeping up with the whole Jussie Smollett hoax, you’ll know that the cat finally rushed out of the bag on Friday, when Chicago police released a photo of the two “attackers” who Smollett had described as being white supremacists wearing MAGA caps and screaming “this is Trump country!” while they assaulted him. Here’s the photo of the “white supremacists”:

Oh.

Turns out these are two brothers from Nigeria who are now confirming to police what some of us have known all along: That the entire episode is a hoax schemed up by an incredibly insecure person to smear President Donald Trump and everyone who supports him.

It’s important to remember that pretty much everyone in our fake news media spent an entire week participating in and perpetuating the hoax, just as they participated in and perpetuated the smearing of the Covington Catholic School kids a couple of weeks earlier. If you want to understand why so many Americans spend their lives in a near-constant state of outrage, look no further than the talking head on your television screen or editorial board of your local newspaper.

CBS news is perhaps the most guilty of participating in this brand of outrage fake journalism this week, dedicating its “60 Minutes” program to airing a puff piece fake interview with disgraced ex-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe in yet another effort to revive the rotting corpse of the media/Democrat “Russia Collusion” fantasy play. It is an absolute disgrace to the journalistic profession – whose own corpse is getting pretty smelly at this point – that a major media outlet would grant so much airtime to the promotion of a book that is little more than a 300-page smear of a duly-elected President of the United States.

Oh, wait, McCabe’s book is more than that, isn’t it? It is actually a 300-page outlining of a coup d’etat attempt that was organized and managed by a cabal of Obama holdovers at the FBI and DOJ. It is an outright admission of high treason, a plan to overturn the result of a national election. In a sane world, Mr. McCabe wouldn’t be on national TV being interviewed by the terminally smarmy Scott Pelley, he’d be sitting at the defendant’s table at a trial before a jury of 12 of his peers.

And we can’t blame the media alone for our state of perpetual outrage: They only do it in their unending efforts to support and provide cover for the Democrat Party, whose entire model for “success” relies on the Saul Alinsky/George Soros tactic of pitting one class of people against another.

In the latest of a million examples of this reality, Heather Nauert withdrew her name from consideration to become our country’s new ambassador to the United Nations late last week due to the constant assaults on her reputation and family from the Democrats and the fake news media. Her biggest crime? She apparently employed an illegal alien as a maid and paid her in cash.

Yes, friends, the exact same people who promote open borders so that all these poor people from Latin America can come into our country and “do the work Americans won’t do” went after Ms. Nauert for employing a poor person from Latin America for “doing the work Americans won’t do”. You seriously cannot make this stuff up.

Nor is the tactic limited to the national media – it is a constant feature in more local media, too. In Texas, out here in flyover country where I live, both the Fort Worth Star Telegram and Houston Chronicle were forced to retract a story from last week in which they accused Texas Republican Lt. Governor Dan Patrick of under-paying his property taxes.

When a friend commended the newspapers for correcting their story, I pointed out to him that no apology would have been necessary were both media outlets not so overly-anxious to smear any politician with an “R” next to his or her name. Indeed, if Dan Patrick were a Democrat, no story would have ever been printed, much less rushed to press without doing the 2 minutes of research needed to figure out that the reason why Patrick’s taxes on his home had gone down instead of up from one year to the next was because he had properly filed for the state’s homestead exemption, a tax reduction program to which every Texas citizen is entitled on their place of residence.

There is nothing to admire in what the Star Telegram and Chronicle did, just as there is nothing admirable about CBS promoting a criminal’s book or CNN and MSNBC spending 24 hours a day, 7 days a week promoting the latest smear du jour. It’s all just a part of the same tactic, the same business model, the same effort to fake the news in support of a favored political party.

When the news media is fake, our entire society suffers. If you want to see the true enemies of the people, just pick up a newspaper or turn on your TV. You can’t miss ’em.

That is all.

The New Democrat/Media Narrative: Congress Must Take Up Mueller’s Witch Hunt

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

This is going to become hard to keep up with. – When the Republican candidates for the presidency assembled for their first debate in the summer of 2015, there were 17 of them. At the rate the Democrats are going so far this year, they will exceed that number by Valentine’s Day.

Hawaii Representative Tulsi Gabbard told communist CNN talk show host Van Jones that she plans to toss her lei into the ring within the next week. As I mentioned yesterday, San Antonio politician Julian Castro will be making his formal announcement today, joining Congressman John Delaney of Maryland as the first two formally-declared candidates. And of course, Fauxcahontas announced last week that she’s formed an exploratory committee, which means she’s running too.

So, Ms. Gabbard will make it four, and she’s actually the most interesting of the bunch.  She’s only 37 years old, but has been making news for years in her congressional role as a rare contrarian within the Democrat congressional caucus. Don’t get me wrong, she’s a socialist like all the rest of them, but she’s at least fairly intelligent about it and is not shy about calling out her party’s own excesses when she sees them. She has courage, in other words, and that is a terribly rare thing in a Democrat politician.

Gabbard most recently made news earlier this week when she called out dimwitted Hawaii Senator Mazie Hirono and California Senator Kamala Harris for the anti-Catholic bigotry the two exhibited recently in their roles on the Senate Judiciary Committee.  Gabbard was also frequently critical of the Obama Administration and of Hillary Clinton during her own disastrous run for the presidency.

One interesting thing Gabbard’s candidacy will do is without question give the Democrat field the broadest range of age in American history.  Think about it:  From Silent Generation Bernie Sanders at 77 to Millennial Tulsi Gabbard at 37, the Democrat field will span four full generations and 40 years. That is unprecedented.

But bottom line, Gabbard is far too intelligent, honest and interesting to ever win the Democrat Party’s presidential nomination, but she could set herself up for a cabinet position in some future Democrat administration by raising her public profile with a primary run.

Actual exchange at a Trump press availability on Friday afternoon:

TRUMP: Good job yesterday, I appreciate your sales pitch.

ACOSTA: I didn’t see any danger on the border Mr. President.

TRUMP: That’s because we had a wall.

Oof. And that’s why Donald Trump is President.

The fake media starts a new narrative using a most reliable source. – It didn’t get a ton of notice, but early Thursday morning, leftist rag Mother Jones put up a column by Democrat activist/pretend journalist David Corn titled “The Myth of the Mueller Report.” Corn, reading the handwriting on the wall, spends 1,000 words or so detailing the fact that Special Counsel Robert Mueller is under no obligation to produce any sort of public report, or any report at all that does anything other than detail the various indictments of ham sandwiches he’s secured over the past 20 months, and submit it confidentially to whomever happens to be serving as attorney general at the time.

The handwriting on the wall to which I refer is all the obvious signals that, despite all the hysteria and false reporting in our fake news media, Mueller has been slowly winding his operation down since last August and is likely to close up shop and issue whatever final report he’s going to issue shortly after the confirmation of new Attorney General William Barr is confirmed by the Senate.

The other piece of handwriting that’s all over our national reading wall  is that, along about that same time, DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz will be issuing his final report – at long last – on all the rampant abuse of the FISA system that took place during most of 2016 and into 2017. That report will not be good for Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, and everyone knows it, including Mr. Barr. That’s why we saw the news early this week that the oily Mr. Rosenstein will be leaving his own office right around the same time these other major events are taking place.

All of this is horrible news for the Democrats and their  media agents who, like Corn and Mother Jones, have been faithfully pushing the “Russia Collusion” fantasy on behalf of the Democrats for the last 26 months. They are desperate to keep the fantasy alive and need another vehicle for doing that once the Mueller witch hunt closes up shop.

Enter the new Democrat majority in the House of Representatives, and the concluding logic in Corn’s piece, which reads as follows:

Providing the citizenry a complete account of the Trump-Russia scandal is actually the responsibility of Congress.

And there it is: The roadmap for media justification of the endless series of kangaroo-court hearings the Democrats are going to conduct through various congressional committees for the next two years. 20+ months of a Special Counsel witch hunt aren’t going to deliver the Democrats their unicorn, so it is now up to Congress to spend the next 24 months pounding the public with the same nonsense.

You can expect to see Corn’s “logic” echoed throughout the fake news media’s editorial pages and talking head panels in the coming weeks and months.  Because this is the narrative, and pounding home the narrative is all our fake news media does anymore.

That is all.

Are You Ready for Beto 2020? You’d Better Be.

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Hey, remember all that media-fed drama about whether San Fran Nan would be our next Speaker of the House? –  Yeah, that was all just a lot of stuff and nonsense, as the late, great James Kilpatrick liked to say.

On Wednesday, the Democrat sheep in the House of Representatives, after having been cajoled and arm-twisted and outright threatened by Nancy Pelosi for the last few weeks, overwhelmingly voted to return the despicable California representative to the Speaker’s chair, from whence she shall come to judge the quick and the dead in the House for the next two years. The vote of the Democrat caucus members was 203 for Pelosi and just 32 against, demonstrating yet again how painfully hard it is to find a spine anywhere among that pathetic collection of grifters, thugs and brown-nosers.

Pelosi will still need to find 15 additional votes when the full House votes to formally elect its new speaker in January, but anyone who doubts she will find them among her own caucus or self-aggrandizing Republicans is living in a dream world.  Elections have consequences, and having stuttering, stammering, doddering Nan as Speaker is the main consequence of the election just past.

One can only hope. – President Donald Trump caused a major media meltdown early yesterday when re-tweeted this message to his followers:

Now that Jeff Sessions is no longer attorney general, there does seem to be hope that such a happy outcome could be looming around the corner. Make no mistake about it: The fear of something like this taking place is why Democrats have been so focused on tarring and feathering acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker since Trump appointed him to that position. The arguments that Whitaker’s appointment was somehow unconstitutional are completely without merit, nothing more than an effort by Democrats and their media agents to assassinate Whitaker’s character.

Whether anything like it ever comes about is anyone’s guess, but there is no doubt it is on the President’s mind, given that he issued the following tweets this morning:

…and…

$40 million to investigate the “Russia collusion” Democrat fantasy play. Your fake news media loves to claim that Mueller has obtained dozens of indictments and several guilty pleas and convictions of various fringe players, but how many of those are in any way related to his supposed mission? What he has obtained is what every previous special counsel ended up getting: a series of process crimes and prosecutions for activities that are wholly unrelated to what he was supposed to be looking into.

Yes, treason trials would be nice, but Whitaker has been in his new job for more than three weeks now, and so far there is no indication that any such effort is underway at our utterly corrupted Department of Justice. The President will no doubt be naming a permanent replacement for Sessions soon – if Whitaker wishes to be remembered as anything more than a placeholder, it’s time to get cracking.

Ocasio Cortez Watch:

Are you ready for President Beto? – I’m going to lay down this marker right here today: Irish Bob O’Rourke will be the Democrat presidential nominee in 2020, and we had all better take him very, very seriously.

Many readers will scoff at reading this. After all, what is Irish Bob other than a recent loser in a Texas senate race, right? Yeah, well, that’s right, as far as it goes.

But here’s what else Irish Bob is: He’s the perfect, ideal Democrat nominee.

Think about it – the man is an instant replay of Barack Hussein Obama.  He’s young, he’s good-looking, he is articulate, he is extremely skilled at parroting approved Democrat/media talking points, he is completely without any substance whatsoever, and he is a blank slate on which sheepish Democrat voters can project any set of policy positions and pipe dreams that enter into their tiny minds.

Obama, 2.0.

But here’s the main thing that makes Irish Bob the odds-on favorite to come away with the 2020 Democrat nomination: He’s a billionaire. Not only that, he’s a billionaire who can raise money from the mindless cretins in Hollywood and New York like no one else. This is a guy who collected and spent the unheard-of sum of $80 million on a senate race. Yes, he still lost, but he was able to turn what would have been a 10-15 point loss by any other Democrat into a somewhat nail-biting 3-point loss on Election Night. You can say that was just a ‘moral victory,’ but it also was the closest statewide race any Texas Democrat has run in a quarter of a century.

We are going to have 20-30 candidates lined up seeking the Democrat nomination by mid-year next year. They’re all going to have their own personal appeal, their own strategies, their own personal resumes and policy positions, but at the end of the day the winner in that long slog of a race is going to be the person who can raise and deploy the money necessary to mount a campaign in all 50 states.

Kamala Harris is young, good-looking and articulate. So is Cory Booker. So is Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti. So is Kirsten Gillibrand. Joe Biden and the Commie have already proved they can inspire the Democrat masses. Hillary Clinton is probably going to run again. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is also going to run. Fauxcahontas is sending up the “I’m running, too” smoke signals. On and on and on the list of likely 2020 Democrat candidates goes. Thinking people can laugh about them, but thinking people must also recognize they all have their own certain appeal to the party’s voter base.

But only one potential candidate is a billioniare, capable of pouring as much of money as he needs into the nominating process. That one person is Irish Bob O’Rourke.

We can laugh about him now – I laugh about him every day – but we’d also best take him very, very seriously.  Because he’s most likely going to be your Democrat nominee in 2020.

That is all.

The Guardian Beclowns Itself in Mad Rush to Fake the News

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Was that wrong? Is there, like, a rule against that? –  It turns out that there actually is a rule against wedding photographers having sex with an invited wedding guest while the reception is ongoing, and then urinating on a tree when the cops show up to investigate.

That was actually a revelation to one Katie Mehta, 26, who moonlights in the Weatherford, Texas area as a wedding photographer when her swimsuit modeling career isn’t producing enough revenue. When the deputy sheriff providing security for the wedding was alerted by other guests to some illicit sounds coming from an ante room, he found the comely camera clicker engaged in some hanky-panky with one of the guests. His efforts to disentangle the pair were rewarded with a profanity-laced verbal assault. When he escorted the young professional out of the hall, she broke free and promptly rushed over to the nearest tree where she allegedly began to relieve herself in the same manner as your pet labrador does on his morning walk.

By that time the local police had shown up and promptly took her to the pokey.  Shockingly, one of the arresting officers stated that the frisky Ms. Mehta “smelled strongly of alcohol.” Go figure.

Displaying a similar type of anti-social behavior, the newsfakers at The Guardian mounted a strong challenge to CNN and the New York Times for this week’s title of Fakest News Outlet, filing a report, citing anonymous sources of course, claiming that former Trump Campaign Chairman Paul Manafort had visited Wikileaks founder Julian Assange no less than three times in 2013, 2015 and 2016, the last meeting taking place just weeks before the DNC’s hacked emails were made public during the midst of the presidential campaign.

Given that Assange has been holed-up in London’s Ecuadorian embassy in order to avoid prosecution for all of that time, and there are dozens of surveillance cameras on every block in that city, my immediate reaction to this story was that it was a rather pathetic attempt at the sort of news fakery in which CNN and the Times have cornered the market over the past few years.  Obviously, had Paul Manafort actually ever visited Assange at the Ecuadorian embassy, not only would formal official records exist of those visits, but there would be copious amounts of video evidence as well.  I mean, c’mon, Manafort’s a big, distinctive-looking guy – if he had really gone to see Assange in the midst of the 2016 campaign, we’d have had absolute, irrefutable proof of that visit in 2016.

Let’s also remember that Manafort had been under FBI surveillance since 2014 due to his lobbying efforts – in partnership with Tony Podesta – on behalf of the Ukrainian government. Are we to really believe that he would somehow be able to visit the notorious founder of Wikileaks, entering through the front door of the Ecuadorian embassy in London, without the FBI noticing?

Wikileaks responded immediately and somewhat hilariously to the story with a message on its Twitter account: “Remember this day when the Guardian permitted a serial fabricator to totally destroy the paper’s reputation. @WikiLeaks is willing to bet the Guardian a million dollars and its editor’s head that Manafort never met Assange.” As of this writing, neither the Guardian nor its editor’s head have responded.

It took Manafort a little longer to get a response out to the story – he is in federal prison, after all – but when he did, his denial was similarly unambiguous:

“This story is totally false and deliberately libelous. I have never met Julian Assange or anyone connected to him. I have never been contacted by anyone connected to Wikileaks, either directly or indirectly. I have never reached out to Assange or Wikileaks on any matter. We are considering all legal options against the Guardian who proceeded with this story even after being notified by my representatives that it was false.”

It is a sad fact of modern life that news-faking goes on 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in our fake news media, but it has been awhile since any major news outlet file a report as manifestly fake as this one in an obvious effort to try to prop up the Democrats’ dying “Russia Collusion” fantasy play.

For its part, the Guardian has not, as of this writing, retracted its blatantly false and libelous report, although it did go back into it add a bunch of weasel-word language after Wikileaks and Manafort issued their forceful denials. In the end, it seems amazing that any editor worth a damn would have agreed to run the story in the first place.

But hey, when you’re competing with CNN and the New York Times in the news-faking business, you’re playing with the big boys and mistakes are going to be made. For the Guardian, this was a doozy.

The Great Turning of the “Russia Collusion” Tide Continues

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

News you won’t see reported on CNN – Just so you know, your President of the United States of America donated his second quarter salary ($100,000) yesterday to a project that helps rebuild military cemeteries.

Hey, remember all those media-generated rumors that Chief of Staff John Kelly was fed up with the President and going to resign? – Yeah, those were fake.  The White House announced yesterday that President Trump had asked Kelly to commit to staying on through 2020, and that General Kelly has agreed to do so.

This move was intended not only to signal stability in the White House ranks, but to emphasize to the fake news media that the President has no concerns about being caught up in their “Russia Collusion” fantasy or of being impeached by a Democrat congress.  Awesome.

Today’s Required Viewing – Last night, CNN’s fake newsman Anderson Cooper had dimwitted never-Trumper Max Boot on a panel with America’s premier expert on Russia, Prof. Stephen Cohen, to discuss U.S. relations with that country.  The result is five minutes of Cooper and Boot being utterly decimated and made to look like a couple whining children by a vastly superior intellect.  Ever watched your cat toy around with a helpless grasshopper for an hour before finally killing it?  It’s like that.  Just.  Like.  That.

Watch it here.  You’ll be glad you did.

Your Fake News Media in Action! – The fake news media is really running out of scandals to dummy up.  This morning, all the talking heads and fake reporters are attempting to make a big deal out of the President’s claim at his Tampa, Florida rally last night that “you have to show an ID to buy groceries.”  Your fake news media is contending that claim is false, and “THE PRESIDENT’S A LIARRRRRR!!!!!!!!”

Funny, though, I waited for what seemed like an interminable amount of time at the local Albertson’s on Monday as the lady in front of me sllllllooooowly wrote a check for her tab, after which the checker asked her for her driver’s license, which the lady then slooooowwwwwwllllly dug out of her purse.  Which of course is exactly the process that the President was referring to.

So who’s lying?  It’s not hard to figure out.

More news you won’t see on CNN – As you no doubt know by now, since it’s pretty much the only story the fake news media really focused on the last couple of days, the trial of Paul Manafort in Virginia has gotten underway.  While everyone at CNN and the rest of the fake news media continues to claim this is all about their Russia Collusion fantasy play, it is in fact not about Russia or Manafort’s role in the Trump campaign at all.  In fact, is so NOT related to either of those subjects that Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s crack team of Clinton/Obama hacks has actually instructed their witnesses to avoid mentioning the T-word.

Yes, that’s right:  the hacks running the “investigation” that’s supposedly designed to prove the Trump Campaign “colluded” with Russian agents to influence the 2016 election are actively instructing their witnesses to avoid that particular subject entirely.  Which is not really surprising given that the charges of tax evasion and bank fraud in the case are over Manafort’s dealings from a decade ago.  You couldn’t make this stuff up if you tried.

Oh, hey, that’s not supposed to be happening, because Blue Wave or something. – A new pair of senate race polls show that the media’s effort to revive its whole “Blue Wave” narrative is a bit premature.  In Nevada, where Democrats are just absolutely certain they’ll knock off unpopular GOP incumbent Dean Heller, a new Suffolk poll has Heller leading his challenger by 1 point.  In Florida, where Democrats are just sure their slimy incumbent Bill Nelson will easily retain a seat that was not supposed to be up for grabs, a new Mason-Dixon poll has GOP candidate Rick Scott leading by 3 points.

There is no “Blue Wave” building, folks.  It just isn’t there.

The great turning of the “Russia Collusion” tide continues. – Eight days ago, the Campaign Update detailed the belief that the July 21 release of the FISA warrant filings by Tom Fitton at Judicial Watch would come to be remembered as the event that heralded the great turning of the tide in the whole Trump/Russia collusion fantasy the Democrats and their media guardians have been using to divide the nation for two years now.

Since that piece was written, we’ve seen ex-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper tossed his former boss Barack Obama under the bus and we’ve seen Rudy Giuliani casually toss out the fact that prosecutors and the White House are in possession of dozens of recordings of 2016/17 phone calls between ex-Trump lawyer Michael Cohen and reporters/media executives.

Hey, remember Tony Podesta?  You know, the brother of John Podesta, the spirit cooking chairman of the Hillary Clinton campaign?  The high-powered DC lobbyist who mysteriously shut down his practice, fired all his employees and disappeared from public view last November when his former business dealings with Paul Manafort started making the news?

Yeah, that Tony Podesta.  Now comes this little bit of news, quietly rolled out by the hacks at NBC on their low-traffic website:  It turns out that Mr. Podesta, along with former lobbying partners Vin Weber and former Obama White House Counsel Greg Craig have for months now been under investigation by U.S. attorneys working out of the Southern District of New York.

Oh.

The rumor that this investigation had been initiated was first reported way back in November, but then quickly quashed by a fake news media desperate to focus solely on reports negative to President Trump.  But now that the tide is clearly turning in the whole “Russia Collusion” fantasy play, NBC suddenly felt the urge to “update” its previous reporting on this little matter.

The real fun is going to come after DOJ IG Michael Horowitz issues his upcoming FISA abuse report, and all the fake news hacks at NBC and the rest of the #fakenews universe start figuring out what U.S. Attorney John Huber and his 400+ staff of attorneys and investigators have been up to out in Salt Lake City since last summer.  That’ll all start taking place in late August/early September, just when the mid-term election campaigns all get started in earnest.

The only “wave” building in this country is the turning tide in the Russia Collusion fantasy play.

Just another day in the bad guys are losing America.

That is all.

All Deep State Cabal Roads Eventually Lead to Peter Strzok

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

It was a dirty job, but somebody had to do it. – Texas Congressman and former state Appeals Court Justice Louie Gohmert published a devastating criticism of ex-FBI Director Robert Mueller on Tuesday.  Those of you who still believe that the Witch Hunter in Chief is some sort of sterling individual with an unassailable background of defending truth, justice and the American Way should take half an hour out of your day today and read it.  It will disabuse you forever of those silly notions.

I was already aware of most of the despicable corruption in Mueller’s background, but one item I had not been aware of until reading Gohmert’s piece was the “5 Years Up or Out Policy” he implemented while FBI Director.  This policy required that, “after an FBI employee was in any type of supervisory position for five years, he or she had to either come to Washington to sit at a desk or get out of the FBI.”

This idiotic policy mirrors policies used in the private sector by giant corporations as a means of passively-aggressively keeping their workforce younger and less expensive by encouraging older, more expensive employees to resign or take demotions in place rather than being forced to change job locations.  In practice, corporations see the money saved by forcing younger workers into mid-level management positions before they’re really qualified outweighing the loss of institutional knowledge.

But at the nation’s premier law enforcement agency, this massive loss of experience and institutional knowledge and – perhaps most importantly – historic case knowledge was devastating.  For Mueller, Gohmert speculates that the most satisfying aspect of the policy was that it robbed the agency of more experienced agents who are naturally going to be more likely to question the judgement and authority of senior FBI management.

It also resulted in juvenile delinquents like Super-Duper Agent Peter Strzok and Attorney Lisa Page being thrust into positions that were well above their competence or maturity levels.  This juvenilization of the FBI made it much easier for Barack Obama and Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch and James Comey to come in and utterly corrupt what had become an organization filled with yes-men-and-women.

Again, regardless of your opinion of Mueller, go read the piece.  You’ll be smarter for having done so.

Cause, meet Effect. – Speaking of Super Duper Agent Peter Strzok, here’s a great practical example of how Mueller’s efforts to juvenilize the agency, having thrust this emotional midget (as clearly demonstrated by his 50,000 texts with his mistress) into a senior position in the FBI’s counterintelligence division, rendered the Agency more vulnerable to corruption.

We’ve long known that Strzok was one of the agents who interviewed General Mike Flynn in an effort to entrap him into lying to the FBI; we’ve long known that Strzok was smack-dab in the middle of the sham investigation into Princess Pantsuit’s illegal email server; we’ve long known that he played a role in misleading the FISA court into issuing a warrant to spy on the Trump Campaign; in fact, at pretty much every turn in the scheme to fix the 2016 election and then to force Donald Trump from office, Strzok’s name just keeps turning up.  Yesterday, it got even worse.

In a terrific piece at RealClearInvestigations, Paul Sperry reveals that Super-Duper Agent Strzok was also involved in constructing the daily intelligence briefings for then-President Barack Obama.  But it’s not just that he was involved, but that he was in fact hand-selected by then-CIA Director John Brennan to serve as the intermediary for information flow between Brennan and ex-FBI Director and current Teenage Drama Queen James Comey:

A source close to the House investigation said Brennan himself selected the CIA and FBI analysts who worked on the ICA, and that they included former FBI counterespionage chief Peter Strzok.

“Strzok was the intermediary between Brennan and [former FBI Director James] Comey, and he was one of the authors of the ICA,” according to the source. [emphasis added]

So, what’s the big deal?  The big deal is that Brennan was obviously using the extremely compliant and malleable Strzok to control the information Comey received, and what ultimately got to the President of the United States of America.  Comey’s been running around the country claiming “I don’t know” about all sorts of things that took place under his watch during this period of time, and in many instances those denials are no doubt true because Brennan, through Strzok, made sure he didn’t know.

Brennan’s use of Strzok in this role also potentially resolves this burning question:  Why were Page and ex-FBI General Counsel James Baker jettisoned from their demoted positions a few weeks ago while Strzok has been kept in place?  All three have obviously been serving as cooperating witnesses with the ongoing investigations by DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz and Salt Lake City U.S. Attorney John Huber since last fall – so why were Page and Baker released from their in-house purgatory while Super-Duper Agent Strzok remains sheltered in place?

The answer now seems obvious:  Only Strzok has direct knowledge of the entire information flow on all the DOJ/FBI shenanigans during and following the 2016 campaign, all the way up to the office of the presidency.  So he’s not quite done yet.

The great irony in all of this is that Mueller, the guy whose idiotic policies literally created Super-Duper Agent Peter Strzok, is now running the sham investigation designed to deflect the media’s and public’s attention away from the monster that he himself created.  If you were still wondering why Rod Rosenstein specifically chose Mueller to be his Special Counsel, well, now you know.  Mueller not only knows where all the bodies are buried, he literally created them.

Just another day in all roads lead to Peter Strzok America.

That is all.

Mueller’s Big Problem: He Keeps Drawing Judges Who Have Read the Constitution

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this Winning yet? – There has been much cause for optimism lately as Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his evil band of Clinton/Obama hacks have repeatedly run into trouble when their cases must finally be heard in federal court.

Mueller’s people most famously had to endure a lecture from Federal Judge T.S. Ellis on May 4 when the judge lambasted them for basically lying to the court in an effort to claim their case against former Trump Campaign Manager Paul Manafort has anything to do with the Special Counsel’s charge to investigate the Democrat/Media-constructed Russia Collusion fantasy.  Their day before Judge Ellis became even worse when he demanded that they produce the memos from Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein that laid out the scope of their investigation, and do so by this coming Friday.  The oily Mr. Rosenstein has fought tooth and nail to keep those memos confidential, on the specious grounds that they contain “classified” information.  Oops.

The Mueller team had another major stumble in court the very next day, when Federal Judge Dabney Friedrich denied their motion for a delay in their absurd case against the Russian firm Concord Management.  Concord is one of the 13 Russian entities that Mueller and his evil minions indicted back in February in a transparently dishonest effort to show their investigation has at least some tenuous connection to the whole Russia Collusion fantasy play.

To make matters even more Keystone Cop-ish, one of the Concord-related companies indicted by Mueller’s band of aspiring circus clowns, Concord Catering, did not even exist at the time the Mueller team claims it was engaged in social media shenanigans.  Oops.

The catch in issuing those indictments, of course, was that the Mueller minions never expected to have to prosecute any of their specious charges, because they assumed none of the accused would actually show up in a U.S. court voluntarily.  But Concord showed up, demanded the Court enforce their constitutional right to a speedy trial, and Judge Friedrich ordered the case to move forward.  Oops.

Mueller’s case against former Trump National Security Advisor General Mike Flynn is also hanging on by a thread at this point.  It has become increasingly obvious over the six months since Flynn entered his guilty plea to lying to the FBI that Mueller’s evil minions withheld exculpatory evidence that would likely clear Flynn of the charge.  The tide in this case began to turn when it was taken over by Federal Judge Emmet Sullivan, who is well-known for his disdain for prosecutors who mislead the court.  Oops.

The developments in all three of these cases clearly demonstrate the utterly dishonest nature of the Mueller “investigation.”  Mueller’s operation is not an “investigation” at all:  It is in fact the witch hunt that President Trump has repeatedly alleged it to be.  Yesterday marked the one-year anniversary of Mueller’s baseless appointment by Rosenstein, and in all that time Mueller and his ever-expanding team of witch-hunters have uncovered exactly zero evidence that anyone in the Trump Campaign or transition team colluded with any Russian to influence the 2016 election outcome.

The series of court setbacks are all very encouraging for those non-Democrats and non-fake journalists who have realized all along what a sham the entire Mueller enterprise has been.  But we all need to take a little breath here and realize that all of these encouraging developments have come about largely due to the luck of the draw.  The fact is that to this point, Mueller has suffered some very bad luck in terms of the judges who have been assigned to his cases.

Although a Clinton appointee to the federal bench, Judge Sullivan has long been well-known as a judge who forces both sides to adhere firmly to the rules of evidence and repect for the process.  The case against General Flynn appeared to be a done deal under the original judge assigned to the case, Rudolph Contreras, an Obama appointee to the federal bench.  Contreras was forced to recuse himself from the case in early December when it was publicly revealed that his is a FISA judge who likely signed off on one of the FISA warrants that gave the FBI authority to spy on the Trump Campaign in 2016.  Contreras had no problem allowing Mueller to just do as he pleased.

Judge Ellis is a Reagan appointee.  Judge Friedrich is a Trump appointee.  Both judges have, inconveniently for Mueller and his evil minions, actually read the Constitution and hold a healthy respect for it.  Had Mueller drawn Obama appointees in the Concord or Manafort cases, he’d likely not be having any problems in either case.

It’s key to note that judges are assigned to these cases on a random draw basis.  Thus, to this point, Mueller has been extremely unlucky, given that there are more Clinton and Obama appointees populating the Virginia and Washington, DC federal bench – where Mueller’s grand juries are convened – than there are Reagan, Bush and Trump appointees.

We can’t count on that luck to continue.  At some point Mueller will draw an Obama judge, and any notion of due process and constitutional protections for the defense will fly right out the window.  Just something to think about as this mess keeps moving ahead.

Just another day in let’s hope Mueller’s bad luck continues America.

That is all.

The Hillary Clinton Excuse Generator Doll Humiliates Itself in India

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

[Ok, it was actually Hillary Clinton who humiliated her own self in India, but seriously, someone needs to manufacture a Hillary Clinton Bobblehead Excuse Generator Doll.  Just pull the string and it spits out one of 100 excuses for losing the election.  You’d sell a billion of them, promise.]

The Pantsuit Princess was in the news on Monday for rolling out yet more excuses for why she lost the presidential election in 2016.  If you thought she had already blamed everyone else in the United States of America for her failure except for herself, boy, were you wrong.

Speaking to an audience in India, of all places, where the great majority of the population is poor, uneducated and unproductive, the Coughing Crook blamed her loss on people who are poor, uneducated and unproductive.  Oh, and they were all racists, too.  No kidding:

“There’s all that red in the middle, where Trump won. Now, I win the coasts, I win Illinois, Minnesota, places like that. But what the map doesn’t show you is that I won the places that represent two-thirds of America’s gross domestic product. So I won the places that are optimistic, diverse, dynamic, moving forward, and his whole campaign, Make America Great Again, was looking backwards. ‘You don’t like black people getting rights, you don’t like women getting jobs, you don’t want to see that Indian-American succeeding more than you are, whatever your problem is, I’m going to solve it.'”

Oh, but it gets better.  The 100% self-absorbed, 0% self-aware Fainting Felon, who has spent much of her adult life claiming to be a champion of women’s rights, went on to claim that any woman who voted for Donald Trump did so only because their husband or their boss told them to do so.

Then, as if to prove beyond all remaining doubt (could there really be any at this point?) that she was indeed the very worst candidate for any elective office in American history, the Grasping Grifter proceeded to stumble down the steps leading out of the venue, despite being held up by two men.  We can expect her to blame the incident on the two men, who no doubt told her to stumble, a demand that she, as a mere woman, had no ability to resist.

Never stop talking, Hillary.  Please, never stop.

The House Intelligence Committee announced Monday evening that it has concluded its year-long investigation into allegations that the Trump Campaign “colluded” with Russia to influence the 2016 elections, and found zero evidence to support the claims.  Combined, the three major network newscasts devoted less than 1 minute of coverage to that bit of news.  If this surprises you, you probably get your news from the evening network newscasts.

San Fran Nan stammered through a condemnation of the Committee’s move, slamming Speaker Paul Ryan for not keeping the investigation going into perpetuity.  Because, of course, the Democrats’ goal whenever there is a Republican in the White House is to always have myriad fake investigations into fake scandals going simultaneously.  This is especially true when GOP policies are producing things like jobs and economic prosperity.  It’s the Democrat playbook, right there on page 359.

The Democrat playbook also demands that they and their myriad fake journalist press agents continue to demonize Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (Low-IQ Maxine Waters carried out that task on MSNBC Monday night), and that bug-eyed Adam Schiff produce a minority report filled with classified information, which the administration will have to heavily redact, giving the Democrats and the fake news media the excuse to scream “coverup!”  Yes, it’s tiresome, yes, it’s incredibly dishonest, but what do you expect Democrats to do, focus on policy?

Hah!  That’ll be the day.  Focusing on policy got deleted from the Democrat playbook way back in 1992, when Bill and Hillary got elected to their co-presidency.  It will never return, trust me.

Speaking of fake news outlets, economic prosperity and jobs, the fakest #fakenews outlet of them all, CNN, just keeps getting faker as time goes along.  For years, CNN had kept an updated online “jobs tracker”, which provided monthly updates about the number of jobs added or lost by the U.S. economy during the George W. Bush and Barack Hussein Obama administrations.

But updating the tracker has amounted to just too much good news for President Donald Trump over the last year, as the Trump economy has kept adding new jobs at an accelerating pace.  So, the fake journalists at CNN just couldn’t take it anymore, and decided at the first of the year to stop updating the tracker.  That is sad, pathetic and hilarious all rolled up into a tight little fake news ball.

Just another day in the Democrat playbook America.

That is all.

Mueller’s Attempted Coup d’etat Has Begun to Unravel

  • Bloomberg, just off the heels from having to retract a piece of fake news earlier in the week, has the fake news piece of the day up again this morning.  This one, titled “Mueller’s Investigation Just Got Some Insurance”, speculates that golly, that evil ol’ Donald Trump can’t fire Mueller now because, well, Mike Flynn plead guilty to lying,” or something.  Of all the fake “it sure will be hard for Donald Trump to fire Mueller now” pieces that have infested the fake news media since last March, this one may be the topper.
  • Let’s recap:  Eight months into Mueller’s sham investigation, President Donald Trump (I still never tire of typing those three words) has never given the slightest indication that he has any intention at all of firing Robert Mueller.  Oh, plenty of people think he should – I advocated that he do so back in April, as it became obvious Mueller was stacking his staff with a bunch of Clinton/Obama hacks – but neither the President himself nor anyone on his senior staff has ever uttered a word that would indicate there has been any serious consideration in the White House of firing the Special Witch Hunter, er, Counsel.
  • Never let reality get in the way of a good story. – Yet, the fake journalists at the fake media outlets keep churning out pieces like the one at Bloomberg today.  We’ve seen them from the WaPo, the NYTimes, CNN, Reuters, the Associated Press, and on and on and on.  Presumably, today was just Bloomberg’s turn in some pre-determined fake media outlet rotation.
  • Frankly, I think what we have here is a serious case of projection on the part of these fake journalists.  They all know, deep in their subconscious, that the Mueller witch hunt is illegitimate.  They’ve known from the beginning that the whole “Russia Collusion” was a fantasy, at least as it applies to the Trump people, and that Rod Rosenstein had no real justification for appointing a special counsel in the first place, unless it was to investigate the actions of the Clinton campaign.  So they keep churning out these pieces speculating that Trump is planning to dump Mueller, because, in their heart, they know Mueller – and Rosenstein – should be fired.  They both desperately need firing, just as some evil people and criminals just need killing.  Therefore, the President must be thinking about doing so, right?
  • Look at what else we have found out over the past month:  1) that the whole fake “Trump Dossier” that was compiled through collusion with agents of the Russian government was bought and paid for by the Clinton Campaign and the Democrat National Committee; 2) that it is very likely that that fake “Dossier” was used by Agent Strzok during the campaign as justification to obtain a FISA warrant to spy on the Trump campaign and, after the election, the Trump transition team; 3) that senior Obama officials illegally “unmasked” members of the Trump camp hundreds of times as they were spied upon; 4) that Agent Strzok and former bi-polar FBI Director James “Leakey” Comey conspired to exonerate Hillary Clinton from any wrongdoing in her email scandal months before Ms. Clinton and other witnesses had even been interviewed in the investigation; and 5) that the DOJ Inspector General’s office has for months been conducting a broad-ranging investigation into all of this, and will be issuing its findings early next year.
  • If you doubt that that IG investigation is serious, read the following passage from Thursday’s testimony by FBI Director Christopher Wray:  “I think of the Inspector General’s investigation as de novo in one sense, in which that it’s objective, arms length, no skin in the game, if you will. But you’re right, the Inspector General is not second guessing prosecutorial decisions and things like that. However, the Inspector General is looking at the very important question of whether or not improper political considerations factored into the decision making. If he were to conclude that’s what happened, then I think at that point were we’re in a situation were we have to assess what else might need to be done to unring that bell.”  [emphasis added]
  • That answer was provided in response to a question about what the FBI is doing to investigate all the obvious shenanigans that Comey and Strzok were pulling with their sham investigation into the Clinton email scandal.  When the Director of the FBI speculates in an open hearing that he might have to “unring that bell”, i.e., re-investigate the obviously false conclusion that the Pantsuit Princess did nothing wrong, it means he thinks there is a high likelihood that he will indeed be going down that road in the near future.
  • The bottom line here is this:  The Mueller “investigation” has been irrevocably revealed to be nothing more than a political hit job, a slow-rolling coup’ d’etat designed to un-do the results of a duly-conducted national election in the United States of America.  It is not just an assault on the Trump Administration, it is an assault on our entire democracy, sponsored by the Clinton camp, holdovers from the Obama Administration and the embeded “deep state” bureaucracies.  The fake journalists in the fake news media understand all this, if only subconsciously, and so they keep churning out these “Trump Can’t Fire Mueller Now!” pieces because they know that Mueller and his little toady Rosenstein, need firing.
  • Meanwhile, as the fake news media obsesses over the Russia Collusion fantasy play, President Trump sits in the Oval Office, systematically reversing the entirety of Barack Obama’s anti-American legacy, almost unnoticed and barely opposed.  He sees no reason at all to fire Robert Mueller or Rod Rosenstein, because, hey, you should never interrupt your opposition when they are in the process of self-destructing.

Just another day in Mueller’s unraveling coup d’etat America.

That is all.

Mueller’s Gestapo Tactics Only Reinforce The Reasons Why Trump Won in 2016

  • This stuff is why Trump is President. – If nothing else good comes of it, Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation is serving as a stark reminder to all Trump voters of why they voted for him.  The President himself reminded the nation on Monday morning that, while General Mike Flynn has been indicted for making false statements to investigators, Hillary Clinton was awarded a free pass by former FBI Director James Comey in July 2016, after she had made a raft of false statements during her FBI interview.  This morning, the Daily Caller reminds us that Clinton’s two senior aides, Huma Abedin and Cheryl Mills also gave heinously misleading testimony to FBI investigators, again with no consequences.
  • Of all the myriad reasons why Trump voters decided in 2016 that the DC Swamp needed draining and Trump was just the guy to do it, this kind of selective application of the law was probably reason #1.  Robert Mueller and James Comey obviously believe that America has a bifurcated legal system – one system for the hundreds of millions of ordinary American citizen rabble out here in flyover country, and another for members in good standing of the Ruling Class, like Hillary, Huma and Cheryl.  This makes perfect sense to Mueller and Comey, since they are the de facto henchmen for that Ruling Class.
  • Those of you who are wondering why it is that the voters in Alabama appear to be set on sending Roy Moore to the U.S. Senate in spite of all the women accusers arrayed against him, it’s mainly because they know that his opponent, Democrat Doug Jones, would go to Washington and become just another reliable lapdog for the Swamp rulers.  These voters know that, whatever Moore may have done back during the Carter and Reagan Administrations, he plans to go to DC to help Trump clean the damn place out.  There’s really no more to it than that.
  • Speaking of Mueller’s absurd Special Counsel “investigation”, it appears now he has completely abandoned any effort at all to investigate the Democrat/fake news media invented fantasy of the Trump camp “colluding” with Russia to influence the election.  Writing in the National Review, Andrew McCarthy, himself  a former federal prosecutor, believes that the Flynn plea deal means that Mueller’s grand strategy now is to build an obstruction of justice case against the President.
  • Given that the President really can’t be prosecuted for obstructing justice, since, as Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz pointed out on Fox News on Monday, he is the chief law enforcement officer of the United States, Mueller’s new focus means he is not working to actually bring charges against President Trump.  Rather, he is working to build a case for impeachment by congress.
  • If that’s really the strategy from the Special Counsel’s office, it simply points up how critical the 2018 mid-term congressional elections really are.  If American voters award control of either house of congress to the Democrats, then our country will literally become paralyzed for two solid years as the hyper-partisan Dems do literally nothing but try to impeach a sitting President for “crimes” that simply do not exist.
  • Another big leftist hope making the rounds of the internet currently is that Mueller may be trying to build a case against Trump for violating the Logan Act, for asking Flynn to make contact with Russia while he was still President-elect.  Here is the relevant text of the 1799 Logan Act:
  • “Any citizen of the United States, wherever he may be, who, without authority of the United States, directly or indirectly commences or carries on any correspondence or intercourse with any foreign government or any officer or agent thereof, with intent to influence the measures or conduct of any foreign government or of any officer or agent thereof, in relation to any disputes or controversies with the United States, or to defeat the measures of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
  • Now, here’s why the Logan Act, in its 218 year life, has never, not one time, resulted in a prosecution of anyone:  If you take that text literally, John McCain alone would have been found guilty of violating the Logan Act half a dozen times since Trump took office, and probably 50 times during the presidency of George W. Bush, as McCain has made a frequent habit of making speeches in foreign lands that are highly critical of U.S. foreign policy, but only during Republican Administrations.  Liberal hero Ted Kennedy wrote letters to Soviet Union leaders, actively seeking their intervention in the 1984 elections against Ronald Reagan.  On and on and on this list could go.
  • If Mueller really is working on a Logan Act case, then everyone on the White House should be breaking out the champagne and celebrating, because that cat won’t flush.
  • The bottom line here is that the whole “Russia Collusion” fantasy play is officially dead.  By mounting his incredibly biased, highly-selective “investigation” in such a public way, Robert Mueller is only reinforcing support for President Trump among those who voted for him in 2016.  Mueller has now replaced Mitch McConnell as the official poster child for the movement out here in flyover country to clean out the DC Swamp.  If the President fired him tomorrow, there is not a single Trump supporter at this point who would bat an eye about it, because they know who the bad guy in this fantasy play really is.

Just another day in Ding, Dong, Russia Collusion Is Dead America.

That is all.

Trump Is President, Hillary Isn’t. Be Thankful For That.

Today’s Campaign Update

  • Given that it’s the day before Thanksgiving and The Campaign Update will be taking tomorrow off, it seems like a good time to list some of the many things I’m thankful for in the world of politics and public policy.
  • The first one is easy:  I’m thankful that Hillary Clinton isn’t the president.  It’s bad enough that she remains in the public eye, still doing everything she can to destroy our nation’s democracy, still cloying and grasping in a desperate effort to remain politically viable, but she isn’t president, and the nation is safe from that prospect for at least another 3 years.
  • Second, I’m thankful Donald J. Trump is the President.  Thankful for the roaring economy his roll-backs of Obama regulations have created.  Thankful for the record-high closes in the stock markets on almost a daily basis.  Thankful for his refusal to bend to the will of the fake news media or buy into the dictates of political correctness.  Thankful for how crazy he drives liberals each and every day.  Thankful for his refusal to bow to the leaders of other countries.  Thankful for the sense of class and style he and First Lady Melania Trump have returned to the White House.  Thankful to have a President who is simply willing to celebrate Christmas again.  Thankful that he Never.  Stops.  Tweeting.
  • Third, I’m thankful to the leaders of the Democrat Party, such as they are, and their utter failure to learn a single damn lesson from their humiliations in the 2016 elections.  Rather than take those humiliations as an opportunity to moderate their policies and clean the corruption from their ranks, the Democrats have instead doubled down on the leftist radicalism that has taken them from the clear national majority they enjoyed as recently as 2010 to a shrinking, minority regional party centered in large cities along the East and West coasts.  Their party leadership remains a motley collection of corrupt fools, their anti-Trump and anti-middle American rhetoric grows more shrill with each passing day.  Cool.
  • Fourth, I’m thankful for the fake reporters, fake editors, and fake talking heads who infest the fake national news media.  Like the Democrat Party they all loyally serve, they have learned nothing from their own rejection in 2016, their double standards, biases and outright fabrications so blatantly obvious that no thinking person believes anything they have to say. Which is good for America, since there is no national mainstream media outlet that can be trusted anymore.
  • Fifth, I’m thankful to James Comey and Hillary Clinton for their invention of the whole “Russia Collusion” fantasy play.  No, really, I am, despite the abuses of power that are obvious in the Robert Mueller investigation.  But that special counsel investigation is, intentionally or not, leading inexorably to the final downfall of not President Trump, but of Bill and Hillary Clinton.  Without that special counsel, we would not now know that it was the Clinton Campaign and the DNC that funded the fake Trump Dossier.  Without that special counsel, we would still be in the dark about the role James Comey’s FBI played in all of that as well.  Without that special counsel, the whole Uranium One scandal would still be a secret buried in the bowels of hidden Justice Department records.  Yeah, I’m thankful for Russia Collusion, because that fantasy has led to the revelation of so much reality, with much, much more to come.
  • Finally, I’m thankful for all the women and former child actors who have been brave enough to come out in recent weeks and out so many monsters in Hollywood, the fake news media, and now in politics.  Intentionally or not, they are  showing America that the country’s leftwing institutions have long been cesspits of sexual depravity and abuse.  This is a reckoning that has been a long time coming, and is likely just getting started.
  • I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.  The Campaign Update will return on Friday.

Just another day in so much to be thankful for America.

That is all.

Nobody Nails Democrat Sleaze Like Donald Trump

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

  • Thursday’s under-the-bus tossing of Hillary Clinton by long-time Clinton sycophant and Democrat political hack Donna Brazile is just the latest sign that the Democrat Party has finally had enough of the Clintons.  After a quarter century of defending and deflecting and prevaricating about Clintonian corruption, it is suddenly becoming ok, almost trendy, to say negative things about the woman who has brought nothing but shame and destruction to what was once a clear majority national party, but is now a dying, minority, regional, amateurish political operation.
  • Ms. Brazile’s admission that the Clinton Campaign conspired with Debbie Wasserman-Schulz and other DNC leaders to rig the party’s primary contests against Bernie Sanders is also a clear indicator that there is much more Clinton/DNC-related sleaze about to ooze out into the public domain, especially when one considers that Ms. Brazile herself played a significant role in that rigging process.  With her “tell-all” book, Brazile is just getting a jump on the oozing.
  • This is a first.  The Clintons have always slunk through scandals in the past by convincing everyone around them that they’ll all be okay so long as they just deny everything and accuse the opposition of the same unethical behavior.  It’s the Saul Alinsky strategy of “deny, deflect and project.”  Hey, it’s always worked, given that their agents in the fake news media would always circle the wagons around them and refuse to investigate or report on any wrongdoing in any real way.   But now the code of silence has been broken, and with scandals whirling all around her, The Most Corrupt Woman In America has to be wondering which of her sleazy hacks will become the Family’s next Fredo.
  • Finally, Ms. Brazile’s admissions tell us that, once again, Donald Trump was right.  He spent all of 2016 telling us that the Democrat primaries were rigged against the Commie, Bernie Sanders, to which all the fake journalists and Democrat hacks like Brazile called him a liar.  How many times do we have to see this process play out, in which Trump makes an assertion, the Democrats and their fake media agents respond by calling him a liar, and then we find out Trump was absolutely right before we all realize that if Trump accuses the Democrats of some bad behavior, it’s a very safe bet he’s telling the truth?
  • The clearest current example of this is the “investigation” by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, which was supposedly about allegations that the Trump campaign somehow “colluded” with Russia to influence the 2016 election, but which has very predictably boiled down to the issuance of indictments of several functionaries on various process violations.  Failure to disclose certain political activities; tax evasion; money laundering; lying to investigators about what day a meeting took place – process violations like this, essentially unrelated to the original allegation, is what Special Counsel investigations always end up hanging their hat on.
  • From the beginning in 2016, President Trump has unwaveringly told us that the allegations that his campaign colluded with the Russians are a fantasy, an excuse for losing made up out of whole cloth by the Clintons and their media supporters.  To this point, a full year after this fantasy play began, there has still not been even a smidgen of evidence revealed that indicates any wrongdoing in this regard by anyone related to the Trump campaign, even by those who were indicted on Monday.
  • On the other hand, what we have found out is that the Clinton Campaign and the DNC clearly did collude with the Russians during the campaign, shelling out millions of dollars to fund the phony “Trump Dossier” that was compiled largely with lies provided by agents of the Russian government.  If Trump is right as he usually is, we will also no doubt soon discover that James Comey’s FBI used this fake Dossier as its basis for seeking a FISA warrant that allowed it to put members of the Trump campaign under surveillance while the election was going on.
  • It is key to remember that that surveillance then led to the hundreds of probably-illegal umasking requests by various high Obama officials in that Administration’s final months.  Thus, if things go true to form, the truth is going to ultimately be revealed that it wasn’t just the Clintons colluding with the Russians, it was the Obama Administration as well.
  • There is absolutely no reason to think that things will not go true to form here.  Every time he has alleged Democrat-related sleaze in the past, it has always eventually been revealed that Donald Trump was 100% correct.  If you’re still sitting there thinking that this case will turn out to be any different, well, you should probably think again.

Just another day in Trump always turns out to be right America.

That is all.

The Great Unwinding Of The Russia Collusion Fantasy Has Begun

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

  • Well, now we know, without any lingering doubts at all, why the Democrat Party and their facilitators in the national news media responded so viciously and, frankly, insanely to last November’s election results.  I mean, we basically knew that The Most Corrupt Woman in America was engaging in all sorts of shady stuff during the campaign – that’s just her nature.  She’s utterly corrupt, pathologically dishonest, and felt completely entitled to become the 45th president of the United States after being jilted at the altar by Democrat voters in 2008.  She totally would rather lie and cheat than win an election the old-fashioned way, which totally explains why she’d spend millions of dollars having a fake dossier made up on her opponent than bend so low as to actually go to Podunksville, Wisconsin to campaign.
  • So we knew in our hearts – and I speculated last year – that she probably paid for the Trump Dossier, but we just didn’t know it for sure.  Now we do.  Question answered.
  • And we knew that there had been all sorts of lawlessness going on during the Obama Administration – the IRS scandal, the utter corruption in the Justice Department and the FBI, Hillary Clinton’s using her position at the State Department to massively enrich herself by selling influence, the sham investigation by James Comey related to the Clinton email server, the shipping of $1.6 billion in U.S. and foreign currency to the terrorist supporting regime in Iran, all the patently unconstitutional executive orders related to immigration and Obamacare, and on and on and on.
  • We knew it was all going on, but had no law enforcement officials willing to investigate and prosecute any of it, and no honest reporting on any of it from the fake news media who all thought Obama was the second coming of John F. Kennedy, so we weren’t sure of all the details.  Now we know many of the details, with much, much more to come.
  • Speaking of more details, Obama’s Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, let another key detail slip on CNN yesterday morning as he was being fake interviewed by the hopelessly vapid fake news host Alisyn Camerota.  Mr. Clapper, in the middle of one of his confused, rambling answers, told Ms. Camerota the stunning news that the Obama Administration had opened a “counterintelligence investigation” into the Trump campaign before James Comey got ahold of the fake Trump Dossier that had been financed by the DNC and the Clinton campaign.  Ms. Camerota is so hopelessly dimwitted that she just let that amazing tidbit of information pass without asking a followup question.
  • A real, actual journalist would have heard that answer and said, “wait, what?  Did you just tell our audience that a sitting president of the United States of America was investigating the likely nominee of the opposition party before his FBI got hold of that dossier?  When was that investigation opened?  Why was it opened?  On what factual information did the FBI think it needed to investigate one of President Obama’s political opponents?”  Yeah, none of those questions were asked, and the moment was lost.  Now, Mr. Clapper will lay low for awhile and make up a better story for future interviews.
  • But this is just one more detail that we didn’t know before, a detail that helps us understand why the Democrats and their supporters in the fake news media reacted so insanely after Donald Trump won the election.  All these people knew about all the criminal behavior that Democrats had engaged in during the Obama years, and all these people assumed they were safe, because Hillary Clinton was going to win the election.
  • That’s why you saw so many ashen faces, even open weeping, among the fake news people on CNN, MSNBC and the major networks as the results started coming in from Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania on Election Night.  It’s why Hillary Clinton was incapable of coming out to speak to her loyal supporters once the results were known, and had to send her evil toady John Podesta down to shoo them away instead.
  • Moreover, it’s also exactly why you saw the Democrats and fake news media start coordinating on the whole Trump/Russia collusion fantasy play immediately after the election – it’s a classic Projection strategy.  The Clintons have always used the Projection strategy anytime they’ve been caught in any wrongdoing.
  • In such situations, the Clintons have always, without exception, resorted to muddying the waters by accusing their opposition of engaging in the very same wrongdoing in which they’ve been involved.  The fact that they’ve always been able to rely on 95% of the nation’s news media to simply parrot their talking points 24 hours a day is how they have survived for this long.
  • They all knew they were all safe as long as Hillary won, and they also knew that no one was safe now that Donald Trump had won.  For the last 11 and a half months, our entire nation has been tied up in a massive Democrat/fake media projection project, and it’s all slowly, finally unwinding.
  • Thank you, President Trump, for that.

Just another day in Russia collusion fantasy America.

That is all.
