Be Prepared for Democrat-Sponsored Street Violence on Election Night

A new USA Today poll finds that 75% of the American people are concerned about post-election street violence. – Golly, and just who would be perpetrating said violence? Wouldn’t that be the leftwing radicals in Antifa and BLM, 100% of whom are Biden supporters?

Yes, yes it would be exactly those people.

Wal-Mart reports record sales of ammunition this week as ordinary Americans prepare to protect their homes and families. Those are the Trump supporters, by the way.

This really is not complicated, folks. It’s not hard.

Business owners in the central districts of Washington, DC, New York City, Chicago, Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis and pretty much every other violent, Democrat-run city in America are boarding up their windows and taking other measure to protect their property as if a Category 3 hurricane were bearing down on them. Because guess what? That is essentially what is about to happen to them. The scenes of rioting and looting out of Philadelphia this week were just previews of coming attractions.

One spokesman for Antifa in DC promised yesterday to be out on the streets causing havoc regardless of which way the election appears to be going. Why? Because there is nothing organic about any of this: This is just a Democrat Party-sanctioned form of recreation to these scumbags at this point. They have no fear of arrest, thanks to police departments who have uniformly been hamstrung by Democrat mayors, and even if a few of them do get taken to jail they know they will be shortly released with no bail required and they won’t have to worry about being prosecuted by corrupt, Soros-financed local Democrat district attorneys.

Make no mistake about it, this is all a part of a carefully constructed and choreographed Democrat Party plan that was put in place early this year. If the presidential race is not called, the Democrat plan is to ensure that street violence rages in the cities they control in order to give their willing accomplices in the corrupt news media a distraction, an excuse to refuse to report on all the vote stealing their Democrat overlords hope to deploy to steal the presidency. For the Democrats, riots and looting, burning and cop-shootings are just “arrows in the quiver”, as Pelosi would say.

This plan has been transparently obvious for months now. If you’ve paid attention to what they’ve said in public, you know that Democrat leaders like Nancy Pelosi have been quite clear about it all, excusing the violence and dog-whistling their sanction for it at every opportunity.

In Philly on Wednesday, police captured a large van filled with firearms, ammunition, explosives and other riot paraphernalia. Who do you think pays for all of that? The local street thugs looting the local Wal-Mart? Or might it be whoever funds the out-of-state, paid agitators who are brought in on caravans of huge, unmarked buses in the dead of night?

Again, this is not hard or complicated.

If you live in a Democrat Party-controlled city like those mentioned above, this is what you can expect to see happening in your town beginning around dark-thirty on Election Night. I’ve been warning about this for at least six months: This is coming, it will make what happened after the 2016 election look like elementary school recess, and it is all just a choreographed part of the Democrat Party’s efforts to seize control of the national government by any means necessary.

Regardless of where you live, if you think that just because it all begins in the central districts of those big, Democrat-run cities that it won’t eventually impact you, you would do well to re-think that assumption. You’re a target, too, and if these people win, they will be coming to see you and your family soon enough.

So maybe, just maybe,  a trip to Wal-Mart this weekend might not be a bad idea.

Be safe.

That is all.

Joe Biden’s Dark, Frightening Fake Convention Comes to a Merciful Close

Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, we are free at last! – The four-day hate festival otherwise known as the communist Democrat National Convention is finally over, and Americans are now free from the bondage of fright rhetoric, threats of continuing violence should President Trump be re-elected, and speeches from well-known pedophiles and woman abusers.

It’s safe to let the wife and kids watch TV again.

Creepy Uncle Quid Pro Handsy Farty China Joe Biden officially accepted his assignment as the temporary face of the communist Democrats last night, competently reading a mean, dark, despicably dishonest speech designed to do pretty much nothing more than create more hatred for President Donald Trump and foment more violence on our nation’s streets. That this obviously declining, elderly man was able to keep it together for half an hour and lecture us all about wearing masks as our patriotic duty while not wearing a mask himself is a tribute to modern pharmaceuticals.

The Democrat nominal nominee most likely did not know where he was while delivering the speech, and won’t remember delivering it when he wakes up in a cold sweat this morning, but he is the nominee for better or – far more likely – worse. If he should win the election, his presidency will be among the shortest in American history. Presumably, the despicable party leaders would allow him to occupy the office for at least one day longer than the six and a half months served by James Garfield to spare Biden the ignomy of going down in history as the nation’s shortest term in office. Or maybe not: These are despicable and depraved Democrats after all.

But the plan is for the job to quickly be handed to Kamala Harris, and if that doesn’t inject cold fear into your heart, nothing can. The woman is a menace, a mean, ruthless, committed leftist who would not hesitate to use the presidency to punish anyone she considers to be an enemy, and has in fact stated as much on national television. We have never had a president remotely like her, and hopefully never will.

As this tawdry, mean-spirited convention comes to an end, the most striking aspect of it is the subjects that were not addressed. Here are some of the pressing matters that not a single speaker at the convention said a word about:

  • China. That’s right: Freedom’s most aggressive enemy on earth did not receive one word of mention from a single speaker over a span of four long, depressing days. Think about that.
  • Antifa. Not a single word from a single speaker about this domestic terrorist group, which is not at all surprising since Antifa – like the Ku Klux Klan before it – is a creation of the Democrat Party that serves as the party’s armed terrorist support group.
  • Riots. Not a word about the looting, burning and killing that dominated our TV screens for a full two months this summer. Again, not surprising since the riots were organized and paid for by front groups for George Soros and, yes, the Democrat Party.
  • Defunding the police. The overriding driving goal of communist Democrat mayors and city councils across the country did not get a single word of mention as far as I can tell. Why? Because it doesn’t poll well.
  • Islamic terrorism. Again, no surprise here. But hey, what could any Democrat say, given that the Trump Administration destroyed ISIS, which Barack Obama’s administration created and funded, and has basically neutered Iran’s Islamic Republic, which Obama and John Kerry had done their best to embolden.

The final image of the Democrat Party that was left for Americans to take away with them was this one:

Image

Watching in their homes, Americans all over the country responded with this:

Seriously, is there any more perfect image for the 2020 communist Democrat Party, which has spent every moment since February selling restrictions to freedom and abject fear as some lunatic’s version of “patriotic duty” than this? Especially since this one final virtue signal came immediately after Biden delivered his speech without wearing his own mask?

It’s absolutely perfect. This is your Democrat Party in action, folks. Aren’t all you communist Democrats proud?

That is all.

Monday News Roundup: All Democrats are Complicit in These Violent Riots, and Yale Doc Endorses HCQ

How in the world did this make its way into Newsweek? – That was my first reaction yesterday when an MD friend forwarded this story, endorsing the use of hydroxychloroquine (HQC) to me. Newsweek is part of the “resistance,” after all, and like CNN, the New York Times all the rest has completely tossed all prior concerns about “journalistic ethics” to the wind in the quest to rid the world of the Bad Orange Man in the White House.

Yet, here it is, a piece authored by Harvey A. Risch, MD, PHD, Professor of Epidemiology at the Yale School of Public Health, in all its glory.

Here’s an excerpt:

The Key to Defeating COVID-19 Already Exists. We Need to Start Using It | Opinion

As professor of epidemiology at Yale School of Public Health, I have authored over 300 peer-reviewed publications and currently hold senior positions on the editorial boards of several leading journals. I am usually accustomed to advocating for positions within the mainstream of medicine, so have been flummoxed to find that, in the midst of a crisis, I am fighting for a treatment that the data fully support but which, for reasons having nothing to do with a correct understanding of the science, has been pushed to the sidelines. As a result, tens of thousands of patients with COVID-19 are dying unnecessarily. Fortunately, the situation can be reversed easily and quickly.

I am referring, of course, to the medication hydroxychloroquine. When this inexpensive oral medication is given very early in the course of illness, before the virus has had time to multiply beyond control, it has shown to be highly effective, especially when given in combination with the antibiotics azithromycin or doxycycline and the nutritional supplement zinc.

On May 27, I published an article in the American Journal of Epidemiology (AJE) entitled, “Early Outpatient Treatment of Symptomatic, High-Risk COVID-19 Patients that Should be Ramped-Up Immediately as Key to the Pandemic Crisis.” That article, published in the world’s leading epidemiology journal, analyzed five studies, demonstrating clear-cut and significant benefits to treated patients, plus other very large studies that showed the medication safety.

How much clearer does the case in favor of this medication regime need to be made, how many more Americans must needlessly die before the corrupt U.S. news media stops demonizing it and pressuring doctors and pharmacists to refuse to use it? Because, make no mistake about this: Hundreds, probably thousand of Americans are dead today due to the despicable politicizing of this medicine by the Democrats and their media toadies. They have committed an outright atrocity.

POLL PANIC UPDATE – 32 years ago Sunday, a Gallup poll showed Mike Dukakis leading George HW Bush by a margin of 55 to 38. That’s right: Dukakis supposedly had a massive, insurmountable 17-point lead over the sitting Vice President.

On Election Day in November, Poppy Bush received 53.4% of the popular vote to 45.6% for Dukakis. Bush won a whopping 426 Electoral votes to just 111 for the little fraud from Massachusetts.

This concludes your POLL PANIC UPDATE for today.

And now for a moment of national insanity, brought to you by Major League Baseball. – You seriously just could never make this stuff up, folks, never in a million years:

Holy crap.

Coming soon to a city near you? – Very possibly unless President Trump ramps up the federal government’s response to the Democrat sponsored rioting happening across the country. In case you hadn’t noticed, it’s all starting to grow more intense again, because the Democrats see the COVID-19 “case” surge beginning to fade and lose impact on keeping the public frightened.

It’s also growing more violent:

59 police officers injured, and there is not a word of outrage expressed by Seattle’s despicable Marxist Mayor Jenny Durkan. Not a word of coverage from any of the network news operations, not a word from CNN or MSNBC, not a word in the New York Times or the Washington Post.

This is an armed insurrection paid for and sponsored by the Democrat Party for political reasons. As I’ve been telling you for more than two years now, the Democrat Party sees rioting and looting and burning cities as just another political tactic.

If you still do not believe that is the case, then how do you explain this:

“That’s a myth.” That, folks, is a political talking point, not to mention an outrageous, conscious lie.

For Democrat politicians – all of them are complicit, each and every one of them – all the misery, all the pain, all the destruction, all the economic loss and fear and injury and death, all of that is just a means to an end. This really is how they think, and it is only when you accept that reality about them that you realize that everything they do is perfectly predictable.

They will not stop until they are stopped or – heaven help us – until they win.

They must not win.

That is all.

Sunday News Roundup: The Democrat-Sponsored Riots Will Continue Until You Take A Knee

What if they wrote a Tweet and nobody knew what it meant? – Well, you’d get a Tweet like this one from Breitbart this morning: “The Seattle Storm and New York Liberty, walked off the court during the playing of the national anthem prior to their game on Saturday.”

That was the first thing I saw when I got online this morning, and I have to admit to being baffled. What in the world is a Seattle Storm and a New York Liberty? Turns out that those are two teams in the WNBA, a league I honestly thought had folded years ago.

From the Breitbart piece:

The Seattle Storm and New York Liberty, walked off the court during the playing of the national anthem prior to their game on Saturday.

In addition, there was a 26-second moment of silence in honor of 26-year-old Breonna Taylor who was shot and killed by Louisville police.

Each player also wore Taylor’s name on the back of their jerseys.

“We are dedicating this season to Breonna Taylor, an outstanding EMT who was murdered over 130 days ago in her home,” Liberty player Layshia Clarendon announced before tip-off. “Breonna Taylor was dedicated and committed to uplifting everyone around here. We are also dedicating this season to ‘Say Her Name” campaign, a campaign committed to saying the names and fighting for justice of black women – black women are so often forgotten in this fight for justice, who don’t have people marching in the streets for them. We will say her name. Sandra Bland. Atatiana Jefferson. Dominique Remy Fells. Breonna Taylor. We will be a voice for the voiceless.”

[End]

So, a really good cause but a really dumb way to draw attention to it. The great news for the WNBA is that no one watches their games anyway, so walking off the court won’t cost them in the TV ratings.

The “peaceful protests” continued around the country on Saturday. – In Austin, Texas, a chubby, pasty-white 30-something doofus who was carrying an AK-47 was shot and killed when he reportedly aimed his rifle at a passing motorist. Turned out the motorist – who is cooperating with local police – was carrying, too. The BLM protester’s last words to a TV interviewer were “people who hate us” are “too big of p-ssies to actually do anything about it.” Guess not. Life comes at you fast, foks.

In Seattle, the “peaceful protesters” from the BLM/Antifa terrorist complex managed to burn a large warehouse building and injure 21 police officers. That finally prompted despicable Marxist Mayor Jenny Durkan to declare a riot.

From a report by KIRO Channel 7:

During a media briefing with Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best, she said Saturday’s protest was not a peaceful demonstration at all [Gee, you think?], and many people were put at risk. She described the path that rioters took.

What started with thousands of people gathering peacefully Saturday afternoon in Capitol Hill in solidarity with the ongoing Black Lives Matter protests in Portland changed later in the day.

The group met at Seattle Central College at East Pine Street and Broadway at around 1 p.m. before starting their march and loudly making their message heard to defund SPD.

Things shifted at about 4 p.m.

During the march, Seattle police said about a dozen people devolved into a rampage of destruction as they marched past the King County Youth Detention Center at 12th Avenue and Alder Street, targeting the site.

Some rioters carried sledgehammers and began shattering workers’ car windows in the parking lot.

At one point, a rioter grabbed a flagger’s stop sign and used it as a weapon.

[End]

So, just a bunch of peaceful kids having peaceful fun in peaceful Seattle, right, New York Times?

Meanwhile, the fun continued in Portland, Oregon for the 59th straight day. Here’s how terrific journalist Andy Ngo captured the peaceful action:

Oh, so much peace, so much fun, so much beautiful bonding, right, CNN?

But never fear! Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has her priorities right where you’d expect them to be!

From a report at Breitbart:

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot deployed dozens of police officers on Thursday to form a human barricade around the block where she lives. This was the same day she ordered the removal of a Christopher Columbus statue in Grant Park in the overnight hours.

The local CBS affiliate reported on the scene in Chicago, where the Trump administration is sending federal police to help quell the ongoing violence, as shooting deaths occur on a daily basis:

About 1,000 protesters gathered in Logan Square Thursday night calling for racial justice and police reform. The protesters were gathered at Kimball and Wrightwood avenues, close to where Mayor Lori Lightfoot lives, as of 9:15 p.m.

The group included representatives of Black Lives Matter and Good Kids Mad City, and they are also calling for the defunding of police.

The protest began at the actual Logan Square at Milwaukee and Kedzie avenues. It grew considerably as it moved through the neighborhood.

Honestly, every time you think Democrat politicians cannot possibly become more depraved, despicable and demented, they go and prove you wrong.

That is all.

Saturday News Roundup: Antifa Gone Wild, Teachers Unions Gone Bad, and Racism at the New York Times

Antifa gone wild. – The summer remains hot and out of control in Lori Lightweight’s Chicago. No fewer than 18 under-armed Chicago police were injured by Antifa/BLM rioters last night as they defended a statue of Christopher Columbus that the rioters had attempted to tear down in Grant Park.

Watch this clip:

Note that probably 80% of the rioters are the classic pasty-faced white Millennials who staff, organize and foment Antifa/BLM/Democrat Party-sponsored riots all over the country.

From a report at the Chicago Tribune:

At least 1,000 people swarmed the Christopher Columbus statue in Grant Park on Friday evening in an attempt to topple it after a march turned tense and chaotic when some people began throwing fireworks and cans at the police, who in turn struck members of the crowd with batons.

Following a rally in support of Black and Indigenous people, hundreds of protesters marched south on Columbus Drive shortly after 7 p.m. Then a person shouted that some Chicago police units, whom they had been trying to separate the crowd from by using bike-wielding citizen “marshals,” had left to protect the statue of the controversial historical figure.

Dozens of people in the crowd who were clad in all-black clothing rushed the nearby statue, surrounding the short stone wall that circled it. Some began throwing objects, such as cans and fireworks, at the officers. A few people tried to climb over the wall and were met with officers smacking their batons at them.

About 18 officers were injured, some of whom were treated at the scene and others at area hospitals, Chicago police spokesman Thomas Ahern said. About a dozen people were arrested and face pending charges ranging from battery to a police officer to mob action, Ahern said. He said the aerosol used by officers was pepper spray.

[End]

The key thing to remember here is that these 18 officers would have had a far better chance of avoiding injury had their terms of engagement not been so absurdly limited. Why would anyone want to be a police officer in a city where the corrupt Mayor expects them to go into harm’s way completely unable to properly defend themselves?

The people in these mobs are cowards, and cowards will only continue to grow bolder until someone punches them in the face. The rioting will continue so long as Democrat mayors like Lori Lightweight are in control. Sadly, the mass exodus of good officers from the nation’s police forces will continue as well.

John Lewis has passed. – Long-time Georgia Congressman John Lewis, who Nancy Pelosi has been illegally allowing to “vote by proxy” as he lay bed-ridden and semi-lucid in a hospital bed for the past several months, passed away last night at the age of 80.

Unlike the gangs of Marxist/fascist thugs we see the Democrats funding to destroy our cities today, Mr. Lewis was, in his younger days, a true hero of the real civil rights movement of the 1960s, and a close associate of Dr. Martin Luther King.

Can there be any question at all that the Democrats will now demean and tarnish Cong. Lewis’s memory by staging 10 days worth of politically-driven “funerals” around the country? Of course they will. That’s what the Democrats do. He deserves to pass with more dignity than that, but San Fran Nan and Chuck Schumer and Al Sharpton just cannot allow that to happen.

Rest in Peace, John Lewis, if they will let you.

Dear public school teachers: This is the kind of thing that gives you all a bad reputation in the minds of millions of Americans. – Following the lead of the main teacher’s union in Los Angeles, a North Carolina teachers union – the Durham Association of Educators (DAE) – announced on Friday that it will only allow its members to return to work this fall if congress enacts universal healthcare and gives welfare benefits to illegal aliens.

From a piece in the Washington Free Beacon:

A North Carolina teachers’ union is calling for the implementation of universal health care and welfare benefits for illegal immigrants in order to reopen schools in the fall.

Just days after the Durham Association of Educators (DAE) issued a statement railing against the school district’s reopening plan, Durham Public Schools voted unanimously to hold all classes virtually for at least the first nine weeks of the school year. Included in the DAE statement was a call to adopt a variety of far-left policy goals before holding in-person classes, including Medicare for All and “direct income support regardless of immigration status.”

“There are concrete policies that have permitted other countries to flatten the curve and return to public life: moratoriums on rent and mortgage, universal health care, direct income support regardless of immigration status,” the statement reads. “We must fight together, collectively, for changes that will permit our communities to thrive during this pandemic and beyond.”

[End]

Utterly absurd. The average six year-old child has better associative reasoning skills than that on display in this letter. This is Marxism, pure and simple.

Public school teachers are the least of the problems with the nation’s public schools, although they tend to get most of the blame because they are ones who most often interact with the parents. But teachers unions, on the other hand, are the very heart of the problem, not just with the school system but with our society at large.

These are nothing more than thuggish leftwing political machines that use their funds to support socialist/Marxist causes. A sane society that wished to be preserved intact would order them all to be disbanded.

Being an anti-white racist means never having to say you’re sorry at the New York Times. – New York Times staff writer Nikole Hannah-Jones admitted this week to white people as “barbaric devils” and “bloodsuckers.” Naturally, no one at the Times is demanding that Jones – the lead author of the paper’s utterly false and inherently racist “1619 Project” –  apologize.

From a piece at the Daily Caller:

Hannah-Jones wrote that “the white race is the biggest murderer, rapist, pillager, and thief of the modern world.” in a 1995 letter that was originally obtained by The Federalist. Hannah-Jones also compared Christopher Columbus to Adolf Hitler, and claimed the “white race used deceit and trickery, warfare and rape” to steal land.

Hannah-Jones is the lead author of the New York Times’ 1619 project, and has defended violence and looting that occurred during protests in the wake of George Floyd’s death.

“And so when we think about someone taking an act to take something from some big box name store, it is symbolic,” she said of the looting. “That one pair of shoes that you’ve stolen from Foot Locker is not going to change your life. But it is a symbolic taking.”

[End]

Yes, surely, nothing says “social justice” like a spanking new TV or pair of Nikes.

Holy crap.

That is all.

Sunday News Roundup: No Justice in St. Louis, A Recall Drive Targets Durkan, and Trump Sends Dems a Blunt Message

The only “justice” available in St. Louis is the kind paid for by George Soros. – The St. Louis couple who brandished a pistol and rifle to protect their homes from a group of about 300 aggressive BLM Marxists who had broken down the gate to invade their community had their home invaded again on Friday. This time the invasion – and confiscation of their guns – was conducted by police acting on the orders of Obama-funded city prosecutor Kimberly Gardner:

So, a group of potentially violent rioters can destroy the legally-placed entrance to a gated community and invade private property (the streets in the neighborhood are owned by the HOA) and this “circuit attorney” will do nothing. But anyone who brandishes a permitted firearm as a means of protecting their own home will be subject to search and seizure and potential prosecution.

This is absolutely outrageous, and another instance where we see the U.S. Department of Justice doing nothing to intervene. William Barr, where are you?

The only real justice being executed in the United States right now appears to be whatever comes from the President’s desk. – Corrupt Marxist Minnesota Governor Tim Walz found that out the hard way late Friday evening, as his despicable request for a federal government bailout to repair the riot damage done to Minneapolis was outright denied by the Trump Administration.

From a story at the Minneapolis Star Tribune:

The federal government has denied Gov. Tim Walz’s request for aid to help rebuild and repair Twin Cities structures that were damaged in the unrest following George Floyd’s death.

Walz asked President Donald Trump to declare a “major disaster” for the state of Minnesota in his request to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on July 2. More than 1,500 buildings were damaged by fires, looting and vandalism in the days of unrest that followed Floyd’s May 25 death in Minneapolis police custody, racking up more than $500 million in damages, according to Walz.

The governor’s spokesman, Teddy Tschann, confirmed late Friday that the request for federal aid was denied.

“The Governor is disappointed that the federal government declined his request for financial support,” Tschann said in a statement. “As we navigate one of the most difficult periods in our state’s history, we look for support from our federal government to help us through.”

[End]

Oh, darn. Oh, heck. Oh, that nasty old Donald Trump.

Thank God for Donald Trump and his clear-eyed view of this world. These riots were Democrat Party riots. BLM and Antifa, the two domestic terrorist groups that organized and managed the riots, are nothing but Democrat Party armed support groups, just as the Ku Klux Klan was for more than a century in this country. These Democrat Party riots were enabled and urged on by Democrat mayors and Democrat governors and simply do not in any way merit the intervention of the U.S. taxpayer to help to pay for the damage they caused.

This Trump ruling was a big middle finger to Gov. Walz, and it sends a very important signal to the Democrat Party and its armed terrorists: You break it, you buy it.

It is the only proper signal to send.

News you won’t see reported on CNN or MSNBC. – A Washington state judge approved a petition effort to recall despicable Democrat/Marxist Mayor Jenny Durkan, the feckless nitwit who facilitated the June riots in her city that led to the illegal establishment of the infamous CHAZ/CHOP area.

From a story at the Washington Times:

A King County Superior Court judge has approved a petition for an election to recall Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan.

The Seattle Times reports the ruling Friday on charges filed by a group of five people last month comes after weeks of local protests against racism and police brutality – sparked by the killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

Once any recall petition is approved, signatures are needed to qualify for a special election ballot. The petitioners must, within 180 days, collect valid signatures from a number of voters equal to 25% of the votes cast in the last election. In this case, signatures from more than 50,000 Seattle voters would be needed.

The Durkan petitioners’ recall effort accuses the mayor of “endanger(ing) the peace and safety of the community” by allowing police to “leak false information about fabricated crimes and threats to the media” and issuing a citywide curfew without sufficient notice to the public. The petitioners also accused Durkan of restricting certain property rights in downtown Seattle and Capitol Hill, the neighborhood where many of the protests took place.

In a response Saturday, Durkan’s chief of staff, Stephanie Formas, said the mayor “consistently has acted to protect the City’s public health and safety and to respect the constitutional rights to peaceful protesters.”

[End]

The statement by Durkan’s chief of staff is an outright lie. Durkan willingly facilitated the actions of the rioters every step of the way, including ordering her police to stand down as the domestic terrorists seized control of the 3rd precinct police building and a city hall annex. She only relented and allowed the police to do their jobs after the rioters broke into her own gated community and vandalized her home.

Seattle Mayor Durkan's 'Summer of Love' - Ricochet

No Mayor in U.S. history – with the possible exceptions of Bill de Blasio and Lori Lightfoot – has more richly deserved to be booted out of office than Durkan. If this recall effort fails, then any thinking person still living in Seattle with the means to do so should flee the area, because all hope for avoiding an inevitable descent into utter chaos will be lost.

Good luck and Godspeed.

Jason Whitlock Flays and Exposes the NFL and Black Lives Matter

Over the past month I have received a number of nasty notes from both acquaintances (I hesitate to use the word ‘friend’ for these people) and non-acquaintances over my consistent characterization of Black Lives Matter being essentially the same as Antifa: A Marxist/Anarchist terrorist organization funded by Soros-backed front groups whose goal is the destruction of America.

Black Lives Matter is not, as the corrupt news media continues to contend, any sort of social justice or civil rights organization. You don’t have to take my word for it – all you have to do is visit the group’s website and read its goals and objectives. It is a Marxist-run terrorist organization, period.

If you don’t believe BLM’s own website and public statements by its leaders bragging about how they are all “trained Marxists,” how about Jason Whitlock?

As he noted on Twitter the other day, Mr. Whitlock – a highly-regarded sports writer and sports-TV personality – has been Black since the day he was born. He also has a long and public history of being completely down with the real goals of real social justice and civil rights groups in America.

Whitlock appeared on Tucker Carlson’s Fox News program last night and echoed my assessment of BLM to a T. In the process he also excoriated the NFL owners and Commissioner Roger Goodell as cowards who are sucking up to a bunch of Marxists. It was epic.

Here is a clip of the interview – Whitlock comes on at about the 1:40 mark:

Here are some of Whitlock’s statements:

Asked about the NFL’s lack of leadership, Whitlock said:

“I see a lack of leadership. A failure of men. This goes against every value that exemplifies America. The NFL has built itself on unity and there is no way you can do any research on the Black Lives Matter Movement and not see it’s a Marxist movement.”

Tucker asked Whitlock where is NFL commissioner Roger Goodell during this mess?

“Under his desk like a coward. Abandoning those in America that enriched him by doing nothing to back them up. A complete failure of leadership that has men and women falling in cowardice.”

About Black Lives Matter, Whitlock said it is a “Marxist political organization” that does not stand for “Black death nor Black men.”

“It is a political movement. It is a Communist political movement. … I’ve seen many of these guys [NFL owners], they claim they’re in Christianity and their religious beliefs, do they understand Black Lives Matter, Communism, Marxism, is anti-religious? This is a historic failure of men and leadership. This is cowardice at its highest level, this is the NFL jumping the shark and saying we quit being who we said we are. We’re now something else because our money is on the line and we don’t stand for the values we said we stood for.”

[End]

Now, I suppose Whitlock will inevitably become the target of the Perpetual Outrage crowd on Twitter, which leads the cancel culture there. Because there is nothing those on the political left in America hate and fear more than a Black man telling the truth.

Just ask Clarence Thomas and Tim Scott.

Black Lives Matter is essentially the same as Antifa: A Marxist/Anarchist domestic terrorist group. You don’t have to take my word for it anymore.

That is all.

America’s Universities are About to Reveal Their Essential Uselessness

Harvard: America’s most expensive University of Phoenix clone.Harvard announced on Monday that it will hold no face-to-face undergraduate classes  this fall – all “learning” the students accomplish will be done on-line. This plan could also extend through the spring semester of 2021.

Oh, but guess what? That $49,000 tuition per semester won’t be commensurately reduced. Oh, no – perish that thought.

Think about what Harvard and other universities who take this same politically-motivated approach are about to see happen to them over the next year: Millions of parents who have been either footing the bills or watching their kids go into heinous debt so they can attend classes in the “hallowed halls” of extremely overrated brainwashing factories that are largely responsible for producing the mindset behind all of the Marxist-led social unrest we are seeing this summer are going to realize just how unnecessary those “hallowed halls” happen to be.

It’s inevitable. We are going to see the exact same dynamic take place in the commercial real estate market as employers are figuring out that most of their employees are actually more productive working from home and don’t need to commute to and from costly office space every day.

If all “learning” can be achieved equally well from a distance, if every university can become just another University of Phoenix, then why in the hell have America’s parents been paying for the building of all of these stupidly-costly palaces filled with tenured professors who haven’t really taught a damn thing in decades? Surely, an institution of higher learning like Harvard would not implement a 100% distance-learning agenda unless it could ensure its students continued to learn at the same pace, right?

Well, right???

Here’s the other thing that is inevitably about to happen: Many parents of students learning from home are likely to take advantage of that fact to witness first-hand the kind of Marxist/anarchist crap these universities are indoctrinating their children with. And those parents are going to be horrified, and they will talk with other parents of other students who they know.

Trust me, that will not be a positive sequence of events for America’s universities.

One of the dirty little secrets about the Antifa/BLM domestic terror complex is that the vast majority of those chubby, pasty-white Millennials you invariably see leading those riots and making up most of their participants were indoctrinated with Marxist/anarchist ideology while in college. These aren’t teenagers – the basic age group appears to be in the 25-35 year old range. They didn’t just think up all of this anti-America nonsense on their own or stumble into some organic riot planning meeting – they were steeped in this radical ideology by university professors.

About a month ago, some football players at The University of Texas famously sent out a long list of demands about renaming buildings, removing statues from the campus and declaring the school song – The Eyes of Texas – to be “racist.” (It isn’t.)

Guess who wrote that list of demands? If you think it was those football players, you might be naive about the thinking and writing abilities of 20 year-old wide receivers. The list was written by a radical professor at UT. That professor’s name will inevitably be made public soon enough.

The point here is that these kids don’t just come up with this stuff on their own. Left to their own devices, these kids are going to drink some beer, smoke some pot, listen to a whole lot of really bad music, study a little bit and end up getting a 4-year degree in 5 or 6 years. But at our nation’s universities, these professors and other campus radicals aren’t going to leave them to their own devices. And that’s how you end up with a dozen U.S. cities being looted and burned by domestic terrorist groups over a month of one summer.

Thus, one of the great benefits of a year of distance learning is that these students will have far less exposure to their professors and thus, much less indoctrination time.

There is no more fundamentally archaic, financially draining and wasteful institution in America today than the nation’s university system. By pretending for political reasons that they can’t risk letting 18 to 23 year-olds who are virtually impervious to COVID-19 go back to school this fall, these universities are about to reveal their essential uselessness to the world.

Cool.

That is all.

Wednesday News Roundup: Fauci is a Menace, an Environmentalist’s Apology, BLM/Antifa Shooting in Provo

Just one more reason to lock Dr. Anthony Fauci in a broom closet and lose the key. – Back in January, Dr. Fauci – who has never found a cure for any virus and is yet to get a single thing right about this one – assured us that COVID-19 presented no immediate threat to the United States.

Yesterday, during testimony before a Senate committee, Fauci said this about a new viral gift from China:

Why is this menace to our society still employed by the federal government, and still making media appearances on behalf of the Trump Administration? His ongoing presence in the national debate is even more malevolent and destructive than that of Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff.

That’s why the lone bright spot in yesterday’s hearing came from Dr. Rand Paul, Senator from Kentucky, who sliced, diced and ground Fauci’s unbridled hubris into a million pieces. From a report at Political Insider:

“Fatal conceit is the concept that central planning with decision making concentrated in a few hands can never fully grasp the millions of complex, individual interactions occurring simultaneously in the marketplace. It is a fatal conceit to believe any one person or small group of people has the knowledge necessary to direct an economy or dictate public health behaviour,” Senator Paul explained.

“I think government health experts during this pandemic need to show caution in their prognostications. It’s important to realize that if society meekly submits to an expert, and that expert is wrong, a great deal of harm may occur. When we allow one man’s policy or one group of small men or women to be foisted on an entire nation,” he continued.

Senator Paul gave the example of experts demanding school closures, in order to control the spread of the coronavirus. This is despite solid examples from all over the world, that show no surge in cases when schools open. Contact tracing studies in China, the U.K., Netherlands, and Iceland also failed to find a single case of child to adult infection.

“Perhaps our planners might think twice before they weigh in on every subject. Perhaps our government advisors might hold their tongue,” Paul argued.

“Why weigh in with these opinions that we have no knowledge of? They are forecasts that may well be wrong. Perhaps our experts might consider the undue fear they are instilling in teachers who are now afraid to go back to work. We shouldn’t presume that a group of experts somehow knows what’s best for everyone,” he added.

[End]

Dr. Paul did not call Fauci out by name, but it is obvious who he was referring to in his remarks. Whether Fauci, stewed as he is in a toxic mixture of arrogance and media adulation, took any of it to heart is doubtful.

This little man is a national menace.

Environmentalist Dr. Michael Shellenberger stands as a stark contrast to Dr. Fauci. Shellenberger is the rarest of rare individuals in the world of climate change environmentalism – an expert who understands the limits of his own ability to predict the future using the same kind of faulty computer models that once told us we would lose 2 million Americans to COVID-19, and who understands the incredible damage to global society that has been committed by those in his profession.

Yesterday, Shellenberger published a piece at Quillette.com titled, “On Behalf Of Environmentalists, I Apologize For The Climate Scare.” The title is self-descriptive of the content.

Here’s an excerpt:

On behalf of environmentalists everywhere, I would like to formally apologize for the climate scare we created over the last 30 years. Climate change is happening. It’s just not the end of the world. It’s not even our most serious environmental problem. I may seem like a strange person to be saying all of this. I have been a climate activist for 20 years and an environmentalist for 30.

But as an energy expert asked by Congress to provide objective expert testimony, and invited by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) to serve as expert reviewer of its next assessment report, I feel an obligation to apologize for how badly we environmentalists have misled the public.

Here are some facts few people know:

  • Humans are not causing a “sixth mass extinction”

  • The Amazon is not “the lungs of the world”

  • Climate change is not making natural disasters worse

  • Fires have declined 25 percent around the world since 2003

  • The amount of land we use for meat—humankind’s biggest use of land—has declined by an area nearly as large as Alaska

  • The build-up of wood fuel and more houses near forests, not climate change, explain why there are more, and more dangerous, fires in Australia and California

  • Carbon emissions are declining in most rich nations and have been declining in Britain, Germany, and France since the mid-1970s

  • The Netherlands became rich, not poor while adapting to life below sea level

  • We produce 25 percent more food than we need and food surpluses will continue to rise as the world gets hotter

  • Habitat loss and the direct killing of wild animals are bigger threats to species than climate change

  • Wood fuel is far worse for people and wildlife than fossil fuels

  • Preventing future pandemics requires more not less “industrial” agriculture

I know that the above facts will sound like “climate denialism” to many people. But that just shows the power of climate alarmism.

[End]

Go read the piece in full. It’ll be the best 10 minutes you spend all day.

I keep telling everyone that BLM and Antifa are just different names for the same terrorist groups. – Yesterday in Provo, Utah, Black Lives Matter engaged in a dangerous escalation of its tactics, as one of the group’s activists actually shot a man who was attempting to escape from a mob of BLM thugs who had surrounded his car:

Despicably, the corrupt news media attempted to portray the driver as the bad guy, until enterprising people on Twitter slowed down and enhanced the video to clearly show that it was a BLM activist who did the shooting. The utter depravity of our news media today simply knows no depths.

This morning, Provo police announce they have arrested a suspect:

The police go on to say:

Police also arrested Samantha Darling, 27-year-old resident of Ogden City, and booked her into custody at the Utah County Jail for a charge of Obstruction of Justice and Rioting. The Provo Police Department extends its thanks to citizens…

who gave evidence and testimony to investigators and to allied agencies and officers who assisted this investigation, notably Ogden and Salt Lake City Police Departments. The investigation of criminal acts incident to protest events in Provo last night is ongoing.

[End]

Rumors flew yesterday of a second gunman on the opposite side of the street also drawing a pistol and aiming it at the vehicle, but no proof has come to light thus far.

Regardless, this incident demonstrates a very dangerous escalation of the Antifa/BLM insurgency in our country. It’s obvious that President Trump would prefer to avoid calling in the National Guard to put these riots down, but the escalating violence and animalistic behavior increasingly exhibited by these Marxist radicals, combined with the refusal by local officials to take effective action, could ultimately leave him no choice.

They’re shooting people now, Mr. President. The National Guard and your powers to declare national emergencies exist for a reason. Time is growing short to make use of them.

That is all.

Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan is a Raging, Despicable Hypocrite

Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan couldn’t be bothered to try to protect her city’s citizens when they were seeing their property destroyed by rioters for two weeks in early June. She didn’t have a care in the world for business owners who had their stores looted and vandalized. She stood by and made fun of residents and workers in the 6 square block area of her city that was taken over by Antifa and BLM thugs and dubbed first the CHAZ and then the CHOP.

The Mayor praised the CHAZ/CHOP as a new “summer of love,” and continued to defend it even after her chief of police expressed her concern about not being able to help people in that zone of depravity who were being assaulted and beaten up. She even defended the heavily armed leftist criminals who ran the place after the first murder that happened there, only finally relenting and claiming she was going to let her police rid the zone of its human pestilence last weekend after a second murder had taken place.

But boy, let a member of her city council organize a protest action in front of her house and suddenly Mayor Jenny Durkan is an outraged woman of action.

From a piece by Sara Carter:

Seattle’s Mayor Jenny Durkan on Sunday issued a statement after a group gathered outside her home to protest her decision to dismantle their autonomous zone, saying the protestors have no “regard” for her “safety.”

“Mayor Durkan and her family are in the state program to keep their address confidential because of the death threats mostly related to her work as Seattle’s U.S. Attorney under President Obama,” a statement from the mayor’s office read. “Instead of working to make true change, Councilmember Sawant continues to choose political stunts. Tonight she did so without regard for the safety of the Mayor and her family. The Mayor was not even home – she was working at City Hall. Seattle can and should peacefully demonstrate but should not put families and children at risk.”

[End]

That was on Sunday. Today, she issued a letter to the city council requesting that it “punish or expel” councilwoman Sawant for essentially doxxing her:

Mayor Durkan is justified in being concerned for her family over this leftist idiot’s decision to organize a potentially violent group of domestic terrorists to protest at her home. She is also the world’s worst hypocrite for refusing to express any similar concerns for the people of her city as their property was destroyed and their lives placed in danger as Durkan sat by and did nothing.

Bottom line: Jenny Durkan is today’s Worst Person in the World.

That is all.

Larry Schweikart: An Alternative Theory of the Riots

Guest Piece by Larry Schweikart

Some of you may know that I’m a historian of American banking and finance—that was my original research area and I probably wrote 4-5 books on the subject. What makes that all the more remarkable is that I never took a formal course in banking, finance, or even economics in my life. It was all “on the job training.”

So in a recent chat with a former co-author, Professor Charles Calormiris of Columbia University, on an article that came to be the most-cited piece I’ve ever written (“The Panic of 1857,” Journal of Economic History), our conversation naturally turned to banking. He began discussing research from his 2015 book “Fragile By Design” with Stephen Haber. He mentioned that something they found in that book now seemed all the clearer in light of recent riots.

In the 1990s through the early 2000s, there was a merger wave occurring among banks and financial firms. Many of you will remember your local, hometown banks began to disappear, replaced by J. P. Morgan Chase, Citibank, Wachovia, and Bank of America. It turns out that in the late 1990s, in order to gain congressional approval for these pending mergers, the banks needed to get certain legislators on their side. Legislators who were, shall we say, highly persuaded by minority communities. More to the point, the big banks needed leading black organizations and leaders to support their mergers.

Now, you ask, what possibly could be the benefit to minorities of having giants like Citibank or Chase take over more local banks? Under normal circumstances, nothing. But shakedown artists like Rev. Jesse Jackson and the Rev. Al Sharpton always know where to find a buck. In this case it was “community reinvestment.” Banks, they figured, could be “encouraged” to make massive loans in minority neighborhoods. Gee, someone might have to, er, “direct” such lending, wouldn’t they?

Absolutely. May I introduce NCRC, the National Community Reinvestment Coalition. Bank loans to the “minority community” were funneled through the NCRC—no doubt with the reverends taking a reasonable fee for their services—and in return, the black community wrote letters and gave testimony supporting the mergers. Just how much money are we talking about here? Two trillion dollars.

That money began to run out in 2015. The loans were usually either 10- or 15-year loan programs. “What’s the big deal? Just go back and shake them down again,” you say. Not so fast: the mergers are already complete. The banks don’t need the black community anymore. Just where were the bulk of these loans made? Oh, my friends, you know the answer to that. Calomiris and Haber found the usual suspects: Baltimore, St. Louis, Chicago—virtually anywhere there has been a riot recently.

It’s abundantly clear that one (perhaps only one, but perhaps the most important) of the factors that kept the streets quiet was the “walkin’ around money” spread by the banks seeking mergers. While the “Black Lives Matter” corporate coercion may produce relative dabs of cash, the leaders of these movements cannot hope to make up a $2 trillion shortfall. There may be much more to these riots than just “police brutality.” The gravy train has run out, and for now, even the ransom payments from corporate America won’t come close to replacing it.

The Kurt Schlichter Message Everyone Should Heed

The Mid-Day Campaign Update

Conservative columnist Kurt Schlichter has a thread on Twitter today that everyone should read and digest. His message is simple: While the corrupt news media wants you to believe that the entire country is disintegrating around your ears, the truth is that the social unrest and monument toppling is taking place in isolated areas of big cities run exclusively by Democrats.

Here is Schlichter’s thread:

Pulling down statues in leftist cities that refuse to maintain order is an attempt to psyche you into thinking everything is out of control.

It’s not. 2/

A couple hundred people in Frisco? The local cops were ordered to let it happen. Same with DC. What is this. 3/

So you think “Why isn’t Trump doing something?” But it’s a few hundred bums out of 330 million. And local cities could turn it off in a heartbeat – but refuse to.

Why? 4/

To convince you, the law and order types, that Trump is allowing mass chaos. But it’s not mass by any standard.
Nor is it chaos, aside the local  Democrats who are actively facilitating it and making sure no one is actually getting hurt (except dummies that the statues fall on) 5/

What would you have Trump do?Have him do a dirty, violent job the locals refuse to? Send soldiers in and risk real violence – which plays against him?

It’s infuriating – and it’s meant to be – but Trump’s right not to take the bait. 6/

The answer is to let the left cities have their performance art fun. Let them trash themselves. Understand how it’s meant to manipulate you. If they leave Dem areas, unleash the local cops.

Do not do what the enemy wants! 7/

Be woke to the enemy’s game plan. Support the President. Do not be suckered – he isn’t!

Watch him use the DoJ! Buy guns and ammunition for legitimate deterrence & lawful self-defense.

Vote GOP down the line – better yet, campaign! 8/

[Thanks for the attention the thread has received]

Ask yourself – have you heard the name “George Floyd” lately, especially in connection with the couple of Dem cities where statues were pulled?

Nope.

Floyd was their cover. It’s gone. And normal people hate pointless chaos 10/

It went from protests people did not think were illegitimate (which the bad actors exploited) to violence with no arguably legitimate cause.

The Dems try to exploit the Antifa types as storm troopers, but their control of the radicals is limited. 11/

Remember, Democrats really only want a return to the status quo (minus us normal people having rights and the ability to again disrupt the status quo). But their radical cat’s paws want revolution.

The Dems are riding a tiger. 12/

The radicals are over their skis past what normal people consider legitimate protests.

Dems are content with the chaos for now, since it causes us to think Trump is out of control, but they worry the radicals will tire of meaningless Dem city antics and threaten the suburbs. 13/

The second those whiny white wine women feel themselves or their families physically or economically threatened, they will turn to the strong horse – Trump, and law + order.

Biden is a hapless tool who can’t/won’t protect them.

Their husbands are already there. 14/

Trump’s Game Plan:

1 – Identify himself with law + order

2 – Avoid using federal force that can turn into Kent State 2 (the Dem dream)

3 –  Use the DOJ to prosecute & deter the radicals who were happy to riot knowing Dem prosecutors would give them a pass

4 – Let them overstep 15/

The Dems win if we panic and capitulate before their radical partners radically overstep. And being radical is what radicals do.

Don’t panic. Don’t let the media – which is all in with the left – manipulate you.

Get prepared and get woke. 16/

Want a quick sanity check? Look out your window. Unless you overlook Golden Gate Park in Scat Francisco, the Atlanta Wendy’s or that DC square, there’s no chaos outside.

It’s all a show designed to scare you away from Trump and into the gropey embrace of Puppet Joe! 17/

[End]

Now, it can be hard for ordinary folks out here in flyover country to keep all of this stuff in perspective when we are being subjected to yet another massive brainwashing effort by the nation’s corrupt news media in collusion with the Democrat Party. But that’s exactly what Schlichter does for you with this thread.

What he says is undeniably true: Outside of these Democrat-run cities, life in America is by and large going on as usual. My wife and I drove 30 miles through the DFW Metroplex yesterday to have dinner with some family at a fine Dallas restaurant. Traffic was normal – which in DFW means heavy – the malls and shopping centers were filled with customers, and the diverse crowd at the restaurant were all in a good mood, interacting with the staff and with one another in the normal Texas way.

The local news this morning tells me that there was a modest demonstration taking place in nearby downtown Dallas, but we neither saw nor heard any of it. Meanwhile, the rioting and unrest continued in leftist Democrat cities like Portland, Washington, DC and Atlanta, but again, 99% of people in those cities were unimpacted by them.

The Democrats and their corrupt media toadies want you to believe that the country is falling apart and that it’s all Trump’s fault so that they can convince you to vote for a frail, elderly man that you can plainly see is very likely in the early stages of some form of dementia. Actually, maybe not-so-early stages. Convincing you that Joe Biden, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the ChiCom government and serial fondler of women and their daughters at public events, is the only thing standing between you and societal destruction is literally the only hope the Democrats have of winning this election.

The country is not falling apart, but it will fall apart if we put the same people who have overseen the staged riots and looting and burning of large swaths of major cities over the past month in charge of the federal government. The truth is that Donald J. Trump is the only thing standing between you and that disastrous outcome.

That is all.

Monday News Roundup: CHAZ Demands, Stelter Pounded, and Truth From the Least Expected Place

SHOCK: Berkeley professor tells the flat-out truth about George Floyd and the riots. – This was referred to me by a friend on Sunday. It’s something you really don’t expect to see, unvarnished truth coming from a professor on the campus of UC Berkeley in a letter to his colleagues. Here’s a short excerpt from it:

I am one of your colleagues at the University of California, Berkeley. I have met you both personally but do not know you closely, and am contacting you anonymously, with apologies. I am worried that writing this email publicly might lead to me losing my job, and likely all future jobs in my field.

In your recent departmental emails you mentioned our pledge to diversity, but I am increasingly alarmed by the absence of diversity of opinion on the topic of the recent protests and our community response to them. In the extended links and resources you provided, I could not find a single instance of substantial counter-argument or alternative narrative to explain the under-representation of black individuals in academia or their over-representation in the criminal justice system. The explanation provided in your documentation, to the near exclusion of all others, is univariate: the problems of the black community are caused by whites, or, when whites are not physically present, by the infiltration of white supremacy and white systemic racism into American brains, souls, and institutions.

Many cogent objections to this thesis have been raised by sober voices, including from within the black community itself, such as Thomas Sowell and Wilfred Reilly. These people are not racists or ‘Uncle Toms’. They are intelligent scholars who reject a narrative that strips black people of agency and systematically externalizes the problems of the black community onto outsiders. Their view is entirely absent from the departmental and UCB-wide communiques.

The claim that the difficulties that the black community faces are entirely causally explained by exogenous factors in the form of white systemic racism, white supremacy, and other forms of white discrimination remains a problematic hypothesis that should be vigorously challenged by historians. Instead, it is being treated as an axiomatic and actionable truth without serious consideration of its profound flaws, or its worrying implication of total black impotence. This hypothesis is transforming our institution and our culture, without any space for dissent outside of a tightly policed, narrow discourse.

[End]

You can and should go read the rest of it at this link. You’ll be better educated for doing so.

Speaking of George Floyd… – The “peaceful protesters” were back out on the streets of New York City on Sunday.:

With “peaceful protesters” like these, who needs Antifa?

Here is a Trump advisor who needs more airtime. – Watch as Trump Campaign legal advisor Jenna Ellis puts CNN’s resident news-faking eunuch Brian Stelter in his place:

The truth hurts, especially when it occasionally shows up on CNN.

Speaking of news-faking eunuchs… – Fox News’s own resident news-faking eunuch, Chris Wallace, took a moment off from hawking his latest ghost-written book to say this on the same subject:

“You see some reporters now who have become advocates — I see it in the press briefings now. You know, I was pretty tough in the press briefings with Ronald Reagan and his press secretaries in the 80s, but we were basically trying to get information. Some of the press briefings now I see the White House press corps — it’s supposed to be one of the top jobs in journalism — it’s more playing gotcha or more just trying to get in arguments and advance their point of view. That’s not what we’re supposed to be doing.”

“I think too many reporters have fallen into the role of being advocates and, frankly with this president, anti-Trump advocates,” Wallace continued, saying that journalists need to be able to stay “neutral” and “call balls and strikes.”

[End]

Of course, he preceded that by parroting Stelter’s complaint that the President’s “attacks” on corrupt media outlets are somehow “outrageous.” Because, in his heart, Chris Wallace is no different from his muck-raking Marxist daddy.

Well, except for New York City, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Austin, Chicago and every other Democrat-run city in America. – House majority whip James Clyburn actually said that “nobody is going to defund the police” in an interview over the weekend.

On the very same day, the New York Times ran an op/ed penned by a Democrat activist titled “Yes, We Mean Literally Abolish the Police.” Just so that no one thinks that the headline might not reflect the piece’s content, here are the first three paragraphs:

Congressional Democrats want to make it easier to identify and prosecute police misconduct; Joe Biden wants to give police departments $300 million. But efforts to solve police violence through liberal reforms like these have failed for nearly a century.

Enough. We can’t reform the police. The only way to diminish police violence is to reduce contact between the public and the police.

There is not a single era in United States history in which the police were not a force of violence against black people. Policing in the South emerged from the slave patrols in the 1700 and 1800s that caught and returned runaway slaves. In the North, the first municipal police departments in the mid-1800s helped quash labor strikes and riots against the rich. Everywhere, they have suppressed marginalized populations to protect the status quo.

[End]

D’oh! Somebody forgot to send the DNC talking points memo to the New York Times.

How about we just declare everyone participating in the CHAZ to be an illegal alien and deport them instead? – This is rich: The Antifa morons occupying Seattle’s Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone demanded on Sunday that the U.S. immediately provide amnesty to the 20 million+ illegal aliens currently in the country. As reported by Breitbart:

Officials for CHAZ also said illegal aliens must be called “undocumented” because “no person is illegal.” The demands include:

We demand that the funding previously used for Seattle Police be redirected into:

A) Socialized Health and Medicine for the City of Seattle.

B) Free public housing, because housing is a right, not a privilege.

C) Public education, to decrease the average class size in city schools and increase teacher salary.

D) Naturalization services for immigrants to the United States living here undocumented. (We demand they be called “undocumented” because no person is illegal.)

E) General community development. Parks, etc.

So, here we have a bunch of people who are literally claiming to have invented their own separate and autonomous country by illegally occupying six square blocks in downtown Seattle, sending out a list of demands to the U.S. government. Seems like the proper approach here would be for the federal government to recognize the CHAZites’ separate, non-U.S. citizenship and deport them to someplace like Venezuela where they would feel more at home and no doubt be treated as they deserve to be treated by the authorities there.

You seriously could never make this stuff up.

That is all.

The BLM Long Knives Come out for Val Demings

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Nobody’s immune from the BLM intolerance mob. – Val Demings, the former police chief of Orlando, Florida and current congresswoman from there, has been getting a ton of attention from the corrupt news media since she has been regularly mentioned as being on the short list to become the running mate of Creepy Uncle Quid Pro Farty China Joe Biden. But in these days of the lunatic cancel culture, that kind of attention can be a dangerous thing.

Demings is finding that out the hard way this morning as she has now become the latest target of the leftist intolerance mob, led by Black Lives Matter. Specifically, she has become the target of one Hawk Newsome, who styles himself as the President of the New York Chapter of Black Lives Matter. Asked by a reporter about Demings, Newsome responded by saying “Joe Biden would be an idiot to put her on his ticket.’People are already on the fence about him. When black people become police officers, they are no longer black. They are blue. And I have been told this by numerous officers.”

Well, golly, there you go. See, to Black Lives Matter, Black lives don’t matter once they’ve turned “blue.” Just as the 30-40 Black lives that are snuffed out every weekend by Black gangsters in Chicago don’t matter. Just as the hundreds of thousands of Black lives that are ended by an abortionist’s knife in a Planned Parenthood facility every year don’t matter.

The only Black lives that matter to Black Lives Matter are Black lives that are politically advantageous to the Democrat Party.

That’s the truth about Black Lives Matter.

Ok, so, who’s next on that list? – Did someone say Senator Kamala Harris? Oh, yeah, girl, they’re coming for you next. Do not doubt it.

See, Kamala Harris spent years serving as the Attorney General of California, otherwise known as that state’s chief law enforcement officer. You think she isn’t “blue” in the racist, bigoted eyes of Black Lives Matter activists? Please.

Harris has already taken a lot of grief over the fact that, while serving in her previous post, she was an avid enforcer of maximum sentencing laws aimed at drug offenders, a disproportionate percentage of whom happen to be Black. Even better for the Black Lives Matter intolerance mob, there are all kinds of video and audio clips out there circulating around the interwebs capturing a smiling, mocking Harris in all her Willie Brown supported glory, bragging about sending all of those Black people off to prison for many years.

So, given that Biden’s handlers are under great pressure now to choose a Black woman to be their elderly, doddering candidate’s running mate, who does that leave on the list?

Well, there’s Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, whose official bio doesn’t really talk at all about what she might have achieved before becoming Mayor. But she spent several years in law practice and as a judge, so you kind of have to wonder what she might be trying to hide right now from the Intolerance Mob. She also was very critical of the recent riots that BLM helped to organize in her city, and, unlike her peers in Minneapolis, New York City, Seattle, Chicago and Portland, made aggressive use of her police force in quelling them.

Bottoms is now faced with even more rioting in her city due to another police killing of a Black suspect, whose only “crime” appears to have been getting drunk and falling asleep in his car, which was parked in a fast food restaurant’s parking lot. Given that Bottoms had her police out in force again last night, she’s obviously got a problem unless she backs off and lets BLM and Antifa set up an autonomous zone around CNN headquarters.

Then there’s Susan Rice, the pathological liar who served as Barack Obama’s National Security Advisor. Aside from being a very poor liar – which most Democrat voters consider to be a real qualification in a vice presidential or presidential candidate – Rice doesn’t appear to have any obvious “blue” disqualifications in her background, which has almost exclusively been spent in appointed political jobs.

As a result, Rice may win the Democrat Veepstakes by default unless something as yet unrevealed about her should come to light.

Should that happen, the Biden elder abusers can always turn their eyes back to Georgia gubernatorial looooooser Stacey Abrams. Abrams was all over the media this week, sadly admitting that she hasn’t received any calls from Biden’s handlers about the job, reminding everyone how eager she is to become the least qualified vice president in American history.

Keep your chin up, Stacey, there’s still hope!

Holy crap.

America Stands on the Cusp of a Second Chance at Reconstruction

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

A new Reuters poll finds that 51% of Republican voters favor “sweeping police reforms,” a finding that no doubt shocks 98% of the national news media, but won’t surprise many Republicans. After all, you just need to review the policing wasteland we have seen all across the nation over the past three weeks – and the heinous police crime that set it all off – to understand the reasons why.

One aspect of the George Floyd murder that received very little coverage from our corrupt news media was the statement made by the local County Attorney early on that it normally takes him over 6 months to bring charges in a criminal case against a police officer. Ordinary citizens enjoy no such luxury: In a case like the one against Derek Chauvin, in which the killer wasn’t even arrested until 4 days had passed, any ordinary citizen would have been charged with at least 2nd degree murder within 24 hours after the act while they were sitting in a jail cell with a 300-lb sex offender alternately named Bubba or Doris, depending on what time of day it was.

In this particular case, due to all the public outrage, the County Attorney got his slow butt in gear and expedited the process. But normally, without all the demonstrations and rioting that took place, Chauvin would have been walking around a free man for 6 months before charges were even brought against him. Why does it take so long to charge a cop? Because of all the special protections police unions negotiate into police contracts during negotiations. In many cities, firing a cop is harder than firing a treasonous Obama operative embedded in the National Security Council. It’s ridiculous.

We’ve lost sight of this now, but Chauvin had had 18 formal complaints filed against him during the course of his police career. EIGHTEEN. Literally everyone in the department knew he was a loose cannon and a bad actor, yet he was still out on the street, free to abuse the people of the community. That’s insanity. Stuff like that has to stop. Unions have their legitimate place, but their place needs to stop being to negotiate nonsense into police contracts that enable this kind of tragedy, which certainly led directly to the killing of George Floyd.

GOP Senator Rand Paul filed a bill yesterday that would outlaw the issuing and execution of “no-knock warrants,” one of which led to the killing of Breonna Taylor, an African-American resident of Louisville, Kentucky who was murdered by 3 Louisville officers while she slept in her bed on March 13. No-knock warrants are a brutish tactic straight out of the Soviet Union or Nazi Germany and have no place in a free society in which the presumption of innocence supposedly underpins our justice system.

This, too, must stop.

Two weeks ago, the Minneapolis City Council passed a resolution outlawing the use of choke holds by police officers and mandating that bystanding officers who observe another officer, like Chauvin, engaging in abusive behavior, intervene to stop it. What idiot doesn’t support a reform like that?

Well, ok, don’t answer that question – we all know there are plenty of idiots on all sides of this issue.

The point here is that, yes, most real conservative thinkers know we need significant police reforms in our country and have needed them for a very long time. There is plenty of common ground to be plowed here by people of good intent. The question, of course, is whether enough people of good intent occupy seats in both houses of congress and in state legislatures around the country to get them done. There is no doubt that President Trump would gladly sign a good bill into law, just as he did with the major prison reform bill last year.

As for the rest of us, we all need to stop just knee-jerking to sloganeering like “I back the blue!,” or “the cops are all racists and murderers!” whenever this subject comes up. It hasn’t been many years ago when we almost universally revered what we were in the habit of calling “first responders” because the truth is that 98% of them are good and brave men and women who do the best they can every day to protect the public.

The problem is that the 2% of them who aren’t present a very clear and present danger to our society, as we have conclusively witnessed over the past three weeks. Leaders of police unions need to understand this, and stop agitating for provisions in police contracts that provide bad actors with  cover to keep abusing the public.

As I wrote on Wednesday, our country has spent the last 150 years paying for the abject failure by our society’s leaders to properly execute Reconstruction following the Civil War. We did not have enough people of good intent serving in leadership positions at that time to get the job done.

What America faces today is a very similar situation – we essentially stand on the cusp of a second chance at reconstruction. The first step in that reconstruction must be to enact reforms that ensure black Americans receive the same level of police protection and courtesy received by white citizens. We have a President who has already gotten very significant reforms accomplished in this area, and solid majorities of voters for both major political parties who support further reforms.

The question will now become whether there are enough GOP members of congress like Rand Paul and enough Democrat members willing to buck the constant overreaching and obstructionism of Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer to get major legislation sent to the President’s desk.

There’s no time like the present to find out.

That is all.

Larry Schweikart: How Trump has Re-Shaped the American Electorate

[Note: Larry Schweikart, America’s History Teacher and author/co-author of several best selling books, is a frequent contributor here at The Campaign Update. This morning he posted a terrific thread on Twitter containing an array of insights on current events and the 2020 election dynamics, which I am reproducing here with his permisssion.]

3) How do you know Trump has largely won on both issues? They ain’t in the news.

4) When was the last time you heard about the Wall? DemoKKKrats know they cannot stop it now. They’ve given up even trying. Trump pulled off a master move in funding it through the Pentagon.

5) On trade/outsourcing, Trump proved that, yes, he did have a magic wand and yes some of the jobs did come back & were coming back steadily before China retaliated with the China Virus.

6) But DemoKKKrats know in any kind of “normal” economy, MANY of those jobs will come back.

7) I am convinced this is partly the reason for the heightened Kushner attacks last week. DemoKKKrats are still (unsuccessfully) trying to drive a wedge between the jobs/trade side of MAGA and the immigration side.

8) BTW, where is Menopausal Ann [Coulter] on this? Where is DACA?

9) DemoKKKrats have totally dropped DACA cuz they lost.

10) What is the significance of the illegal slowdown? Of the DACA loss?

11) It has spurred the DemoKKKrats even more to try to find other voters to replace them.

12) DemoKKKrats’ black support is slowly eroding.

13) Just like whites, you will see a MAGA black side (most still will out of safety concerns not say this openly) and a (yes, much larger) BLM side.

14) On the MAGA side will be business owners, middle and aspiring middle class blacks, & blue collar workers.

15) Not surprisingly, while the percentages will be different, the black community will (finally) come to resemble the white community in that you’ll have snowflake BLM/college educated blacks robotized by “higher ed” & you’ll have “practical blacks” who’ve seen the Ds do nothing.

16) There is plenty of poll support for this second group of MAGA blacks to be anywhere from 15-25% of the black electorate, but there is good reason to think there is another skeptical layer that will always just stay home rather than keep voting for liars.

17) As @helloitsthao  [Thao Nguyen] points out, this is creating a “donut” where elements of inner cities & outer ring/rural whites vote MAGA and the inner suburb snowflake Karens vote Whackadoodle Lib.

18) However, in the bigger picture, Trump has totally destroyed the DemoKKKrats’ next 50 years of voter base with sharply curtailing illegals & by attracting “practical black” votes.

19) The DemoKKKrats had to go somewhere.

20) Enter the Snowflake Karens.

21) The dual edged sword of China Virus fear porn & the shaming-on-steroids BLM hate movement have thus far succeeded with that inner ring. Most urban-dwelling college educated now hate Trump (rural do not). This is largely out of fear-shaming by SJWs now joined by the corporates.

22) Oh, here are two Larry Schweikart prophecies: First, the NFL WILL sport some sort of BLM logo on helmets & uniforms this fall. (Your response: “Well, I’ll just watch college football.”) Not so fast. VERY SOON, maybe this year you’ll also see the colleges go full BLM in their sports.

22) contd. Second, the 15% movement, where bidnesses are shamed into saying they will purchase/use suppliers who are black owned by the rate of 15%? Soon BLM will demand 30%. Then 60%. Then 100%. NO. NUMBER. WILL. EVER. BE. ENOUGH.

23) Allow me to quote from “A Patriot’s History of the United States” by Schweikart and Michael Allen: [1960’s radical] Jerry Rubin explainedSatisfy our demands & we go twelve more… All we want from these meetings are demands that are never ‘reasonable’. When the demands reached the point that no rational university administrator [OR, I WOULD ADD TODAY, CITY OR BUSINESS LEADER] or public official could possibly comply with them,’ Rubin noted, “Then we scream, righteously angry . . . . Goals are irrelevant. The tactics, the actions are critical.”

24) Of course, Rubin wasn’t entirely honest. No leftists are. He meant that short-term goals were irrelevant, but the destabilization of society as a long-term objective was entirely relevant.

25) The last people to figure this out are liberals. That’s why in communist society they are the first ones shot and imprisoned. They are sheep, baffled by the fact that the “movement” has turned on them. Conservatives & advocates of freedom fought, ran, or hid for far longer.

26) In conclusion, the NFL, the NBA, the City of Seattle, the City of New York, the City of Chicago et al. are all on borrowed time. There will be “twelve more demands.”

[End]

America is Still Struggling With the Failure of Reconstruction

Given the events that have transpired since its airing a few weeks ago, I’m sure if the producers of the mini-series “Grant” had it to do all over again, they’d have made it 8 hours and 4 episodes in length instead of its 6 hours/3 episodes format. The first two episodes did a fine job of detailing Grant’s up-bringing and early years, his struggles through many failures in life, his rise through the ranks of Union generals, and the start of his successful prosecution of the final campaign of the War through Virginia.

But the final 2-hour episode attempted to cover far too much ground: The final, climactic months of the War; Lee’s surrender at Appomattox; the assassination of Lincoln; Grant’s commission to oversee the failed Reconstruction process; Grant’s two-term presidency and his final days finishing his memoirs while suffering with fatal cancer of the throat. It was far, far too much crucially important ground to try to cover in just two hours, especially with at least nine 5-minute-long commercial breaks sprinkled into the mix.

The last two weeks of demonstrations in the wake of the murder of George Floyd; the demonstrations, riots, looting and burning of a dozen major U.S. cities reminiscent of Sherman’s march through Atlanta to the sea; and the burgeoning national debate that is now taking place over policing and race relations cries out for detailed re-examination not of the Civil War or Grant’s presidency, but of that period of Reconstruction which, had it been properly executed by people of good intent, could have unified the nation and put in place conditions that might have avoided much of the racial strife that followed and continues to this day.

If you search your memories you will realize that no one – not even Ken Burns in his great “The Civil War” documentary – has produced a truly thorough recounting of that terrible time in our nation, and which lays true accountability for the horrors that took place. “Grant” gave it very short shrift, as the producers did everything they could to avoid laying any blame a the feet of the title subject and his often ham-handed management of the process.

The one of hundreds of atrocities the series does go into some detail about is the New Orleans Massacre of July 30, 1866, an event in which a band of former Confederate soldiers slaughtered dozens of freed slaves who were organizing themselves to participate in the upcoming elections. That all happened under the not-so-watchful eye of General William Sherman and a garrison of the Union Army before the Reconstruction Act of 1867 had been passed by congress. “Grant” also makes vague reference to dozens of similar incidents that took place all over the South in the subsequent years, but goes into little detail about them.

It also briefly mentions the rise of the Ku Klux Klan during that period of time, but goes into no detail about the fact that the Klan was actually created by the Democratic Party – which dominated the Southern states – after the 1866 elections, in which the Northern States overwhelmingly awarded control of congress to the Republican Party of Lincoln and Grant. Just as the Democrat Party created Antifa immediately following the 2016 elections, in which the northern states of PA, MI and WI turned Red and awarded the presidency and both houses of congress to the Republicans. There is a pattern to all of this.

Here we stumble right upon the very real reason why Hollywood has been so reluctant to fully explore the period of Reconstruction in documentary format: It is impossible to honestly do so without making the crystal clear, direct connection between the Klan and the Democrat Party. Indeed, it was the rise of the Klan as the military wing of the Democrat Party that rendered Grant’s assignment of executing on the Reconstruction laws an impossible mission. It was too deeply embedded in the Southern culture to be rooted out. The series makes passing mention of the fact that supposed pillars of these communities – doctors, lawyers, farmers and civic leaders – were all engaged with the Klan.

Sadly, that remained the reality in many cities and towns all over the South for well over a century. Indeed, as recently as just 2010 – a bare decade ago – a former member of the Klan – Democrat Robert Byrd of West Virginia – held a prominent position of leadership in the United States Senate. Other former Klan members with names like Strom Thurmond, Jesse Helms, William Fulbright, and Ernest Hollings held seats in the Senate in modern times, long after the passage of the Civil Rights bills in the mid-1960s.

Even sadder, the existence today of Antifa as the military wing of the Democrat Party will just as readily ensure that no real reconciliation will come from the debate currently raging in Washington and across our national news media. The simple reality is that those on the radical left who have basically seized control of that Party actively oppose reconciliation and seek violent revolution instead.

Congress may pass a few bills and pat itself on the back for doing it, but the real battles are taking place right now in the radical city council of Minneapolis, which is about to disband its police department, and on Capitol Hill in Seattle, where Antifa has forcibly seized control of an 8 square block area, with armed guards preventing the police from entering the area.

Just as we will never receive an honest accounting of the role of the Ku Klux Klan’s destruction of Reconstruction, we will not receive an honest accounting of Antifa from our national news media, which is working to destroy our nation from within today. Because an honest accounting of either requires the examination of the fact that both destructive groups were the creation of the national Democrat Party, and no one in Hollywood or the Democrat-controlled news media can afford to go there.

That is all.

Tuesday News Roundup: Pelosi’s $10.99 Cultural Appropriation and Romney’s Bridge to Nowhere

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

So, what was this really all about?

Image

Do any of you think that every Democrat member of congress just keeps a Kente cloth garment lying around the office to pull out on special occasions? Or is it more likely that maybe last Wednesday, at a meeting during which they were planning how to milk maximum political leverage out of this carefully-choreographed George Floyd funeral tour, some enterprising staffer found this on Amazon:

Image

So, you order 50 of those, and presto! Even Gerrold Nadler can have his very own Kente cloth scarf, all for the cost of about $550.

Do you think there is a single person among that group of congressional Democrats who has the slightest understanding of the origins of the Kente cloth, or what its meaning is? Because, to very real human beings in Ghana, which served as one of the central staging points for the African slave trade centuries ago, those cloths and their patterns do have very special meaning.

They aren’t some costume for cynical politicians to wear to Halloween parties, not some modern-day version of the blackface get-up worn by the Ralph Northams and Justin Trudeaus in their younger days. Do you suppose that Nancy Pelosi or Gerrold Nadler or a single one of their Democrat colleagues gave any of that a moment of thought as they dressed up for their moment of disgraceful cultural appropriation? If you do, you’re a fool.

When asked at her press conference if she thought maybe she and her colleagues were using the garments to pander to Black voters, Pelosi just smiled and asked, “Well, is it working?” What else do you need to know?

Incidentially, Pelosi’s is a good question, one to which I really don’t think we know the answer yet. It’s a long time until November, folks.

Does he keep notebooks full of black people, too? – Then there’s pathetic RINO Mitt Romney, who spent about 30 seconds interfering in a Black Lives Matter march on Sunday to get his own photo op:

Tremendous Sincerity': Trump Mocks Mitt Romney for Joining Black ...

In a report at The Hill today, Romney, the most whitebread white guy in the entire U.S. Senate, says that he wants to be the catalyst who forces change in the GOP’s relationship with the Black community:

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) on Monday said his party has “an embarrassingly small share of African American votes” and would like to change that, one day after he marched in a protest in Washington.

Romney said he is working with several Republican colleagues on legislation to “make some changes to the way we do our policing” in an effort to crack down on aberrant officers who violate civil rights or use excessive force against people of certain races.

He noted that Democrats who unveiled a police reform bill earlier Monday did not reach out to any Republicans to discuss the legislation beforehand.

He said the lack of outreach indicates it “is designed to be a message piece.”

He said he hopes to put together what ultimately will be bipartisan legislation to reform policing that can pass the Senate.

He said any legislation “needs to have people on both sides of the aisle working together.”

[End]

Let’s just all ignore the fact that President Donald Trump has, at urging of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, already stolen much of the thunder from any congressional deal on this with his signing of prison reform legislation last year. That prison reform bill, by the way, repealed several of the provisions targeting young Black males contained in the 1994 crime bill signed by Bill Clinton – and co-sponsored by Creepy Uncle Quid Pro Farty China Joe Biden.

Yeah, let’s ignore all of that because Mitt freakin’ Romney thinks he’s going to be the guy who bridges the gap between the GOP and the African American community.

*sigh*

Dear Republicans: With a bridge like Mitt Romney, you might as well have a bridge to nowhere.

Donald Trump No GIF by Election 2016 - Find & Share on GIPHY

Democrats hate Jewish people, part 62,532. – New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and his NYPD have looked the other way as tens of thousands of protesters, rioters, looters and arsonists have turned much of New York City into Dresden circa 1945 for the past two weeks, never saying word one about social distancing or wearing masks.

But boy, let a group of maybe a dozen Hasidic Jewish kids who are at zero risk of getting or spreading the Wuhan Virus congregate together in a local park, and this is what happens:

Disgusting hypocrisy and Antisemitism on display.

The first leak in the Minneapolis dam. – A manufacturing company that employed 50 Minnesotans says it will move elsewhere after city officials refused to do anything to prevent its facility from burning to the ground week before last. Kris Wyrobek, President and owner of 7-Sigma, Inc. told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that “we are sorting through the rubble, trying to figure out how to get this operational again. We are cautiously optimistic we can do that. But we are certainly not able to do that in Minneapolis.”

From the Tribune report:

“They don’t care about my business,” said Kris Wyrobek, president and owner of 7-Sigma Inc., which has operated since 1987 at 2843 26th Av. in south Minneapolis. “They didn’t protect our people. We were all on our own.”

Wyrobek said the plant, which usually operates until 11 p.m., shut down about four hours early on the first night of the riots because he wanted to keep his workers out of harm’s way. He said a production supervisor and a maintenance worker who live in the neighborhood became alarmed when fire broke out at the $30 million Midtown Corner affordable housing apartment complex that was under construction next door.

“The fire engine was just sitting there,” Wyrobek said, “but they wouldn’t do anything.”

[End]

Wyrobek said the decision to relocate from the radical leftist Democrat-run city has already been made and that there is nothing feckless Mayor Jacob Frey could say that would change his mind. Expect hundreds of other Minneapolis business owners to turn this first leak in the dam into a raging flood in the days and weeks to come.

That is all.

Pelosi, Fellow Dems Prove that Cultural Appropriation is Not a Thing Anymore

The Mid-Day Campaign Update

There comes that “T” word again. – Democrats in congress unveiled their own plan for de-funding the nation’s police departments, couching the plan to create societal chaos all across the nation in the warm and fuzzy language they always use to surround their plans to bring creeping Soviet-style communism to America. Check out this video clip:

There’s that word again: Transform. It was Obama’s code for implementing communism used throughout his 2008 presidential campaign, and it has been repeatedly used by Democrats and their corrupt media toadies ever since.

The Democrat plan is to “transform” local police departments in the very same way that they “transformed” the public schools over the past 40 years: By eliminating excellence and dumbing them down to the lowest common denominator.

You don’t have to believe me: All you have to do is listen closely to what they say themselves. Here, for example, is Minneapolis city council member Lisa Bender this morning on CNN:

“Yes, I hear that loud and clear from a lot of my neighbors. And I know — and myself, too, and I know that that comes from a place of privilege.”

Did you catch that? The basis for deconstructing and de-funding local police departments is that the expectation of excellent community policing comes from a place of “white privilege.” Now, any sane and rational and patriotic American who actually cares about this country would attempt to address any inequality in community policing by raising the standards in the neighborhoods who are currently being under-served.

But not the Democrats – oh, no. That is just not the Democrat way, after all, thanks to their allegiance to the teachings of Karl Marx and Saul Alinsky.

No, the Democrat approach is to instead implement policies designed to ensure that literally no part of their communities are in any way safe or secure – thus, making all parts of the community equally awful. It’s all about demonic notions of “fairness” and “equality.”

See how that works?

By the way, that CNN clip is a tailor-made 30-second ad for this Fall’s Trump Campaign. I wouldn’t be surprised if they had an ad up using it by the end of today.

Hey, I’m old enough to remember when the social media outrage mob would have called this “cultural appropriation.”

A bunch of privileged, mostly-white members of congress, most of whom have never set foot in Ghana – where the kente cloth garments they are wearing orginated – taking a knee for 8 minutes and 46 seconds to “honor” George Floyd, a man who also never set foot in Ghana.

So, “cultural appropriation” is obviously not a thing anymore in the wake of the past 2 weeks of demonstrations and looting and burning and rioting. You know, kind of like that whole “social distancing” deal that was all the liberal rage 15 days ago.

By the way, all those members of congress taking the knee? They all live behind walls in high-end communities, have security details and are driven to and from work in limousines. So, if you think that anything they’re planning on doing to you and your communities will have the slightest impact on their personal lives, well, think again.

That is all.

Dear America: Don’t Comply With A Lie

Guest Piece by Karen Kataline

The ides of March took us lurching toward tyranny with an obscene level of attempted government control over our lives, our businesses and even our personal relationships. The pretext for it all was a virus with a .4% fatality rate. as reported by the flawed CDC.

That statistic doesn’t reflect any of the widely reported pressure and financial incentives that were used to inflate the statistics and ramp up public fear. Medical professionals who have been elected to absolutely nothing still can’t agree on whether wearing masks in public is recommended let alone ought to be required. But most people continue to comply.

It’s not as though we aren’t already aware of how much Leftist politicians and un-elected bureaucrats have wanted to grow their own power in the form of growing government. Their policies have illustrated this repeatedly. The likelihood of any government official advocating or voting to relinquish their own power is like a highway toll with an expiration date. Both are as rare as hens teeth.

Then came the riots. The very same political “leaders” who demanded that we stay at home “for our own good”, incited and cheered massive protests that led to violence, destruction and even death.

Didn’t that once and for all, expose the farce of their lock downs, the cynical lie of their “concern and compassion” for the lives of law-abiding citizens, their property and the rule of law? They remain naked emperors, espousing the same false coronavirus narrative so they can continue to micromanage restaurants and all other public places. Yet, most people continue to comply.

What reasonable person still takes these demogogues and dictators seriously after the swarming crowds and wanton destruction of numerous once-great American cities–all of which are controlled by Democrats?

Despite the obvious fallacies and frauds of the coronavirus narrative, its subliminal seduction is still piped in to us from grocery store speakers, highway billboards and TV commercials. “Stay safe, Stay Home, Save a life!” -and most people continue to comply.

Even conservative people and conservative groups claim that they are somehow showing “respect” by wearing masks and accepting governmental control of their gatherings. How is it respectful to bow to what you know is a lie? Taking the path of least resistance today will lead to being prevented from resisting at all in the future.

Acquiescence to unconstitutional laws emboldens those in power. Think of it as the “Broken Windows Theory” in reverse. When citizens offer no push back and demand no accountability of lawless lawmakers, we can count on those lawmakers to impose even more severe and lawless laws in the future–and that’s precisely what they’ve done.

Why? Because most people continue to comply.

The Evening Wrap: William Barr Schools Margaret Brennan

In case you missed it, Attorney General William Barr appeared on Face the Nation on Sunday. Corrupt propagandist Margaret Brennan conducted the interview, and as she always does, faithfully did her best to spread the lies mandated within the construct of the current Democrat/media narrative. General Barr was having none of it, and  systematically swatted the lies away, point by point.

Say what you will about Mr. Barr, but he is damn good in an adversarial interview like this one. Here is the transcript of the interview:

BRENNAN: Earlier this morning I went to the Justice Department to speak with Attorney General Bill Barr. In his role as the nation’s top law enforcement officer, he used the full force of the federal government, including agents from the FBI, ATF, Border Patrol, Bureau of Prisons and the Drug Enforcement Administration to assist the National Guard and local police in an effort to end the violence and looting that happened earlier in the week in Washington. Sixteen hundred active-duty troops were also put on standby.

BRENNAN: A senior administration official told our CBS’ David Martin, that in a meeting at the White House on Monday morning, the President demanded that ten thousand active-duty troops be ordered into American streets. Is that accurate?

BARR: No, that’s completely false. That’s completely false. Sunday night–

BRENNAN: The President did not demand that?

BARR: No, he did not demand that.

BRENNAN: What happened?

BARR: I came over on– on Monday morning for a meeting. The night before had been the most violent, as one of the police officials told us, the DC police, it was the most violent day in Washington in thirty years, something that the media has not done a very good job of covering. And there had been a– a riot right along Lafayette Park. I was called over and asked if I would coordinate federal civil agencies and that the Defense Department would provide whatever support I needed or we needed to protect federal property federal– at the White House, federal personnel. The decision was made to have at the ready and on hand in the vicinity some regular troops. But everyone agreed that the use of regular troops as a last resort and that as long as matters can be controlled with other resources, they should be. I felt, and the Secretary of Defense felt, we had adequate resources and wouldn’t need to use federal troops. But in case we did we wanted them nearby.

BRENNAN: So what–

BARR: There was never– the President never asked or suggested that we needed to deploy regular troops at that point. It’s been done from time to time in our history. We try to avoid it and I’m happy that we were able to avoid it on this occasion.

BRENNAN: So there were active duty troops put on standby. They were not deployed. The 82nd Airborne was put on standby–

BARR: So the–

BRENNAN: –but not sent into the streets.

BARR: Some 82nd Airborne military police [NOT the 82nd Airborne division, as Brennan dishonestly implied] were brought into the area. But they were not brought into DC.

BRENNAN: Right. So what part– I just want to make sure that we’re precise here, what part of that conversation, as it’s been relayed to CBS and to other news organizations, is false? Did the President not demand active duty troops? Did–

BARR: Well, your question to me just a moment ago was, did he demand them on the streets, did he demand them in DC? No, we had them on standby in case they were needed.

BRENNAN: Right. Which they were put on standby. They were not deployed.

BARR: Right.

BRENNAN: So in our reporting, we were also told that you, the Defense Secretary Mark Esper, and General Milley, all opposed the idea of actually deploying these active-duty troops onto the streets. Is that accurate?

BARR: I think our position was common, which was that they should only be– be deployed if– as a last resort and that we didn’t think we would need them. Every– I think everyone was on the same page.

BRENNAN: Do you think that the President has the authority to unilaterally send in active-duty troops if the governors oppose it?

BARR: Oh, absolutely. The– under the anti-Insurrection Act, the– the President can use regular troops to suppress rioting. The Confederate– the Confederacy in our country opposed the use of federal troops to restore order and suppress an insurrection. So the federal government sometimes doesn’t listen to governors in certain circumstances.

BRENNAN: The last time that this has happened was the L.A. riots in 1992 when the governor of California asked for active-duty troops.

BARR: That’s correct.

BRENNAN: You’re saying your understanding and the law, as you interpret it and would support is that the President has the ability to put active-duty troops on American streets, even if governors object?

BARR: It’s happened numerous times. And the answer to that is yes.

BRENNAN: You would support that?

BARR: Well, it depends on the circumstances. I was involved in the L.A. riots and the Rodney King matter. We tried to use non-military forces. I sent two thousand federal law enforcement officers out there in one day, but it was overwhelming. And the National Guard couldn’t handle it and Governor Pete Wilson asked for federal troops.

BRENNAN: And he asked for them.

BARR: Yes.

BRENNAN: That’s a key distinction.

BARR: Or he approved the use of federal troops, but those troops were on standby as well.

BRENNAN: Because I think a number of people would be surprised to hear and it’s been reported that you opposed sending in active duty troops on principle. You’re saying you would support it?

BARR: As a last resort.

BRENNAN: So in this Monday meeting with the President, when the Defense Secretary, who has now publicly said that he opposed using the Insurrection Act, you said what to the President?

BARR: I don’t think the Secretary of Defense said he opposed it. I think he said that it was a last resort; he didn’t think it was necessary. I think we all agree that it’s a last resort, but it’s, ultimately, the President’s decision. The– the reporting is completely false on this.

BRENNAN: Do you believe there is systemic racism in law enforcement?

BARR: I think there’s racism in the United States still but I don’t think that the law enforcement system is systemically racist. I understand the– the distrust, however, of the African-American community given the history in this country. I think we have to recognize that for most of our history, our institutions were explicitly racist. Since the 1960s, I think we’ve been in a phase of reforming our institutions and making sure that they’re in sync with our laws and aren’t fighting a rearguard action to impose inequities.

BRENNAN: And you think that’s working?

BARR: I think– I think the reform is a difficult task, but I think it is working and progress has been made. I think one of the best examples is the military. The military used to be explicitly racist institution. And now I think it’s in the vanguard of– of bringing the races together and providing equal opportunity. I think law enforcement has been going through the same process.

BRENNAN: Do you think there should be some tweaking of the rules, reduced immunity to go after some of the bad cops?

BARR: I don’t think you need to reduce immunity to– to go after the bad cops, because that would result certainly in– in police pulling back. It’s, you know, policing is the toughest job in the country. And I– and I, frankly, think that we have generally the vast, overwhelming majority of police are good people. They’re civic-minded people who believe in serving the public. They do so bravely. They do so righteously.

BRENNAN: But the bad cops.

BARR: I– I think that there are instances of bad cops. And I think we have to be careful about automatically assuming that the actions of an individual necessarily mean that their organization is rotten. All organizations have people who engage in misconduct, and you sometimes have to be careful as to when you ascribe that to the whole organization and when it really is some errant member who isn’t following the rules.

BRENNAN: But doesn’t the opening the pattern-or-practice investigation into a place like Minneapolis where there are questions about the broader issues with policing, it wasn’t just the one officer, wouldn’t that answer that question?

BARR: Well, that’s exactly the reaction that I think has been a problem in the past, which is it just, again, just reacting to this incident by immediately putting the department under investigation doesn’t necessarily result in– in improving the situation. But I would say that in the first instance, the governor has announced an investigation of the police department. The governor, Governor Walz, a Democratic governor, is investigating the police department. The attorney general of– of Minnesota is looking into the police department. We stand ready to act if we think it’s necessary. But I don’t think necessarily starting a– a pattern-or-practice investigation at this stage is warranted. Another thing is we have to look at some of the evidence. I mean, people, you know, the fact is that the criminal justice system at both the state and the federal level moved instantaneously on this. And we moved quickly with our investigation. But we still have to look into what kind of use of force policies are used in that department, what the training has been and things like that. That’s not something we can do overnight.

BRENNAN: I want to ask you about some of the events of the week. On Monday, Lafayette Park was cleared of protesters. You’ve spoken about this. The federal agents who were there report up to you. Did you think it was appropriate for them to use smoke bombs, tear gas, pepper balls, projectiles at what appeared to be peaceful protesters?

BARR: They were not peaceful protesters. And that’s one of the big lies that the– the media is– seems to be perpetuating at this point.

BRENNAN: Three of my CBS colleagues were there. We talked to them.

BARR: Yeah.

BRENNAN: They did not hear warnings. They did not see protesters–

BARR: There were three warnings.

BRENNAN: –throwing anything.

BARR: There were three warnings given. But– but let’s get back to why we took that action. On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, okay, there were violent riots in– at Lafayette Park where the park police were under constant attack at the– behind their bike rack fences. On Sunday, things reached a crescendo. The officers were pummeled with bricks. Crowbars were used to pry up the pavers at the park and they were hurled at police. There were fires set in not only St. John’s Church, but a historic building at Lafayette was burned down.

BRENNAN: These were things that looters did. [Note the effort to pretend that the looters were not a big part of the protest itself.]

BARR: Not looters, these were– these were the– the violent rioters who were dominated Lafayette Park.

BRENNAN: But what I’m asking about–

BARR: They broke into the Treasury Department-

BRENNAN: –on Monday when it was a peaceful protest.

BARR: I’m going to– let me– let me get to this, because this has been totally obscured by the media. They broke into the Treasury Department, and they were injuring police. That night–

BRENNAN: Sunday night?

BARR: Sunday night, the park police prepared a plan to clear H Street and put a– a larger perimeter around the White House so they could build a more permanent fence on Lafayette.

BRENNAN: This is something you approved on Sunday night?

BARR: No. The Park Police on their own on– on Sunday night determined this was the proper approach. When I came in Monday, it was clear to me that we did have to increase the perimeter on that side of Lafayette Park and push it out one block. That decision was made by me in the morning. It was communicated to all the police agencies, including the Metropolitan Police at 2:00 PM that day. The– the effort was to move the perimeter one block and it had to be done when we had enough people in place to achieve that. And that decision, as I say, was communicated to the police at 2:00 PM. The operation was run by the Park Police.

BRENNAN: Mm-Hm.

BARR: The Park Police was facing what they considered to be a very rowdy and a non-compliant crowd. And there were projectiles being hurled at the police. And at that point, it was not to respond–

BRENNAN: On Monday, you’re saying there were projectiles–

BARR: On Monday, yes, there were.

BRENNAN: As I’m saying, three of my colleagues were there.

BARR: Yeah.

BRENNAN: They did not see projectiles being thrown–

BARR: I was there.

BRENNAN: –when that happened.

BARR: I was there. They were thrown. I saw them thrown.

BRENNAN: And you believe that what the Park Police did using tear gas and projectiles was appropriate?

BARR: Here’s– here’s what the media is missing. This was not an operation to respond to that particular crowd. It was an operation to move the perimeter one block.

BRENNAN: And the methods they used you think were appropriate, is that what you’re saying?

BARR: When they met resistance, yes. They announced three times. They didn’t move. By the way, there was no tear gas used. The tear gas was used Sunday when they had to clear H Street to allow the fire department to come in to save St. John’s Church. That’s when tear gas was used.

BRENNAN: There were chemical irritants the Park Police has said–

BARR: No, they were not chemical irritants. Pepper spray is not a chemical irritant. It’s not chemical.

BRENNAN: Pepper spray, you’re saying is what was used–

BARR: Pepper balls. Pepper balls.

BRENNAN: Right, and you believe that was appropriate. What I want to show you is what a lot of people at home who were watching this on television saw and their perception of events. I want you to see what the public at home saw.

BRENNAN: So while the President is saying that he appreciates peaceful protest, around the same time, this crowd–

BARR: Well, six minutes– six minutes difference there I would say.

BRENNAN: Right, around the same time the area is being cleared of what appear to be peaceful protesters using some force. And after the speech is finished, the President then walked out of the White House to the same area where the protesters had been and stands for photo op in front of the church where the protesters had been. These events look very connected to people at home. In an environment where the broader debate is about heavy-handed use of force and law enforcement, was that the right message for Americans to be receiving?

BARR: Well, the message is sometimes communicated by the media. I didn’t see any video being played on the media of what was happening Friday, Saturday, and Sunday–

BRENNAN: But– but this confluence of events–

BARR: All I heard– all I heard was comments about how peaceful protesters were. I didn’t hear about the fact that there were hundred and fifty law enforcement officers injured and many taken to the hospital with concussions. So it wasn’t a peaceful protest. We had to get control over Lafayette Park, and we had to do it as soon as we were able to do that.

BRENNAN: So you understand how these events appear connected? The timing of this–

BARR: Well, it’s the job of the media to tell the truth. They were not connected.

BRENNAN: Well, this is what I’m asking you. Did you know when you gave the green light for these actions to be taken that the President was going to be going in that very same area for a photo op?

BARR: I gave the green light at two o’clock. Obviously, I didn’t know that the President was going to be speaking later that day.

BRENNAN: You had no idea?

BARR: No. No, I did not.

BRENNAN: Do you see–

BARR: The go ahead was given at two o’clock. And to do it as soon as we were able to do it, to move the perimeter from– from H Street to I Street.

BRENNAN: We’re both Catholic. I know you’re observant. You’re a devout Catholic. Archbishop Gregory of Washington condemned what happened by gassing peaceful protesters.

BARR: There– there was no gas.

BRENNAN: Is– is doing– is what we saw there doing what you meant when you were on that call with governors and you said to dominate the streets?

BARR: Mm-Hm.

BRENNAN: Is that what law enforcement is supposed to be taking away from this?

BARR: No, on the contrary. My point to the governors and what I was saying was that it’s important when you’re dealing with civil disturbances to have adequate forces at hand and out.

Sunday News Roundup: De-Fund the FBI, Frey gets Fried, and an Archbishop’s Message

Wait. This is our national A-team? – If you have watched any of the various FBI-themed TV shows in recent years, the image you see depicted is one of fit, drop-dead gorgeous and handsome young women and men with flowing locks, expensive tailored clothes, quick draws and no-nonsense personas who always get the bad guy in any situation. It is an image that the FBI itself has carefully nurtured over the decades – they’re brave, they’re heroic, they’re keen investigators who always get their man.

Revelations over the past several years of utter FBI ineptitude at stopping the acts of domestic terrorists they were fully aware of and were monitoring have destroyed the notion that the agency always gets its man. Revelations of the agency’s role in the still-growing Obamagate scandal shattered its image as an agency dedicated to anything resembling truth or justice. Over the past 24 hours, since photos of an entire squad of FBI agents taking a knee to Black Lives Matter protesters in Washington DC emerged, we now know beyond all doubt that the agency’s preferred visual image is completely false. What we see instead is this:

… a rag-tag group of ordinary, not particularly attractive boys and girls, many of whom have obviously spent too much time at the dessert station on the FBI buffet.

Like the parade of corrupt FBI directors we have been treated to throughout the agency’s entire history, any group of law enforcement officers who would bow before  a crowd that is almost certainly infiltrated with domestic terrorists is motivated not by any sense of justice and upholding the law, but rather by politics.

There is no question that reforms in the way our police departments and agencies work need to be implemented. Anyone who knows anything about the history of utterly corrupt police departments in many major cities – like Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, New Orleans, Detroit and St. Louis – understands that corruption and racial abuse in those departments has run rampant for many decades.

We have seen many calls to “de-fund” the police in recent days, a crazy notion that would leave millions of Americans helpless at the hands of criminal gangs. That “de-fund” effort of course targets local police departments, mainly in big, Democrat-run cities. But there are far more good cops than bad cops, and those good cops are vital to the lives and livelihoods of law-abiding people who live in crime-ridden neighborhoods.

However, there is one law enforcement agency that literally cries out today to be completely de-funded and rebuilt from the ground up under new leadership. That is the agency led today by a worthless, feckless and corrupt bureaucrat named Christopher Wray, the one that took a knee to domestic terrorists this weekend.

You want to “de-fund the police”? Start at the top.

Speaking of worthless and feckless bureaucrats… – Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey engaged in his own genuflecting to domestic terrorists scene on Saturday, thinking he’d be applauded for it. It didn’t quite work out that way for him:

It’s like Cerci Lannister’s walk of shame on Game of Thrones, only he thankfully remained fully clothed.

This guy is like Justin Trudeau’s less-attractive, less-effective little brother.

But you still can’t go to church. – These scenes happened all over the country, proving once and for all that the entire concept of “social distancing” is a bad joke that has no meaning:

And yes, even in Vegas:

All of these scenes and many more demonstrate conclusively that Americans are simply over the whole “social distancing” nonsense. Democrat mayors and governors who just 12 days ago were intent on keeping their cities and states locked down through Election Day on November 3 are going to have a real hard time putting this genie back in their political bottles.

News you won’t see reported on CNN or MSNBC. – On this Sunday, I will leave you with this powerful message, a letter written to President Donald Trump by archbishop Carlo Vigano, who clearly sees the true nature of the motivations behind the global protests we are now seeing. The letter is very long and can be read in full at this link.

Here is a key excerpt for those of you who are in a hurry:

In society, Mr. President, these two opposing realities co-exist as eternal enemies, just as God and Satan are eternal enemies. And it appears that the children of darkness – whom we may easily identify with the deep state which you wisely oppose and which is fiercely waging war against you in these days – have decided to show their cards, so to speak, by now revealing their plans. They seem to be so certain of already having everything under control that they have laid aside that circumspection that until now had at least partially concealed their true intentions. The investigations already under way will reveal the true responsibility of those who managed the Covid emergency not only in the area of health care but also in politics, the economy, and the media. We will probably find that in this colossal operation of social engineering there are people who have decided the fate of humanity, arrogating to themselves the right to act against the will of citizens and their representatives in the governments of nations.

We will also discover that the riots in these days were provoked by those who, seeing that the virus is inevitably fading and that the social alarm of the pandemic is waning, necessarily have had to provoke civil disturbances, because they would be followed by repression which, although legitimate, could be condemned as an unjustified aggression against the population. The same thing is also happening in Europe, in perfect synchrony. It is quite clear that the use of street protests is instrumental to the purposes of those who would like to see someone elected in the upcoming presidential elections who embodies the goals of the deep state and who expresses those goals faithfully and with conviction. It will not be surprising if, in a few months, we learn once again that hidden behind these acts of vandalism and violence there are those who hope to profit from the dissolution of the social order so as to build a world without freedom: Solve et Coagula, as the Masonic adage teaches.

For the first time, the United States has in you a President who courageously defends the right to life, who is not ashamed to denounce the persecution of Christians throughout the world, who speaks of Jesus Christ and the right of citizens to freedom of worship. Your participation in the March for Life, and more recently your proclamation of the month of April as National Child Abuse Prevention Month, are actions that confirm which side you wish to fight on. And I dare to believe that both of us are on the same side in this battle, albeit with different weapons.

For this reason, I believe that the attack to which you were subjected after your visit to the National Shrine of Saint John Paul II is part of the orchestrated media narrative which seeks not to fight racism and bring social order, but to aggravate dispositions; not to bring justice, but to legitimize violence and crime; not to serve the truth, but to favor one political faction. And it is disconcerting that there are Bishops – such as those whom I recently denounced – who, by their words, prove that they are aligned on the opposing side. They are subservient to the deep state, to globalism, to aligned thought, to the New World Order which they invoke ever more frequently in the name of a universal brotherhood which has nothing Christian about it, but which evokes the Masonic ideals of those want to dominate the world by driving God out of the courts, out of schools, out of families, and perhaps even out of churches.

The American people are mature and have now understood how much the mainstream media does not want to spread the truth but seeks to silence and distort it, spreading the lie that is useful for the purposes of their masters. However, it is important that the good – who are the majority – wake up from their sluggishness and do not accept being deceived by a minority of dishonest people with unavowable purposes. It is necessary that the good, the children of light, come together and make their voices heard. What more effective way is there to do this, Mr. President, than by prayer, asking the Lord to protect you, the United States, and all of humanity from this enormous attack of the Enemy? Before the power of prayer, the deceptions of the children of darkness will collapse, their plots will be revealed, their betrayal will be shown, their frightening power will end in nothing, brought to light and exposed for what it is: an infernal deception.

Lightfoot to Wal-Mart: Please Stay so we can do it to you all Over Again in November

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Oh, to be a fly on the wall for this call. – Chicago’s radical Mayor Lori Lightweight, er, Lightfoot refused to allow her police department to effectively put down the mass riots that have taken place in her city over the past 11 days. She also refused to activate the National Guard to provide assistance to the police department before the rioting had done hundreds of millions of dollars in damage and resulted in multiple deaths, over and above the 50-60 murders that take place in her city every month.

Lightfoot and her city council are, to put it simply, active enemies of the people in Chicago, and as such, they are active enemies of the businesses who serve those people. They are radical leftists who care nothing about people’s lives and livelihoods, and everything about obtaining and wielding political power for their own personal gain. That is who and what they are.

So it was that she had a pretty tough story to tell when she held a conference call on Friday with leaders of Wal-Mart and other big retailers whose stores she personally allowed to be looted, vandalized and destroyed in the days since the death of George Floyd. The worthless, subversive Mayor admitted that she “pleaded” with these business leaders not to abandon Chicago. One can only wonder what her messages of assurance might have been, especially to Wal-Mart, which reportedly lost 7 stores to Lightfoot’s own mismanagement.

After the past 11 days, there of course can be no rational business case to be made for Wal-Mart or any other business with the means to get out to remain in Chicago, given that the city’s government has obviously abandoned all pretense of doing anything real to provide civic security. But of course, most of those businesses will reopen, no doubt based on false assurances from Lightfoot, only to see it happen all over again in November after President Donald Trump wins his re-election.

Because that’s coming, and it’s coming in a very big way.

Back in 2018, as the Democrat Party was actively fomenting and staging “abolish ICE” riots in Los Angeles and other Democrat-controlled cities, I wrote about America’s new reality, which is the fact that one of our two major political parties now sees rioting, looting and burning cities as just another tool of politics. Of course, that Party has trended in that direction since the 1960’s, but in modern times its leaders have become quite open and frank about it.

Think about it: Over the past week we have seen the spectacle of Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren and Nancy Pelosi participating in the violent demonstrations in front of the White House in which more than 60 Secret Service agents have been injured. We have had the abject refusal by Democrat mayors all over the country to allow their police departments to protect the citizenry and quell the riots. We have seen the mayor of Washington, DC endorse the riots by painting “Black Lives Matter” – the name of one of the domestic terrorist groups who have fomented and conducted the riots – on a two block stretch of 17th Street near the White House.

Even more telling is what we have not heard from Democrat leaders. We have not heard a single one of them condemn the rioting. We have not heard a single one of them disavow their support for Antifa and Black Lives Matter. We have not heard a single one of them say a word about the tragic deaths of a dozen or more black lives, including retired Police Captain David Dorn in St. Louis, as a result of these riots.

Any astute business leader at Wal-Mart or any of the other major retailers who saw their shops destroyed by these Democrat-sponsored riots would summarily reject any appeal from Lightfoot to stick around and go through it all again in a few months. But they will all no doubt accede to her pleas, due mainly to political pressure, even as their insurance and paid security costs skyrocket, and the flight out of the city by most sane people dramatically reduces their customer base in the months and years to come.

Because Democrats destroy everything they touch, and if you’re doing business in Chicago, they’re touching you in a very big way.

That is all.

Friday News Roundup: Musk Shames Bezos, Whitmer Shames Herself and de Blasio is Just a Giant Shame

Elon Musk confronts Jeff Bezos: Bezos blinks. – Alex Berenson is a former New York Times reporter who has done yeoman’s work on Twitter exposing all the massive false information that has been spread about the Wuhan Virus by the government and the corrupt news media. His information has been quoted here many times over the past few months.

Berenson has just published a new book exposing these merchants of disinformation, titled “Unreported Truths About COVID-19 and Lockdowns”:

Early yesterday, Amazon blocked Berenson’s book from being marketed on its site, citing non-existent “standards” that it does not apply anywhere else. Basically, Berenson was being blocked because his book does not conform to the propaganda being pushed by China and the WHO.

Berenson complained about it on Twitter, where Musk has obviously been following him. Musk responded by tweeting, “This is insane, @JeffBezos,” and “Time to break up @Amazon. Monopolies are wrong!”

Within a few hours, Amazon suddenly restored Berenson’s book to its platform, and a spokesman lamely explained that it had been block due to an “error.” Yeah, sure.

Generalissimo Gretchen Whitmer again violates her own edicts. – Gretchen Whitmer, the aspiring banana republic dictator and barber-hater who currently serves as Governor in Michigan, has apparently decided that all of her stay-at-home and social distancing nonsense is completely optional.

On Thursday, she made that clear by doing this:

So, if you’re a protester or a looter or a rioter in Michigan, hey, no worries about all that social distancing and staying-at-home stuff! Frau Gretchen was just kidding.

He’s gone full AOC. Not a good look, Joe. – Joe Biden told a group of climate alarmists yesterday that he’s going all-in on the Green New Deal as a means of not just saving the earth, but also to solve all the problems of racial injustice.

No, I’m not kidding. From a report at the Washington Examiner:

In a virtual fundraiser on Thursday afternoon hosted by Climate Leaders for Biden, the former vice president and Democratic presidential candidate said addressing climate change is urgent “not just to stop the earth from warming, but to address the environmental injustices that have left so many low-income people and people of color more vulnerable to the coronavirus, to asthma and other respiratory problems, the effects of pollution,” according to a pool report.

Biden also touched on mass unemployment due to coronavirus pandemic lockdowns, saying that “creating millions, over 10 million good-paying jobs” while investing in clean energy is “an enormous opportunity to rebuild the backbone of this country.”

Addressing “a stimulus to create clean energy jobs that will spur the economic recovery,” Biden said that, “I think that we’re on our way, and we can be on our way to a significant economic recovery, not just to build back but to build back better. Building back what we had before this crisis is not enough.”

“Invest in jobs and the technology of the future,” Biden said. “The clean energy infrastructure is at the very top of the list.”

[End]

This is all Church of Climate Change dogma straight out of the Green New Deal, a collection of mindless shibboleths that have no basis in reality. But hey, Biden himself is out of touch with reality most days, so what else would we expect from him?

He’s under-shooting here. – Biden created a media kerfuffle for himself on Thursday at another event at which he was speaking to minority supporters. From a New York Times Report:

Former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. told a group of black supporters on Thursday night that most Americans were good people who think the nation can be improved, while also declaring that “there are probably anywhere from 10 to 15 percent of the people out there that are just not very good people.”

Mr. Biden offered his estimate during remarks in which he spoke about the importance of a president setting a positive example for the nation on racial issues. He accused President Trump of dividing the country while pledging that, as president, he would not.

“The words a president says matter, so when a president stands up and divides people all the time, you’re going to get the worst of us to come out,” Mr. Biden said during the discussion, which was moderated by the actor Don Cheadle.

“Do we really think this is as good as we can be as a nation? I don’t think the vast majority of people think that,” the former vice president said. “There are probably anywhere from 10 to 15 percent of the people out there that are just not very good people, but that’s not who we are. The vast majority of the people are decent, and we have to appeal to that and we have to unite people — bring them together. Bring them together.”

[End]

Naturally, Biden’s critics jumped on the “10 to 15 percent” remark as if it is some sort of “basket of deplorables” moment, but that’s not going to fly. I doubt there is anyone in the United States who doesn’t believe that at least 15% of the population of this or any other country are “just not very good people.” If anything, Biden is underestimating here.

If you’re looking for ways to take Biden’s campaign out, look elsewhere because this cat don’t flush.

Hey, 2/3rds of them voted for the guy. – I found this incident to be highly ironic:

From the Breitbart piece:

The crowd booed New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) during his appearance at Thursdays’s vigil for George Floyd, with some hurling expletives, demanding the Democrat politician to “get the f*ck out of here!”

While Rev. Kevin McCall urged the crowd to treat de Blasio with respect, the mayor did not receive an overwhelmingly warm welcome, as the audience inundated his appearance with boos and shouts of “get the fuck out of here,” “f*ck the mayor’s curfew,” and “shut the f*ck up.” Some reportedly turned their backs to the mayor:

Mayor Bill de Blasio’s speech at the memorial for George Floyd in Brooklyn was met with boos and jeers, despite requests from organizers for the crowd not to do so.

Embedded video

Let’s be honest here: New Yorkers get what they deserve in a mayor. In the 2013 election, they elected this giant Marxist boob over his Republican opponent by a margin of 73% to 24%. When he ran for re-election in 2017, after four years of abject failure and rampant nit-wittery, these same New York City voters gave him another four-year term by a margin of 67% to 28%.

According to NYC law, de Blasio is now term-limited out, but the reality is that if he could run for a third term, the very same people who tried to boo him off the stage on Thursday would overwhelmingly re-elect him again for the simple fact that he would have a “D” next to his name.

There is a word for the process of doing the same stupid thing over and over and over again and expecting a different result. That word is “insanity,” and it perfectly describes the voter of New York City and other major cities that have been controlled by Democrat machine politics for many decades.

That is all.

America in the 21st Century: 20 Long Years of Constant Brainwashing

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Hey, what happened to all those pervasive, ubiquitous messages from March, April and May, telling us ten thousand times every day to wash our hands and stay at home? It was a hell of a brainwashing campaign carried out by our national news media and governments at all levels, and now it has basically vanished.

Dr. Anthony Fauci has gone from being the national grandfather figure who hands out constantly-shifting and always-wrong advice on your TV screen every day to some old guy cooped up on his basement who gets an interview with some daytime hack on MSNBC or CNN once or twice a week. He told us yesterday he was very concerned about a coming new outbreak of COVID-19 due to the lack of social distancing being practiced by the looters and burners and rioters in the nation’s big, Democrat-run cities, but no one was listening, which frankly is not a bad thing.

Mind you, he told us that while the very same statistical modeling idiots who projected 2 million Americans would die of this virus were now saying that, hey, all the staying at home and social distancing and washing our hands had no effect on the spread of the virus whatsoever. But you weren’t supposed to hear that.

Deborah Birx, the owner of every scarf in North America, seems to have completely disappeared. It’s like she never existed. Fame is a fickle thing – it comes and goes at the whim of the latest Democrat/corrupt news media narrative. She’s yesterday’s narrative, just like the Creepy Porn Lawyer.

The campaign to brainwash America about the Wuhan Virus has basically run its course along with the virus itself, and has now been replaced by a brainwashing campaign to convince us that we should all run out to the nearest riot and take a knee, just like Joe Biden did in that black church on Sunday. You remember Joe Biden, don’t you? Yeah, he’s that guy who told a clearly-black radio talk show host that “you ain’t black!”

That was barely a week ago and we’ve already forgotten. The brainwashing campaign demands it. Today, the narrative is that Joe Biden, the guy who’s already had 16,089 days in public office to address “institutional racism” in America and done nothing about it, is suddenly going to solve the whole problem in his first 100 days in office if you’ll just elect this shuffling, elderly man who doesn’t know where he is most of the time to hold the highest office in the land.

Yeah, that’ll work out fine.

In Los Angeles yesterday, the National Guard there took a knee before the rioters, which means the rioters are now in charge of Los Angeles, which is presumably how Mayor Eric Garcetti wanted it anyway.

Racial Tensions: Police across US taking a knee to support ...

On Twitter last night, every reporter for the New York Times threw a fit because the Times’ own op/ed page ran a piece written by a Republican U.S. Senator, Tom Cotton of Arkansas, who advocates that the President should call in the military to help restore order in the cities run by Democrat mayors who refuse to let the police do their jobs. This is the same New York Times, mind you, that ran an op/ed piece by Adolph Hitler in June, 1941, even as Hitler was loading millions of Jews onto cattle cars and send them off to their deaths. None of the paper’s reporters, then or now, were horrified by that.

The title of Hitler’s op/ed – The Art of Propaganda – was obviously taken to heart by the New York Times editors and apparently remains the subject of Chapter 1 in the Times’ editorial handbook.

In February of this year, the Times ran an op/ed by the leader of the Taliban, a Muslim sect in Afghanistan that kills homosexuals and treats women like we treat rats. In 2013, it ran an op/ed by Vladimir Putin, who is supposed to be the devil incarnate today, according to the current dogma.

But it was the op/ed by a Republican Senator that set the Times staff off into a spasmodic group case of the vapors.

These media/government brainwashing campaigns are nothing new, of course. Hell, they’ve been carrying out a similar campaign related to “climate change” for the last 20 years, creating a global leftist religious cult in the process. They ran a massive campaign in 2008 designed to convince America that it was in fact obligated to elect Barack Obama because he was black. It worked, helped along by a traitorous Republican who intentionally tanked his own campaign. It worked again in 2012 thanks largely to the same dynamic.

For four long years, corrupt media outlets like the New York Times coordinated with the Democrats and many swampy Republicans like Paul Ryan and John McCain on a campaign to convince you that the “Russia Collusion” fantasy was in fact a real thing. It wasn’t, as Rod Rosenstein formally admitted multiple times under oath before the Senate Judiciary Committee yesterday; but hey, they’re still at it anyway.

For six months last fall and winter, the entirety of our news media actively conspired with Adam Schiff, Nancy Pelosi, Gerrold Nadler and the entire DC Swamp to brainwash you into believing that you should support the impeachment of President Trump over a phone call in which nothing improper was discussed. They knew if they could cause a massive shift in public opinion they might be able to convince enough GOP senators to give up the ghost and get it done.

That one failed, other than to get half a vote from the same traitor who threw the 2012 election.

Then came the Wuhan Virus campaign to stay at home and wash your hands and wear your masks and never get within 6 feet of anybody, and now that’s all gone away because you’re supposed to love and respect a bunch of domestic terrorist rioters who aren’t practicing any of that.

Oh, and at the same time, you still can’t legally get a haircut in Michigan or hold a funeral or wedding with more than 10 attendees in California, Oregon, New York and Illinois. And if you do those things, Mayors like Lori Lightfoot, who refuse to allow their police to try to control the riots, will send in the cops to shut your funeral home or church or barber shop down.

Welcome to America in the 21st century, where journalism is dead, the fascists call themselves “Democrats,” and the brainwashing never ends.

That is all.

Thursday News Roundup: Drama Queen Generals, Northam Virtue Signals, and a Circular Commie Firing Squad

How did the U.S. military get overrun by leftists? – That’s the open question today after former Secretary of Defense Jim Mattis outed himself in a histrionic anti-Trump opinion piece in the leftist rage The Atlantic. Mattis becomes just the latest in a long line of generals and admirals who have shown themselves to be dogmatic leftists over the past decade.

Much of this leftist takeover of the military upper echelons can of course be laid at the feet of Barack Obama – who also reared his annoying head yesterday – but not all of it can. Because guys like Mattis and John Kelly and H.R. McMaster and William McRaven had moved into high positions well before Obama was even elected to the U.S. Senate in 2006.

If you still doubt Mattis’s true political leanings, Lara Logan reminds us in a series of tweets about his odd behavior during the Trump Transition in 2016/early 2017:

She continues:

They were shocked by who Mattis wanted as his number 2 – he was pushing for Michelle Flournoy, the same person HRC had reportedly picked to lead DOD in her Administration, acc to sources/articles at the time, such as one Politico published in Nov 2016. They put it this way:

“THE NEXT ADMINISTRATION – HILLARY CLINTON’S HISTORY-MAKING DEFENSE SECRETARY IN WAITING”. Always wondered why Mattis would want someone like that at his side? Seems unlikely she would have been loyal to the President she would have served – was he?

Men like him knew Gen Mike Flynn was loyal to the US not Russia, yet they said nothing? As Sec Def, Mattis would have had access to all intelligence. What happened to that military code of honor in Flynn’s case? What about his Commander-in-Chief? He was silent then – but not now.

[End]

Oh.

And hey, Mattis just happens to be hawking a new book. So he’s not just a leftist, he’s a shameless self-promoting hack as well.

Good lord.

Then there is the case of current Defense Secretary Mark Esper, who went out of his way to politically undermine his Commander in Chief at a press conference on Wednesday, even as he claimed in his next breath to be non-political. Esper’s position on using the U.S. military, beyond the National Guard, to quell the rioting is certainly not unreasonable:

“The option to use active duty forces in a law enforcement role should only be used as a matter of last resort, and only in the most urgent and dire of situations. We are not in one of those situations now. I do not support invoking the Insurrection Act,” he told reporters.

That’s fine, and it’s an opinion shared by many. But there is a chain of command in place in our armed services that must be respected if they are to be effective fighting forces. Esper’s public remarks were decidedly political in nature and may well conflict with those of the President. That is not his role, and it was an act of insubordination. It was a purely political act, one that put the lie to Esper’s claims of being non-political and undermined his own credibility and authority.

President Trump should not tolerate it and ought to be looking for a new SecDef.

Then Esper can go write a book of his own.

Speaking of dogma… – Did you know you’re a racist if you go out and try to clean up your community after a violent riot? That’s what these three ladies discovered the hard way:

Yore attenshun puh-lease good citizens! Tha Raght Honorable Guvnah of tha Commonwealth a’ Virginia, Ralph Coonman Northam, is a-gonna do some virtue signalin’! – Ralph Northam, the racist, baby-killing fascist Democrat who still has his state in a lockdown, is going to make a grand virtue-signaling gesture this morning at a press conference in which he will announce he is removing a statue of Confederate General Robert E. Lee.

It’s his version of taking a knee.

These are not good odds. – At least 7 black people have now been killed during riots that have taken place in response to a single black person. Never forget that these riots have been organized and executed by the Democrat support groups Antifa and Black Lives Matter, and facilitated by Democrat mayors.

And now to leave you with some good news! The communist Bernie Sanders supporters have formed a circular firing squad! – Ok, it’s just on Twitter, but still, it’s always a good thing for America when the commies are fighting among themselves.

From a report at Politico:

“The left circular firing squad never rests and never misses a beat squandering an opportunity to get its head out of its ass to actually organize people outside of the cult,” said Jonathan Tasini, the author of “The Essential Bernie Sanders and His Vision for America” and a national surrogate for Sanders in 2016. “I just find it sad and head-shaking that this kind of crossfire is coming out now when the progressive movement has the opportunity to talk to millions of people.”

The skirmish began when David Sirota, Sanders’ former speechwriter, took a shot at the policy task forces that Sanders and presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden created in hopes of healing party rifts. Ex-campaign manager FaizShakir and Analilia Mejia, Sanders’ former national political director, have been in talks about the endeavor with top Biden advisers Anita Dunn — who is loathed by some progressives for previously consulting with disgracedHollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein about a New York Times investigation — and Ron Klain.

“I don’t know who needs to hear this, but many of us don’t want to hear career Beltway political operatives boasting about task forces while this shit is going on right now,” Sirota tweeted. “Jfc — try to be a little less tone deaf.”

That prompted Mike Casca, Sanders’ current spokesman, to make an explosive charge shortly before 11 p.m. about a progressive newsletter Sirota currently runs, after managing a similar project on the 2020 campaign. The publication offers a paid annual subscription option at a cost of $50.

“[D]amn right,” Casca tweeted, “real change happens when you steal an email list from the campaign and use it to create your own paid newsletter. why can’t anyone see that? anyway, subscribe if you can.”

The sudden remarks exposed the deep frustration among senior Sanders staffers about some ex-aides’ second-guessing about the campaign’s mistakes. Along with Casca, Shakir hit back Tuesday at former Sanders aide Winnie Wong, who has been publicly bashing him and senior adviser Jeff Weaver for weeks over their handling of the primary and post-campaign moves.

The Evening Wrap: Rosenstein Tosses McCabe Under the Bus, and Other WINNING News

So many items of WINNING news today it’s hard to know where to start.

How about this: The ADP private sector jobs report for May is in, and although it’s a big negative number, it’s still positive news in the context of this whole self-imposed Wuhan Virus recession. The ADP number for May came in at a net jobs loss of 2.76 million, which is obviously a depressing number. But – and it’s a big BUT – the consensus of projections by the so-called experts in this field had predicted a loss of 8.663 million jobs, almost 6 million more than the actual number.

What this means is pretty clear:

– Many workers who had lost jobs over the last 10 weeks and filed initial claims for unemployment quickly found new jobs;

– Businesses are reopening faster than the “experts” have anticipated despite the efforts by an array of Democrat governors to prevent that from happening in states like Michigan, New York, California, Oregon, New Jersey and Nevada;

– The reduction in economic growth has obviously not been as deep and severe as most have estimated.

That’s why we have this next bit of WINNING news: The Dow Jones Industrial Average rocketed up above 26,000 today, just 5 trading days after it topped 25,000 last Wednesday, and just 9 weeks after it bottomed out at 18,591. That is a rise of ~40% in a little over 2 months.

At the same time, the NASDAQ hit 9,681 today, and is now within just 70 points of regaining every bit of the losses it suffered in March. Given that the stock markets tend to reflect where investors believe the economy will be 3 to 6 months from now, that represents a stunning vote of confidence in the U.S. economy.

Obviously, the investor class in our country has just as little faith in the economic “expert” class as you and I do.

Oh, hey, then there’s this: You may be wondering why all the rioting across the country suddenly got dialed back last night. President Trump is saying that it’s because some mayors – like Eric Garcetti in Los Angeles – called in the National Guard, and that likely has a lot of merit. But other depraved Democrats like Bill de Blasio and Lori Lightfoot in Chicago did not do that, yet saw a dramatic decrease in violence and mayhem in their cities, too.

Here’s why I believe that happened: The Democrats – and thus, Antifa and Black Lives Matter – got hold of bad polling data, which meant all the bad out-of-state actors were ordered to go home. Remember, every decision the Democrats make is based on polling data.

The bad data on the riots came to them in the form of a new poll from the very liberal Morning Consult polling group, which finds that Americans favor using the National Guard and the U.S. military to put down these riots by a frankly amazing 58%-30% margin. The move is even favored by Democrat voters by a 48-43 margin.

In another bit of bad polling data (for Democrats), the Rasmussen survey shows that a large plurality of Americans consider Antifa to be a terrorist organization. 49% of respondents answered yes, while just 30% said no.

If you don’t think that data caused a ton of Democrat heads to explode, then you don’t understand how Democrats think and operate.

Uhhhh, who to believe – Rod Rosenstein? Or Andrew McCabe? – It’s a very tough choice, but that is what America faces today following an interesting Senate Judiciary Committee hearing in which the oily, rodent-like former Acting Attorney General offered his sniffing and slurping testimony. In this instance, I would tend to believe Rosenstein, if only for the fact that being slightly more believable than the pathological liar McCabe is such a low damn bar.

As we pointed out yesterday, Rosenstein has much to answer for related to his gross misconduct in office during the active coup d’etat effort which he personally facilitated from May 2017 through March 2019. Sadly, the stilted format of these hearings and uselessness of so many of the GOP senators meant that he only had to answer for a few of those things today.

The main focus of the few Republicans who really went after Rosenstein today – Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz and Chuck Grassley – was why Rosenstein signed off on the 4th fraudulent FISA warrant and appointed Robert Mueller shortly after he had assumed the office of Deputy Attorney General. Rosenstein’s wormy answer basically amounted to, “hey, I was just going on the information provided to me by Andy McCabe and his evil team, which included Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.”

Remember, at a press conference two years ago, Rosenstein went on and on about the fact that “In order to get a FISA warrant, you need an affidavit signed by a career law enforcement officer who swears the information is true… And if it is wrong, that person is going to face consequences.”

Remember that? I do, and today Rosenstein outright admitted his signing off on that FISA warrant based solely on the word of a pathological liar and his demonic staff was, well, wrong. But of course, he then added that, hey, he was just the new guy at DOJ and couldn’t be expected to try to verify any of the BS he was being fed by McCabe and Strzok and Page.

Naturally, McCabe was watching the proceedings at home – or maybe at CNN headquarters, where he remains employed as a richly-paid on-screen liar, er, “contributor” – and he issued a statement defending himself as the hearing was progressing, as reported by JustTheNews.com:

In a statement apparently authored shortly after Rosenstein made that assertion, McCabe said that Rosenstein’s “claims to have been misled by me or anyone from the F.B.I.” were “completely false.”

“I briefed Mr. Rosenstein on Jim Comey’s memos describing his interactions with the president days after Mr. Rosenstein wrote the memo firing Jim Comey,” McCabe said, in a statement read by committee Chairman Lindsey Graham.

Rosenstein’s remarks “loo[k] to be another sad attempt by the president and his men to rewrite the history of their actions in 2017,” McCabe said. “They have found in Mr. Rosenstein, then and now, a willing accessory in that effort.”

[End]

Hilariously, Lindsey Graham closed the hearing out by reading McCabe’s statement and allowing Rosenstein to give one more worm-like answer:

“I did not say that Mr. McCabe misled me,” he said. “Those were not my words. I think he is responding to somebody’s question.”

“What I said was, he did not reveal the Comey memos to me for a week. And that is true. He revealed them to me only a couple of hours before they showed up in the New York Times, and he did not reveal to me that he was having internal deliberations with his team about whether to target high-profile people for investigation.”

[End]

Here’s reality: Rosenstein admitted under oath today that he had zero basis for signing that FISA warrant; zero basis for believing anyone in the Trump Campaign or Transition team was colluding with the Russians; and thus, zero basis for appointing a special counsel. He admitted that he basically didn’t know nuthin’ about nuthin’ and just allowed himself to be strung along by the coup cabal made up of Obama holdovers at the DOJ and FBI.

Absolutely sickening.

Tomorrow, expect the GOP majority to vote unanimously to issue subpoenas to more than 50 Obama loyalists who tried to fix the 2016 election and then overthrow a duly-elected POTUS.

This is actually gonna be fun to watch.

I leave you with this absolutely epic clip of Senator Ted Cruz destroying Rosenstein, Barack Obama, Susan Rice and Joe Biden at today’s hearing:

America Must Find a way to Hold the Media Accountable for its Serial Mendacity

Let’s revisit one of the Campaign Update’s recurring themes, which is that the corrupt national news media establishment, like the Democrat Party, represents a true existential threat to our country’s survival in its current form. If we cannot find some means of holding these disloyal and destructive media outlets accountable for their systemic and pernicious false reporting, and do it soon, then the United States will descend into chaos and possibly a second Civil War.

Mollie Hemingway put it bluntly in a tweet yesterday:

This is absolutely correct on all counts, and the riots are just the most recent example. It is incredibly disorienting when “reporters” at CNN or MSNBC stand before the camera with mayhem and destruction taking place right behind them and assure the audience that these are “peaceful protesters.” Here’s a great example:

MSNBC reporter says Minneapolis protest against death of George ...

That’s Ali Veshi, one of MSNBC’s teeming army of corrupt reporters, who claimed the Saturday night riots in Minneapolis were “mostly peaceful” even as a huge fire torches a building right behind him. This sort of utterly false “reporting” has been at pandemic stage across cable and network news for a solid week now.

Hemingway put up another pair of tweets later on Tuesday that accurately sum up the nation’s current situation:

The national news media establishment has made it crystal clear for four solid years now that it is, as an institution, firmly on the side of those who believe America is irredeemably evil and must be violently overthrown. The Democrat Party, which coordinates narratives and talking points on a daily basis with these corrupt media outlets, is obviously on that same page, and has been for many years.

If our society had seen honest coverage of the events of the past week, the Democrat Party would be essentially wiped off the face of the national scene on Election Day, and would never be able to win another national election. Everything we have witnessed this week was coordinated, planned and executed by groups the Democrat Party invented – Antifa and Black Lives Matter – and which serve as Democrat Party support groups.

These are Democrat Party sponsored riots, pure and simple. To make matters worse, they’re occurring in large cities that have been run for many years by Democrat machine politics, and we have the spectacle of Democrat mayors like Bill de Blasio and Lori Lightfoot and that pathetic simpleton Jacob Frey in Minneapolis actively refusing to do anything effective to quell them until millions of dollars of destruction have taken place and thousands of lives have been shattered.

And hey, after all the destruction’s been done and the small business owners who have had their livelihoods destroyed, and the community residents who have had their neighborhoods trashed and vandalized begin to speak up, those corrupt, seditious mayors and governors then shift the blame to the police departments that they ordered to stand down.

Through it all, the corrupt news media has focused blame on its enemies: Donald Trump, and you. You, the American people, are the root of the problem in this narrative, and Donald Trump’s tweets just make the problem worse.

The people who are “honoring the memory of George Floyd” by burning buildings and killing people while they loot convenience stores for Twinkies, Apple stores for I-Phones and pawn shops for used television sets are “peaceful protesters” who are just “trying to have their voices heard.” And if the building is burning right behind the reporter who is telling you this, well, who are you gonna believe, him or your own lyin’ eyes?

There is literally not a single Republican fingerprint on anything you have seen this past week. Every bit of it is the work of Democrat Party politicians, policy choices and support groups. Yet the national media establishment goes to herculean lengths to try to convince you it is all the fault of Donald Trump and you.

As Hemingway states in the last tweet noted above, the seriousness of this effort to divide and destroy this country – with the willing support of the national news media – has now become so obvious that it will force the law and order side to engage in the fight.

She issued that tweet on Tuesday morning. Interestingly, the intensity of the riots and demonstrations suddenly died down on Tuesday night, as the National Guard was engaged in some cities, including Los Angeles, and the police in New York City decided to quit listening to de Blasio and forcefully engage. Maybe that will last, and maybe it won’t, but the timing is interesting.

But here’s what we need to all keep in mind: What we have seen over the last week in our big, Democrat-run cities is just a preview of what we will see many times over when Donald Trump wins re-election in November. Don’t kid yourselves otherwise – plans for the mass riots we will inevitably see then are already being drawn up.

Because none of what you have seen take place over the past week has been organic in nature. It’s all been planned and executed by Democrat Party-affiliated groups.

If we had an honest, working national media establishment, that would be the headline story on every newscast, and the light of truth would end all of this very quickly.

But we don’t have an honest media establishment, and if we can’t find a way to hold these corrupt outlets accountable for their serial mendacity soon, we ultimately won’t have a country.

That is all.

The “Resistance” Movement’s History of Failure

Guest Piece by Gregg Updike

The current and ongoing “resistance” movement was spawned when the Democrats didn’t get their “inevitable” candidate elected to continue Obama’s third term.

Many (ignorant of political and historical perspective) people who I know to this day still think Obama inherited a mess from Bush Jr. and did a “good” job getting us out of the terrible horrible Bush years. Most are securely employed government workers and were otherwise unaffected by Obama’s stagnant economy. For the most part, this pervasive mindset was driven by the MSM (D) where everything every Republican did was akin to Hitler and every Democrat was a saint who only wanted to do the best for everyone.

So the anti GOP mindset is firmly hardwired into the minds of 40 plus percent of the population. The 20 or so percent of the elected feckless RINOs contribute mightily to this mindset. Many of these RINOS know a Democrat can’t get elected to represent their district, city or state, so they became “Republican” to win their election; that is why they are called RINOs.

Bloomberg is a great example. A lifelong liberal Democrat, he became a “Republican” to avoid a crowded Democratic primary, and rode Giuliani’s coattails to win in NYC.

Thus the Grahams, Alexanders, Rubios and McLames of the world get elected running as “conservatives”. Once elected, they quickly establish political machines to wipe out any future primary contenders and essentially become senator etc. for life. I have no doubt many also receive money and other covert support from the big government employee unions. A little known secret is many big organizations including most if not all big businesses support BOTH parties’ candidate; therefore no matter who wins they get their place at the table. That is how the political ‘system’ gets so corrupted.

In reality, for years, most Republicans don’t win elections; they get elected when the Democrat is so bad that the people (voters) revolt and vote for the alternative Republican or whatever “Independent” is on the ballot. Examples of Democrats who were so bad they were beaten in their reelect bid: President Carter, NJ Governor Florio, NY Mayor Dinkins, B. J. Clinton losing both houses of congress together for the first time in forty years, and Al Gore and Hillary Clinton not winning on the coattails of “popular” Democratic Presidents.

Both Clinton and Obama should have been one term presidents like Carter was, but they (unlike Carter) were propped up by the leftist media and beat very mediocre challengers (Dole and Romney). Reagan was a great candidate compared to Dole and Romney and he won because you can’t beat someone with no one, and Biden is as close to being a ‘no one’ as any candidate for any office in history.

The dumbing down of America’s youth in the public school system, and then the indoctrination of the high school “graduates” in our institutions of ‘higher learning’ all but ensures a Democratic leaning electorate. B. J. Clinton’s snake oil campaign and Obama’s “Hope and Change” messaging carried the day against media demonized, and miserable opponents.

Many GOP nominees are also known as “Designated Losers”. Bush Sr. was seen as being so bad a president – a Republican Jimmy Carter – that a major Independent (Perot) was able to get nearly 20% of the popular vote in 1992. This was very similar to the 1912 election between Taft and Wilson where Teddy Roosevelt (the original progressive) ran as an anti-Taft third party candidate and split the conservative vote. America got our first ‘worst’ president.

This is why we need runoff elections. There is no reason a candidate (Clinton) should win the presidency with only 43% of the popular vote.

About this ongoing anti-Trump “resistance”, there is no doubt in my mind that a similar coup and subsequent “resistance” effort would have been mounted against a Cruz or a Kasich or a Bush III presidency – and it would have worked in getting a resignation like was force upon Nixon when he lost support of the feckless GOP senate in 1974.

Trump, with his message, was the only 2016 GOP candidate who could have won against the Clinton machine. I also believe Sanders and his “message” could have beaten Trump since he didn’t have the Clinton baggage and essentially was the left’s version of ‘outsider’ Trump. Many of his supporters were angered because he was shafted by Clinton and the DNC. When Clinton was anointed, many Sanders supporters just stayed home.

Biden’s apparent win against Sanders is just history repeating itself. The real problem for the DNC and the left is Biden is so much worse a candidate than Hillary.

“The Resistance” is a term carefully chosen by the anti-Trump leftist movement. In world War II, covert fifth column sabotage was called “The Resistance” in Nazi occupied Europe to cripple Hitler’s war effort – “set Europe Ablaze” was Churchill’s slogan; Antifa and other groups are engaged in doing the same today. It was also supported bigtime by outside forces – the Allies in WWII, Antifa is also highly supported and organized by the numerous anti-Trump forces.

These riots and the “resistance” movement were looking for a ‘triggering event’ to set America ablaze as the Covid-19 “plandemic” crisis was running out of steam and we were beginning to return to “normal”. It was and is all too organized, all too coherent to be an organic protest on a nationwide scale. Look for other false flags to be created in the remaining five months before the election as the left driven “resistance” is getting more and more desperate to beat the “Bad Orange Man”.

So far, they have failed miserably with the three phase coup attempt, Mueller, Ukraine Impeachment, Covid-19, and now the violence. My only fear is the cumulative effect of all this intense turmoil created by the Democrats and the crisis-centric media could create a certain amount of ‘Trump Fatigue’. The relative peace of Obama’s administration may seem attractive to some who want to get back to “normal”.

These Democrat Riots Will End America’s Downtown Renaissance

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

The inevitable outcomes of this past week of rioting in the major, Democrat-controlled cities are very predictable. The abject refusal by Democrat mayors and governors to make any effort whatsoever to protect the citizens and small businesses from the excesses of Antifa- and BLM-led burning and pillaging will have consequences for those cities for decades to come.

The first two decades of the 21st century have seen a revival of the central cities in America, as the Baby Boomer flight to the suburbs has given way to a move back to downtown and mid-town areas by Gen-X, Gen-Y and Millennials wanting to avoid being trapped into a life of long commutes they watched their parents endure. Life in high-rise and mid-rise condominiums within walking distance of office and shopping centers has become the new norm for these younger generations of Americans, and hundreds of thousands of small businesses have sprung up on the ground floors of those condo buildings to serve them.

When I first lived in Houston in 1980, no one lived in the downtown area, and the thriving area called “mid-town” was a slum. You didn’t want to linger downtown past dark because it was too dangerous to be caught there. Most other large cities in America were in similar shape after all of the “white flight” to the suburbs that had taken place since the 1960s.

That all began to change in the mid-1990s, after mayors like Rudy Giuliani had taken charge of the security situations in those downtown areas and city governments and business leaders invested billions in urban renewal projects designed to make those areas attractive places to live. College graduates of all races, colors and creeds, having grown up watching their parents spend 2 to 3 hours a day in stop and go traffic saw the advantages of living a few blocks from work and seized the opportunities to do so.

From Seattle to Portland to San Diego to Phoenix to Denver to Dallas to Houston to Miami to Boston, and many points in between, downtown/mid-town neighborhoods that were basically hellholes 40 years ago were turned into great cultural melting pots of our society. It was a stunning success story of 21st century America. But then came Barack Obama and Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch and the policies of hands-off policing, policies that order the police to stand down and watch helplessly during riots as the bad actors vent their rage at the expense of residents and small businesses.

The last week is simply the inevitable result of those “progressive” policies.

Thousands of young-ish New Yorkers who moved to Soho because it was a cool place to be woke up Monday morning horrified by the reality that Bill de Blasio had allowed the neighborhood they had believed to be safe and secure to be looted and burned during the night. Thousands more New Yorkers are waking up to similar realities in other Manhattan and Brooklyn neighborhoods this morning. Residents and business owners in downtown and mid-town areas of Minneapolis and Chicago and Philadelphia have seen their lives and livelihoods destroyed by city leaders who couldn’t be bothered to do anything to stop all the mayhem. The vast majority of these people are loyal Democrats who thought the leaders they have repeatedly elected would protect them.

Silly them.

The worst thing about it is that that mayhem – the looting, the burning, the shattering of doors and windows – was largely committed by their neighbors, egged on by BLM and Antifa organizers from out of state.

If you are a young mother or father who has just seen half of the buildings surrounding your home vandalized, burned and looted by people who live just blocks away, how will you ever feel secure in that home again? If you are a small business owner who has just had your storefront windows shattered and your store looted while your city’s Democrat leaders sat safe in their mansions and did nothing, what will be your incentive for reopening? You may do it for awhile, try to get back on your feet while putting bars on your doors and windows, but how long can you last as you watch half of your customers flee back to the suburbs where they were raised by their commuting parents?

The Democrat mayors and inner-city councilmen won’t care, because the captive population left behind will only lean more strongly in their favor. Their lives of grifting in positions of political power will have been secured.

For the people left behind, life will become grim. Sadly, most of them will have no understanding of the fact that the re-created downtown/mid-town hellholes to come are the result of their own actions and voting habits.

Life’s a cycle, and when you just keep mindlessly voting for Democrats, you get what you ask for, whether you realize it or not.

That is all.
