Marco Rubio Flexes his DC Swamp Muscle

As if we needed another example of Senate Republican mendacity, we got one yesterday. – The Washington Examiner reported Monday that Marco Rubio, Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI), is refusing to share information from the SSCI’s “Russia Collusion” investigation with his fellow committee chairmen.

Ron Johnson, Chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, and Chuck Grassley, who will re-take the chairmanship of the Senate Judiciary Committee in January from the worthless Lindsey Graham, had requested via a letter to Rubio and SSCI ranking Democrat Mark Warner that SSCI share some of its records with their committees in order to further their investigations into Spygate/Obamagate. Yesterday, Rubio and Warner rejected that request in a letter of their own.

From the Washington Examiner story:

The Republican and Democratic leaders on the Senate Intelligence Committee rejected a broad request from two Republican Senate leaders seeking access to the panel’s records to assist in their investigation into the Trump-Russia investigators.

Acting Chairman Marco Rubio of Florida and Vice Chairman Mark Warner of Virginia rejected a late August letter from Senate Homeland Security Chairman Ron Johnson of Wisconsin and Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley of Iowa, who said that they “respect the authority” of the Senate Intelligence Committee to protect its interests, adding that “ultimately, we have the right as United States Senators” to access the records.

“We note that your request of the Committee is made pursuant to Senate Rule 26, but fails to account for the unique authorities and obligations invested in this Committee through Senate Resolution 400 and respected over decades of Senate and Committee practice,” Rubio and Warner responded. “Accordingly, we must reject the absolutist interpretation of Rule 26 that you propose. If this Committee elects to share materials that it has collected and generated in the course of its investigation into Russia’s efforts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election, it will do so pursuant to these long-standing Committee rules, and specifically, the joint agreement of the Chairman and the Vice Chairman.”

Rubio and Warner added: “Independent of whether that agreement is forthcoming, our position on this matter obviously does not preclude you from pursuing your own investigation, using your own authorities, as you see fit, within the confines of your committees’ jurisdictions.”

[End]

So, here we have the spectacle of one Senate committee refusing to share information with another Senate committee, and a Republican committee chairman allowing his authority to be subsumed by the ranking member of the minority party. Why doesn’t Mitch McConnell just formally name Warner the SSCI chairman since he is obviously functioning in that role?

To be clear, Senate Rule 26 requires committees to cross-share information with other committees when such requests are made, but Rubio is allowing Warner to claim that SSCI-adopted “rules” – specifically a deal made between Warner and insider-trading cheat/ex-SSCI Chairman Richard Burr – supersede a rule adopted by the full Senate.

What is really happening here is that the SSCI in general, and Warner/Burr/Rubio specifically were active participants in the Deep State coup d’etat effort led by the DOJ/FBI cabal from late 2016 through early 2019. These senators inevitably created a paper trail of their mendacity during that time frame, some of which would inevitably make its way into the documentation of their committee’s fake investigation. SSCI’s “investigation” was really nothing but an effort to provide cover for the Mueller Special Counsel criminal operation and the seditious actions of Rod Rosenstein and James Comey.

SSCI is an utterly corrupt operation whose real goal is to protect Senate interests in the graft factory that is the DC Swamp, and the profits it generates to Senators of both parties. Which is why its Republican and Democrat members were so carefully selected by Mitch McConnell and Chuck Schumer.

This refusal by Rubio and Warner to share key information with their colleagues is just a part of the protective role the SSCI plays for Senators of both parties.

It is the very definition of DC Swamp kabuki theater.

That is all.

Burr Steps Aside For Now, But Will it Matter?

The Evening Campaign Update

North Carolina RINO Richard Burr “stepped aside,” i.e., was removed by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell as chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday for the duration of the FBI’s investigation into his sketchy stock trades back in February. Burr [McConnell] was quoted as saying that he was concerned he had “become a distraction” from the committee’s oh-so-important business.

Given that Burr has spent the last three years using his committee to run cover for the Obama Coup Cabal at the DOJ/FBI/Intelligence Community, his removal from that post, even temporarily, will no doubt excite many who have been frustrated by his serial mendacity.

The problem, though, is that the GOP caucus on that committee is chock full of fellow RINOs with one lone exception. That exception is Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton, who is a rising star on the conservative side of the ledger. However, there is pretty much no chance Cotton would be elevated to replace Burr, given that he has the lowest seniority (5 years in the senate) among the Republicans on the committee.

Otherwise, you have this vertiable murderer’s row of RINOs to pick from as Burr’s replacement:

John Cornyn of Texas – 18 years’ seniority
Marco Rubio of Florida – 11 years’ seniority
Jim Risch of Idaho – 9 years’ seniority
Susan Collins of Maine – 23 years’ seniority
Roy Blunt of Missouri – 9 years’ seniority
Ben Sasse of Nebraska – 5 years’ seniority

Cornyn is the Senate Majority Whip and thus unlikely to assume the post. Collins, who has a tough re-election campaign this year, would be a very unlikely choice. Next in line in terms of seniority would be Rubio, followed by Blunt and Risch.

None of them would be any sort of significant improvement over Burr in the job. So, while Burr richly deserves everything that’s coming at him right now, his removal from this chairmanship is nothing to get excited about.

Not receiving quite as much attention is the fact that Senator from China, er, California Dianne Feinstein was herself interviewed by FBI agents regarding some massive stock trades made by she and her husband as the extent of the Wuhan Virus issue was becoming evident during January and February.

From a report at Forbes:

Feinstein’s husband sold millions in shares of Allogene Therapeutics, a California biotech company in January and February, according to Senate financial disclosures.

Feinstein came under intense public scrutiny for the sales in March, along with several other senators who made similar transactions.

Feinstein has defended herself, saying she had “no input” in her husband’s financial transactions during a CNN interview in March.

Now, a spokesman for Feinstein confirms she was asked “some basic questions by law enforcement about her husband’s stock transactions” in April, adding that she was “happy to voluntarily answer those questions to set the record straight.”

[End]

Feinstein, remember, was revealed to have had a spy for the Chinese government employed as her driver for 20 years back in 2018, and the FBI couldn’t be bothered to even ask her about that at the time. But stock trades, now that’s something our “premiere” law enforcement agency, led by the utterly worthless Christopher Wray, can really sink its teeth into.

Not that Feinstein doesn’t deserve the scrutiny – of course she does. But the priorities constantly on display by the FBI – or lack thereof – never cease to amaze.

Anyone expecting either senator to be truly punished for their actions related to these trades is living in a dream world. Burr might – might – get a reprimand of some sort from the Senate ethics office, but only because he has an “R” next to his name. Feinstein’s a D and long ago was rendered completely untouchable. Honestly, if keeping a spy on the payroll for 20 years didn’t earn her any trouble, what would?

Just more business as usual in the DC Swamp.

That is all.

Richard Burr’s Betrayal and Stupidity Comes Back to Haunt Him

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II

As Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee over the past three years, North Carolina RINO Senator Richard Burr coordinated efforts with the ranking minority member, Virginia Sen. Mark Warner, to run interference for the coup cabal’s efforts within the DOJ and FBI to take down the duly-elected President, Donald Trump. Today, he might be regretting his seditious actions.

Last night, Burr was repaid for his troubles by the FBI with a raid on his home in a search for evidence related to allegations that he traded a huge amount of stocks in February based on insider information about the extent of the Wuhan Virus problem in the U.S. Burr was also forced to turn over his telephone in the process of the FBI raid.

From a report in today’s Daily Caller:

The FBI seized Republican North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr’s cell phone Wednesday night after serving a search warrant as part of an investigation into whether the Republican made illegal stock trades based on insider information about the coronavirus pandemic, a law enforcement official told The Los Angeles Times.

The Times reported that FBI agents served the warrant on Burr at his home in the Washington, D.C. area. Burr turned over his phone to investigators, according to the newspaper.

At the time Burr’s stock trades became public news, he gave the lame excuse that he made the trades himself based on having watched a show on CNBC. At the same time, trades made by Republican Sen. Kelly Loeffler and Democrat Sen. from China Dianne Feinstein also became public, but those two senators had had the foresight to place their stockholdings in a blind trust, and thus had third party brokers handling their stock transactions.

So, Burr is being singled out here, but for once there doesn’t seem to be any partisan motivation behind it. He’s just not very bright.

Other than what little support he might receive from his many fellow RINOs in the Senate, Burr will find himself a man alone in this fight. Given that RINOs are as a class the most cowardly bunch of hacks in Washington, he probably won’t receive any support from his “friends,” either.

One thing is certain: Few if any supporters of President Trump will waste even a minute of time worrying about his well-being. Florida Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz, a stauch Trump supporter, made this clear in an interview with Tucker Carlson, during which he said this:

“Richard Burr is a disgrace. He should be removed as the intelligence chairman immediately as a result of this conduct and as Republicans in the Trump era, we have an obligation to say we do not want corrupt acts to be associated with our tribe,” Gaetz insisted.

“And Republicans need to start stepping up and speaking out because what Richard Burr did in the Senate stock sell-off is not something that we want our brand associated with.”

Exactly.

That is all.

Democrats Spend the Ratcliffe Hearing Protecting the Chinese Government

The Mid-Day Campaign Update

If you watched Tuesday morning’s Senate Intelligence Committee confirmation hearing for Trump DNI nominee John Ratcliffe, you witnessed an entire political party that is apparently bought and paid for by the Chinese government. Those watching the livestream on Youtube were not able to see which senator was doing the questioning, but committee Chair Richard Burr identified each of them when they were called on.

Several Republicans on the committee questioned the nominee about his concerns related to the ChiCom government and the fact that its’ dishonesty related to COVID-19 literally caused a global pandemic that has now killed hundreds of thousands of people around the world. Democrats, on the other hand, focused their questioning on … you guessed it … Russia! Because of course they did.

Any time Ratcliffe expressed his real concerns about China and its increasingly hostile posture towards our country, the Democrat doing the questioning would immediately attempt to change the subject by saying something along the lines of ‘but what about Russia?’ Clearly, the Democrat talking points memo cautions against uttering a negative word about the ChiComs.

This is despicable and dangerous for our country. We have one of our two major parties – which controls a majority in one house of congress – that literally refuses to recognize the myriad challenges that a country with 1.4 billion people poses to freedom and peace not just to the United States, but all around the globe. Not only do Democrats refuse to verbalize any concerns related to China, they and their corrupt toadies in the media aggressively smear and demonize anyone who does.

They literally appear to be actively working on behalf of the ChiCom government.

Ratcliffe, of course, knew that reality going in, having spent the last decade of his life dealing with disloyal Democrat sleazebags like Adam Schiff and Gerrold Nadler. But still, the tenor and tone of the questioning in this hearing had to be a bit of an eye-opener for him in regards to just how much control the ChiComs and their lobbyists in the U.S. exert over the entire Democrat Senate caucus.

Other highlights of the hearing included:

– Ratcliffe being asked by every Democrat whether he would lie about intelligence matters to protect the President.

– The spectacle of the senator most deeply embedded within the Deep State – Virginia Democrat Mark Warner – giving a 3-minute soliloquy about how there is no such thing as the Deep State.

– Democrat Sen. Michael Bennet and other Democrats repeatedly asking Ratcliffe if he thinks the intelligence community has run amok, as if that were some big secret at this point in history, given all the recent document releases proving that it in fact has done that.

– Kamala Harris, who has done literally nothing in response to the Wuhan Virus, asking Ratcliffe if he thought President Trump took the virus “too lightly.” After Ratcliffe answered that no, he didn’t, Harris proceeded to read an article from the Washington Post. You just can’t make this stuff up.

– One Democrat – I didn’t catch which one it was – asked Ratcliffe who he agreed with about waterboarding, President Trump or John McCain. Holy crap. Ratcliffe of course stated that he would follow the law.

These people are garbage human beings, plain and simple.

Ratcliffe will be confirmed reluctantly by this corrupt committee on a party line vote in the coming days, because the members know that their only alternative at this point would be for Ric Grenell to continue in the post for another year. Grenell has made it clear that he has no fear of this committee, and no reluctance to aggressively go after the bad actors this committee still seeks to protect.

They’ve obviously decided that Ratcliffe would be easier to deal with and control. Given Ratcliffe’s history, I suspect they are about to be disappointed in that belief.

That is all.

Mid-Day Update: DOJ Investigating Burr, Accountability for Chloroquine Critics

The Mid-Day Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Boom. Will we actually get a little justice from the Department of Justice? – Ok, the report is from CNN, so don’t get your hopes up overly-much, but still: CNN reported Monday morning that the DOJ is coordinating with the SEC to investigate the suspicious stock trades made by RINO North Carolina Senator Richard Burr:

The Justice Department has started to probe a series of stock transactions made by lawmakers ahead of the sharp market downturn stemming from the spread of coronavirus, according to two people familiar with the matter.

The inquiry, which is still in its early stages and being done in coordination with the Securities and Exchange Commission, has so far included outreach from the FBI to at least one lawmaker, Sen. Richard Burr, seeking information about the trades, according to one of the sources.
Public scrutiny of the lawmakers’ market activity has centered on whether members of Congress sought to profit from the information they obtained in non-public briefings about the virus epidemic.
Burr, the North Carolina Republican who heads the Senate Intelligence Committee, has previously said that he relied only on public news reports as he decided to sell between $628,000 and $1.7 million in stocks on February 13. Earlier this month, he asked the Senate Ethics Committee to review the trades given “the assumption many could make in hindsight,” he said at the time.
[End]

If you remember, early reports on suspicious stock trades made by various senators during February also included trades made by Democrat Dianne Feinstein and Republican Kelly Loeffler. Both Feinstein and Loeffler were able to establish plausible deniability through having put their securities into blind trusts managed by professional financial advisors. Burr, on the other hand, laughably claimed to have made his decision based on reports he watched on CNBC, even though he made them almost immediately following having received a disturbing briefing on the potential impacts of the coronavirus.

His position here is frankly indefensible, and everyone involved has to know it. But we all know how corrupted the DOJ remains even under current Attorney General William Barr, and how it works to protect members in good standing of the DC Swamp. Given that Burr qualifies as a life member of the Swamp thanks to his utterly corrupt chairmanship of the Senate Intelligence Committee, everyone should temper any hope of the DOJ actually making any effort to do anything other than cover this entire episode up.

Put your health where your narrative is, Democrats. – This morning’s Campaign Update covered the FDA’s move to approve hydroxycholoroquine for prescription use in fighting the Wuhan Virus, COVID-19. That news has now been supplemented by the news that the health agencies in both France and Italy have now issued similar approvals, as scientific and anecdotal evidence of the drug’s effectiveness in treating the virus continues to mount.

Yet, despite all of this official adoption of this safe, well-known, affordable and plentiful drug for treating the Wuhan Virus, Democrats and their corrupt media toadies here in the U.S. continue their campaign to demonize hydroxychloroquine for purely political purposes. In one of the latest moves on this front, Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis ordered a huge shipment of the drug while Democrat governors in Nevada and Michigan were issuing orders to prevent their citizens from benefiting from its use.

Meanwhile, corrupt media outlets like CNN continue to issue biased reports denying the growing body of evidence confirming the drug’s effectiveness:

Given the rank dishonesty and danger to normal citizens involved in this ongoing false Democrat/media narrative, here is a humble proposition:

President Trump should appoint an “Accountability Czar.” This person’s job would be to compile an official list of all the craven Democrat politicians and corrupt media outlets who are pushing this latest propaganda hoax, and to coordinate with the CDC, the FDA and state and local officials to ensure that no one who engages in this hoax in an active way is able to obtain treatment involving hydroxychloroquine in the tragic event that they become ill with the Wuhan Virus.

Let’s allow these corrupt individuals to put their health where their narrative is, and see how it all turns out for them. Hell, I’ll even volunteer for the job.

That is all.

If Coronavirus Doesn’t Kill the U.S., Corruption in Government Will

Guest piece by Gregg Updike

After we won WWII in 1945, the US had about 75% of the world’s manufacturing capability with about 7% of the world’s population. We lost over 400,000 (overwhelmingly white males) and spent about four Trillion of today’s Dollars in that effort to “Save the World for Democracy”.

Today we can’t address anything without spending at least a TRILLION DOLLARS!  By the way, a TRILLION DOLLARS equals about $3,050.00 per person.

Today, after 75 years of implementing the globalists’ “New World Order” via the FDR-created UN, which has done nothing but bleed the US of its wealth, we have less than 10% of the world’s manufacturing capability and about 4.7% of the world’s population. One must ask: What exactly did we gain for such sacrifice?

We gained no territory, no resources, no wealth from our effort. It is as if we played poker, risked (and spent a lot – built the casino) everything, won big, and then not only gave back the winnings, but also gave up almost all the assets we brought to the table.

For the last 100-plus years we have been the most generous nation in the world saving much of Europe from oppressive tyranny and providing aid and comfort to virtually all of the world when natural and some man made disasters have occurred, yet we are the most criticized, and disrespected country in the world.

For perspective: Google Gordon Sinclair’s book, “The Americans, a Canadian Opinion” that came out almost 50 years ago.

The UN, just like its predecessor – the League of Nations – has never solved anything in a permanent way. Yet it is the go-to place to solve the world’s problems.

No victorious nation has ever done more to defeat itself than the U.S., and this must stop. We have the means and the resources, to tell the world to go to hell; the question is do we have the national will.

With the revelation that at least two, and possibly four, or more, senators sold a lot of their stock after being briefed on the severity of the CHINA Virus shows that we have a real internal enemy, an existential threat if you will.

Our country simply cannot survive as founded, and continue to allow/condone the rampant corruption such as insider trading by senators (and probably many other officials), the coup against our duly elected president, the quid pro quos, influence pedaling through bogus “Charity” foundations, pay to play, a largely corrupt judiciary, DOJ/FBI/IC, media (D), academia, and many other institutions.

Attorney General Barr, you took the job, and took an oath to defend the constitution. It is time to see something positive from your department for America, its constitution, and its people happen! DC is a target rich environment and so far your department is isn’t even firing duds at the target that a blind and deaf person could find; sloths are acting with more alacrity than you and your department – the same goes for the chief justice of the SC.

Time to make something happen, or admit that you are (like Sessions) in over your head or are just too much of a swamp creature to effect needed change. The fact that you wanted the FISA renewed without change and have not indicted anyone who has been referred to YOU by the your IG speaks volumes. Schiff or get off the pot.

President Trump, you have been masterful in getting things done under the radar noise of the media’s crisis de jour, it is time to do wholesale firings which would go largely unnoticed during the current CHINA virus “crisis”.

************

When I was in the navy and the naval reserve we periodically got training on a wide variety of non-military subjects. Here is the one we got on ethics:

A junior officer was an aid to an admiral who sat on a board that was to make the decision on whether the navy was going to continue to buy the Grumman F-14 Tomcat, or instead, stop the Tomcat program and purchase the new McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet. He was present at the meeting which made the decision to cancel the Tomcat and go with the Hornet – this was a multi billion dollar decision which was made several days before the official announcement. Predictably Grumman stock plummeted and McDonnell Douglas stock rose when the decision was made public.

He was in a position to either sell his Grumman stock and/or buy McDonnell Douglas stock to his personal advantage. He told us that had he done such a transaction, it would be INSIDER TRADING and illegal and immoral. He went on to further state that military personnel who were found to be USING THEIR POSITION FOR PERSONAL GAIN would be severely punished to include at least fines, restriction, and quite possibly at least an other than honorable discharge.

I received similar introductory training when I became a civilian government employee. We also got required yearly online training on this and other matters on how to conduct ourselves while employed in a trusted position with the US Government. We were required to certify that we understood and would faithfully follow the rules and regulations in order to maintain our clearances and employment.

Last I checked, representatives and senators, and their staffs are GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES who are bound by the same rules and regulations as are the thousands of peons work for the US (and not foreign) government.

I have to hope and believe that they got the same training., but maybe not – it is congress after all, and we know they live under a different set of rules…

Regardless, ignorance of the law is no excuse and it is not a viable defense.

If the government (DOJ) won’t do its job, it is time for we, the people, to Schiff-can these traitors.

Inhofe (R) OK, 85 years old is up this year – primary time!

Burr (RINO) NC, 64 years old is up in 2022, but has announced he will not seek re-election – resignation and prosecution time!

Loeffler (RINO) GA, 49 years old – appointed to fill the retired Johnny Isakson’s seat by Gov. Kemp. The seat is up in 2022, but, depending on GA law, she could be forced to run for election this year. Don’t really want to have to defend another GOP senate seat, but corrupt and/or RINOs are not needed from a solid RED state.

Feinstein (D) CA, 86 years old is up in 2024 – regardless of what happens to her between now and then it doesn’t matter because the CA Gov. Newsom would probably name Schiff or some other radical for the remainder of her term.

That is all.

Why Senator Richard Burr May be in Deep Doo-doo

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Congress’s seamy underbelly floats up to the surface. – On his Fox News show last night, host Tucker Carlson lambasted Senator Richard Burr – chairman of the corrupt Senate Intelligence Committee – and demanded his resignation for off-loading millions of dollars in stock investments immediately after learning of the threat of the coronavirus.

Here’s a clip, followed by a transcript:

Transcript:

You may have seen the news reports this afternoon that the Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee sold more than a million dollars in stock in mid-February after learning how devastating the Chinese coronavirus could be. He had inside information about what could happen to our country – which is now happening – but he didn’t warn the public. He didn’t give a prime-time address. He didn’t go on television to sound the alarm.

He didn’t even disavow  the op/ed he’d written just 10 days before, claiming that America was “better prepared than ever for coronavirus.” He didn’t do any of those things. Instead, what did he do? He dumped his shares in hotel stocks so he wouldn’t lose money, and then he stayed silent.

Now, maybe there’s an honest explanation for what he did; if there is, he should share it with the rest of us immediately. Otherwise, he must resign from the Senate and face prosecution for insider trading. There is no greater moral crime than betraying your country in a time of crisis, and that appears to be what happened.

[End]

Now, that’s all great: I have long been a critic of Burr, a useless RINO who has used his chairmanship of the Senate Intel Committee to literally cover up crimes committed against the Trump Campaign and Administration by the Obama-era coup cabal within the DOJ and the Intelligence Community. If he did engage in insider trading then he should resign and be prosecuted.

But let’s be honest here: If you think Burr is the only member of congress who has engaged in this kind of action over the past couple of months, you live in a fairy tale world.

The New York Times ran a report yesterday documenting similar actions by several other senators, including Kelly Loeffler (R-GA), Jim Inhofe (R-OK) and Dianne Feinstein (D-CA). That report is based on financial disclosure statements that members of congress must periodically file. Members are regularly tardy in filing these disclosures, and you can bet the shrinking balance in your 401(k) that we will soon discover that many more members did the same thing.

Some members, when they assume office, shield themselves from this kind of accusation by placing such investments in blind trusts, giving them the plausible deniability of saying that they take no active part in managing their investments. Inhofe, Feinstein and Loeffler all claim that is the case with their investments.

Interestingly, no one from Sen. Burr’s office has made a similar claim at this point. Here’s the statement his spokesperson put out yesterday evening:

“His message has always been, and continues to be, that we must be prepared to protect American lives in the event of a pandemic or bio-attack,” Caitlin Carroll, a spokeswoman for Mr. Burr, said in a statement. “Since early February, whether in constituent meetings or open hearings, he has worked to educate the public about the tools and resources our government has to confront the spread of coronavirus.”

Burr himself took to Twitter to issue a series of tweets about an NPR report covering a speech he made to a group of constituents in February, warning them of the potential impacts of coronavirus on the U.S. economy. Nowhere in those tweets does he attempt to defend his stock divestments.

If Burr does play an active role in managing his own trading, then this is a real problem for him, and helps to explain why Carlson went after him last night, but gave the others a pass.

That is all.

Coming Soon: The Deep State Smear of Ric Grenell

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

President Donald Trump (I still never tire of typing those three glorious words) loves to make history. He’s really good at it – better than anyone, in fact.

Last night, the President decided to make another piece of history that all of his predecessors in office, from the most conservative Republican to the most leftist Democrat, have taken a pass on doing:

Thus, Ambassador Grenell will become the first openly gay man to serve in a cabinet position. Ever.

Now, that’s not why Grenell was chosen for this job – the President picks his people based on their skills and qualifications, not on their identities in some minority group or another. Mr. Grenell is completely qualified for this post and would no doubt perform extremely well in it.

But isn’t it interesting that, for all of his lip service towards supporting the priorities of the LGBTQ community, and all of his open efforts to select a cabinet that, in his words, “looks like America,” Barack Hussein Obama his own self took a complete pass for 8 long years on setting this bit of history? Obama didn’t do it because he’s a standard politician whose every move is dictated by polling and focus group data, and he feared making this particular move might cause his public approval rating to tick down a point or two.

Trump is doing it because, well, he’s Trump, and because, in his judgment, Grenell is the best person available for the job.

But Grenell had better be girded for a fight, because, in order to become the permanent Director of National Intelligence (DNI), he must be confirmed by the Senate. And being confirmed by the Senate means that he must first obtain a majority vote in the Senate Committee on Intelligence (SCI), which has proven itself over the last 3 years to be a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Deep State.

From GOP Chairman Richard Burr to Democrat ranking member Mark Warner, and all up and down its roster, this committee is filled to the gills with Deep State hacks who are intent on keeping the DNI position in full possession of the professional Administrative State. That transparent goal is why the members of the SCI overtly killed President Trump’s nomination of Texas GOP congressman John Ratcliffe to fill the post last summer, precisely because Ratcliffe is viewed as an independent actor who is actually supportive of the President’s policies and goals.

Now, we have just gone through several months of Democrats, RINOs and the corrupt news media telling us that professionals in America’s diplomatic corps are all superheroes who simply must be honored, respected and perhaps even worshiped for their service. These people have been portrayed as beyond reproach, and certainly beyond criticism from mere mortals.

Yeah, you won’t be hearing any similar rhetoric about Mr. Grenell. What we will no doubt suddenly hear instead is how someone who has spent years in two major posts at the State Department just doesn’t possess the judgment or mysterious skills needed to run the Intelligence Community (IC). And it won’t just be Grenell’s qualifications that will be assaulted here: While RINOs like Burr and others sitting on the SCI will focus on that area, the media and Democrats will go after his character as well, exactly as they are in the process of doing with Attorney General William Barr.

This is how the card-carrying members of the Deep State attack anyone they perceive to be a threat. Make no mistake about this: Getting a true Trump loyalist into the DNI job would represent a clear and present danger to the Deep State’s continued existence.

That’s because it was the IC under Barack Obama that organized the illegal spying efforts on the Trump Campaign in 2015-16, and led the effort to fix that election. All the deep, dirty secrets remaining related to those operations and so many others are buried deep within the bowels of the IC.

So, we’re about to see a war over Grenell’s appointment starting today. If President Trump wants him to fill the position for more than the 180 days in which he can serve as Acting DNI, it’s going to take all of his influence and the influence of Mitch McConnell as well to make it happen.

Making temporary history is fairly easy for a President, like Trump, who is unafraid of the media and the polls. Making that history permanent, though, is going to become a vicious fight.

That is all.

Tucker Carlson and Rand Paul Lambast Lindsey Graham – But What About Richard Burr?

Today’s Campaign Update, PART II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Why should the Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee get a pass? – No one is more frustrated with the empty promises of Lindsey Graham than I am. The Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, who must stand for re-election to his South Carolina Senate seat in 2020, has spent this entire year rushing before the nearest TV camera to make empty promise after empty promise about his plans to force people to testify before his committee.

He’s done this so many times, he has become the Senate’s version of the boy who cried wolf. It’s to the point now where it is near-impossible to take the guy seriously anymore. On his nightly Fox News program last night, Tucker Carlson aired an entire segment on the issue, which included an interview with Senator Rand Paul:

So, yes, Sen. Graham is failing in his duty as chairman. I wrote early this year that, due to his rumored lifestyle, Graham may be one of the most easily-compromised members of the Senate, and it certainly appears as if he has been compromised, and is afraid to exercise the powers of his chairmanship. This is sad and detestable, but it really should come as no surprise to anyone.

Graham richly deserves every bit of criticism he gets from Carlson, Sen. Paul and anyone else who weighs in on this subject – no argument there. His committee has jurisdiction over everything that took place within the Department of Justice and the FBI during 2016 through 2018, and it is now crystal clear Graham has no intention of making any effort whatsoever to hold anyone accountable.

His committee also has the power to subpoena each and every witness being interrogated in the basement of the Capitol Building by Adam Schiff in the fake impeachment charade, but it is obvious now that Graham, despite his threats, has no intention of doing that, either. He deserves to be primaried by a real conservative Republican next year, and to be defeated.

But there is another very powerful Chairman of a very powerful Senate committee – the Intelligence Committee – who also has jurisdiction over every action the coup cabal took during the past three years, and who also has done literally nothing to try to hold anyone accountable.

That Chairman is RINO Richard Burr of North Carolina, and he seems to just get a pass from Carlson and Paul and everyone else for his studious inaction. If anything, given what we now know today about the Comey/Brennan operation Crossfire Hurricane, which involved multiple efforts to entrap members of the Trump campaign by foreign CIA operatives on foreign soil, Burr’s committee should have and even more compelling reason to hold hearings and subpoena witnesses to try to ferret out the truth and hold officials accountable.

But…crickets. Not just from Burr and his committee, but from Tucker Carlson, Rand Paul and everyone else.

Has Sen. Burr been compromised by the deep state, too? Or does he just not give a damn? Either way, the public deserves to know what in the hell is going on here?

That is all.

Congress is a Plague of Liars, Skunks and Eunuchs

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

One problem with the testimony of Acting DNI Joseph Maguire. – Joseph Maguire generally did quite well in refuting the Democrats’ phony scandal-mongering, and made it very clear that he followed the letter of the law throughout the process of reviewing the fake whistleblower complaint he with which was confronted.

Just one problem, though: At several points in response to questions from both Republicans and Democrats, Maguire claimed he was “certain” that the leaks to the press related to the whistleblower situation did not come from “anyone in the IC (Intel Community).” Sorry, but that simply cannot be a true statement. There is no way on earth he or anyone else can be certain that no one in the IC leaked this information or caused it to be leaked, especially now that we know that the fake whistleblower is in fact a CIA agent, which means that some if not all of the people feeding him the largely-false information contained in his complaint were also employees of CIA or other IC agencies.

Granted, we also now know that Bug-Eyed Adam Schiff has had this complaint in his grubby paws since August, so it there can be no doubt that he and his staff have done at least some of the leaking. That’s what those despicable cretins do, after all. But there is simply no way Maguire can possibly be certain that zero leaks of this highly-classified information came from anyone in the IC. He should be forced by the Committee and frankly by the President to revise those remarks for the record.

Yesterday’s revelation about the fake whistleblower’s identity proves conclusively that President Trump has been right yet again with his ongoing complaints that he and his staff continue to be spied upon by the CIA and other IC agencies. At the very least, he should eliminate the ability of anyone from the IC to listen in on his calls with other world leaders. His ability – and the ability of all future presidents – to hold such calls in the future has already been irreparably harmed by the Democrats’ disgraceful behavior over this phony complaint. Getting the spooks off the calls might help to repair at least some of the damage done.

Trump also needs to find a replacement for CIA Director Gina Haspel. Obviously, she’s a worthless hack who, like FBI Director Christopher Wray, has done nothing to clean up her agency and its illegal spying activities. In a perfect world, both agencies would be broken into a million pieces and scattered to the winds, as John F. Kennedy famously threatened to do to the CIA after the Bay of Pigs fiasco 58 years ago. Of course, JFK was conveniently assassinated just two years later, and the CIA’s problem was solved.

The truth about those two agencies is that both have been utterly corrupt institutions since the day of their founding, and that corruption was taken to new heights during the Obama years, culminating in a coordinated effort to spy on an American presidential campaign and then to mount a coup d’etat when their preferred candidate failed to win.

This fake whistleblower complaint by a reported Obama loyalist exists due to the failure to mount any real effort to clean the evil minions out of the CIA. That, of course, is due to the fact that anyone President Trump can get confirmed by the Senate must first be approved by the Senate Intelligence Committee led by deep state skunk Republican Richard Burr of North Carolina. Haspel, a loyal lieutenant to John Brennan during the Obama years, is in that job now because she could be confirmed. Coincidentally, Mr. Maguire is in his job rather than Texas Rep. John Ratcliffe – Trump’s first choice – because Burr gave his nod of approval to Maguire after promising to block Ratcliffe.

Wray is in his job for the same reason.  Are you seeing a pattern here?

The reality here is that the IC remains a collection of corrupt institutions who spy on their own citizens and even their own President not because of Democrats, but because of compromised/corrupt Republican senators like Burr who remain loyal to the deep state instead of the American people.

Damn them all to hell.

About that Adam Schiff soliloquy to start the hearing… – Many Republicans are whining and moaning this morning about Schiff and his statement to begin the hearing in which he completely fabricated what was said on the call between President Trump and Ukraine President Zelensky. Yes, it was despicable, yes it was just another in a long line of treasonous acts by a treasonous Democrat, but why would we expect anything else?

And while we’re all whining and moaning about the fact that the Democrat-toady TV channels are all simply playing Schiff’s latest fabrications without critical comment, why aren’t we demanding to know why not one of the Republicans in that room spoke up and objected while he was doing it?

Devin Nunes, normally a stellar guy, was sitting 6 inches from Schiff throughout that false statement. At least 7 other Republican members of the committee were sitting there as well. Why didn’t any one of them have the presence of mind to raise an objection with the Chair, calling him out for literally making sh*t up? Indeed, Nunes didn’t even say a word about it when he, as the Ranking Member, was the first Republican to question the witness. We were half an hour into the damn hearing before one Republican, Mike Turner of Ohio, finally had the presence of mind to berate Schiff for his act of outright mendacity.

Thus, the reason why your fake news media has that squeaky-clean, uninterrupted video of Schiff making his false statement to brainwash the masses with this morning is that the GOP members of that committee were all sitting there like a bunch of damn eunuchs while he was doing it.

Good lord.

That is all.

Watch Trey Gowdy Defend John Ratcliffe

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Former South Carolina Congressman Trey Gowdy appeared on Sunday Morning Futures with Maria Bartiromo. During the course of the interview, Gowdy went off on an epic rant defending the honor of his friend John Ratcliffe, whose nomination to become the next Director of National Intelligence was torpedoed this week by RINO Richard Burr and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

If you missed it, watch it below. It’ll be the best 2 minutes you spend all day:

The D. C. Swamp Strikes Back! Ratcliffe Out…Hoekstra In?

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this #Winning yet? – Another month, another sterling jobs report. The private sector beat “expert” expectations yet again by adding 164,000 new jobs during the month of July, finishing the month with an all-time record 157,288,000 Americans gainfully employed. Even more encouraging is the fact that almost 400,000 Americans moved from the part-time jobs that characterized the Obama economy to the good-paying full-time jobs that are the centerpiece of the Trump economy. This truly never, ever gets old.

She’s gonna need some new script-writers. – The Chief of Staff and Communications Director for Anti-Semite Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez both resigned late on Friday under ongoing pressure from San Fran Nan and her house leadership goons.

The two Alinskyite lunatics, whose names I’m not going to specify on this site (AOC’s is enough work to expend on these garbage people for one morning) had come under fire last month after the Chief of Staff had accused Pelosi of “singling out women of color” and a referred to non-Marxist Democrats as segregationists.

Both men came to AOC from the despicable “Justice Democrats”, the group that supplies the fake congresswoman with her daily scripts. Their vacant positions will no doubt be filled with more staffers who have been trained by that anti-American Alinskyite group. As we have repeatedly seen, AOC is utterly helpless and sounds like a slow-learning 4th-grader whenever she attempts to speak without reciting from those daily scripts, so an injection of new blood from that group is essential for her continuing charade.

The Swamp Strikes Back! – D.C. Swamp rats from both political parties have won the first parry in the battle to replace the fired Dan Coats as the new Director of the Office of National Intelligence. Texas Congressman John Ratcliffe withdrew his name from consideration for the post yesterday amid a growing slime campaign in the national fake news media and ongoing behind-the-scenes opposition from GOP swamp rats like North Carolina Senator Richard Burr.

The Swamp Rats are now pushing hard to convince President Trump to nominate Coats’s Swampy Deputy, Sue Gordon, to become the new acting director when Coats leaves the post on August 15. Gordon has received endorsement tweets from an array of Deep State Usual Suspects in recent days, including Adam Schiff, John Brennan, James Comey and Rod Rosenstein, so you know she is someone who would do everything she can to block efforts to get at the cabal who attempted to fix the 2016 election and then tried to execute a coup d’etat throughout 2017 and 2018.

The fake news media is of course mounting a focused campaign to pressure the President to appoint Gordon to the post on a permanent basis. If he does that, then you can forget about any meaningful declassification of key documents taking place, as Gordon would be able to use her post as a roadblock.

The problem the President has is that the Swamp has now laid down its marker related to this crucial position as a hill on which it is willing to die, and there are half a dozen or more fake Republicans like Burr who are willing to help lead that battle. So, in order to get anyone confirmed in the Senate, where the Republicans hold a 53-47 majority, he is going to have to nominate someone with credentials that include experience in or around the nation’s seamy intelligence community.

The good news there is that the Wall Street Journal reported late Friday evening that Mr. Trump is considering former Michigan Congressman and current U.S. Ambassador to The Netherlands Pete Hoekstra as his next nominee for the post. How would Hoekstra fit the Swamp’s criteria? Well, as an early Trump supporter during the 2016 campaign, he wouldn’t.

But here’s the thing: Hoekstra is a former Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, a post he held from 2004 through 2007. That little item on his resume would rob the Deep State hacks of the argument – which they used against Ratcliffe this week – that he lacks an understanding of the nation’s intelligence operations.

Hoekstra not only understands those operations, as former Chairman of that committee, he knows where all the bodies are buried. Nominating Hoekstra might be another Trump masterstroke.

As President Trump likes to say, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

That is all.

End of Week Summation: Trump Just Keeps on Winning

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Some Friday odds and ends. – Michael Barthel at the Pew Research Center has a very telling piece up this week about the state of the media in America, by the numbers. Key findings include the fact that total newspaper circulation fell in 2018 to its lowest point since 1940, down about 9% from 2017. Ad revenue was off by a whopping 13% year over year. I can’t think of a more deserving industry – led as it is by the news-faking New York Times and Washington Post – to suffer such a fate.

Tired of all this #WINNING yet? – It’s buried waaaaaayyyyyy down in the bowels of the report, but the IMF this week upgraded its 2019 economic growth forecast for the U.S. economy from 2.3% to 2.6%. For 2020, the IMF forecasts a U.S. GDP growth rate of 1.9%. It’s important to remember that the IMF has made a habit of underestimating U.S. growth rates in recent years.  Gosh, wonder why?

No collusion, yet again. – The Senate Intelligence Committee, chaired by RINO Richard Burr of North Carolina, issued a report on its long-overdue investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 elections yesterday, and guess what it found? No collusion.

The report of course alleges that the Russians attempted to interfere in the 2016 elections in a variety of ways – something they have done in every U.S. election cycle since 1920 – and notes that the Obama DHS was ineffectual in doing anything about it:

While the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and FBI warned states about cyber attacks in the summer and fall of 2016, their warnings “did not provide enough information or go to the right people,” the report said.

But, despite thousands of fake media reports to the contrary, the report, in its very next paragraph, notes that the Trump Administration has made significant strides in dealing with the issue:

Since then, the government’s actions have “evolved significantly,” the committee determined, noting DHS had made “great strides” in educating and providing assistance to state and local election officials.

The progress made by DHS and election officials, “is a testament to what we can accomplish when we give people the opportunity to be part of a solution,” Republican Sen. Richard Burr of North Carolina, the committee’s chairman, said in a statement. “There is still much work that remains to be done, however.”

Man, it had to be hard for Burr to utter those words, after all the toadying he has done for ranking Democrat Mark Warner throughout the course of this ridiculous investigation.

President Trump is such a threat to our nation’s security that we will now spend the next six weeks going on lavish junkets at taxpayer expense. – Barely 24 hours after having spent all day Wednesday claiming that President Donald Trump is an existential threat to our nation’s security and that they would never, never, never, ever take a moment’s rest until he is removed from office, House Democrats led by Nancy Pelosi adjourned their chamber for a six-week-long vacation.

I swear I don’t make this stuff up.

If a congressional hearing is held and nobody’s watching, does it really make a sound? – But hey, it turns out it didn’t much matter since so few Americans were actually watching Wednesday’s festivities. All combined, the audiences for the coverage of the Mueller hearing on ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, MSNBC, Fox News and C-Span totaled just 13 million people. That’s slightly less than 4% of the U.S. population, folks.

At the end of the day, the vaunted Mueller Investigation, which Democrats and their myriad toadies in the national news media assured you all for two solid years would bring down a duly-elected President of the United States of America, went out not with a bang, but with a doddering, stammering, bumbling whimper.

Regardless of what the Democrat/media propaganda complex attempts to do next, from this point forward, the President and the Department of Justice will be playing offense in this fight to save the country.

See? There really still is justice in America.

That is all.

Bad Lindsey Graham Has Made a Comeback

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Bad Lindsey Graham has re-taken the body. – In case you hadn’t noticed, Bad Lindsey Graham has made a comeback this year. Good Lindsey Graham came increasingly to the fore last year as John McCain’s absence due to illness and subsequent death released Graham from his daily duties of following McCain around like a puppy on a leash.

Unleashed Lindsey turned out to be a pretty consistently conservative guy and loyal supporter of his country’s best interests and of a President from his own party, quite the direct contrast to Senator From the News Media McCain. Go figure. He was so good, in fact, that his powerful, impromptu speech before the Senate Judiciary Committee in the midst of the Democrats’ despicable smearing of Brett Kavanaugh last October very likely changed the entire course of that nomination.

So it was that, when Unleashed Lindsey ascended to the Chairmanship of the Senate Judiciary Committee in January, conservatives were encouraged that he would continue the aggressive conduct of the Committee’s business that we had seen under Chuck Grassley. Grassley had done stellar work in confirming judicial nominees and investigating the real criminals in the Spygate scandal. Unleashed Lindsey himself talked a good game, promising repeatedly throughout the winter and into the spring to use his chairmanship to aggressively pursue the Obama-era scumbags who utterly corrupted the FBI and intelligence agencies. As recently as March 25, Graham was overtly promising that his Committee would conduct its own, parallel investigation into Spygate’s origins even as Attorney General William Barr conducted his own inquiry at the Department of Justice.

But since then? Crickets.

As the Democrat-dominated House committees have tossed out hundreds of subpoenas and conducted an aggressive hearing schedule designed to turn public opinion against President Donald Trump and the GOP, Unleashed Lindsey has done…nothing. Not a single hearing. Not one subpoena. No letters to the DOJ containing criminal referrals.

Nothing. Zero. Zip. Zilch. Nada.

Unleashed Lindsey, it seems, has been re-leashed, and this time we don’t have John McCain to blame. Indeed, there is no difference at all between Re-Leashed Lindsey’s conduct of the Judiciary Committee and the conduct of the Senate Intelligence Committee by its’ Chairman, deep state skunk Richard Burr of North Carolina. With Republican “friends” like these controlling the key Senate committees, President Trump has no need for enemies.

So, who has “gotten to” Re-Leashed Lindsey? Does it matter, really? Back in early May, the Campaign Update expressed the concern that Graham was one of the most easily-compromisable senators in Washington. It appears that concern was well-founded.

Graham and his Committee continue to confirm President Trump’s judicial nominees at a record pace, and for that we should all be grateful, since Obama, in his efforts to corrupt every institution in our society, had obviously succeeded in corrupting the federal judiciary as well. But Re-Leashed Lindsey’s do-nothing posture towards his Committee’s investigative powers will, if continued, forever be a stain on his senate career.

That is all.

The Week in Review, PART I: More Beto Fails and Deep State Panic

Today’s Campaign Update, Part I
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

[The week just past as seen through the @GDBlackmon Twitter feed.]

The week began with another Climate Scammer proving that Climate Change is nothing more or less than a global religious cult. Things got better – much, much better – from there.

Hey, y’all! The “world’s fastest bullet train” goes a whopping 224 mph, not even half the speed of the typical airliner. Note to @AOC and fans of her nitwitted Green New Deal: This is NOT a workable substitute for air travel. Full stop.

This was the week we got to meet the “new Beto.” We discovered that not much had changed. Not much at all.

It was the week that Michigan Democrat Rashida Tlaib told us how she really feels about the Holocaust, and boy was it revealing.

It was maybe more revealing about the true sympathies of the Democrat leadership than Tlaib, in fact, given that no thinking person could have held any doubts about Ms. Tlaib’s antisemitism.

The disgrace who is Tlaib was so obvious that even CNN felt the need to be temporarily honest about it.

It was the week Tim Conway died, and America became a little less amusing.

John Nolte captured everyone’s true hopes and aspirations for the fate of National Teenage Drama Queen James Comey.

It was the week we found out that this guy had already been investigating the investigators for a period of weeks, and we were just fine with that.

Unsurprisingly, it did not take long for the Democrat/Media smear machine to kick things into gear. *sigh*

Who was the last president who had the balls to travel to Louisiana to celebrate the great strength and progress of our nation’s oil and gas industry with a bunch of guys wearing hard hats? Hint: There is no correct answer to this question.

Oh, hey, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said something incredibly ignorant again. In other news, water continued to freeze at 32 degrees Fahrenheit.

Not much to add here.

What do you mean, “as if”, Brent?

The folks at the Babylon Bee were on an epic roll this past week, which is just par for the course.

It was a week the Deep State skunks and snakes spent desperately trying – and failing – to secure favorable narratives for themselves as the wheels of justice at William Barr’s DOJ continue grinding.

And I’m going to have to cut this off right there, because WordPress has apparently run out of steam here. I’ll do the rest of the week in Part II to follow shortly.

Why Ed Markey is Desperate to Avoid Voting on His “Green New Deal”

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Oh. Why, nobody could’ve seen that coming. Oh, wait… – Useless North Carolina RINO Senator Richard Burr told the leering press yesterday that the incredibly mis-named Senate Intelligence Committee has found no evidence of “collusion” with Russia by the Trump Campaign, Trump Transition Team or Trump Administration. Go figure.

Like American Gestapo Chief, er, “Special Counsel” Robert Mueller, Senate Intel is winding down its fake investigation because there is no “there” there – never was, isn’t now, and never will be. Democrats and fake journalists who really bought into this fantasy play expressed their shock and dismay, but Burr and his partner in this fake investigation – Virginia Democrat Senator Mark Warner – are finally giving up the ghost and directing their committee to move onto greener pastures.

Hey, here’s an idea – maybe y’all can go back to doing your actual job and start exercising a little congressional oversight over the nation’s still-corrupt “intelligence” community. What a novel concept.

Sen. Ed Markey wants to “sponsor” the incredibly destructive “Green New Deal”… – but he just doesn’t want to “vote” for the incredibly destructive “Green New Deal.” That was the message sent out by the despicable Democrat from Massachusetts on Tuesday after Mitch McConnell told the press he is making plans to hold a vote on the hilariously inept congressional resolution that Alexandria Ocasio Cortez rolled out into the public domain last week.

“I’ve noted with great interest the Green New Deal,” McConnell said, “And we’re going to be voting on that in the Senate. Give everybody an opportunity to go on record and see how they feel about the Green New Deal.” In other words, the Senate Majority Leader wants to get every Democrat member in that body on the record supporting things like destroying the miracle of air flight, destroying the nation’s thriving oil and gas industry, making cars too expensive for all but the wealthy to afford and throwing the United States quickly into an economic depression that would make the 1930s look like a walk in the park.

Sen. Markey wants none of that voting nonsense. He wants to be able to keep up his 30-year practice of being a rank demagogue on the “Global Warming” issue without actually having votes in favor of the invariably-Socialist/fascist “solutions” proposed by the fake “green” community dirtying up his record.

Thus it was that, shortly after McConnell made his promise to hold a vote, Markey issued this response that reeks of desperation:

“Don’t let Mitch McConnell fool you: this is nothing but an attempt to sabotage the movement we are building. He wants to silence your voice so Republicans don’t have to explain why they are climate change deniers. McConnell wants this to be the end, this is just the beginning.”

Yeah, it’s a “beginning” all right – Markey may or may not realize it just yet, but the roll-out of this creepy proposal to turn our country into just another starving, third-world socialist/fascist failed state is indeed the beginning of the end of the Democrat Party’s quest to regain the levers of power in Washington. Democrats have only managed to win elections over the past half-century by lying about their real beliefs and intentions. The Green New Deal removes that mask for all to see, and it is an incredibly ugly face that most Americans will never support.

So, in case you’re wondering, that is why Markey and other senate Democrats will do everything they can to avoid casting a vote on AOC’s incredibly destructive proposal.

Hey, maybe this is another reason… – You don’t have to believe me or any other conservative voice on how awful the Green New Deal really is – you could listen to the founder of the far-left eco-terrorist group “GreenPeace” if you want.

Patrick Moore, in an interview with the New American, basically characterized Markey’s proposal as a global suicide pact:  “It is quite amazing that someone that is in government — actually elected to the government of the United States of America — would propose that we eliminate all fossil fuels in 12 years,” he said in an on-camera interview with The New American from Canada. “This would basically result, if we did it on a global level, it would result in the decimation of the human population from 7-odd billion down to who knows how few people.”

Oh. Well, gosh, maybe it isn’t such a great idea, then.

Hold the vote, Mitch. Put these soulless ghouls on the record for posterity.

That is all.

DOJ Brings the Hammer Down on the Senate Intelligence Committee

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Here’s what 40 years of Democrats refusing to address the state’s water supply have done for California… – “Californians May Have to Choose Between Showers and Laundry with New 55-Gallon Water Limit.”  That’s the headline of a PJ Media story detailing the looming impacts of two new bills just signed into law by California Governor Jerry Brown, the provisions of which would impose draconian new water conservation measures on ordinary Californians, while naturally also providing exemptions for all the state’s wealthy, who are overwhelmingly white Democrats like Nancy Pelosi, Dianne Feinstein and Gov. Brown.

The bills would impose fines of up to $10,000 per day for violators, while at the same time providing exemptions for swimming pools, spas and those ever-popular “water features” in all the state’s 6-figure swimming pools.  This is the Democrat Party in action, folks, and they want to bring this kind of elitist discrimination to the rest of the country.  Don’t kid yourselves otherwise.

Tired of all this Winning yet?  Part I – Tuesday was a really lousy day for the Democrats, with voter enthusiasm and turnout down in Democrat primaries and up in GOP races all over the country.  With the fake news media-promoted “Blue Wave” in danger of fading from memory, the news fakers at the raging dumpster fire that is NBC News felt the need to issue a fake poll  purporting to show the Democrats holding a 10 point lead once again in the congressional generic ballot measure.

As I chronicled during the 2016 campaign, this is a tactic that NBC and ABC seemed be tag-teaming during the general election, issuing some wild outlier poll anytime the RealClearPolitics polling average between the Pantsuit Princess and Donald Trump became uncomfortably close.  Guess this week was NBC’s turn.  It’s truly pathetic, but its what these people do.

Tired of all this Winning yet?  Part II – Perhaps the most gratifying aspect of Tuesdays results in California came in the fact that almost all of the George Soros-backed district attorney candidates got their evil heads handed to them.  Soros has been pouring tens of millions of dollars into local district attorney races all over the country this year in an attempt to put soft-on-crime prosecutors in place in his never-ending efforts to completely destroy American society.

It’s always a great day for America when Soros has a bad day.

And this time he really, really means it!  Promise.  Really.  Seriously, he isn’t kidding this time.  You betcha. – DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz sent a letter to the House Oversight Committee that he will be releasing his report on the FBI’s fake investigation into the Pantsuit Princess’s email scandal on June 14.  He has also agreed to appear before that committee to testify on June 18.

Guess what?  June 14 also happens to be Donald J. Trump’s 72nd birthday.  Happy birthday to you!

Wait, what?  Jeff Sessions is still alive and on the job?  Who knew? – The Justice Department announced on Thursday the indictment of one James A. Wolfe, 58, who has served as the Senate Intelligence Committee’s director of security for nearly three decades, for  allegedly making “false statements to agents in December about his contacts with three reporters.”  Investigators are looking into allegations that Wolfe leaked classified information to his girlfriend, a reporter who works for…wait for it…can you guess?…the New York Times!  Wow, that’s a shocker, right?

Ok, it was a 50/50 shot – the only other logical guess would have been the Washington Post, but the Times had a leg up on the competition for this particular criminal endeavor.  The Senate Intel Committee is that execrable bunch led by deep state Republican Richard Burr and ranking Democrat Mark Warner.  The roster includes a veritable who’s who of deep state Rs and Ds including Dianne Feinstein, Marco Rubio, Roy Blount, Angus King and Kamala Harris.

So, it’s only natural that the senior staffer thought to be leaking national security secrets to some leftwing NYTimes reporter named Ali Watkins – whose leftist resume’ sports previous stops at places like Buzzfeed, Politico and McClatchy News – works for this specific committee.  Remember, this is the same committee that gave us Daniel Jones, the former Feinstein shill who in late 2017 raised $50 million from Democrat donors to pay Christopher Steele and Fusion GPS to start dummying up a second fake Trump Dossier.  No word which NYTimes or WaPo reporter Jones is dating, but it’s apparently a safe bet there is one.

Oh, and guess what?  CNN reported last night that Mr. Jones is also now the subject of a DOJ investigation for alleged leaks of classified information.  Of course, it is CNN, so that report could turn out to be hilariously fake, but at this point it’s all the information we have.

Anyway, as a part of the investigation into Mr. Wolfe, Justice Department lawyers “notified Watkins on Feb. 13 that the DOJ had obtained information on her Google email accounts and Verizon phone, the Times reported. The seized records spanned years before and after Watkins joined the Times in 2017 to cover federal law enforcement.” The Times and the rest of the fake news media is in a big uproar about this tactic this morning.  Funny, they didn’t seem to care much when the Obama DOJ did that and far, far worse to Fox News reporter James Rosen and the dogged Sharryl Atkisson, who then worked for CBS.

But now that a Republican is in the White House, suddenly the fake news media gives a damn about the first amendment.  Funny how that works, huh?

But here’s the thing about that first amendment deal:  It is there to protect a free and independent press so it can serve as the public’s watchdog.  It was not intended to protect a bunch of hyper-partisan hacks who work every day to negatively impact the national security of the United States.

News organs that refuse to live up to that responsibility deserve what they get.

Just another day in Jeff Sessions Lives! America.

That is all.
