Waiting for Barr and Durham: The 2020 Sequel to “Waiting For Godot”

Justice Department probe into Russia investigation could extend into late summer - CNNPolitics

In the last 48 hours we have discovered the following related to Spygate/Obamagate:

– The release of a series of text messages between multiple FBI personnel revealing that they knew the spying on the Trump campaign and efforts to frame General Mike Flynn were highly illegal and that they were so concerned about their own situations that they went out and purchased personal liability insurance policies in January, 2017;

– The revelation that the sub-source for Christopher Steele’s fake Dossier on Donald Trump was in fact a Russian agent and had been deemed by the freaking FBI itself as a “national security threat” as early as 2009. Despite this knowledge, James Comey and his FBI freak show allowed the Dossier to be used as the sole basis for no fewer than 4 fraudulent applications for FISA warrants to spy on the Trump Campaign, Transition Team and Administration;

– The fact that Hunter Biden, while his dear old Daddy was squiring him all over the world to peddle influence to various nefarious characters, received a wire transfer from the wife of the former Mayor of Moscow for $3.5 million and several other wires of several hundred thousand dollars each.

In the face of all of these revelations in a 48 hour period, our national news media yawns and continues to pretend that President Trump is the guy with a Russia problem.

It was in light of these revelations and the Democrat/media’s current “peaceful transfer of power” hoax that I wrote a piece on Thursday asking “When do we get Our Peaceful Transfer of Power for 2016?” because that is something we never received from Obama and his evil minions, who are still today running a shadow government operation designed to regain the presidency. Joe Biden is just the bumbling meat suit face of that effort.

The next question to ask is, when are any of the people involved in this never-ending coup d’etat effort going to be held accountable by William Barr, John Durham and the Department of Justice? We found out on Thursday that Durham did in fact take over the investigation of all the myriad crimes of the Clinton Foundation from do-nothing U.S. Attorney John Huber early this year, as has long been rumored. But, just as with his plodding Spygate and Obamagate investigation, we have seen no fruit from that effort, despite Barr’s promises that such fruit would be borne by the end of summer.

Oops. We are now three days past that deadline.

I had an email from a friend in DC last night saying that rumors are flying that something’s going to happen today. That would make some sense in a very DC Swampy kind of way, given that Fridays are traditionally the day when when the Swamp’s snakes and skunks love to make big news so it will dominate the Sunday talk shows. But we’ve heard those rumors many times before and have been let down each and every time. Waiting for John Durham to actually do something is like the old movie “Waiting for Godot”. We keep waiting, but Godot never arrives.

Meanwhile, we are about to have an election in less than 6 weeks and well over half of the country still does not know a thing about any of this thanks to the wall of silence by the corrupt national news media. The only way to break through that wall is for Durham and his investigators to start breaking down doors and performing some very public perp walks of high profile figures like Comey and Strzok and Brennan and Clapper, all of whom have become major TV stars over the past few years.

It would be like arresting the cast of “Love Island” – even the GenZ-ers would have to pay some attention here.

Sundance over at TheConservativeTreehouse posted a piece last night speculating that Barr and Durham have now decided that the political atmosphere has just become too toxic to add indictments into the mix. Thus, Sundance speculates that Barr is using Sidney Powell – who released the FBI text messages – and the various Senate committees – who released the revelations about Hunter Biden and Steele’s Russian sub-source – to get all of this damning information into the public domain without drawing fire in on their own position from the news media.

If true, we have a word for that kind of skullduggery: Chickenshit. Sorry for the semi-profanity, but that’s what such an effort by Barr/Durham would be.

If Durham really does have the goods on these people, and really does have hundreds of sealed indictments waiting to be unsealed, then election timing simply should not even factor into his and Barr’s equation. Because if Durham really has the goods, that means that there are treasonous criminals who planned and executed a literal coup d’ etat effort on U.S. soil roaming free as birds right now. It would also mean that half of American voters are about to cast votes for the next president without being in possession of real knowledge about any of this.

That would be an incredible travesty of justice, and a stain on their reputations that Barr and Durham could never wash off. If they really do have the goods, the only time to act is now.

I’m not going to hold my breath waiting for Godot to finally arrive, though.

That is all.

John Durham Interviews John Brennan as the end of Summer Grows Near

If Brennan’s not a target for Durham, who is? – Former Obama CIA Director John Brennan was interviewed by John Durham and his investigators for 8 full hours on Friday as a part of Durham’s investigation into the SpyGate/ObamaGate election fixing/coup d’etat effort of 2016 – 2018.

No one really knows what was discussed during those 8 hours, but Brennan, through a spokesman, came out of it claiming to not be a target of the investigation, at least at this time. Here’s the statement:

Image

Image

As has been the case throughout the course of his investigation, Durham and his team had no comment about the day’s activities. Thus, the public is left to make of the Brennan statement what it will.

Some will think it’s Brennan giving his pals in the corrupt news media a narrative to follow. Brennan has been a professional liar throughout his entire adult life – no word how he spent his childhood, but it was probably mainly spent lying to his parents, teachers, friends and family – and there is no reason to think he would have suddenly changed that mode of operation on Friday. This is certainly a valid line of thought.

Others will take Brennan at his word and conclude Durham is just another worthless smoke screen being placed before the public by a do-nothing Department of Justice at the behest of William Barr. Given the paltry results that Durham has produced thus far, it’s hard to say that is not a fair assessment. We certainly have no evidence otherwise, other than this week’s guilty plea by corrupt ex-FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith, who was let off with a very light sentence.

Personally, I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle. Durham is going to target individual conspirators against whom he and Barr determine they are likely to obtain a guilty sentence from a jury in Washington, DC. Given that the District of Columbia population is roughly 96% Democrat, doing that will require them accumulating evidence that is completely irrefutable. There simply cannot be any holes in the case for the defense to exploit in order to provide the jurors with a “reasonable doubt” that they will all be desperately searching for.

Men like Brennan and James Comey and James Clapper, who rise to the very highest levels of their respective organizations, are able to do that in large part because they are highly skilled at deflecting blame and setting up plausible deniability that insulates them from internal controversies that get people who work for them fired. They are extremely adept at setting up scapegoats and ensuring the lines of damning evidence never rise to their level.

Thus, it is fairly likely that Brennan is not a target of this investigation at this time, and that Durham is focused on obtaining indictments of or cooperation from smaller fish like Clinesmith, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, Bruce Ohr and Nellie Ohr. If he is really good at pressuring these smaller fish – and his career at DOJ indicates that he is quite skilled in this area – he may be able to get one or more of them to turn in order to protect themselves. That may well have already happened with Clinesmith, although the sentencing memo entered by DOJ in his case did not indicate as much.

The cooperation of someone like Strzok or Page might enable Durham to pierce the veil enough to get at Strok’s direct boss at the time, Bill Priestap. Cooperation from Priestap might enable Durham to go after his direct boss at the time, Andrew McCabe. Cooperation from McCabe might enable Durham to get a really big fish like Comey, and Comey could, finally, lead to Brennan.

But without any such cooperation, if these little fish are willing to let themselves be gobbled up while taking one for the treasonous team, then it is likely that those of us hoping for some real justice in this case will walk away highly disappointed at the final outcome.

Like it or not, this is how these investigations go. There is literally no reason at all to believe a single word Brennan’s spokesman had to say yesterday. But until we see some real results from Durham in terms of indictments and prosecution, there is also no real reason to think Brennan is a target at this moment in time.

Barr promised action by the “end of summer.” As of today, that is exactly one month away. Durham has 31 days to assure half of the U.S. population that justice still exists in our country. He can either become a true American hero, or prove he is just another Deep State snake.

Stay tuned.

That is all.

Sally Yates Testimony Proves America Needs a Durham Report After All

I and others have argued for the past year against any need for a “report” from John Durham at the completion of his investigation into SpyGate/ObamaGate, whatever you wish to call it. Mr. Durham is, after all, a federal prosecutor, and the job of a prosecutor is not to write reports like those we have seen from Inspector General Michael Horowitz since 2017, but to convene grand juries, obtain indictments, file charges, have the FBI make arrests and then obtain convictions.

The argument against the need for any voluminous report from Durham is that compiling such a thing would be a waste of time that would distract Durham and his staff from focusing on the central tasks at hand. After all, wouldn’t the indictments and trial speak for themselves, educating the public about the treasonous actions taken by high Obama officials? Isn’t that how our system of justice is supposed to function? I thought so, and so did many others.

But that was before we saw Sally Q. Yates, the corrupt Obama holdover former acting Attorney General who smeared General Mike Flynn and refused to enforce President Trump’s initial travel ban before the President unceremoniously fired her during the early weeks of his administration, testified today before the Senate Judiciary Committee. Yates’s testimony was such a case study in obfuscation, distraction, blame-shifting and outright fabrication – all of which will simply be parroted by a fawning news media – that it dawned on me today that the nation will indeed require a comprehensive report from Durham simply for the purpose of setting an official record and serving as a public guide for what is to come. Because otherwise, that official record will be dictated by the professional liars in the media and the political left.

Yates, for example, expressed her sincere disappointment that the FBI did not properly vet the Steele Dossier that became pretty much the sole basis for obtaining FISA warrants to allow the DOJ/FBI cabal to spy on the Trump Campaign and transition team. She threw then-FBI Director James Comey under the bus as being mainly responsible for this travesty, even though she personally signed two of what eventually became four FISA applications that used that false Dossier. She took no personal blame at all for simply rubber stamping what she was handed without asking probing questions or conducting the slightest due diligence.

During the same hearing today, Yates also claimed to have been personally unaware that the Steele Dossier had been paid for by the DNC and the Clinton Campaign, a preposterous notion that no thinking person really believes. She also claimed to have had no idea that her deputy, Bruce Ohr, spent months under her watch facilitating contacts between Christopher Steele and various officials inside the DOJ, the FBI and Congress. An even more preposterous notion.

Yates also hilariously claimed that George Papadopoulous was in fact an agent of the Russian government, a reprehensible allegation that has been proven false repeatedly by IG Horowitz and several other investigations. She also stated her steadfast belief that General Flynn lied to FBI Agents Peter Strzok and Joe Pientka during their entrapment interview, despite the now-revealed fact that both agents told their superiors that they did not believe Flynn had lied to them shortly after that interview took place.

The great intrinsic value in these Judiciary Committee hearings that are finally being convened by Chairman Lindsey Graham a year later than they should have been is that they will expose Yates and her fellow coup plotters for the despicable liars they all truly are, and do it all while they are under oath. That’s all great, but someone in a position of authority still needs to compile an official guide that ties together all the moving parts and exposes all the myriad lies these professional prevaricators will weave into their testimonies.

This is the most complex and dangerous scandal in U.S. history, and Americans deserve to have someone in authority lay it all out for them so that they can fully comprehend how dangerously close the Cabal came to overthrowing a duly-elected government by false means. Durham is presumably investigating all of this, and will know where all of these bodies are buried.

So yes, we will need a Durham Report after all, if only to serve as a sort of in-game program type of guide that will allow the audience to follow along as the indictments and trials [hopefully] finally start to take place.

Attorney General William Barr has twice promised we would see such a report before the end of summer. The summer ends on September 22.

Time is growing short.

That is all.

The Pace of Obamagate Unraveling is Quickening

Is Peter Strzok Cooperating with John Durham? – Former Fox News reporter Adam Housley thinks so. Since leaving Fox, Housley has continued to stay in touch with his sources at the DOJ and within the Intelligence Community, and periodically reports interesting information on his Twitter feed.

He recently issued two tweets indicating he has been told that FBI Super-Duper Agent and aspiring latin lover Peter Strzok is now cooperating with Durham and his investigators:

To reinforce the point I made yesterday about Durham’s job in unraveling the treasonous activity that took place in the Obama FBI/DOJ/CIA being incredibly complex, I’d also point you to this recent tweet from Housley:

And this one…

Meanwhile, on Fox’s “Sunday Morning Futures” program hosted by Maria Bartiromo, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham told Bartiromo that the FBI “lied their asses off” about the reliability of the Steele Dossier, and that he will be releasing more proof about that before the end of this week: “Here is what I think I’m going to be able to show to the public. Not only did the FBI lie to the court about the reliability about the Steele dossier, they also lied to the Congress. That’s a separate crime.”

Obviously, everything Graham says has to be taken with a grain of salt. But it is worth pointing out that, on the same program Sunday before last, Graham told Bartiromo that his committee had uncovered proof that Steele’s sub-source was a complete fraud. Of course, Director of National Intelligence John Raticliffe – who is proving to be every bit the bulldog in that job that his predecessor, Ric Grenell was – released some previously-classified documents last week demonstrating Graham’s point, and is apparently planning to release more documents this week.

This is all unraveling now, folks, and the pace is quickening. As I’ve chronicled here over the last year, all of the information conclusively proving the treasonous actions of the coup cabal within the FBI/DOJ led by James Comey, Andrew McCabe and Strzok is now out on the public record. Everyone who has been paying attention and has the ability to reason logically now understands the monumental nature of the crimes committed against our very system of government by these despicable coup plotters, and that the organizing momentum behind it went all the way up to the Oval Office itself.

Today’s testimony by Attorney General William Barr before the disgraceful House Judiciary Committee may well be designed to serve as the kicking-off point for more concrete action coming from the Durham investigation. I know many readers remain skeptical of my faith in Barr and Durham, but I would urge you to pay attention to what Barr is going to tell Nadler and company this morning in his opening statement.

In that statement, Barr points to the fact that he had no prior relationship with President Trump when he agreed to take the AG job. In fact, he was 70 years old and sliding towards a well-earned and deserved retirement after a lifetime of legal practice and service to the country. Instead, he agreed to take on the most pressure-packed assignment in the nation outside of the presidency itself.

Many skeptical readers continue to believe that Barr willingly took on that assignment and all of the character assassination and threats he knew would be coming his way from desperate Democrats and their corrupt toadies in the news media so that he could get into the job and do….nothing.

I don’t believe that’s why he took that job, and I believe events of the next month or so will prove that assessment to be correct.

We’ll see.

Why the Flynn Win and Strzok Notes are Major Obamagate Developments

Wednesday was a momentous day for anyone who cares about the rule of law and the future of the country. Which of course means that the corrupt political activists who infest our national news media have no clue about any of it, and the Democrat politicians and RINOs in Washington DC are scared to death, because they do understand, but hate it.

It wasn’t just because General Mike Flynn and his kickass lawyer Sidney Powell partially won their appeal for a writ of mandamus before the DC Circuit Court of Appeals, although that was a big part of it. The other big deal – perhaps even bigger in terms of the future of the country – was the release of disgraced former FBI agent Peter Strzok’s notes from a meeting held on January 4, 2017 at the White House.

Let’s work with the Court of Appeals decision first. People need to understand what an incredibly rare thing it is in our country these days for any federal appellate court to slap down a federal judge as the completely out of control Emmet Sullivan was slapped down yesterday. A writ of mandamus is a step a defense lawyer takes only as a last resort, when the trial judge in their case has gone so far outside the bounds of the prevailing law that it has become impossible for their client to receive a fair trial in the court.

That reality is why so many expert observers were predicting that Powell’s request would be rejected, which would have allowed Judge Sullivan to keep stringing this case out past Election Day in November, which we now clearly see has been his goal all along. While the 3-judge appeals panel did not completely remove the case from Sullivan’s court, it did order him to dismiss ex-federal judge John Gleeson, who he had hired at taxpayer expense to improperly intervene in the case, and to dismiss the case outright, as the Department of Justice moved to do many weeks ago.

As we pointed out yesterday, Sullivan still has the option of requesting an en banc hearing before the full appeals court panel, but doing that poses very high risks for the future of his already damaged career. Regardless, yesterday’s order by the 3-judge panel preserves the separation of powers under the constitution, and will forever be a stain on Sullivan’s reputation, which had been pretty solid before his gross misconduct of this case. The decision is a huge win for the preservation of the rule of law in this country.

Strzok’s notes are just as important for one single reason: They provide a contemporary record that directly implicates both Joe Biden and Barack Obama as willing and active participants in Obamagate, providing strategic direction for the coup cabal.

The first thing to understand is that that January 4 meeting has not previously been noted as being important in any real way. The second thing to note is that Strzok himself was not in the meeting – his notes are apparently from a meeting he had later in the day with FBI Director James Comey.

Image

In that meeting, Obama, Biden and Comey (it is unknown if there were other participants) were discussing how to proceed vis a vis Flynn, who we now understand was a big target of Obama all along. Remember, when Trump met with Obama two days after the 2016 election, Trump came away from that meeting stunned that the one and only foreign policy matter Obama brought up was an admonition that Trump should avoid hiring General Flynn. I discussed the reasons why Obama was so worried about Flynn in that piece yesterday.

Here’s an excerpt:

Because, remember: Flynn knows where all of the bodies are buried here. This case was never about “Russia Collusion”; it never had anything to do with any real concerns about Flynn’s calls during the transition with Russian Ambassador Kysliak; it never had anything to do with any of the abject nonsense fantasy narratives that the Democrats and their corrupt media toadies have been pushing on the public since 2017.

This case was about protecting the dirty secrets behind Obama’s despicable deal with Iran, which, if left in place would have ensured Iran became the preeminent power in the Middle East, one armed with nuclear weapons. Flynn was fired by Obama in 2014 from his position as Director of Defense Intelligence because he raised objections regarding the negotiations over that deal, and that is why Obama/Biden and other high Obama officials could not stomach the thought of Flynn serving as National Security Advisor.

That’s why Flynn became the target of what we know beyond any doubt now was a blatant effort to frame him by the FBI; it is why he was targeted by American Gestapo Chief Robert Mueller and his enabler, Rod Rosenstein to begin with; and it is why Judge Sullivan has spent the past three years passing on at least half a dozen previous opportunities to dismiss this case and tolerating an unending stream of prosecutorial malfeasance in his courtroom.

[End]

In that January 4 meeting, it is obvious that Obama and Biden – who remember, actually unmasked General Flynn personally in early December, 2016 – remain very concerned about Flynn and all he knows. We see Biden himself become the first person to raise the idea of framing Flynn by using the Logan Act, an archaic relic of law under which no American citizen has ever been prosecuted. That’s how thin a reed these desperate people were pulling here.

We then have Comey telling Obama and Biden that Flynn’s calls with Russian Ambassador Kislyak are “legit,” i.e., not really fit for pursuit under the Logan Act. Regardless, we next see Obama, then the President of the United States, instructing the Director of the FBI to “look at this”, i.e., trying to build a case under the Logan Act, and to “have the right people on it.”

In January 2017, who were the “right people” at the FBI to have on an effort to frame a high incoming official in the Trump Administration? Why, you’d start with Peter Strzok, of course, since by then Strzok had already led efforts to fake the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s illegal email server, led the illegal spying effort – “Crossfire Hurricane” – on the Trump campaign and transition team, and to concoct false rationale to defraud the FISA court. Which is why the first thing Comey did when he got back to the Hoover Building was call Strzok – and perhaps Strzok’s bosses, Andrew McCabe and Bill Priestap – into a meeting to do a download.

Those notes, and that January 4 meeting, are a big, fat hairy deal, folks. Assuming John Durham and William Barr are really planning to execute some real justice related to Obamagate, those notes will make it very hard for them to continue to pretend that Biden and Obama themselves are above scrutiny. Once his case has been fully dismissed and he is able to speak freely, we can expect Flynn to make doing that even harder still.

It was a coup d’etat on American soil, folks, led and planned by Obama and Biden. I’ve been telling you this since mid-2017, and here we are.

As I always like to tell skeptical people: A “conspiracy theory” is not a “theory” when it is standing right in front of you slapping you in your stupid face. This one has been slapping us all for a long, long time.

That is all.

The Evening Wrap: Rosenstein Tosses McCabe Under the Bus, and Other WINNING News

So many items of WINNING news today it’s hard to know where to start.

How about this: The ADP private sector jobs report for May is in, and although it’s a big negative number, it’s still positive news in the context of this whole self-imposed Wuhan Virus recession. The ADP number for May came in at a net jobs loss of 2.76 million, which is obviously a depressing number. But – and it’s a big BUT – the consensus of projections by the so-called experts in this field had predicted a loss of 8.663 million jobs, almost 6 million more than the actual number.

What this means is pretty clear:

– Many workers who had lost jobs over the last 10 weeks and filed initial claims for unemployment quickly found new jobs;

– Businesses are reopening faster than the “experts” have anticipated despite the efforts by an array of Democrat governors to prevent that from happening in states like Michigan, New York, California, Oregon, New Jersey and Nevada;

– The reduction in economic growth has obviously not been as deep and severe as most have estimated.

That’s why we have this next bit of WINNING news: The Dow Jones Industrial Average rocketed up above 26,000 today, just 5 trading days after it topped 25,000 last Wednesday, and just 9 weeks after it bottomed out at 18,591. That is a rise of ~40% in a little over 2 months.

At the same time, the NASDAQ hit 9,681 today, and is now within just 70 points of regaining every bit of the losses it suffered in March. Given that the stock markets tend to reflect where investors believe the economy will be 3 to 6 months from now, that represents a stunning vote of confidence in the U.S. economy.

Obviously, the investor class in our country has just as little faith in the economic “expert” class as you and I do.

Oh, hey, then there’s this: You may be wondering why all the rioting across the country suddenly got dialed back last night. President Trump is saying that it’s because some mayors – like Eric Garcetti in Los Angeles – called in the National Guard, and that likely has a lot of merit. But other depraved Democrats like Bill de Blasio and Lori Lightfoot in Chicago did not do that, yet saw a dramatic decrease in violence and mayhem in their cities, too.

Here’s why I believe that happened: The Democrats – and thus, Antifa and Black Lives Matter – got hold of bad polling data, which meant all the bad out-of-state actors were ordered to go home. Remember, every decision the Democrats make is based on polling data.

The bad data on the riots came to them in the form of a new poll from the very liberal Morning Consult polling group, which finds that Americans favor using the National Guard and the U.S. military to put down these riots by a frankly amazing 58%-30% margin. The move is even favored by Democrat voters by a 48-43 margin.

In another bit of bad polling data (for Democrats), the Rasmussen survey shows that a large plurality of Americans consider Antifa to be a terrorist organization. 49% of respondents answered yes, while just 30% said no.

If you don’t think that data caused a ton of Democrat heads to explode, then you don’t understand how Democrats think and operate.

Uhhhh, who to believe – Rod Rosenstein? Or Andrew McCabe? – It’s a very tough choice, but that is what America faces today following an interesting Senate Judiciary Committee hearing in which the oily, rodent-like former Acting Attorney General offered his sniffing and slurping testimony. In this instance, I would tend to believe Rosenstein, if only for the fact that being slightly more believable than the pathological liar McCabe is such a low damn bar.

As we pointed out yesterday, Rosenstein has much to answer for related to his gross misconduct in office during the active coup d’etat effort which he personally facilitated from May 2017 through March 2019. Sadly, the stilted format of these hearings and uselessness of so many of the GOP senators meant that he only had to answer for a few of those things today.

The main focus of the few Republicans who really went after Rosenstein today – Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz and Chuck Grassley – was why Rosenstein signed off on the 4th fraudulent FISA warrant and appointed Robert Mueller shortly after he had assumed the office of Deputy Attorney General. Rosenstein’s wormy answer basically amounted to, “hey, I was just going on the information provided to me by Andy McCabe and his evil team, which included Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.”

Remember, at a press conference two years ago, Rosenstein went on and on about the fact that “In order to get a FISA warrant, you need an affidavit signed by a career law enforcement officer who swears the information is true… And if it is wrong, that person is going to face consequences.”

Remember that? I do, and today Rosenstein outright admitted his signing off on that FISA warrant based solely on the word of a pathological liar and his demonic staff was, well, wrong. But of course, he then added that, hey, he was just the new guy at DOJ and couldn’t be expected to try to verify any of the BS he was being fed by McCabe and Strzok and Page.

Naturally, McCabe was watching the proceedings at home – or maybe at CNN headquarters, where he remains employed as a richly-paid on-screen liar, er, “contributor” – and he issued a statement defending himself as the hearing was progressing, as reported by JustTheNews.com:

In a statement apparently authored shortly after Rosenstein made that assertion, McCabe said that Rosenstein’s “claims to have been misled by me or anyone from the F.B.I.” were “completely false.”

“I briefed Mr. Rosenstein on Jim Comey’s memos describing his interactions with the president days after Mr. Rosenstein wrote the memo firing Jim Comey,” McCabe said, in a statement read by committee Chairman Lindsey Graham.

Rosenstein’s remarks “loo[k] to be another sad attempt by the president and his men to rewrite the history of their actions in 2017,” McCabe said. “They have found in Mr. Rosenstein, then and now, a willing accessory in that effort.”

[End]

Hilariously, Lindsey Graham closed the hearing out by reading McCabe’s statement and allowing Rosenstein to give one more worm-like answer:

“I did not say that Mr. McCabe misled me,” he said. “Those were not my words. I think he is responding to somebody’s question.”

“What I said was, he did not reveal the Comey memos to me for a week. And that is true. He revealed them to me only a couple of hours before they showed up in the New York Times, and he did not reveal to me that he was having internal deliberations with his team about whether to target high-profile people for investigation.”

[End]

Here’s reality: Rosenstein admitted under oath today that he had zero basis for signing that FISA warrant; zero basis for believing anyone in the Trump Campaign or Transition team was colluding with the Russians; and thus, zero basis for appointing a special counsel. He admitted that he basically didn’t know nuthin’ about nuthin’ and just allowed himself to be strung along by the coup cabal made up of Obama holdovers at the DOJ and FBI.

Absolutely sickening.

Tomorrow, expect the GOP majority to vote unanimously to issue subpoenas to more than 50 Obama loyalists who tried to fix the 2016 election and then overthrow a duly-elected POTUS.

This is actually gonna be fun to watch.

I leave you with this absolutely epic clip of Senator Ted Cruz destroying Rosenstein, Barack Obama, Susan Rice and Joe Biden at today’s hearing:

Reminder: Obama Knew Everything

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Don’t kid yourselves otherwise, folks: Obama knew everything that was happening in his administration. If you think Brennan and Comey and Strzok and McCabe and Priestap and Page and Baker and Rice and Lynch and all the other participants in the FBI/DOJ Coup Cabal just took it upon themselves to a) cover up the Hillary Clinton email scandal, b) attempt to rig the 2016 general election, c) mount an illegal spying effort on members of the Trump campaign, d) continue that illegal spying effort on the Trump transition team, e) defraud the FISA court in the process, f) entrap and frame General Mike Flynn, g) attempt to entrap and frame President Donald Trump himself, and g) invent a false rationale for the appointment of a special counsel whose job was really to mount a coup d’etat on U.S. soil, and hid all of that from Barack Hussein Obama His Own Self, then you are terribly naive and most likely intentionally uninformed.

The key to really understanding Obama’s first-hand knowledge of and almost certain involvement in the planning of all of these things is to understand the real nature of the meeting of January 5, 2017. Amid the previously-withheld documents released over the past ten days, we discover this about that meeting:

“Yates first learned of the December 2016 calls between [LTG Michael] Flynn and [Russian Ambassador to the United States, Sergey] Kislyak on January 5, 2017, while in the Oval Office. Yates, along with then FBI-Director James Comey, then-CIA Director John Brennan, and then-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, were at the White House to brief members of the Obama Administration on the classified Intelligence Community Assessment on Russian Activities in Recent U.S Elections. President Obama was joined by his National Security Advisor, Susan Rice, and others from the National Security Council,” the document states.

“After the briefing, Obama dismissed the group but asked Yates and Comey to stay behind. Obama started by saying he had ‘learned of the information about Flynn’ and his conversation with Kislyak about sanctions. Obama specified he did not want any additional information on the matter, but was seeking information on whether the White House should be treating Flynn any differently, given the information. At that point, Yates had no idea what the President was talking about, but figured it out based on the conversation. Yates recalled Comey mentioning the Logan Act, but can’t recall if he specified there was an ‘investigation,'” it continues.

Note how Yates, one of the most reprehensible of all Obama sycophants, is shocked to learn that the POTUS himself somehow knows about the FBI’s efforts to dig up dirt on General Flynn. And remember that this is just a day after Peter Strzok had intervened to reverse the decision that Priestap and McCabe had already made to shut that effort down, which we now know would have been the proper decision. But here we are on January 5, and the thing is still alive and Obama’s discussing the details directly with Comey. That is stunning in and of itself.

But even more important here is to remember what is so key about the meeting of the full group that took place before Yates’s revelation. Let’s remember that this is the very meeting about which Susan Rice wrote her infamous “memo to self” in which she attempted to make the meeting and Obama’s conduct in it seem to be completely innocuous and “by the book.” Chuck Ross, then with the Daily Caller, remembered that incident in 2018:

Rice sent the email at 12:15 p.m. on Jan. 20, 2017, her final day in office. In the message, she memorialized a Jan. 5 Oval Office meeting she attended with President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, FBI Director James Comey and Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates.

The topic was the ongoing investigation into possible Trump campaign collusion. According to press reports, Comey briefed Obama that day on the unverified Steele dossier.

Grassley and Graham laid out their concerns with the email in a letter sent to Rice last week.

“It strikes us as odd that, among your activities in the final moments on the final day of the Obama administration, you would feel the need to send yourself such an unusual email purporting to document a conversation involving President Obama and his interactions with the FBI regarding the Trump/Russia investigation,” they wrote.

In her email, Rice wrote to herself:

On January 5, following a briefing by [Intelligence Community] leadership on Russian hacking during the 2016 Presidential election, President Obama had a brief follow-on conversation with FBI Director Jim Comey and Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates in the Oval Office. Vice President Biden and I were also present.

She said that Obama began the conversation “by stressing his continued commitment to ensuring that every aspect of this issue is handled by the Intelligence and law enforcement communities ‘by the book.’”

“The President stressed that he is not asking about, initiating or instructing anything from a law enforcement perspective. He reiterated that our law enforcement team needs to proceed as it normally would by the book,” she continued.

Rice also wrote that there was a discussion over whether classified information regarding Russia should be withheld from the incoming Trump administration.

“From a national security perspective, however, President Obama said he wants to be sure that, as we engage with the incoming team, we are mindful to ascertain if there is any reason that we cannot share information fully as it relates to Russia,” she wrote.

Grassley and Graham noted that the next portion of the email contained classified information and remains redacted. In the next section, Rice wrote: “The President asked Comey to inform him if anything changes in the next few weeks that should affect how we share classified information with the incoming team. Comey said he would.”

Grassley and Graham, who serve on the Senate Judiciary Committee, say they question whether the Obama team conducted the Trump investigation “by the book.”

[End]

This was a blatantly transparent, last-minute attempt by Rice to try to sanitize this meeting for the public record. There was literally no other reason for her to be engaging in this particular activity on her final day in office.

But immediately following this meeting, the FBI redoubled its efforts to entrap Flynn. Obama also took the action of drastically loosening rules around the sharing of classified information within various departments of the administration, including raw intelligence that was use by his senior people to illegally unmask hundreds of American citizens. This resulted in a flood of leaks to corrupt media outlets intended to damage the incoming Trump Administration.

The great Mollie Hemingway had a really good piece on Friday detailing other despicable actions that flowed out of this January 5 meeting led by Obama His Own Self:

A clearer picture is emerging of the drastic steps that were taken to accomplish Obama’s goal in the following weeks and months. Shortly thereafter, high-level operatives began intensely leaking selective information supporting a supposed Russia-Trump conspiracy theory, the incoming National Security Advisor was ambushed, and the incoming Attorney General was forced to recuse himself from oversight of investigations of President Trump. At each major point in the operation, explosive media leaks were a key strategy in the operation to take down Trump.

Not only was information on Russia not fully shared with the incoming Trump team, as Obama directs, the leaks and ambushes made the transition chaotic, scared quality individuals away from working in the administration, made effective governance almost impossible, and materially damaged national security. When Comey was finally fired on May 9, in part for his duplicitousness regarding his handling of the Russia collusion theory, he orchestrated the launch of a Special Counsel probe that continued his efforts for another two years. That probe ended with Mueller finding no evidence of any American colluding with Russia to steal the 2016 election, much less Trump or anyone connected to him.

An analysis of the timeline from early 2017 shows a clear pattern of behavior from the federal officials running the collusion operation against the Trump campaign. It also shows how essential media leaks were to their strategy to sideline key law enforcement and intelligence officials and cripple the ability of the incoming Trump administration to run the country.

[…]

January 5: Yates, Comey, CIA Director John Brennan, and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper briefed Obama on Russia-related matters in the Oval Office. Biden and Rice also attended. After the Obama briefing, the intelligence chiefs who would be leaving at the end of the term were dismissed and Yates and Comey, who would continue in the Trump administration, were asked to stay. Not only did Obama give his guidance about how to perpetuate the Russia collusion theory investigations, he also talked about Flynn’s conversations with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak, according to both Comey and Yates. Interestingly, Clapper, Comey, and Yates all said that they did not brief Obama about these phone calls. Clapper testified he did not brief Obama on the calls, Yates learned about the calls from Obama himself during that meeting, and Comey also testified he didn’t brief Obama about the calls, even though the intelligence was an FBI product. Rice, who publicly lied but later admitted under oath to her widespread use of unmasked intelligence at the end of the Obama administration, likely briefed Obama on the calls and would have had access to the intelligence. Comey mentions the Logan Act at this meeting.

January 6: An ostensibly similar briefing about Russian interference efforts during the 2016 campaign was given to President-elect Trump. After that briefing, Comey privately briefed Trump on the most salacious and absurd “pee tape” allegation in the Christopher Steele dossier, a document the FBI had already used to obtain a warrant to spy on Trump campaign affiliate Carter Page. Comey told Trump he was telling him because CNN was looking for any reason it could find to publish a story about Russia having compromising information on him, and he wanted to warn Trump about it. He did not mention the dossier was completely unverified or that it was the product of a secretly funded operation by the Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee.

January 10: In an amazing coincidence, CNN found the excuse to publish the Russia claims after a high-level Obama intelligence operative leaked that Comey had briefed Trump about the dossier. This selective leak, which was credulously accepted by CNN reporters Evan Perez, Jim Sciutto, Jake Tapper and Carl Bernstein, may have been the most important step in the operation to harm the incoming Trump administration. The leak of the briefing of Trump was used to legitimize a ridiculous dossier full of allegations the FBI knew to be false that multiple news organizations had previously refused to report on for lack of substantiation, and created a cloud of suspicion over Trump’s campaign and administration by insinuating he was being blackmailed by Russia.

January 12: The next part of the strategy was the explosive leak to David Ignatius of the Washington Post to legitimize the use against Flynn of the Logan Act, a likely unconstitutional 1799 law prohibiting private individuals, not public incoming national security advisors, from discussing foreign policy with foreign governments. Ignatius accepted the leak from the Obama official. He wrote that Flynn had called Kislyak. “What did Flynn say, and did it undercut the U.S. sanctions? The Logan Act (though never enforced) bars U.S. citizens from correspondence intending to influence a foreign government about ‘disputes’ with the United States. Was its spirit violated?” Flynn’s routine and appropriate phone call became fodder for a developing grand conspiracy theory of Russia collusion. In discussions with investigators, both DOJ’s Mary McCord and Comey conspicuously cite this Ignatius column as somehow meaningful in the approach they would take with Flynn. “Nothing, to my mind, happens until the 13th of January, when David Ignatius publishes a column that contains a reference to communication Michael Flynn had with the Russians. That was on the 13th of January,” Comey said of the column that ran online on January 12. In fact, quite a bit had happened at the FBI prior to that leak, with much conversation about how to utilize the Logan Act against Flynn. And the leak-fueled Ignatius column would later be used by FBI officials to justify an illegal ambush interview of Flynn in the White House.

January 23: Another important criminal leak was given to Ellen Nakashima and Greg Miller of the Washington Post, also based on criminal leaks. Their article, headlined “FBI reviewed Flynn’s calls with Russian ambassador but found nothing illicit,” was intended to make Flynn feel safe and put him at ease about the FBI stance on those calls the day before they planned to ambush him in an interview. The article was used to publicize false information when it said, “Although Flynn’s contacts with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak were listened to, Flynn himself is not the active target of an investigation, U.S. officials said.” In fact, emails prior to this date confirm Flynn was their prime target. This article was later cited by McCabe as the reason why they were justified in concealing from Flynn the real purpose of their interview. Flynn later asked McCabe if he knew how all the information about his phone calls had been made public and whether it had been leaked. Any potential response from McCabe to Flynn has been redacted from his own notes about the conversation.

[End]

Mollie details much, much more in her piece, which everyone should go read in full. All of these despicable, anti-American actions flowed directly out of that January 5 meeting in the White House.

One big, glaring aspect about that meeting, in addition to directly implicating Obama in all of this, is the fact that Quid Pro Creepy Uncle China Joe Biden was also in attendance that day. That’s right: The presumptive presidential nominee of the Democrat Party also knew about all of this, although his ability to retain that knowledge remains an open question.

I’ve said this for three years now, but it bears repeating again: This is the biggest scandal in American history. We had a sitting President of the United States actively involved in an effort to fix a national election and then to bring down his successor. The truth of this is as plain as the nose on your face, and so horrible that it is sickening to contemplate.

What this means is that everything President Trump has told you about this scandal has been true: There was no Russia collusion in his campaign; Trump Tower was being illegally spied upon by the Obama FBI and other intelligence agencies; Mike Flynn was framed; Roger Stone and Paul Manafort have been unfairly brutalized in Soviet-style show trials led by Obama appointed judges; There was no legal basis for the appointment of a Special Counsel; Jim Comey did indeed attempt to entrap and frame Trump himself; on and on it goes.

And yesterday, when you heard President Trump tell the hosts of Fox and Friends that Obama himself knew about it all and participated in the planning, that was true, too. It all goes back to that meeting of January 5, 2017. That is the fulcrum around which all the myriad aspects of this still-unfolding act of outright treason against America revolves.

That is all.

Coup Cabal Communications: The Problem Lies in What we Haven’t Seen

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II

Many readers will be familiar with the Twitter account called “Undercover Huber.” No idea who is behind the account, but it has been quoted and re-tweeted by all manner of public officials and media personalities like Andrew McCarthy over the past few years. It has been an excellent source of fact-based research and commentary on the Deep State’s continuing efforts to hamper President Donald Trump and remove him from office.

Undercover Huber posted an excellent thread early Sunday morning exposing the DOJ/FBI cabal not for what we have seen in the reams of their communications that have been made public, but for what we have not seen in any of those communications. It’s great food for thought, and I wanted to be sure readers here got to see it. It is reprinted below in full.

Here is the text of the remaining tweets in the thread:

We’ve now got a lot of material from Crossfire Hurricane and Mueller’s operation.

A lovers’ quarrel, classified codenames, confidential emails, vulgarity, biased texts, internal debates about FBI/DOJ strategy, media leaking and more.

But there is one thing we haven’t seen in any text, any Lync chat, any email, any document, any interview, any Congressional testimony or any report.

Not in any of the thousands upon thousands of files released.

*The words “civil rights” and any concern for them* ?

Even the so-called “boy scout” with a conscience and head of FBI counterintelligence Bill Priestap seems like he was only concerned about setting up 30-year combat vet Flynn because “playing games” might make the “institution” of the FBI look bad & result in political blowback.

Where are the notes of FBI agents or DOJ officials saying, “gee, setting up a pretext to interview someone as part of an investigation we know is bogus might violate this persons civil rights. It might harm their life, liberty and pursuit of happiness even. Let’s rethink this.”

Where are the texts worrying about whether it is moral to try to get someone fired from the pinnacle of their career, a job as NSA in the White House, bringing their life crashing down around their ears?

Why don’t Comey’s memos about Trump asking if he can “let Flynn go” mention that the *Comey’s own FBI field office* wanted to let Flynn go a month earlier, because they had *nothing*, zero on him? Even after the plan Comey set in motion got Flynn fired in disgrace? Slip his mind?

Why is nobody writing a memo to themselves asking if they’re really doing things “by the book” when they keep sending in a spy they must know is lying to them, that they know is pals with “former” Russian intelligence chiefs, who keeps coming up empty, only with exculpatory info?

Why are there no minutes of any meeting between Comey’s crew debating whether it’s a good idea to flip a friend of George Papadopoulos, turning someone he trusted into a weapon wearing a wire against him, then suppressing that the one thing they got was yet more exculpatory info?

And when the “lead FBI attorney” on Crossfire Hurricane finds out that his prime target @carterwpage is a patriot assisting the CIA, rather than a traitor helping the Russians, why is there no email CC’d to everyone saying that, but a doctored, fraudulent one saying the opposite?

“Wow this guy was actually assisting our friends in the agency for years? He served in the military? Okay he’s got some unusual views on Russia but should I really lie to a court so I can spy on this guy, smear him in the press, destroy his business & try to throw him in prison?”

Nobody is writing that email, putting down those thoughts in notes, confiding to a close friend, sending an anguished text, worrying about what they could do to these people. Because they didn’t see them as people. Just targets to be destroyed.

But the FBI’s job isn’t to destroy people, or get them fired. It’s to investigate real crimes and protect the country. How does it “protect” the country to destabilize the presidency with a Collusion lie and deprive the intelligence community of Flynn’s renowned expertise?

Bear in mind as you read this that Comey’s crew & all the people who worked on Mueller’s team, and all of the media people who helped them are unrepentant. They don’t care.

It hurts Orange Man, so it’s all justified. They’ll destroy anyone or anything, as long as it destroys him.

Maybe Chris Wray can put some of this down in a memo and send it out on a training course. I’m sure that’ll fix this.

It’s no wonder that US Attorney John Durham is reportedly concerned that no whistleblowers have come forward.

It’s because they don’t think there is anything to blow the whistle on.

They’re all involved. Act accordingly.

/ENDS

Note: This is why it’s probably not a good idea to be demanding specific people are “locked up” or targeted for public investigation. That should only happen at the end of fair & due process. While Comey’s crew don’t think even good guys have rights, the truth is bad guys do too.

Morning Joe Agrees to Serve up a Powder Puff Interview With Biden

The Evening Campaign Update

MSNBC and the Biden Campaign are coordinating approved questions and facial expressions as you read this. – News broke late Thursday that the circus clowns at MSNBC’s Morning Joe program will serve as the platform on which Creepy Uncle Quid Pro China Joe Biden will roll out his version of his ummmm…’interactions’ with Tara Reade when she was on his senate staff in 1993.

How Morning Joe got this gig over and above all the myriad CNN and MSNBC programs that were no doubt raising their hands and shouting “pick me! pick me!” at the Biden camp is anyone’s guess. Possibly it’s because Morning Joe is the lowest-rated daytime TV program on any cable news channel not named CNN. Possibly it’s because Biden has the hots for Mika or because he just loves Joe Scarborough’s pompadour hairdo and Church Lady good looks.

Whatever the reason, the presumptive Democrat nominee will be awakened and dressed by his handlers early Friday morning and shoved in front of his basement camera so that his abusive wife Jill can help guide him through the answers to the pre-approved questions that will no doubt be scrolling on a handy teleprompter. This should be god-awful TV, but it will be like watching a train wreck unfold in slow motion – you won’t be able to look away.

Can’t wait.

In other news on this rapid-fire Thursday…

– President Donald Trump told reporters at the White House today that he’d be glad to bring General Mike Flynn back into his administration. No doubt the corrupt reporters in the room all got the vapors on that one;

– The President also said he won’t need to pardon General Flynn because “he’s been exonerated.” Boom;

– Mr. Trump also said that he has seen intelligence that gives him a high degree of confidence that the coronavirus originated from the Wuhan Institute of Virology – though he would not go into detail when pressed for obvious reasons;

– The hospital ship USS Comfort sailed out of New York Harbor today. The ship had been docked at Pier 90 since March 30. The Navy says that during its time in NYC the hospital ship treated a grand total of 182 coronavirus patients, all of whom were discharged over the past week;

– Meanwhile, the hastily-constructed, 2900 bed field hospital in NYC’s Javits Center is in the process of being decommissioned and shut down after having been used to treat a grand total of 1094 patients;

– and finally, we had this from Catherine Herridge:

Only in an America saddled with an utterly corrupt Department of Justice and FBI could this Strzok guy still be walking around a free man. This must change, and soon.

That is all.

New Revelations in the Mike Flynn Case Prove it’s Time to Stop the Madness

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Maria Bartiromo has good sources. – This sets her apart from Sean Hannity, Greg Jarrett and Sara Carter, the Tick-Tock brigade who have spent the last two years promising Hannity’s listeners and viewers that indictments of the bad actors in the coup cabal were always just around the corner.

Bartiromo didn’t promise that, but if you remember, she did tweet this on Sunday evening:

The case against General Flynn has not been dismissed, but so much new information has come to light since Monday that it is now blatantly obvious that he was, as his attorney Sidney Powell continues to state categorically, set up and framed by the corrupt cabal operating at the top of the DOJ and FBI in early 2017.

The latest tranche of information came yesterday in the form of previously un-released emails and hand-written notes that conclusively demonstrate that the FBI’s goal in the initial interview of Flynn was to set him up:

In a series of tweets last night, former federal prosecutor Andy McCarthy points out that, even after their clear effort to entrap Flynn at that initial Jan. 27, 2017 interview, FBI agents Peter Strzok and Joe Pientka told then-Director James Comey and Dep. Director Andrew McCabe that they did not believe Flynn had lied to them, and apparently recorded that impression in their original 302 filing on the interview (which the FBI continues to claim was somehow “lost”). Comey has in fact stated this in public testimony.

McCarthy continues:

Seems worth reminding: for all the elaborate perjury trap planning, violation of protocol, and dissembling about 302 interview report, FBI did not think Flynn lied and thus never sought to charge him while Comey & McCabe in charge.

Charges were filed only months later by Team Mueller, under circumstances where there is good reason to believe they told him if he didn’t plead guilty, his son would be charged with a felony.

Judge [Emmet Sullivan] should vacate the plea and put onus on DOJ and FBI to tell us whether they’d feel good about going forward with a public trial of this case, so everything that was done and said, and why, can be laid bare. I think hell would freeze over before that. But let’s see.

[End]

As a reminder, and as the notes released yesterday confirm, the entire entrapment effort was based on a phone call that Flynn took with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak during the Trump Transition in December, 2016. During that call, Kislyak raised the issue of outgoing President Obama’s recent imposition of new sanctions on Russia and expulsion of many of their “diplomats” (most of whom were no doubt spies) over allegations of Russian interference in the recent elections.

On the call – which was surreptitiously and probably illegally recorded by the FBI under one of its ill-gotten FISA warrants – Flynn advised Kislyak not to get into an escalating tit-for-tat with the Obama Administration. The notes released yesterday between Strzok and Pientka [Correction: The notes appear to have actually been authored by Bill Priestap, who was Strzok’s boss at the time of the entrapment effort.] reveal their plan to not play the recording of the call for Flynn, but rather to try to entrap him in a lie. This is because they knew they did not really have a case that Flynn had violated the Logan Act, and so they hoped they could build a case that he had lied to federal investigators.

As Comey and others have stated on the public record – Comey said it under oath to a congressional committee – no one at the FBI believed at the time that Flynn had in fact lied to Strzok and Pientka. Which is why Mueller and his American Gestapo thugs ended up coercing a guilty plea out of Flynn by threatening to abuse his son.

This is what was taking place under the imprimatur of the American system of “justice” in 2016 and 2017. This is the kind of clear and repugnant abuse of power that William Barr was brought in as Attorney General to identify and remove from the system. This is the kind of despicable deception of the court and abuse of the public trust that Judge Sullivan has allowed to take place in his courtroom for years now, as General Flynn has been bankrupted and forced to sell his family home.

When is enough enough? When will someone in a position of authority finally, at long last put an end to it and let this man who served his country honorably for more than 30 years get his life back?

McCarthy lays out the obvious solution: Sullivan should allow Flynn to vacate the obviously-coerced plea, which would then allow Barr to respond by withdrawing the charges.

At that point, the punishing of the real bad actors in this case should begin in earnest.

Just as I went to post this piece, President Trump issued the following tweet:

That’s certainly true, and it is fair to note that the President himself has the power to end this ongoing travesty of justice. What’s it going to take for you to act, Mr. President?

That is all.

General Mike Flynn’s Abusers Must be Punished [UPDATED]

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

“The top of the FBI was scum…human scum.” – President Donald Trump, April 18

That they were, and with Christopher Wray in the Director’s job, apparently still are. We have known for more than two years now that the human scum at the top of the nation’s utterly corrupt highest law enforcement agency in January, 2017 framed Trump’s first National Security Advisor, General Mike Flynn, got him fired, and that Gestapo Chief Robert Mueller and his staff then bullied him into entering a guilty plea by threatening his family. That’s what we have known for all that time just through what has been available on the public record.

Thanks to the December, 2019 Horowitz Report and the margin notes and footnotes that have been declassified over the last month, we know that the human scum atop the FBI from 2015 through 2019 systematically defrauded the FISA Court through the conscious use of false information, often provided by agents of foreign governments, including Russia. And, after last week’s forced release of additional documents in the Flynn trial, we know that corrupt DOJ lawyers, acting in concert with corrupt FBI officials, withheld exonerating evidence in that trial for well over two years.

In her supplemental filing last Friday, Flynn’s attorney Sidney Powell wrote, “All this new evidence, and the government has advised there is more to come, proves that the crimes were committed by the FBI officials and then the prosecutors. The government’s misconduct in this case is beyond shocking and reprehensible. It mandates dismissal.” She is a master of understatement.

If Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo is right, the dismissal of the case may be coming this week. Here’s a tweet she issued Sunday evening:

“It was all a total fraud. A set up.”

UPDATE: Here is a clip of the report Bartiromo aired on her program Monday morning (it takes a minute to load, so be patient with it):

Again, we have known these things beyond and reasonable doubt since 2018 just from what has been on the public record, yet the corrupt “human scum” within the FBI and DOJ have chosen to keep stringing this case along with unending delays and supplemental filings in a vain effort to find some graceful way out of it.

That effort hit a wall after Attorney General William Barr appointed a Missouri U.S. attorney to review the DOJ’s internal communications in the case specifically to determine whether key evidence had been withheld by DOJ employees. The release of said key evidence last Friday demonstrated that this examination had borne fruit.

Few people in American history have been as heinously abused by federal law enforcement and the U.S. court system as has General Flynn. That systemic abuse goes all the way up to the judge in the case, Federal District Judge Emmet Sullivan, who has steadfastly refused to dismiss the case even in the face of the overwhelming evidence of rank, possibly criminal misconduct by lead prosecutor Brandon Van Grack and his underlings.

Given his established pattern of working to protect the institution of the DOJ above other considerations, it is likely that Barr will try to let the case be dismissed without also punishing all the myriad bad actors involved in it, many of whom, like Van Grack, are still on his staff. That would be a malfeasance on his own part, but there is little anyone will be able to do about it. At the very least, Van Grack and every DOJ employee whose fingerprints are on this travesty of a frame-up should be fired, and Peter Strzok and Joe Pientka, the FBI agents who falsified their 302 reports from their initial interview of Flynn in January, 2017, should have the book thrown at them by John Durham.

Regardless, it will be a happy day to see General Flynn exonerated, if Bartiromo’s information is correct. Let’s pray it is, for his sake and the sake of his family.

That is all.

Trump on Obama-Era FBI Leaders: “They’re Human Scum.”

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

During his press conference on Sunday, President Donald Trump was asked by one of the Democrat operatives posing as reporters if he was considering pardoning Roger Stone before he begins to serve the prison sentence handed to him by his kangaroo court trial a few months ago. In his answer, the President implied  he considering a pardon not only for Stone, but for Paul Manafort and General Mike Flynn as well.

Here is a clip, followed by a transcript, of the President’s remarks on the subject:

Transcript:

Reporter: Mr. President, have you thought any more about pardoning Paul Manafort or Roger Stone so they’re not exposed to the coronavirus in jail?

Trump: Well, I just tell you this. Roger Stone was treated very unfairly. Paul Manafort, the black book turned out to be a fraud. We learned that out during the various last number of weeks or months. They had a black book that came out of Ukraine, turned out to be a fraud. Turned out to be a fraud. They convicted a man, turned out to be a fraud.

General Flynn was a highly respected person and it turned out to be a scam on him. The FBI said he didn’t lie and Mueller’s people wanted him to go to jail. Okay? So what am I going to do? You’ll find out what I’m going to do. I’m not going to say what I’m going to do, but I will tell you the whole thing turned out to be a scam, and it turned out to be a disgrace to our country, and it was a take down of a duly elected President.

These people suffered greatly. General Flynn, I mean, what they did to him, and even the FBI said, and they had some, and nobody’s a bigger fan of the FBI than me at the level of the people that really matter. But the top of the FBI was scum, and what they did to General Flynn, and you know it and everybody knows it, was a disgrace.

He was in the service for over 30 years. He ends up being a general and respected. Respected. And almost his first day in office, they come in with papers. They want to investigate him. Never happened before, and now the tables are turned. Investigate the investigators, I guess. These were crooked people. These are bad people. These are very dangerous people. You know what they are though? They’re scum. They’re human scum.

[End]

Indeed, the people at the top of the FBI at the time – James Comey, Andrew McCabe, James Baker, Bill Priestap, Peter Strzok – are human scum. And yes, there is no doubt whatsoever, based on the information we have on the public record today, that they were all involved – along with Robert Mueller and Rod Rosenstein and many others – in what was a coup d’etat on American soil. This is an unforgivable act, most likely authorized at the very highest levels of the Obama Administration, that must never be forgotten and just allowed to quietly fade from the national memory. Because if that’s allowed to happen, then we can be sure that similar operations will take place in the future.

If ever there was a time to start perp-walking these people before the cameras into the local police station and booking them on charges, it is now, while the entire country’s attention is focused on the news of the day. There has seldom been a similar time of national focus since the days following the 9/11 attacks 19 years ago.

U.S. Attorney John Durham, on the direction of Attorney General William Barr, has now been working on his “investigation of the investigators” for more than a year, far more than enough time to start producing tangible results. Yet here we sit, without a single perp walk, indictment or trial involving the human scum who first tried to fix a national election and then tried to take down a duly-elected President of the United States.

This situation is intolerable for a free nation, and it cannot be allowed to stand. President Trump could at least begin to start righting the excesses of the Nazi-style Mueller “investigation” by issuing pardons to Flynn and Stone, and even Manafort (who was actually convicted of some real wrongdoing) if he so chooses.

Somebody needs to do something real here.

That is all.

The Justice Department Blinks in the Michael Flynn Case

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Sidney Powell has the corrupt DOJ lawyers on their heels. – Some big developments took place in the case involving the coerced guilty plea by General Michael Flynn on Wednesday, as both sides made a series of key filings with the court.

First, General Flynn filed a motion to dismiss the case entirely, citing an array of government misconduct that is backed up by overwhelming documentary evidence.

Second, General Flynn filed a declaration requesting the court allow him to remove his plea of guilty entirely, citing misleading statements and document revisions by the FBI agents who performed the January, 2017 entrapment interview – Peter Strzok and Joe Pientka – along with threats made against Flynn’s son and family by lawyers working for Gestapo Chief, er, “Special Counsel” Robert Mueller.

Third, the corrupt DOJ lawyers, who in December had reversed an earlier recommendation of probation for Gen. Flynn in favor of prison time, reversed course yet again, filing a revised sentencing memo, one that again recommends probation.

Obviously, Flynn’s attorney, the brilliant Sidney Powell, has beaten the DOJ lawyers into submission. She has clearly revealed their own multiple deceptions to the court, clearly revealed the outright mendacity of Strzok, Pientka and other FBI officials who revised the original 302 forms from the entrapment interview and then “lost” the original – a virtual impossibility within the FBI’s document retention systems – and clearly revealed the despicable thuggery practiced by Mueller and his team of American Nazis.

Federal Judge Emmett Sullivan now has a decision to make: He can either sentence Gen. Flynn – hopefully to the probation now recommended by the government – or he can grant Flynn’s motion to withdraw his guilty plea and take the case to a full-blown trial. There is no question that the latter is the right way to go here.

Judge Sullivan has a well-earned reputation for fairness and disdain for government misconduct. He has now been presented by Powell with a literal mountain of evidence clearly documenting multiple instances of reprehensible misconduct on the part of the FBI, the Mueller team and the DOJ lawyers in this case, all in an effort to entrap, abuse, and persecute a man who has spent his entire adult life in stellar service to this country. Even worse, it is crystal clear that the thuggery deployed by the Mueller team was designed to force Flynn into offering dishonest testimony alleging misconduct by a duly-elected President of the United States.

The only people who deserve to be punished in this case are those who were and/or still are employed at the Department of Justice.

Judge Sullivan now has a prime opportunity to start righting all of the wrongs committed by these disloyal government officials against General Flynn.

Let’s hope he does the right thing.

That is all.

Flynn Withdraws Plea Deal in Sydney Powell’s Scorched-Earth Motion

Today’s Campaign Update, Part III
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Sydney Powell is not messing around with these corrupt DOJ lawyers. – Former National Security Advisor Lt. General Mike Flynn filed a motion to withdraw his plea of guilty in his entrapment case on Tuesday. The move comes a week after the government lawyers had reneged on their previous sentencing agreement with Flynn, and recommended Gen. Flynn serve jail time for allegedly misleading FBI Peter Strzok and Joe Pientka in the January 2017 entrapment meeting that helped to create the pretense for the Mueller Witch Hunt.

Flynn’s attorney, Sydney Powell, filed a motion that scorches the earth on which the corrupt DOJ lawyers prosecuting this case stand. The full motion can be found at this link. Here are some key outtakes from it [Bolding added for emphasis]:

Michael T. Flynn hereby moves to withdraw his plea because of the government’s bad faith, vindictiveness and breach of the plea agreement

Only after new counsel appeared did the government for the first time demand an admission and testimony from Mr. Flynn that he knew and intended when he signed the FARA registration form that it contained several material false statements. Not only was that demanded testimony a lie, but also, the prosecutors knew it was false

The prosecutors concocted the alleged “false statements” by their own misrepresentations, deceit, and omissions

Not only did Mr. Van Grack [lead government lawyer for this case] demand false testimony from Mr. Flynn about the alleged “false statements” in the FARA filing, but Mr. Van Grack also knew it was false because Mr. Flynn had explained it to him on June 25, 2018, in preparation for his testimony to the grand jury…

In pure spite, the government retaliated and sought to rescind its judicial admissions that Mr. Flynn was not a co-conspirator, obtained an ex parte emergency order from Judge Trenga, including a gag order, and moved up the date of the hearing on the issues without notice to counsel for Mr. Flynn. An agent improperly contacted Michael Flynn, Jr.…The prosecutors placed him on the witness list solely to harass him and to raise the threat and anxiety of the family at this crucial time. The prosecutors completed the trial without calling him as a witness…

Justice is not a game, and there should be no room for such gamesmanship in the Department of Justice…

The Government’s tactics in retaliation for Mr. Flynn’s refusal to “compose” for the prosecution is also a due process violation that can and should be stopped dead in its tracks by this court…

Keep praying for General Flynn. Great lawyers are invaluable, and he has a truly great one in Ms. Powell. But the government’s powers to abuse the process are enormous, and the judge in this case appears to be willing to turn a blind eye to the clearly corrupt manner in which this case has been conducted all along.

That is all.

The Barr Department of Justice Produces an Outrage in the Flynn Case

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

This is not encouraging. Not encouraging at all. – Early Tuesday afternoon, lawyers for the Justice Department prosecuting the case against Lt. General Mike Flynn revised their previous sentencing recommendation in the case. Last year they had recommended a probationary sentence for the former National Security Advisor, who pled guilty to lying the the FBI during their ambush interview of him in the early days of the Trump Administration.

Today, the DOJ lawyers – one of whom participated in the Mueller Witch Hunt – revised their recommendation to jail time of 0 to 6 months. As reported by Fox News:

In a reversal, the Justice Department has recommended up to six months of prison time for ex-national security adviser Michael Flynn—claiming he has refused to “accept responsibility” for his actions.

“Given the serious nature of the defendant’s offense, his apparent failure to accept responsibility, his failure to complete his cooperation in—and his affirmative efforts to undermine—the prosecution of [ex-Flynn associate] Bijan Rafiekian … the government recommends that the court sentence the defendant within the applicable Guidelines range of 0 to 6 months of incarceration,” federal prosecutors wrote in a sentencing memo on Tuesday.

In its new sentencing memorandum, the DOJ wrote, “The defendant’s conduct was more than just a series of lies; it was an abuse of trust,” adding, “The government acknowledges that the defendant’s history of military service, and his prior assistance to the government, though not substantial, may distinguish him from these other defendants. The government asks the Court to consider all of these factors, and to impose an appropriate sentence.”

Flynn’s lawyers will respond with their own sentencing recommendation in the next few days.

What’s really happening here is that the DOJ lawyers assigned to the case are angry that General Flynn decided to change lawyers in the midst of their and the FBI’s endless attempts to bully him into offering damaging information against President Trump and various other targets of the Mueller Witch Hunt. Flynn jettisoned his original counsel in favor of the much more aggressive Sydney Powell in December 2018, and since that time has levied a series of allegations of prosecutorial misconduct against the DOJ.

Again as reported by Fox:

In recent months, Powell has lobbed several accusations at federal prosecutors, claiming that they withheld critical documents necessary for the defense of her client. Powell has also demanded that the government turn over two cellphones used by overseas professor Joseph Mifsud, who told former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos that the Russians had “dirt” in the form of emails that could damage Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, claiming that the information would be “material, exculpatory, and relevant to the defense of Mr. Flynn.”

Powell also claimed that FBI agents manipulated the official records of Flynn’s 2017 interview that led to him being charged with lying to investigators in yet another attempt to get Flynn’s case thrown out.

Powell alleged that FBI officials manipulated his FBI 302 — the form used by agents to report or summarize interviews. It’s not clear who may have done the alleged editing, though ex-FBI agent Peter Strzok was involved in the original interview. She also alleged that, at the direction of former FBI Director James Comey, FBI former deputy director Andrew McCabe “personally called Flynn to pave the way for the uncounseled conversation.”

Flynn, for those who may have forgotten, originally decided to enter his guilty plea in 2017 after Mueller and his Witch Hunt gang threatened to go after his family. It was only after the government had requested a series of delays in the sentencing schedule that Flynn finally made the decision to hire Powell and fight back. Today’s revision of the government’s sentencing recommendation is payback from the Justice Department.

Not just any Justice Department, mind you, but the Trump DOJ led for the last 10 months by William Barr. Barr is supposed to be the stand-up guy, the Attorney General who was going to come in and put an end to the two-tiered system of [in]justice created during the Obama years.

Yet, here is General Flynn still being persecuted by Barr’s own employees all these months later. Meanwhile, Andrew McCabe, who not only has admitted to lying to FBI investigators, but who also had a criminal referral entered against him by DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz last year, still walks free and makes gobs of money as a paid contributor for CNN.

While Flynn is being threatened with prison time by Barr’s own lawyers, Obama-era hacks like James Comey, James Clapper, John Brennan and Peter Strzok – all of whom without any question at all committed multiple counts of perjury before congressional committees in 2017 – walk around free men, not subject to any harassment at all from the Department of [in]Justice.

Like most readers of the Campaign Update, I continue to harbor hope that Mr. Barr, through the John Durham investigation that he authorized and continues to at least publicly support, will ultimately begin to right all of the wrongs committed by his predecessors in office, and begin to re-balance this nation’s scales of justice.

But on days like today, when we see Barr’s own employees continue to shamefully abuse an American patriot like General Flynn, holding onto that hope becomes a real burden.

That is all.

Stop Asking About the ‘Durham Report’

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

When is the ‘Durham Report’ coming out?  – I get this question in some form or another pretty much every day. I get it in emails, in PMs on Facebook, in the comments section to this website. “When is the Durham Report coming out” has been this site’s top search term almost on a daily basis for months.

It’s a question that I never answer, for two main reasons. First, I don’t know the answer, and neither does anyone else. Second, and more importantly, is the simple fact that I don’t care, and neither should you.

Wait, what?

Seriously: Why do you care if you ever see a “report” from U.S. Attorney John Durham? John Durham is not a Special Counsel; he is not an Inspector General; he is not a congressional committee or a corrupt reporter or anyone else whose job it is to write reports.

John Durham is a U.S. Attorney, a prosecutor, a man whose job it is to put bad people in jail. Period.

I don’t want to ever see a damn report from John Durham. I am quite frankly sick to freaking death of seeing reports, and you should be, too. We have seen reports from half a dozen congressional committees, authored by Republicans and Democrats alike, and none of the bad actors from the Obama Coup Cabal have gone to prison. We have seen at least four different reports from DOJ IG Michael Horowitz, and none of the bad actors from the Coup Cabal have gone to prison. We have seen the report from Special Counsel Robert Mueller, and none of the bad actors from the Coup Cabal have gone to prison. We have seen a thousand reports from corrupt reporters, and none of the bad actors from the Coup Cabal have gone to prison.

I don’t want to see another report from John Durham. What I want to see from John Durham is a long series of indictments and perp walks and prosecutions and convictions with long prison sentences involving the real, true bad actors from the Obama-era Coup Cabal. I want to see all of those things targeting real, true bad actors like James Comey and John Brennan and James Clapper and Andrew McCabe and Lisa Page and Peter Strzok and Sally Yates and Loretta Lynch and James Baker and Bill Priestap and if it can be proved this neverending coup d’etat originated at the very top, Barack Obama his own self, too.

That is the job of a U.S. attorney, not writing some damn report that leads to nothing of any consequence. I have had a lifetime’s fill of do-nothing reports from toothless public officials. Now, it is time for a real U.S. Attorney, backed by the full power of the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Attorney General, to do his real, actual damn job and put people in prison for a long, long time.

That’s what I want to see from John Durham. That is what I am waiting for.

We know who the truly bad people are, we know what they did and why and when they did those things. Now it is time to start putting them in jail. If all we are going to get from Mr. Durham is just another report, then our country is well and truly doomed and there will be no recovering from it.

So, stop asking me that question, because frankly my dear friends, I don’t give a damn about seeing any report from John Durham.

All I want to see from Mr. Durham is justice.

That is all.

The Horowitz FISA Investigation May Have Found its Scapegoat

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Details of the Horowitz FISA report are leaking, and it all smacks of a whitewash. – Not that that outcome wasn’t completely predictable, since I warned you to fully expect that in yesterday’s Campaign Update.

Last night, CNN ran with a story – based on leaks no doubt obtained from one of the many ex-FBI snakes now employed by the fakest news channel on earth – proclaiming that Horowitz’s report will make claims of criminal activity by a single FBI lawyer, whose identity is not revealed in the story. Might it be James Baker, the former FBI general counsel now working for CNN as a contributor? Might it be Lisa Page, the paramour and co-conspirator to super-duper FBI stud Peter Strzok? We didn’t know, and CNN wasn’t telling.

What CNN did say about the nature of the potential charges against this lawyer is this:

A former FBI lawyer is under criminal investigation after allegedly altering a document related to 2016 surveillance of a Trump campaign adviser, several people briefed on the matter told CNN.

A little later in the evening, the Deep State mouthpieces at the Washington Post came in with a story of their own, and it revealed more about this lawyer’s identity. According to the Post:

The person under scrutiny is a low-level FBI lawyer who has since been forced out of the agency, according to the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss material that has not yet been made public.

Hilariously, after Wolf Blitzer carried a report on this CNN “breaking news,” the fake news channel’s own on-air fake talent studiously ignored it for the rest of the evening. Only in America’s dead profession of journalism would a news outlet work so hard to bury a major scoop that its own people were the first to report.

But the bottom line here is that Horowitz, true to his nature as a career creature of the DC Swamp, has apparently found the perfect scapegoat, a low-level lawyer who has already been forced out of his job and who can now become the sacrificial lamb, the offering to the public in a report that otherwise whitewashes the utter defrauding of the FISA process that we all know was led by Strzok, James Comey, Andrew McCabe and Rod Rosenstein, among others. We know a whitewash is very likely because the Post piece also contains this very disturbing passage:

That conduct did not alter Horowitz’s finding that the surveillance application of former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page had a proper legal and factual basis, the officials said.

Ugh.

The lone bit of potentially good news in all of this actually appears in the CNN report:

Horowitz turned over evidence on the allegedly altered document to John Durham, the federal prosecutor appointed early this year by Attorney General William Barr to conduct a broad investigation of intelligence gathered for the Russia probe by the CIA and other agencies, including the FBI. The altered document is also at least one focus of Durham’s criminal probe.

So, again, if you were expecting gang-buster, myriad criminal referrals to be contained in the report from career apparatchik Michael Horowitz, you would be well advised to cool your jets. While reports from CNN and the WaPo are highly suspect at best and far from definitive accounts of the totality of the Horowitz’s findings, they provide good initial foundation to believe the report will be a classic DC Swamp whitewash.

After all, if the report contained criminal referrals targeting the true major players in all of this, those major players would be working with their toadies at CNN, WaPo, the NYTimes and the networks to plant stories that smear Horowitz and contain more-preferred narratives.

If you want real justice to be levied at the coup cabal plotters, it will either come from John Durham and his investigation, or it will never come at all.

That is all.

Sidney Powell Lambasts the FBI For Falsifying Flynn 302 Forms

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

If Sidney Powell were representing a Democrat, Netflix would already be developing a mini-series based on her professional life. – The attorney for retired General Mike Flynn appeared on Fox News Tuesday night after government lawyers in the case made a filing with the court so audacious that it stretches the bounds of belief to the breaking point.

In that filing, government lawyers informed the totally badass Ms. Powell and Judge Emmet Sullivan that, for the past 18 solid months, they have “misidentified the authorship of handwritten notes from the January 24, 2017” ambush interview conducted with Gen. Flynn by FBI agents Peter Strzok and Joe Pientka (whose identity the corrupt news media continues to pretend not to know). Per the filing, “Specifically, we were informed that the notes we had identified as Peter Strzok’s, were actually the other agent’s [Pientka’s] notes, and what we had identified as the other agent’s notes were actually Strzok’s notes.”

Here is a photo of the complete letter:

Once again, the utterly corrupt coup cabal members who remain embeded within the FBI and the Department of Justice rely on the ignorance and general stupidity of the American public, and the willingness of our corrupt news media to refuse to report the truth.

Kudos are due, then, to Shannon Bream and Fox News for inviting badass Flynn defense attorney Sidney Powell to come on live late Tuesday evening to respond to this latest blatantly obvious abuse of the public trust by the government’s corrupt lawyers.

First, the clip of the interview, followed by a transcript dutifully provided to you by Today’s Campaign Update:

Here’s the transcript, for those of you who still like to actually read stuff:

Bream: An explosive new court filing on behalf of the President’s former national security advisor is demanding that the FBI search its own internal database for documents relating to Flynn’s fateful January 2017 interview at the White House. Flynn’s legal team is claiming the FBI substantially manipulated interview notes. The FBI says the changes were “largely grammatical and stylistic.” Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to investigators under Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe, but his sentencing is still up in the air after being delayed for months.

And breaking news late tonight: The government has just admitted it made an error with regard to key evidence in the case, and it involves Peter Strzok. So let’s go to the source: Michael Flynn’s attorney, Sidney Powell joins us live.

Let me ask you about this letter that comes out tonight; the government says, reaches out to you, and you’ve had questions about the hand-written notes that dealt with Flynn’s interview in January 2017. Tonight, the government admitting this: “We were informed that the notes that were identified as Peter Strzok’s were actually the other agent’s notes…and what we had identified as the other agent’s notes were in fact Strzok’s notes…We understand that this has caused some confusion, and we regret our error.”

Why is this so significant, Sidney?

Powell: [laughing] Well, it’s a rather crucial point of their case – the entire case against Mr. Flynn relies on what the agents say that he said in the interview that they didn’t warn him about or take any verbatim recording of or anything like that. So, their entire case depends on what these two agents said.

And now, we are realizing, 18 months later, they’re taking a look at their file and realizing, oh, by the way, we got the names of the two agents crossed on the notes? The notes that we told you were Mr. Strzok’s are not – they’re they other agent’s, and vice versa?

It’s appalling. What else have they gotten wrong? We can’t trust anything they say. This is all the more reason that we have to ask Judge Sullivan to produce every single document out of the FBI file, make them search their Sentinel system, produce the original 302, which is still missing. They can’t explain that, and the only way it could be ‘missing’ is if it is affirmatively destroyed. And there would be evidence of that.

So they have a lot of explaining to do.

Bream: Just a reminder for the audience: The 302s are those eventual reports [by the agents] about the interview that they had with someone, like Gen. Flynn, in the days after they had talked with him.

The Hill, in an opinion piece by James Davidson, says this: “Despite the recent court filing by former national security advisor and retired Gen. Michael Flynn about altered FBI interview summaries, there is unlikely to be any revelation that will overcome his admission under oath that he did, in fact, lie.”

Is it your hope that you will uncover something that is such a misrepresentation of the government’s case, or exculpatory evidence that change that? I mean, he did admit to these things and make a plea deal.

Powell: Well, there’s an explanation of that in our filings. Whoever wrote that story obviously hasn’t read both of the briefs that are so important. We know that agent Strzok conducted the interview as a pretext. We found a text message that the government didn’t produce that said that. And we [interrupted by Bream] know that Lisa Page had a hand…

Bream: Let me put that up to show what you’re talking about. This is February 10, 2017. Strzok says to Page: “I made your edits and sent them to Joe. I also emailed you an updated 302. I’m not asking you to edit it this weekend, I just wanted to send it to you.”

That’s allegedly Peter Strzok to Page. You believe that is a discussion about the Flynn 302.

Powell: Yes, that’s a discussion about the Flynn 302, included as exhibits 9 and 10 of our filing a week or two ago, the material changes that were made to the 302 that night. So, we have tied them directly to that email exchange.

Bream: To the FBI’s point: They say that the changes were “grammatical” or they were “stylistic.” [Powell laughs at this absurd contention] They say that allegations about content changes, or things that would have made a substantive difference, that’s just not accurate.

Powell: Well, people can look at the exhibits for themselves – actually, it may be exhibits 11 and 12. But they added a definitive statement that General Flynn did not say something that he had said, and another statement that he had elicited some responses to questions about Ambassador Kislyak, what he had said in response, and there’s nothing in the notes that supports that whatsoever.

It’s made up out of whole cloth.

I would encourage everyone to look at the exhibits for themselves, and the comparison of the February 10th 302 and the Feb. 11th 302. It shows dramatic changes made – no one could possibly call them ‘grammatical’ and ‘stylistic’ when you’ve added whole sentences out of thin air.

Bream: Do you have hard evidence at this point as to who made the changes?

Powell: No, we do not know. Without the meta-data and the audit trail, we cannot say who made the changes, other than the text message of Mr. Strzok reflects that he went back to the office that night to make Lisa Page’s changes and whatever else he wanted to change on his own.

Bream: Are you hopeful that there will actually be something that would overturn this plea deal? Do you think you have that much? Or are you hopeful that what you’ll uncover will be a missing piece?

Powell: There is already far more than enough to overturn the plea deal. I don’t want to go into the details of that now, but it is certainly apparent in our motion and our brief of what those are.

But I think we’re going to find even more that establishes the wrongful conduct of the government. We want the American people to see the whole truth about what happened here in the pretextual investigation of Gen. Flynn, and then the made up comments in the 302s.

[Interview Ends]

Judge Emmet Sullivan, a 1984 appointee by Ronald Reagan, has received a lot of praise over the years for his no-nonsense approach in court. But he has allowed these corrupt government lawyers to string this Flynn entrapment out for two solid years now and to get away with all manner of nonsense in this case.

As Powell says in this interview, her recent filings have provided overwhelming proof of government corruption in this case and of the outright falsification of the FBI 302 filings related to it. It is long past time for this Reagan appointee to quit behaving like an Obama or Clinton judge and shut this atrocity to American justice down.

That is all.

Boom: Barr and Durham Shift to Criminal Investigation

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

And just like that, stuff got real. –  That squeaky noise you heard early Thursday evening was the sound of sphincters tightening in unison all over the DC Swamp. That was when news leaked that Attorney General William Barr has authorized U.S. Attorney John Durham to shift gears.

What has to this point been an administrative inquiry into the origins of the Obama-era efforts by the coup cabal to spy on the Trump Campaign and Transition team will now become a full criminal inquiry. As the New York Times reluctantly reported, the move gives Durham and his team of prosecutors and investigators “the power to subpoena for witness testimony and documents, to convene a grand jury and to file criminal charges.”

It’s actually even better than that, enough to make the Deep State toadies at the Times and the rest of the fake news media want to cry.  Durham can in fact convene not just one grand jury, but as many grand juries as he wants and needs to convene. Better yet, because Durham is based in Connecticut, his grand juries can be convened there, outside of the 90% Democrat snake pit of Washington, DC.

Naturally, the Times, in its role as the chief propaganda organ for the Deep State, structured its story on the talking points of the Coup Cabal’s prevailing narrative. Here are the key outtakes:

The opening of a criminal investigation is likely to raise alarms that Mr. Trump is using the Justice Department to go after his perceived enemies. Mr. Trump fired James B. Comey, the F.B.I. director under whose watch agents opened the Russia inquiry, and has long assailed other top former law enforcement and intelligence officials as partisans who sought to block his election.

Mr. Trump has made clear that he sees the typically independent Justice Department as a tool to be wielded against his political enemies. That view factors into the impeachment investigation against him, as does his long obsession with the origins of the Russia inquiry.

This is all the standard nonsense. Trump has upset the DC Swamp way of doing things by being a Republican President who actually fights back when attacked. The Times and their fellow media toadies demand that Republican presidents remain silent and just take it when the DC Swamp and its propaganda machine rises to assault them.

Of course President Trump fired the utterly corrupt James Comey when he found out that Comey had spied on him and was still attempting to entrap him. Of course President Trump has lambasted Comey, Brennan and other former “top law enforcement officials,” since he knows that they were the leaders of Spygate and the neverending coup. Sure, George W. Bush and his Poppy never pushed back when the Swamp attacked – they were part of the Swamp themselves, as was Nixon.

The final 15 or so paragraphs of the slimy Times piece is a point-by-point recital of the coup plotters’ preferred narrative, no doubt dictated personally the lead plotters themselves. If it sounds like a story that was written by the Cabal’s defense lawyers, that’s because it most likely was.

You should read it just to become familiar with what you’re going to hear from Democrat talking heads and fake hosts all over cable television in the coming weeks. They will all recite passages from these paragraphs word-for-word, like the sock puppets they really are.

You can also expect the media/Democrat effort to smear Barr, which has already been underway for months, to now shift into high gear, and expand to also include Durham. The Deep State’s Alinsky-based model always requires the character assassination of anyone who rises as a threat, so that’s a given.

Interestingly, the news about this becoming a criminal investigation came right on the heels of DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz telling congress in a letter Thursday afternoon that he is finally, at long last, entering the final phases of getting his report on FISA abuse ready for public release. Horowitz had announced the completion of his report on September 13, and apparently has waited all the time since for the internal DOJ/FBI classification review to be completed.

As reported by the Washington Examiner, “Horowitz said the process is “ongoing” and “consistent with our usual practice when an OIG report involves classified information.” The inspector general said he expects the final report to “be released publicly with few redactions” and does not “anticipate a need to prepare and issue separate classified and public versions of the report.”

Horowitz also said that the report is “lengthy” and “concerns sensitive national security and law enforcement matters,” which could mean a lot of different things. And hey, after taking all this absurd amount of time to complete, the damn thing had better be “lengthy.”

It is also interesting to note that both of these announcements come right on cue, as the Deep State’s favorite fake news organizations have been mounting a furious drive to preach the Coup Cabal’s gospel on a daily basis, as we have detailed this week at the Campaign Update. Obviously, the Brennans and Comeys and Clappers and Strzoks of the world know what’s coming and are doing their best to set their narrative in place before the actual truth starts coming out and indictments start flying.

At least, we hope indictments will ultimately start flying. The wheels of justice do turn slowly when the process is meticulously followed, but man, this has been like waiting for a family of turtles to cross I-10 in Houston during rush hour traffic.

Who knows what it will all ultimately produce, but as of this morning, there’s some reason to hope that at least some of the Coup Cabal plotters will ultimately face justice for their betrayals of this country.

That is all.

New York Times Attempt to Craft a Narrative for the Coup Cabal Fails Miserably

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

If you pay close attention to the fake reporting of the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN and a few other Deep State fake news organizations, you can easily see how the FBI/CIA/State Department goons who choreographed the three year “Russia Collusion” fantasy play are trying to manipulate the public narrative in advance of the release of the Horowitz Report and the slow-rolling Barr/Durham investigation.

A piece published by the Times on Saturday serves as a prime example. The report, written by Adam Goldman and William Rashbaum, two of the most reliable deep state mouthpieces in the media, is chock-full of dozens of references to anonymous sources, all of whom most likely helped organize and lead the plot to fix the 2016 election for the Pantsuit Princess, and then to mount a coup d’etat on American soil. Although the reporters dutifully attempt to carefully craft the narrative here as a defense of treasonous snakes like Peter Strzok, Andrew McCabe, James Comey and other high officials who participated in this long-running betrayal of the United States, it fails miserably to do so.

What we end up with instead is a very long-winded indictment of these snakes in a piece that contains a series of revelations that will damage the reputations and defense efforts of everyone involved.

Let’s begin with the startling admission contained in this paragraph (I will add emphasis throughout the excerpts from the NY Times piece):

In his review, Mr. Durham has asked witnesses about the role of Christopher Steele, a former intelligence official from Britain who was hired to research Mr. Trump’s ties to Russia by a firm that was in turn financed by Democrats. Law enforcement officials used some of the information Mr. Steele compiled into a now-infamous dossier to obtain a secret wiretap on a Trump campaign adviser, Carter Page, whom they suspected was an agent of Russia.

So, here is the New York Times, the mouth organ of the Deep State narrative, admitting – albeit deep in the bowels of a very long piece – that the Steele Dossier was indeed funded by “Democrats.” The Times of course cannot go so far as to be specific about which “Democrats” – i.e., the Coughing Crook Campaign and the DNC – were involved in funding the effort, because that much truth in one article would cause most of its upper East Side readership to faint dead away with the vapors.

But putting that little nugget of truth into its pages is a stark admission that the Clinton Campaign literally paid millions of dollars to foreign agents to help them in an American election, an admission that most Times readers have likely never seen before.

Then there’s the lead paragraph:

Federal prosecutors reviewing the origins of the Russia investigation have asked witnesses pointed questions about any anti-Trump bias among former F.B.I. officials who are frequent targets of President Trump and about the earliest steps they took in the Russia inquiry, according to former officials and other people familiar with the review.

Note the use of the words “federal prosecutors” rather than “investigators,” because words are important here. This distinction, the first two words of a very long piece, clearly implies that the Times has been made aware by their Deep State buddies that Barr and Durham are not only pursuing actual indictments and prosecutions of some of their ranks, but have brought in multiple additional federal prosecutors to assist in the effort. This is a key shift in the fake media narrative, which has previously talked about Barr and Durham being just a couple of loose cannons mounting a rogue investigation in order to curry favor with President Trump.

The second paragraph is also quite interesting:

The prosecutors, led by John H. Durham, the United States attorney in Connecticut, have interviewed about two dozen former and current F.B.I. officials, the people said. Two former senior F.B.I. agents are assisting with the review, the people said.

Oh. Who might those two dozen “current and former FBI officials” be? We’ll have to wait to find out. But the more interesting bit of information here is that “two former senior FBI agents are assisting with the review.” Who might those agents be?

Well, about five paragraphs further into the piece, we find out who they are NOT:

Mr. Durham has yet to interview all the F.B.I. officials who played key roles in opening the Russian investigation in the summer of 2016, the people familiar with the review said. He has not spoken with Peter Strzok, a former top counterintelligence official who opened the inquiry; the former director James B. Comey or his deputy, Andrew G. McCabe; or James A. Baker, then the bureau’s general counsel.

So, Barr/Durham and their fellow prosecutors have interviewed dozens of current and former FBI officials, but they have yet to speak with four of the main suspects who we all know from public information already released were key leaders of the cabal. This would be common practice if those four are in fact targets of the investigation – the process would be to gather all the independent information possible to build a strong case prior to interviewing the actual targets. Very encouraging for those who desire to see actual justice done to at least some of the myriad bad actors in this matter.

Much later on in the piece, we find out who one of the “two former senior FBI agents” happens to be:

The former official said he was reassured by the presence of John C. Eckenrode, one of the former senior F.B.I. agents assisting Mr. Durham. Like Mr. Durham, who investigated C.I.A. torture of detainees overseas, Mr. Eckenrode is also familiar with high-stakes political inquiries.

How is Mr. Eckenrode famliar with “high-stakes political inquiries”? Way back in 2003-04, he worked for special counsel Patrick Fitzgerald on the Valerie Plame investigation. Some will view this association with a previous out-of-control special counsel as damning of Barr/Durham’s real intentions here, but the Fizgerald investigation would have involved literally dozens of FBI agents who were simply carrying out their orders in their daily jobs. When conducting a high-profile, controversial investigation such as this one, it would be perfectly natural for any U.S. Attorney to try to bring in assistants who have prior such experience.

Towards the end, the Times writers do their best to provide cover for their Deep State sources:

For example, the former official compared the F.B.I.’s handling of its two investigations related to Mr. Trump and his 2016 opponent, Hillary Clinton. Agents overtly investigated Mrs. Clinton’s use of a private email server but kept secret their counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign. If the F.B.I. had been trying to bolster Mrs. Clinton’s candidacy and hurt Mr. Trump’s, they could have buried the email investigation or taken more overt steps in the Russia inquiry.

This is, of course, abject nonsense. The Clinton email scandal had been in the news for many months, beginning way back in mid-2015. The corrupt and preening Comey, always concerned more about his public image than about the actual pursuit of justice, had no choice but to be seen as pursuing that investigation in a very public way. The fact that the fix was in for the Fainting Felon came with the release of internal FBI documents proving that Comey and Strzok drafted Clinton’s exoneration memo in May, 2016, two full months before they even bothered to interview her.

But this tired old narrative is all the Comeys and Strzoks have left to them, and the Times dutifully plays along, rolling it out there for the consumption of their willfully-deluded reader base.

The very publication of this narrative piece demonstrates the concern the coup plotters really are feeling about the pending release of the Horowitz Report and the ongoing conduct of the Barr/Durham investigation. It’s an effort – a miserably failed effort – to get out ahead of the release of the Horowitz Report, and to build a public narrative in defense of the bad actors as Barr and Durham advance towards seeking indictments. As the Times piece itself states in the lead sentence to its third paragraph:

The number of interviews shows that Mr. Durham’s review is further along than previously known.

Slowly but surely, the walls are closing in on the coup plotters.

Trey Gowdy Warns Us Not To Expect Any BOOM From The Horowitz FISA Report

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

In case you missed it, plodding, thus-far-inept DOJ IG Michael Horowitz sent a letter to congress yesterday notifying key committee chairs that he has finally, at long last, completed the initial draft if his eons-awaited report on FISA abuse. The report now goes to Attorney General William Barr and swamp rat FBI Director Christopher Wray to begin the internal review process. That process will likely consume another month or so, maybe even longer, before the public will finally, at long last, be able to see the fruits of Horowitz’s glacially-paced labors.

This, of course will set the stage for all manner of leaking and self-puffery by the subjects of the IG’s report, including John Brennan, James Comey, James Clapper, Peter Strzok and Andrew McCabe, to name just a few of the Usual Suspects who the public record already available clearly demonstrates defrauded the FISA court repeatedly during 2016-17.

It also sets the stage for wild anticipation and irrational optimism among Trump supporters who have been paying attention to all of this that Horowitz is somehow about to deliver the goods on all the participants in the Obama DOJ/FBI Cabal, the foundation that will result in all of them being tried for treason and shipped off to prison for the rest of their lives.

Like clockwork, former prosecutor and ex-congressman Trey Gowdy appeared on Sean Hannity’s show last night to caution everyone to cool your heels and tamp down your expectations. Below is a video clip of that appearance, with a partial transcript to follow:

Here’s a partial transcript for those of you who still like to read stuff:

Gowdy: “It’s hard to convince 12 people of anything – I used to have to do that for a living. It’s tough. You’ve gotta dot every I and cross every T.

“Candidly, it is more difficult if it is a high-profile defendant. So, if they go forward with McCabe, it’s going to be a tough trial. You don’t want the U.S. government going to trial and losing on a regular basis. They lost the Greg Craig case, and that’s not good. If you’re going to go to trial, you need to win.”

Hannity shifts the subject to the IG Report producing indictments:

Gowdy: “You have to find a criminal statute if your objective is indictment. That is why I’m very clear every time I appear on your show that we cannot live in a society where an indictment is the only thing that carries any stigma [valid point there –  more on that at the bottom of this piece].

“Most of the names in this FISA abuse process have already been fired or publicly called to task. Jim Comey, twice now, the IG said ‘you did not meet our expectations. You failed to follow policy. You violated your employment agreement.’ All of that has to be significant.

“I used to try to make representations in court, and I tried real hard to be honest and fair about it. But let’s assume that I didn’t tell the court something. The remedy for me is not indictment. The remedy is I may lose my law license, I may be held in contempt.”

[Hannity interrupts, which is what he is good at, but makes a good point about the use of the unverified Dossier as the basis for the FISA warrants being a conscious fraud on the court, which it was. Repeatedly.]

Gowdy: “Well, if you were a lawyer, you’d lose your law license, and the court could hold you in contempt. You would be held in contempt of court, absolutely and you can go to jail for that. But I don’t know that lawyers who make factual misrepresentations in front of judges get indicted. You’re gonna get punished, you’re gonna be held in contempt, you may get sent to prison.

“I’m not minimizing anything they’ve done. I’m saying we’ve gotta attach the right punishment to the right offense.”

[Hannity visibly angry now: “But by signing that, they’re denying an American citizen their constitutional rights. They’re literally using that lie to spy on a presidential candidate, and then transition.”]

Gowdy: “Aha! We’ve identified a statute! Using the color of a government official – it could be a 1983 action. And that’s all I’m saying – we have gotta match up the conduct with an official code violation. What you just laid out is a 1983 violation.  Now, we’re getting somewhere!” [Note: U.S. Code Sec. 1983 allows prosecutors to pursue a civil action against anyone acting “under color of law” to deprive an American citizen of their civil rights. It is not a criminal statute.]

[Hannity: “I’ll send you Greg Jarrett’s list, he’s identified a whole bunch of violations.”]

Gowdy: “Don’t sent it to me, send it to Bill Barr.”

[Hannity dissembles about not knowing Barr. Interview ends.]

So, if you’ve been reading all those Twitter-based tick-tock conspiracy mongers and and watching Hannity air the same program every night for the last 18 months, leading you to believe the IG’s report was going to lower the BOOM on all the participants in the Obama Cabal, well, sorry. Trey Gowdy, a former prosecutor who never lost a case is here to tell you to dampen those expectations and go watch some football this weekend instead.

Finally, let’s review this passage of Gowdy’s comments:

“That is why I’m very clear every time I appear on your show that we cannot live in a society where an indictment is the only thing that carries any stigma [valid point there –  more on that at the bottom of this piece].

“Most of the names in this FISA abuse process have already been fired or publicly called to task. Jim Comey, twice now, the IG said ‘you did not meet our expectations. You failed to follow policy. You violated your employment agreement.’ All of that has to be significant.”

Of course, Gowdy’s absolutely right there. Public stigma used to be a vital aspect of punishing bad actors like the Cabal participants whenever the government couldn’t succeed in actually prosecuting them under criminal statutes.

The problem, though, is that that stigma no longer exists for anyone who is opposed to President Donald Trump. That stigma can only exist if our society has a real, working news media establishment that is willing to lay out the truth of their acts to the public and shame them for it. Our fake new media no longer serves that function related to anyone opposed to Trump. In fact, those bad actors are not only NOT shamed by the media, many of them are handsomely rewarded by the media with big “contributor” contracts. Witness Andrew McCabe, John Brennan, James Clapper as prime examples.

Peter Strzok and Comey were fired, but then were rewarded by the media with big book deals. Strzok and McCabe were both able to collect hundreds of thousands of dollars from demented leftists when they set-up online funds for their legal defense. On and on the depravity on the political left and in our fake news media goes.

So, while what Gowdy says there used to be correct in a U.S. society of decades ago, it is utterly irrelevant in today’s world. Absent indictments – or, as Gowdy repeatedly implies in this interview, being held in contempt by the FISA court and spending jail time for that – all of these co-conspirators will just keep laughing all the way to the bank with money largely provided them by our fake news media.

Sad, but true.

That is all.

No Sympathy for the Devil, er, Robert Mueller

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Reminder: Arkancide can strike at anytime, anywhere. – Convicted and newly-accused pedophile and longtime friend of the Clintons Jeffrey Epstein was found “injured and in a fetal position inside his cell at a New York city jail” yesterday, according to officials involved in his current legal proceedings.

NBC Channel 4 in New York City reports that jail officials initially claimed the incident was the result of an attempted “suicide”, but Channel 4 says another source claims that “an assault has not been ruled out, and that another inmate was questioned.” Oh, you don’t say.

The story continues: “The inmate who investigators have talked to in Lower Manhattan facility has been identified as Nicholas Tartaglione, according to two sources. Tartaglione is a former police officer in Westchester County who was arrested in December 2016 and accused of killing four men in an alleged cocaine distribution conspiracy, then burying their bodies in his yard in Otisville in Orange County, according to court records.”

Sounds like a prince of a man. Hey, wonder if he’s ever been to Arkansas?

Sympathy for Robert Mueller? Sorry, I’m all out. – I was criticized yesterday for not showing proper “sympathy” for Robert Mueller, given his obviously diminished state. I received several notes pointing out that Mueller is after all an ex-Marine (we should all be grateful for that service) and that our real ire should be directed at the evil Andrew Weissman and the other Mueller bad hires who actually ran the two-year Witch Hunt and actually wrote the despicable final Mueller Report.

Well, sorry, folks, I’m not buying that nonsense. While Mueller is, as noted above, in an obviously diminished mental state and at this point appears to barely have his wits about him, let’s all review how he ended up in that witness chair yesterday:

  • It is well-documented that Mueller is in fact a very close friend of James Comey – despite his hemming and hawing on that yesterday – whose highly-justified firing was used by Rod Rosenstein as the pretense to create the Special Counsel investigation. That conflict of interest alone would have led an actual ethical person to refuse the appointment. Mueller didn’t care.
  • It is also well-documented that, in the week leading up to the appointment, Mueller held a series of meetings with Rosenstein – another close friend, another blatant conflict of interest – in which they discussed the prospect of his becoming Special Counsel.
  • Even worse, it is well-documented – despite Mueller’s half-hearted denial – that the day before he was appointed to become Special Counsel by his good friend Rosenstein, Mueller actually met with President Donald Trump himself, to discuss the open FBI Director’s position.
  • Mueller didn’t take this job on the spur of the moment, as so many in our fake news media have falsely claimed, he plotted to get this job.

Ask yourself: Are these the behaviors of an admirable man, a man for whom we should now have sympathy because he is obviously aging badly? But there is more, much, much more:

  • We are supposed to now be angered at Weissman, the “real” bad guy here (and he is a very, very bad guy), but who hired Weissman? Robert Mueller hired Weissman, knowing fully his sordid history of abusing his power and ignoring the law, and knowing fully his support of Hillary Clinton and personal animus towards President Trump.
  • Even worse than that, Mueller took the job knowing from Day 1 that, in the famous words of Super Duper ex-FBI Agent and aspiring Latin Lover Peter Strzok, there was no ‘there there.’ Mueller and everyone he hired knew from the first day on the job that “Russia Collusion” was a fantasy play invented by the DNC, the Clinton Campaign and Christopher Steele with cooperation from agents from a variety of foreign governments including – gasp! – RUSSIA.
  • Mueller took the job knowing that the job was in fact an attempt at a coup d’etat on American soil, an effort to remove a sitting, duly-elected President of the United States of America by whatever means he and his evil minions could concoct.
  • Regardless of who actually did the work, Mueller lent his name and reputation to this heinous enterprise, an act of mendacity of unprecedented scope and goal in American history.
  • Mueller’s name sat atop the Special Counsel’s offices, no one else’s. All the Gestapo tactics, all the despicable abuses of civil rights, all the early morning raids, all the torture-like imprisonments, all the bully tactics designed to force witnesses to lie to save their own skins – all of those things were conducted under the name of Robert Mueller, no one else.
  • The final report that was issued, the report that threw all semblance of legal ethics and due process so vital to our personal freedoms to the wind, is called “The Mueller Report,” not the Weissman Report. Regardless of who actually wrote the words in that report – words that continuously shocked and visibly surprised Mueller himself when read back to him yesterday – those words were written and published under the name of Robert Mueller, and Robert Mueller personally placed his signature on that report.

So, if y’all want to express your sympathy for Robert Mueller in his obviously-diminished state, you go right ahead. Do it and enjoy it and even signal your virtue about it on social media.

Me? I’ll reserve my sympathies for General Mike Flynn and Jerome Corsi and Roger Stone and George Papadopoulous and all the myriad other American citizens whose constitutional rights were abused and personal lives were destroyed under Mueller’s name. And I will remain angry about the evil fantasy play Mueller put our nation through for the last two solid years.

Damn him for doing it.

That is all.

The Democrats Won’t Stop the Madness Until They’re Stopped

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Several times a week, I get some variation of this question: “When are the Democrats going to stop all of this madness?” – The simple answer, of course, is that they aren’t. The behavior of the leaders of the Democrat Party and their toadies in the fake news media is only going to become increasingly radical and unhinged until they are stopped.

Many had thought – hoped – that their despicable daily behavior would calm down somewhat after the Mueller Witch Hunt had shut down and exonerated President Donald Trump. That obviously didn’t happen, and the Democrats and their media toadies did what they always do: Double-down on deception.

Attorney General William Barr released a 95% un-redacted version of the Mueller Report, and the Democrats screamed “cover-up!” Then he made 99% of the Report available to all Democrat members of congress, and they screamed “cover-up!” Then he spent a total now of more than 20 hours testifying before various congressional committees about it, and the Democrats in the House decided to hold him in contempt for telling the truth and refusing to break the law.

If this doesn’t strike you as normal behavior, that’s because it is decidedly abnormal behavior.

As we’ve said many times before here at the Campaign Update, nothing the Democrats do is normal or organic. Everything they do and say in public is pre-planned, coordinated with their media toadies, and highly scripted, all designed to reflect their narrative of the day. This is why Rush Limbaugh is able to cobble together those hilarious montage clips of dozens of Democrats/talking heads/fake reporters using exactly the same words on some given issue 2-3 times every week. He could do it every day if his staff had the time.

Yesterday’s narrative, for example, was “we’re in a constitutional crisis,” which happens to be true since the Democrats, led by San Fran Nan and Jabba the Nadler, have worked very hard over the past couple of months to create such a crisis out of whole cloth. After his committee held its kangaroo court vote to hold Barr in “contempt of congress” Wednesday afternoon, Nadler promptly rushed to the nearest camera to declare that “we are in a constitutional crisis.”

As if on cue – because it was on cue – every Democrat spokesman on TV, every fake host on CNN and MSNBC, every news anchor on the major networks and every political writer at the major fake newspapers began using those exact words in all of their reporting. This narrative continued through Thursday as well, along with the incredibly stupid non-story about Trump’s losing a bunch of money back in the 1980s/early 1990s, a story he told himself in his book “The Art of the Comeback” and on his TV show “The Apprentice.”

To understand why they behave the way they do, you must understand the Democrat hive-mindset. Simply put, Democrats believe they are entitled to political power. They believe they are smarter than you are, they believe they are more moral and caring and compassionate than you are, and because they believe those things, they also believe they have the right to tell you how to live your lives.

Just a decade ago, they thought they had consolidated that power and the ability to dictate everything you do every day on a permanent basis. They’d just elected America’s Worst Mistake, Barack Hussein Obama, and empowered him with massive majority control of both houses of congress. They had shoved through a massive fake ‘stimulus’ package designed to nothing but expand the scope and scale of an array of federal regulatory agencies, had their EPA working on regulating your drainage ditches and backyard ponds, had their congress extending those 6-month unemployment benefits to a near-permanent entitlement, and were working on a cap and trade system on carbon that would bankrupt whatever was left of Obama’s economy and a bill to nationalize the nation’s healthcare system.

All was bliss and kisses in Democrat fantasy land. It was 2009, and the narrative then, repeated endlessly by all the talking heads and fake reporters, was that the Democrats now had created a “permanent majority” in our country, and America was thus entering its “new normal.”

And here’s the thing that has the Democrat so perpetually enraged today: They believed their own bullshit. (Pardon my language.) They do that all the time, actually – see the whole “Russia Collusion” fantasy play as the latest grand example.

But they are all so enraged today – and become more enraged with each passing hour – because they still believe that bullshit. They still believe they are the chosen ones, the ones to dictate to all you little people out there in Flyover Country, the ones who are entitled to power.

That’s the mindset that led Barack Obama and James Comey and John Brennan and Peter Strzok and Andrew McCabe and Sally Yates and all manner of other high Obama officials to engage in a plot to fix the 2016 elections and then to try and fail to execute a coup d’etat on American soil. They did all of that because they really, truly did believe they were entitled to do it, and that the Pantsuit Princess was entitled to the presidency.

They created Antifa, a violent terrorist organization, in response to Trump’s election because they believe they are entitled to power. They created the Mueller Witch Hunt because they believe they are entitled to power. They’ve created this constitutional crisis because they believe they are entitled to power.

Between today and November 2020, they will continued to ramp up the insanity and violence because they believe they are entitled to power. And after Donald Trump is re-elected, the Democrats and their media toadies will still continue to ramp up the insanity.

Until someone stops them. Until the people who committed all of these bad acts start being prosecuted and going to prison. A lot of them. And if that never happens, if the day never comes when they know they will be subject to prosecution for committing these seditious, treasonous acts against our country, the Democrats and their media toadies will keep ramping up the insanity until they have whipped our nation into another civil war.

These are not people who can be reasoned with, because they are not rational people. They must be defeated and they must be stopped. If William Barr and the Department of Justice are not up to this task, then God help us.

That is all.

The Media Mounts a Final Desperate Effort to Protect Barack Obama

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

The fake news media is going into overdrive. – Over the last 48 hours, we have now had the three fakest fake news outlets push their toadyism on behalf of the panicking Democrats and Deep State to a new level. On Wednesday night, the New York Times put the deep state spin on the Obama FBI’s spying operations against the Trump Campaign; Thursday night saw the release of CNN’s latest fake poll, a desperate effort to prop up the flagging campaign of Irish Bob O’Rourke; and Friday afternoon, the reliable old Washington Post jumped in with an op/ed from the execrable hack Paul Waldman.

Waldman’s piece is an obvious effort to set the narrative for the deep state as Attorney General William Barr pursues his own investigations into the origins of the Obama FBI/DOJ/CIA spying operations against the Trump Campaign. The goal of this narrative is to smear Barr – who, it is now obvious, is our nation’s first real, functional attorney general concerned about the rule of law in over a decade – in an effort to render any findings he makes as illegitimate, nothing but the work of Donald Trump weaponizing the Department of Justice to go after his opponents.

It is, in other words, the ultimate case of the media/Democrat favorite tactic of Projection: The tactic of accusing your opponents of doing exactly the things you yourself are in fact guilty of having done.

This is the beginning of a desperate effort by the Democrat/media propaganda complex to provide one final layer of cover for the head honcho who actually did deploy the FBI and DOJ and CIA to attack his opponents. It’s an operation designed to protect the guy who oversaw the entire operation and actively guided it – America’s Worst Mistake, Barack Hussein Obama. For those of us who have been paying close attention to all of the information that has come out into the public domain, Obama’s fingerprints have always been all over this illegal spying operation mounted against the opposition party’s presidential campaign.

The spying on the Trump Campaign was mounted as a counterintelligence operation by the FBI, recommended first by CIA Director John Brennan, authorized by FBI Director James Comey and managed by Deputy Chief of the Counterintelligence Division Peter Strzok. As a matter of routine, the President of the United States is given weekly briefings of the FBI’s counterintelligence operations. At the very least, Obama was fully aware of everything that was going on, a reality borne out in myriad text messages between Strzok and his paramour Lisa Page.

All of this and so much more is a matter of public record already – it is not in doubt. The fake news media has done everything it can to keep the public living in blissful ignorance about it all, but more and more Americans become aware every day, and that trend will speed up massively with the release of the pending Horowitz reports and the coming declassification of all of the underlying documents by President Trump, which will also begin to take place in the coming weeks.

So Barr must be smeared – it’s the media’s only remaining shield for Obama His Own Self. And it isn’t just Barr – other key players must and will be smeared as well.

You should expect the Post or the Times to quickly begin mounting a similar smear campaign against DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, since he is supposed to issue his own reports on a) the rampant Obama-era abuse of the FISA process, and b) the leaking habits of ex-FBI Director and current Teen Drama Queen James Comey in the coming weeks. Why? Because all the perceived enemies of the Deep State/Democrat Party must be smeared. Their reputations must be besmirched as a matter of protecting the media’s puppet masters.

What about Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham? You should expect to soon see the media mounting a smear campaign against him as well, since he is promising to use his committee to mount its own investigation into the origins of the spying operation. Graham, a life-long bachelor, has long been the subject of rumors that he is a closeted gay man. Already, we are seeing despicable cretins like Rosie O’Donnell, Alec Baldwin and Chelsea Handler launching gay smears at him via their own Twitter accounts. You should expect to see the Usual Suspect media outlets – The Post, the Times, CNN, MSNBC, etc. – to soon start running stories pushing rumors about Graham, stories they would never even consider running about any Democrat.

Yes, it is despicable. Yes, it is beneath contempt. But hey, this the fake news media and Democrats we’re talking about here. You expected something else?

That is all.

SPOTLIGHT: The Week Spygate Started To Unravel

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

I’m old enough to remember when the fake news media treated the Fake Trump Dossier as if it were the holy grail. – And yet, by the end of this week just past, old Watergate fossil Bob Woodward had joined the New York Times, Michael Isikoff and other media luminaries in an obvious coordinated effort to start covering their butts as the thing begins to unravel:

This was just one of many events from the week just past that indicate the tables are beginning to turn on the Deep State Cabal that worked within DOJ and the FBI to fix the 2016 election and tried to effect a coup d’etat to remove President Trump from office after that initial effort had failed. Here are some other significant revelations that took place throughout the week.

Florida Republican Matt Gaetz, appearing on Judge Jeanine Piro’s show, had this gem:

We should all keep in mind that many people in our national news media were not just innocent bystanders in the conspiracy to fix the 2016 election: They were in fact active participants and must be held accountable just as the Comeys and Brennans and Strzoks must be held to account for their actions.

Then we had this, from Tom Fitton at Judicial Watch:

The Weiner laptop is not the real story here – anyone paying attention already knew about all of that. The real story is that the FBI found many of the emails the Pantsuit Princess deleted from her illegal server on computers in Barack Obama’s executive office. Just one more item of evidence pointing the finger at the very top.

Keep in mind that the spying operation on the Trump campaign – “Crossfire Hurricane” – was mounted as a counterintelligence operation at the FBI, and Barack Obama received a weekly briefing on all counterintelligence issues. He was no innocent bystander in all of this, either.

Next up, two GOP senators reveal that the spying went on long after the election was over.:

We already knew all of this but the important aspect here is that the letter from Grassley and Johnson kicks off a formal discovery process in the two committees they chair.

And then this happened…

At the end of the week, it was revealed that the wife of former Mike Pence Chief of Staff Josh Pitcock actually worked for FBI Super Duper Hotshot Peter Strzok throughout the entire spying operation and well into the days of the Mueller Witch Hunt.  I swear I don’t make this stuff up.:

So what does it all mean? It means that one of the big functions of the Mueller operation was to provide an umbrella with which to cover up all the bad stuff that was done at the FBI and DOJ by the Obama people. Now that the Witch Hunt has closed up shop, the cover umbrella is no longer functional, and the real information about the real bad actors is slowly starting to trickle out into the public domain.

The situation for all the bad actors is further complicated now by the sudden realization that it is looking as if William Barr is a real Attorney General who is focused on doing his actual job, and not just another DC establishment hack who will do his best to cover all of this up. We must hope that appearance is not deceiving.

This was a big, important week, folks. Expect more big and important weeks to follow.

That is all.

Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson Lob a Bombshell over to William Barr

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Well, that’s kind of a big deal.  – The fake news media and Teen Drama Queen James Comey will no doubt squeal that they shouldn’t use that bad word, “spying”, but Senators Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson disagree. Grassley, who chairs the Senate Finance Committee and Johnson, Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, sent a joint letter over to Attorney General William Barr on Thursday in which they detail their concerns that the Obama-era Deep State Cabal within the DOJ and FBI continued to spy on the Trump operation after it had failed to fix the election for the Pantsuit Princess.

The letter cites texts between FBI Super-Duper Agent Peter Strzok and his illicit lover, FBI lawyer Lisa Page as evidence that efforts to entrap Trump officials in situations that could be construed as being improper was still ongoing weeks after the election had come and gone. The letter also notes the vast array of illegal leaks being published by the fake news media during the transition, leaks containing information that almost surely came from someone within DOJ or the FBI.  Here’s a key passage:

Additionally, we note that a number of news outlets have reported sensitive information related to the investigation into alleged Russian collusion with the Trump campaign. Those reports have revealed sensitive information focusing on the FBI sending informants to meet withTrump advisors; a warrant to surveil Carter Page; and the United Kingdom signal intelligence agency briefing former CIA Director John Brennan on alleged communications between Trump’s campaign and Russian officials, among other things. 11 Notably, the Justice Department Inspector General’s review of the Clinton investigation found “profound concerns about the volume and extent of unauthorized media contacts by FBI personnel…” 12 It appears the same happened during the Russia investigation. Leaks to the media about ongoing investigations undermine the ability of investigators to properly investigate. Moreover, sensitive leaks to the media while members of congress performing constitutionally mandated oversight are kept in the dark is unacceptable.

The senators, both of whose committees have oversight over the activities of the DOJ, go on to order Barr to work with their staff to schedule a joint hearing in the near future to provide testimony to the committees about the following:

  1. Please describe the nature and extent of your review of FBI surveillance of theTrump Campaign, President-elect Trump’s transition staff, Vice Presidentelect Pence’s transition staff, President Trump’s staff, and Vice PresidentPence’s staff, including your efforts to determine whether that surveillance was adequately predicated.
  2. How many counter-intelligence briefings were provided to the Trump and Pence transition staffs prior to Inauguration Day? Please list the dates, all agencies involved, and each official that represented those agencies at the briefings.
  3. Many of the FBI employees involved in these activities are no longer employed by the federal government. How will your review obtain information needed from these individuals?

Now, this is all a bit of well-orchestrated Washington, DC kabuki theater, of course. Anyone who has been paying attention to the information that has come to light about the Obama Administrations efforts to spy on the Trump camp has been aware for well over a year that those efforts continued not only through the transition, but that Obama holdovers at DOJ and the FBI kept it all going well after Trump’s inauguration.

Hell, that’s essentially what the entire Mueller Witch Hunt was all about. At the end of the day, it was little more than a Deep State-sanctioned intelligence-gathering operation designed to entrap Trump officials and provide the Democrats with both a roadmap to impeachment and opposition research to use during the 2020 campaign.

But now that Mueller’s operation has folded up shop, it’s finally time for the tables to turn. The letter from Grassley and Johnson demanding a hearing is just a part of the process necessary to start building the public record and case against the real law-breakers. You can be sure that Barr is well aware of the Obama conspiracy to fix the 2016 election and then find a way to depose Trump after he was elected. He was aware of all of that when he wrote his famous 2018 piece slamming the legitimacy of the entire special counsel process, in fact.

So this is not necessarily a “bombshell” for Barr or the few among us who have been paying attention to the case being built against the real bad actors, but for the 99.9% of the population who have been letting the fake news media distract them with all those fake news shiny objects, it is. This letter is a big deal, because it is the trigger that formally kicks off a process of revealing real information to the public through these two key committees.

That’s how this game ultimately works in Washington: Fake justice is very loud, quick and in-your-face on the 24-hour cable channels; but the wheels of real justice turn slowly, inexorably, and take place mainly behind the scenes.

That is all.

Bombshell: FBI Retrieved Deleted Hillary Clinton Emails From Obama’s White House Office

Today’s Campaign Update, Part III
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

I thought this was plenty important for a separate, mid-day Campaign Update. – Tom Fitton and Judicial Watch just tweeted the following revelation, courtesy of interrogatories they were able to do with assistant director of the FBI Counterintelligence Division Bill Priestap:

Judicial Watch was able to obtain this information as part of as court-ordered discovery related to its ongoing lawsuit related to the Clinton email issue. Priestap has long been considered to be a key witness to the activities of the Obama-era Deep State Cabal, as he served as the direct supervisor over super-duper FBI hotdog Peter Strzok throughout 2016 and 2017.

Democrats/Media Double-Down on the Fake News After Barr Bombshell Testimony

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Well, this will be an interesting day – but what else is new? – The Ecuadorian Embassy in London withdrew the asylum status it had granted WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange seven years ago, and turned him over to U.S. authorities. This just happened at about 5:00 a.m. Central Time as I was beginning to compile this piece, so I have no more details other than that.

What do you do when the fake news fails? You double down on faking the news. – If you’re a Democrat or a Democrat activist pretending to be a journalist, that’s what you do, anyway.

If it appears to you that leading Democrats and their media partners at CNN, MSNBC, the New York Times, the Washington Post and every other major media outlet are in an outright panic this morning, that’s only because they are. Definitely in a panic. A big one.

After Attorney General William Barr revealed to the Senate Judiciary Committee that he is forming a team to investigate the origins of the Obama FBI/DOJ’s decision to spy on the Trump Campaign throughout the 2016 elections, Democrats and their media agents went into overdrive pushing their joint talking points, which when summarized amount to “Barr is corrupt!”

Hey, wasn’t just a few months ago that all the leading Democrats were praising President Donald Trump for picking an old Bushie to be his next Attorney General? Of course, back then the Dems all assumed that Barr must hate Trump just like all the Bushes do, and that Trump was stupidly putting a Democrat ally in the AG’s spot.

You know what “assume” does, don’t you? It makes an “ass” out of “u” and “me.” And all the leading Democrats and their media agents, too.

San Fran Nan had the most revealing comment on Barr, saying in an interview with some fake “journalist” at the Associated Press that Barr is “going off the rails.” Yes, see, he was supposed to stay “on the rails” the Democrats and Robert Mueller had laid out for him, and now he is straying from the desired narrative on President Trump and the Russia Collusion fantasy.

Then there was always-reliable Pelosi toady Steny Hoyer, who of course stayed right on the dictated script of the day with “He is acting as an employee of the president. I believe the Attorney General believes he needs to protect the president of the United States.” Oh, you don’t say? How shocking you would utter those exact words, words that were then parroted by pretty much every Democrat talking head and fake news media lapdog on the nation’s cable news networks, and in the two big newspapers that serve as the reliable print propaganda arm of the Democrat Party.

It’s all such an incredibly tiresome game, yet they will continue to play it because it is literally all they have left.

But there is an interesting aspect in this, and that comes in observing which players in the Russia Collusion fantasy/illegal spying effort who aren’t talking, and haven’t been for a while.

Let’s start with Obama-era CIA Director and noted communist John Brennan. On March 26, two days after Barr released his four-page summary of the Mueller report, Brennan appeared on MSNBC’s Democrat propaganda show “Morning Joe,” and blamed all of the seditious statements he’s made about “Russia Collusion” on bad information he’d gotten from his “sources” who may or may not actually exist.

Two days later, the bombastic ex-spymaster issued a single tweet in which he said “It doesn’t matter if you are a Republican, a Democrat, an Independent, or an American of any or of no political affiliation. We all should hold our elected officials and those who hold the public’s trust to the highest ethical and moral standards, most especially Presidents.” Oh, golly, how high-minded of him.

Since that tweet, it had been two solid weeks of radio silence from one of MSNBC’s most highly-paid “contributors.” No tweets, no mornings with Joe and Mika, nothing.

Until last night, that is, when he appeared on MSNBC’s “Hardball” program with Chris Matthews, and said only that he was “disappointed” that the Attorney General used the word “spying” in this testimony to describe what were without any doubt at all the spying actions conducted by the DOJ/FBI cabal against the Trump Campaign and Trump Transition Team. None of Brennan’s usual bombast, none of his standard accusations that President Trump committed “treason”, just an expression of disappointment.

Why, it’s almost as if some lawyer has given him some new, toned-down talking points.

Same thing with James Comey, Obama’s favorite FBI Director and current teenage drama queen. Comey made one radio appearance and one TV appearance in the few days following the issuance of the Mueller report, along with a couple of his typically weird tweets. But since that last April fool’s joke tweet, nothing. Nada. Radio silence.

I’m sure it’s just coincidence, but that’s exactly what a good defense lawyer would advise Comey to do.  Nothing. Shut up. Be quiet.

What about Andrew McCabe? Just a few months ago, McCabe was all the rage, doing interviews on “60 Minutes”, appearing with the shrews on “The View”, hawking his book and just generally enjoying his post-FBI thug life.

But now? Well, suddenly he’s nowhere to be found. Not a public word out of him in weeks. Why, it’s almost as if he’s lawyered up or something.

Where’s FBI Super-Duper Agent Peter Strzok? Or his paramour, Lisa Page? Man, MSNBC just can’t find a good ex-FBI guest willing to libel the President on live TV these days. No wonder their  and CNN’s ratings are tanking.

Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of people.

That is all.

Barr Delivers Off-topic Bombshells at Budget Hearing

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Those loud noises you hear are the sounds of American liberal heads exploding. – Despite being the target of a clownish witch hunt of his own, Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu was indirectly elected to serve a record fifth term in that job yesterday in Israel’s parliamentary elections. His conservative Likud Party in fact received its strongest percentage of the vote since the 2003 elections, winning 35 seats in the 120 seat legislature, where it will be able to form an alliance with other conservative parties who together won 30 seats.

All the “experts” had of course predicted that Netanyahu would be brought down by the media-promoted witch hunt in which politically-motivated prosecutors threaten to indict him for allegedly accepting illegal gifts from leaders of other nations and his wife for filing to be reimbursed by the government for the costs of holding state dinners at the couple’s modest home. This kind prosecuturial nonsense was rewarded by voters with a significant shift in favor of Netanyahu and other conservative parties when compared to the results of the country’s previous three elections. Just wait until you hear all the liberal heads exploding here in the U.S. when the same kind of backlash takes place in our country’s own 2020 elections. It will be glorious.

Meanwhile, here in America, the New York Times just kept on faking the news for its demented leftist reader base, declaring these very positive results to be a “setback” for Netanyahu, based not on the actual election results, but by always-inaccurate exit polls conducted by fake news media organizations.  I swear I don’t make this stuff up. Who could?

Do we finally have a real attorney general on the job? – Bob Barr certainly made all the right noises during his testimony before the House Appropriations Committee yesterday.

In what was supposed to be a hearing about his department’s budget for Fiscal Year 2021, Barr was of course repeatedly questioned by craven Democrats who have no interest in actually doing their job about the Mueller report and when he plans to release it. During the course of that off-topic questioning by rank demagogues, the Attorney General delivered a wealth of extremely interesting information:

  • On the Mueller report, he said he would likely be able to release a properly-redacted version of it within the next week, and even hilariously promised to color-code the redactions for Democrats who aren’t capable of reading or thinking above a third-grade level.
  • He spelled out four areas of information he would redact consistent with statutes that have been on the books for decades:  1) grand jury information; 2) information related to U.S. intelligence-gathering; 3) information that could compromise ongoing investigations; and 4) information that could violate the privacy of individuals who were not direct subjects of the Mueller witch hunt.
  • Regarding his four-page summary of the Mueller report that was released two weeks ago, Barr revealed that he offered Mueller the opportunity to review and comment on the summary prior to its release, an offer Mueller refused to accept.
  • Barr told the committee that he anticipates that DOJ Inspector General Micheal Horowitz will finally, at long last, be wrapping up his own investigation into the rampant abuse of the FISA process by the deep state cabal inside his department sometime in May. Yay.

All of that is fine and good, but then came the really big news:

  • The Attorney General informed the committee that he has initiated an investigation into how, why and when the FBI decided to begin a counterintelligence investigation into the Trump Campaign, which we know actually began in late 2015 despite FBI and media lies claiming it only started in July, 2016.

If true – and there is no apparent reason not to take Barr at his word at this point in time – this is a very big deal, because any honest and thorough investigation into that particular subject will inevitably reveal that all of these Obama-era DOJ and FBI officials and their media co-conspirators have been lying to congress, investigators and the public about all of this for two and a half years now.

Further, any honest and thorough investigation into this subject will inevitably ensnare James Comey, Peter Strzok, Andrew McCabe, Lisa Page, Bruce and Nellie Ohr, Sally Yates and even Obama CIA Director John Brennan in its web, in addition to many others. Such an investigation would also inevitably reveal that Attorney General Loretta Lynch was intimately aware of everything that was happening, as well as then-President Barack Hussein Obama, given that every president receives a weekly briefing on U.S. counterintelligence operations.

Sadly, here is what Barr’s revelation also most likely reveals: That Salt Lake City U.S. Attorney John Huber and his staff of hundreds of investigators have most likely not been doing a damn thing on any of this over the last 18 months. It was the fall of 2017 when ex-Attorney General Jeff Sessions used Huber as a lame excuse for his refusal to appoint a second special counsel to look into all of this, claiming then that he had authorized Huber to conduct this exact investigation. Apparently, that was just a dodge by an attorney general who was intent on doing nothing, and did nothing well.

As I said, we have no reason not to take Barr at his word at this point in time, and we can always hope he is not engaging in a Sessions-style dodge now. Hopefully, he won’t give us any reason to start doubting his word in the months to come.

Our nation needs justice here, real justice.  Demands it, in fact.

That is all.

The Misplaced Priorities of the FBI and DOJ Protect the Deep State Seditionists

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

But…but…but wouldn’t that be double jeopardy? Answer: No.  – Corrupt Cook County State’s Attorney Kimberly Foxx and a corrupt state judge can fix things for Jussie Smollett at the state level, but there isn’t a thing they can do to help him out with federal crimes he may have committed in his effort to smear President Donald Trump and his millions of supporters.

Before he claimed to have been attacked by two MAGA-cap-wearing thugs – a claim the Chicago PD investigated and determined to have been laughably false – Smollett may have committed the federal crime of mail fraud. A week prior to that alleged assault, a threatening letter arrived at the offices of “Empire”, complete with “MAGA” smeared across the envelope.

Investigators suspect Smollett mailed the letter to himself in his pathological efforts to get himself a raise by convincing the TV series’ producers that he had become a widely-recognized star. You seriously cannot make this stuff up.

This would be a classic case of mail fraud, a federal crime for which Paul Manafort is, in part, spending the next 5 years in prison. Some legal talking heads are speculating further that Smollett could even be prosecuted under the federal hate crimes laws, given the Chicago PD’s belief that the fake assault he planned and paid for (with a personal check, no less) amounts to the commission of a hate crime against himself.  Awesome.

The President himself let it be known early Thursday morning that the DOJ  and FBI are actually on this particular case for once:

Which embarrassment are we talking about here, Mr. President – Smollett, Chicago’s corrupt politics, or the FBI and DOJ? – It’s a great question, isn’t it?

No doubt it’s a good thing that federal investigators will be trying to bring some real justice down around this despicable actor’s head, but it’s pretty hard to celebrate that without noting at the same time the ongoing, abject failure of the DOJ to assert similar justice on those who spent all of 2016 trying to fix the presidential election and all of 2017 and 2018 attempting to execute a coup d’etat.

It seems the FBI and DOJ have all sorts of assets to dedicate to chasing a 3rd-tier actor or rich parents who bribe universities to admit their under-performing children – an investigation to which the FBI bragged it had dedicated no less than 300(!) agents. But when it comes to indicting and raiding the homes and perp-walking deep state snakes like James Comey, Sally Yates, Andrew McCabe and Peter Strzok, well, suddenly they apparently can’t be bothered to lift a finger.

And what of John Brennan, the Obama-era CIA Director and living embodiment of “Homeland” character Dar Adal? Here is a guy who has leveraged his experience as a former spymaster into a lucrative “analyst” gig with MSNBC, from which perch he has spent the last two years accusing the sitting President of committing treason.

Talk about projection – this guy was involved in this deep state coup up to his wrinkled neck. It has been public knowledge for well over a year that he in fact was involved in the authorization of the use of the fake Trump Dossier to obtain the FISA warrants needed to spy on the Trump Campaign and Transition team. Senator Rand Paul apparently just discovered this reality on Wednesday, and issued this tweet in response:

Yes, he should be subpoenaed to testify under oath – although he would not doubt just lie to congress as he has done multiple times in the past.

But more than that, he should be under a focused investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice and the FBI that it oversees. If we have a legitimate, respectable system of justice, he and all the others named above and many more should be the subject of grand jury investigations involving massive dedication of FBI resources, just like all those celebrity parents were. In “Homeland”, the Dar Adal character ended up in prison. It’s fun to envision his real-life personification joining him there, but there is precious little visible evidence that anyone at DOJ is working to make that happen.

Our President just survived a slow-rolling coup attempt guided by Gestapo Chief, er, “Special Counsel” Robert Mueller. The people who led that attempt must not be allowed to walk away from it unscathed by the justice system.

So, yes, by all means, let the DOJ go after Jussie Smollett and toss him in the federal pen if he is indeed guilty.  But let’s not pretend that doing that should be the DOJ’s highest priority.

There are so many bigger fish to fry, and it’s long past time we saw someone who works for William Barr heating up the grease.

That is all.
