Get Used to it: The Capitol Wall Will be Made Permanent

I keep telling readers that the wall around the U.S. Capitol Building and the military presence surrounding it are destined to become a permanent feature of our new District of Columbia police state. Two new reports from mainstream liberal media outlets are now rolling out details of how DC Democrats plan to fund and execute that transition in their ongoing efforts to pretend that nebulous bands of “Trump supporters” present a threat to congressional security.

From the story at Red State:

According to Bloomberg, Congressional leaders are now putting together a $2 billion dollar funding bill for that permanent retractable fencing around the Capitol, more officers for the Capitol Police, improved weaponry and emergency communications, as well as other “enhance protections for lawmakers.”

CNN is reporting it as:

A permanent fence around the Capitol, hundreds of new security personnel — either the National Guard or a military police presence — and new authorities for the District of Columbia’s National Guard to be dispatched in emergency situations, one of the sources said. The plan under consideration also would expand the US Capitol Police force, potentially by hiring hundreds more officers, and make changes to the USCP’s board.

All of this subject to change as it’s still in discussion and according to Bloomberg might even involve more money.

Some of the recommendations are coming from the review by retired general Russel Honore who was hired without consultation with the Republicans by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) to look into what happened on Jan. 6.

[End]

More from the CNN report:

Honoré’s report included many of the proposals the House is now considering, including putting up retractable and mobile fencing at the Capitol, providing additional authorities for the DC Guard and restructuring the Capitol Police board and improving Capitol Police intelligence gathering. House Appropriations Chairwoman Rosa DeLauro said after Honoré’s report was released that she expected a “substantial” funding package to shore up security at the Capitol.

But while talks are underway, it remains to be seen whether Republicans will bristle at a new funding package. The price tag they’re discussing was reported earlier by Punchbowl News.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and other Republicans have slammed Honoré, who was appointed without Republican consultation, for comments he made before he was appointed about the January 6 attack.

“I don’t think Honoré should have been in charge of this, based upon his comments, not long ago but short ago,” McCarthy said Thursday. “He had a preconceived notion that was wrong, so I disregard the report entirely because of that.”

[End]

So, the Republicans will put up a half-hearted public fight over the matter, but at the end of the day, Pelosi will get her way, turning the nation’s capital into a permanent police state designed to protect the illegitimate government currently in place there. Of course, Pelosi also plans to make that illegitimate government permanent as well.

This is what a coup d’etat in a banana republic looks like. Thanks, Democrats, for bringing it to America.

That is all.

Saturday News Roundup: Pelosi, Biden and Newsom Show How Grift and Fraud Makes the Democrat World go Round

Man, nobody could’ve seen this one coming. – The big news out of California this week is that the utterly incompetent jackasses in the Newsom administration paid out no less than $31 billion in fraudulent unemployment payments since last April. I say “no less than” because some reports peg the number at a cool $50 billion. And that’s just in one state.

Here’s an excerpt from a story at the Washington Examiner:

An arm of the California government admitted that up to $31 billion in unemployment funds may have been sent to fraudsters.

“Of the $114 billion in unemployment paid by California since March, approximately 10% has been confirmed as fraudulent. An additional 17% of the paid claims have been identified as potentially fraudulent,” Secretary for the California Labor and Workforce Development Agency Julie Su said in a California Employment Development Department conference call.

Earlier this month, the state estimated that $10 billion in unemployment benefits was fraudulently sent, with some of the funds going to organized crime organizations in China and Russia. Initial estimations reported that around $4 billion was sent out fraudulently.

“There is no sugar-coating the reality: California did not have sufficient security measures in place to prevent this level of fraud,” Su said.

[End]

Oh. You don’t say. Yeah, I guess when you’re sending unemployment checks to crime organizations in China and Russia, your security measures could be said to be lacking.

Holy crap.

Hunter’s far from the only despicable grifter in the Biden family. – China Joe Potato Head Biden’s brother Frank is also deep into the slimy influence game the family has thrived on for the last half-century. Yesterday it was revealed that he has recently been the star of his law firm’s solicitations for powerful new clients in need of access to the White House, because of course that’s what anyone named Biden would have been doing:

That little revelation led to a story at Politico titled …

‘For Christ’s sake, watch yourself’: Biden warns family over business dealings

Here’s an excerpt from that delightful expose’:

In the midst of his campaign for president, Joe Biden took his younger brother, Frank, aside to issue a warning.

“For Christ’s sake, watch yourself,” Biden said of his brother’s potential business dealings, according to a person with knowledge of the conversation. “Don’t get sucked into something that would, first of all, hurt you.”

Biden, whose tone was both “jocular and serious,” according to the person, seemed to know then what is becoming plainly obvious now: His family’s business ties threatened to undermine an administration whose messaging is centered on restoring integrity in the White House.

Relatives’ money-making ventures, most prominently his son Hunter’s overseas dealings, have long dogged Biden. But it’s taking on a new dimension now that he’s in the White House.

Only a week into his presidency, Biden already has had to answer for matters related to his family. A law firm ad promoting Frank Biden’s relationship with the president caused a stir when it ran on Inauguration Day. A federal investigation into Biden’s son, Hunter, has invited scrutiny of just how strict a firewall he’ll keep between the White House and the Justice Department. And another of the president’s brothers, James, has previously come under fire for his business dealings.

[End]

Of course, the rest of that Politico story is your standard corrupt news media puff piece, a classic inoculation story designed to insulate China Joe from any further media scrutiny by giving other media outlets the ability claim it’s all “old news” and “already reported” now. Because that’s what our corrupt, Nazi-style news media does for corrupt Democrat politicians.

Speaking of corrupt Democrat politicians… – How about that Nancy Pelosi, huh? Man, if anyone in Washington knows best about how to get stinking, filthy rich off of a position of high power in Washington, DC, it’s San Fran Nan and her husband, San Fran Paul. These people have turned the practice of insider trading into an art form over the past 30 years, and aren’t about to stop now that China Joe’s occupying the White House.

See, insider trading is highly illegal for you and all the other little people in America, and every once in a while the DOJ even nabs one of the big people in America for doing it, as they did with Martha Stewart several years back, just to set an example. But the DOJ will never ever prosecute a member of congress for blatantly violating this set of laws for the simple fact that congress controls the DOJ’s budget. Oh, they might perform a perfunctory investigation of some congressional Republican, like they did with North Carolina Senator Richard Burr for about 5 minutes last year, but the chance of any member of congress, especially powerful members like San Fran Nan, ever actually being brought up on charges are roughly the same as John Durham ever handing down an actual indictment of one of the ObamaGate thugs. It’s just not gonna happen.

So it is that we get this story yesterday from JustTheNews.com:

Here’s an excerpt from that story:

Ethics watchdogs say the timing of large purchases of Tesla stock by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul raises ethics concerns due to an appearance of insider trading.

Paul Pelosi reportedly purchased up to $1 million in stock from electric car giant Tesla last month. President Joe Biden, meanwhile, announced this week that his administration intends to take the entire federal fleet of automobiles electric.

The move by Pelosi was “corrupt and unacceptable,” TakeBack.org Executive Director John Pudner claimed in an interview with the Washington Times this week.

“Even if the actual charges are not provable beyond a reasonable doubt or trigger SEC action, the timing of trades with potential insider information always looks bad,” a former federal prosecutor told the publication.

A spokesman for the speaker said that “her husband, not the speaker, made the Tesla bets and the speaker’s political relationships were irrelevant,” the Times reported.

[End]

No big deal. The Speaker knew Biden’s order was coming, told San Fran Paul about it and San Fran Paul went out and made the trades so that San Fran Nan would have “plausible deniability,” that great get out of jail free card in Washington, DC.

And you’re supposed to just take Pelosi’s word for it like every fawning Democrat toady in the Nazi-style news media is going to do. After all, if it weren’t for the preservation of influence grifts like the Biden family’s or insider trading grifts like the Pelosi family has used for decades, why, no one in Washington would ever be able to become fabulously wealthy while pretending to engage in public service. And that wouldn’t be fair, would it?

I kid you not: That really is how these people think. It is in fact how they live every day of their despicable lives.

That is all.

Impeachment is not Just About Trump: It’s About Intimidating his Supporters

Many of you are no doubt wondering why it is that congressional Democrats and their shameful RINO supporters are intent upon going through with a Senate trial to finalize their latest scam impeachment of Donald J. Trump. After all, Mr. Trump is now a private citizen, and the impeachment process is clearly intended to be applied only to active holders of federal office by the Constitution.

But, Constitution be damned, Nancy Pelosi made it clear yesterday that she and her fellow evil minions plan to force this process through to the bitter end in an effort to ban Trump from ever holding public office again. That is how truly frightened the UniParty Democans and Republicrats remain of this singular man, without question the most accomplished American president in modern times.

Well, wonder no more, as the corrupt hacks at Slate have a piece out today that fully explains the UniParty’s rationale for hounding Trump until he is safely neutered. That piece, written by despicable hack Dahlia Lithwick, details an interview conducted with Juliette Kayyem, who served as assistant secretary at the Department of Homeland Security under President Barack Obama, because of course she is an Obama minion. What else would she be?

Here are some excerpts from that piece at Slate:

Dahlia Lithwick: I want to start by asking you about this phrase stochastic terrorism because you’ve been saying it and saying it. And I feel like I wrote it this week, and then one of my dear friends was like, “What the hell does that mean?” Can you explain what it means?”

Juliette Kayyem: It doesn’t roll off the tongue, I know. I think the first time I used it publicly was in 2018. I had been looking at what Trump was doing, and inciting violence was not the right terminology, because it was a particular type of violence. It was a violence that was directed toward political gain. Now, that could be whether it’s against a mayor he doesn’t like, or a governor he doesn’t like, or people he doesn’t like, or media personalities, as he’s often wont to do. And the means that he did it is stochastic terrorism. Stochastic means random.

It’s a way of thinking about violence. And it’s when a leader uses his platform to motivate and incite violence in a way in which the violence is much more likely to occur, but who does it and where it’s done is utterly random. So, after a Trump speech, is it more likely someone might do something? Yes. Or a Trump tweet.

I don’t feel comfortable calling Trump a terrorist just because I think that then we’re going to get into that debate. But it’s important to say that he’s the spiritual and operational leader of a domestic terrorism movement and that’s where we’ve landed. And that’s what I’ve been writing and talking about. And I did it not for name-calling but because now, I think, can we think about the prisms of counterterrorism as a solution?

That is what’s important so that you get to the counterterrorism framework: OK, what can we do, knowing now that this is an organized domestic threat? All of a sudden, the tools become more obvious: do all the things that you would otherwise do with any criminal organization. You prosecute, you investigate. [This includes not just Trump, but all of his supporters.]

You cut off the money. What the private sector is doing is fantastic. You deplatform the leader. So, thank you, Twitter and Facebook, for this short moment in time—we’ll get back to you later. You isolate, you shame, you use every political gesture you can. [Classic Saul Alinskyism.]

Crushed is a little strong, but you just want to weaken him, because it’s now about recruitment. It’s about whether we can contain this, prosecute those who’ve been violent, off-ramp those who may want to off-ramp. There’s something to shame, and to them realizing what’s going on. And we’ve got a lot of people in that camp. Let’s make sure he can’t recruit. And so he needs to be [the] loser.

[End]

Get all of that? The Swamp feels it must continue to hound, shame and persecute Trump because of you, you 75 million Trump voters who the Swamp now will characterize as “domestic terrorists.”

If it still isn’t clear enough for you, watch this clip of Obama CIA director John Brennan, who, along with DNI James Clapper and FBI Directors Robert Mueller and James Comey, weaponized the entirety of the U.S. Intelligence Community against ordinary Americans under Obama:

Got that? China Joe’s Intelligence Community is not moving against Trump, it is moving against 75 million ordinary Americans who the Swamp/Uniparty considers to be a “pro-Trump insurgency”, not against America, but against the privileged interests of the Swamp elite. (By the way, the very fact that Brennan is making 7 figures as a “contributor” for MSNBC instead of sleeping on a cot at Gitmo is also designed to intimidate you.)

Just as the Swamp and its media/Big Tech toadies spent months telegraphing their plans for stealing the presidential election, they are now plainly telegraphing their plans to force you all to submit. Thus, this impeachment/removal of a man who has already left office is not merely about Trump, it is about shaming and intimidating all of his 75 million voters to submit to the Swamp’s will.

They always telegraph their plans, folks. All you have to do is pay attention.

That is all.

Sunday News Roundup: Dozen GOP Senators Will Oppose Electoral Cert and San Fran Nan Polices Pronouns

San Fran Nan goes full-on SJW. – San Fran Nan, under deep pressure from OAC and her gang of lunatic leftists, issued a new set of House rules on Saturday that in part will eliminate the use of proper pronouns that members can use to identify one another. In a sop to the transgender lobby, proper English language pronouns like “he” and “she” will be replaced with improper pronouns like “xe” and “they”.

No, I’m not making this up. From a story at Axios:

The U.S. House of Representatives is poised to rewrite its rules — swapping out male and female references like “he” and “she” for gender-neutral terms — in a diversity and inclusion push by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats that’s drawing scorn from Republicans.

Why it matters: The proposal comes as transgender and non-binary candidates are being elected around the country, progressives are gaining influence in the Democratic politics and U.S. schools and companies are adjusting policies and language to reflect society’s changing views on sexuality and gender identification.

  • The proposed changes were announced Friday ahead of two pivotal runoffs in Georgia on Jan. 5 to decide which party controls the Senate — and could stoke turnout among its supporters or opponents.
  • Members are expected to consider the package next week.

[End]

In a story at The Hill, House Rules Chair Jim McGovern (D-Mass.) is quoted as saying that “This proposal also shines a light on those struggling to get ahead in America today and ensures we remain focused on the most pressing issues facing our nation.” Yes, friends, it is now the official policy of the Democrat Party that pronouns are among the “most pressing issues facing our nation.”

Not Section 230; not getting our men and women out of myriad wars in foreign hell-holes; not a balloning debt or a fading economy or reining in out-of-control governors; the Democrat Party is focused on PRONOUNS.

Just so y’all know, my preferred pronouns are “Bubba” and “Tex.” Please be sure that you use them properly, as in “Bubba’s fixin’ to go fix that leaky sprinkler system,” or “Tex ate them enchiladas like a hog eats slop.”

Holy crap.

Fauci continues boiling the American frog. – The little menace to society was at it again on Saturday, moving the goal posts of Bill Gates’s globalist Great Reset down the field even further. This time, Fauci, in is own inimicable way, not so subtly suggests that it would be perfectly reasonable for the government to start issuing “COVID-19 vaccine passports” that would limit travel, school and attending public gathering to only those who have taken the shots, a step I had warned you about a week ago.

Gee, what a surprise.

From a story at the Daily Caller:

In an interview with Newsweek, Dr. Anthony Fauci floated the possibility that the coronavirus vaccine would be made mandatory for things like school and travel.

Dr. Fauci, the Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) explained that there could be a “possibility of introducing COVID-19 vaccine passports,” as well as making the vaccine mandatory at the local level, Newsweek reported.

When asked if there was the possibility that the vaccine could be mandatory for school Fauci explained, “That is possible but that’s something that’s mandated at the state level and city level. A citywide school system might require it in some cities but not other cities. And that’s what I mean by things not being done centrally but locally.”

[End]

As always, Fauci carefully couches his fascist ambitions as mere possibilities and as mandates that would have to be placed on the population by others. But the reality is that his role in the steadily-advancing assault on individual freedoms has been that of the “expert” stalking horse, the media darling who consistently awards his seal of approval for these anti-constitutional actions in advance so that the tyrant governors and mayors can claim their brutish treatment of their citizens is supported by “science.”

Herman Goering would have absolutely worshipped Anthony Fauci.

Sen. Josh Hawley gets some company. – I’ve spent the last several days praising Missouri Sen. Josh Hawley for being the first – and until yesterday, only – GOP senator to stand up and say he will challenge congress’s January 6 effort to certify the clearly fraudulent Electoral Vote. I couldn’t help wondering out loud why normally stalwart conservatives like Ted Cruz, Tom Cotton, Rand Paul and a handful of other GOP senators weren’t standing with Hawley and his defiance of Mitch McConnell’s “go along to get along” edict on the matter.

Well, yesterday, Sen. Cruz and 10 more Republican senators decided to finally step up and be counted among those who are properly disturbed by election theft happening all around them, further demanding the conduct of a “10-day emergency audit” of the vote. But interestingly, Senators Paul and Cotton are not among this Gang of 11.

From a story at The Hill:

Eleven Senate Republicans on Saturday announced that they will vote for objections to the Electoral College results Wednesday, when Congress convenes in a joint session to formally count the vote.

GOP Sens. Ted Cruz (Texas), Ron Johnson (Wis.), James Lankford (Okla.), Steve Daines (Mont.), John Kennedy (La.), Marsha Blackburn (Tenn.) and Mike Braun (Ind.) and Sens.-elect Cynthia Lummis (Wyo.), Roger Marshall (Kan.), Bill Hagerty (Tenn.) and Tommy Tuberville (Ala.) said in a joint statement that they will vote against accepting the election results until there is a 10-day audit.

“Congress should immediately appoint an Electoral Commission, with full investigatory and fact-finding authority, to conduct an emergency 10-day audit of the election returns in the disputed states,” they said. “Once completed, individual states would evaluate the Commission’s findings and could convene a special legislative session to certify a change in their vote, if needed.

The senators didn’t say in their joint statement if they plan to object to the results from specific states, how they would divvy up those objections or if they would just vote in support of challenges to the Electoral College results if they reach the Senate.

[End]

Why Cotton or Paul are not among the now-dozen GOP senators willing to lodge a challenge is anyone’s guess, since neither has been asked or chosen to comment as far as I can tell. Regardless, you now have a dozen GOP senators and well over 100 members of the House who have figured out that the Trump support base, and thus, at least 80% of the GOP’s entire support base, is not going to be placated on this particular issue.

The fact that so many other GOP members of congress still haven’t figured that fact of life out says nothing good about the future of the Republican Party. Those folks are whistling past their own political graveyards.

That is all.

Saturday News Roundup: Joe Potato Head Biden and San Fran Nan Say the Quiet Parts Out Loud

China Quid Pro Joe Potato Head Biden and San Fran Nan Pelosi both violated the cardinal rule of DC Swamp Kabuki Theater on Friday: They said the parts that are supposed to remain quiet out loud.

For the last 6 months I and many others have written about the probability that Biden is just a place-holder, selected by the Democrat Party to “win” the office only because Kamala Harris – their preferred choice – was to awful a candidate to have any hope of winning. Once installed in the Oval Office, Joe Potato Head would quickly develop some “health-related issue” to use as a reason for resigning and deeding the presidency to the sock puppet Harris. There never really has been any mystery about this being the Democrat plan: It’s been obvious from the day they fixed the South Carolina primary for Biden.

On Friday, Joe Potato Head’s creeping dementia took over his mouth and he just came right out and admitted that’s going to happen at the first sign of disagreement with his designated successor.

Watch with the sound turned on:

Oh. You don’t say. If you think Joe Potato Head was just joking around there, just give it ’til March or so and watch what happens. You’ll be welcoming President Kamala before you know it.

Then there was San Fran Nan, speaking to the assembled lapdog press a little bit later in the day, looking and sounding for all the world like a villain out of a Batman movie. Pelosi spent the entirety of August through Election Day personally serving as a decrepit, doddering, slobbering roadblock to any and all Covid-related stimulus legislation. She also spent every day of those three months lying about what she was doing.

Well, on Friday, she not only admitted what she’s done, she bragged that she is really quite proud of it all. You don’t have to believe me – just watch and listen:

Oh.

In other unintentionally hilarious news, Joe Potato Head told Fake Jake Tapper on CNN that he will make sure that his crook son Hunter doesn’t do anything to mess up his presidency, because of course he says that.

From a story at the New York Post:

President-elect Joe Biden said Thursday his son Hunter Biden won’t reap an overseas business windfall from his new job as commander-in-chief.

“My son, my family will not be involved in any business, any enterprise that is in conflict with or appears to be in conflict with where there’s appropriate distance from the presidency and government,” Biden told CNN journalist Jake Tapper in a taped interview.

Hunter Biden’s business relationships in China, Kazakhstan, Russia and Ukraine became a major focus in the weeks ahead of the Nov. 3 election.

An abandoned laptop provided by a Delaware computer repairman to President Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani contained bombshell documents appearing to implicate Joe Biden in his son’s business relationships in China and Ukraine.

[End]

Of course, Biden gave similar assurances to the fawning media and the public that he wouldn’t use the office of the Vice Presidency for personal financial gain, and we saw how that all worked out. If you beliee him when he says it now, you’re even dumber than you looked when you voted for him.

From our Yeah, Sure, Right, Uh-huh, You Betcha file… – Fat, lazy, do-nothing Attorney General William Barr says his DOJ is on the job!

*sigh*

On the China Virus front, the news is not all bad and depressing. – After all, the Sheriff of Los Angeles County promised yesterday to defy Governor Gavin Newsom’s latest draconian shutdown order. From a story at DailyWire:

On Thursday, Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva reportedly asserted that he won’t force his deputies to enforce a new statewide stay-at-home order against businesses issued by California Governor Gavin Newsom and state health officials.

Bill Melugin of KTTV tweeted that Sheriff Villanueva “tells me he found out about the new stay at home orders from Governor Newsom’s press conference, and there was no coordination with law enforcement beforehand, which he says is concerning when the Governor is expecting enforcement of his orders.”

Villanueva told KTTV, “I want to stay away from business[es] that are trying to comply, they bent over backwards to modify their operations to conform to these orders and then they have the rug yanked out from under them, that’s a disservice. I don’t want to make them more miserable.”

Melugin added, “Sheriff Villanueva says he believes the Lakers & Dodgers celebrations and Thanksgiving played a part in our recent surges, and that the civil unrest protests earlier in the year contributed to an earlier surge. Doesn’t believe restaurants, etc, are to blame.”

[End]

So, not all California public officials are despicable fascists. Good to know.

Yeah, they might all end up in prison. – Meanwhile, down in the Devil’s playpen that is Georgia, election officials are begging a judge to allow them to purge the general election data from their Dominion Systems voting machines, claiming that a failure to do so could result in “grave and serious consequences”:

Good lord. What a cesspool Fulton County has become.

That is all.

Saturday News Roundup: Why Christopher Wray Sat on Hunter Biden’s Laptop for 10 Months

Christopher Wray is not part of the solution for our country – he’s the problem. – 19 Republican members of the House of Representatives sent a letter to corrupt, worthless FBI Director Christopher Wray on Thursday, demanding he come clean on why his dumpster fire agency never revealed that it came into possession of the Hunter Biden laptop last December, while President Trump was being subjected to the Democrat Party’s impeachment hoax.

Here’s the letter:

Image

We speculated here throughout that impeachment hoax that the real reason it was being mounted was as a massive effort by the Democrats and their media toadies to try to inoculate Joe Biden for his years of corruption related to Ukraine by projecting his crimes onto President Trump. The contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop prove conclusively that that speculation was in fact true.

That Wray and his fellow bureaucrats at the Hoover Building chose to withhold all of this key information from the public during a national crisis that was completely faked up by the Democrats is the height of corruption in public office, and a very blatant case of obstruction of justice. It isn’t just a crime against President Trump; it’s a crime against everyone in this country, and it simply must be punished.

Unfortunately, it has become crystal clear that we can’t count on Attorney General William Barr to do anything about it, as he has consistently made it obvious he is a big fan of Wray. Wray is one of the DC Swamp’s protected class, after all, and members of that class never have to worry about being held accountable.

What we also see in these revelations about the Biden family’s influence selling game is the very reason why Joe Biden has mounted this run for the presidency at such an advanced age. Winning this election, after all, is the only way he can ensure that all of his crimes against this country, the Ukraine, China, Russia and no doubt many more end up being buried and lost forever.

Think about it: Could Biden trust any of the 25 or so other Democrats running in the primaries to execute a 100% coverup of all of this wrongdoing were they to win the presidency? Could he trust them to do so without first exacting some patronage of their own out of the Biden family’s accumulated fortune? Of course he couldn’t.

Add to that the fact that it is not just the Bidens who are in jeopardy here. Members of families with names like Kerry and Pelosi and Feinstein and Clinton and even Romney have also snuggled up to corrupt foreign companies like Burisma in recent years and held similar positions like those Hunter was entangled in. Those families and many others we don’t know about yet are desperate to prevent a second Trump term in office.

I’ve asked this question often and it is completely relevant to this situation: How do you think these congressmen and senators, who spend their entire adult lives in public office, never making more than $200,000 per year in official salary, become so fabulously wealthy? Do you think it’s just because they contribute their $24,000 per year to their government retirement funds and then invest it wisely?

Joe Biden – or “middle class Joe” as he likes to be called – owns several multi-million dollar homes. Here’s a photo of one of them:

Joe purchased this property after his wife Neilia passed

Here’s an aerial shot of another one:

Biden and Jill's mansion in the Wilmington suburb

Here’s his “beach house”:

The Biden's beach property in Delaware

That’s at least $15 to $20 million worth of real estate right there, folks, and those are just the Biden-owned homes we know about. Do you really think he was able to pay for all of this on his senator/vice president salary?

Now, realize that we could go through pretty much the same exercise with most other senators who have served more than 1 or 2 terms in office and risen to key committee positions and other positions of influence. If you’re looking for a Republican, do a little research on the McCain family and see the tens of millions of dollars worth of assets he managed to somehow accumulate over his 30+ years in the senate.

That’s what’s at stake here. It’s not just the millions of dollars – or probably billions of dollars all told – that’s at stake: It’s the personal reputations of all of these prominent members of the DC Swamp protected class that’s up for grabs in this election. It’s also the reputations of all of the corrupt media figures who have served as their willing co-conspirators for all of these decades, protecting them and their way of life every step of the way.

And then there are the K-Street lobbyists who wrote all the bills that made those senators famous. You think that class isn’t a part of the scam? Please.

Which is why you don’t see a single one of those people, Republican or Democrat, actively working for this President’s re-election.

Every bit of this, the reputations of  all of these powerful people who need protection, revolves around the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop. And now you know why Christopher Wray and his dumpster fire agency sat on that laptop for the last 10 months.

It’ really isn’t even complicated.

That is all.

Mitt Romney Wanted to Stand Out Among His Peers – Trump Accommodates Him

The Evening Campaign Update

As President Donald Trump rolls out his administration’s guidelines for Opening America Up Again, only one Republican U.S. senator will not be asked to provide input into the process.

Early Thursday afternoon, the President listed the names of Republican and Democrat members of congress who would be a part of his coronavirus congressional advisory group. That list includes over two dozen Senate and House Democrats, 21 House Republicans and 52 of the 53 Republican Senate members.

The only GOP senator left off the list? Mitt Romney, who not coincidentally was the only GOP senator who made the despicable decision to vote to convict President Trump on one of the two hoax articles of impeachment that the Democrats concocted last fall.

Cool.

Also conspicuously missing from the advisory group roster are the names of Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, the Democrat leaders in the House and Senate, respectively.

Here are some other notable names you will not find on this roster:

Adam Schiff

Gerrold Nadler

Stenny Hoyer

James Clyburn

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Ilhan Omar

Rashida Tlaib

Ayanna Presley

Indeed, not a single member of the Democrat Party’s house or senate leadership teams, or any of the four nitwits who make up the infamous radical leftist “squad” in the House appears on the roster of the advisory group.

Apparently, the President is more interested in getting things done than in dealing with hyper-partisan circus clowns.

Good choice.

Here is a full listing of the congressional advisory group:

House of Representatives
Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-CA
Representative Andy Biggs, R-AZ

The China Virus’s Side Effects: The 2020 Election

The China Virus’s Side Effects: The 2020 Election

Guest Contribution by Larry Schweikart, America’s History Teacher

In September 2019 I wrote that the suicide of the House was complete when it began pursuing a meaningless and infantile impeachment of President Donald Trump. This suicide was, I argued, largely due to the fact that throughout the Bush and Obama years, the House had yielded much of its constitutional authority over it’s greatest stipulated power: the budget. Once that was gone, its very purpose for existing was called into question. When Nancy Pelosi and her Democrat hatchet gang spent the entire first year in power in a game of “get Trump”—while Trump continued to issue executive order after executive order and/or make end runs through the court system he had largely packed by then, the House’s historic role was pretty much finished.

I argued that the wave of Republicans resigning or not running for reelection was a sign that even though they may have held out hopes of winning, it would be meaningless. The House could no longer really do much. It had become the American version of the House of Lords, while, inversely, the US Senate—with its confirmation powers—had become the true place where “it’s happening.”

Now we approach the 2020 elections in the midst of the Corona Virus, better known as the China Virus or Wuhan Flu. Even in the wake of the Democrat House meltdown, not a great deal has changed. Republicans can point to evening the generic ballot, and even leading in some surveys—which in normal times would mean a landslide House victory. And there have been solid candidates recruited for many of the races that flipped in 2018, including both TX seats, OK5, the NJ seats, and the NM seat. Collectively (by my math) these races with candidates who stand to win amount to at most 10 seats.

That would leave the Republicans about eight short of flipping. One piece of extremely encouraging news comes from the CA38 race, where a Republican will win and flip that California state house seat, thanks to that state’s “jungle primary” where the top two vote getters run off in the general. In this case, the Democrats bungled it and allowed the GOP to place 1-2. In November, up to five of the CA US House seats look flippable.

But there are broad headwinds against the GOP. The lesser of these, fundraising, is lagging because of two factors. First is the fact that in most races, candidates aren’t decided yet, and fundraising for a primary is usually harder than against a Democrat. But the second involves the China Virus.

By pushing back so many primaries—as occurred in Virginia this week—Republicans won’t get those candidates until still later in 2020. But the China Virus also slams fundraising. Who can give to House candidates if you are unemployed, concerned about the mortgage, etc.?

On a broader scale, however, the Republicans have a bigger problem. How do you campaign against a House that has done nothing? In “normal” times, that might be an easy task. But in impeachment/China Virus times? It becomes difficult for candidates to say what they would have done differently. Of course, not vote for impeachment. But what else? Since there have been no major issues on which to take a stand (as contrasted with 1994 when the House Bank, term limits, and bringing items to the floor for a vote were key voting issues), it becomes almost impossible to define a candidate differently than the incumbent. Will “I wouldn’t have voted to impeach President Trump” be enough? Probably not.

How do you campaign for a seat that has been rendered nearly meaningless by Pelosi? This is why dog-catcher races are won with totals in the hundreds—because the position is in the overall big picture so insignificant that only family and friends vote. Over a one and a half year period—again, working from a foundation already handed her by the Republicans in the Obama era—Pelosi has made voting for a House seat less meaningful than ever.

There is a little light at the end of the tunnel. Most Democrat incumbents in the “flipped” seats are underwater in their polling. In the Senate races, John James in Michigan is polling better than his opponent. But all incumbents will fare better in this shutdown as their opponents are pre-empted from campaigning at all. For Martha McSally and Cory Gardner, that is good news. The GOP should keep the Senate, and it is entirely possible now that the balance will not change even if both McSally and Gardner lose due to flips from Alabama and Michigan.

It is, ironically, also good news for President Trump. Joe Biden is in lockup—although it is unclear if he is hurt by being in front of people or not—and his approval ratings in handling the crisis are, so far, extremely good. Last week, he went up in every major poll ranging from a whopping 54% approval in the best to 46% in the worse, for an average of over 47%. (He was elected in 2016 with a 46% approval.) Campaigning against Trump’s handling of the China Virus policies is tricky, and Biden already has seen how difficult it is to claim Trump should be doing something different.

Which brings us to “a” likely scenario for 2020: Trump will win convincingly, if not with an outright landslide (probably in the neighborhood of 320-340 electoral votes, adding Minnesota and New Hampshire to his 2016 list). The Republicans will hold the Senate at close to the present margin. But it is entirely possible the Democrats will narrowly hang on to the House. If that happens, they will be incapable of restraining themselves from once again seeking to impeach President Trump on baseless charges. It’s all they know. And they cannot present any true legislation that would in any way advance the nation’s interests because that would rebound to Trump.

Look for two more years of stonewalling from a House seeing its influence and power eroding; more confirmations from the Senate for Trump judges (because, without the House, that’s all the Senate will have); and Trump continuing to work through executive orders and the judiciary with a split House/Senate incapable of stopping him. It is absolutely not what our Founders wanted. But when one branch of government completely abdicates its role, it’s what we get.

RINOs Rand Paul and Mike Lee are Part of the Problem in the DC Swamp

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Guest Contribution By Gregg Updike

If I remember correctly, several years ago Rand Paul was held up and harassed by the newly created TSA at an airport in either Nashville or Kentucky. He also had his ribs badly busted up at his home a few years back by some leftist radical wacko as a protest to something that got the left “OUTRAGED” over something Trump did to “OUTRAGE” them.

Same with Rep. Steve Scalise of Louisiana and a bunch or GOP congressmen getting ambushed at a softball field by a Bernie Sanders’ supporter. In the past three years, we have seen numerous elected Democrats arguing for and promoting outright violence against members of the Trump Administration, Justice Brett Kavanaugh, and other GOP/Trump supporters. Can you imagine the hue and cry and “OUTRAGE” that would happen if top Democrat bananas like a Rep. Steny Hoyer got shot or if a Sen. Corey Booker got assaulted by a right wing-nut?

I just don’t understand how any Republican – whether conservative or moderate – feels compelled to blast this president to the liberal MSM; they seem to relish the opportunity to channel their inner McCain and spew their guts, which displays their RINO tendencies. These supposedly smart and savvy politicians make these appearances on enemy-held TV and constantly get played – or maybe they want to be played – with the net effect of giving the Trump Administration a black eye, a PR hit to no positive purpose.

What did Lee or Paul gain by bitching on TV about yesterday’s intel briefing? When did Barack the Obama ever give you a brief, or listen to ANY GOP input?

Don’t these idiots realize that the MSM would do everything they could to outright defeat and destroy the Pauls and the Lees of the world if given the chance? The media’s goal is to totally destroy the Republican Party and the conservative movement. They promote the radical, violent ANTIFA and BLM groups, and denigrate and impugn the peaceful conservative TEA Party. Yet these idiots – Lee and Paul – keep lining up to give the MSM ammo to hurt Trump, and by extension, themselves; quit giving them fodder.

I don’t remember any Republican (if they ever did, it was always couched in the most tepid terms possible), and certainly no Democrat ever blasting Obama for his “War Criminal Acts” of droning actual American citizens without due process (Are there any Democrats who believe in the rule of law, or due process?), or any other liberal policy when he was president. Where was the pushback on Fast and Furious, the IRS abuse scandal, pallets of cash to Iran, Dreamer EOs etc.?

Why can’t these politicians just shut up and be thought fools rather than open their mouths and remove all doubts? Taking opportunities to gratuitously rip or denigrate Trump on TV does not serve them well especially when they represent Red States/Districts and serves no good purpose. Leave that to the Democrats, and quit giving Schumer, Pelosi, and the MSM metaphorical orgasms!.

Wise up, grow up, and support our pro-American president! Be part of the solution and quit giving aid and comfort to the DEM/MEDIA ENEMY! If you RINOS can’t see the writing on the wall, or reality, then retire and let someone with brains and guts take your place.

Better yet, the primaries will soon be upon us which signals the opening of RINO Season. To all Red States and reasonable Purple States, please primary these old war horse losers and get some conservative leaders to replace them.

That is all.

Why GOP Voters Should be Proud of Their House Members Today

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

During the lead-up to the 2016 elections, I repeatedly wrote that, as a class, Republicans in the House and Senate were the single most hated element of the DC Swamp. This was because of their repeated collective failures to live up to the promises they had made to voters in getting elected.

On the campaign trail, House and Senate Republicans sounded like Ronald Reagan, promising to go to Washington and beat up on those Democrats and President Obama, promising to get rid of the Obamacare atrocity, promising to rein in Obama’s regulatory reign of terror, promising to use the filibuster and the parliamentary process in the House to force Democrats to pass real budget bills instead of agreeing to just another continuing resolution, promising to rebuild the military and get our young men and women out of the myriad Middle East and African civil wars Presidents Bush and Obama had gotten them entangled in.

But once safely in office, all those promises and many, many more were quickly forgotten, as congressional Republicans immersed themselves in the corrupt ways of the Swamp and became utter cowards when it came to casting principled votes out of fear that they might get negative attention from the corrupt news media. But their disloyal, unprincipled and cowardly behavior brought them nothing but scorn and contempt from those they were trying to please: They became hated by the Democrats, hated by the corrupt news media, and yes, hated even by their own voters, voters who only continued voting for them because the alternative – voting for a Democrat – was too repugnant to contemplate. Better to vote for a coward than for a Marxist Alinskyite.

Ok, now that I’ve had the catharsis of getting all of that out my system, here’s why you Republican voters should be proud of your house members today: Because, to a man, and to a woman, they all did their damn jobs throughout throughout the Democrats’ Soviet-style impeachment clown show. Oh, Texas congressman Will Hurd had a shaky moment early on, but even he ended up coming around to realizing that Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi were abusing their power like no one in the nation’s capital had ever done before, and got with the program.

Hey, for once the Republicans actually had a program to get with. An aggressive, no-nonsense, call a clown a clown strategy for giving no ground to Schiff and his fraudulent, corrupt process. An aggressive, no-fear strategy of staying on-message with the corrupt Democrat media toadies and for pointedly calling them out when they lied in their reporting, which of course, happened constantly.

Devin Nunes and Doug Collins, as ranking GOP members on the House Intel and House Judiciary Committees, respectively, were stellar, scorching the earth and the hides of Schiff and Jabba the Nadler with every opening and closing statement. Both men managed their committee members and their questioning time perfectly throughout, and the results were spectacular.

Both Jim Jordan of Ohio and John Ratcliffe of Texas did double duty as members of both committees, and all conservatives should be incredibly grateful for those two men. Jordan was fantastic in capitalizing on the utter absurdities of the parade of hearsay gossips who showed up as “witnesses” before the committee, rendering them all human pin cushions by the time he was done with them. Ratcliffe, a former federal prosecutor himself, was more subdued but equally effective in consistently pinpointing the legal holes in the Democrats’ case and tying several of the witnesses up in knots of logic they could not untie.

Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz utterly and completely decimated the Democrats’ despicable Alinskyite Lawfare lawyer, Daniel Goldman, making him look like an 8 year-old being lectured in the Principal’s office for all to see on national television. It was a moment of TV beauty that deserves to be seen again here:

These guys were all members we expected to shine going in. But the hearings were filled with some new stars, too. Like Chris Stewart of Utah, one of the finest human beings serving in congress today, who time after time providing piercing and pointed questioning that brought Schiff’s array of haughty gossip witnesses crashing down to earth. Michael Turner of Ohio was another relatively unknown member who took apart several witnesses and battled fiercely with the imperious Schiff on several points of order. Louie Gohmert of Texas and Arizona’s Andy Biggs also had great moments in limited duty on the Judiciary Comittee.

And then there was Elise Stefanik, the 35 year-old who represents the 21st district of New York, who may have been the star of the show. Combative, pointed, smart, and fearless of the vicious attacks from the press that she surely knew would come, Stefanik emerged from this process as one of the true rising stars not just in the House, but in the Republican Party. Expect her to have a prominent speaking role at next year’s GOP National Convention.

Going into this impeachment farce, seasoned observers of House Republicans had every reason to be nervous, to expect them to be completely disorganized and ineffective. After all, under Boehner and Paul Ryan’s non-leadership, we had seen this story so many times before.

But they came in with a clear and highly-organized plan with two main objectives: 1) dismantle Schiff/Pelosi/Nadler’s fraudulent case, and 2) do so in a way that would hold the Trump support base together.

The fact that they were successful in achieving both objectives is a credit to the leadership of House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy. His leadership made success possible. Be thankful Paul Ryan is spending his time these days trying to screw up Fox News – had he still been Minority Leader there is no telling how badly this all would have gone.

So, I know it’s hard for many of us, but be happy, Republican voters. You finally have leadership in the House of Representatives you can be proud of. If things go half as well in the Senate, Election Day 2020 will be a great day for America indeed.

That is all.

The GOPe’s Next Act: Pretending To Want Tax Reform

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

  • Well, you know it’s a slow news day in Donald Trump’s America when the biggest story is the introduction by Republicans congress of their long-awaited tax reform bill.  The bill has been ready for at least six months, but true to their goal of not getting a damn thing done during this calendar year, the GOP congressional leadership waited until the end of September to introduce it.
  • This late introduction date – for which there really is no justification at all – naturally produced grumbling among some members of the conservative Freedom Caucus about the “aggressive time frame” left in the year to get such a massive reform of the IRS tax code done.  So, the stage is already set for the December press conference of Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell telling everyone that they just ran out of time this year, but don’t worry, they’ll promise to come back in 2018 and really, truly get the thing done.  Yeah, sure, just like Obamacare, right?
  • Through a contraction of the various tax rates and a doubling of the standard deduction, everyone gets a bit of a tax break in this plan, except for those making more than $400,000 per year, who get stuck with an actual tax surcharge.  Naturally, Democrats rushed to the microphones and Twitter and Facebook to squeal that the plan is…wait for it…wait for it…A TAX CUT FOR THE WEALTHY!  I swear I don’t make this stuff up.
  • Of course, in Democrat “logic”, such as it exists, this is true, since the Democrats consider anyone who makes more than about $100,000 per year to be “wealthy”.  Given that the goal of the plan is to get more money into the hands of those in the lower and middle class, people making between $100,000 and $400,00 do get a tax cut under the plan.  Thus, the whole “tax cut for the wealthy” rhetoric from the party of demagoguery.
  • The plan would also lower the tax rate for – gasp! – evil corporations in the hope of stimulating the economy.   Man, the Democrats haven’t even gotten started demonizing that aspect of the proposal.  Nevermind that the U.S. has by far the highest corporate tax rate of any developed country, costing our country millions of potential jobs that now simply go overseas, lowering tax rates for evil corporations presents Fauxcahontas and Chuck Schumer and Bernie Sanders with prime demagoguery opportunities, and that is not something they will meekly pass up.
  • So, it’s going to be a long fall and winter filled with hyper-partisan rancor.  There is nothing progressives hate more than a healthy, growing economy.  I’m not kidding.  If you think otherwise, you don’t understand progressives.
  • There can be no doubt the GOP proposal would indeed stimulate economic growth in a very big way.  The key stimulus-producing provision is one that would allow businesses of all kinds to deduct most capital costs during the tax year in which they are incurred.  Currently, such costs must be recovered by depreciating them over 5 to 30 years, depending on the asset that is being depreciated.
  • President Trump has often talked about wanting to pass his own economic stimulus package. Well, there is really no need for a separate stimulus bill if congress were to pass this one.  The ability to deduct capital costs would be a stimulus plan in and of itself, and unlike the Obama stimulus, which was basically wasted on expanding government employment and wasteful programs, it would stimulate real infrastructure expansion, and create millions of real, private sector jobs.
  • So of course the Democrats hate it.  They hate anything that would grow the private sector, especially at a time when the government sector is being systematically reduced by a Republican administration.
  • But the dirty little secret is that the establishment Republicans really don’t want to pass this bill, either, which is why they’ve waited so late to introduce it.  The positive side is that the President does want it, and he won’t be shy about publicly pounding on Democrats and Republicans who work to kill it.
  • Just as we have seen President Trump reveal the Democrats and their progressive voters to be perfectly fine with NFL players disrespecting the national anthem and American flag this week, in the coming weeks we will see him speak very frankly about the real reasons why the Democrats and recalcitrant Republican swamp creatures don’t want to pass a meaningful tax bill.
  • It will be a target-rich environment for verbal kill shots, and we all know how the President loves that.

Just another day in Donald Trump’s America.

That is all.
