Friday News Roundup: When did Soros Buy Fox News?, and a Mixed Bag at the PA Supreme Court

A classic Clintonian non-apology apology. – In case you missed it – it was easy to do since so few people actually watch her show – Fox News’s CNN host-in-training Harris Faulkner offered a half-hearted non-apology for shutting Newt Gingrich down on her Wednesday show when he told the truth about George Soros’ funding of radical, anti-American district attorneys all over the country:

No word on when the “cherished” Mr. Gingrich will be invited back onto her unwatchable show, but don’t count on it being anytime soon. Fox is obviously compromised at this point. It is the Lindsey Graham and John Roberts of cable news.

Believe the media lies that Soros is just this nice old philanthropist living a quiet life in New York City? – If so, give me a call, I have some property you need to buy for a premium price.

If you’re low on funds, though, just read this expose’ at Brietbart. Here’s an excerpt:

Under the guise of seeking to “prevent a constitutional crisis,” a massive network of well funded left-wing activists and progressive groups are training, organizing, and planning to mobilize millions of Americans should President Trump “contest the election results,” refuse to concede, or claim an early victory.

More than 80 advocacy groups and grassroots organizations have joined in a broad coalition calling itself “Protect the Results” and proclaiming that “we cannot ignore the threat that Trump poses to our democracy and a peaceful transition of power.”

Both founding groups of the coalition (Indivisible and Stand up America) are part of the Soros-funded Democracy Alliance (DA), the largest network of donors dedicated to building the progressive movement in the U.S.

DA’s large body of donors aggregates resources for “focused investment,” marshalling as much as $80 million per year.

In 2017, DA developed a “resistance map” — a mix of anti-Trump groups it recommends its members donate to, many of which are now part of Protect the Results.

Other Soros-funded coalition groups include MoveOn, Women’s March, the Working Families Party and the Center for Popular Democracy, a network with over 50 local partners in 32 states, among many others.

[End]

Soros’s tentacles are everywhere, and he has made no secret of his life’s ambition to destroy the American Republic. Sadly, about 95% of our news media – including Fox News – appears dedicated to helping him achieve that goal.

For those who obsess over polls, this happened on Thursday:

The interesting thing about his poll is that it even over-sampled Democrats when arriving at these findings. The party ID breakdown in this poll is:

45% D

40% R

14% I

A more valid sample reflective of the actual turnout in 2016 would look like this:

35% D

33% R

32% I

As we have seen in this and other polls, the independent vote is breaking hard in favor of President Trump.

The reality is that if President Trump is within 1.2% of Biden in a poll that would likely mean he is really 5-7 points ahead when you factor in his advantage in voter enthusiasm and the ongoing lockdowns in most blue states and university campuses that are going to depress the Democrat vote this year. If this poll shows he’s up 7 points in the swing states, that would mean he is in reality running away and hiding in those states.

Again, it is just one poll, but it’s another – like Rasmussen, Trafalgar and Zogby – that is not affiliated with any media outlet or university, and thus far less likely to be influenced by Democrat corruption.

It’s an interesting data point.

A mixed bag at the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. – Only one decision issued by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court got any real media attention Thursday. That decision was the one that changes existing PA law by judicial fiat to allow the counting of mail-in ballots that arrive up to 3 days after Election Day, November 3. The actual longstanding statute requires the ballots to arrive no later than Election Day.

So, just another example of Democrat judges corrupting the system at their party’s whims. To make this absurdity even more of a judicial travesty, the judges arrived at the 3 day time frame apparently by playing eeny-meeny-miney-mo, given that the depraved state Democrat Party had in fact asked for 7 days. They of course wanted the extra time to engage in “ballot harvesting,” which is an illegal practice under PA law, although it’s obvious that PA law has no real meaning anymore in the eyes of this repugnant activist court.

But the second decision didn’t get nearly as much attention since the court ruled against the Democrats: In that decision, the Court denied the corrupt, depraved Democrats the ability to have ballots delivered by third parties – i.e., Democrat activists – rather than the U.S. Postal Service. This was another effort by Democrats to facilitate ballot harvesting, or, as they call it in PA to try to get around the law, “community collection.”

Dear Anderson Cooper: Have you no self-respect at all? – When even the leftist activists at Politico are admitting you assisted the halting, elderly, declining Joe Biden through a “kid gloves townhall,” you know you’ve truly fallen into pure hack territory as a “journalist.”

That’s the campaign contribution in-kind Anderson Cooper and CNN provided to the Biden/Harris Harris/Biden ticket as Cooper might as well have been feeding Biden Gerber’s baby food with a spoon.

Truly pathetic stuff. No one should expect Chris Wallace to do anything different when he “moderates” the first presidential debate, given that Fox now appears to be a wholly-owned subsidiary of Soros, Inc.

P.S.: Here is one of the “undecided voters” Cooper and CNN planted to ask Biden his obviously scripted, pre-planned questions:

Oh.

Let’s close with some comic relief from one of Twitter’s funniest accounts, @Catturd:

Catturd turns 56 today. Go wish him/her/it a happy birthday.

That is all.

Are Barr and Durham About to Finally Drop a Hammer?

Next Monday is the last day of summer, Mr. Barr. – I note that this morning because back in August, Attorney General William Barr famously stated that John Durham’s investigation would bear some fruit before summer was over. Barr repeated that prediction in more than one interview, in fact.

Well, we’re pushing it right up to the deadline, and Durham has produced diddly squat, to use a common flyover country colloquialism. No indictments, no arrests, no midnight raids of elderly people’s homes of the sort made popular when Robert Mueller and his gang of thugs effectively ran the DOJ from May 2017 through March 2019. Not even a “Durham Report” which at this point would have value only in the sense that it would serve to inform the curious among us, which of course would exclude the entire national news media establishment.

Barr made a somewhat whiny speech at an event sponsored by Hillsdale College on Wednesday. In that speech he complained about career DOJ line prosecutors – the lowest level of prosecutor at DOJ – of often being out of control “headhunters” who go after individuals for mainly political reasons. You don’t say, Mr. AG? What tipped you off on that one?

Mr. Barr did not, however, go onto explain why, in his 20 months as AG, he has done nothing to resolve that problem. You know, like maybe fire some of those problem employees. Most likely, the answer is that he has not done that because doing it would be politically difficult. The entire corrupt media establishment would go after him with its collective hair on fire, just as these Democrat toadies will go after him and Durham should Durham ever actually do something real. Like, you know, prosecute the treasonous traitors who spent three solid years trying to execute a coup d’etat on U.S. soil.

The Democrat/Media Axis of Propaganda already has its narrative in place: Any move by Barr/Durham at this point to actually attempt to exact a little real justice will be portrayed as “election interference” by the same media establishment that studiously ignored the Obama Administration’s spying on the Trump campaign and attempts to fix the election for Hillary Clinton in 2016. Those efforts went right up to Election Day that year, and once the election had come and gone, were immediately turned into an outright coup attempt.

That’s all clear on the public record now, and millions of Americans are fully aware of it. As is pretty much always the case in America today, the truth is exactly the opposite of what our Nazi-style media says: By doing nothing, Barr and Durham are in fact influencing the election in favor of the Democrats who are guilty, including Quid Pro Joe Biden himself.

Even with all of his do-nothingness thus far on Obamagate and Spygate, Barr does continue to show flashes of wanting to do the right thing. In that same speech, for example, Barr referred to the China Virus lockdowns and mask order as being “the greatest intrusion on civil liberties in American history” outside of slavery. Truer words were never spoken. But again, what is DOJ doing to push back on the despot governors, mayors and county judges invoking those patently unconstitutional order?

During an interview with Martha MacAllum on Fox News this week, Barr confirmed what I and others have been writing about for years now, that George Soros is subverting the American justice system by funding corrupt district attorneys who simply refuse to enforce the law. Interestingly, when Newt Gingrich made the same exact point on Fox’s “Outnumbered” show yesterday, he was silenced by the CNN-ish host and other panelists:

The New York Times has a breathless piece this morning bashing Barr for advising prosecutors to consider pursuing sedition charges against rioters and those who organized the riots during a meeting last week. In the same meeting, the Times alleges that Barr also “asked prosecutors in the Justice Department’s civil rights division to explore whether they could bring criminal charges against Mayor Jenny Durkan of Seattle for allowing some residents to establish a police-free protest zone near the city’s downtown for weeks this summer…”.

Good for him, if true. Of course, the Times story is based purely on anonymous “sources” who may or may not exist, so there is no way to know whether the news-faking paper of record just made the whole thing up.

But if it is true, it shows that Barr retains the right instincts, though he still has a problem taking action on them.

Interestingly, pretty much every other major media outlet has its own Barr-bashing report out this morning. A Google search reveals pieces including original reporting from CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal, all going after the Attorney General for some instance or another of straying from the Democrat/Media preferred narrative. These are not just pieces echoing the New York Times – they all include their own themes and perceived Barr missteps.

What this looks like is a classic effort by the Nazi-style propaganda outlets to set a narrative in advance. That indicates to me that all of these corrupt media outlets believe that Barr and Durham are indeed about to drop a hammer or two soon. Maybe even on or before Barr’s self-imposed deadline of next Monday.

That would be nice.

That is all.

Change Election, or Status Quo? 2020 is Both.

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

2020 is shaping up to be the most unique election cycle of modern times. – Regular readers will know of my contention that the quadrennial presidential election cycles always end up following one of two patterns, based on the overall dynamics at play within the national electorate.

If the general attitude among the population is one of satisfaction and complacency, then we end up having a status quo election, one that preserves the general balance of power in Washington, DC. If the general attitude among voters is one of dissatisfaction and unrest, we end up with a change election, one that shifts the balance of power from one party to the other.

By mid-2015, it had become obvious that the overriding attitude afoot across the nation was running in favor of a change election. By October of that year, it was obvious that Donald Trump would be the GOP nominee and that the DNC was going to fix its nominating process for the Pantsuit Princess. Given that the Coughing Crook was proudly running on the promise that her first term would basically be Barack Obama’s third term, it was obvious to me that Trump, the only candidate in the race promising significant change, would end up winning the general election.

2012 was a classic status quo election: Despite growing unrest with the radical leftist nature of the Obama regulatory regime, more Americans than not were in a mood to give him a shot at a second term, a reality bolstered by the fact that the Democrats were able to increase their Senate majority and cut into the GOP’s majority in the House that year. Mitt Romney’s ineptitude as a candidate certainly played a role, but the truth is that he never really had much chance of overcoming the overall voter inertia at play that year.

In large part due to the withering, unrelenting assault on President Trump by the Democrats and their corrupt toadies in the national news media, and due to Trump’s own unorthodox approach to his job, this year has become more difficult to read than it otherwise would be. Were traditional journalistic norms still in place in the media, an election featuring a president who has had so much success and who has kept pretty much every promise he made in his first election campaign would without any question at all end up as a status quo election, with his party having a strong shot at regaining the majority in the House.

But the undeniable success that the media has had in brainwashing a large segment of the public, along with the upheaval taking place within the Democrat Party and its nominating process, has created at least the perception of a potential change election coming.

So, which is it going to be? I think it’s going to be both: A change election within the confines of the Democrat Party and its nominating process, but a status quo election come November.

The most interesting aspect to watch over the next 8 months will be to see if the radical change happening within the Democrat Party will frighten the public to the extent that it decides to flip the House and return control of all levers of national power back to the GOP.

Newt Gingrich got it exactly right on Fox News last night when he said that Bernie Sanders is “the true Democratic Party.” Sanders winning in Iowa and New Hampshire and today in Nevada is not, contrary to what the leaders of the Party want us to believe, some fluke. Sanders keeps winning because the Democrat Party is now a majority socialist/Marxist party. Sanders is now the clear front-runner for the nomination because he is where the energy in the Democrat voter base happens to be.

He wasn’t quite there in 2016, but the tide of sentiment among Democrat voters has now reached the critical mass of endorsing outright socialism. Thus, the Party’s so-called “moderate” faction, who prefer socialist solutions dressed up in pretty costumes and gobs of lipstick, will be faced this July with the choice of either jumping on board the Commie train or finding another home. 2020 is the year that the Democrat Party’s inevitable inflection point arrives.

Feel the Bern. Feel the change.

Just as was the case with the Party’s takeover by George McGovern radicals in 1972, though, the radicals in the Democrat Party today are out of step with the vast majority of the electorate, and a Bernie Sanders candidacy will go down in flames not seen since Ronald Reagan’s destruction of Walter Mondale in 1984. A public that Gallup says is more satisfied with the status quo than it has been in decades is not going to put an outright communist into the White House.

So, come November, the status quo will pretty much inevitably prevail despite the change election taking place within the Democrat Party’s nominating process. Some will try to equate this to 2016, when Trump forced a similar shaking out to take place within the GOP, but that’s not correct. Remember, the change Trump represented was in step with the overall public desire for change that year. That election was change all the way, and the results proved it.

So, get ready for that rarest of rarities: A presidential election year in which a change election within the process of one party works to ensure a status quo general election outcome in favor of the other party.

Only in America.

That is all.
