Monday News Roundup: Clyburn Signals Impeachment Polling Badly; More Senate RINOs Pile On

This whole impeachment thing is obviously not polling well for them. – As is always the case, Democrats make every decision based on polls and focus groups. This is nothing new, it’s how they have functioned as a party since the advent of the Clinton national plague in 1992.

So, why would anyone think this latest nonsense about impeaching a President who has 9 days remaining in office would be any different? Since last Thursday, all the Democrat chatter has been about kicking the process in the House off when the members convene today. That still would not allow enough time for a Senate trial and conviction prior to January 20 – which, by the way, is not going to happen in any event – but it would be plenty of time for the Adam Schiffs and Gerrold Nadlers and James Clyburns of the world to demagogue the matter for the TV cameras and then get the articles of impeachment over to the Senate before inauguration day.

But a funny thing happened Sunday afternoon. Clyburn, the third-ranking member of San Fran Nans leadership junta in the House, floated the idea during an appearance on Fake Jake Tapper’s CNN show of holding up sending over whatever articles of impeachment he and his band of thugs come up with until after China Joe Potato Head Biden’s 100th day in office. That of course is assuming China Joe remains in office for 100 days, which is not cinch if you know what I mean.

From a story at The Hill:

“We will take the vote that we should take in the House. And [Pelosi] will make the determination as to when is the best time to get that vote and get the managers appointed and move that legislation over to the Senate,” Clyburn added.

“Let’s give President-elect Biden the 100 days he needs to get his agenda off and running,” Clyburn added. “And maybe we will send the articles some time after that.”

Clyburn went on to say he expected the House to have its final articles of impeachment sometime Monday and take floor action on them by Tuesday or Wednesday. While Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-Md.) has written a single article for incitement to insurrection in relation to last week’s deadly Capitol riots, Clyburn said House leaders are also exploring articles related to the president pressuring Georgia officials to change election results.

[End]

“…maybe we will send the articles some time after that.” And if the polling still isn’t going well for them, they’ll never send the articles over to the House. Because that’s how the Democrats operate.

Brain Dead Op/Ed of the Week, by Juan Williams:

Again, last Wednesday was a riot, not a “coup attempt.” If it had been a coup attempt, all those National Guard troops who the President called in would have been charged with arresting members of congress, not with dispersing the rioters and securing the scene.

This is not hard, yet most Americans will sadly fall for the Big Lie.

Nothing to see here, move along… – Meanwhile, as Juan and the rest of the corrupt news media were pushing the Big Lie about last Wednesday, here is a sample of what was happening around the rest of the country.

New York City:

San Diego:

Portland:

“Mostly peaceful.” *sigh*

Friendly Recent History Reminder of the Day. – Just a reminder that, during last Summer’s BLM/Antifa protests in Washington, DC, there was a definite air of insurrection in the air. A national landmark Church was burned. Stores were torched and looted. More than 100 Secret Service, National Guard and police officers were injured. The President was moved by the Secret Service to a bunker in the basement of the White House in order to keep him safe.

On that same night, Kamala Harris and other Democrat members of congress came out to join the BLM/Antifa riot. Joe Biden and the media mocked the President for moving into the bunker. The next day, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser dedicated a park to the rioters and had the BLM motto painted on 17th street. There were few arrests, and no one in the media or in congress talked about having Harris or any other member of congress who supported the rioters removed from office for their obvious insurrection against the federal government.

This concludes your Friendly Recent History Reminder of the Day.

And for those of you still filling my in-box with claims that last Wednesday wasn’t a riot at all… – Well, ‘splain this one to me:

If that doesn’t look like a riot to you, then go somewhere else. Thanks.

Useless Parliamentary Suggestion of the Week comes from Ohio’s Rob Portman:

Dear Sen. Portman: Any “blue ribbon panel” involving Democrats will simply work to lie about all the massive fraud that took place in November’s election and make the fraud processes permanent going forward. But then, you already knew that, didn’t you?

Utterly spineless.

Finally, over in the Senate, the RINOs are forming a stampede. – Since Alaska RINO Lisa Murkowski kicked off the “Trump should resign” mantra late last week, her fellow Trump haters in the Senate have begun to form up their own pro-impeachment/25th amendment/forced resignation caucus. It hasn’t yet reached the critical mass that would be needed to get to a 2/3rds vote in the senate for conviction and removal, but that won’t keep them from trying.

From a story at The Hill:

GOP lawmakers are wrestling with whether to stick with President Trump between now and Jan. 20 as members of his Cabinet consider resigning or invoking the 25th Amendment to remove him from office.

Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska became the first Republican senator to call on Trump to resign, declaring on Friday afternoon that “he has caused enough damage.”

“I want him to resign. I want him out,” she told the Anchorage Daily News.

A day later, Sen. Pat Toomey (R-Pa.), who is retiring at the end of 2022, said Trump’s actions rise to the level of impeachment.

“I do think the president committed impeachable offenses,” Toomey told Fox News during an interview.

Murkowski and Toomey’s comments put pressure on Republican centrists, such as Sens. Mitt Romney (Utah) and Susan Collins (Maine), who as of Saturday night had not addressed whether Trump should step down or be removed from office.

Romney, the only Republican senator to vote to convict Trump on an article of impeachment in February, accused Trump of inciting a mob of supporters to storm the Capitol while Congress was counting the vote of the Electoral College on Wednesday.

Rep. Garrett Graves (R-La.) on Friday called for Trump to step back from the duties of his office, though he said he did not support impeaching the president or invoking the 25th Amendment.

“He effectively needs to resign. And what I mean by that is, effectively, he will not be out there talking, speaking, wielding the full authority and power of the White House, maybe even technically finding a way to hand over the keys to [Vice President] Pence,” he said.

Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.), a prominent conservative and potential presidential candidate in 2024, said Thursday he would consider voting to convict Trump on an article of impeachment — something he voted against less than a year ago when House Democrats impeached Trump, charging him with abuse of power and obstructing justice.

“If they come together and have a process, I will definitely consider whatever articles they might move, because as I told you I believe the president has disregarded his oath of office,” Sasse said in an interview on “CBS This Morning.”

[End]

Murkowski. Romney. Collins. Sasse. Graves. Toomey. Keep a list of these people, folks. Never forget their actions this week. They detest you every bit as much as any Democrat does.

That is all.

Donald Trump Holds The Future of the Republican Party in his Hands

With the Trump presidency now in its final days and the Democan/Republicrat UniParty back in control of congress, talk will now inevitably turn to whether the Trump Army of 75 million voters will move to create a third party, effectively destroying the Republican Party in the process. Of course, we get this same sort of discussion anytime either party suffers a major defeat, and such efforts in the past have always failed.

But this time, things could be different for one simple fact that Tucker Carlson pointed to during his monologue on Thursday night’s show: The current leaders of the Republican Party just don’t like the vast majority of the party’s voter base, and Donald Trump does.

Here’s an excerpt from a story at The Daily Caller:

Fox News host Tucker Carlson said Thursday that the Republican Party leadership doesn’t “like their own voters.”

“And they especially don’t want the voters that Trump brought,” Carlson continued. “Trump brought the party’s ranks noticeably downscale, ‘from the country club to the trailer park,’ as they often sneer. And this horrifies them. Many Republicans in Washington now despise the people they’re supposed to represent and protect.”

Carlson claimed that “socially anxious white professionals” feel contempt for “working-class people who look like them.”

“So if you want to understand the hatred, the real hatred, not just disagreement but gut level loathing and fear of Trump — in say New York or Washington or L.A. — you’ve got to understand that first. It’s not really Trump; it’s his voters. The new money class despises them,” Carlson said.

[End]

I disagree somewhat with Carlson’s last statement there: The visceral hatred of the Trump movement in the major media centers of the country are about both Trump and his voters. The hatred and fear of that movement is only amplified by the reality that it’s really more than 75 million, given that it’s been pretty unarguably demonstrated that the true Trump vote was artificially depressed in every state where Dominion Systems technology is in use.

And let’s be honest, the hatred between the establishment Republicans and the vast majority of the GOP voter base is entirely mutual. Here is what happened at Reagan National Airport on Friday when Sen. Lindsey Graham, who used his chairmanship of the Senate Judiciary Committee to avoid any real investigations into Obamagate and Spygate for the past two years, ran into a group of Trump supporters on Friday afternoon:

That’s an ugly scene, for sure. And remember, it’s a scene involving a politician whose Party’s ability to remain a national force depends on retaining the loyalty of those voters.

Seems like a pretty big lift, doesn’t it?

Meanwhile, the Republican National Committee re-elected Ronna Romney McDaniel, the niece of the head RINO himself, Mitt Romney, to be its leader for the coming four years:

To her credit, Ms. McDaniel worked hard to help President Trump achieve his re-election, often finding herself at odds with her Uncle Mitt in the process. At the same time, though, she has been the public face of a Party that has too often operated at odds with its own voter base.

Witness yesterday’s massive putsch against conservative users coordinated by leftist Big Tech monopolies like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google and Apple: The GOP had four years with a Republican president do to something, anything to exact some control over these corporate oligarchies, and did exactly nothing. As the purge was taking place Friday evening, not a single leader in the Republican Party had anything of any real note to say in opposition to it.

Now, after the predictably inept effort and bad outcome in the Georgia Senate runoff elections, the GOP has failed itself right back into the position it held in January of 2019: Not in control of a single lever of power in Washington, DC. As was clearly demonstrated over the past two months, that lack of control includes the U.S. Supreme Court despite Trump’s three appointments to that body.

I have never been in favor of blowing the whole thing up and starting over where the Republican Party is concerned. At similar junctures in the past, such as January 2009, it has always seemed to be that it would be more productive to work to reform the GOP from within. Given this current situation, and the near-universal disaffection of Trump voters from the GOP representatives they have sadly helped to elect, it is difficult to maintain that outlook any longer.

At best, the Republican Party has proven itself to be largely corrupt and hopelessly inept over the past four years. At worst, its elected representatives have demonstrated that, by and large, they have nothing but contempt for the people who elected them, as most recently demonstrated by their refusal to do anything to rein in the abuses of the Big Tech monopolies.

Donald Trump had 88 million followers to his now-banned Twitter account. Should he choose to do so, he has the ability to now lead much of this loyal base of support completely away from the Republican Party and establish a political party of his own. Given that Trump has no more use for the GOP’s elected officials than his supporters do, it seems unarguably true that the Republican Party’s continued existence as a national force in American politics stands on thinner ice than it ever has in the past.

It couldn’t happen to a more deserving bunch of people.

That is all.

Wednesday News Roundup: Trump Puts Pence on the Hot Seat as the Dems Win the Senate

Oh, noes! Not Kim and Kanye! – In the major breaking news of Tuesday, Kim Kardashian is filing for a divorce from Kanye West:

Oh, darn. They were such a perfect couple. *sigh*

Here, Glenn Greenwald sums up my feelings about Kelly Loeffler’s career in 280 characters:

None of what took place in Georgia yesterday would have happened had corrupt Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp done the right thing and appointed then-Congressman Doug Collins to the vacant Georgia Senate seat in 2019. Instead, he picked the moneyed Kelly Loeffler because, well, she’s married to a billionaire and Kemp no doubt profited handsomely from his appointment of said billionaire’s wife.

In stark contrast to Collins, a preacher who is not a moneyed individual, Loeffler is your standard-issue country club Republican who has all the political appeal to the Trump support base of an over-ripe turnip. She and David Perdue, another standard-issue country club Republican, both lost on Tuesday because GOP voter turnout was highly depressed across the state.

Gee, wonder why it would be depressed? Oh, we can try to blame it all on Mitch McConnell for his refusal to allow the Senate to vote on a clean $2,000 COVID relief payment. After all, polls show that late-deciding voters who voted for the Democrats cited their desire for the money as their main reason for their irrational decision.

Or we can try to blame it all on President Trump for his fully justified bashing of Governor Kemp and Secretary Raffensperger. And really, this probably was a factor.

But the reality is that the Georgia runoffs presented conservatives with the same bad choice they faced in the 2008 and 2012 presidential elections: A choice between voting for a fake conservative or staying home. Now, we’re supposed to be surprised that thousands of those voters stayed home? Please.

Thus, as with everything else that has taken place in this travesty of an election season in Georgia, the preponderance of the blame for it all must be laid at the doorstep of the state’s travesty of a Governor, with a major supporting role going to the utterly corrupt Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger. Georgia Republicans now know who to blame, but the safe money says they will nominate these two grifter RINOs all over again when the run for re-election in 2022.

The crowd in DC today will be epic. – Here is what Freedom plaza looked like at about 3:00 on Tuesday:

The NFL didn’t attract that many fans combined to its game throughout the 2020 season. And that’s the day before the big event, with hundreds of thousands of freedom-loving Americans still en route to the nation’s capital.

The President himself will be speaking at the event at 11:00 Eastern time:

You can be sure that this speech will be epic. What happens after that is anyone’s guess.

He should’ve taken the train. – An entire plane-load of such Americans happened to be joined on their flight out of Salt Lake City by the king of all the RINOs, Mitt Romney. During the flight, they treated the despicable traitor to a very appropriate serenade:

Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.

While that was going on, CNN was treating its viewers to the single most intellectually-bankrupt panel discussion in world history:

Hard to imagine who even thinks of putting together such a panel of screeching dimwits. If these people did not already exist, you could never in a million years make them up.

It’s fine for me but not for thee. – While those and many other raging asshats on cable news channels declare Republicans who will challenge the official Electoral College results in today’s joint session of congress to be engaging in sedition and even treason, MRCTV put together this clip from the salad days in which Democrats challenging the official election results was, you know, cool and stuff or something:

Oh. Funny how that works.

Meanwhile, at the joint session of congress… – The pressure will be on Vice President Mike Pence to do what he has no apparent constitutional authority to do, and unilaterally reject the electoral slates from states who conducted clearly fraudulent elections on November 3, regardless of how congress actually votes today.

President Trump apparently believes Pence does somehow have this authority, though, and sent out this tweet last night making that belief crystal clear:

Hooboy. Not a great day to be the Veep, with your boss expecting you to perform a miracle, and a million ordinary Americans on the streets of DC backing him up.

To be clear: I really, really wish Vice President Pence did have the authority to take the action that the GOP controlled state legislatures of Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and Arizona have been too cowardly to take on their own authority – authority which is actually granted in the Constitution. But it’s pretty clear that Pence has no such authority, and he swore an oath to uphold the Constitution. Thus, it’s also pretty clear that President Trump and a million Americans on the streets of DC are going to go away late today very disappointed with the ultimate outcome from the day’s events.

The bottom line: What we Trump supporters want to happen today is just not how the system works. Our disappointment and ire should be focused on the state legislatures named above and on the federal courts that have also refused to properly weigh in on the massive fraud deployed by the Democrats to steal this election.

Because those are the people who truly failed to honor their oaths to uphold the constitution, not Vice President Pence.

That is all.

Thursday News Roundup: CNN Admits the New York Post’s Hunter Biden Reporting Was All True

So, CNN admits that the New York Post’s stories on Hunter Biden’s laptop were 100% accurate, then? – Sure seems like it, anyway. You all remember the New York Post’s original reporting on Hunter Biden’s laptop and the contents thereon, correct? Remember how the story was spiked by every major corrupt media outlet in the country? Remember how users at Twitter and all of the other big social media platforms were denied the ability to share it? Remember how the Post’s accounts on Twitter and Facebook were shut down for weeks to prevent the newspaper from sharing any other new reporting on that story?

Yeah, it was all so October, the month before the election, of course.

Anyway, the news-fakers at CNN ran a story of their own yesterday, after the Biden fake president-elect operation revealed that China Joe’s creepy ne’er-do-well son was being investigated by the Delaware U.S. Attorney’s office for tax issues. The funny thing is, that CNN story, which came 2 months after the New York Post’s story that was supposedly too toxic to report back in October, essentially confirms every aspect of the Post’s story. But of course, CNN does all of that well after the election has come and gone.

Funny how that works, huh?

I’m not going to excerpt from the CNN story, because to hell with CNN and their compatriots in the corrupt, fake news media. But know that the CNN story also informs us that the FBI and DOJ “paused” their supposed “investigation” of Hunter and his magic laptop throughout the weeks leading up to Election Day because they didn’t want to “influence” the presidential election. Many in the corrupt news media employed the same excuse.

The point here is this: The DOJ and media, by refusing to investigate or report on the laptop DID influence the election, and influenced it massively in Joe Potato Head Biden’s favor.

But that, of course, was the goal. Despicable people.

Speaking of ne’er-do-well Democrats… – It looks like farty Eric Swalwell is lying about his having broken off ties to the ChiCom honeypot with whom he was fooling around and paying back in 2015. From a story at RedState.com:

Swalwell’s defense, as he lays out during the luxurious tongue-bath CNN’s Jim Sciutto offered up, is that he’s had nothing to do with her since she fled back to China in 2015 and, being the patriotic, red-blooded American that he is, Swalwell claims that he has fully cooperated with the FBI and his cooperation was destroyed by the Trump administration who leaked the story of him banging a Chinese spy to the media out of revenge for his key roll in the impeachment fiasco. Or something like that. Swalwell isn’t really smart enough to sound coherent even under the best of circumstances.

That, however, may or may not be the truth.

Oh. Why would a member of congress continue to be friends with a ChiCom spy who got him into a full-blown FBI investigation, five full years after that supposed “investigation” took place? And, why wouldn’t the FBI, if its supposed “investigation” was really on the up and up, be investigating that clearly ongoing relationship between the congressman and the ChiCom spy?

The answers to those questions are a really very obvious, aren’t they? Occam’s Razor really does apply here. Think about it.

Turncoats. Turncoats Everwhere! – Ok, Mitt Romney has never been a real Republican, but President Trump’s ongong challenges  to the obviously-fraudulent election results in five states are really bringing the turncoats out of the weeds now.

Romney is the most prominent among them, because of course he is.:

Then there’s this from regular Fox News contributor Andy McCarthy, who is really getting on board with Paul Ryan’s new “turn hard left” program for the fading fake news channel:

Yes, that would be the “frivolous” Texas lawsuit filed by Texas AG Ken Paxton, the “frivolous” lawsuit that now has 17 other state AG’s signing Amicus briefs supporting it:

Hey, Andy, maybe you should think about standing down on this one.

Speaking of that Texas lawsuit, President Trump yesterday asked Ted Cruz to present the oral arguments related to it before the Supreme Court if the Court agrees to hear the case:

From the story at TheHill:

President Trump has asked Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R) to present a case from his state’s attorney general seeking to invalidate the election results of several key battleground states before the Supreme Court should it decide to hear the suit, The New York Times reported Wednesday.

The lawsuit from Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) seeks to void the vote certifications of Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Georgia and Michigan, arguing that the results are “tainted” by new election processes in those states.

The court has not yet agreed to hear the case on its merits and on Tuesday rejected efforts by pro-Trump attorneys to overturn the results in Pennsylvania in a separate case.

[End]

Texas AG Paxton would need to gain the votes of four of the nine USSC justices in order for the case to receive a full hearing by that body. Given that all of the states that are the subject of the lawsuit clearly violated the constitution by allowing changes to their voting procedures to be made by gubernatorial orders (many of which themselves likely also violate parts of the constitution) or by state courts absent consideration by their state legislatures, it seems likely that the suit will be heard.

If that comes about, Senator Cruz, while serving as Texas’s Deputy AG prior to running for the Senate, argued nine cases before the USSC and won most of them. It would be difficult to find a more effective and experienced advocate for the case, which President Trump also made clear yesterday that his lawyers will support via Amicus briefs.

Very interesting developments all around here.

The face of Mussolini in our time. – Bill de Blasio continued his fascist campaign of discrimination against his city’s Jewish community yesterday:

From a story at DailyWire:

Democratic New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio warned an ultra-Orthodox synagogue in Brooklyn on Tuesday that he will shut them down “once and for all” if they continue to flout his lockdown orders.

During a Tuesday press conference, de Blasio was asked about a large indoor funeral held Monday by Congregation Yetev Lev D’Satmar, a prominent synagogue in Williamsburg that was also recently fined $15,000 for secretly conducting a large indoor wedding in November.

“If we see another confirmed situation in which an inappropriate event is happening in that same building, then we’re going to have to move to shut down the building once and for all,” de Blasio said, according to Gothamist. “That would be the next step if we see non-compliance.”

“I do think there’s an ideological factor that’s making things a lot harder,” de Blasio also said, seeming to imply that the Hasidic community’s continued non-compliance with state and city lockdown orders stems from their widespread support for President Donald Trump.

[End]

Notice all the loaded language being used to refer to the Hasidic Jews: “ultra-orthodox,” “ideological,” “inappropriate,” etc. It’s the very same sort of language pushed by Hitler and Mussolini in the 1930s.

These are very, very frightening times.

Swamp Snake Mitt Romney Hisses His Disapproval of the Stone Commutation

RINOs gonna RINO. – It’s pretty much impossible to get Republicans-in-name-only Pat Toomey and Mitt Romney to get in front of a camera or a reporter to talk about any aspect of ObamaGate, the single most heinous scandal in American history in which the legal apparatus of an entire presidency was brought to bear to fix the 2016 elections and then to execute an attempted coup d’etat on American soil. About all of that, these two senators remain studiously mute, as useless in a fight as a couple of terracotta warriors.

But boy, let President Donald Trump do something they don’t like, and they’re the first to rush out and do everything they can to support the Democrat/media propaganda narrative. Yesterday, both senators decided to pan the President of their own political party, such as it is, for his completely justified and righteous pardon of a harmless old man who was clearly railroaded by Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his band of Clinton/Obama thugs, a clearly corrupt Obama judge, and a fixed jury.

Here’s what Romney had to say:

No concern about the Mueller Gestapo-like abuse of process; no concern about the judge, Amy Berman Jackson, who exercised a series of abuses to tilt the case in the prosecution’s favor; no concern about a jury that was packed with anti-Trump Obama loyalists; just condemnation of the President who chose to exercise an authority he has all-too-rarely chosen to use. This is the very essence of Mitt Romney.

For his part, Toomey chose to forego the simple Twitter route – good for him – and issue a formal statement in which he attempted – in typical DC Swamp fashion – to take all sides of the controversy:

“The president clearly has the legal and constitutional authority to grant clemency for federal crimes. However, this authority should be used judiciously and very rarely by any president. While I understand the frustration with the badly flawed Russia-collusion investigation, in my view, commuting Roger Stone’s sentence is a mistake.

“He was duly convicted of lying to Congress, witness tampering, and obstructing a congressional investigation conducted by a Republican-led committee. Earlier this week Attorney General Bill Barr stated he thought Mr. Stone’s prosecution was ‘righteous’ and ‘appropriate’ and the sentence he received was ‘fair.’ Any objections to Mr. Stone’s conviction and trial should be resolved through the appeals process.”

Meh. Folks, what this statement from Toomey really is is the work of the staff of a spineless politician who represents a 50/50 state and is too afraid to take a principled stand on the matter. Toomey’s statement almost makes you want to respect Romney just a little bit, but then you remember it’s Mitt Romney we’re talking about here and that fleeting feeling flies away with the wind.

Not at all surprisingly, the President of the United States of America had something to say to these useless senators in response to their attacks. It is typically glorious:

This is the truth, folks. I defy any of you to find any statements from Romney or Toomey condemning Obama or Biden for their active participation in the ObamaGate conspiracy, which we now know to be the case based on documents in the public record. Go find me one and prove me wrong.

One final piece of information for the record here: The chart below shows how often each of the four most recent POTUS’s used their power commutation:

So, Trump has used his power more often than Bush did, not as often as Clinton, and then there’s Obama: 1,715 commutations, mostly of drug users and dealers and violent offenders. Look it up, and while you’re at it, see if you can find any similar harsh condemnation of Obama’s use of this power by Romney, who, after all, opposed him in the 2012 elections as the contemptible GOP nominee.

Romney could have won that election had he chosen to run a competent and aggressive campaign. But he clearly had no stomach for the battle; either that, or he intentionally threw the election. The result was a second term for Obama in which he was freed from having to moderate himself knowing that he would never have to face the voters again.

And that, friends, was the four year period that created the political conditions that made it possible for Donald Trump to run for and win the office of the presidency, as the public recoiled from those long years of incremental socialism, open borders and a give-away-the-store foreign policy that included planes filled with cash destined for Tehran and U.S. interventions in 8 separate civil wars in the Middle East and Africa.

The irony of Mitt Romney is that, had he campaigned as aggressively against Obama as he has done against President Trump, he would have become the 45th president instead of his tormentor. If Romney is looking for someone to blame for Trump, all he has to do is look in the mirror.

That is all.

Thursday News Roundup: Antifa Takes Seattle and Portland, Biden Gets the Deal, Romney is Confused

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

So, that Seattle Autonomous Zone set up by Antifa is going so darn well! Check it out.:

Why are Governor Jay Inslee and his fellow radical Democrats who run the state tolerating this? After all, everything that is taking place here is a crime. For his part, Inslee is so dishonest that he even claimed to a press conference not to even know it is happening:

An obvious, blatant lie.

But think about why Inslee and his government is tolerating this, because the answer is obvious: They’re all Democrats. These were Democrat protests, Democrat riots, Democrat looting and burning of Democrat-controlled cities in Democrat-controlled states.

This is what the Democrat Party is at this point. As I told you back in 2018, the Democrat Party now views looting and rioting and burning vast swaths of major cities as just another political tool in their tool chest. They’ve gone all the way back to 1867, when they created the Ku Klux Klan to terrorize the South.

Here’s another example from yesterday.:

That’s right: An historic statue of Christopher Columbus on the Minnesota state capitol grounds was toppled, ISIS style, by Democrat Antifa clowns. They did this all while the Capitol Police stood around and watched with their thumbs up their a**es, obviously having been ordered to stand down by their Democrat superiors.

Why? Because they’re all Democrats. Seriously, think about how the Capitol Police would have been ordered to respond if a group of freedom protesters attempted to take down a statue of some liberal hero that stands on those same grounds. It would have been an all-out assault complete with riot gear and tear gas and military armored personnel carriers.

You know I’m right.

Democrats don’t just tolerate this stuff, they are actively lying about it even happening and celebrating those who are doing it.

Here’s what President Donald Trump tweeted about the situation in Seattle last night:

Well, Mr. President, the Antifa action in Seattle includes armed paramilitary personnel and participants posting instructions about how to put together and plant explosive devices on social media. This is, in fact, an armed insurrection in a major city of the United States of America. Maybe it’s time to quit tweeting about it at 1:00 in the morning and invoke the Insurrection Act whether your panty-waist Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff approves of it or not.

Just a thought.

Oh, hey, now we have Antifa nitwits trying to do the same thing in the People’s Republic of Portland Oregon:

The hilarious part of all of this is that the Antifa terrorists are too pea-brained to understand the fact that they have just built a high-fence prison for themselves. Sure, there’s no way in. But when the food runs out and they need to go pee, there’s no way out, either.

Well, of course he does. – Hey, y’all, even Joe Biden knows he won’t be president for long if he stumbles to an election victory on November 3. Yesterday, he told an interviewer that his choice of a running mate needs to be “…someone strong. I want someone strong, and someone who can — who is ready to be president on day one.”

Right. Because whomever he picks will most likely become president within a month of his inauguration day.

So, take a look at the various lists of potential Biden running mates, and think about which one you would have any confidence in at all should she become president:

– Kamala Harris

– Elizabeth Warren

– Amy Klobuchar

– Val Demings

– Frau Gretchen Whitmer

– Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms

– Susan Rice

– Tammy Baldwin

– Tammy Duckworth

– New Mexico Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham

It’s like a list of the lame, the halt and the blind. Outside of possibly Klobuchar and maybe Demings, each and every one of the rest of that list would be an unmitigated disaster in the office of the presidency. Given majorities in both houses of congress, they all would turn the U.S. into a socialist nation on the Venezuelan model, which is essentially what Antifa and BLM agitate for.

Hey Joe: If you really want to choose a running mate who would be ready on Day One, see if Condi Rice will agree to the role. Otherwise, you are SOL, buddy.

Speaking of the election… – Over the weekend, all the news was how Mitt Romney, George W. Bush and Colin Powell were all going to vote for Biden. Yesterday, Romney indicated that, despite his non-support for a President of his own political party, he still expects President Trump to be re-elected. No kidding:

“I’m confident that we will keep the majority in the Senate,” Romney told a group of reporters following a Senate GOP luncheon. “And I actually have long predicted the president will be reelected. I continue to think that’s the case.”

Oh. If you’re confused, think about what Romney’s state of mind must look like.

So does Bill Clinton. – Commie Bernie Sanders says he has a better relationship with Creepy Uncle Quid Pro Farty China Joe Biden than he did with Hillary Clinton.

He’s not alone.

That is all.

Tuesday News Roundup: Pelosi’s $10.99 Cultural Appropriation and Romney’s Bridge to Nowhere

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

So, what was this really all about?

Image

Do any of you think that every Democrat member of congress just keeps a Kente cloth garment lying around the office to pull out on special occasions? Or is it more likely that maybe last Wednesday, at a meeting during which they were planning how to milk maximum political leverage out of this carefully-choreographed George Floyd funeral tour, some enterprising staffer found this on Amazon:

Image

So, you order 50 of those, and presto! Even Gerrold Nadler can have his very own Kente cloth scarf, all for the cost of about $550.

Do you think there is a single person among that group of congressional Democrats who has the slightest understanding of the origins of the Kente cloth, or what its meaning is? Because, to very real human beings in Ghana, which served as one of the central staging points for the African slave trade centuries ago, those cloths and their patterns do have very special meaning.

They aren’t some costume for cynical politicians to wear to Halloween parties, not some modern-day version of the blackface get-up worn by the Ralph Northams and Justin Trudeaus in their younger days. Do you suppose that Nancy Pelosi or Gerrold Nadler or a single one of their Democrat colleagues gave any of that a moment of thought as they dressed up for their moment of disgraceful cultural appropriation? If you do, you’re a fool.

When asked at her press conference if she thought maybe she and her colleagues were using the garments to pander to Black voters, Pelosi just smiled and asked, “Well, is it working?” What else do you need to know?

Incidentially, Pelosi’s is a good question, one to which I really don’t think we know the answer yet. It’s a long time until November, folks.

Does he keep notebooks full of black people, too? – Then there’s pathetic RINO Mitt Romney, who spent about 30 seconds interfering in a Black Lives Matter march on Sunday to get his own photo op:

Tremendous Sincerity': Trump Mocks Mitt Romney for Joining Black ...

In a report at The Hill today, Romney, the most whitebread white guy in the entire U.S. Senate, says that he wants to be the catalyst who forces change in the GOP’s relationship with the Black community:

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) on Monday said his party has “an embarrassingly small share of African American votes” and would like to change that, one day after he marched in a protest in Washington.

Romney said he is working with several Republican colleagues on legislation to “make some changes to the way we do our policing” in an effort to crack down on aberrant officers who violate civil rights or use excessive force against people of certain races.

He noted that Democrats who unveiled a police reform bill earlier Monday did not reach out to any Republicans to discuss the legislation beforehand.

He said the lack of outreach indicates it “is designed to be a message piece.”

He said he hopes to put together what ultimately will be bipartisan legislation to reform policing that can pass the Senate.

He said any legislation “needs to have people on both sides of the aisle working together.”

[End]

Let’s just all ignore the fact that President Donald Trump has, at urging of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, already stolen much of the thunder from any congressional deal on this with his signing of prison reform legislation last year. That prison reform bill, by the way, repealed several of the provisions targeting young Black males contained in the 1994 crime bill signed by Bill Clinton – and co-sponsored by Creepy Uncle Quid Pro Farty China Joe Biden.

Yeah, let’s ignore all of that because Mitt freakin’ Romney thinks he’s going to be the guy who bridges the gap between the GOP and the African American community.

*sigh*

Dear Republicans: With a bridge like Mitt Romney, you might as well have a bridge to nowhere.

Democrats hate Jewish people, part 62,532. – New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and his NYPD have looked the other way as tens of thousands of protesters, rioters, looters and arsonists have turned much of New York City into Dresden circa 1945 for the past two weeks, never saying word one about social distancing or wearing masks.

But boy, let a group of maybe a dozen Hasidic Jewish kids who are at zero risk of getting or spreading the Wuhan Virus congregate together in a local park, and this is what happens:

Disgusting hypocrisy and Antisemitism on display.

The first leak in the Minneapolis dam. – A manufacturing company that employed 50 Minnesotans says it will move elsewhere after city officials refused to do anything to prevent its facility from burning to the ground week before last. Kris Wyrobek, President and owner of 7-Sigma, Inc. told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that “we are sorting through the rubble, trying to figure out how to get this operational again. We are cautiously optimistic we can do that. But we are certainly not able to do that in Minneapolis.”

From the Tribune report:

“They don’t care about my business,” said Kris Wyrobek, president and owner of 7-Sigma Inc., which has operated since 1987 at 2843 26th Av. in south Minneapolis. “They didn’t protect our people. We were all on our own.”

Wyrobek said the plant, which usually operates until 11 p.m., shut down about four hours early on the first night of the riots because he wanted to keep his workers out of harm’s way. He said a production supervisor and a maintenance worker who live in the neighborhood became alarmed when fire broke out at the $30 million Midtown Corner affordable housing apartment complex that was under construction next door.

“The fire engine was just sitting there,” Wyrobek said, “but they wouldn’t do anything.”

[End]

Wyrobek said the decision to relocate from the radical leftist Democrat-run city has already been made and that there is nothing feckless Mayor Jacob Frey could say that would change his mind. Expect hundreds of other Minneapolis business owners to turn this first leak in the dam into a raging flood in the days and weeks to come.

That is all.

Monday News Roundup: Hollywood Tough Guy Mob, RINO Stampede and a Municipal Suicide in Minn.

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

“This the workplace, not a social justice seminar on campus.” – That’s what Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton said to Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures yesterday. He was telling her what he would say to the pathetic, childish, snowflake staff at the New York Times after they had staged a hissy-fit rebellion against the fake newspaper’s editorial page editor for publishing Cotton’s op/ed piece last Monday.

The problem with Sen. Cotton’s argument there is that today’s staff at the Times is in fact a social justice seminar. It’s just that the university campuses on which they all were brainwashed to become SJW’s have been transferred into the NYTimes Building in Manhattan. The same transition has taken place at newspapers and other media outlets all over the country, the natural progression of college learnings coming into the workplace. Why would Mr. Cotton or anyone else expect any other outcome?

The nation’s news media used to merely be biased, with its editors and reporters slanting their reporting to fit their own world view while giving a basic level of lip service to impartiality and balance. Today’s media outlets are different: They are not merely biased in what they do, they are rigidly intolerant of any viewpoint but their own.

And so it was that later in the day on Sunday, the Times announced that it had allowed editorial page editor James Bennet to “resign,” corporate speak for they fired his ass. They fired him for no valid reason and simply because their childish, brainwashed staff demanded it.

Today’s national news media is not merely biased and corrupt and 98% fake, it is actively fascist in it nature, led by the newspaper of record itself. If you trust a word they have to say without independent verification, you are part of the problem.

*sigh* Ok, so, we’re back to de-funding the police again? – We told you on Friday how the Democrats in Minneapolis – including pitiful Mayor Jacob Frey – had suddenly backed off the whole “de-fund the police” thing after Morning Consult released a poll showing just 16% support for that idiotic, society-destroying move.

But the radical leftist goons who populate the Minneapolis city council just will not be diverted from their desire to make their city ultimately look like Warsaw after Hitler’s invasion of Poland. They want the whole thing to just burn to the ground, and the first step to creating utter chaos in the streets is removing all notion of public safety.

Thus it was that yesterday afternoon, a “veto-proof majority” on the Minneapolis city council sent out this notice:

Image

If you are a law-abiding citizen in Minneapolis and you have the means to do so, you should be packing up your things and getting the hell out of there before it is too late. This is municipal suicide, plain and simple, all brought to you by your stupid, mindless votes for Democrats.

Here is the carnival freak show that is in the process of destroying a great American city:

Image

Remember their faces and names.

Run to the hills! Run to the woods! The Hollywood tough guy mob is coming for you! – I swear to you that I am not making this up. This is a real, actual tweet put up by drug-addled failed actor and even more failed comedian Tom Arnold on Sunday [Language warning]:

Yes, friends and neighbors and all you other Trump supporters out here in Flyover Country where Hollywood leftists fear to tread: Tom Arnold, a 61 year-old grown man, is gonna go borrow his daddy’s rifle and come after you. And even more fearful, he’s inviting 73 year-old Rob Reiner to go borrow a rifle from his 98 year-old daddy Carl Reiner so he can join in the assault on the nation’s heartland.

Seriously, how pathetic is it to a) be 61 years-old and publicly admit that, in order to arm yourself, you have to go borrow a gun from your nonagenarian daddy, and b) to be so pathetically lacking in self-awareness that you don’t realize how silly making that public admission makes you look to the rest of the world?

Will Ferrell Laughing GIF - Find & Share on GIPHY

You could never make these people up if they didn’t already exist. And if you still doubt me when I tell you that leftists hate you and want you dead, I really don’t know what else to tell you after this.

Speaking of ineffectual gangs, the RINOs are coming! The RINOs are coming! – The corrupt, fascist news media made a very big deal yesterday about the talk that Donald Trump will not be getting the votes in November of … wait for it … ex-President George W. Bush, Senator Mitt Romney and Colin Powell! Oh, noes! What will Trump do????

This non-story dominated the “news” all day long, despite the following facts:

  • None of these globalists supported Trump in 2016, either;
  • Romney voted to impeach the President, and we’re supposed to be surprised by this?; and
  • Colin Powell is a life-long Democrat who has never supported any Republican whose name was not Bush.

But here’s the thing: This is just the next step in the deep state propaganda campaign to throw everything against the wall at Trump and hope something sticks. This year alone, the impeachment failed to do the trick; the Wuhan Virus and its Democrat-driven shutdowns failed to do the trick; and this massive propaganda effort over the George Floyd murder is not doing the trick either.

So, yesterday’s obviously coordinated revelations among those three globalists was just the next page in the playbook. There will be something else today, and each and every day through November 3. And when Trump is re-elected, it will only become even more intense than it has been thus far.

This will never end as long as any non-deep state captive resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

And this is the Deep State’s goal:

They want you afraid. They want you unsettled. They want you to be constantly on edge. Because a fearful and cowed public is much easier to control and far more likely to be willing to surrender its rights and freedoms in exchange for a fool’s notion of “security.” The result of that poll is obviously due to all the rioting, and once the rioting goes away, the number will go away with it.

But be fully aware that these riots are not the end game for the Democrat/Deep State/Corrupt media Axis of Disinformation. Something else will be coming soon, and it will probably be even worse.

Protect yourself.

Protect your family.

Stay alert to your surroundings.

Because the next thing will inevitably come.

These people will never stop until they are stopped.

That is all.

Mitt Romney Wanted to Stand Out Among His Peers – Trump Accommodates Him

The Evening Campaign Update

As President Donald Trump rolls out his administration’s guidelines for Opening America Up Again, only one Republican U.S. senator will not be asked to provide input into the process.

Early Thursday afternoon, the President listed the names of Republican and Democrat members of congress who would be a part of his coronavirus congressional advisory group. That list includes over two dozen Senate and House Democrats, 21 House Republicans and 52 of the 53 Republican Senate members.

The only GOP senator left off the list? Mitt Romney, who not coincidentally was the only GOP senator who made the despicable decision to vote to convict President Trump on one of the two hoax articles of impeachment that the Democrats concocted last fall.

Cool.

Also conspicuously missing from the advisory group roster are the names of Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, the Democrat leaders in the House and Senate, respectively.

Here are some other notable names you will not find on this roster:

Adam Schiff

Gerrold Nadler

Stenny Hoyer

James Clyburn

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Ilhan Omar

Rashida Tlaib

Ayanna Presley

Indeed, not a single member of the Democrat Party’s house or senate leadership teams, or any of the four nitwits who make up the infamous radical leftist “squad” in the House appears on the roster of the advisory group.

Apparently, the President is more interested in getting things done than in dealing with hyper-partisan circus clowns.

The Romney/Bloomberg “Unity Ticket”: A Profoundly Stupid Idea

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

NeverTrumpers: the single dumbest special interest group on the planet. – In an election year characterized by mind-numbing stupidity, some people still manage to stand out. Some guy named Neal Simon, writing at the NeverTrumper website called “The Bulwark,” published a piece on Monday that will go down in infamy as the single most profoundly stupid opinion piece of the 2020 election season.

The headline of the piece is so desperately stupid that one doesn’t even really need to get into the guts of the thing. But here at the Campaign Update, we like to get into the guts of  all varieties of media stupidity and mendacity, even media from people who formerly pretended to be conservatives. So, let’s take a dive into this particular monstrosity.

First, the headline, which pretty much tells you all you need to know about this particular nitwit:

“Romney-Bloomberg: The Unity Ticket America Deserves”

Holy crap.  I swear I don’t make this stuff up.

The first and most obvious fallacy involved here is that a ticket made up of a turncoat Republican who already lost one run for the presidency and another turncoat Republican now pretending to be a Democrat who is in the process of alienating pretty much every minority and special interest group in the country would “unify” anyone outside of Bill Kristol’s living room, where Mr. Simon has apparently spent too many evenings sipping cheap brandy and smoking White Owls.

Think about it: In the past week alone, opposition researchers for the other Democrat presidential contenders have dug up past Bloomberg comments that have insulted, demeaned and alienated the following segments of American society:

  • African-Americans
  • Women
  • Latinos
  • Farmers
  • Teachers Unions
  • Civil Libertarians

True, he hasn’t gotten around to Muslims, Catholics, Jews and the LGBTQ+ community, but given Bloomberg’s real nature as a horrible human being, it seems like just a matter of time, doesn’t it?

But Simon thinks, hey, Bloomberg’s got billions of dollars, so he can single-handedly make a third party effort with a turncoat loser like Romney viable just by going around and paying everyone off:

Under the current system, presidential candidates in the general election need at least 15 percent support in select polls to make the debate stage. Since this arbitrary benchmark was enacted, no third party or independent candidate has been able to qualify. Much of this is due to a lack of access to capital. Estimates show that it would cost $266 million to achieve this benchmark in the general election phase of a presidential run—a feat only an independent candidate who is self-funded is likely to achieve.

So, what does Romney bring to the ticket? Why, his party affiliation, of course. No, really, I swear I did not make that up:

Another barrier to entry that independent candidates face is they do not have the name recognition that affiliating with a major party grants.

Mitt Romney would solve both of these problems.

Simon even goes on to talk about all the “credibility” Romney has with Republicans, especially the Republican “moderates.” He fails to consider that you could gather all of the Republicans with whom Romney still possesses even a modicum of “credibility” into Bill Kristol’s aforementioned living room, which really isn’t all that big a space. You wouldn’t even have to move the furniture around.

President Trump’s approval rating among Republicans has been at all-time highs for many months now, with 90% or more regularly approving of his conduct in office. Even highly-biased public opinion polls that still cling to their 2012 party affiliation models – which results in systematic over-sampling of Democrats – put Trump’s approval among GOPers no lower than the mid-80s.

Meanwhile, Mini-Mike has already spent more than $300 million to get himself just into the mid-teens in national polls in the Democrat nominating race. As I mentioned yesterday, he is currently not favored to win a single state on Super Tuesday according to the model used by 538.com. Romney himself is so utterly divisive that the Republicans in his home state of Utah are considering multiple resolutions demanding that he resign from office at their upcoming state convention.

But this, in Simon’s mind, is the “unity ticket” Americans are looking for?

Here is who Simon and the people at “The Bulwark” really are: Angry ex-Republicans who are desperate to convince Romney, Bloomberg or someone else who can get their hands on big money to run an insurgent campaign designed to siphon votes away from the President who exposed them for what they really are. These people are not looking for “unity” or anything remotely resembling that concept. These are people who have spent the last four years doing everything they can to attack the duly-elected President who marginalized them and divide the country against him.

If America really “deserves” a third-party ticket made up of a traitorous snake like Mitt Romney and a hubris-driven oligarch like Michael Bloomberg, then America is well and truly screwed.

Fortunately for America, though, the truth is that Mr. Simon and his friends at “The Bulwark” are just a bunch of irrelevant clowns, screaming from the rafters as the tide of history passes them by.

God Bless America.

That is all.

Mitt Romney, Looooooser Again

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this WINNING yet? – The S&P 500 closed at a new record high on Wednesday, as the Dow Jones Industrial average surged by 483 points, and the NASDAQ also recorded significant gains. The markets were buoyed by the acquittal of President Donald Trump by the Senate along with positive indications of progress in developing a vaccine for the Coronavirus. The WINNING is glorious.

In other news, Mitt Romney is still a LOOOOOOOOOOOSER. – The junior Senator from Utah finally managed to secure a place in history, albeit alongside fellow American loooooooosers like Benedict Arnold and Aaron Burr, becoming the only Senator in the long history of our nation to vote in favor of removing a president from his own political party.

After telling the execrable Chris Wallace in an interview – that Romney himself requested, think about that – that he would vote ‘yes’ on both articles of impeachment, Romney then went out and delivered a speech, complete with fake tears, on the Senate floor, blaming his idiotic decision on his religion. The gutless hypocrite then tried to have things both ways, actually splitting his vote, voting ‘yes’ on Article 1, but ‘no’ on Article 2.

What a buffoon. What a gutless, mendacious looooooooser this guy is.

Hilariously, within moments after the impeachment trial had finally, blessedly adjourned, the Trump campaign issued an ad that it had already created in anticipation of the Romney betrayal. Check this out:

The ad, of course, was met with much tsk-tsking and pearl clutching from the two dozen nitwits who remain in the #NeverTrump faction of the GOP, to whom Romney remains a looooooooser hero for his actively tanking the 2012 election against Barack Obama His Own Self. But nobody cared, least of all President Trump, who also sent the corrupt media mavens into howls of outrage by tweeting out this gem a little later:

If only he could live that long.

In the end, all the loooooooooser Romney could accomplish was to hand the Democrats and their corrupt media toadies a talking point that will last a day or two. The inept creep is so ineffective at influencing his colleagues that he wasn’t even able to bring fellow RINOs like Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski along with him into the annals of traitorous infamy.

Romney believes he is safe from the voters back home despite his mendacity, since he doesn’t have to face them again until 2024. But voters – especially those of the conservative stripe – tend to have long memories about the special kind of deceit Romney practiced in getting elected to his senate office in 2018. Remember, Romney ran as “an extreme conservative,” and promised voters he would strongly support the President’s goals. Remember, too, that Romney repeatedly sought a high position in the incoming Trump Administration, and made many public statements filled with glowing praise about the President at that time and during his campaign.

But hey, Romney’s probably going to be running for the presidency in 2024 – that’s what this vote was really all about. He’s just positioning himself as the titular leader for an anti-Trump rebellion within the GOP as the Trump second term winds down. That’s another looooooooser of a proposition, but Mitt loves loooooooosing.

Romney bragged to Wallace that he has “voted with the President 80% of the time.” But that percentage would actually place him among the most disloyal members of the senate Republican caucus. Hell, simply voting to confirm all the federal judges and senior political appointees whose confirmations have come before the Senate would get a Republican within range of the 80% mark.

If he was truly voting his “conscience” as a “deeply religious man,” surely Romney must do the same where appointments to the federal judiciary are concerned, right? Yet, of the dozens of appointees to the courts that have been confirmed by the Senate since Romney showed up, his “conscience” has managed not to find a reason to oppose a single one of them.

But those were quiet votes, away from the glare of the lights that accompany the TV cameras. It seems Romney’s religion and “conscience” only manage to engage when they tell him that voting against the President will grab him hour upon hour of favorable coverage from all the corrupt media Democrat toadies who defamed him during his 2012 run and who hate his guts every other day of the year. That’s a special kind of religion and “conscience” Mendacious Mitt has going for him there.

A political party with any pride and backbone would expel Romney today. But we’re talking about the Republicans here.

That is all.

Democrats: You Could Never Make Them up, Not in a Million Years

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Some observations on the passing scene…

So, he’s just like Mitt Romney, then. – At the trial of big Democrat donor Harvey Weinstein on Friday, one of the monster’s many victims testified that Weinstein has no testicles.

Image may contain: 1 person, closeup

The Junior Senator from Utah could not be reached for comment.

Do better, Utah voters. Please.

It was just another average day in Iowa for the nation’s Unfrozen Caveman Senator:

Speaking of Quid Pro Joe, two days after President Donald Trump (I will never tire of typing those three glorious words in sequence) held a rally that attracted well over 15,000 in Des Moines, here is a high school gym in Cedar Rapids being set up for a Biden “rally”:

That’s right: There are about 40 chairs set up in circular formation on the floor of the gym. This is the guy who the nation’s corrupt news media and its Democrat masters want you to believe is such a threat that President Trump tried to rig the 2020 election against him with the Ukraine. Folks, Joe Biden is not even a threat to Pete Buttigieg and Amy Klobuchar.

Charlie Kirk makes a really strong point here:

Think about the ages of the House Leadership, combined with the ages of the three leading Democrat presidential contenders – Biden, Bernie and Bloomberg – all of whom are 77 or older. The average American worker retires before the age of 65, yet these elderly people still cling to power and seek even more of it as they approach octogenarian status.

Ask yourself why that is? Is it simply that political power is its own narcotic? Or could it have something to do with the fact that each and every one of these people other than Bloomberg somehow managed to accumulate massive amounts of wealth while never earning even a $200,000 annual salary?

The answer here is obvious. For those who play the game, being a certified denizen of the DC Swamp is its own reward.

And by the way, if you don’t believe the three old white guys I mentioned above are indeed the three front-runners for the Democrat nomination because that’s not yet who the polls say they are, take a look at the latest betting odds:

Image

You can look at polls and cite them to me all you want, but I will tell you that the people putting down real, hard-earned money on who is the most likely winner of this clown-show nominating battle are a far more reliable gauge of how the race is really stacking up this far out from its conclusion. You should expect Bloomberg to continue to rise in this ranking as he plows through his personal fortune trying to buy the nomination, and the clearly infirm Biden to keep dropping.

But…but…but AOC says we’re all gonna be dead by 2030! – The increasingly insufferable loooooooser from Georgia, failed gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, told the always certain but always wrong prognosticator Nate Silver on Friday that she has a master plan for her life in which she will be elected president of the United States by the year 2040.

Given that the Democrat Party’s talking points on Climate Change variously claim that we will all be dead in 5 years or 10 years or 12 years or 6 years, depending on the day of the week and the phase of the moon, it seems like the Portly Petunia might be in need of speeding up her life’s timetable just a bit.

Democrats: If they didn’t already exist, no one could ever make them up, not in a million years. And honestly, who in their right mind would want to?

That is all.

The Senate Math: As Predictable As This Day Will Be Long

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

You will never see Jabba the Nadler move this fast again. – As the final question in this ridiculous DC Swamp Kabuki dance came down from Chief Justice John Roberts, no one watching doubted that the “honor” of giving the final answer would go to the Bugeyed monster, Adam Schiff. After all, Schiff had dominated the mic throughout the last two days, answering at least 80% of the questions that were directed at the House “managers.” There was no reason to think the Democrats’ last gasp would go to anyone else seated at their child’s table.

But Jabba the Nadler had other ideas, and was moving his chair back even as Justice Roberts uttered his final words. Watch this clip as Pencil Neck shouts “Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!” as the little rotund congressman from New York waddles up to the mic:

This impeachment scam has been a carnival freak show from Day 1. No reason why this “historic” moment should have been any different. Take a bow, Jabba, if you’re capable of doing so.

You seriously could never in a million years make these people up.

The Senate math to come this evening is as predictable as this day will be long. – In fact, it was very much predictable several days ago, as I laid out in Tuesday’s Campaign Update. We have known all along that, when it came down to voting on whether to allow the Democrats to prolong this farce by calling witnesses, Mitch McConnell could not rely on the votes of Mitt Romney, Susan Collins or Lisa Murkowski.

He can’t rely on Romney because Romney is a mendacious snake who only ran for the Senate to try to advance his own presidential prospects. He can’t rely on Collins because Collins is up for re-election this year in the 50/50 state of Maine, and she stupidly thinks she can curry favor with Democrats in her state by trying to thread this needle, casting a vote to call witnesses followed by a vote in favor of acquitting the President. And he can’t rely on Murkowski because Murkowski is a political coward who is afraid of getting bad press from the Anchorage newspaper.

So those three will all vote in favor of calling witnesses, and Romney is so mendacious that he might well vote in favor of removing the President from office.

McConnell’s job all along has been to find a way to keep any of the other RINOs in his caucus – and there are many – from joining those three on this witness vote. The corrupt media and their Democrat masters have done everything they can think of to pressure Cory Gardner and Lamar Alexander to become the decisive fourth Republican siding with the enemy, but both of those men signaled yesterday that they won’t do Nancy Pelosi’s bidding here.

So, this math would leave us with a 50/50 vote in the Senate, and by rule, that means the motion would fail. There is some speculation that the Chief Justice might attempt to step in and somehow cast a “tie-breaking” vote, but his role is simply to preside over the trial, and he does not have the power to cast votes like a Vice President would during a normal Senate session.

Roberts has been subjected to pressure by the Democrats and their corrupt media toadies to make a unilateral decision to force witnesses into this trial. He could theoretically do that, but doing so would create massive public outrage, and not just among the President’s supporters. Most Americans, regardless of political affiliation, are sick to death of this neverending farce.

It’s really hard to imagine Roberts going down this road, just as it was hard to imagine Sen. Alexander siding with the Democrats on witnesses. It just would be outside his character.

Assuming the motion to call witnesses is rejected, the next vote would be on a motion to acquit. Barring some last minute “bombshell” – which you can never discount given the depressingly dishonest nature of our corrupt news media – it is very predictable we will see a bipartisan majority vote in the President’s favor. Romney is the only RINO likely to vote to remove President Trump from office; meanwhile, Democrats Joe Manchin and Doug Jones are likely to vote to acquit. I think we will see at least one, and possibly two more Democrats do the same.

And then, it will all be over, at least for now. But the House Democrats will just go back to their chamber and continue their unending impeachment process against this President, because they know their lineup of circus clown candidate has no chance of defeating him in a fair election in November.

These people will never stop, until they are stopped.

That is all.

It’s a RINO Stampede in the U.S. Senate Now

Today’s Campaign Update, Part III
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

The Democrats continued to play out the Kavanaugh playbook in the Senate trial Monday morning, when they introduced their new star witness:

Image may contain: one or more people, eyeglasses and closeup

[Hat tip to whatever creative mind concocted this mashup.]

Yes, friends, meet Dr. Christine Blasey Bolton, the “surprise” witness the New York Times is desperately attempting to get inserted into this senate trial. As I pointed out in this morning’s piece, the Times’ “bombshell” reporting on Bolton’s book manuscript – which conveniently went up for pre-sale on Amazon about an hour after the Times’ piece was published – is designed specifically to put pressure on Senate RINOs to prolong this Democrat scam for several more weeks by agreeing with Democrats to call Bolton, and only Bolton, as a witness.

This tactic was as predictable as Chris Wallace’s liberal hackery, a veritable instant replay of the coordinated efforts by the very same Times reporters and their Democrat masters to insert the execrable liar Christine Blasey Ford into the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation process, just when it appeared certain he had the votes necessary to be confirmed. It’s like page 7 of the official Democrat/Media playbook.

Equally predictable have been the reactions by the three most likely RINO Usual Suspects, Mitt Romney, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski.

Romney, who has been actively looking for any pretense to side with his Democrat pals, jumped almost immediately, telling a CNN reporter early Monday morning this:

“I can’t begin to tell you how John Bolton’s testimony would ultimately play on a final decision but it’s relevant and therefore I’d like to hear it.”

Ok, yeah, sure, uh-huh. Romney, by the way, refused to say whether or not he would also support calling witnesses the Trump defense would like to see, like Joe Biden, Hunter Biden and Pencil Neck. Mitt gonna Mitt. Which is kind of like saying a dog is going to lick its own nether regions.

Next up was Susan Collins, the terminally annoying Senator from Maine. As is her habit, Collins issued a statement that had been carefully crafted by her staff talking points monkeys, which revealed her own weak-kneed posture and smeared her GOP colleagues by claiming “a number” of them were having second thoughts as well:

“The reports about John Bolton’s book strengthen the case for witnesses and have prompted a number of conversations among my colleagues,” Collins said in a statement.

Collins, who unlike Romney is up for re-election this year, apparently believes she finds strength by pretending to hide among “numbers.” She’s wrong.

Murkowski did what Murkowski pretty much always does, and vainly attempted to find a way to triangulate her way through it with this mushy non-answer:

“I stated before that I was curious as to what John Bolton might have to say … I’ve also said there is an appropriate time for us to evaluate whether we need additional information —that time is almost here,” Murkowski said in a statement.

So, the more pressure the corrupt media applied on behalf of the Democrats, the more weaselly these three will inevitably become. Collins found the courage to do the right thing in the case of Kavanaugh, but that was two full years before she had to stand for re-election. With November looming just 10 months away, you would not want to bet the family farm on her acting with similar integrity now.

Sadly, she is probably the strongest of the three. Romney hates the President and will do pretty much anything he believes will damage this administration, without regard for the good of the country. Murkowski will do whatever her focus groups tell her to do at the end of the day. Collins is really the only semi-independent actor of the bunch.

Of course, Mitch McConnell can lose those three and still have 50 votes to deny the Democrats the ability to call witnesses. The big question here is whether the media pressure can convince a fourth RINO to jump in bed with the enemy.

The two who have been targeted by the media are Cory Gardner of Colorado and Lamar Alexander of Tennessee. Gardner has been a pretty solid Trump supporter, but appears vulnerable here because he is facing a very tough re-election campaign himself against former Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper. But it’s hard to see how voting with the Democrats on this question would help Gardner’s chances in November, so if the Times is counting on him, they’re probably pissing up a tree.

Alexander is supposed to be somehow malleable on this because he is a “Senate traditionalist,” which I find to be a bizarre argument. No one is more of a “traditionalist” than Mitch McConnell, who practically lives and breathes Senate tradition, and you don’t see the media speculating about him.

Outside of those two, it becomes very hard to imagine who that fourth vote might be. The Times and Democrats are most likely going to have to conspire to spring another Kavanaugh-like surprise on the Senate in order to get to their 4-RINO goal.

The stampede is on, but it isn’t quite big enough to break through that fence line just yet.

That is all.

The Fake News is Flying Over the Senate Impeachment Trial

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

CBS was the Deep State’s choice to run with the Monday narrative-setting piece. – The Democrat/Media/Deep State pressure campaign on several GOP senator related to the upcoming Senate trial of President Donald Trump continued to mount on Monday. CBS News became the chosen vessel to run with yet another story based on an anonymous “source” designed to pressure not only the Usual Suspects among the Republican caucus, but also to add to their numbers.

From the CBS fake report:

Washington — The White House is preparing for some Republican senators to join Democrats in voting to call witnesses in President Trump’s impeachment trial, which could get underway in the coming days.

Senior White House officials tell CBS News they increasingly believe that at least four Republicans, and likely more, will vote to call witnesses. In addition to Senators Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Susan Collins of Maine, Mitt Romney of Utah and possibly Cory Gardner of Colorado, the White House also views Rand Paul of Kentucky as a “wild card” and Senator Lamar Alexander of Tennessee as an “institutionalist” who might vote to call witnesses, as one official put it.

Last week, Collins said she was working with a “fairly small group” of GOP senators to allow new testimony, adding that her colleagues “should be completely open to calling witnesses.” Romney has expressed an interest in hearing from former national security adviser John Bolton, who has said he would testify under subpoena. Murkowski said last week that the Senate should proceed as it did during the 1999 Clinton impeachment trial.

Note the story leads by naming the Usual Suspects who everyone knows are the most likely RINOs to go off the rails on any issue: Mitt Romney, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski, the three who can most often be relied upon to go squishy whenever the going gets tough. But the media knows that they need to pressure at least one more Republican squish to side with their Democrat buddies in order to get anything done, so now they are moving to add to the list. In fact, they may even need more than four GOP traitors, since Democrats Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Doug Jones of Alabama would both pay dearly back at home for supporting this impeachment scam.

So, first Republican name up? Cory Gardner of Colorado, who is facing a tough re-election campaign against former Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper. Oh, hey, and it’s purely a coincidence that, on the day on which this unsourced CBS story is published, Gardner suddenly gets attacked by a group led by Kellyanne Conway’s piggish husband George:

A group run by anti-Trump conservatives has released an advertisement targeting one of the most vulnerable Republican senators, Colorado Sen. Cory Gardner.

Gardner, 45, has one of the toughest reelection campaigns in the nation as the centrist Republican attempts to maintain his seat with President Trump on the ballot next to him. Trump lost Colorado in 2016 by 4.9%, and the Cook Political Report listed Gardner’s seat as a toss-up.

The Lincoln Project, a group led by George Conway, the husband of Trump’s counselor Kellyanne Conway, Steve Schmidt, John Weaver, and Rick Wilson, targeted Gardner for siding with Trump on several issues. The advertisement opens with the question, “Why are you losing?” and proceeds to blame Gardner’s tight reelection race on his relationship with Trump.

Now, Conway’s group doesn’t have much of a budget to pay for running the ad, but boy is it getting tons of free play in the corrupt news media. Funny how that happens.

Next up on the list of potential GOP turncoats is Kentucky Senator Rand Paul, who we just saw last week tossing a hissy fit with his libertarian buddy, Utah Senator Mike Lee, coming out a White House briefing on the situation with Iran. Oddly, the CBS article does not mention Sen. Lee as another potential Democrat ally. Frankly, I think he’s more likely to go rogue than Sen. Paul.

Finally, CBS goes after Lamar Alexander of Tennessee because he’s supposedly an “institutionalist,” whatever that means in the demented minds of corrupt reporters and editors. Honestly, that’s probably because the corrupt media always goes after Sen. Alexander in situations like this. They did the same thing during the Democrat fiasco over the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh, and failed. I honestly don’t see Sen. Alexander as a problem here.

And think about this where Alexander the “institutionalist” is concerned: No one in the history of the U.S. Senate was more of an “institutionalist” than the current Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell. Funny, we don’t see any corrupt media articles speculating about Cocaine Mitch, do we?

So, at the end of the day, what we have here is yet another narrative-setting piece for the Deep State. It’s a fake report based on zero named “sources,” and most likely no real source with any knowledge of the situation at all. The only “facts” on which it is based are a couple of off-hand comments made by Collins and Murkowski to local reporters in their home states. The one statement – by Collins – that is recounted by CBS could mean nothing more than that she ran into Senators Murkowski and Paul in the Hallway of Hart Senate Office Building and chatted with them for a couple of minutes about whether or not they wanted to hear testimony from Hunter Biden about the various illegitimate children he has fathered in several different states.

Here is what we do know:

  1. Mitch McConnell completely rolled Nancy Pelosi in the political gamesmanship leading up to this trial;
  2. Lacking any leverage whatsoever, Pelosi will transmit the articles of impeachment over to the Senate in the coming days;
  3. McConnell has the 51 votes he needs to proceed with the trial using the same Senate rules that were employed during the trial of Bill Clinton;
  4. Pelosi’s house managers – most likely Adam Schiff and Jabba the Nadler, which will be a hoot – will present the Democrats’ sham case;
  5. After that part of the trial has been completed, then and only then will there potentially be a vote to call witnesses who did not testify during the House’s Soviet-style hearings;
  6. Nobody – not CBS, the senators or anyone else – knows how any of these Republican senators will vote when that time comes.

So, get used to this kind of sham story from the corrupt media. With the Senate trial set to begin early next week, the pressure campaign on these and possibly additional GOP senators will only continue to mount. It’s going to be like the Kavanaugh fiasco all over again: The hit pieces will only become increasingly shrill as the Democrats become increasingly desperate as they see their impeachment scam failing to change minds.

Yes, it’s all despicable. Yes, it’s demented, and depraved, and disgusting. But hey, this is Democrats and their corrupt media toadies we’re talking about here – you expected something else?

That is all.

Cocaine Mitch Has Outflanked San Fran Nan

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Never, never, ever underestimate the ability of Mitch McConnell to work the process in the Senate. – Mitch McConnell told a very disappointed group of corrupt reporters on Tuesday that he now has the 51 Republican votes he needs to move forward with the very same Senate rules for a Senate trial on Nancy Pelosi’s ridiculous articles of impeachment that were used to govern the Senate trail of Bill Clinton.

As reported by U.S. News and World Report:

WASHINGTON (AP) — Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said he has the votes to start President Donald Trump’s impeachment trial as soon as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi releases the documents, winning support from GOP senators to postpone a decision on calling witnesses.

The announcement Tuesday was significant, enabling McConnell to bypass for now Democratic demands for new testimony as he launches the third impeachment trial in the nation’s history. It could begin this week if Pelosi sends the articles of impeachment to the Senate.

What this means is that no more than two of the three RINO Usual Suspect senators – Mitt Romney, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski – who have been targeted by the corrupt media for pressure campaigns designed to bully them into breaking party ranks have taken the bait.

As we cautioned you here at the Campaign Update the day after Christmas, you have to take media reports of senators going wobbly on this impeachment matter with a grain of salt. That was the day when the corrupt media went wild with a report that Murkowski had told an Anchorage, Alaska reporter that she was “disturbed” when she heard McConnell state that he would be working “hand in glove” with counsel for the President to determine how the Senate trial would be managed.

The press went crazy again last week, when Sen. Collins made a similar statement of “concern” about the process and indicated she was “open” to calling additional witnesses in the Senate. Well, at least one of those two ladies, and maybe both of them, have now indicated to the Senate Majority Leader that their concerns do not rise to the level of siding with a bunch of seditious Democrats who are attempting to execute a coup d’etat on U.S. soil.

You can say what you want to about these two ladies being “squishy” – which they both undeniably are on several specific issues – but it is a drastic error and completely unfair to them to equate their squishiness to being disloyal to the country, as the Democrats have become. One would think that the performance by Collins in supporting the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court would have schooled everyone on this regard forever where she is concerned.

Process-wise, what McConnell’s reaching this 51-vote threshold means is that, whenever San Fran Nan decides to finally release her sham articles of impeachment to the Senate, this is what will happen:

  • Chief Justice John Roberts will convene the Senate trial, with all 100 senators – including the four Democrats who are still presidential candidates – required to be in attendance for 6 days every week until the trial concludes;
  • The House Managers – a set of both Democrat and Republican House members – will present the case for impeachment, which will consume several days;
  • The lawyers for President Trump will then present his case, which will also likely consume several days;
  • Then and only then will the Senate hold a procedural vote to determine whether or not it will call additional witnesses;
  • More than likely, unless there is some major development related to Ukraine between now and then, the Senate will vote to dismiss the case at that time. That assumes that McConnell, the master of Senate process, can hold his 51 votes together.

All in all, assuming McConnell holds his majority together, the trial in the Senate will consume about two weeks.

Pelosi will now come under great pressure from the Democrat presidential candidates to go ahead and release the articles so that this can all play out prior to the Iowa caucuses that will take place on February 3. However, she wants to keep them in-hand until the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals rules on a pending case that would, if  it goes the Democrats’ way, give them access to the Mueller Witch Hunt grand jury material and potentially allow the House Democrats to enforce their sham subpoenas. But oral arguments were just heard in that case last Friday, and it could be weeks before any decision is rendered.

So, bottom line: Mitch McConnell has completely out-maneuvered Pelosi on this. She is now in a corner, clinging to a tactic that has failed to move public opinion against the President, and utterly failed to move any GOP senators into the pro-removal column.

Somebody go make her a Bloody Mary. She’s going to need one this morning. Maybe two.

That is all.

Some Political Predictions for 2020 – A Year of WINNING

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

As 2019 comes to an end, several aspects of the political situation in the United States and globally are becoming clear. – After a very eventful year during which the Democrat/Media/Deep State Axis of Disinformation threw everything they could think of at President Donald Trump, he is now emerging as the United States emerged in the wake of the destruction of the Soviet Union, as the only real political superpower remaining.

The Democrats, meanwhile, are in a shambles. The impeachment scam run by San Fran Nan, Bugeyes Schiff and Jabba the Nadler has had the unintended consequence actually strengthening President Trump’s polling numbers to the point that he now holds leads over every major Democrat candidate in 3 of the 4 most recently-released polls, and has a double digit lead in the key states of Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.  With the Republicans able to control the process for a Senate trial, this polling dynamic promises to only get worse in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, their Party’s presidential field is scaring the public to death. Joe Biden is a doddering, bumbling shell of a human being who is desperately trying to avoid being prosecuted for looting the Ukraine with his ne’er-do-well son before he can win the Democrat Party’s nomination; The Commie is so bankrupt of any idea that does not involve stealing and wasting Other People’s Money that he has had to enlist the help of congress’s most notorious nitwit, AOC, to keep his campaign going; Fauxcahontas has seen her campaign stagnate under the weight of too many bald-faced lies about her personal life; Preacher Pete peaked in July at 8% in the polls and lacks the appeal to move any higher than that; Nanny Bloomberg has managed to secure just 5% support with his $150 million ad campaign spend, and the rest of the field is too insignificant to waste words on.

Put simply, the Democrats enter 2020 desperately in need of a new candidate, some dynamic, truly appealing, vibrant new national figure who could excite their demented voter base and give them some shred of hope of mounting a competitive effort against the incumbent President next Fall. But the only thing they have waiting in the wings for the right opening to step into the fray is the Pantsuit Princess, the Coughing Crook, the Fainting Felon, the Grasping Grifter, the Cackling Crank.  You know her as Hillary Rodham Clinton. Not a good look, Democrats. America has already been there and done that, twice. Are you really going to let her go for the presidential loser hat trick?

All of that and so much more points us to a fascinating 2020 to come. Here are some predictions on how it will all play out:

  • Pelosi will relent on her failed, idiotic tactic of withholding the articles of impeachment and transmit them to the Senate shortly after congress reconvenes on January 7. At the same time, she will authorize her carnival freak show committee chairs to institute the impeachment process permanently, so they can mount yet another new scam later in the year;
  • The Senate trial will last barely a week, as 51 Republicans and one Democrat – Joe Manchin – will vote to acquit President Trump following the presentation of the case by the House Managers. RINO senators Mutt Romney and Lisa Murkowski will vote “present”;
  • Communists across the globe will become incredibly excited when The Commie ekes out narrow wins in both the Iowa Caucus and New Hampshire primary, with Preacher Pete Buttigieg running a close second in both states;
  • The Commie/Preacher Pete boomlet will quickly run aground, however, on the shoals of the African American vote in South Carolina and the Hispanic vote in Nevada, which will carry Quid Pro Joe to closer-than-expected wins in those next two contests on February 29;
  • Super Tuesday on March 3 will flush the deadwood out of the Democrat primary system. Bloomberg will see his strategy of skipping the first four contests come a crapper, as his spend of $300 million by then will gain him no better than 5th place finishes in any state. Biden will win both California and Texas, the big prizes of the day, along with several other states, but his small margins of victory will prevent him from piling up a big delegate lead. Warren will win Massachusetts, Sanders will prevail in his home state of Vermont and neighboring New Hampshire and Maine, keeping both senators in the race. Buttigieg will win no state on Super Tuesday, but will fight on as the only remaining protected “miniority” candidate as Cory Booker, Andrew Yang and Tulsi Gabbard finally give up their ghosts of a campaign;
  • Bloomberg will also remain in the race and keep spending tons of money in anti-Trump ads because, in case you haven’t figured this out yet, he’s not really running for the office, but as a proxy for the Democrat National Committee, which is flat, dead broke;
  • At some point in the Spring, the Democrat/Media/Deep State Axis of Disinformation will create a new fake “scandal” out of whole cloth and mount yet another impeachment effort, complete with more rounds of Soviet-style hearings led by Commissars Schiff and Jabba. They will vote out new articles of impeachment during the week of the Republican National Convention in late August. This is as predictable as the sun rising in the East;
  • Also in the Spring, shortly after the Democrats have begun their next impeachment scam, the public arrests and perp walks coming out of the investigation by U.S. Attorney John Durham and Attorney General William Barr will commence. Those arrests will take place simultaneously, and involve most, but not all, of the major figures who led the DOJ/CIA/FBI Spygate operation and Coup Cabal. The corrupt news media will use the occasion will do its furious best to smear the reputations of Barr and Durham and any other prosecutor who becomes enlisted in the operation, because hey, that’s what our corrupt news media does;
  • Shortly after the arrests have taken place, Barr and Durham will hold a joint press conference during which they will let it be known that these arrests are a beginning, not an end, and that Durham and his team are still building cases targeting other, possibly higher officials in the Obama Administration. A few days later, Barack and Michelle Obama and Bill and Hillary Clinton will be seen walking the beaches in non-extradition treaty countries;
  • Predictably, the system of awarding delegates proportionally rather than winner-take-all will ensure that no candidate will enter the July Democrat National Convention with the majority of delegates needed to secure the nomination on the first ballot. But Biden will win on the second ballot, when the “Super Delegates” get to vote, due to the myth of his “electability.” Biden will choose Buttigieg as his running mate in order to add “diversity” to the Democrat ticket;
  • In kicking off his acceptance speech, Biden will say that “It’s fantastic to be here in the great state of Wyoming!” The convention is being held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His campaign will go downhill from there;
  • The Commie, angry that the Party has once again rejected his Marxist siren song, will announce he is running as an “independent,” and will choose AOC as his running mate despite the fact that she is five years too young to serve as Vice President, a fact that AOC and the Twitter Outrage Mob will denounce as a relic of “white male supremacy”;
  • The Democrat/Media/Deep State Axis of Disinformation’s latest impeachment sham will backfire once again, adding another 4% of the popular vote to the President’s support base;
  • Despite massive Democrat voter fraud efforts that inflate Biden’s vote total by 2 to 4 million votes, President Trump will win 52% of the popular vote in the November election to Biden’s 40%. The Sanders/Ocasio-Cortez independent ticket will come in with just 5%, which is about the percentage of Democrat voters who make up the Twitter Outrage Mob;
  • Much of Trump’s margin of victory – which will include a whopping 370 electoral votes – will be due to the fact the he will receive 20% of the African American vote and almost 40% of Hispanic votes. He will also become the first Republican in modern times to pull a majority of he Jewish vote, as Jewish folks become increasingly aware of the fact that all of these attacks on their people are taking place in cities that have been run by Democrats for decades. The corrupt media will continue to call the President a “racist” and an “anti-Semite” despite those results;
  • Biden and all other Democrats will refuse to accept the results of the election, attributing their latest failure to mythical “voter suppression” efforts by Trump and the Republicans. They will beef up George Soros’s funding of Antifa and other radical leftwing riot crews. The resulting mass riots in major, Democrat-run cities will make those seen following the 2016 election look like a day in the park;
  • The Democrat mayors will blame the riots and looting and carnage on President Trump.

Some things are just too predictable.

Happy New Year!

That is all.

Impeachment Public Testimony: The Worst 8 Days in Democrat Party History

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

As the public impeachment circus hearings come to a close, America asks, what in the hell was that all about? – Having worked in the communications field for a long, long time, one of the first things I learned was that if you cannot make your case to the average American in 25 words or less – 50 at the outside – you don’t have a case.

The average American has the attention span of the average house cat. If you aren’t giving them some food or scratching them at just the right spot behind the ears, they’re going to move onto focusing on the next thing that moves. That is why this impeachment circus is going to go down as one of the most epic fails in our nation’s history.

Over the last 8 days, Bug-eyes Schiff has paraded a series of non-witnesses across the nation’s television screens who not only could not make their case in 25 to 50 words, they couldn’t do it in 25 to 50 minutes. By the time people like Bill Taylor or this David what’s-his-name who testified on Thursday with Fiona Hill finished their interminable, confusing opening statements, most Americans had either tuned out or committed suicide just to make the bad men stop.

It has been hilarious watching during the breaks as DC Swamp skunks like Chris Wallace have classified a Marie Yovanovitch or a Gordan Sondland as a “compelling witness,” knowing that these insufferable gossips were compelling only to their fellow denizens of the Swamp. No one in the rest of America gave a damn what these people had to say, and that is already starting to show up in the public opinion polls.

Think about it: Everyone in America knew what Watergate was all about. There was a burglary and the President lied and obstructed justice to try to cover it all up. That’s 18 words.

Everyone in America knew what the Clinton impeachment was all about. The President was having sex with a plump intern in the Oval Office and he lied and obstructed justice to try to cover it all up. That’s 26 words. Easy.

In this Ukraine deal, the Democrats have simply failed to make any cogent case describing succinctly what it is all about. Anyone who managed to listen to this parade of offended bureaucrats came away more confused than anything else, and frankly pissed off to see first-hand the sort of petty jealousies and turf-protection activities that appear to dominate in America’s diplomatic corps.

This whole process is a stunning, amazing failure by a Democrat Party armed with the support of 95% of the nation’s corrupt news media. In order for it to succeed, Schiff and his band of circus clowns would have had to move public opinion in favor of impeachment to such an extent that a bunch of Republican members of the house and senate came over to their side. Instead, the first raft of polling data shows they have only succeeded in moving it in the President’s favor.

Republicans, in fact, are so fired up that a group of GOP senators – including Lindsey Graham, Susan Collins and Mitt Romney (!) – got together at the White House with President Trump today and agreed that it would be to their advantage to hold a full-fledged trial in the Senate should the Democrats ultimately approve articles of impeachment.

Rather than try to make this thing go away quickly, the GOP is now ready to prolong it right into the presidential primary season.

These past 8 days are the worst 8 days in the Democrat Party’s history. They will ultimately ensure that Bug-eyes Schiff’s place in U.S. history will be as one of the greatest failures ever to walk the halls of congress. Awesome.

That is all.

Unpopular French Senators, and Piece of Sh*t Engages in Projection

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Delightful Peter isn’t satisfying his voters back home. – It turns out that running fake Twitter accounts and bashing the sitting President who easily won your state in 2016 is not a great strategy. A new poll of Utah voters shows the state’s creepy Twitter lurking Senator is now underwater with his constituents by a 46-51% margin. Not earth-shattering, but also not optimal, and it’s important to note that this poll was taken before Romney’s creepy nom de plume was revealed for all to be repelled by on Monday.

But Pierre Delecto, aka Creepy Uncle Mitt, did not run for that Utah senate seat in 2018 in the hopes of spending 30 years in the Senate. He ran for that senate seat in order to position himself to help remove President Donald Trump from office. He and his #NeverTrump cheering squad then hope to position the 2012 loooooooser to Barack Obama as the GOP’s replacement nominee so that he can run another loooooser campaign and hand the presidency to whatever Marxist/Alinsky radical the Democrat Party offers up.

So, negative approval polls back home? A minor irritant to a fake Frenchman with such large dreams of losing on the national stage one more time.

Noted piece of sh*t Obama toady Susan Rice engages in some podcast projection. – What is it about these Democrats and their podcasts? First, the Pantsuit Princess calls Tulsi Gabbard a Russian asset on a podcast with Democrat shill David Plouffe, causing an intra-party war to break out.

Now, the wretched Benghazi liar Susan Rice, one of the most detestable public figures in modern times, goes on a podcast with fellow Obama toady pieces of sh*t Ben Rhodes and Tommy Vietor and calls Senator Lindsey Graham “a piece of sh*t”, not once, but three times:

“He’s been a piece of shit,” she said. “He’s a piece of shit. There, I said it, he’s a piece of sh*t.”

Now, many, many people have very strong opinions about Sen. Graham, and most of them are well-founded and well-deserved. I personally detailed my own current grievances about the South Carolina Senator just yesterday, in fact.

Graham is one of the most mercurial and unprincipled members of the U.S. Senate, a guy who followed the execrable warmonger globalist John McCain around like a little doggie on a leash for 20 years, but also a guy who experiences momentary bursts of stellar behavior, as he did during the Brett Kavanaugh hearings a year ago:

But Susan Rice of all people? Whatever else one thinks about Lindsey Graham, he served his country in the U.S. Air Force JAG Corps for 7 years. Susan Rice has never had a patriotic moment in her entire life. Susan Rice has never produced anything positive for the American people. Susan Rice is the despicable hack who has such low personal standards that she was willing to go on not one, not two, not three, not four, but FIVE Sunday morning fake news shows on the Sunday after Benghazi happened and recite a completely false script at Obama’s demand.

Susan Rice is the detestable sock puppet who wrote the infamous “memo to self” on January 20, 2017, in a vain attempt to cover Obama’s crooked butt related to the efforts to spy on the Trump campaign and fix the 2016 election. Susan Rice is nothing but the very worst kind of DC Swamp errand girl, a person who has spent her entire adult life working to undermine the foundations of the American Republic.

If anyone in America can be accurately described as a pile of excrement laying out on a sidewalk for some unsuspecting passerby to step on, it is Susan Rice. She should move to San Francisco, where piles of human waste are all over the sidewalks and she would have plenty of company.

This has got to be the most unintentionally-hilarious case of projection in world history.

That is all.

Predictably, Romney Sides With the Democrats on Impeachment

Today’s Campaign Update, Part III
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

The Campaign Update hates to say it told you so, but, well, it told you so. –  To the surprise of literally no one who has paid attention to his mendacious machinations to position himself to seek the 2020 GOP presidential nomination in the event of the ultimate removal of President Trump in this latest Deep State coup effort, Mitt Romney on Friday issued a series of tweets which for all intents and purposes put him in direct league with San Fran Nan and the Munchkin caucus in the House of Representatives:

You regular readers of Today’s Campaign Update already expected the 2012 loser Romney to make his next move, since we laid it all out for you in the Campaign Update for September 26. Seeking an opening to move into the mix for the 2020 nomination is the very reason why Romney sought retiring Senator Orrin Hatch’s open Utah senate seat in the first place in 2018.

The disloyal RINO believes his time has come with San Fran Nan’s fake impeachment circus, but let’s analyze what he says in his tweets through the lens of reality.

First, there’s this:

“When the only American citizen President Trump singles out for China’s investigation is his political opponent in the midst of the Democratic nomination process, it strains credulity to suggest that it is anything other than politically motivated.”

Ok, so which other American citizen worked with his ne’er-do-well son to implement a blatantly obvious pay for play scheme to leverage his high government office in recent years? I mean, other than Hillary Clinton, that is. I can’t think of any other high official accused of such shenanigans as they relate to China, although we now know it is likely San Fran Nan has been doing the same thing with her own son and Ukraine.

Is the junior Senator from Utah suggesting that the sitting POTUS has no obligation to root out corruption in the U.S. government, whether it is current or in the recent past? Surely no man of God, which Romney piously claims to be, would hold such a belief.

Ok, then, is Romney suggesting that any Democrat who fears being investigated for corruption can obtain immunity by simply declaring his or her candidacy for the 2020 Democrat nomination? If that’s the legal principle this jackass is endorsing, imagine how many former DOJ/FBI/CIA officials – not to mention the Pantsuit Princess – will be lining up to file their papers with the FEC in the coming days.

Then there’s this:

“By all appearances, the President’s brazen and unprecedented appeal to China and to Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden is wrong and appalling.”

Is the junior Senator simply unaware that the United States of America has anti-corruption treaties with both China and Ukraine, treaties that obligate both nations to perform full and complete investigations of allegations of corrupt acts by one anothers’ citizens in their countries when these kinds of allegations arise? Those are treaties entered into by previous presidential administrations, not this one.

Also, has the junior Senator simply never heard of this thing called the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, a law enacted in 1977, when Democrat James Earl Carter was president? Here is DOJ’s official description of that law:

The Foreign Corrupt Practices Act of 1977, as amended, 15 U.S.C. §§ 78dd-1, et seq. (“FCPA”), was enacted for the purpose of making it unlawful for certain classes of persons and entities to make payments to foreign government officials to assist in obtaining or retaining business. Specifically, the anti-bribery provisions of the FCPA prohibit the willful use of the mails or any means of instrumentality of interstate commerce corruptly in furtherance of any offer, payment, promise to pay, or authorization of the payment of money or anything of value to any person, while knowing that all or a portion of such money or thing of value will be offered, given or promised, directly or indirectly, to a foreign official to influence the foreign official in his or her official capacity, induce the foreign official to do or omit to do an act in violation of his or her lawful duty, or to secure any improper advantage in order to assist in obtaining or retaining business for or with, or directing business to, any person.

Since 1977, the anti-bribery provisions of the FCPA have applied to all U.S. persons and certain foreign issuers of securities. With the enactment of certain amendments in 1998, the anti-bribery provisions of the FCPA now also apply to foreign firms and persons who cause, directly or through agents, an act in furtherance of such a corrupt payment to take place within the territory of the United States.

[End]

The allegation related to Ukraine where Hunter Biden is concerned is that he was given a cushy, high-paying seat on the board of directors of a Ukraine gas company even though he held zero expertise in the energy world. Thus, the allegation is that the $50k/month he received was simply a bribe in exchange for access to his Vice President dad, who also happened to be Barack Obama’s point man on Ukraine policy.

The allegation related to China is that Hunter Biden’s investment firm – created right after his Dad became Vice President – took billions in fees from Chinese businesses in exchange for similar access to Dear ol’ Dad.

Given this blatant, transparent pay to play operation, and Joe Biden’s bragging about getting a Ukraine prosecutor who was investigating Hunter’s shenanigans fired, President Trump could legitimately be accused of dereliction of duty if he did NOT ask the Ukrainian and Chinese governments to investigate the matters.

Thus, the Junior Senator from Utah is in fact advocating the President break the law and ignore his oath of office.

What a despicable – and entirely predictable – thing for the 2012 loser to do.

That is all.

Larry Schweikart: Don’t Worry About Mitch McConnell On Impeachment

Guest Piece by Larry Schweikart, America’s History Teacher

Yertle’s Quiet Effectiveness

Poor old Mitch McConnell. The Senate Majority Leader is frequently accused of being part of the “Swamp.” Perhaps he is, but he has been superbly effective for the last four years, and almost nobody notices. Indeed, Yertle (as I affectionately call him) has been a one-man Senate wrecking crew against liberals.

Yet he is constantly under fire, most recently from Rush Limbaugh who cited Yertle’s comment that if the House impeaches President Trump, the Senate must have a trial. Well, duh.

That’s the Constitution fer ya!

But I don’t think it means at all what it seems, and I think Nancy Pelosi (who I refer to as “Botoxic”) is realizing that. But let’s review Yertle’s record first, shall we?

In 2015, at no one’s urging, Yertle took it upon himself to block Barack Obama’s U.S. Supreme Court nominee, Merrick Garland, from receiving a vote, claiming (with no particular historical precedent) that because Zero (my nickname for Obama) was in the last year of his presidency, that would not be fair. Keeping Garland off the Court and preventing a Democrat 5-4 majority would have been huge, to say the least.

But Yertle didn’t stop there.

*Lucy Koh, nominated to the Ninth Circuit, was reported out of the Judiciary Committee but Yertle didn’t give her a floor vote. Instead that went to a Trump appointee, Daniel Collins.

*The same story was true of Donald Schott, a Seventh Circuit nominee. The seat ultimately went to Trump pick Michael Brennan.

*In the Eighth Circuit, the nominee Jennifer Puhl likewise was not given a vote. That went to.  Trump pick Ralph Erickson.

*At the Supreme Court level, Yertle promised that both Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh would be confirmed. They were. (By the way, yesterday Russell Bucklew was executed: his appeal, Bucklew v. Precythe involved the issue of capital punishment, and the Court ruled against Bucklew. That very well may not have happened without Kavanaugh.)

*He promised to pass the tax cut. He did.

*He promised to bring Obamacare up for a vote (note: Yertle did NOT promise to pass it, as I think he knew John McCain would do his infamous “thumbs down.”)

So as best I can tell, every time Yertle says he will do something, it gets done. Let’s return to Yertle’s comment about holding a trial if Botoxic passes impeachment: I don’t think this was Yertle laying down at all (or, I guess, retreating into his shell). I don’t even think this was him absentmindedly saying he’d follow the Constitution.

For a free “Reagan” webinar, email Larry at [email protected]

This was a shot across Botoxic’s bow. This was Yertletalk for “Make my day.” This tells me Yertle knows he hsa 34 hard “acquits” in his caucus (and likely another 10 squish acquits—that is, RINOs who, when they see how the vote is going, will be on the winning side). Indeed, I think Yertle is right now just a couple of votes away from something that is rarely mentioned: a “dismissal.” The Senate must convene a trial, but in Bill Clinton’s impeachment trial, two weeks in, Senator Robert “Sheets” Byrd filed a motion to dismiss.

It only failed by seven votes—for a president who had clearly lied and obstructed justice. Therefore, I think Yertle probably could count on about 45-47 votes to dismiss right now. If the impeachment charges from the House are lame (as almost certainly they will be), Yertle can reach 50, and Mike Pence breaks the tie. By saying “We’d have to have a trial,” Yertle was promising Botoxic and the Democrats would lose in a most embarrassing way, that there would be no stalling, and that it would be over before Ilhan Omar could marry another male relative.

Yertle knows his caucus, and he knows that other than Mitt (“Minion”) Romney, no one will vote to convict Trump of anything. I can almost hear Yertle, in his best Pedro Serrano voice (from “Major League”), “You bring dat chit to me, mon. Bring dat chit to me!”

Bolton Out, Permanent War Crowd Angry. Cool.

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

National Security Advisor John Bolton claims he resigned today. – But the truth is almost certainly that he was fired, most likely because President Donald Trump became fed up with Bolton always playing George C. Scott’s General Turgidson character in the film Dr. Strangelove:

Turgidson: Mr. President, we are rapidly approaching a moment of truth, both for ourselves as human beings and for the life of our nation. Now, truth is not always a pleasant thing. But it is necessary now to make a choice, to choose between two admittedly regrettable, but nevertheless distinguishable, post-war environments: one where you got 20 million people killed, and the other where you got 150 million people killed!]

Muffley: You’re talking about mass murder, General, not war.

Turgidson: Mr. President, I’m not saying we wouldn’t get our hair mussed, but I do say no more than 10 to 20 million killed, tops! Uh, depending on the breaks.

Muffley: I will not go down in history as the greatest mass murderer since Adolf Hitler.

Turgidson: Perhaps it might be better, Mr. President, if you were more concerned with the American people, than with your image in the history books.

Here is what the President tweeted out about the matter earlier today:

It becomes tiresome, no doubt, to be constantly advised to just keep the wars going when you got elected based on a promise to start ending some of the damn wars. So, let’s nobody be surprised that the President ultimately got fed up and pulled the trigger, so to speak, on firing the White House spokesperson for the permanent war crowd.

Who leads that crowd, you ask? Well, to paraphrase the great Hans Gruber from Die Hard, “you ask me for the leader, I give you Mitt Romney”:

You should also expect your TV screens and social media news feeds to be filled with similar statements of outrage from the usual warmonger suspects like Bill Kristol, various writers at the National Review and of course, the presidential candidate you never heard of before last week, Joe Walsh.

Meanwhile, Senator Rand Paul, who supports the President’s vision of getting America out of these intractable Middle East and African conflicts, had this to say:

Ironically you will also no doubt see many of the very same Democrats and fake news media talking heads who slammed President Trump for hiring Bolton now also slam him for firing Bolton.

Oh, hey, here’s Democrat congressman Chris Murphy doing exactly that:

Finally, you will also see the fake news media who detest the President suddenly cast Bolton as the smartest guy in the room, a wise and seasoned advisor who everyone should now listen to, just as they have done with The Mooch in the past few weeks. I give it no more than 72 hours before either CNN or MSNBC gives Bolton a huge contract to be an on-air expert contributor.

Because that is who our fake news media is, and that is how they work.

That is all.

The Week in Review: The Trump Tide Begins to Turn

The Campaign Update Week in Review
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

[The week just past as chronicled on the @GDBlackmon Twitter feed.]

The week began with sellout actor Robert DeNiro threatening Trump supporters that he’d never forget what we’ve done the last few years, whatever that means. Yeah, well, we’re never gonna forget he got paid $20 million for making “Dirty Grandpa” and “The Intern.”:

But things only got better from there. Here is a worker who does, I kid you not, the BEST. TRUMP. IMPRESSION. EVER!:

Slick Willie and the Pantsuit Princess got heckled in their fake “home state” of New York, and all was right with the world.:

Jabba The Nadler jumped in to defend The Enemy Within, Ilhan Omar, in her latest anti-America remarks controversy.:

Cher previews the lyrics to her upcoming new hit sing, “MY CITY CAN’T TAKE CARE OF ITS OWN!!!!”:

…and the next morning’s Campaign Update was all about that Cher tweet, which was the most awesomest tweet in the history of awesomely hypocritical tweets.:

Why “global warming” isn’t really a thing anymore…:

It was mid-day Monday, and Notre Dame was burning.:

Meanwhile, “Morning Joe” was off his meds again. Or maybe he was on them, it’s hard to tell.:

Irish Bob O’Rourke was running low on meaningless sophistries to recite to his mind-numbed followers, so he decided to poll them about what they want to hear, so they could give him a bunch more things to regurgitate back to them on the campaign trail. He is seriously running the most vacuous campaign in Democrat history, and that is the party that gave us two previous campaigns from Joe Biden.:

AOC is actually correct about this, but the truth about Creepy Joe Biden won’t sit well with San Fran Nan.:

San Fran Nan was trying to get AOC and The Enemy Within under some control, and her efforts did seem to have some dampening effect on their behavior as the week wore on. It won’t last for long, though.:

Well, that sure doesn’t fit the narrative. Not at all.:

Because he plans to “pay” for it by ordering the Treasury to print trillions of new dollars every year, devaluing the currency in the process. Same way he plans to pay for free college and all his other mindless socialist ideas. It’s the Venezuela model.:

Eric “Because the Government has nukes” Swalwell entered the presidential race, solely to play the role of the Democrat Party’s stalking horse on gun control.:

Andy McCarthy had a great piece on the Obama Cabal’s spying operation on the Trump Campaign.:

Yikes. Running Roy Moore for that senate seat again would be like Texas Democrats running Wendy Davis as their gubernatorial candidate again.:

Here’s my Campaign Update on San Fran Nan’s efforts to control her radical Kiddie Caucus by putting them in semi-time out.:

Tea Biscuits everywhere stand highly insulted by this tweet from the inimitable James Woods.:

Irish Bob O’Rourke was too busy riding a skateboard in his sheep suit.:

The slow turning of Fox News continues…:

Our fake news media barely noticed, but realeasing the Mueller Report wasn’t the only important action taken by Attorney General William Barr this week.:

CNN’s real competition isn’t Fox News or MSNBC, it’s TLC and The Food Network.:

Gosh, I wonder what tipped him off?:

Best, most prescient meme of the week here.:

Brit Hume tipped me off to one of the best things I’ve read all year. You should read it, too.:

I’m old enough to remember when journalists were trained to bitch and moan whenever public officials refused to hold press conferences. Now, they bitch and moan when the Attorney General holds one. It’s all so despicable.:

All carbon tax proposals are nothing more than money-grabbing scams.  Every one of them. Remember this key fact of political life – it will serve you well in the future.:

Tim Young is the hammer, liberals are his nails.:

I’m always happy to be of service to others.:

And just like that, here we go.:

President Trump offers the most concise summary of the 400-page Mueller Witch Hunt Report.:

….aaaaannnnnndddd the celebration at the White House begins.:

The media reaction to Barr’s release of the Mueller Report was highly-predictable, and oh, so entertaining.:

….they were still melting down the next day, to no one’s surprise.:

Their behavior was so abhorrent that they’d even lost Geraldo Rivera, for crying out loud.:

Chris Cuomo looked like a deer in the headlights.  Ok, he always looks like a deer in the headlights, but still…:

Meet the new #NeverTrump talking points, same as the old #NeverTrump talking points. So tiresome.:

Fauxcahontas was on the warpath, sending out smoke signals demaning scalps!:

….aaaannnnnddd reliable old NBC News led the charge with the new officially-approved joint Media/Democrat talking points, as the goal posts shifted yet again.:

And finally, Mitt Romney saw what he thought was a chance to advance his own presidential ambitions by jumping in with the Democrat/Media propaganda complex, because of course he did.:

What an amazing week it was, huh?

Happy Easter to you all!

That is all.

A Snake Named Mitt Emerges From the Grass

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Situational outrage, by Mitt Romney. – Mitt Romney still thinks he can become president. That fact was obvious throughout his 2018 senatorial campaign, and it is obvious in every public statement he’s made since buying that Utah senate seat. He didn’t come to the senate to represent the interests of the people of Utah; he came there for pure self-aggrandizement purposes. He’s there solely to undermine President Donald Trump, and see if he can somehow work with Bill Kristol and the few dozen remaining #NeverTrump fake Republicans to weasel his way into the 2020 GOP presidential nomination.

Thus, Romney’s statement about the Mueller report issued yesterday comes as no surprise at all. Here’s what he said:

So, just as Romney refused to actually campaign against Barack Obama in 2012, refused to offer any cogent criticism of his radical leftist opponent or go after him in any truly meaningful way, he still refuses to point his crooked finger of criticism at the real opposition today. Romney’s “sickened” reading all the gossip and unfounded innuendo put into the Mueller Report by 19 Clinton/Obama hacks, but he is not at all sickened by these actual facts:

  • Romney is not sickened by the fact that the Democrats conspired with the fake news media for three solid years to push a “Russia Collusion” conspiracy theory;
  • Romney is not sickened by the fact that Special Counsel has proven that conspiracy theory to be a total and complete fraud;
  • He is not sickened by the fact that the Hillary Clinton Campaign and DNC spent $11 million conspiring with agents from Great Britain and Russia to compile the phony “Trump Dossier” that became the foundation for the conspiracy theory;
  • He is not sickened by the fact that, in the wake of being revealed to be massive frauds, neither the Democrats nor anyone in the fake news media has offered any sort of apology for their anti-American efforts to undermine a duly elected president and our democracy;
  • He is not sickened by the fact that a cabal of deep state operatives within the DOJ/FBI worked first to fix the 2016 election in favor of the Pantsuit Princess, and then worked to effect an actual, real coup d’etat designed to fraudulently remove a sitting President;
  • Mitt Romney, ostensibly a “Republican”, is not sickened by the likelihood that this cabal’s efforts have hampered the ability of a duly-elected President to properly staff his administration and do the work of the American people, and that those efforts most likely enabled the Democrats to capture control of the House of Representatives in 2018;
  • Mitt Romney, supposed upstanding American, is not sickened by the fact that Robert Mueller and his Gestapo-like tactics have destroyed the lives of many American citizens, including a real, true American hero in General Mike Flynn.

That list of things that sicken you and me but do not even phase Mitt Romney could go on and on and on. But being sickened by any of those things would not help this self-absorbed jerk advance his goal of snaking his way into the GOP nomination in 2020. So, why bother, right?

Right.

Mitt Romney’s sensibilities and ethics are purely situational.

Donald Trump is who he is, and he wears that personal reality right out there on his sleeve for everyone to see. You can like him or not like him, but he has been a damned-effective President despite the massive conspiracy designed to stop him. And the best thing about him is that he is completely transparent, unlike any of his most public critics, most especially the fake-Republican snakes in the grass like Mitt Romney.

Here’s the bottom line: Mitt lost; Trump won.

That is all.

Senate Vote to Rebuke Trump Lets GOP Voters Meet the Real Enemy

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

The Kabuki Theater in our nation’s capital never ceases. – Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell – who will be the Senate Minority Leader after the 2020 elections if he keeps pulling nonsense like this – staged a show vote in the U.S. Senate yesterday that will lead to President Donald Trump’s first exercise of his veto power.

The show vote came on a resolution to reverse the President’s national emergency declaration on the border situation – which congress is completely responsible for causing and allowing to mushroom – that was earlier passed by the House of Representatives. That declaration is clearly within both the President’s constitutional authority and consistent with the powers that congress had explicitly granted to every U.S. president in a law it passed in 1976.

Given that reality, the proper thing for a congress truly concerned with protecting its own powers to do would have been to act to reverse that 1976 law. But no, this is Kabuki theater we are playing at here, and members of congress really don’t want to have to be responsible for anything other than raising money for their next re-election campaign. Thus, House Democrats and a handful of Republicans came up with this resolution targeting a single declaration by a President they hate, a power that was exercised 17 times by America’s Worst Mistake, Barack Hussein Obama.

Given that this resolution contained a poison pill provision that gave the Senate just 18 days in which to hold a vote following the Feb. 26 house passage of it, McConnell could simply have allowed it to die on the vine without bringing it to the Senate floor as he has done with literally hundreds of previous bad bills that have come over from the House during his time in the leader’s post. But the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the editorial board at the Wall Street Journal, and other major advocates of open borders demanded a show vote, and McConnell gave in to pressure from senate Republicans who are beholden to those elements of the D.C. establishment universe.

In the end, a dozen Republicans joined all 47 Senate Democrats in voting to pass the resolution. Rand Paul of Kentucky and Utah Senator Mike Lee voted with the majority due to their libertarian “principles”, principles that always seem to give one or both of them reason to defect to the Democrats on matters of real national import.  Funny how that works.

But the other 10 Rs who voted that way did so simply to please their open borders benefactors, and thus deserve to be mentioned by name and remembered by every thinking American who wishes to avoid turning our own country into just another 3rd-world hovel. Those senators are:

Susan Collins of Maine

Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, who has more conflicts than an episode of “Empire”

Mitt Romney of Utah because of course Mitt Romney is on this list

Marco Rubio of Florida because he still thinks he might be president some day

Rob Portman of Ohio

Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania

Jerry Moran of Kansas

Roy Blount of Missouri

Lamar Alexander of Tennessee

Roger Wicker of Mississippi

There they are in all their D.C. establishment glory, folks. Remember their names, and vote against them if you ever get the chance.

For his part, President Trump responded to the congressional taunt in typically hilarious and blunt fashion:

It’s a power he needs to use far more often. No better time to start than with this bit of Kabuki theater brought to his desk intentionally by Mitch McConnell and the open borders crowd in the GOP caucus.

Where GOP voters are concerned, a great line from the old “Pogo” comic strip comes to mind here:

Just Like 2012, Romney Folds Like a Cheap Suit

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

When desperate attention-seeking minor celebrities collide… – Those of you who remember when Ellen Barkin was an A-list actress are as old as I am, and that’s a fact. Now she’s a C-lister desperate for attention, which she, like so many of her C- and D-list colleagues, seeks on Twitter.

Yesterday, the C-lister decided that the best way to garner attention would be to go after bad comedian Louis CK, who is staging a comeback of sorts after he was revealed to be a serial sexual harasser by the whole #MeToo movement several months back.  During a performance over the weekend, Mr. CK (or is it just Mr. K? It’s so confusing), himself a shameless and desperate attention seeker, decided that a great way to draw attention in his direction would be say a bunch of really tasteless things about the attention-seeking kids – like the hopelessly tedious and annoying David Hogg – who survived the Parkland shooting early in 2018, and became CNN-celebrities as a result.  Here’s an outtake from that routine:

“These kids … What are you doing? You’re young, you should be crazy, you should be unhinged. Not in a suit saying ‘I’m here to …’ F*** you. You’re not interesting because you went to a high school where kids got shot. Why does that mean I have to listen to you? Why does that make you interesting? You didn’t get shot. You pushed some fat kid in the way and now I gotta’ listen to you talking,” the comedian said to thunderous laughter.

Ms. Barkin, being just another leftist idiot who thinks anyone who disagrees with her deserves to die, responded very, very, very predictably to Mr. CK, tweeting the following:

Now, Louis CK has made a career out of saying exactly this kind of outrageous thing about all manner of people in our society. He has literally spent the last 30 years of his life insulting and demeaning people for a living, and made a very good living doing it. Until yesterday, no leftist nutjob in America ever uttered a peep about any of it in protest. But let him go after a bunch of kids who CNN turned into a protected class because they want to take your guns away, and he is suddenly personna non grata.

I am told that Ms. Barkin has a regular gig on some hyper-violent TV show right now, a show that features  copious amounts of gun play. Why does that not surprise me? True to her character, Ms. Barkin’s Twitter rant went on throughout the day and became increasingly shrill and profane. You can read about it in the story linked above.

In any event, there are no heroes in this story, just a couple of shameless attention-seekers with very little socially-redeeming value going after one another in a very public and ugly circular firing squad. Anyone who supports their careers by paying to see Mr. CK’s comedy act or watching Ms. Barkin’s hyper-violent TV show gets what they deserve. Which obviously isn’t much.

Just like in 2012, Mitt Romney folds like a cheap suit. – Maybe it was the backlash of outrage emanating from the GOP base in the wake of his idiotic opinion piece in the Washington Post; perhaps it was President Trump’s refusal to take his bait; or maybe it was the Twitter tongue-lashing he received from his own niece who chairs the Republican National Committee:

Whatever the reason, Mitt Romney, the de facto RINO replacement for the blessedly retiring Jeff Flake, went on CNN yesterday with the execrable newsfaker Jake Tapper, and crawfished like a fry cook backing away from a flaming grill.  Here are some outtakes from that interview:

When asked by Tapper if he plans to challenge President Trump for the Republican presidential nomination, Romney responded:

“No. You may have heard I ran before. I’ve had that experience. And, by the way, I acknowledge the President was successful. And I was not. He did something I couldn’t do. He won. And I recognize that and appreciate that. But no, I’m not running again. And we’ll see whether someone else does in a Republican primary or not.”

Oh.  Then there was this:

“I would vote for the border wall. I’ve made that part of my platform for many, many years. I think we should have a border wall on our southern border, and whether it’s a wall or fence or technology and perhaps in some cases the natural landscape prevents people from coming in but we’ve got to secure our border.”

You don’t say?

Romney couldn’t resist going after the President’s character – because of course he couldn’t – but he even filled that very mild attack with all manner of conciliatory qualifiers:

“I think it’s very important for a president to demonstrate the qualities of integrity and honesty forthrightness, empathy and respect for the institutions of our democratic republic,” Romney said.  “I think those are all parts of the job.”

Romney agreed with the Trump administration “on a lot of policy fronts and salute the work that’s been done by the Republican leadership in Washington,” but admitted “there are places that relate to the — if you will, forming of national character — that I think we could do a better job.”

Romney next claimed that the President’s announcement that he would end the 7-year involvement of the U.S. in Syria’s ongoing civil war during the course of 2019 was the reason why he penned his disgraceful op/ed piece:

“And I think it’s important, as I begin this new job, to make it very clear where I stand. And I also note that the departure of Secretary (James) Mattis and the decision to pull out of Syria and the abrupt way it was done was a precipitating event for my finally going on this record.”

Yet, two days before Romney’s piece appeared in the WaPo, notorious warmonger Lindsey Graham had had a lunch discussion on that subject with President Trump and told the leering press that he felt “much better” about the President’s Syria strategy after having that face-to-face discussion with him. If Syria were really such a big concern to Romney, why wouldn’t he do as Graham did and request a one-on-one talk, which Mr. Trump would certainly have been happy to have?

The answer to that is obvious, isn’t it? Mitt’s WaPo grandstanding wasn’t about Syria at all – it was about drawing attention to himself and trying to position himself as a viable candidate for the presidency in 2020, should Trump decide not to seek a second term, or in 2024.

This really isn’t complicated, and Mitt Romney hasn’t changed a bit over the past seven years.

From our “This was Inevitable” files….

In the wake of Texas Longhorns’ mascot Bevo having a seeming altercation with Georgia Bulldogs’ mascot Uga prior to the Sugar Bowl game Tuesday night, the raving lunatics at PETA issed a press release yesterday demanding that both schools retire their live animal mascots.  No, really, I swear I do not make this stuff up:

“After the Georgia Bulldogs’ mascot, Uga X, was nearly trampled by the Texas Longhorns’ steer, Bevo XV, in Tuesday’s Allstate Sugar Bowl, PETA is renewing its call for both schools to end their use of live-animal mascots. The frightening encounter, in which Bevo broke free of the metal barricades he was caged within and ran in Uga’s direction, aired live just before the game.”

*sigh*

In case you missed it, here is a clip of the incident:

Awesome.

Hook ’em, ‘Horns!!!

Mitt Romney: Hillary Clinton in a Brooks Brothers Suit

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Replacing one flake with another. – Those of you who were despairing over the retirement of Jeff Flake from the U.S. Senate (yes, all three of you) had reason to cheer on Tuesday, because a white RINO knight rode in to fill the void.

His name is Mitt. He hails from Utah. He is a RINO like no other RINO – the only living RINO who ran such a feckless presidential campaign that he ensured a second term in office for America’s Worst Mistake, Barack Hussein Obama.

Combining all the most detestable traits of the RINO community – disloyalty, venality, massive hubris and an unending willingness to consort with the enemy for self-aggrandizement – Mitt authored a hit piece aimed at President Donald Trump in one of the nation’s foremost anti-Trump fake news organs, the Washington Post. In it, the two-time loooooooooser in presidential politics said that Mr. Trump “has not risen to the mantle of the office.” Hashtag, irony.

Romney went on to signal that he will be every bit as disloyal to the GOP cause as was his philosophical doppelganger, Flake: “I will support policies that I believe are in the best interest of the country and my state, and oppose those that are not.” In RINO-speak, this means that he will be just another shill for the open borders policies favored by the Wall Street Journal and Chamber of Commerce, and a supporter of U.S. involvement in unending civil wars in a variety of nations across the Middle East and Africa. Bill Kristol and Jonah Goldberg will be thrilled.

Mind you, Romney was thrilled to have Donald Trump’s endorsement during his failed presidential run in 2012, and was just fine with having a widely-publicized private dinner with then-President Elect Trump in his quest to gain the appointment as Secretary of State. Classically typical of any RINO, Romney’s “principles” are extremely malleable.

So, no surprises here – same old Mitt Romney. If you liked Mitt in 2012, you will absolutely love him in 2019, as he becomes a safe 48th vote in the Senate on key issues for the Democrat Party. As one writer headlined, “Mitt Romney Just Joined the Resistance.” He’s Hillary Clinton in a Brooks Brothers suit.

Refusing to take the bait… – This morning, President Donald Trump (I never tire of typing those three glorious words) had a policy-focused response to Romney’s taunt:

Fauxcahontas has a clear [war]path to the Democrat nomination. – The fake Indian senator from Massachusetts chose New Year’s Day to formally announce her run for the presidency, informing her mostly wealthy, white-bread supporters that she has formed an exploratory committee in that regard. She will now begin the process of raising big wampum for her campaign, including travels to early primary states like Iowa and New Hampshire where she will smoke the peace pipe around many campfires with her party’s local chiefs and high muckety-mucks.

Her campaign got off to a very Michael-Dukakis-riding-in-a-tank start with the release of the video below, which includes a tense hug with her husband, a struggle to pop the top on a bottle of beer, and some cooking, all very odd signals for a supposed leftwing feminist to be sending:

If you look closely, you might also notice what appears for all the world to be a figurine of “Sambo” atop the cabinet directly behind the civil rights crusader’s head. You seriously cannot make this stuff up.

Well, that’s one way to put it…

Man, I thought she was dead…

No matter how absurdly Mitt Romney behaves, he can never out-do this guy…

This is how CNN entertained its viewers on New Year’s Eve…

What a way to start the year, huh?

That is all.

Today Was a Breathtaking Display of the Democrats’ and Media’s Rank Hypocrisy

The Evening Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

In 2003, after it had become apparent that the U.S. and allied forces who had invaded Iraq to remove Saddam Hussein were not going to find the vaunted weapons of mass destruction that served as the pretense for justifying the invasion, the fake U.S. and international news media, in coordination with the Democrat Party, demonized the U.S. intelligence community for its apparent failure to properly assess the threat.  The employees and leaders of the CIA, DIA, FBI, NSA and all the myriad other alphabet agencies that make up the U.S. intel apparatus were called incompetent, deceptive, even traitors by the fake media/Democrat propaganda complex for leading our country into an unjustified war.

Of course, no apologies were forthcoming when it later became obvious that Saddam had indeed had a stockpile of WMDs that he spirited off to Syria in advance of the allied invasion.  The left never apologizes for anything since no one in the fake news media ever demands it of them.

Those of us who defended the intel community at the time were also called all sorts of names, including but not limited to “traitors”, by these same Democrats and their media agents.  Fifteen years later, many of us are old enough to still remember all of that.

So it was a bit of a marvel today to see the fake news media/Democrat propaganda complex – including many of the same players from 2003 – demonize not the U.S. intel community, but President Donald Trump and his supporters after Trump criticized those myriad alphabet agencies during his press conference with Vladimir Putin.  In 2003, we were all traitors if we didn’t condemn the U.S. intel community, and today we’re all traitors if we do criticize them.

And this is all about Russia.  Many of us are also old enough to remember way back in 2012, when Barack Obama snarkily told Mitt Romney during a debate that “The 1980s called and they want their foreign policy back.”  That was Obama’s response to Romney’s contention that Russia constituted one of America’s foremost foreign adversaries.

Wait, isn’t that what the Democrats are all screaming today?  I know, right?

Yes, it is, but this was in 2012, barely a year after Obama, Hillary, Comey and Mueller had all participated in the selling of 20% of America’s uranium reserves to a Russian company that was just a front for Vladimir Putin, so the Democrats in those days felt the need to pretend we have no issues with Russia.  Six years later, they know that Putin knows everything about what happened back then and during the 2016 elections, and now feel desperate to de-legitimize him in the public’s mind in case he starts talking.

So now Putin and Russia are almost our awfulest, worstest enemies in the current media/Democrat talking point manual, just below President Trump, who is in fact our premier awfulest, worstest enemy.  Because President Trump also knows everything about what happened back then and during the 2016 elections, and well, he’s the President of the United States and will presumably at some point demand that Jeff Sessions and the Justice Department do something about it.  Make sense?

So, when President Trump said in the press conference that Putin made a “forceful” denial of Russian intervention in those 2016 elections, that is suddenly the worst thing that’s ever, ever, ever happened in all of American history going back to Columbus.

But hey, it was no big deal at all when Barack Obama, after meeting with Putin in 2016 and raising the subject of meddling with him, said of Putin’s denials that “He denies it. So the idea that somehow public shaming is gonna be effective, I think doesn’t read the thought process in Russia very well.”  Because back in 2016, all the fake reporters and Democrats assumed Hillary Clinton was going to win the election and whatever really did take place would just all be swept under the rug anyway.

But now it’s 2018 and Vladimir Putin knows everything that happened and Donald Trump knows everything that happened, and the fake reporters who helped facilitate it all and the Democrats who participated in it all are utterly, completely panicked and lashing out like never before.

And so you get tweets like this from Obama CIA Director and longtime communist voter John Brennan:

And this, from former Clinton advisor Peter Dau:

And this from supposedly bed-ridden John McCain, who was complicit in promoting the fake Trump Dossier during the 2016 campaign:

That statement, by the way, is at least 300 words long and was released within an hour after the end of the press conference.  Seems like a man with the energy to fully analyze an hour log press conference and whip out a 300-word statement in real time like that might also have the energy to travel to Washington and do his job.  But I digress.

At any rate, as so often happens, President Trump issued a tweet on this very subject as I was typing this piece.  Here it is:

But as I pointed out this morning, the fake news media, the Democrats and war mongers like Sen. McCain cannot have this “get along” nonsense happen – they all make their livings and control their power through the perpetuation of conflict and civil strife and violence.

Donald Trump is a 72 year-old multi-billionaire who decided to give up his retirement years in order to try to make life better for Americans.  Sometimes, it’s hard to imagine why he bothers.

Just another day in Donald Trump is doing his job for America.

That is all.

Mike Murphy Rolls Out Another Example of NeverTrump Nitwittery

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Hey, everybody, Mike Murphy’s organized a new gig for himself, aren’t you excited?  Um, well, who’s this Mike Murphy, you ask? Are you kidding me?  You don’t know who Mike Murphy is?  Wow, where have you been?

Ok, seriously, there isn’t really much reason why you should have any idea who this guy is, unless you make a habit of studying epic failure.  Murphy, a guy who bills himself as “one of the Republican Party’s most successful political media consultants,” is so darn successful that he boasts a list of past clients that include failed 1996 presidential nominee Bob Dole, failed 2008 nominee John McCain, failed 2012 nominee Mitt Romney, and of course, epically failed 2016 GOP nomination candidate JEB!  Yes, that JEB!, the JEB! who wasted well over $150 million one one of the most hilariously awful media campaigns in modern times, the JEB! who began the race as the overwhelming favorite to claim the GOP nomination and ended up having to pull out after the South Carolina primary without having even come close to winning a single contest.

Yes, this is THAT Mike Murphy.  That guy.

This is the Mike Murphy who last August told CNN’s fake interviewer Chris Cillizza that “Post-election Donald Trump will be alone, despised by his own party, a failure rebuked by the nation, and politically neutered even more than he is today.”  Today, 7 months later, Donald Trump has a job-approval rating higher than Barack Obama held at the same point in his first term in office, is supported by about 85% of the GOP voter base, has accomplished more in his first 14 months in office than any modern president and is presiding over a booming economy that is achieving 3% growth quarter after quarter and is nearing full employment.

This Mike Murphy guy will never make a living as a sooth-sayer.  I’d say he should keep his day job if he weren’t such a failure at it.

But Mike Murphy clearly has a talent, and that talent happens to be convincing high-profile Republican political candidates to let him waste millions and millions of their dollars on epically-failed media campaigns.  Just ask Meg Whitman, who let Murphy waste $150 million of her own money on an utterly failed run for California governor in 2010.

So, why am I talking about Mike Murphy this morning?  Because Mr. Murphy has decided that President Trump needs to face a GOP opponent in the 2020 Republican nomination contest, and he is just the guy to manage the campaign to mount that challenge.  To that end, the self-absorbed clown has formed what he is calling the “NeverTrump War Room,” from which he will presumably raise a bunch of money from the same class of big-money idiots who funded his JEB! brainchild, and which he will use to attract some political juggernaut – like Arizona Senator Jeff Flake and his 18% constituent job approval rating – to challenge the incumbent President in his pursuit of a second term.

Bragging that “after 30 years in politics I’ve seen how fast support can crumble,” – a personal talent to which Dole, McCain, Romney, Whitman and JEB! can certainly attest – Murphy speculates that all the agonisties currently tormenting the President will turn out to be just too much for rank and file Republicans to take come 2020, and they will be pining for a new candidate to lead them out of the low-tax, 3% economic growth and 3% unemployment “wilderness” that NeverTrump morons so detest.

When that happens, Mike Murphy plans to be right there waiting, with a NeverTrump war chest overflowing with money to be wasted on some famous white guy who sounds suspiciously like…wait for it…oh, you have to wait for this one…MITT ROMNEY!  I’m not kidding – here it is in Murphy’s own words from his Politico column of March 28:

“Who could run? It’s far too early to name names, but for a tested, highly competent potential contender with immaculate conservative credentials, I’d keep an eye on political developments in Utah.”

But hey, if the GOP voter base turns out to not exactly be pining for a rerun of Romney’s stunningly inept campaign of 2012, Murphy has another model for the perfect candidate, who unsurprisingly sounds exactly like Sen. Flake, who became so detested by voters in his home state he decided to not even seek re-election:

“Another potential archetype would be a candidate promising a return to conservative ideological purity after three big-spending years of braying populism. There is no shortage of potential “real conservatives”—many promising generational change as well—itching to run for president.”

It is this special kind of “genius” – the kind that can continue to milk lame-brained wealthy Republican donors of millions and millions of dollars with promises of this kind of epic failure-in-the-making – that sets Mike Murphy apart from his competitors.  You know, those competitors who actually like to win elections from time to time.

So, will Murphy succeed in his goal to raise another couple hundred million to waste on yet another epic failure in 2020?  The smart money says there is plenty of stupid money out there to allow Murphy to extend his epic losing streak.

The smart money also says that President Trump isn’t real concerned about the NeverTrump War Room.  In fact, he probably welcomes it, since it shows his enemies in the Republican Party still have no clue whatsoever.

Just another day in NeverTrump nitwittery America.

That is all.
