Wednesday News Roundup: Sadly, Christopher Wray is Not Resigning and Trump Lashes out at William Barr

Will MSNBC and CNN correctly call this a “peaceful protest”? – Because that’s what happened in New York City last night as the latest anti-Jew Covid-19 edicts issued by Bill de Blasio and Andrew Cuomo resulted in hundreds of Jewish citizens there taking to the streets to protest:

The crowd assembled after Governor Cuomo singled out the city’s Jewish community at a press conference, threatening them that he would “shut down the synagogues” if they don’t get in line with his and Herr de Blasio’s (real name: Warren Wilhelm) new restrictions on crowd size at public facilities. The gathering took place in the Borough Park neighborhood of Brooklyn, which, as I pointed out a couple of days ago, is one of the city’s traditionally Jewish areas.

The new restrictions and business shut-downs go into place on Friday, although Herr Wilhelm said late in the day that his people will start enforcing some of them Thursday evening.

This is America, 2020.

When Twitter becomes the best tool available for communicating the truth. – After Michelle Obama put out a heinously slanderous video smearing President Donald Trump and claiming that the BLM riots are actually “peaceful” events, twitter user Tim Young created this handy side-by-side mashup of the former First Lady speaking while her BLM pals burned several cities to the ground:

I’ve been writing about politics for 34 years now, and have always done my best to avoid commenting negatively about First Ladies. But Michelle Obama is just an utterly shameless and shameful human being.

Speaking of shameless and shameful BLM lovers… – Television ratings for the BLMBA finals have fallen off the proverbial cliff this season, after the national thug league went in whole-hog to associate itself with the violent, Marxist terrorist group.

From a report at Outkick.com:

The Lakers-Heat 2020 NBA Finals have been a disaster.

Game 3 failed to reach even 6 million viewers, according to ShowBuzzDaily. It is the least-watched NBA Finals game on record.

Each game has broken another all-time low. Game 1 recorded the lowest Finals opener ever, at 7.41 million. Game 2 set another new low of 6.6 million viewers,* a record that lasted only two days.

Viewership for Game 3 is down an unprecedented 58% from last year’s Finals, which featured a team from Canada.

With a marquee match-up between the Lakers and the Heat and the league’s biggest draw in LeBron James, a drop of almost 60% is inexcusable.

The NBA decision to embrace far-left propaganda is the leading cause for the historic declines in viewership.

[End]

It’s not exactly a case of “get woke, go broke” just yet, since this current batch of BLMBA players have already been made fabulously wealthy by the country they all hate so much. But these plummeting ratings are kryptonite to the team owners, and will make the upcoming negotiations over the league’s next TV contracts extremely interesting.

If nobody’s watching, ain’t nobody gonna be willing to pay them bills.

Don’t get too excited about this… – Rumors are flying this morning that FBI Director Christopher Wray is going to resign today, which would be a blessed event for the Republic. But that’s highly unlikely, as this worthless apparatchik cherishes nothing more than a steady, if highly-inflated, paycheck. He won’t be giving that up easily.

The rumors started after the glorified HR director called a press conference for this morning:

Far from being a resignation event, there’s about a 98% chance that Wray will use this appearance before a fawning press corps as another opportunity to recite DNC-written talking points about illusory Russian interference in the elections and fantasies about “white supremacist groups” being the real cause of all the Democrat-sponsored riots that have taken place since on a daily basis since June. It’s all entirely predictable and not even worth your time to watch.

Nothing to see here – move along.

Not much to see here, either. – President Trump set Twitter all a-twitter last night with this missive:

Twitter’s users on both ends of the political spectrum went wild, and all the Usual Suspect fake news outlets treated the tweet as if it was actual news. The trouble is, the President issued the exact same order a year and a half ago, giving Attorney General “full authority” to declassify every Obamagate-related document.

What has Barr done with that authority? The correct answer is “as close to nothing as humanly possible.” Indeed, were it not for the stellar efforts of Ric Grenell and current Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe, virtually zero declassification of key documents would have occurred since that time.

Someone must have reminded the President of his prior order, because a couple of hours later, he tweeted this:

Hilariously, just a little bit later, he also re-tweeted this missive directed at Barr:

The truth is that it is all far too little, far too late, and none of it will matter unless President prevails on November 3.

Here is NBC News, perpetrating yet another fraud on the American public. – When one political party owns the news media, here is the kind of stuff that happens. As I mentioned yesterday, NBC awarded the Biden/Harris campaign with a $50 million campaign gift of free air time Monday night in the form of a “town hall” meeting in which the Unfrozen Caveman Candidate was questioned by supposedly “undecided” voters.

Of course, as would have been the case on CNN or CBS or ABC or probably even Fox News at this point, none of the voters were “undecided” at all.

From a story at the New York Post:

Two “undecided” voters who appeared on an NBC News town hall with Joe Biden that has been described as an “infomercial” for the Democratic nominee had earlier voiced their support for the former vice president on MSNBC, according to a report.

Peter Gonzalez and Ismael Llano posed questions to the Democratic presidential nominee at the town hall Monday in Miami as part of an “audience of undecided Florida voters.”

Both Gonzalez and Llano appeared on MSNBC in August to show their support for Biden, the Washington Free Beacon reported on Tuesday.

“If we get four more years of Trump, good luck, and good luck with the future attracting younger voters,” Gonzalez said on MSNBC.

He and Llano were identified as “voting for Biden.”

“Something that Joe Biden said during his speech that resonated with me was what defines America is a possibility,” Llano said in the same broadcast.

At the town hall, NBC News’ anchor Lester Holt said Llano “voted for Hillary Clinton four years ago but has voted Republican in the past.”

William Barr has two More Major Investigations to Conduct: Netflix and the Mueller Criminal Conspiracy

Barr has miles to go before he sleeps. – As if William Barr didn’t have enough on his plate, the past week saw the rise of two new major areas of investigation his department needs to conduct.

The release by Netflix of what can only be described as the streaming service’s entry into the child pornography market – a shoddy piece of trash called “Cuties” – clearly mandates that AG Barr sic his the FBI’s child porn and trafficking unit on Barack and Michelle Obama’s employer. Oh, and did you remember that Susan Rice sits on the board of directors of this company? Quite the coincidences there, huh?

Possibly the lone remaining semi-honest Democrat public figure, Tulsi Gabbard, is so disgusted by the movie that she decided to take on the leftist Perpetual Outrage Mob (which is not at all enraged about Neflix distributing child porn) by tweeting this yesterday:

The FBI arrests hundreds of oily-haired, slushie-sipping perverts every year for having images like that one on their hard drives. But let the Democrat Party-endorsed Netflix put out a film that graphically portrays 11 year-old girls being abused by adults, and, well, it’s all ok. Because, see, the Democrat Party and it corrupt toadies in the news media and entertainment industry have been trying to brainwash you into normalizing pedophilia in your society for several years now. This film is just the next step in that effort.

“Cuties,” by the way, won an award for directing last year at the Sundance Film Festival. Barr’s investigation should also be extended to the participants in that effort to distribute child porn as well.

As if that weren’t enough to put on DOJ’s plate, the revelation this week that utterly corrupt U.S. Attorney Andrew Weissman and his gang of American Gestapo thugs “accidentally” wiped at least 27 cell phones that contained their communications related to the investigation is about as blatant an instance of abuse of power and obstruction of justice as our nation has ever seen. Weissman and his charges claimed they “accidentally” wiped their phones by entering “incorrect passcodes,” a claim so lame that even the mentally declining Robert Mueller himself would be able to see through it.

To understand how literally unbelievable this excuse happens to be, check out this finding by an enterprising Twitter user who tried to replicate Weissman’s claim with his own IPhone:

Yes, friends, Weissman is claiming that he “accidentally” wiped his phone via a process that involves nine steps and takes over an hour and a half to accomplish. That’s quite the “accident” right there.

This is public fraud on a grand scale. It is as corrupt as corruption in government gets, which is no surprise given that Weissman was involved. The simple fact of the matter is that the Mueller Investigation, like operations Spygate and Obamagate before it, was an outright criminal enterprise. Every day that passes without a single indictment of any of the wrongdoers of any of those involved in those criminal enterprises only serves to destroy the public’s faith in the American system of justice.

Where are you, John Durham? What in the world are you actually doing?

That is all.

Democrats Stage a Predictably Depraved Opening Night

The Democrat master plan for the last four years comes full circle. – Actress Eva Longoria kicked off last night’s Democrat National Convention by complaining that “the last four years have left us diminished and divided.” No doubt, many other depraved speakers at this convention will make the same complaint. Indeed, the “Trump the divider” canard has been one of the communist Democrat Party’s main themes for the last four years.

So, here we see the overriding Democrat plan conceived the day after Election Day in November, 2016, arriving at full circle:

– Lose the election;

– Spend the next 4 years doing everything you can to divide the nation, even to the extent of creating a domestic terrorist organization, Antifa, to stage violent, deadly riots whenever the party believes it is politically convenient;

– And then complain about the nation being divided at the 2020 convention.

It’s really elegant in its simplicity.

Think of just some of the ways in which the communist Democrats have tirelessly worked to divide this nation over the duration of the Trump presidency:

– They attempted to rig the 2016 election via the efforts of a White House-led coup cabal operating within the Department of Justice, CIA and FBI;

– They and their corrupt media toadies have steadfastly refused to accept the results of the 2016 elections, despite Trump’s lopsided margin in the Electoral College;

– They had the Director of the FBI attempt to entrap the new President in an obstruction of justice violation;

– They had Rod Rosenstein hire a corrupt former FBI director to take over the entire DOJ as “special counsel”;

– They had that corrupt former FBI director stage a blatant effort to execute a coup d’etat;

– Even after that corrupt former FBI director issued a report fully exonerating the President of any wrongdoing, they have kept up the “Russia collusion” drumbeat in the media;

– They held the nation captive for five solid months while staging an impeachment farce using a completely made-up Ukraine-related non-scandal;

– For more than a year, they funded and organized massive “caravans” of Central American migrants to flood our southern border in a concerted effort to overwhelm our government’s ability to deal with the problem;

– They spent the last 4 years slandering the President as a “racist”, often deploying images of migrants in “cages” that were captured during the Obama administration;

– They have spent every waking day since January undermining the Trump administration’s efforts to deal with the China Virus;

– And they have spent this entire summer staging and funding riots on the streets of communist Democrat-run cities all across the country.

Former first lady Michelle Obama also spoke along the same themes, at one point saying this: “What’s going on this country is just not right,” she added. “This is not who we want to be.”

Well, she’s right about that isn’t she? I mean, no thinking person should want to live in a country in which communist Democrats fund and organize violent riots night after night after night that turn major cities into hellish third-world worthy landscapes. No thinking person should want to live in a country where demented Millennials and Gen-Zers or whatever they are called spend every waking hour screaming at one another on social media.

No thinking person should want to live in states where depraved communist Democrat governors intentionally destroy businesses, throw millions out of jobs and keep children out of school in a blatant effort to influence an election. No thinking person should want to live in a country where a person can lose their livelihoods for simply expressing a dissenting opinion in the workplace. No thinking person should want to live in a country in which one party has politicized literally ever facet of public and private life.

So, you’re totes right, Michelle, but you should take a long look in the mirror before preaching along these lines.

If you didn’t already understand the true nature of the communist Democrats, you might think it inconceivable that any group of Americans would truly plan and behave in that manner. But readers here at Today’s Campaign Update do understand that this is exactly how their depraved minds work; thus, to you, it all makes perfect sense, right?

Right.

Get ready for three more nights of this despicable nonsense, because it is just the kind of depraved, demented, disgusting, disgraceful, despicable people these communist Democrats truly are.

If that makes you as angry as it makes me each and every day, good. That’s exactly the way we all need to feel  when we go to the polls on Tuesday, November 3.

That is all.

The Democrats are Running out of Time on Their Hidin’ Biden Farce

Even Biden’s potential running mates are starting to lose patience with his inability form ideas into sentences. – Check out Elizabeth Warren actually rolling her eyes as Biden bumbles around to catch a thought that zooms into and out of his noggin:

Which brings us to this little nugget from Dan Bongino:

If you’re surprised by this, you are a new reader at Today’s Campaign Update. Given that their faux “convention” is just barely two weeks away, the Democrats obviously do have a huge decision to make where Biden is concerned. Do they draft Obama to go to his former Vice President and tell him the game is over and he must withdraw for the good of the Party? Or do they just brazenly tough it out with the Hidin’ Biden strategy and keep their “candidate” closeted up in his basement all the way through Election Day?

Many people think that drafting a new nominee and mounting a campaign with him or her would be a fairly simple thing, but it wouldn’t be. For one thing, there’s the money question. Biden has raised several hundred million dollars for his campaign, and that money is not transferable to a different nominee. Thus, a Hillary Clinton or Michelle Obama or Andrew Cuomo would have to basically start from scratch against an opponent, President Donald Trump, who has already raised over half a billion dollars for his own campaign.

That’s a huge hill to climb, folks.

Then there’s the question of how you mount a campaign without doing in-person rallies of any real size, and while refusing to debate your opponent. We have to understand that this factor is precisely why the Democrats have so fiercely fought to keep our economy depressed and shut down: They are perfectly willing to keep millions of Americans out of work and to destroy millions of small businesses if it means they have a rationale to deny the President his ability to conduct public rallies.

Will the public buy it when Biden says he refuses to debate the President because he might – gasp! – lie during a debate? Think about how independent voters, for whom these debates actually are staged every four years, would react to that excuse. It’s a giant risk for the Democrats to take.

But it may indeed be a necessary one for the Party to try. Biden has clearly declined rapidly over the past 16 months, and he was already obviously impaired when he entered the race last April. This is a man who cannot hold a simple press conference without holding a list of pre-selected “reporters” to call on, reporters who have been selected by Biden’s handlers because they have promised to avoid tough questions.

Biden struggles to read a short speech from a TelePrompter now, and is unsteady on  his feet. These are the major reasons why the Democrats have gone to such epic lengths to ensure that party conventions had to become virtual events. We should not be surprised if they even come up with some pretense for Biden’s virtual acceptance speech to be pre-recorded rather than a live delivery so that his gaffes can be carefully edited out.

With recent polling showing that Biden’s voter enthusiasm levels have tanked to historic lows not seen since the days of Walter Mondale, the Democrat/Media axis of disinformation is even going to find it increasingly difficult to keep rolling out the fake polls and have anyone believe them. There is increasing chatter at social gatherings and across social media about the dearth of Biden yard signs, bumper stickers and other campaign paraphernalia appearing anywhere in the country.

When people can see with their own eyes that literally no one they know is a Biden supporter, and their Democrat acquaintances laugh whenever his name is brought up, the pretense of fake polls showing him with double-digit leads loses any real impact. In fact, at this point it is safe to say that the media/pollster campaign to depress Trump voter enthusiasm has been an abject, miserable failure.

But here’s the thing about all of this: Biden has made it clear that he’s going to announce his running mate selection this week. Once he crosses that threshold, it becomes even more difficult for the Party to kick him off to the curb.

It’s a real conundrum for the party leaders, and the reality is that actually don’t have an alternative who is all that attractive. Abandoning Biden now, after all of the promises he has made to get the party’s various factions on board with his candidacy, would inevitably cause massive splits in the party’s demented voter base, with the new candidate having barely two months to try to bring them all back into the fold.

The Democrat convention begins on August 17, two weeks from today. Those two weeks are going to be incredibly interesting.

That is all.

The Key to Predicting the Democrat Race: Learning the Real Lessons of History

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

It’s very predictable that Jeff Greenfield can’t predict anything accurately. – Dinosaur DC Swamp creature Jeff Greenfield had a typically vapid piece in Politico on Sunday that sums up the sorry  state of media punditry in the nation’s capital quite nicely. It’s a piece filled to the gills with the tiresome nostrums and shibboleths adhered to by the DC pundit class, and thus exactly what we would expect to see published in Politico.

Greenfield, who bills himself as “a five-time Emmy-winning network television analyst and author,” has been completely wrong about everything since the day in June, 2015 when Donald Trump and Melania rode down the escalator at Trump Tower to announce his candidacy. Frustrated by his own foolish consistency, Greenfield assumes that, because he is an awarded “expert,” everyone else must be wrong as well. Thus the title of his piece, “Why You’re Wrong About the Democratic Primary.”

The thesis of Greenfield’s piece is itself highly predictable, and not just because of its headline. It’s also utterly predictable that a guy who is always wrong – like Greenfield – would pen a piece claiming everyone else is just like he is. After all, didn’t every “expert” predict about 500 times between May, 2015 and May 2016 that Trump’s campaign was dead, and that some random event represented the “beginning of the end for Donald Trump” like Greenfield did?

Didn’t every “expert”, inside-the-beltway pundit predict that Hillary Clinton would best Trump by a landslide? Didn’t every “expert” in our fake national news media predict about 300 times between Robert Mueller’s appointment as Special Counsel in May, 2017 and the issuance of his report in March, 2019 that “Robert Mueller has got the goods on Trump?”

Well…yeah. Yeah, they all did predict all of those things. Greenfield even admits as much waaaaaayyyy down at the bottom of his piece where, after writing 800 words of drivel about how the “lessons of history” tell us that nothing about this current nomination battle is in any way predictable, he says:

In 2016, Donald Trump, a candidate with no political experience and no measurable support from his party’s establishment, never trailed in the polls and was never seriously threatened during his campaign for the nomination. Based on the lessons of history, Trump’s inevitable fall was confidently predicted by journalists and insiders, even as he racked up primary victories and delegates.

So, if Greenfield is talking exclusively about inside-the-beltway DC media “expert” pundits, then his piece would be accurate. But if – as the headline appears to imply – he’s also talking about seasoned observers who have never lived inside-the-beltway bubble and who understand how the 99% of the country outside of the nation’s capital works, then Greenfield is massively wrong.

The problem with DC pundits is not that they rely on the lessons of history, but that they don’t understand what those lessons of history happen to be. I was telling my clients in December of 2015 that Donald Trump was almost 100% certain to be the eventual GOP nominee due to one simple lesson of history about the GOP, which is that, since the advent of polling just after World War II, that party has always, without fail, ended up nominating the candidate who led in the polls in the December prior to the election. DC pundits were uniformly shocked as a class that that immutable lesson of history continued to hold true in 2016.

In May, 2016, I told a gathering of about 30 corporate CEOs and other senior executives that Donald Trump would probably win the general election due to another simple lesson of history, which is that every presidential election is determined by the overriding national public mood, i.e., is the public interested in change or is it wanting to preserve the status quo? The public in 2016, after 8 long years of oppressive, economy-dampening regulation by the Obama thugs, was definitely in a mood for change, even the radical change being offered by Donald Trump.

This was at a time when Greenfield and his fellow media “experts” were myopically predicting a Clinton landslide based on an array of polls they all knew were flawed at best and intentionally faked at worst.

But back to the Democrat nomination race. We can’t sit here today and confidently predict who the nominee will be – Greenfield is right about that. In fact, because of the proportional system of awarding delegates the Dems have adopted for the election cycle, we may not be able to do that until next year’s convention rolls around.

But there are all sorts of things that are very easy to accurately predict about this race at this point in time, most of them based on “lessons of history” that Greenfield and other media “experts” seem incapable of grasping.

Here’s a lesson of history: No candidate who lacks a compelling basis for entering the race in the first place is going to become the eventual nominee. See Gillibrand, Kirsten as a prime example. That desperate, humiliating video we saw of her pandering in an Iowa gay bar on Saturday was pretty much an inevitable outcome for a candidate who has literally no reason to be in this race to begin with. This same lesson applies to other mystery candidates like Bill DeBlasio, John Delaney and Steve Bullock (who is the Governor of Montana, for those 99% of you who have never heard of him). All these people and several others who have no compelling reason to run might as well go home now.

Here’s another lesson of history: Failure to strike while the political iron is hot can be fatal. See O’Rourke, Irish Bob as this year’s best example. The fake news media was in love with “Beto” and desperately wanted him to get into the race last December, January at the latest. I wrote way back in January that Irish Bob was missing his moment, but did he listen? Nooooooo. Irish Bob piddled around for another two months before finally coming out as a candidate, and by then his date to the media prom had been taken by Mayor Pete. Now, Texas Dems, seeing O’Rourke’s candidacy dead in the water, are desperate for him to come back to Texas and challenge John Cornyn for the U.S. senate seat.

How about this lesson of history: Age matters, and it matters a ton for some of these people. Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders are simply too old to be president of the United States. Neither will be the party’s nominee. Mayor Pete is simply too young. He won’t be the nominee, either, although he will be able to compete in the primaries and carry enough delegates into next year’s convention to be a bit of a power broker if no clear nominee emerges from the primary elections.

One final lesson of history: The nominee will always be someone who is in step with the party’s voter base. We have to caveat this one this time due to the proportional awarding of delegates, which creates an unusually-high potential for a brokered convention where you might see a compromise candidate like the Pantsuit Princess or Michelle Obama or even Oprah Winfrey emerge. But the candidate who will emerge from the primary elections with the most accumulated delegates will be the person who can most authentically play the party’s identity politics game, enthusiastically support the party’s lurch to outright infanticide, and keep the party’s irrational social media mob ginned up. This very dynamic is why you are seeing Elizabeth Warren’s polling numbers firming up slowly as the race goes on.

In addition to being too old, Biden simply has no ability to satisfy this final lesson. He won’t be the nominee. If he is, then we would be looking at a Trump landslide of 1984 proportions, as a discouraged and dissatisfied Democrat voter base stays home in droves on Election Day.

Jeff Greenfield and the other DC media “experts” think I’m wrong about all of this. What do you think?

That is all.

Saturday Scattershooting While Waiving Bye-Bye To Tom Price

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

  • Well, she was talking about those ‘other’ women – Michelle Obama said that “any woman who voted against Hillary Clinton voted against their own voice.”  No word from the former First Lady on what she was doing during the 2008 Democrat nominating contest when she actively campaigned for a mean ol’ man against Mrs. Clinton and presumably voted for her husband rather than her “own voice” in the Illinois primary that year.
  • Tired of winning yet?  Part 1 – all the stock indexes closed at all-time record highs yet again on Friday, as the U.S. economy continues to hum along in response to the Trump Administration’s ongoing program to remove the shackles of unnecessary soviet-style regulations that were piled onto it during the Obama years.  This has happened so often during the last 8 months that it has become passe’ to even mention it.  But there, I mentioned it.
  • Tired of winning yet?  Part II – U.S. GDP for the 2nd quarter of 2017 was raised to a final estimate of 3.1% on Friday, the highest quarterly rate of economic growth in many years.  If you want to know why, see the bit about removal of soviet-style regulations above.  This is not exactly rocket science.
  • Because that’s what happens when a Republican charges taxpayers $1 million in air travel in just 8 months – To literally nobody’s surprise, President Trump fired HHS Secretary Tom Price Friday afternoon, after it had been revealed that he felt his entire job was to fly in high style all over the damn world every week at exorbitant taxpayer expense.  He apparently didn’t break any laws, and he didn’t do anything myriad Obama officials had not done the past 8 years, but unlike Democrat presidencies, Republican administrations must hold their people accountable for this kind of behavior.  Mr. Price apparently didn’t understand that, which means he was too dumb to hold a secretarial position in the first place.
  • I wrote on Thursday about my belief that the just-begun effort by the GOP establishment leadership in congress to move a tax reform bill is just a Kabuki dance, and that the outcome is already fore-ordained to be a McConnell/Ryan joint presser in December in which they tell us all they did their best but they just ran out of time.  If you don’t believe that, read the piece linked here in The Hill, in which various House Republicans are already speculating how the bill will ultimately be killed in the Senate, maybe by the same group of RINOs who killed the Obamacare bill.
  • Hell, you’ve even got the Chairman of Senate Finance, Utah Senator Orin Hatch – who is likely to retire next year, and thus never have to face the voters again – talking about ways to kill the effort in public.  The probable truth is that Mitch McConnell already has 8 or 9 members of his GOP caucus who can be counted on to vote against any version of a tax reform bill if he needs them.
  • They’ll couch their votes with objections like Hatch’s, i.e., “I feel very strongly we need to preserve that wonderful deduction for state and local taxes, oh my”.  Maybe Susan Collins’ objection will be her strong feeling that we need to give a special tax credit to any woman who seeks an abortion at Planned Parenthood clinics;  Lamar Alexander might want to preserve some special tax break for his state’s whiskey distillers; Lisa Murkowski might feel strongly about the need to preserve some tax program that benefits polar bears; John McCain might think he’s voting on the EPA appropriations bill rather than a tax bill;  regardless, the three GOP ‘no’ votes needed to kill this thing are already out there in some combination of senators or another.
  • I hate to be the bearer of this bad news because we really do need to reform our absurd tax system, but watching this all play out is like going to a movie whose previews have already revealed the final scene.  You already know how it’s going to end, but you go anyway just to see the details of how it all plays out.

Just another day in GOP congressional Kabuki dance America.

That is all.
