The Kennedy Center and the FBI: America’s Twin Towers of Disgrace

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

The damn thing should just be imploded after this. – What does one say about the people who run the Kennedy Center, other than they all need to have their sorry butts kicked? Let’s review the timeline of that national disgrace over the last 10 days:

– Nancy Pelosi single-handedly holds up a $2 Trillion stimulus bill for a week – thus delaying for a week any benefits going to ordinary people who really needed the money as fast as possible – in part so she can lard it up with a $25 million bailout for the creeps at the Kennedy Center.

– That bill finally passed early afternoon on Friday.

– About 90 minutes after it passed the House of Representatives, the Kennedy Center management sends out a memo notifying all of their contract musicians that they have been laid off.

– On Tuesday, just three days later, Kennedy Center management sends out another memo notifying all of the support staff for the National Symphony Orchestra that they have also been laid off.

This is a national disgrace, and everyone involved should be fired and replace by human beings who actually possess souls.

Meanwhile, at the FBI… – It normally takes DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz about 14 months to tie his shoelaces. This is the single most plodding, delaying, not-in-any-hurry-to-get-anything-done man in a city that is just filled with men and women with that same attitude towards their work.

Normally, nothing phases this guy. The DOJ/FBI cabal during the Obama era illegally spied on the Trump campaign and transition team? No biggie. Let’s take our sweet time looking into that one.

That same cabal frames General Mike Flynn and tries to do the same to President Donald Trump? Ah, what’s the big deal? Let’s spend 2 years looking into that one.

Peter Strzok, Andrew McCabe and James Comey all committed multiple counts of perjury, and Comey and McCabe were sharing national secrets with the New York Times and Washington Post? Yawn. We’ll get to that one next year.

Let’s put it this way: Mr. Horowitz does not understand the concept of swift and timely justice, nor his own role in making sure that such a thing takes place in our society. He has spent the last 3 years doing little other than gumming up the works at DOJ, doing his best to ensure the passage of time dims public memories about all the rampant corruption at that Department, especially within the FBI.

Thus, it came as a bit of surprise that Mr. Horowitz chose to rush out a new, unexpected report this week, in which he found that FBI agents of all shapes and sizes and in locations all over America casually violated the FISA law in all 29 applications his team audited from 2014 through 2019.

Every. Damn. One. Of. Them.

From a report at National Review:

The Justice Department inspector general said it does “not have confidence” in the FBI’s FISA application process following an audit that found the Bureau was not sufficiently transparent with the court in 29 applications from 2014 to 2019, all of which included “apparent errors or inadequately supported facts.”

Inspector General Michael Horowitz released a report in December which found that the FBI included “at least 17 significant errors or omissions in the Carter Page FISA applications and many errors in the Woods Procedures” during its Crossfire Hurricane investigation of the 2016 Trump campaign. After releasing the report, Horowitz said that he would conduct a further investigation to see if the errors identified in the Page application were widespread.

Horowitz’s office said in a report released Tuesday that of the 29 applications — all of which involved U.S. citizens – that were pulled from “8 FBI field offices of varying sizes,” the FBI could not find Woods Files for four of the applications, while the other 25 all had “apparent errors or inadequately supported facts.”

[End]

Note the key fact in this passage: That Horowitz’s audit included cases that were pulled from FBI field offices all over the damn country, and thus involved FBI agents of all ranks and positions.

The next time you hear the increasingly irritating Sean Hannity tell you how wonderful and non-corrupt the FBI’s “rank and file” are, turn off your radio or change channels on your television, because you are being lied to.

Attorney General William Barr naturally responded to this latest Horowitz report with a feckless, meaningless statement touting the “reforms” that worthless bureaucrat FBI Director Christopher Wray has supposedly implemented in the agency’s approach to the FISA process:

Image

It’s important to note that the FISA law, which expired on March 15, has still not been renewed, thanks to congress’s attention being focused solely on dealing with its various stimulus bills. While AG Barr still hopes to have it renewed with no changes to the statute, this new report from Horowitz is going to make that outcome extremely unlikely to come about.

Finally, at long last, Mr. Horowitz has done a real and timely public service.

As for the FBI, the only way to really fix that steaming cesspit of corruption is to completely disband it and reconstitute a new federal investigative agency. The roots of the Bush/Obama, Mueller/Comey-era corruption there are just too firmly and deeply embedded in the muck to ever really be cleaned up.

That is all.

Christopher Wray Wants to Keep the FBI’s Raging Dumpster Fire Burning

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

This guy has got to go. – Some folks just need firing, and FBI Director Christopher Wray is the poster child for that reality. The FBI was a raging dumpster fire under James Comey, and nothing has changed under the worthless apparatchik who was appointed by President Trump on the advice of Rod Rosenstein and Jeff Sessions to succeed him.

If anything, Wray appears to want to just keep stoking the flames of that dumpster fire to higher levels, which he managed to succeed at doing with two moves late this past week.

First, Wray filed an inexcusable response to the December demand by lead FISA Court judge Rosemary Collyer (who has since resigned) that the FBI take action to prevent future abuses of the FISA warrant process. Collyer’s letter was issued in reaction to the December 11 report by DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, which revealed massive wrongdoing by higher-ups in the Comey-era FBI in their efforts to spy on the Trump Campaign, Trump Transition Team and Trump Administration.

Wray’s proposed “solution” to the blatant abuse of process by myriad FBI officials is to…wait for it…mandate more training. Yeah, just what you’d expect from a useless bureaucrat who would be more at home in some corporate Human Resources department than in leading what is supposed to be the nation’s premier law enforcement agency.

Making matters worse, the letter sent to the FISA Court on Friday was signed by Wray and…wait for it again…utterly corrupt FBI lawyer Dana Boente, who actually signed one of the four FISA applications that was used to facilitate the Comey FBI’s spying operation. You seriously cannot make this stuff up:

As if that weren’t despicable and indefensible enough, Wray compounded this insult to basic public integrity by appointing former assistant attorney general for national security David S. Kris to oversee the FBI’s fancy new training program. Kris, if anything, is even more corrupt than Boente, a guy with Spygate basically tatooed on his forehead.

This is a guy who, in addition to being a noted Obama loyalist, is also associated with the scumbags at Lawfare, the group that has provide the contract lawyers who have planned, managed and driven the Schiff/Pelosi/Nadler impeachment scam.

As reported by the Daily Caller:

Kris was also among the many pundits dismissive of Republican allegations that the FBI mishandled information in the Steele dossier. One of Kris’s main targets was Nunes, a California Republican who relentlessly pursued information from the FBI about the Trump-Russia probe.

In his March 1, 2018, essay at Lawfare, Kris wholeheartedly defended the FBI’s actions in the Trump-Russia probe, while criticizing Nunes over a memo he released Feb. 2, 2018, laying out a list of alleged problems with the FBI’s rationale to surveil Page.

Kris asserted that Nunes “falsely accused the FBI of deceiving the FISA Court.” He also questioned whether Nunes and other Republicans would “face any consequences for their dishonesty.”

“The Nunes memo was dishonest. And if it is allowed to stand, we risk significant collateral damage to essential elements of our democracy,” wrote Kris, who is now a consultant at Culper Partners and frequent guest on MSNBC.

Kris went as far as entertaining the possibility, first proposed by Harvard law professor Laurence Tribe, that “Nunes might be prosecuted for obstruction of justice.”

Kris also wrote that the memo’s central claim that the FBI misled the FISC about Christopher Steele “was not true.”

Oh. Ok.

But, in a transparently fake move designed to justify receiving his assignment from Wray, Kris has had a sudden fake “change of heart”:

Kris has acknowledged since the release of the IG report that the FBI committed some “significant and serious” errors in its Carter Page FISA applications. He also conceded in a Lawfare essay published Dec. 23, 2o19, that Nunes’s assertion that the FBI engaged in irregular behavior was “correct.”

This is a blatant middle finger by Wray to President Trump, and the President understands that, as evidenced by this tweet issued on Saturday:

The President well knows that no FBI dirty cops will pay any real price so long as Christopher Wray remains ensconced as the FBI Director. Wray not only has no intention at all of putting out the agency’s raging dumpster fire, he is in fact dedicated to stoking its flames.

The only solution here is for the President to fire the man. Once this impeachment nonsense has been dealt with in the Senate, doing that needs to be Job 1 at the White House.

That is all.

The Barr Department of Justice Produces an Outrage in the Flynn Case

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

This is not encouraging. Not encouraging at all. – Early Tuesday afternoon, lawyers for the Justice Department prosecuting the case against Lt. General Mike Flynn revised their previous sentencing recommendation in the case. Last year they had recommended a probationary sentence for the former National Security Advisor, who pled guilty to lying the the FBI during their ambush interview of him in the early days of the Trump Administration.

Today, the DOJ lawyers – one of whom participated in the Mueller Witch Hunt – revised their recommendation to jail time of 0 to 6 months. As reported by Fox News:

In a reversal, the Justice Department has recommended up to six months of prison time for ex-national security adviser Michael Flynn—claiming he has refused to “accept responsibility” for his actions.

“Given the serious nature of the defendant’s offense, his apparent failure to accept responsibility, his failure to complete his cooperation in—and his affirmative efforts to undermine—the prosecution of [ex-Flynn associate] Bijan Rafiekian … the government recommends that the court sentence the defendant within the applicable Guidelines range of 0 to 6 months of incarceration,” federal prosecutors wrote in a sentencing memo on Tuesday.

In its new sentencing memorandum, the DOJ wrote, “The defendant’s conduct was more than just a series of lies; it was an abuse of trust,” adding, “The government acknowledges that the defendant’s history of military service, and his prior assistance to the government, though not substantial, may distinguish him from these other defendants. The government asks the Court to consider all of these factors, and to impose an appropriate sentence.”

Flynn’s lawyers will respond with their own sentencing recommendation in the next few days.

What’s really happening here is that the DOJ lawyers assigned to the case are angry that General Flynn decided to change lawyers in the midst of their and the FBI’s endless attempts to bully him into offering damaging information against President Trump and various other targets of the Mueller Witch Hunt. Flynn jettisoned his original counsel in favor of the much more aggressive Sydney Powell in December 2018, and since that time has levied a series of allegations of prosecutorial misconduct against the DOJ.

Again as reported by Fox:

In recent months, Powell has lobbed several accusations at federal prosecutors, claiming that they withheld critical documents necessary for the defense of her client. Powell has also demanded that the government turn over two cellphones used by overseas professor Joseph Mifsud, who told former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos that the Russians had “dirt” in the form of emails that could damage Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, claiming that the information would be “material, exculpatory, and relevant to the defense of Mr. Flynn.”

Powell also claimed that FBI agents manipulated the official records of Flynn’s 2017 interview that led to him being charged with lying to investigators in yet another attempt to get Flynn’s case thrown out.

Powell alleged that FBI officials manipulated his FBI 302 — the form used by agents to report or summarize interviews. It’s not clear who may have done the alleged editing, though ex-FBI agent Peter Strzok was involved in the original interview. She also alleged that, at the direction of former FBI Director James Comey, FBI former deputy director Andrew McCabe “personally called Flynn to pave the way for the uncounseled conversation.”

Flynn, for those who may have forgotten, originally decided to enter his guilty plea in 2017 after Mueller and his Witch Hunt gang threatened to go after his family. It was only after the government had requested a series of delays in the sentencing schedule that Flynn finally made the decision to hire Powell and fight back. Today’s revision of the government’s sentencing recommendation is payback from the Justice Department.

Not just any Justice Department, mind you, but the Trump DOJ led for the last 10 months by William Barr. Barr is supposed to be the stand-up guy, the Attorney General who was going to come in and put an end to the two-tiered system of [in]justice created during the Obama years.

Yet, here is General Flynn still being persecuted by Barr’s own employees all these months later. Meanwhile, Andrew McCabe, who not only has admitted to lying to FBI investigators, but who also had a criminal referral entered against him by DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz last year, still walks free and makes gobs of money as a paid contributor for CNN.

While Flynn is being threatened with prison time by Barr’s own lawyers, Obama-era hacks like James Comey, James Clapper, John Brennan and Peter Strzok – all of whom without any question at all committed multiple counts of perjury before congressional committees in 2017 – walk around free men, not subject to any harassment at all from the Department of [in]Justice.

Like most readers of the Campaign Update, I continue to harbor hope that Mr. Barr, through the John Durham investigation that he authorized and continues to at least publicly support, will ultimately begin to right all of the wrongs committed by his predecessors in office, and begin to re-balance this nation’s scales of justice.

But on days like today, when we see Barr’s own employees continue to shamefully abuse an American patriot like General Flynn, holding onto that hope becomes a real burden.

That is all.

John Ratcliffe Details Why Durham Time Has Arrived

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

First, in case you missed it because it came late yesterday afternoon, my summary of the Horowitz Report and its ramifications can be found hereThe IG Report: Not a Bombshell, But a Roadmap.

GOP Texas Congressman John Ratcliffe appeared on last night’s Fox Report with Bret Baier for an 8 minute segment. Ratcliffe’s answers to Baier’s questions are very revealing on a number of counts with a scattering of real bombshells throughout. Sad that neither Baier nor anyone else in the corrupt news media is curious enough to follow up on them. Below is the clip of that interview, followed by a transcript:

Here’s the transcript, compiled with laborious effort for the voracious readers who typify the fan base for Today’s Campaign Update. You’re welcome.:

Baier: I want to ask you about impeachment first. Is is a foregone conclusion that the House Democrats will vote on impeachment?

Ratcliffe: Yes. It appears the Democrats have burned the lifeboats behind them. They have made this decision, they’ve got nowhere to go. I think they have to answer to their base. I think it’s a terrible decision for the American people. You can see what it’s not based on – it is entirely political. But I gotta tell you, Brett: As a Republican, It’s good for us.

Baier: Do you have any reason to believe that any of your GOP colleagues will vote for impeachment?

Ratcliffe: No. On the other hand, I can say with pretty good certainty that there will be Democrats that won’t vote to impeach the President.

Baier: Do you think Nancy Pelosi has the votes right now?

Ratcliffe: I think she probably does. I think she won’t call the vote unless she has the votes, so I think she probably does. They’re going at breakneck speed. They’re losing support, and before they lose enough to get it across the finish line, and that’s why they want to have it next week after only being in the Judiciary Committee, the Committee of jurisdiction, for less than a week.

Baier: What happens if your side does not get a minority day hearing, which it doesn’t look like is going to happen?

Ratcliffe: We won’t. I think it will just demonstrate to the American people how perverted this process has been, how they won’t follow any of the precedents or standards, particularly as it relates to fairness during the process.

Baier: You mentioned today, an interview with the inspector general, with the intelligence committee…it’s a little hard to follow it here on set, ahh

Ratcliffe: It’s a little cryptic, I had to be. I had to be because it still hasn’t been released by Chairman Schiff. It’s the first deposition that was taken and it’s the only one that hasn’t been released. And the reason is – it doesn’t have anything to do with protecting the whistleblower’s identity: It has to do with protecting the whistleblower and Chairman Schiff from having their credibility questioned.

The whistleblower did not make truthful disclosures to the inspector general. I questioned the IG about that – the transcript will reveal that. That ought to be made public. No one should be voting to impeach an American president before they look at the real origins of this. The origins of this was not a whistleblower filing a complaint on August 12. It was a person who later became a whistleblower walking into Chairman Schiff’s office two weeks before that.

Baier: So you have zero hope that you will hear from Adam Schiff or the whistleblower.

Ratcliffe: He wasn’t even at the hearing today. He’s been making all of the decisions behind this and he wasn’t even at the hearing today.

Baier: Ok, let’s turn to the IG report – this is the Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, take a listen. [Plays a clip of Schumer lying about the IG report.] That was the top headline that the Democrats focused on in this line: “We did not find documentary or testimonial evidence of political bias or improper motivation.” You response?

Ratcliffe: So there’s two important things that went on here. One: Did the FBI meet the very low threshold for an articulate and factual basis to really suspect there was a threat to national security? The IG made the conclusion that they met that very low threshold to get the investigation started. The problem for the FBI and for the Democrats who want to somehow declare this as a victory is, everything after that is an indictment of the process. Even if there was a basis to open it, everything that came after it was exculpatory. There was no reason to continue it.

And the second part of this that’s really important is, when they got to the stage of a FISA application in October, as you see in here, this report is just completely full of what the IG politely says are errors and omissions. Another way of saying that is ‘lies, misrepresentations, false statements and a failure to turn over exculpatory information.

Baier: Is that what strikes you most about this report?

Ratcliffe:  Absolutely. It’s a validation of every one of us that’s been saying there was FISA abuse. It’s why the Attorney General’s statement today was, ‘this is clear evidence of FISA abuse.’ Unfortunately, we were right about that, and that’s a real problem for the FBI.

Baier: But this doesn’t back up the President’s ‘it’s a coup to take him down’ in this report…

Ratcliffe: Actually, I don’t know that you can say that, Brett…

Baier: …well, at least the IG says that.

Ratcliffe: Well, the IG’s role is to find facts, not to make conclusions, and actually I agree with most of the facts that the IG finds.  The facts in here say that the FBI’s senior leadership kept an investigation going where they knew they had no evidence – it was based on a dossier that was entirely unreliable and they knew it. And they did that, to continue an investigation into a candidate that later became President. And they didn’t have a basis to do that. And that’s in this report.

Baier: What about the criticism of Barr, that he comes out with this statement today, clearly differing on several points with the IG, and a short time later the U.S. Attorney, John Durham, puts out a statement in which he says his findings do not jive with what the IG finds. That’s pretty rare, is it not?

Ratcliffe: No, it’s not. Because really what it is is a sign of respect. John Durham waited until Horowitz’s report came out – that’s why he hasn’t made public statements. But now that the IG report is out, he is free to talk about the facts about what he has found. The first thing that he told you was, ‘I appreciate the IG, but my jurisdiction isn’t limited. I have greater jurisdiction, and what I have found isn’t consistent with his conclusions about that seminal issue, the predication issue.’

The AG’s special prosecutor in this case, John Durham, is saying, ‘I have a problem with the predication here. I disagree with the IG – there was not probable cause to open this investigation.’ So, I think…

Baier: Critics have said that ‘if he’s a prosecutor, does he make his case, bring it to a grand jury, make a charge before making a statement.’ Republicans were very critical of James Comey and what he did…

Ratcliffe: Absolutely, and he didn’t make a finding with respect to that [as Comey did]. What he said was, ‘I take with the IG’s findings and conclusions regarding the predication issue…’

Baier: He didn’t say what his was.

Ratcliffe: He didn’t say what his was. But I think it’s a clear sign of where he’s going on this, which is ‘I have greater jurisdiction. I’ve done a lot more with regard to this investigation,’ and I think in short order we are going to hear from John Durham that the predication just wasn’t there, as most of us really don’t see it even in this report.

Baier: So we’ve characterized, on our panel in talking about this, that there’s two tracks here: There’s the impeachment track, and then there’s this John Durham/IG track. Is it your sense that there’s a race now to figure out who’s gonna get to the finish line on what happens?

Ratcliffe:  I’ve said that all along, that that’s what’s driving this fast track [on impeachment]. They want to impeach this President so that when news like this comes out, they can say ‘gosh, we’re sorry there was FISA abuse, but this guy still should’ve been impeached.’ That’s why they’ve been racing through this. This report by itself, I think the more you look at it, the more you see, it’s an indictment of Jim Comey’s leadership at the FBI. This is a profound statement about how bad things were there with regard to an investigation that was continued without evidence to support it. I think folks at the FBI are horrified and dismayed by what’s in this report, and it’s only gonna get worse by what John Durham finds because he has the ability to go out and talk to the intelligence communities and people who weren’t working in the government.

[End]

To me, the most intriguing piece of this interview is Ratcliffe’s statement about there still being one more interview transcript – the very first interview taken in the basement of the Capitol Building – that Adam Schiff has refused to release. When you look at what Ratcliffe reveals about that transcript, that the witness says that Eric Ciaramella in fact walked into Schiff’s office two weeks before his fake whistleblower complaint was filed, you can see why Schiff refuses to release it.

After all, during the recent impeachment hearings before his Committee, Schiff very publicly and repeatedly denied assertions by GOP members that he knew the whistleblower’s identity and had in fact met Ciaramella. The fact that he refuses to release this single transcript would, in a world where we had an actual, working journalism profession, set off a firestorm of demands from the news media that Schiff release the transcript immediately.

But we don’t have an actual, working journalism profession in our country anymore, so no such firestorm will come.

Even more interesting to me is that what Ratcliffe said to Baier was not very “cryptic” at all, and probably violates Schiff’s dictatorial secrecy order about the content of any transcripts that haven’t been released. It will be interesting to see if Schiff attempts to retaliate. I doubt he will, because doing so might actually wake some of the lapdog fake journalists up from their nap on the subject.

The other reason why I took the time to transcribe this particular clip out of all the interview clips available this morning is because Ratcliffe himself is a former U.S. Attorney. He more than anyone understands how all these moving parts interrelate to one another.

Ratcliffe also reinforces what we pointed out here yesterday afternoon: That the real news about all of this is not what Horowitz’s report finds, but what Durham said in his statement that immediately followed the report’s release. Because it is Durham who has subpoena authority; it is Durham who has the power to compel testimony from witnesses outside of the DOJ/FBI employee base; it is Durham who has the power to impanel grand juries – which he has already done; and it is Durham who has the power to issue indictments and order arrests and stage perp walks.

The IG Report is out. Now, it’s Durham Time.

That is all.

Why the Horowitz Report Will Likely do Nothing to Advance the Cause of Justice

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

[Note: Today’s Campaign Update will be on a delayed morning schedule from November 30 through  December 4.]

Just a reminder: Do not put any hopes on Michael Horowitz doing anything to help bring the Coup Cabal to justice. – As we have repeatedly pointed out, Mr. Horowitz’s job is to investigate and provide cover for the bureaucracy that pays his salary. His internal role at DOJ is to “investigate” alleged wrongdoing among its employees and then to provide rationale arguing why that wrongdoing was nothing more than violations of internal policies, a simple lack of candor, innocent mishandling of documents, etc.

He might make the occasional criminal referrals targeting low-level functionaries – the Peter Strzoks and Lisa Pages of the world – but if you’re waiting for him to do the same where Jim Comey or Rod Rosenstein or Sally Yates are concerned, you are going to be highly disappointed when his long-awaited report on FISA abuse is released next week. So don’t hold your breath anticipating any real effort to bring the real bad actors in all of this to anything resembling justice coming from a career apparatchik like Horowitz.

In fact, the media supporters of the coup cabal have been working overtime this week to prop up Horowitz and mask the reality that his latest report is going to be just another basic white-washing of rampant DOJ corruption during the Obama years. A great example of this coordinated effort between the DOJ butt-coverers and their media supporters came recently from the New York Times, who else?:

Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz put together a chart of all the mistakes he found the FBI made in the process of obtaining warrants to wiretap former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

The list of “numerous” errors and omissions appears in a draft report containing the findings of Horowitz’s year-and-a-half investigation examining the DOJ’s and the FBI’s compliance with legal requirements and policies in applications filed to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, according to the New York Times.

See, in the world of Michael Horowitz, even the most egregious abuse of the process or leaking of classified material or defrauding of the FISA courts is just a “mistake,” an “error” or an innocent “omission,” all to be explained away as quietly as possible in order to protect and preserve the institution. Why, he’s even going to provide a nifty chart to illustrate it for all of you visual learners out there. The bad actors might or might not be fired as punishment, and the occasional miscreant like Andrew McCabe might be stripped of his pension as a response to findings in one of these reports, but if you’re expecting Horowitz to provide any sort of justice in any real sense of that word, you are barking up the wrong tree.

As if to illustrate that point, the DOJ itself joined in the effort to prepare the public for this non-event report by issuing this public statement:

View image on Twitter

Appearing on Tick-Tock Hannity’s show last night, do-nothing Senator Lindsey Graham essentially recited the talking points in that statement:

“Be wary of the Washington Post and the New York Times reporting on what is coming up with Horowitz. They have been trying overtime to spin this thing to diminish its effect, to downplay it,” the South Carolina Republican said.

“I can tell you without any hesitation Attorney General Barr has every confidence in the world in Mr. Horowitz,” Graham added. “He believes that he has done a good job, a professional job, and he appreciates the work and the effort he has put into disclosing abuse at the Department of Justice.”

So basically, the message from the DOJ spokesperson du jour and Sen. Graham is to ignore all the media propoganda floating around, read the massive report for yourself (like that’s ever going to happen with 99% of the American public) and make your own judgments.

And then what? Graham says he plans to ask pointed questions of Horowitz when he appears before the Senate Judiciary Committee on December 11, two days after the report is made fully public. Oh, golly, Lindsey, do tell! Do you also plan to point your finger at him and say “tsk-tsk, tut-tut?”

Um, and then what? Is Graham or anyone else in the U.S. Senate going to do anything to demand any real justice? Not really, because they don’t have any power to do so, and probably no intention, either. They can write letters and do their own criminal referrals on the Comeys and Strzoks and McCabes and Pages and Bakers and all the other Cabal players, but as we have repeatedly seen, the professional snakes embeded at DOJ just toss them into the trash can and play the waiting game.

But what about William Barr and John Durham? What about their investigation? Well, as we’ve repeatedly noted, they are your only remaining hope of any real justice ever coming about on any of this. But here’s the deal: William Barr might only have another 12 months at DOJ. If the 2020 election goes the wrong way, he will be out of a job faster than Rod Rosenstein can sign off on a fraudulent FISA application.

Meanwhile, the Michael Horowitz’s of the world go on, remaining embeded within their safe, tidy, butt-covering jobs at the DOJ for as long as they want to hold them. William  Barr is a political appointee who serves at the pleasure of the President; Horowitz is a lifetime apparatchik who serves at his own pleasure and whose lone true function is the preservation of the institution that makes that possible.

For those few who do take the time to read it, Horowitz’s report will no doubt contain a huge amount of very damning information about the real bad actors in the whole “Russia Collusion” fantasy play. But unless Barr and Durham decide to act on that information, it will all be long forgotten just a few months from now.

That’s reality.

That is all.

The Horowitz FISA Investigation May Have Found its Scapegoat

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Details of the Horowitz FISA report are leaking, and it all smacks of a whitewash. – Not that that outcome wasn’t completely predictable, since I warned you to fully expect that in yesterday’s Campaign Update.

Last night, CNN ran with a story – based on leaks no doubt obtained from one of the many ex-FBI snakes now employed by the fakest news channel on earth – proclaiming that Horowitz’s report will make claims of criminal activity by a single FBI lawyer, whose identity is not revealed in the story. Might it be James Baker, the former FBI general counsel now working for CNN as a contributor? Might it be Lisa Page, the paramour and co-conspirator to super-duper FBI stud Peter Strzok? We didn’t know, and CNN wasn’t telling.

What CNN did say about the nature of the potential charges against this lawyer is this:

A former FBI lawyer is under criminal investigation after allegedly altering a document related to 2016 surveillance of a Trump campaign adviser, several people briefed on the matter told CNN.

A little later in the evening, the Deep State mouthpieces at the Washington Post came in with a story of their own, and it revealed more about this lawyer’s identity. According to the Post:

The person under scrutiny is a low-level FBI lawyer who has since been forced out of the agency, according to the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss material that has not yet been made public.

Hilariously, after Wolf Blitzer carried a report on this CNN “breaking news,” the fake news channel’s own on-air fake talent studiously ignored it for the rest of the evening. Only in America’s dead profession of journalism would a news outlet work so hard to bury a major scoop that its own people were the first to report.

But the bottom line here is that Horowitz, true to his nature as a career creature of the DC Swamp, has apparently found the perfect scapegoat, a low-level lawyer who has already been forced out of his job and who can now become the sacrificial lamb, the offering to the public in a report that otherwise whitewashes the utter defrauding of the FISA process that we all know was led by Strzok, James Comey, Andrew McCabe and Rod Rosenstein, among others. We know a whitewash is very likely because the Post piece also contains this very disturbing passage:

That conduct did not alter Horowitz’s finding that the surveillance application of former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page had a proper legal and factual basis, the officials said.

Ugh.

The lone bit of potentially good news in all of this actually appears in the CNN report:

Horowitz turned over evidence on the allegedly altered document to John Durham, the federal prosecutor appointed early this year by Attorney General William Barr to conduct a broad investigation of intelligence gathered for the Russia probe by the CIA and other agencies, including the FBI. The altered document is also at least one focus of Durham’s criminal probe.

So, again, if you were expecting gang-buster, myriad criminal referrals to be contained in the report from career apparatchik Michael Horowitz, you would be well advised to cool your jets. While reports from CNN and the WaPo are highly suspect at best and far from definitive accounts of the totality of the Horowitz’s findings, they provide good initial foundation to believe the report will be a classic DC Swamp whitewash.

After all, if the report contained criminal referrals targeting the true major players in all of this, those major players would be working with their toadies at CNN, WaPo, the NYTimes and the networks to plant stories that smear Horowitz and contain more-preferred narratives.

If you want real justice to be levied at the coup cabal plotters, it will either come from John Durham and his investigation, or it will never come at all.

That is all.

Tick-Tock: Hannity and Graham Break Wind, er, News on the Horowitz FISA Report

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

The Tick-Tock News Hour finally gives us something other than gas. – All-hat and No-cattle Senator Lindsey Graham appeared on Sean Hannity’s Tick-Tock News Hour Wednesday evening. That’s nothing new. What is new is that the Senator from South Carolina had actually managed to round up some cattle for a change, informing Hannity’s loyal audience of something that they hadn’t already heard 600 times before on Tick-Tock News.

That item of actual new stuff is that the long-delayed report on abuse of the FISA process from plodding, obfuscating DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz and his staff of thousands of do-nothing bureaucrats will definitely, no question, you betcha be issued on December 9. Not December 9 of 2020, not of 2024, but…wait for it…THIS ACTUAL YEAR. I swear I’m not making this up. Here’s the clip:

For those Baby Boomers who still like to read stuff, here’s the transcript:

Mr. Tick-Tock – You’re gonna have, on December 11 [he actually said September 11, but I’m trying to be nice here], the Inspector General will be before your committee. I’m hoping we’ll get…

Sen. Graham – …December 11…

Mr. Tick-Tock – …a number of days, and not on a Friday, a dump…

Sen. Graham – …it’ll be December the 9th…

Mr. Tick-Tock – …derp…

Sen. Graham – …you’ll get the report.

Mr. Tick-Tock – [Shocked] December the 9th. That’s locked.

Sen. Graham – That’s locked.

[2 seconds of dead air as a shocked Hannity suddenly realizes he’s going to have to actually run a different show than he’s run the last 550 straight days come December 9.]

Mr. Tick-Tock – Ok. That’s a Monday. You’ll be in your chambers on Wednesday.

[End]

Ok, so, all of you who have been asking me for the last 10 months or so, “where’s the FISA report?” and “when’s the FISA report coming out?” – now you have it straight from the mouths of two of the most unreliable people on the face of the earth.

My only pieces of advice to you here are:

Don’t get your hopes up. Horowitz is a career DC Swamp creature. He is not in his job to actually find real, true wrongdoing that would create a major scandal within the department of government that pays his salary. As we have seen in the previous reports he has issued following his interminable investigations, his modus operandi is to do everything he can to create excuses to minimize and excuse wrongdoing by department employees.

While this report will likely contain criminal referrals, don’t expect them to be any sort of blockbusters involving people like James Comey.  Horowitz will bend over backwards to ascribe real criminal wrongdoing by these people to simple violations of departmental policy. Remember: Horowitz is a bureaucrat at heart, and it is never in the self-interest of any career bureaucrat to do real damage to the department in which he is employed. The permanent driving incentive of the career federal bureaucrat is always to preserve and grow the bureaucracy. This is the fundamental problem with allowing the DOJ to investigate itself, regardless of who the Attorney General happens to be.

Don’t be surprised if these dates end up being delayed again. Everything Graham says about any of this is highly suspect. The man has already almost succeeded in getting through his entire first year as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee without calling a single hearing or issuing a single subpoena over any of this stuff. It seems odd that he’s suddenly now going to break that record of non-achievement with just three weeks remaining in the year and the Christmas holiday season coming up.

Don’t shoot me, I’m just the messenger. And hey, maybe this will be the one time Sean Hannity’s Tick-Tock News Hour and his favorite guest actually deliver something real.

That is all.

Michael Horowitz – America’s Joke-Telling DMV Sloth

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this #WINNING yet? Nope, not a chance. – The S&P 500 set another record close on Thursday, with the Dow Jones Industrials and NASDAQ coming withing a few points of record finishing levels of their own. The Democrat tears are threatening to cause the sea levels to rise at this point.

You seriously could never make this stuff up. – The Washington Post, in its role as mouthpiece for the Deep State, published and then amended a piece Thursday evening that initially contained encouraging news about the potential release of the long-delayed report from plodding, obfuscating, delaying DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz on all the rampant abuse of the FISA system that was engaged in by the Coup Cabal. Attorney General William Barr had told reporters Wednesday evening that he believed the release of the Horowitz Report was, in his words, “imminent,” and the initial version of the Post’s report appeared to back that up.

According to the Deep State toadies at the Post, members of the Cabal are now complaining to their favorite fake news outlet that mean ol’ Horowitz isn’t letting their lawyers drag this thing out even further by delaying offering “comments” on the parts of the report that deal with their clients.

Here’s the key passage:

The Justice Department Inspector General’s office has told witnesses who are set to review draft sections of its long-awaited report on the FBI investigation of President Trump’s 2016 campaign that they will not be allowed to submit written feedback — one in a series of unusual restrictions that some fear could make the final document less accurate, people familiar with the matter said.

As is the case in most inspector general probes, witnesses are being invited to review draft sections of the report and offer comments and corrections, the people said. But — unlike most cases — they are being told those comments must be conveyed only verbally, the people said.

Oh, but it got even better:

Even though Attorney General William P. Barr and other officials have been working in recent weeks to determine what should be redacted from the report as classified or private information, people familiar with the process said that the entire draft document is marked “Top Secret,” so anyone who discusses its contents outside a secure government room could be committing a crime.

And…

Witnesses, they said, are being asked to review their sections in a secure area, after signing nondisclosure agreements, according to people familiar with the matter.

The witnesses have also been told they will not be allowed to remove any notes they make about the document, the people said.

Real Americans who really care about America were very pleased with this development, which appeared to be a good-faith effort by Horowitz and others who control this absurd process to speed it all up and deny the lawyers for all these bad actors multiple more opportunities to gum up the works. Finally, at long last, they thought, we will at least be able to firmly judge whether Horowitz himself is a good-faith actor or just another of the teeming masses of DC Swamp skunks infesting the DOJ. At least we’d finally have that.

But no, not really. Like Lucy pulling the ball away from Charlie Brown at the last second, the Post toadies came in a few hours after the piece was initially published and revised it with the news that a spokesperson for DOJ had just basically said “Just kidding. We take it all back.”

Here’s the revision:

But late Thursday night, Stephanie Logan, a spokeswoman, said the office would clarify to witnesses that they could submit written feedback “consistent with rules to protect classified information.”

“As part of our factual accuracy review, and consistent with our usual practice, we are providing witnesses with the opportunity to review portions of the report that relate to them,” Logan said. “Also consistent with our practice, we undertake every effort to ensure witnesses can provide their comments and we are clarifying to witnesses that they will be able to provide written comments, consistent with rules to protect classified information.”

Image result for lucy pulling the football

So, same old scam, different week. No one knows when the report will be coming out, or even how Attorney General Barr defines the word “imminent.” In the world of the plodding, obfuscating, interminably delaying Michael Horowitz, “imminent” could mean later this month, sometime before Christmas, along about Easter or, sadly, safely after the November 2020 elections have come and gone.

Horowitz is the living incarnation of the joke-telling sloth in the movie “Zootipia.”

You could never make this stuff up in a million years.

That is all.

Boom: Barr and Durham Shift to Criminal Investigation

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

And just like that, stuff got real. –  That squeaky noise you heard early Thursday evening was the sound of sphincters tightening in unison all over the DC Swamp. That was when news leaked that Attorney General William Barr has authorized U.S. Attorney John Durham to shift gears.

What has to this point been an administrative inquiry into the origins of the Obama-era efforts by the coup cabal to spy on the Trump Campaign and Transition team will now become a full criminal inquiry. As the New York Times reluctantly reported, the move gives Durham and his team of prosecutors and investigators “the power to subpoena for witness testimony and documents, to convene a grand jury and to file criminal charges.”

It’s actually even better than that, enough to make the Deep State toadies at the Times and the rest of the fake news media want to cry.  Durham can in fact convene not just one grand jury, but as many grand juries as he wants and needs to convene. Better yet, because Durham is based in Connecticut, his grand juries can be convened there, outside of the 90% Democrat snake pit of Washington, DC.

Naturally, the Times, in its role as the chief propaganda organ for the Deep State, structured its story on the talking points of the Coup Cabal’s prevailing narrative. Here are the key outtakes:

The opening of a criminal investigation is likely to raise alarms that Mr. Trump is using the Justice Department to go after his perceived enemies. Mr. Trump fired James B. Comey, the F.B.I. director under whose watch agents opened the Russia inquiry, and has long assailed other top former law enforcement and intelligence officials as partisans who sought to block his election.

Mr. Trump has made clear that he sees the typically independent Justice Department as a tool to be wielded against his political enemies. That view factors into the impeachment investigation against him, as does his long obsession with the origins of the Russia inquiry.

This is all the standard nonsense. Trump has upset the DC Swamp way of doing things by being a Republican President who actually fights back when attacked. The Times and their fellow media toadies demand that Republican presidents remain silent and just take it when the DC Swamp and its propaganda machine rises to assault them.

Of course President Trump fired the utterly corrupt James Comey when he found out that Comey had spied on him and was still attempting to entrap him. Of course President Trump has lambasted Comey, Brennan and other former “top law enforcement officials,” since he knows that they were the leaders of Spygate and the neverending coup. Sure, George W. Bush and his Poppy never pushed back when the Swamp attacked – they were part of the Swamp themselves, as was Nixon.

The final 15 or so paragraphs of the slimy Times piece is a point-by-point recital of the coup plotters’ preferred narrative, no doubt dictated personally the lead plotters themselves. If it sounds like a story that was written by the Cabal’s defense lawyers, that’s because it most likely was.

You should read it just to become familiar with what you’re going to hear from Democrat talking heads and fake hosts all over cable television in the coming weeks. They will all recite passages from these paragraphs word-for-word, like the sock puppets they really are.

You can also expect the media/Democrat effort to smear Barr, which has already been underway for months, to now shift into high gear, and expand to also include Durham. The Deep State’s Alinsky-based model always requires the character assassination of anyone who rises as a threat, so that’s a given.

Interestingly, the news about this becoming a criminal investigation came right on the heels of DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz telling congress in a letter Thursday afternoon that he is finally, at long last, entering the final phases of getting his report on FISA abuse ready for public release. Horowitz had announced the completion of his report on September 13, and apparently has waited all the time since for the internal DOJ/FBI classification review to be completed.

As reported by the Washington Examiner, “Horowitz said the process is “ongoing” and “consistent with our usual practice when an OIG report involves classified information.” The inspector general said he expects the final report to “be released publicly with few redactions” and does not “anticipate a need to prepare and issue separate classified and public versions of the report.”

Horowitz also said that the report is “lengthy” and “concerns sensitive national security and law enforcement matters,” which could mean a lot of different things. And hey, after taking all this absurd amount of time to complete, the damn thing had better be “lengthy.”

It is also interesting to note that both of these announcements come right on cue, as the Deep State’s favorite fake news organizations have been mounting a furious drive to preach the Coup Cabal’s gospel on a daily basis, as we have detailed this week at the Campaign Update. Obviously, the Brennans and Comeys and Clappers and Strzoks of the world know what’s coming and are doing their best to set their narrative in place before the actual truth starts coming out and indictments start flying.

At least, we hope indictments will ultimately start flying. The wheels of justice do turn slowly when the process is meticulously followed, but man, this has been like waiting for a family of turtles to cross I-10 in Houston during rush hour traffic.

Who knows what it will all ultimately produce, but as of this morning, there’s some reason to hope that at least some of the Coup Cabal plotters will ultimately face justice for their betrayals of this country.

That is all.

Horowitz Report Delayed Again? What a Shock. Not.

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

In case you missed it, the report from DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s FISA abuse investigation is being delayed. Yet again. For the, what, 100th time?

News of the latest delay came from Maria Bartiromo, host on Fox News’s “Mornings With Maria,” who had previously reported on her program last week that the report would be released this Friday:

“Classifications being made.” Well, we all know what that means in the lingo of the apparently hopelessly-corrupt Department of Justice these days, right? Whenever we do see this report, it will be filled with entire passages completely black out, and those will in all likelihood be the most crucial passages that would implicate the actual bad actors in the 2016-17 election fixing/coup effort.

So, every time you get to thinking that maybe, just maybe, Attorney General William Barr and U.S. Attorney John Durham might actually be making some progress and doing something real in their own investigation into the origins of the election fixing/coup d’etat plot, you get a countervailing event that shows you nothing much has changed at the Department of [No] Justice. Let’s all remember that this past May, President Donald Trump gave Mr. Barr full discretion on the determination of what information related to these unending efforts to change the results of the 2016 elections should and should not be classified. Thus, if we are now having another two-week delay in the issuance of the Horowitz Report, it is completely at Barr’s discretion.

Speaking on Sean Hannity’s show Monday night, former Utah Congressman Jason Chaffetz said that the interminable delays are the result of “intra-agency debate, and really a food fight” over classification issues, further saying that he’s being told that up to 10-20% of the full report – which Bartiromo claims is massive – will end up being blacked out. Chaffetz reminded Hannity that just 7 WORDS had been black out in Horowitz’s previous report.

Oh. So, nothing at DOJ has really changed since 2016, right?

But it gets even worse, according to Chaffetz. Fast forward to 3:35 of the clip below and listen to what he says about worthless FBI Apparatchik Christopher Wray:

For those of you who still like to read stuff, here’s a partial transcript of the key 15 seconds:

Hannity: Who is asking for the redactions? Is that Director Wray?

Chaffetz: I have not seen any evidence that Director Wray has been cooperative, but I think you’re also talking about other agencies, perhaps the CIA, the NSA, there are others. I think Mr. Clapper, Mr. Brennan are fighting behind the scenes as best they can, in front of the camera they’re fighting as best they can.

This is disgusting. It’s an ongoing national disgrace. And it’s apparently never going to end.

Another very interesting piece of that clip comes just a few seconds into the video, when Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz acknowledges that he was kicked out of a House Intelligence Committee witness deposition by Chairman Adam Schiff yesterday. Kicked out.

Imagine – just try to imagine – the uproar we would be seeing in our fake news media this morning had Republican Chairman Devin Nunes kicked Schiff out of a formal committee meeting during 2017-18. You would think the world was coming to an end.

This is real, true Nazi stuff, folks. The majority party is now so all-consumed with power that is denying the minority party members any and all rights to participate in this fake impeachment process.

And it’s all being enabled by your fake news media. Why?  Because they’re complicit, too. Never forget that part.

Have a great day, if you can.

That is all.

Trey Gowdy Warns Us Not To Expect Any BOOM From The Horowitz FISA Report

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

In case you missed it, plodding, thus-far-inept DOJ IG Michael Horowitz sent a letter to congress yesterday notifying key committee chairs that he has finally, at long last, completed the initial draft if his eons-awaited report on FISA abuse. The report now goes to Attorney General William Barr and swamp rat FBI Director Christopher Wray to begin the internal review process. That process will likely consume another month or so, maybe even longer, before the public will finally, at long last, be able to see the fruits of Horowitz’s glacially-paced labors.

This, of course will set the stage for all manner of leaking and self-puffery by the subjects of the IG’s report, including John Brennan, James Comey, James Clapper, Peter Strzok and Andrew McCabe, to name just a few of the Usual Suspects who the public record already available clearly demonstrates defrauded the FISA court repeatedly during 2016-17.

It also sets the stage for wild anticipation and irrational optimism among Trump supporters who have been paying attention to all of this that Horowitz is somehow about to deliver the goods on all the participants in the Obama DOJ/FBI Cabal, the foundation that will result in all of them being tried for treason and shipped off to prison for the rest of their lives.

Like clockwork, former prosecutor and ex-congressman Trey Gowdy appeared on Sean Hannity’s show last night to caution everyone to cool your heels and tamp down your expectations. Below is a video clip of that appearance, with a partial transcript to follow:

Here’s a partial transcript for those of you who still like to read stuff:

Gowdy: “It’s hard to convince 12 people of anything – I used to have to do that for a living. It’s tough. You’ve gotta dot every I and cross every T.

“Candidly, it is more difficult if it is a high-profile defendant. So, if they go forward with McCabe, it’s going to be a tough trial. You don’t want the U.S. government going to trial and losing on a regular basis. They lost the Greg Craig case, and that’s not good. If you’re going to go to trial, you need to win.”

Hannity shifts the subject to the IG Report producing indictments:

Gowdy: “You have to find a criminal statute if your objective is indictment. That is why I’m very clear every time I appear on your show that we cannot live in a society where an indictment is the only thing that carries any stigma [valid point there –  more on that at the bottom of this piece].

“Most of the names in this FISA abuse process have already been fired or publicly called to task. Jim Comey, twice now, the IG said ‘you did not meet our expectations. You failed to follow policy. You violated your employment agreement.’ All of that has to be significant.

“I used to try to make representations in court, and I tried real hard to be honest and fair about it. But let’s assume that I didn’t tell the court something. The remedy for me is not indictment. The remedy is I may lose my law license, I may be held in contempt.”

[Hannity interrupts, which is what he is good at, but makes a good point about the use of the unverified Dossier as the basis for the FISA warrants being a conscious fraud on the court, which it was. Repeatedly.]

Gowdy: “Well, if you were a lawyer, you’d lose your law license, and the court could hold you in contempt. You would be held in contempt of court, absolutely and you can go to jail for that. But I don’t know that lawyers who make factual misrepresentations in front of judges get indicted. You’re gonna get punished, you’re gonna be held in contempt, you may get sent to prison.

“I’m not minimizing anything they’ve done. I’m saying we’ve gotta attach the right punishment to the right offense.”

[Hannity visibly angry now: “But by signing that, they’re denying an American citizen their constitutional rights. They’re literally using that lie to spy on a presidential candidate, and then transition.”]

Gowdy: “Aha! We’ve identified a statute! Using the color of a government official – it could be a 1983 action. And that’s all I’m saying – we have gotta match up the conduct with an official code violation. What you just laid out is a 1983 violation.  Now, we’re getting somewhere!” [Note: U.S. Code Sec. 1983 allows prosecutors to pursue a civil action against anyone acting “under color of law” to deprive an American citizen of their civil rights. It is not a criminal statute.]

[Hannity: “I’ll send you Greg Jarrett’s list, he’s identified a whole bunch of violations.”]

Gowdy: “Don’t sent it to me, send it to Bill Barr.”

[Hannity dissembles about not knowing Barr. Interview ends.]

So, if you’ve been reading all those Twitter-based tick-tock conspiracy mongers and and watching Hannity air the same program every night for the last 18 months, leading you to believe the IG’s report was going to lower the BOOM on all the participants in the Obama Cabal, well, sorry. Trey Gowdy, a former prosecutor who never lost a case is here to tell you to dampen those expectations and go watch some football this weekend instead.

Finally, let’s review this passage of Gowdy’s comments:

“That is why I’m very clear every time I appear on your show that we cannot live in a society where an indictment is the only thing that carries any stigma [valid point there –  more on that at the bottom of this piece].

“Most of the names in this FISA abuse process have already been fired or publicly called to task. Jim Comey, twice now, the IG said ‘you did not meet our expectations. You failed to follow policy. You violated your employment agreement.’ All of that has to be significant.”

Of course, Gowdy’s absolutely right there. Public stigma used to be a vital aspect of punishing bad actors like the Cabal participants whenever the government couldn’t succeed in actually prosecuting them under criminal statutes.

The problem, though, is that that stigma no longer exists for anyone who is opposed to President Donald Trump. That stigma can only exist if our society has a real, working news media establishment that is willing to lay out the truth of their acts to the public and shame them for it. Our fake new media no longer serves that function related to anyone opposed to Trump. In fact, those bad actors are not only NOT shamed by the media, many of them are handsomely rewarded by the media with big “contributor” contracts. Witness Andrew McCabe, John Brennan, James Clapper as prime examples.

Peter Strzok and Comey were fired, but then were rewarded by the media with big book deals. Strzok and McCabe were both able to collect hundreds of thousands of dollars from demented leftists when they set-up online funds for their legal defense. On and on the depravity on the political left and in our fake news media goes.

So, while what Gowdy says there used to be correct in a U.S. society of decades ago, it is utterly irrelevant in today’s world. Absent indictments – or, as Gowdy repeatedly implies in this interview, being held in contempt by the FISA court and spending jail time for that – all of these co-conspirators will just keep laughing all the way to the bank with money largely provided them by our fake news media.

Sad, but true.

That is all.

James Comey Walks Free, For Now

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

So, James Comey walks free, for now. – That was the big uproar on Thursday, and my only question is why did the media and politicians treat it as if was some sort of news? We have known for three solid weeks now that the Department of Justice had decided not to prosecute the nation’s most prominent Teenage Drama Queen for his rampant internal malfeasance. So, why was everyone tossing such a fit about it?

Assuming William Barr and U.S. Attorney John Durham really are performing an investigation into the origins of Spygate – which is far from a safe assumption at this point – I can even understand the rationale behind merely humiliating Comey with yesterday’s Inspector General report documenting his serial leaking of FBI documents. After all, the Department of Justice theoretically does not possess unlimited resources to pursue every case that comes its way – unless your name is Roger Stone or Paul Manafort, of course – so better to conserve those resources for prosecuting Comey’s role in the failed coup d’etat that was mounted within the FBI and other agencies against President Donald Trump throughout 2016 and 2017.

Still, with every tweet he issues and every TV appearance he makes, Comey personifies the dual system of justice that continues to exist in our country. Because the simple fact of the matter is that if you or I leaked FBI documents to the New York Times, whether directly or through a “friend,” you or I would be spending time in the federal pokey.

It is now crystal clear that former Attorney General Jeff Sessions never had any intention of lifting a finger to end that duality within our justice system, and we have all hoped William Barr would be different. Yet, here we sit, fully six months into Barr’s term in office without having seen a single perp walk, indictment, or even any clear indication that he or Durham have taken the step of convening a grand jury. We did, finally, at long last, get the latest IG report from the plodding Michael Horowitz’s office on Thursday, and it turns out to be just another exercise in finger shaking at just another naughty boy that produces no real result and no real public satisfaction that anything real is actually being done.

The next bit of Horowitz-produced Kabuki theater, his full report on the abuse of the FISA process that enabled the Spygate operation to take place, will be the next shoe to drop. The public record is damning on Comey’s role in all of that – he lied repeatedly to the FISA court about the veracity of the Steele Dossiere and its contents. He put his personal signature on FISA applications that he knew to be outright frauds on the Court, a reality borne out by his own testimony before congress. We know the same about Rod Rosenstein, Sally Yates and others.

Supposedly that long-overdue report will drop shortly after Labor Day. Supposedly. Will it contain any criminal referrals, and if it does, will they be pursued by the DOJ? That’s an open question. After all, Horowitz’s April 2018 report targeting Andrew McCabe contained criminal referrals, and the only thing DOJ did to McCabe was fire him. Today, McCabe is not only a free man, he is a highly-paid “contributor” to CNN. He and Comey probably popped the cork on a bottle of Dom last night to celebrate Comey’s continuing liberty.

Rumors have been flying around this week that Barr and Durham are indeed about to finally, at long last indict McCabe for his various well-documented crimes. If so, that would represent a good start. But it would be just a start.

If it is really his true intention to try to restore Americans’ faith in our system of justice, William Barr has miles to go before he sleeps.

That is all.

The Media Mounts a Final Desperate Effort to Protect Barack Obama

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

The fake news media is going into overdrive. – Over the last 48 hours, we have now had the three fakest fake news outlets push their toadyism on behalf of the panicking Democrats and Deep State to a new level. On Wednesday night, the New York Times put the deep state spin on the Obama FBI’s spying operations against the Trump Campaign; Thursday night saw the release of CNN’s latest fake poll, a desperate effort to prop up the flagging campaign of Irish Bob O’Rourke; and Friday afternoon, the reliable old Washington Post jumped in with an op/ed from the execrable hack Paul Waldman.

Waldman’s piece is an obvious effort to set the narrative for the deep state as Attorney General William Barr pursues his own investigations into the origins of the Obama FBI/DOJ/CIA spying operations against the Trump Campaign. The goal of this narrative is to smear Barr – who, it is now obvious, is our nation’s first real, functional attorney general concerned about the rule of law in over a decade – in an effort to render any findings he makes as illegitimate, nothing but the work of Donald Trump weaponizing the Department of Justice to go after his opponents.

It is, in other words, the ultimate case of the media/Democrat favorite tactic of Projection: The tactic of accusing your opponents of doing exactly the things you yourself are in fact guilty of having done.

This is the beginning of a desperate effort by the Democrat/media propaganda complex to provide one final layer of cover for the head honcho who actually did deploy the FBI and DOJ and CIA to attack his opponents. It’s an operation designed to protect the guy who oversaw the entire operation and actively guided it – America’s Worst Mistake, Barack Hussein Obama. For those of us who have been paying close attention to all of the information that has come out into the public domain, Obama’s fingerprints have always been all over this illegal spying operation mounted against the opposition party’s presidential campaign.

The spying on the Trump Campaign was mounted as a counterintelligence operation by the FBI, recommended first by CIA Director John Brennan, authorized by FBI Director James Comey and managed by Deputy Chief of the Counterintelligence Division Peter Strzok. As a matter of routine, the President of the United States is given weekly briefings of the FBI’s counterintelligence operations. At the very least, Obama was fully aware of everything that was going on, a reality borne out in myriad text messages between Strzok and his paramour Lisa Page.

All of this and so much more is a matter of public record already – it is not in doubt. The fake news media has done everything it can to keep the public living in blissful ignorance about it all, but more and more Americans become aware every day, and that trend will speed up massively with the release of the pending Horowitz reports and the coming declassification of all of the underlying documents by President Trump, which will also begin to take place in the coming weeks.

So Barr must be smeared – it’s the media’s only remaining shield for Obama His Own Self. And it isn’t just Barr – other key players must and will be smeared as well.

You should expect the Post or the Times to quickly begin mounting a similar smear campaign against DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, since he is supposed to issue his own reports on a) the rampant Obama-era abuse of the FISA process, and b) the leaking habits of ex-FBI Director and current Teen Drama Queen James Comey in the coming weeks. Why? Because all the perceived enemies of the Deep State/Democrat Party must be smeared. Their reputations must be besmirched as a matter of protecting the media’s puppet masters.

What about Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham? You should expect to soon see the media mounting a smear campaign against him as well, since he is promising to use his committee to mount its own investigation into the origins of the spying operation. Graham, a life-long bachelor, has long been the subject of rumors that he is a closeted gay man. Already, we are seeing despicable cretins like Rosie O’Donnell, Alec Baldwin and Chelsea Handler launching gay smears at him via their own Twitter accounts. You should expect to see the Usual Suspect media outlets – The Post, the Times, CNN, MSNBC, etc. – to soon start running stories pushing rumors about Graham, stories they would never even consider running about any Democrat.

Yes, it is despicable. Yes, it is beneath contempt. But hey, this the fake news media and Democrats we’re talking about here. You expected something else?

That is all.

Matt Gaetz Dropped a Big ol’ Bomb on Watters World Saturday Night

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

This is a big deal, folks. – Matt Gaetz, Republican congressman from Florida, said the following in an appearance on Fox News’s “Watters World” with Jesse Watters Saturday night:

Here’s his full quote: “They’re not off the hook. Another Little nugget the IG is looking at is the corruption between the FBI and the media, where members of the media were giving concert passes and athletics tickets and other incentives to people in the FBI to leak to them, so we will be seeing it before we see the IG Report on how this fraudulent investigation began. What is so wrong here in Washington, where people can tell lies, and the mainstream media will carry them into millions of living rooms around the country without doing the kind of fact-finding that Sara Carter does and that really illuminated a lot of the abuses that have been laid bare for the American people.”

So, what does all of that mean?  Well, first you have to understand that DOJ IG Michael Horowitz and his hundreds of investigators have been looking into the rampant abuse of the FISA process the DOJ/FBI Deep State Cabal for more than a year now, and in all that time, nothing has leaked from that process. Throughout all of that time, Congressman Gaetz has sat on the House Judiciary Committee, first as part of the governing majority, and since January as part of the minority.

That means that Gaetz has been getting regular updates on the status of the Horowitz process, which has been forced to wait until Special Counsel Robert Mueller wrapped up his work before it could have access to key witnesses and documents that Mueller had been holding back. That “holding back” ended in late March, when Mueller finally sent his report over to the Attorney General.

Now, suddenly, Cong. Gaetz is on national TV on a Saturday night, giving us all a preview of a “pre-report” that Horowitz is planning to release in advance of his FISA Abuse report. That pre-report will focus on improper interactions between members of the Cabal and fake journalists in our fake news media. Let’s be real here: Cong. Gaetz did not put this out there last night unless he had permission to do so.

Oh, my. Can there be any doubt that sphincters are tightening in the news rooms at the New York Times and the Washington Post?

Meanwhile, President Trump is preparing to declassify rafts of documents related to the FISA abuse and other matters of corruption at the DOJ and FBI, apparently to be timed with the release of Horowitz’s report.

The fun part of all of this is just beginning, and Cong. Gaetz just gave us all a sneak preview.

That is all.

President Trump’s War of Attrition vs. The Deep State

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Paris Burning Update:

Things got calmer on the streets of Gay Pareee this weekend, as 8,000 heavily-armored riot police became more efficient and effective with their use of tear gas, pepper spray and water cannons to placate the masses. Officials estimated the crowds of Yellow Vest protesters mounted to “just” 66,000 or so, about half of what they had to deal with last week, and by the end of Saturday had arrested only 168 souls.

This is what boy Prime Minister Emanuel Macron and his Climate Change enforcers call “progress.” It’s a form of “progress” that will be brought to America soon thanks to your Democrat Party, which never gives up on a good scam.

Speaking of Democrats never giving up on a good scam… – I give you Joe Biden.  Joe’s old.  He’s 76 and would be 78 on Election Day 2020. That’s a year older than Ronald Reagan – our oldest in-office President ever – was when his second term ended.  That’s old, for a serving president. No offense to anyone that age or older, but it just is.

So Biden and his team have been looking around for ways to, um, deflect attention away from the boss’s advanced, ummm, seniority, as it were. And, according to the Associated Press, they’ve come up with a bright idea: Let’s recruit young Beto to be Joe’s running mate in the primaries! I swear I don’t make this stuff up.

I suppose the strategy here would be to say, hey, sure Joe’s 77 years old, but Beto’s just 46, and if you add those up and divide by 2 you get 61 and a half! That’s pretty young, right?

In all seriousness, are voters faced with a candidate who will be well into his 80s before his first term is over going to be placated by the knowledge that, if something happens to Biden, his replacement would be a fidgety skateboarding guitar player with no real qualifications for the office? I’m not sure this is going to work, guys and gals. Matter of fact, I’m pretty sure it isn’t.

It’s a war of attrition now for President Donald Trump. – This was the week when the Deep State’s strategy to force President Trump from office became crystal clear: The plan is to open up so many different investigative fronts that he ends up throwing up his hands in frustration and resigning the office.

And the investigations don’t just target Trump – they target anyone doing a good job on his behalf as well. We lost a great Interior Secretary in Ryan Zinke this week thanks to this strategy, after DOI’s IG’s office – still occupied by Deep State loyalists – had opened up half a dozen different investigations into petty administrative matters the IG studiously ignored for 8 long Obama years.’

The shameful Democrat hack just elected to become New York’s new state attorney general announced this week that she plans to investigate every facet of Trump’s personal and business life, as well as every member of his family. Hey, remember when America used to be a constitutional Republic, and law enforcement officials had a duty to investigate crimes, not individuals? Yeah, the Democrat Party is changing all of that right before your very eyes. Are you paying attention?

This week we saw ex-Trump attorney Michael Cohen sentenced to prison for a variety of crimes that had literally nothing to do with anything remotely related to “Russia Collusion”- in fact, they had nothing to do with his work for Trump at all. Cohen pleaded guilty to things like tax evasion and some nonsense having to do with New York taxi medallions, and for the process crime of lying to investigators, but not to anything related to his work for Trump. Yet, our fake news media has spent the entire week pretending Cohen’s plea is going to get Trump impeached. It won’t.

This week also saw Russian lawyer Maria Butina plead guilty to various process and failure to file charges that again had literally nothing at all to do with Trump or his campaign. Yet our fake news media and their Democrat masters spent the entire week pretending her plea is somehow “proof” of “collusion.” It isn’t.

There’s much more news fakery going on here, but the plan is for the Democrats and the media to keep pounding this drum, day after day, week after week, hounding Trump and anyone loyal to him until he has no base of support surrounding him in the White House and his job approval numbers fall so low that he starts to lose the squishy Republicans in the Senate. At that point, the belief among those in the Deep State is that Trump will pull a Nixon and resign rather than face a potential 2/3rds vote in the Senate for his removal from office.

There are a few problems with this strategy: Richard Nixon did not have the loyal base of support among voters that Donald Trump possesses. Trump’s polling numbers remain at the same level Barack Obama commanded at this point his presidency despite the 95% negative media reporting on him and the withering daily assault of leaks and fake news planted by the Mueller team and other investigators and Deep State snakes.

Nixon also did not have the personal fortune that Trump has at his command, a fortune that allows him to lawyer up and fight all the myriad investigations the Deep State wants to throw his way. Finally, Nixon was not the bull-in-a-China-ship fighter that Donald Trump undeniably is.

But that fighter had better start fighting even more aggressively, and soon. He can start by declassifying all documents related to the sham entrapment case Mueller and his evil team mounted against General Mike Flynn. Mueller refused yet again to comply with Judge Emmett Sullivan’s order to produce the original 302 document from the FBI’s entrapment interview with Flynn that took place in January 2017. Mueller and DOJ officials were also revealed to have erased thousands of text messages from the phones of disgraced ex-FBI skunk Peter Strzok and his paramour Lisa Page last summer.

The President has a duty to declassify every document related to all of that, so that the public can clearly see the Gestapo-like tactics Mueller has been deploying against American citizens in his quest to bring down this presidency.

If DOJ IG Michael Horowitz is really going to produce a report on all the rampant abuse of the FISA process and spying on the Trump Campaign and Transition Team that took place throughout 2016 and 2017, he needs to get that produced posthaste. And what about John Huber, the Salt Lake City U.S. Attorney who Jeff Sessions claimed in early 2018 was conducting his own investigation into all of this? If Huber’s really been doing anything at all, it is long past time to be showing some results.

The Trump supporter base is incredibly loyal, but one senses it is becoming weary and frustrated at the Administration’s unwillingness to defend its President. It made some sense to hold off on doing anything big during the election season, and also to hold off through the Holiday season as well.

But things had better start popping on the President’s behalf shortly after the first of the year, or those polling numbers could well begin falling. President Trump himself has the biggest weapon in his own hands – declassification. Once he does that, the pressure on Horowitz and Huber would escalate considerably to get their own jobs done, assuming they are doing anything at all.

January 2 would be a great day to begin.

That is all.

The Trump/Sessions Kabuki Dance Continues

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Hey, guess what happens when you essentially make it legal to poop on the street? – The answer would seem obvious to anyone living anywhere but some ultra-liberal enclave like San Francisco:  Homeless people are gonna poop on the street, and most likely won’t clean up after themselves.  But San Fran’s city leaders were oblivious to what the consequences would be when they decided to stop enforcing laws against defecation and urination on their city’s streets a few years back, and they are oblivious about how to really deal with the issue today.

So, they are now spending more than $12 million annually on what basically amounts to janitorial services for the city’s growing multitude of homeless encampments that keep springing up all over the city (“What? We can poop on the streets there?  Let’s hop the next freight train to San Francisco!”).  It has now advanced to the point at which a person can make a pretty decent living off the city by signing up to be a part of the “poop patrol,” a sort of rapid response team of sanitation workers whose job it is to quickly respond to the dozens of complaints that come into the municipal poop hotline each and every day.

Here are some fetid details from a recent San Francisco Chronicle article on the odorous topic:

“San Francisco Public Works has a $72.5 million-a-year street cleaning budget — including spending $12 million a year on what essentially have become housekeeping services for homeless encampments.

The costs include $2.8 million for a Hot Spots crew to wash down the camps and remove any biohazards, $2.3 million for street steam cleaners, $3.1 million for the Pit Stop portable toilets, plus the new $830,977-a-year Poop Patrol to actively hunt down and clean up human waste.

(By the way, the poop patrolers earn $71,760 a year, which swells to $184,678 with mandated benefits.)”

One hundred and eighty-four grand for scooping human poop – some would call that nice work if you can get it, and in San Francisco, you can get totally get it.  (I just realized that that’s about what a member of congress makes, which seems completely appropriate.) And feces is far from the only problem the Democrat-run city has built for itself by voluntarily becoming a homeless magnet.  There’s also the issue of cleaning up all the drug needles being left on the streets.  From the same article:

“At the same time, the Department of Public Health has an additional $700,000 set aside for a 10-member, needle cleanup squad, complete with it’s own minivan. The $19-an-hour needle cleanup jobs were approved as part of the latest budget crafted largely by former Mayor Mark Farrell.

The new needle crew is on top of the $364,000 that the health department already was spending on a four-member needle team.”

The “solution” to this issue offered a few years ago by the city’s Democrat leaders?  Hand out free needles.  Since that policy began, guess what has happened?  If you guessed that the number of used needles on the city’s streets has multiplied, you are a winner.

San Francisco’s Democrats appear intent upon turning their city into something one expects to see in a third world country, and they have every right to do that.  The wonder is that the voters in the city witness this insanity each and every day, and keep voting for the same brain-dead leadership when they go to the polls every two years.

All of which leads me back to the conclusion that perhaps the best place for a border wall would be between California and the other 49 states.  This kind of public policy insanity needs to be isolated; otherwise, as we have seen too often before, it will spread like a virus to much of the rest of the nation.

The Trump/Sessions Kabuki dance continues. – As discussed in yesterday’s Evening Campaign Update, President Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions engaged in one of their periodic exchanges of frustrations on Thursday, with the President calling Sessions out for his “stupid” recusal shortly after he took office, and the AG firing off a written statement defending his conduct in office.

Never one to be satisfied with a stalemate, the President fired off another round of haymakers on his Twitter feed this morning:

Now, this is about the tenth time in the last 19 months in which the President has lashed out and publicly berated Sessions in this manner, and yet, Sessions remains in the job, steadfastly refusing to do what anyone would say is the honorable thing and resign.  Given that, two schools of thought have arisen about Sessions and his relationship with Trump:

  1. That Jeff Sessions has no sense of self-respect whatsoever and is just another DC Swamp rat; or
  2. That he and the President periodically engage in this sort of Kabuki dance as a means of building up sympathy for Sessions among the public and the fake news media;

As I made clear yesterday, I continue to lean towards the second option as being the most likely, and that we have seen a pattern in the past of these exchanges coming shortly before some significant action by either the Justice Department or White House related to rooting out corruption at DOJ and the FBI.  We saw similar flare-ups between Trump and Sessions shortly before the firing of Andrew McCabe and the release of the first report from DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, for instance.  This is the first time I can remember a flare-up between the two moving into a second day.

Maybe that’s all just coincidence and maybe Jeff Sessions, a multi-term U.S. Senator and former state Attorney General who has always exuded self-confidence and pride and never given any indication that he was or wanted to be a part of the DC “establishment”, has suddenly become a meek, corrupt doormat.  That seems unlikely to me, though I know many readers disagree.

Let’s give it a week, and see what happens.

Just another day in time to isolate the California public policy virus America.

That is all.

Rosenstein and Strzok – the DOJ/FBI Tag Team of Corruption and Disgrace

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Hey, remember when the Department of Justice actually worked on things like prosecuting criminals?  Yeah, those days apparently are gone.  – As if his hostility to the President of the United States of America weren’t already clear enough, de facto Attorney General Rod Rosenstein sent out a memo to all  U.S. Attorneys in the country on Wednesday demanding that they suspend their current priorities in order to help him investigate not some criminal or enemy of the state, but President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

In an email with the subject line reading “Personal Message to U.S. Attorneys From the Deputy A.G.,”  the Deputy AG asked each of the 93 U.S. attorneys to provide the names of not one, not two, but three members of their supposedly busy staffs “who can make this important project a priority for the next several weeks.”

So, it isn’t bad enough that Rosenstein has already dedicated the time of hundreds of people within DOJ and the FBI to help Special Counsel Robert Mueller in his never-ending fantasy-based witch hunt targeting the President of the United States of America.  Rosenstein now requires the time of another 279(!) DOJ employees to try to help congressional Democrats dummy up some sort of case against that Presidents nominee for the nation’s highest court.

To be clear, Kavanaugh has been around a long time and involved in a lot of different things, in the process establishing a long paper trail.  It is perfectly appropriate and necessary in any supreme court nomination for such a paper trail to be subject to rigorous review.  Such a review could certainly be accomplished by a tiny fraction of the number of people Rosenstein is demanding.  Dedicating 279 DOJ employees to the task smacks of a police state witch hunt.

Meanwhile, while the resources of his department continue to be redirected away from doing their actual jobs, where oh where is Jeff Sessions, who at least in name is the actual Attorney General?  A quick Google search shows he was up in Maine on Thursday, enjoying a little break from the heat and launching an “enforcement surge” targeting the opiod abuse problem.  So, at least he was, unlike his Deputy AG, working on something his department is supposed to be working on.  Awesome.

But why is Sessions letting the eternally problematic Rosenstein direct his department’s efforts related to the nomination of Kavanaugh?  Sessions’ stupid recusal from the fake Russia fantasy play does not in any way impact a supreme court nomination – why is he letting his deputy drain his department’s resources in such a stunning way on yet another witch hunt?

This is an intolerable, disgraceful and disgusting situation.  Rosenstein’s myriad abuses of his office will forever be a black eye to this nation’s history, and Sessions is the guy who has allowed it all to happen.  Unless something very dramatic takes place in the wake of the issuance of the final report from DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz in a few weeks, history will not be kind to Sessions, as he will be remembered as the AG who allowed the Deep State to perpetuate its existence.

Speaking of intolerable, disgraceful and disgusting situations, how about that Peter Strzok, huh? – The FBI’s Super Duper Agent of a Thousand Hats and Aspiring Latin Lover gave public testimony before the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday, and boy, was it a spectacle.

Having never before seen this scumbag in live action, I had pictured him in my mind as a smug, condescending, arrogant product of a privileged upbringing.  I imagined him as being the sort of guy who would have been the party planner in his college fraternity and then went onto a career in which he ultimately became promoted without merit to a position three levels above his competency simply because of which executives he knew and sucked up to.  Anyone who has spent time in the corporate world has known people just like this – I actually ended up having to work for a couple of Strzok clones during my own career.

And sure enough, there that exact person appeared on the nation’s television sets, smirking, sneering, blowharding false answers to members of congress who, unlike himself, were elected by the people to do their jobs.  He was caught in a series of blatant lies that will inevitably come back to haunt him, and in several other statements that conflict with sworn testimony offered by James Comey and other FBI officials.

So somebody’s lying, and given that every facial tick and shred of body language from this guy literally screams out “I AM AN ARROGANT, PSYCHOPATHIC, SHAMELESS LIAR”, the smart money is on Strzok.

If our country had anything resembling an honest national news media, yesterday would have been Armageddon for Strzok and really for the FBI in general.  But of course, the New York Times ran with a web-based story late Thursday afternoon with the hilariously false headline of “F.B.I. Agent at Center of Russia Probe TurnsTables on G.O.P.”  Guessing Strzok’s lawyers had pre-approval on that one.

So, while those of us who took time to watch some or all of Strzok’s disgusting performance live, or searched for real, honest coverage of it that can only be found at places like Fox News, the Daily Caller and the Wall Street Journal had our worst fears about Strzok’s true nature confirmed, most everyday Americans will hear literally nothing about this and still won’t even be aware of who this key figure in the utter corruption of the nation’s highest law enforcement agency is.

Like pretty much everything else going on at the DOJ and FBI today, that is an intolerable, disgraceful and disgusting situation, one that presents a real threat to our nation’s survival.

Just another day in where in the hell is Jeff Sessions America.

That is all.

Here’s Why the Democrats and their Media Propaganda Complex Are Panicked

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Democrats in Action!  – It is now no longer enough for Democrats and their spokespeople pretending to be journalists at our nation’s news outlets to simply fake the news on this fabricated border issue, now they must cry or otherwise become irrational while doing so.

Thus, on Tuesday we had the spectacle of Rep. Elijah Cummings pretending to breakdown crying as he screamed through his irrelevant opening statement at the House Judiciary Committee’s FBI corruption hearing, MSNBC fake host Rachel Maddow pretending to cry (without visible tears, of course) as she read a story about how HHS employees are placing the youngest children in separate centers designed to provide special care (because obviously, liberals oppose young children receiving special attention and care), and some bald-headed freak literally screaming through his entire 5 minute segment on Fox News’s “The Story” With Martha MaCallum. [Note:  I switched over to a baseball game after that, but I’m told Geraldo Rivera also went into a similar meltdown on the Sean Hannity program, along with panelists all over CNN and MSNBC.]

To top that off, you had the spectacle of some Democrat congressional staffer shouting “F*ck you!” at President Donald Trump as he walked through the halls of the U.S. capitol building, and a group of leftist agitators violently forcing Homeland Security Secretary Kirsten Nielsen to leave a restaurant where she was dining last night.

Obviously, the Democrat/media complex has some polling or focus grouping information that indicates that screaming and crying helps gin up public outrage on this subject.  Never mind the damage their idiotic histrionics do to our society, utterly destroying what little is left of civil discourse, they couldn’t care less.  These are truly desperate times for these people, and that desperation is playing out on all of our television screens each day and night.

The most scary part of all of this is that they will only become more desperate as November 6 approaches.  And make no mistake:  If these people obtain polling data or focus group results that indicate outright violence and rioting might knock the President’s public approval ratings down a couple of points, they will get a bunch of money from George Soros and pay a bunch of professional agitators to stage violent demonstrations and riots.  If you think I’m wrong about that, you just haven’t been paying enough attention lately.

So, why are the Democrats, their media benefactors and their radical social action support groups so desperate, you ask?  Well, isn’t it obvious?  Let’s go through a bullet list:

  • They spent 8 long years utterly corrupting every institution of our society, often engaging in criminal activity in the process.  They got away with it because 98% of the national news media helped them cover it up;
  • They assumed – were absolutely certain – that all of that would be swept under the rug and they would be able to continue corrupting our institutions and destroying our Republic for another 8 years when Hillary Clinton won the presidency in 2016;
  • And win Hillary would, because most every senior official in the Obama Administration – including Obama his own self – and a hardworking, dedicated cabal of loyal leftist FBI and DOJ officials were going to fix the damn election.  Yay, them!;
  • But, well, Hillary lost.  When that eventual outcome began to become crystal clear at about 9:00 ET on Election Night, they could see their whole world come crashing down around them;
  • It would have been one thing had the Pantsuit Princess lost to some establishment apparatchick like Jeb! Bush or John “Didja know my father was a postman?” Kasich – they would have been fine in that event because another Bush or a Kasich would have just gone about being kinder and gentler and helping them sweep all their crimes under that gigantic swamp rug and nobody out here in Flyover Country would have been any the wiser;
  • But no, the Fainting Felon didn’t lose to just anyone – she lost to Donald Freakin’ Trump, the one Republican out of 17 initial candidates who would actually come into the office and go about exposing their crimes, firing the perps, and ultimately prosecuting them;
  • So, utter, complete and total panic set in, and the American left lost what little collective mind it had left.  Violent demonstrations organized by groups funded by Soros and a handful of leftwing foundations began popping up all over the country, featuring a bunch of black-robed mask-wearing thugs that called themselves “Antifa”;
  • Members of the Clinton Campaign – including the Coughing Crook herself – immediately began promoting their “Russia Collusion” fantasy as the reason for their utter failure, and a well-coordinated fake news media campaign cranked up in support;
  • Meanwhile, the FBI/DOJ cabal and senior Obama officials transitioned their failed effort to fix the election into an effort frame Trump officials like General Mike Flynn for crimes they did not commit, and to entrap the incoming POTUS himself into committing some act that a special counsel might be able to dummy up into an obstruction of justice charge;
  • The Democrat/fake media complex also embarked on a withering, never-ending campaign to impugn the President’s character in a desperate effort to drive his public approval ratings down into the 20s in the hopes he would resign or, barring that, be impeached as he lost the support of congressional Republicans;
  • But the President did not resign, and his average poll ratings never fell below 40.  Instead, he went about reversing almost the entire Obama 8 years of policy, creating a massive renaissance of the U.S. economy, destroyed ISIS in about 5 minutes – infuriating all Obama loyalists and John McCain – and initiating a de-nuclearization process with North Korea that may well win him a Nobel Peace Prize that he couldn’t care less about;
  • Still, the Democrat/fake media complex carried on.  As recently as 7 months ago, the Democrats and their propaganda team were walking around in a state of glee as congressional preference polls showed their team with a big lead, leading to the narrative that the 2018 mid-term elections would bring about a great “Blue Wave” that would sweep Democrat majorities into both houses of congress, giving them control of the congressional committees that have been revealing so much of their wrongdoing.  It wasn’t too late to sweep everything under the rug – who would be able to stop them?;
  • But now the polls have turned sour for them.  President Trump is now at his all-time high standing in even several of the fake leftwing polls, and their edge in the congressional preference polling has all but disappeared;
  • They had to create a new issue, and the best they could land on is to portray President Trump and anyone who supports him as “Nazis” for basically enforcing immigration laws that have been on the books for decades.

This issue won’t work for them either, because the average American isn’t quite as stupid as Democrats and fake journalists always assume they are.  In the meantime, the last two days of testimony by DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz and the ongoing revelations surrounding it show them that the IG’s report on the FBI’s fake investigation into the Clinton email scandal wasn’t an end game, but the start of a process that will ultimately expose the entirety of their Obama-era scheming.

These people now realize they are aboard the political version of the HMS Titanic, and the first Horowitz report was just the tip of a vast iceberg that is floating inexorably in their direction.

Of course they’re panicked.  You would be too.

Just another day in it’s all going to come out in the end America.

That is all.

You Want a New FBI Director? How About Michael Horowitz?

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Yes, because remember how much she did for Haiti.  Wait, what?  – In keeping with her life-long belief that there’s a sucker born every minute, the Pantsuit Princess has decided to use the media-generated fake border crisis as a fundraiser.  Yes, even though she isn’t technically running for anything right now, the Grasping Grifter, even at her advanced age, just cannot let a good fake crisis go to waste.

So she sent out a fundraising email yesterday to all of her millions of dimwit supporters, urging them to send her money to her new political organization, Onward Together, so these morons can think they are “doing something” by purchasing the Fainting Felon a new Lamborghini or whatever she plans to do with this latest batch of ill-gotten gain.  Because, hey, there really is a sucker born every minute, and they all voted for the Coughing Crook in 2016.

Here’s what the fake border crisis is really all about. – It’s not about soulless leftist ghouls who support Planned Parenthood’s trafficking in baby body parts suddenly caring about children, it’s not about the Trump Administration’s ‘zero tolerance’ policy, it’s not about wanting to keep families together or any of the nonsense First Lady Laura Bush included in her disgraceful op/ed in the WaPo yesterday (Japanese internment camps?  Really, Laura?  Who talked you into putting your name to that line of abject BS?).  Those are just the well-coordinated talking points on the matter agreed to by the Democrat Party and their propaganda agents in the national news media.

This is about what immigration fights are always about:  The Democrats want to turn our nation into just another third world country filled with people dependent on the government, and they believe the best way to do that is to flood the southern border with immigrants from third world countries.  This current effort is an attempt to destroy the rules that govern legitimate requests for asylum.  Those rules currently apply only to very specific life-threatening situations:  Democrats want to expand those rules so that they essentially will allow anyone in for any reason, including – you guessed it – poverty.

Think about it:  almost all of the people currently being held in these migrant centers are from central America.  They traveled well over 1,000 miles in an arduous journey through Mexico where, if they really needed asylum from a life-threatening situation, they could have sought asylum.

Did any of them do that?  No.  Why?  Because they don’t want asylum in Mexico, they want to live in America, where the government doles out benefits like no one actually has to ulimately pay for them.  Before they left their home countries, most of these “refugees” have in fact been trained by American social justice warriors on exactly what fake story to tell when they reach the U.S. in order to gain entry, an effort that began about half a decade ago during – you guessed it – the Obama Administration.

President Trump says that isn’t going to happen, “Not on my watch,” and more than 500 days into his presidency he has given us no reason not to believe he means it.  But there are a whole bunch of weak-kneed establishment Republicans up on Capitol Hill who will sell you all out in a heartbeat for any legislation that “solves” this issue.  So, you’d best all get on the phone and warn your congressman or woman to think twice.  Trust me, some of them really need the warning.

Meanwhile, up on Capitol Hill, DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz and feckless FBI Director Christopher Wray testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee about the IG’s report issued last Thursday, which covered the FBI’s fake 2016 investigation into the Pantsuit Princess’s email scandal.

As I predicted in yesterday’s Campaign Update, Wray was his typical dissembling self, reciting careful talking points written for him by other people to recite, deflecting, refusing to answer on false grounds and just generally looking like the small and ineffective man he obviously is.  His smallness and ineffectiveness were only amplified by having to sit next to Horowitz, who, even with one hand obviously tied behind his back by Rod Rosenstein, was as forthcoming as he could be and did his best to provide the Committee with as much information as he possibly could.

The session began with Chairman Chuck Grassley tossing out the first bombshell, detailing the fact that he had also invited former FBI Director and current teenage drama queen James Comey to testify, and that Comey’s lawyer had sent back a decline letter in which he stated Comey, if forced to testify, would exercise his 5th amendment right against self-incrimination.  This huge news was of course studiously ignored by the fake national news media.

Horowitz stuck with the obviously dictated talking point that he didn’t find “documentary evidence” that the blatant political bias exposed on the part of FBI Super Duper Agent Peter Strzok, ex-FBI lawyer Lisa Page, ex-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and Comey himself influenced the conduct of the fake investigation, but no one was buying it.  And, despite that absurd protestation, Horowitz did manage to sprinkle in details of all manner of obvious bias throughout his answers to the pointed questions coming from some of the committee members, including Lindsey Graham, John Kennedy and Ted Cruz, in addition to Grassley himself.

In addition to those details, Horowitz also laid out two big pieces of new information that were not included in his report:

  • He informed the committee that the Teenage Drama Queen himself is actually the subject of a current, ongoing investigation into his mishandling of classified documents; and
  • He confirmed the existence of a federal grand jury looking into all of this, which is most likely associated with U.S. Attorney John Huber’s ongoing investigation into all of the FBI/DOJ’s 2016 efforts to fix the election.

Many, including me, have long suspected that Huber must have at least one and possibly multiple grand juries convened for months now, but before yesterday, no one at DOJ had confirmed that likelihood.

Horowitz will testify again today, this time before the House Judiciary Committee chaired by Bob Goodlatte.  The membership of that committee includes bulldogs like Jim Jordan, Trey Gowdy, Matt Gaetz and Ron DeSantis, so expect some real fireworks from today’s session.

Interestingly, our useless FBI Director will not be accompanying Horowitz in today’s testimony.  Which only further raises the question:  Why is this guy in that job?  What good is he to anyone?  He’s nothing but a career bureaucrat, obviously in way over his head, and he has no intention of reforming anything.

Some have speculated that Wray is just a placeholder who will be replaced by a more effective, reform-minded leader when all the dust has settled from these investigations.  Trey Gowdy’s name has often come up as a possible replacement, given his background as a prosecutor before he ran for congress.  Gowdy in fact almost appears to be angling for that eventuality, given his always equivocal public statements regarding the FBI and its “stellar” “rank and file.”

I have a better idea:  How about making Horowitz Director of the FBI when all of the investigations are done?  You want a reformer, how about the guy who knows where all the agency’s bad actors and bodies are buried better than anyone else?  You want someone who knows how to manage?  This guy has been managing a gigantic staff conducting dozens of simultaneous investigations for a decade now.  You want someone who isn’t shy about bucking the system and isn’t squeamish about fighting higher-ups?  Horowitz has been doing that his entire career.

It’ll probably never happen, but after yesterday, it sure seems like a heck of a good idea.  Just throwing it out there.

Just another day in the drama never ends America.

That is all.

The Horowitz and Wray Show Comes to Capitol Hill

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Happy Father’s Day!  – Pretending to suddenly be concerned about the children of illegal aliens who have illegally crossed into the United States, social justice warriors took to social media on Saturday in outrage that many Americans would be celebrating Father’s day on Sunday.  I celebrated Father’s Day with my family anyway, and even worse, cooked delicious, juicy animal meat in the form of beef and chicken fajitas for my wifey, children and grandchildren to consume.  They loved me for it.  So there.

San Fran Nan is outraged, too. – Doddering old Nancy Pelosi, who after a lifetime of supposed “public service” can somehow afford to live in a multi-million dollar home protected by a wall in one of the priciest neighborhoods in San Francisco, and who owns several other homes to boot, attacked “people of faith” on Sunday for not caring about the plight of illegal aliens.  You can be sure that Ms. Pelosi, who claims to be a practicing Catholic, won’t be selling any of her homes to raise money to support these immigrants, or tear down her property’s wall to set a good example for the rest of the country.  Because, well, liberals.

Big Drama coming this week on multiple fronts. – Today and tomorrow, DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz and FBI Director Christopher Wray will go to capitol hill to offer testimony about the report he released last Thursday on the FBI’s fake investigation into the Clinton email scandal during 2016.  Horowitz and Wray will testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee today and before the House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday.

We can expect Director Wray to deflect, dissemble, refuse to answer based on false claims of “protecting sources” or other classic dodges used by FBI Directors in such situations, because he has clearly demonstrated he is just another feckless bureaucrat whose main goal is not the revelation of the truth, but the covering of his and his utterly corrupt department’s ass. That’s what we saw from him in his god-awful press conference last Thursday following the report’s release, and there is no reason whatsoever to expect anything different from him today or tomorrow.

Horowitz, however, is a different matter entirely.  Unlike Wray, he is not a guy with a history of obfuscating and deflecting in this kind of setting.  In his past testimonies to congress he has pretty much always been blunt and clear in answering questions posed to him.

What will be interesting to see with Horowitz will be to observe whether he bases his testimony on what was written – most likely by Wray, Rod Rosenstein and others – in the Executive Summary to his report, or if he bases his testimony on what is contained in the actual body of the report.  Because while the Executive Summary claims his report finds “no documentary evidence” that political bias influenced the fake investigation, the body of the report details all manner of not just bias, but outright hostility towards Donald Trump influencing pretty much every decision made in the conduct of what really amounted to a cover-up operation favoring the Pantsuit Princess.

And where the Executive Summary to the report claims to have revealed no criminal wrongdoing on the part of anyone at the FBI, the body of the report details all sorts of criminal actions, including the taking of bribes and leaking of classified information on the part of multiple bad actors within the FBI.  Thus, which part of the report Horowitz chooses to reference in his answers to questions from Republican members of these committees – the Democrat members will all just do what they can to continue to support the cover-up – will be key.  Horowitz has a history of trying to do the right thing in the face of obstruction and blow-back from his superiors within DOJ.  We can only hope that continues to be the case.

The other bit of drama we may finally, at long last see this week will be some real pushback from the GOP leadership in the House of Representatives over the DOJ’s and FBI’s ongoing refusal to comply with perfectly valid and legal requests by several committees for documents.  Speaker Paul Ryan is finally personally engaging in the controversy, having attended a Friday night meeting in which he, Devin Nunes, Trey Gowdy and Bob Goodlatte (chairmen of House Oversight, Intelligence and Judiciary committees, respectively) met with Wray and Rosenstien to hammer out a final deal on provision of said documents.

The group is supposed to meet again today, after which DOJ supposedly has promised compliance of some sort.  Nunes and Gowdy were both very plain-spoken in media interviews on the matter Sunday:

From Nunes:  “My patience  has run out. I believe that they have leaked — they created massive leaks. We know that from the I.G. Report. Inspector Horowitz showed us these major, major gaffes…here’s the bottom line.  Mr. Rosenstein, the deputy attorney general, and Director Wray have to decide whether or not they want to be part of the cleanup crew or they want to be part of the cover-up crew.  That’s really the decision that they have to make for themselves here. The best way they can be part of the cleanup of this mess is give us all the documents this week, so that we can put this behind us and let the American people begin to heal.”

From Gowdy:  “Paul Ryan led this meeting… And Paul made it very clear; there’s going to be action on the floor of the House this week if the FBI and DOJ do not comply with our subpoena request.  So Rod Rosenstein, Chris Wray you were in the meeting, you understood him just as clearly as I did. We’re going to get compliance or the House of Representatives is going to use its full arsenal of constitutional weapons to gain compliance.”

This all, of course, comes on the heels of a very rancorous meeting between most of these same principles last week, during which the perpetually oily and abusive Rosenstein actually threatened to subpoena the phone and email records of the members of congress and their staff in retaliation for conducting their constitutional oversight duties.  So it’s pretty easy to see why everyone’s nerves would be on end over this situation.

Of course, the problem these committee chairmen have is that congress’s power in this situation is fairly limited.  Our constitutional balance of powers envision that patriotic, competent and loyal people will be appointed to these high positions within the Department of Justice.  We know today that that was definitely not what happened in the Barack Obama Administration, and the jury is just barely still out on Wray, Rosenstein and Jeff Sessions.  Based on that assumption of good faith, the founding fathers did not give congress many powers to effectively combat a corrupted DOJ.

About the worst congress could do in this situation would be to initiate impeachment proceedings against Rosenstein and Wray, something Nunes and Goodlatte have threatened to do in the past.  But if these guys are corrupt enough to engage in this stonewalling operation for over a year now, and they know that there is not a single Senate Democrat honest enough to vote to remove them from office, what do they care?

So there will be drama, because we can be sure DOJ and the FBI are not going to comply with these latest congressional demands, but at the end of the day it will almost certainly end up being a lot of sound and fury that ends up signifying nothing.

Just another day in the drama never ends America.

That is all.

This IG Report is Devastating for the FBI; The Next One Will be Even Worse

Evening Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

I expected to be moderately disappointed today, but instead am feeling pleasantly surprised.  This IG Report is actually quite devastating for the FBI, which is exactly what it should be.  Michael Horowitz has done his job admirably.

First, a little house-cleaning…

  • Most, if not all of the mainstream, fake media organizations are rushing to get their clickbait “BREAKING” reports out based on reading the report’s Executive Summary only.  That summary is written in a way to intentionally soften the media reaction to the report, and feed the fake media’s confirmation bias that this thing is no big deal.  So the reporting we’re seeing from those outlets so far is very predictable. Great work, DOJ!
  • It seems, at least on the surface, that Comey’s going to be given a pass on his role in all of this.  Based on what I’ve read so far, I don’t expect a criminal referral related to him, despite all the “insubordinate” behavior he engaged in on Hillary’s behalf.
  • There are no criminal referrals in this report – there were never going to be.  Those come later, if there are going to be any.  Remember the Andrew McCabe report a couple of months back?  That one had no criminal referrals in it, either.  Horowitz issued a referral to Sessions on McCabe later on the same day the report was released, but that was very fast for a reason – they were working to get McCabe out of the FBI by the next Monday, and the report was released on a Friday.
  • There are, however, internal disciplinary referrals on 5 FBI employees contained in the report, including on Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.  Strzok specifically has been referred to the internal Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) for further internal investigation.
  • There also may never be any criminal referrals at all related to this specific report.  As I pointed out this morning, we have to remember that, despite the huge size of this 500 page report, its scope is very limited – only to the conduct of its fake investigation into the Clinton email scandal.  We have to remember that fake investigation did not involve criminal activity like defrauding the FISA courts or illegal unmaskings or faking 302 reports.  Those were related to operation Crossfire Hurricane and other DOJ/FBI shenanigans that are the subject of Horowitz’s pending, final report.
  • So the focus of the report is on the internal process followed, and violations of FBI protocols, because that’s what this particular investigation was focused on.

There.  Clear as mud?

Now, what this report does a great job of is setting the stage for the next report, which will be the climax of Horowitz’s work.  It’s like Act I  of a three act play.

Here is the scene it sets:

  • The FBI in 2016 was a place in which Horowitz documents “numerous FBI employees, at all levels of the organization” – including some senior ones – accepting bribes against agency policy from multiple news media outlets.  Meals, golf outings, sports tickets, you name it, these people were getting it from their favored leak recipients.
  • The FBI in 2016 was a place that leaked like a sieve to those very same media outlets.
  • The FBI in 2016 was a place run by long-time associates and fans of Hillary Clinton.  Comey has known her for 20 years, Page and Strzok worshipped her, Andy McCabe’s wife was taking gobs of money from her former bagman, Terry McAuliffe while McCabe himself was helping fix the agency’s fake investigation into her email “problem.”
  • The FBI in 2016 was a place at which the outcome of an “investigation” would be determined months in advance of even interviewing the suspect or her senior staffers, a place where the final report of an investigation was already drafted months prior to said intervews.
  • Even worse, the FBI in 2016 was a place where the senior agent running the fake investigation was aware that many of Clinton’s emails had been intercepted by foreign governments, and did his best to cover up that fact.
  • The FBI in 2016 was a place where a stunning revelation that more than 600,000 of Clinton’s emails, including many containing classified and secret information, were found on the PC of the disgusting pedophile husband of Clinton’s longtime companion, and that revelation would go completely unaddressed in any way for more than a month.
  • The FBI in 2016 was a place in which the Director made decisions vitally important to the well-being of a nation of 315 million people base on his certainty that Hillary Clinton was going to ultimately win the election.
  • The FBI in 2016 was a place in which the Director, his chief counsel and the deputy chief of the counterintelligence division all used their personal GMail accounts to conduct official business and transmit and receive classified information.
  • The FBI in 2016 was a place in which that deputy chief of counterintelligence, which asked by his mistress to assure her that Trump couldn’t win the election, replied “No.  We’ll stop it”.

All of this and no doubt much more is clearly laid out in this Horowitz report.  There will be much more revealed as everyone has a chance to comb through it over the next 24 hours.

This is a picture of an agency – supposedly the nation’s premier law-enforcement agency – that was out of control, overwhelmingly biased and utterly corrupt.  That is a devastating picture.

End of Act I

That is all.

AP Drops Fake News About New York AG’s Fake Lawsuit To Distract From Horowitz Report

Mid-day Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

If you’ve been listening to or watching the news this morning you are no doubt aware of this report from the Associated Press:

[Excerpt]

NEW YORK (AP) — A lawsuit filed by New York’s attorney general Thursday said President Donald Trump used his charitable foundation to settle personal business disputes and bolster his political image with donations directed by his staff.

The Donald J. Trump Foundation “was little more than a checkbook for payments from Mr. Trump or his businesses to nonprofits, regardless of their purpose or legality,” Democratic Attorney General Barbara Underwood said as she sued to dissolve the foundation and seek $2.8 million in restitution.

The lawsuit says the foundation illegally helped support the Republican’s campaign by raising money at a nationally televised fundraiser in January 2016, then allowing campaign staffers to dictate how the money was spent in grants.

In a couple of tweets, Trump called the case “ridiculous” and said he would not settle the lawsuit.

Many of you are also no doubt aware that the few things that have leaked thus far about the DOJ IG’s report on the Clinton email scandal have thus far been less than earthshaking, and you may be thinking it’s all a big nothing burger.

But think about this: Why did the news of this NY AG’s suit against the Trump Foundation break this particular morning? If you believe that is a coincidence, think again. This is right in line with this morning’s Campaign Update, in which I discussed how the fake news media drops fake stories like this one anytime the news cycle is likely to be favorable to President Trump.

But wait, this is not fake news, you say? Not so fast my friends!

This is a case that now-disgraced and resigned NY AG Eric Schneiderman threatened to bring against Trump and his foundation at similarly strategic times last year and the year prior to that. It’s a phony “investigation” of a charitable foundation that, as Trump himself tweeted this morning, in its lifetime has actually contributed MORE MONEY than it has taken in.

Compare that to the Clinton Crime Family Foundation, which regularly contributes about 5% of the donations it takes in, spending the remainder on employee costs (including salaries to all three Clintons) and travel expenses and meeting costs.

What is most likely going to happen in this case is that, once the public’s memory has faded about this morning’s filing, the NY AG’s office will quietly dismiss the suit late on a Friday evening.

Here’s the other thing: There would be no reason for the fake media to drop this fake story this morning if the IG’s report is just a big nothing burger. It’s 500 pages long, and you haven’t seen the whole thing yet.

But somebody somewhere is very worried about what’s in it.

That is all.

Horowitz Report Drops Today – Teen Drama Queens Prepping Their Defense

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

[Note:  The wonderful photoshop that accompanies this piece was constructed by a loyal Campaign Update reader who asked to be credited only as  dagalas.]

Hey, y’all, so far this week, President Donald Trump has gotten the Democrats and the fake news media to endorse:

– War games
– Nuclear weapons
– Refusing to negotiate with despots (where were they when Obama did that Iran deal?)
– Neverending war on the Korean peninsula

And it’s only Thursday morning!

PSA: Those loud noises you are hearing right now are just the sounds of liberal heads exploding…. – Two Norwegian lawmakers formally nominated President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize on Wednesday.  The two are of course described as “right-leaning” members of Norway’s “Progress Party, which advocates for limited immigration and shrinking the size of government.”  Gosh, such radical ideas, wanting to preserve your country’s native culture and holding down the size of government.  If we didn’t have biased, stupid media, we would have no media at all in America.

And speaking of biased, stupid, fake news media…

“Ok, the President had a really great summit in Singapore, sadly.  So, here’s what we do:  ABC, you go with the fake report about Michael Cohen turning on Trump.  CBS, you toss out the false report about Sarah Sanders resigning.  CNN, well, you have the porn star franchise, so get on it!” –  Seriously, it’s like clockwork:  Any time President Donald Trump (I still never tire of typing those three words) has a domestic or international triumph, all the fake news media outlets start pumping out fake news stories designed to distract attention.

If that seems like a coordinated plan to you, that’s because it is a coordinated plan.  This is what your fake news media is in today’s world:  They aren’t “news” organizations, they are propaganda arms of the Democrat Party.  It’s been this way for quite some time now – at least since 1992, but really since shortly following World War II.

It’s become more amplified since November 2016 because the people at the top of these organizations are increasingly desperate.  With every successive act of #Winning, President Trump reveals the DC “Establishment” – mainly Democrats but also a raft of disloyal Republicans – to be a decades-long utter fraud perpetrated on the American people.  Tuesday’s election results, in which a challenger loyal to the President – Katie Arrington – knocked off longtime DC swamp creature Mark Sanford in South Carolina in a very surprising upset, only served to heighten the fake media’s panic.

And guess what?  Today is the day the next report from DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz drops.  Just imagine the frenzied flood of freakin’ news-fakery we are about to be treated to in the wake of that document going public at 3:00 ET this afternoon.  It will be glorious.

Several readers have asked this week what we should expect from this next Horowitz report.  My only honest answer is, hell if I know.  There are reasons to be concerned about what it might – or more likely, might not – contain, and reasons to be optimistic about it.

First, it is key to remember that the scope of this report is limited:  It only covers the DOJ/FBI conduct of its blatantly fake investigation into the Clinton email scandal, an investigation that we already know was little more than a desperate coverup designed to keep Barack Obama’s favored candidate from going to federal prison.  Horowitz is still working on a more comprehensive, subsequent report whose scope is far broader and will cover all of the DOJ/FBI efforts to fix the 2016 election and spy on the Trump Campaign, transition team and administration.

The main reason to be concerned about today’s report is that Horowitz has no doubt been placed under massive pressure internally at DOJ to mealy-mouth his findings.  We’ve already seen one report that the report will find ex-FBI Director and current teenage drama queen James Comey to have been “insubordinate”, but probably will not find him to have committed any crimes.  If that account – based of course on anonymous sources only – is accurate, then this report is a major fraud given that we already know beyond any shadow of a doubt that Comey has committed multiple perjuries before congressional committees and illegally leaked classified information to the New York Times.

So, right off the bat, we will have that barometer to inform us conclusively on the relative usefulness of this report.

The next big concern is how much of the report will be redacted.  We must remember that bad actors like Rod Rosenstein have had their greasy fingers all over this report for the past three weeks as it has gone through its review process.  Under Rosenstein’s incredibly corrupt leadership, DOJ has become notorious for redacting vast passages of documents under claims to be protecting national security, only to have it revealed later that the redacted information was merely embarrassing to the Department.  If Rosenstein has had his way with this report, we can expect that less than half of it will actually be open for public review.

But there are also reasons for optimism that this report will at least move the ball forward towards cleaning up some of the DOJ corruption and getting the process of perp-walking and prosecuting the key bad actors underway:

  • Horowitz himself has already agreed to testify before the House Oversight Committee next Monday, and that testimony will be offered under oath and threat of prosecution for perjury.  If he has been forced to make inaccurate changes to his report and the Republican members of that committee have the presence of mind to ask the right questions (we know the Democrats will only try to cover things up) then we can expect Horowitz to offer honest answers.  Or we can hope he will, anyway.
  • Horowitz is considered by most everyone to be one of the good guys, for good reason.  Yes, he served during the Obama Administration, but he was constantly engaged in fights with Obama’s corrupt attorneys general, who did everything they could to deny him the right to conduct his oversight responsibilities.
  • Then there’s the fact that, as noted above, this report has been circulating within DOJ for three weeks and also reportedly shared with the congressional “Gang of 8” – which includes notorious hacks like Dianne Feinstein and Adam Schiff – and none of it has been leaked to the press.  You can be damn sure if the original text of this report exonerated James Comey or Andrew McCabe or Peter Strzok or Lisa Page or any of the other bad actors within the FBI and DOJ, that news would have long ago appeared in the New York Times or Washington Post.  The fact that that has not happened gives us cause to hope that Horowitz has done his job.

A word of caution:  Reports like this are never fully satisfying to anyone.  Regardless of how hard Horowitz might have tried, it is literally impossible to fully keep political motivations out of any 500 page report produced in Washington, DC.

It is also very likely that those of us hoping for full justice will be initially mislead by what might seem to be inconclusive findings or mealy-mouthed language in the report, only to find out later that it is in fact extremely damaging to the subject.  It’s key to remember that Horowitz himself is not the prosecutor here:  His job is to simply lay out the facts, though he does have the power to make criminal referrals if he so chooses.

Once the report is out, the job of prosecuting the bad actors falls to the relevant U.S. attorney.  So, while you might initially be disappointed by language that, say, finds “insubordination” or “ignoring of departmental rules” by a James Comey or Andrew McCabe, we may discover later on that a prosecuting attorney finds that to be evidence of criminal conduct.

Bottom line:  I don’t know what’s in this report yet, but we’ll all have a pretty good idea by about 5:00 this afternoon.  Stay tuned.

Just another day on the poop is about to hit the fan America.

That is all.

DOJ Brings the Hammer Down on the Senate Intelligence Committee

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Here’s what 40 years of Democrats refusing to address the state’s water supply have done for California… – “Californians May Have to Choose Between Showers and Laundry with New 55-Gallon Water Limit.”  That’s the headline of a PJ Media story detailing the looming impacts of two new bills just signed into law by California Governor Jerry Brown, the provisions of which would impose draconian new water conservation measures on ordinary Californians, while naturally also providing exemptions for all the state’s wealthy, who are overwhelmingly white Democrats like Nancy Pelosi, Dianne Feinstein and Gov. Brown.

The bills would impose fines of up to $10,000 per day for violators, while at the same time providing exemptions for swimming pools, spas and those ever-popular “water features” in all the state’s 6-figure swimming pools.  This is the Democrat Party in action, folks, and they want to bring this kind of elitist discrimination to the rest of the country.  Don’t kid yourselves otherwise.

Tired of all this Winning yet?  Part I – Tuesday was a really lousy day for the Democrats, with voter enthusiasm and turnout down in Democrat primaries and up in GOP races all over the country.  With the fake news media-promoted “Blue Wave” in danger of fading from memory, the news fakers at the raging dumpster fire that is NBC News felt the need to issue a fake poll  purporting to show the Democrats holding a 10 point lead once again in the congressional generic ballot measure.

As I chronicled during the 2016 campaign, this is a tactic that NBC and ABC seemed be tag-teaming during the general election, issuing some wild outlier poll anytime the RealClearPolitics polling average between the Pantsuit Princess and Donald Trump became uncomfortably close.  Guess this week was NBC’s turn.  It’s truly pathetic, but its what these people do.

Tired of all this Winning yet?  Part II – Perhaps the most gratifying aspect of Tuesdays results in California came in the fact that almost all of the George Soros-backed district attorney candidates got their evil heads handed to them.  Soros has been pouring tens of millions of dollars into local district attorney races all over the country this year in an attempt to put soft-on-crime prosecutors in place in his never-ending efforts to completely destroy American society.

It’s always a great day for America when Soros has a bad day.

And this time he really, really means it!  Promise.  Really.  Seriously, he isn’t kidding this time.  You betcha. – DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz sent a letter to the House Oversight Committee that he will be releasing his report on the FBI’s fake investigation into the Pantsuit Princess’s email scandal on June 14.  He has also agreed to appear before that committee to testify on June 18.

Guess what?  June 14 also happens to be Donald J. Trump’s 72nd birthday.  Happy birthday to you!

Wait, what?  Jeff Sessions is still alive and on the job?  Who knew? – The Justice Department announced on Thursday the indictment of one James A. Wolfe, 58, who has served as the Senate Intelligence Committee’s director of security for nearly three decades, for  allegedly making “false statements to agents in December about his contacts with three reporters.”  Investigators are looking into allegations that Wolfe leaked classified information to his girlfriend, a reporter who works for…wait for it…can you guess?…the New York Times!  Wow, that’s a shocker, right?

Ok, it was a 50/50 shot – the only other logical guess would have been the Washington Post, but the Times had a leg up on the competition for this particular criminal endeavor.  The Senate Intel Committee is that execrable bunch led by deep state Republican Richard Burr and ranking Democrat Mark Warner.  The roster includes a veritable who’s who of deep state Rs and Ds including Dianne Feinstein, Marco Rubio, Roy Blount, Angus King and Kamala Harris.

So, it’s only natural that the senior staffer thought to be leaking national security secrets to some leftwing NYTimes reporter named Ali Watkins – whose leftist resume’ sports previous stops at places like Buzzfeed, Politico and McClatchy News – works for this specific committee.  Remember, this is the same committee that gave us Daniel Jones, the former Feinstein shill who in late 2017 raised $50 million from Democrat donors to pay Christopher Steele and Fusion GPS to start dummying up a second fake Trump Dossier.  No word which NYTimes or WaPo reporter Jones is dating, but it’s apparently a safe bet there is one.

Oh, and guess what?  CNN reported last night that Mr. Jones is also now the subject of a DOJ investigation for alleged leaks of classified information.  Of course, it is CNN, so that report could turn out to be hilariously fake, but at this point it’s all the information we have.

Anyway, as a part of the investigation into Mr. Wolfe, Justice Department lawyers “notified Watkins on Feb. 13 that the DOJ had obtained information on her Google email accounts and Verizon phone, the Times reported. The seized records spanned years before and after Watkins joined the Times in 2017 to cover federal law enforcement.” The Times and the rest of the fake news media is in a big uproar about this tactic this morning.  Funny, they didn’t seem to care much when the Obama DOJ did that and far, far worse to Fox News reporter James Rosen and the dogged Sharryl Atkisson, who then worked for CBS.

But now that a Republican is in the White House, suddenly the fake news media gives a damn about the first amendment.  Funny how that works, huh?

But here’s the thing about that first amendment deal:  It is there to protect a free and independent press so it can serve as the public’s watchdog.  It was not intended to protect a bunch of hyper-partisan hacks who work every day to negatively impact the national security of the United States.

News organs that refuse to live up to that responsibility deserve what they get.

Just another day in Jeff Sessions Lives! America.

That is all.

Tired of all this Winning yet? – I’ve never had much use for anyone named Kardashian, but damned if Kim Kardashian West didn’t finally do something positive with her fame.  Of course, it took President Donald Trump (I never tire of typing those three words) to bring out the #Winner she always had deep inside.

On Wednesday, President Trump, based on a plea from Ms. Kardashian West, announced a full commutation of the life sentence that was despicably given to Alice Marie Johnson for non-violent drug offenses in 1996.  In announcing the clemency action, the White House issued the following statement:

“Ms. Johnson has accepted responsibility for her past behavior and has been a model prisoner over the past two decades. Despite receiving a life sentence, Alice worked hard to rehabilitate herself in prison, and act as a mentor to her fellow inmates.  While this administration will always be very tough on crime, it believes that those who have paid their debt to society and worked hard to better themselves while in prison deserve a second chance.”
This is such an odd case, in that Kim K. and others lobbied hard for Barack Obama, who pardoned thousands of drug offenders, many of whom were violent, hardened, unrepentant offenders, during his terms in office, to act on Ms. Johnson’s case.  But for some reason, most likely because there was nothing in it for himself, Obama refused to act on this case of a non-violent grandmother who was given such an absurdly harsh sentence.

But then, Obama also could not be convinced by Sylvester Stallone and others to issue the pardon for boxing great Jack Johnson, either.  Such an odd, odd man.

Naturally, the fake news hacks at CNN got this line of BS from some unidentified Obama shill on the matter:

“President Barack Obama did not intervene in the case during his eight years in office because the Justice Department recommended denying Johnson’s request for a commutation. Three requests were made — one during his first term, two during his second — that were rejected, including a final plea on January 6, 2017, only days before Obama left office.
The requests never reached Obama’s desk, a senior Obama administration official tells CNN, because he followed Justice Department recommendations.”

Thus, we are to believe that Barack Obama pardoned hundreds of often-violent drug offenders – far more such offenders than the previous 7 presidents combined – because that was the recommendation of his utterly corrupted Justice Department.  Ok, actually, that’s totally believable, come to think of it.  Now it all makes absolute sense.  My goodness.

Hey, maybe they should have just revoked his recess privileges and sent him to study hall. –

So, James Comey’s media friends, led by the hacks at ABC, got busy on Wednesday rolling out what will obviously be his line of defense to the pending report from Inspector General Michael Horowitz.  This line goes like this:  The ex-FBI Director and current teenage drama queen might have been “insubordinate” and maybe, just maybe he “defied authority,” but darn it, he didn’t do anything “illegal.”

And besides, he “defied authority” and “ignored agency guidelines” not to protect the Pantsuit Princess, but to protect the country!!!!!!

So, just as Comey himself, working in concert with the deep state fake media lapdogs, cleared the Fainting Felon by declaring her to be “extremely careless” instead of the proper “criminally negligent” in the handling of national secrets, so Comey’s fake news buddies will attempt to clear him using tortured rationalizations to describe obviously criminal behavior.

Readers have no doubt noticed that I’ve been referring to Comey in recent weeks as a “teenage drama queen.”  This is because much of his goofy book reads like a teenage girl’s diary.

But it occurs to me that these descriptions of his behavior – “defied authority”, “insubordination,” “ignored guidelines” – all describe the behavior of the classic teenage drama queen.  The ABC story reads like a note you parents might have gotten from your son’s or daughter’s junior high principal when your kids were in their rebellious years.  If ABC is to be believed, it appears that Mr. Comey entered into his junior high rebellious phase along about the Spring of 2016.

Or hey, maybe Comey reads the Campaign Update each morning, and just decided to adopt my taunts as a defense strategy.  Who knows, it might work out for him.

In all seriousness, let’s remember a couple of salient points about the Pantsuit Princess’s email scandal, which is the subject of this next IG report:

  • Barack Obama, the President of the United States, knew her private email address and used it for official business, something Comey and the FBI refused to ever look into;
  • The FBI never made any effort to seize the DNC’s email server, which the DNC claimed to have been hacked, never made any real effort at all to determine if that claim was true or not;
  • The Fainting Felon’s longtime companion Huma Abedin was forwarding all of her private emails to a computer used by her pervert husband to prey on little girls.

Those are just three of the most heinous among dozens of outstanding questions about this scandal, questions that Comey’s FBI made no real effort to truly investigate.  Given all of that, if what ABC reports is truly the worst that the IG’s report has to say about the Teenage Drama Queen, then Mr. Horowitz is obviously useless and this entire charade is just more deep state Kabuki theater.

All we can do is wait and see, and the waiting to see is getting very, very old.

Just another day in let’s hope this isn’t just more Kabuki theater America.

That is all.

The FBI’s Deep State Cabal Continues to Unravel, One Slimey Thread at a Time

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Yeah, that?  That’s a terrible idea.  But let’s go ahead and do it anyway. – Not one, but two of the dumbest decisions in American history were announced yesterday by completely unrelated businesses, and amazingly, neither of those businesses was named Starbucks.

First, the dimwits who run the Miss America Pageant, which literally began in the 1920s as nothing but a swimsuit competition designed to keep tourists in Atlantic City for a week past Labor Day, announced they would be cancelling the pageant’s… wait for it…swimsuit competition!

Thus ensuring that, in about 5 years, we won’t have the Miss America Pageant to kick around anymore.  Adios!

Second, the people at IHOP – aka, the International House of Pancakes – one of the most iconic breakfast houses in American history, have come up with the genius idea of changing the acronym to “IHOB.”  The catch is that they aren’t telling anybody what the “B” stands for until next Monday, but hey, just guessing here, it might just stand for “Breakfast” since that’s what the chain specializes in.

Thus ensuring that we won’t have IHOP to kick around anymore after Monday, and probably won’t have IHOB to kick around anymore in about 5 years from now.

Who makes decisions like this?  Seriously.

Ok, Bill, tell us something we don’t already know. – The FBI’s Chief of Counterintelligence, Bill Priestap, spent 8 hours testifying behind closed doors to a joint meeting of the House Judiciary and House Oversight Committees about his role and the role of others in the FBI’s sham investigation of the Pantsuit Princess’s email scandal.

While others involved the fake investigation have either lost their jobs (James Comey, Andrew McCabe, James Baker, Lisa Page) or been demoted and reassigned since last November (Peter Strzok, Bruce Ohr), Priestap has conspicuously remained in his job, where he served as Super Duper Agent Peter Strzok’s direct boss.  This has lead to much speculation that he has long been a cooperating witness for ongoing DOJ investigations being conducted by Inspector General Michael Horowitz and U.S. Attorney John Huber.

The most interesting part about Priestap’s 8 hours on the stand, as far as the public knows, is that none of his testimony has yet been leaked to the New York Times or the Washington Post.  We can be absolutely certain sure that if anything Priestap said was positive for the Democrats or the Fainting Felon it would have already appeared in stories by both of those newspapers.

The only leak as of this writing comes from Catherine Herridge at Fox News, who reported late yesterday that a “source” said Priestap testified that Strzok’s role in the FBI’s shenanigans was even more extensive than we already know, which, given that we already know that he was involved in literally every.  damn.  thing. hardly seems possible.  But there you are.

Priestap’s long-awaited testimony appears to be one step in setting the stage for the release of Horowitz’s also long-awaited report on the fake email investigation and other Coughing Crook-related matters that the FBI chose to cover up during the Obama years.  Interestingly, a second such step took place yesterday afternoon…

Life sure does come at you fast, huh Andy? – Hey, remember when ex-Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe assured everyone that he hadn’t ever done anything wrong late last year?  And remember when he threatened to sue President Trump for slander?  And remember when he threatened to take everybody down with him if he was fired before his pension was fully vested?  And remember when he got fired and wrote that scathing op/ed for the Washington Post claiming he had done nothing wrong and it was all such a huge injustice?  And remember how he did that Gofundme campaign and got a bunch of idiotic suckers to give him half a million dollars for his legal defense fund?  And remember how several Democrat members of congress offered to give him jobs so he could be employed long enough to fully earn his pension?

Yeah…good times…good times.

Late yesterday, this very same Andrew McCabe had his high-paid lawyer send a letter to Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley begging for immunity from criminal prosecution in exchange for testimony before the Committee.  Funny how all that bravado and unbridled hubris starts to disappear as the wheels of justice roll inexorably in these folks’ direction.

Just a note about that IG report… – If you’re feeling frustrated at the constant delays in getting this report released, trust me, you have plenty of company.  Including me.

But here’s the way to look at this:  The people who are the subjects of the IG investigation and still working within the FBI and DOJ have now had this report in-hand for almost three weeks.  Sean Hannity was reporting that yesterday as if it is something unusual, but it is in fact standard operating procedure:  Any current employee accused of wrongdoing by the IG is given an opportunity to respond and offer exculpatory evidence before these reports are made public.

But in those three weeks, not a word of this report has been leaked to the fake news media.  Given the number of bad actors within the DOJ and FBI who are subjects of this investigation, you can be sure that if anything in this report was positive for their case, it would have already appeared in the aforementioned house organs for the Deep State.

This report is not going to be everything you want it to be – reports of investigations like this never are.  But it’s obviously not everything the Deep State wants it to be either, because if it was we’d already know about it.

Remember the old proverb:  “The wheels of justice turn slowly, but they grind exceedingly fine.”

Just another day in the unraveling deep state America.

That is all.

Another Trump Troll, Another IG Report Delay to End the Week

The Evening Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

“Ok, so here’s the strategy on this latest huge jobs report.  We all do a 10-second report on it as soon as it’s issued and then just drop it like we always d…wait, what?  The President just did what?  He tweeted about it?  You have got to be sh…ok, that’s a huge story – gotta go report on it!” – The President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, got in one final troll of the fake news media before the weekend Friday morning when he issued a tweet prior to the release of this month’s latest fantastic jobs report:

As you can see, the tweet reveals absolutely no information about the report itself, yet it set off a mad scramble among pretty much every fake reporter in the fake news media to see who could be the first to get a report out claiming that the tweet “breached protocol” with some stories even claiming it to be a crime.  Hilarious, and obviously idiotically fake stuff.

This was an obvious troll by the President to force the fake news media, which has in past months barely even mentioned the stunning jobs growth being experienced in the Trump economy, to actually do their jobs.  So, while all the fake reporters and fake editors no doubt believed their fake reports were damaging the President they all hate, the fact is that millions of Americans today learned that the economy added far more jobs in April than anyone expected, and the economy is nearing actual full employment.

Had Trump not issued that tweet, yet another in a long string of fantastic jobs reports would have gone basically ignored by our fake national news media.  The joke’s on you guys, even though you probably still don’t even realize it.

IG Report Delayed, yet again. – Charles Grassley postponed the scheduled June 5 hearing of his Senate Judiciary Committee to review the long-pending DOJ Inspector General’s report on the FBI’s fake investigation into the Hillary Clinton email scandal.  The hearing is now tentatively scheduled for June 11, meaning Grassley now expects the report to be made public late next week.

These delaying games being endlessly played by DOJ are incredibly tiresome.  No telling what is being done to that report as time goes on and bad actors like Rod Rosenstein have it in their greasy hands.

On a related note, the news fakers at the Washington Post reported late Thursday that ex-FBI Director and current teenage drama queen James Comey was interviewed “recently” by D.C.-based U.S. attorneys leading the prosecution of his ex-Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe.  McCabe is facing charges for repeatedly lying to DOJ investigators and making unauthorized leaks to the news media, which he claims his boss – the teenage drama queen – knew all about.  Comey denies McCabe’s story, and thus prosecutors will almost certainly be left with trying to sort out which of the two famous – and infamous – liars to believe.

It’s a tough job, but somebody’s gotta do it.

That is all.

Grassley Schedules Hearing; Horowitz Report About to Drop

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

This was inevitable. – Roseanne Barr self-destructed on Tuesday, sending out a racist tweet targeting Barack Obama’s loathsome toady Valerie Jarrett, which resulted in her show being cancelled by the end of the day by Disney’s CEO Bob Iger.  Some of you have inquired over the last several weeks about why I haven’t said much of anything about the great success of Roseanne’s TV show revival, in which her character is a fan of President Trump.  Now you know.

Look, I never cared for Roseanne Barr to begin with and pretty much never watched her show when it was in its first run.  I found her to be personally repugnant, none of the characters on the show to be especially appealing or sympathetic, and the show itself to be inappropriate for the kids.  Why would things be any different 25 years later?

Plus, Roseanne herself is crazy, and some episode in which she personally imploded was frankly inevitable.  No one should ever hang their hat on some nutty celebrity – the same goes for Kanye West, who has been famously complimentary of the President in recent weeks as well.  He’s also a nut, and a personal implosion is pretty much inevitably in his future as well.

And please don’t respond to this with all these moral equivalency statements.  Yes, I know all sorts of leftist celebrities and fake news media personalities have made all sorts of racist and homophobic statements and tweets, and none of them get fired.  I don’t care – it’s how the media/entertainment complex double standard works.  If celebrities like Barr and Kanye don’t like it and can’t control their mouths then they shouldn’t engage in it.

Roseanne needed firing – I dislike Disney as much as anyone, but Iger really had no choice in the matter.  And all the people out there in social media trying to mount a campaign to get Fox to pick up the show are idiots.  Neither Fox nor anyone else would touch Roseanne with a 100-foot pole right now.

Roseanne is done – her only choice now is to do a Mel Gibson, disappear for about 5 years, and hope everyone forgets.  Sadly for her, they won’t.

Expect the Horowitz Report later this week. – Why?  Because Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley took the action late yesterday to schedule a June 5 hearing of his committee to examine the findings in the DOJ Inespector General’s report on the department’s fake investigation into the Pantsuit Princess email scandal and other Clinton-related matters.  No called witnesses are listed on the notice, but we can assume Horowitz will be one of them.

This obviously means that Grassley expects the report to be made public prior to that time, which makes sense given that it has been circulating within DOJ for almost three weeks now.  We should probably expect to see it late Friday.

Just as a reminder, this report ostensibly deals only with the Fainting Felon’s email abuse and the Comey-led, rigged investigation conducted by the FBI and DOJ.  It will also cover other related matters, whatever they might be.  It is not supposed to touch on all the rampant FISA abuse, the Uranium One scandal, the “Crossfire Hurricane” effort to spy on the Trump campaign and transition team, the illegal unmaskings, and all the other Obama-era process abuses at DOJ, FBI and the CIA, among others.

Those myriad abuses by the Obama Administration will be addressed in a subsequent IG report, which will hopefully come before the end of the century.  Ok, just kidding – it’s supposed to come sometime this summer.

But here’s the thing about that subsequent report:  the content of the report we are about to see will give us a very usable preview of what to expect in the next report.  If this upcoming report from the IG is just an effort to whitewash the whole thing and give Comey/Strzok/Page/Ohr/Baker/Priestap and others at FBI and DOJ a pass, the we can expect the subsequent report to do the same, and quit worrying about it all.

But if this IG report on the email scandal is a hard-hitting, no-nonsense report of the sort Mr. Horowitz is famous for – and that his report on Andrew McCabe’s actions certainly was – then we can be optimistic that the final report will be of similar quality.

The anticipation of waiting for this IG report reminds me of what I wrote shortly after Comey made his famous speech on July 6 , 2016 exonerating the Pantsuit Princess at the conclusion of his rigged investigation:

The tragedy of James Comey is one of lost opportunity. He and he alone had a chance – possibly the last chance anyone will ever have if Hillary is elected in November – to demonstrate that one of the foundational principles of the American Experiment still applies.

That foundational principle is that we are a country in which all people are indeed created equal. That this is a country that has no ruling class. That this is a nation of laws, not of men, and that the laws that apply to the lowest among us apply equally to those who attain the highest public status.

James Comey alone could have become a true American hero by showing that this principle still applies in our society. Because he lacked either the character or the courage to do so, he demonstrated, perhaps irrevocably, that the opposite is now true in Barack Obama’s fundamentally transformed America. We do now have a ruling class; we are no longer a nation of laws, but a nation of men; the law truly does apply differently to different people depending entirely on their class and political power.

It’s a tragedy, plain and simple.  Nothing else matters or need be said.

Michael Horowitz now has the same opportunity that Comey had almost two years ago – he can be remembered either as the steadfast public servant who, like Admiral Mike Rogers and Representive Devin Nunes, did everything he could to save the Republic, or just another tragic functionary in a hopelessly-corrupted Department of Justice.

Let’s hope he makes the right choice.  I’m not even going to hazard a guess.

Just another day in Michael Horowitz is the man of the hour America.

That is all.

We Are Just at the Tip of the Deep State Iceberg

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this Winning yet? – The deep state Obama flunkies were in full-on panic on Monday, as the details of their conspiracy to fix the 2016 election and then bring down a duly-elected POTUS continue to come to light.  Obama CIA Director John Brennan, ex-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates and ex-Attorney General Eric Holder all took to their Twitter accounts or favored media support outlets to threaten various Republicans and say stuff that just isn’t true.

Fresh off of probably perjuring himself again before another congressional committee on Friday, Brennan decided to go after Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell:

Ms. Yates, who famously went after then-National Security Advisor Mike Flynn under false pretenses under the never-used Logan Act, and refused to enforce lawful executive orders during her single week as acting AG, told the nitwits on MSNBC’s Morning Joe this:

“I think what we’re seeing here is the president has taken his all-out assault of the rule of law to a new level and this time he is ordering up an investigation of the investigators who are examining his own campaign. You know, that’s really shocking.”

In addition to the above, Ms. Yates, while serving as Deputy AG, was also responsible for preventing Inspector General Michael Horowitz from exercising proper oversight over the DOJ National Security Division, a fact about which Mr. Horowitz complained before multiple congressional committees.  She’s one to talk, huh?

Not to be outdone, Yates’s former Fast ‘n Furious boss Eric Holder – who was such a shameless toady for Obama that he referred to himself as “The President’s Wingman” – lied to his Twitter followers with this:

“No basis for an inquiry.”  The man is as incurious as a fake reporter for the New York Times.

What we see here is full-on panic from those who were intimately involved in a seditious plot to basically destroy America’s democratic process during a presidential campaign.  And trust me, we are far from knowing the full extent of this plot even with all the recent revelations.

The above tweet was not the only one Brennan sent out in recent days.  He preceded that one on Sunday with a message quoting the famous Roman Marcus Tullius Cicero:

Cicero, of course, ended up being assassinated, making this a classic dog-whistling tweet if there ever was one.

But on seeing Brennan’s tweet, I remembered that Cicero was also a loquacious guy who is credited for many famous quotes about civic life in a democracy.  It took me about 30 seconds of research to come across one that is especially applicable to Brennan, Yates, Holder, Comey, Strzok, Page, Baker, Ohr, McCabe and the others who were involved in this plot:

“A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.”

You want to do some more Cicero quoting, big boy, bring ’em on.

Hey, remember that Stefan Halper guy?  You know, the CIA asset who was hired by the FBI to spy on the Trump Campaign back in July 2016?  Yeah, that guy.

Turns out he got a big, fat check  – $282,295 – from the Obama Administration just a few weeks before Election Day 2016.  Gosh, wonder what that was for?  But that’s not all – turns out this guy was paid over a million dollars by the Obama Administration between 2012-2016.  My goodness, spying for the CIA is good work if you can get it.

And speaking of Halper and the deep state creeps who ran him against the Trump Campaign, if you’re wondering why the FBI and CIA were so anxious to “out” him with strategic leaks to the New York Times and Washington Post last week, well, it could all be a distraction tactic.  This may be a case of the deep state saying hey, look at this shiny object over here so that you don’t look at the big dung heap sitting over in the other corner of your living room.

Former Trump campaign advisor Michael Caputo thinks that’s the case.  He told Laura Ingraham on Fox News last night that Halper was just one of several spies targeted against the Trump Campaign by multiple agencies of the Obama government during the 2016 campaign.  He says he knows this because one of those other spies specifically targeted him.  Caputo claims he’s just awaiting clearance from his legal counsel before making this other spy’s name public.

Hey, somebody go make some more popcorn.

Just another day in some we’re only at the tip of the deep state iceberg America.

That is all.

Monday Will be a Very Bad Day for the Deep State Cabal

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

The liberal education bubble in action! – The Pantsuit Princess was given an award by Harvard University on Sunday for her “transformative impact on society.”  Wait, wait, wait – before you guffaw, or vomit at the absurdity of this, think it fully through.

The Coughing Crook has indeed had “transformative impacts” on our society.  Here are a few examples:

  • She “transformed” the U.S. State Department into a classic mob influence racket;
  • She “transformed” 20 percent of U.S. uranium supplies into Russian hands;
  • She and her husband “transformed” a charitable foundation into another mob influence racket;
  • She “transformed” the FBI into a full-fledged criminal enterprise.

But hey, it hasn’t been all bad.  At the end of the day, the Fainting Felon, more than anyone else, gave us Donald J. Trump as President.  Thanks, Hillary!

Today is going to be a big, big day. – I closed yesterday’s Campaign Update by point out that a tweet President Trump issued on Saturday indicated that he was considering taking the big step of declassifying some of the documents that DOJ and the FBI have been withholding from congress for many months.  Little did I know that that tweet was just the trickle of the presidential Twitter flood to come.

By noon Central Time, President Trump had issued a series of nine additional tweets, the text of which reads as follows, in the order in which they were posted:

  • Things are really getting ridiculous. The Failing and Crooked (but not as Crooked as Hillary Clinton) has done a long & boring story indicating that the World’s most expensive Witch Hunt has found nothing on Russia & me so now they are looking at the rest of the World!
  • ….At what point does this soon to be $20,000,000 Witch Hunt, composed of 13 Angry and Heavily Conflicted Democrats and two people who have worked for Obama for 8 years, STOP! They have found no Collussion with Russia, No Obstruction, but they aren’t looking at the corruption…
  • …in the Hillary Clinton Campaign where she deleted 33,000 Emails, got $145,000,000 while Secretary of State, paid McCabes wife $700,000 (and got off the FBI hook along with Terry M) and so much more. Republicans and real Americans should start getting tough on this Scam.
  • Now that the Witch Hunt has given up on Russia and is looking at the rest of the World, they should easily be able to take it into the Mid-Term Elections where they can put some hurt on the Republican Party. Don’t worry about Dems FISA Abuse, missing Emails or Fraudulent Dossier!
  • What ever happened to the Server, at the center of so much Corruption, that the Democratic National Committee REFUSED to hand over to the hard charging (except in the case of Democrats) FBI? They broke into homes & offices early in the morning, but were afraid to take the Server?
  • ….and why hasn’t the Podesta brother been charged and arrested, like others, after being forced to close down his very large and successful firm? Is it because he is a VERY well connected Democrat working in the Swamp of Washington, D.C.?
  • The Witch Hunt finds no Collusion with Russia – so now they’re looking at the rest of the World. Oh’ great!
  • I hereby demand, and will do so officially tomorrow, that the Department of Justice look into whether or not the FBI/DOJ infiltrated or surveilled the Trump Campaign for Political Purposes – and if any such demands or requests were made by people within the Obama Administration!

Ok, let me catch my breath.  Where to begin?  First, let’s just concede that this was the most awesome tweetstorm in the history of tweetstorms.  In 9 tweets, containing a total of about 300 total words, the President of the United states pretty much summed up his own frustrations as well as the frustrations of about half of the country with regards to the obvious, blatant dual system of law enforcement – or lack thereof – that has been practiced within the FBI and DOJ for the past three years.

It is a dual standard, it is a witch hunt, it is a situation in which our ostensible law enforcement agencies are allowing obvious, blatant criminals to walk free on the streets and receive awards from universities like Harvard.  These are people who have betrayed our country, abused its institutions for massive personal monetary rewards, shared its highest secrets with the entire globe and who did their very best to outright steal a presidential election.

We also have a situation in which the conspirators within the FBI, DOJ and CIA who conspired to rig an election and then take down a president now fully admit that they did spy on the opposition party’s presidential campaign, and then repeatedly, bald-facedly lied about it all under oath to various congressional committees and, with the help of their media allies, to the public at large.

So, the President who was the target of the conspiracy is upset about it all?  Go figure.

The very sweaty Rod Rosenstein, whose ill-considered appointment of his pal Robert Mueller as Special Counsel marks one of the low points in all of this, responded to the President’s final tweet within a few hours by announcing he was instructing DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz to expand his investigation to include “whether the FBI held a political motive in the counterintelligence investigation,” i.e., their spying on the Trump Campaign.

Consider the specific wording of that sentence.  Why is it worded that way?  Because Horowitz has already been investigating the FBI spying operation for months.  Back on March 28, when Attorney General Jeff Sessions expanded the scope of the IG’s investigation, the authorization letter included this language: “As part of this examination, the OIG will also review information that was known to the DOJ and the FBI at the time the [FISA warrant] applications were filed from or about an alleged FBI confidential source.  Additionally, the IG will review the DOJ’s and the FBI’s relationship and communications with the alleged source as they relate to the FISC applications.”

Here’s what’s probably going to happen today, judging from the President’s tweets, which by the way were obviously drafted with help from his lawyers and probably Chief of Staff John Kelly:

  • Rosenstein’s reaction to add it all to the IG’s plate is a good start, but probably not enough.  The President may well ask for a second special counsel to be appointed, or perhaps demand that Sessions appoint a U.S. attorney to perform a criminal investigation of some of the obvious criminal activity that Mueller refuses to address;
  • The President may well also announce he is using his constitutional authority to declassify certain documents – such as the letters Rosenstein used to appoint Mueller and expand the scope of his investigation – that Rosenstein and the FBI have refused to provide to Congress;
  • If Mr. Trump takes such action, Rosenstein will in all likelihood offer his resignation, which the President would no doubt accept.

Then there’s Jeff Sessions, our seemingly too-often-absent Attorney General.  There are two common schools of thought about Mr. Sessions:

  • He’s just another deep state operative and will never do anything to bring the real criminals in all of this to justice; or
  • He’s been carefully biding his time, awaiting the issuance of the IG reports and doing everything by the book before springing his carefully-constructed trap on the nation’s enemies.  He’s had Utah U.S. Attorney John Huber investigating all of this in coordination with Horowitz, and indictments and trials will follow shortly after the IG’s work is complete and relevant criminal referrals have been made.

I want to believe the latter scenario about Sessions is the case, because if it isn’t, then all is lost and none of this matters.  If the latter is the case, then things are about to come to a head very, very quickly.  If the first scenario is true about Sessions, then we may see him either resign or be fired outright this week as well.  Because the President has had enough of this crap, and really, who can blame him?

Boom.

Just another day in some of you laughed last Friday when I told you things were about to move very, very quickly America.

That is all.
