The Wuhan Virus Ordeal Will Produce Some Positives for our Society

The Mid-Day Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

I don’t mind admitting that my normally sunny disposition makes me grow quickly tired of writing about bad news. So, for today’s Mid-Day Update, I thought I would spend an hour listing some of the actual positive things I see accruing to American society as a result of the Wuhan Virus ordeal.

This is by no means intended to be any sort of comprehensive list, nor is it an effort to downplay the negative impacts of the virus and how our state and federal governments are reacting to it. But it was somewhat therapeutic for me to go through the exercise.

Below are my thoughts, and I would invite readers to respond with thoughts of their own that I can use for a second, similar update later this week.

More working from home. – Companies large and small are learning that large swaths of the jobs they need done can be done by people working from their homes without the loss of productivity. I predict we will see the number of new jobs conducted from home to be in the millions;

Less traffic has so many ancillary benefits. – Millions more jobs being done from home will result in millions fewer cars on the road every morning. This will result in fewer traffic jams, lower road maintenance costs, less demand for the construction of new roads or the expansion of existing highways, and less pollution;

The societal value of “big business.” – Speaking of those companies, Americans are getting to see just how valuable so many of them are in our society. As great American brands like Ford and My Pillow and Bayer and many, many more step up to manufacture and provide the equipment and medicines needed to fight this virus, they demonstrate that their value is in more than just the products they put out in the normal course of business;

Because we’re America, dammit. – A new generation of Americans is learning first-hand about the miracle of American enginuity. A few weeks ago, no test for this Wuhan Virus existed that would provide a result in less than a day. This morning, the FDA issued an emergency approval for a new test by Abbott Laboratories that will provide a result in … wait for it … TWO MINUTES. That is not a typo;

Parents reconnecting with kids. – Millions of parents are home-schooling their children right now. This will not only result in more parents doing this on a permanent basis – also resulting in fewer cars on the road – but is also giving parents more insight on what their kids are learning and how they are learning it;

Increased parental involvement in education. – That can only result in more parents becoming active in exercising oversight of their local school systems, and that will in turn inevitably result in more local control over education. That is undeniably a good thing;

We are learning how to pull together as Americans again. – Despite the best efforts of our despicable national news media to tear our country apart, there is a growing, palpable spirit of “we’re in this together” all over our country now. The media and other groups who fail to grasp this reality will suffer because of it in the long term;

We are gaining a new appreciation for service providers. – Millions of us are gaining a new appreciation for those who provide services in all walks of life as we go through this process. As we see so many restaurants, cafes and other service-oriented businesses shutter their doors, we are gaining a higher sense of appreciation for those who have been able to remain open, something that will likely linger with us when life returns to whatever the new, coming “normal” looks like;

Better sanitary practices. – Millions of Americans who seldom washed their hands after using the restroom are now changing their ways. That has to be a good thing, right? These new, better sanitary practices will not just help with the Wuhan Virus, but will also no doubt help to limit the impacts of the seasonal flu, common cold and other viruses;

A new appreciation for borders. – This is taking place not just in the U.S., but all over the world. A poll released late last week showed that a phenomenal 95% of Americans understand that President Trump’s crucial, early decision to ban most incoming travel from China was important. Even the government of Mexico is now policing its border with America more closely to try to prevent the spread of the virus. My goodness, even the members of the Earth’s ultimate globalist organization, the European Union, recently implemented the closing of national borders to non-essential traffic. The more people who understand the importance of borders and national sovereignty, the better off the world will become.

Again, this is not a comprehensive list, and I hope readers will look at it as nothing more than a good start. I welcome your thoughts on items to add to it.

Thanks!

That is all.

The Corrupt Media Hates God, Trump…and the My Pillow Guy???

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Ok, so, now they’re going after the My Pillow guy. – The rank hostility towards – and obvious fear of – Christianity by the leftwingers in the corrupt news media is really stunning. It was on clear display all over Twitter yesterday evening, after President Donald Trump (I still never tire of typing those three glorious words) let Mike Lindell, commonly known as the “My Pillow Guy”, come to the mike and talk about the wonderful work his company is going for our country right now.

For those who are not aware, the My Pillow company has converted one of its factories into an operation manufacturing face masks for hospital workers. It will be cranking out 50,000 of them every day by the end of this week. In other words, Mr. Lindell is actually doing something real to help fight the Wuhan Virus, unlike literally anyone in our fake, corrupt news media.

Seriously, as President Trump is donating his entire salary to the fight against this virus, and all of these various corporate giants in the business world are stepping up to quickly convert factories into manufacturing all of this critical equipment and supplies, have you heard or seen a single news report about any of the multi-multi-multi-millionaires in the news media doing a damn thing to contribute to the cause?

What really set everyone off was Lindell’s act of talking about Christian values and the Bible and prayer at the end of his remarks:

“God gave us grace on Nov. 8, 2016 to change the course we were on,” Lindell said, in reference to the night Trump won the election. “God had been taken out of our schools and lives, a nation had turned its back on God.

“I encourage you to use this time at home to get back in the word, read our Bibles and spend time with our families.” The New York Post reports that he then touted the economy and the unemployment numbers from Trump’s time in office.

“With our great president, vice president, the administration and all the great people in this country praying daily, we will get through this and get back to a place that’s stronger and safer than ever.”

[End]

That immediately set the blue-check corrupt journalists on Twitter off in a fit of outrage and ridicule. Within 30 minutes of his comments, Lindell was trending on Twitter under three different Twitter categories: #MyPillowGuy, “Mr. Pillow,” and “My Pillow,” as every leftist user on the site joined the corrupt national press corps in piling on.

Literally none of those people engaged in that activity are doing a damn thing to help our country right now, and most are actively harming the effort. The folks at Twitchy.com did a great job of compiling much of the media-led outrage at this link.

Of course, all of these people hated Mr. Lindell before yesterday. He is, after all, a great example of the American dream: A self-made guy who, after going through years of drug addiction, found God, got his life in order and created one of the most successful business enterprises in the country. Corrupt reporters and editors hate that stuff.

They also hate the fact that he was an early and vocal supporter of the Trump presidential campaign in 2016, and they hate the fact that Lindell proudly wears his religion on his sleeve. Lindell represents everything, every traditional American value, that they spend their days coordinating with the Democrat Party to destroy.

Of course they hate him.

Which, of course, is why we love him.

God Bless Mike Lindell.

That is all.

Nancy Pelosi: Domestic Enemy

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

In an appearance with Jake Tapper on CNN Sunday morning, despicable and depraved Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said this:

In response, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, appearing on Fox News with Maria Bartiromo, said this:

“What she said, she’s blaming the president for people dying because of the way he’s led the country. That’s the most shameful disgusting statement by any politician in modern history. Let me tell you we’ve seen the best of America from our citizens helping each other, delivering groceries, having special shopping hours for senior citizens. She’s the first politician to blame another politician for people dying.”

There is no question that Sen. Graham is right: Pelosi’s statement is unhinged and completely unbecoming anyone who holds such a high office. But sadly, it is becoming more and more typical of this 80 year-old lunatic as she continues to age.

Let’s remember that San Fran Nan is fresh off of holding up a crucial stimulus bill for an entire week so she could insert pork to feed to favored constitutents like NPR, PBS, the National Endowments for the Arts and Humanities, and the Kennedy Center. The Kennedy Center is such a national disgrace that it couldn’t even wait 24 hours from the time it received its $25 million bailout to tell all of its resident musicians that they were being laid off.

Let’s also remember that, when President Trump took the early, foresightful action of cutting off most travel into the U.S. from China on January 31, this is how the depraved Pelosi responded:

And here’s the babbling idiot urging tourists to go party in San Francisco’s Chinatown district on … wait for it … February 24:

Let’s also remember that, as the coronavirus was germinating in China’s Wuhan province last November through January, being spread across the world thanks to the rank mendacity of the ChiCom government, Nancy Pelosi was abusing her power and distracting the entire apparatus of the federal government with a completely bogus impeachment hoax. This stands as one of the most repugnant abuses of power by a high federal office holder in American history.

In their oaths of office, members of congress, commissioned military officers and other officials promise to “defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic”.

Nancy Pelosi, through her habitual bald-faced lying, her abuse of her powers as Speaker, and her increasingly wild and irrational accusations aimed at the President and anyone else who opposes her radical leftist agenda, has very clearly proven herself to be a domestic enemy of the constitution and the people of this country. She should be treated accordingly by all thinking Americans.

New Yorkers Suffer Today From Wounds Inflicted by de Blasio and Cuomo

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

I’m going to preface this by saying that I love New York City and the people there. My wife and I have visited there upwards of 20 times over the past decade, and have twice taken our entire family with us for Christmas vacations. We are huge theater fans, love the Broadway scene, the museums, the parks and the general busy-ness there. We have never had anything but positive experiences there and look forward to going back whenever life gets back to some semblance of normalcy.

But there’s the deal: New York City and New York State are saddled with horrific leaders. Just plain awful, uncaring and out of touch individuals who lack the first idea of how to behave in a crisis like this one. Mayor Bill de Blasio is a committed Marxist clown who might as well wear a red nose and gigantic clown shoes to work. His utter fecklessness during February and early March is basically the reason why his city is the epicenter of this epidemic in America today.

He was all over television during those weeks telling New Yorkers to live life as normal, ignoring the advisories issued by the CDC and the White House Coronavirus Task Force, and even allowing a massive Chinese New Year celebration to be held in February. As the very, very, very liberal New York Magazine pointed out in a devastating piece on the Mayor this week, as late as March 10, de Blasio was pretending life could just go on as normal for most New Yorkers:

“For the vast majority of New Yorkers, life is going on pretty normally right now,” Bill de Blasio said on Morning Joe March 10, as the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the U.S. topped 1,000. “We want to encourage that.” He added that there was a “misperception” that the disease “hangs in the air waiting to catch you. No, it takes direct person-to-person contact.”

He pledged to keep schools open, even if someone at any given school was found to have contracted the disease, saying that they would take a day to isolate the sick and clean the school before getting it back up and running. “If you’re under 50 and you’re healthy, which is most New Yorkers, there’s very little threat here.”

Those remarks came at a time when the CDC/Task Force were telling people of all ages to stay at home and only venture out to get groceries and other necessities. School districts all over the country were beginning to shut down, and governors were at the time getting ready to issue orders that all non-essential businesses be closed. The Mayor continued to hold out on cancelling the city’s huge St. Patrick’s day parade, waiting until March 13 to finally relent.

Perhaps in part due to de Blasio’s lackadaisical attitude, many New Yorkers continue to lack a basic understanding of the crisis their city is facing. Check out this scene from a park in Queens from Saturday:

I love New York and want to go back, but the longer this behavior continues, the longer it will be before anything goes back to normal.

Governor Andrew Cuomo isn’t helping in this regard, either. He’s getting rave reviews from the corrupt news media for his “leadership” since he’s a Democrat, even to the point of being talked up as a potential replacement for the elderly, clearly impaired Joe Biden when the time comes to toss him over the side. To his credit, the Governor is adept at holding a daily press conference, but other than that, what has he really done?

He spent a solid week pointing fingers at the federal government for his state’s shortage of ventilators, but we found out that he had refused to stock up on ventilators in 2015 when his health officials recommended he purchase 16,000 of them. As President Trump pointed out in an interview:

“He had a chance to buy in 2015 16,000 ventilators at a very low price, and he turned it down. I’m not blaming him or anything else. But he shouldn’t be talking about us. He’s supposed to be buying his own ventilators. We are going to help,” the president said.

That was last week. This week, after FEMA had delivered a total of 8,000 of the things to New York City, we discovered they were just sitting in a warehouse days later, unpackaged, undistributed and unused. Shortly after photos of the thousands of ventilators appeared in the press, the Governor finally sent in crews to move them…somewhere. No one really knows.

Cuomo’s response when asked about these thousands of unused ventilators was classic Cuomo BS:

“Yes, they’re in a stockpile because that’s where they are supposed to be, because we don’t need them yet,” Cuomo said. “We need them for the apex, the apex isn’t here, so we’re gathering them in a stockpile.”

Cuomo’s comments demonstrate there is not an immediate shortage in ventilators in the city, despite alarming reports.

“We don’t need them today, because we’re not at capacity today, that’s why they’re not deployed because they’re not needed,” Cuomo said.

So, you spend weeks bitching about a supposed shortage of ventilators – a shortage Cuomo created himself with stupid decision-making 5 years ago – and then, when they are delivered, you let them sit in a warehouse because you really didn’t need them at the time you were complaining, and might not ever need them at all.

This is appalling.

Throughout all of this time, tens of thousands of New York citizens have, thanks to the complete inaction of Governor Cuomo to implement a travel ban from the epicenter of the coronavirus outbreak, been traveling to Florida and other states, very likely helping to further spread the virus. The problem has become so bad that Governors in several states, including Florida and Rhode Island, have issued mandatory 14-day quarantines of anyone coming into their states from New York, and have even begun turning cars with New York license plates on them away at the state borders.

Cuomo’s response? Last night, he threatened to sue Rhode Island if that state doesn’t relent and allow New Yorkers to keep spreading the virus. I swear I do not make this stuff up:

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is threatening to sue Rhode Island over its new coronavirus policy that calls for police to stop cars with New York license plates and has seen National Guard members go door-to-door to ask if anyone has arrived from the Empire State.

Rhode Island Gov. Gina Raimondo — like Cuomo, a Democrat — announced the drastic new policies last week to limit the spread of the coronavirus. New York is the epicenter of the outbreak in the U.S., confirming more than 52,000 cases of COVID-19 and recording more than 700 deaths.

“I understand the goal … but there’s a point of absurdity, and I think what Rhode Island did is at that point of absurdity,” said Cuomo. “We have to keep the ideas and the policies we implement positive rather than reactionary and emotional.”

But that’s not all. When President Donald Trump casually told reporters Saturday morning that he and the Task Force were “considering” a quarantine of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, Cuomo responded thusly:

“This is a civil war kind of discussion,” he said of the proposal while doubting that Trump was seriously considering it as an option. “I don’t believe that any administration could be serious about physical lockdowns of states.”

Yes, friends, the man whose utter lack of leadership helped to create the problem considers federal deliberations over how to deal with his own ineptitude to be some sort of act of war.

This is leadership, New York style, and as of today it is a severe problem not just for New Yorkers, but for the entire country.

That is all.

Defense Production Act: Watch the Democrat/Media Narrative Turn on a Dime

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Watch as the talking points magically change. – The biggest news on Friday was that President Donald Trump moved to invoke the Defense Production Act (DPA) as it applies to General Motors. Not that you would necessarily know that, since the Democrat toadies in the fake, corrupt news media did their best to downplay this big news until they can obtain their new narrative talking points from the DNC on this particular issue. Because a new narrative is coming – bet on it.

Here is the text of the President’s order:

The White House
Office of the Press Secretary
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
March 27, 2020

Statement from the President Regarding the Defense Production Act

Today, I signed a Presidential Memorandum directing the Secretary of Health and Human Services to use any and all authority available under the Defense Production Act to require General Motors to accept, perform, and prioritize Federal contracts for ventilators. Our negotiations with GM regarding its ability to supply ventilators have been productive, but our fight against the virus is too urgent to allow the give-and-take of the contracting process to continue to run its normal course. GM was wasting time. Today’s action will help ensure the quick production of ventilators that will save American lives.

[End]

The President’s move comes after he had been hounded for a solid week by Democrat politicians and corrupt reporters in the White House press pool about why he activated the DPA about 10 days ago but before Friday had chosen not to target any company with it. Mr. Trump consistently responded that he had not needed to enforce the DPA because so many companies – like GM – were actually doing what the country needed them to do on a voluntary basis.

GM had come forward in mid-March and promised the Trump Administration that, because it had manufactured ventilators in previous years, it could quickly and easily convert at least one of its plants to do that again, and whip out about 40,000 new ventilators in short order for a reasonable price. But, when GM came back to the Administration this week and said that it now only wanted to make about 6,000 of these key pieces of health equipment, would take much more time than promised to do it, and wanted a lot more money per piece, the President decided not to tolerate this kind of double-dealing.

As is his habit, the President announced this major policy move on Twitter:

The “Mary B.” to whom Mr. Trump refers is GM CEO Mary Barra, a leftist clown who has basically run that once-great company into the ground over the past half-decade. As such, she is much-beloved by Democrat politicians  and corrupt journalists because, hey, from their perspective, being an inept CEO is great so long as your politics are right. Or should I say, left.

So, the Democrat/media propaganda complex that has spent the past week hammering the President to invoke the DPA against some company, any company, now has a new narrative conundrum. Do they continue to prod Mr. Trump in to more and more usage of the DPA, or do they now turn on a dime and pound on him for invoking it against one of their cult heroes and start calling him a dictatorial monster for doing so?

You can see where this is going to go, right?

Expect to see the new “Trump is a dictator!” narrative rolled out by leftwing talking heads and their corrupt media toadies on this week’s Sunday morning talk shows. It’s inevitable. This is what these people do.

That is all.

The WHO: A Bloated, Corrupt, Unaccountable, Thug-Hugging Bureaucracy

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

[Note: Given the many recent controversies regarding the World Health Organization and its head, Dr. (of Philosophy, believe it or not) Teros Ghebreyesus, this contribution from a friend in the medical field who prefers to remain anonymous is very timely, and extremely revelatory. Hope you enjoy it.]

WHO’s on first?

Costello: All I’m trying to find out is the fellow’s name on first base.
Abbott: Who.
Costello: The guy that gets the money.
Abbott: That’s it.
Costello: Who gets the money on first base?
Abbott: He does, every dollar!

World Health Organization. Who would think there could be anything but honor and irrefutable truth coming from an organization with such a noble-sounding organization?

If you’ve been watching most news reports during the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s been quoted and referenced as an unassailable body with nothing but the best experts and best intentions.
The more you know…

The World Health Organization was set up as a coordinating authority on international health within the United Nations. One can argue about the continued value and credibility of the UN, and many of those arguments would seem to apply to its offshoot, WHO.

On the one hand, having an organization that coordinates advances in medicine and technology from one country for the rest of the globe, or comes together to help “achieve better health for everyone, everywhere” seems like a great idea. From WHO’s website itself, “We help mothers and children survive and thrive so they can look forward to a healthy old age. We ensure the safety of the air people breathe, the food they eat, the water they drink – and the medicines and vaccines they need.”

Who could argue with such a noble charter? The answer is that not only could we, but we should.

WHO’s annual budget is somewhere around 4 billion dollars. The United States is the largest contributor to this organization, to the tune of more than half a billion per year, between “assessments” and “voluntary contributions.”

As I started to dig in on why giving WHO any credit whatsoever and seemingly holding them above skepticism during this disastrous global crisis didn’t feel right to me, I started with WHO’s very own website. I was trying to find what the original constitution for WHO was when it was first chartered in 1948 and compare it to the constitution for WHO today. It wasn’t easy to find. The version available on the WHO website calls out that this version is inclusive of all amendments made since 1948, but there’s not really a way to see what has changed, like a redline version. I did find this evaluation of the preamble to the constitution.

If you read the WHO website carefully, you will see phrases and statements that are almost exact versions of phrases and statements you have heard for years from US politicians and bureaucrats. If you look to Annex VII of the WHO constitution, you will see that Experts and officers serving on behalf of the WHO shall have privileges and immunities granted to them by all member states: immunity from personal arrest or seizure of personal baggage, b) immunity of legal process of every kind, even if they are no longer serving on committees of or employed by the organization, c) they are not bound by any local restrictions regarding currency or baggage, d) they have inviolability for all papers and documents – their documents cannot be seized or destroyed, nor can they be reviewed. They are granted complete secrecy, e) they have the right to use codes and to receive papers or correspondence by courier or in sealed bags.

Wow! An officer or member of a WHO committee could sure do a lot of unsavory business under the guise of their WHO status, couldn’t they? And, if what they are doing is to advance the causes of public health across borders for all citizens, then why in the world would they need to be so carefully protected by whatever it might be they are carrying on their person?

Maybe that’s all standard bureaucratic gobbledygook, you might say. Nothing to see here, don’t be an alarmist.

What if I told you that the current Director General of the WHO, Teros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, is the first person to hold that office who is not actually a medical doctor?

Dr. Tedros (he has a PhD in Philosophy) is a well-known “expert” in the field of immunology and infectious disease, and the first African to hold the post. Quoted directly from the WHO website: “Immediately after taking office on 1 July 2017, Dr Tedros outlined five key priorities for the Organization: universal health coverage; health emergencies; women’s, children’s and adolescents’ health; health impacts of climate and environmental change; and a transformed WHO.” Also, “All roads lead to universal health coverage for Dr Tedros.” Hmmm…..

The Daily Caller has had a series of editorials on Dr Tedros and WHO in recent days. Dr Tedros has, at best, some pretty ominous connections to China in light of China’s stonewalling and lying about the source of the virus and its spread, which if they’d cooperated earlier would have likely mitigated this spread and its devastating impact on the world markets. China backed Tedros in the election which granted him a five year term as Director General, which began in 2017.

As Ethiopia’s Minister of Health, it is alleged that Dr. Tedros participated in the coverup of at least three cholera epidemics. He has close ties to other human rights violators, such as Robert Mugabe (also an ally of China) and has consistently parroted China’s talking points during the COVID-19 outbreak, even when they have been proven demonstrably false.

OK, so this Tedros seems like he might be a bit unsavory. Maybe he’s an outlier. Who preceded him?

Why, that would be Dr. Margaret Chan. Dr Chan, prior to her election to Director General of WHO, served as Director of Health in Hong Kong. In that role, she achieved notoriety during the 1997 avian influenza (bird flu) outbreak and the 2003 SARA outbreaks.

During the bird flu outbreak, she thought it would reassure people to say things like “I eat chicken every day, don’t panic.” During SARS, the structure of the Hong Kong health care system under her direction was widely criticized for not sharing data between hospitals and public health officials. So why not then get yourself elected not once, not twice as Director General of WHO?

During her term as Director General, she distinguished herself by claiming that North Korea’s health system was great and that there were no signs of obesity in the country, unlike other parts of Asia where this was becoming a growing concern. (Perhaps because, oh I don’t know, maybe the people there were being starved to death by a despotic dictator?) She was also accused of ignoring a polio comeback in Syria in deference to its delightful President Bashar al-Assad, and under her direction, WHO also took heat for its slow response to the Ebola epidemic in West Africa.

Would you be interested to know that Chan is now a member of the Task Force on Fiscal Policy for Health, a group convened by none other than Michael Bloomberg and Lawrence Summers (remember him?)? Mr. Summers was Bill Clinton’s Treasury Secretary and former Director of the National Economic Council under President Obama. In between then, he was president of Harvard University, where he basically said that the reason why women weren’t equally represented in the science and engineering workforce was because they just weren’t as good at advanced math as men.

In its lifespan, the World Health Organization, despite the US being its single largest contributor, has never once elected an American as its Director General. Despite the excellent work the organization has done with vaccine research and other, targeted projects it has taken on in Africa, it’s hard to point to a single game-changing tactic that has impacted global health for the better.

WHO is an unaccountable, bloated, corrupt bureaucracy that has protected the most egregious human rights violators while professing moral superiority over every other individual country’s public health efforts, particularly the United States. It’s time we stopped supporting them, stopped deferring to them, and stopped listening to them.

That is all.

Pelosi, Sisolak Take TDS Depravity Beyond The Pale

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Some mid-day notes everyone should be aware of:

America’s universities in action. – Harvard University has the largest university endowment on the face of the earth, currently estimated at over $40 billion. Yesterday, as reported by the Washington Free Beacon, Harvard laid off its dining hall workers in an effort to “cut costs”:

A Harvard spokesman said he was unable to provide the Free Beacon with the number of subcontract employees in dining services. In 2018, the New York Times reported that the university dining halls employed 275 subcontractors.

Based on the local living wage standard, it would cost Harvard $710,000 to provide four weeks of full-time paid leave for all of its subcontracted dining employees. This represents 0.001 percent of Harvard’s endowment.

Other universities that have transitioned to online classes have handled the situation with contract employees differently. The University of Chicago said last week it would continue paying its subcontract workers through the end of the academic year. The University of Chicago has an endowment of $8.5 billion, around one-fifth the size of Harvard’s.

Disgusting.

Speaking of disgusting people… – San Fran Nan is holding up the passage of the senate stimulus bill again. As reported by the Daily Caller, Pelosi is now using arcane House procedures as a tactic for delaying any action by her chamber for at least one more day:

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi delayed the passage of the Senate’s coronavirus relief package on Wednesday, as the House was in session for nearly three minutes and then adjourned until Thursday.

“House Democrats will now review the final provisions and legislative text of the agreement to determine a course of action,” Pelosi said about the nearly $2 trillion emergency relief deal which will be voted on Wednesday afternoon in the Senate after a long night of negotiations. Meaning, the House will not be able to vote on the package for another day.

This is yet another clear effort by Pelosi to cause another day of negative stock market reaction. She will do literally anything, including throwing people out of jobs and causing more human misery, in her neverending zeal to harm President Trump. The woman is a sub-human ghoul, a clear domestic enemy.

Speaking of Democrat ghouls… – The Democrat Governor of Nevada, Steve Sisolak, last night issued an executive order denying coronavirus patients access to hydroxychloroquine, the safe, well-known medication that has been proven in multiple peer-reviewed studies as an effective treatment for the China Flu. As reported by Sifi.com:

Despite the world including India pinning the hope on anti-malaria drugs to treat serious COVID-19 patients, Nevadas governor has ordered to ban use of chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine to treat new coronavirus patients.

The governor’s executive order came after US President Donald Trump termed the drugs as a potential treatment for treating the illness, reports NYPost.

A man in US state of [Arizona] died and his wife was in critical condition after taking “an additive used to clean fish tanks called chloroquine phosphate, similar to the drug used to treat malaria”.

[End]

Thus, we have a Democrat Governor, in a zeal to do political harm to the U.S. President, banning a safe and effective treatment to patients in danger of dying because a couple of idiots decided to ingest fish tank cleaner. It’s akin to banning the use of Clorox to bleach white shirts because a couple of kids found a bottle of it under the kitchen sink and had to have their stomachs pumped.

This is a special kind of Trump Derangement Syndrome depravity, folks. It is utterly beyond the pale.

That is all, for now.

Boom: Trump Sets Target Date For Re-Opening America

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Early Tuesday morning, President Trump continued to signal that it is his intention to re-open the U.S. economy and get Americans back to work sooner rather than later. Repeating yesterday’s theme that the government can’t afford to implement a draconian “cure” that is worse than the China Virus itself, the President issued the following tweet:

A few hours later, President Trump had this to say on “Outnumbered” on Fox News:

Trump: The Senate and the House, we seem to be getting a long as much as you can get along. We seem to be getting a long now on a bill. I think that maybe had even less than an impact than the fact that we’re opening up this incredible country. Because we have to do that.

I’d love to have it all open by Easter [April 12]. I would love to have it open by Easter, I will tell you that right now. I would love that. It’s such an important day for other reasons, but I’ll make it an important day for this, too. I would love to have the country opened up and just raring to go by Easter.

[End]

For an investment community hungering to see a bottom reached in the stock market indexes, this is a crucial moment in time. There is no way the markets can find their bottom when they have no certainty – or even any real idea – about when business might resume and start getting the economy fully back on-line.

Markets were already soaring today on the prospect of the Democrats caving in and allowing the Senate stimulus measure to move through the process. The President’s move to set a firm target date for beginning to get the economy moving again will only serve to support that positive sentiment among investors longing for some good news.

As usual, President Trump’s sense of timing yesterday and today was impeccable. Be glad he’s your President.

That is all.

Another Monday, Two More Democrat/Media Hoaxes

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

We now have two new Democrat/media hoaxes underway. – As the President’s public approval ratings continue to flourish during this China Virus crisis, Democrats and their toadies in the corrupt news media have flitted about in a desperate search to find some narrative – any narrative at all would do – to knock them down.

Yesterday, they tried releasing the nation’s Unfrozen Caveman Senator from his hiding place, to give a “counter-briefing” on coronavirus matters. That strategy predictably crashed and burned as Quid Pro Joe couldn’t remember his dictated lines at the point at which the Teleprompter had a glitch:

Such are the hazards of having a presumptive nominee who is suffering from obvious advancing dementia. All told, Biden talked for about 8 minutes, safely at home with no reporters tossing vicious questions at him, and was so disastrous that ABC didn’t even mention it on its evening newscast. Contrast that to President Trump, who conducted a 90-minute update and handled hostile and idiotic questions from the depraved White House press corps for over an hour, and you see the Democrats’ problem here. The contrast is not just stark, but incredibly disturbing to anyone with a functional cerebral cortex.

So the Democrat/media complex of propaganda needed a new narrative with which to try to diminish the President’s performance. On Monday, they landed on one they completely made up out of whole cloth, and another tragic one that fell into their lap.

The “Where’s Anthony Fauci” narrative. – It has become apparent over the past 10 days or so that President Trump is increasingly uncomfortable with the draconian measures to control this virus being recommended to him by Dr. Anthony Fauci and the CDC. As the “remedy” to this latest in a long line of viruses brought to us by China increasingly appears to potentially be more deadly than the outbreak itself, Fauci’s time speaking during task force updates has decreased.

Things really seemed to get tense between the two last week when Fauci aggressively downplayed scientific, peer-reviewed studies and anecdotal evidence from China and South Korea that show that hydroxychloroquine can be very effective in actually curing the China Virus. Anyone who argues with the President immediately becomes a hero to the corrupt media; thus, Fauci’s absence from the podium created a mini-panic among the press corps.

After he failed to appear for the second consecutive day’s briefing on Monday, the news-fakers at the New York Times ran a piece that portrays Fauci, who has utterly failed to effectively deal with an array of viral outbreaks over his 40 year career, and whose CDC thinks nothing of losing upwards of 60,000 Americans to the common flu every year, as the second coming of Mother Teresa in an article laced with libelous false statements about the President. Because of course they did – it’s what these ghouls do for a living, after all.

Once the Times led the way, pretty much every other corrupt news outlet in America followed with parroting pieces of their own, containing all the anti-Trump talking points that went out in the evening memo from the DNC. All the hosts and leftist talking heads on CNN and MSNBC followed suit. This is how it all works.

UPDATE: For his own part, Dr. Fauci denied in a radio interview on Monday that there are any substantial differences between himself and President Trump related to dealing with this virus:

Key Quote: DR. FAUCI says media is trying to “pit” him against President Trump. “That is really unfortunate. I would wish that that would stop. … there are not differences. The president has listened to what I have said… The idea of pitting one against the other is just not helpful.”

What Dr. Fauci apparently fails to grasp is that our corrupt news media has no interest in being “helpful.” It’s only interest is in advancing the Democrat party line, and thus harming the bad Orange Man.

The “Chloroquine killed a guy!” narrative. – Early Monday evening, the corrupt news-fakers at The Hill broke a story that contained this absurdly deceptive headline:

Man dies after taking malaria medication in effort to prevent coronavirus

The story, of course, is supposedly about hydroxychloroquine, the malaria medication that President Trump has touted as a potential cure for the China Virus on several occasions in recent days. The problem with the headline is that this man – and his wife, who was also hospitalized – did NOT take the prescription medication being used to fight this virus, as the story itself even admits:

“A man has died and his wife is under critical care after the couple, both in their 60s, ingested chloroquine phosphate, an additive commonly used at aquariums to clean fish tanks. Within thirty minutes of ingestion, the couple experienced immediate effects requiring admittance to a nearby Banner Health hospital,” the statement read.

These people ingested FISH TANK CLEANER that contains chloroquine and expected it to somehow protect them. Here’s some good advice, folks: DON’T INGEST FISH TANK CLEANER, BECAUSE IT MIGHT KILL YOU. This is something most 5 year-old children understand.

You seriously could never make this stuff up. Not in a million years.

But hey, nevermind pesky things like facts and truth – the entirety of the fake, corrupt news media ran with this story anyway as if this couple’s tragic stupdity somehow means we cannot possibly use this cheap, well-known, safe drug that has been prescribed millions of times by doctors all over the world to fight the China Virus.

It is fair to once again remind you that many of the corporations who own these corrupt media outlets are heavily-invested in and from China, whose communist government gave us this plague.

These people hate you and want you dead. That reality has never been more clear than it is today.

That is all.
