Tired of all this WINNING yet? – Not tired of winning. Not even a little bit. President Donald Trump held a brief press conference on Sunday afternoon to announce that the FDA had approved the emergency use of convalescent plasma in the treatment of the viral gift from China. The move came after the FDA had determined that the use of the plasma, which is collected from patients who have had and recovered from the China virus, is safe and results in a significantly higher recovery rate for new patients.
Naturally, the corrupt news media was outraged, and the President cut the presser short after receiving a stupid question from one of the assembled reporters. But the media’s childish behavior isn’t keeping the markets from reacting positively this morning, as Dow futures jumped up over the 28,000 mark:
Here’s the reality about the media’s pathetic reaction to this great news for COVID sufferers: They know that good news on COVID means good news for the economy, and that in turn means good news for President Trump’s chances of re-election. These are, in other words, people who are actively hoping their fellow Americans will continue to die from the virus because they believe it helps Joe Biden and the communist Democrats.
That’s a pretty special kind of ghoulishness right there.

Any questions?
The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board blasts Biden’s big mistake. – On Friday, Creepy Uncle Quid Pro Handsy Farty China Joe Biden told a fawning fake reporter in an interview aired last night that he’d be happy as hell to shut the U.S. economy down again next year if “scientists” like societal menace Anthony Fauci told him to do so. Today, the WSJ editorial board blasts the Unfrozen Caveman Candidate for what is going to turn out to be a major campaign mistake:
Now we know why his advisers have kept Joe Biden under wraps. Asked in an ABC interview airing Sunday night whether he’d be willing to shut down the economy again to head off a new wave of coronavirus infection, he replied: “I would shut it down. I would listen to the scientists.”
Ah, the resort to scientists. But which scientists? The truth is that the experts have been wrong numerous times in this pandemic, and they often disagree. They first said masks don’t help but now say they do. They said ventilators were vital but soon learned other clinical methods worked better. Most of all, they counseled strict lockdowns, but we’ve learned the hard way that shutting down the country can be more costly than the virus.
President Trump listened to his public-health advisers in March and ordered a two-week shutdown that extended to six weeks. The shutdown dragged on as infections and deaths in the Northeast surged, though hospital beds in most of the country remained empty. Thirty million Americans filed for unemployment by the end of April, and states slowly began to lift their lockdowns as the economic and public-health damage became unsustainable.
The high costs are slowly becoming known. A study this month in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) reports that newly identified cancers fell 46.4% from March 1 to April 18, which will likely lead to cancers detected at more advanced stages with worse clinical outcomes.
Doctors at the Cleveland Clinic last month reported the incidence of stress-induced cardiomyopathy from March 1 to April 30 increased four-fold. Doctors at Tufts Medical Center last month warned that psychological distress, fear and emotional stress, “coupled with worse clinical outcomes when patients avoid seeking effective care, creates a double hit from this pandemic in which morbidity and mortality associated with cardiac disease might well overtake the risks directly linked to the virus itself.”
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention last week reported that 13.3% of Americans in June said they had increased substance use to cope with pandemic-related stress. About half of those ages 18 to 24 reported severe anxiety and depression, and a quarter said they had seriously considered suicide in the last 30 days.
People being cooped up at home for long periods amid enormous stress has also led to an increase in domestic violence. A new study from Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston reports a spike in injuries indicative of domestic abuse, especially severe injuries from strangulation and use of weapons, from March 11 to May 3.
[End]
On and on it goes. There is literally no “science” or data that indicates that lockdowns are effective in any way in reducing the death count. Any “scientist” who continues to counsel for lockdowns after the calamitous results that the Fauci/Birx/CDC lockdown as wrought on our country should be sent to Gitmo and locked down for good.
But that’s who Biden would listen to if he’s elected. Hopefully, the President has learned his lesson about listening to Fauci the hard way.
On the not-so-good-news front… – White House Senior Adviser Kellyanne Conway announced that she is leaving her post at the end of the month. Conway said she is leaving in order to spend more time with her family, which, given that her family includes her piggish nitwit husband George Conway, will not be the most pleasant task, but no doubt her children need more time with their mother.
George Conway simultaneously announced he would be leaving his current joke endeavor, the Lincoln Project, a NeverTrump operation that consists of about 40 country club Republicans rationalizing ways to support the Marxist/Anarchist policies currently being pushed by the communist Democrats. With both Kellyanne and George now spending more time together at home, the situation would seem ripe for a reality TV series on Bravo.
But seriously, everyone should wish Kellyanne well: She has persevered through almost four years of constant Democrat assault on her boss and conspiracy mongering by the corrupt news media and somehow managed to do it all with a style and grace few others would have been able to muster. She apparently still loves her piggish, dimwitted slob of a husband, but hey, everyone makes their choices in life.
Meanwhile, in Portland, Oregon… – Democrat-sponsored rioters in Portland managed to set a police precinct station on fire during their 86th consecutive night of rioting, as reported by the great Andy Ngo:
