Wednesday News Roundup: Trump Puts Pence on the Hot Seat as the Dems Win the Senate

Oh, noes! Not Kim and Kanye! – In the major breaking news of Tuesday, Kim Kardashian is filing for a divorce from Kanye West:

Here, Glenn Greenwald sums up my feelings about Kelly Loeffler’s career in 280 characters:

None of what took place in Georgia yesterday would have happened had corrupt Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp done the right thing and appointed then-Congressman Doug Collins to the vacant Georgia Senate seat in 2019. Instead, he picked the moneyed Kelly Loeffler because, well, she’s married to a billionaire and Kemp no doubt profited handsomely from his appointment of said billionaire’s wife.

In stark contrast to Collins, a preacher who is not a moneyed individual, Loeffler is your standard-issue country club Republican who has all the political appeal to the Trump support base of an over-ripe turnip. She and David Perdue, another standard-issue country club Republican, both lost on Tuesday because GOP voter turnout was highly depressed across the state.

Gee, wonder why it would be depressed? Oh, we can try to blame it all on Mitch McConnell for his refusal to allow the Senate to vote on a clean $2,000 COVID relief payment. After all, polls show that late-deciding voters who voted for the Democrats cited their desire for the money as their main reason for their irrational decision.

Or we can try to blame it all on President Trump for his fully justified bashing of Governor Kemp and Secretary Raffensperger. And really, this probably was a factor.

But the reality is that the Georgia runoffs presented conservatives with the same bad choice they faced in the 2008 and 2012 presidential elections: A choice between voting for a fake conservative or staying home. Now, we’re supposed to be surprised that thousands of those voters stayed home? Please.

Thus, as with everything else that has taken place in this travesty of an election season in Georgia, the preponderance of the blame for it all must be laid at the doorstep of the state’s travesty of a Governor, with a major supporting role going to the utterly corrupt Secretary of State, Brad Raffensperger. Georgia Republicans now know who to blame, but the safe money says they will nominate these two grifter RINOs all over again when the run for re-election in 2022.

The crowd in DC today will be epic. – Here is what Freedom plaza looked like at about 3:00 on Tuesday:

The NFL didn’t attract that many fans combined to its game throughout the 2020 season. And that’s the day before the big event, with hundreds of thousands of freedom-loving Americans still en route to the nation’s capital.

The President himself will be speaking at the event at 11:00 Eastern time:

You can be sure that this speech will be epic. What happens after that is anyone’s guess.

He should’ve taken the train. – An entire plane-load of such Americans happened to be joined on their flight out of Salt Lake City by the king of all the RINOs, Mitt Romney. During the flight, they treated the despicable traitor to a very appropriate serenade:

While that was going on, CNN was treating its viewers to the single most intellectually-bankrupt panel discussion in world history:

Hard to imagine who even thinks of putting together such a panel of screeching dimwits. If these people did not already exist, you could never in a million years make them up.

It’s fine for me but not for thee. – While those and many other raging asshats on cable news channels declare Republicans who will challenge the official Electoral College results in today’s joint session of congress to be engaging in sedition and even treason, MRCTV put together this clip from the salad days in which Democrats challenging the official election results was, you know, cool and stuff or something:

Meanwhile, at the joint session of congress… – The pressure will be on Vice President Mike Pence to do what he has no apparent constitutional authority to do, and unilaterally reject the electoral slates from states who conducted clearly fraudulent elections on November 3, regardless of how congress actually votes today.

President Trump apparently believes Pence does somehow have this authority, though, and sent out this tweet last night making that belief crystal clear:

Hooboy. Not a great day to be the Veep, with your boss expecting you to perform a miracle, and a million ordinary Americans on the streets of DC backing him up.

To be clear: I really, really wish Vice President Pence did have the authority to take the action that the GOP controlled state legislatures of Georgia, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin and Arizona have been too cowardly to take on their own authority – authority which is actually granted in the Constitution. But it’s pretty clear that Pence has no such authority, and he swore an oath to uphold the Constitution. Thus, it’s also pretty clear that President Trump and a million Americans on the streets of DC are going to go away late today very disappointed with the ultimate outcome from the day’s events.

The bottom line: What we Trump supporters want to happen today is just not how the system works. Our disappointment and ire should be focused on the state legislatures named above and on the federal courts that have also refused to properly weigh in on the massive fraud deployed by the Democrats to steal this election.

Because those are the people who truly failed to honor their oaths to uphold the constitution, not Vice President Pence.

Georgia Proves That The Politics Of Anarchy And Deprivation Work

Here’s what Georgia voted for on Tuesday:

That’s really the bottom line here: Georgia and the rest of America want anarchy, and that’s what the Democrat Party will bring us over the next four years, and, if they have their way in congress, into perpetuity here in the United States. Because make no mistake about it: The 2020 elections were an endorsement for the politics of anarchy and deprivation.

The Democrat Party used riots, looting and the burning of formerly great American cities that their mayors control as political tools throughout 2020. Their calculation was that their friends in the corrupt news media would blame it all on President Donald Trump – which they did – on the pretense that viewers couldn’t believe what was happening before their own eyes, and it worked.

Admit it: It did work. If the results of this election prove nothing else, they prove the wisdom of this stunningly depraved political calculation by the Democrat Party. That should not surprise you, since the Democrat Party has been stunningly depraved since its inception.

Anarchy works. At the same time they pursue insane policies of defunding and otherwise hamstringing the police, Democrat mayors across the country are still releasing violent criminals from their prisons en masse, using COVID as their excuse, and then they and their media toadies shrug their shoulders and shift blame to Republicans for the fact that rates of sex crimes and other violent crimes are rocketing skywards up to early 1990s levels.

Anarchy works. While all that is going on, Democrat county and district attorneys funded by George Soros front groups refuse to hold violent criminals on bail when they are arrested or prosecute them when the time for trial comes. And then they and their media toadies shrug their shoulders and blame Republicans for the resultant skyrocketing crime rate.

Deprivation works, especially the brutish kind. Democrat governors across the country spent the final 9 months of 2020 depriving their populations of their basic constitutional freedoms of religion, assembly, speech and the pursuit of happiness, and they all won. Their states all remained blue states in November. Think of the signal that sends to depraved politicians who are mad for power.

Deprivation works. Democrat politicians running in the general election promised to massively increase your taxes and to restore the federal government to what they see as its rightful role of micro-controlling every aspect of your daily existence. They promised more defunding of the police, more releasing of violent criminals, the elimination of bail and more refusals to prosecute those few who are arrested, and voters said “cool!” and voted for them.

So now, although neither David Perdue nor Kelly Loeffler have conceded their losses in Georgia as of this writing, the outcome is crystal clear: Democrats will control every lever of power in Washington, DC for at least the coming two years. That is baked into the cake, folks, and think of the signal that sends to depraved politicians who are mad for power.

The signal it sends is that the politics of anarchy and deprivation works. It tells them that using riots as just another arrow in their political quiver now has the endorsement of a majority of Americans, at least when you let Dominion Systems count the ballots. It tells them that a majority of Americans are not only ok with being deprived of their basic rights under the constitution, but that most Americans don’t even know what those rights are, thanks to the raging dumpster fire that is our public school system.

America is back to the horror of 2009 all over again, only worse. This time our incoming President is an elderly, life-long circus clown buffoon of a human being who doesn’t know where he is much of the time. Where Barack Obama was a scheming, anti-American Machiavellian monster, Biden is merely a sock puppet for a vast array of such monsters who will write his every spoken word and control his every action, while feeding him his tapioca pudding in the morning.

Worse than that, Biden’s designated successor, who will take over for him when he resigns in a few months, is a combination of a scheming, anti-American Machiavellian monster and a sock puppet for the same vast array who will control Biden. That’s quite the combination of skillsets for someone who will soon hold the most powerful job on earth.

The coming two years will be filled with rising levels of anarchy and deprivation, the tools the globalists have desperately sought to use to achieve their Great Reset and turn the formerly free nation of America into a socialist police state. Now, they have it all for one simple reason: Because the politics of anarchy and deprivation work, and have now been fully endorsed by the American public.

At least according to Dominion Systems, America’s new ultimate election authority.

Tuesday News Roundup: Assange Asylum, Georgia Shenanigans and Ron DeSantis 2024

Let’s start with some “In Case You Missed It” items that I skipped over the last couple of days:

First, there’s the fact that a judge in England has denied the U.S. extradition request for WikiLeaks publisher Julian Assange, and will set bail for him later this week.

From a report at the Philadelphia Inquirer:

A British judge on Monday rejected the United States’ request to extradite WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange to face espionage charges over the publication of secret U.S. documents a decade ago, saying he was likely to kill himself if held under harsh U.S. prison conditions.

In a mixed ruling for Assange and his supporters, District Judge Vanessa Baraitser rejected defense arguments that the 49-year-old Australian faces a politically motivated American prosecution that rides roughshod over free-speech protections. But she said Assange’s precarious mental health would likely deteriorate further under the conditions of “near total isolation” he would face in a U.S. prison.

“I find that the mental condition of Mr. Assange is such that it would be oppressive to extradite him to the United States of America,” the judge said.

Lawyers for the U.S. government said they would appeal the decision, and the U.S. Department of Justice said it would continue to seek Assange’s extradition.

Then there’s the additional news that Mexico’s President Obrador has made an offer of full asylum for Assange: 

On top of all of that, the Prime Minister of Australia said on Monday that Assange would be free to return to that country once all of the British court proceedings have been completed and he has been released. From a story at The Hill:

Australia’s prime minister said Tuesday that his government would allow Julian Assange to return home should efforts fail to extradite the Wikileaks founder from London to face charges in the U.S.

Reuters reported that Scott Morrison made the remarks during a radio interview, telling the hosts that he had no inside information on Assange’s legal battles but adding that Australian consulate services are available to him and all other Australians.

“Well, the justice system is making its way and we’re not a party to that. And like any Australian, they’re offered consular support and should, you know, the appeal fail, obviously he would be able to return to Australia like any other Australian,” Morrison said.

“So, yes, it’s just a straightforward process of the legal system in the U.K. working its way through,” he continued, according to Reuters.

This is all important news in the U.S. for one simple reason: Julian Assange knows where all the bodies are buried, especially where the Democrat Party is concerned. More to the point, he knows the truth about the murder of Seth Rich, a truth that the DNC can never allow to come to light.

This is a story to watch closely.

In case you believe Kelly Loeffler is a real part of the solution in Washington, well, think again. – Loeffler is married to the owner of the New York Stock Exchange, billionaire Jeff Sprecher. On Monday, even as his wifey was participating in a rally held by President Donald Trump on her behalf, Sprecher and his organization announced that it would defy a Trump executive order demanding that the NYSE and other U.S. stock exchanges de-list certain corporations controlled by the Chinese Communist Party.

If you are wondering if those “relevant regulatory authorities” included representatives of the ChiCom party, trust me, you are not alone.

Don’t get me wrong here: We need either Loeffler or David Perdue to win today’s runoff because their votes would deny Democrat efforts to eliminate the senate filibuster rule and prevent the stacking of the U.S. Supreme Court. But if you’ve been hoping Loeffler might actually a be a real reform-minded conservative who would support efforts to roll back the machinations of the DC Swamp, well, just let that go. She’s just Mitt Romney with long blonde hair, and Perdue is no better.

So, what do the polls in Georgia look like? – I predicted two weeks ago that a deal has been cut that would allow Loeffler to win her seat, while David Perdue would lose to John Ossoff. The only poll worth taking a look at, from the Trafalgar Group, shows – guess what? – Loeffler leading and Perdue trailing:

As I write elsewhere this morning, it all ultimately depends on how the Dominion Systems machines have been programmed. I’m betting they’ve been programmed to produce a split outcome.

The Georgia Runoffs: The Democrat Party’s Best Chance to Destroy the American Republic

The year 2020 will commit its final act against the American Republic today in Georgia. There, the runoff elections for Georgia’s two U.S. senate will be completed and the votes “tabulated,” as far as real votes are actually tabulated in any election in America anymore.

Whether they have been cast by actual Georgia residents, by Democrats who have “moved” into Georgia over the last month solely for the purpose of voting, or flown in from a ballot mill staffed by illegal aliens working in sweatshop conditions in Philadelphia for a dollar a day, those ballots will be fed into Dominion Systems “voting” machines that are illegally linked over the Internet with every other machine in the state. Once the initial tabulation has been completed, Democrat vote “adjudicators” will then determine how many more ballots their candidates need in order to “win” the elections.

And all of it will be done under the watchful eye of Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, the nominal Republican who oversaw the massive fraud that took place in the state on November 3. Were it not for Raffensperger’s efforts, GOP candidate David Perdue would have won his election outright, and would already have been sworn in to serve his next term in office, so we know where the Sec. State’s real loyalties lie.

President Donald Trump held a rally in Georgia last night for Perdue and the other GOP candidate, Kelly Loeffler. There, he unambiguously called out Raffensperger and Georger Gov. Brian Kemp for their despicable conduct in allowing the state’s election system to become a corrupt scandal. He also promised to campaign against both men when they come up for re-election in 2022.

By then, of course, it will be too late. The “elections” to be completed today will determine which party controls a majority in the U.S. Senate, and if the Dominion machines are able to create enough votes to put Democrats Raphael Warnock and John Ossoff over the top, then some silly elections for governor and sec. state in Georgia won’t really matter much, as the Republic will have already been lost.

Wins by both Democrats today – oh, hell, who are we kidding, we won’t really know who “won” for many days afterwards if Raffensperger has anything to say about it – will enable the Democrat Party to literally destroy our constitutional system of government. Given control of all levers of political power, the Democrats will be able to follow through on their promises to eliminate the senate filibuster, pack the Supreme Court, implement confiscatory taxes on the American middle class, and bestow all manner of executive powers on the president that China Joe Potato Head Biden will be able to use to implement their radical COVID-19 and Climate Change agendas, which at this point are completely intertwined with one another.

With the help of corrupt RINOs in Georgia and in the courts, the Democrat Party succeeded during 2020 in consolidating its 50-year goal of destroying America’s system of free elections. Today is their chance to put the final nail in place in the Party’s 150-year march towards the destruction of the American Republic.

Unless some behind-the-scenes deal has been cut to award one of these crucial senate seats to Loeffler or Perdue, America will be rendered essentially helpless in the face of Democrat tyranny for at least the next two years, and likely longer.

I think I’ll go take an Imodium and go back to bed. Wake me up when it’s over. Or better yet, don’t.

Wednesday News Roundup: There is a Method to Mitch McConnell’s Evil Madness

PSA for Today: How “concerned” is Susan Collins? – Maine RINO Senator Susan Collins is “concerned” this morning. She’s “concerned” that communist Democrat Bernie Sanders is holding up the senate’s effort to override President Trump’s veto of the massive Defense bill, and she’s “concerned” that the bill that would amp up the COVID relief payout from $600 to $2,000 doesn’t phase the money out fast enough in order to deny any of the payments going to the taxpayers who actually fund 80% of the damn government.

That’s what Susan Collins is “concerned” about this morning. But how “concerned” is Susan Collins? One Twitter user was kind enough to produce this graphic showing the Senator’s facial expressions depending on the magnitude of her “concern” to make it easier for us to understand just exactly how “concerned” she really is:

Speaking of that Defense Authorization Bill… – Although Sen. Collins chose to focus her “concern” on him, Sen. Bernie Sanders is not the only member of the U.S. Senate holding it up. Republican Josh Hawley also let it be known that he would not agree to unanimous consent on the vetoed bill until the Senate has moved to approve the higher COVID payments:

Hawley is right: The Defense bill should indeed remain vetoed until it is amended to include repeal of Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, or both houses of Congress act to approve the COVID Relief legislation introduced late yesterday by Mitch McConnell, which does include a repeal provision. McConnell had killed a stand-alone relief bill earlier in the day, setting off predictable howls of outrage from all sectors of the DC Swamp.

The Swamp hates McConnell’s bill because the Swamp, which has become a wholly-0wned subsidiary of Big Tech and the ChiComs, loves Section 230, and it also detests the provision in McConnell’s bill that would establish a commission to “study” voter fraud during the 2020 elections. My goodness, does the Swamp hate that stuff.

McConnell, on the other hand, doesn’t give a tinker’s damn if any of this stuff is passed into law. He couldn’t care less personally about COVID relief; is himself firmly in the pocket of Big Tech; and has not uttered a word of concern over the past two months about the blatantly stolen presidential election. McConnell also dearly wants the Defense Authorization Act (DAA) to pass into law, and thus will never agree to attach Section 230 repeal to it.

And there’s the other thing to understand about McConnell: He knows most of the members of the U.S. Senate hate at least two of the three provisions contained in his bill and will never vote to approve them in stand-alone legislation. So, what better way to kill higher COVID payments and Section 230 repeal than to combine them in a package with this commission on voter fraud, and use his position as Senate Majority Leader to ensure that this is the only bill containing any of these provisions that the Senate will consider.

He is banking on the calculation that his combined bill will go down in flames and leave members like Hawley, a pro-Defense conservative, little choice but to approve the DAA over President Trump’s veto or put the Pentagon in a bind.

So, if you spent most of yesterday wondering just what in the hell McConnell was doing, well, now you know the method to his madness. Whether you approve of him or not, Cocaine Mitch is a pure genius at using Senate process to his advantage.

But, but, but… what about the Georgia runoff elections? – The other thing you have to understand about McConnell is that he really doesn’t give much of a damn if he is in the majority or the minority. He’s going to make his money either way, and he only has to work half as hard to do that if he is in the minority.

Thus, Cocaine Mitch had a deaf ear to all those screams from conservatives that his machinations in the Senate would undermine the ability of Republicans Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue to win their runoff elections and preserve the GOP’s Senate majority. Mitch just doesn’t much care about that. He has been the Majority Leader multiple times now, and he has also been the Minority Leader multiple times now. He just doesn’t really care which it is – just point him to which palatial office he gets to occupy in the Capitol Building for the next two years come January, and he will adjust his scheming accordingly.

Again, you don’t have to approve of what McConnell does and how he operates – I certainly don’t. But to do have to understand why he does what he does in order to understand what is really happening in the Senate on any given day. It may be evil genius, but it is pure genius.

Today’s Required Reading – Today’s Required Reading is a piece by Glenn Greenwald at Substack titled “The Threat of Authoritarianism in the U.S. is Very Real, and Has Nothing To Do With Trump“.

Greenwald, who is a nominal liberal but only in the traditional sense of that word, brilliantly lays out the scope and magnitude of the threat that Big Tech represents to the survival of our Republic. Here’s an excerpt from the long-ish piece just to whet your whistle.:

Asserting that Donald Trump is a fascist-like dictator threatening the previously sturdy foundations of U.S. democracy has been a virtual requirement over the last four years to obtain entrance to cable news Green Rooms, sinecures as mainstream newspaper columnists, and popularity in faculty lounges. Yet it has proven to be a preposterous farce.

In 2020 alone, Trump had two perfectly crafted opportunities to seize authoritarian power — a global health pandemic and sprawling protests and sustained riots throughout American cities — and yet did virtually nothing to exploit those opportunities. Actual would-be despots such as Hungary’s Viktor Orbán quickly seized on the virus to declare martial law, while even prior U.S. presidents, to say nothing of foreign tyrants, have used the pretext of much less civil unrest than what we saw this summer to deploy the military in the streets to pacify their own citizenry.

But early in the pandemic, Trump was criticized, especially by Democrats, for failing to assert the draconian powers he had, such as commandeering the means of industrial production under the Defense Production Act of 1950, invoked by Truman to force industry to produce materials needed for the Korean War. In March, The Washington Post reported that “Governors, Democrats in Congress and some Senate Republicans have been urging Trump for at least a week to invoke the act, and his potential 2020 opponent, Joe Biden, came out in favor of it, too,” yet “Trump [gave] a variety of reasons for not doing so.” Rejecting demands to exploit a public health pandemic to assert extraordinary powers is not exactly what one expects from a striving dictator.

A similar dynamic prevailed during the sustained protests and riots that erupted after the killing of George Floyd. While conservatives such as Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AK), in his controversial New York Times op-ed, urged the mass deployment of the military to quell the protesters, and while Trump threatened to deploy them if governors failed to pacify the riots, Trump failed to order anything more than a few isolated, symbolic gestures such as having troops use tear gas to clear out protesters from Lafayette Park for his now-notorious walk to a church, provoking harsh criticism from the right, including Fox News, for failing to use more aggressive force to restore order.

Georgia’s Corrupt Elections System Little Changed for Runoffs

How rigged is the system in Georgia? – So rigged that state judges rule that it is illegal for election officials to purge out-of-state voters from the voter rolls. Check out this story:

A federal judge in Georgia on Monday ordered two counties to reverse a decision removing more than 4,000 voters from the rolls ahead of the Jan. 5 runoff elections that will decide control of the U.S. Senate.

The judge, Leslie Abrams Gardner — the sister of former gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, a prominent ally of President-elect Joe Biden who has led voter registration efforts across the state — concluded that the counties appeared to have improperly relied on unverified change-of-address data to invalidate registrations in the two counties.

The bulk of the registrations that the counties sought to rescind, more than 4,000, were in Muscogee County, which Biden won handily in November. An additional 150 were from Ben Hill County, which Trump won by a wide margin.

The suit, brought by national Democratic Party attorney Marc Elias’ group Democracy Forward, followed an effort to challenge the lengthy roster of voters simply because their registrations appeared to match U.S. Postal Service change-of address records.

Get that? When it is delivering hundreds of thousands of mail-in ballots that no one requested and that are to be used by Democrats for massive voter fraud, the Postal Service is good. When its data is used to clean up voter rolls – as it has been for two centuries now – the Postal Service is bad.

And good Lord, Stacey Abrams has a sister who is a judge.

But Democrats are not the only problem in Georgia’s voting system, or even the biggest problem. That designation must go to Governor Brian Kemp, who, while serving as Sec. of State, executed his state’s deal with Dominion Systems to use their rigged voting hardware and software, and current Sec. of State Brad Raffensperger, whose office willingly and with obvious malice aforethought enabled the massive fraud that took place in their state.

In an interview with Newsmax yesterday, Dick Morris did a great job of succinctly summing up how Raffensperger helped Stacey Abrams and her fellow Dems pull off the scam:

“Raffensperger refused to allow double-verification for signatures on absentee and mail-in ballots and required one only, even though it is expressly required by Georgia state law to have two,” Morris said. “Raffensperger refused to invalidate ballots that were not signed on the outside outer envelope, or ballots where the outer envelopes were destroyed. Which means you have a ballot voting for Biden, but you have no idea who cast it, and whether he’s [or she’s] eligible.”

“He refused to give the Republican Party, as statutorily required within a reasonable time, a list of the people who voted so they could see who died and who moved away and challenge the results,” Morris said. “He allowed the election inspectors and watchers to throw Republicans out during the balloting process or to confined them to what they call the ‘coral’ in the distant part of the room where they couldn’t see the paper ballots or the verification.

“These are serious problems.”

Now, here’s the thing to understand about the twin senate runoff elections that are about to happen in this bipartisanly corrupt state next Tuesday:  With one small exception designed to count the fraud faster, the exact same voting procedures deployed during the general election are still in place and the same Dominion machines and software are still being used.

What’s the one exception? Vote “counters” will be required to start counting the early votes – more than 1.4 million have already been “cast” – no later than December 30, rather than waiting until Election Night, according to a report at JustTheNews.com:

Counties in Georgia will be allowed to begin tallying absentee and mail-in ballots prior to the Jan. 5 Senate runoff elections, according to a spokesperson from the Georgia Secretary of State’s office. This policy reflects a change from the controversial Nov. 3 election process.

Counties will be permitted to begin their ballot count two weeks ahead of the election, and will be required to start their count by Dec. 30. The goal of the policy is faster election results on Jan. 5. In November, the Georgia vote took days to tally before the state was prepared to announce unofficial results.

Despite Trump Rally, Things are not Looking Good in Georgia Runoffs

This happened in Valdosta, Georgia last night:

Thousands of Georgians turned out to see President Donald Trump speak, exemplars of the 75 million Americans who voted for him in November and who won’t be just fading into the woodwork in the wake of this clearly stolen election. At several junctures throughout the night, the crowd of patriots loudly stated what they intend to keep doing:

Naturally, no TV outlet carried the rally as the corrupt media continues its efforts to bully the public into accepting an election stolen vial massive voter fraud, but the event attracted hundreds of thousands of viewer via various livestreams:

The rally was ostensibly held to build support for Georgia’s two RINO senate candidates, Kelly Loeffler – an appointee of corrupt RINO Gov. Brian Kemp – and Sonny Perdue, who has all the leadership qualities of the average river flounder. The President called the two candidates up onto the stage to speak to the crowd, but they both cut themselves short, as Loeffler’s utterly embarrassing speech was met with only tepid applause and the crowd simply drowned Perdue out with another round of its’ “Fight For Trump” chant.

Vernon Jones, the Democrat Georgia State Representative turned Trump supporter, told an interviewer that these Senate runoff elections are vital to the country’s future: “As Georgia goes, the country goes,” he said.

And he’s right. As repugnant as Loeffler and Perdue might be to Trump supporters, Georgia presents the voters with yet another choice between useless RINOs who care only about power and greed but would likely vote the right way most of the time, and two radical Democrats who want to destroy the American Republic. Trump is trying to convince his army of supporters to once again hold their collective noses and turn out en masse to ensure the RINOs win.

The big problem is this: These Trump supporters clearly see Kemp and Sec. of State Brad Raffensperger doing nothing whatsoever to ensure that the method of counting votes – you know, the method that allowed the Democrats to steal the state for Joe Biden on November 3 – is changed for the January runoffs. In fact, these two obviously corrupt officials have spent the last month twisting themselves into pretzels in their frantic efforts to avoid changing a damn thing.

To make things even worse, neither Perdue nor Loeffler are visibly doing anything to urge their fellow RINOs to act to secure the process.

It’s hard to expect the Trump army to get itself all worked up to get out and support this collection of surrender monkeys in the absence of the slightest sign of good faith from a single one of them. Thus, unless something truly major happens to shift that current dynamic in the state, no one should expect either GOP candidate to prevail on January 5. Even if they collect more legal votes than their opponents, the Democrats will just go create as many as they need to change the outcome, and do it all under the not-so-watchful eyes of Kemp and Raffensperger.

“If we don’t vote, we will lose the country,” Loeffler said before she exited the stage in embarrassment. While that is almost certainly true, it remains a mystery why Loeffler and Perdue continue to refuse to do anything real to make sure Trump voters turn out for them.

It’s as if the RINO-dominated Georgia GOP actually wants to lose. We should all ask ourselves why that would be the case.

Richard Burr’s Betrayal and Stupidity Comes Back to Haunt Him

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II

As Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee over the past three years, North Carolina RINO Senator Richard Burr coordinated efforts with the ranking minority member, Virginia Sen. Mark Warner, to run interference for the coup cabal’s efforts within the DOJ and FBI to take down the duly-elected President, Donald Trump. Today, he might be regretting his seditious actions.

Last night, Burr was repaid for his troubles by the FBI with a raid on his home in a search for evidence related to allegations that he traded a huge amount of stocks in February based on insider information about the extent of the Wuhan Virus problem in the U.S. Burr was also forced to turn over his telephone in the process of the FBI raid.

From a report in today’s Daily Caller:

The FBI seized Republican North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr’s cell phone Wednesday night after serving a search warrant as part of an investigation into whether the Republican made illegal stock trades based on insider information about the coronavirus pandemic, a law enforcement official told The Los Angeles Times.

The Times reported that FBI agents served the warrant on Burr at his home in the Washington, D.C. area. Burr turned over his phone to investigators, according to the newspaper.

At the time Burr’s stock trades became public news, he gave the lame excuse that he made the trades himself based on having watched a show on CNBC. At the same time, trades made by Republican Sen. Kelly Loeffler and Democrat Sen. from China Dianne Feinstein also became public, but those two senators had had the foresight to place their stockholdings in a blind trust, and thus had third party brokers handling their stock transactions.

So, Burr is being singled out here, but for once there doesn’t seem to be any partisan motivation behind it. He’s just not very bright.

Other than what little support he might receive from his many fellow RINOs in the Senate, Burr will find himself a man alone in this fight. Given that RINOs are as a class the most cowardly bunch of hacks in Washington, he probably won’t receive any support from his “friends,” either.

One thing is certain: Few if any supporters of President Trump will waste even a minute of time worrying about his well-being. Florida Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz, a stauch Trump supporter, made this clear in an interview with Tucker Carlson, during which he said this:

“Richard Burr is a disgrace. He should be removed as the intelligence chairman immediately as a result of this conduct and as Republicans in the Trump era, we have an obligation to say we do not want corrupt acts to be associated with our tribe,” Gaetz insisted.

“And Republicans need to start stepping up and speaking out because what Richard Burr did in the Senate stock sell-off is not something that we want our brand associated with.”

Mid-Day Update: DOJ Investigating Burr, Accountability for Chloroquine Critics

Boom. Will we actually get a little justice from the Department of Justice? – Ok, the report is from CNN, so don’t get your hopes up overly-much, but still: CNN reported Monday morning that the DOJ is coordinating with the SEC to investigate the suspicious stock trades made by RINO North Carolina Senator Richard Burr:

The Justice Department has started to probe a series of stock transactions made by lawmakers ahead of the sharp market downturn stemming from the spread of coronavirus, according to two people familiar with the matter.

The inquiry, which is still in its early stages and being done in coordination with the Securities and Exchange Commission, has so far included outreach from the FBI to at least one lawmaker, Sen. Richard Burr, seeking information about the trades, according to one of the sources.
Public scrutiny of the lawmakers’ market activity has centered on whether members of Congress sought to profit from the information they obtained in non-public briefings about the virus epidemic.
Burr, the North Carolina Republican who heads the Senate Intelligence Committee, has previously said that he relied only on public news reports as he decided to sell between $628,000 and $1.7 million in stocks on February 13. Earlier this month, he asked the Senate Ethics Committee to review the trades given “the assumption many could make in hindsight,” he said at the time.

If you remember, early reports on suspicious stock trades made by various senators during February also included trades made by Democrat Dianne Feinstein and Republican Kelly Loeffler. Both Feinstein and Loeffler were able to establish plausible deniability through having put their securities into blind trusts managed by professional financial advisors. Burr, on the other hand, laughably claimed to have made his decision based on reports he watched on CNBC, even though he made them almost immediately following having received a disturbing briefing on the potential impacts of the coronavirus.

His position here is frankly indefensible, and everyone involved has to know it. But we all know how corrupted the DOJ remains even under current Attorney General William Barr, and how it works to protect members in good standing of the DC Swamp. Given that Burr qualifies as a life member of the Swamp thanks to his utterly corrupt chairmanship of the Senate Intelligence Committee, everyone should temper any hope of the DOJ actually making any effort to do anything other than cover this entire episode up.

Put your health where your narrative is, Democrats. – This morning’s Campaign Update covered the FDA’s move to approve hydroxycholoroquine for prescription use in fighting the Wuhan Virus, COVID-19. That news has now been supplemented by the news that the health agencies in both France and Italy have now issued similar approvals, as scientific and anecdotal evidence of the drug’s effectiveness in treating the virus continues to mount.

Yet, despite all of this official adoption of this safe, well-known, affordable and plentiful drug for treating the Wuhan Virus, Democrats and their corrupt media toadies here in the U.S. continue their campaign to demonize hydroxychloroquine for purely political purposes. In one of the latest moves on this front, Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis ordered a huge shipment of the drug while Democrat governors in Nevada and Michigan were issuing orders to prevent their citizens from benefiting from its use.

Meanwhile, corrupt media outlets like CNN continue to issue biased reports denying the growing body of evidence confirming the drug’s effectiveness:

Given the rank dishonesty and danger to normal citizens involved in this ongoing false Democrat/media narrative, here is a humble proposition:

President Trump should appoint an “Accountability Czar.” This person’s job would be to compile an official list of all the craven Democrat politicians and corrupt media outlets who are pushing this latest propaganda hoax, and to coordinate with the CDC, the FDA and state and local officials to ensure that no one who engages in this hoax in an active way is able to obtain treatment involving hydroxychloroquine in the tragic event that they become ill with the Wuhan Virus.

Let’s allow these corrupt individuals to put their health where their narrative is, and see how it all turns out for them. Hell, I’ll even volunteer for the job.

Why Senator Richard Burr May be in Deep Doo-doo

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Congress’s seamy underbelly floats up to the surface. – On his Fox News show last night, host Tucker Carlson lambasted Senator Richard Burr – chairman of the corrupt Senate Intelligence Committee – and demanded his resignation for off-loading millions of dollars in stock investments immediately after learning of the threat of the coronavirus.

You may have seen the news reports this afternoon that the Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee sold more than a million dollars in stock in mid-February after learning how devastating the Chinese coronavirus could be. He had inside information about what could happen to our country – which is now happening – but he didn’t warn the public. He didn’t give a prime-time address. He didn’t go on television to sound the alarm.

He didn’t even disavow  the op/ed he’d written just 10 days before, claiming that America was “better prepared than ever for coronavirus.” He didn’t do any of those things. Instead, what did he do? He dumped his shares in hotel stocks so he wouldn’t lose money, and then he stayed silent.

Now, maybe there’s an honest explanation for what he did; if there is, he should share it with the rest of us immediately. Otherwise, he must resign from the Senate and face prosecution for insider trading. There is no greater moral crime than betraying your country in a time of crisis, and that appears to be what happened.

Now, that’s all great: I have long been a critic of Burr, a useless RINO who has used his chairmanship of the Senate Intel Committee to literally cover up crimes committed against the Trump Campaign and Administration by the Obama-era coup cabal within the DOJ and the Intelligence Community. If he did engage in insider trading then he should resign and be prosecuted.

But let’s be honest here: If you think Burr is the only member of congress who has engaged in this kind of action over the past couple of months, you live in a fairy tale world.

The New York Times ran a report yesterday documenting similar actions by several other senators, including Kelly Loeffler (R-GA), Jim Inhofe (R-OK) and Dianne Feinstein (D-CA). That report is based on financial disclosure statements that members of congress must periodically file. Members are regularly tardy in filing these disclosures, and you can bet the shrinking balance in your 401(k) that we will soon discover that many more members did the same thing.

Some members, when they assume office, shield themselves from this kind of accusation by placing such investments in blind trusts, giving them the plausible deniability of saying that they take no active part in managing their investments. Inhofe, Feinstein and Loeffler all claim that is the case with their investments.

Interestingly, no one from Sen. Burr’s office has made a similar claim at this point. Here’s the statement his spokesperson put out yesterday evening:

“His message has always been, and continues to be, that we must be prepared to protect American lives in the event of a pandemic or bio-attack,” Caitlin Carroll, a spokeswoman for Mr. Burr, said in a statement. “Since early February, whether in constituent meetings or open hearings, he has worked to educate the public about the tools and resources our government has to confront the spread of coronavirus.”

Burr himself took to Twitter to issue a series of tweets about an NPR report covering a speech he made to a group of constituents in February, warning them of the potential impacts of coronavirus on the U.S. economy. Nowhere in those tweets does he attempt to defend his stock divestments.

If Burr does play an active role in managing his own trading, then this is a real problem for him, and helps to explain why Carlson went after him last night, but gave the others a pass.

Why Doug Collins for Permanent DNI is a Genius Move – Ooops, Nevermind

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Thursday evening, President Trump issued the following tweet:

Earlier in the day, both the White House and Ambassador Grenell said that he would retain his key Ambassador’s post while he serves as Acting DNI. This naturally created speculation about how one man could do both jobs, a question that the President’s tweet clears up: Grenell will not be his nominee to take the DNI job permanently.
[EDIT: Wooops, and just like that, Doug Collins says he has no interest in the job. So, in my best Emily Latella voice, “Nevermind.”]

Speculation Friday morning centers around the President’s intention to nominate outgoing Georgia Congressman Doug Collins to the post. If true, this could be a stroke of Trumpian genius. Here’s why:

  • Collins recently announced he would leave his House seat in order to challenge incumbent Republican Senator Kelly Loeffler for her job;
  • Loeffler was appointed to that seat last year by Georgia Governor Brian Kemp when Johnny Isakson had to retire due to health reasons, even though President Trump had urged him to appoint Collins;
  • Mitch McConnell favored Loeffler for that seat, since she is more of an “establishment” Republican than Collins is;
  • McConnell was reportedly quite upset when Collins announced he would challenge Loeffler for the GOP nomination;
  • Trump has found it difficult – indeed, impossible – to obtain Senate approval for the appointment of someone truly loyal to him to the DNI position;
  • The Deep State skunks who infest the Senate Committee on Intelligence (SCI) want to see that post remain in the hands of Deep State flunkies like outgoing Acting DNI Joseph Maguire;
  • The only way around the SCI roadblock on this position is Cocaine Mitch, who has the personal power to manipulate his GOP majorities on the SCI and in the full Senate to approve any Trump nominee;
  • McConnell had no compelling interest in deploying his personal political capital to back Texas Congressman John Ratcliffe when the President nominated him for this key post last summer; thus, Ratcliffe could not obtain support from the SCI skunks;
  • On the other hand, McConnell DOES have a compelling interest to use that political capital to help Collins be confirmed, since he vastly prefers to deal with establishment, Chamber of Commerce-type Republicans like Loeffler than true conservatives like Collins;
  • Even better, the GOP skunks on the SCI also prefer dealing with a Kelly Loeffler over dealing with a Doug Collins.

Politics is a very interesting and complex game – the give and take of it, the never-ending machinations and skullduggery, the constant search for leveraging one player’s interests here in order to obtain their support over there, is infinitely fascinating.

It seems very likely to me that this is the President’s gambit in floating Collins’ name for this position. If so, it’s a brilliant one because it meets the wishes and needs of so many of the key players whose support will be necessary to see the nomination through to confirmation.

And if Collins is rejected by the SCI members due to his support of Trump, then the President would be well-justified to just keep rotating a procession of Acting DNIs into the post every 6 months for the duration of his presidency. There is no reason why any president should be forced to keep putting people he knows to be disloyal snakes into such a crucial job.

As the President loves to say, let’s see what happens.
