Saturday News Roundup: Grenell and Kayleigh Torch the Media, and Democrat Riots Expand Again

Tired of all this WINNING yet? – This happened yesterday:

The Fraternal Order of Police is the largest police officer association in the country. It has had a long history of endorsing Democratic presidential candidates, but that began to change in 2012, when it chose not to endorse either the anti-police Barack Hussein Obama or the milquetoast fake Republican Mitt Romney.

The association’s members made the jump to Trump in 2016 and now, faced with a choice between the President and the anti-police Joe Biden, this year’s decision was quite easy.

This also happened at Rasmussen on Friday:

So, once again President Trump matches his highest voter approval level in the Rasmussen daily survey, and blasts up to a 45% approval rating among Black voters. If that Black voter approval translates into even 1/3rd of that level in actual votes for Trump in November, it will produce a massive landslide victory for the President.

The President also received a polling boost on Friday when the Trafalgar Group – along with Rasmussen, the most accurate pollster in 2016 – released a poll showing him with a 3% lead over Creepy Uncle Quid Pro Farty China Joe Biden in the state of Florida. Trafalgar has now in recent weeks released polls showing Trump with leads in Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Florida, four crucial states that both candidates must win in November.

The fantastic August jobs report didn’t get much attention on Friday, thanks to the convenient timing of The Atlantic’s hoax piece. That, of course, is one of the reasons why that piece was dropped on Friday, in fact. This is how the media coordinates with the Democrats.

But I’ll focus on it here, because it’s actual news that is in fact important. To see just how truly great this jobs report, with its 1.4 million new jobs created and 8.4 rate of unemployment (down from 10.2% in July) truly is, look this table of projections created in April by the Congressional Budget Office:

In April the Congressional Budget Office said the unemployment rate for August would be…wait for it…16 percent! Again, we’re at 8.4%, roughly half that level. That 7.6% difference represents 8 to 10 million jobs.

Also note that, barely four months ago, CBO further predicted that the rate of unemployment would not drop below even 10% throughout NEXT YEAR. This is WINNING on a grand, unprecedented scale, and if our news media was not such a raging dumpster fire of bias and ignorance, it would be the biggest story of the week.

Speaking of our raging dumpster fire news media… – Watch as Ric Grenell, the single best personnel decision President Trump has made while in office, chews out the despicable White House press corps for their frankly idiotic questioning:

Truly epic.

But wait, there’s more!

but wait there's more Memes & GIFs - Imgflip

Kayleigh McEnany got in a tongue-lashing of the sleazy White House fake reporters of her own earlier in the day. It is an epic beatdown no one should miss:

The tongue-lashings from McEnany and Grenell obviously had an impact, as the questioning by the press corps during President Trump’s briefing later in the day was surprisingly subdued. But they were still a whole lot more hostile than the pathetically fawning softballs Creepy Uncle Joe received when he took a few carefully-placed questions in Scranton earlier in the day.

The President hilariously noted this disparity:

Yes, they were meant for a child because the corrupt reporters following Biden around know he is utterly incapable of offering a coherent answer to anything resembling a real question. For the record, here is a list of the softballs that were lobbed at Quid Pro Joe:

As Mr. Grenell correctly stated, America has a real crisis in journalism. Bias has always existed in our media, but this descent into pure capitulation to and rank activism on behalf of a single party is unprecedented in its scope and scale.

Meanwhile, in Portland, New York and Rochester… – The Democrat-sponsored rioters of Antifa/BLM were out in force in all three cities last night. Here are some of the lowlights as reported by the great, real journalist, Andy Ngo:

Ted Wheeler has a new opponent in Portland, and guess what? She’s even more of a communist lunatic than he is:

So, understand what she is saying here: If you have white skin and you want to own property and feel safe in your home, you, not the domestic terrorist of BLM/Antifa, are the problem.

You seriously cannot make this stuff up.

This happened in New York City in and around Times Square:

In Rochester, we had this:

And then, as always, there was Portland:

Again, this will only continue to grow until these people are forcibly confronted and stopped. If you think that you and your family are safe because you don’t live in these cities%

RBG Has Had Liver Cancer Since May, and the Media Obsession Over Kayleigh McEnany’s Tabs

The woman is a cancer-breeding and cancer-killing machine. – Think about it: How many people have you ever heard of who have had lung cancer, stomach cancer, pancreatic cancer and liver cancer over a span of less than a decade and lived to tell about it?

That’s the record that the extraordinarily enduring Ruth Bader Ginsburg has now racked up in recent years. Today, she announced that she has been receiving treatments for liver cancer since May and the Supreme Court has managed to cover that little fact up until now. She also claimed that her hospitalization earlier this week had no relation to her latest battle with cancer, but that seems hard to believe.

From a report at Fox News:

“On May 19, I began a course of chemotherapy to treat a recurrence of cancer,” Ms Ginsburg said in her statement.

“The chemotherapy course… is yielding positive results,” she added. “My most recent scan on 7 July indicated [a] significant reduction of the liver lesions and no new disease.

“I am tolerating chemotherapy well and am encouraged by the success of my current treatment,” she said. “I will continue bi-weekly chemotherapy to keep my cancer at bay.”

Supreme Court justices serve for life or until they choose to retire, and supporters have expressed concern that if anything were to happen to Ms Ginsburg a more conservative judge might replace her while President Donald Trump, a Republican, remains in office.

“I have often said I would remain a member of the Court as long as I can do the job full steam,” Ms Ginsburg said in the statement. “I remain fully able to do that.”

[End]

Everyone should wish the Justice well in this latest battle – there is nothing more terrible than having to deal with cancer, and she has established perhaps the most amazing record in human history of beating forms of the disease that kill a very high percentage of those who suffer from them.

That having been said, the truth about her last statement in that excerpt – “I remain fully able to do that” – is that she is only able to remain nominally on the Court because staff and interns perform 99% of the actual work for her. In that, she is certainly far from the first justice to retain a seat in that way, but unlike her survival skills, it is not something anyone should admire.

The fact that this ailment was kept a secret from a public that deserves to know is also nothing to admire, but not at all surprising for an institution led by a living chameleon, Chief Justice John Roberts.

Meanwhile, in REAL news… – There is no new low to which the members of the White House press corps will not stoop.

Today, a Reuters photographer made it his job to invade the privacy of Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, worming his way close enough to the podium to get a shot of the tabs on her famous briefing notebook that she brings into every meeting with the assembled enemies of the people.

Here’s the shot:

White House photographer snapped photo of the press secretary's ...

All the corrupt, blue-check media hacks on Twitter are making a huge deal about the tabs titled “Hate” and “Absurd,” but the obvious explanations for those are easy:

– “Hate” contains answers to any question posed by PBS reporter Yamiche Alcindor; and

– “Absurd” contains notes that describe the preening behavior of Jim Acosta.

This is not hard, folks.

That is all.

The Evening Wrap: A Key Supreme Court Decision and Jake Tapper Gets Something Right

Good John Roberts showed up for court today. – The Supreme Court issued a decision today that could have huge implications for the November elections. On a 6-3 vote, the Court refused to reconsider a lower court ruling that prevents Florida from restoring the voting rights of convicted felons who have not satisfied all the terms of their convictions, including fines and other financial penalties. Liberal Stephen Breyer voted along with the very unreliable “conservative” majority.

Plaintiffs had sued the state for denying the vote to felons who had served their time but failed to pay up. Under Florida law passed in 2018, felons are able to regain their voting rights when they have fulfilled all terms of their convictions.

This decision by the high court means that roughly 1 million Florida felons who have failed to satisfy their financial obligations could be unable to vote in November. Democrats and their corrupt toadies in the news media are obviously hardest hit by today’s decision.

This is a big deal.

That time when even Jake Tapper admitted kids need to go back to school this fall… – Fake Jake Tapper chided Trump critics on Twitter today to “be fair” after his colleagues in the corrupt corporate news media intentionally misquoted Kayleigh McEnany’s remarks related to COVID-19, science and returning to school at today’s White House press briefing. Tapper also corrected Sanjay Gupta when the fake doctor attempted to perpetrate the same falsehoods on Tapper’s CNN program this afternoon.

From a story at Mediaite:

Jake Tapper corrected Dr. Sanjay Gupta over his critique of White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany’s “science should not stand in the way” comment on his CNN show Thursday afternoon.

“The science should not stay in the way of this,” McEnany said in a press briefing Thursday in reference to school openings, before adding, “The science is on our side here. We encourage for localities in states to just simply follow the science. Open our schools.”

Following outrage around the comments, Tapper encouraged people to read McEnany’s full quote, writing in a tweet, “She’s arguing that the science is on the side of those who want to open them, she cites a JAMA study. I’m not taking a position on the matter but be fair.”

After playing a clip of McEnany’s statement, Tapper asked Gupta, “Where is the science on this? Because I know some of the studies, one of the JAMA studies that she referred to, what’s your reaction as a physician and parent of three children?”

“Well, first of all, I don’t think you ever want to say the science should not stand in the way of this,” Gupta responded. “I don’t know exactly what she was referring to by that or if she was just misspeaking. That sounded like an alternate facts sort of moment there.”

“If I could just say, Sanjay,” Tapper interrupted. “I think she was trying to say the science shouldn’t stand in the way because the science is on our side. I don’t know that all of the science is on their side. Certainly, this White House, their respect for science knows bounds, let’s put it that way. But I think that’s what she was getting at.”

[End]

Let’s be clear: The science is 100% on the side of reopening and getting our nation’s kids back to school this fall. There is ZERO, ZIP, NADA “science” that indicates otherwise. With pretty much every other country on earth dealing with reality and real science and reopening their schools, the only reason why any schools at any level in our country will refuse to open in the fall is pure, rank, smelly partisan politics. Dr. Anthony Fauci and others who continue to purvey panic porn and using our children as political footballs should be condemned and shunned by civilized society.

Even Jake Tapper understands the truth here. It is rather amazing his overlords at CNN haven’t shut him up about it yet.

That is all.

Tuesday News Roundup: Nike Takes a Dive, Fauci’s Putting on a Show, and the Truth About Texas

Being “woke” = going broke. – At least that appears to be the case for Collin Kaepernick-supporting Nike. In case you missed it, the woke shoe maker that seems to have contracts to supply the shoes and uniforms for most major sports teams across the globe somehow managed to report a princely $790 million loss for the 4th quarter of 2019.

The company blames part of the loss on store closures related to COVID-19, but that can’t be true, given that none of those closures took place until late in the first quarter of 2020. Nike also announced that it will be executing a big layoff as the result of its losses, which come on the heels of the massive, Kaepernick-focused advertising campaign it ran during the second half of 2019.

Here is a corporate BS-filled statement issued by Nike:

“Consumer Direct Acceleration is the next digitally empowered phase of our strategy,” Nike said in a statement. “We are building a flatter, nimbler company and transforming Nike faster to define the marketplace of the future. We are shifting resources and creating capacity to reinvest in our highest potential areas, and we anticipate our realignment will likely result in a net loss of jobs.”

[End]

Blah-blah-blah, yada-yada-yada, losses and layoffs. Bad management reaps bad results. Tough.

CNN’s Ryan Lizza is the Jim Acosta of Yameche Alcindors:

You just could never make this stuff up, folks. That question is something you might expect a snot-nosed 12 year-old junior high dumbass to ask. This is why the White House should never hold another press briefing and should revoke all press passes. These corrupt reporters are a pestilence on our country.

Ever wonder what Dr. Fauci does with that mask once he thinks the cameras have been turned off? – Now we know:

This man is a national menace who has lied to us every step of the way. For him, it’s all just a show.

Can’t get any real information about what’s happening in Texas related to COVID-19? – You are in that boat if you rely on TV or the newspapers for your “news.” They only report the top-line number, which is the number of new “cases,” a number we all know is hyper-inflated by hospitals so they can maximize revenue from the federal government.

If you want real, actual detailed information, you are left to go to Twitter, of all places. Specifically, you must go to Alex Berenson’s Twitter feed. Yesterday, he received an email from a senior executive at one of the state’s major ER chains of hospitals:

Here are the attachments (this is long but worth the read):

Image

Bottom line is this:

– More people being tested means more “cases”;

– Virus is now showing up in a much younger group of patients than before, mainly because employers are telling anyone who sneezes or has the sniffles at work to go get tested;

– The vast majority of the new “cases” show very mild or no symptoms at all;

– Those admitted to the hospital see stays that are much shorter than seen during March thru May;

– Texas hospitals are not in danger in any way of being overwhelmed by this new outbreak.

Governor Abbott, unfortunately, is just another politician who has now overreacted by succumbing to the media’s panic porn about this surge in new cases, once again denying tens of thousands of Texans the right to make a living and shutting down thousands of businesses.

By its systematic refusal to report the full truth about what is really happening in Texas and other states where the number of cases is surging, our corrupt news media is, intentionally or not, destroying our country’s way of life and causing catastrophic damage to our economy. They are the very worst and most destructive class of people in our society today.

Monday News Roundup: Democrats Crack, Trump Doubles Down, McEnany Blasted by Hacks

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Is the Democrat governor dam cracking? – Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, a true doofus who has kept his entire state on lockdown despite seeing fewer than 100 Wuhan Virus deaths that did not occur among nursing home residents, seems to be beginning to see the light.

Two days after President Donald Trump threatened to begin withholding federal funds from states that continue to discriminate against places of worship, Walz announced on Sunday that churches in his state would be able to reopen at 25% capacity beginning Tuesday. The Governor had been under heavy pressure from Catholic and Lutheran leaders, who informed him in a letter they planned to reopen Tuesday regardless of any orders he chose to leave in place.

Here’s an excerpt as reported in the Daily Caller:

Walz had previously announced that restaurants, bars, and certain small businesses would be allowed to open at 50% capacity on June 1, but this order did not afford the same relaxation of restrictions to churches and instead limited church serves to 10 people.

Minnesota Catholic and Lutheran churches responded to Walz’s order in a Wednesday letter in which Archbishop of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, Reverend Bernard A. Hebda, told Walz that public masses in Minnesota would resume May 26.

“It concerns us, however, that we still are without a clear roadmap, metrics, or definite timeline from your administration about a phased re-opening,” the letter told Walz. “Executive Order 20-56, moreover, seems to have taken a step backward, imposing an explicit prohibition on faith-based gatherings where none had existed.”

“Your willingness, at the same time, to allow a ‘click forward’ for other sectors and activities on your dial –many of which cannot be classified as essential as the life of faith, prompts us to consider it necessary to move forward. We certainly remain ready to work with your administration as events unfold and circumstances change.”

[End]

Thus, Walz relented under pressure. This could be the start of a trend.

Nevada’s doofus Governor, Steve Sisolak, also finds himself under increasing pressure. One reason why is the data, which increasingly reveals that the man’s ongoing shutdown orders have no basis in science or reason. Check this out:

Image

Sisolak and his medical advisors repeatedly warned that the state would probably see a significant increase in hospitalizations and new cases once restaurants were allowed to start reopening at low capacity on May 9. Instead, the number of new hospitalizations per day in Clark County have dropped steadily to zero.

With his senseless, draconian shutdown orders threatening to destroy his state’s gaming industry, most now expect Sisolak to announce on Tuesday that he will allow casinos to reopen at 25% capacity beginning on June 4. We’ll see.

One thing is for sure: As the data increasingly demonstrates that every prediction they’ve made about this virus is false, the cracks in the Democrat dam of obstruction are growing. The crowded beaches, lakes and shopping centers we have seen all over the country on this long weekend show that most Americans are already over this unprecedented and nonsensical approach to virus control and ready to resume living their lives.

Holdout Democrat brutes like Gretchen Whitmer, Kate Brown, Tom Wolf, Gavin Newsom and Andrew Cuomo will ultimately be faced with a choice of relenting or seeing their citizens force the issue en mass. Because this is still America, even in the blue states, whether they like it or not.

It all comes down to Ratcliffe, Barr and Durham. – President Trump gave a wide-ranging interview to Sinclair New’s Sharyl Atkisson, host of ”The Full Measure.” Among many other topics, Mr. Trump probably put the final nail into the coffin of the flagging campaign of Jeff Sessions, which is a service to the country.

The interview is very long, and the full transcript can be found at this link. The President made some particularly interesting remarks about Obamagate and his four-year battle with the Deep State. Here are some excerpts from that:

Now what’s happened, but I didn’t know people in Washington and whether it’s Sessions, which was a mistake or Dan Coats was a big mistake, but Sessions was a big one. Coats, he sat there. He didn’t do anything. When you look at what Richard Grenell has done in eight weeks, these people didn’t do anything for two and a half years. They should have been exposing this. So I’m very disappointed in certain people.

I’m fighting the deep state. I’m fighting the swamp. And I said I was doing it. And I’m exposing the swamp. I think if it keeps going the way I’m going, and Ratcliffe is fantastic. If it keeps going the way it’s going, I have a chance to break the deep state. It’s a vicious group of people. It’s very bad for our country.

They never thought I was going to win, and then I won. And then they tried to get me out. That was the insurance policy. She’s going to win, but just in case she doesn’t win we have an insurance policy. And now I beat them on the insurance policy, and now they’re being exposed. Comey is a dirty cop, McCabe, bad guy. These are all bad guys. Lisa Page and Strzok. These are the two lovers, right? And they use public servers. They put it out public, because they didn’t want anybody to see, like spouses, et cetera, to see that they were having an affair. And because they did that, they got caught. Tremendous things have happened. They forged documents. We caught them. They had people that had forged documents.

Now, hopefully Bill Barr is going to do something about it. And you know what? Other things are going to come out too. And a lot of other things are going to come out, but you don’t even need other things. What they’ve done is so corrupt, they’ve tried to take down a duly elected president of the United States, happens to be in this case, me, but we can never allow it to happen again.

[End]

Interesting stuff, and rumors were flying in DC over the weekend that this could be a very interesting week. Let’s hope so.

You can tell the quality of a person by their enemies. – If that old adage is true, then Kayleigh McEnany is obviously a stellar person doing a hell of a job in her role as White House Press Secretary.

On Fox News Sunday, McEnany became the target of corrupt old media hack Chris Wallace and never-was Jonah Goldberg, who in 20 years has yet to write a single memorable word. Wallace clutched his pearls and tut-tutted about McEnany’s regular lecturing of the press corps, saying that “I spent six years in the White House briefing room covering Ronald Reagan. I have to say, I never — and in the years since too — I never saw a White House press secretary act like that. I have to say that if Kayleigh McEnany had told Sam Donaldson and me what questions we should ask, that would not have gone well.”

Of course, what Wallace fails to mention is that, as biased as he was, a Sam Donaldson in his prime would have been all over Obamagate, because he used to be an actual working journalist. Wallace never really was much of a journalist, and probably would have just parroted the Democrat Party narrative, something he’s made an entire career out of doing.

But the capper came when Goldberg, the “Never Trump” surrender monkey who has used the Wuhan Virus outbreak as an excuse to lose his razor blade and gain 30 pounds, called McEnany’s practice of actually fighting back against press hostility as “indefensible and grotesque.” This is completely in keeping with the “Never Trump” credo that good fake conservatives must never fight back, but keep surrendering ground so that they can get invited to all the right DC/New York dinner parties and occasionally appear on the Fox News Sunday panels with Chris Wallace.

People like Goldberg have built good livings out of constantly losing and surrendering. Thus, they despise Trump and anyone who supports him, because those people are upsetting the apple cart on which they have built their entire careers.

These are the worst people in our society, folks, leeches who produce nothing of value. Remember their faces and never forget what they have tried to do to our country.

This is especially important on this Memorial Day, as we remember our fallen heroes who lost their lives fighting to preserve our freedoms. Not a single surrender monkey or societal leech among them.

God Bless America.

Watch and Read: Kayleigh McEnany Lectures the Press Corps on Obamagate

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II

There’s really not a lot of commentary to add to this one. At the closing of her White House press briefing on Friday, the increasingly-great Kayleigh McEnany spent the final two minutes lecturing the worthless, 100% incurious White House press corps like my Cost Accounting professor used to lecture his hungover students on Monday mornings.

It was truly glorious.

Here is a clip of those final two minutes, followed by a transcript lovingly prepared by yours truly:

Transcript:

[There are a] series of good questions that any good journalist would want an answer about why people were unmasked. All sorts of questions. And I just wanted to follow up with you guys on that – did anyone take it upon themselves to pose any questions about Michael Flynn and unmasking to President Obama’s spokesperson? [waits] Oh, not a single journalist has posed that question. Ok.

So, I would like to lay out a series of questions, and perhaps if I write them out in a slide format – maybe we’re all visual learners and you guys will follow up with journalistic curiosity.

Number One: Why did the Obama Administration use opposition research, funded by a political organization and filled with foreign dirt, to surveil members of the Trump Campaign?

Number Two: Why was Lt. General Michael Flynn unmasked, not by the intel community entirely, but by Obama’s Chief of Staff, by the former vice president, Joe Biden, by Susan Rice, by the Treasury Secretary..I mean, this is extraordinary, and if it were political appointees in the Trump Administration, I can guarantee you I would have questions in my in-box right now. But apparently, Obama’s spokesperson does not.

Why was Flynn’s identity leaked in a criminal act – it is a criminal act to leak the identity of Michael Flynn to the press, but it happened. Where are the questions to Obama’s spokesperson? Because my team would be running around this building should this have happened under the Trump Administration.

Why did the DOJ – Sally Yates – learn about this unmasking from President Obama? So much for going “by the book,” as Susan Rice said, three times. Thou doest protest too much, Susan Rice.

And then finally, question number five, why did James Clapper, John Brennan, Samantha Power and Susan Rice privately admit under oath that they had no evidence of collusion while saying the opposite publicly?

It’s a long weekend, you guys have three days to follow up on those questions, and I certainly hope the next time I ask, some hands go up, because Obama’s spokesperson should be asked those questions. Because President Trump’s spokespeople certainly would be.

[End]

Wow. That was a pounding.

POLITICAL POSTERS (21 MAY) | Whistleblower Newswire

It is a sad fact of our society that, over the last half-century, the most lacking-in-curiosity-and-personal-integrity in our population have chosen to major in journalism. Even worse, those same individuals with no personal ethics or sense of curiosity have now become the professors at the nation’s journalism schools, and spend their days pounding any innate curiosity or ethical sense their young charges might have obtained from their parents out of them.

The result is today’s White House press corps. While it is easy to understand Ms. McEnany’s well-grounded frustrations, no one should expect this dynamic to change.

Real journalism is dead – with rare and notable exceptions – in our country, and has been for several decades now.

Hydroxychloroquine Hypocrisy: Kayleigh McEnany Exposes Fredo Cuomo

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany is so adept at dealing with the corrupt press corps that I’m almost glad she’s started holding occasional press briefings again. Almost.

It seems that every time she holds one of these things she exposes the members of the press for being the rank hypocrites we all know them to be. Yesterday, she figuratively ripped the pants right off of CNN’s doofus evening host Fredo Cuomo because … wait for it … he used a more dangerous form of hydroxychloroquine than President Trump has been using.

In treatment for his own alleged case of Wuhan Virus, it turns out that Fredo actually took quinine, which, as McEnany devastatingly revealed at yesterday’s presser, was taken off the market by the FDA in 2006 due to its severe side effects.

Here’s a clip of Kayleigh addressing the HCQ question and Fredo:

Here is an excerpt from McEnany’s remarks:

And one thing I want to note with regard to hydroxychloroquine, because I think it’s very important that we’re as accurate as we can be with our reporting on this: Hydroxychloroquine has been a drug that has been in use for 65 years for lupus, arthritis, and malaria.  It has a very good safety profile.

But as with any drug and as with any prescription, it should be given by a doctor to a patient in that context.  So no one should be taking this without a prescription from their doctor.

But that being said, I’ve seen a lot of apoplectic coverage of hydroxychloroquine.  You had Jimmy Kimmel saying the President is, quote, “trying to kill himself by taking it.”  You had Joe Scarborough saying, quote, “This will kill you.”  Neil Cavuto saying, “What have you got to lose?  One thing you have to lose are lives.”  And you had Chris Cuomo saying, “The President knows that hydroxychloroquine is not supported by science.  He knows it has been flagged by his own people and he’s using it.”

Well, Cuomo mocked the President for this.  And interestingly, I found this out just before coming here: Hydroxychloroquine, of course, is an FDA-approved medication with a long-proven track record for safety.  And it turns out that Chris Cuomo took a less safe version of it called quinine, which the FDA removed from the market in 2006 because of its serious side effects, including death.  So, really interesting to have that criticism of the President.

And on that note to Chris Cuomo, I’d like to redirect him to his brother, the Governor of New York, Governor Cuomo, who has several on-the-record statements about hydroxychloroquine, saying, “I’m an optimist.  I’m hopeful about the drug, and that’s why we’ll try it here in New York as soon as we get it.  There has been anecdotal evidence that it’s promising.  That’s why we’re going ahead.”  And I have about eight other quotes from Governor Cuomo should any of you have interest in that.

[End]

No one in the corrupt press corps was interested, of course. These are the most incurious people on earth. Your average Waffle House pancake possesses a keener sense of curiosity than the average reporter for the Washington Post.

Just in case you were beginning to think that anyone in the corrupt fake news media really holds any genuine concerns about HCQ, know that not a single one of the blue-check media hypocrites on Twitter tweeted a word of condemnation of Cuomo over his rank hypocrisy. As is always the case with corrupt reporters and the President, this is all about Trump and trying to “get” him. If Trump recommends something, or is taking some drug, it must be bad – that’s what the approved Democrat/media narrative dictates.

Yes, as both the President and McEnany have pointed out, HCQ can have severe side effects with certain patients, and should be taken only on the advice of a physician. That makes HCQ exactly like every other drug on the market today.

And guess what? When Remdesivir, which has been approved for emergency use by the FDA before going through full clinical trials, has been fully studied, it will have its own long list of side effects, as will any other hugely-expensive new drug developed by Big Pharma in response to the virus.

They all will soon be featured in those touchy-feely 90-second TV ads that feature soft music and 75 seconds of legal disclaimers. The guy who narrates those disclaimers will talk about all sorts of potential side effects, including death, as some chubby woman conducts a marching band or an elderly couple does yoga or looks peacefully out over a lake in the background to make you feel good and not listen to all the harm this drug might cause you if you take it.

All drugs have potential side effects, and HCQ is no different. The only two differences between HCQ and the drugs Big Pharma is developing and planning to make billions on are: 1) The side effects of HCQ are well-known and have been for decades, and 2) President Trump recommends HCQ.

That’s it, and that’s what Kayleigh McEnany revealed yesterday.

Kayleigh McEnany Knows She’s at War With a Bitter Enemy: The Press

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

This is how she should answer every snide question she gets from these corrupt clowns. – It turns out that new White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany is really good at this. Really, really good. Watch as she ends yesterday’s press briefing by completely turning a loaded question around on Jeff Mason of Reuters:

For the record, I still don’t like the Trump White House doing these press briefings. They are counterproductive in all respects, including giving these preening peacocks the TV face time they so desperately crave. The vast majority of the questions that are asked during these engagements are not sincere efforts to acquire information to use in real news reporting, but gotcha-type questions like this one designed to embarrass or to create fake news that would not otherwise exist, and which has no informative value for the public.

But, if the White House has decided to revive these briefings now after a long hiatus for whatever strategic reason, it’s good to have a spokesperson like McEnany, who comes into the sessions incredibly well-prepared and has years of experience in dealing with these people and others like them on TV and radio. Note that she didn’t have even a second’s hesitation in going to the exact page of prepared talking points in her notebook and immediately turning this loaded question designed to embarrass her back onto the reporter and the press at large.

This is a tactic that should be used at every opportunity by this White House. The entirety of the corrupt news media has been at open war with the Trump presidency since before it even began, and there is no reason at all for McEnany to pull any punches. Past GOP White Houses have always tried to play nice with the reprobates in the White House press corps in the hopes that doing so would buy them a bit of positive news coverage here and there. Occasionally that tactic even worked, although it was generally a fool’s errand.

But this White House has no hope of ever being able to cajole any positive coverage from these corrupt news outlets, and President Trump understands that. There is no longer even the slightest pretense of objectivity in any of the national media outlets. There is no good faith at play here.

Thus, if you’re going to insist on holding these briefings, they should be treated as purely hostile engagements. There is simply no possible advantage to doing otherwise. Each and every question that does not come from OAN or John Roberts at Fox News should be treated as a hostile question, and even Roberts’ questions should be treated with a great deal of skepticism.

More than anything else, these engagements should also be treated and prepared for as opportunities to expose the media’s own hypocrisy. That’s what McEnany did with the question in this clip, and she has done it repeatedly throughout the two briefings she has held over the past week.

Many communications professionals would advise her against this tactic on the reasoning that doing so will only heighten resentments and hostility in the room, but that’s simply dumb reasoning. As I have been writing here since January 2017, it is blatantly obvious that the media’s resentments and hostility towards the President or anyone serving as his spokesperson simply cannot rise any higher than they already are. As a group, these people are nothing more or less than activist agents of the opposition political party, and they cherish that role.

Every White House has an obligation to keep the public informed about its activities. That is a given, and every administration must figure out the most effective way to achieve that objective.

The White House press briefing was enshrined as a daily activity during the Gerald Ford administration because that White House decided that would be a politically advantageous thing to do. Ford’s presidency lasted 2 years and 5 months. So, was it really a good strategy? Probably not.

The point here is this: There are a hundred different ways for the Trump White House to communicate with the public. Giving vain jerks like Jeff Mason TV time to ask loaded questions is probably not the most productive means of doing it.

But if you’re going to do it, at least have a spokesperson who is sharp, witty and incredibly well-prepared. Kayleigh McEnany appears so far to fit that description.

That is all.

Cirque du Trump: It’s the Greatest Show on Earth

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

I swear I do not make this stuff up. Who could? – You could never make it up – never in a million billion gazillion years.

I kid you not: The President of the United States of by-God America was asked by some doofus reporter yesterday evening if he was planning to pardon…wait for it…oh, you have to wait for this one…JOE freakin’ EXOTIC!!! Yes, this guy:

What life is like for Joe Exotic in jail

You don’t have to believe me, you only have to believe your lyin’ eyes and ears:

Reporter: These ratings hits, aside from these briefings, there’s a show that’s called “Tiger King,” and the man who’s the star of this is a former zoo owner who is serving a 22-year prison sentence. He’s asking you for a pardon, saying he was unfairly convicted. Your son yesterday jokingly said he was going to advocate for it. I was wondering if you’d seen the show and if you have any thoughts on it, pardoning Joe Exotic.

Trump: Which son? [smiling] Must be Don.

Reporter: It was.

Trump: [smiling] I had a feeling it was Don. Is that what he said? I don’t know, I know nothing about it. 22 years for what? What did he do?

Reporter: He allegedly hired someone to murder an animal rights activist. He said he didn’t do that and he was, uh…

Trump: You think he didn’t do it? Are you on his side?

Reporter: Well, I…

Trump: Are you recommending a pardon?

Reporter: Ah, no, I’m not advocating anything like that…

Trump: As a reporter, you’re not allowed to do that. You’d be criticized by these…[points at Acosta] Would you recommend a pardon?

Acosta: Uh, I’m not weighing in on Tiger King…

Trump: I wouldn’t think you would, I don’t think you would. Go ahead, you have a question. [To first reporter] I’ll take a look.

Acosta: I do like Joe Exotic [well, of course he does]

Trump: [Reporter on front row holds up an image of Joe Exotic on his I-phone] Is that Joe Exotic? That’s Joe Exotic?

Acosta: Uh, let me get back to the coronavirus, Mr. President.

Trump: Yeah.

[End]

It’s the Greatest Show on Earth, folks. We are truly blessed to live in this day and time.

Meanwhile, in other, less entertaining news… – President Trump has a new White House Press Secretary, not that it really matters.

In case you missed it – and you can certainly be excused for doing so – Stephanie Grisham, who barely ever showed her face before the media during her brief time in the job, went back to serving as press spokesman for First Lady Melania Trump on Tuesday. Stepping into the job of White House Press Secretary will now be Kayleigh McEnany, a longtime communications expert who has most recently been serving in a similar role for the Trump 2020 re-election campaign.

Kayleigh McEnany - Wikipedia

As polished as Ms. McEnany is as a spokesperson, you will likely not be seeing too much of her in this role, much like Ms. Grisham. This is not a criticism of either woman, both of whom are perfectly capable of handling the pack of hyenas who make up the White House press corps.

President Trump, after watching Sarah Huckabee Sanders being abused and smeared by these clowns for a year and a half, decided early last year to simply become his own spokesman, and turn the White House Press Secretary’s job into more of a role of herding the media cats.

That has been a brilliant and highly productive move. Trump has, without any question at all, since become the most accessible president in the nation’s history since making that transition, often holding multiple press availabilities each day. He been so accessible during the course of defending the nation against China’s Wuhan Virus attack that he now has the petulant creeps on MSNBC and CNN whining every day that he has become too accessible. I kid you not: The coordinated talking point among the cable TV talking heads on Tuesday and Wednesday was that “the President has hijacked these Task Force press briefings.”

Think about that: This President is now literally being accused by corrupt media personalities of “hijacking” his own damn press conferences.

That’s how good he is at dealing with these shameless nitwits. He has them so discombobulated that they are utterly incapable of hitting back in any non-hysterical way.

It’s a beautiful thing to watch. As the President himself would say, ‘it’s the most beautiful thing we’ve ever seen. Many people are talking about it being such a great thing. No one’s ever seen anything like it.’ And he’d be right.

Enjoy it while you can, and work hard to make sure you get to continue enjoying it for four more years.

That is all.
