Friday News Roundup: Disney Fires Gina Carano for Telling the Truth as More Cuomo Complicity Comes to Light

Well, of course they did. This is what mass killers do. – Andrew Cuomo and his administration have now admitted to systematically under-reporting the number of nursing home deaths in New York caused by Cuomo’s policy of sending elderly patients infected with COVID-19 back to their nursing homes while still contagious. Cuomo’s top aide admitted on Thursday to the under-reporting, saying she did it due to fear of a potential federal investigation.

Naturally, the aide, a dissembling leftist hack named Melissa DeRosa, blame her actions on mean tweets by…wait for it…President Donald Trump. I swear I do not make this stuff up:

From a story at the New York Post:

Governor Cuomo’s top aide privately apologized to Democratic lawmakers for withholding the state’s nursing-home death toll from COVID-19 — telling them “we froze” out of fear the true numbers would “be used against us” by federal prosecutors, The Post has learned.

The stunning admission of a cover-up was made by Secretary to the Governor Melissa DeRosa during a video conference call with state Democratic leaders in which she said the Cuomo administration had rebuffed a legislative request for the tally in August because “right around the same time, [then-President Donald Trump] turns this into a giant political football,” according to an audio recording of the two-hour-plus meeting.

“He starts tweeting that we killed everyone in nursing homes,” [Hint: That’s exactly what they did] DeRosa said. “He starts going after [New Jersey Gov. Phil] Murphy, starts going after [California Gov. Gavin] Newsom, starts going after [Michigan Gov.] Gretchen Whitmer.”

In addition to attacking Cuomo’s fellow Democratic governors, DeRosa said, Trump “directs the Department of Justice to do an investigation into us.”

“And basically, we froze,” she told the lawmakers on the call.

“Because then we were in a position where we weren’t sure if what we were going to give to the Department of Justice, or what we give to you guys, what we start saying, was going to be used against us while we weren’t sure if there was going to be an investigation.”

DeRosa added: “That played a very large role into this.”

[End]

It is truly depressing and frankly frightening that so many ghouls just like Cuomo and DeRosa have risen to power in America today. It’s also depressing to know that Cuomo would easily be re-elected if he were to run again, even after causing the needless deaths of thousands of New Yorkers, or that DeRosa would easily win the governor’s office in the state should she become the Democrat nominee.

Liberalism/leftism is a mental disease that robs people of the ability to connect their own voting actions to the societal pathologies that plague their lives. Andrew Cuomo’s political career is living proof of that fact.

CNN is complicit in Cuomo’s mass-killings, too. – While Cuomo was ordering thousands of elderly New Yorkers to their deaths in the state’s nursing homes and DeRosa was helping him hide the real numbers, this is how the corrupt media hacks at CNN were covering the story:

Despicable. Let us never forget that the American media writ large literally lionized Cuomo as a role model for other governors to follow even as he was killing thousands of elderly New Yorkers. The media is complicit. Period.

You’re calling us Nazis??? Well, we’ll see about that! – Mandalorian star Gina Carano put up a tweet recently comparing the social and political climate in the United States to that of pre-WWII Nazi Germany.

As if to absolutely prove her point is 100% correct, Disney fired her for exercising her right to free speech and telling the truth.

You just could never make this stuff up, folks. Don’t even try.

Excerpt from the story at DailyWire:

Disney faced widespread backlash late on Wednesday after a production company that they own announced that it had parted ways with conservative actress Gina Carano after the actress posted some things to social media that some claimed were offensive.

One post, which was a screenshot of someone else’s post that she uploaded to her own account, compared the current divisive political climate in the U.S. to events that took place in Nazi Germany, which critics claimed was her equating Republicans with Jews in Nazi Germany.

“Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future,” Lucasfilm, a production company owned by Disney, said in a statement. “Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.”

Disney’s firing of Carano sparked instant widespread backlash online with “#CancelDisneyPlus” rocketing to the very top of Twitter’s trending news list. Carano was one of the stars on Disney+’s “The Mandalorian.”

In response to Carano’s firing, critics noted how Disney rehired a director that had been fired over disturbing sexually explicit tweets, Disney’s business dealings in communist China, and other controversies that the company has faced in recent years.

“Gina Carano’s post made the point that mass violence starts with hatred for your neighbor,” Daily Caller editor Katrina Haydon wrote. “This is not only uncontroversially true but also one perspective of the commandment to love your neighbor. That idea is not a call to empty niceness. It’s how you prevent suffering.”

“The point that Gina Carano’s post made isn’t even a ‘wild take,’ and she certainly isn’t the first person to get cancelled for viewpoints that differ from the woke mob,” Daily Caller reporter Shelby Talcott added. “What a dangerous, sad era to live in — where expressing a particular view could cost you your livelihood.”

[End]

And so, the woke Perpetual Outrage Mob on Twitter gets its way one more time, and the only well-acted character on The Mandalorian will simply disappear into the ether, likely killing the series for good after one more season. But destroying good things is the Perpetual Outrage Mob’s core competency, so no surprise there.

Pot, Meet Kettle Tweet of the Century:

Hooboy.

Today’s Short Term Memory Reminder. – Hey, remember last week, when I told you that all the members of the Lincoln Project who were out in the media claiming they never knew about the pedo-sexual proclivities of the group’s founder, John Weaver, were lying? Remember how I told you they all knew, that it was impossible for them not to have known, that many in Washington had in fact known about Weaver for 20 years, since he served as campaign manager for John McCain’s failed 2000 presidential campaign? Remember how some members of the Lincoln Project were out there threatening to sue anyone who told that truth about them and Mr. Weaver?

Well, gee, yesterday the Daily Caller ran this story:

Here’s an excerpt:

The Lincoln Project previously expressed shock over allegations against its co-founder John Weaver, but new reporting claims that Lincoln Project members knew of allegations against Weaver as early as June of last year.

Lincoln Project members were made aware of at least 10 allegations of harassment against Weaver in June 2020, the Associated Press reported. The group did not take action against Weaver as it continued its high-profile work combatting the re-election of former President Donald Trump.

Nevertheless, the Lincoln Project expressed shock in January over the allegations against Weaver.

“The totality of his deceptions are beyond anything any of us could have imagined and we are absolutely shocked and sickened by it,” the group said in a January statement.

The Lincoln Project did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Two of the allegations involved Lincoln Project employees, persons with direct knowledge of the situation told the AP. This is the first known suggestion that Weaver targeted staffers within the Lincoln Project, the publication reported.

Lincoln Project co-founder Steve Schmidt has also said that Lincoln Project leaders were not aware of allegations of Weaver’s wrongdoing.

[End]

Steve Schmidt, George Conway, and all the rest: Liars.

Glenn Greenwald captured the essence of the Lincoln Project in this tweet:

Thus, the Lincoln Project is conclusively revealed to be what anyone familiar with how the DC Swamp works knew it was from day one: A classic DC Swamp grift, the classic sort of money scam that has been the life’s blood of Swamp denizens for as long as DC has existed. This one happened to be led by a pedophile, but hey, it’s not the first time that has happened, either.

That is all.

Impeachment is not Just About Trump: It’s About Intimidating his Supporters

Many of you are no doubt wondering why it is that congressional Democrats and their shameful RINO supporters are intent upon going through with a Senate trial to finalize their latest scam impeachment of Donald J. Trump. After all, Mr. Trump is now a private citizen, and the impeachment process is clearly intended to be applied only to active holders of federal office by the Constitution.

But, Constitution be damned, Nancy Pelosi made it clear yesterday that she and her fellow evil minions plan to force this process through to the bitter end in an effort to ban Trump from ever holding public office again. That is how truly frightened the UniParty Democans and Republicrats remain of this singular man, without question the most accomplished American president in modern times.

Well, wonder no more, as the corrupt hacks at Slate have a piece out today that fully explains the UniParty’s rationale for hounding Trump until he is safely neutered. That piece, written by despicable hack Dahlia Lithwick, details an interview conducted with Juliette Kayyem, who served as assistant secretary at the Department of Homeland Security under President Barack Obama, because of course she is an Obama minion. What else would she be?

Here are some excerpts from that piece at Slate:

Dahlia Lithwick: I want to start by asking you about this phrase stochastic terrorism because you’ve been saying it and saying it. And I feel like I wrote it this week, and then one of my dear friends was like, “What the hell does that mean?” Can you explain what it means?”

Juliette Kayyem: It doesn’t roll off the tongue, I know. I think the first time I used it publicly was in 2018. I had been looking at what Trump was doing, and inciting violence was not the right terminology, because it was a particular type of violence. It was a violence that was directed toward political gain. Now, that could be whether it’s against a mayor he doesn’t like, or a governor he doesn’t like, or people he doesn’t like, or media personalities, as he’s often wont to do. And the means that he did it is stochastic terrorism. Stochastic means random.

It’s a way of thinking about violence. And it’s when a leader uses his platform to motivate and incite violence in a way in which the violence is much more likely to occur, but who does it and where it’s done is utterly random. So, after a Trump speech, is it more likely someone might do something? Yes. Or a Trump tweet.

I don’t feel comfortable calling Trump a terrorist just because I think that then we’re going to get into that debate. But it’s important to say that he’s the spiritual and operational leader of a domestic terrorism movement and that’s where we’ve landed. And that’s what I’ve been writing and talking about. And I did it not for name-calling but because now, I think, can we think about the prisms of counterterrorism as a solution?

That is what’s important so that you get to the counterterrorism framework: OK, what can we do, knowing now that this is an organized domestic threat? All of a sudden, the tools become more obvious: do all the things that you would otherwise do with any criminal organization. You prosecute, you investigate. [This includes not just Trump, but all of his supporters.]

You cut off the money. What the private sector is doing is fantastic. You deplatform the leader. So, thank you, Twitter and Facebook, for this short moment in time—we’ll get back to you later. You isolate, you shame, you use every political gesture you can. [Classic Saul Alinskyism.]

Crushed is a little strong, but you just want to weaken him, because it’s now about recruitment. It’s about whether we can contain this, prosecute those who’ve been violent, off-ramp those who may want to off-ramp. There’s something to shame, and to them realizing what’s going on. And we’ve got a lot of people in that camp. Let’s make sure he can’t recruit. And so he needs to be [the] loser.

[End]

Get all of that? The Swamp feels it must continue to hound, shame and persecute Trump because of you, you 75 million Trump voters who the Swamp now will characterize as “domestic terrorists.”

If it still isn’t clear enough for you, watch this clip of Obama CIA director John Brennan, who, along with DNI James Clapper and FBI Directors Robert Mueller and James Comey, weaponized the entirety of the U.S. Intelligence Community against ordinary Americans under Obama:

Got that? China Joe’s Intelligence Community is not moving against Trump, it is moving against 75 million ordinary Americans who the Swamp/Uniparty considers to be a “pro-Trump insurgency”, not against America, but against the privileged interests of the Swamp elite. (By the way, the very fact that Brennan is making 7 figures as a “contributor” for MSNBC instead of sleeping on a cot at Gitmo is also designed to intimidate you.)

Just as the Swamp and its media/Big Tech toadies spent months telegraphing their plans for stealing the presidential election, they are now plainly telegraphing their plans to force you all to submit. Thus, this impeachment/removal of a man who has already left office is not merely about Trump, it is about shaming and intimidating all of his 75 million voters to submit to the Swamp’s will.

They always telegraph their plans, folks. All you have to do is pay attention.

That is all.

Sunday News Roundup: Barr, Sessions Hires Are Trump’s Worst Failures

Let’s just start with this meme found on Twitter this morning:

Image

Yes, imagine that.

Then there’s this:

Image

Will this be a case of the underling questioning the boss? We know the CIA has plants throughout the mainstream news media, a practice in which it has engaged since its creation shortly after World War II. Anyone who thinks Fox News is free from such skullduggery hasn’t been paying much attention to the content on Fox News lately. Not that anyone can blame you for that, of course.

But here’s the thing: In a just and free society in which laws mattered, John Brennan would be in federal prison, not making Sunday morning appearances on Fox News or raking in millions from his contributor deal with MSNBC. But that’s all been lost in America over the past 25 years, aided and abetted during the Trump Administration by worthless Attorneys General Jeff Sessions and William Barr.

To exemplify just how abjectly worthless Barr and his “Special Counsel” John Durham have been, late last week Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe told an interviewer that he and his staff have provided “thousands” of classified Intelligence Community documents to Durham over the past several months.

From a story at BizPac Review:

Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe says he’s turned over “thousands of documents” to U.S. Attorney John Durham during his investigation into the origins of the so-called “Russian collusion” probe of the 2016 Trump campaign.

In an interview with the Washington Examiner published Thursday, Ratcliffe said he’s counting on Durham to uncover the truth about what the DNI believes is monumental corruption and wrongdoing by officials tied to the Russia investigation.

However, he added, that doesn’t mean all of what he’s passed along to Ratcliffe should be declassified and revealed due to the sensitivity of sources.

“Between my predecessor Richard Grenell in an acting capacity and myself, we have declassified most of the intelligence community documents that would be suitable for the public to see, that wouldn’t jeopardize sources and methods,” he told the outlet.

“There are others, many many documents — I think it’s been out there that I’ve provided literally thousands of documents to John Durham, but many of those do contain sources and methods that we can’t make public for a number of reasons, including to jeopardize any investigation that’s going there,” Ratcliffe continued.

“So I think the level of cooperation — I’ve given them everything that they’ve asked for,” he added.

[End]

Ratcliffe has indeed given Durham and Barr what they’ve asked for. No one should have expected this public servant to do anything less.

But what has been the result? What has the American public gained from Ratcliffe’s and Grenell’s stalwart efforts to end the information roadblock at the DNI’s office? Bupkis. No action from Durham whatsoever. No indictments, no wee hours of the morning arrests, no perp walks, none of the criminals who staged a long, slow-motion coup d’etat from 2017 through 2019 in any real jeopardy of ever being held accountable for their crimes against this nation.

The DOJ is an absolute travesty of injustice, and the failure to identify and hire a patriot to serve as AG will be remembered as Donald Trump’s single most damaging failure during his first term in office.

News you will not see reported on any national corrupt news outlet:

Think about that for a second: Why does the national news media refuse to report on the thousands of human trafficking arrests made over the past four years by federal, state and local law enforcement agencies? Is it just because it makes the Obama Administration, which showed no interest in doing anything effective to bust rings like this, look bad? Or is there something more sinister at play here?

It’s a good and valid question, and someone should be forced to answer it at some point.

Oh, well, color me shocked. Not. – It’s always about the money on the radical left, folks, and the Black Lives Matter communists are no exception. The Washington Times reports that some regional BLM chapters are up in arms about the fact that their national leadership appears to have made millions of dollars intended to fund the looting and burning of Democrat-run cities just disappear into the ether.

From that story at the Washington Times:

Black Lives Matter is facing a rebellion within its own ranks as regional affiliates seek greater control over the movement and demand answers about where millions of dollars in donations have gone.

After years of tensions between the national organization and local outlets, the rift went public this week with the release of a statement by 10 BLM chapters accusing the top brass at the Black Lives Matter Global Network Foundation of failing to open their books or share the wealth with the rank and file.

“For years, there has been inquiry regarding the financial operations of BLMGN and no acceptable process of either public or internal transparency about the unknown millions of dollars donated to BLMGN, which has certainly increased during this time of pandemic and rebellion,” reads the “Statement from the Frontlines of BLM” posted Monday.

“To the best of our knowledge, most chapters have received little to no financial support from BLMGN since the launch in 2013,” the statement reads.

In addition to the D.C. chapter, the missive was signed by affiliates in Chicago, Denver, Indianapolis, New Jersey, New York’s Hudson Valley, Oklahoma City, Philadelphia, San Diego, and Vancouver, Washington. The chapter in Louisville, Kentucky, said it supported the chapters.

[End]

Did Durham Just Lure Brennan into a Perjury Trap?

Welcome to your perjury trap, Mr. Brennan. – In a very interesting piece at RedState.com, a former prosecutor who writes under the pen name “Shipwreckedcrew” lays out a strong argument detailing his belief that Friday’s 8-hour-long interview of former Obama CIA Director John Brennan by U.S. Attorney John Durham and his investigators amounted to a classic perjury trap by the Department of Justice.

The author points to the fact that, instead of holding the interview at the more logical location at DOJ headquarters or the Hoover Building in Washington, DC, Durham chose to conduct it at CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia:

Second, conducting the interview at the CIA facility is an interesting decision.  Why not question him at DOJ or FBI HQ?  The CIA is not a law enforcement agency.  John Brennan no longer works for the CIA.  Any CIA records that may have been needed over the course of the interview could have been made available in a secured facility at both those locations.

But that “records” excuse may have been the very justification given for the selection of the CIA HQ as the location for the interview.

DOJ and the FBI HQ are in Washington DC.  CIA Headquarters is in Langley, Virginia.

If you are geographically challenged, you can read the distinction as “United States District Court for the District of Columbia” v. “United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.”  If John Brennan offered any false answers to the investigators during the interview, the venue for that “false statement” crime is in the EDVA, not in DC federal court.

[End]

Pretty clever, if true. This would solve Durham’s conundrum about trying to get a conviction of Brennan from DC jury, which would be overwhelmingly made up of Democrats.

The former prosecutor also points to the interesting fact that Brennan chose to speak through his lawyer, Nick Shapiro, in a written statement, rather than just blast stuff out on his Twitter account, as he does on a regular basis:

First, it’s not Brennan’s statement.  Shapiro issued the statement to Obama Administration scribe Natasha Bertrand at Politico — guaranteed to dutifully publish anything requested of her by a former Obama era intelligence official now living in fear.  Shapiro then posted a string of eight Tweets on Twitter with the same text.

Both are devoid of any words actually spoken by Brennan — there are no quotations — nor is there any support offered for Shapiro’s claims by anyone actually in the room, such as Brennan’s attorneys.

Since when has Brennan been shy about saying anything on Twitter?  Why would Brennan go “third person” and have his thoughts about the interview expressed only in the words of someone else?  The most obvious reason is the statements are not going to be exactly accurate.  Running them through a third person builds in a level of “deniability” on Brennan’s part.

[End]

As I pointed out yesterday, Brennan has spent his entire adult life lying for a living and protecting himself from being held accountable for those lies by building walls of plausible deniability. Here, we see that lifelong habit in action.

The author also expands at length on the meaning of Shapiro’s claim that Brennan is not a “target” of the Durham investigation at this time. Here is a key passage:

So if you are not a “target” — meaning there isn’t sufficient evidence at this time to charge you with a crime — then by default you are a “witness.”

But “witnesses” can, and often do talk themselves into being “targets” during such interviews.  That was the purpose of the interview, Mr. Brennan, not because you have some wonderful insights to provide Mr. Durham and his investigators to make their job easier.

One important distinction between “target” and “witness” that is not well understood, but might be in play here, is that it is against DOJ policy to issue a grand jury subpoena to someone who is already a “target”.

A grand jury subpoena is a court order, under threat of contempt, to appear and answer questions under oath without the presence of counsel.  If a person is already a “Target”, the subpoena intrudes upon their Fifth Amendment right to remain silent and to be represented by counsel while undergoing “custodial” interrogation — they are under subpoena after all.  Witnesses before the grand jury are allowed to assert their Fifth Amendment right, but it forces them to assert that right before the grand jurors considering charges against them.  The government is not allowed to call a criminal defendant to take the stand in his trial and force him to assert his Fifth Amendment right to remain silent in front of the jury.  It is deemed prejudicial, and suggest to the jury that the defendant has something to hide.  The same principle applies to calling a “Target” in front of a grand jury and forcing them to assert their right to remain silent in front of the grand jurors without counsel present.

[End]

Oh. Again, as I pointed out yesterday, just because someone is not a “target” of an investigation today does not mean he will not become a “target” of that investigation tomorrow.

Isn’t all of that interesting?

There is much more in this piece, and you would to well to go read it in its entirety.

Now, this analysis may or may not be accurate. But if it is accurate, it is fair to point out that it would be entirely consistent with common DOJ practice in this kind of an investigation. These are the kinds of tactics that U.S. attorneys and other prosecutors deploy all the time.

What we have seen from both Durham and William Barr over the past year and a half is a consistent dedication to conducting this and other DOJ functions strictly by the book. Durham’s investigation has not employed the Gestapo-like strong-arm tactics or serial leaking of misleading or false information to the media, like we saw from the Mueller special counsel outfit.

Take it for what it’s worth, but this take on Friday’s meeting would be exactly the kind of thing we would expect to see from a by-the-book prosecutor like John Durham.

John Durham Interviews John Brennan as the end of Summer Grows Near

If Brennan’s not a target for Durham, who is? – Former Obama CIA Director John Brennan was interviewed by John Durham and his investigators for 8 full hours on Friday as a part of Durham’s investigation into the SpyGate/ObamaGate election fixing/coup d’etat effort of 2016 – 2018.

No one really knows what was discussed during those 8 hours, but Brennan, through a spokesman, came out of it claiming to not be a target of the investigation, at least at this time. Here’s the statement:

Image

Image

As has been the case throughout the course of his investigation, Durham and his team had no comment about the day’s activities. Thus, the public is left to make of the Brennan statement what it will.

Some will think it’s Brennan giving his pals in the corrupt news media a narrative to follow. Brennan has been a professional liar throughout his entire adult life – no word how he spent his childhood, but it was probably mainly spent lying to his parents, teachers, friends and family – and there is no reason to think he would have suddenly changed that mode of operation on Friday. This is certainly a valid line of thought.

Others will take Brennan at his word and conclude Durham is just another worthless smoke screen being placed before the public by a do-nothing Department of Justice at the behest of William Barr. Given the paltry results that Durham has produced thus far, it’s hard to say that is not a fair assessment. We certainly have no evidence otherwise, other than this week’s guilty plea by corrupt ex-FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith, who was let off with a very light sentence.

Personally, I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle. Durham is going to target individual conspirators against whom he and Barr determine they are likely to obtain a guilty sentence from a jury in Washington, DC. Given that the District of Columbia population is roughly 96% Democrat, doing that will require them accumulating evidence that is completely irrefutable. There simply cannot be any holes in the case for the defense to exploit in order to provide the jurors with a “reasonable doubt” that they will all be desperately searching for.

Men like Brennan and James Comey and James Clapper, who rise to the very highest levels of their respective organizations, are able to do that in large part because they are highly skilled at deflecting blame and setting up plausible deniability that insulates them from internal controversies that get people who work for them fired. They are extremely adept at setting up scapegoats and ensuring the lines of damning evidence never rise to their level.

Thus, it is fairly likely that Brennan is not a target of this investigation at this time, and that Durham is focused on obtaining indictments of or cooperation from smaller fish like Clinesmith, Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, Bruce Ohr and Nellie Ohr. If he is really good at pressuring these smaller fish – and his career at DOJ indicates that he is quite skilled in this area – he may be able to get one or more of them to turn in order to protect themselves. That may well have already happened with Clinesmith, although the sentencing memo entered by DOJ in his case did not indicate as much.

The cooperation of someone like Strzok or Page might enable Durham to pierce the veil enough to get at Strok’s direct boss at the time, Bill Priestap. Cooperation from Priestap might enable Durham to go after his direct boss at the time, Andrew McCabe. Cooperation from McCabe might enable Durham to get a really big fish like Comey, and Comey could, finally, lead to Brennan.

But without any such cooperation, if these little fish are willing to let themselves be gobbled up while taking one for the treasonous team, then it is likely that those of us hoping for some real justice in this case will walk away highly disappointed at the final outcome.

Like it or not, this is how these investigations go. There is literally no reason at all to believe a single word Brennan’s spokesman had to say yesterday. But until we see some real results from Durham in terms of indictments and prosecution, there is also no real reason to think Brennan is a target at this moment in time.

Barr promised action by the “end of summer.” As of today, that is exactly one month away. Durham has 31 days to assure half of the U.S. population that justice still exists in our country. He can either become a true American hero, or prove he is just another Deep State snake.

Stay tuned.

Friday News Roundup: Durham Targets Brennan, Portland Rioters Expand Their Operations

This happened on Thursday:

Now, ok, I get it: Many of you are going to respond with “well, it’s about time! What in the hell has Durham been doing????” Yeah, ok, get it out of your system. Go ahead, I’ll wait.

There, you done? Feel better now?

Ok. Look, in this kind of case, which involves literally dozens of potential targets for prosecution and dozens more potential witnesses who must be vetted, federal prosecutors like Mr. Durham will always – ALWAYS – wait to interview the big fish last.

The reason why is simple: They want to give the smaller fish – like, say, Peter Strzok or Bruce Ohr or Kevin Clinesmith – every opportunity to make a deal and turn state’s witness before they talk to the really big targets like Durham and Comey. This is the natural progression of any such investigation.

So, for better or worse, this is actually great news, a sign that Durham is finally getting to the end of his investigation. Attorney General William Barr has twice promised a “report” from Durham by the “end of summer,” which is September 22. Barr has also indicated that Durham has had at least one grand jury convened, and it is the job of a grand jury to true bill indictments.

Hopefully it isn’t all a Jeff Sessions-like smoke screen, but we will find out either way soon enough.

Stay tuned.

Hey, look: A random act of actual journalism at NPR. – Watch despicable Nancy Pelosi’s reaction as her trusted toady Judy Woodruff goes off-script and actually asks her a semi-tough question:

For a moment there, Woodruff must have remembered that she used to be a journalist. You can be sure she will not make that mistake again when talking to Pelosi.

And now a word from the mindless blithering hacks at Morning Joe. – Watch this clip and marvel as the liberals at Morning Joe twist themselves into racist pretzels in their efforts to serve as apologist for the Democrat Party’s addled nominee, Joe Biden:

You just could never make this stuff up, folks. What you are watching here in real time is the Democrat Party removing its own mask and returning to its Jim Crow past. All for the sake of getting the Bad Orange Man out of the White House. Amazing.

Gosh, Ted, who tipped you off? – Portland’s communist Democrat Mayor Ted Wheeler suddenly woke up on Thursday and realized that the Democrat-funded and sponsored rioters who he has been allowing to run wild in his city are creating b-roll for President Donald Trump to use in his re-election campaign ads. Hey, I wonder what tipped him off?

From a piece at KGW8 TV in Portland:

Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler and Portland Police Chief Chuck Lovell spoke about the ongoing violence in Portland during a news conference Thursday.

On Wednesday night, Portland police declared a riot, arrested 8 people and used tear gas after a crowd of a couple hundred people gathered outside the East Precinct. Some people in the crowd tried to set the building on fire while officers and others were inside, the mayor said. Others tried to smash the glass doors of the precinct building and threw large, heavy rocks and other items at officers.

Wheeler said what happened Wednesday night “was intended to cause serious injury or death, and it very well could have.”

“When you commit arson with an accelerant in an attempt to burn down a building that is occupied by people that you have intentionally trapped inside, you are not demonstrating. You are attempting to commit murder,” Wheeler said.

[End]

Oh, you don’t saaaaayyyyy. But it gets better.

From a piece at Willamette Week:

“Don’t think for a moment that, if you are participating in this activity, you are not being a prop for the reelection campaign of Donald Trump,” Wheeler said. “Because you absolutely are. You are creating the B-roll film that will be used in ads nationally to help Donald Trump during his campaign. If you don’t want to be part of that, then don’t show up.”

[End]

Ok, so, what did the Democrat-funded and sponsored rioters do in response to their partner’s admonitions? Why, they expanded their operations into a residential district, naturally.

For coverage of that, we must turn to real, actual journalist Andy Ngo, since the hacks in the corrupt corporate news media refuse to do their jobs:

But never fear: The Democrat Antifa/BLM rioters did not abandon their downtown mission:

So, the situation in Portland – which your corrupt news media continues to describe as “mostly peaceful” – is now about to spiral out of control unless the rioters’ Democrat sponsors pull their funding. Maybe this was why President Trump was once again speculating about ramping up federal involvement in that city again yesterday.

That is all.

Trump Yanks John Brennan’s Security Clearance and 12,000 U.S. Troops From Germany

Rejoice, citizens, for good news abounds!

This is what sensible people would refer to as “a good start.”– For starters, President Donald Trump (I still never tire of typing those three glorious words in that order) announced this morning that the United States of by-God America is pulling 12,000 troops out of Germany. For those keeping count, that is fully 3,000 more troops than Trump indicated he would be pulling out of that country when the topic was first raised a few weeks ago.

Even better is the reason the President gave for making the move:

Beautiful. Wonderful. Absolutely glorious.

More detail from a report at Politico:

The Pentagon on Wednesday laid out a plan to shift nearly 12,000 service members out of Germany after President Donald Trump repeatedly said the country was “delinquent” on defense spending.

Top defense leaders said the plan, which would bring 6,400 service members home and reposition nearly 5,600 to other countries in Europe, is part of the Pentagon’s broader effort to redistribute U.S. forces across the world to better compete with new threats from Russia and China. The move will leave 24,000 troops in Germany, where the United States has stationed a significant number of forces since the end of the Cold War.

Esper stressed that the plan will enhance NATO’s ability to deter Russian aggression and strengthen U.S. alliances in Europe, yet also reiterated the president’s criticism of Germany.

“Let’s be clear: I think Germany is the wealthiest country in Europe, Germany can and should pay more to its defense, It should certainly meet the 2 percent standard and I would argue go above and beyond that,” Esper said, noting that the plan has already received “very positive feedback” from several European countries.

The move will cost in the “single-digit” billions of dollars, Esper said, and will begin in the coming weeks.

German officials immediately trashed the plan. Norbert Röttgen, chair of the Bundestag’s foreign affairs committee, noted in a statement to POLITICO that the move would weaken the NATO alliance and reduce the effectiveness of the U.S. military against Russia and in the Middle East.
[End]

Thus in the end does Germany’s spokesman prove the President’s point: The country that is delinquent in its dues to NATO accusing the country that funds the preponderance of that out-dated alliance’s operations of moving to “weaken” it. Stunning hypocrisy that makes one question the wisdom of our country spending another dollar defending the German homeland.

Just as a reminder for those who have forgotten: NATO was created to defend Eastern Europe from the Soviet Union. The Soviet Union hasn’t existed for 30 years, and Russia is far less a threat to the free world than China, Iran or even North Korea.

Tell us again why NATO still exists, because the answer is truly no longer clear.

But…but…but the New York Times assured us a year ago that Brennan’s security clearance had never been revoked. – They wouldn’t lie to us, would they?

Apparently, they would. The Washington Examiner reports today that corrupt Obama CIA Director John Brennan discovered he no longer has access to classified information while he was working on a new book.

From the DC Examiner piece:

Former CIA Director John Brennan, a vocal critic of President Trump, found out he had been blocked from accessing his classified notes and records while working on his new memoir.

He writes in his forthcoming book, Undaunted: My Fight Against America’s Enemies, at Home and Abroad, that after months of “haggling” he discovered the CIA was abiding by the directive Trump gave in August 2018 “that purportedly forbids anyone in the intelligence community from sharing classified information with me.”

The White House confirmed the directive was being enforced, which is news considering the New York Times reported in May of last year that the president never revoked Brennan’s security clearance.

“The President has constitutional authority to control access to classified information, which he exercised here in view of Mr. Brennan’s erratic behavior and the President’s belief that access to classified information should be solely for the benefit of the government and the American people,” White House spokesman Judd Deere said.

[End]

Brennan, who has been clearly implicated in the Obamagate schemes to fix the 2016 election and spy on the Trump campaign and transition team, is currently a target of John Durham’s investigation and likely in jeopardy of spending many years in federal prison. Obviously, it would not be in any way appropriate for such a person to maintain a security clearance while the investigation is ongoing.

It is also pretty obvious that Brennan’s book is designed to build up a fund with which to pay his legal bills, which are no doubt already mounting up. There is no reason why the federal government that he betrayed should allow him continued access to classified information with which he has very clearly demonstrated he cannot be trusted.

President Trump should be celebrated for protecting the nation from a clear and present danger.

That is all.

Ric Grenell Releases Obama Unmasker List – Joe Biden Included ***UPDATED***

UPDATE: Ok, let’s talk about why all of the stuff revealed by Catherine Herridge in the tweet copied below is important.

First, there is nothing illegal about the practice of “unmasking” in and of itself. It is standard procedure in Democrat and Republican administrations alike for officials to make these requests so that they can better understand briefings and other documents they are attempting to digest. So, it’s all probably legal, and every one of the 39 Obama officials named in today’s release had proper authorization to “unmask” General Flynn for these specific purposes and for their own use.

The scandal here is that many of the people on this list were engaging in unmasking not only General Flynn but a wide variety of U.S. citizens, not for their own internal, private use, but in order to be able to broadcast this information throughout the Obama Administration and cause it to be leaked, either by themselves or others, to willing accomplices within the corrupt news media.

Look at these documents copied below, and note the flurry of activity that took place on December 14 and 15. Fully 35 of the 39 Obama officials who appear on this list made an unmasking request on those dates. Why do you think that is the case?

Well, it’s most likely because that was right at the time when then-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper issued an order that dramatically broadened the number of agencies and levels of employees with whom this information could be shared by the requesters.

Remember that? Prior to that order, government officials were very restricted in sharing this information with others in the government. Obviously, that restriction was there in order to protect the U.S. citizens who were the subjects of the unmasking efforts.

But Clapper – almost certainly acting on direct orders from Obama himself – took care of that, and as a result enabled the creation of a mountain of leaks that we saw during the Trump transition.

That’s the biggest part of this scandal.

But there’s more. For one thing, consider the fact that that flurry of activity on the 14th and 15th took place two full weeks before Flynn’s infamous phone call with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak on December 29. Remember: It is that call that Comey/McCabe/Strzok, et all at the FBI have always claimed as the event that triggered their suspicions about Gen. Flynn. This list proves that is all just another lie, and that the Obama coup cabal was targeting Flynn much earlier.

Also, think about the nature of the names you see on this list. The person with the most requests is Samantha Power, who was the Ambassador to the United Nations. What in the hell was the UN Ambassador doing making such numerous requests specific to General Flynn?

And what in the world was going on at the U.S. Treasury Department? You had no fewer than 6 Treasury officials feeling the need to unmask the designated incoming National Security Advisor. Why?

What do you think motivated the President’s own Chief of Staff, Denis McDonough, to make an unmasking request on January 5? Could have been because that was the exact day on which Obama held that meeting with his national security team, and then afterwards took James Comey and Sally Yates aside to specifically talk about the operation to entrap Flynn? Could be. Seems likely.

Finally, what possible legitimate reason would the outgoing Vice President of the United States have to unmask General Flynn on January 12, 2017, just 8 days before he was to leave office. At the very least, shouldn’t Mr. Biden be asked that question by every corrupt journalist who interviews him from now until November 3? If Biden were a Republican, we all know that would certainly happen.

So, the fallout from this specific release of documents is not going to be that anyone is going to jail for doing this. The fallout is that it demonstrates once again the organized effort at the highest levels of the Obama Administration to hamper the Trump transition team, an effort that continued after Trump had assumed office.

The impact to Biden is that it clearly shows once again that he was personally involved in these efforts. There is little question that this revelation will only serve to amplify efforts by many Democrats to prevent him from becoming the nominee. This man is already operating in an atmosphere in which a new poll out this week shows that 30% of Democrat voters still do not expect him to ultimately be nominated at the party’s convention. That percentage will grow because of today’s revelation, especially when you factor in the fact that just yesterday, Biden denied any knowledge about any of this on national television.

One reader asked earlier if this might trigger Bernie Sanders to reactivate his own campaign. That’s a good question, one that most likely hinges on whether Sanders has already been bought off to get out of the race like he was in 2016. If nothing else, his price might suddenly go up.

Grenell and Barr are Setting the Stage for Durham to Act

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Several things coming together yesterday and this morning related to Spygate and the Mike Flynn case, which are parts of the same overarching Obamagate scandal:

First, you have the federal judge in the Flynn case – Emmet Sullivan – still refusing to dismiss the case even though the Department of Justice last week made the decision to withdraw all charges and notify him that it would not prosecute the case going forward. Sullivan took the extraordinary step on Tuesday to not only request more briefings from both the defense and the prosecution, but also made it clear that he plans to accept Amicus briefs (aka, friend of the court briefs) from third parties.

Sullivan cites Washington, DC’s “Civil Rule 7(o) as if it somehow requires him to take this step, since he has obviously already received at least one such brief, and even cites the utterly corrupt judge Amy Berman Jackson as justification for doing so.

Yet, in a different citation earlier in his Minute Order, Sullivan also includes this: “An amicus brief should normally be allowed when a party is not represented competently or is not represented at all, when the amicus has an interest in some other case that may be affected by the decision in the present case… or when the amicus has unique information or perspective that can help the court beyond the help that the lawyers for the parties are able to provide. Otherwise, leave to file an amicus curiae should be denied.”

In other words, there is nothing compelling Sullivan to take this extraordinary step that will extend the government’s heinous abuse of General Flynn – it’s entirely up to his own discretion. He’s doing this because he wants to do it, for reasons that are not yet clear, but that are easy to guess.

Flynn attorney Sidney Powell pointed out yesterday that Sullivan has in the  past repeatedly denied third parties the ability to file such briefs favorable to General Flynn.

Sullivan’s a snake, plain and simple.

Second, DOJ Spokesperson Kerri Kupec appeared on Fox News with Martha MacCallum last night, and had several important and revealing things to say during her segment:

Summary:

The first key point is her reiteration of DOJ’s position that “this case should have never been brought.”

Then there’s this MOAB aimed at FBI Headquarters: “What distinguishes the FBI as a premier law enforcement agency from, say, vs. the secret police, is that they can’t just go around asking American citizens questions just for the sake of asking those questions. There needs to be a specific basis, an articulable basis for asking that question.”

On the unmasking documents that we talked about yesterday, she specifically ties that information to John Durham’s investigation, as we assumed would be the case: “Last week, ODNI provided information related to unmasking, and it’s that list that you’re referencing right now. And as it’s relevant to investigations, John Durham’s investigation specifically, I am sure he will take a look at that. And just to be clear about that, John Durham, in his review of what happened in 2016 and 2017, he’s already looking at this issue of unmasking under his broader review. I can tell you that his team is working diligently to get to the bottom of what happened, because Martha, what happened to candidate Trump and then President Trump was one of the greatest political injustices in American history and should never happen again.”

Here is what we said in yesterday’s piece about those documents:

Of course, as a DOJ spokesperson later clarified, DOJ has no intention of releasing these documents because they are ODNI documents, and the decision about whether or not to make them public rests with Ric Grenell, the Acting Director of National Intelligence.

It was Grenell, if you remember, who famously hand-delivered copies of these documents and perhaps others last Thursday to Attorney General William Barr. Corrupt media outlets like ABC have been assuming Grenell did that because he wanted Barr’s permission to make them public. As a matter of actual reality, though, Grenell delivered them to Barr because those documents are likely  to be very useful evidence in the investigation being mounted by U.S. Attorney John Durham.

Kupec then repeatedly clarifies (because MacCallum is either incredibly dense or was pretending to be so) the fact we pointed out yesterday: That these documents are ODNI documents – meaning they source from the U.S. Intelligence Community, not the FBI or the DOJ.

Think about the implications of that key fact, and what they mean to Obama-era DNI James Clapper and CIA Director John Brennan.

Finally, Fox News is breathlessly reporting this morning that Acting DNI Ric Grenell is preparing to release at least some of those documents and name the names of the high Obama officials who were engaged in the thousands of illegal unmaskings of U.S. citizens today or tomorrow.

So, what to make of Kupec’s comments?

First, it’s key to remember that she is a spokesperson, and everything she says in public has been painstakingly vetted up through the entire chain of command at the U.S. Department of Justice, all the way to Barr himself. When Kupec speaks in public, she speaks for the Attorney General and the entire DOJ using very specific and pre-approved language and key messages. She’s not just talking off the top of her head.

Given that, it is extraordinarily significant that she compares what the FBI did to General Flynn to the actions of the “secret police,” a term that most Americans would tie to the Nazi Gestapo or the Soviet KGB. Remember that that analogy is now informed by the findings of Durham’s investigation, which has likely been ongoing since late 2018.

The same is true of Kupec’s out-and-out, unqualified declarative statement that “what happened to candidate Trump and then President Trump was one of the greatest political injustices in American history.”

Then there is the news that Durham has already been looking at the unmasking issue, which one would have naturally assumed since that operation was both a by-product of and an informative element to the Obama Coup Cabal’s illegal domestic spying operation. This is new information that Barr has not been specific about in his numerous interviews on the Durham investigation.

That new information, and the other key points laid out by Kupec in this 6 minute clip indicate that, when you see the names of the unmaskers revealed by Grenell and the DNI documents, it is almost a certainty that those are the names of key targets of the Durham investigation.

Grenell did not just run over to DOJ HQ to meet with Barr last Thursday after working hours for fun. It is highly likely that Grenell personally took those documents over to Barr in order to review them together and to get Barr’s agreement that Durham’s investigation is now at a point that making them public would serve to set the stage for further public action by Durham.

UPDATE: And just like magic in support of that point, CBS News’s Catherine Herridge issued this tweet about 15 minutes after I finalized this post:

Timing is everything in life.

The final key point to remember in all of this is that John Durham is a prosecutor, not a report-writer. The public actions taken by federal prosecutors are: Perp-walks, bookings, indictments and trials.

Of course, it remains possible that Durham is really not doing anything – if you see news that he is only working on a report, you will know that is the case – and it’s all just for show.

But boy, over the last 7 days, it’s been one hell of a show.

That is all.

Reminder: Obama Knew Everything

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Don’t kid yourselves otherwise, folks: Obama knew everything that was happening in his administration. If you think Brennan and Comey and Strzok and McCabe and Priestap and Page and Baker and Rice and Lynch and all the other participants in the FBI/DOJ Coup Cabal just took it upon themselves to a) cover up the Hillary Clinton email scandal, b) attempt to rig the 2016 general election, c) mount an illegal spying effort on members of the Trump campaign, d) continue that illegal spying effort on the Trump transition team, e) defraud the FISA court in the process, f) entrap and frame General Mike Flynn, g) attempt to entrap and frame President Donald Trump himself, and g) invent a false rationale for the appointment of a special counsel whose job was really to mount a coup d’etat on U.S. soil, and hid all of that from Barack Hussein Obama His Own Self, then you are terribly naive and most likely intentionally uninformed.

The key to really understanding Obama’s first-hand knowledge of and almost certain involvement in the planning of all of these things is to understand the real nature of the meeting of January 5, 2017. Amid the previously-withheld documents released over the past ten days, we discover this about that meeting:

“Yates first learned of the December 2016 calls between [LTG Michael] Flynn and [Russian Ambassador to the United States, Sergey] Kislyak on January 5, 2017, while in the Oval Office. Yates, along with then FBI-Director James Comey, then-CIA Director John Brennan, and then-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, were at the White House to brief members of the Obama Administration on the classified Intelligence Community Assessment on Russian Activities in Recent U.S Elections. President Obama was joined by his National Security Advisor, Susan Rice, and others from the National Security Council,” the document states.

“After the briefing, Obama dismissed the group but asked Yates and Comey to stay behind. Obama started by saying he had ‘learned of the information about Flynn’ and his conversation with Kislyak about sanctions. Obama specified he did not want any additional information on the matter, but was seeking information on whether the White House should be treating Flynn any differently, given the information. At that point, Yates had no idea what the President was talking about, but figured it out based on the conversation. Yates recalled Comey mentioning the Logan Act, but can’t recall if he specified there was an ‘investigation,'” it continues.

Note how Yates, one of the most reprehensible of all Obama sycophants, is shocked to learn that the POTUS himself somehow knows about the FBI’s efforts to dig up dirt on General Flynn. And remember that this is just a day after Peter Strzok had intervened to reverse the decision that Priestap and McCabe had already made to shut that effort down, which we now know would have been the proper decision. But here we are on January 5, and the thing is still alive and Obama’s discussing the details directly with Comey. That is stunning in and of itself.

But even more important here is to remember what is so key about the meeting of the full group that took place before Yates’s revelation. Let’s remember that this is the very meeting about which Susan Rice wrote her infamous “memo to self” in which she attempted to make the meeting and Obama’s conduct in it seem to be completely innocuous and “by the book.” Chuck Ross, then with the Daily Caller, remembered that incident in 2018:

Rice sent the email at 12:15 p.m. on Jan. 20, 2017, her final day in office. In the message, she memorialized a Jan. 5 Oval Office meeting she attended with President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, FBI Director James Comey and Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates.

The topic was the ongoing investigation into possible Trump campaign collusion. According to press reports, Comey briefed Obama that day on the unverified Steele dossier.

Grassley and Graham laid out their concerns with the email in a letter sent to Rice last week.

“It strikes us as odd that, among your activities in the final moments on the final day of the Obama administration, you would feel the need to send yourself such an unusual email purporting to document a conversation involving President Obama and his interactions with the FBI regarding the Trump/Russia investigation,” they wrote.

In her email, Rice wrote to herself:

On January 5, following a briefing by [Intelligence Community] leadership on Russian hacking during the 2016 Presidential election, President Obama had a brief follow-on conversation with FBI Director Jim Comey and Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates in the Oval Office. Vice President Biden and I were also present.

She said that Obama began the conversation “by stressing his continued commitment to ensuring that every aspect of this issue is handled by the Intelligence and law enforcement communities ‘by the book.’”

“The President stressed that he is not asking about, initiating or instructing anything from a law enforcement perspective. He reiterated that our law enforcement team needs to proceed as it normally would by the book,” she continued.

Rice also wrote that there was a discussion over whether classified information regarding Russia should be withheld from the incoming Trump administration.

“From a national security perspective, however, President Obama said he wants to be sure that, as we engage with the incoming team, we are mindful to ascertain if there is any reason that we cannot share information fully as it relates to Russia,” she wrote.

Grassley and Graham noted that the next portion of the email contained classified information and remains redacted. In the next section, Rice wrote: “The President asked Comey to inform him if anything changes in the next few weeks that should affect how we share classified information with the incoming team. Comey said he would.”

Grassley and Graham, who serve on the Senate Judiciary Committee, say they question whether the Obama team conducted the Trump investigation “by the book.”

[End]

This was a blatantly transparent, last-minute attempt by Rice to try to sanitize this meeting for the public record. There was literally no other reason for her to be engaging in this particular activity on her final day in office.

But immediately following this meeting, the FBI redoubled its efforts to entrap Flynn. Obama also took the action of drastically loosening rules around the sharing of classified information within various departments of the administration, including raw intelligence that was use by his senior people to illegally unmask hundreds of American citizens. This resulted in a flood of leaks to corrupt media outlets intended to damage the incoming Trump Administration.

The great Mollie Hemingway had a really good piece on Friday detailing other despicable actions that flowed out of this January 5 meeting led by Obama His Own Self:

A clearer picture is emerging of the drastic steps that were taken to accomplish Obama’s goal in the following weeks and months. Shortly thereafter, high-level operatives began intensely leaking selective information supporting a supposed Russia-Trump conspiracy theory, the incoming National Security Advisor was ambushed, and the incoming Attorney General was forced to recuse himself from oversight of investigations of President Trump. At each major point in the operation, explosive media leaks were a key strategy in the operation to take down Trump.

Not only was information on Russia not fully shared with the incoming Trump team, as Obama directs, the leaks and ambushes made the transition chaotic, scared quality individuals away from working in the administration, made effective governance almost impossible, and materially damaged national security. When Comey was finally fired on May 9, in part for his duplicitousness regarding his handling of the Russia collusion theory, he orchestrated the launch of a Special Counsel probe that continued his efforts for another two years. That probe ended with Mueller finding no evidence of any American colluding with Russia to steal the 2016 election, much less Trump or anyone connected to him.

An analysis of the timeline from early 2017 shows a clear pattern of behavior from the federal officials running the collusion operation against the Trump campaign. It also shows how essential media leaks were to their strategy to sideline key law enforcement and intelligence officials and cripple the ability of the incoming Trump administration to run the country.

[…]

January 5: Yates, Comey, CIA Director John Brennan, and Director of National Intelligence James Clapper briefed Obama on Russia-related matters in the Oval Office. Biden and Rice also attended. After the Obama briefing, the intelligence chiefs who would be leaving at the end of the term were dismissed and Yates and Comey, who would continue in the Trump administration, were asked to stay. Not only did Obama give his guidance about how to perpetuate the Russia collusion theory investigations, he also talked about Flynn’s conversations with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak, according to both Comey and Yates. Interestingly, Clapper, Comey, and Yates all said that they did not brief Obama about these phone calls. Clapper testified he did not brief Obama on the calls, Yates learned about the calls from Obama himself during that meeting, and Comey also testified he didn’t brief Obama about the calls, even though the intelligence was an FBI product. Rice, who publicly lied but later admitted under oath to her widespread use of unmasked intelligence at the end of the Obama administration, likely briefed Obama on the calls and would have had access to the intelligence. Comey mentions the Logan Act at this meeting.

January 6: An ostensibly similar briefing about Russian interference efforts during the 2016 campaign was given to President-elect Trump. After that briefing, Comey privately briefed Trump on the most salacious and absurd “pee tape” allegation in the Christopher Steele dossier, a document the FBI had already used to obtain a warrant to spy on Trump campaign affiliate Carter Page. Comey told Trump he was telling him because CNN was looking for any reason it could find to publish a story about Russia having compromising information on him, and he wanted to warn Trump about it. He did not mention the dossier was completely unverified or that it was the product of a secretly funded operation by the Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee.

January 10: In an amazing coincidence, CNN found the excuse to publish the Russia claims after a high-level Obama intelligence operative leaked that Comey had briefed Trump about the dossier. This selective leak, which was credulously accepted by CNN reporters Evan Perez, Jim Sciutto, Jake Tapper and Carl Bernstein, may have been the most important step in the operation to harm the incoming Trump administration. The leak of the briefing of Trump was used to legitimize a ridiculous dossier full of allegations the FBI knew to be false that multiple news organizations had previously refused to report on for lack of substantiation, and created a cloud of suspicion over Trump’s campaign and administration by insinuating he was being blackmailed by Russia.

January 12: The next part of the strategy was the explosive leak to David Ignatius of the Washington Post to legitimize the use against Flynn of the Logan Act, a likely unconstitutional 1799 law prohibiting private individuals, not public incoming national security advisors, from discussing foreign policy with foreign governments. Ignatius accepted the leak from the Obama official. He wrote that Flynn had called Kislyak. “What did Flynn say, and did it undercut the U.S. sanctions? The Logan Act (though never enforced) bars U.S. citizens from correspondence intending to influence a foreign government about ‘disputes’ with the United States. Was its spirit violated?” Flynn’s routine and appropriate phone call became fodder for a developing grand conspiracy theory of Russia collusion. In discussions with investigators, both DOJ’s Mary McCord and Comey conspicuously cite this Ignatius column as somehow meaningful in the approach they would take with Flynn. “Nothing, to my mind, happens until the 13th of January, when David Ignatius publishes a column that contains a reference to communication Michael Flynn had with the Russians. That was on the 13th of January,” Comey said of the column that ran online on January 12. In fact, quite a bit had happened at the FBI prior to that leak, with much conversation about how to utilize the Logan Act against Flynn. And the leak-fueled Ignatius column would later be used by FBI officials to justify an illegal ambush interview of Flynn in the White House.

January 23: Another important criminal leak was given to Ellen Nakashima and Greg Miller of the Washington Post, also based on criminal leaks. Their article, headlined “FBI reviewed Flynn’s calls with Russian ambassador but found nothing illicit,” was intended to make Flynn feel safe and put him at ease about the FBI stance on those calls the day before they planned to ambush him in an interview. The article was used to publicize false information when it said, “Although Flynn’s contacts with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak were listened to, Flynn himself is not the active target of an investigation, U.S. officials said.” In fact, emails prior to this date confirm Flynn was their prime target. This article was later cited by McCabe as the reason why they were justified in concealing from Flynn the real purpose of their interview. Flynn later asked McCabe if he knew how all the information about his phone calls had been made public and whether it had been leaked. Any potential response from McCabe to Flynn has been redacted from his own notes about the conversation.

[End]

Mollie details much, much more in her piece, which everyone should go read in full. All of these despicable, anti-American actions flowed directly out of that January 5 meeting in the White House.

One big, glaring aspect about that meeting, in addition to directly implicating Obama in all of this, is the fact that Quid Pro Creepy Uncle China Joe Biden was also in attendance that day. That’s right: The presumptive presidential nominee of the Democrat Party also knew about all of this, although his ability to retain that knowledge remains an open question.

I’ve said this for three years now, but it bears repeating again: This is the biggest scandal in American history. We had a sitting President of the United States actively involved in an effort to fix a national election and then to bring down his successor. The truth of this is as plain as the nose on your face, and so horrible that it is sickening to contemplate.

What this means is that everything President Trump has told you about this scandal has been true: There was no Russia collusion in his campaign; Trump Tower was being illegally spied upon by the Obama FBI and other intelligence agencies; Mike Flynn was framed; Roger Stone and Paul Manafort have been unfairly brutalized in Soviet-style show trials led by Obama appointed judges; There was no legal basis for the appointment of a Special Counsel; Jim Comey did indeed attempt to entrap and frame Trump himself; on and on it goes.

And yesterday, when you heard President Trump tell the hosts of Fox and Friends that Obama himself knew about it all and participated in the planning, that was true, too. It all goes back to that meeting of January 5, 2017. That is the fulcrum around which all the myriad aspects of this still-unfolding act of outright treason against America revolves.

That is all.

William Barr Drops Some Bombs In Fox Interview

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

This is all good to know. Now, some indictments and perp walks, please? – In his interview aired on The Ingraham Angle last night, William Barr laid down several key markers. During the course of the 7-minute clip below, he endorses President Trump’s firing of corrupt ICIG Michael Atkinson – directly refuting the assessment of his plodding underling, DOJ IG Michael Horowitz – and clarifies that U.S. Attorney John Durham’s role is to prosecute the guilty, not necessarily to write a report.

Unfortunately to many of us, he also endorses the renewal of the FISA law that has been so horribly and systematically abused by the hopelessly corrupt FBI. But even there we find some encouraging news: Rather than repeating his demand for a “clean” renewal of the statute, he talks about putting in some “safeguards” that would work to prevent further abuse. But he does not clarify whether he means those safeguards to be in the statute – which would give them the force of law – or in FBI ‘procedure,’ which would make them nothing more than an inconvenience for corrupt FBI officials to continue to ignore.

Below is the video clip, followed by a transcript:

Transcript:

Ingraham – I believe you urged consideration of the federal inmate population given the coronavirus. Where does that stand now?

Barr – We’re not going to open our prisons and let prisoners go free. Our mission is to protect the public, and we’re not going to do anything that’s contrary to that. Where we find a prisoner who is vulnerable because of their age or medical condition; that has served the substantial part of their sentence; has not been convicted of a sexual assault or a violent crime; does not pose a threat to the community; we are using every tool we have to put them into home confinement, provided we thing home confinement will not be more dangerous than staying where they are. And also, after a quarantine period where we are sure they’re not taking the disease into the public.

Ingraham – You have been criticized recently for focusing on the drug cartels during the Covid virus [plays clip of idiot reporters].

Barr – Well, it might come as a surprise to some of these people that the Justice Department has 115,000 people who are dedicated to protecting the public safety, including preventing narcotics trafficking. And we’re actually able to do more than one thing at a time. And we’re handling different kinds of cases. Maybe fraud isn’t on the top of their mind, but we still police fraud. It’s interesting, because drugs kill 70,000 Americans a year – 70,000 a year. It’s poison, and we have to make sure that during this period the cartels are not taking advantage of the United States and pumping this poison up into the United States.

Ingraham – And the border is getting tougher to penetrate now, and so they’re coming in via boat and navigable waterways.

Barr – Right, and they’re relying more on boats to bring the cocaine up from South America up for further transportation into the United States. So, the Justice Department can do more than one thing at once. I’m amused whenever I see, you know, ‘Barr has intervened in this case, or Barr has done such and such’ at the time of the Covid crisis. Business for the Department of Justice has to continue.

Ingraham – John Brennan has come out, smashing the President’s firing of Inspector General Michael Atkinson, let’s listen:

[Brennan Clip] – By removing Mr. Atkinson, and I think also sending a signal to others, Mr. Trump continues to show his insecurity in terms of trying to stop anybody who was going to expose, again the lawlessness, that I think he not only has allowed to continue, but also that he abets.

BarrI think the president did the right thing in removing Atkinson. From the vantage point of the Dept. of Justice, he had interpreted his statute; which is a fairly narrow statute that gave him jurisdiction over wrong-doing by intelligence people; and tried to turn it into a commission to explore anything in the government, and immediately report it to congress without letting the executive branch look at it and determine whether there was any problem.  He was told this in a letter from the department of justice, and he is obliged to follow the interpretation of the department of justice, and he ignored it. So I think the President was correct in firing him.

Ingraham – And it’s the second inspector general he’s fired since the beginning of this pandemic. And of course that is used to say: ‘well, the president doesn’t want a watchdog’.

Barr – No, I don’t think that’s true. I think he wants responsible watchdogs.

Ingraham – What can you tell us about the state of John Durham’s investigation? People have been waiting for the, the final report, on what happened with this, what can you tell us?

Barr– Well I think a report y’know, may be, and probably will be, a by-product of his activity; but his primary focus isn’t to prepare a report, he is looking to bring to justice people who were engaged in abuses if he can show that there were criminal violations; and that’s what the focus is on. And, as you know being a lawyer yourself, building these cases – especially the sprawling case we have between us that went on for two or three years here – it takes some time, it takes some time to build the case.

So he’s diligently pursuing it.  My own view is that the evidence shows that we’re not dealing with just mistakes or sloppiness, there was something far more troubling here; and we’re going to get to the bottom of it. And if people broke the law, and we can establish that with the evidence, they will be prosecuted.

Ingraham – The president is very frustrated, I think you obviously know that. About Andrew McCabe, he believes that people like McCabe and others just were able to basically flout the laws, and so far with impunity.

BarrI think the president has every right to be frustrated, because I think what happened to him was one of the greatest travesties in American historyWithout any basis, they started this investigation of his campaign; and even more concerning actually, is what happened after the campaign; a whole pattern of events while he was President, to sabotage the presidency. And I think that, or at least had the effect of sabotaging the presidency.

Ingraham – Will FISA abuses be prevented going forward given what happened here where FISA judges were not given critical pieces of information; material facts about evidence that informed the governments’ okaying of surveillance on American citizens.

Barr – You know I think it’s possible to put in a regime that will make it very hard, either to willfully circumvent FISA, or to do so sloppily without due regard for the rights of the American person involved. And also to make it very clear that any misconduct will be discovered and discovered fairly promptly.  So I do think we can put in safeguards that will enable us to go forward with this important tool. I think it’s very sad, and the people who abused FISA have a lot to answer for. Because this was an important tool to protect the American people, they abused it, they undercut public confidence in FISA but also the FBI as an institution. And we have to rebuild that.

[End]

So, there you have it. You can interpret it any way you want, and I know most of you will. But in doing so, you should think about why Barr felt the need to give this particular interview at this particular time? He isn’t under any real scrutiny from the corrupt news media right now, or under any cloud of controversy.

Thus, the timing of this interview is quite interesting, as well as the content. It indicates to me that Barr wanted to use this interview to send some very specific messages to some very specific people, including John Brennan. Otherwise, what reason would there have been to do it?

Think about it.

That is all.

This Will Drive the Deep State Nuts: Trump Preparing for a Major House-Cleaning

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Yesterday’s Campaign Update focused on the efforts by Acting Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Ric Grenell to identify and get rid of the bad actors remaining embeded within the Intelligence Community (IC), and the panic that is creating in the Deep State and its corrupt media hacks at the New York Times.

Today, Jonathan Swan – who is actually a pretty solid working journalist – at Axios has a report that will drive the Brennans, Comeys and Clappers of the world even crazier: It turns out that President Trump has assigned people within his body of trusted advisors to spend the last year-and-a-half compiling lists of disloyal government officials, along with names of Trump supporters who are qualified and willing to replace them.

As reported by Swan:

The Trump White House and its allies, over the past 18 months, assembled detailed lists of disloyal government officials to oust — and trusted pro-Trump people to replace them — according to more than a dozen sources familiar with the effort who spoke to Axios.

Driving the news: By the time President Trump instructed his 29-year-old former body man and new head of presidential personnel to rid his government of anti-Trump officials, he’d gathered reams of material to support his suspicions.

  • While Trump’s distrust has only intensified since his impeachment and acquittal, he has long been on the hunt for “bad people” inside the White House and U.S. government, and fresh “pro-Trump” options. Outside advisers have been happy to oblige.

Oh, man, heads must be exploding at the Times, the Washington Post, CNN and MSNBC over this one. And can you imagine the nervous breakdowns taking place all over the offices of the CIA, FBI, DOJ and State Department?

Perhaps the best part of Swan’s piece is his concluding paragraph:

The bottom line: As the New York Times’ Peter Baker wrote on Saturday, “in some of the most critical corners of the Trump administration, officials show up for work now never entirely sure who will be there by the end of the evening — themselves included.”

Good. Great. Fantastic. This is three years overdue, a house-cleaning the President has been counseled to forego due to political factors and the interminable coup d’etat effort against him led by Rod Rosenstein, Robert Mueller, Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi.

Now that the idiotic impeachment scam has run its course, President Trump – according to Swan – feels liberated, free to finally rid his administration of seditious Obama/Bush/Clinton holdovers and put his own people into key positions. In every previous presidential administration in our history, this kind of house-cleaning was considered to be standard operating procedure. But due to the efforts of the Deep State and its corrupt media toadies, it has taken three long years enduring constant leaks, subversions and betrayals for this President to feel free to finally do what he was elected to do.

Man, this is going to be some fun.

That is all.

The Barr Department of Justice Produces an Outrage in the Flynn Case

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

This is not encouraging. Not encouraging at all. – Early Tuesday afternoon, lawyers for the Justice Department prosecuting the case against Lt. General Mike Flynn revised their previous sentencing recommendation in the case. Last year they had recommended a probationary sentence for the former National Security Advisor, who pled guilty to lying the the FBI during their ambush interview of him in the early days of the Trump Administration.

Today, the DOJ lawyers – one of whom participated in the Mueller Witch Hunt – revised their recommendation to jail time of 0 to 6 months. As reported by Fox News:

In a reversal, the Justice Department has recommended up to six months of prison time for ex-national security adviser Michael Flynn—claiming he has refused to “accept responsibility” for his actions.

“Given the serious nature of the defendant’s offense, his apparent failure to accept responsibility, his failure to complete his cooperation in—and his affirmative efforts to undermine—the prosecution of [ex-Flynn associate] Bijan Rafiekian … the government recommends that the court sentence the defendant within the applicable Guidelines range of 0 to 6 months of incarceration,” federal prosecutors wrote in a sentencing memo on Tuesday.

In its new sentencing memorandum, the DOJ wrote, “The defendant’s conduct was more than just a series of lies; it was an abuse of trust,” adding, “The government acknowledges that the defendant’s history of military service, and his prior assistance to the government, though not substantial, may distinguish him from these other defendants. The government asks the Court to consider all of these factors, and to impose an appropriate sentence.”

Flynn’s lawyers will respond with their own sentencing recommendation in the next few days.

What’s really happening here is that the DOJ lawyers assigned to the case are angry that General Flynn decided to change lawyers in the midst of their and the FBI’s endless attempts to bully him into offering damaging information against President Trump and various other targets of the Mueller Witch Hunt. Flynn jettisoned his original counsel in favor of the much more aggressive Sydney Powell in December 2018, and since that time has levied a series of allegations of prosecutorial misconduct against the DOJ.

Again as reported by Fox:

In recent months, Powell has lobbed several accusations at federal prosecutors, claiming that they withheld critical documents necessary for the defense of her client. Powell has also demanded that the government turn over two cellphones used by overseas professor Joseph Mifsud, who told former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos that the Russians had “dirt” in the form of emails that could damage Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, claiming that the information would be “material, exculpatory, and relevant to the defense of Mr. Flynn.”

Powell also claimed that FBI agents manipulated the official records of Flynn’s 2017 interview that led to him being charged with lying to investigators in yet another attempt to get Flynn’s case thrown out.

Powell alleged that FBI officials manipulated his FBI 302 — the form used by agents to report or summarize interviews. It’s not clear who may have done the alleged editing, though ex-FBI agent Peter Strzok was involved in the original interview. She also alleged that, at the direction of former FBI Director James Comey, FBI former deputy director Andrew McCabe “personally called Flynn to pave the way for the uncounseled conversation.”

Flynn, for those who may have forgotten, originally decided to enter his guilty plea in 2017 after Mueller and his Witch Hunt gang threatened to go after his family. It was only after the government had requested a series of delays in the sentencing schedule that Flynn finally made the decision to hire Powell and fight back. Today’s revision of the government’s sentencing recommendation is payback from the Justice Department.

Not just any Justice Department, mind you, but the Trump DOJ led for the last 10 months by William Barr. Barr is supposed to be the stand-up guy, the Attorney General who was going to come in and put an end to the two-tiered system of [in]justice created during the Obama years.

Yet, here is General Flynn still being persecuted by Barr’s own employees all these months later. Meanwhile, Andrew McCabe, who not only has admitted to lying to FBI investigators, but who also had a criminal referral entered against him by DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz last year, still walks free and makes gobs of money as a paid contributor for CNN.

While Flynn is being threatened with prison time by Barr’s own lawyers, Obama-era hacks like James Comey, James Clapper, John Brennan and Peter Strzok – all of whom without any question at all committed multiple counts of perjury before congressional committees in 2017 – walk around free men, not subject to any harassment at all from the Department of [in]Justice.

Like most readers of the Campaign Update, I continue to harbor hope that Mr. Barr, through the John Durham investigation that he authorized and continues to at least publicly support, will ultimately begin to right all of the wrongs committed by his predecessors in office, and begin to re-balance this nation’s scales of justice.

But on days like today, when we see Barr’s own employees continue to shamefully abuse an American patriot like General Flynn, holding onto that hope becomes a real burden.

That is all.

Stop Asking About the ‘Durham Report’

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

When is the ‘Durham Report’ coming out?  – I get this question in some form or another pretty much every day. I get it in emails, in PMs on Facebook, in the comments section to this website. “When is the Durham Report coming out” has been this site’s top search term almost on a daily basis for months.

It’s a question that I never answer, for two main reasons. First, I don’t know the answer, and neither does anyone else. Second, and more importantly, is the simple fact that I don’t care, and neither should you.

Wait, what?

Seriously: Why do you care if you ever see a “report” from U.S. Attorney John Durham? John Durham is not a Special Counsel; he is not an Inspector General; he is not a congressional committee or a corrupt reporter or anyone else whose job it is to write reports.

John Durham is a U.S. Attorney, a prosecutor, a man whose job it is to put bad people in jail. Period.

I don’t want to ever see a damn report from John Durham. I am quite frankly sick to freaking death of seeing reports, and you should be, too. We have seen reports from half a dozen congressional committees, authored by Republicans and Democrats alike, and none of the bad actors from the Obama Coup Cabal have gone to prison. We have seen at least four different reports from DOJ IG Michael Horowitz, and none of the bad actors from the Coup Cabal have gone to prison. We have seen the report from Special Counsel Robert Mueller, and none of the bad actors from the Coup Cabal have gone to prison. We have seen a thousand reports from corrupt reporters, and none of the bad actors from the Coup Cabal have gone to prison.

I don’t want to see another report from John Durham. What I want to see from John Durham is a long series of indictments and perp walks and prosecutions and convictions with long prison sentences involving the real, true bad actors from the Obama-era Coup Cabal. I want to see all of those things targeting real, true bad actors like James Comey and John Brennan and James Clapper and Andrew McCabe and Lisa Page and Peter Strzok and Sally Yates and Loretta Lynch and James Baker and Bill Priestap and if it can be proved this neverending coup d’etat originated at the very top, Barack Obama his own self, too.

That is the job of a U.S. attorney, not writing some damn report that leads to nothing of any consequence. I have had a lifetime’s fill of do-nothing reports from toothless public officials. Now, it is time for a real U.S. Attorney, backed by the full power of the U.S. Department of Justice and the U.S. Attorney General, to do his real, actual damn job and put people in prison for a long, long time.

That’s what I want to see from John Durham. That is what I am waiting for.

We know who the truly bad people are, we know what they did and why and when they did those things. Now it is time to start putting them in jail. If all we are going to get from Mr. Durham is just another report, then our country is well and truly doomed and there will be no recovering from it.

So, stop asking me that question, because frankly my dear friends, I don’t give a damn about seeing any report from John Durham.

All I want to see from Mr. Durham is justice.

That is all.

“Die Hard” is not Just a Christmas Movie, it’s a Trump Movie, too

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Ok, are you finally getting tired of all this WINNING yet?  – The NASDAQ closed at a record high level yet again on Tuesday, marking its 9th consecutive record high trading day. The Dow Jones Industrial average and S&P 500 were fractionally down, but all market indexes are pointing to a higher open in pre-trading this morning.

Yes, Virginia, “Die Hard” is a Christmas movie. – C’mon, how can we still be arguing about this? Of course, it’s a Christmas movie. In fact, other than “A Christmas Story,” “Die Hard” may be the greatest Christmas movie ever made.

Think about it: The entire plot of the film revolves around the Nakatomi company Christmas party. The party is being held on Christmas eve. Christmas music permeates the film from beginning to the very end. Christmas imagery is everywhere.

“Die Hard” is not just a great Christmas movie, but a truly great movie, period. Released in 1988, “Die Hard” was the first film of its genre. It was the first pure action film, and it remains the greatest pure action film ever made today, despite hundreds of attempts to replicate it, including five sequels. Its greatness includes:

Best Action Hero: Bruce Willis as John McClane
Best Action movie villain: The great Alan Rickman as Hans Gruber
Best Action movie cop: The great Reginald VelJohnson as Al Powell
Best Action movie wife: Bonnie Bedellia as Holly Gennaro McClane
Best Action movie FBI Guy: Robert Davi as FBI Special Agent Johnson
Best idiot cop: Paul Gleason as Deputy Chief Dwayne T. Robinson
Best corporate jackass: Hart Bochner as Harry Ellis
Best obnoxious TV reporter: William Atherton as Richard Thornburg

Pure greatness, all around.

The plot of the movie resolves itself exactly as any Christmas movie should: Truth triumphs over deception, honesty over thievery, justice over crime and good over evil.

So, “Die Hard” is indeed a Christmas movie, and a great one at that.

But here’s the other thing “Die Hard” is: It’s a totally relevant analogy to the three years of the Donald Trump presidency. Think about it:

  • The Nakatomi party-goers are the American people;
  • The terrorists are the globalist Deep State;
  • The terrorists are there to deprive the people of their freedom and rob them of their wealth;
  • The hero sort of stumbles into his role, almost by accident and fate;
  • The hero spends the first half of the film fighting the Deep State alone, but about midway through the plot is joined by Al Powell, the defender of justice who is eerily analogous to William Barr;
  • The FBI guys are utterly corrupt and inept. Perfect;
  • You even have the corrupt fake news media personified in Richard Thornburg;
  • The terrorist played by ballet dancer Alexander Godunov, who McLane dispatches after a long, brutal battle, is Robert Mueller;
  • Harry Ellis, the self-absorbed jerk who tells Hans Gruber “I can give him to ya,” is James Comey;
  • Deputy Chief Dwayne Robinson is former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe;

McLane even describes himself as Donald Trump perfectly in this exchange with Gruber:

Hans: Who are you, then?
McClane: A fly in the ointment, Hans. A monkey in the wrench. A pain in the ass.

And there is more to come:

  • Hans Gruber falling from the 31st floor of Nakatomi Tower will come in 2020 with the indictment and public perp walk of John Brennan;
  • The climactic scene, with John and Holly McLane riding off safe and sound in their limo will come on Election Night 2020 when Donald Trump gives his victory speech with Melania by his side, after which they will ride back to the White House in Air Force One.

The script for “Die Hard” was based on Roderick Thorp’s 1979 novel, “Nothing Lasts Forever.” It obviously wasn’t intentional, but it’s a little spooky how, 40 years ago, he so accurately depicted everything our nation has been put through over the last three years.

“Die Hard” isn’t just a Christmas movie, it’s a Trump movie, too.

“Oh, the weather outside is frightful,

and the fire is so delightful;

But since we’ve no place to go,

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.”

That is all.

Donald Trump Just Had One of the Best Weeks in Presidential History

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

This truly has been a week to remember, and not just because of impeachment.  – In fact, it could be argued that the idiotic ending to the Democrats’ impeachment sham turns out to only modestly important in the context of the other major  events that happened over the last seven days. The impeachment sham notwithstanding, President Trump just had what may well have been the greatest week of his entire presidency, and that is a truly great thing for America.

Let’s take a look at this truly momentous week:

Markets – This country has seldom seen a run in the stock markets like one seen over the past five trading days. The NASDAQ set a new record high on every one of those days, ending the week with a record closing streak of 8 consecutive trading days. The Dow and S&P 500 set new records on all but one day during the week. This is WINNING on such a grand scale that even the recession promoters in the corrupt mainstream news media have given up.

USMCA – San Fran Nan Pelosi was so embarrassed by her absurd articles of impeachment that, after sitting on the President’s signature trade deal for 8 months, she finally decided to bring it to a vote on the day after the impeachment vote took place. She and her pathetic, demented fellow Democrats desperately tried taking credit for this extremely favorable trade deal with our country’s two largest trading partners, but nobody was buying it. The Senate also approved the deal late in the week.

China Phase 1 trade deal – The President also reached a deal with America’s third-largest trading partner during the same week USMCA passed in congress. Again, this deal is extremely favorable to the United States and its farmers and consumers, and will, along with USMCA, set the U.S. economy up to have another year of roaring growth in 2020.

Durham closing in on Brennan – The week was filled with clear signals that the investigation led by U.S. Attorney John Durham and sanctioned by AG William Barr is real and closing in on the members of the Coup Cabal. The first signal came in a Thursday New York Times Deep State cover piece detailing the fact that Durham is now taking a very close look at ex-CIA Director/communist/radical Islam sympathizer John Brennan. Durham is seeking all of Brennan’s written, digital and phone records from his time at CIA, with a special focus on his 2016 communications with former FBI Director and current National Teenage Drama Queen Jim Comey. Oh, my.

Barr pillories Comey in Fox News interview – In an interview with Martha MacCallum on Fox News later Thursday evening, AG Barr sent another clear signal that stuff is getting real with his and Durham’s investigation, slamming Comey for his blatant prevarications about his role in fixing the 2016 election for the Pantsuit Princess and later effort to frame President Trump. If you haven’t watched Barr’s interview, you should. It will definitely make you feel better about things.

Rogers cooperating with Durham – Friday evening brought the delightful news that former NSA Director and national hero Admiral Mike Rogers has been cooperating with the Barr/Durham investigation for months now, according to a report in The Intercept. It was Adm. Rogers who, in mid-2016, discovered thousands of Obama-era violations of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), Section 702(17) surveillance process, and the hundreds of illegal unmaskings of U.S. citizens carried out by high Obama officials like Susan Rice and U.N. Ambassador Samantha Power. It was also Adm. Rogers who discovered that Obama had bugged Trump Tower during the post-election transition and immediately warned then-President-elect Trump, after which the Transition team moved to a Trump-owned golf resort in New Jersey. The cooperation of Rogers proves the seriousness of the Barr/Durham effort.

Brexit Vote in Parliament – It received precious little notice in the corrupt, globalist U.S. media, but Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s Brexit plan received overwhelming approval in the new, post-election British Parliament. The House of Commons passed the Withdrawal Agreement Bill in a 358 to 234 vote. This sets the stage for Britain to formally withdraw from the globalist European Union by January 31, which in turn sets the stage for President Trump and PM Johnson to execute a massive trade deal between the two giant trading partners.

Impeachment – The President even managed to turn the Democrats’ sham impeachment vote into a net positive for him, holding another massive rally in Battle Creek, MI that began while the absurd vote was being counted. New polls issued simultaneous to and immediately after the vote showed public sentiment moving “massively in the president’s favor” according even to CNN’s own polling analysts. San Fran Nan’s stupid tactic of refusing to communicate the articles of impeachment over to the Senate will only add to the public’s growing disgust with her and her depraved, demented and despicable caucus in the House.

Judges, judges, and more judges – While San Fran Nan was counting her votes in the House, Cocaine Mitch was doing what he does best: Confirming 13 more Trump-appointed judges to the federal bench. This brings the total number of Trump judges added to the federal judiciary in just three years to a whopping 187. That, folks, is WINNING for the long-term.

Turning Point USA – President Trump capped off what was possibly the greatest single week of his presidency with a speech at the meeting of the group Turning Point USA. For those unfamiliar with it, Turning Point USA is a political action group organized by and for the Millennial generation. Conventional “wisdom” tells us that President Trump has a hard time connecting with the younger voting age public.

Take a look at he reception the President received from this group Saturday evening and judge for yourselves:

Any questions?

That is all.

John Durham is Closing in on the Coup Cabal and the New York Times is Panicking

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Ho-hum. So, are you getting tired of all this WINNING yet? No? What’s it gonna take? – Every major stock market index – The Dow, NASDAQ and S&P 500 – once again achieved all-time record high closings on Thursday. For the NASDAQ, it was the 7th consecutive day of record closings. Not even the Democrats’ impeachment sham or the prospect of a doom and gloom Democrat debate could put this booming economy and market off the rails.

This is epic, folks – we haven’t seen anything like this since the previous truly great American president – Ronald Reagan – held office. Enjoy the WINNING while you have it. It’s been an all-too rare thing in U.S. history.

The walls of John Durham’s investigation continue closing in on the Coup Cabal. – The New York Times, carrying out its role as water toady for the Deep State, published a piece on Thursday based on leaks from the usual anonymous source, a source whose name is most likely John Brennan. That’s an easy guess since the piece details efforts by U.S. Attorney John Durham to acquire the phone, digital and written communications of…wait for it…John Brennan.

Oh. As reported by Daily Wire:

Durham has “requested Mr. Brennan’s emails, call logs and other documents from the C.I.A., according to a person briefed on his inquiry,” The New York Times reported. “He wants to learn what Mr. Brennan told other officials, including the former F.B.I. director James B. Comey, about his and the C.I.A.’s views of a notorious dossier of assertions about Russia and Trump associates.”

That’s from the second paragraph of the piece. In the very next paragraph, the Democrat activists at the Times add the standard language designed to protect seditious scumbags like Brennan by smearing Attorney General William Barr:

Mr. Durham’s pursuit of Mr. Brennan’s records is certain to add to accusations that Mr. Trump is using the Justice Department to go after his perceived enemies. The president has long attacked Mr. Brennan as part of his narrative about a so-called deep state cabal of Obama administration officials who tried to sabotage his campaign, and Mr. Trump has held out Mr. Durham’s investigation as a potential avenue for proving those claims.

Yes, it is “certain to add to accusations,” mainly because the New York Times will be the first to level those accusations. See how this works?

Two paragraphs later, the Times gives you this little gem:

The people familiar with Mr. Durham’s inquiry stressed that it was continuing and it was not clear what crimes, if any, he had uncovered. Representatives for Mr. Brennan and the Justice Department declined to comment.

Guess who the “people famliar with Mr. Durham’s inquiry” are? If you said John Brennan, the target, you win the prize. Mr. Brennan is intimately familiar with this aspect of the Durham investigation since he was already interviewed by Durham a few months ago, and has no doubt been receiving frequent communications from Durham’s staff ever since. This isn’t reporting the Times is doing – it’s stenography for the Deep State.

The very next paragraph just proves this point:

Defenders of Mr. Brennan have long maintained he did nothing wrong and properly sounded the alarm on Russian interference in the 2016 election, and he told MSNBC this fall that he would answer Mr. Durham’s questions if asked.

The “Defenders of Mr. Brennan” here are…Mr. Brennan. Bingo. Deep State/Media propaganda 101.

And if that paragraph didn’t make this little seditious game blatantly obvious enough, the very next paragraph delivers the money quote from…John Brennan:

“I feel good about what it is we did as an intelligence community, and I feel very confident and comfortable with what I did, so I have no qualms whatsoever about talking with investigators who are going to be looking at this in a fair and appropriate manner,” Mr. Brennan said.

Folks, they aren’t even trying to hide their Deep State toady activities anymore. It’s a wonder the Times hasn’t just given Brennan a contributor’s contract like the one he has with MSNBC and just assigned him to overtly write his own PR pieces on their front page, rather than maintain the tissue-thin pretense that some journalist hack is actually doing “reporting” for these propaganda pieces.

At least that would be an honest approach, but then again, it would be the only honest thing in the entire publication.

That is all.

Ratcliffe and Clapper Offer a Stark Contrast in Takes on the Barr/Durham Probe

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

If you don’t believe the Deep State Coup Cabal is getting very nervous right now, you’re not paying close enough attention. –  The plotters are very, very nervous indeed, and for good reason. Remember that even the Deep State mouth organ New York Times reported on Saturday that bad actors like John Brennan, James Comey and James Clapper were lawyering up in anticipation of the Horowitz report on FISA abuse and the ongoing investigation into the origins of Spygate by Attorney General William Barr and U.S. Attorney John Durham.

The contrast between a couple of TV interviews over the last 24 hours provides a stark example of the very palpable panic beginning to set in among the Coup Cabal plotters: One of GOP Texas Rep. John Ratcliffe, one of the main players in the 2017-18 House investigations into the Obama-era abuses, and the second of Obama DNI James Clapper, one of the major players in the never-ending coup. Below, you will find clips of both interviews, along with transcripts of each. The contrast of the comparative composure and messages of the two men is stark, and even a little startling. Watch and read:

Transcript:

Ratcliffe: I do. This is not a coincidence that it’s happening at the same time. Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report looks into potential FISA abuse. You’ll remember that Republicans put out a memo that said that Obama Administration officials in the DOJ and the FBI appeared to have abused the FISA Act in court to obtain surveillance on Carter Page.

Democrats put out a memo saying that’s a bunch of nonsense, that the DOJ and FBI did everything right and how dare Republicans malign good people like Peter Strzok and Bruce Ohr. So, we’re going to find out who was telling the truth.

I think these two things are related, that the work done by Michael Horowitz could result in criminal referrals even though the report hasn’t been released. The referrals could have already been made, but regardless, John Durham had to let Michael Horowitz finish this work.

And I think that when people read the IG’s pending report, it will be very clear why the Durham investigation has now moved to a criminal probe which will allow him to empanel a grand jury and bring in witnesses, and perhaps ultimately bring criminal charges.

Doocey: Could it also show coordination within the agencies and perhaps with the Obama White House?

Ratclife: All of those things are possible, as you know, based on text messages and testimony that is there. Look, there’s been one inconsistency after another in terms of sworn testimony and documents that have been produced.

Just as one example, Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson, the person behind the Steele Dossier, testified before congress that he’d never met Bruce Ohr until Thanksgiving, after the [2016] election. Bruce Ohr told me in sworn testimony that he and Mr. Simpson met in August, months before the election, to talk about the dossier. So, someone very clearly not telling the truth, and there’s a lot of low-hanging fruit there that John Durham and Michael Horowitz have been looking at.

Again, at the end of the day, I think that those of us who have said that this is not a bunch of nonsense are going to be vindicated in both of the reports that are forthcoming.

Doocey: The NYTimes says the criminal investigation raises alarms that the President is using the DOJ to go after his political enemies.

Ratcliffe: Well, the DOJ was used to go after enemies, but it was in the prior administration, and that’s what the focus of this is. All of these things, all of these questions began to occur before Donald Trump was ever elected President, when he was candidate Trump. And so the things that we’re looking at took place and can be verified to be before Donald Trump ever put his hand on the Bible and became our President.

The fact that we need to look at the origins of something like this, and someone like Bill Barr was troubled by the lack of a predicate to investigate Donald Trump as a candidate is really what has lit the fuse behind this. Many of us – Trey Gowdy, Devin Nunes, myself and others – have been saying that what has happened here is that the Obama Administration took a vital national security tool, the FISA Act, and they misused it to surveil for political reasons, and I think the IG’s report is going to say whether or not we were right when we raised those questions.

As you can see, Ratcliffe is completely composed. No visible or audible nervousness, no stuttering or stammering through carefully-prepared talking points, none of the body language of an obvious liar. This is a man who is very confident in the truth of his position on the matter.

Now, contrast that with Clapper, who appeared on CNN Thursday night with Deep State toady Anderson Cooper:

Here’s the transcript, word for word.:

Clapper: Well, I sh, uhh, ummm, you know, very cur-curious since presumably I, I guess, uh, I’m one of those u-u-under investigation. And I, I, I [preening host interrupts, obviously trying to throw the skunk a lifeline]

Cooper: And you just heard about this.

Clapper: Yes, I,I,I just, uh, uh, you know, read the clip on, uhhh, a-about 20 minutes ago.  Ummm, I found the ti, the timing interesting, uh, given the, uh, increasing heat, uh, around the impeachment inquiry. And so, uhhh, it, it, uh, the timing’s i-i-interesting, I’ll just let it go at that.

And the other thing I, I wonder about is whether we’re talking about the overall, i-i-investigation, the Russian, uh, the,uh, reporting on the Russian, uhhh, interference, o, or are we talking about the counterintelligence investigation that was launched in July [2016] by the, by the FBI, about potential, uhhh, engagement and collusion, whatever you want to call it between the Russians and, and the Trump Campaign.

That, my friends, is a very, very nervous man, a guy who is obviously struggling to recite carefully-scripted talking points from memory; a man who is so nervous he can barely put 3-4 words together; a man with all of the facial tics and body language of a not-very-convincing prevaricator. This from a guy, Clapper, who, as a highly-paid “contributor” to CNN, has made dozens if not hundreds of live appearances on that channel over the past three years, and is normally very composed and loquacious.

Nervous, indeed. Maybe even frightened.

What about the other major players in the Coup Cabal, you might ask? What about, say, John Brennan, who is normally all over Twitter shouting about everything that happens?

John Brennan hasn’t issued a single tweet since October 18, a full week ago. Odd.

Well, what about James Comey, our National Teenage Drama Queen who also has regularly used his Twitter account to respond to major developments in the whole never-ending coup saga?

James Comey has issued one tweet since October 17, and it was about a visit he made to an Alabama cemetery. Weird.

Of course, if these guys and the other Coup Cabal plotters have indeed lawyered up this week, then good lawyers would have told each and every one of them to just shut the hell up. They could have used such good legal advice long ago.

Better late than never.

That is all.

Boom: Barr and Durham Shift to Criminal Investigation

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

And just like that, stuff got real. –  That squeaky noise you heard early Thursday evening was the sound of sphincters tightening in unison all over the DC Swamp. That was when news leaked that Attorney General William Barr has authorized U.S. Attorney John Durham to shift gears.

What has to this point been an administrative inquiry into the origins of the Obama-era efforts by the coup cabal to spy on the Trump Campaign and Transition team will now become a full criminal inquiry. As the New York Times reluctantly reported, the move gives Durham and his team of prosecutors and investigators “the power to subpoena for witness testimony and documents, to convene a grand jury and to file criminal charges.”

It’s actually even better than that, enough to make the Deep State toadies at the Times and the rest of the fake news media want to cry.  Durham can in fact convene not just one grand jury, but as many grand juries as he wants and needs to convene. Better yet, because Durham is based in Connecticut, his grand juries can be convened there, outside of the 90% Democrat snake pit of Washington, DC.

Naturally, the Times, in its role as the chief propaganda organ for the Deep State, structured its story on the talking points of the Coup Cabal’s prevailing narrative. Here are the key outtakes:

The opening of a criminal investigation is likely to raise alarms that Mr. Trump is using the Justice Department to go after his perceived enemies. Mr. Trump fired James B. Comey, the F.B.I. director under whose watch agents opened the Russia inquiry, and has long assailed other top former law enforcement and intelligence officials as partisans who sought to block his election.

Mr. Trump has made clear that he sees the typically independent Justice Department as a tool to be wielded against his political enemies. That view factors into the impeachment investigation against him, as does his long obsession with the origins of the Russia inquiry.

This is all the standard nonsense. Trump has upset the DC Swamp way of doing things by being a Republican President who actually fights back when attacked. The Times and their fellow media toadies demand that Republican presidents remain silent and just take it when the DC Swamp and its propaganda machine rises to assault them.

Of course President Trump fired the utterly corrupt James Comey when he found out that Comey had spied on him and was still attempting to entrap him. Of course President Trump has lambasted Comey, Brennan and other former “top law enforcement officials,” since he knows that they were the leaders of Spygate and the neverending coup. Sure, George W. Bush and his Poppy never pushed back when the Swamp attacked – they were part of the Swamp themselves, as was Nixon.

The final 15 or so paragraphs of the slimy Times piece is a point-by-point recital of the coup plotters’ preferred narrative, no doubt dictated personally the lead plotters themselves. If it sounds like a story that was written by the Cabal’s defense lawyers, that’s because it most likely was.

You should read it just to become familiar with what you’re going to hear from Democrat talking heads and fake hosts all over cable television in the coming weeks. They will all recite passages from these paragraphs word-for-word, like the sock puppets they really are.

You can also expect the media/Democrat effort to smear Barr, which has already been underway for months, to now shift into high gear, and expand to also include Durham. The Deep State’s Alinsky-based model always requires the character assassination of anyone who rises as a threat, so that’s a given.

Interestingly, the news about this becoming a criminal investigation came right on the heels of DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz telling congress in a letter Thursday afternoon that he is finally, at long last, entering the final phases of getting his report on FISA abuse ready for public release. Horowitz had announced the completion of his report on September 13, and apparently has waited all the time since for the internal DOJ/FBI classification review to be completed.

As reported by the Washington Examiner, “Horowitz said the process is “ongoing” and “consistent with our usual practice when an OIG report involves classified information.” The inspector general said he expects the final report to “be released publicly with few redactions” and does not “anticipate a need to prepare and issue separate classified and public versions of the report.”

Horowitz also said that the report is “lengthy” and “concerns sensitive national security and law enforcement matters,” which could mean a lot of different things. And hey, after taking all this absurd amount of time to complete, the damn thing had better be “lengthy.”

It is also interesting to note that both of these announcements come right on cue, as the Deep State’s favorite fake news organizations have been mounting a furious drive to preach the Coup Cabal’s gospel on a daily basis, as we have detailed this week at the Campaign Update. Obviously, the Brennans and Comeys and Clappers and Strzoks of the world know what’s coming and are doing their best to set their narrative in place before the actual truth starts coming out and indictments start flying.

At least, we hope indictments will ultimately start flying. The wheels of justice do turn slowly when the process is meticulously followed, but man, this has been like waiting for a family of turtles to cross I-10 in Houston during rush hour traffic.

Who knows what it will all ultimately produce, but as of this morning, there’s some reason to hope that at least some of the Coup Cabal plotters will ultimately face justice for their betrayals of this country.

That is all.

Italian Prime Minister Confirms Spygate Meetings With William Barr and John Durham

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Katherine Herridge reported at mid-day on Wednesday that Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte testified under oath that he had approved meetings between Italian Intelligence agents and U.S. Attorney General William Barr and U.S. Attorney John Durham.

Here is a clip of Herridge’s report (transcript follows below):

For those of you who still like to read stuff, here is the transcript:

Host Harris Faulkner: U.S. Attorney John Durham’s investigation into the origins of the Russia probe has now expanded based on information uncovered in Rome. And we are getting new information about that visit by Attorney General William Barr. Katherine Herridge has the latest.

Katherine Herridge: Our correspondent Amy Kellogg, who is based in Italy has confirmed that in the last few the Italian prime minister has testified to parliament that he did permit the meeting with the attorney General with Italian Intelligence on the subject of the Russia investigation, and he described this move as “the correct decision, and that everything was arranged through proper diplomatic channels.”

The other piece of information we are getting from Italy is that these meetings occurred August 15 and September 27 in Rome.  And that dovetails with some new information we have had here at Fox News, which is that during one of these trips, William Barr and U.S. Attorney John Durham gathered new evidence and that it was on that basis that they expanded the investigation into the origins of the FBI’s 2016 “Russia Collusion” case.

My contacts are report that Durham is “very interested to question” the former Director of National Intelligence, that’s the nation’s top spy chief, James Clapper, as well as the former CIA Director, John Brennan, who recently dismissed the idea.

[Clip of a very nervous Brennan being interviewed on MSNBC on Oct. 3 here]

The reason this matters, Harris, is that it shows that the Durham investigation is truly global in nature, and it dovetails with our reporting that these trips to Rome have been very consequential for that investigation. This has now been confirmed by the Italian Prime Minister under oath with parliamentary testimony.

This report by Herridge, one of the few remaining real journalists still working in our otherwise fake national news media today, confirms previous rumors and reporting that Barr and Durham decided to expand their Spygate investigation based on information they’ve obtained from multiple overseas trips to Italy, Australia, London and Ukraine.

It also helps to explain why the leaders of the Coup Cabal, including Clapper and Brennan, have been nervously planting stories with eagerly-cooperating fake news outlets like the New York Times, CNN and Politico over the past several days.

The more nervous these treasonous skunks are, the better for America.

That is all.

Durham Will Interview Brennan – Explains This Week’s Deep State Media Push

Today’s Campaign Update, PART III
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Suddenly, it all becomes clear. – News broke on Tuesday that, consistent with earlier rumors, U.S. Attorney John Durham has formally requested an interview with Obama-era CIA Director John Brennan, and plans to also interview Obama-era Director of National Intelligence James Clapper:

This news explains why the Usual Suspects in the fake news media have been putting on a full court fake news press in their support of their Deep State heroes. As reported previously here, Saturday was the New York Times’ day to do the toadying, Sunday was NBC’s day, and Tuesday was Politico’s day in the shilling well.

Brennan himself had obviously gotten wind of Durham’s intentions early this month, as he nervously speculated on October 3 to MSCIA’s fake host Nicolle Wallace that he might well have to testify to Durham and his investigators:

Check out that body language. That is one very nervous liar right there.

Brennan has already been revealed to have lied multiple times when he testified along with Comey and Clapper before he House Intelligence Committee back in 2017, but perjury should be the least of the issues Durham will want to explore with the former chief spy.

The Saturday deep state narrative promotion piece by the NYTimes noted that, while Durham has already interviewed “dozens” of current and former Obama officials during the course of his investigation, he had yet to question the principles who we know organized and executed the effort to fix the 2016 election and then to remove a sitting President via a coup d’etat.

Today’s news proves that he’s getting around now to questioning the targets.

Cool.

That is all.

Sunday was NBC’s Day to Shill for the Deep State Coup Cabal

Today’s Campaign Update, PART II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

The fake news outlets are taking turns parroting the Coup Cabal’s talking points. – Saturday was the New York Times day, and Sunday, it was NBC’s turn at the fake news bar as the Coup Cabal continues to try to build an exculpatory narrative in advance of the release of the Horowitz report. We’ve seen this repeatedly over the past few years, as America’s fake news media continues to toady for its Democrat masters.

NBC News started its shilling right at the top, with a hilariously-slanted headline: “AG Barr expands mysterious review into origin of Russia investigation.”  Oooooohhhh, it’s all “mysterious” and stuff. The sub-head is even better: “If U.S. Attorney John Durham is conducting a criminal investigation, it’s not clear what allegations of wrongdoing are being examined.”

Oh, hey, guess who no doubt fed NBC that headline and sub-head: Could it be Obama CIA Director John Brennan? It seems likely, given this passage hidden way down in the bowels of the piece:

If Durham is conducting a criminal investigation, it’s not clear what allegations of wrongdoing are being examined. The Justice Department has not detailed any, and a spokeswoman declined to comment for this story.

“I don’t know what the legal basis for this is,” Brennan said, calling the probe “bizarre.”

So, Saturday’s theme parroted by the New York Times was that, hey, the Coup Cabal didn’t do anything wrong in the sham Clinton email “investigation,” and Sunday’s theme is “the Barr/Durham investigation is all mysterious and bizarre and stuff, or something.”

The NBC piece is an obvious, blatant effort to paint the Barr/Durham investigation to be somehow illegitimate, which explains the use of Brennan-fed code words like “bizarre,” “mysterious,” and “unusual” throughout. Of course, there is nothing mysterious or unusual about the investigation at all, and Barr spent a ton of time in May explaining in great detail why he was pursuing the investigation and what he and Durham would be looking at.

NBC even details much of that in its own piece:

Michael Horowitz, the Justice Department inspector general, has conducted an investigation into the FBI’s actions in launching the Russia probe.

But Barr has said he believes an IG inquiry is not sufficient to answer the questions he has about how the investigation began. In doing so, he made comments suggesting Durham had authority only a criminal investigation could provide.

In a May 31 interview with CBS News, Barr said Horowitz “doesn’t have the power to compel testimony, he doesn’t have the power really to investigate beyond the current cast of characters at the Department of Justice. His ability to get information from former officials or from other agencies outside the department is very limited.”

Barr also said in the interview that the purpose of the Durham review is to make sure there was not inappropriate surveillance of the Trump campaign.

“I had a lot of questions about what was going on,” he said. “Some of the facts that I’ve learned don’t hang together with the official explanations of what happened.”

Ok, so, what is “mysterious,” “bizarre,” or “unusual” about any of that? Barr is concerned about the origins of myriad FBI/CIA/DOJ-sanctioned efforts to spy on the Trump Campaign/Trump Transition/Trump Administration were improperly originated and conducted, and that no one has made any real effort to get to the bottom of why that all happened and who authorized the spying in the first place. So, he has detailed Durham to lead a probe to get to the bottom of it all.

IG Horowitz has no power to subpoena witnesses outside of the DOJ/FBI employee base, and no power to convene grand juries to seek indictments should crimes be uncovered. Durham, as a U.S. Attorney, does possess those powers.

This is not complicated, except for fake journalists who are set on pretending to be intentionally obtuse in efforts to deceive the American public. And that’s how we end up with these fake media outlets taking turns goose-stepping to marching music being played by the Coup Cabal.

Can’t wait to see what Monday’s theme becomes, and which fake news media outlet gets to parrot it for Brennan/Clapper/Comey and company. My money’s on ABC or The Washington Post.

Stay tuned.

That is all.

Horowitz Report Delayed Again? What a Shock. Not.

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

In case you missed it, the report from DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s FISA abuse investigation is being delayed. Yet again. For the, what, 100th time?

News of the latest delay came from Maria Bartiromo, host on Fox News’s “Mornings With Maria,” who had previously reported on her program last week that the report would be released this Friday:

“Classifications being made.” Well, we all know what that means in the lingo of the apparently hopelessly-corrupt Department of Justice these days, right? Whenever we do see this report, it will be filled with entire passages completely black out, and those will in all likelihood be the most crucial passages that would implicate the actual bad actors in the 2016-17 election fixing/coup effort.

So, every time you get to thinking that maybe, just maybe, Attorney General William Barr and U.S. Attorney John Durham might actually be making some progress and doing something real in their own investigation into the origins of the election fixing/coup d’etat plot, you get a countervailing event that shows you nothing much has changed at the Department of [No] Justice. Let’s all remember that this past May, President Donald Trump gave Mr. Barr full discretion on the determination of what information related to these unending efforts to change the results of the 2016 elections should and should not be classified. Thus, if we are now having another two-week delay in the issuance of the Horowitz Report, it is completely at Barr’s discretion.

Speaking on Sean Hannity’s show Monday night, former Utah Congressman Jason Chaffetz said that the interminable delays are the result of “intra-agency debate, and really a food fight” over classification issues, further saying that he’s being told that up to 10-20% of the full report – which Bartiromo claims is massive – will end up being blacked out. Chaffetz reminded Hannity that just 7 WORDS had been black out in Horowitz’s previous report.

Oh. So, nothing at DOJ has really changed since 2016, right?

But it gets even worse, according to Chaffetz. Fast forward to 3:35 of the clip below and listen to what he says about worthless FBI Apparatchik Christopher Wray:

For those of you who still like to read stuff, here’s a partial transcript of the key 15 seconds:

Hannity: Who is asking for the redactions? Is that Director Wray?

Chaffetz: I have not seen any evidence that Director Wray has been cooperative, but I think you’re also talking about other agencies, perhaps the CIA, the NSA, there are others. I think Mr. Clapper, Mr. Brennan are fighting behind the scenes as best they can, in front of the camera they’re fighting as best they can.

This is disgusting. It’s an ongoing national disgrace. And it’s apparently never going to end.

Another very interesting piece of that clip comes just a few seconds into the video, when Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz acknowledges that he was kicked out of a House Intelligence Committee witness deposition by Chairman Adam Schiff yesterday. Kicked out.

Imagine – just try to imagine – the uproar we would be seeing in our fake news media this morning had Republican Chairman Devin Nunes kicked Schiff out of a formal committee meeting during 2017-18. You would think the world was coming to an end.

This is real, true Nazi stuff, folks. The majority party is now so all-consumed with power that is denying the minority party members any and all rights to participate in this fake impeachment process.

And it’s all being enabled by your fake news media. Why?  Because they’re complicit, too. Never forget that part.

Have a great day, if you can.

That is all.

Winter is Coming, and More Fake Whistleblowers are Coming With it

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Buckle up, because the Deep State is just getting started here. – It’s important to remember here that this second coup d’etat being currently run by the Intelligence Community (IC) and the Democrat/Media propaganda complex is being rolled out under the same playbook used for the whole “Russia Collusion” fantasy coup d’etat effort.

That Russia Collusion-based coup was characterized by the coordinated rollout of new false accusations pretty much every week. The false accusations would then be trumpeted by the fake news media and amplified by the publication of fake story after fake story based solely on murky “anonymous sources” who may or may not have even existed.

Given that reality, no one should think that the first “whistleblower” is the only fake whistleblower we sill see come forward. The IC is still just crawling with Obama/Brennan/Clapper/Comey loyalists who will be only too happy to publicly immolate themselves with false accusations in this latest attempt to reverse the results of the 2016 presidential election.

John Brennan himself signaled the additional fakery to come on Saturday with this tweet:

Given that Brennan is most likely helping to pull the strings behind the scenes in this latest coup attempt, we should expect the scenario he advocates to start playing itself out this week.

A second signal of the impending fireworks came from the little turncoat Anthony Scaramucci, who has been coordinating with the Democrat/Media complex over the past six weeks, when he issued this tweet on Sunday:

If the Mooch says there are more fake whistleblowers, then you can be sure there are more fake whistleblowers, since Moochie is obviously part of the coup.

Again, as I wrote late last week, the whole strategy here is to keep ramping up the intensity with more and more wild allegations until the thus-far unshakable Trump base of support begins to shake and crumble. The coup can only succeed if and when that happens.

Winter is coming, folks. Man the gates.

That is all.

Postscript: I kid you not, as I was writing this piece up, President Trump issued this tweet:

The man knows what I’m going to write before I publish it. Spooky.

Trey Gowdy Warns Us Not To Expect Any BOOM From The Horowitz FISA Report

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

In case you missed it, plodding, thus-far-inept DOJ IG Michael Horowitz sent a letter to congress yesterday notifying key committee chairs that he has finally, at long last, completed the initial draft if his eons-awaited report on FISA abuse. The report now goes to Attorney General William Barr and swamp rat FBI Director Christopher Wray to begin the internal review process. That process will likely consume another month or so, maybe even longer, before the public will finally, at long last, be able to see the fruits of Horowitz’s glacially-paced labors.

This, of course will set the stage for all manner of leaking and self-puffery by the subjects of the IG’s report, including John Brennan, James Comey, James Clapper, Peter Strzok and Andrew McCabe, to name just a few of the Usual Suspects who the public record already available clearly demonstrates defrauded the FISA court repeatedly during 2016-17.

It also sets the stage for wild anticipation and irrational optimism among Trump supporters who have been paying attention to all of this that Horowitz is somehow about to deliver the goods on all the participants in the Obama DOJ/FBI Cabal, the foundation that will result in all of them being tried for treason and shipped off to prison for the rest of their lives.

Like clockwork, former prosecutor and ex-congressman Trey Gowdy appeared on Sean Hannity’s show last night to caution everyone to cool your heels and tamp down your expectations. Below is a video clip of that appearance, with a partial transcript to follow:

Here’s a partial transcript for those of you who still like to read stuff:

Gowdy: “It’s hard to convince 12 people of anything – I used to have to do that for a living. It’s tough. You’ve gotta dot every I and cross every T.

“Candidly, it is more difficult if it is a high-profile defendant. So, if they go forward with McCabe, it’s going to be a tough trial. You don’t want the U.S. government going to trial and losing on a regular basis. They lost the Greg Craig case, and that’s not good. If you’re going to go to trial, you need to win.”

Hannity shifts the subject to the IG Report producing indictments:

Gowdy: “You have to find a criminal statute if your objective is indictment. That is why I’m very clear every time I appear on your show that we cannot live in a society where an indictment is the only thing that carries any stigma [valid point there –  more on that at the bottom of this piece].

“Most of the names in this FISA abuse process have already been fired or publicly called to task. Jim Comey, twice now, the IG said ‘you did not meet our expectations. You failed to follow policy. You violated your employment agreement.’ All of that has to be significant.

“I used to try to make representations in court, and I tried real hard to be honest and fair about it. But let’s assume that I didn’t tell the court something. The remedy for me is not indictment. The remedy is I may lose my law license, I may be held in contempt.”

[Hannity interrupts, which is what he is good at, but makes a good point about the use of the unverified Dossier as the basis for the FISA warrants being a conscious fraud on the court, which it was. Repeatedly.]

Gowdy: “Well, if you were a lawyer, you’d lose your law license, and the court could hold you in contempt. You would be held in contempt of court, absolutely and you can go to jail for that. But I don’t know that lawyers who make factual misrepresentations in front of judges get indicted. You’re gonna get punished, you’re gonna be held in contempt, you may get sent to prison.

“I’m not minimizing anything they’ve done. I’m saying we’ve gotta attach the right punishment to the right offense.”

[Hannity visibly angry now: “But by signing that, they’re denying an American citizen their constitutional rights. They’re literally using that lie to spy on a presidential candidate, and then transition.”]

Gowdy: “Aha! We’ve identified a statute! Using the color of a government official – it could be a 1983 action. And that’s all I’m saying – we have gotta match up the conduct with an official code violation. What you just laid out is a 1983 violation.  Now, we’re getting somewhere!” [Note: U.S. Code Sec. 1983 allows prosecutors to pursue a civil action against anyone acting “under color of law” to deprive an American citizen of their civil rights. It is not a criminal statute.]

[Hannity: “I’ll send you Greg Jarrett’s list, he’s identified a whole bunch of violations.”]

Gowdy: “Don’t sent it to me, send it to Bill Barr.”

[Hannity dissembles about not knowing Barr. Interview ends.]

So, if you’ve been reading all those Twitter-based tick-tock conspiracy mongers and and watching Hannity air the same program every night for the last 18 months, leading you to believe the IG’s report was going to lower the BOOM on all the participants in the Obama Cabal, well, sorry. Trey Gowdy, a former prosecutor who never lost a case is here to tell you to dampen those expectations and go watch some football this weekend instead.

Finally, let’s review this passage of Gowdy’s comments:

“That is why I’m very clear every time I appear on your show that we cannot live in a society where an indictment is the only thing that carries any stigma [valid point there –  more on that at the bottom of this piece].

“Most of the names in this FISA abuse process have already been fired or publicly called to task. Jim Comey, twice now, the IG said ‘you did not meet our expectations. You failed to follow policy. You violated your employment agreement.’ All of that has to be significant.”

Of course, Gowdy’s absolutely right there. Public stigma used to be a vital aspect of punishing bad actors like the Cabal participants whenever the government couldn’t succeed in actually prosecuting them under criminal statutes.

The problem, though, is that that stigma no longer exists for anyone who is opposed to President Donald Trump. That stigma can only exist if our society has a real, working news media establishment that is willing to lay out the truth of their acts to the public and shame them for it. Our fake new media no longer serves that function related to anyone opposed to Trump. In fact, those bad actors are not only NOT shamed by the media, many of them are handsomely rewarded by the media with big “contributor” contracts. Witness Andrew McCabe, John Brennan, James Clapper as prime examples.

Peter Strzok and Comey were fired, but then were rewarded by the media with big book deals. Strzok and McCabe were both able to collect hundreds of thousands of dollars from demented leftists when they set-up online funds for their legal defense. On and on the depravity on the political left and in our fake news media goes.

So, while what Gowdy says there used to be correct in a U.S. society of decades ago, it is utterly irrelevant in today’s world. Absent indictments – or, as Gowdy repeatedly implies in this interview, being held in contempt by the FISA court and spending jail time for that – all of these co-conspirators will just keep laughing all the way to the bank with money largely provided them by our fake news media.

Sad, but true.

That is all.

Et tu, William Barr?

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Wait. Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth were married? – Tongue-wagging pop star Miley Cyrus and movie heartthrob Liam Hemsworth announced they were splitting over the weekend and the big news in all of that for me was that they were actually married in the first place. But here’s the good news, folks – the couple both say they will still remain dedicated parents to their childr…er, pets:

“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time,” a rep for Cyrus told PEOPLE on Saturday. “Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy.”

Good god who cares.

You can judge the quality of a Trump nominee by who his friends aren’t. – Last Thursday, President Trump named his new acting director of ODNI, Counterterrorism Center Director Joseph Maguire. Maguire will assume his new job on August 15, the day that current ODNI Director Dan Coats leaves arm-in-arm with his allegedly-leaky deputy Sue Gordon.

Whenever this President has named a replacement for one of the high-ranking intelligence posts in the past, it has been very easy to tell whether he’s made a good choice or not by looking to see who weighs in to publicly endorse him. If all the Usual Suspects from the Obama years take to Twitter or CNN or MSNBC to give the person a hearty endorsement, you can be sure that person will change nothing for the better.

For example, Christopher Wray’s nomination to lead the FBI was greeted with gleeful endorsements from the likes of John Brennan, James Clapper, Sally Yates and all the other swamp creatures. Just-fired James Comey even had nice things to say about Wray, if memory serves. All of which helps to explain why, more than two years later, the FBI remains a raging dumpster fire of incompetence and duplicity and a roadblock to the declassification of documents related to the Spygate scandal.

On the contrary, when President Trump first named John Ratcliffe to become Coats’s permanent replacement in the ODNI job, the Swamp creatures wasted no time in blasting him, a clear indication that Ratcliffe would have represented a clear and present danger to the destructive status quo that exists within the nation’s firmly-embedded intelligence community.

What is interesting about Maguire is not who has spoken out about him, but who hasn’t. Four days after his naming, and we have yet to hear a peep out of any of the Usual Suspects. Not a word from John Brennan; not a peep out of Comey; not a mumble out of Clapper or Rosenstein or McCabe. Radio silence from the creatures of the swamp.

That lack of endorsement or attack means one of two things: It could mean that the Usual Suspects finally figured out that their messages of public approval of a fellow skunk are really counterproductive. Or it could mean that they aren’t sure whether Maguire represents a friend or a foe. If it’s the former, we’ll find out the hard way soon enough, because ODNI will continue to serve as the same final roadblock to declassification that it has ably and consistently performed under Coats. If it’s the latter, then it’s likely the Usual Suspects are just biding their time to see which way Maguire will jump once he assumes his new job.

Two and a half years into the Trump presidency and we are left with the feeling that uncertainty would at least be progress. Baby steps.

And speaking of declassification… – 83 days have now passed since the President ordered Attorney General William Barr to assume full discretion over the process of declassifying all the documents that his employees at the DOJ and FBI have spent the last three years desperately hiding from the American people.

So what do we have after 83 days? Bupkis. The Bruce Ohr 302s released last week were the result of a court order in a case brought by Judicial Watch – Barr had nothing to do with them.

From Barr and his Department of “Justice”, we have bupkis. Zero. Zilch. Nada.

Over the weekend, the Federal Bureau of Prisons, which also happens to reside under the not-so-watchful eye of the Barr DOJ, did its best imitation of Jack Bauer’s fictional “CTU” from the old TV series “24”, losing its highest-profile prisoner to an alleged “suicide”.

If you ever watched that show, you knew it was a foregone conclusion that any time Keifer Sutherland’s Jack Bauer character arrested a terrorist and brought him into custody at CTU, said terrorist would very quickly either be kidnapped or murdered right under the noses of what was supposed to be the nation’s most elite secret law enforcement unit. I used to guffaw about that every time it happened, but as time as gone on and we have seen the actual Keystone Cops nature of our real law enforcement and intelligence apparatus, I’ve come to realize that CTU was actually very true-to-life.

Mr. Barr has certainly talked a good game since assuming office early this year. But after six full months on the job, talk and lofty promises are all we have to show from his time at DOJ. We still have zero indictments of real wrong-doers, zero perp walks, and even worse, we now have the spectacle of the likes of Andrew McCabe and Peter Strzok having such contempt for the DOJ that they are actually suing to get their old jobs back.

As of right now, Barr’s actual performance record is no better than what we got out of Jeff Sessions, and that ain’t good.

That is all.

The D. C. Swamp Strikes Back! Ratcliffe Out…Hoekstra In?

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this #Winning yet? – Another month, another sterling jobs report. The private sector beat “expert” expectations yet again by adding 164,000 new jobs during the month of July, finishing the month with an all-time record 157,288,000 Americans gainfully employed. Even more encouraging is the fact that almost 400,000 Americans moved from the part-time jobs that characterized the Obama economy to the good-paying full-time jobs that are the centerpiece of the Trump economy. This truly never, ever gets old.

She’s gonna need some new script-writers. – The Chief of Staff and Communications Director for Anti-Semite Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez both resigned late on Friday under ongoing pressure from San Fran Nan and her house leadership goons.

The two Alinskyite lunatics, whose names I’m not going to specify on this site (AOC’s is enough work to expend on these garbage people for one morning) had come under fire last month after the Chief of Staff had accused Pelosi of “singling out women of color” and a referred to non-Marxist Democrats as segregationists.

Both men came to AOC from the despicable “Justice Democrats”, the group that supplies the fake congresswoman with her daily scripts. Their vacant positions will no doubt be filled with more staffers who have been trained by that anti-American Alinskyite group. As we have repeatedly seen, AOC is utterly helpless and sounds like a slow-learning 4th-grader whenever she attempts to speak without reciting from those daily scripts, so an injection of new blood from that group is essential for her continuing charade.

The Swamp Strikes Back! – D.C. Swamp rats from both political parties have won the first parry in the battle to replace the fired Dan Coats as the new Director of the Office of National Intelligence. Texas Congressman John Ratcliffe withdrew his name from consideration for the post yesterday amid a growing slime campaign in the national fake news media and ongoing behind-the-scenes opposition from GOP swamp rats like North Carolina Senator Richard Burr.

The Swamp Rats are now pushing hard to convince President Trump to nominate Coats’s Swampy Deputy, Sue Gordon, to become the new acting director when Coats leaves the post on August 15. Gordon has received endorsement tweets from an array of Deep State Usual Suspects in recent days, including Adam Schiff, John Brennan, James Comey and Rod Rosenstein, so you know she is someone who would do everything she can to block efforts to get at the cabal who attempted to fix the 2016 election and then tried to execute a coup d’etat throughout 2017 and 2018.

The fake news media is of course mounting a focused campaign to pressure the President to appoint Gordon to the post on a permanent basis. If he does that, then you can forget about any meaningful declassification of key documents taking place, as Gordon would be able to use her post as a roadblock.

The problem the President has is that the Swamp has now laid down its marker related to this crucial position as a hill on which it is willing to die, and there are half a dozen or more fake Republicans like Burr who are willing to help lead that battle. So, in order to get anyone confirmed in the Senate, where the Republicans hold a 53-47 majority, he is going to have to nominate someone with credentials that include experience in or around the nation’s seamy intelligence community.

The good news there is that the Wall Street Journal reported late Friday evening that Mr. Trump is considering former Michigan Congressman and current U.S. Ambassador to The Netherlands Pete Hoekstra as his next nominee for the post. How would Hoekstra fit the Swamp’s criteria? Well, as an early Trump supporter during the 2016 campaign, he wouldn’t.

But here’s the thing: Hoekstra is a former Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, a post he held from 2004 through 2007. That little item on his resume would rob the Deep State hacks of the argument – which they used against Ratcliffe this week – that he lacks an understanding of the nation’s intelligence operations.

Hoekstra not only understands those operations, as former Chairman of that committee, he knows where all the bodies are buried. Nominating Hoekstra might be another Trump masterstroke.

As President Trump likes to say, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

That is all.

Barr/Durham Inquiry is Making the CIA Nervous? COOL!

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

If William Barr achieves nothing else in his go-round at DOJ, he has already shown just how important it is for our country to have a real, actual, fully-functioning Attorney General.  That reality was emphasized yet again in the bombshell new report from the New York Times – based solely on anonymous “sources”, of course, because it is the NYTimes, after all – that claims that John Durham’s investigation into the origins of the whole “Spygate” scandal will include interviews with “at least one senior counterintelligence official and a senior C.I.A. analyst.”

Cool! You can feel the sweat breaking out on John Brennan’s forehead even as you read this report. Brennan, after all, was the CIA Director when all the shenanigans were taking place, and we already know as a matter of public record that he was knee-deep in all of it. The Times, of course, does its best to try to create sympathy for CIA personnel by carefully justifying their “work” as attempts to understand “Russian intereference” in the 2016 election, but we all know that’s a myth because Barack Hussein Obama his own self told us so on several occasions. And if reading this following paragraph from the story doesn’t enrage you as an American citizen, then you need to read up on your civics lessons:

“While the Justice Department review is not a criminal inquiry, it has provoked anxiety in the ranks of the C.I.A., according to former officials. Senior agency officials have questioned why the C.I.A.’s analytical work should be subjected to a federal prosecutor’s scrutiny. Attorney General William P. Barr, who is overseeing the review, assigned the United States attorney in Connecticut, John H. Durham, to conduct it.”

Think about what that paragraph actually says in plain English: That “Senior agency officials” the Times claims to have spoken with literally believe they and their “analytical work”, i.e., the assignment of a parade of CIA operatives like Stefan Halper, Joseph Mifsud and others to try to entrap Trump campaign officials in violations of the law, is somehow exempt from scrutiny. In other words, these deep state snakes and skunks really and truly do believe they are simply above the law.

After all, if a federal prosecutor working directly under the supervision of the nation’s highest law enforcement official has no right to investigate their actions, then who in the hell does? Who do these people think they are?

And guess what? The next paragraph should enrage you even more than you already are:

“The Justice Department has not submitted formal written requests to talk to the C.I.A. officers, but law enforcement officials have told intelligence officials that Mr. Durham will seek the interviews, two of the people said. Communications officers for both the C.I.A. and the Justice Department declined to comment.”

Understand what’s happening here yet? Yep, this article is an effort by the news-fakers at the New York Times to help their deep state sources in and around the CIA to try to intimidate Barr and Durham from moving forward by publicly exposing their plans. This is sleazy, despicable and just one more proof point showing why fake news outlets like the Times are in fact the enemies of the American people.

But wait, there’s more, as the late, great Billy Mays used to say. Watch as the current CIA Director, appointed by President Trump, sends a not-so-coded message to her stressed employees and Brennan:

“The C.I.A. director, Gina Haspel, has told senior officials that her agency will cooperate — but will still work to protect critical pieces of intelligence whose disclosure could jeopardize sources, reveal collection methods or disclose information provided by allies, according to current and former American officials.

“Ms. Haspel will not block the interviews and has told the agency that talking with Mr. Durham need not jeopardize secrets and is consistent with cooperating with Mr. Barr’s inquiry.”

Ah, yes, the old “sources and methods” dodge – Haspel here is promising to use it liberally to protect “her people.” Let’s remember that Haspel just happened to be the London station chief for the CIA while Brennan was the agency’s director, and that much of the entrapment efforts during 2016 took place in….wait for it…London!

Oh.

You have to get all the way down to the 10th paragraph of the story – which the Times knows is well past where 90% of its short-attention-span readers will ever bother to tread – to find out what Barr and Durham are really trying to get at in this piece of their investigation:

“Mr. Barr wants to know more about the C.I.A. sources who helped inform its understanding of the details of the Russian interference campaign, an official has said. He also wants to better understand the intelligence that flowed from the C.I.A. to the F.B.I. in the summer of 2016.

“During the final weeks of the Obama administration, the intelligence community released a declassified assessment that concluded that Mr. Putin ordered an influence campaign that “aspired to help” Mr. Trump’s electoral chances by damaging Mrs. Clinton’s. The C.I.A. and the F.B.I. reported they had high confidence in the conclusion. The National Security Agency, which conducts electronic surveillance, had a moderate degree of confidence.”

The “declassified assessment” the Times refers to is the Intelligence Community Assessment that our National Teenage Drama Queen James Comey and others presented to President Trump during the transition following the 2016 election. We now know – Comey has testified to this under oath – that the Drama Queen’s “mission” that day was to inform the incoming President about the existence of the Steele Dossier. Comey and then-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper had been trying to get the fake news hacks at CNN to run with the Dossier, but, in a rare display of a modicum of journalistic ethics, had been told by CNN that they would not report on the Dossier unless they knew that Trump had been briefed on it.

All of which is why, as he left that meeting in Trump Tower, Comey then phoned Clapper and delivered the simple message, “Mission Accomplished.” CNN ran with the story that night, and a few months later gave Clapper a big contract as a “contributor.”

So, when you see the Times trying to intimidate Barr and Durham away from looking into the CIA’s role in all of that, you know that the investigation is on the right track.

When CIA officials who worked for John Brennan are so nervous they go looking for cover from their media toadies, that’s good news for all real Americans.

Boom.

That is all.

[Addendum] You don’t have believe me about all of this being part of the public record. A friend reminded me just now of this terrific expose’ by Paul Sperry published at RealClearPolitics in May of last year. Read it to understand why John Brennan has so much cause to be sweating today.

Trump Delivers Another Master’s Course in the art of Persuasion

Today’s Campaign Update, Evening Edition
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

These people will never learn. – In the last 48 hours, the President of the United States has accomplished the following:

  • Got our fake news media to endlessly communicate the message that the guy leading the polls to be the Democrat nominee in 2020 just might be a “low IQ individual”; and
  • Convinced Deep State skunk and current National Teenage Drama Queen James Comey to discuss the possibility that he might have committed outright treason in an op/ed published in the Washington Post.

That is some world-class political persuasion right there, folks, and the hilarious thing about it is that the President’s opponents basically did all the damage to themselves as they scrambled to respond to a handful of Presidential tweets. The outright cluelessness of these people about how Trump operates as we sit here, four full years after he first started doing this kind of thing to them right after he announced his candidacy back in 2015, is truly stunning to observe.

Think about it: Every fake news outlet in America and every fake journalist who habits social media has been talking about whether or not Joe Biden is a “low IQ individual” since Saturday, and the discussion shows no signs of stopping. Matter of fact, the President issued this tweet less than an hour before I began writing this piece just to make sure it keeps going:

That tweet came after the Biden campaign, after having remained intelligently silent, also fell into the trap by issuing a statement denying its candidate is an idiot – why did they feel the need to do that? Think about it – and lambasting the POTUS for insulting a former vice president on foreign soil, a sentiment so hilariously ludicrous that it only goes to prove how dumb Joe Biden and his staff truly are.

Thus, the discussion about whether or not Joe Biden has the IQ of the average parrot will continue uninterrupted for at least another 24 hours. Which, by the way, IS EXACTLY WHAT THE PRESIDENT WANTS TO HAPPEN.

I mean, how hard is this to figure out?

And then there was our National Drama Queen, denying he and his fellow deep state cabal members at the Obama-era FBI committed treason.  Holy crap.

Here’s a trick for you:  Go to Google and put the word “treason” into the search box.  Guess what comes up first? You got it – an op/ed by James Comey!

Do I really need to say anything more about this one, other than that it will compete with the story about whether or not Joe Biden is smarter than a dung beetle to be the lead story on every TV/Radio/social media news page for the next 24-48 hours?

Again, exactly what Trump wants.

Next thing you know, we’ll see John Brennan going on MSNBC to urge CIA Director Gina Haspel and DNI Dan Coats to commit outright sedition by refusing to comply with Attorney General William Barr’s efforts to declassify crucial documents related to Spygate.

What’s that? Brennan already did that last Friday?

Now do you understand?

That is all.

The Week in Review: Panic in the Deep State as Barr Steams Ahead

The Campaign Update Week in Review
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

No more Twitter Week in Review, I’m afraid. For whatever reason, WordPress doesn’t seem to be able to handle that many photos in a single post anymore. Weird. So until I figure that bit of technical nonsense out, we’ll have to review the week the old-fashioned way, with mostly words. Man, it’s like we’re back in the 20th century here.

So, here is your Week in Review, retro-style:

The week began with fake Republican Justin Amash from Michigan, joining his fellow Michigander Rashida Tlaib in calling for President Trump’s impeachment. Like Tlaib, Amash has no clue what the exact grounds for impeachment would be, but he did know his business interests in China were suffering from the President’s trade policies, and by golly, that was enough for him. In response to Amash’s craven act, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy encouraged Amash to just go ahead and switch parties. Good advice.

While 25 despicable candidates for the Democrat nomination were out around the country giving students false hopes that their massive college loans would be forgiven if only they voted for them – that isn’t gonna happen unless we want to crash the national banking system – Austin billionaire investor Robert F. Smith took matters into his own hands. In the midst of his commencement address at Morehouse College, Smith informed the graduating class that he would personally be paying off their loans, an incredibly generous gesture that will cost him an estimated $57 million.

I would say hey, maybe Smith should run for the Democrat nomination, but 1) I don’t know the man’s politics, and 2) no one that intelligent could possibly attract the votes of the deranged Democrat voter base.

By Monday, it had become apparent that Irish Bob O’Rourke’s “re-boot” of his moribund campaign had already run aground, and polls issued throughout the week showed his numbers had dropped from a fairly consistent 5-6% support a few weeks ago down to a consistent 2-3% now. Apparently, even his wife and dog are now planning to vote for Mayor Pete instead.  Oof.

Hey, remember Eric Swalwell, and how he was also running for the Democrat nomination? Given that he consistently hits 0% in the polls, not many people do. But he is running, though no one is really sure why. On Monday the Washington Free Beacon did the Washington Post’s job, reporting that the 38 year-old California nitwit has failed to pay down his own student loans, which total up to as much as $100,000. Hey, maybe that’s why he’s running – so he can forgive himself. It makes more sense than anything else.

Speaking of Democrats mysteriously in the race, ex-Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper told an interviewer this week that “Withdrawing the U.S. from global engagement makes us less safe.” The only trouble is, no one is doing that. So he wins this week’s non sequitur award.

It was the week that the deep state rats really started scurrying for cover, with Usual Suspects like James Comey, John Brennan, James Clapper and Loretta Lynch very publicly arguing with and pointing fingers at each other in a desperate attempt to avoid becoming the subjects of grand jury subpoenas and indictments. Cartoonist A.F. Branco captured it all perfectly here:

When President Trump re-tweeted that hilariously perfect cartoon, both Brennan and Comey got a very public case of the vapors, which they of course took to their Twitter feeds. Doesn’t everybody?

By Tuesday, the cacophony coming from House Democrats demanding impeachment had reached high enough decibel levels that even doddering old Nancy Pelosi could hear it, so she called a special ‘impeachment meeting’ with all of them on Wednesday morning. Emerging from that meeting, she accused President Trump of executing a “cover-up”, and then immediately traveled to the White House for a long-scheduled meeting with the President and Chuck Schumer on infrastructure. Trump then abruptly cancelled that meeting due to Pelosi’s having just accused him of felonious behavior, starting a public pissing contest between the two that lasted the rest of the week.

Our fake news media blamed Trump for everything, because of course they did.

Another week passed without Robert Mueller or anyone else appearing to testify before Jaba The Nadler’s House Kangaroo Court Committee, formerly known as the Judiciary Committee. Upon learning of Mueller’s latest refusal to show, CNN reporter Manu Raj took to Twitter – because of course he did – to inform his half-dozen loyal readers that “Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team has expressed reticence to him testifying publicly in front of the House Judiciary Committee, according to sources familiar with the matter. His team has expressed that he does not want to appear political.”

Everyone in Washington and out here in Flyover Country was left to wonder exactly who Robert Mueller’s “team” consists of, given that Mueller is now nothing more than an employee at the Department of Justice. Everyone was also left to wonder when exactly it was that Mueller – who conducted a 20-month Witch Hunt and then, failing to find a crime of any kind, issued a 424 page report specifically designed to damage a sitting POTUS politically – suddenly became concerned about appearing to be political. No answers were forthcoming, although whenever they do come, we can be sure they will be posted on Twitter.

Rock singer David Lee Roth is getting his own Las Vegas residency, because the nation simply cannot get enough of a 70 year-old guy singing “Hot for Teacher.”

Researchers at the University of Iceland violated the ClimateScam narrative this week by noting that that glaciers in both Iceland and Greenland had expanded dramatically over the last 12 months and would continue to expand in coming years. They will no doubt soon be looking for other employment, because the narrative must be honored in today’s academic world.

The Washington Examiner did the Washington Post’s job and discovered this week that Mayor Pete’s dad was a dedicated Marxist who regularly read the Communist Manifesto to his son over the dinner table. Just your normal, every day Democrat politician’s family, right? Right.

Washington state Governor Jay Inslee – who is also running for the 2020 Democrat nomination, because of course he is – signed a bill making it legal to compost human bodies in that state. Have you figured out yet that the Democrat Party is a death cult? Because I have.

In the best talking head clip of the week, Louisiana Senator John Kennedy goes off on John Brennan and Iran:

It isn’t getting anything else productive done, but the U.S. Senate this week managed to confirm the 41st circuit court nominee by President Trump, far and away a record for any president at this point in his first term.

The Creepy Porn Lawyer received even more indictments this week, this time for bilking his porn star client out of $300,000. He now faces up to 410 years in the federal pen. See? There is still justice in America.

Mayor Pete got his Fox News townhall Monday evening, complete with an audience stacked with his supporters and softball questions from a fawning Chris Wallace. Fox’s ratings soared.

Irish Bob O’Rourke got himself a townhall Tuesday night on CNN, causing CNN’s ratings to tank another 30%. O’Rourke then said he sure would like to get him one of those Fox News deals with Chris Wallace, prompting President Trump to issue a tweet asking what in the hell is going on at Fox News?  Good question.

The big bomb of the week dropped on Thursday, as President Trump sent a memo over to William Barr authorizing the AG to begin the process of declassifying documents related to the Obama Administration’s efforts to spy on the Trump campaign, fix the 2016 elections for the Pantsuit Princess, execute a coup on a sitting U.S. president and basically destroy our republic. When asked by one dim bulb reporter what exactly he would be declassifying, the President responded “Everything. We’re declassifying everything.”

Deep State panic ensued.

Bug-eyed Adam Schiff was so panicked that he called the President’s effort towards full transparency in government a “cover-up” and “un-American.” I’m old enough to remember when cover-ups consisted of efforts to hide crucial information from the public. Times change, I suppose.

British Prime Minister Theresa May resigned a few hours after the President sent that memo to William Barr. Even though her intelligence agencies were intimately involved in the effort to construct the fake Steele Dossier and frame members of the Trump campaign throughout 2016, and that May has literally begged Trump not to declassify certain documents, we are to believe the confluence of these events is strictly coincidental. Because, narrative or something.

On Friday, Jabba The Nadler seemed to almost pass out at a press conference with New York Mayor Bill DeBlasio – another guy who is mysteriously running for the Democrat nomination. Trying to destroy a nation of 330 million people is stressful work.

Also on Friday, old Clinton hack Naomi Wolf was humiliated on live radio in London when the host informed her that the entire basis for the book she is promoting is based on her lack of understanding of a British legal term. Her publisher announced on Saturday that it was pulling the book for “re-editing.” Ms. Wolf is one of the rarest of rare Democrats in that she is not running for the party’s nomination in 2020.

Finally, the week ended with MSNBC nitwit host Nicolle Wallace asking Irish Bob O’Rourke the question that is on every fake journalist’s mind: ““Play media critic: What can we do better” to cover his campaign. An obviously flustered O’Rourke had no answer, saying that “it is what it is.”

Why yes, it certainly is.

That is all.
