Durham and Barr Snag a Small Fish in an Ocean of Coup Cabal Sharks

“That’s just the beginning, I would imagine. This… what happened should never happen again,” President Trump said at a White House briefing Friday afternoon. “You’ll be hearing more.”

Durham’s “development” was a bigger deal than Barr indicated. – The guilty plea by ex-FBI/Mueller special counsel lawyer Kevin Clinesmith was not really surprising, but it is a big deal nonetheless, as it represents the first of what will likely become a series of ObamaGate dominoes to topple in the weeks to come.

In an interview with Captain Tick-Tock, Sean Hannity Thursday, Attorney General William Barr indicated that there would be a “development” in the John Durham investigation on Friday, but that it would not be “earth-shaking.” As is generally the case with Mr. Barr, that description turned out to be 100% accurate.

Clinesmith plead guilty to “making a false statement” to DOJ investigators about having altered an email about Carter Page in a manner that changed its entire meaning. Page had told investigators was a source for the CIA, and Clinesmith altered the email to say he was “not” a CIA source in order to support an FBI application for the third FISA warrant to spy on Mr. Page, which was executed in July, 2017.

Disturbingly, Clinesmith was assigned to the FBI’s National Security Division during 2016. He is an obviously leftist radical who bragged to colleagues about having played a part in the FBI’s role in trying to tilt the election towards Hillary Clinton, and to be working to “destroy the Republic.” Following Trump’s victory in 2016, Clinesmith, identified as “Attorney 2” in the Horowitz report, had this exchange with that fellow FBI lawyer:

Attorney 2: “I am numb.”

Other employee not involved in midyear investigation: “I can’t stop crying.”

Attorney 2: “That makes me even more sad.”

Employee “Like, what happened? You promised me this wouldn’t happen. YOU PROMISED…”

Attorney 2: “I am so stressed about what I could have done differently.”

Employee: “Don’t stress. None of that mattered. The FBI’s influence.”

Attorney 2: “I don’t know. We broke the momentum.”

Employee: “That is not so….”

Attorney 2: “I’m just devastated. I can’t wait until I can leave today and just shut off the world for the next four days…I just can’t imagine the systematic disassembly of the progress we made over the last 8 years. ACA is gone. Who knows if the rhetoric about deporting people, walls and crap is true. I honestly feel like there is going to be a lot more gun issues too, the crazies won finally. This is the tea party on steroids. And the GOP is going to be lost, they have to deal with an incumbent in 4 years. We have to fight this again. Also Pence is stupid.”

Attorney 2: “And it’s just hard not to feel like the FBI caused some of this. It was razor thin in some states. Plus my god damned name is all over the legal documents investigating his staff. So who knows if that breaks to him, what he is going to do.”

[End]

Clinesmith’s obvious hatred for President Trump and the American republic obviously made him the perfect FBI lawyer to be detailed over the Mueller Special Counsel probe when it got started in May 2017, and he was in that role, working directly with lead Mueller henchman Andrew Weissman, when he altered the email in question.

It’s important to remember that Clinesmith’s wrongdoing took place on the watch of Christopher Wray, not James Comey. It also took place under the watch of Rod Rosenstein after AG Jeff Sessions had recused himself. Rosenstein and Weissman were basically running the entire Department of Justice from May, 2017 through January, 2019, when William Barr came into the AG’s job.

Clinesmith was far from the only FBI employee who was involved in the attempted coup d’etat targeting President Trump. The Horowitz report named no fewer than five such skunks who brought disgrace on themselves during this sorry episode in U.S. history.

Thus, Clinesmith’s guilty plea in and of itself was not especially earth-shaking. But the way in which its thread is likely to reverberate throughout the entire apparatus of the FBI/DOJ coup cabal that existed during 2016 and 2017 is likely to be.

It’s key to note that, in his interview with Hannity, Barr also said that Durham’s efforts would not be delayed by political considerations over the upcoming election, and that there would be more to come from him soon. As I noted above, Barr’s public statements have a way of being proven true.

Stay tuned. The fun is just beginning, and payback is going to be hell.

Wednesday News Roundup: Sessions Slammed, Cannon Fired, and Florida’s Covid Frauds Caught

Adios, Jeff! – While Tommy Tuberville is certainly not the most reliable conservative thinker in the world – especially on illegal immigration issues – I have to admit to being in a celebratory mood last night as I read about the election results in the great state of Alabama. There, Tuberville shellacked former Senator and do-nothing Attorney General Jeff Sessions by a whopping 24% of the vote.

Sessions, who was a fine U.S. Senator from Alabama for many years, did this to himself when he sand-bagged President Donald Trump by recusing himself from anything having to do with Russia the day after accepting the AG job under the dubious rationale that he had held one meeting with the Russian ambassador to the U.S. while he was still a sitting senator.  Sessions then sat back and did nothing while Rod Rosenstein and Robert Mueller’s band of leftist thugs ran roughshod over the constitution for two solid years before the President finally, blessedly, fired him.

Thus, while Sessions might – might – have become a more solidly reliable conservative vote than Tuberville, it is still quite pleasing to see him suffer such an ignominious defeat at the hands of Alabama voters.

Sessions defended his recusal decision in his concession speech last night, saying that “I leave office with my integrity intact,” and that he “saved the President’s bacon” by doing it.

Good riddance.

Adios, Nick Cannon! – At least from ViaComCBS, which terminated its relationship with this mysteriously popular entertainer who has aspired to be the Black Ryan Secrest. Cannon formerly hosted “America’s Got Talent,” and currently serves as the host of Fox Television’s “The Masked Singer.”

After Cannon was revealed to have made heinously repugnant anti-Semitic comments on his YouTube podcast about Jews, ViaComCBS released him yesterday, and issued this statement:

Image

That’s great and well-deserved. Too bad the Democrat Party refuses to do the same kind of thing with its blatant anti-Semitic members of congress like Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. But that would require intellectual honesty and integrity, attributes no longer possessed by the Democrat Party.

But back to Mr. Cannon: Everyone needs to carefully read what he actually said and understand he was not making despicably bigoted and racist remarks only about Jews. In the course of his comments, he characterized every white person on earth as sub-human and “closer to animals.”

Here are actual quotes from his rant:

“When you have a person who has the lack of pigment, the lack of melanin that they know they will be annihilated, therefore they know that however they got the power, they have a lack of compassion, melanin comes with compassion.”

“Melanin comes with soul, that we call it soul, we soul brothers and sisters, that’s the melanin that connects us so the people that don’t have it, are, and I’m going to say this carefully, are a little less and where the term actually comes from, and I’m going to bring it back around to Minister Farrakhan, where they may not have the compassion.”

“When they were sent to the Mountains of Caucasus, they didn’t have the power of the sun. The sun started to deteriorate them. So, they’re acting out of fear, they’re acting out of low self-esteem, they’re acting out of deficiency, so therefore the only way they can act is evil.”

“They have to rob, steal, rape, kill and fight in order to survive. So these people who didn’t have what we have, and when I say ‘we,’ I speak of the melinated people, they had to be savages, they had to be barbaric because they’re in these Nordic mountains, they’re in these rough torrential environments, so they’re acting as animals, so they’re the ones closer to animals, they’re the ones that are actually the true savages.”

[End]

Note that ViacomCBS limits its condemnation of Cannon’s inclusively racist remarks about all white people to his attacks on those of the Jewish faith. Apparently, Cannon would have been perfectly okay had he just gone after generic white folks.

Note also that Fox, Cannon’s other current employer in his role on the highly-rated “Masked Singer,” remains studiously mute on the matter.

Cannon engaged here in rancid, racist hate speech, pure and simple, just as Louis Farrakhan does in every speech he delivers. I had fully expected both of these media giants to simply ignore this incident, but now that ViacomCBS has at least partially stepped up to the plate, it’s hard to see how Fox can remain hidden away in a corner of the dugout. But hey, you should never ever underestimate the mendacity and lack of integrity of a big media operation, so don’t hold your breath.

News you will definitely not see reported on CNN or in the New York Times. – Dozens of Florida testing sites and hospitals were revealed yesterday to have been dramatically over-reporting their positive COVID-19 testing rates. Independent journalists – not working for any  major media outlet, obviously – became suspicious when the state’s reported number of “cases” spiked over the weekend, and found that more than 50 testing sites were reporting at 100% or near-100% positive rates, a statistical impossibility.

As reported by Zero Hedge:

Journalists scouring the reams of daily data for discrepancies have apparently happened upon bombshell they had been hoping for: Orlando Health has just confirmed that some of the data it shared over the weekend were wrong, after journalists reported more than 50 labs showing 100% positivity rate, or roughly around there. One local Fox affiliate looked into the numbers and contacted a few of the labs to confirm that their internal data matched the public data released by the state.

As it turned out, some of these discrepancies were pretty extreme: Orlando Health, one of the organizations contacted by Fox, confirmed that it’s positivity rate was actually 9.8%, not the 98% that had been reported to the state.

[End]

Tuesday News Roundup: Sessions’ Last Stand, Biden/Bottoms 2020, and Fauci is a Menace

Today is Beauregard’s last stand. – Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III, the former do-nothing Attorney General who allowed Rod Rosenstein and Robert Mueller to run the Department of Justice for two solid years, makes his last stand today in Alabama. He trails opponent Tommy Tuberville by a wide margin in the polling leading into today’s GOP primary runoff election to determine which Republican gets to run Democrat Doug Jones out of the U.S. Senate.

In typical blunt fashion, President Donald Trump made his preference in this election known on Twitter yesterday.:

Just a reminder that everything that happened with the Soviet-style Mueller Special Counsel operation stemmed from Jeff Sessions’ own mendacity. This man is one of our country’s worst disasters, and fully deserves the electoral humiliation coming to him today at the hands of Alabama’s voters.

Speaking of our nation’s worst human disasters… – The leftist nitwits at the Dan Abrams operation “Mediaite” got a case of the vapors yesterday after a senior White House staffer shared a mean cartoon targeting Dr. Anthony Fauci, the man who has done more to destroy our nation’s economy and school system than any person alive.

From the piece at Mediaite:

White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications Dan Scavino publicly blasted White House Coronavirus Task Force member Dr. Anthony Fauci Sunday on Facebook.

Scavino posted a cartoon by conservative illustrator Ben Garrison which showed Fauci as a faucet flushing the economy down a sink, with labels including “Indefinite lockdown!” and “Shut up and obey!”

“Sorry, Dr. Faucet! At least you know if I’m going to disagree with a colleague, such as yourself, it’s done publicly — and not cowardly, behind journalists with leaks,” Scavino commented. “See you tomorrow!”

[End]

Looks like a pretty accurate cartoon. Mediaite’s only upset because cartoonist Ben Garrison captured the reality of Fauci and all the damage he has done and continues to do to our society so succinctly. The man is a menace to our very survival.

In case you missed it, Fauci complained to one eager reporter the other day that he has not briefed the President in “at least two months.” This is what we know in the real world as great and reassuring news. Given that Fauci has yet to be right about anything at all related to the COVID-19 pandemic, it seems like a peachy idea to keep him the hell away from the President so that policy decisions might be made on actually accurate information coming from others.

If Mr. Trump never speaks to this little menace again, America will be a much safer place.

She’s a leader with real leadership who is leading by exercising leadership with leading. She leads the entire nation by leading with leadership, and leads with more leadership than all those other non-leading leader losers hoping to become Joe Biden’s running mate. – Here is Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms’ argument for why she should become Joe Biden’s running mate:

Biden/Bottoms 2020! It will be the greatest bumper sticker ever!

Biden Bros Stickers | Redbubble

Oh, please, please, please let this happen.

News you will not see reported on CNN or the New York Times, part 99,353:

This is what Fredo Cuomo and Jake Tapper refer to as a “civil rights group,” folks. You could never make this stuff up.

A sports journalist piece everyone should read. – Sports journalist Jason Whitlock, who famously called out the NFL and Black Lives Matter last week, published a terrific op-ed at OutKick.com yesterday. It’s a piece every American should read.

Here’s an excerpt:

It’s the media’s addiction to Twitter. We now crowdsource our ethics, standards and guiding principles. The Twitter mob is America’s ombudsman.

Journalism is dead. It’s been sick for a long time. The widespread usage of the internet placed journalism on life support in the 1990s. Facebook and Twitter pulled the plug.

Big Tech killed the greatest human experiment, the United States of America. You can’t sustain freedom and fairness with mob crowdsourced ethics and standards.  By definition, a mob is disorderly, riotous and lawless. A mob is unconcerned with truth.

The theory driving the importance of a “a free press” is that journalists will deliver truthful information to the public and the public will make good decisions based on that information.

Feed the public social media-friendly, clickbait narrative lies disguised as racial-justice truth and you provoke the kind of unrest currently sweeping this nation. Media black lies matter. They agitate old wounds, sow discord and distrust, undermine patriotism and prevent us from addressing real problems.

The annual murder of thousands of black men is a legitimate problem. Social media has us fixated on the annual murder of a half dozen. Black lies matter, especially when they’re used to conceal a political agenda detached from the advancement of freedom.

Journalists should not be political partisans.

[End]

As I keep telling you, the death of journalism threatens to become the death of our country if we do not find some way to hold the corporate, clickbait-focused media giants accountable for their intentional spreading of rank falsehoods. My one disagreement with Whitlock here is that he puts the main focus of his blame on social media, where these thousands of corrupt journalists manifest their outrageous biases every day.

But social media is just a facilitator here, a convenient platform. The truth is that the death of real journalism in our country took hold in our nation’s universities during the 1960s and 1970s with the new focus on “advocacy journalism” replacing the former focus on hard work, proper sourcing and the telling of the objective truth.

The central problem here is that for the last half century students in journalism schools all over the country have been brainwashed to believe that there is actually no such thing as objective truth. Once you lose the concept of truth, then all journalists feel justified in becoming fiction writers and reporters as they intentionally slant the “news” to favor their own personal pet causes.

Fundamentally, this is how a blatantly Marxist, domestic terrorist organization like Black Lives Matter gets turned into a “civil rights group” in the eyes of the entirety of the American media establishment.

The brainwashing will continue until every one of us submits.

Wednesday News Roundup: Texans Can Take Care of Texans; The Rest of the Country Needs Help

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

In case you’re wondering why Texas Governor Greg Abbott, in a press conference yesterday with the police chiefs and mayors of Fort Worth and Dallas, said that he would not be asking for military assistance from the federal government to quell any out-of-control demonstrations in our state, all you need to see is this photo taken last night in the halls of the Texas Capitol Building by Glenn DeShields:

Image may contain: indoor

Those are Texas Department of Public Safety troopers, sleeping on the marble floors. I have walked those floors many times. They are 100% firm – they don’t give an inch, just like the officers getting a few moments of rest on them.

“So we will not be asking the United States military to come into the state of Texas because we know that Texans can take care of Texans. We have tremendous police forces in Dallas, in Fort Worth, in the surrounding suburbs across the entire state. We have an abundance of resources that are being provided by the Texas Department of Public safety,” said Abbott.

God Bless Texas.

Why doesn’t this Black life matter? – Dave Dorn, a retired captain of the St. Louis Metro Police Department, was murdered by thugs who were looting a pawn shop where he was working security on Tuesday. Mr. Dorn happened to be a Black man, as were the vicious thugs who killed him.

Because Captain Dorn was killed by black men, the national news media is essentially ignoring this story. A web search indicates that only ABC News bothered to file even an online story about this senseless killing, and it was reported in the context of several police killings and injuries that happened on Tuesday, with this headline: “Small-town police chief killed as officers in 3 cities wounded during violence at George Floyd protests.”

To make the story even more demeaning to Captain Floyd’s memory, it does not even mention the fact that he was a Black man. I kid you not. Read it for yourself.

Our news media is an existential threat to our country.

Here’s your Ironic Story of the Day. – Check out this tweet issued by the Associated Press on Tuesday:

Just a reminder that Joe Biden has already spent 16,089 days of his life in public office. In all of that time, his main contribution to addressing “institutional racism” was to co-author the 1993 crime bill that… wait for it … targeted Black men.

But he’s now the Democrat Party’s Great White Hope for solving all the problems faced by America’s Black community. If you’re Black and you fall for this, you truly do get what you deserve. Stop this madness.

Speaking of corrupt news media… – The Secret Service guard station that sits just outside the White House grounds was burned last night by the rioters in Washington DC:

A web search shows not a single story on this incident from our national news media. NOT ONE.

But hey, that’s not fake news, so… – One story that the entire national media focused on Tuesday is – predictably – completely fake. It is the story still being pushed this morning that the federal Park Police, in clearing the path for President Trump and his entourage to make the walk from the White House to St. John’s Church on Monday afternoon, used “tear gas and rubber bullets” to intimidate the violent rioters who have caused so much damage and injured at least 60 Secret Service and other law enforcement personnel.

I watched it all happen live, and it was very clear that none of that happened. The Park Police issued a statement Tuesday clarifying what actually did happen:

“At approximately 6:33 pm, violent protestors on H Street NW began throwing projectiles including bricks, frozen water bottles and caustic liquids,” the USPP said in a statement. “The protestors also climbed onto a historic building at the north end of Lafayette Park that was destroyed by arson days prior. Intelligence had revealed calls for violence against the police, and officers found caches of glass bottles, baseball bats and metal poles hidden along the street.

“As many of the protestors became more combative, continued to throw projectiles, and attempted to grab officers’ weapons, officers then employed the use of smoke canisters and pepper balls when protestors did scatter from the area.”

[End]

Reporters from NBC and the Washington Post continue to spread their fiction this morning. Because they are corrupt, fake-news-promoting enemies of the people. That’s what they are.

For those of you still holding out hope that Salt Lake City U.S. Attorney John Huber might still produce some shocking indictments of Obamagate bad actors, the President of the United States would like to disabuse you of that silly notion:

Remember, Huber was supposedly appointed by former AG Jeff Sessions to investigate the Obama FBI’s fake investigation of the Clinton email scandal way back in late 2017. He has to date produced nothing because that’s really what Sessions appointed him to do.

Now do you understand why President Trump detests Mr. Sessions, and supports his opponent in the upcoming runoff election, Tommy Tubberville? It really isn’t complicated.

Reminder: None of this rioting ever really was about George Floyd. – Rioters in Boston last night defaced a monument called “Glory.” The monument depicts heroic Union solders during the U.S. Civil War.

The solders all have one thing in common: They’re Black. They’re the members of the 54th Regiment who became the first Black soldiers to fight in the Civil War.

You could never make this stuff up.

The WaPo Rolls Out a Narrative-Setting Story on the Huber Investigation

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Are you possibly getting a wee little bit tired of all this WINNING yet? No? – Yeah, you know what’s coming: All major U.S. stock indexes – the NASDAQ, the S&P 500 and the Dow – closed at all-time record high levels on Thursday as the markets recognized the soundness of the Trump Administration’s strategy vis a vis Iran even as the Democrats and their corrupt media toadies raged on about it. And it’s only going to get better today, as pre-market trading futures indicate the markets will open at new record levels later this morning. Truly, it never gets old.

Is Hillary finally off the hook on her fake Foundation influence peddling? – If you believe the Washington Post, you will think she is. The corrupt news fakers at the WaPo reported yesterday that the “investigation” supposedly being conducted by Salt Lake City U.S. Attorney John Huber – a lifelong Democrat and Obama appointee – into the machinations of the Clinton Foundation has ended without result. Thus, if the report, based solely on the Post’s usual anonymous sources, is to be believed, the Huber investigation turns out to have been just another of so many false promises made by the worthless ex-Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who announced his assignment of this task to Huber in early 2018.

It has long seemed obvious to me that Huber was actually doing nothing real on this “investigation;” thus, this report comes as no real surprise. But this is the Washington Post, after all, filing yet another foundation-devoid report based on nothing but “sources” who refuse to be named. As we have seen time after time over the last four years, this sort of report has well over a 50% chance of being a completely false story, nothing more than an attempt by someone who might be a target of the “investigation” to set a favorable narrative in advance of the issuance of whatever findings Huber may decide to produce. We have seen this tactic time after time after time, as corrupt media outlets like the WaPo work hard to provide cover for their Deep State benefactors.

So, it is always wise to wait a few days to see what else might pop up.

It is interesting to note that this story is chock-full of all sorts of qualifiers and weasel words, which indicates the reporter(s) who worked on it are attempting to spin a yarn and want to be able to claim ignorance should future revelations prove it to have been inaccurate. Here are some examples:

  • The very first paragraph says the investigation “has effectively ended with no tangible results, and current and former law enforcement officials said they never expected the effort to produce much of anything.” What that sentence really says is that the investigation hasn’t ended at all and the “sources” on whom the reporter is relying aren’t really sure of what they are telling the reporter. Also, “much of anything” is not nothing, indicating the reporter and his sources believe Huber has found something, and that something has them worried.
  • This is confirmed in paragraph 3, which says, in part: “Current and former officials said that Huber has largely finished and found nothing worth pursuing — though the assignment has not formally ended and no official notice has been sent to the Justice Department or to lawmakers, these people said.” Oh. Ok.
  • Paragraph 4 reinforces that the investigation is not actually closed with this opening: “The effective conclusion of his investigation…” An “effective” conclusion is not a conclusion.

Thus, we see the early paragraphs of the story completely contradict the headline. This investigation – to the extent it is a real investigation – is not closed at all, and someone in the Deep State is worried about that fact.

The next part of any good Deep State cover story is to glorify the bad actors at the DOJ who are most likely also the people leaking this information to the WaPo’s reporter.

  • Paragraph 11 takes care of that task with this: “But from the start, senior officials inside the Justice Department viewed Huber’s task as unlikely to lead to anything of significance…” That would be “senior officials” like Peter Strzok and Andrew McCabe and James Comey and Lisa Page. You know – all those “senior officials” who no longer work at the DOJ.

There is much, much more of this kind of nonsense in this story, including three paragraphs later on that are designed to create sympathy for poor, poor Hillary Clinton, but you get the point: This is just another Deep State narrative creation story dutifully rolled out by the sympathetic corrupt reporters and editors who infest the WaPo and our national fake news media.

Again, I harbor little belief that Huber has been doing anything real in this investigation as it relates to the Clinton Foundation, and am not anticipating any real results from it in terms of doing anything to punish the Pantsuit Princess for her blatant selling of the Secretary of State’s office to the highest bidders. But this particular WaPo story, planted as it obviously has been by Deep State interests, raises the prospect that Huber might be onto something tangentially related to the Clinton Foundation, something that has some Deep State skunk or snake worried.

So, best to wait a few days and see what else develops on this front before just assuming Huber has a big bag of nothing. Because more often than not, narrative-setting stories like this one clearly is turn out to be proven false by subsequent events.

One last thought: If the Pantsuit Princess wants to make one final run at the presidency this year, she will need to be free and clear from accusations of wrongdoing related to her foundation. Just a thought…

That is all.

Jeff Sessions is Running, and so is…Kanye West?

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

C’mon, Alabama GOP voters – can’t you do better than this? – The most useless attorney general in American history, Jeff Sessions, announced on Thursday that he will seek to regain his old senate seat in the 2020 election. Presumably not satisfied with the way his do-nothing tenure at DOJ ended, Sessions now wants Alabama voters to allow him to write a different, hopefully more positive end to what had been a pretty solid political career prior to 2017.

After spending two solid years doing literally nothing related to trying to bring the members of the DOJ/FBI/CIA coup cabal to justice, its pretty hard to make a case that Sessions deserves any sort of a second chance from Alabama voters. Though he did have a solid record as a real conservative during his years in the senate, Sessions’ mendacity during his term as AG should be disqualifying.

He enters a crowded race for the Republican senate nomination, joining a field that already includes the terminally goofy Roy Moore and former Auburn head football coach Tommy Tubberville, among others. Moore, of course, was the candidate who was so inept and damaged by scandal that he actually managed to lose an Alabama senate seat to a damn Democrat, the putrid Doug Jones.

Conservatives across the country are hoping against hope that Alabama GOP voters can nominate someone who can regain the seat, and maybe Sessions is that guy. Rewarding Sessions’ disloyal performance as President Trump’s attorney general by giving him back his senate seat will inevitably leave a very bad taste in every Trump supporter’s mouth, but if that is the price that must be paid in order to maintain a GOP senate majority, then so be it.

Kanye, 2024? Don’t laugh. – If you’ve been paying close attention, you knew that this was pretty much inevitable. Are you ready for First Lady Kim Kardashian? If not, you’d better start preparing yourself.

In an appearance at the Fast Company Innovation Festival in New York City on Thursday, Kanye West had this to say:

“When I run for president in 2024, we’re going to definitely- yo whatchu all laughing at?” West reacted to the laughing crowd. “When I run for president in 2024, we would’ve created so many jobs that, in fact, I’m going to walk.”

“What I’m saying is, when y’all read the headlines, ‘Kanye’s crazy,’ this and that, this and that, it’s like one in three African Americans are in jail and all of the celebrities are in jail also because they can’t say nothing! They’ve got no opinion! They’re so scared!”

Granted, interpreting what comes out of Kanye’s mouth is a bit of an art form; but then, the same could be said about Donald Trump, the guy who happens to be President of the United States. It is a mistake to assume that Mr. West is just shooting off his mouth here, and that he really isn’t planning to go into presidential politics. Frankly, I think it is more likely than not that that is exactly his intention.

After all, Kanye and his wife Kim Kardashian have achieved more from a public policy perspective during 2019 than anyone currently in the Democrat presidential field. Let’s all remember that the couple were the driving force behind the criminal justice reform bill passed into law earlier this year, the single biggest piece of legislation moved by the current congress. Yes, it will sound absurd to some, but they have already demonstrated that they deserve to be taken far more seriously than someone like Tom Steyer or Preacher Pete or even Bernie Sanders, who has gotten no major legislation done during his 30+ years in the U.S. Senate.

Everyone needs to recognize that Donald Trump, the most unorthodox nominee in American history and a man who won his election with a campaign staff of about a dozen people and the sheer force of his will, changed this country’s presidential political paradigm, probably forever. Trump will be re-elected in 2020 and serve out his two full terms in office. After that, it is far more likely that the GOP nominee in 2024 will be some other completely unorthodox candidate than some standard-issue politician, and another wipeout in 2020 will make it more likely that the Democrat Party will also start looking for an unorthodox candidate of its own.

For either party, that person could be someone as minimally-unorthodox as, say, Ted Cruz or an Oprah Winfrey, or it could be someone as radically unorthodox as Kanye West. Keep in mind, that, when he and Melania rode down that escalator at Trump Tower back in 2015, President Trump was considered to be so radically unorthodox that literally no one in the DC Swamp took him seriously.

So now the definition of what it means to be radically unorthodox has shifted, thanks to Trump’s election. Rather than laugh about the prospect, as most in the GOP no doubt are doing today about Kanye’s remarks, the Republican Party needs to recognize that Mr. West has an enormous following, made up in large part of African Americans who are fed up with 50 years of empty promises made by the Democrats.

These are people who are sick and tired of life on the liberal “plantation,” and of demagogic hucksters like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson pretending to speak for their entire segment of the population. With Democrat voter fraud efforts growing larger and larger with each passing election cycle, devising more and more ways to enable the expanding population of illegal aliens to cast votes for Democrats, the GOP must recognize that it should be actively courting West and his support base rather than insulting them and pushing them away.

So, laugh at Kanye and Kim if you want to; just recognize that by doing so you are are laughing away a huge political opportunity.

That is all.

Is Justice Finally Coming for the DOJ/FBI Cabal?

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

“The wheels of justice turn slowly but they grind exceedingly fine.” – Sun Tzu

There goes Trump, attacking CNN again. – Fox News is reporting this afternoon that U.S. attorney Jessie Liu has recommended proceeding with charges against former Deputy FBI Director and current high-paid contributor at CNN and Democrat Party donor Andrew McCabe. Can’t wait to see that little bald fat guy, Brian Stelter, try to spin this one on behalf of the fakest news channel on television.

While the news that the Department of [No] Justice is finally apparently going to move to prosecute one of the major bad actors in the Obama-era effort to fix the 2016 election and then to take down a duly elected President of the United States is encouraging, the details of the Fox story are still troubling.

Take a gander at this passage, for example:

U.S. Attorney Jessie Liu has recommended moving forward with charges against Andrew McCabe, Fox News has learned, as the Justice Department rejects a last-ditch appeal from the former top FBI official.

McCabe — the former deputy and acting director of the FBI — appealed the decision of the U.S. attorney for Washington all the way up to Jeffrey Rosen, the deputy attorney general, but he rejected that request, according to a person familiar with the situation.

The very fact that McCabe’s lawyers were allowed to appeal a decision by a U.S. attorney all the way up to the deputy attorney general’s office is an utter disgrace, yet another indication of the persistence of the two-tiered system of justice that continues to exist within the DOJ. What other American citizen would have been allowed to do such a thing? Such a request coming from you or me would have never even been considered.

Then there’s this from the Fox story:

Last month, a source close to the process told Fox News that McCabe had a “target on his back” because of the Justice Department inspector general findings.

That’s a reference to DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report issued way back in March, 2018, which found that McCabe had repeatedly misled the IG’s investigators in their search for the truth about the Hillary Clinton email cover-up. That report contained multiple criminal referrals targeting McCabe, but all it got him was being fired by then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

Now, suddenly, we have a U.S. attorney who’s gotten around to figuring that hey, maybe we ought to actually pursue a little justice where McCabe’s concerned. Go figure.

Or maybe, just maybe, McCabe’s decision to sue the DOJ over that firing finally pissed off enough people within the Department – maybe AG William Barr himself – that they finally decided to pursue some real justice against a cabal member in good standing. Let’s remember that Ms. Liu is the same U.S. attorney who decided in August that she just could not decide whether or not to prosecute McCabe, and referred the decision back to main Justice. What changed between then and now?

Whatever the reason for today’s decision, it represents a true crossing of the rubicon, as it involves the first prosecution of any of the Obama-era bad actors. We can hope against hope that it’s just the first of many more similar prosecutorial actions to come related to the DOJ/FBI bad actors who attempted to execute a coup d’etat on American soil. Nobody has ever more richly deserved a good nationally-televised perp walk more than McCabe and his many compatriots.

That is all.

William Barr’s Time for Choosing has Arrived

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Boy, here’s a shocker, huh? – Footage from a camera stationed outside the cell in which pedophile and longtime pal of the Clintons Jeffrey Epstein mysteriously died a few weeks ago has been deemed as “unusable” by federal investigators. Oh, golly, how surprising that is.

Ok, it’s not surprising at all, is it? Seriously, this is like a bad episode of Jake and the Fat Man at this point. Was there anybody with a functioning brain still out there who did not fully expect to read this report at some point soon?

Hey, here’s another question someone at our Department of No-Justice should answer: Why has it taken so long for this “news” to be made public? Epstein was found dead in his cell 17 days ago – are we now being asked to believe it took that long for those eagle-eyed FBI guys to actually think to review video footage? How obvious is it that the real answer here is that the FBI no doubt reviewed the video evidence as a first step, but waited until public attention on the case had died down before letting this crucial piece of information out to the press?

The other little bit of news in the Washington Post story linked above is this:

Prosecutors have since moved to drop the charges against Epstein – although they continue to investigate those who might have conspired with him. A federal judge has scheduled a hearing for Tuesday to consider the matter and has indicated that those who say Epstein victimized them will be allowed to speak in court.

Well, of course. You can’t prosecute a very conveniently dead man, now, can you? But gosh, isn’t is just so sweet that a few of Epstein’s thousands of victims will be allowed to “speak in court?” I’m sure that will make it all better for them.

As for this nonsense about prosecutors continuing to investigate Epstein’s conspirators, well, we can’t help noticing that Ghislain Maxwell continues to just fly all over the world, free as a bird, or perhaps free as Hillary Clinton and James Comey and Andrew McCabe and Peter Strzok and on and on and on.

The big question in all of this and so much more is, when will Attorney General William Barr do something real, something other than talking a good game, something to prove that he is  a real AG and not just the second coming of Jeff Sessions?

Well, a golden opportunity to do so just landed in his lap. Useless apparatchik U.S. Attorney Jessie Liu decided she just can’t decide whether or not to prosecute Andrew McCabe for his serial leaking of classified information and lying about it to superiors within the DOJ. Thus, that decision will now be made at DOJ headquarters in Washington, DC.

Here is your moment, Mr. Barr. You have a suspect whose internal behavior was so poor so frequently that he merited the conduct of a full-fledged Inspector General investigation, the report from which was issued way back in April, 2018. That report was so disturbing that even the otherwise feckless Sessions decided to fire McCabe. It also contained criminal referrals for McCabe’s repeatedly lying to investigators and superiors at the FBI and DOJ, the same alleged crimes for which Special Counsel Robert Mueller prosecuted and threw several people in jail during the course of his Witch Hunt.

Here is a chance for Mr. Barr to conclude a process that has gone on for so long that at least one U.S. Attorney quit her job over the slow pace of the decision-making by Liu and others. From the New York Times report:

…[the case]… has been under investigation for so long that the term expired for the grand jury hearing evidence. One of the lead prosecutors, Kamil Shields, was unhappy with the lengthy decision-making process and has since left the Justice Department for private practice. Ms. Shields declined to comment.

This is a case into which a real, decisive Attorney General would step and do the right thing. It’s a clear and unambiguous opportunity for William Barr to demonstrate that the two-tiered system of justice that existed in our country for the 24 years before Donald Trump took office will come to an end under his watch.

If Andrew McCabe is allowed to skate and go onto become wealthy thanks to his benefactors at CNN, then we all should forget about any of the bad actors who tried to fix the 2016 election and mounted a failed coup d’etat against a sitting President of the United States ever seeing anything resembling “justice.”

For William Barr, the time for choosing has arrived.

That is all.

In Hannity Interview, Giuliani Tosses Christopher Wray Under the Bus

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

The Bruce Ohr 302 reports were finally released last night – though in still-heavily-redacted form – and they show a lot of wrongdoing by the former high muckety-muck at the DOJ. The near-unbearable Sean Hannity managed to conduct an interesting interview with Rudy Giuliani on this topic last night, during which Hannity managed to keep his gaping yaw shut long enough for the former counsel to President Donald Trump to say some interesting things about the wrongdoing not just of Ohr, but his wife Nellie, ex-FBI Director and current National Teenage Drama Queen James Comey, as well as the ongoing investigation being conducted by U.S. Attorney John Durham. He also essentially accuses current FBI Director and by extension former Attorney General Jeff Sessions of basically covering up for the corrupt Obama officials.

Here is a clip of that interview, followed by a transcript:

[Note: I’ve heavily edited portions of the interview during which Hannity felt compelled to constantly interrupt Guliani’s thoughts and remarks. But I’ve done my best to capture Guliani’s comments in full. All of the emphasis added is mine.]
Transcript:

Hannity: Bruce Ohr’s FBI transcripts are out, and they show an amazing amount of contact with Christopher Steele.

Rudy: Sean, we’ve known this for a year, right? I began investigating this a year ago when I took on his [President Trump’s] defense. You can’t believe what’s gonna come out. And this is a dramatic revelation now, but Bruce Ohr should’ve been prosecuted – and his wife, a conflict of interest – 10 months ago. But because we had a justice department that was completely warped [that hasn’t happened].

The fact is these are crimes that are shocking. These are crimes that go to the very heart of our republic. These people had a plan to stop the Republican candidate from getting elected, and then they executed a plan to remove him from office on false evidence, false testimony.

The whole thing was made up from the very beginning and they sold it to 90% of our media. It’s a tragedy.

Andrew Weisman knew it was false from the very beginning, and then he trampled over 3 or 4 people’s rights. The press didn’t care because they were going after Donald Trump. So you can just destroy people if you’re going after Donald Trump whether it’s fair or not.

This is a terrible crime. The dimensions of it you still don’t realize. There’s plenty of evidence of what happened in Ukraine, plenty of evidence of what happened in U.K., and Italy. This was a massive conspiracy to try to deprive the American people of who they had elected as President. That should never happen.

Hannity: The 302’s indicate that Ohr had lots of contacts with various people at the State Department, that they all knew that this guy was desperate to get the dirt out on Trump. And that all continued even after it was proven that he was a leaker and a liar. How high up did it go, Mr. Mayor?

Rudy: How about Jim Comey? Comey put his signature on an affidavit swearing that Steele’s information was verified. I don’t wanna presume him guilty, but at least someone should question whether he shouldn’t go to jail.

Hannity: It looks like John Durham is spending an awful lot of time in Europe.

Rudy: I know why he’s spending a lot of time in Europe. He’s spent a lot of time investigating Ukraine, Italy, U.K. and Australia (the four countries whose operatives are implicated in the Spygate scandal).

(Hannity, who can’t keep his damn mouth shut for 2 seconds, interrupts another thought Rudy was about to convey.) Did our top intel officials outsource spying on American citizens for the purpose of hurting President Donald Trump/candidate Trump?

Rudy: There is plenty of evidence that happened. Plenty of evidence, some of it documentary, some of it already recorded, and for a year, people in Europe have been trying to get this to our FBI and they have been thwarted, ignored and pushed aside.

There was a deliberate effort to cover this up. It didn’t just happen. Even during the Trump Administration there was a deliberate effort to cover this up, to protect the prior wrong-doers. That’s just really sick. There’s something really wrong with that.

And we’ve gotta get to the bottom of it because we have to get this cancer out of our justice system and out of our intelligence apparatus. These are very important things to us, to be able to do intelligence honestly, and these people have disgraced thousands of really good people who do this every day for us. It’s a shame.

That is all.

Trump Orders Barr to Light the Fuse on the Declassification Bomb

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

When real news intrudes on DC Kabuki Theater. – While most of the fake news media is focused on the back-and-forth childish insults between President Trump and San Fran Nan, actual important stuff just keeps happening. British Prime Minister Theresa May resigned overnight after making an utter disaster of Brexit planning. That’s kind of a big deal.

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, who styles himself as a journalist, was hit with 18 charges under the Espionage Act. Gosh, that probably raised the stress level of all the reporters in our fake national news media outlets who’ve spent the last three years trading sports tickets, expensive dinners and sex for classified material, don’t you think? After all, it is one thing for a journalist to “receive” national secrets like several did from Daniel Ellsberg in the famous Pentagon Papers incident, but it is quite another thing to obtain them via bribery or, as in the case of Assange, via hacking illegally into computers. Something to keep in the back of our minds as Attorney General William Barr moves forward with his investigation. More on this later, in fact.

And speaking of our real, actual, functioning Attorney General, the biggest overnight news – news that the New York Times will likely relegate to page 19 of section C – came in the form of a letter to Mr. Barr from President Trump authorizing him to start the process of declassifying documents related to surveillance of the Trump campaign by high officials in the Obama Administration during 2016.

Boom.

“Today, at the request and recommendation of the Attorney General of the United States, President Donald J. Trump directed the intelligence community to quickly and fully cooperate with the Attorney General’s investigation into surveillance activities during the 2016 Presidential election,” White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said in a statement.

The full text of the memorandum can be found here.

This memo is very interesting for several reasons:

  • It confers Barr the full authority to conduct the declassification without involvement from Mr. Trump himself. This makes sense since Trump was the ultimate target of the illegal spying, and thus would have an inherent conflict of interest. It is very telling that the President was unwilling to confer such authority on former AG Jeff Sessions, but is now willing to give it to Barr.
  • Giving Barr full authority to manage the process also makes sense given that it is being done in conjunction with the conduct of Barr’s own investigation, which is being led by Connecticut U.S. Attorney John Durham. It allows Barr and Durham the discretion to hold back any documents whose public revelation might harm their own inquiry.
  • Note all the other high officials addressed in the memorandum. Note the presence of the Secretary of …. Energy??? Hey, what is the main function of the Department of Energy? Why, it is providing security for the nation’s nuclear facilities, both in the Defense Department – whose Secretary is also addressed atop the memo – and in the nation’s power generation sector. Hey, remember that time when the Obama Administration – led by then-Sec. State Pantsuit Princess – sold 20% of our nation’s uranium reserves to the Russians, right after the Russians had poured more than $150 million into the Clinton Crime Family’s Fake Foundation? Yeah…guessing the Coughing Crook soiled her newest fashionable table cloth smock when she saw this little item.
  • Oh, yeah, look at who else is on that list – the Secretary of Treasury. Hey, remember that time when President Barack Hussein Obama his own self authorized the loading of $400 million in foreign currency onto a jumbo jet and had it flown over to Tehran to give to the Iranian Mullahs? Yeah, so do I.
  • Oh, and look at the paragraph headed “Section 1. Agency Cooperation.” Look at how it says “The Attorney General is currently conducting a review of intelligence activities relating to the campaigns in the 2016 Presidential election and certain related matters.” What might those “related matters” be? Sure is going to be interesting finding out.
  • [One more interesting note that comes from a friend] It is also “Interesting that it dropped on the Thursday night before Memorial Day weekend, when most of these swamp rats have already checked out for the long weekend, but while most Americans are still paying attention for another 12-18 hours.”  Solid point.

The timing of this memo is interesting for a number of reasons, one of which is the pending release of the report on abuse of the FISA process coming from DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz. As I told host Greg Budell in a Tuesday interview on Montgomery, Alabama’s 93.1 FM, some parts of that report most likely won’t make much sense to the public at large unless certain documents are declassified either along with the IG’s report or shortly after its release.

My bet is that the timing of this memo means that we will be seeing that IG report very soon now, probably during the first half of June.

One final point, cycling back to the discussion above about Assange and “journalists” who illegally obtain classified documents: Keep in mind that news item we saw several weeks back indicating that Horowitz has been looking into incidents in which FBI and other DOJ officials had received illegal compensation in exchange for such information.

We have waited a long, long time for this declassification and the final Horowitz report. After several false starts and disappointments, it is well past time for both to be real.

That is all.

William Barr Takes the Next Big Step

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Who is John Durham and why should you care? – Good question, and certainly not one I’d ever thought about before last night. That was when the New York Times published an article that appears to be actually true – who’d ‘a thunk it? – containing the news that Attorney General William Barr has appointed Mr. Durham, the U.S. Attorney from Connecticut, to oversee the origins of the Obama Administration’s multi-faceted spying operation targeting the Trump Campaign

Here’s an excerpt from that piece:

WASHINGTON — Attorney General William P. Barr has assigned the top federal prosecutor in Connecticut to examine the origins of the Russia investigation, according to two people familiar with the matter, a move that President Trump has long called for but that could anger law enforcement officials who insist that scrutiny of the Trump campaign was lawful.

John H. Durham, the United States attorney in Connecticut, has a history of serving as a special prosecutor investigating potential wrongdoing among national security officials, including the F.B.I.’s ties to a crime boss in Boston and accusations of C.I.A. abuses of detainees.

His inquiry is the third known investigation focused on the opening of an F.B.I. counterintelligence investigation during the 2016 presidential campaign into possible ties between Russia’s election interference and Trump associates.

The department’s inspector general, Michael E. Horowitz, is separately examining investigators’ use of wiretap applications and informants and whether any political bias against Mr. Trump influenced investigative decisions. And John W. Huber, the United States attorney in Utah, has been reviewing aspects of the Russia investigation. His findings have not been announced.

Additionally on Capitol Hill, Senator Lindsey Graham, Republican of South Carolina and chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, has said he, too, intends to review aspects of law enforcement’s work in the coming months. And Republicans conducted their own inquiries when they controlled the House, including publicizing details of the F.B.I.’s wiretap use.

[End excerpt]

Lots to unpack here.

First, if you’re worried that the assignment of the investigation to Durham is just another head-fake/delaying tactic by a corrupt Justice Department, that concern is well-founded given all the previous head-fakes and delaying tactics we’ve seen over the past couple of years. After all, a full year and a half has gone by since feckless former AG Jeff Sessions said he was assigning Salt Lake City U.S. Attorney John Huber to conduct an investigation into many aspects of the Russia Collusion fantasy, and we have yet to hear boo out of him or see any real indication he’s done a damn thing in that regard.

But of course, that was Jeff Sessions and now we have William Barr in the AG job. Hopefully, that makes a difference. Barr was always going to assign this investigation to someone under his supervision – it was either that or appoint another special counsel to do it, and assigning it to a U.S. Attorney gives Barr fuller control over the direction of the process. That’s either a good or a bad thing depending entirely on what Barr’s real intentions are.

Barr has certainly given us every indication he is a real AG focused on enforcing the rule of law and bringing the real bad actors in all of this to justice, which is why we have seen all the Democrats and their media toadies in such a panic in recent weeks. Justice is the last thing those people want to see.

At any rate, any major undertaking like this requires a focal point to lead it, and Durham is Barr’s pick to do it. It is encouraging that Durham was originally brought into the Justice Department during the Reagan Administration in 1982, and was appointed to his current position by Donald Trump in 2017. It is also encouraging that he has not been a creature of the Washington, DC Swamp, serving the majority of his career in Connecticut with a four year period as the Acting U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of Virginia from 2008-12.

If you’re concerned that this will be another Huber-like year-and-a-half-long head-fake that gets us to the November, 2020 election with nothing to show for it, there is also reason for optimism that that won’t be the case. Given the flurry of self-serving media appearances we have seen from likely suspects like James Comey, James Baker, John Brennan and Sally Yates over the past couple of weeks, it appears likely that the upcoming report on FISA abuse from DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz has been making the rounds and might well contain criminal referrals.

Yeah, Horowitz took a powder on doing that in last year’s report on the FBI’s conduct of the Clinton email investigation, but that was when Sessions was AG. Hopefully, the presence of a real AG will embolden the IG’s office to do the right thing. It’s easier to confront powerful people when you know you have powerful people backing you up.

Let’s say that happens, and let’s recognize that Durham will also be armed with multiple criminal referrals from various congressional committees that have been issued to the Justice Department over the last year. Armed with the results of the multiple Horowitz investigations and all the data accumulated by the congressional investigations over the past two years, Durham should be able to move to the indictment and prosecution phase fairly rapidly if that is his real goal here.

Let’s be painfully honest: We know who the bad actors in all of this really were. The public record already accumulated is crystal clear on this. All that has been lacking to this point is a real Attorney General and a set of diligent prosecutors who were willing to act on behalf of the public interest and uphold the rule of law.

With Rod Rosenstein’s exit from DOJ, the last of the known obstructionists to justice is now gone. Well, except for FBI Director Christopher Wray, anyway. All we the people can do now is wait and pray they haven’t been replaced by a new set of obstructionists.

It won’t take long to figure that out.

That is all.

Barr Delivers Off-topic Bombshells at Budget Hearing

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Those loud noises you hear are the sounds of American liberal heads exploding. – Despite being the target of a clownish witch hunt of his own, Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu was indirectly elected to serve a record fifth term in that job yesterday in Israel’s parliamentary elections. His conservative Likud Party in fact received its strongest percentage of the vote since the 2003 elections, winning 35 seats in the 120 seat legislature, where it will be able to form an alliance with other conservative parties who together won 30 seats.

All the “experts” had of course predicted that Netanyahu would be brought down by the media-promoted witch hunt in which politically-motivated prosecutors threaten to indict him for allegedly accepting illegal gifts from leaders of other nations and his wife for filing to be reimbursed by the government for the costs of holding state dinners at the couple’s modest home. This kind prosecuturial nonsense was rewarded by voters with a significant shift in favor of Netanyahu and other conservative parties when compared to the results of the country’s previous three elections. Just wait until you hear all the liberal heads exploding here in the U.S. when the same kind of backlash takes place in our country’s own 2020 elections. It will be glorious.

Meanwhile, here in America, the New York Times just kept on faking the news for its demented leftist reader base, declaring these very positive results to be a “setback” for Netanyahu, based not on the actual election results, but by always-inaccurate exit polls conducted by fake news media organizations.  I swear I don’t make this stuff up. Who could?

Do we finally have a real attorney general on the job? – Bob Barr certainly made all the right noises during his testimony before the House Appropriations Committee yesterday.

In what was supposed to be a hearing about his department’s budget for Fiscal Year 2021, Barr was of course repeatedly questioned by craven Democrats who have no interest in actually doing their job about the Mueller report and when he plans to release it. During the course of that off-topic questioning by rank demagogues, the Attorney General delivered a wealth of extremely interesting information:

  • On the Mueller report, he said he would likely be able to release a properly-redacted version of it within the next week, and even hilariously promised to color-code the redactions for Democrats who aren’t capable of reading or thinking above a third-grade level.
  • He spelled out four areas of information he would redact consistent with statutes that have been on the books for decades:  1) grand jury information; 2) information related to U.S. intelligence-gathering; 3) information that could compromise ongoing investigations; and 4) information that could violate the privacy of individuals who were not direct subjects of the Mueller witch hunt.
  • Regarding his four-page summary of the Mueller report that was released two weeks ago, Barr revealed that he offered Mueller the opportunity to review and comment on the summary prior to its release, an offer Mueller refused to accept.
  • Barr told the committee that he anticipates that DOJ Inspector General Micheal Horowitz will finally, at long last, be wrapping up his own investigation into the rampant abuse of the FISA process by the deep state cabal inside his department sometime in May. Yay.

All of that is fine and good, but then came the really big news:

  • The Attorney General informed the committee that he has initiated an investigation into how, why and when the FBI decided to begin a counterintelligence investigation into the Trump Campaign, which we know actually began in late 2015 despite FBI and media lies claiming it only started in July, 2016.

If true – and there is no apparent reason not to take Barr at his word at this point in time – this is a very big deal, because any honest and thorough investigation into that particular subject will inevitably reveal that all of these Obama-era DOJ and FBI officials and their media co-conspirators have been lying to congress, investigators and the public about all of this for two and a half years now.

Further, any honest and thorough investigation into this subject will inevitably ensnare James Comey, Peter Strzok, Andrew McCabe, Lisa Page, Bruce and Nellie Ohr, Sally Yates and even Obama CIA Director John Brennan in its web, in addition to many others. Such an investigation would also inevitably reveal that Attorney General Loretta Lynch was intimately aware of everything that was happening, as well as then-President Barack Hussein Obama, given that every president receives a weekly briefing on U.S. counterintelligence operations.

Sadly, here is what Barr’s revelation also most likely reveals: That Salt Lake City U.S. Attorney John Huber and his staff of hundreds of investigators have most likely not been doing a damn thing on any of this over the last 18 months. It was the fall of 2017 when ex-Attorney General Jeff Sessions used Huber as a lame excuse for his refusal to appoint a second special counsel to look into all of this, claiming then that he had authorized Huber to conduct this exact investigation. Apparently, that was just a dodge by an attorney general who was intent on doing nothing, and did nothing well.

As I said, we have no reason not to take Barr at his word at this point in time, and we can always hope he is not engaging in a Sessions-style dodge now. Hopefully, he won’t give us any reason to start doubting his word in the months to come.

Our nation needs justice here, real justice.  Demands it, in fact.

That is all.

Lindsey Graham Drops a Bomb at William Barr’s Doorstep

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Say what you will about South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham – and lots of things are said about him for sure – but he is one powerful hombre in Washington, D.C. today. As the new Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, when Graham talks, people listen, and you can bet Attorney General William Barr was listening when the Senator held a press conference this morning in which he called for the appointment of a new special counsel.

From the Boston Globe:

Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Lindsey Graham on Monday accused the FBI of “unprofessional conduct” in its initial investigation of potential links between Russian election interference and President Trump’s campaign and called for a new probe of its origins.

Now that Robert Mueller’s investigation is over, Graham said he plans to “get answers” about how the Russia probe was started and whether it was used as an excuse to spy on Trump’s presidential campaign. He urged Attorney General William Barr to appoint a special counsel to examine the issue.

Sen. Graham also said his Committee will conduct its own investigation into the origins of the counterintelligence investigation targeting the Trump Campaign in late 2015, and into the rampant misconduct within the DOJ, FBI and various U.S. intelligence agencies.

For Attorney General Barr, Graham’s call for a special counsel investigation presents an inflection point in which he will either demonstrate he is a real AG who is truly intent on doing the job of bringing the real wrong-doers in the nations biggest political scandal to justice, or just another placeholder who, like Jeff Sessions, sees his main job as protecting the interests of the D.C. deep state establishment.

Sessions deflected calls by then-Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley for a special counsel investigation in late 2017 by implying that Utah U.S. Attorney John Huber was on the case and using his team to look into all the Obama-era deep state shenanigans. But here we sit, 15 months later, and Huber’s office has yet to produce a single perp walk or indictment.

If Huber is indeed doing anything related to any of this, now would be the time for Barr to make it public, so that Americans outraged by the anti-American actions within the DOJ/FBI that went on throughout 2016 and 2017 can see that an effort is being made to enforce real justice. If Huber is, as many suspect, just a beard Sessions used to mask his own lack of interest in holding anyone truly accountable, Graham’s call for a special counsel offers Barr the chance to differentiate himself from his do-nothing predecessor.

The ball’s in your court, General Barr.  Show us what you got.

That is all.

Face it: Obama’s DOJ and FBI Were Criminal Enterprises

The Afternoon Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

If you thought the winding down of the fake, failed “investigations” by Robert Mueller and the Senate Intelligence Committee would lead to a similar winding down of efforts by your fake news media outlets to keep the whole “Russia Collusion” fantasy play alive, well, think again.

If anything, the various fake news media outlets have actually begun doubling down on their news-faking enterprises in recent days. CBS is leading the way today with the release of outtakes from the powder puff interview set to air on “60 Minutes” Sunday evening with deep state skunk Andrew McCabe. You all remember McCabe, right? He’s the ex-Deputy Director of the FBI who was fired about year ago for repeatedly lying to internal DOJ investigators about his habit of illegally leaking classified information to various fake media outlets.

See how this incestuous relationship works? Think CBS will make the slightest effort delve into that glaring conflict of interest during this interview? Want to buy some oceanfront property I own out in Central Texas? The potential questions here are endless, but none of them will be asked by “60 Minutes”.

Note the headline on the CBS piece linked above, because it is very important:  “McCabe says he ordered the obstruction of justice probe of President Trump”. That very admission proves that President Donald Trump inherited upper echelons at the FBI and Department of Justice that were in fact criminal enterprises.

As Mollie Hemingway, writing at The Federalist, pointed out in January, a butt-covering piece dumped out by the news fakers at the New York Times late on Friday, January 18 basically admitted as much:

“Admitting there is no actual evidence for their probe into whether Trump ‘worked for the Russians,’ FBI officials instead cited their foreign policy differences with him, his lawful firing of bungling FBI Director James Comey, and alarm that he accurately revealed to the American public that he was told he wasn’t under investigation by the FBI, when they preferred to hide that fact.”

In that same piece, Hemingway further pointed out that CNN had also made damaging admissions about the traitorous motivations of McCabe and his fellow FBI cronies:

Just last month [December, 2018], CNN reported that top FBI officials opened an investigation into Trump after the lawful firing of Comey because Trump “needed to be reined in,” a shocking admission of abuse of power by our nation’s top law enforcement agency.

In other words, your Federal Bureau of Investigation, on orders from Andrew McCabe, engaged in an “obstruction of justice” investigation in retaliation for President Trump’s legal and well-justified firing of the utterly corrupt and incompetent FBI Director James Comey.

But McCabe is not the only traitorous skunk in this drama. It is also vitally important that everyone keep in mind that he was at the time working under the full supervision of then-Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, because the worthless AG Jeff Sessions had stupidly and needlessly recused himself.  Rosenstein not only fully approved of McCabe’s retaliatory act, he also allegedly offered to wear a wire in meetings with the duly-elected President of the United States of America in order to try to build a case for either impeachment or removing him from office under the guise of the 25th Amendment.

Even worse, when reports of the DOJ/FBI criminal enterprise began to leak out in the spring of 2017, Rosenstein then acted in concert with the fired Comey to dummy-up (through Comey’s illegal leaks to the very cooperative news-fakers at the New York Times) the very thin justification he used for the appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller, whose best buddies in life turn out to be – wait for it – Rod Rosenstein and James Comey!

Breathtaking.

When honest historians catalog the events of the past two years, they will record that, when Donald Trump assumed the office of the presidency on January 20, 2017, he was faced with a cabal of outright criminals in the upper management of both the DOJ and the FBI who were conspiring with willing media outlets to take him down. That is of course assuming that any such thing as an “honest historian”, already an endangered species, still exists in our country decades from now.

In the meantime, it appears that pretty much all of the participants in this Deep State cabal have been fired or otherwise removed from any line of authority.  The lone exception is Rosenstein, who announced last month his plans to leave shortly after William Barr assumes the Attorney General’s office, which will happen in a matter of days.

But firings and resignations aren’t enough: The ultimate restoration of an impartial, one-tiered system of justice in our country requires that the bad actors in this criminal conspiracy to bring down a presidency be prosecuted and punished.

We can only hope Mr. Barr is up to the task.

That is all.

The Week in Review: The Voting Will Continue Until The Democrats Have Their Wave

The Campaign Update Week in Review

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

There was an election on Tuesday, and about 95% of the country called it all good then.  All the votes that had been legally cast in this broad mass of the nation were legally counted by midnight, winners were declared and claimed their victories, losers conceded their losses, and all was right with the beacon of hope for the free world.

But then, there’s Arizona.  And Georgia.  And California.  And most egregious of all, there are Broward and Palm Beach Counties in Florida.

Unlike the rest of the country, the Democrat-controlled parts of these states don’t seem ever able to get their votes counted in an orderly and timely manner. Boxes filled with ballots of suspicious origin just keep on appearing seemingly out of the ether with no valid explanation for days, often weeks after the Tuesday on which the election supposedly and officially ended. Corrupt election officials in these areas just keep on counting votes in violation of the law and apparently toothless court orders as corrupt Democrat candidates and their press agents in the news media cheer them on.

Yes, the the same fake news media that has spent the last two full years now promoting the Democrat fantasy that the Russians stole the 2016 presidential election actively applauds the blatant efforts by Democrats to steal statewide elections in these pockets of the country. If you expected intellectual integrity from our nation’s dying journalism profession, you came to the wrong place.

All this post-election vote-finding and vote-counting has now grown the Democrats’ expected net gain in the U.S. House of Representatives from an estimated 30 seats to 40. In Arizona, the outcome of the race to replace Jeff Flake in the U.S. Senate has apparently been flipped, as have three congressional seats in California. In Georgia, boxes full of suspicious ballots just keep “appearing” out of thin air, and without exception they all heavily favor Democrat gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams. Go figure.

Meanwhile, in Florida, the outcome of the race for state Ag Commissioner was flipped from R to D when elections supervisors in Broward and Palm Beach suddenly “found” upwards of 100,000 mail-in ballots that they had not reported as a part of their tally on Election Day, as they are required by law to do. Thanks to the intervention of the courts, it appears the vote-stealing efforts there will ultimately fail to flip the outcomes of the U.S. Senate and governor’s races, but they were able to narrow the GOP candidates’ winning margins to final tallies  that are close enough to trigger automatic machine recounts.

When Americans went to bed late on Tuesday night, it seemed certain that the Republican majority in the Senate would be expanded to 55 seats. As they wake up on Sunday morning, it seems all but certain that the majority will actually end up being a much more tenuous 53 seats, thanks to the post-Election Day reversals in Arizona and in Montana.  This majority is now small enough to once again allow Republican squishes like Murkowski, Collins and a handful of others to effectively control the judicial confirmation process in the Senate.

There was a “blue wave” after all in these mid-term elections, but not on Election Day. It was instead a “wave” of post-election vote-counting that sealed the deal for the Democrats as our worthless news media sat by and cheered the fraud.  If this surprises you, you haven’t been paying close enough attention.

Let’s go to the rest of the Week in Review…

It was the week that an 85 year-old Supreme Court Justice fell and broke 3 ribs, prompting d-list actress Alyssa Milano to offer to donate both of her…wait for it….KIDNEYS to save Ruth Bader Ginsberg’s life. I swear I don’t make this stuff up.

It was the week that the fake news media, in coordination with the Democrat Party, dropped almost all of its previously-breathless, wall-to-wall coverage of the fake “migrant caravan” after Election Day, and took to social media to try to blame their failure to report the story on – you guessed it – President Donald Trump.  Because, of course they did.

It was the week that the fake mail bomber had his day in court and our fake news media studiously ignored the story. Shockingly, all the fake reporters did not take to social media to blame this particular failure to report on President Trump. Seems like a narrative glitch to me.

It was the week that every single candidate on whose behalf Barack Hussein Obama campaigned during the final week got beat.  Well, they all lost on Election Day, anyway – we’ll have to see how things ultimately turn out in Georgia and Florida to have a final verdict, as all the Obama-inspired community organizers do their best to keep finding and counting “votes”.

It was the week that preening CNN peacock Jim Acosta made an ass of himself in the President’s post-election press conference, assaulting a young, female White House intern in the process, and no one in the whole #MeToo movement came to the intern’s defense. Many of them in fact defended Acosta, who had his White House press badge revoked for his troubles, and has still not had it restored as of this writing.

It was the week that sad, declining comic Chelsea Handler decided that posting a semi-nude video of herself on social media would be a great way to encourage millions of Americans to go out and vote.  It wasn’t.

It was the week that Sleepy Jeff Sessions lost his job, about 12 hours after Election Day had ended. Now he can go back to Alabama and regain the U.S. Senate seat he surrendered in 2017 to take the Attorney General job, and President Trump can put someone in the AG’s job who really wants to do it.  A good and proper outcome all around.

It was the week that loser Beto O’Rourke finally stopped texting seemingly everyone in America for money, at least until January, when he will undoubtedly kick off his 2020 presidential campaign. If you think I’m kidding, well, get back to me in January and tell me how your texts are going.

It was the week that this happened:

It was also the week that this happened:

And finally, it was the week that this happened, and no one in our fake national news media uttered a peep of protest:

*sigh*

Just another week with about 800 different news cycles in America.

That is all.

The Church of Mueller: The Left’s Latest Fake Religion

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

It is in the nature of the human existence to want to believe strongly in something, to believe in something bigger than one’s self, to want to work towards a higher calling, to be a part of some movement that works for the betterment of mankind. This desire to believe leads billions across the face of the earth to seek to belong to a wide variety of actual religions, which worship a variety of gods.

Being, as they are, opposed to actual religions, those who inhabit the political left constantly engage in the process of inventing new, fake religions in which to believe. The fake, leftist religions come, as real religions do, with entire sets of dogma, which leftists like to refer to as “talking points”, “slogans” and “chants,” along with god-like figures to worship and satanic figures to demonize.

The best early example of a leftist religion was of course communism, whose dogma found its basis in the teachings of Karl Marx. In modern times, this particular leftist religion has morphed into “progressivism” and now the “Democrat-Socialism” led by raging nitwits like Alexandra Ocasio Cortez. These are more acceptable tags for the American public to accept, but the ideas pushed by them all are the same.

Global Warming became a leftist religious movement, this one led by an actual Pope-like figure, Al Gore, beginning in the late 1980s. That one morphed into “Climate Change” in the early 2000s when it became obvious even to the believers that the world is not in fact warming, and indeed was about to move into a long cooling phase. Plus, calling it Climate Change has the advantage of being more inclusive, and as we sit here today pretty much everything bad in our lives, from bad breath to forest fires to snow storms to hurricanes to the heartbreak of psoriasis has been blamed on the all-seeing, all-knowing, all-powerful Climate Change.

Climate Change has in fact grown into such a global religion that it even has its own heretics, which the believers refer to as “deniers.” These deniers are shunned the community of government grant recipients and cocktail parties hosted by Gore, Michael Mann and liberal newspaper editors. That’s the price for pointing out the fact that Greenland hasn’t melted and hurricane events have become less frequent over the past 20 years despite all the media hype, and sea levels are rising at the same pace at which they have been rising since the end of the last ice age.

There have been many other examples of this leftist religion-inventing – the religion of “Intersectionality” being a great recent example – but we must get to the point here.

The newest leftist religion is the Church of Robert Mueller.  That’s right:  Special Counsel Robert Mueller is now a deity to the American Left. There’s really no question about it.

Wednesday night, several hundred leftist faithful made a pilgrimage to Times Square where they engaged in a “protect Robert Mueller” demonstration. They chanted repetitive slogans just as Tibetan monks chant “ohmmmmmms” during their daily meditations. They activated the flashlight app on their i-Phones and held them up in unison during a moment of silence. It was like a Led Zeppelin concert, only without all the marijuana and fire hazards created by Zippo lighters.

They shared the dogma of their religion with one another, and with any reporter who asked them questions: “Robert Mueller must be protected.  Robert Mueller must not be fired by the evil Orange Man (the Orange Man is this religion’s version of Satan).  Robert Mueller must exist forever.  Robert Mueller must be allowed to complete his investigation – his investigation must go on for as long as the Orange Man is President.”  On and on and on.

The latest bit of dogma from the Church of Mueller is that the President of the United States not only cannot fire Robert Mueller (he can, for any reason he chooses), the President cannot appoint anyone to the office of Attorney General who has ever expressed a skeptical thought about the god Mueller or his “investigation”, which is the equivalent of this religion’s Ten Commandments. (This dogma only applies to the devil Orange Man and will never be applied to any Democrat successor, of course.)

Commandment 1:  Thou shalt not collude with Russia (this does not apply to the DNC or the Hillary Clinton campaign)

Commandment 2:  Thou shalt not be a Russian entity that makes posts on Facebook or Twitter

Commandment 3:  Thou shalt not be a minor Trump campaign functionary with a Greek name who is targeted for spying by James Comey and Peter Strzok

Commandment 4:  Thou shalt not be an easily smearable target named Roger Stone

Commandment 5:  Only those who have given money to Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama may become disciples for the Church of Mueller

Commandment 6:  It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than it is for the Orange Man to escape the all-powerful subpoena power of the God Mueller

…and so on and so forth.

Even better, clingers to the Church of Mueller actually believe that it was somehow “unconstitutional” for the evil Orange Man to appoint Matt Whitaker to become acting Attorney General after he had fired Jeff Sessions. They actually believe that Whitaker is somehow unqualified for the job because he has in the past expressed the same skepticism about Mueller and his “investigation” that has been expressed by renowned legal scholars like Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz and George Washington University Law Professor Jonathan Turley.

The Church of Mueller faithful actually believe that the appointment of Whitaker to the AG position somehow amounts to a “constitutional crisis”, as if they actually know what that term even means. But hey, they don’t need to know what any of this means, because these are matters of religious faith.

As is the case with all of these fake leftist religions, the Church of Mueller ignores a key central truth, which in this case is that Robert Mueller has the safest job in Washington, D.C. today.  Matt Whitaker was not appointed to fire Robert Mueller, although he is likely to exercise some real oversight over his fake investigation, oversight that Rod Rosenstein has been unwilling to exercise for the last 17 months.

It has been obvious for 16 months now that Mueller has a big bag of nothing where his “Russia collusion” fantasy is concerned, and that his efforts to mount some sort of “obstruction of justice” charge against the evil Orange Man amounts to little more than spitting into the wind. It has been equally obvious for two months now that Mueller has been systematically winding his investigation down, as he has agreed to accept written answers to his reduced number of questions from the Orange Man and has let at least five of his Clinton/Obama disciples to go forth and seek other employment.

The evil Orange Man has expressed his lack of any interest at all in firing Robert Mueller literally hundreds of times over the last 17 months, yet the Church of Mueller faithful remain unconvinced. Because, as with any real religion, the devil is always the deceiver.

Normal Americans with real lives can only marvel at all of this and wonder what false deity these sad people will cling to next after, around the first of the year, Mueller sends his final report over to acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker and allows the remainder of his flock of Clinton/Obama disciples to seek new paying opportunities.

They’ll still probably be counting votes down in Broward and Palm Beach Counties at that time, so maybe the Church of Mueller faithful can concoct a new fake religion around Andrew Gillum or Bill Nelson.  Seems likely to me, anyway.

That is all.

Trump Lowers the Boom on Sessions Even Before the Votes Were Counted

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Hey, guess who’s back? – Anitfa, which is nothing more than the militant arm of the Democrat Party, had had its activities suspended in the run-up to the election, probably on orders from Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi.  Now that the election has come and gone, orders have gone out for this bunch of brain-dead cretins to resume their previous assaults around the country.  Isn’t that great?

So, last night, a group of them assembled on the front yard of Fox News host Tucker Carlson and chanted threats at him and his family – which includes small children – for an hour or so. Such admirable people.  Never forget that they are bought and paid for by the Democrat Party. We have to stop letting the politicians off the hook for this anti-American nonsense.

Speaking of leftist radicals assaulting innocent people… – CNN Democrat activist with a press pass Jim Acosta doesn’t have his press pass anymore.  At least from the White House, which revoked the fake reporter’s press badge after he made a complete ass of himself at a Presidential press conference Wednesday morning, and assaulted a young female White House intern in the process.

The intern, who was just trying to do her job after President Trump instructed her to take the microphone from Acosta, received an Austin Powers-caliber karate chop from Acosta for her troubles.  Were Acosta a reporter for a conservative news outlet, the #MeToo gang would have descended on him like a pack of hyenas, but because he works for CNN, there has been radio silence from that corner of the liberal universe.

CNN, meanwhile, spent much of the rest of its day lying to its audience with carefully-edited video that had Acosta’s assault removed out of it.  Because, of course they did.

But it’s not just Acosta – there is a larger problem here. If you watched that press conference – where the President spent well over an hour fielding 68 mostly-hostile questions from 35 fake reporters – you saw a security problem. With only a few exceptions, you saw a group of at least 60 individuals who literally hate the man they were interviewing. These are people who are enemies of the White House – they are there doing nothing but attempting to damage this presidency. They are agents for the opposition, Democrat activists with press passes, nothing more.

I’ve argued for more than a year and a half now that the White House should end the thing called the “White House press corps”, and deny them access to the White House grounds for security reasons. It is only a matter of time before one of these preening, entitled peacocks goes completely off the hook and assaults Sarah Sanders or even the President.

Any president of either party has an obligation to keep the public informed of his actions and the actions of his Administration, and in today’s age of miraculous technology there are myriad means of getting that done. No president has the slightest obligation to allow a pack of agents for the opposition to have unfettered access to the White House grounds on a daily basis. That’s actually an act of insanity.

Suspending Acosta’s press badge is a good start, but that is all it is. Sadly, the action will probably be reversed today, and the insanity will continue until somebody really gets hurt.

Well, that didn’t take long. – Less than an hour after his meeting with the “press” had concluded, President Donald Trump fired Attorney General Jeff Sessions. This is no surprise, although no one had expected it to happen before all the votes from the mid-terms had been counted. Now we will see if Mr. Trump can hire someone into the job who actually wants to do it. Sessions, sadly, obviously didn’t.

Sessions’ Chief of Staff, former U.S. Attorney Matthew Whitaker, will become acting Attorney General until a permanent replacement is nominated and confirmed by the Senate. Whitaker also now assumes oversight of Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his merry gang of Clinton/Obama hacks. This is interesting, since Whitaker has been publicly outspoken in his belief that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein has been negligent in his duty to ensure Mueller remained focused on the supposed scope of his investigation, rather than going off on all sorts of tangents as Mueller has clearly done.

Democrats and their agents in the fake news media naturally reacted with joint talking points that would make ordinary citizens believe that, once appointed, a Special Counsel has a lifetime appointment with unlimited scope and powers, because of course they did. Lying is what these people do for a living, after all. New York Congressman Jerrold Nadler, who will become the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee in the new congress come January, threatened to impeach the President should he make a move to fire Mueller, as did Chuck Schumer and other Democrats.

The President is not going to fire Robert Mueller. That’s not going to happen. Mueller has in fact clearly been in the process of winding his operation down over the past few months, and will most likely be issuing a final report sometime in the coming weeks.

On the other hand, the President probably is going to fire Rosenstein, who is clearly a deep state functionary, and we should expect that to happen quite soon, maybe before the week is out. We should also expect the President to declassify a whole raft of key documents once that firing has been carried out. We should then expect the declassification of those documents to lead to a major, final house-cleaning at the Department of Justice, where more than 25 deep state players have already been removed over the past year.

After all of that has happened, prosecutions will finally begin.  That is how this is all probably going to go, and no set of joint talking points recited by Democrats and their fake news media agents is going to stop it.

That is all.

Democrats ‘Rising Stars’ Fade as Jeff Sessions Drops a Bomb

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

RIP Burt Reynolds, the King of “toxic masculinity.” – The great Burt Reynolds died of a heart attack at the age of 82 on Thursday, marking the passing of a true television and film legend.  Reynolds will be mostly remembered as the “Bandit” in the giant hit film “Smokey and the Bandit,” which I learned yesterday out-grossed “Star Wars” at the box office in 1977.  But he was a serious actor, for which he was finally recognized by the creeps in the Hollywood community late in life, a true master of the craft.

Reynolds won’t receive 8 days of memorial services because liberals won’t have any way to use his death as a tool to bash the current president of the United States, but perhaps he should.  Rest in Peace.

I am Spartacus!!!!  Wait, what?  No, really, I really am Spartacus!!!! – The Cory Booker 2020 Campaign got off to an inauspicious start yesterday, as the goofy Democrat Senator from New Jersey embarrassed himself on national television, causing a huge fight during the Kavanaugh hearings over what turned out to be a big bag of nothing.

Rudely interrupting Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, Booker notified the hearing that he was going to release 12 pages of emails Kavanaugh sent and received during his time in the George W. Bush Administration that Booker claimed were inflammatory and intentionally being withheld by the committee’s Republican majority.  In making his announcement, Booker dramatically compared himself to Spartacus, saying he was willing to fall on his sword and be kicked out of the Senate by taking this action.

Fake journalists all over the fake news media went into high gear, praising Booker for his courage and lauding him for standing up to Grassley and those evil Republicans in order to get these “damaging” emails out to the public. Because of course they did.

But there were two problems with Booker’s claims:  1) the emails demonstrated only that Kavanaugh actually opposed implementation of racial profiling procedures following the 9/11 attacks in 2001; and 2) the release of the documents had already been approved by the committee hours before Booker had his “I am Spartacus, dammit!” moment in the hearing room.

It was a bad day for Senator Jazz Hands, and thus a good day for America.

You are failing this screen test, Ms. Harris. – Things weren’t any better for the Judiciary Committee’s other Democrat “rising star,” California Senator Kamala Harris.  Harris came up a crapper on Thursday after using her time questioning Kavanaugh on Wednesday to build anticipation that she had some damaging information on the nominee.

On Wednesday, as detailed from this piece at PJ Media, Harris had this highly-dramatic exchange with Judge Kavanaugh:

“Judge, have you ever discussed Special Counsel Mueller or his investigation with anyone?” Harris asked. After the nominee responded that he had, the senator asked, “Have you discussed it with anyone at Kasowitz, Benson, and Torres, the law firm founded by Marc Kasowitz, President Trump’s personal lawyer? Be sure about your answer, sir.”

Kavanaugh, perplexed, could not remember if he knew anyone at that law firm. “Is there a person you’re talking about?” The senator responded, “I’m asking you a very direct question, yes or no.”

“I’m not sure, I need to know anyone who works at that law firm,” the nominee explained. As the senator continued to push him, he said, “I’m just trying to think, do I know anyone at that firm.” Kamala Harris cut him off, saying, “That’s not my question.”

“I would like to know the person you’re thinking of,” Kavanaugh said. “I think you’re thinking of someone and you don’t want to tell us,” Harris countered. Can she read his mind?!

“Who did you have a conversation with?” Kamala Harris asked, acting as though the nominee’s perplexed face revealed his complicity.

Republican Senator Mike Lee cut in there with a point of order, but Harris’s apparent setup had been completed.  This exchange set our fake journalist community afire with speculation all over CNN, MSNBC and their social media accounts that Harris must – MUST – have some damaging proof that Kavanaugh did have the secret conversations the Senator alluded to or she would never have brought it up.  Right?  Because to have that particular exchange on national television without having some documentary proof that the nominee had some damaging conversations with some lawyer at the particular law firm in question would be incredibly…well, stupid on the part of the Democrat Party’s “rising star.”

So all these liberal fake reporters and editors and on-air talking heads waited with bated breath most of the day for Senator Harris’s next turn in the questioning, which took place late in the afternoon.  Why, when her turn came, the boom would surely be lowered.

But Harris’s turn came, and it turned out that she, like Senator Booker, had a big bag of nothing, filled only with hot air and a raft of false innuendo.  But then, hey, she’s a Democrat, so of course that was the case.  Some things are just too predictable.

Hey, look!  Jeff Sessions has been doing something after all! – The Washington Post revealed on Thursday that…wait for it…our Attorney General has actually been doing some stuff!!!!  Awesome!!!!

Turns out that General Sessions has had a grand jury convened in Washington D.C. for six months now as a part of DOJ’s investigation into all the wrongdoing committed during 2016-17 by former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe.  The Post naturally portrays this as just sort of the normal course of business, but think about this for a second:  This grand jury has been doing its work for half a year as just one part of a larger DOJ investigation, and the news of it just now leaked to the Washington Post???  Good god, we knew about the two grand juries convened by Special Counsel Robert Mueller last summer about two seconds after the decision had been made to convene them.

Now think about this:  Given all the other bad actors within the Obama-era DOJ/FBI anti-Trump cabal who have now been run off from DOJ, the FBI and even the Senate Intelligence Committee (remember James Wolfe?), do you think this is the only DOJ investigation taking place, the only grand jury convened?  Do you really think that skunks and snakes like Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, Bruce Ohr, John Brennan, James Clapper, James Comey and Sally Yates are just going to skate?

Some in the fake news media are speculating that we won’t see any more revelations about ongoing DOJ investigations until after Election Day, because of the “unspoken rule” that DOJ should not make major announcements within 60 days of an election in order to avoid influencing the outcomes.  Note how our fake news media only concerns itself with “unspoken rules” that might work to the Democrats’ advantage – we have seen no similar concerns expressed by these leftist hacks about all the “unspoken rules” and written rules being slung aside by the Democrats in the Kavanaugh hearings this week.

It’s a fairly safe bet that this media hand-wringing will be proven wrong.  Donald Trump, unlike his GOP surrender monkey colleagues, understands that he is in a political war, a war that only the Democrats were actually fighting until he came along.  Trump doesn’t really much care about “unspoken rules” that exist only to advantage his opposition.

So buckle up. Oh, and don’t be surprised if something very big happens today or early next week.  Something like the declassification of a bunch of documents that DOJ and the FBI have been withholding from congress.

Just another day in the drama just keeps building America.

That is all.

The Big Question: If Mueller Makes Big Moves After Labor Day, Will Sessions Respond in Kind?

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

This is NBC, pushing that false narrative 24 hours every day. – NBC’s fake news hack Chuck Todd says something big is coming from Robert Mueller’s Special Counsel office today.  Not tomorrow, not Sunday, not next week – today.  Why?  Because Todd is still pushing the narrative that Mueller is some sort of stand-up guy who plays by the rules, and the rules dictate that his SC office should avoid influencing the November elections by making any big news between Labor Day and Election Day.  Given that today is the last “working” day before Labor Day, Todd figures Mueller’s gonna lower the boom on President Donald Trump.

This is, of course, all a lot of stuff and nonsense, as the great James J. Kilpatrick used to say.  Robert Mueller is just another Deep State skunk, and so is Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, and there are no “rules” or even the least bit of oversight governing this fake investigation.  This is a witch hunt based on a fantasy, explicitly designed to interfere with the ability of a duly-elected President of the United States to conduct the nation’s business.

Far from being silent for the next two months, we can expect Mueller and his gang of Clinton/Obama hacks to pull out all the stops in their efforts to tilt the midterm elections in favor of the Democrats, which was the plan here from the day of Mueller’s appointment by his buddy Rosenstein.  Mueller’s office might announce something significant today, or it might not.  But the thought that this Special Counsel is observing any of the rules or traditions of the past is hilariously stupid, and not remotely connected to reality.

Jeff Sessions’ job is safe, until it isn’t. – In an interview with Bloomberg yesterday, President Trump said that Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ job is safe until at least Election Day.  After that, all bets are off.

“I just would love to have him do a great job,” the president said.

And thus the competing theories about the Trump/Sessions relationship are set up once again.  Is Sessions just another Deep State skunk who is too compromised personally to ever make a move to bring all the Obama/Clinton-era bad actors to justice?  Or is the public feuding between the President and his Attorney General a Kabuki dance designed to build up public and media sympathy for Sessions before he begins to make his moves in that direction?

Here’s the deal on that:  If you don’t see Sessions doing something big during the month of September, if you don’t see him responding in-kind to any big moves made by Mueller, you should expect to see him fired shortly after Election Day.

Speaking of NBC, The Daily Beast published a report on Thursday claiming that NBC’s executives threatened Ronan Farrow if he didn’t stop reporting on serial rapist and big Hollywood muckety-muck Harvey Weinstein.  This threat apparently came after Farrow had left the peacock network in protest over NBC’s refusal to run his expose’ of Weinstein which started the whole #MeToo movement.

If you remember, NBC claimed at the time that it felt Farrow’s reporting was “not ready” for publication, but Farrow had no problem convincing The New Yorker to run the story within weeks after leaving NBC a year ago.  The Daily Beast report, naturally based largely on anonymous sources (because of course it is), claims that “NBC News general counsel Susan Weiner made a series of phone calls to Farrow, threatening to smear him if he continued to report on Weinstein.”  NBC of course denies the report, but NBC reporters and executives have lied so often about so many things in recent years, and the network is itself so deeply involved with trying to cover up its own series of #MeToo-related scandals that no one can really take anything it says at face value anymore.

At the end of the day this is just a pissing contest between two of the worst fake news media outlets in the business, but the most believable aspect of it is the allegation that NBC did everything it could to protect a heinous scumbag like Harvey Weinstein.  Because, what else would a network whose biggest fake news personality at the time was Matt Lauer do?

Just another day in fake news media America.

That is all.

The Trump/Sessions Kabuki Dance Continues

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Hey, guess what happens when you essentially make it legal to poop on the street? – The answer would seem obvious to anyone living anywhere but some ultra-liberal enclave like San Francisco:  Homeless people are gonna poop on the street, and most likely won’t clean up after themselves.  But San Fran’s city leaders were oblivious to what the consequences would be when they decided to stop enforcing laws against defecation and urination on their city’s streets a few years back, and they are oblivious about how to really deal with the issue today.

So, they are now spending more than $12 million annually on what basically amounts to janitorial services for the city’s growing multitude of homeless encampments that keep springing up all over the city (“What? We can poop on the streets there?  Let’s hop the next freight train to San Francisco!”).  It has now advanced to the point at which a person can make a pretty decent living off the city by signing up to be a part of the “poop patrol,” a sort of rapid response team of sanitation workers whose job it is to quickly respond to the dozens of complaints that come into the municipal poop hotline each and every day.

Here are some fetid details from a recent San Francisco Chronicle article on the odorous topic:

“San Francisco Public Works has a $72.5 million-a-year street cleaning budget — including spending $12 million a year on what essentially have become housekeeping services for homeless encampments.

The costs include $2.8 million for a Hot Spots crew to wash down the camps and remove any biohazards, $2.3 million for street steam cleaners, $3.1 million for the Pit Stop portable toilets, plus the new $830,977-a-year Poop Patrol to actively hunt down and clean up human waste.

(By the way, the poop patrolers earn $71,760 a year, which swells to $184,678 with mandated benefits.)”

One hundred and eighty-four grand for scooping human poop – some would call that nice work if you can get it, and in San Francisco, you can get totally get it.  (I just realized that that’s about what a member of congress makes, which seems completely appropriate.) And feces is far from the only problem the Democrat-run city has built for itself by voluntarily becoming a homeless magnet.  There’s also the issue of cleaning up all the drug needles being left on the streets.  From the same article:

“At the same time, the Department of Public Health has an additional $700,000 set aside for a 10-member, needle cleanup squad, complete with it’s own minivan. The $19-an-hour needle cleanup jobs were approved as part of the latest budget crafted largely by former Mayor Mark Farrell.

The new needle crew is on top of the $364,000 that the health department already was spending on a four-member needle team.”

The “solution” to this issue offered a few years ago by the city’s Democrat leaders?  Hand out free needles.  Since that policy began, guess what has happened?  If you guessed that the number of used needles on the city’s streets has multiplied, you are a winner.

San Francisco’s Democrats appear intent upon turning their city into something one expects to see in a third world country, and they have every right to do that.  The wonder is that the voters in the city witness this insanity each and every day, and keep voting for the same brain-dead leadership when they go to the polls every two years.

All of which leads me back to the conclusion that perhaps the best place for a border wall would be between California and the other 49 states.  This kind of public policy insanity needs to be isolated; otherwise, as we have seen too often before, it will spread like a virus to much of the rest of the nation.

The Trump/Sessions Kabuki dance continues. – As discussed in yesterday’s Evening Campaign Update, President Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions engaged in one of their periodic exchanges of frustrations on Thursday, with the President calling Sessions out for his “stupid” recusal shortly after he took office, and the AG firing off a written statement defending his conduct in office.

Never one to be satisfied with a stalemate, the President fired off another round of haymakers on his Twitter feed this morning:

Now, this is about the tenth time in the last 19 months in which the President has lashed out and publicly berated Sessions in this manner, and yet, Sessions remains in the job, steadfastly refusing to do what anyone would say is the honorable thing and resign.  Given that, two schools of thought have arisen about Sessions and his relationship with Trump:

  1. That Jeff Sessions has no sense of self-respect whatsoever and is just another DC Swamp rat; or
  2. That he and the President periodically engage in this sort of Kabuki dance as a means of building up sympathy for Sessions among the public and the fake news media;

As I made clear yesterday, I continue to lean towards the second option as being the most likely, and that we have seen a pattern in the past of these exchanges coming shortly before some significant action by either the Justice Department or White House related to rooting out corruption at DOJ and the FBI.  We saw similar flare-ups between Trump and Sessions shortly before the firing of Andrew McCabe and the release of the first report from DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, for instance.  This is the first time I can remember a flare-up between the two moving into a second day.

Maybe that’s all just coincidence and maybe Jeff Sessions, a multi-term U.S. Senator and former state Attorney General who has always exuded self-confidence and pride and never given any indication that he was or wanted to be a part of the DC “establishment”, has suddenly become a meek, corrupt doormat.  That seems unlikely to me, though I know many readers disagree.

Let’s give it a week, and see what happens.

Just another day in time to isolate the California public policy virus America.

That is all.

Expect a Trump Declassification of Stonewalled Documents Soon

The Evening Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Don’t look now, but something big is about to blow. – One aspect of what President Trump said in yesterday’s interview with Fox’s Ainsley Earhardt that most in the fake news media are ignoring is this passage right here:

“At the right time, I think I’m going to have to do the documents,” he said. “I didn’t want to. But I think I’m gonna have to. There’s such corruption.”

The President was of course referring to the stonewalling of providing documents requested by several congressional committees by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein and, to a lesser extent, FBI Director Christopher Wray.  This has been ongoing for more than a year now, as Rosenstein plays a delay and deceive game in hopes of the Democrats taking over one or both houses of congress in the midterm elections.

Mr. Trump went on to heavily criticize Attorney General Jeff Session and the hands-off approach he has taken towards anything related to the Democrat/media invented “Russia Collusion” fantasy and the Robert Mueller Special Counsel fiasco.  Trump said “Jeff Sessions recused himself, which he shouldn’t have done. Or, he should have told me. Even my enemies said that, ‘Jeff Sessions should have told you that he was gonna recuse himself and then you wouldn’t have put him in…I put in an attorney general that never took control of the Justice Department, Jeff Sessions … It’s sort of an incredible thing.”

And he didn’t stop there:  “I wanted to stay uninvolved. But when everybody sees what’s going on in the Justice Department — I always put justice now with quotes — it’s a very, very sad day.”

For his part, earlier today Sessions responded with the following statement:

Immediately after Sessions issued his statement, fake journalists began flooding their Twitter accounts with statement condemning the President (because of course they did) and praising Session.

My theory on this stuff has always been that Trump and Sessions frequently engage in Kabuki dances that are generally designed to build temporary support for the AG among the media and Democrats in advance of some large event taking place related all these various investigations.  To me, today’s exchange between the two is the most overt example yet.

Thus, I’m thinking one of the two men is about to take some dramatic step to get the stonewalled documents out into public view.  This could involve the President himself ordering their immediate declassification, which he has absolute authority to so, or it could involve Sessions making a determination that the “highest standards” he claims to demand have not been met in this instance, and taking his promised action.

In light of today’s obvious effort to build up media/public sympathy for Sessions, I’m thinking tomorrow is likely to be a very interesting day.

Buckle up.

That is all.

Brennan, Strzok, Clapper and our #Fakenews Nation

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

“What in the wide, wide world of sports is a-goin’ on here?” – Man, the Campaign Update goes on vacation for 10 days, and you people let all hell break loose.  Well, ok, all hell breaks loose pretty much all the time in our fake news media society these days, but the past week and 3 days seemed more active than usual.

Just for fun, let’s do a quick review of the highlights that took place while yours truly and the little wifey were minding our own business on the high seas:

Super Duper FBI Agent and aspiring spawn of Satan Peter Strzok got canned.  Yes, friends, Jeff Sessions apparently woke up from one of his 3-week naps early last week and realized that he had forgotten to hit ‘Send’ on that FIRE PETER STRZOK RIGHT FREAKING NOW! memo to FBI Director Christopher Wray that he had drafted way back in April.  Now, if he can just get around to drafting – and sending – that INDICT PETER STRZOK RIGHT FREAKING NOW! memo to John Huber, we can begin to regain some semblance of confidence that our justice system still functions to some extent.

Super Duper FBI Agent and aspiring spawn of Satan Peter Strzok got rich.  Well, ok, not exactly rich, but he did get a nice supplement to his investment fund by setting up a GoFundMe account and watching with glee as thousands of Democrats lined up to give him money, proving yet again that PT Barnum was right when he said there’s a sucker born every minute.

Speaking of the justice system, the jury in the Paul Manafort trial went into its deliberations late last week after the defense rested without calling any witnesses.  The defense believes it was able to poke enough holes in the prosecution’s case prove reasonable doubt, which may well be true given that the jury sent a note to Federal District Judget T.S. Ellis requesting him to define the term for them one more time.  Right after that happened…

The fake news media tried to doxx the Manafort jury!  Yes, friends, the very same fake news media that doesn’t want you all to think it is the enemy of the people proved beyond any doubt at all that it is indeed the enemy of the people by suing the court to obtain the names and addresses of the jury members within hours of it becoming obvious that at least some jury members were thinking about acquitting Manafort due to reasonable doubt.  Given that CNN and the New York Times were among the media outlets making the request, there can be no doubt whatsoever – reasonable or otherwise – that the names and addresses of all of the jurors would be leaked to Antifa and other violent leftist groups within moments of their being obtained.  Does anyone really believe the likes of Sarah Jeoung or Chris Cuomo – who actually endorsed Antifa on air  last week – would even give it a second thought?  Thankfully, Judge Ellis told the fake news purveyors to pound sand, perhaps because he has personally experienced numerous death threats himself and requires round-the-clock security thanks to his involvement in this trial.

John Brennan lost his security clearance.  The former CIA Director and obvious role model for the evil Dar Adal character on “Homeland” initially claimed he was being “silenced,” and then went to the fakest fake journalist he could find – MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow – to give him a reliably softball interview on national television.  During that interview, the guy who had accused the President of the United States of committing “treason” for meeting with the leader of Russia claimed he had never accused the POTUS of committing “treason.” He also told Maddow that he doesn’t “think I’m being political at all.”  Even Maddow smirked at that one.  Brennan got paid by MSNBC to do all of that, by the way.  No wonder President Trump wanted to elevate this guy’s public profile – he is the perfect foil.

James Clapper tossed John Brennan under the bus.  In a desperate bid to save his own security clearance – which he has been blatantly monetizing thanks to his contract with CNN for the last 18 months – the former Director of National Intelligence went on CNN Sunday and tossed his old colleague under the bus, saying that Brennan’s outspokenness was becoming an issue.  Remember that Clapper is also the guy who tossed Barack Hussein Obama under the bus just a few weeks ago when he admitted to CNN that all of the spying efforts on the Trump Campaign by the FBI and other intelligence agencies were instigated at Obama’s request.  Clapper is truly the king of CYA.

Keith Ellison got accused of abusing multiple women and the fake news media couldn’t be bothered to report it.  No surprise here, since Ellison is only the second-in-command at the DNC, which dictates the daily talking points to the fake news media.  Or maybe it’s the other way around.  At any rate, expecting NBC, CBS, ABC, or CNN to report on Ellison’s abuse is like expecting a wife to testify against her husband in a criminal trial.  Not gonna happen, at least not voluntarily.

The New York Times faked up another story on a slow news day.  On Saturday, the fake reporters and fake editors at the fake New York Times got bored and decided to fake up a story about how White House Counsel Don McGahn had spent 30 hours “cooperating” with Special Counsel Robert Mueller in his investigation.  This set off a clamor among the entire fake media – which basically just cuts and pastes whatever the NYTimes spews out on its pages – that lasted the rest of the weekend.  Analogies to Watergate and John Dean were ubiquitous.  The problem with the story is that it’s very old news, simply a re-wording and recycling of information that had been made public months ago by none other than President Trump himself, who had authorized McGahn’s cooperation in the Fall of 2017, in an attempt to speed Mueller’s efforts along.  And the media wonders why half of America considers it to be the enemy.

The media outlets who claim they don’t conspire against President Trump…conspired against President Trump.  No kidding, on either Tuesday or Wednesday of last week (I was on a boat having too much food and wine so the days kind of all blend together at this point) more than 300 newspapers joined together to pen editorials bashing President Trump.  They thought they were doing something special, but this is what ordinary Americans out here in Flyover Country think of as your average Tuesday or Wednesday – or Thursday or Friday or Saturday or Sunday or Monday, for that matter.

Ok, so those are just some of the highlights that took place over the last 10 days.  I’d fill you in on what the little wifey and I did on our vacation, but it mostly had to do with food and wine and seeing a couple of Broadway productions and getting on and off a big boat and this is getting a little long and I don’t want CNN or the NYTimes doxxing any of the wonderful folks we dealt with along the way.

It’s great to be back.

That is all.

Did the Whole Russia Collusion Fantasy Game Just Change?

The Evening Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Suddenly, starting over this past weekend, it’s beginning to feel like the tide of national events vis a vis the whole Democrat/Media Russia Collusion fantasy play has begun to turn.  So many key things have taken place since late last week that I’ll probably miss some of them, but I’ll give it a try:

Page Trumps Strzok – It all seems to have started with the closed-door deposition testimony by Super-Duper FBI Agent Peter Strzok’s ex-girlfriend, ex-DOJ lawyer Lisa Page, which took place on July 19-20.  According to GOP Rep. Mark Meadows and others who were present, Page was a far more credible witness than  her spawn of Satan ex-boyfriend, and her version of events differed significantly from the line of BS Strzok spewed during his testimony the previous week.  It’s key to note that no one in the media or the Democrat Party is demanding that the transcript of her testimony be made public.

Another Housecleaning at FBI – Also on July 19 came news that no fewer than three senior cyber-security officials at the FBI were announcing their “retirements” on the same day.  “What a coincidence!”, said the fake news media in unison.

The three “retiring” officials are  Scott Smith, Assistant Director over the FBI’s cyber division; David Resch, the executive assistant director of the Criminal, Cyber, Response and Services Branch; and Carl Ghattas, the executive assistant director of the National Security Branch.  Coming as they do in the wake of President Trump’s summit with Vladimir Putin and all the hysteria over supposed Russian threats to meddle in the mid-term elections, it seems highly unlikely these three departures are actually mere coincidence.  It all smells much more like a house-cleaning, similar to the one we saw during December last year, when Strzok, Page and Bruce Ohr were all demoted within days of one another.

FISA Abuse Exposed – Saturday, July 21, the Big Kahuna dropped, as Judicial Watch, having won a battle in federal court, released 412 pages of documents that form the basis for the FISA warrant and its three subsequent renewals that in turn formed the after-the-fact justification for the FBI/DOJ’s spying efforts on the Trump Campaign, Transition and Administration.  The documents were highly redacted – very predictably – but what wasn’t redacted was extremely revealing, proving that the FBI/DOJ anti-Trump cabal relied almost solely on the Fusion GPS fake Trump Dossier as its basis for defrauding the FISA Court and obtaining the warrant.

Trump Tweets – Meanwhile, President Trump himself was very busy on Twitter, and in thinking about the following tweets, it’s key to keep in mind that Trump knows everything that really happened, who did what, and has known all of this most likely since before he took office.  Here are some tweets that really stand out to me in this context:

Mind you, these first two tweets were issued before Judicial Watch dropped the FISA documents.  The key to me is the final sentence of the 2nd tweet:  “Republicans better get smart fast and expose what they are doing!”  The President doesn’t just burp these tweets out for no reason, and that sure seems like foreshadowing to me.

Then, after the Judicial Watch document dump, the President repeated the same theme in another pair of tweets:

“Republicans must get tough now.  An illegal Scam!”  More foreshadowing.

Some in congress are listening – Later on Sunday  morning, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte appeared on Fox News and made it clear to host Maria Bartiromo that he had heard the President’s message.  In that interview, Chairman Goodlatte “discusses John Brennan, James Comey, and Loretta Lynch being sought for questioning on their actions during the 2016 Presidential Election; as well as compliance responses from Peter Strzok, Rod Rosenstein and Lisa Page.”

An Uproar From The Amen Chorus – Throughout the last week, the cacophony of anti-Trump screeds coming from the Obama loyalist Amen Chorus has grown increasingly shrill.  This includes not just former officials in the Obama Administration, but their media collaborators as well.  With the Page testimony not going as they had hoped and the release of the FISA fraud documents, they all can now clearly see the walls beginning to close in.  The lashing out is a sign of desperation.

The desperation became even more clear on Monday, July 23, when Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ announcement that President Trump was considering revoking the security clearances of Brennan, Comey, Clapper, Rice, Hayden and McCabe elicited an audible gasp from the assembled preening peacocks-and-hens of the White House press corps.  Speaker Paul Ryan, himself an incurable creature of the DC Swamp, laughed the President’s threat off as a “trolling” exercise, but none of the six targets and their supporters in the fake news media were laughing at what was a clear signal from the White House that the game is about to change.

Hey, Mr. Speaker, if you want an example of a Trump Troll, here’s a hilarious (and true) one from earlier today:

Hey, Somebody Woke Up Sessions! – Finally, while the President’s “Republicans must get tough now” message was in part meant for Republicans in congress like Goodlatte, it also was likely a signal to Attorney General Jeff Sessions that it’s time to end his long seeming hibernation from the public eye.  And just like that, there was Sessions earlier today, addressing a high school leadership conference in Washington, DC, joining in with the chant of “lock her up, lock her up!” coming from the crowd.

Now, that could just be a coincidence, but have you ever, in the 17 months since he took office, seen AG Sessions participate in that kind of targeting at the Pantsuit Princess?  No?  Neither have I.

Look, all of the stuff I’ve laid out here could be just a grand, if highly unlikely, coincidence of events all pointing in the same direction.  But I don’t believe in coincidences and neither should you.

This sure feels like a turning to me.  The next few weeks could be a ton of fun.

That is all.

Jeff Sessions Holds all the Keys to the Mid-term Elections

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Note to America:  Dianne Feinstein is no longer far left enough for California Democrats.  – Yes, let that one sink in for a minute before you continue on.

Senator Feinstein, who has held her senate seat since 1992 and was the very liberal mayor of San Francisco from 1978 through 1988, was basically given a vote of no confidence by the executive board of her own political party in her home state on Saturday, as party delegates voted overwhelmingly to support her Democrat challenger in the November election.  For those unfamiliar with California’s odd voting system, candidates from all parties run in open primaries in June, and the top two vote-getters then face off in the general election.

In the June primary, the far-left Feinstein easily bested her far, far, far, far-left opponent, state assemblyman Kevin de Leon, winning 44 percent of the vote to his 12 percent.  But de Leon won the endorsement vote from the executive board members by a whopping 65 to 7 margin, with 28 percent choosing not to endorse either candidate.  Breathtaking.

I’ve been around a long time and I can’t remember any long-time U.S. senator receiving this kind of overwhelming rebuke from their own political party.  The only good news for Feinstein is that she’ll no doubt get 90+ percent of the vote from Republican and independent voters who will find de Leon even more radical than she is.  So she’ll most likely survive to hold her senate seat into her 90s (she’s 85 now), which is precious little comfort to normal people out here in flyover country.

Speaking of the November mid-term elections, I’ve had several inquiries about where I think things are headed, so now would be a good time for a mid-year update.

Those who followed me throughout the 2016 campaign will know that I believe the overall public mood is a far bigger and more important influence over the balance of power outcome of national elections than are the nitty gritty details that the inside-the-Beltway pundits tend to focus on.  This is a more prominent influence during presidential election years than in mid-terms, but it is still a major factor.

That belief is why I began telling my clients and readers in October 2015 that I believed Donald Trump would win the presidency.  The clear mood of the vast majority of the public in 2016 was for change – real, fundamental change in the direction of the country after our disastrous 8-year experiment with community organizer radicalism, which had corrupted every institution of our government.  Among all of the primary candidates in both parties, Donald Trump, by October 2015, was the only truly viable candidate offering real change.

So, even while micro-analysts like Nate Silver were giving Hillary a 97 percent chance of winning and most of the polls showed her holding big leads in the months leading up to Election Day, I held to the belief that the overall mood in favor of real, radical change would end up prevailing and Trump would become the next POTUS.  On the Sunday prior to Election Day, I predicted he’d win 311 electoral votes, overshooting his final total by five.

The overriding public mood this far in advance of Election Day, 2018 is more difficult to read.  Which, frankly, is good news for the GOP, because the absence of a clear public mood mitigates in favor of the status quo.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of the Democrat Party and its fake news media guardians, the public is more divided than at any time since perhaps 1860.  The President’s base of support has only grown more loyal and unshakable over the first 19 months of his presidency, and he now polls better among self-identifying Republicans than any of his predecessors.  But the radical leftist Democrat base of support has only grown more radical over the same period of time, making it very difficult to determine if the majority inertia among the electorate is for change or for preservation of the status quo.

Again, the lack of any clear indication that this will be a real change election also mitigates in favor of the GOP, which holds majorities in both houses of congress, and which is only defending 9 senate seats as opposed to 25 the Democrats must defend.

So, here’s my current thinking on the ultimate outcome:

If the election were held today, the Rs would retain control of the House – barely – and gain a bigger majority in the Senate, with maybe 54 or 55 total seats.  There would be no impeachment action on the horizon, and President Trump would be an overwhelming favorite to be re-elected in 2020.

But the election is four months away, and much can change between now and November. If November comes around and nothing has changed in the current status quo related to all the Obama-era bad actors, the election will go very badly for the Rs.

Right now, the GOP base is pumped up, but it’s only because of President Trump, not due to anything the Republican congress has accomplished.  The tax cuts are great, but they are also old news at this point, and voters in November are going to be asking what have you done for me lately?  Congress’s failure to act on Obamacare last year and the steadfast refusal by Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell to really make a push for funding the border wall will be big issues this fall in the minds of GOP voters.  Should the Senate somehow fail to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court by Election Day, that also will be a huge negative for the Republicans.

There is also great and growing dissatisfaction among the GOP base with Attorney General Jeff Sessions and the lack of any real law enforcement action being taken against the myriad bad actors within his Department.  If we get to November and no one has been indicted, Rod Rosenstein still has his job, Robert Mueller is still indicting Russian ham sandwiches at strategic moments, Peter Strzok still has his security clearances, Andrew McCabe and James Comey are still walking around free and unindicted men, and Hillary Clinton still appears to be immune from the laws of the land, then GOP voter enthusiasm will fall through the floor.

If, on the other hand, November comes around and a bunch of indictments have been served on a bunch of these terrible people and maybe Hillary Clinton and John and Tony Podesta to boot, then the GOP will pick up net seats in the elections and possibly finish the increasingly-radicalizing Democrat Party off for a generation.

It is not an overstatement to say that the entire future of our country hinges on the real nature of Jeff Sessions.  Is he just another corrupt Washington, D.C. swamp rat?  Or has he, along with Michael Horowitz, John Huber and others just been biding his time, executing a plan that will result in the beginning of real enforcement actions following the issuance of Horowitz’s report on the abuse of the FISA process several weeks from now?

Good questions.  The time for finding out is growing short.

Just another day in Jeff Sessions is holding all the keys America.

That is all.

If Sessions and Horowitz really do have an end game, it’s time to get to it

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Hollywood continues its slow death spiral.  – Actress Scarlett Johansson became the latest victim in the left’s war on women on Friday, and hardly anyone noticed.  Johansson had been cast to play a transgender character in a film tentatively titled “Rub and Tug” which had been lined up to begin filming in 2019.  In taking the role, Johansson would have added her name to a long list of heterosexual actors who have played such roles in movies.

But the radical left LGBTQ movement decided to make an example of Johansson, taking to social media to protest the fact that the role had not been awarded to an actual transgender person.  The answer why is obvious to any thinking person:  Ms. Johansson is a name celebrity whose presence in the film would help ensure it would be profitable.  This is not exactly rocket science – it’s how the movie business works.

Without a name actress who would draw crowds to theaters in the role, it is in fact unlikely the movie will even be made.  But the activists would rather kill he film than see this extremely leftist actress get the role.

So how far are the activists willing to take this particular principle?  Will they demand the recasting of the role of the gay character Cam Tucker in the sitcom “Modern Family,” which has been hilariously played by heterosexual actor Eric Stonestreet since 2009?  And will they ultimately, for authenticy’s sake, demand that all hetero roles be played by non-gay actors?  If not, why not, other than the obvious answer that it would mean that certain prominent closeted actors would never work again?

While transgender actors complain that they can’t even get auditions to play heterosexual roles, killing film projects like this one seems like a pretty poor way of increasing their chances.  In announcing her withdrawal from the role, Ms. Johansson said “According to GLAAD, LGBTQ+ characters dropped 40% in 2017 from the previous year, with no representation of trans characters in any major studio release.”  Gosh, I wonder why?

How does Rod Rosenstein still have his job, Part 9,453. –   Infamous girlfriend of FBI Super Duper Agent and apparent disciple of Satan Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, was grilled behind closed doors in a deposition by the House Judiciary Committee on Friday.  Apparently, she offered up Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein as one of her sacrifices, at least if this tweet from Congressman Mark Meadows is accurate:

Back story:  On January 4, House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes reached an agreement that DOJ and the FBI would provide seven witnesses in the coming weeks to testify before Nunes’ Committee.  Of course, Rosenstein also laughably committed in this deal to provide the Intel Committee access to “all” documents relevant to its investigation, a commitment on which the Deputy AG has continued to stonewall.

Well, it turns out that Rosenstein also had no intention of providing the agreed-to witnesses, at least if Meadows’ tweet is accurate.  Which is no surprise, given that Rosenstein’s strategy all along has obviously been to keep the congressional investigations at bay until the mid-term elections have come and gone in the hopes that the Democrats will win control of the House, allowing Democrat committee chairmen to kill the investigations entirely.  Which they will do, make no mistake about it.

Meanwhile, reports cropped up again on Friday that Meadows and fellow Freedom Caucus leader Jim Jordan are leading an effort to submit impeachment filings on Rosenstein as soon as next week.  If such an effort had the buy-in from Speaker Paul Ryan it would be meaningful, but without Ryan’s support and commitment to whip the vote in its favor, it’s just one more futile gesture by members of the feckless and toothless Republican House majority.

You could see in their body language and facial expressions during their recent testimonies before the House Judiciary Committee that both Rosenstein and Strzok believe they are above the law and completely safe from any punitive action related to their behavior.

There are two competing bodies of thought that would explain these two apparently bad actors’ behavior and attitudes:

  1. Rosenstein has been working diligently behind the scenes with AG Jeff Sessions and DOJ IG Michael Horowitz to get at the truth – with Strzok as a cooperating witness who has been given immunity – and are planning to unleash hell at the real bad actors once the final Horowitz report becomes public, all with President Trump’s full knowledge and cooperation; or
  2. Rosenstein and Strzok know that Sessions is hopelessly corrupt or compromised and will never take any action against them, meaning this ongoing farce will just continue for another 2 or 6 years, until a new president can come into office and cover it all up.

I have wanted to believe scenario #1 above, and have even bought into it in some instances because it has seemed to make sense.  But the longer this all lingers on and the more of Rosenstein’s stonewalling and outright deception become publicly revealed, the less probable that first line of thought appears to become.

The news on Thursday that Strzok still has his FBI security clearances in place two weeks after Sessions publicly claimed they had been revoked doesn’t help much, either.

The bottom line is this:  If Sessions, Rosenstein, Horowitz and President Trump truly have been executing some grand Machiavellian scheme to ultimately bring all the Obama-era bad actors to justice, they’d better get to the end game very quickly.  Because if you’re in danger of losing people like me, you’re in danger of losing everything.

Just another day in this crap has gone on long enough America.

That is all.

Rosenstein and Strzok – the DOJ/FBI Tag Team of Corruption and Disgrace

Today’s Campaign Update

Hey, remember when the Department of Justice actually worked on things like prosecuting criminals?  Yeah, those days apparently are gone.  – As if his hostility to the President of the United States of America weren’t already clear enough, de facto Attorney General Rod Rosenstein sent out a memo to all  U.S. Attorneys in the country on Wednesday demanding that they suspend their current priorities in order to help him investigate not some criminal or enemy of the state, but President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.

In an email with the subject line reading “Personal Message to U.S. Attorneys From the Deputy A.G.,”  the Deputy AG asked each of the 93 U.S. attorneys to provide the names of not one, not two, but three members of their supposedly busy staffs “who can make this important project a priority for the next several weeks.”

So, it isn’t bad enough that Rosenstein has already dedicated the time of hundreds of people within DOJ and the FBI to help Special Counsel Robert Mueller in his never-ending fantasy-based witch hunt targeting the President of the United States of America.  Rosenstein now requires the time of another 279(!) DOJ employees to try to help congressional Democrats dummy up some sort of case against that Presidents nominee for the nation’s highest court.

To be clear, Kavanaugh has been around a long time and involved in a lot of different things, in the process establishing a long paper trail.  It is perfectly appropriate and necessary in any supreme court nomination for such a paper trail to be subject to rigorous review.  Such a review could certainly be accomplished by a tiny fraction of the number of people Rosenstein is demanding.  Dedicating 279 DOJ employees to the task smacks of a police state witch hunt.

Meanwhile, while the resources of his department continue to be redirected away from doing their actual jobs, where oh where is Jeff Sessions, who at least in name is the actual Attorney General?  A quick Google search shows he was up in Maine on Thursday, enjoying a little break from the heat and launching an “enforcement surge” targeting the opiod abuse problem.  So, at least he was, unlike his Deputy AG, working on something his department is supposed to be working on.  Awesome.

But why is Sessions letting the eternally problematic Rosenstein direct his department’s efforts related to the nomination of Kavanaugh?  Sessions’ stupid recusal from the fake Russia fantasy play does not in any way impact a supreme court nomination – why is he letting his deputy drain his department’s resources in such a stunning way on yet another witch hunt?

This is an intolerable, disgraceful and disgusting situation.  Rosenstein’s myriad abuses of his office will forever be a black eye to this nation’s history, and Sessions is the guy who has allowed it all to happen.  Unless something very dramatic takes place in the wake of the issuance of the final report from DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz in a few weeks, history will not be kind to Sessions, as he will be remembered as the AG who allowed the Deep State to perpetuate its existence.

Speaking of intolerable, disgraceful and disgusting situations, how about that Peter Strzok, huh? – The FBI’s Super Duper Agent of a Thousand Hats and Aspiring Latin Lover gave public testimony before the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday, and boy, was it a spectacle.

Having never before seen this scumbag in live action, I had pictured him in my mind as a smug, condescending, arrogant product of a privileged upbringing.  I imagined him as being the sort of guy who would have been the party planner in his college fraternity and then went onto a career in which he ultimately became promoted without merit to a position three levels above his competency simply because of which executives he knew and sucked up to.  Anyone who has spent time in the corporate world has known people just like this – I actually ended up having to work for a couple of Strzok clones during my own career.

And sure enough, there that exact person appeared on the nation’s television sets, smirking, sneering, blowharding false answers to members of congress who, unlike himself, were elected by the people to do their jobs.  He was caught in a series of blatant lies that will inevitably come back to haunt him, and in several other statements that conflict with sworn testimony offered by James Comey and other FBI officials.

So somebody’s lying, and given that every facial tick and shred of body language from this guy literally screams out “I AM AN ARROGANT, PSYCHOPATHIC, SHAMELESS LIAR”, the smart money is on Strzok.

If our country had anything resembling an honest national news media, yesterday would have been Armageddon for Strzok and really for the FBI in general.  But of course, the New York Times ran with a web-based story late Thursday afternoon with the hilariously false headline of “F.B.I. Agent at Center of Russia Probe TurnsTables on G.O.P.”  Guessing Strzok’s lawyers had pre-approval on that one.

So, while those of us who took time to watch some or all of Strzok’s disgusting performance live, or searched for real, honest coverage of it that can only be found at places like Fox News, the Daily Caller and the Wall Street Journal had our worst fears about Strzok’s true nature confirmed, most everyday Americans will hear literally nothing about this and still won’t even be aware of who this key figure in the utter corruption of the nation’s highest law enforcement agency is.

Like pretty much everything else going on at the DOJ and FBI today, that is an intolerable, disgraceful and disgusting situation, one that presents a real threat to our nation’s survival.

Just another day in where in the hell is Jeff Sessions America.

That is all.

Think of the FBI as the Deepwater Horizon, Because that’s what it is

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

There really is no mystery here… – Mark Levin was going off on Fox News last night, railing as only he can do in disbelief about the reality that the “greatest threat to our democracy in 2016 was not any foreign country…it was our own government,” which is absolutely true, and that “I can’t believe we don’t have a special counsel…or a blue ribbon commission investigating our own government.”

Well, think about why that’s the case – this is very, very important.  If we had an overwhelming clamor from the members of either political party in congress to appoint a SC or commission to perform a real investigation into what actually happened at the highest levels of the Obama Administration during our last national election, we’d have one by now.  By the same token, if we had a clamor in our fake national news media for the creation of such an investigative entity, we would have had one long ago.

What do we have instead?  Utter silence from congressional Democrats, which was totally predictable.  Some clamoring from 10 or so of the more conservative Republicans in congress, but the again predictable silence from the far more numerous swamp creatures in the GOP caucus.  In the media we don’t have silence on the matter, we have outright hostility to the concept of an independent investigation from the 95% of them who are nothing but propaganda agents for the Democrat Party.

This is the DC Swamp at its finest – or its worst, depending on how you want to classify it.  This is the creatures of the swamp working as hard as they can to preserve their status quo in the face of the onslaught from Donald Trump and his handful of loyal lieutenants.  These people couldn’t care less that our DOJ and FBI were utterly corrupted in 2016 and attempted to fix a presidential election and then go on to try to literally frame a sitting President.  They look at that and think, yeah, we need to preserve that model so we can pick the next POTUS – leaving things up to the voters is obviously too risky.

So, that’s why Mr. Levin is so frustrated this morning and why he is going to remain frustrated – given our current situation, his expectations are simply unrealistic.  The truth is that our only hope for actual justice for the conspirators is that Michael Horowitz and John Huber really are honest brokers and that Jeff Sessions really has been playing the long game, awaiting the eventual release of Horowitz’s final report before beginning prosecution, as many believe.

As I pointed out in last night’s Evening Campaign Update, if you look at yesterday’s IG report as setting the stage for his next one, you have reason to be encouraged in that regard.  If not, you’re probably feeling a lot like Mr. Levin, which is very bad for your blood pressure.

Think of the FBI as the Deepwater Horizon in full flame  – because that’s what it is this morning.  The IG report wasn’t a major disaster for the environment, but it is a major disaster for the agency’s reputation, just as the Deepwater Horizon event in 2011 was a major disaster for the reputation of BP.

Sadly for the FBI, it is led by a current Director, Christopher Wray, who appears to be every bit as inept and clueless as BP’s then-CEO, Tony Hayward was.  Many of you will remember Hayward, a guy who may or may not have been well-meaning, but who had the amazing singular talent of literally pissing off everyone in the known universe whenever he opened his mouth in the wake of that disaster.

There he was, with a gaggle of reporters on some Louisiana beach, as his un-plugged well continued to pour millions of gallons of crude oil into the Gulf of Mexico, uttering meaningless platitudes about how his company takes safety deadly seriously and his plans to implement even stricter processes, procedures and training sessions going forward, and then including the off-hand remark about how he wanted to “get my life back,” as if anyone should actually feel sorry for a guy who was probably knocking down more than $20 million a year at that time.

The good thing for BP was that, after about another half-dozen of such horrifically embarrassing Hayward brain farts, they put him on the first jet back to England and replaced him with another leader who was far more competent and able to steward the company through the disaster and recover its reputation.

Yesterday, we had the spectacle of Christopher Wray prancing cockily up to the podium for his press conference, looking for all the world like a 17 year-old stud jock prancing into the principal’s office knowing nothing was going to happen to him.  Wray then proceeded to piss literally everyone on the planet off with an opening statement filled with with meaningless platitudes, promises that he and his senior staff will learn their lessons from this report and discussion about all the new training he’s going to make every agent in the agency go through, including “political bias” training.  He then spent the other half of his statement talking about how wonderful the FBI’s “rank and file” is.  Holy crap.

This is all the sort of thing terrible leaders do when they want to pretend to be doing something about a problem while doing nothing real about it:  Spread the blame around, lay the issue off on the entire organization in order to deflect attention from the actual bad actors and diffuse accountability and avoid making the tough decisions that would be required to really correct the problem.

Look, there is no mystery anymore about what the FBI’s “policial bias” problem was during 2016:  It was filled at the top by Barack Obama loyalists and Hillary Clinton fans who hated the GOP presidential nominee and wanted to prevent him from becoming President.  Their big problem was that the Pantsuit Princess is a career criminal who had engaged in thousands of violations of the U.S. Espionage Act, and they had to find some way to keep her out of federal prison.  Their inherent bias was so pervasive and overriding all other considerations that those running the fake investigation never even designated the Pantsuit Princess as a “subject” of the investigation.

While the Executive Summary of yesterday’s Horowitz Report does its best to obfuscate all of that, the bowels of the report lay it all out in devastatingly plain language.  Where the Executive Summary claims to find no evidence that political bias played a role in the conduct of the fake investigation, the report itself lays out example after example after example of stark, unmasked political bias by a multitude of FBI personnel.

Firings of every agent listed as a violator in the report is the only way for the feckless Wray to really address the reputational disaster that took place in 2016.  Prosecutions are the only way for the DOJ to actually address it after the firings.  Any measures short of that are just meaningless bureaucratic nonsense practiced by terrible leaders who are seeking to preserve the status quo.

Wray indicated yesterday that he is the FBI’s Tony Hayward, a cocky, clueless man out of his depth who simply needs to be replaced.  He has until about Monday to begin to reverse that assessment by making the firings that obviously need to be made.  Barring that, he just needs firing, because his agency is a burning deepwater platform in full flame and he isn’t the guy to put out the fire.

Just another day in the FBI is a raging dumpster fire America.

That is all.

AP Drops Fake News About New York AG’s Fake Lawsuit To Distract From Horowitz Report

Mid-day Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

If you’ve been listening to or watching the news this morning you are no doubt aware of this report from the Associated Press:

[Excerpt]

NEW YORK (AP) — A lawsuit filed by New York’s attorney general Thursday said President Donald Trump used his charitable foundation to settle personal business disputes and bolster his political image with donations directed by his staff.

The Donald J. Trump Foundation “was little more than a checkbook for payments from Mr. Trump or his businesses to nonprofits, regardless of their purpose or legality,” Democratic Attorney General Barbara Underwood said as she sued to dissolve the foundation and seek $2.8 million in restitution.

The lawsuit says the foundation illegally helped support the Republican’s campaign by raising money at a nationally televised fundraiser in January 2016, then allowing campaign staffers to dictate how the money was spent in grants.

In a couple of tweets, Trump called the case “ridiculous” and said he would not settle the lawsuit.

Many of you are also no doubt aware that the few things that have leaked thus far about the DOJ IG’s report on the Clinton email scandal have thus far been less than earthshaking, and you may be thinking it’s all a big nothing burger.

But think about this: Why did the news of this NY AG’s suit against the Trump Foundation break this particular morning? If you believe that is a coincidence, think again. This is right in line with this morning’s Campaign Update, in which I discussed how the fake news media drops fake stories like this one anytime the news cycle is likely to be favorable to President Trump.

But wait, this is not fake news, you say? Not so fast my friends!

This is a case that now-disgraced and resigned NY AG Eric Schneiderman threatened to bring against Trump and his foundation at similarly strategic times last year and the year prior to that. It’s a phony “investigation” of a charitable foundation that, as Trump himself tweeted this morning, in its lifetime has actually contributed MORE MONEY than it has taken in.

Compare that to the Clinton Crime Family Foundation, which regularly contributes about 5% of the donations it takes in, spending the remainder on employee costs (including salaries to all three Clintons) and travel expenses and meeting costs.

What is most likely going to happen in this case is that, once the public’s memory has faded about this morning’s filing, the NY AG’s office will quietly dismiss the suit late on a Friday evening.

Here’s the other thing: There would be no reason for the fake media to drop this fake story this morning if the IG’s report is just a big nothing burger. It’s 500 pages long, and you haven’t seen the whole thing yet.

But somebody somewhere is very worried about what’s in it.

That is all.

DOJ Brings the Hammer Down on the Senate Intelligence Committee

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Here’s what 40 years of Democrats refusing to address the state’s water supply have done for California… – “Californians May Have to Choose Between Showers and Laundry with New 55-Gallon Water Limit.”  That’s the headline of a PJ Media story detailing the looming impacts of two new bills just signed into law by California Governor Jerry Brown, the provisions of which would impose draconian new water conservation measures on ordinary Californians, while naturally also providing exemptions for all the state’s wealthy, who are overwhelmingly white Democrats like Nancy Pelosi, Dianne Feinstein and Gov. Brown.

The bills would impose fines of up to $10,000 per day for violators, while at the same time providing exemptions for swimming pools, spas and those ever-popular “water features” in all the state’s 6-figure swimming pools.  This is the Democrat Party in action, folks, and they want to bring this kind of elitist discrimination to the rest of the country.  Don’t kid yourselves otherwise.

Tired of all this Winning yet?  Part I – Tuesday was a really lousy day for the Democrats, with voter enthusiasm and turnout down in Democrat primaries and up in GOP races all over the country.  With the fake news media-promoted “Blue Wave” in danger of fading from memory, the news fakers at the raging dumpster fire that is NBC News felt the need to issue a fake poll  purporting to show the Democrats holding a 10 point lead once again in the congressional generic ballot measure.

As I chronicled during the 2016 campaign, this is a tactic that NBC and ABC seemed be tag-teaming during the general election, issuing some wild outlier poll anytime the RealClearPolitics polling average between the Pantsuit Princess and Donald Trump became uncomfortably close.  Guess this week was NBC’s turn.  It’s truly pathetic, but its what these people do.

Tired of all this Winning yet?  Part II – Perhaps the most gratifying aspect of Tuesdays results in California came in the fact that almost all of the George Soros-backed district attorney candidates got their evil heads handed to them.  Soros has been pouring tens of millions of dollars into local district attorney races all over the country this year in an attempt to put soft-on-crime prosecutors in place in his never-ending efforts to completely destroy American society.

It’s always a great day for America when Soros has a bad day.

And this time he really, really means it!  Promise.  Really.  Seriously, he isn’t kidding this time.  You betcha. – DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz sent a letter to the House Oversight Committee that he will be releasing his report on the FBI’s fake investigation into the Pantsuit Princess’s email scandal on June 14.  He has also agreed to appear before that committee to testify on June 18.

Guess what?  June 14 also happens to be Donald J. Trump’s 72nd birthday.  Happy birthday to you!

Wait, what?  Jeff Sessions is still alive and on the job?  Who knew? – The Justice Department announced on Thursday the indictment of one James A. Wolfe, 58, who has served as the Senate Intelligence Committee’s director of security for nearly three decades, for  allegedly making “false statements to agents in December about his contacts with three reporters.”  Investigators are looking into allegations that Wolfe leaked classified information to his girlfriend, a reporter who works for…wait for it…can you guess?…the New York Times!  Wow, that’s a shocker, right?

Ok, it was a 50/50 shot – the only other logical guess would have been the Washington Post, but the Times had a leg up on the competition for this particular criminal endeavor.  The Senate Intel Committee is that execrable bunch led by deep state Republican Richard Burr and ranking Democrat Mark Warner.  The roster includes a veritable who’s who of deep state Rs and Ds including Dianne Feinstein, Marco Rubio, Roy Blount, Angus King and Kamala Harris.

So, it’s only natural that the senior staffer thought to be leaking national security secrets to some leftwing NYTimes reporter named Ali Watkins – whose leftist resume’ sports previous stops at places like Buzzfeed, Politico and McClatchy News – works for this specific committee.  Remember, this is the same committee that gave us Daniel Jones, the former Feinstein shill who in late 2017 raised $50 million from Democrat donors to pay Christopher Steele and Fusion GPS to start dummying up a second fake Trump Dossier.  No word which NYTimes or WaPo reporter Jones is dating, but it’s apparently a safe bet there is one.

Oh, and guess what?  CNN reported last night that Mr. Jones is also now the subject of a DOJ investigation for alleged leaks of classified information.  Of course, it is CNN, so that report could turn out to be hilariously fake, but at this point it’s all the information we have.

Anyway, as a part of the investigation into Mr. Wolfe, Justice Department lawyers “notified Watkins on Feb. 13 that the DOJ had obtained information on her Google email accounts and Verizon phone, the Times reported. The seized records spanned years before and after Watkins joined the Times in 2017 to cover federal law enforcement.” The Times and the rest of the fake news media is in a big uproar about this tactic this morning.  Funny, they didn’t seem to care much when the Obama DOJ did that and far, far worse to Fox News reporter James Rosen and the dogged Sharryl Atkisson, who then worked for CBS.

But now that a Republican is in the White House, suddenly the fake news media gives a damn about the first amendment.  Funny how that works, huh?

But here’s the thing about that first amendment deal:  It is there to protect a free and independent press so it can serve as the public’s watchdog.  It was not intended to protect a bunch of hyper-partisan hacks who work every day to negatively impact the national security of the United States.

News organs that refuse to live up to that responsibility deserve what they get.

Just another day in Jeff Sessions Lives! America.

That is all.

Monday Will be a Very Bad Day for the Deep State Cabal

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

The liberal education bubble in action! – The Pantsuit Princess was given an award by Harvard University on Sunday for her “transformative impact on society.”  Wait, wait, wait – before you guffaw, or vomit at the absurdity of this, think it fully through.

The Coughing Crook has indeed had “transformative impacts” on our society.  Here are a few examples:

  • She “transformed” the U.S. State Department into a classic mob influence racket;
  • She “transformed” 20 percent of U.S. uranium supplies into Russian hands;
  • She and her husband “transformed” a charitable foundation into another mob influence racket;
  • She “transformed” the FBI into a full-fledged criminal enterprise.

But hey, it hasn’t been all bad.  At the end of the day, the Fainting Felon, more than anyone else, gave us Donald J. Trump as President.  Thanks, Hillary!

Today is going to be a big, big day. – I closed yesterday’s Campaign Update by point out that a tweet President Trump issued on Saturday indicated that he was considering taking the big step of declassifying some of the documents that DOJ and the FBI have been withholding from congress for many months.  Little did I know that that tweet was just the trickle of the presidential Twitter flood to come.

By noon Central Time, President Trump had issued a series of nine additional tweets, the text of which reads as follows, in the order in which they were posted:

  • Things are really getting ridiculous. The Failing and Crooked (but not as Crooked as Hillary Clinton) has done a long & boring story indicating that the World’s most expensive Witch Hunt has found nothing on Russia & me so now they are looking at the rest of the World!
  • ….At what point does this soon to be $20,000,000 Witch Hunt, composed of 13 Angry and Heavily Conflicted Democrats and two people who have worked for Obama for 8 years, STOP! They have found no Collussion with Russia, No Obstruction, but they aren’t looking at the corruption…
  • …in the Hillary Clinton Campaign where she deleted 33,000 Emails, got $145,000,000 while Secretary of State, paid McCabes wife $700,000 (and got off the FBI hook along with Terry M) and so much more. Republicans and real Americans should start getting tough on this Scam.
  • Now that the Witch Hunt has given up on Russia and is looking at the rest of the World, they should easily be able to take it into the Mid-Term Elections where they can put some hurt on the Republican Party. Don’t worry about Dems FISA Abuse, missing Emails or Fraudulent Dossier!
  • What ever happened to the Server, at the center of so much Corruption, that the Democratic National Committee REFUSED to hand over to the hard charging (except in the case of Democrats) FBI? They broke into homes & offices early in the morning, but were afraid to take the Server?
  • ….and why hasn’t the Podesta brother been charged and arrested, like others, after being forced to close down his very large and successful firm? Is it because he is a VERY well connected Democrat working in the Swamp of Washington, D.C.?
  • The Witch Hunt finds no Collusion with Russia – so now they’re looking at the rest of the World. Oh’ great!
  • I hereby demand, and will do so officially tomorrow, that the Department of Justice look into whether or not the FBI/DOJ infiltrated or surveilled the Trump Campaign for Political Purposes – and if any such demands or requests were made by people within the Obama Administration!

Ok, let me catch my breath.  Where to begin?  First, let’s just concede that this was the most awesome tweetstorm in the history of tweetstorms.  In 9 tweets, containing a total of about 300 total words, the President of the United states pretty much summed up his own frustrations as well as the frustrations of about half of the country with regards to the obvious, blatant dual system of law enforcement – or lack thereof – that has been practiced within the FBI and DOJ for the past three years.

It is a dual standard, it is a witch hunt, it is a situation in which our ostensible law enforcement agencies are allowing obvious, blatant criminals to walk free on the streets and receive awards from universities like Harvard.  These are people who have betrayed our country, abused its institutions for massive personal monetary rewards, shared its highest secrets with the entire globe and who did their very best to outright steal a presidential election.

We also have a situation in which the conspirators within the FBI, DOJ and CIA who conspired to rig an election and then take down a president now fully admit that they did spy on the opposition party’s presidential campaign, and then repeatedly, bald-facedly lied about it all under oath to various congressional committees and, with the help of their media allies, to the public at large.

So, the President who was the target of the conspiracy is upset about it all?  Go figure.

The very sweaty Rod Rosenstein, whose ill-considered appointment of his pal Robert Mueller as Special Counsel marks one of the low points in all of this, responded to the President’s final tweet within a few hours by announcing he was instructing DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz to expand his investigation to include “whether the FBI held a political motive in the counterintelligence investigation,” i.e., their spying on the Trump Campaign.

Consider the specific wording of that sentence.  Why is it worded that way?  Because Horowitz has already been investigating the FBI spying operation for months.  Back on March 28, when Attorney General Jeff Sessions expanded the scope of the IG’s investigation, the authorization letter included this language: “As part of this examination, the OIG will also review information that was known to the DOJ and the FBI at the time the [FISA warrant] applications were filed from or about an alleged FBI confidential source.  Additionally, the IG will review the DOJ’s and the FBI’s relationship and communications with the alleged source as they relate to the FISC applications.”

Here’s what’s probably going to happen today, judging from the President’s tweets, which by the way were obviously drafted with help from his lawyers and probably Chief of Staff John Kelly:

  • Rosenstein’s reaction to add it all to the IG’s plate is a good start, but probably not enough.  The President may well ask for a second special counsel to be appointed, or perhaps demand that Sessions appoint a U.S. attorney to perform a criminal investigation of some of the obvious criminal activity that Mueller refuses to address;
  • The President may well also announce he is using his constitutional authority to declassify certain documents – such as the letters Rosenstein used to appoint Mueller and expand the scope of his investigation – that Rosenstein and the FBI have refused to provide to Congress;
  • If Mr. Trump takes such action, Rosenstein will in all likelihood offer his resignation, which the President would no doubt accept.

Then there’s Jeff Sessions, our seemingly too-often-absent Attorney General.  There are two common schools of thought about Mr. Sessions:

  • He’s just another deep state operative and will never do anything to bring the real criminals in all of this to justice; or
  • He’s been carefully biding his time, awaiting the issuance of the IG reports and doing everything by the book before springing his carefully-constructed trap on the nation’s enemies.  He’s had Utah U.S. Attorney John Huber investigating all of this in coordination with Horowitz, and indictments and trials will follow shortly after the IG’s work is complete and relevant criminal referrals have been made.

I want to believe the latter scenario about Sessions is the case, because if it isn’t, then all is lost and none of this matters.  If the latter is the case, then things are about to come to a head very, very quickly.  If the first scenario is true about Sessions, then we may see him either resign or be fired outright this week as well.  Because the President has had enough of this crap, and really, who can blame him?

Boom.

Just another day in some of you laughed last Friday when I told you things were about to move very, very quickly America.

That is all.
