America, the Prison State

Now that the impeachment scam has been completed, the narrative-creators will start letting the truth about what really happened in the Capitol riot on January 6 to start dribbling out. Thus it is that today we see the narrative creators at the Department of Justice who rashly promoted a false claim that those who entered the Capitol that day were planning to “capture and assassinate” various lawmakers, including Mike Pence and San Fran Nan Pelosi suddenly walking that claim back.

From a story at Townhall.com:

Justice Department attorneys have walked back the claim that Capitol rioters planned to “capture and assassinate” lawmakers. The move follows acting US attorney Michael Sherwin’s comments earlier in the day that “no direct evidence” establishes the presence of so-called “kill capture teams” during last week’s riot at the U.S. Capitol.

Prosecutors in the case of Jacob Anthony Chansley, the man captured in viral images wearing a horned fur headdress and carrying a spear, have formally requested the court strike a line from a recent filing where prosecutors assert that “strong evidence” exists showing “the intent of the Capitol rioters was to capture and assassinate elected officials in the United States Government,” CNN reported. Prosecutors have described Chansley as a regular drug user who suffers from mental illness.

At a press conference on Friday, acting US Attorney Michael Sherwin said, “We don’t have any direct evidence of kill capture teams.”

[End]

Oh. You don’t say.

The DOJ’s original false claim, of course, was used by the Democrats  and supporting Republicans in congress to dummy up a justification for an actual impeachment vote this week, a vote that was held without any due process or the holding of a single hearing prior to that vote. Now that the deal is one, oh hey, they were just kiddin’.

Despicable.

Hey, no one could have seen this one coming! – Oh, wait, we saw it coming right here at DBDailyUpdate just yesterday, didn’t we?

That’s when I detailed the arrest of one John E. Sullivan, a professional BLM/Antifa rioter/agitator who helped organize and execute the Capitol riot, and who was arrested on Thursday in Provo, Utah. In yesterday’s report, I predicted that Sullivan would almost certainly be released very quickly. Later in the day on Friday, he was released without having to even post bail.

I swear I do not make this stuff up. From a report in the Salt Lake City Tribune:

Judge Daphne Oberg denied a prosecutor’s request to keep Utah activist John Sullivan in jail, but she agreed to release him only under conditions that include electronic monitoring and a mental health evaluation.
Sullivan was in virtual court Friday afternoon, one day after being booked at the Tooele County Jail on a warrant for allegedly participating in the rioting at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. Sullivan was charged in federal court in the District of Columbia with civil disorder, being in a restricted area and disorderly conduct.
He previously told The Salt Lake Tribune that he attended the riot to document what was happening, but a government affidavit alleges he did more than just film. The affidavit says Sullivan yelled things such as “We accomplished this sh–. We did this together,” and, “We are all a part of this history. … Let’s burn this s— down.” He also broke a window and claimed to have a knife, according to the affidavit.
Sullivan claimed in a YouTube video that he was just trying to fit in at the riot for his own safety.
[End]

Oh, yeah, sure, uh-huh, you betcha: This professional rioter scumbag was “just trying to fit in.”

Holy crap.

Meanwhile, here is what Washington, DC, the national capital city of the formerly free nation of the United States of America, looks like today:

This is what a police state looks like, folks, and if the Democans and Republicrats in the DC UniParty have their way, it is what all of the country will look like soon. They are using the false narrative created in the wake of the Capitol riot to advance their real agenda right before our very eyes, supported by their agents in the corrupt news media and the Big Tech monopolies.

There are 26,000 National Guard troops in DC right now, advancing the false narrative that congress and the incoming Biden/Harris Harris/Biden Administration must be protected from violent Trump supporters. They have closed all of the bridges coming into the city and established checkpoints on all the main roads and arteries as well. In order to get into the City of Washington DC today, you must be able to present the proper papers to the authorities.

Saturday News Roundup: Fox News is the Canary in the Coal Mine for the GOP

Fox News is an object lesson for the Republican Party. – The corrupt news media is filled these days with reports about the rapidly declining ratings situation at Fox News. After dominating the cable news landscape for the last 15-20 years and guffawing daily as its competitors aired content whose audience could fit into a phone booth, Fox suddenly finds itself trailing behind both CNN and MSNBC, and badly.

As I pointed out earlier this week, Fox, which at one point boasted 18 of the 20 top-rated cable news programs, now has just two – The Five and Tucker Carlson – which still break into that level. Sean Captain Tick-Tock Hannity, who had the top-rated program in all of cable television for several recent years, came in at #27 in last week’s ratings measurement:

Image

Simply put: Fox News is tanking bigly since Election Night for the simple fact that supporters of President Donald Trump are abandoning it. Now, here’s the big key: Trump’s supporters are abandoning Fox News because Fox News abandoned President Trump.

The Election Night premature call of Arizona for Joe Biden was just one event in an abandonment process by Fox that grew throughout the year of 2020. The visible shift in Fox’s perspective and editorial content began as early as mid-2019, after it had hired former House Speaker and noted Trump-hater Paul Ryan to join its board of directors. While the conservative tilt of the channel’s core evening opinion shows remains intact to this day, the tilt of the daytme programming and the 2-hour evening news bloc hosted by Bret Baier and Martha MacAllum has moved increasingly into the anti-Trump camp.

Fox’s ratings have obviously suffered along with this steady move to the political left. The early call of Arizona was just the last straw on the back of a ratings camel that had had straws heaped upon it daily over the prior 18 months. Fox is now in deep doo-doo since, unlike its competitors at CNN and MSNBC, which are nothing more than media loss leaders for massive international corporate entities, it is a company that relies on advertising ratings to be profitable, and must make a profit to stick around.

And here’s the bottom line: Those Trump people won’t be coming back. They aren’t going to calm down eventually and return to the fold – they feel no residue of loyalty whatsoever to a media company filled with talking heads who abandoned them.

The Republican Party today finds itself very much in the same leaky boat in which Fox News is currently foundering. The GOP’s steadily advancing betrayal of President Trump since Election Day, as its congressional members sink back into the muck of the DC Swamp and return to their Democan/Republicrat UniParty ways has been very visible and upsetting to Trump supporters. Those Trump supporters now make up the vast preponderance of the party’s voter base.

Mitch McConnell and the RINO caucuses in the senate and house appear to be operating under the belief that they can go about betraying and getting rid of Trump – who has been a pain in their backside for five long years now – and they’ll be able to somehow recover once Trump is gone. They possess such rank contempt for Trump’s voters that they truly believe that those voters will just return to the fold well in advance of the 2022 mid-term elections as memories of Trump and Trump-ism fade and those voters wake up to the realization that their only alternative to voting for RINOs is to vote for Democrats.

This is a very perilous thought process for these Swamp rats to be entertaining, because it ignores several key factors about Trump’s army of 75 million voters:

– Millions of those voters were not Republicans to begin with. Trump’s policies and achievements brought millions of new voters into the GOP, many of them minorities who had never voted for a Republican in their lives;

– Millions of those voters are loyal to Trump as an individual, and hold no allegiance to any political party;

– Millions of those voters were attracted to Trump due to his singular willingness to call out the pervasive corruption in Washington, DC and fight against it. Their loyalties will never transfer onto UniParty swamp dwellers who spend all of their time in DC trying to figure out how to profit from the Swamp.

These realities leave the GOP in great peril. The minority voters who came to support and vote for Trump have zero innate affection to the Republican Party, which has by and large spent the last half-century ignoring them under the assumption they would always vote for Democrats. The new blue collar voters, the middle-class workers and union members who voted for Trump, are by and large people whose innate instinct will now be to go back to voting for Democrats who promise them the world. True, Democrats don’t deliver any better than the Republicans, but at least they make the promises; at least they pay attention to them. And those voters who came into the Party to vote for Trump due to his fight against the Swamp are most likely now to just go back to staying at home on election days to come.

We have already witnessed McConnell’s intent to go back to ignoring this army of millions of new GOP voters with his refusal to even allow a bill containing a $2,000 COVID relief payment to come to a vote in December. That is who Mitch McConnell really is, and it is where he plans to take the Republican minority caucus in the Senate over the next two years. So long as McConnell remains the GOP’s leader in the Senate, that is what the Republican Party is going to look like.

If McConnell now follows up on his stated plans to support the Democrats’ latest impeachment scam and tries to round up enough GOP votes in the senate for a conviction, that act will be seen by Trump’s supporters in exactly the same way they see Fox’s premature call of Arizona: The straw that broke the camel’s back. Once you have alienated those millions of Trump voters, you will never get them back.

Fox News is the canary in the coal mine for the entire GOP. Unfortunately, the Party’s leaders can’t see that the canary is already dead.

That is all.

Trump’s Second Impeachment Won’t End the DC Swamp’s Delirium Towards Him

Delirium tremens

Delirium tremens is a rapid onset of confusion usually caused by withdrawal from alcohol.  Physical effects may include shaking, shivering, irregular heart rate, and sweating.

The shocking election of Donald Trump to the presidency in 2016 threw the DC Swamp into a state of political delirium. The threat Trump presented of forcing members in good standing of the DC UniParty to have to face withdrawal from their narcotic of ill-gotten financial gains via the Swamp’s broad variety of influence peddling schemes immediately threw every Swamp rat and snake and skunk into some or all of the symptoms described above.

Already frightened by his very presence as a contender for the Republican Party’s nomination that year, the Swamp began its efforts to take him out at the Obama FBI and DOJ with the whole illegal Crossfire Hurricane spying on his campaign. Such efforts increased exponentially upon his election, and continued to be mounted across the entirety of his presidency. Not a day went by without some facet of the never-ending coup d’etat being active, and it continued yesterday with a second sham impeachment vote in the House of Representatives, a vote that happened without the holding of a single hearing on the matter.

Some are saying this morning that that sham vote without a second of due process will be the end of it. They are wrong.

Well, at least he’s consistent. – Tom Cotton likely damaged his political future last week through his refusal to oppose the clearly fraudulent electoral vote that had been submitted to congress by the states of Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia and Arizona. The Senator from Arkansas said at the time that he believed his duty to uphold the constitution prevent his taking that step, an argument that is at best highly questionable.

On Wednesday, Cotton made the same argument in explaining his opposition to the Senate taking up yet another impeachment trial against President Donald Trump, whose term has just 6 days remaining. “Last week, I opposed the effort to reject certified electoral votes for the same reason — fidelity to the Constitution — I now oppose impeachment proceedings against a former president,” Cotton said.

In a statement released late Wednesday, Cotton said that the Senate simply lacks the constitutional authority to take up such a trial once the President has left office, and that its rules prevent it from even starting a trial, much less finishing one, before his term ends on January 20.

From a story at The Hill:

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), an influential conservative and possible contender for the White House in 2024, says the Senate lacks constitutional authority to hold an impeachment trial for President Trump once he leaves office.

“The Senate lacks constitutional authority to conduct impeachment proceedings against a former president. The Founders designed the impeachment process as a way to remove officeholders from public office — not an inquest against private citizens,” Cotton said in a statement Wednesday evening.

Cotton’s rationale for not voting to convict Trump once he leaves office will likely become political cover for other GOP senators to vote against a House-passed article of impeachment, even if they think Trump might have committed impeachable offenses.

Cotton in his statement Wednesday evening also argued that the Senate would not be able to conclude a trial of Trump in the next six days.

“The House has passed an article of impeachment against the president, but the Senate under its rules and precedents cannot start and conclude a fair trial before the president leaves office next week,” he said.

The House voted 232 to 197 Wednesday to impeach Trump a second time, with 10 Republican lawmakers voting in favor of the article, which charged Trump with inciting insurrection after a pro-Trump mob overtook the U.S. Capitol last week.

[End]

Cotton’s argument here is of course correct, but ignores the reality that this sham impeachment effort is not about removing Trump from office, but about preventing him from ever holding the office again in the future. So, while current Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will delay his way out of having to take this one up, we should expect new Majority Leader Chuck Schumer to do so when he assumes that job thanks to the fraudulent election on January 20.

As Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan pointed out during his floor speech yesterday, the Democrat/media/Big Tech/UniParty joint effort to remove Trump from office started just 19 minutes into his term on January 20, 2017, and it has never relented since:

“19 minutes, 19 minutes, four years ago on inauguration day, January 20th, 2017, 19 minutes into President Trump’s administration at 12:19 PM, the Washington Post headline was, ‘Campaign to impeach President Trump has begun.'” Jordan said.  “And now with just one week left, they’re still trying. In seven days, there will be a peaceful transfer of power, just like there has been every other time in our country, but Democrats are going to impeach President Trump, again.”

Understand this: Even after Trump leaves office, the effort to persecute him and destroy him will continue until he is either put away in prison or dead. Because the DC Swamp must make an example of him, as a warning to voters to never send anyone like him its way again. Trump threatened the very existence of everything the Swamp and its UniParty members in good standing have built over the last century, placing the entire house of cards in danger of tumbling down. Merely removing him from office was never going to be the end game. The end game is to completely destroy him and his family.

So if you’re thinking that this second impeachment scam will finally bring all the madness and delirium to a blessed end, you’re thinking about it all wrong. This is merely Act II of a theatrical tragedy that has several more acts to run.

That is all.

Dems/Media Ramp Up the Drumbeat to Remove Trump

As I pointed out this morning, the Democrats and their corrupt toadies in the media are moving swiftly now to try to have President Donald Trump removed from office prior to the end of his term in office on January 20th. Over the past few hours, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer have issued calls for the President’s removal via the 25th amendment or impeachment, and China Joe Biden just gave a highly inflammatory speech in which he essentially labeled President Trump and his supporters as traitors:

The 25th amendment route is really the only potential vehicle that could be used to achieve the DC Swamp’s goal of getting rid of Trump before January 20, given that any impeachment/removal effort by the house and senate would consume weeks of time. The trouble with the 25th amendment route is the likelihood that several cabinet officials who would have to support such an effort are considering resigning, a process that already began today. From a story at Fox News:

Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao announced Thursday that she is stepping down from her post, a day after the rioting on Capitol Hill — making her the latest member of the administration to resign over Trump’s conduct, and the first Cabinet member to do so.

“Yesterday, our country experienced a traumatic and entirely avoidable event as supporters of the President stormed the Capitol building following a rally he addressed,” she said in a statement.

“As I’m sure is the case with many of you, it has deeply troubled me in a way that I simply cannot set aside.”

[End]

We can expect to see additional cabinet officials walking away in the days to come. Given that an effort to take out a president using the 25th amendment requires by necessity come continuity of the players involved and the cooperation of Vice President Mike Pence, it seems unlikely to succeed. While Pence might be inclined to do so with all other considerations being equal, he still likely harbors presidential aspirations of his own and has know that any such cooperation would sound the death knell for his political career.

But none of that will prevent Pelosi, Schumer, Biden and the other Swamp creatures from continuing to try. Trump handed them a rope yesterday, and they will certainly do everything they can to try to hang him with it.

That is all.

Wednesday News Roundup: There is a Method to Mitch McConnell’s Evil Madness

PSA for Today: How “concerned” is Susan Collins? – Maine RINO Senator Susan Collins is “concerned” this morning. She’s “concerned” that communist Democrat Bernie Sanders is holding up the senate’s effort to override President Trump’s veto of the massive Defense bill, and she’s “concerned” that the bill that would amp up the COVID relief payout from $600 to $2,000 doesn’t phase the money out fast enough in order to deny any of the payments going to the taxpayers who actually fund 80% of the damn government.

That’s what Susan Collins is “concerned” about this morning. But how “concerned” is Susan Collins? One Twitter user was kind enough to produce this graphic showing the Senator’s facial expressions depending on the magnitude of her “concern” to make it easier for us to understand just exactly how “concerned” she really is:

Image

And that, friends, is your public service announcement for today.

Speaking of that Defense Authorization Bill… – Although Sen. Collins chose to focus her “concern” on him, Sen. Bernie Sanders is not the only member of the U.S. Senate holding it up. Republican Josh Hawley also let it be known that he would not agree to unanimous consent on the vetoed bill until the Senate has moved to approve the higher COVID payments:

Hawley is right: The Defense bill should indeed remain vetoed until it is amended to include repeal of Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, or both houses of Congress act to approve the COVID Relief legislation introduced late yesterday by Mitch McConnell, which does include a repeal provision. McConnell had killed a stand-alone relief bill earlier in the day, setting off predictable howls of outrage from all sectors of the DC Swamp.

The Swamp hates McConnell’s bill because the Swamp, which has become a wholly-0wned subsidiary of Big Tech and the ChiComs, loves Section 230, and it also detests the provision in McConnell’s bill that would establish a commission to “study” voter fraud during the 2020 elections. My goodness, does the Swamp hate that stuff.

McConnell, on the other hand, doesn’t give a tinker’s damn if any of this stuff is passed into law. He couldn’t care less personally about COVID relief; is himself firmly in the pocket of Big Tech; and has not uttered a word of concern over the past two months about the blatantly stolen presidential election. McConnell also dearly wants the Defense Authorization Act (DAA) to pass into law, and thus will never agree to attach Section 230 repeal to it.

And there’s the other thing to understand about McConnell: He knows most of the members of the U.S. Senate hate at least two of the three provisions contained in his bill and will never vote to approve them in stand-alone legislation. So, what better way to kill higher COVID payments and Section 230 repeal than to combine them in a package with this commission on voter fraud, and use his position as Senate Majority Leader to ensure that this is the only bill containing any of these provisions that the Senate will consider.

He is banking on the calculation that his combined bill will go down in flames and leave members like Hawley, a pro-Defense conservative, little choice but to approve the DAA over President Trump’s veto or put the Pentagon in a bind.

So, if you spent most of yesterday wondering just what in the hell McConnell was doing, well, now you know the method to his madness. Whether you approve of him or not, Cocaine Mitch is a pure genius at using Senate process to his advantage.

But, but, but… what about the Georgia runoff elections? – The other thing you have to understand about McConnell is that he really doesn’t give much of a damn if he is in the majority or the minority. He’s going to make his money either way, and he only has to work half as hard to do that if he is in the minority.

Thus, Cocaine Mitch had a deaf ear to all those screams from conservatives that his machinations in the Senate would undermine the ability of Republicans Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue to win their runoff elections and preserve the GOP’s Senate majority. Mitch just doesn’t much care about that. He has been the Majority Leader multiple times now, and he has also been the Minority Leader multiple times now. He just doesn’t really care which it is – just point him to which palatial office he gets to occupy in the Capitol Building for the next two years come January, and he will adjust his scheming accordingly.

Again, you don’t have to approve of what McConnell does and how he operates – I certainly don’t. But to do have to understand why he does what he does in order to understand what is really happening in the Senate on any given day. It may be evil genius, but it is pure genius.

Today’s Required Reading – Today’s Required Reading is a piece by Glenn Greenwald at Substack titled “The Threat of Authoritarianism in the U.S. is Very Real, and Has Nothing To Do With Trump“.

Greenwald, who is a nominal liberal but only in the traditional sense of that word, brilliantly lays out the scope and magnitude of the threat that Big Tech represents to the survival of our Republic. Here’s an excerpt from the long-ish piece just to whet your whistle.:

Asserting that Donald Trump is a fascist-like dictator threatening the previously sturdy foundations of U.S. democracy has been a virtual requirement over the last four years to obtain entrance to cable news Green Rooms, sinecures as mainstream newspaper columnists, and popularity in faculty lounges. Yet it has proven to be a preposterous farce.

In 2020 alone, Trump had two perfectly crafted opportunities to seize authoritarian power — a global health pandemic and sprawling protests and sustained riots throughout American cities — and yet did virtually nothing to exploit those opportunities. Actual would-be despots such as Hungary’s Viktor Orbán quickly seized on the virus to declare martial law, while even prior U.S. presidents, to say nothing of foreign tyrants, have used the pretext of much less civil unrest than what we saw this summer to deploy the military in the streets to pacify their own citizenry.

But early in the pandemic, Trump was criticized, especially by Democrats, for failing to assert the draconian powers he had, such as commandeering the means of industrial production under the Defense Production Act of 1950, invoked by Truman to force industry to produce materials needed for the Korean War. In March, The Washington Post reported that “Governors, Democrats in Congress and some Senate Republicans have been urging Trump for at least a week to invoke the act, and his potential 2020 opponent, Joe Biden, came out in favor of it, too,” yet “Trump [gave] a variety of reasons for not doing so.” Rejecting demands to exploit a public health pandemic to assert extraordinary powers is not exactly what one expects from a striving dictator.

A similar dynamic prevailed during the sustained protests and riots that erupted after the killing of George Floyd. While conservatives such as Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AK), in his controversial New York Times op-ed, urged the mass deployment of the military to quell the protesters, and while Trump threatened to deploy them if governors failed to pacify the riots, Trump failed to order anything more than a few isolated, symbolic gestures such as having troops use tear gas to clear out protesters from Lafayette Park for his now-notorious walk to a church, provoking harsh criticism from the right, including Fox News, for failing to use more aggressive force to restore order.

Queen Nancy Personifies the Democrat Party’s Contempt for Ordinary Americans

So, why do we care where Queen Nancy gets her hair done? – The answer to that is simple, isn’t it? It’s because she has been one of the loudest Democrat voices over the last six months lecturing the little people of America to stay locked up in their homes and only venture out when wearing a mask. She’s been one of the most ardent fans of the lockdowns mandated by despicable Democrat governors like her step-nephew Gavin Newsom, putting millions of little people out of work and shuttering hundreds of thousands of businesses.

Even worse than her act of intentionally violating nephew Gavin’s lockdown/mask orders on Sunday by intimidating a single mother salon owner to open her shuttered business just for her decripit, stringy mane was Queen Nancy’s response to getting caught. She couldn’t lower herself to do the simple thing: To admit her wrongdoing and ask to be forgiven. Instead, she haughtily claimed at a press conference to having been “set up” and demanded that the salon owner she had intimidated apologize to her.

Nancy Pelosi says her visit to a hair salon was a 'setup' - Los Angeles Times

This would seem a small matter were it not so perfectly emblematic of the dismissive stance taken towards ordinary Americans not just by Queen Nancy and her despicable fellow Democrats, but many Republicans who fester in the DC Swamp as well.

It is a sad fact of America’s current state of being that, aside from President Donald Trump, several members of his cabinet and senior advisory staff and a handful of members of congress, almost the entirety of the District of Columbia has become hostile territory. About 95% of the national news media is supportive of that contempt for the American people. Even worse, the Democrat Party funds two different domestic terrorist groups – Antifa and BLM – whose operatives travel the country burning and looting vast swaths of Democrat-controlled cities at will, knowing the Democrat mayors will not allow the police to properly deal with them.

Here’s a prime example of these terrorists acting with impunity in Washington, DC just a few hours before this was written:

The police can’t act because the Mayor won’t allow it. The Mayor isn’t home, so she couldn’t care less about the disturbance and threat these thugs are creating for her neighbors. You think you’re safe in your home because your town has ordinances that designate this to be criminal behavior? Better check to see which political party your mayor is affiliated with, because you might be surprised to discover exactly how unsafe you really are.

The Democrat Party also has an online army, the social media outrage mob that attacks, doxxes and cancels anyone the Democrats point their gnarly fingers towards. The single mother salon owner, Erica Kious, made an appearance on Tucker Carlson’s show last night. She told Carlson that Nephew Gavin’s lockdown order has caused her to lose 60% of her clients and most of her stylists and that her business is dead.

Even worse, she told Carlson that she will have to leave San Francisco after being attacked by the Democrat outrage mob on social media with the most vile and disgusting kinds of death threats imaginable.

It’s a disgrace. This is behavior that no civilized society should allow, but that’s the whole point: The Democrat Party is working hard to ensure that America loses its status as a civilized society.

See, it would be impossible to “transform” a free nation of 330 million people who exist as a cohesive unit, a people who share common values, a common outlook and common goals. It is far, far easier to foment a Marxist-style revolution within a population that is completely divided among itself, shares no common values or goals and is already assaulting one another online and actively attacking one another in the streets.

Every goal the Democrat Party has pursued over the past half-century has been designed to divide the American population along class, race and religious lines. They’ve used education policy for this, they’ve used tax policy for this, they’ve used civil rights policy for this, they’ve used housing policies and healthcare policies, immigration polices and foreign policy for this. Hell, they’ve even used energy and environmental policy to advance their divisive goals.

Democrats like Nancy Pelosi now believe that they are on the cusp of consolidating that half century of hard work in this year’s election. Her contempt for and hostility towards Erica Kious is just the manifestation of the way she feels towards all of us.

In their path stands a single obstacle: Donald J. Trump. He’s it. He is all the rest of America has.

You give this woman a majority in the House and Joe Biden/Kamala Harris in the White House, you will not enjoy the result.

That is all.

Kanye West Provides Details, and He Will Have an Impact

After tweeting out news of his intent to run for the presidency this fall on Sunday, rapper Kanye West sat down for what Steve Forbes says was a 4-hour interview with reporter Randall Lane. In the exhausive interview, West provides all the details about his reasons for running, his views about President Donald Trump and Joe Biden, the fact that he believes he has been chosen by God to lead the country and his belief that a COVID-19 vaccine would be the biblical “Mark of the Beast.”

The article on the interview can be found in full at this link.

Go read it – you’ll be glad you did, regardless of your views about Mr. West.

And here’s the thing about this: Whether you take Kanye seriously or consider his candidacy to be a joke, you should not doubt that, if he really does choose to mount a campaign this year, he will have a significant impact on the ultimate outcome.

As you watch the DC insider talking heads on your television assure you that it’s all just a joke, that West is not at all serious, that he will end his lark in a few weeks, and how could anyone imagine that Kim Kardashian West could ever become First Lady, remember that those exact same talking heads made the exact same dismissive comments in 2015 about Donald Trump and Melania Trump in the weeks after he announced his own candidacy.

One quote from West in this interview really stands out to me: “I’m not saying Trump’s in my way, he may be a part of my way. And Joe Biden? Like come on man, please. You know? Obama’s special. Trump’s special. We say Kanye West is special. America needs special people that lead. Bill Clinton? Special. Joe Biden’s not special.”

Whether we want to recognize it or not, America’s presidential politics have dramatically shifted, and that shift started with Bill Clinton’s candidacy in 1992. Clinton’s victories that year over 30-year DC veteran George HW Bush and four years later over 30-year DC veteran Bob Dole started a shift away from campaigns in which some old hand of the DC establishment roams around the country giving boring speeches detailing his 30-point plans to address every imaginable issue.

That’s what Elizabeth Warren attempted to do during the Democrat primaries, and we saw how well that worked out for her.

Clinton didn’t do that. Clinton was all about talking points and image – he had no more than 5 overarching messages composing 25 words or less that he repeated throughout his campaign, over and over and over again. Much of his campaign was based on pushing his image of being young, good-looking, a carouser with women and a guy who played the saxophone on the Tonight Show. To the extent he actually addressed issues, he lied through his teeth about them, and that only made him more of a bad boy who was sexually appealing to the women, who voted overwhelmingly for him.

Obama was all about Roman columns and huge crowds in big stadiums repeating nostrums about “hope and change” and promising to “transform this country,” a line we now see the pathetic 50-year DC hack Biden attempting to parrot from his basement.

Then came Trump, a complete outsider who had never sought a public office in his entire life. Trump didn’t have a detailed plan to address a single issue, other than to build a wall on our southern border. What he did have was image: The image of being a wildly-successful real estate developer, the image of being the guy who spend a decade saying “You’re fired!” on NBC, the image of being a bad boy who had gone through three wives. And, like Obama and Clinton before him, he knew how to communicate in terms that common, ordinary Americans understand.

That’s what our presidential politics are today. We don’t have to like it: It just is.

Democrat voters knee-jerked back to the old DC veteran Biden not because he’s who they really want, but because pollsters and party leaders kept telling them that Biden had the best chance of beating Trump. But ultimately, Biden is Bob Dole without Dole’s sense of humor and status as a war hero. He is not going to be our next president.

If you don’t think Kanye West will have tremendous appeal to many independent voters and tons of Black voters, then you really do need to pay more attention to what has been happening in our country over the last 28 years.

That is all.

Sen. Tom Cotton Details Democrat Depravity Since the Corrupt Media Won’t Do It

The Evening Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

You seriously could never make this stuff up. – In a series of Tweets this afternoon, GOP Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas listed the absurd list of Democrat demands that are holding up the crucial stimulus bill. Below is the text of those Tweets:

Families and businesses need help now to survive the China virus pandemic. But @SpeakerPelosi walked away from negotiations to write her own bill, full of absurd provisions completely unrelated to the crisis at hand. Here’s what Speaker Pelosi is demanding while Americans suffer:

1. Corporate pay statistics by race and race statistics for all corporate boards at companies receiving assistance

2. Bailing out all current debt of postal service

3. Required early voting

4. Required same day voter registration

5. 10k bailout for student loans

6. For companies accepting assistance, 1/3 of board members must be chosen by workers

7. Provisions on official time for union collective bargaining

8. Full offset of airline emissions by 2025

9. Greenhouse gas statistics for individual flights

10. Retirement plans for community newspaper employees

11. $15 minimum wage at companies receiving assistance

12. Permanent paid leave at companies receiving assistance

The Democrats see an opportunity in this crisis. Not to help the American people, but to hold an emergency relief bill hostage until they get their radical wish list. How long will Arkansans and Americans across the country have to wait?

[End]

How long, indeed?

Naturally, no one in the corrupt news media is accurately reporting the Democrats’ despicable laundry list of political demands. Thus, cowardly Republicans will almost certainly capitulate to some or all of them.

This is the DC Swamp at work.

Just thought you’d like to know.

UPDATE: Watch Ted Cruz go off on the Democrats on the floor of the Senate. It is epic:

Resurgent Biden Proves That Trump Changed Presidential Politics Forever

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

A billion dollars just doesn’t buy what it used to buy. – Think about this for a second: Between them, billionaires Tom Steyer and Michael Bloomberg just combined to pour right at a billion dollars of their own personal fortunes into what became two of the most spectacularly failed primary campaigns in American history.

Both men hired massive staffs of hundreds – with Bloomberg, it was thousands – of people who were supposed to be the best and brightest minds in the campaign professional cottage industry. They both paid hundreds of millions of dollars to the cream of the crop of advertising agencies and polling companies and social media outfits to produce slick ads and websites for their campaigns, filled with the latest messages that were sure to appeal to the maximum possible numbers of voters.

Both billionaires literally stuffed the pockets of local and national television channels, along with radio stations and web presences across the spectrum of the nation. Their ads were ubiquitous: At one point in January, I clicked on a link to a story at the Los Angeles Times, and literally every one of the 15 or so ads on the landing page had been bought by Michael Bloomberg. It became impossible to watch a 30-minute sitcom without seeing either Bloomberg or Steyer – or both – in multiple commercial breaks. At times, their ads ran back-t0-back-to-back.

It was, frankly, exhausting.

And what did these two men get for their trouble? What measure of success did they buy with their billion dollars of political spending? According to NBC News, in the only measure that actually matters in a nominating race, the delegate count, Bloomberg secured a grand total of 48 delegates, while Steyer came up with a big, fat zero.

Steyer and Bloomberg aren’t the only examples of big-money campaigns flaming out in recent history, i.e., since Donald Trump came along. Hillary Clinton was able to spend $2 billion on her presidential bid in 2016, outspending candidate Trump by a 3 to 1 margin, and still managed to lose. As I discussed in yesterday’s Campaign Update, Jeb! Bush frittered away roughly $300 million in the GOP primary process and failed to win a single delegate.

Both Clinton and Bush organized the exact same sort of traditional big-money campaigns that Bloomberg and Steyer did, hiring all the best people and ad agencies and social media and polling firms. The only thing all that money brought to them in the end was the stench of desperation and miserable failure.

Meanwhile, Trump’s campaign consisted of Corey Lewandowski and about a dozen other people. He actively campaigned against the DC-based professional political class, calling them all a part of the DC Swamp that he was coming to Washington to drain. The fact that Trump won by running such an overtly anti-political class campaign is why they all hate him so, and why the few such pros who have chosen to work for Trump have become pariahs among others in their profession.

Now comes this cycle’s Democrat nominating process, and all the candidates who have raised gobs of money only to flame out of the process. And it isn’t just Bloomberg and Steyer: Beto O’Rourke, fresh off spending a whopping $90 million and losing a Texas Senate race in 2018, initially raised tons of cash, only to see his public appeal crash and burn. Kamala Harris was the early favorite of both the corrupt news media and the DC professional political class. She also raised a ton of early cash and she also crashed and burned, flaming out before we even moved into 2020.

Bernie Sanders has consistently led the Democrat field in fundraising, the vast majority of it from small-money contributors. He even managed to become the clear front-runner in the race for about 30 seconds before Joe Biden, his campaign almost dead broke and having been largely written off by all the “experts” just 10 days before, came storming back in South Carolina on Saturday.

Biden then parlayed the momentum out of South Carolina to sweeping wins in 9 of 14 states on Super Tuesday, and is suddenly back in the driver’s seat with a clear path to being able to win the majority of delegates needed to secure the party’s nomination on the first ballot at its July convention in Milwaukee. You haven’t seen any slick, high-dollar Joe Biden ads because he hasn’t had the money to fund them. Biden wasn’t really worried about Steyer and Bloomberg creating a talent shortage in the available professional political class, because he hasn’t had the money to hire any of them anyway.

The reality of the last 10 days is that Joe Biden has been able to dispatch the billionaires and jump back into the clear lead in this race while running essentially the same kind of campaign that Trump ran throughout 2015 and 2016. It’s a campaign based almost purely on earned media and the candidate’s personality.

True, Biden’s personality is not remotely similar to Trump’s, but it doesn’t need to be. Biden is appealing to a completely different subset of the American people than Trump targeted 4 years ago. Trump was messaging to the part of the population that wants to clean out the Swamp. Biden is appealing to voters who want mythical free stuff from the government, and if that means the rehabilitation and perpetuation of the Swamp, they don’t care. Doing that requires a different kind of character and different messages, but the construct of the campaigns are strikingly similar.

The fact of the matter is that Trump has changed the requirements for what it takes to run a successful presidential campaign in modern times and we are seeing that reality play out in real time in this Democrat race for the nomination. While all the “experts” in the DC pundit class are still portraying Sanders as the “outsider” in this race, the truth is that Sanders has run a depressingly conventional campaign filled with slick TV ads, social media buys and a massive paid staff of political pros.

Biden hasn’t done that, but only – and this is key – because he hasn’t been able to raise the money required to fund that kind of campaign. But now, since his big showing on Super Tuesday, the money is suddenly pouring in. With Bloomberg now promising to pour gobs of his own money into Super PACs and other third party efforts supporting Biden, you can now expect the confused former Vice President’s campaign to start bringing in a bunch of ex-Bloomberg staff and, as a result, begin looking a lot like Bloomberg’s campaign – and by extension, just like the Hillary Clinton campaign looked four years ago.

This will happen to Biden because the candidate himself is likely as clueless about the real nature of his recent success as he is about which state he happens to be in on any given day. And you can bet that none of the political pros on his staff are going to put their own jobs in jeopardy by telling him.

In an appearance on Fox News last night, Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway told host Martha MacCallum that she thinks Joe Biden will end up being this year’s Hillary Clinton. She’s exactly right because, having helped to create it, she understands the way Donald Trump has forever changed the nature of our presidential politics.

That is all.

Bombshell: Tucker Carlson Details DC Swamp Syria False Flag

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this #WINNING yet? Are you kidding? – For the third time in the last six days of trading, all three major stock indexes – the Dow, the NASDAQ and the S&P 500 – closed at record highs on Monday. You may or may not care for President Donald Trump, but your 401(k) loves him and his economy.

Tucker Carlson was trending on Twitter when I got up and began my daily news search this morning, so I decided to check out why. What I found was a bombshell report that the Deep State toadies in our fake news media will studiously ignore. It’s a story about how the warmonger lobby in Washington DC almost led our country into a completely unjustified escalation in Syria in April of last year, and how President Donald Trump barely avoided being railroaded into it. Here is a clip of that segment, followed by a transcript:

For all of you who, like me, still like to read stuff, here’s a transcript of Tucker’s remarks:

In spite of repeated efforts to get them out, American troops remain deployed in parts of Syria. If Washington has its way, they will be there until you are old, or even longer. Forever.

But it could be worse. 19 months ago, Washington was demanding that the U.S. government topple the Assad government completely, must do it now. The justification for this was a supposed chemical weapons attack in the town of Duma. Now, no one in Washington had seen the attack. No American had seen it, nobody in congress could tell you what proof existed that the attack had actually taken place, or that Assad’s government was behind it, rather than some other faction – and there were many – involved in the country’s civil war.

But it didn’t matter that there was literally no evidence: Everybody in Washington began agitating for regime change war immediately. Immediately, and especially on the left. Bill Kristol and Max Boot and everyone at MSNBC and CNN – they were completely for it. This show was not for it. We didn’t deny the attack happened, we just told people to be skeptical.

[Plays clip from April 9, 2018]

Universal, bi-partisan agreement on anything is usually the first sign that something deeply unwise is about to happen, if only because there is nobody left to ask skeptical questions. And we should be skeptical of this, starting with the poison gas attack. All the geniuses tell us that Assad killed those children, but do they really know that?

Of course they don’t really know that – they’re making it up. They have no real idea what happened. And now the same people who brought you the dying American middle class, undefended American borders and endless, pointless wars you in countries you could not find on a map are telling the President he’s got to depose Assad for reasons that are both unclear and demonstrably dishonest.

[End clip]

You’ve gotta depose Assad immediately. Wait a second, how did it work when we deposed the last four Arab leaders? And wait a second: Didn’t the Assad government, as evil as it may be, protect all the Christians?

Shut up, they said. You’ve gotta do it now!

Well, fortunately President Trump limited his response to another wave of missile strikes rather than sending U.S. troops in to topple yet another government in the region. But now, it looks like even that response may have not been justified.

Last Spring, the official report of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, which is the group that monitors chemical weapons, said the Duma attack was caused by two chlorine gas canisters that were dropped from an airplane. That would suggest the Assad government was responsible for the attack. Ok.

But then last May, a leaked internal document showed that one of the OPCW’s top analysts disagreed with that conclusion. He thought the canisters were placed by hand, by someone on the ground. Which would make this a completely different event.

This week, WikiLeaks is publishing an email from a member of the OPCW’s fact finding team. That email accuses the organization of altering investigators’ original findings to make evidence of an attack look more conclusive than it actually was.

[Here is a link to the WikiLeaks OPCW Document in question.]

Sound familiar? Yeah, we’ve seen this movie before, with tragic consequences.

Yet another OPCW whistleblower has argued that on-the-ground evidence points against an attack happening at all.

So, in other words, America almost attacked another country, which would have killed untold thousands of people, over an “attack” that may never have happened in the first place. That powerful people may very well be lying about.

Under a different president – and whatever you think of Trump, this is true – under a different president, say, Hillary Clinton, being advised by the Obama foreign policy team – Samantha Power, and a lot of people like Samantha Power with long track records of unwise and indeed stupid decision making – under that administration we probably would have invaded.

[Segment turns to interview with Jonathan Steele, a chief foreign policy correspondent with The Guardian. It repeats the points Tucker just made.]

[End of transcript.]

This is a big deal. This is real news – news of a clear false flag effort by elements in the DC Swamp warmonger lobby to trick a United States president into launching yet another full-scale regime change war in yet another Middle Eastern nation.

Because it is real news, news that reveals even more of Washington’s corrupt establishment, it will be ignored by the mainstream media, since they pretty much all serve as the megaphones for the DC Swamp.

Be glad Donald Trump was your President last April and remains in office today. Because if he wasn’t, we’d have had another steady stream of young American men and women returning home from another God-forsaken Middle Eastern country in body bags for no reason whatsoever over the last 19 months, and no end in sight.

This, in fact, is why Donald Trump was elected in the first place. God bless him and keep him safe.

The Deep State Keeps Revealing Its Ugly Face And The Public Doesn’t Like It

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Polling support for impeachment of President Donald Trump is plummeting, and there is a clear reason why that’s the case. – Nate Silver’s 538 crew has a new report out today about the crashing support for the Democrat impeachment circus. While support remains strong among the Democrats’ demented voter base – which is always, consistently oversampled in these polls by about 10% – it is crashing and burning among independent voters, who have watched Adam Schiff’s clown-show public hearings and didn’t like what they’ve seen.

What did they see in those hearings? They saw a pack of members of America’s diplomatic corps, whining and complaining that the President of the United States was not following the dictates of foreign policy as implemented by the President’s globalist predecessors in office. They saw a bunch of hacks whose loyalties lie less with the American people than with the corruptocrats and oligarchs who control the Ukraine, and who appear to have worked against the interests of the country’s new reformist president, Volodymyr Zelensky.

Deep State skunks helping Deep State skunks, as it were.

The public was also treated to the spectacle of a classic Deep State plant at the National Security Council, a preening, self-aggrandizing anti-Trump Lt. Colonel named Alexander Vindman. Vindman spent his time at the witness table obviously prevaricating and deflecting in order to construct damaging testimony against his Commander-in-Chief. Equally as repulsive and revealing was Vindman’s demand at one point that the Committee’s ranking minority member, Devin Nunes, address him by his military rank rather than respectfully as “Mr. Vindman.”

Add to all that the clownish Ambassador to the European Union, Gordon Sondland, a Jeb! Bush supporter who bought his ambassadorship in the grand DC Swamp tradition. Then toss in the fact that the only two witnesses who clearly weren’t Deep State hacks, Kurt Volker and Tim Morrison – who had been Vindman’s manager at the NSC – had already basically been run out of the diplomatic corps, and the picture presented to the public was one of rampant disloyalty, clownish jealousy and corruption. In other words, just like the public saw at the Department of Justice, pre-William Barr, and still sees at the FBI and in the nation’s intelligence community.

In the days since the public impeachment circus left on its long Thanksgiving holiday recess, the public has been treated to the next episode of the Deep State unmasking itself, this time at the Department of the Navy in the Eddie Gallagher affair, which the Campaign Update chronicled in two separate posts on Sunday. There we found the repulsive spectacle of senior officials at the Pentagon openly defying the clear orders of the Commander-in-Chief, and outright threatening him in the public space.

As repeatedly noted here, Barack Obama spent his 8 years in office in a continuous effort to utterly corrupt every agency, bureau, commission and committee of the federal government, and was very successful in doing so. But this weekend’s shenanigans, which culminated – at least for now – in the unceremonious firing of Navy Secretary Richard Spencer, likely represent the first time that millions of ordinary Americans learned that the corruption is so deeply integrated within our military leadership.

Sadly, the purging of the Swamp snakes at the Pentagon should not end with Spencer. The Commander of the Navy Seals, Admiral Collin Green, engaged in the same defiant behavior as Spencer, and Rear Admiral Charlie Brown, the Navy’s Chief of Information, issued the following statement in the midst of the dustup:

“The Navy follows the lawful orders of the President. We will do so in case of an order to stop the administrative review of SOC Gallagher’s professional qualification. We are aware of the President’s tweet and we are awaiting further guidance.”

The clear implication in that statement is that the President’s tweet ordering the Navy to disband its review board against Gallagher did not amount to a “lawful order.” Which is outrageous. The Commander-in-Chief just issued a pardon to Gallagher a few weeks ago, making his wishes on this matter clearly obvious to everyone.

Spencer claimed on Saturday that he did not consider a tweet to be a “formal order,” but the CinC can make his wishes known in whatever form of communication he prefers. For Spencer and the rest of the Navy brass to convene a review panel to question Gallagher’s status after the President’s pardon was rank insubordination. The pretense that the President’s tweet somehow does not constitute a lawful order borders on open sedition.

As Kurt Schlichter advocates in a great piece on all of this at Townhall.com:

Fire them all.

Then fire their bosses for not having fired them already by the time the president got around to it. And fire their bosses. Fire the whole chain of command and order them all to retire.

Open defiance of the Commander-in-Chief and the sarcastic questioning of his authority in official statements is simply an intolerable situation. The Navy needs a good purging, if for no other reason than to set a good example for the leadership of the other branches of the armed forces.

The good part of all of this is that, the more these Deep State skunks and snakes unmask themselves, the more repulsed the public is by their actions. It has been a really bad couple of weeks for the denizens of the DC Swamp.

That is all.

Politico Lays out the Deep State’s Strategy for Removing Trump From Office

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

It generally isn’t all that hard to know what the hive mind of the Deep State collective is thinking: It’s usually easy to find laid out in detail in one of the reliable coordinating news organs. Most often, the platform of choice is either the New York Times or the Washington Post, but occasionally an alternative is chosen for this duty.

Today’s cooperating fake news platform of choice is the ever-reliable and increasingly transparent Politico, with former Bush/Cheney/McCain adviser Juleanna Glover serving as the nominal author. Under a headline that reads “There’s a Surprisingly Plausible Path to Removing Trump From Office,” Glover lays out a process for the GOP-dominated Senate to remove President Trump from office based on whatever fairy-tale impeachment articles the House sends over to them, by adopting the same hide-the-ball tactics used by Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi.

Such an approach no doubt sounds completely plausible to Ms. Glover and her fellow DC Swamp skunks and snakes, given that they have spent their entire careers devising ways to deceive the American public by hiding the pesky truth from them. After all, that was how both Bushes, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama conducted their entire presidencies for the 28 years between the departure of Ronald Reagan and the inauguration of Donald Trump; So hey, why not do this one more thing that way? If you’re successful, you might get another 28 years of uninterrupted globalist policies, by which time the American Republic would no doubt be well and truly dead.

Ms. Glover’s proposition is both elegant in its simplicity and stunning in its mendacity. Here is the first key passage:

By most everyone’s judgment, the Senate will not vote to remove President Donald Trump from office if the House impeaches him. But what if senators could vote on impeachment by secret ballot? If they didn’t have to face backlash from constituents or the media or the president himself, who knows how many Republican senators would vote to remove?

A secret impeachment ballot might sound crazy, but it’s actually quite possible. In fact, it would take only three senators to allow for that possibility.

See what I mean by elegant simplicity? Hey, it only takes three GOP Senators, and the obvious Usual Suspects are just staring us in the face right now, aren’t they? Those would be the same three GOP senators who refused to sign onto Lindsey Graham’s now-forgotten October resolution demanding the House hold a vote to launch a formal impeachment inquiry, something that still has not actually taken place.

Within a few days of its introduction, Graham’s resolution had received pledges to co-sponsor from 50 of the 53 Republican senators. The three holdouts were as predictable as the sun rising in the East: Mitt Romney, Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins. The three have differing reasons for their disloyalty – Romney is positioning himself to become the GOP’s “savior” should Trump be removed, Collins is up for re-election in 2020 in a very evenly-divided state, and Murkowski is just a classic transactional political skunk trying to leverage the President’s support for her latest energy bill – but the commonality is that they all maintain higher loyalties to their personal interests than to the well-being of the nation.

So, there are your three obvious holdouts, and no one should doubt their willingness to force any removal vote to be hidden from the public. Recognizing the skunkiness of her own proposal, Ms. Glover goes on to offer these senators her thin rationale for hiding the ball from the voting public:

During the last impeachment of a president, Bill Clinton, the rules were hammered out by Democrats and Republicans in a collaborative process, as then Senate leaders Trent Lott and Tom Daschle recently pointed out in a Washington Post op-ed. The rules passed unanimously. That’s unlikely this time, given the polarization that now defines our politics. McConnell and his fellow Republicans are much more likely to dictate the rules with little input from Democrats.

But, according to current Senate procedure, McConnell will still need a simple majority—51 of the 53 Senate Republicans—to support any resolution outlining rules governing the trial. That means that if only three Republican senators were to break from the caucus, they could block any rule they didn’t like. (Vice President Mike Pence can’t break ties in impeachment matters.) Those three senators, in turn, could demand a secret ballot and condition their approval of the rest of the rules on getting one.

Some might say transparency in congressional deliberations and votes is inviolable, and it’s true that none of the previous Senate impeachments have been conducted via secret ballot. But the Senate’s role in an impeachment is analogous to a U.S. jury, where secret ballots are often used. When Electoral College gridlock has resulted in the House picking the president—the House elected Thomas Jefferson in 1800 and John Quincy Adams in 1824—that vote has been secret. And, of course, when citizens vote for president, they do so in private.

See what I mean by stunning mendacity? ‘Yeah, every other impeachment/removal effort has been conducted above-board in and in public, but this one is different because…well because that’s what the DC Swamp wants, so let’s make up a bunch of irrelevant crap analogies to try to justify it. If all of our talking heads on TV will repeat these talking points often enough for long enough, why, the Big Lie principle devised by the Nazis ensure us they will eventually be accepted by the public as truth. Hey, it’s worked like a charm with “global warming,” hasn’t it?’

Then there’s this:

There’s already been some public speculation that, should the Senate choose to proceed with a secret ballot, Trump would be found guilty. GOP strategist Mike Murphy said recently that a sitting Republican senator had told him 30 of his colleagues would vote to convict Trump if the ballot were secret. Former Senator Jeff Flake topped that, saying he thought 35 Republican senators would vote that way.

Oh, hey, let’s trot out former Jeb Bush campaign adviser Mike Murphy and 18% public approval rating Jeff Flake – two of the most pathetic abject political failures of the Trump era – to lend further credibility to our evil plan. That should work!

Holy crap. You could never make these people up.

But wait, there’s more! Next, Glover, on behalf of the Deep State arrayed against him, literally advises the President of the United States to just give up and negotiate a deal. I’m not kidding:

While it’s unlikely Trump would support a secret ballot, it’s possible he might actually benefit from one in the long run. If a secret ballot is agreed on and Trump knows the prospect of impeachment is near, he could then focus his energies on his post-presidency. Once he leaves office, Trump faces multiple possible criminal investigations, at the federal, state and local level. He almost certainly knows that a President Pence could pardon him only for federal crimes. To avoid the prospect of serving time, Trump could negotiate a collective settlement—just as the Sackler family has done in the OxyContin matter—with all the jurisdictions now running independent investigations into his activities. Trump’s impeachment, followed by a quick resignation, might appease Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance’s and New York Attorney General Letitia James’s thirst for justice, making them more likely to agree to a deal.

Don’t you just love how this DC Swamp hack tosses in the names of Cyrus Vance, Jr., who refused to even investigate myriad accusations made against Harvey Weinstein – who happened to be a big campaign contributor – and Letitia James, who is the process of having her incompetence exposed in her fake case against ExxonMobil, to somehow bolster her case? Why, it’s almost as if the writer is as corrupt and incompetent as the prosecutors. Go figure.

But Glover isn’t done yet: There’s one more threat that must be issued to the key potential roadblock in her Deep State daydream:

Even McConnell might privately welcome the prospect of a secret ballot. He has always been intently focused on maintaining his Republican majority in the Senate. Trump’s approval numbers continue to languish, and support for impeachment has been rising. McConnell himself, facing reelection next year, has an approval rating of just 18 percent in Kentucky, not to mention that the Republican governor there just suffered a stunning upset in last week’s election. All of which suggests McConnell might warm to the possibility that he and his caucus could avoid a public up-or-down vote in defense of behavior by the president that’s looking increasingly indefensible.

Translated: ‘Hey, we stole the governor’s election for the Democrats when every other statewide office on the ballot ended up being a GOP landslide. How hard do you think it would be for us to get a Democrat elected to your senate seat, dude?’

So there you have it, folks: The DC Swamp strategery in a nutshell, complete with the most un-American propositions possible and barely-veiled threats to the key players. Of course, what Glover and her compatriots fail to consider is that this is not a strategy for saving the GOP from Trump: It is in fact a strategy that, if adopted, will inevitably result in the literal death of the Republican Party.

Make no mistake about it, if a Republican-majority Senate chaired by a Republican-appointed Chief Justice ends up removing Donald John Trump from the presidency based on the utterly absurd rationale being pushed by the Democrat/media clown show in the House, the President’s base supporters – who currently make up about 90% of the entire GOP base – will literally dismantle the party, brick by corrupt brick. There would be no going back from such a betrayal of the 63 million Americans who elected him in the first place and the millions more who have jumped onto the Trump Train since that glorious day three years ago.

In spite of that clear and unarguable reality, Ms. Glover, mouthpiece for the Deep State, ends her piece with this:

A secret ballot might get Trump out of office sooner than everyone expects: The sooner any three Republican senators make clear that they will support nothing short of a secret ballot, the sooner Trump realizes his best course could be to cut a deal, trading his office for a get-out-of-jail-free card—a clean slate from prosecutors—just as Vice President Spiro Agnew did. And if Trump were to leave office before the end of the year, there might even be enough time for Republicans to have a vibrant primary fight, resulting in a principled Republican as the nominee.

That, folks, is pretty much the most absurd thing you will ever read. This woman has a bright future writing fairy tales.

But don’t kid yourselves into thinking these people will not try to go down this road anyway. If you see Sen. McConnell start talking about how a secret ballot is just peachy-keen with him, you will know the fix is in.

That is all.

President Trump Being Booed at Nationals Park Was a Great Moment for America

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

The booing of an American president at the World Series game that happened in Washington, DC Sunday night is not a negative for the rest of America, but a positive. It is especially a positive for those of us who live out here in what the east-and-west-coast elites derisively refer to as “flyover country,” that great, vast middle 80% of the lower 48 states that turned into a veritable sea of red on Election Day, 2016.

You may wonder why the booing of a sitting POTUS by any crowd could ever be seen as a positive thing, but that’s because you’re likely unclear about who was doing the booing. First, let’s go back to this laughable contention about the crowds at Nationals Park put out by the Democrat activists at Politico Monday morning:

Nats Park is perhaps one of the only gathering places in town that draws Republicans and Democrats in equal measure — but his box was all red.

Now, let’s remember that in the 2016 presidential election, the District of Columbia, home to Nationals Park, favored Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump by a 96% to 4% margin. And no, that is not a typo.  NINETY-SIX PERCENT of D.C. voters cast their lot with the Pantsuit Princess.

Thus, the contention that Nationals Park somehow “draws Republicans and Democrats in equal measure” is exactly as I described it in this morning’s Campaign Update: A smelly load of abject horse manure. If nothing else, the arithmetic simply does not support the specious assertion.

But it’s even more than that. See, the seats at Nationals Park are very expensive, and thus aren’t mainly occupied by just any old D.C. residents. As is the case in any city hosting a professional sports franchise, a very large percentage of those very expensive seats are purchased by corporations and wealthy folks who have business interests in the local community.

In Washington, DC, all of those corporations and business interests employ lobbyists who determine how those very expensive tickets are doled out. Guess who they go to? They go to the people being lobbied, and to the professional peers and colleagues of the lobbyists.

Thus, the crowd that roundly booed the President of the United States of America at Sunday night’s Astros/Nationals game was largely made up of the DC professional political class; the lobbyists, the lawyers, the congressional and campaign staffers, the company executives, the advertising geeks and digital media geeks and all the myriad other professionals who make their livings making sure that the DC Swamp remains very, very swampy.

In other words, the very group of people who Candidate Donald Trump rendered utterly irrelevant throughout the 2016 campaign. Donald Trump’s presidency is a threat to that entrenched DC permanent political class – is it any wonder then that they hate him so much that they chant “Lock him up!” when appears before them at a World Series game?

Many fans of the President are angry over that insult, but they should all be rejoicing. Because that booing was as clear a confirmation we could ever hope to receive that the guy we elected in 2016 is continuing to focus on doing what he was elected to do: Drain the DC Swamp. Threatened people boo. Angry people boo.

Those of us who live out here in the vast Red middle of this great nation want the folks who make up the preponderance of that Sunday night crowd to feel perpetually threatened and angry. It’s when that particular class of people stands up and cheers for a President that we should be concerned.

Sunday, the day the leader of ISIS was killed by a U.S. military operation, was a great day for America. The reaction the President received at Nationals Park only made it that much better.

That is all.

Boom: Barr and Durham Shift to Criminal Investigation

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

And just like that, stuff got real. –  That squeaky noise you heard early Thursday evening was the sound of sphincters tightening in unison all over the DC Swamp. That was when news leaked that Attorney General William Barr has authorized U.S. Attorney John Durham to shift gears.

What has to this point been an administrative inquiry into the origins of the Obama-era efforts by the coup cabal to spy on the Trump Campaign and Transition team will now become a full criminal inquiry. As the New York Times reluctantly reported, the move gives Durham and his team of prosecutors and investigators “the power to subpoena for witness testimony and documents, to convene a grand jury and to file criminal charges.”

It’s actually even better than that, enough to make the Deep State toadies at the Times and the rest of the fake news media want to cry.  Durham can in fact convene not just one grand jury, but as many grand juries as he wants and needs to convene. Better yet, because Durham is based in Connecticut, his grand juries can be convened there, outside of the 90% Democrat snake pit of Washington, DC.

Naturally, the Times, in its role as the chief propaganda organ for the Deep State, structured its story on the talking points of the Coup Cabal’s prevailing narrative. Here are the key outtakes:

The opening of a criminal investigation is likely to raise alarms that Mr. Trump is using the Justice Department to go after his perceived enemies. Mr. Trump fired James B. Comey, the F.B.I. director under whose watch agents opened the Russia inquiry, and has long assailed other top former law enforcement and intelligence officials as partisans who sought to block his election.

Mr. Trump has made clear that he sees the typically independent Justice Department as a tool to be wielded against his political enemies. That view factors into the impeachment investigation against him, as does his long obsession with the origins of the Russia inquiry.

This is all the standard nonsense. Trump has upset the DC Swamp way of doing things by being a Republican President who actually fights back when attacked. The Times and their fellow media toadies demand that Republican presidents remain silent and just take it when the DC Swamp and its propaganda machine rises to assault them.

Of course President Trump fired the utterly corrupt James Comey when he found out that Comey had spied on him and was still attempting to entrap him. Of course President Trump has lambasted Comey, Brennan and other former “top law enforcement officials,” since he knows that they were the leaders of Spygate and the neverending coup. Sure, George W. Bush and his Poppy never pushed back when the Swamp attacked – they were part of the Swamp themselves, as was Nixon.

The final 15 or so paragraphs of the slimy Times piece is a point-by-point recital of the coup plotters’ preferred narrative, no doubt dictated personally the lead plotters themselves. If it sounds like a story that was written by the Cabal’s defense lawyers, that’s because it most likely was.

You should read it just to become familiar with what you’re going to hear from Democrat talking heads and fake hosts all over cable television in the coming weeks. They will all recite passages from these paragraphs word-for-word, like the sock puppets they really are.

You can also expect the media/Democrat effort to smear Barr, which has already been underway for months, to now shift into high gear, and expand to also include Durham. The Deep State’s Alinsky-based model always requires the character assassination of anyone who rises as a threat, so that’s a given.

Interestingly, the news about this becoming a criminal investigation came right on the heels of DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz telling congress in a letter Thursday afternoon that he is finally, at long last, entering the final phases of getting his report on FISA abuse ready for public release. Horowitz had announced the completion of his report on September 13, and apparently has waited all the time since for the internal DOJ/FBI classification review to be completed.

As reported by the Washington Examiner, “Horowitz said the process is “ongoing” and “consistent with our usual practice when an OIG report involves classified information.” The inspector general said he expects the final report to “be released publicly with few redactions” and does not “anticipate a need to prepare and issue separate classified and public versions of the report.”

Horowitz also said that the report is “lengthy” and “concerns sensitive national security and law enforcement matters,” which could mean a lot of different things. And hey, after taking all this absurd amount of time to complete, the damn thing had better be “lengthy.”

It is also interesting to note that both of these announcements come right on cue, as the Deep State’s favorite fake news organizations have been mounting a furious drive to preach the Coup Cabal’s gospel on a daily basis, as we have detailed this week at the Campaign Update. Obviously, the Brennans and Comeys and Clappers and Strzoks of the world know what’s coming and are doing their best to set their narrative in place before the actual truth starts coming out and indictments start flying.

At least, we hope indictments will ultimately start flying. The wheels of justice do turn slowly when the process is meticulously followed, but man, this has been like waiting for a family of turtles to cross I-10 in Houston during rush hour traffic.

Who knows what it will all ultimately produce, but as of this morning, there’s some reason to hope that at least some of the Coup Cabal plotters will ultimately face justice for their betrayals of this country.

That is all.

Tulsi Gabbard, the DC Swamp’s New Heretic

Today’s Campaign Update, Part III
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Burn the heretic! Burn the heretic! – So, what is really going on with this effort – detailed here yesterday – by the Democrat/media/RINO Axis of Propaganda to brand Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard as a “Russian agent”? No doubt, many readers can already guess, right?

This is the Axis of Propaganda, which has saddled our nation with a three-year neverending coup effort, already building the foundation for its excuse for losing the 2020 election, in which they know they have little chance of preventing President Donald Trump from winning re-election to a second term. That foundation for excusing the loss – by blaming it all on the Russians one more time – will then serve as the kicking off point and justification for another four years of neverending coup efforts.

Yes, it’s all incredibly tiresome and futile, but this is all these people have left at this point. If you wonder why they keep doing this kind of thing, you have to understand that to the denizens of the DC Swamp, this is a literal fight for survival. President Trump isn’t just upsetting the apple cart, every action he takes is a direct assault on their corrupt way of life.

In Syria, Trump is destroying their foundation for never-ending Middle East wars, from which many trillion of dollars of graft and no-bid contracts have flowed to all the influence peddlers and hangers-on.

By implementing policies that have helped the oil and gas industry make our country more energy secure, Trump has helped destroy any compelling reason why our country must remain entangled in all of the Middle East’s 2,000 year-old conflicts between various religions and sects.

By investigating the actions of Quid Pro Joe and his ne’er-do-well son Hunter, Trump is exposing the kind of influence game that thousands of DC Swamp denizens spend their lives aspiring to become a part of.

By working to end the last 30 years of trade deals that have allowed China and other nations across the globe to drain America’s wealth, Trump is upsetting the 30-year effort to end America’s status as the world’s lone true superpower.

By investigating the origins of the FBI/CIA/State Department spying efforts against the Trump Campaign, Trump threatens to expose the Obama-era corruption that not only turned most federal departments into mob-like enterprises, but leads all the way up to the Obama White House.

By mentioning Crowd Strike and the DNC server on his call with Ukraine President Zelensky, Trump signaled that he knows full well where and how the neverending coup germinated.

And by doing everything he can to secure the southern border with Mexico, Trump exposes the globalist attempt to turn our nation into a classic socialist two-tiered society, one with a ruling class consisting of a few million and an easily-manipulated and controlled permanent underclass consisting of several hundred million.

If you understand these motivations by the Axis of Propaganda, you realize that the assault on Gabbard, a Major in the Hawaii National Guard who has served two full tours in the Middle East, is simply a shot across the bow signaling that the Swamp hasn’t surrendered, and its leaders are gearing up for another four years of the same old bullsh*t.

Gabbard has made herself a target due to her refusal to support the Axis of Propaganda’s narrative that President Trump is somehow an illegitimate president. She regularly admits that Trump did win the 2016 election fair and square in her stump speeches, and likely set off this week’s round of attacks on her character when she said it again during the Tuesday night debate. This is the main reason why I frequently refer to her as the only truly interesting person in the Democrat field – she’s the only actual independent voice on that debate stage.

In the world of the neverending Middle East warmongers like the Pantsuit Princess, anyone who favors the Trump policy of getting the U.S. out off all of these Islam-driven conflicts automatically becomes someone to be demonized as a tool of Vladimir Putin. The Axis of Propaganda has been running a social media effort to demonize Gabbard throughout 2019, and her statement that Trump really won in 2016 during the debate appears to have been the catalyst for the Coughing Crook to make things more public on Wednesday evening.

On domestic policy, Gabbard is just another Democrat socialist dedicated to wasting trillions of dollars every year on programs that have no chance of actually working. But on foreign and military policy, she is a DC Swamp heretic, someone whose reputation and career must be destroyed before she gains enough political influence and power to become an existential threat to the utterly corrupt way of life all the Swamp skunks and snakes have built for themselves.

Gabbard was on Tucker Carlson’s show Thursday night giving her side of this story. It’s a pretty strong interview and worth taking the 5 minutes to watch:

There is literally zero chance that Gabbard could ever become the nominee of the Democrat Party in 2020 – the Swamp rats who control the party now would rather destroy the party before they let that happen. But she is, at least on some matters, that rarest of rare animals in Washington today: A Democrat who is actually willing to tell the truth about the DC Swamp and the real nature of Hillary Clinton:

Image may contain: 1 person, text

For that alone, she deserves our respect.

That is all.

Pelosi, Schumer and Hoyer Stage Another DC Swamp-Kabuki Theater Act

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Elijah Cummings died. – I have nothing nice to say about him, so I will say nothing at all.  Here’s a link to the AP article about his death, which of course is a thoroughly one-sided, glowing review of his life. Somehow the Republic and Baltimore will survive.

San Fran Nan is sick. – At least, according to President Donald Trump, who issued the tweet below after Pelosi blew up yet again in a White House meeting and staged a very theatrical walkout along with Chuck Schumer and Steny Hoyer:

Hey, didn’t we already know this is a very sick – as in mentally deranged – woman? Pretty sure most of us did, and Schumer and Hoyer should be – but won’t be – roundly condemned for helping her stage this latest bit of DC Swamp Kabuki theater.

As a partial, taunting payback for this latest staged event, the President followed later with this hilarious tweet:

Naturally, the Democrat activist press corps slanted its reporting in coordination with the Democrat narrative, featuring Schumer’s laughable contention that “the Speaker kept her cool.” But as you can clearly see in the clip below, Pelosi is visibly shaking, a fake smile pasted onto her face and having a very hard time keeping her constantly-loose dentures in her mouth while Schumer was ranting.

For their part, the Democrats couldn’t even keep their own story straight. Schumer claimed President Trump called Pelosi a “third-rate politician,” while Pelosi said Trump had in fact called her a “third-grade politician.” Seriously? That’s why you walk out of what was supposedly such a crucially important bipartisan briefing on the goings-on in Syria right now?

And hell’s bells, regardless of which insult the President may or may not have uttered, everyone on the face of the earth knows that Pelosi is a shameless political hack, and being one has made her a fabulously wealthy person. So, what’s the big deal? Own it, Nan – being a despicable political hack is what defines your entire life.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy spoke to the press gaggle later, after participating in the full meeting, saying that “”They left the meeting, other Democrats stayed and we had the most normal meeting you could ever have that was productive with the general of the joint chiefs, the secretary of defense and the president talking about how do we keep the homeland safe.”

Oh.

In case any of you might be inclined to take what the Democrats staged yesterday as a serious, spur-of-the-moment fit of pique, remember that this is not the first time they’ve created this exact scenario as a means of trying to fire up their lunatic Twitter Outrage Mob base. This is just another Alinsky-style event, a part of their ongoing coup d’etat effort designed to try to lower the President’s public approval ratings by portraying him as an unstable madman occupying the White House.

It is no coincidence that this piece of choreography came on the same day that the President’s approval rating in the Rasmussen survey once again reached 50%. It also came just a day after Pelosi had to cancel a planned formal impeachment vote of the full House because she simply doesn’t have the votes in favor of making that move, and if she forces it, she dooms her 35 or so Democrats who represent traditionally-GOP districts.

It also took place on a day during which news came that Adam Schiff’s Soviet-style basement interrogations of witnesses like Ukraine Envoy Kurt Volker are not yielding the results the Democrat coup plotters have hoped for:

[excerpt from interrogation]

Schiff persisted. “And when that suspension of aid became known to that country, to Ukraine, it would be all the more weighty to consider what the president had asked of them, wouldn’t it?”

“So again, congressman, I don’t believe — ” Volker began.

“It’s a pretty straightforward question,” Schiff said.

“But I don’t believe the Ukrainians were aware that the assistance was being held up — ”

“They became aware of it,” Schiff said.

“They became aware later, but I don’t believe they were aware at the time, so there was no leverage implied,” Volker said.

[end]

Oh.

So, as we have seen time and time and time again from these Democrats and their media hack toadies, when the facts on the ground don’t support the narrative they are pushing, they stage a media event to distract the public’s attention. It’s a despicable tactic, one that undermines the stability of our society, and the constant progression of this kind of false-flag display pushes us closer to outright civil conflict with every passing day.

All of which makes it perfectly reasonable for the President to speculate that Pelosi “just plain doesn’t like our great Country.” The proof of that slaps us in the face on a daily basis.

That is all.

Why Did William Barr Meet with Rupert Murdoch?

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

This is going to be a fun, fun week. – Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe announced over the weekend that his group is going to be releasing a new series of confidential recording this week. The target of this project?

CNN. Check this out:

This week, a CNN insider will blow the whistle and through Project Veritas will release dozens of recordings made of officials at the highest levels of CNN, revealing a political agenda, bias and misconduct hidden from public view.

This series of tapes — which we think will be the biggest story of the year for Project Veritas — blends two extraordinary series of events; a brave insider secretly recording at work and a hard-hitting piece of hidden camera muckraking into one of the supposed “most trusted names in news.”

Oh, my. Somewhere, Brian Stelter is huddled in a broom closet, furiously consuming a sack of jelly donuts. What fun!

Are there really any coincidences in the DC Swamp?  –  Speaking of cable news outlets, here’s something to think about where Fox News is concerned: Last Thursday, the fake news media was filled with reports about Attorney General William Barr holding a meeting with Rupert Murdoch, Chairman of the Board for Fox News, the previous evening. Democrats were so alarmed about the meeting that they were all over CNN and MSNBC that day demanding a congressional investigation, even though there was no publicly-known reason for them to have any concern.

Of course, the Democrats have been in a bit of a frenzy to tarnish Barr’s reputation as he proceeds with his investigation into the origins of the coordinated DOJ/FBI/CIA/media efforts to deny Trump the presidency in 2016 and later to stage a coup d’etat to remove him from office, efforts that continue to this day. But the concern over this simple meeting seemed bizarrely overwrought, even in the context of that character assassination campaign, at least until Friday afternoon at 3:59 ET, when Shep Smith announced his “resignation” from his amazingly undeserved position at the cable news channel.

Remember that a big part of the Barr/John Durham investigation focuses on the massive leaking and cozy relationships with certain media members by the coup plotters within the government. It is also very important to remember that DOJ IG Michael Horowitz’s long-overdue FISA abuse report supposedly will be released late this week, and Horowitz has also been heavily-focused on the leaking issue.

The three things could be totally unconnected, but you can’t help wondering if Barr met with Murdoch to let him know what his investigation has discovered related to some of Fox’s employees and contributors, including some of its on-air “talent,” and their relationships with the Deep State coup participants. Certainly, no one among Fox’s on-air anchors has spent more time parroting the talking points of the Deep State more fervently over the past few years than Shep Smith has.

Again, it could all be just a big coincidence, and maybe Mr. Smith just got tired of being the cable channel’s poster child for the DC Swamp. Or maybe he got canned as a result of his on-air feud with the highly-rated Tucker Carlson. But I’ve never been much of a believer in coincidences.

Speaking of that on-air feud between Smith and Carlson, highly-paid Fox contributor Andrew Napolitano was at the center of all of that. As reported on September 25 by Vanity Fair:

The schism was evident this week as a feud erupted between afternoon anchor Shepard Smith and prime-time host Tucker Carlson. It started Tuesday when Fox legal analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano told Smith on-air that Trump committed a “crime” by pressuring Ukraine’s president to get dirt on Biden. That night, Carlson brought on former Trump lawyer Joe diGenova, who called Napolitano a “fool” for claiming Trump broke the law. Yesterday, Smith lashed back, calling Carlson “repugnant” for not defending Napolitano on air.

Of course, Vanity Fair omits the fact that “former Trump lawyer Joe diGenova” is also a former U.S. Attorney, and a very highly-regarded one. Because of course that’s what they did – that’s what the fake news media does. But I digress.

The thing to remember about Napolitano is that he had a very, very noticeable on-air transformation from being a Trump supporter one day to changing his on-air “legal analyses” into consistent anti-Trump rants the next. This transformation took place suddenly, shortly before the President publicly announced the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to become his second Supreme Court appointment. It is well-known that Napolitano actively lobbied the President for a Supreme Court nomination.

Here is what we also know without any doubt whatsoever: A large number of “journalists” and cable TV personalities are on the payroll of our intelligence agencies, and have been for more than half a century now. The convergence of all of these events could be mere coincidence, but it is certainly valid to wonder if Barr met with Murdoch as a courtesy call to give the media mogul a head’s up on which of his employees might be about to become implicated in some very major investigations.

The hyper-panicked reaction by the Democrats to what could well have been just a dinner between two old acquaintances indicates they’re a lot more worried about it than any reasonable person would be.

That is all.

Reaction to the McCabe Firing Proves the DC Swamp Will not be Drained Easily

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

While the fake news media outlets like CNN and MSNBC spent all day Saturday trying to brainwash the public into believing Andrew McCabe is pretty much as pure as the Virgin Mary, and that he was fired for purely political reasons, it’s important to remember the facts we do know about him:

  • This is a man who has spent his entire career making a government salary, and yet somehow has managed to accumulate a reported net worth in excess of $11 million;
  • McCabe’s firing was brought about via a recommendation from the DOJ’s Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR), which is populated mostly by people left over from the Obama Administration;
  • The OPR’s firing recommendation was based on a finding from an investigation conducted by the DOJ Inspector General, Michael Horowitz, who was originally hired for his job by…wait for it…Barack Hussein Obama;
  • That finding by the IG – that he lied to the IG’s inspectors about leaking to the media – is just one of multiple examples of improper behavior we know McCabe has been involved in over the last few years;
  • McCabe was also up to his ears in the efforts by the DOJ/FBI anti-Trump cabal to mislead the FISA court in seeking warrants to spy on the Trump Campaign during 2016;
  • We know that McCabe, after receiving information in September 2016 that Huma Abedin had been forwarding classified emails from Hillary Clinton’s illegal server to her pervert husband, Anthony Weiner, so he could print them out, sat on that information for a full month before being forced to do something with it;
  • We know that McCabe probably ordered Peter Strzok to alter his official 302 report related to his January 24, 2017 interview with General Mike Flynn, in an effort to entrap Flynn in a perjury charge;
  • And we know that McCabe probably perjured himself before congress when testifying about his role in all these things last year.

Despite the professionally-written talking points that McCabe and the deep state fake news media are reciting in unison, President Trump played literally no role whatsoever in McCabe’s firing.  McCabe was relieved of his duties thanks to the result of a 14-month-long investigation conducted by Obama appointees that led to a firing recommendation that came from Obama holdovers within the Department of Justice.

The truth is that the process that led to McCabe’s ultimate firing is a sadly rare example of the government processes working exactly as they are set up to work, a purely bureaucratic process from beginning to end with basically no political interference at all.  Trust me, if President Trump had had his way, Andrew McCabe would have been looking for new employment about 9 months ago.

Meanwhile, the flood of outrage coming from the Obama-era deep state actors who will also most likely find themselves in personal jeopardy as all these investigations come to a head in the next few months was as hyperbolic as it was predictable.

Fired FBI Director and aspiring future Dancing With the Stars participant James Comey started the hit parade with:

Obama CIA Director and noted drama queen John Brennan, emboldened by Comey’s act of deep state Twitter heroics, chimed in with this outright seditious screed:

After Brennan’s outburst – which should serve as the basis for a Secret Service investigation – famous serial felonious un-masker and Obama-era UN Ambassador Samantha Power couldn’t resist tossing out a clear threat to a sitting POTUS of her own:

There were others, but you get the picture.  Somehow, Obama-era Director of National Intelligence and admitted perjurer James Clapper, who is normally all over CNN whenever anything like this comes up, managed to remain silent in the wake of the McCabe firing.  Perhaps he was trying to send a signal to his deep state cabal compatriots:  If so, the signal was studiously ignored.

What this well-coordinated reaction from the deep state skunks and snakes and their willing conspirators in the fake news media gave us on Saturday is just a preview of things to come.  If anyone had thought that the inhabitants of the DC Swamp were just going to go quietly, well, it’s time to think again.  If anything, the reactions we will see from all these bad actors will only become more hyperbolic and intense with each succeeding action against their fellow conspirators.

This is why all of this is taking so long to come to fruition.  Attorney General Jeff Sessions and IG Horowitz must make absolutely sure that every action they bring against these cabal conspirators is completely supported by all bureaucratic requirements, painstakingly documented by findings of unarguable fact and buttoned down in a way that even a Washington, DC jury filled with Obama and Hillary Clinton voters will have no choice but to render guilty verdicts.  And they are going to have to accomplish all of that in an atmosphere in which 98% of the national news media will be doing everything it can to deceive the public and paint them as the bad guys.

Because that’s how the DC Swamp works.  If it wasn’t, we wouldn’t need to drain it.

Just another day in no one ever said that draining the DC Swamp would be easy America.

That is all.

Never Forget That Cleaning The DC Swamp Is Literally A Life Or Death Struggle

  • President Donald Trump was on fire at a rally in Pensacola Friday evening, where he took on an array of his adversaries, from the fake news media to (sadly) the FBI to huckster attorney Gloria Allred.   Commenting on the legal and political system at one point, the President of the United States said “this is a rigged system.  There’s no country like ours, but we have a lot of sickness in some of our institutions.”  Truer words have never been spoken.
  • After 8 years of an anti-American, Saul Alinskyite presidency, pretty much all of our institutions are sick.  That was, of course, the Obama plan.  Here are some examples of our corrupted institutions:
    • The courts, where Obama-appointed judges held up a perfectly lawful travel ban for 9 months before the Supreme Court finally slapped them down on a 7-2 decision last week;
    • NOAA, where a group of climate “scientists” spent the last 8 years systematically revising the global temperature records in order to invent “global warming”;
    • the fake news media, which literally sold its soul in 2008 to get Obama elected, and now stands as a de facto opposition political party to the American people;
    • the EPA, which spent the last 8 years doing everything it could to depress the U.S. economy with an avalanche of regulations knowingly based on bad science;
    • the State Department, which continues to fight against the agenda of a duly-elected President;
    • And of course, the Department of Justice and the FBI, which continue to sponsor Robert Mueller’s slow-rolling coup d’etat effort, while at the same time stonewalling an array of information requests by the courts and various congressional committees.
  • That list could go on and on, but these are some of the major highlights.  The point being that if you had thought cleaning out this swamp was going to be easy, you should have by now have disabused yourself of that notion.  This is going to be hard, and as we’ve seen with the sham Mueller “investigation”, the swamp denizens are going to fight back every step of the way.  This is life or death for them – if Trump succeeds, many of them, like Hillary Clinton, end up in prison.
  • To understand the truth of this, all one need to is go back to the incident during the campaign, when now-disgraced NBC fake host Matt Lauer actually decided to ask the Pantsuit Princess some fairly tough questions that had not been pre-approved by Donna Brazile during an interview on the peacock network.  After it was over, staff behind the scenes reported that the Coughing Crook screamed at NBC executives and went into an expletive-filled tirade:  “If I lose, we all go down and that Fascist F**k will have us swinging from nooses! What the f**k is wrong with you idiots?”  She wasn’t joking, folks – to her, and many others in her and Obama’s orbit, this was literally a life or death campaign.
  • So have patience – this is going to take awhile.
  • In other news, Deputy National Security Advisor Dina Powell announced late Friday that she will be leaving her post at the end of the year.  Powell, an ardent NeverTrump nitwit who should have never been hired, has long been rumored to have been the source of many of the negative leaks that flooded out of the White House during the first several months of the Administration.  Good riddance – she will not be missed.
  • Speaking of White House leaking, isn’t it interesting that, since rumors circulated in late summer that the President and Chief of Staff John Kelly had started feeding differing information to suspected leakers on-staff in order to see what ended up in the WaPo or NYTimes, those leaks have slowed to a trickle?  And that many of the leaks that do still occur end up being shown to be false and blowing up in the fake news media’s collective face?
  • Funny how that works.

Just another day in cleaning out the DC Swamp America.

That is all.

Robert Mueller’s Pretense of Impartiality Means Indictments Are Soon to Come

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

  • Hey, distract yourself with this shiny object over here! – NBC reports this morning that Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his crew of Clinton/Obama shills is now investigating… wait for it…the Podesta Group!  No, that’s not John Podesta, who managed The Most Corrupt Woman in America’s presidential campaign, but his brother Tony Podesta, who runs a high-powered lobbying firm for Democrat interests in the nation’s capital.
  • It seems the Podesta Group neglected to properly disclose its lobbying activities on behalf of something called the European Center for a Modern Ukraine (ECMU) to the federal government, doing so only after its activities on behalf of this entity were disclosed in the fake news media.  That’s a felony, if the oversight was intentional.  Of course, it will be pretty much impossible for Mueller’s team to prove intent absent some sudden come-to-Jesus moment by someone at the Podesta Group, something that is about as likely to happen as the Cleveland Browns winning the Super Bowl.
  • If you’re getting excited about this news that Mueller’s sham investigation into a Democrat/Media-created fantasy of Russian collusion with the Trump campaign is suddenly aiming its guns in the direction of the Democrats, where we know real Russia collusion took place, well, cool your jets.  The NBC report is “news” based on leaks from the Mueller team, and is most likely just an effort by the Special Counsel’s office to try to build some public credibility.
  • Think about it:  Mueller is anything but stupid, a creature of the DC Swamp for 30+ years.  He knows that any findings against any Trump-related people by his investigation will be hopelessly tainted due to the fact that he has stacked his team with hyper-partisan hacks.  Given that his goal from the start has been to find something, anything with which to charge someone, anyone associated with the President with some kind of criminal activity in order to damage Mr. Trump, he knows that credibility with the public is crucial to achieving that goal.
  • The last thing he wants to do is turn his fantasy-based investigation in the direction where it really should be aimed, i.e., reality, but he knows he must at least put up the pretense of impartiality.  What better way to do that than by leaking to the very willing Democrat accomplices at NBC that he and his crack team of Clinton/Obama donors are “investigating” potential wrongdoing by a high-powered lobbying firm with a very familiar Democrat name at the top for possible crimes that will be pretty much impossible to prove?
  • If you don’t believe that this is how these swamp creatures and their media hack supporters think, I give you the response mid-week last week by MSNBC fake journalist Andrea Mitchell to the current reporting on the Clinton/Russia/Uranium scandal by reporters for The Hill.   When asked why MSNBC and NBC were maintaining radio silence on that scandal’s new revelations, Ms. Mitchell responded that her network had “already reported” the story in the past.  The Media Research Center determined that that “previous reporting” to which Mitchell referred amounted to NBC having spent all of 92 seconds reporting on earlier revelations in 2013.
  • This is what these fake media outlets do whenever they’re faced with an inconvenient scandal involving one or more of their Democrat heroes:  they file a single, perfunctory report on the matter, giving it the most biased slant possible, and then spend the next 20 years claiming that “we already reported that story.”  It’s like getting a flu shot – you take just a smidgen of the nasty stuff in order to make yourself immune from having to go through the full-blown illness.
  • This inoculation strategy is as old as the DC Swamp itself, and this is most likely exactly what the Special Counsel’s office is implementing with its “investigation” into disclosures by the Podesta Group.  By putting up the pretense of looking at a high-powered Democrat lobbying firm for possible technical violations, Mueller and his team are most likely setting the stage for announcing indictments of former Trump campaign adviser Paul Manafort or others who were involved in the campaign.  Not surprisingly, the NBC story even runs a photo of Manafort, and mentions the Mueller team’s early morning raid of his home that took place in July.  Coincidence?  Don’t kid yourself.
  • Thus, when accusations of the Special Counsel’s office’s obvious bias start to come, Mueller will now be able to defend himself and his team by saying “hey, we also looked at this Democrat firm over here.”  See this shiny object?
  • Simple.  Utterly corrupt, but elegantly simple.

Just another day in DC Swamp America.

That is all.

An America Beset By Immature Children Acting Out

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Ok, lessee here….what’s been going on in America over the weekend?

  • Oh, well, we had three nights of rioting in St. Louis because a St. Louis jury acquitted a St. Louis cop who was falsely accused of murdering a St. Louis drug dealer six years ago.  To hear the rioters tell it, this drug dealer was the second coming of Rosa Parks and just the best person who ever walked the sidewalks of St. Louis.  I hadn’t said anything about this because riots in the greater St. Louis area have become such a regular occurrence since Barack Obama’s Justice Department began encouraging them and George Soros began funding professional rioters to create them in 2014 that they barely make a blip on my screen anymore.  They have become tiresome displays of immature children acting out over false outrages, the audience and sympathy for which grow smaller by the day.
  • Speaking of tiresome displays of immature children acting out over false outrages, for which the audience and sympathy grow smaller by the day, the Emmy Awards were handed out Sunday night.  Hosted by the execrable, unfunny late night outrage show host Stephen Colbert, the program predictably became nothing but a 3-hour platform for spoiled children to act out over false outrages, all directed at the President of the United States.  The overnight Nielsons weren’t available as of this writing, but we can be sure the ratings for this star-studded group temper tantrum will be down from last year – when they hit a historic low – and will continue to fall through the duration of the Trump Presidency.  This is what happens when performers go out of their way to gratuitously offend half of their potential audience at every given opportunity.
  • Rumors were flying prior to showtime that Hillary Clinton would make a cameo appearance at the show, but it turned out she was too busy signing books on the toilet paper aisle of her local CostCo to make the gig.  But Kate McKinnon, who played The Most Corrupt Woman in America in Saturday Night Live skits, took her presenting role as an opportunity to thank Crooked Hillary for her “grace”.  Proving, of course, that Kate McKinnon doesn’t know the difference between graft and grace.
  • Never to be left out, the NFL continues to demonstrate it has its own sub-population of immature children acting out, as players like Seattle’s Michael Bennett have now decided that protesting the national anthem just isn’t enough attention-seeking, and have begun taking their “look at me!” stunts onto the field.  Bennett celebrated a sack on Sunday with a single raised fist, the old “black power” salute made famous in the 1960s.
  • In other news that should not be news, pollster John McLaughlin came out with new data over the weekend, warning establishment Republicans in congress that they need to start actually keeping their campaign promises or Trump voters won’t turn out to re-elect them in next year’s mid-term elections.  The great wonder with this news item is that establishment Republicans apparently need polling data confirmation of something that would be obvious to the average third grader.  But this is how dim-witted establishment Republicans are.
  • The McLaughlin survey also found that a large plurality of surveyed GOP voters believe that Republicans in congress are working in opposition to President Trump’s efforts to “drain the swamp”, and fully 63% of GOP voters believe it is time for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Speaker of the House Paul Ryan to be replaced.  If any of these results surprise you, you just haven’t been paying close enough attention.
  • If establishment Republicans were intelligent (hah-hah! I’m cracking myself up here!), they would be working feverishly to keep some of those grand promises they all made during their 2016 campaigns.  Instead, they are currently in the midst of an 11-day vacation following just a week of work that came after their month-long August recess.  When they come back next week, they only have five working days left in September before they take their next vacation.
  • What all this shiftlessness and mendacity reminds us of is that there was a very good reason why establishment Republicans in Washington were, just 12 months ago, the single most-hated subset of the DC swamp among the public at large.  Donald Trump’s resurgent presidential campaign bailed them out from what had been shaping up to be a disastrous election cycle in 2016, but that crutch won’t be available in 2018.
  • Unless these layabout GOP dilettantes get their collective act together and start sending promise-keeping legislation to the President’s desk for signing, it becomes more likely by the day that Trump voters will abandon their stinking, er, “sinking” ship in next year’s elections.  Whether that would result in the turning over of one or both houses of congress remains a good question, since the Democrats remain in a state of insoluble disarray, but it all could be avoided by the Republicans’ simply doing some of the things they promised to do.  But this seems to be a bridge too far for McConnell, Ryan and their hapless minions, who obviously view keeping their vacation schedule sacrosanct as their number one duty.

Just another day in immature children acting out America.

That is all.
