Now the Climate Scammers are Coming for Your Homes

Seriously, how much WINNING can one nation take?  – Believe it or not, the NASDAQ did not close at a new record high on Friday, falling slightly to break an 11-trading day winning streak. But the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrials did manage new record closings, making Friday yet another banner day for investors. The WINNING truly never grows old.

The Enviro-Marxists are now coming for your homes. – As we come to the end of 2019, it is only appropriate that the radical leftist climate change lobby signals its clear intent to deprive you of yet another basic human liberty: The right to own your own home.

After all, 2019 was the year in which the insane Green New Deal introduced by the insane Alexandria Ocasio Cortez proposed to deny you the right to travel by air, own your own automobile, enjoy affordable power and home heating bills and eat beef – due to all the cow farts, you know. It was the year in which, during the summer, the climate alarmists began to mount an organized, global effort to deprive those who can afford them of any vacations that involve long-haul flights. It was the year that a George Soros-funded New York State Attorney General’s office attempted to convince a court to hold ExxonMobil responsible for knowing about “climate change” a full quarter century before anyone actually knew about it, only to be laughed out of the room by the state’s own supreme court.

So, at the end of a year such as this one, you had to figure it was inevitable that the Enviro-Marxist left would end it with yet another assault on free enterprise and Americans’ civil liberties.  Hey, it’s what these people do.

Writing at the communist publication The Nation, some urban planner from…wait for it….California – because of course this nitwit is from California – named Kian Goh is now proposing that it would be just a peachy idea for the government to end the basic American right to own private property in general, and single-family homes specifically. Because, climate change, or something.

You can tell just from reading the title of Mr. Goh’s piece – “California’s Fires Prove the American Dream Is Flammable” – that it’s going to be a smorgasbord of Enviro-Marxist fright tactics wedded to openly Marxist policy proposals, and Goh does not disappoint, oh, no. All you really need to know about the piece, in fact, is contained in the subhead that reads, “If we want to keep cities safe in the face of climate change, we need to seriously question the ideal of private homeownership.”

Oh. Sounds legit, right? Well, it does if you are a hopelessly ignorant nitwit who wants to the government to dictate every step you take every day of your life, which sadly describes roughly 40% of the U.S. population today, and about 90% of the employees in the nation’s corrupt news media.

I’m old enough to remember when leftist Democrats pretended to be all for individual rights to home ownership. That was waaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy back in the…wait for it … 1990s when Bill Clinton was forcing Fannie May and Freddie Mac to give mortgage loans to pretty much anyone who wanted one, even to those who manifestly could not afford them. Because, fairness, or something. That, by the way, was also the administration of Vice President Al Gore, the scam artist who has profited perhaps more than anyone on earth from pushing the climate scam during the 21st century.

But that’s all changed now and Mr. Goh is the new left’s poster child. Goh’s basic thesis is to use the issue of California wildfires as a tool to attack private housing. He is especially against building individual homes in rural areas, basically because they’re, er, flammable. Oh, yeah, and he’s also opposed to – you’ll never guess – “cheap energy”, i.e., affordable utility bills:

The growth of urban regions in the second half of the 20th century has been dominated by economic development, aspirations of home ownership, and belief in the importance of private property. Cities and towns have expanded in increasingly disperse fashion, fueled by cheap energy.

His proposed solution is, of course, less individual freedom, replaced by government command-and-control, i.e., Marxism:

To engage with these challenges, we need to do more than upgrade the powerlines or stage a public takeover of the utility companies. We need to rethink the ideologies that govern how we plan and build our homes.

Next, he plays the race card in a transparent attempt to curry favor with minorities:

In and around so many cities, new building technologies, racist lending practices, systemic criminalization of the poor and people of color, and uneven patterns of “creative destruction”—that is, cycles of investment and disinvestment across city centers and suburbs—favored one kind of residential development: single-family houses for those deemed qualified, which typically meant white, middle-class families.

So predictable. So tiresome. So utterly Alinskyite.

The next step in this paint-by-the-numbers leftist climate alarm piece is of course to blame the fires on “climate change” even though the frequency and intensity of U.S. forest fires has in fact fallen since all the climate alarmism as a stalking horse for Marxism began in the late 1980s:

The valorizing of homeownership and property rights results not only in increased exposure to climate-change-fueled fires, but also in our inadequate responses to them.

Then he goes on to signal the next step to come in this Enviro-Marxist campaign to deprive Americans of their rights: The assault on individual rights to own homes on the coast:

Discussions have surged over the last two years about the need for coastal communities to retreat further inland as they face rising sea levels—a seemingly more imminent threat. How should we broach the more uncertain risks of fire?

This dude has your future all planned out for you, you just don’t know it yet.

And here comes the money paragraph, the paragraph in which Goh very predictably exposes himself as a supporter of The Commie, Bernie Sanders, who has chosen to enlist Alexandria Ocasio Cortez and her Green New Deal as his campaign’s mascot:

There are other options, in theory: Rental housing serves many cities around the world well, although we should be wary about perpetuating the power of landlords in this country without delinking ownership from wealth creation. There has been resurgent interest in government-planned and -built public housing, including recent legislation proposed by Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and Bernie Sanders that would shore up and invigorate the federal system. The Green New Deal invokes prior eras of government intervention, lending itself to revitalized thinking about the social value of public goods.

The Climate Scam always has been and always will be a stalking horse for the global implementation of Marxist-style socialism. Every suggested “solution” ever offered by any adherent to Climate Change religious dogma has, without exception, involved a Soviet-style command-and-control central government depriving individuals of their rights and prosperity.

The right to own personal property was enshrined by the founders of this country because they understood that it was a crucial tool in maintaining personal freedom. As such, it should surprise no one that the climate scammers would seek to deprive Americans of that key right, along with their liberty and pursuit of happiness.

They are telling you everything they want to do to you, folks – all you have to do is read and listen.

The Climate Scammers are Coming for your Vacations

The only thing “green” about this stunt was the 4 million British pounds it cost to build the contraption. – 16-year-old Swedish student Greta Thunberg has been hailed globally as a “climate change” hero for crossing the Atlantic recently on a solar-powered boat. The trip took 15 days to complete, and got her more free, fawning media coverage than Irish Bob O’Rourke received last year in his failed race against Ted Cruz.

But it turns out, as all these Climate Scam stunts do, that the stunt was just a stunt and not “green” at all. Nevermind the decidedly un-green way in which solar panels are produced; now, the sailing team who accompanied Thunberg on her journey will fly two of its members on a carbon-spewing jet all the way across the Atlantic in order to bring the boat back. Because, see, there are no solar-powered planes capable of making that journey.

When asked to comment by the fawning Associated Press, team spokesman Holly Cova said that it was “an imperfect solution,” then said the team believes offsetting the emissions by funding carbon-reducing projects elsewhere “is better than doing nothing.” That of course is the same dodge celebrities with carbon footprints larger than Uganda’s – like Al Gore and Leonardo DiCaprio – employ to justify their lavish lifestyles.

Thus, Ms. Thunberg is revealed to be just another in the long, sad line of child tools employed by cynical adults to push the global socialist agenda. But we really knew that all along, didn’t we?

Speaking of Climate Scammers, they are now coming for your vacations. – Don’t say we didn’t warn you about this. The leftist activists at The Atlantic have a piece out this morning lecturing you on the evils of taking vacations that require air travel. This is of course in keeping with the the fake news media’s tireless efforts to prop up Alexandria Ocasio Cortez’s ludicrous “Green New Deal.”

The piece, written by a guilt-ridden travel writer who is no more worthy of being named here than the Odessa shooter, contains this outright fabrication that illustrates its deceptive agenda:

Yet optional travel is also a major contributor to ecocide. Last year, a University of Sydney study examined the environmental impact of the many activities involved in tourism—including transportation, shopping, and more—and found that it accounts for 8 percent of all global carbon emissions, far more than previously imagined.

Given that all man-made sources only account for less than 4% of global carbon emissions, it is pretty much impossible for vacation travel alone to account for double that. The author employs the classic Climate Scammer trick of leaving out the whole “man-made” part. If the study cited is accurate, then the correct percentage caused by “optional travel” is 32/100ths of 1% (8% of 4%) of “all global carbon emissions.”

In other words, it’s a rounding error.

But that’s what the Climate Scammers do – everything they say is a lie couched within carefully constructed, high-minded rhetoric about “saving the planet.” The entire Green New Deal outline is a wonderful example of this tactic.

Your vacation isn’t killing the planet. What is really happening here is that international vacation travel has become a booming capitalist enterprise in recent years, thus making it a target that the global socialist Climate Scam must seek to destroy. Any private enterprise that produces profits and economic growth automatically becomes something these people must attempt to kill. Unless, of course, that enterprise is engaged in by the Gores, DiCaprios and other fabulously leftist heroes of the Climate Scam.

Here’s another very telling quote that illustrates that dichotomy of targeting:

“Going someplace far away, we now know, is the biggest single action a private citizen can take to worsen climate change,” the journalist Andy Newman wrote recently in The New York Times. “One seat on a flight from New York to Los Angeles effectively adds months worth of human-generated carbon emissions to the atmosphere. And yet we fly more and more.”

Ok, so, “one seat on a flight from New York and Los Angeles” is now something to be vilified using false, deceptive claims attributing a jumbo jet flight’s entire emissions to a single passenger. But nowhere in the Atlantic piece will you find the author similarly excoriating the globalist Climate Scam heroes for flying hundreds of private jets and sailing dozens of gigantic, gas-guzzling yachts to half a dozen or more international “climate” conferences each and every year.

Whose carbon footprint is bigger? Is it the footprint of the middle class couple who occupy two seats out of 300 on a Lufthansa flight from Dallas to Rome to embark on their bucket list European vacation, a trip for which they have planned and saved for the last 20 years? Or is it the billionaire climate huckster who occupies one of six filled seats on a private jet from New York to Geneva? Or is it the hundred-millionaire movie star who chugs across the Atlantic with a couple dozen friends and hangers-on on his 200-foot, diesel-powered yacht?

Your vacations are not killing the planet, folks. Ignore these evil scammers. Enjoy your life.

Banning Plastic Straws – Just Another Climate Scam Strawman

You don’t sayyyy… – The people who run McDonald’s were forced to admit yesterday that the company “may have exaggerated how eco-friendly their paper straws are.” Oh.

It seems the giant hamburger-with-fake-onions maker has spent the last year claiming that its paper straws are “100% recyclable” when in fact they are not recyclable at all, as in “0% recyclable.” These vaunted “solutions” to the issue of plastic waste polluting the oceans turn out to be just another piece of garbage, and not any real “solution” at all.

Now, I have nothing at all against paper straws – I’m old enough to remember that, way back in the 1960s, they were the only form of straws we had available to us in my little Texas hometown and we managed to drink our Dairy Queen Dr. Peppers with them just fine. But this mania growing across the United States of America to shame companies like McDonald’s into using them instead of plastic straws and further to push states to go so far as to issue outright bans on plastic straws is just one more fake crusade by a bunch of fake eco-crusaders.

Here’s the truth about the problem with plastic in our oceans: The United States and Europe COMBINED produce about 2% of the total waste, with the U.S. producing about half of that, or 1%. Meanwhile, fully 82% of the waste emanates from Asia and its rapidly-expanding economies, with the remaining 16% coming from Africa, South America and the rest of the world.

In other words, the plastics issue is just like the carbon emissions issue: The United States could eliminate ALL use of plastics and not even make a small dent in terms of solving the problem. In other words, the entire issue is – excuse the pun – a classic straw man.

The folks at McDonald’s got caught up in the virtue-signaling fever that is sweeping the Western World on this issue, got caught exaggerating their virtue, and embarrassed their company as a result. So goes another day in Climate Scam world.

Sane Americans Should Treat the Insane Green New Deal as a Deadly Serious Matter

I repeat, we must take this insane “Green New Deal” very seriously… – because the Democrats aren’t kidding, hard as that might be for any sane person to believe. You may have noticed that the only part of the “Green New Deal” that has disappeared from the news media since its hysterically absurd rollout a few weeks back is the details.

The raging Bronx nitwit Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez quickly removed her third-grade-level talking points document from her website after it was widely panned on social media, but that hasn’t stopped the fake, “mainstream” news media from doing its dead-level best to keep the hoax alive. The Climate Scammers who run the New York Times Climate section published a huge essay last week in which they twisted themselves into pretzels of illogic and outright lies in order to declare the GND to be “technologically possible”, but also had enough integrity to point out that it would cost many, many trillions of dollars we do not have and getting authorized legislation passed would be near-impossible.

Those last two points were pretty much the only true things in the piece, so of course the same scammers issued an apology for including them in their otherwise-fantasy-based screed when all the social justice warriors on Twitter went ballistic on them. Because in today’s fake news media, promoting leftist politically-correct fantasy always take priority over arcane things like reporting simple facts.

As I mentioned in yesterday’s Week in Review, detestable Senator Dianne Feinstein was accosted by a group of 8,9, and 10 year-old children whose abusive parents are using them as political tools. Which I guess makes the parents even more detestable than Sen. Feinstein, come to think of it. Anyway, when these kids tried to bully Feinstein into reciting the Democrat GND religious dogma, the Senator, in a rare moment of lucidity, proceeded to lecture them on what an unworkable fantasy the thing is.

Naturally, Feinstein later apologized after – you guessed it – all the social justice warriors on Twitter went ballistic on her.  See how this works?

Longtime NBC news hack Andrea Mitchell, a decades-long promotor of the Climate Scam, became the latest target the Twitter social justice warrior thuggery when, on NBC’s Meet the Press show, she – accurately, for once in her sordid career – chastised those abusive parents, saying “Who are the adults who bring their kids, who don’t understand this stuff, seven, eight, nine, ten-year-olds. I understand the passion of children and how important it is, but to ambush a senator this way.” You could hear the SJW heads exploding in the background if you listen closely to the tape.

Mitchell went on to get into a back and forth with some raging fake green nitwit named Heather McGhee about some of the same points the NYTimes Climate people raised: It costs trillions, and you’ll never get it through congress. McGhee’s responses ranged from promoting fascist thuggery (of course) to rank ignorance about the legislative process, but no matter. By the mere act of questioning the GND, which has now become nothing less than the equivalent of the Book of Revelations in the Church of Global Warming’s Bible, even a devoted leftist news-faker like Andrea Mitchell now becomes an enemy of the religious zealots.

And there is the bottom line on this, folks: This is a religious cult we are dealing with here, and the entire Democrat Party is now a captive of it. You don’t have to believe me – all you have to do is look and see the Party’s presidential contenders all lining up to unthinkingly endorse the lunatic “plan” like so many lemmings running off the nearest cliff.

Their own literature states that, even if you could do all the insane things they advocate during the next 12 years – capture all the cow farts (or hey, just kill all the cows), eliminate the miracle of air flight, destroy the fossil fuels that supply 80% of global energy and make modern life possible and replace it all with rail lines to Hawaii and London and China and Australia and millions of gigantic windmills and solar farms scarring the breadth and depth of America, you would, maybe, in a perfect scenario, prevent 1 degree of “global warming.”

Yes, half the population would die within a year due to lack of reliable energy, but in AOC’s mind, that’s a small price to pay and hey, all those people assuming room temperature means that’s just that much less CO2 being emitted, since they aren’t breathing anymore. If you think I’m kidding, you need to look a little closer into the former bartender’s dead, beady eyes.

But all those facts are irrelevant anyway, aren’t they?

They’re irrelevant because arguing facts and logic and objective truth with people who are nothing more than zealous adherents to a religious cult will always fail. Any facts or logic or truth that fall outside of the dogma dictated by Pope Al Gore and Cardinals like AOC and that actor who was on the Titanic when it sank, or something, will fall on deaf ears, have you branded as a heretic and tarred and feathered on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

And that’s how they treat their philosophical supporters. Think how they will be prepared to treat all of you common people out there in flyover country if they ever regain the power necessary to really push this insanity, like they did with Obamacare in 2009-10.

This is serious stuff, people.  Deadly serious.

Why Ed Markey is Desperate to Avoid Voting on His “Green New Deal”

Oh. Why, nobody could’ve seen that coming. Oh, wait… – Useless North Carolina RINO Senator Richard Burr told the leering press yesterday that the incredibly mis-named Senate Intelligence Committee has found no evidence of “collusion” with Russia by the Trump Campaign, Trump Transition Team or Trump Administration. Go figure.

Like American Gestapo Chief, er, “Special Counsel” Robert Mueller, Senate Intel is winding down its fake investigation because there is no “there” there – never was, isn’t now, and never will be. Democrats and fake journalists who really bought into this fantasy play expressed their shock and dismay, but Burr and his partner in this fake investigation – Virginia Democrat Senator Mark Warner – are finally giving up the ghost and directing their committee to move onto greener pastures.

Hey, here’s an idea – maybe y’all can go back to doing your actual job and start exercising a little congressional oversight over the nation’s still-corrupt “intelligence” community. What a novel concept.

Sen. Ed Markey wants to “sponsor” the incredibly destructive “Green New Deal”… – but he just doesn’t want to “vote” for the incredibly destructive “Green New Deal.” That was the message sent out by the despicable Democrat from Massachusetts on Tuesday after Mitch McConnell told the press he is making plans to hold a vote on the hilariously inept congressional resolution that Alexandria Ocasio Cortez rolled out into the public domain last week.

“I’ve noted with great interest the Green New Deal,” McConnell said, “And we’re going to be voting on that in the Senate. Give everybody an opportunity to go on record and see how they feel about the Green New Deal.” In other words, the Senate Majority Leader wants to get every Democrat member in that body on the record supporting things like destroying the miracle of air flight, destroying the nation’s thriving oil and gas industry, making cars too expensive for all but the wealthy to afford and throwing the United States quickly into an economic depression that would make the 1930s look like a walk in the park.

Sen. Markey wants none of that voting nonsense. He wants to be able to keep up his 30-year practice of being a rank demagogue on the “Global Warming” issue without actually having votes in favor of the invariably-Socialist/fascist “solutions” proposed by the fake “green” community dirtying up his record.

Thus it was that, shortly after McConnell made his promise to hold a vote, Markey issued this response that reeks of desperation:

“Don’t let Mitch McConnell fool you: this is nothing but an attempt to sabotage the movement we are building. He wants to silence your voice so Republicans don’t have to explain why they are climate change deniers. McConnell wants this to be the end, this is just the beginning.”

Yeah, it’s a “beginning” all right – Markey may or may not realize it just yet, but the roll-out of this creepy proposal to turn our country into just another starving, third-world socialist/fascist failed state is indeed the beginning of the end of the Democrat Party’s quest to regain the levers of power in Washington. Democrats have only managed to win elections over the past half-century by lying about their real beliefs and intentions. The Green New Deal removes that mask for all to see, and it is an incredibly ugly face that most Americans will never support.

So, in case you’re wondering, that is why Markey and other senate Democrats will do everything they can to avoid casting a vote on AOC’s incredibly destructive proposal.

Hey, maybe this is another reason… – You don’t have to believe me or any other conservative voice on how awful the Green New Deal really is – you could listen to the founder of the far-left eco-terrorist group “GreenPeace” if you want.

Patrick Moore, in an interview with the New American, basically characterized Markey’s proposal as a global suicide pact:  “It is quite amazing that someone that is in government — actually elected to the government of the United States of America — would propose that we eliminate all fossil fuels in 12 years,” he said in an on-camera interview with The New American from Canada. “This would basically result, if we did it on a global level, it would result in the decimation of the human population from 7-odd billion down to who knows how few people.”

Oh. Well, gosh, maybe it isn’t such a great idea, then.

Hold the vote, Mitch. Put these soulless ghouls on the record for posterity.

Dan Crenshaw, the Anti-AOC, Perfectly Sums Up the “Green New Deal”

Devastation in 280 characters or less. – He isn’t as flashy or bug-eyed crazy as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, but in his own quiet way, Texas freshman Congressman Dan Crenshaw is every bit the rising star on the right as the infamous, roof-top-dancing AOC is on the left.

After two days of hilarity and 800-word detailed analyses of AOC’s Climate Scam wet dream that she refers to as the “Green New Deal,” Congressman Crenshaw – a rare Republican who actually “gets” the potential power of social media –  took to Twitter this evening to completely dismantle the farce in three short sentences:

Ouch.

OMG, AOC, the ball’s all, like, totally in your, like, court or something. You know?

Here is just how perfectly devastating and succinct Crenshaw’s tweet truly is:

Sentence 1: Gets directly to the critical point that conclusively demonstrates this particular document produced by the Global Climate Scam is not about “climate” at all;

Sentence 2: Lays out the absolute truth about the way socialist/fascist brutes throughout history have always operated – you must first destroy before you can begin to “build” your socialist paradise.  Like Venezuela, for instance;

Sentence 3: Thanks the Democrats for so starkly and absolutely showing their true brutish face to the public, an event so rare in modern times that those of us among the thinking must do everything we can to appreciate and preserve it for posterity.

As Absurd as it is, We Must Take This “Green New Deal” Very Seriously

Now that we’ve all had a chance to read Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s “Green New Deal” and recover from our hysterical laughter at the utter absurdity of it all…: – Make no mistake about it – this “Green New Deal”, as ridiculous and childishly-written as its talking points document is, represents a deadly serious threat to our nation’s future. Deadly serious.

The nation’s modern history is filled with example after example of the political left being laughed out of the room when rolling out similarly idiotic proposals, only to ultimately see those very same proposals be enacted into law years later, after our education system and fake news media had brainwashed another generation of children and young adults to believe it’s just a peachy idea. The best example is nationalized healthcare: The Pantsuit Princess was the target of harsh ridicule from all parts of society when she rolled out her byzantine plan for a government takeover of 1/7th of the national economy in 1993-94. But 16 short years later, America’s Worst Mistake – Barack Hussein Obama – signed a very similar plan into law.

Twenty years ago, virtually no one believed we’d ever see young people with male genitals and musculature be allowed to steal athletics trophies from young girls, but today that is happening all over the nation, and anyone who speaks up in defense of the young girls is demonized by the news media and Democrat politicians. Just a decade ago, those who predicted that we’d soon be seeing “women’s groups” like NOW remain studiously silent as radical Muslims were allowed by state and local governments to practice Sharia Law and female genital mutilation were ridiculed as being alarmist and “racist”. But today that is happening in many parts of the country with the full approval and sanction of the Democrat Party and these “women’s groups”.

Just a handful of years ago, anyone who predicted that a Democrat Speaker of the House would refuse to hold a vote on a pro-Israel congressional resolution for fear of offending the large and growing anti-Semitic segment of her caucus would have been laughed out of the room. But that is happening right now, in real time.

So if you think the Democrats aren’t deadly serious about this “Green New Deal,” you should back up and think again. An old, 43-year veteran of congress like Ed Markey didn’t sign on as AOC’s Straw Man (“if I only had a brain”) for her walk down the fake environmental Yellow Brick Road just for fun.

Ed Markey doesn’t even know what fun is anymore. He’s nearing the end of his time on this earth, and he has worked to turn the United States into a socialist/fascist state for his entire life.  If you think he is not serious about seizing your land and assets and printing 40 Trillion dollars in order to devalue our currency and turn America into just another third-world country, then you haven’t been paying attention to his career to date, and you must have also slept through the Obama years.

Yes, the “Green New Deal” is utterly, completely absurd, an unworkable fantasy concocted by demented and childish minds. Yes, as I pointed out last night, the plan rips the mask off of the true fascist nature of the global Green movement, but that global Climate Scam has made steady inroads into every aspect of our daily lives for 50 years now. Did you think they were going to just stop at some point?

We all need to remember that those demented and childish – and yes, evil in many cases – minds really believe their own bullsh*t.  These are minds that have been completely brainwashed into believing that the abject horse manure they’re slinging out into the public domain this week is going to … wait for it… save the world!  Literally.

So yes, by all means, laugh at these nitwits today and bathe them in the ridicule they have so richly earned. But also take them very seriously and remember that they – not you – own our nation’s education system and news media. No matter how crazy you know their ideas to be, remember that they will continue to deploy every asset at their disposal to brainwash the current and every succeeding generation of American school children into believing all of this nonsense until they reach that critical mass, that point in time when they will be able to force it all into official government policy.

In 1995, a very wise man told me that “all the pinks and reds have gone green.” Yesterday, all those pinks and reds shed their green facade for all to see. In doing so, they reveal that they, like Hillary Clinton in 1993, think they have already reached that critical mass and are convinced they can now reveal their true nature without paying a political price.

Laughing at them and ridiculing them is not enough: We must stop being timid and become bold in opposing them. Be bold, for the sake of your children and grandchildren.

Bob Mueller: Nude Selfie Inspector Extraordinaire

The Mueller “Investigation” reaches rock bottom. – Yesterday, it came to light that the upright, stalwart man with the “unimpeachable” reputation, Special Counsel Robert Mueller, has now resorted to the collection of “nude selfies” in his Captain Ahab-like quest to indict as many Russian ham sandwiches as he possibly can.

Of course, in the case of Concorde Management, it turns out that our abusive counsel wants to indict the ham sandwich, but he doesn’t want to actually prosecute the ham sandwich.  Mainly because he and his evil band of Clinton/Obama hacks know they are holding a big bag of nothing in their case against this consulting firm.

In their feverish efforts to avoid an embarrassing day in court, Mueller and his minions have been trying to convince the judge in the case that the normal rules of production and disclosure do not apply.  Their claim is that they should be able to conduct their prosecution of the case without sharing evidence with the defense due to … wait for it…NATIONAL SECURITY REASONS.  Mueller argues that revealing his evidence could also reveal his “sources and means,” the standard excuse used by the FBI and DOJ in redacting documents in order to avoid embarrassing themselves.  Oh yeah, you betcha.  You just cannot make this stuff up.

Remember, Concorde is the company that is accused of basically setting up a handful of fake social media accounts and spending about $100,000 in messaging during the 2016 election. Can it really get any more absurd than this?

As it turns out, yes, it can. In a filing to the court made public on Thursday, Concorde’s lawyers argue against Mueller’s absurd demand, in the process including the following statement:

“Could the manner in which he collected a nude selfie really threaten the national security of the United States?”

Yes, friends and foes, your Special Counsel is deploying the old “sources and means” argument to avoid revealing how he and his band of thugs came to be in possession of a nude selfie.  I’m really not sure what else needs to be said about that.  Other than, holy crap.

Paris Burning Update: Speaking of things you just could not make up if you wanted to, the news out of Gay Pareee this morning is that the Macron government is now being sued by radical fake green groups GreenPeace and Oxfam for…wait for it…oh, you gotta wait for this one…AGREEING TO RESCIND MACRON’S CARBON TAX!  I swear I do not make this stuff up:

“Four NGOs—Oxfam, Greenpeace, Notre Affaire à Tous, and Fondation pour la Nature et l’Homme—have initiated legal proceedings saying France has defaulted on its environmental obligations. The initial Dec.18 filing gives the government two months to formulate a response, after which the organizations can choose to move forward with their lawsuit (link in French) in administrative court.”

This is climate-scamism at its finest:  Bind your country to some international “accord” (not a treaty) that would do literally nothing at all about the “climate”, but would redistribute trillions of dollars from Western nations to the rest of the world, and you suddenly find that, no matter what action you try to take related to it, you’re angering large segments of your society. Try to implement the socialist policies that the globalist community demands, and half your population riots in the streets.  Try to rescind those policies, and the fake green groups (which are really just socialist fronts) have millions of dollars or francs they will use to sue your butt off.

There is no graceful exit available for Macron in this situation. He must take a side, and you can be sure that he will ultimately side with the fake greens and globalists, because that is who he is.  And honestly, this is the fate he richly deserves.

New Climate Report Repackages Al Gore-ism With a Government Label

The Climate Scam issues another convenient report filled with inconvenient untruths. –  The new big trick of the Climate Scammers is to take the rising dollar costs of major disasters in the U.S. and elsewhere and pretend that means the disasters are getting worse and more frequent through time.  Hurricane Harvey cost 10 or 20 times – whatever the number is – more than 1961’s Hurricane Carla cost, so that means it was a much worse storm.

Nevermind that, due to the time value of money, a 1961 dollar had ten times the purchasing power than a 2017 dollar.  Nevermind that the population and infrastructure buildout along the Texas Gulf Coast has multiplied several times in the intervening 56 years, Harvey cost ten times more so it was a much worse storm.  Oh, and we’re getting many more such costly storms these days, so it must be due to global warming caused by your SUVs.

It’s a neat trick, and a new report sponsored by multiple federal agencies – though mysteriously authored by well-known non-government Climate alarmists like Texas Tech’s Katherine Hayhoe – issued on Friday uses it to great effect. It’s Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” redux, a veritable climate alarmism tour de force, only without Al Gore.

It makes all the same predictions Gore’s 2006 screed predicted, only without the frightening film: Sea levels rising, bigger and more frequent hurricanes, melting polar ice caps, bigger and more frequent forest fires, lower crop yields, reduced economic output, and on and on and on.

The problem is, literally nothing Gore predicted has come true. In the 12 years since Gore’s film was released, here is what has actually taken place:

  • Global temperatures have fallen slightly;
  • The frequency of hurricanes and cyclonic events in the Western Hemisphere has fallen;
  • The frequency and magnitude of U.S. forest fires has declined dramatically;
  • The arctic polar ice cap has remained essentially unchanged while Antarctic ice has risen substantially;
  • Crop yields in the U.S. and globally have risen dramatically;
  • Sea levels have continued to rise at the same pace at which they have risen since the end of the last ice age, and there is not a damn thing Al Gore or the rest of the human race can do to stop it;
  • U.S. economic output is dramatically higher today, in real dollars, than it was in 2006.

Gore’s projections in 2006 were based on the predictions of climate models and the climate alarmists who invent and use them.  The report issued yesterday, in the midst of the coldest Thanksgiving weekend in modern times, is similarly based on the predictions of climate models and climate alarmists who invent and use them.

It’s the exact same scam in a different package with a different face. Ms. Hayhoe is the same climate alarmist who half a decade ago was assuring us that Texas was in the midst of a “permanent drought”.  Texas has experienced half a dozen 500-year flood events since that time.

The Climate Scam was invented and still exists as a tool for the promotion of global socialism. If you believe the projections of climate models rather than actual climate observations, then you believed Al Gore (and still believe him despite the fact that he was wrong about literally everything) and you will believe this latest report.

The rest of us will keep living our lives and await the issuance of the next alarmist tour de force, once the one released yesterday, like Gore’s “Inconvenient Truth”, has outlived its usefulness to the global socialist crowd.

Oh, sure, what could possibly go wrong? – The newsfakers at CNN report that climate “scientists” at Harvard and Yale are proposing “an ingenious but as-yet-unproven way to tackle climate change: spraying sun-dimming chemicals into the Earth’s atmosphere.” I swear I don’t make this stuff up.

It just gets better…

The research by scientists at Harvard and Yale universities, published in the journal Environmental Research Letters, proposes using a technique known as stratospheric aerosol injection, which they say could cut the rate of global warming in half.
The technique would involve spraying large amounts of sulfate particles into the Earth’s lower stratosphere at altitudes as high as 12 miles. The scientists propose delivering the sulfates with specially designed high-altitude aircraft, balloons or large naval-style guns.

Mind you, these very same people remain utterly incapable of telling you what your weather is going to be 12 hours from now, but now you are supposed to just meekly sit back and smile and eat your Honey Nut Cheerios while they go about engineering the entire planet to prevent disaster projected by climate models that have unfailingly proven to be wrong.

No, thanks.

WE DON’T HAVE A “RADICAL RIGHT-WING SUPREME COURT,” despite lots of mewing on the left to the contrary. Here are some things that would be at the top of the list for a radical right-wing Court: Here are the sorts of things that would be at the top of the agenda for a radical right-wing Court: (1) ban abortion nationwide as a violation of the right to life protected by the due process clause; (2) rule that publicly-provided (but not funded) education is unconstitutional because it inherently involves viewpoint discrimination by the government, or at least require vouchers for those who object to the public school curriculum; (3) overrule an 1898 precedent and completely abolish birthright citizenship; (4) Use the First Amendment as a sword to require “fairness” in the left-dominated media. Not only is the Supreme Court not about to do any of things, I don’t think any of these things would even get one vote on the current Court. Moreover, merely bringing the scope of Congress’s constitutional back to where it was, say, in 1935, which was already much broader than the original meaning of the Commerce power, probably wouldn’t get more than one or two votes. What you are looking at right now is a conservative Court that will only affect society on the margins, not a “radical right-wing” Court.

The GOP Surrender Caucus Holds The Fate of the Mid-terms in its Hands

Man, nobody could’ve seen this one coming. Oh, wait… – If it sometimes seems to you that literally nothing the “Climate Change” scammers claim ever turns out to be true, that just means you are a keen observer of actual outcomes.

For our latest example, I bring you these findings from a new study conducted by researchers at…wait for it…HARVARD!:

“In two papers — published today in the journals Environmental Research Letters and Joule — Harvard University researchers find that the transition to wind or solar power in the U.S. would require five to 20 times more land than previously thought, and, if such large-scale wind farms were built, would warm average surface temperatures over the continental U.S. by 0.24 degrees Celsius.”

Here’s another problem with wind power that states like Texas and Kansas, that are home to an array of huge wind farms that are now moving into the final years of their useful lives, are about to face:  None of these states have regulations on their books governing the retirement, dismantling and disposal of those gigantic windmills.  That’s right – unless the landowners who leased their lands had the foresight to place such requirements in their lease agreements, these 200 to 700 ft. tall eyesores could simply be left standing to rot away if the wind companies don’t want to bear the expense of removing them.

The more you know about this stuff, the less attractive it becomes, which of course is why your fake news media has desperately avoided telling you about these inconvenient truths.

Just a few weeks ago, they all said this was tantamount to treason. – Everyone does realize that the Republicans have now snookered the Democrats into demonizing the FBI, right?  The ability of these people to literally take a 180 degree turn in their rhetoric without giving it a second thought is truly breathtaking.  And hilarious.  And demented.

You keep using that term.  I don’t think you know what it means. – One of the big news stories that the fake news media studiously ignored on Thursday was the fact that no fewer than 8 people who were in college in the Maryland area during the 1980s have written letters to inform the Senate that “The Devil’s Triangle” reference in Judge Brett Kavanaugh does indeed refer to a drinking game similar to the game of “quarters.”

Yes, friends, it turns out that the entire Democrat Senate caucus – indeed, the entirety of the depraved American Left – got duped by a fake definition of the term that someone had placed in the online “American Urban Dictionary” just days before Christine Ford testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee last week.  Remember that this entire controversy was generated by a brief reference in Judge Kavanaugh’s high school yearbook, and that no fewer than three Democrat committee members – including Feinstein and Leahy – spent their time questioning Kavanaugh on it during the hearing on national freakin’ television.

My goodness.  This is the greatest troll in the history of trolls.

Oh, hey, good of you to give us a head’s up, Steve! – This little bit of news came through at about 7:00 ET last night:

But don’t panic – a few hours after the news broke, Sen. Daines issued a statement in which he says he will be around to vote on Saturday no matter what, which presumably means his poor daughter will have to delay her nuptuals until he can fly back to Montana late in the day on Saturday.

Being the father of a married daughter myself, I admire Sen. Daines for his determination to walk his own daughter down the aisle – it’s one of the biggest moments in any Dad’s life.  But you can imagine the panic among the GOP leadership in the Senate when they learned of Daines’s potential conflict, since they only have a one-vote margin on this confirmation, and the party’s Surrender Caucus of Jeff Flake, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski all remain silent as of this writing on how they plan to vote.

While these fake Republicans dither, their ideological equals on the Democrat side of the aisle are deciding en masse to risk their re-elections by opposing the nomination.  North Dakota’s Heidi Heitcamp woke up Thursday morning to the reality that she’s 12 points down in the latest poll, and just gave up.  Indiana’s Joe Donnelly and Missouri’s Claire McCaskill, both locked in nip and tuck races in their states, had announced their opposition earlier in the week.  Those three seats will all most likely end up becoming GOP gains in November as a result of those decisions.

That’s if – and it remains a big “if” this morning – these three Republican squishes do the right thing and vote to confirm Kavanaugh.  If any two of them do the wrong thing and vote against, then all bets are off.  A win on this nomination will energize the GOP voter base even more than it already has been, but a loss will certainly cause many otherwise-Republican voters to toss up their hands, say “screw ’em” and just stay home.

These next two days are, as President Donald Trump would say, Yuuuuuuuuuge.
