Tuesday News Roundup: A UniParty Impeachment Deal, and Why Ron DeSantis Must Lead the GOP Resistance

Today’s Short-Term Memory Update – Just a reminder that we are now less than 3 weeks away from the 365-day anniversary of “15 Days to Flatten the Curve.”

BREAKING: The UniParty has reached a deal with itself! – The Democrats’ latest impeachment scam attacking Donald Trump is set to start today, as UniParty leaders Democan Chuck Schumer and Republicrat Mitch McConnell reached a deal on what the “rules” for the looming orgy of hyper-partisan slander will look like.

From a story at Politico:

The agreement between Schumer and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, in conjunction with the House impeachment managers and Trump’s lawyers, will allow up to four hours of arguments on Tuesday about the constitutionality of putting a former president on trial. The Senate will then vote on whether the trial is constitutional.

Beginning on Wednesday, each side will have up to 16 hours to lay out their case, spread out over two days per side. Senators will then have four hours to pose questions to the House managers and Trump’s attorneys.

The agreement also allows for the House managers to ask for a debate and subsequent votes on whether to call witnesses — a provision specifically requested by the managers, Schumer said. Later, each side will have two hours to present closing arguments.

[End]

On that last point, Democrats will have to tread lightly on calling witnesses, given that several Republicans – like Lindsey Graham – have threatened to retaliate for any Democrat calling of witnesses by calling an array of prominent Dems to testify, including members of the senate itself:

What is shaping up here is exactly what everyone should have anticipated: Yet another act in the unending farce that is the DC Swamp Kabuki Theater. We already know the outcome – there will not be nearly enough votes to convict the former President of the fraudulent “incitement to insurrection” article of impeachment – and every word uttered by any Democrat will be a bald-faced lie. Because that’s what Democrats do.

Of course, they will have as many as five RINOs voting with them, so they’ll be able to claim it was all “bi-partisan.” But even that word itself is a sham as applied to Washington, DC, since there is in reality only one party in the DC Swamp, and everything it does is scripted in advance.

Are we not entertained?

Where are Texas and Florida on this? – The state legislatures in North Dakota and South Dakota are both currently considering bills that would give their governors extraordinary authority to nullify Biden executive orders that they and their attorneys general deem to be illegal and/or unconstitutional.

From a story at RedState.com:

In other words, if Biden issues an executive order, the state’s attorney general may review the order to determine if it complies with the Constitution. From there, the state will determine if they should seek exemption from the order or challenge the order on constitutional grounds.

The bill goes on to state specifics when it comes to the orders it will “nullify” in the event of constitutional breaches, such as “pandemics or other health emergencies,” regulation of North Dakota’s agriculture industry, any financial orders that relate to environmental or social standards, and “the regulation of the constitutional right to keep and bear arms.”

As a separate but related bill, Republican State Rep. Sebastian Ertelt introduced a similar law that would nullify any federal laws that also breach constitutional authority. HB1282 would create a “Committee on Neutralization of Federal Laws” which would determine the constitutionality of any given federal law and, if found wanting, would proceed to nullify it within the state.

North Dakota isn’t the only state looking to implement these bills into law. South Dakota has cooked up a few of their own bills that effectively do the same thing.

[End]

This is what is known as a good start, but the same approach needs to be taken up by every Red State in America. This is the way for Republicans/conservatives to resist the leftist surge the Biden/Harris people are currently attempting to force upon the American public.

Conservatives are not going to do what Democrats do, and create a terrorist wing (BLM/Antifa) that executes violent riots all over the country on their behalf. The way for conservatives to resist these unconstitutional orders is through the legislative process and the courts, which means that GOP-dominated legislatures and GOP governors will have to suck it up and lead the effort.

It’s one thing for the Dakotas, with their combined populations of less than 2 million Americans, to do this, but what is needed is for Texas and Florida, with their combined populations now in excess of 50 million, to also jump into the fray and lead. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton got off to a good start a few weeks ago with his challenge to Biden’s order to halt all deportations, but a start is all that is. We now need the governors of those states to step in.

There, we will have to hope that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis will lead the way, since Texas Gov. Gregg Abbott has proved to be very timid in really challenging the national orthodoxy. Take it from a Texan: If there is to be a real and viable conservative resistance to the Biden/Harris junta, DeSantis will have to lead it.

Being a leftist crisis actor means never having to say you’re sorry:

What, Robert DeNiro and Alec Baldwin weren’t available? – The great Mollie Hemingway has a terrific takedown of Jeep’s amazingly tone-deaf and hypocritical Super Bowl ad featuring 3-note rock star Bruce Springsteen at The Federalist today. After spending the past four years as a prominent participant in the far-left hate campaign against Donald Trump, Springsteen is not quite the last person Jeep should have selected to feature in an ad calling for national unity, but he’s pretty damn close.

Here’s an excerpt from Hemingway’s piece:

Just before the 2020 election, Springsteen called for “an exorcism in our nation’s capital” as dark music played on his radio show. Of Trump’s presidency, he said, “I thought it was a f—ing nightmare, but it was true.” The episode, titled “Farewell To The Thief,” also insulted President Trump’s family.

The 71-year-old Springsteen told Australians that he would leave the United States and move there if Trump was re-elected.

Springsteen’s posture against Republicans is well known and goes back decades. He was angry at President Ronald Reagan’s positive mention of Springsteen’s “Born In The U.S.A.” He endorsed and campaigned for John Kerry, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden.

Of President George W. Bush in 2008, Springsteen said the United States was now “suffering the consequences” of eight years of rule by a “very radical group of people who pushed things in a very radical direction, had great success in moving things in that direction, and we are suffering the consequences.” By 2016, he was calling President Trump a “moron.” In 2017 he bashed Trump in a protest song.

As one Twitter user put it, “That’s all I could think of, the whole spot. Being preached to by someone who doesn’t respect my views who relishes in suppressing them, having the nerve to pretend to be ‘my community’ and declare unity. They have no idea how transparently cynical the whole thing came across.”

[End]

The choice of a spokesman by Jeep could have been worse, but not a lot worse. I’ve actually bought two Jeeps in my life, but will never even consider buying another one after this cynical display.

That is all.

Joe Manchin: The Dreamy Prom Date Who Doesn’t Show Up

Geez, you mean the Republican version of John McCain wasn’t bad enough? – The reliable leftists at Politico have a story out this morning in which they portray West Virginia Democrat Joe Manchin as the “Democrat version of John McCain.”

Hooboy, spare us that fate, please.

The basic thesis of the piece is that Manchin is a “conservative throwback” to a past generation of Democrats, and a guy who regularly “speaks his mind” and votes against his own party.

Here’s an excerpt:

The West Virginia senator has become the central character in Democrats’ control of Washington, a conservative throwback who speaks his mind and is maddeningly frustrating to liberals. He sided with his party to give them a critical vote toward approving President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion coronavirus stimulus plan, but is already vowing to cut back Democrats’ dreams of a $15 minimum wage and limit who gets direct checks.

“He’s kind of the Democratic version of John McCain,” said Sen. Jon Tester (D-Mont.). “I say that partially in jest. But partially it’s true: Joe’s a hard guy to figure out how to lead. You know? He dances to his own music.”

Like McCain, the moonshine-swigging former quarterback isn’t afraid to let his colleagues know where he stands on a given day, either in the hallways of the Capitol or on cable news airwaves. Manchin often publicly discusses how he’s struggling with issues or tough votes. In a nod to his state, he lives on a boat while in D.C. named “Almost Heaven.”

[End]

But wait: Is this really true? Oh, Manchin certainly talks a good game, as long as Chuck Schumer isn’t hanging around to bully him. But does he actually follow through with the votes when it comes right down to truly being a McCain-style “maverick”?

Not really, no. Hell, just re-read the first paragraph of that excerpt: “The West Virginia senator has become the central character in Democrats’ control of Washington, a conservative throwback who speaks his mind and is maddeningly frustrating to liberals. He sided with his party to give them a critical vote toward approving President Joe Biden’s $1.9 trillion coronavirus stimulus plan, but is already vowing to cut back Democrats’ dreams of a $15 minimum wage and limit who gets direct checks.” [emphasis added]

What does that tell you? Manchin talked a good game about the need to control absurd wasteful spending that permeates that bill, but then when it came time to cast a vote, he was bullied by Schumer into supporting it. That’s not anything like McCain, who had no problem siding with the Democrats whenever it fit his personal political agenda, advanced his own personal interests, and got him a 15-minute appearance with Chris Matthews on MSNBC’s “Hardball.”

That’s not to say Manchin isn’t like McCain in some respects. Witness this two-paragraph passage from the story:

“Joe loves to be in the middle of the action. And if you’re unsure about what he’s thinking in that moment, just turn on any TV set and there he is,” said Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, Manchin’s Republican counterpart from West Virginia.

Making known his dissension from Democratic Party orthodoxy is essential to Manchin’s political survival in a state former President Donald Trump won twice, by roughly 40 points. And though he has long sought to be an essential Senate moderate, he has found mostly frustration during his 10 years as a senator, eventually declaring of the hallowed chamber: “This place sucks.”

[End]

Yes, truly, the most dangerous place in Washington, DC for the final 20 years of his life was to be standing anywhere between John McCain and a TV camera. Today, that is most definitely true of Manchin, who is not even a little bit shy about standing before reporters and talking about his intentions of opposing the Democrat orthodoxy on an array of key issues. As the Politico writers point out, he knows he has to talk a good game to at least provide the appearance of moderation to the voters back home.

But again, when it comes down to actual vote-casting time, the only votes that he is allowed by Schumer to cast against the interests of the Democrat party are those in which he would not be the deciding vote, and thus do not matter.

So, if you’re one of the likely millions of conservatives who are currently hanging their hats on the prospect of good ol’ Joe Manchin killing Democrat wet dreams like repealing the filibuster rule or packing the Supreme Court, you are most likely going to be in for the letdown of your life when those matters actually come up for votes in the senate. Because the truth about Joe Manchin is that he is like McCain only in the sense that he craves attention and says things against his party’s orthodoxy when they serve his personal political agenda and get him a segment or two on MSNBC or CNN.

But when it comes down to sucking it up and casting the votes that would actually make a huge difference for the country, Manchin has always been and will always be useless.

Don’t get all dressed up waiting for Joe Manchin to be your hero, because he is the proverbial dreamy prom date who doesn’t show up.

That is all.

Senate Trump Trial Will Fail, But Divisive Dems Will Move Ahead Anyway

With a deft maneuver today raising a point of order to require a vote of the full Senate to dismiss the sham impeachment case against Donald Trump, Kentucky Senator Rand Paul demonstrated clearly that the divisive Senate Democrats have no chance of obtaining a conviction in their ongoing jihad to keep persecuting the man even after he has left office.

Sen. Paul is at his best when he is focused on being a thorn in the fat butt of Chuck Schumer, and he played that role delightfully today, beginning his parliamentary maneuver with an epic floor speech that should be required viewing for every American:

A true thing of beauty right there.

Then, the vote came, with the motion to dismiss failing when 5 RINOs joined their Democrat partners in opposition. For the record and so you all can know your enemy, here are the names of the 5 RINOs:

– Susan Collins
– Lisa Murkowski
– Mitt Romney
– Ben Sasse
– Patrick Toomey

Seriously, I could have predicted that lineup in my damn sleep. It’s as if Mitch McConnell put out the order to round up the usual suspects.

Casablanca Round Up The Usual Suspects GIF - Casablanca ...

Interestingly, McConnell himself actually voted in favor of Paul’s motion, which directly contradicts his actions and statements in support of this sham impeachment over the past few weeks. Wonder who got to him?

In any event, the vote on the motion can most likely be taken as an extremely accurate predictor of how the ultimate vote to convict will turn out once this farce of a process comes to a bitter end. But the divisive Democrats will move forward anyway, because the point here is not to convict: The point is to divide a hopelessly divided nation even further.

That’s what today’s political left is all about, and frankly what it has been all about for a century now. It’s the only thing they know how to do.

Thursday News Roundup: What Did Pelosi and McConnell Know and When Did They Know It?

Let’s start with a little DC Swamp humor found on Twitter yesterday:

Image may contain: 2 people, closeup, text that says 'D 1 5 MANURE WOMANURE'

It’s just perfect, really.

Coverage of the DC Swamp UniParty’s second sham impeachment of President Donald Trump can be found here and here.

The Little Menace to Society pushes the goal posts even further down the field. – If you’re planning any actual vacation trips or attending events at the local theater anytime in 2021, you might want to cool your heels on that action.

The little menace to American society Anthony Fauci is already pushing the next virus:

Well, of course. The “new strain” of the virus supposedly imported from England hasn’t taken hold of the public’s imagination, so now Fauci switches to the tactic of claiming America has somehow developed a completely unique strain of its own.

Just accept it: The Swamp wants to keep you cowering in your homes and wearing masks forever. This madness will not end until it is ended by force. And one of the myriad disastrous consequences of the fraudulent election we’ve just experienced is that the people who want to keep you in that sorry state will soon be in control of the armed forces of the United States.

It’s cleanup time at Twitter, everyone! – A week after his company coordinated in monopolistic fashion with other Big Tech giants to de-platform President Donald Trump and destroy Parler, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey was out on the hustings trying to do some half-assed cleanup because Twitter’s stock is tanking.

From a story at DailyWire:

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey acknowledged in a statement on Wednesday evening that his company’s decision to ban President Donald Trump from the platform set a “dangerous” precedent and said that it was ultimately a “failure” by the company to “promote healthy conversation.”

Dorsey’s remarks come after the company has taken a hit in its value since banning the president last week, following a riot that broke out at the U.S. Capitol.

“I do not celebrate or feel pride in our having to ban @realDonaldTrump from Twitter, or how we got here. After a clear warning we’d take this action, we made a decision with the best information we had based on threats to physical safety both on and off Twitter,” Dorsey wrote. “Was this correct? I believe this was the right decision for Twitter. We faced an extraordinary and untenable circumstance, forcing us to focus all of our actions on public safety. Offline harm as a result of online speech is demonstrably real, and what drives our policy and enforcement above all.”

“That said, having to ban an account has real and significant ramifications. While there are clear and obvious exceptions, I feel a ban is a failure of ours ultimately to promote healthy conversation. And a time for us to reflect on our operations and the environment around us,” he continued. “Having to take these actions fragment the public conversation. They divide us. They limit the potential for clarification, redemption, and learning. And sets a precedent I feel is dangerous: the power an individual or corporation has over a part of the global public conversation.”

Dorsey claimed that the company did not coordinate with other tech companies with its decision to ban the president and that other companies either made their own choices or “were emboldened by the actions of others.”

[End]

All of that is, of course, an outright lie, especially the part about not coordinating with the other Big Tech firms. This is just the CEO of a major corporation reading the talking points handed to him by his enormous staff of talking points monkeys in an effort to prevent the company from continuing to bleed billions of dollars in market value every day.

Sadly, he’ll probably succeed in that effort.

I’d rather have a prostate exam than watch this:

Futile Gesture of the Week Award goes to…

Talk about a waste of time and energy – that effort has about as much chance of succeeding as this year’s Houston Rockets.

Today’s Short-Term Memory Reminder – Just a reminder that, on January 5, the day before the riot took place at the U.S. Capitol when the small contingent of Capitol Police guarding the building were overwhelmed by a crowd of thousands, Washington DC Mayor Muriel Bowser did this:

Oh.

So, as you continue to hear and see the corrupt news media claim that President Trump delayed calling out the National Guard to help secure the Capitol, know that the communist Democrat Mayor of the City had specifically and publicly discouraged making any such move just 24 hours earlier.

Everyone in the nation’s capitol knew that upwards of a million people were going to descend on the city on January 6 as congress debated whether or not to accept the clearly fraudulent electoral vote, and that professional agitators would certainly be in their midst. The FBI and Department of Justice admitted on Monday that they had been monitoring social media platforms and were aware in advance of plans by some agitators on both the left and the right to mount an effort to storm the Capitol. As is the habit of the raging dumpster fire of corruption and incompetence that is the FBI, it chose to do nothing more than send out the most rudimentary, standard warnings to the Capitol Police and other law enforcement officials.

There was no reason whatsoever for the Capitol building to have been left so lightly-guarded, other than the Mayor of DC’s refusal to beef up the Capitol Police in advance. We do not know right now if Mayor Bowser had been made aware of the FBI’s warning before January 6 or not, nor do we know what Majority Leader McConnell and Speaker Pelosi knew in advance of the riot.

Given that Pelosi has now staged a second impeachment scam based on the riot, and McConnell has expressed his own support of that effort, it is crucial that we find out whether they were warned in advance of the threat and chose to do nothing to prevent it, since that in and of itself might amount to at best an act of criminal negligence.

But you can be sure that it will be a cold day in hell before anyone at the FBI or DOJ will deliver that information to the public. After all, the interests of the DC Swamp UniParty are paramount. You little people can go pound sand.

Trump’s Second Impeachment Won’t End the DC Swamp’s Delirium Towards Him

Delirium tremens

Delirium tremens is a rapid onset of confusion usually caused by withdrawal from alcohol.  Physical effects may include shaking, shivering, irregular heart rate, and sweating.

The shocking election of Donald Trump to the presidency in 2016 threw the DC Swamp into a state of political delirium. The threat Trump presented of forcing members in good standing of the DC UniParty to have to face withdrawal from their narcotic of ill-gotten financial gains via the Swamp’s broad variety of influence peddling schemes immediately threw every Swamp rat and snake and skunk into some or all of the symptoms described above.

Already frightened by his very presence as a contender for the Republican Party’s nomination that year, the Swamp began its efforts to take him out at the Obama FBI and DOJ with the whole illegal Crossfire Hurricane spying on his campaign. Such efforts increased exponentially upon his election, and continued to be mounted across the entirety of his presidency. Not a day went by without some facet of the never-ending coup d’etat being active, and it continued yesterday with a second sham impeachment vote in the House of Representatives, a vote that happened without the holding of a single hearing on the matter.

Some are saying this morning that that sham vote without a second of due process will be the end of it. They are wrong.

Well, at least he’s consistent. – Tom Cotton likely damaged his political future last week through his refusal to oppose the clearly fraudulent electoral vote that had been submitted to congress by the states of Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Georgia and Arizona. The Senator from Arkansas said at the time that he believed his duty to uphold the constitution prevent his taking that step, an argument that is at best highly questionable.

On Wednesday, Cotton made the same argument in explaining his opposition to the Senate taking up yet another impeachment trial against President Donald Trump, whose term has just 6 days remaining. “Last week, I opposed the effort to reject certified electoral votes for the same reason — fidelity to the Constitution — I now oppose impeachment proceedings against a former president,” Cotton said.

In a statement released late Wednesday, Cotton said that the Senate simply lacks the constitutional authority to take up such a trial once the President has left office, and that its rules prevent it from even starting a trial, much less finishing one, before his term ends on January 20.

From a story at The Hill:

Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.), an influential conservative and possible contender for the White House in 2024, says the Senate lacks constitutional authority to hold an impeachment trial for President Trump once he leaves office.

“The Senate lacks constitutional authority to conduct impeachment proceedings against a former president. The Founders designed the impeachment process as a way to remove officeholders from public office — not an inquest against private citizens,” Cotton said in a statement Wednesday evening.

Cotton’s rationale for not voting to convict Trump once he leaves office will likely become political cover for other GOP senators to vote against a House-passed article of impeachment, even if they think Trump might have committed impeachable offenses.

Cotton in his statement Wednesday evening also argued that the Senate would not be able to conclude a trial of Trump in the next six days.

“The House has passed an article of impeachment against the president, but the Senate under its rules and precedents cannot start and conclude a fair trial before the president leaves office next week,” he said.

The House voted 232 to 197 Wednesday to impeach Trump a second time, with 10 Republican lawmakers voting in favor of the article, which charged Trump with inciting insurrection after a pro-Trump mob overtook the U.S. Capitol last week.

[End]

Cotton’s argument here is of course correct, but ignores the reality that this sham impeachment effort is not about removing Trump from office, but about preventing him from ever holding the office again in the future. So, while current Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will delay his way out of having to take this one up, we should expect new Majority Leader Chuck Schumer to do so when he assumes that job thanks to the fraudulent election on January 20.

As Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan pointed out during his floor speech yesterday, the Democrat/media/Big Tech/UniParty joint effort to remove Trump from office started just 19 minutes into his term on January 20, 2017, and it has never relented since:

“19 minutes, 19 minutes, four years ago on inauguration day, January 20th, 2017, 19 minutes into President Trump’s administration at 12:19 PM, the Washington Post headline was, ‘Campaign to impeach President Trump has begun.'” Jordan said.  “And now with just one week left, they’re still trying. In seven days, there will be a peaceful transfer of power, just like there has been every other time in our country, but Democrats are going to impeach President Trump, again.”

Understand this: Even after Trump leaves office, the effort to persecute him and destroy him will continue until he is either put away in prison or dead. Because the DC Swamp must make an example of him, as a warning to voters to never send anyone like him its way again. Trump threatened the very existence of everything the Swamp and its UniParty members in good standing have built over the last century, placing the entire house of cards in danger of tumbling down. Merely removing him from office was never going to be the end game. The end game is to completely destroy him and his family.

So if you’re thinking that this second impeachment scam will finally bring all the madness and delirium to a blessed end, you’re thinking about it all wrong. This is merely Act II of a theatrical tragedy that has several more acts to run.

That is all.

Sunday News Roundup: Murkowski Betrays the Nation; the Truth About the Capitol Riot is Complicated

Can we just trade Lisa Murkowski for Tulsi Gabbard? – Just a reminder that freedom of speech is being eliminated in real time right out in the open, and Alaska RINO Sen. Lisa Murkowski is spending her time talking about impeaching a President who is the main target of Big Tech.

From a story at NPR:

Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska has become the first Republican senator to call on President Trump to resign in the wake of the deadly insurrection this week at the U.S. Capitol, according to two separate, blistering interviews with publications from her home state, the Anchorage Daily News and Alaska Public Media.

Murkowski joins a chorus of Democrats who have said Trump should step down, less than two weeks before President-elect Joe Biden’s Jan. 20 inauguration.

[End]

Responding to the calls for impeachment from Murkowski and her comrades in the Democrat Party, Missouri Senator Roy Blunt said impeachment “is not going to happen,” at least before the end of President Trump’s term on January 20.

From a story at The Hill:

Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Mo.) on Friday dismissed calls to impeach President Trump in the wake of riots inside the U.S. Capitol, signaling that the effort will ultimately fall short.

“No, I think it’s a ridiculous discussion to have. I’ve got enough decisions to make about things that can happen rather than to spend time on things that can’t happen,” Blunt told a Missouri TV station when asked if he supported removing Trump and if Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) would bring the Senate back before Jan. 19.

“The Speaker knows this is not going to happen. Sen. Schumer knows this isn’t going to happen. You don’t have the time for it to happen, even if there was a reason. So there’s no reason to debate this except just pure politics,” Blunt added, referring to Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.).

Blunt added in a separate interview with KSHB, another Missouri TV station, that impeaching Trump was “not going to happen.”

[End]

Meanwhile, others in the Democrat party are actually entertaining the concept of the House impeaching the President before Inauguration Day on Jan. 20, and then the Senate taking up a trial and attempting to convict President Trump when Chuck Schumer assumes nominal control in the new congress. That would be the height of DC Swamp Kabuki Theater absurdity, of course, but no one should assume this bunch of depraved, demented, despicable Democrats won’t take us there.

Still think Antifa/BLM weren’t involved in what happened on Wednesday at the Capitol Building? – If you do, you’re almost certainly a Democrat, and thus incapable of allowing yourself to learn the actual truth, but here goes nothing anyway.

Andy Ngo reports that the Antifa/BLM thug who organized the Provo, Utah riots last summer during which one person was shot was in the Capitol Building on Wednesday during the riot there:

Who you gonna believe? The corrupt news media or your own lyin’ eyes? If you’re a Democrat, you’re gonna throw in with the creepy liars at CNN.

Welcome to the Capitol Building! The Capitol Police welcome you into our humble home! – What is up with these videos?

Looks pretty suspicious, for sure. What were the rules of engagement that the Capitol Police were working under on Wednesday, and who set those rules? That’s a question no one will likely answer anytime soon.

But, if you’re going to keep filling my in-box with videos like those in an effort to play down what took place at the Capitol on Wednesday, then you should also acknowledge this:

…and this:

…and this:

There is no way to justify or rationalize what took place on Wednesday, folks. It was a bad, bad scene, and two people are dead as the result of it. That can’t just be wiped away.

Yes, Antifa/BLM were involved and likely led the charge, but well over a thousand Trump supporters clearly followed them. Yes, the corrupt news media is lying about everything that took place, but the President himself helped provide the opening for them to do that. Yes, Big Tech is now using it all as a false basis for destroying the right to free speech in America, but the President and Republicans in congress had four long years to do something about Section 230, and did nothing.

It’s a complicated world, and the truth is that everyone must share the blame for the situation in which we currently find ourselves. The Democrats and the corrupt media and the Big Tech oligarchs have all the power now, and they are going to happily and brutishly wield it against all of us, including all you leftist dimwits who are currently sitting out there thinking you are somehow immune from the impacts.

Boy, are y’all in for a big surprise.

Dems/Media Ramp Up the Drumbeat to Remove Trump

As I pointed out this morning, the Democrats and their corrupt toadies in the media are moving swiftly now to try to have President Donald Trump removed from office prior to the end of his term in office on January 20th. Over the past few hours, Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer have issued calls for the President’s removal via the 25th amendment or impeachment, and China Joe Biden just gave a highly inflammatory speech in which he essentially labeled President Trump and his supporters as traitors:

The 25th amendment route is really the only potential vehicle that could be used to achieve the DC Swamp’s goal of getting rid of Trump before January 20, given that any impeachment/removal effort by the house and senate would consume weeks of time. The trouble with the 25th amendment route is the likelihood that several cabinet officials who would have to support such an effort are considering resigning, a process that already began today. From a story at Fox News:

Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao announced Thursday that she is stepping down from her post, a day after the rioting on Capitol Hill — making her the latest member of the administration to resign over Trump’s conduct, and the first Cabinet member to do so.

“Yesterday, our country experienced a traumatic and entirely avoidable event as supporters of the President stormed the Capitol building following a rally he addressed,” she said in a statement.

“As I’m sure is the case with many of you, it has deeply troubled me in a way that I simply cannot set aside.”

[End]

We can expect to see additional cabinet officials walking away in the days to come. Given that an effort to take out a president using the 25th amendment requires by necessity come continuity of the players involved and the cooperation of Vice President Mike Pence, it seems unlikely to succeed. While Pence might be inclined to do so with all other considerations being equal, he still likely harbors presidential aspirations of his own and has know that any such cooperation would sound the death knell for his political career.

But none of that will prevent Pelosi, Schumer, Biden and the other Swamp creatures from continuing to try. Trump handed them a rope yesterday, and they will certainly do everything they can to try to hang him with it.

That is all.

Saturday News Roundup: Joe Biden Understands That Pork is What Makes Congress’s World Go Round

Man, that’s a damn odd side effect, doc. – Watch out for that Moderna vaccine, folks. Turns out it does weird stuff to your eyes, according to Dr. Qanta Ahmed, who appeared on Fox & Friends Saturday morning:

Ok, that’s a joke. Everyone get it? Don’t send me any nasty emails like some of you did in response to that bit of satire I posted about Nakatomi Plaza on Christmas eve. Thanks.

I’m just waiting for the FBI to tell me what happened so I can know for certain sure what didn’t happen. – That’s honestly how I feel about the FBI “investigation” into the bombing in Nashville that took place on Christmas morning. Whatever the FBI tells us, we can be pretty much 100% certain that it is not correct. Whether it’s just out of gross incompetence or outright lying, we can all rest assured that the FBI under Christopher Wray will put out a narrative about the bombing that will be false. Because that’s what the FBI does in the 21st Century – it is the Bureau’s true core competency.

Nashville PD sent out this tweet late Friday Night identifying what they believe is the vehicle that exploded:

It looks like about a 30-year-old RV, which means this could all be the plot of some network TV show gone terribly wrong. [Seriously, you can always predict which car on a network TV show is going to be wrecked, run off of a bridge or exploded simply because it is always the only car shown on that particular episode that is more than 15 years-old. The networks do not blow up or wreck brand new automobiles because they’re too expensive. However, they do wreck or blow up brand new cars on cable or Netflix. It’s a rule or something.]

Ok, no, obviously this is a serious deal and it’s just a damn shame our country no longer possesses a serious and competent federal law enforcement agency to investigate what was clearly a terrorist attack of some sort anymore. What we will get instead is some narrative written on the 7th floor of the J. Edgar Hoover Building and fed to the hundreds of FBI/Intel Community plants that work in all of the national media outlets once the agency figures out that this attack on one of America’s great cities was committed by some clown or group of clowns that they’ve had under surveillance for several years and did nothing about.

Because that’s what always happens with attacks like this and the FBI-led “investigations” that follow. It’s all butt-covering all the time at your FBI.

This is the only time anyone in congress pays attention to a presidential budget request.  – Democans and Republicrats in congress are out in the corrupt news media claiming – as NY Cong. Peter King did yesterday – that all of the pork requests contained in their $2.4 trillion looting of the U.S. treasury were contained in the presidential budget request.

Yes, friends, that would be the same presidential budget request that basically every member of congress declared to be “dead on arrival” when it was issued back in February or March. But that was then and this is now, and now they want to pretend that a $2.4 trillion package that contains less than $350 billion in actual COVID relief funding is an emergency for the constituents back home, constituents who these very same members of congress helped to put out of work.

San Fran Nan and Chuck Schumer are out there pretending to be trying to accommodate the President’s demand to beef up the amount of one-time payments to certain Americans from $600 to $2000 by proposing legislation that would do only that. They of course ignore President Trump’s demand that all the billions in wasteful spending be cut out of the legislation at the same time.

Because, let’s face it: Pork spending is how members of congress buy favors from foreign governments and domestic corporations. That $150 million that congress approved to spend on “gender studies” in Burma is in that bill because some member or members of congress want to bribe the Burmese government in exchange for some future favor, such as the ability to buy in to some sweet real estate or other business deal at a bargain basement price. That’s why that money is in that bill, not for any altruist reason.

This is how members of congress whose only visible means of making a living is the ~$175,000 annual salary the receive manage to become fabulously wealthy after just a few years in public “service.” It’s how Dianne Feinstein and her husband have managed to become worth upwards of a billion dollars. It’s how San Fran Nan can afford that palatial, walled-un San Francisco estate, and $30k worth of refrigerators. It’s how Harry Reid, who was near-dead-broke when first elected to congress, retired as a hundred millionaire.

Pork spending, and the favors it buys at taxpayer expense, is what makes serving in congress worth doing for most of the people who ended up getting elected to one of those 535 seats.

President Trump doubled down yesterday on his demands to beef up the COVID payments and cut the pork. Anyone who believes congress is going to give up that pork spending doesn’t understand why these people ran for those jobs in the first place. The Democans and Republicrats will gladly just keep trying to shunt blame off onto the current President for the next 25 days and then pass the same set of bills all over again when the next president is installed on January 20.

Because, if that next President is China Joe Potato Head Biden, they know without any doubt at all that those bills will be signed, albeit with a gentleman’s agreement on the understanding that the “Big Guy” gets a cut of the future kickbacks.

That is all.

Cancel the Amy Coney Barrett Hearings, Now

Just one more reason why these hearings should not be held. – Well, two reasons, actually, that the Democrats in the Senate provided to Mitch McConnell and Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham on Monday. Two glaring reasons why the Judiciary Committee hearings on the Amy Coney Barrett nomination should be cancelled now, today, and the nomination should immediately be taken to the Senate floor for an up-or-down vote.

Reason #1 was provided by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, who told fawning fake reporters that he and his fellow Democrats would boycott any votes in committee or on the floor related to the nomination. Ok, well, given that, what’s the point of hearings? If every member of the minority party has made up his or her mind on the nomination and will not even show up to vote on it, why allow this farce to go on?

As I’ve pointed out before, there is no requirement for the Judiciary Committee to hold these hearings. They are a matter of Senate process, not constitutional law. In the past, the point of holding such hearings was to vet the nominee and allow the committee to render a studied judgment on his or her qualifications for the job. The point of that judgment was so that the Committee as a whole could issue a recommendation to the full Senate on whether or not to confirm the nominee. Given that not a single member of the committee – Republican or Democrat – has an open mind on the incredibly well-qualified nominee, there is no point to holding these hearings.

Besides, Judge Barrett was just vetted for her seat on the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals three short years ago, and was confirmed on a bipartisan vote. How much more does this committee need to know?

This takes us to Reason #2: The Democrats made a strategic decision at Monday’s hearing to simply turn it into a campaign event revolving around the Affordable Care Act, aka, Obamacare. Every Democrat on the Committee used their 10 minute opening statements as a commercial for the ACA and why they think it should be retained. Every one of them read comments written for them by some staffer, all based on the same ACA-centered talking points. Only a handful even bothered to discuss the nomination and Judge Barrett’s qualifications in any real way.

It’s a campaign event, not a hearing. They’re focusing on the ACA instead of their real driving issue – abortion on demand, including infanticide after birth – because Obamacare polls more favorably for them than abortion does. It really is that simple.

Thus, lacking any cogent, legitimate arguments why Judge Barrett should not be confirmed, they stage a campaign rally and then promise to take their ball and go home like that pathetic little kid who lived down the street from you when you were in second grade.

McConnell and Graham should take this childish behavior by their “friends” on the other side as an opportunity to invite them all to go home. If they wish to stage campaign events related to Obamacare, then they should pay for them from their own campaign funds. There is no valid reason for Senate Republicans to enable them and allow them to conduct this joint rally on government time.

This farce should end, now.

That is all.

Why the Senate Should Confirm Judge Amy Coney Barrett This Week

“I clerked for Justice Scalia more than 20 years ago, and the lessons I learned still resonate. His judicial philosophy is mine, too. A judge must apply the law as written. Judges are not policymakers, and they must be resolute in setting aside any policy views they might hold…I love the United States, and I love the United States Constitution.” – Judge Amy Coney Barrett yesterday.

That 100 word statement describes in a nutshell why Democrats and their America-hating toadies in the corrupt news media hate Judge Amy Coney Barrett and will do anything they can come up with to smear and slander her. The Constitution, and a strict interpretation of its actual words, has been anathema to the Democrat Party since Woodrow Wilson was elected in 1912. It is in fact a bane on that Party’s very existence.

With Senate Democrats lining up to announce they will not only oppose her nomination, but that they will also refuse to even meet with her when she makes the traditional courtesy visits to members of the Senate Judiciary Committee and other key senators, Lindsey Graham announced on Saturday that his committee hearings on Judge Barrett’s nomination will start on October 12. If Graham is saying that publicly, then that means he has the sign-off from Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to proceed with those hearings.

My only question is, why? Why are Senate Republicans agreeing to hold committee hearings at all on a nomination whose ultimate outcome is a fait accompli? No Democrat will support Barrett’s confirmation. Joe Manchin will make noises about doing that, but he will ultimately allow Chuck Schumer to bully him one more time into marching along with the rest of the Democrat Senate fascists, because that is what Joe Manchin does.

Meanwhile, with Lisa Murkowski now coming around in the face of a primary threat from Sara Palin, only one Republican Senator, Susan Collins (of course), is even implying she might not support Barrett’s confirmation before Election Day. Mitt Romney may ultimately fink out and cast his wormy lot with the Democrats just as he did in their impeachment scam, but that won’t be enough.

Mitch McConnell has the votes to confirm Judge Barrett to the Supreme Court on Monday. That would be the logical thing to do in this case since the Court convenes for its 2020-21 session on the first Monday in October, just 8 days from now. The goal of the U.S. Senate should always be that it acts as expeditiously as possible to ensure the Court always has its full compliment of 9 justices.

But what about the vetting process? Good lord, Judge Barrett was confirmed to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals just three years ago, and was thoroughly vetted at that time. She even received the confirmation votes of 3 Democrats – along with every Senate Republican, including Collins and Murkowski (Romney was not in the Senate in 2017) – for that high profile appointment. There is literally no valid reason at all for the Judiciary Committee to go through that process all over again.

The Democrats desperately want these hearings for the sole reason that they would then be able to create the same sort of character assassination circus that they did with Brett Kavanaugh and, to a slightly lesser extent, Neil Gorsuch, President Trump’s first two nominees. McConnell has exactly zero obligation or duty to provide the Democrats that platform.

Many Republicans argue that the creation of another confirmation hearing slander circus would be bad for the Democrats politically, and that’s probably true. But this is a woman’s life we are talking about here. Politics should not be the main consideration. Judge Barrett is a wife and mother of 7 children, children who should not be subjected to the kind of abuse and smearing the Democrats and their activists will throw at them and their mother in the lead-up to and conduct of such hearings.

Judge Barrett is an extremely well-qualified jurist who has led an exemplary American life. There are no valid arguments to make otherwise. She also has already very recently been vetted and confirmed to a seat on a U.S. Appellate Court by the U.S. Senate.

The Judiciary Committee hearing should be cancelled. Judge Barrett should be confirmed this week and seated on the Court when it convenes on the First Monday in October.

That is all.

McConnell Should Deny the Democrats Their Judiciary Committee Circus

There is a growing debate over whether or not Mitch McConnell should discard the committee process on President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee and simply take the vote to the floor of the Senate. Here’s why I support a middle ground position on that question.

Contrary to popular belief, there is no constitutional requirement for the Senate Judiciary Committee to hold hearings on any nominee by the President. This is true of all positions, whether they be political appointees to run the federal bureaucracy or judicial appointees at the district, appellate and Supreme Court levels.

Here is the text of the Constitution’s Appointments Clause in its entirety:

“… and [the President] shall nominate, and by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, shall appoint Ambassadors, other public Ministers and Consuls, Judges of the supreme Court, and all other Officers of the United States, whose Appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be established by Law: but the Congress may by Law vest the Appointment of such inferior Officers, as they think proper, in the President alone, in the Courts of Law, or in the Heads of Departments.”

Not a word in there about committees or hearings. The role of the Senate is to provide its “advice and consent,” on nominations, nothing more. That advice and consent can take any form that has the approval of a majority of current senators.

The committee process is nothing more than a construct of Senate rules and tradition. Democrats made clear they don’t give a damn about those things when Harry Reid and Chuck Schumer led the effort to end the filibuster for judicial nominees, a senate rule and tradition that had stood for well over a century. Schumer and other Democrat senators have also made clear that they plan to end the filibuster entirely the next time they gain a majority in that chamber.

So, to hell with Senate rules and traditions.

The nation’s voters have chosen to give the GOP a clear Senate majority in each of the last three election cycles, expanding that majority in 2018 after the despicable display the Democrats put on in the Judiciary Committee hearings related to Brett Kavanaugh. The corrupt news media studiously ignores the fact that each and every Democrat senator who participated in the smearing of Kavanaugh during those 2018 hearings and was up for re-election in a close race that year was defeated. It was the clearest statement of disapproval the voters could send of Democrat tactics – which included the active subornation of perjury by Christine Blasey Ford and others – that held the nation hostage for a week during those hearings.

Indeed, the Democrat conduct in Supreme Court nomination hearings has become increasingly depraved and demented related to every GOP presidential appointment since 1987, when Joe Biden – then chairman of the Judiciary Committee – led the dishonest smearing of Reagan nominee Robert Bork. Emboldened by that success, Biden-led Democrats conducted their “high-tech lynching” of Clarence Thomas in 1991, again including the active subornation of perjury by Anita Hill. Things have only gone downhill from that low moment.

If he has the votes to confirm the Trump nominee, why should Mitch McConnell allow the Democrats to put the nation and the nominee through what would certainly become another Kavanaugh-like smearing conducted by the likes of Kamala Harris and Cory Booker and Dianne Feinstein?

Some will contend that the cancellation of hearings would lead the Democrats to declare the nominee to be “illegitimate.” Well, hell, they did that with Kavanaugh. Who can forget Nancy Pelosi and Jabba the Nadler promising to impeach Kavanaugh after they obtained their House majority in 2018? We should not forget that kind of thing so quickly and easily.

Besides, Pelosi and Chuck Schumer and Biden himself have already made it perfectly clear that they are going to smear the new Trump appointee as illegitimate regardless of the circumstances surrounding her confirmation. The tactic is going to be the tactic regardless of how the process is run.

With the announcements by Cory Gardner, Lamar Alexander and Rand Paul that they will support whatever confirmation process McConnell chooses to implement in the case of this nominee, it is now clear that the GOP has at least 50 votes to confirm the new justice before Election Day. Those votes, plus the tiebreaking vote by Vice President Mike Pence, are all McConnell needs to put this nominee on the Court.

So, why schedule committee hearings at all, given the short time frame and the pressing need to have a fully-constituted Supreme Court that could end up deciding the ultimate outcome of the presidential election?

Here’s why you schedule an initial hearing: To give the Democrats the chance to hoist themselves on their own petard. Democrats have all sorts of tools under Senate rules to try to delay the process. McConnell should work with Chairman Lindsey Graham to quickly schedule an initial hearing, and at the same time make it crystal clear that he will simply bring the nomination to the floor of the Senate if Democrats try to delay that process. Give them one chance to conduct themselves with the dignity that used to be expected from a U.S. senator, but give Graham the full authority to adjourn the process the moment the Democrats inevitably begin their effort to smear the nominee.

When that happens – and it would happen – McConnell should then immediately schedule a floor vote and deny the Democrats their circus.

Yes, the howls of outrage from the Democrats and their media toadies would be loud and fierce, but they are going to be loud and fierce regardless. This nomination and confirmation are an exercise in political power. For once, McConnell and his GOP caucus should exercise that power with no quarter given to their Democrat “friends.”

That is all.

Marco Rubio Flexes his DC Swamp Muscle

As if we needed another example of Senate Republican mendacity, we got one yesterday. – The Washington Examiner reported Monday that Marco Rubio, Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI), is refusing to share information from the SSCI’s “Russia Collusion” investigation with his fellow committee chairmen.

Ron Johnson, Chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, and Chuck Grassley, who will re-take the chairmanship of the Senate Judiciary Committee in January from the worthless Lindsey Graham, had requested via a letter to Rubio and SSCI ranking Democrat Mark Warner that SSCI share some of its records with their committees in order to further their investigations into Spygate/Obamagate. Yesterday, Rubio and Warner rejected that request in a letter of their own.

From the Washington Examiner story:

The Republican and Democratic leaders on the Senate Intelligence Committee rejected a broad request from two Republican Senate leaders seeking access to the panel’s records to assist in their investigation into the Trump-Russia investigators.

Acting Chairman Marco Rubio of Florida and Vice Chairman Mark Warner of Virginia rejected a late August letter from Senate Homeland Security Chairman Ron Johnson of Wisconsin and Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley of Iowa, who said that they “respect the authority” of the Senate Intelligence Committee to protect its interests, adding that “ultimately, we have the right as United States Senators” to access the records.

“We note that your request of the Committee is made pursuant to Senate Rule 26, but fails to account for the unique authorities and obligations invested in this Committee through Senate Resolution 400 and respected over decades of Senate and Committee practice,” Rubio and Warner responded. “Accordingly, we must reject the absolutist interpretation of Rule 26 that you propose. If this Committee elects to share materials that it has collected and generated in the course of its investigation into Russia’s efforts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election, it will do so pursuant to these long-standing Committee rules, and specifically, the joint agreement of the Chairman and the Vice Chairman.”

Rubio and Warner added: “Independent of whether that agreement is forthcoming, our position on this matter obviously does not preclude you from pursuing your own investigation, using your own authorities, as you see fit, within the confines of your committees’ jurisdictions.”

[End]

So, here we have the spectacle of one Senate committee refusing to share information with another Senate committee, and a Republican committee chairman allowing his authority to be subsumed by the ranking member of the minority party. Why doesn’t Mitch McConnell just formally name Warner the SSCI chairman since he is obviously functioning in that role?

To be clear, Senate Rule 26 requires committees to cross-share information with other committees when such requests are made, but Rubio is allowing Warner to claim that SSCI-adopted “rules” – specifically a deal made between Warner and insider-trading cheat/ex-SSCI Chairman Richard Burr – supersede a rule adopted by the full Senate.

What is really happening here is that the SSCI in general, and Warner/Burr/Rubio specifically were active participants in the Deep State coup d’etat effort led by the DOJ/FBI cabal from late 2016 through early 2019. These senators inevitably created a paper trail of their mendacity during that time frame, some of which would inevitably make its way into the documentation of their committee’s fake investigation. SSCI’s “investigation” was really nothing but an effort to provide cover for the Mueller Special Counsel criminal operation and the seditious actions of Rod Rosenstein and James Comey.

SSCI is an utterly corrupt operation whose real goal is to protect Senate interests in the graft factory that is the DC Swamp, and the profits it generates to Senators of both parties. Which is why its Republican and Democrat members were so carefully selected by Mitch McConnell and Chuck Schumer.

This refusal by Rubio and Warner to share key information with their colleagues is just a part of the protective role the SSCI plays for Senators of both parties.

It is the very definition of DC Swamp kabuki theater.

The Real Reason Why Pelosi Won’t Call the House Back Into Session

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

You understand why San Fran Nan won’t call the House back in session, right? It’s because she and Chuck Schumer are trying to shame Mitch McConnell into keeping the Senate shut down.

Why? Well, it’s obvious: They want to keep the Senate shut down in order to prevent the confirmation of President Trump’s judicial nominees and other key nominees like John Ratcliffe, who is up to become the Director of National Intelligence.

Luckily, McConnell is having none of it, and called the Senate back into session this week with his main goal to specifically get those nominees moving again. He understands that it is crucial for the nation to get back to some semblance of normalcy as soon as possible in order to avoid a massive economic depression, and that America won’t get back to some semblance of normalcy if its elected leaders are all holed up in their basements like Joe Biden and Chris Cuomo.

But Democrats are different – make no mistake about it. They don’t care about people dying or 30 million Americans having been put out of jobs; all they care about is politics. After all, the Wuhan Virus is killing mainly old people, and old people happen to be mostly Republican voters. Democrats like Pelosi and Schumer see this and their only thought is that man, this could really tilt a few congressional races in November if enough old people die in the right districts.

Those 30 million additional unemployed? To your typical Democrat politician, their only thought is that that is one huge target-rich environment of potential Democrat voters. If they can just keep enough of those 30 million on unemployment until November it could be an electoral gold mine.

Am I being overly cynical here, unfair to your Democrat “friends”? Not really. Take a look at this great graphic I found on Twitter the other day:

Image may contain: 7 people, possible text that says 'ABORTION THE DEMOCRATIC RESPONSE το EMERGENCY 1.) CLOSE CHURCHES AND GUN STORES 2.) KEEP MURDERING BABIES CLINICS. 3.) RELEASE FELONS. 4.) LOCK UP CITIZENS. 5.) SUBSIDIZE ILLEGAL ALIENS. 6.) BAN POTENTIALLY LIFE SAVING DRUGS. 7.) FUND THE KENNEDY CENTER. 8.) BUY PPE FROM CHINA. 9.) GIVE THEMSELVES A RAISE. 10.) BLOCK RELIEF FUNDS FOR SMALL BUSINESS. 11.) GO ON VACATION. 12.) INVESTIGATE TRUMP AGAIN. imgflip.co'

Now, the saddest part of this list is that each and every element of it is 100% true. Go ahead – try to convince me otherwise.

What’s more, the list is far from comprehensive. Here are some other items you could add to it:

13. Tried to give more money to Planned Parenthood.

14. Tried to insert language mandating “ballot harvesting”, i.e., voter fraud, into two stimulus bills.

15. Outlawed the use of motor boats to appease climate change alarmists.

16. Shut down beaches despite the knowledge that heat and sunlight kill the virus.

17. Shut down public parks and then went for walks in them.

18. Shut down “unnecessary” travel and then flew the governor of Illinois’ family to a posh resort in Florida.

19. Threatened to arrest people for “crimes” they have made up out of whole cloth.

The list could go on and on: The point is that, while President Trump and his task force have been working 100 hours a week for the last 3 months trying to save lives and deal with this pandemic, the Democrats have been working 100 hours a week doing little but trying to find ways to take political advantage of this tragic situation and extend it out for as long as possible. This is who they are; it is what they do.

We’ve noted this many times, but it deserves noting again: They are only able function in this despicable mode because of the fact that they literally own the nation’s news media. It’s why Pelosi had zero concerns about needlessly delaying two different stimulus bills while millions suffered: Because there was no political price to be paid for doing so.

Hell, people who get all their news from CNN, MSNBC, ABC and CBS didn’t even know she was doing it. With no one in the media working to hold them accountable, Democrat politicians no longer have a social filter. What’s more, they know their core voters have been so brainwashed by these corrupt media outlets that there is nothing they can do, no act so repugnant, to make them vote for anyone else.

You don’t have to believe me – just take a look at this tweet from Harvey Weinstein’s attack dog Democrat lawyer Lisa Bloom:

This is Democrat core voters in a nutshell: They know Biden abused, harassed and raped Tara Reade, but they don’t care. If Biden’s the nominee, they’re voting for him anyway. Because Trump. And maybe science or something.

This is who they are; it is what they do. To them, everything in life is a political calculation. Once you accept that about your Democrat “friends,” everything they say and do makes perfect sense.

That is all.

Sen. Tom Cotton Details Democrat Depravity Since the Corrupt Media Won’t Do It

The Evening Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

You seriously could never make this stuff up. – In a series of Tweets this afternoon, GOP Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas listed the absurd list of Democrat demands that are holding up the crucial stimulus bill. Below is the text of those Tweets:

Families and businesses need help now to survive the China virus pandemic. But @SpeakerPelosi walked away from negotiations to write her own bill, full of absurd provisions completely unrelated to the crisis at hand. Here’s what Speaker Pelosi is demanding while Americans suffer:

1. Corporate pay statistics by race and race statistics for all corporate boards at companies receiving assistance

2. Bailing out all current debt of postal service

3. Required early voting

4. Required same day voter registration

5. 10k bailout for student loans

6. For companies accepting assistance, 1/3 of board members must be chosen by workers

7. Provisions on official time for union collective bargaining

8. Full offset of airline emissions by 2025

9. Greenhouse gas statistics for individual flights

10. Retirement plans for community newspaper employees

11. $15 minimum wage at companies receiving assistance

12. Permanent paid leave at companies receiving assistance

The Democrats see an opportunity in this crisis. Not to help the American people, but to hold an emergency relief bill hostage until they get their radical wish list. How long will Arkansans and Americans across the country have to wait?

[End]

How long, indeed?

Naturally, no one in the corrupt news media is accurately reporting the Democrats’ despicable laundry list of political demands. Thus, cowardly Republicans will almost certainly capitulate to some or all of them.

This is the DC Swamp at work.

Just thought you’d like to know.

The Coronavirus Press Conference Gives Us The Trump We Need To See More Of

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

If you missed President Trump’s press conference on the Coronavirus yesterday evening, you should take time to watch it. – The full stream of it can be found at this link: Full Trump Presser.

This was President Donald Trump at his best: Fully in command of the room and the facts, speaking in measured tones, obviously in charge of the situation. Other than some formal international ceremonies, it was with out doubt the most “presidential” event of his entire time in office.

He took every question from the enemies of the people assembled in the White House briefing room and provided measured and reasonable answers, even to those that were unreasonable or even idiotic, as several were. I mean, after all, he did call on April Ryan and that circus clown who writes for Playboy.

Even the jabs he took at Nancy Pelosi were measured in tone: He didn’t call her “Crazy Nancy” or question her sobriety – even though either or both would have been perfectly valid. Instead, he called her “incompetent,” which she clearly is, and truthfully stated that the depraved Speaker is working to politicize the Coronavirus situation.

The same was true of his reference to Chuck Schumer, who has behaved in an even more depraved fashion than Pelosi: The President engaged in no name-calling, no references to “Crying Chuck” or anything similar; just a truthful statement of regret about the Minority Leader’s efforts to endanger the American public for purely partisan reasons.

It was a brilliant press conference, one that had me wishing he would do more of these and fewer of the noisy press availabilities next to the whining rotors as he’s about to board Marine One. I fully get why he likes that model: It denies the preening peacocks in the corrupt press corps their cherished TV face time. In those events, the camera is always on Trump, never on the nitwits screaming their moronic questions.

The President is of course right to treat the media with scorn – it is what they have all richly earned in their demented behavior towards him and his administration. He was absolutely right to end the daily press briefings, given the abusive behavior by the reporters towards his own staff. He

Mr. Trump was also right to take the responsibility of dealing with the media on his own shoulders: This administration revolves around him and his thought processes, and he obviously wasn’t always able to communicate those thoughts to those speaking on his behalf. So he cut out the middle-man, and now typically does more than one press availability each day.

But part of the problem with those loud events next to Marine One is that the President always finds himself shouting. This creates a problem where tone is concerned. As he left the briefing yesterday, one reporter shouted that he should do more events in the briefing room. That caught the President’s attention, and he promised that he would do so.

That would probably be a good idea, because the President is powerful in that setting. Don’t abandon the helicopter setting altogether, but provide more of a mix of venues.

In this re-election season, it might be wise for the President and his team to give a nod to one of the main reasons why he has lost so many suburban housewives: It’s mainly due to his behavior and his tone, not necessarily his substance. Young mothers and grandmothers don’t want young children to be exposed to a President who always seems to be shouting, whether at the press corps at a loud and windy event, or in his postings on Twitter, where he also often seems to be figuratively shouting.

Those who contend that Trump should stop tweeting entirely miss the entire point here: It’s not the fact that he uses social media, but the manner in which he uses it that turns off many people who might otherwise be supporters. A significant percentage of these suburban women who have been trending Democrat over the past four years actually agree with most of the Trump agenda, but can’t stand the manner in which he communicates it much of the time. Appealing to this constituency and gaining more of their votes this year could well determine which party controls the House of Representatives after this year.

Communication matters. No one understands this better than Donald Trump.

The President has to stay active on Twitter because it provides him his only platform on which to communicate to the public without interference from the enemies of the people. Most of these women no doubt recognize that reality, and also most likely wouldn’t deny him the right to respond in-kind to the abusive behavior towards him by depraved Democrats like Pelosi, Schumer and Schiff.

Where he turns so many people off is when he resorts to seemingly gratuitous name-calling, and when he goes after ordinary people, as he did recently with the jury foreman in the Roger Stone trial. Yes, that woman most definitely lied on her jury questionnaire, and Stone should receive a new trial with a new judge as a result. But Roger Stone has smart lawyers working for him and doesn’t need the President attacking both the jury foreman and the judge in order to make his case. It’s just a needless fight that Mr. Trump would have been better off not picking.

Bottom line, if the public saw the President Trump we witnessed in that Coronavirus briefing yesterday evening every day between now and November 3, he would win in an epic landslide for the ages. After the last three years of constant controversy and upheaval, the public is craving a return to some level of normalcy.

Knowing that Bernie Sanders won’t and can’t give them that, and that the Democrats and their corrupt media toadies will do everything in their power to keep the chaos coming, it would probably be wise for the President himself to give it to them in spades.

That is all.

Rubio Tweets Reveal a Distressing Level of GOP Naivete’

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

A thread on Twitter by Florida GOP Senator Marco Rubio is revealing on many levels for all of us impeachment watchers. It reveals a fairly conservative Senator who is aware of much that has been going on around him, but unaware of so much more.

The thread reveals an awareness of the deceitful nature of his Democrat opponents, but a lack of awareness of exactly how deceitful they truly are. It reveals a generally well-meaning guy who will do the right thing on this impeachment scam in the end, but who has been making his decisions based on woefully incomplete information.

In the end, Rubio’s thread provides us strong insight about the information level and thought processes by most of the Senate Republican caucus members, and why they so naively and dangerously agreed to allow the mendacious Democrats to extend the national pain of this trial all the way through next Wednesday when they could have forced a just end to it last night or today.

Below follows the text of each of Rubio’s tweets, along with my analysis of them. Watch and learn how your Republican senators are by and large trying to make the right decisions in this trial, albeit based on woefully incomplete information about the true nature of the enemy. This is all important to know, because the fact that most GOP members of congress remain so naive about the Democrats’ real nature means President Trump remains vulnerable to future Democrat scams that will inevitably arise.

Rubio Tweet #1:

Final arguments 11am Monday. Final vote Wednesday at 4pm. Last March Rep. Schiff said there was “little to be gained by putting the country through” the “wrenching experience” of a partisan impeachment. But then they decided to do it anyway.

Sen. Rubio’s statement here reveals his naive thinking about Schiff. It indicates Rubio actually believes Schiff was sincere when he made the statement Rubio quotes. It indicates that Rubio, despite having been inside the DC Swamp for all these years, still doesn’t understand that leaders in the Democrat Party never utter a sincere statement in public – all they do is parrot poll-tested talking points written for them by staff and lawyers. Honestly, how can any Republican think Adam Schiff, of all people, says anything that is actually true? It’s maddening.

Rubio Tweet #2:

The House admitted they didn’t try to enforce testimony of witnesses in court because it would tie them up in litigation for a year. But then spent weeks demanding the Senate do it now. We were never going to play this stupid game with them.

Here Sen. Rubio reveals that he has no understanding about the Democrats’ strategy in this entire play, as dictated to them by the Lawfare lawyers Nancy Pelosi spent millions of dollars on during 2019, and will spend millions more on during 2020. The Democrats’ entire strategy hinged on their belief that they could pressure four RINO senators to join them in issuing legitimate subpoenas for witnesses.

To review, the House Democrats intentionally rigged the House process to proceed without a formal impeachment vote that would have given their own subpoenas the force of law. Because they refused to hold such a formal vote, they knew their own subpoenas were nothing more than form letters requesting witness appearances.

They took this route for two reasons: 1) to deny the Republicans and President Trump any of the process rights that a legitimate impeachment action would have afforded them; and 2) to speed the process along in their zeal to get the House process finished before Christmas.

In this Tweet, Sen. Rubio reveals his lack of understanding about any of these obvious, transparent machinations by the House Dems.

Rubio Tweet #3

The same people to say “how dare Trump disagree with our intelligence professionals” are also the ones doubting the “intelligence professionals” on Soleimani planning an imminent attack.

Well, yeah, the Democrats are raging hypocrites. At least the Senate Republicans understand that much. Cool.

Rubio Tweet #4

The poll tested “stealing the election” line was also a joke. Was Trump trying to tamper with voting equipment or something? I wanted to laugh every time they said it but I think laughing was against the Senate impeachment rules

This is actually pretty funny and spot on. Plus, it shows the proper level of cynicism that every GOP Senator should have held towards Schiff, Nadler and the other House Manager circus clowns.

Rubio Tweet #5

most obnoxious argument was the “I have secret information that’s damning, but I can’t divulge it” Total crap. We have access to the same information & you don’t have squat. If you did it would be leaked. Just like the mole at NSC illegally leaking portions of Bolton’s book.

This is another good tweet, one that shows Sen. Rubio, and presumably most other Republicans, weren’t buying most of the smelly Schiff the Democrats were shoveling. It also demonstrates Rubio’s clear understanding of the mole issue that lingers inside the NSC. Very encouraging.

Rubio Tweet #6

Bottom line is despite not initially wanting to do it they were bullied into impeachment by radical far left voices they are afraid of. Then they fell in love with the case & the cameras & the adoration of the media & forgot the damage impeachment inflicts on the country.

But here, Rubio falls completely apart. Pelosi/Schiff/Nadler were not “bullied into impeachment” by anyone. They did a fine job of lying about that part of it throughout most of September, but that was all rank, smelly horse manure, shoveled purely for public consumption.

This impeachment scam was a part of the master plan the House Democrat leadership developed in concert with their Lawfare lawyers and members of the corrupt news media immediately following the 2018 election, in which they secured their illegitimate House majority. This is obvious to anyone who has really been paying attention for the last 14 months.

It was all so transparent, in fact, that Mollie Hemingway, editor at The Federalist, actually filed a report on it all within a couple of weeks after that 2018 election. Hemingway had actually overheard Nadler loudly talking about it all when the two happened to be on the same Amtrak rail car traveling from Washington to New York City.

That was in November, 2018. How can Sen. Rubio still be blissfully unaware of all of that today, all these months later?

It is this lingering naivete among Senate Republicans about the true nature of their Democrat opponents that led the “moderates” in the GOP caucus to force this five-day delay in the conclusion of the Senate trial. These people really do still think that Chuck Schumer is someone who can be trusted to deal with them in good faith.

Thus, here we are.

That is all.

Trump Denies Pelosi her USMCA Photo-op

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Better to have the pig farmers than the bleating pig herself. – At Wednesday’s signing ceremony for the huge US/Mexico/Canada Trade Agreement (USMCA), President Donald Trump ensured that representatives from the nation’s hog farmers were in attendance, given the deal’s heavy focus on pork and agricultural goods.

But here’s who he didn’t invite to be there the landmark agreement was signed into law:

After allowing many of her House Democrats vote for the bill along with the Republicans in December, Pelosi made a point of claiming to have forced “major revisions” to the initial draft that had been agreed-to by the Trump Administration. This of course was just another lie, as only a few minor provisions were modified during the negotiations in the House.

The Speaker desperately wanted to be seen as one of the architects of this major deal, because she and her House Majority have achieved literally nothing for the American people over the last year as they focused all of their efforts in mounting their idiotic coup d’etat. Pelosi no doubt coveted the chance to be standing behind the President at this ceremony so that her ghoulish face, complete with rebellious dentures, would make it into the photo-ops. That would have provided Democrat members running in swing districts a visual to show to constituents.

President Trump was not about to give her that satisfaction, given that she needlessly held this important deal up for well over half a year, purely for political leverage. In fact, the President did not invite a single Democrat to the ceremony, which is entirely appropriate given that not a single Democrat helped in making it a reality, a stark contrast to the NAFTA negotiations in the 1990s, which were a completely bipartisan effort.

This, folks, is WINNING, bigly.

This is what the never-ending coup d’etat has wrought. – While the corrupt news media, in its role as the propaganda organ for the Deep State, will excoriate the President for refusing to have any Democrats in attendance, everyone should remember that when he first came into office, Mr. Trump bent over backwards to establish cordial relations with Pelosi, Schumer and other key Democrats. All of those efforts were steadfastly rebuffed.

What President Trump received in return for that outreach was the back of the hand from every Democrat in the D.C. Swamp, and the continuation of the unending efforts to demonize and de-legitimize him that had come at him during the 2016 campaign. Still, the President has persevered in efforts to find ways to work with Pelosi and Schumer, inviting them for frequent meetings at the White House, events where Pelosi consistently tossed fits and stormed out to hurl accusations at Trump to the eager press corps camped outside.

Indeed, the only times Pelosi did not employ that particular tactic have come when President Trump insisted on allowing the press corps to remain present for the full meeting, an unprecedented step he has taken on several occasions specifically to pressure the depraved Speaker to behave.

Unsurprisingly, the President’s efforts towards bipartisanship came to a halt when Pelosi decided to conspire with Adam Schiff to mount the ridiculous impeachment scam. It’s pretty difficult for any president to try to work with people so mendacious and desperate that they would eagerly put the nation through the circus that has now lasted for four long months.

Thus, San Fran Nan didn’t get her photo op yesterday, as the most important trade deal of the 21st Century was signed into law. It was the reward she had richly earned.

That is all.

Why There Will be no Witnesses in This Senate Trial

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Don’t count on hearing from Hunter Biden or the fake whistleblower, folks. – Adam Schiff, in his closing arguments Friday night, pounded the final nail into the coffin on the question of whether any witnesses will ultimately be called in this national disgrace of a Senate trial against President Donald Trump.

In the  midst of repeating himself for about the 256th time over the past three days, ol’ Bugeyes made the mistake of tossing in something new, referring to a completely false CBS News report, citing only a “Trump confidant” – which could mean the Mooch – alleging that GOP senators were warned “Vote against the president and your head will be on a pike.” Many witnesses present in the Senate chamber said that audible gasps could be heard throughout the room, including from some of Pencil Neck’s own House colleagues:

More to the point, Schiff’s reference to an obvious piece of despicable fake news pissed off some of the key GOP RINOs he had supposedly been trying to influence to vote in favor of calling witnesses during this trial, including Lisa Murkowski…:

…and Susan Collins:

Now, Collins and Murkowski are perpetually malleable as they tirelessly do their best to remain “open-minded” to siding with Democrats on an array of issues, but Schiff just handed them an ironclad reason to hold firm with their own Party for once. Now, when they go home to face their constituents and are asked why they voted not to call witnesses, they can simply recite Pencil Neck’s outright lying and utter lack of good faith as their justification.

Of course, the reality is that the Democrats in the Senate have been bluffing about calling witnesses all along. Doing so would prolong this disgrace for many weeks, given that any subpoenas would inevitably be challenged in federal court, and nobody wants that, not even Chuck Schumer’s imaginary, chair-stealing friend.

The senators involved in the presidential primaries – The Commie, Lieawatha, Amy Klobuchar and some guy from Colorado named Bennett – most certainly don’t want to spend several months tied up in the Senate chamber in what they all know to be a sham impeachment trial. So there was never really going to be any “deal” on calling witnesses to begin with, something Schumer basically admitted in a rare moment of candor on Thursday.

For Schumer and his Democrat senate caucus, this sham trial has been far more about establishing narratives for the Fall general election campaigns against vulnerable GOP senators than it has been about actually winning any votes or calling any witnesses. That has been clear from the start.

Given all of this, here’s the timetable we should anticipate as this impeachment scam winds down:

  • Starting today, the Trump defense team will present a very detailed rebuttal case;
  • That rebuttal case will not consume the defense’s entire 24 hours of floor time – expect Trump’s team to wrap up either Monday evening or early afternoon on Tuesday, much to the relief of the exhausted senators;
  • The defense will file a motion to dismiss immediately following its closing arguments;
  • The Democrat House Managers will file an alternative motion to call additional witnesses;
  • At least 52 GOP senators, and possibly all 53 of them, will vote to dismiss without calling any witnesses. Democrats Doug Jones of Alabama and/or Joe Manchin of West Virginia will likely join them;

The entire disgusting and disgraceful process will be blessedly over by COB on Thursday.

And then the Democrats – with the full support of the nation’s corrupt news media – will move onto the next scam in their never-ending coup d’etat.

They will never stop, until the voters stop them.

That is all.

Only an Incredibly Shallow Society Could Produce this Impeachment Scam

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

The assisted living senators are not dealing well with these long hours. – The U.S. Senate has, more than at any other time in its history, become a home for elderly citizens during the 21st Century. This is in large part due to the fact that it has also more and more become a place to accumulate massive amounts of wealth at the expense of the U.S. taxpayer in recent decades. No one wants to voluntarily leave the gig when there’s always so much more wealth to be grafted.

Thus, this ongoing Kabuki dance of an impeachment trial takes place in what is basically an incredibly wealthy assisted living center. It is becoming increasingly obvious that the long days and late nights are already beginning to take a toll as the silliness enters its third day today. California’s 86 year-old Senator Dianne Feinstein decided she’d had enough of the nonsense as Bug-eyed Adam Schiff droned on late last night, and just got up and left a full hour before the Senate was adjourned:

Virginia Senator Mark Warner, kind of a Senate kindergartener at age 66, was reported to have fallen asleep during Schiff’s lie-filled monologue:

Image

Senate Minority leader Chuck Schumer – a veritable spring chicken of the Democrat caucus at age 69 – has begun exhibiting clear signs of not being all there mentally. Watch as he shooos an imaginary person out of his chair as he returns from a bathroom break:

Seriously, you can’t make this stuff up. Think about this: These are the people who are governing this country right now. Frightening.

But hey, even though the Senators were having a hard time holding their eyes open or avoiding twice-hourly potty breaks during Schiff’s hours of bleating, the guy who bills himself on Twitter as a “national security correspondent” for the Washington Post developed a clear man crush on ol’ Bugeyes:

Can’t wait to hear Greg Miller’s true feelings about Jabba the Nadler or Patrick Leahy. Maybe Netflix will turn the “national security correspondent’s” diary into a 10-episode mini-series.

Of course, the subject matter being considered in this impeachment scam is so utterly and moronically trivial that it’s no wonder the Senators can’t keep their eyes open or hold their bowels. My wife and I are spending this week on a cruise ship filled with people from all over the world, and all I have been able to think about as we have interacted with folks from various other nations is how picayunish this absurd spectacle truly is.

For example, in chatting with our waiter last night, we learned he is a Kurd. He put on a happy face because he is really good at his job, but think about what someone who spends 10 of his 12 months each year working night and day on a gigantic ship and worrying about what might be happening to his family back home must think about how utterly superficial American politics have become.

Before dinner, we spent time in a bar talking with a wonderful group of citizens of Trinidad and Tobago. We talked about current events in their country, which is really struggling economically right now, as well as the collapse of Venezuela and the massive recent oil discoveries off the coasts of nearby Suriname and Guyana, which they are all hoping might positively impact their own island nation.

On this cruise, we have met people from France, where the massive “yellow vest” protests have now been ongoing for 55 weeks, and largely ignored by the U.S. news media. There are similar protest movements taking place all over Europe and South America and Asia right now, and the “national security correspondent” for the WaPo is Tweeting out his love for a pathological liar who has had our own politics tied up hyper-analyzing an innocuous 20-minute phone call that happened 7 months ago.

On this cruise, we have met people from Russia and Croatia and the Phillipines and Hong Kong, all places in the throes of real human struggles of paramount importance, and our corrupt news media is focused on providing maximum exposure for an impeachment that’s like an episode of “Seinfeld,” a show about nothing.

Miller’s right about one thing: Schiff’s conduct of this impeachment scam will indeed leave a mark on history. That mark will be in the form of an indelible black ink stain on our nation’s legacy that can never be gotten out.

What an incredibly shallow society we have become.

That is all.

Democrat/Media Soleimani Narrative is an Epic Failure

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

It’s all so predictable and tiresome, but exactly what we should expect from these people. – The Democrats and their corrupt toadies in the nation’s fake news media are pushing a ridiculous narrative in the wake of President Trump’s order to take out Iranian Revolutionary Guard terrorist leader Qassem Soleimani with a drone strike at the Baghdad International Airport. It is a narrative that is doomed to become an epic fail.

The narrative basically goes like this: President Trump should have consulted congressional leaders in advance of taking any action. His failure to do so creates a constitutional crisis and may be a “war crime.” He also must provide a more specific, detailed public explanation for the reasons why he decided Soleimani had to be taken out, including the public revelation of the intelligence information relied upon. The detestable hack Chris Wallace is in fact pushing this very narrative on Fox News Sunday in his interview with Sec. State Mike Pompeo as this piece is being written.

All of which is just another steaming pile of smelly horse manure brought to you by your friends at the Democrat/media/Deep State Axis of Disinformation.

First, on the question of some presidential “obligation” to notify congressional leaders in advance of a drone strike on Islamic terrorists: That all went out the window when the Democrat Party’s leaders clearly began to demonstrate they have a higher loyalty to the terrorist than they do to our country. Let’s all remember this from May, 2018:

Remember? Former Obama Secretary of State John Kerry spent days in Paris meeting with Iranian leaders, advising them on ways to thwart President Trump and his official U.S. foreign policy. And Kerry is far from the only Democrat who has been engaged in this kind of subversive activity during the Trump Administration.

Image

President Trump, in this instance, actually had an obligation to U.S. national security NOT to inform any Democrat in advance of taking this action for the simple fact that he knows without any doubt that no Democrat in Washington can be trusted any longer with U.S. national security secrets. He knows that within 5 minutes of informing a Chuck Schumer or Nancy Pelosi of a pending action, that information would have appeared on CNN or at the New York Times or Washington Post websites.

Yes, presidents in the past – you know, back when Democrat leaders were actually loyal Americans – have traditionally tried to inform congressional leaders of both parties in advance of significant military actions, but there is simply no governing legal authority mandating that he do so. As we noted here a few days ago, Barack Obama his own self authorized hundreds, if not thousands, of drone strikes on terrorist targets during his eight years in office without notifying anyone in congress, and no Democrat ever expressed any concern about it.

For the very same reasons mentioned above, if President Trump’s action was a “war crime,” then what of Obama? What about George W. Bush and Bill Clinton? Sorry, Dems, that cat don’t flush.

Then there this contention about the President having some obligation to offer a more detailed explanation of the reasons behind the strike on Soleimani, including the somewhat stunning contention that he must release the highly-classified intelligence information he relied upon in making his decision. This from the same political party that still refuses to release the transcripts of all of its Soviet-style impeachment witness interrogations, mind you.

The Administration, through Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and the President himself, has already laid out its reasons for taking action in general terms. More specific, detailed information about Soleimani and his myriad terrorist actions over the past few decades can be found in the guest piece published here Sunday morning (Quassem Soleimani, the IRGC, and why the “General” had to die).

Obviously, the President has zero obligation to the Democrats or anyone else to publish highly-classified intelligence information that would without any doubt at all put U.S. or Israeli intelligence sources in severe danger (which may actually be the goal behind these Democrat requests). But Texas Congressman Dan Crenshaw, himself a veteran of several tours in the Middle East as a Navy Seal, may have handled it better than anyone in response to a tweet by the despicable Democrat clown Eric Swalwell:

Oof.

Note that Swalwell also demands that the President inform the public – and thus the Islamic terrorists who run Iran – in advance of his “concrete plan for dealing with its [turning Soleimani into a fine, pink mist] consequences.”

Yeah, that’s just stupid, dude. Not happening.

Bottom line: The Democrat/media/deep state Axis of Disinformation is pushing a stupid, shameful, epic failure of a narrative in the wake of a killing that any American with functioning synapses in their cranium will continue to celebrate.

Democrats Disgrace Themselves in Response to the Killing of Soleimani

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Poor Chuck Schumer has the sads that he was not informed in advance of the U.S. military drone strike that took out Iranian terrorist leader Qassem Soleimani. – Well, tough. Obviously, neither Schumer, nor Nancy Pelosi nor any other Democrat could be informed in advance for the very same that Soleimani himself wasn’t told: Because they cannot be trusted to support U.S. interests anywhere in the world.

It really has come to this. If an action is taken by President Donald Trump, Democrats automatically knee-jerk to the position that it is inherently bad and coordinate with their corrupt media toadies to try to undermine it. Barack Hussein Obama – to his credit – took out hundreds of terrorists with drone strikes during his 8 years in office. During all that time, neither Schumer nor San Fran Nan nor any other leading Democrat uttered a peep of protest about the unconstitutional War Powers Act or indeed, any criticism of their dear leader.

But here’s Pelosi’s reaction today to President Trump’s authorized strike on the leading planner of Islamic terror on the face of the earth:

“The full Congress must be immediately briefed on this serious situation and on the next steps under consideration by the Administration, including the significant escalation of the deployment of additional troops to the region,” Pelosi said.

Here’s New Mexico Senator Tom Udall:

Senator Tom Udall, the author of a bipartisan amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act to prevent war with Iran without the consent of Congress, said in a statement that Mr. Trump “is bringing our nation to the brink of an illegal war with Iran without any congressional approval as required under the Constitution of the United States.”

“Such a reckless escalation of hostilities is likely a violation of Congress’ war making authority – as well as our basing agreement with Iraq – putting U.S. forces and citizens in danger and very possibly sinking us into another disastrous war in the Middle East that the American people are not asking for and do not support,” Udall said. “Congress must step in immediately to reclaim its Constitutional war powers.”

Where were they when Obama was ordering dozens of similar strikes on Iranian and ISIS and Al Qaeda targets from 2009 through 2016? Not a peep.

But it gets even better.

Watch Democrat Congressman Chris Murphy, who was briefly a candidate for the Democrat presidential nomination in 2019, do a complete 180 on the Trump response to Iran in a mere 48 hours. Here is what he tweeted after the Iran-led storming of the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad:

Image

And here is what he said this morning, after the President took his decisive action:

Image

You just cannot make these raging hypocrites up.

For the record, no president – whether a Democrat or Republican – is required to seek congressional authorization for these limited military engagements. Nothing President Trump did this week violated any federal law or constitutional provision in any way, shape or form. These disloyal, seditious Democrats are angry this morning because they were not given an advance notice so that they could attempt to deny Trump a “win” by leaking the information to their toadies at the New York Times or CNN.

This is the clear reality our nation faces today: One of our major political parties no longer maintains any loyalty to our country’s clear interests and well-being.

So, of course no Democrat leader was given advance notice of the drone strike that took out one of the most vicious leaders of Islamic terrorism on earth. Because they could not be trusted. It really is that simple.

That is all.

Here’s Why Pelosi is Making Impeachment Permanent

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this WINNING yet? Not a chance.  – All major U.S. market indexes once again attained all-time record high closes on Monday. It was the ninth straight record trading day on the NASDAQ, its longest such streak since 1998. As we approach the end of 2019, the Trump economy has now taken all of the Democrat/media recession promoters, folded them collectively up into a massive wad of smelly BS, and tossed them into the garbage dump of history. It’s a wonderful thing for America.

Tired of all this WINNING yet? Part II. – The stock markets weren’t the only area in which Americans were WINNING bigly on Monday. The leaders in China finally signaled capitulation to the reality of President Trump holding all the real leverage in the trade negotiations between the worlds two largest economies yesterday, announcing a massive reduction in tariffs on U.S. imports into their country:

China will lower tariffs on products ranging from frozen pork and avocado to some types of semiconductors next year as Beijing looks to boost imports amid a slowing economy and a trade war with the United States.

Next year, China will implement temporary import tariffs, which are lower than the most-favored-nation tariffs, on more than 850 products, the finance ministry said on Monday. By comparison, 706 products were taxed at temporary rates in 2019.

The tariff changes were made to “increase imports of products facing a relative domestic shortage, or foreign speciality goods for everyday consumption,” the ministry said in a statement on its website.

This, friends, is WINNING, and it is only going to get better in 2020. Heck, it will likely only get better before 2019 is over – after all, we have a whole week to go.

Why is Pelosi making impeachment a permanent process? – After I posted yesterday afternoon’s update detailing the Democrats’ latest move to make impeaching President Donald Trump a permanent feature of their rule in the House of Representatives, several readers sent messages asking why she and Schiff and Nadler would do this? What purpose does it serve?

Well, there are several reason why San Fran Nan’s traveling congressional freak show is going down this road – let’s lay them out in bullet point form:

  • First and foremost, the Democrats have nothing else. This is all they got, and they know it. They have no real policy agenda heading into the 2020 elections other than promoting the Green New Scam and Venezuela-style socialism, and those are unpopular policy proposals that they must pursue under the radar.
  • Second, because they can. There is no honest media establishment working to inform the American people of the truly subversive nature of what they are doing, and thus, no negative consequences politically from going down this despicable road.
  • Third, because they can never admit that the 2016 presidential election was legitimate. Think about it: They and their corrupt media toadies have spent three entire years now promoting first the Trump/Russia myth and then the Trump/Ukraine myth in their frenzied effort to overturn the results of that election. If they were to stop now, it would be an admission that the entire pretense that enabled them to attain their House majority in the 2018 election was a false one.
  • Fourth, because pursuing permanent impeachment supports their new narrative in which they are already making the case that the 2020 presidential election will be illegitimate. Having a President win re-election while “under investigation” is key to that narrative.
  • Fifth, because they know that Ruth Bader Ginsburg is in terrible health, making it very likely there will be an opening on the Supreme Court at some point next year. Making impeachment permanent enables them to argue that President Trump can’t fill that seat while he’s under “suspicion.”

I suspect it is possible that Ginsburg, who is 85 and has survived several bouts with lung and pancreatic cancer, or liberal justice Stephen Breyer, who is 81, may have even informed Pelosi and others that she or he plans to retire at the end of the current Supreme Court session, which would help to explain the urgency behind the Democrats’ efforts to keep impeachment alive.

Now, if you are thinking that none of the reasons listed above are legitimate reasons for the constitutional abomination Pelosi is perpetrating on our society, I agree. But we have to remember that everything Pelosi, Schumer or any Democrat leader does has a single goal in mind: The acquisition and maintenance of political power. That’s it.

Considerations such as what might be best for the country never enters the minds of these demented and depraved people. Once you realize that reality and accept it, everything they do makes perfect, if evil, sense.

That is all.

Another Focus Group Produces Another Democrat Impeachment Talking Point

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

When you write 1500 words and completely miss the point. – The hacks over at Politico published a long piece about the implosion of the Kamala Harris campaign over the weekend. Harris, of course, was once the star of the Democrat field, the candidate many felt was the natural heir to the Party’s identity politics foundation.

The piece goes after Harris’s campaign manager, some guy named Juan Rodriguez, and her sister, Maya Harris, as the culprits in this disintegrating fairy tale, blaming their internal squabbling and inability to make decisions as the reason why Harris is currently polling around 3-4% in the national polls. But nowhere in all these words and sentences to the writers of the piece get to the real issue, which is that Kamala Harris is a horrible candidate.

She has no discipline, she has no core set of beliefs, she has no ability to communicate in a coherent manner outside of her scripted talking points and she has utterly failed to give voters any sort of compelling reason why they should vote for her over one of the other circus clowns in the field. She’s a terrible candidate, something no campaign manager or group of hangers-on can change.

At the end of the day, the California senator who was rumored to be Barack Obama’s chosen one for this race is no different than Kirsten Gillibrand, a vain politician running for the presidency because she thought she was somehow entitled to the office, and for no other real reason. The Politico piece should have been about 250 words long, which is about what I’ve just written.

Another set of focus groups, another new talking point. This is how the Democrats do “impeachment.” – Last Thursday, as chronicled here at the Campaign Update, San Fran Nan and Bug-eyes Schiff rolled out their “bribery” talking point after testing the word with polls and focus groups. It turned out that “quid pro quo” hit too close to “Quid Pro Joe,” and people just fall asleep whenever Pelosi or Schiff utter the whole “obstruction of congress” nonsense,” so the Democrats needed a new word to describe the fantasy they were trying to construct.

“Blackmail” being an actual English word that most Americans – even Democrats – actually understand the meaning of helped, plus it had all those negative connotations that the man on the street can relate back to episodes of Chicago Law and Law and Order, so it’s just awesome for this purpose.

But another problem came up after the first two days of mindless testimony from three gossips in the diplomatic corps: Everything they said was hearsay. None of the three witnesses actually witnessed anything remotely related to any supposed wrongdoing by the President. Faced with a group of GOP congress members who are actually organized around a set of core messages for once, the Democrats had no effective response to the GOP contention that this is all just gossip and hearsay, mainly because it is just all gossip and hearsay, with much more gossip and hearsay to come.

So, apparently San Fran Nan and Bug-eyes got a focus group or twelve together on Saturday and rolled out this question to them: “Hey, how would you respond if we taunted President Trump to come testify himself?” That apparently produced nodding heads around the rooms, and thus we had the spectacle of San Fran Nan and Chuck Schumer saying this on Sunday:

Pelosi: “If he has information that is exculpatory, that means ex, taking away, culpable, blame, then we look forward to seeing it,” she said in an interview that aired Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation.” Trump “could come right before the committee and talk, speak all the truth that he wants if he wants.”

Schumer: “If Donald Trump doesn’t agree with what he’s hearing, doesn’t like what he’s hearing, he shouldn’t tweet. He should come to the committee and testify under oath. And he should allow all those around him to come to the committee and testify under oath,” Schumer told reporters. He said the White House’s insistence on blocking witnesses from cooperating begs the question: “What is he hiding?”

In other words, in the grand tradition of Democrat politicians trying to corrupt the American system of justice, they now want President Trump to come prove his innocence before their impeachment circus.

Sorry, but that’s not how this works, Nan and Chuck. That’s now any of this works.

But it obviously does well with focus groups, and that’s all any Democrat really cares about. All of which clearly demonstrates one more time how un-serious these people are, and how low their regard is for the health and survival of this country.

It’s despicable. It’s demented. It’s disgraceful and disgusting. But hey, it’s Democrats – you expected something else?

That is all.

Pelosi, Schumer and Hoyer Stage Another DC Swamp-Kabuki Theater Act

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Elijah Cummings died. – I have nothing nice to say about him, so I will say nothing at all.  Here’s a link to the AP article about his death, which of course is a thoroughly one-sided, glowing review of his life. Somehow the Republic and Baltimore will survive.

San Fran Nan is sick. – At least, according to President Donald Trump, who issued the tweet below after Pelosi blew up yet again in a White House meeting and staged a very theatrical walkout along with Chuck Schumer and Steny Hoyer:

Hey, didn’t we already know this is a very sick – as in mentally deranged – woman? Pretty sure most of us did, and Schumer and Hoyer should be – but won’t be – roundly condemned for helping her stage this latest bit of DC Swamp Kabuki theater.

As a partial, taunting payback for this latest staged event, the President followed later with this hilarious tweet:

Naturally, the Democrat activist press corps slanted its reporting in coordination with the Democrat narrative, featuring Schumer’s laughable contention that “the Speaker kept her cool.” But as you can clearly see in the clip below, Pelosi is visibly shaking, a fake smile pasted onto her face and having a very hard time keeping her constantly-loose dentures in her mouth while Schumer was ranting.

For their part, the Democrats couldn’t even keep their own story straight. Schumer claimed President Trump called Pelosi a “third-rate politician,” while Pelosi said Trump had in fact called her a “third-grade politician.” Seriously? That’s why you walk out of what was supposedly such a crucially important bipartisan briefing on the goings-on in Syria right now?

And hell’s bells, regardless of which insult the President may or may not have uttered, everyone on the face of the earth knows that Pelosi is a shameless political hack, and being one has made her a fabulously wealthy person. So, what’s the big deal? Own it, Nan – being a despicable political hack is what defines your entire life.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy spoke to the press gaggle later, after participating in the full meeting, saying that “”They left the meeting, other Democrats stayed and we had the most normal meeting you could ever have that was productive with the general of the joint chiefs, the secretary of defense and the president talking about how do we keep the homeland safe.”

Oh.

In case any of you might be inclined to take what the Democrats staged yesterday as a serious, spur-of-the-moment fit of pique, remember that this is not the first time they’ve created this exact scenario as a means of trying to fire up their lunatic Twitter Outrage Mob base. This is just another Alinsky-style event, a part of their ongoing coup d’etat effort designed to try to lower the President’s public approval ratings by portraying him as an unstable madman occupying the White House.

It is no coincidence that this piece of choreography came on the same day that the President’s approval rating in the Rasmussen survey once again reached 50%. It also came just a day after Pelosi had to cancel a planned formal impeachment vote of the full House because she simply doesn’t have the votes in favor of making that move, and if she forces it, she dooms her 35 or so Democrats who represent traditionally-GOP districts.

It also took place on a day during which news came that Adam Schiff’s Soviet-style basement interrogations of witnesses like Ukraine Envoy Kurt Volker are not yielding the results the Democrat coup plotters have hoped for:

[excerpt from interrogation]

Schiff persisted. “And when that suspension of aid became known to that country, to Ukraine, it would be all the more weighty to consider what the president had asked of them, wouldn’t it?”

“So again, congressman, I don’t believe — ” Volker began.

“It’s a pretty straightforward question,” Schiff said.

“But I don’t believe the Ukrainians were aware that the assistance was being held up — ”

“They became aware of it,” Schiff said.

“They became aware later, but I don’t believe they were aware at the time, so there was no leverage implied,” Volker said.

[end]

Oh.

So, as we have seen time and time and time again from these Democrats and their media hack toadies, when the facts on the ground don’t support the narrative they are pushing, they stage a media event to distract the public’s attention. It’s a despicable tactic, one that undermines the stability of our society, and the constant progression of this kind of false-flag display pushes us closer to outright civil conflict with every passing day.

All of which makes it perfectly reasonable for the President to speculate that Pelosi “just plain doesn’t like our great Country.” The proof of that slaps us in the face on a daily basis.

That is all.

Why the Deranged Democrats Are Moving on Impeachment Now

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

So, why are the lunatic Democrats doing all of this fake impeachment stuff now? – Think about these consequences of the media’s being able to focus on nothing but all-impeachment all the time in the coming months:

Jeffrey Epstein very suspicious death: Completely out of the news cycle.

Major Democrat donor Ed Buck’s running a drug and sex ring from his home: Completely out of the news cycle.

Insane proposals from all the Marxists running for the Democrat presidential nomination: Completely out of the news cycle.

Pending indictments of Andrew McCabe: Completely out of the news cycle.

Pending FISA report from IG Michael Horowitz: Completely out of the news cycle.

Booming Trump economy: Completely out of the news cycle.

Those are just the near-term outcomes. Here are some longer-term considerations:

Ruth Bader Ginsburg has to leave the Supreme Court for health reasons: Media/Democrats will scream that no president under impeachment investigation should be allowed to nominate anyone to the Supreme Court.

Hamper other Trump court nominations: Media/Democrats will attempt to tie up Senate Judiciary Committee time with fake impeachment business.

Hamper Trump trade deals: Pelosi will use impeachment as an excuse to refuse to consider voting to approve the U.S. Mexico Canada Trade Deal. She and Schumer will also attempt to overwhelm the White House with impeachment-related demands, thus hampering Trump’s ongoing efforts to secure major additional trade deals with China, Great Britain and India.

What we are witnessing this week is nothing short of a Democrat Party/Media-led Civil War on the executive branch and middle America. It’s not a shooting war, yet, but you should not think for a minute that these deranged, power-mad people would stop short of taking us into one if they believe it will help them obtain and maintain political power.

That’s all they care about, at long last.

That is all.

Beto O’Rourke Tries Cussing His Way to the Presidency

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

It didn’t work for Kirsten Gillibrand, Irish Bob, and it won’t work for you. – El Paso native Robert Francis O’Rourke has over the last two days put on the most craven, disgusting display of raw political grasping I think I’ve ever seen.

Democrats always politicize tragedy – that’s just become a sad given in today’s American society. This has just been a fact of our lives since the Clinton Administration, and it’s what Rahm Emanuel was talking about when he famously declared that Democrats should “never let a good crisis go to waste.”

Irish Bob, who has been floundering around for months in a failed presidential campaign that can’t get above the 3% polling level, obviously decided within a few hours of Saturday’s atrocity in his home city that this was his chance to get himself back in the spotlight, perhaps his last chance. But, knowing that every one of his 6,000 or so rivals for the nomination would also be working their butts off to use the shootings to grab attention for themselves, Irish Bob obviously made the conscious decision to be as outrageous as humanly possible in order to stand out from the craven crowd.

How best to do that? Fall back on the two things in his entire life that he is apparently really good at: Cussing and outrageous lying. The lying, of course, is just standard issue part of any Democrat campaign, but the cussing he’s been doing – holy cow. And not just a few cusswords here and there, but loading up almost every statement with bunches of cusswords that my dear Mom used to wash my mouth out with soap for saying. Here are just a couple of quotes from the goofy opportunist over the last couple of days. First, the cussing.:

Image

And here’s the bald-faced lying:

“He is saying that some people are inherently defective or dangerous – reminiscent of something you might hear in the Third Reich, not something that you expect in the United States of America – based on their religion, based on their sexual orientation, based on their immigration status, based on the countries that they come from. Calling those in Africa shithole nations and saying that he’d like to have more immigration from Nordic countries, the whitest place on planet Earth today. Again, let’s be very clear about what is causing this and who the president is.”

You may remember that, when she first began thinking about running for the presidency back in late 2017, Kirsten Gillibrand went on a cussing rampage because her advisors told her it would get her gobs of press attention. And it did get her attention. What it didn’t do was gain her any favor at all with voters, and there she sits all these months later, still mired at 0% in pretty much every poll.

It won’t work for Irish Bob, either, because everyone already knows what a craven doofus he is and it will be universally be seen as the sad political tactic from a failing candidate that it is.

The same goes for the lying. The only people who are going to believe all that stuff are Democrats who already believe all that stuff, despite the public record to the contrary.

The only people Donald Trump has called “defective or dangerous” are members of drug gangs like MS-13 and domestic terrorist groups like Antifa. The claim that the President has referred to all immigrants or all Hispanics or African Americans in negative terms is a bald-faced lie invented by Democrats like O’Rourke and their toadies in the fake news media. He has borne this out not just in words but in actions as well, as his administration has worked to significantly increase legal immigration while at the same time attempting to stop illegal immigrants from flooding the southern border.

Then there’s the outrageous lie that he has ever supported or praised real “white nationalists,” all of whom in this country would fit into a phone booth if phone booths still existed. He has in fact, on dozens of very public occasions, slammed and disavowed them, as he did yet again in yesterday’s speech.

Donald Trump is an equal-opportunity slammer who counter-punches against those who attack him first. He has spent immensely more time going after white people like Cryin’ Chuckie Schumer and Fauxcahontas and Jabba The Nadler and Pencil Neck Schiff than he has people of color.

Democrat liars and their media toadies want to classify his attacks on despicable hacks like Elijah Cummings – who has become fabulously wealthy while serving in congress on a maximum salary of $174,000 a year while the people in his district continue to suffer in the most squalid conditions in America – and loud-mouthed radicals like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the rest of her anti-Semitic crew as “racism” because they know they must somehow distract the public away from learning the truth about those folks. Because the truth about them is so ugly that it would turn voters away from their Party, especially if the public should ever learn that they are now the rule among Democrats, not the exception.

Finally, President Trump has never “incited violence…in this country” as Irish Bob claims in that first quote. That is explicitly true about the two mass shootings over the weekend. As we have discovered over the last two days, the Dayton shooter was a registered Democrat who was a big fan of Elizabeth Warren. The El Paso shooter is also a self-professed Democrat whose “manifesto” lays out his support for all manner of radical leftwing causes, and explicitly states he is NOT a Trump fan.

But, never wanting to let a good crisis go to waste, every Democrat and hack fake reporter in the nation has jumped on the narrative that it’s all Trump’s fault. The only aspect of any of this that is – in Irish Bob’s words – reminiscent of something “you might hear in the Third Reich” is the Democrat/media effort to push the Big Lie.

No one has been more craven and opportunistic about doing that than El Paso’s own Irish Bob O’Rourke.

Disgusting.

That is all.

Trump Will do the Right Thing for America in Response to Iran

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Huh. Guess he must have been hanging out with Bill Clinton. – Joe Biden’s wayward son, Hunter Biden, was sued yesterday by a 28 year-old woman in Arkansas for refusing to accept responsibility for the son he allegedly fathered with her. This is not a case of ancient history coming back to haunt him, either, as the child is just 10 months old. Even more disgustingly, the fathering of the child came during a time when the horndog Hunter was involved in a relationship with the widow of his late brother, Beau Biden.

Holy cow.

The lawsuit comes at a rather inconvenient time for Hunter, who became fabulously wealthy while his Pop was selling his influence as Vice President – no doubt emulating the Hillary Clinton game plan – as Hunter just recently got married, but to yet another woman named Melissa Cohen.

A quick Google search indicates this scandalous news – which would justifiably be above-the-fold, massive headlines were it about the son of any Republican – was not reported by the New York Times, the Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC, NBC, ABC 0r CBS.  Imagine that.

Tired of all this WINNING yet? – The S&P 500 closed at yet another all-time high on Thursday. Donald Trump says, “you’re welcome.”

Speaking of President Donald Trump, be glad he’s in that office. – The Pantsuit Princess, who famously cackled and bragged about taking out Mohamar Gadaffi (and thus throwing Libya into a seemingly endless civil war), would have been getting our military personnel killed in yet another Middle East war with Iran long ago, and would still have us fiddling around doing nothing much effective with ISIS in Syria.

Lindsey Graham is no different. His years of following John McCain around like a little puppy dog come out every time anyone in the Middle East so much as shouts boo!, so yesterday’s downing of a U.S. drone by Iran’s radical Islamic government threw Bad Lindsey into a fit of McCain-like war-mongering. Here’s what he told reporters in an impromptu press gaggle yesterday:

“My ‘red line’ is if there’s any more disruption of shipping in the Strait of Hormuz that’s linked to Iran,” the South Carolina Republican said. “Take out their navy, bomb their refineries if there’s any more attacks on American interests.”

Oh. Well, hey, at least he didn’t go where McCain always went, and recommend putting 200,000 or more U.S. soldiers on the ground:

“Go after Iran so that they’ll…feel pain,” he continued. “I’m not talking about invading Iran, I’m not talking about a land invasion. If they go back into the enrichment business at a level that would lead to a nuclear weapon, we need to sit down with Israel and other allies and come up with a way to stop it.”

Glad he’s not talking about McCain’s longed-for ground invasion, but he is talking about putting our fighter and bomber pilots at great risk, given that Iran just proved its air defenses can shoot down a drone that typically operates at 60,000 feet. Are we really all ready to see Americans start coming back home from that god-forsaken part of the world in body bags again? Isn’t it enough that we still see this happen occasionally due to our continued presence in the sh*thole country that is Afghanistan after 18 long years?

Donald Trump was not elected to get us involved in more wars – he was elected to end the ones he inherited from the war-mongering 16 years that preceded his Inauguration. When he took office, President Trump inherited a situation in which the U.S. military was actively involved in no fewer than seven different civil wars across the Middle East and Africa. Although we still remain in Afghanistan with a diminished presence, he has otherwise greatly reduced U.S. involvement, destroying ISIS in Syria before dramatically reducing our presence in that unalterable sh*thole as well.

Despite the constant drumbeat by our fake news media that he is somehow himself a “war-monger”, the truth is that Trump’s conduct of foreign affairs has dramatically scaled back international tensions all over the world. There is no magic to this – this is what has always happened whenever a Republican president has projected U.S. policy from a position of strength.

Where the Coughing Crooks of the world delight in throwing entire nations into interminable chaos with ill-advised (and illegal) assassinations, and neo-cons like Graham invariably knee-jerk to screaming for bombing runs, the truth is that President Trump has an array of options for responding to Iran’s latest provocation that do not involve getting our own people killed. Thankfully, while every craven politician in both parties knee-jerks to inflammatory talking points, the President is calmly taking the time to consider all of his options before jumping to a response.

Trump may ultimately decide that taking out some Iranian refineries and gunships is the appropriate response here, but everyone screaming for that particular escalation of the conflict must understand that that will inevitably result in a spike in oil prices, which will in turn drive up gasoline prices at the pump. The price for crude has already jumped up 10% this week – are you really ready for another 20% or even more?

Or maybe the President might decide to cool the rhetoric – which he was already doing yesterday, if you were paying attention – and authorize the conduct of cyber-attacks on Iran’s digital infrastructure, which could be done completely behind the scenes and could be devastating to the Mullahs’ regime.

What President Trump is not going to do is be bullied by aggressive advisors or Lindsey Graham or Chuck Schumer or anyone else into sending our armed forces into harm’s way unless he is 100% certain that he doesn’t really have another choice. If he does choose that route, you should expect his response to be disproportionately large and extremely effective.

Whatever action he takes, you can be sure he will take it because it is best for America. Because that is what he was elected to do, and this President, unlike his recent predecessors, keeps his promises.

That is all.

WATCH: Trump Cuts Meeting Short, Blasts Pelosi and Schumer

Today’s Campaign Update, Part III
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

President Trump cut this morning’s meeting with Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi short after Pelosi had earlier accused the President of committing a “cover-up.” Following the meeting, the President called the fake press corps together for an impromptu press conference, and it is a thing of beauty.

Just watch it. It’s too long for me to compile a transcript, and there’s no need for any commentary from me. The first 18 minutes or so are the President, the last 12 or so are Pelosi and Schumer lying.

Cher Reaches Peak Liberal Hypocrisy With One 280 Character Tweet

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Dear Cher: Sometimes it is better to stay silent and be thought a fool than to send out a tweet that proves the point.  – President Donald Trump (I never tire of typing those three glorious words) had already gotten pretty much every leading national Democrat in America to admit they really don’t want to have all those inconvenient illegal immigrants placed in their self-designated “sanctuary” cities and states. From Nancy Pelosi to Chuck Schumer to Mayor Pete to Lieawatha to Spartacus, they’d all weighed in by reciting the same talking points script to their co-conspirator reporters that the Trump plan to bus illegals to cities that claimed they actually want them was somehow “cruel” and “uses these migrants as political pawns,” as if that isn’t exactly what the Democrats have been doing with them for the last two decades. The rank hypocrisy was literally breathtaking to behold.

But things got even better on Sunday. So, so, sooooo much better, when the ’60s pop relic and current Resistance icon Cher weighed in with her own unique combination of hubris, arrogance, ignorance and abject hypocrisy. She did it all on Twitter, because of course she did:

As I compile this piece this morning, that tweet has more than 40,000 likes, one of which is mine. I’d like it 1,000 times if only I could, because it is absolutely the perfect expression of today’s mindless leftist hypocrisy, all in less than 280 characters. It is quite literally a masterpiece of the liberal hypocrite art.

See, y’all, this mindless cretin celebrity understands helping struggling immigrants in other cities – y’all should be doing all y’all can because these immigrants are all, like, struggling and stuff or something. But HER CITY – you know, like, Los Angeles and stuff? Why, HER CITY is special. Unlike any of y’all’s cities, CHER’S CITY ISN’T TAKING CARE OF ITS OWN. So it’s all, like, totes special and stuff or something.

See, unlike El Paso or Las Cruces – which appealed to the federal government for more help on Sunday due to the flood of illegals into its friendly confines – or Laredo or San Antonio or Tucson or Albuquerque or any of those towns out here in what Cher calls “flyover country”, HER CITY – that’s, ummmm…Los Angeles, right? – has Citizens WHO LIVE ON THE STREETS! Is that really possible? We’ve never seen that before in Austin or Dallas or Houston or Oklahoma City or Denver. Have we?

Oh, but there’s more – poor Cher! See, HER CITY has PPL WHO – are you ready for this? – LIVE BELOW THE POVERTY LINE, & [ARE] HUNGRY! (ummmm…what’s a “PPL”? I dunno, but Cher sez it’s a thing or something, so it must be a thing. Or something.)

Y’all, it’s soo, soooooooo sad out there in CHER’S CITY, like, you know, Los Angeles or something? And it’s even worse than that, see, ‘cuz some of those PPL WHO LIVE BELOW THE POVERTY LINE & HUNGRY that HER CITY ISN’T TAKING CARE OF ARE VETS! ummmm….what’s a VET? Is that, like, a cat doctor or something?

But it’s not sad out there in OUR CITIES, ‘cuz we don’t have PPL or VETS or … something. And stuff.

Anyways, y’all, we gotta do something in our own towns, ‘cuz if CHER’S CITY and Her State Can’t Take Care of Its Own (many are VETS and even PPL), How Can It Take Care Of More   ummmm…I think there should be, like, a question mark there or something?

Excuse me while I go throw up.

That is all. For now.
