Texans Are Not Ready to Accept Freezing Blackouts as Their “New Normal”

Hey, some of you probably thought I was dead. Well, sorry, Democrats, no such luck. Didn’t have another heart event, didn’t contract the ‘rona, the website isn’t down again. So yay on all of that.

What did happen, though, is we have no power at our home. Haven’t had any since 6:00 a.m. Monday, and it now looks like we won’t have any again until Friday at the earliest. In case you hadn’t heard, the entire state of Texas looks an awful lot like Alaska right now. Ok, well, West Texas looks more like South Dakota, but you get the picture. We’re covered up in snow and ice, the low temperature where I live near Fort Worth was -1 Fahrenheit this morning, we haven’t seen a temperature at my house above freezing since last Wednesday, and won’t see one until Friday. Again, that’s if we’re lucky.

Guess what? Texas does not do a good job of preparing for this kind of weather event. Which makes sense given that we don’t see this kind of stuff but about once a decade. However, we do see it. The last time we had a similar event was exactly a decade ago, in fact, on February 2-3, 2011.

So, while it is understandable, I suppose, that the folks at the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) admit that they simply do not have contingency plans for this kind of severe winter event, I can’t help wondering why not? After all, the rolling blackouts they implemented 10 years ago during that ice event caused a public uproar that resulted in a series of hearings and rulemakings that were supposed to help ensure the grid’s resiliency was fortified to withstand exactly this sort of weather.

Yet, here we are again, and no one at ERCOT or the state’s main infrastructure provider – ONCOR – appears capable of providing a coherent answer why. Frankly, I’m beginning to wonder if we shouldn’t just force ERCOT to take the “R” – for Reliability – out of its name to make it more properly descriptive of what it is the agency actually does. Or rename it “ERSCOT”, with the S standing for “semi-“.

Texans have in recent years made a sport out of making fun of California for its having faded into near-3rd world status where its power grid is concerned. Trust me, that’s a ton of fun. Rolling blackouts and brownouts have become a way of life for Californians as the Democrat policymakers there force their grid to rely far too much on intermittent energy sources like wind and solar at the expense of reliable baseload generation, which must be provided by fossil fuels like natural gas and coal, or by nuclear plants.

Unfortunately, and with little public fanfare, the Republican-led Texas government has also allowed wind power to take a steadily-growing role in the state’s power generation mix over the past decade. Last year, in fact, wind surpassed coal in terms of the percentage of electricity provided to the ERCOT-managed grid, delivering 23% of the total mix, coming in second only to natural gas power plants.

That’s all great so long as you’re willing to pay the price, much of which becomes hidden from ratepayers by ERCOT and the state’s electricity providers, so everybody can pretend to be happy about “going green.” It’s also not so great when well over half the turbines in the state freeze up in near-zero temperatures and 3-12 inches of snowfall.

In the wake of the 2011 event, which was caused mainly by coal-fired plants tripping offline as they froze up and ERCOT’s rolling blackouts including several very large natural gas compressor stations, which caused several natural gas power plants to also go offline, reforms were mandated to prevent ERCOT from denying electricity to those compressor stations. We do not yet know if those reforms worked or not, but several of the state’s natural gas pipeline companies have been experiencing deliverability issues over the last couple of days, so ERCOT’s silence on the matter does make you wonder.

Texas policymakers simply must act in the wake of this event to ensure that the state’s power grid is resilient enough to withstand this kind of severe winter weather event. It is an incredibly dangerous situation when more than 3 million Texans are without power as temperatures remain below freezing for a full week. Texas might look like Alaska and South Dakota right now, but Texans are simply not prepared to deal with this kind of weather for even a couple of days, much less for a week or more.

Californians have been conditioned by their Democrat policymakers to accept this sort of rolling blackout situation as their “new normal” so they can all virtue signal about how “green” they all are. Texans, on the other hand, would rather be warm and safe in their homes than waste time virtue signaling about the environment. Again, trust me on this: Ain’t nobody in Texas ready to happily accept this crap as a “new normal” in their lives.

The state’s policymakers had better take advantage of this disastrous situation to act to really improve the resiliency of the state’s power grid, or there will be hell to pay in next year’s elections.

This situation is simply not acceptable, even if it only happens once a decade. Enough is enough.

I’ll post more when I can.

That is all.

Newsom’s Approval Ratings Crash: Are Californians Finally Waking Up?

Better late than never. – It’s taken almost a full year, but Californians appear to finally be waking up to the reality of the ghoul they put into the governor’s office. No governor in America has abused his or her citizens under the umbrella of COVID response quite to the extent that Gavin Newsom has done to the people of California. This is a guy who has not just ordered his people to stay home cowering in their living rooms for months on end, shut down businesses and thrown people out of work, he has repeatedly made a public spectacle of oafishly violating his own orders and even tailored some provisions to ensure his own high-dollar Napa Valley vineyard suffered minimal impacts.

Yet through all of that, all of those orders that have zero “science” or “data” to really support their need, California has managed to establish perhaps the worst record of any state in actually dealing with the virus’s spread. Finally, a new poll released on Wednesday appears to indicate that most Californians are catching onto the ruse. The new poll, from the University of California at Berkeley’s Institute of Governmental Studies, shows that Newsom’s public approval rating has plummeted by 18 points in just the last 3 months.

From a story at the Washington Examiner:

A new poll conducted by the University of California at Berkeley’s Institute of Governmental Studies found that Gov. Gavin Newsom’s job approval rating plummeted by 18 percentage points in three months. In October, he had a 49% approval rating; in January it dropped to 31%.

Also, 36% of respondents said they support the recall effort against Newsom, which has gained popularity among Democrats.

Roughly 31% of those polled said Newsom has done an excellent or good job in handling the coronavirus, down from 49% in September. Only 22% of respondents gave a favorable response to the state’s vaccine rollout.

The poll was conducted online and included more than 10,000 registered voters. Conducted during the last week of January in both English and Spanish, it’s margin of error is +/- 2 percentage points.

The Los Angeles Times reported that “… even his political allies begin to question the actions he has taken,” which “… provides a sobering sign for the 53-year-old Democrat that his once bright political future, for years the subject of whispers about a potential White House run, has lost some of its shine.”

[End]

That’s not encouraging at all for a governor who must run for re-election next year, regardless of how the current effort to force a recall election against him this year turns out.

That recall petition effort on Newsom continues to proceed with great success, at last report having collected more than 1.3 million of the 1.495 million signatures necessary to force a special recall election later this year. Candidates are already lining up to challenge Newsom on the assumption that the petition effort will be successful, among them right-wing activist Mike Cernvich – who admits he would have “no chance in hell” of defeating Newsom in a runoff election – and billionaire venture capitalist Chamath Palihapitiya, who might stand a better chance.

No doubt many challengers will get in line to try to form up a strong effort to rid the state of the Newsom plague, but no one should be overly optimistic about the Governor ultimately being forced from office. After all, he does have a D by his name on the ballot, and, while many Californians are angry about his serial abuse of their human and constitutional rights throughout this pandemic, we have to remember that most of them will just automatically go back into standard Democrat brainwash mode when it comes down to actually voting for anyone who does not have a D by their name.

These people have collectively behaved like a herd of sheep for more than 30 years now, and never been able to figure out the connection between how they vote and the fact that their state continues to devolve into a 3rd world banana republic before their very eyes. They appear to possess no ability at all to draw a simple ’cause and effect’ conclusion that is so obvious to pretty much everyone else.

Bottom line: Despite this latest encouraging poll, it would be a mistake to assume that translates into an actual positive result on election day.

That is all.

Tuesday News Roundup: Emmet Sullivan is Still out of Control and Elon Musk Flees to Texas

I’m old enough to remember when a presidential pardon meant something. – But it obviously means nothing to corrupt federal judges like Emmet Sullivan, the presiding judge in the frame-up case against General Mike Flynn. Despite the full and complete pardon issued by President Donald Trump a couple of weeks ago, Sullivan has decided to keep his kangaroo court persecuting Flynn running, most likely in an attempt to force Sidney Powell to take time away from pursuing her challenges to the Democrat theft of the presidential election in various states.

On Monday, Sullivan issued orders authorizing the continued filing of Amicus Briefs in the case:

From the article at Gateway Pundit:

Several minute orders by Sullivan were posted to the court docket Monday allowing the filing of amicus briefs in the Flynn case that were filed earlier in the fall when the GOJ motioned to dismiss the case against Flynn. Among those allowed to file are House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) joined by several committee members as well as former Watergate prosecutors. Sullivan refused to dismiss the case even with the charges dropped and has delayed ruling for months even though he was ordered by the D.C. Court of Appeals in a decision rejecting a writ of mandamus request filed by Flynn to “proceed with appropriate dispatch” on the motion to dismiss. That ruling came on August 31. Sullivan is now dragging the case out into December with no end in sight unless another mandamus case is filed by the DOJ or Flynn’s attorney Sidney Powell.

[End]

So, at this point we have a rogue judge who has ignored the outright dropping of this farce of a case by the Department of Justice and an outright presidential pardon. Should Sullivan ultimately attempt to enforce a prison sentence on General Flynn, by what real authority would any law enforcement officer with a conscience and allegiance to his oath of office act to enforce it?

If anything, Sullivan’s ongoing abuse of his office cry out for the need to devise a system of holding federal judges more accountable, because in today’s political environment, there is no such system that is actually viable.

You may all go to hell, and I will go to Texas.” – Sam Houston. – Yesterday I wrote about the plan by management at New York financial icon Goldman Sachs to move a big part of its business operations out of the high tax environment of Manhattan to the friendlier fields of Florida.

Today, we have reports that Elon Musk, who already moved his Tesla truck building plant to Texas, also quietly moved his charitable foundation to the Lone Star State earlier this year.

From the story at Business Insider:

Elon Musk moved his charitable foundation to Texas in October, months before the latest round of speculation around the Tesla CEO potentially leaving California.

Documents filed with the Texas Secretary of State’s office, first spotted by Bloomberg on Monday, show the non-profit merged its existing California entity with a newer one based in Austin, where Tesla is building a factory.

The filing is the latest in a string of signs pointing to Musk’s possible exit from California, which began with a tirade against the state’s coronavirus prevention measures this spring. Most recently, CNBC reported that Musk had told close associates he was planning a move to Texas.

The billionaire has already been spending plenty of time in the Lone Star State, where his other venture, SpaceX, has a launch pad. Beyond COVID-19 restrictions that forced Tesla to temporarily close its factory, California also has some of the highest income tax rates in the country. Musk, the highest paid CEO in the country last year, could stand to save a pretty penny by declaring himself of income tax-less Texas.

[End]

For all you Californians who keep voting for Democrats, this is an object lesson on the base problem with socialism: At some point, you run out of other people’s money to steal. Elon Musk, moving his money away of your state’s grasping politicians, is just the canary in a very big coal mine.

Also for you California natives planning to move to Texas along with Mr. Musk: Don’t come down here and continue to vote for Democrats, as so many of your fellow Californians have stupidly done. Our tolerance level for that bullshit is pretty much all used up.  Thanks.

AOC, Goya’s Employee of the Month. – This is epic:

You gotta love that guy. Buy Goya any chance you get.

Progress in Arizona and Michigan. – Court cases in the two states took steps forward on Monday with positive rulings by state-level judges.

In Arizona, the state’s Supreme Court has agreed to review a case filed by the Arizona GOP. From a story at JustTheNews:

Arizona’s top court has consented to review an appeal connected to the state Republican Party chair’s challenge of Arizona’s election result certification.

The state Republican Party Chair Kelli Ward lodged a notice of appeal on Friday subsequent to Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Steven Warner dismissing the suit.

Maricopa County had nearly 28,000 duplicate ballots and when 1,626 of those were reviewed, nine included an error regarding the duplication of the vote for president, Warner’s decision noted. The court had ordered that counsel could check 100 duplicate ballots and then Maricopa County provided even more than that for the review.

In a video posted on Monday, Ward said “we are asking to look at the 28,000 duplicated ballots that are in Maricopa County alone as well as all of the digitally adjudicated ballots. Now, if you look statewide, because we’d love to look at those as well, there are well over 100,000 ballots that could be affected and that is more than enough to swing this election.”

[End]

Cool.

Meanwhile, in Michigan, a state district judge granted a resident with legal standing the right to perform a forensic audit of Dominion Systems machines and software in Antrim County. From a story at UncoverDC:

Central Lake resident, William Bailey filed a complaint on Nov. 23, arguing that there was election fraud in Antrim County, along with a violation of the “purity of election clause” and requested access to the county’s 22 precinct tabulators, thumb drives, software, and the clerk’s “master tabulator.” Bailey became suspicious when a review of election results turned up 6,000 votes that had been incorrectly attributed to candidate Joe Biden. His original complaint stated the following: “Constitutional right to accuracy and integrity of elections; violation of the purity of elections clause; election fraud; common law election fraud; equal protection violation; statutory election fraud violations.”

He is represented by Matthew S. DePerno, of Portage, Michigan. The lawsuit is separate from the Trump team lawsuit but the results will be accessible by the Trump lawyers. DePerno also plans to file a lawsuit against the State of Michigan for the 161-page contract they signed in 2017 with DVS because the state signed off on the contract knowing it would not be allowed to look under the hood of the machines and their software—something DePerno contends is unconstitutional.

[End]

While these small movements in the process are nice, it should be noted that the Electoral College meets in 6 days to formally decide the election.

Time is growing short and a big win at the highest level is much needed.

That is all.

Gavin Newsom’s Unbridled Energy Hubris

Three big oil and gas-related stories this week were all interrelated with one another, though few really understand that to be the case. Those stories were:

For Governor Newsom, banning hydraulic fracturing – or “fracking” as it has come to be called – in his state is a relatively simple matter in what has become, for all intents and purposes, a one-party state. All he has to do is convince his overwhelming majorities in both houses of California’s state assembly to pass a bill mandating that all fracking operations cease within the state’s borders by a date certain.

Such a move would of course eliminate thousands of oil and gas-related jobs in the state, but most of those are concentrated in Republican Kern County and the surrounding parts of the Central Valley, over which the assembly’s Democrats would have little concern. Besides, they can all just respond to Republican and industry complaints with the Obama-era pretense that all those lost jobs and more will be made up by the heavily-subsidized wind and solar industries. It will be akin to former President Obama telling West Virginia coal miners and Ohio steel workers that their jobs are never coming back and they should all go learn to code.

Replacing the state’s millions of gas and diesel autos with electric vehicles will be far more complicated. Newsom’s order gets that ball rolling by requiring the California Air Resources Board to implement the phaseout of new gas-powered cars and light trucks in the coming years, and also require medium and heavy-duty trucks to be zero-emission by 2045 where possible. Sounds simple, right?

But here’s the thing about all of that: The generation and provision of energy is basically a zero-sum game. When you ban one energy source, you must figure out a way to generate the same amount of energy by another source. You either do that or you accept the reality that energy will become scarce, and thus far more expensive so that consumers demand less of it, and write off the negative economic consequences that will inevitably result.

Democrat Energy Policies on Display in California Rolling Blackouts

It’s 93 degrees in Southern California on Tuesday, and 10 million Californians are without power to their homes as a result.

I kid you not.

The corrupt hacks in the Democrat news media are trying to pretend that, as Politico claims, “everyone faces blame,” but the truth is that these blackouts are a direct result of proscriptive, Green New Deal-style energy policies adopted by Democrat-dominated governments over the last quarter of a century.

Here’s an excerpt from that Policito report:

The exact root of California’s rolling blackouts is still unclear as more power outages loom, and that’s allowed everyone to point fingers.

Energy experts Monday cited a litany of potential causes for the rotating outages that affected hundreds of thousands of California residents Friday and Saturday nights: ballooning demand, inadequate transmission, an overreliance on renewable energy and natural gas plant challenges during hot weather.

While California braced for another round of rolling blackouts Monday night, the state’s grid operator held off for a second straight night, citing cooler than expected weather and widespread conservation. It also came as Gov. Gavin Newsom questioned all of the state’s electricity players about why the outages occurred and faced blowback from frustrated residents. Still, the state says more blackouts affecting millions of residents could occur this week as a historic heat wave endures.

California has endured planned blackouts in recent years as a wildfire prevention measure. But it was the Golden State’s first round of rolling blackouts related to supply since 2001, when Enron and other energy traders manipulated California’s market.

[End]

Note how the corrupt Politico hacks managed to insert a reference to Enron, a company that did indeed manipulate markets in California and other parts of the country, but which hasn’t even existed for almost 20 years. Note also, however, the key admission that Democrat governors Jerry Brown and Gavin Newsom have both used rolling blackouts intentionally as bogus “fire prevention measures”, an effort designed to condition residents of the Golden State to accept such systemic losses of power as just another part of the Democrat-induced “new normal.”

Understand what this means, folks: To California’s depraved Democrats, rolling blackouts are not an inconvenience to be avoided, but a public conditioning tool to be intentionally deployed during major emergencies.

The next three paragraphs of this lede-burying story reveal the real nature of the issue:

Earlier Monday, the California Independent System Operator blamed Friday’s outages on “high heat and increased electricity demand.” Yet some energy experts noted that demand wasn’t particularly higher than normal, as is typical for weekends, and CAISO had predicted it would have adequate reserves on hand for the 80 percent of California’s grid that it manages.

“What’s weird about what happened is they were adequate until they weren’t,” said Michael Wara, director of Stanford University’s climate and energy program and a member of the state’s Catastrophic Wildfire Cost and Recovery Commission. “It seems as if certain power plants for some reason were not able to deliver on the commitments to supply reserves and also supply energy.”

Because the Friday outage started around 6:30 p.m., when solar is ramping down and gas-fired plants are ramping up, gas is the likely immediate culprit, Wara said. “The timing of all this strongly suggests problems with gas plants,” he said.

[End]

Why yes, there are “problems with gas plants” in California: There aren’t enough of them, because the Democrat-controlled government in Sacramento has spent the last 20-plus years making them increasingly costly to permit and build. In addition, the absurdly impractical emissions goals adopted by a string of leftwing governors have given public utilities like CAISO no choice but to resort to a massive over-reliance of intermittent sources like wind and solar while at the same time under-building new base-load capacity fired by natural gas plants.

Indeed, it is not even possible at this point to build any form of true baseload power plants in California other than combined cycle natural gas, as coal and nuclear has been basically outlawed by the communist Democrats in the state. And so, we have the rolling blackouts day after day during a summer that is not particularly hot by California standards and which is positively mild by standards seen in other southwestern states.

What we are in fact seeing taking place in California this week is nothing more or less than a preview of the kinds of summer days filled with rolling blackouts that the energy/environment policies endorsed by Joe Biden and Kamala Harris would produce for the entire nation.

If you like your air conditioning and want to keep it, vote for Donald Trump. It really is that simple.

That is all.

Madness: Chinese Airlines Will Resume Flights to Locked-Down California

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

“What in the wide, wide world of sports is a-goin’ on here?” – Thursday evening, depraved Democrat California Governor Gavin Newsom put his entire state population under a lockdown order:

Other than New York’s Andrew Cuomo, Newsom has been the nation’s most aggressive governor in using draconian tactics to control his population during this crisis. It’s important to note that his crisis was caused and greatly exacerbated by 10,000 Chinese citizens per day flowing into this country during December and January while Chinese communist government officials lied to the world about the extent of the outbreak in Wuhan province. The vast majority of those 10,000 Chinese citizens arrived on jumbo jets flying from China to destinations on the West and East coasts of America.

Luckly, President Donald Trump acted quickly to end that madness, issuing a travel ban by Chinese citizens to the U.S. on January 31, likely saving thousands of American lives in the process. It’s also important to note that Trump was roundly demonized by Democrat politicians like Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders for taking that crucial action. There is no question that no Democrat president would have made this decision to save American lives.

I go through all of this today because of a new report by the San Francisco Chronicle that Chinese airlines are suddenly planning to resume flights from mainland China to California as soon as March 28, just six days from now.

From that piece:

While most U.S. airlines are cutting flights to historically low numbers because of the coronavirus pandemic, three mainland Chinese carriers plan to resume non-stop flights to San Francisco International Airport this month, a move SFO officials said “marks a hopeful change in direction.”

The resumption of flights is one of several early signs that the worst could be over in China, meaning the crisis will eventually come to an end here, too.

China Eastern will resume a daily non-stop flight this month between its hub in Shanghai and San Francisco using a Boeing 777-300ER jet. Flights are expected to start on Saturday, March 28.

[End]

Huh? Beg pardon? Say what????

What dark madness is this? We have a state whose population is in full lockdown thanks to a virus imported from China now planning to welcome new flights from China with open arms?

Later in the piece, we get information that is somewhat comforting:

Foreign nationals who have been in mainland China for the last 14 days are banned from entering the United States. U.S. citizens and legal permanent residents are allowed to return home, but must quarantine for 14 days after their arrival.

So who might book these flights? Undoubtedly, it will be the people who urgently need to travel intercontinentally.

Perhaps it’s the Americans who have been in China for the past two months — there are many who split their time between family in the mainland and Northern California — or the foreign nationals here on the West Coast who have been unable to return home until now.

And of course, those big jets have big cargo holds, and there is plenty of pent-up demand for U.S. and Chinese products on both sides of the Pacific.

All three airlines are majority owned by the Chinese government (Air China is the national flag carrier), so operating these flights at near-empty loads and at a financial loss should not be much of a concern for each carrier. The likelihood is these flights will be mostly empty, and that’s okay when you have the deep pockets of the Chinese government to finance these flights.

[End]

Thus, the provisions of the Trump travel ban remain in place related to Chinese nationals and others.

No question there is pent-up demand for goods from China, but that demand only further points to the madness that the U.S., thanks to 28 years of globalist administrations prior to Trump’s taking office, allowed our country to become insanely dependent on China for the supply chains related to a vast array of critical products.

The very fact that our own government is even contemplating allowing flights from China to California to resume while the California population is being told to shelter in place is a special kind of madness of its own. And it needs to end.

This crisis is a golden opportunity for President Trump to force any U.S. corporation that will be receiving bailout funds to move their entire supply chains and the jobs associated with them back to America. Period.

Don’t let this crisis go to waste, Mr. President. End this madness.

That is all.

A Week Later, Bernie Sanders “Win” in California Remains in Jeopardy

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

You seriously could never make this stuff up. – When California ostensibly held its Republican and Democrat primaries last Tuesday, all the networks and the Associated Press called the race in Bernie Sanders’ favor pretty much as soon as the polls closed. After all, The Commie had a very large early lead, one that seemed to be insurmountable.

But this is California, the state where, in the 2018 general election, no fewer than 8 Republicans went to bed on Election Night believing they had won their congressional race against Democrat opponents. What they didn’t understand then – and what the networks and The Commie may have lost sight of this year – is that “votes” would continue to be mined by Democrats for weeks after election day, thanks to the election fraud-promoting laws enacted in recent years by California Democrats who control the state government.

In the weeks following the 2018 election those 8 Republicans looked on helplessly as each of their wins were reversed as Democrats “mined” hundreds of thousands of “votes” that had not been included in the Election Day results. It seemed as if the entire state of California had been turned into Broward County, Florida.

As you read this piece today, more than 3.5 million “votes” still remain to be “counted” in the California primary, roughly 2.3 million of which will likely be counted on the Democrat side, six full days after the election supposedly took place. Here is an excerpt from a Times of San Diego piece on the matter:

According to estimates published by county election registrars, as of Thursday night, there are 3.5 million ballots left to count. (The Secretary of State’s office showed a count of about 3.3 million, but that did not include the latest updated numbers from Los Angeles County.)

San Diego County accounted for 290,000 of those uncounted ballots on Thursday night, but 40,000 were subsequently counted on Friday, and more will be counted on Saturday.

That small mountain of unprocessed popular will comes courtesy of last minute voters — those who either put their ballots in the mail on Election Day itself, or who voted in person but exercised their California-given right to register or change their political party on the spot.

Ok, get it? California Democrats have enacted laws that are literally designed to delay the vote count, and every day the vote count is delayed is a day that is ripe for opportunity for more voter fraud committed by Democrat operatives who control the “counting” process all over the state.

The next paragraph of the piece lays out the most prime opportunity for these operatives to manipulate the outcomes of close elections:

They also include ballots that were ripped, bent, marred by typos, or that otherwise gave a voting machine a hard time and will thus require the careful study of a human election worker.

Ah, the “careful study of a human election worker.” That’s exactly how Lyndon Johnson “won” his first election to the U.S. Senate in 1948. It’s exactly the method the Democrats who control the “counting” in Broward and Palm Beach counties in Florida delay the vote counts in their counties for days in every election cycle in a blatant effort to manipulate the outcomes of close statewide elections. In 2000, they damn near succeeded in even stealing a presidential election.

With 2.3 million “uncounted votes” in the Democrat primary still outstanding, The Commie holds a seemingly significant lead of over 271,000 votes. But that amounts to just 12% of the “vote” that remains to be “counted.” As creative and focused as the Democrats have been on ensuring Sanders never becomes their party’s nominee, that does not really seem like too big a hill to climb.

Luckily for Sanders, though, the preponderance of the outstanding votes appear to be in Los Angeles County and south, heavily-Hispanic areas where The Commie fared well on election day. But as we have seen over the last several election cycles, anything is possible when it comes to Democrat Party-controlled vote “counting.”

That is all.

Dr. Drew: 80% of California Coast Infested With Human Feces

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

This Friday interview by Laura Ingraham with Dr. Drew Pinskey has received the blackout treatment from our fake news media since the problem is for the most part due to yet another failure of Democrat-pushed policies.  Those policies are turning the coastal Pacific into a cesspool of human waste.

Take a look at the video clip here – a transcript follows below for those of you who still like to read:

Here’s a partial transcript of the key points:

Laura Ingraham: Well, it’s not really smoke on the water, it’s poop in the water. A new report is finding that human and animal feces are contaminating some of America’s most popular beaches. The nation’s dirtiest? Well, you’ll find out that outside of LA, for California as a whole, nearly 80% of the state’s beaches had at least one day with fecal matter above EPA safety levels.

Here now is Dr. Drew Pinsky. Dr. Drew, some are pushing back against this study, but do these findings seem plausible to you?

Drew Pinsky: Oh, absolutely. What’s going on here in Southern California, I can tell you precisely what’s happening here. There is an organization out here called Heal the Bay which keeps tabs on safety of our beaches in Southern Calfornia, from Orange County to Ventura. Since the rains last Winter, [Heal the Bay] has been giving our beaches C’s to F’s, and F means completely overrun with fecal bacteria. What comes with that are other things like syringes, Hepatitis A and other infectious diseases.

Now, I spoke to a representative at Heal the Bay. His explanation was all the runoff from the fires… the fires that caused about 2 dozen homes to get disconnected from the sewage treatment plant. [Obviously an absurdity]

Laura, there are 60,000 people defecating directly into our gutters every day. Urinating, defecating, bleeding. Their sewage is going directly into the ocean. We’ve had a massive die off of sea mammals in the spring, and for goodness sakes, if a city the size of Pasadena   suddenly became disconnected from our sewage treatment plant that where do you think the environmentalists would be on that? They would be screaming bloody murder. Where are they now? Where are they? This is a catastrophe. It is exposing all of us to potential, really serious infectious diseases.”

I was a lifeguard on those beaches back in the day – I know what’s going on when water gets bad…Runoffs happen all the time, but this was a consistent contamination of our water, and why shouldn’t it be? As many as 80,000 people are contributing directly into the LA River, into the Santa Ana River Basin. These river let out – guess what, where do they let out? Into the Ocean.

Laura: There’s also a problem with Mexico, pumping their raw sewage into the ocean. I did a report on this, I think it was 20 years ago. Terrible problem with raw sewage from Mexico, floats up to the San Diego beaches, and that’s been a persistent problem for a long time.

You mentioned the homeless crisis in California. This YouTube star named “Flecas Talks” hit skid row to show just how horrifying the situation has become [shows video clip].

Watch the rest of the video. It’s something all Americans need to see.

That is all.

Why Californians Can’t Wait to Get to Texas, Part 6,572

Today’s Campaign Update, Part III
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Two interesting articles today on studies conducted by two different groups shed light on why so many people are leaving Democrat-run California to move to Texas, where no Democrat has won a statewide election in a quarter of a century.

The first study, from the very liberal Brookings Institution, cites Texas as having 3 of the 5 most popular destination cities for Millennial professionals: Dallas, Austin and Houston. The other two cities that round out the top 5 in this analysis are Denver and Seattle. Note the absence of any city from California, even those that reside in the Silicon Valley region of the state.

As reported by the Houston Chronicle, Houston has averaged importing a net 15,000 young adults between the ages of 25 to 34 each of the last five years, while cities like Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, San Diego and Miami have lost between 7,000 and 19,000 each of those years. Of those five largest population-losing cities, only Miami is part of a state that is not a Democrat stronghold, although the city itself certainly is. Of the five cities leading the gainers, only Seattle is part of a predominantly-Democrat state, although Colorado is now leaning in that direction.

With Seattle’s mushrooming homeless issue and a Democrat city government that is now actively encouraging the business community to go elsewhere, it will be very interesting to see the results of the next Brookings study five years from now. Ditto Denver, where Colorado is now going through its first year of a totally-leftist-Democrat-dominated state government, which is going about implementing a whole raft of radical policies, most of which will negatively impact the business community there.

The second very interesting study comes to us from the leftist American Lung Association, and its annual State of the Air report. CNN’s report on that study contains the following very interesting passage:

An increasing number — more than 20.5 million people — lived in counties with year-round particle pollution problems. Topping that list was the Fresno-Madera-Hanford, California, area; followed by Bakersfield, California; Fairbanks, Alaska; Visalia, California; Los Angeles-Long Beach, California; San Jose-San Francisco-Oakland, California; the Pittsburgh-New Castle Weirton, Pennsylvania-Ohio-West Virginia area; El Centro, California; the Cleveland-Akron-Canton, Ohio, area; and Medford-Grants Pass, Oregon.

So, 11 of the cities with the worst air pollution happen to be in California, despite decades of mindless radical leftwing policies implemented by Democrat-dominated legislatures and a parade of liberal governors. The CNN report naturally tries to blame it all on Donald Trump – because of course it does – but it ignores the reality that California’s air quality standards have been stricter than those of the EPA for decades now. None of that state’s issues have a damn thing to do with a President who has only been in office for two years.

Note which state does not place a single city on that list: Texas. Which, as mentioned above, has been governed by a purely-Republican state government for 25 years now.

This not a coincidence, folks.

Of course, as I’ve discussed in the past, the problem with all these migrating Californians is that they leave that state to get away from all the high-tax, anti-business policies enacted by Democrats, and then they move to a new state and just keep on voting for more Democrats. Nobody in our fake news media will acknowledge it, but that’s one of the main reasons why Colorado has transitioned from a reliable GOP state to a near-reliable Democrat state over the last 20 years.

That is also why the states of Arizona and Nevada are verging on a similar transition, and it’s why we saw the winning margins of winning GOP candidates in Texas narrow in 2018 as compared to previous election cycles in the 21st century.

So, right now Texas has far more attractive and less polluted cities than California, but as more and more native Californians leave their home state to get to Texas, that will all eventually begin to change.

As a 7th generation native Texan myself, I’d prefer that President Trump build a wall around California than along the Rio Grande, simply to preserve the health of my home state.

God Bless Texas.

That is all.

The Fake News Media Doesn’t Even Put Up A Pretense Anymore

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

All fake news, all the time. – If you still do not believe that our national media establishment is 100% in the pocket of the Democrat Party and coordinates messaging with that political party on a daily basis, consider the following story.

We are now in Day 9 of a partial “government shutdown” that exists over the issue of illegal immigration. Early this week, in the midst of this “government shutdown,” a California law enforcement officer was murdered by an illegal alien who he was attempting to arrest for what would have been the illegal’s THIRD DUI crime. Yes, that’s right: thanks to California’s sanctuary laws, this illegal had already been arrested for and convicted of two DUIs, has known gang affiliation, and despite all of that had been allowed to just get out of jail and roam free on the state’s highways to put more lives in danger.

Anyway, that murder took place four days ago now, and in all that time, not one Democrat officeholder has been asked by one intrepid “journalist” to comment on the situation.  Think about that: California has 53 members of the house and 2 U.S. senators, and not one of them has had to field a single question about how they can continue to support open borders and sanctuary laws when their state’s police officers and citizens are being murdered by illegal aliens.

The reason why is obvious: The media and the Democrats are coordinating on a narrative, and that narrative dictates that only Republicans must field difficult questions about illegal immigration. Any “journalist” who violates the narrative runs the risk of being dis-invited from all the best dinner parties. This is not complicated, folks.

Speaking of fake news… – two other fake news stories dominated the fake media this week, and boy, were they doozies.

First, you had the “bone spurs” story. This story, which we’ve heard many, many times before, made a comeback this week, with “new” information.  That “new” information came in the form of the two daughters of the doctor who treated Donald Trump for bone spurs in 1968 claiming that her father – who is conveniently dead – told them that he faked the diagnosis on orders from Trump’s father Fred Trump, so that Donald Trump could avoid the military draft in effect at the time.

1968 is half a century ago, for those who are chronologically challenged.

So, first of all, who cares? Other than a bunch of pedantic Millenial soy boys and valley girls staffing the fake reporter desks at CNN and MSNBC, that is.

Second of all, why should we believe these two women?  In all seriousness – there is literally no reason at all to believe they are anything other than liberal attention-seekers. They bring with them zero supporting evidence – no documentation, no statements from their father or any other doctor. No media outlet would have dreamed of going forward with this story were it leveled at a Democrat president, yet every media outlet in America has parroted the claim this week.

Third of all, who cares? Yes, that deserves repeating.

The next big fake story of the week came from the pathetic McClatchy News Service, which updated its claim from earlier this year that ex-Trump lawyer Michael Cohen had visited Prague during the 2016 campaign to hold secret meetings with Russian agents. This story has been debunked more times than the one about the moon landings being faked, but that didn’t stop McClatchy running with an update claiming that …

“A mobile phone traced to President Donald Trump’s former lawyer and “fixer” Michael Cohen briefly sent signals ricocheting off cell towers in the Prague area in late summer 2016, at the height of the presidential campaign, leaving an electronic record to support claims that Cohen met secretly there with Russian officials, four people with knowledge of the matter say.”

Those “four people with knowledge of the matter”? They are not merely anonymous sources – they are anonymous sources being quoted by other anonymous sources, as Brit Hume so ably pointed out:

The reason why McClatchy’s story remains “exclusive” is that it is so obviously faked that none of the other fake media outlets want to touch it.

This is the sort of nonsense your President has to put up with on a daily basis.  It is intentional, it is relentless and it is unending.

Some Twitter funnies to close out this morning’s Campaign Update:

Why yes, yes it is:

You think I’m kidding?  Just watch…

I’m afraid it isn’t a parody at all…

This also is not a parody.  A “Women’s March” event in California has been cancelled because it is “too white.”

Meanwhile, in Paris, the Yellow Vest protesters have identified the real enemy of the people:

That is all.

Refugees From Central America or From California – Pick Your Poison

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Well, it took about a year longer than I figured it would, but hey, NBC has very low standards for their on-air talent. – Megyn Kelly appears to have been canned by NBC on Thursday for having violated the rules of political correctness on her extremely low-rated morning program on Tuesday.  The fake news network had been casting around for a good reason to eat the remaining tens of millions left on Kelly’s hilariously-unjustified $69 milllion contract, and she finally provided them with a good enough excuse.

As a refugee from Fox News, and an imperious and obnoxious one at that, Kelly was roundly detested by basically everyone she came into contact with at NBC, and thus had no internal support base to defend her when she made her remarks on Tuesday, which basically amounted to “it was ok for a white kid to dress up as Dianna Ross for Halloween when I was a kid.”

To be clear, not it wasn’t.  Megyn Kelly was a kid in the Albany area of New York in the 1970s and 1980s, and no, it was not ok in the 1980s to put black-face makeup on your white kid and dress them up in an afro and sparkly dress and try to pass her off as Dianna Ross.  That stuff all went out the window in the late 1960s, along with re-runs of Amos ‘n Andy and Jim Crow laws.

Kelly issued a tearful on-air apology on her Wednesday show, which would have been enough for any of the other on-air “talent” at NBC, but could never be enough for someone known to harbor – gasp! – conservative points of view.  Plus, her show was a disaster from day one, so NBC grabbed the excuse to get her off the air and out of its hair.

I do not feel even a little bit of sympathy for Kelly, who is one of the most over-rated people I’ve ever observed in any profession.  But everyone should understand that her treatment by NBC right now is completely biased and unfair.  If NBC wanted to simply fire her because her program is a dumpster fire, that would be totally justified, because that is absolutely the case.  But firing her for making an admittedly stupid on-air comment for which literally no one else at NBC would be fired is wrong.

The truth is that Kelly’s biggest mistake – her “original sin” in NBC’s eyes – was not becoming a wild-eyed leftist on-air when she moved to NBC so she would fit in with all the other on-air talent.  That’s what Alisyn Camerota did when she moved from Fox News to CNN, and she is completely ensconced as the permanent host of a morning show over there that no one watches.  Camerota could say exactly what Kelly said and no one would blink an eye.  Why?  Because she is always mindlessly leftwing in her views, always adheres strictly to the daily DNC talking points, and thus no one at CNN would ever think of her ever intentionally being politically incorrect.

Dang, have I really just written 550 words about Megyn Kelly?  Enough.  Let’s move on.

Speaking of refugees, isn’t it amazing how the fake news media has stopped speaking of them? – Seriously, the obviously-staged “migrant caravan” that had been almost the sole focus of our fake news media for 10 solid days suddenly disappeared from our TV screens entirely yesterday in favor of the incredible un-explosive pipe bomb story.  Funny how that happens, huh?

Well, the “caravan” is still there, still heading up the western side of Mexico, the “refugees” still getting coached about what to say by their Democrat organizers for when they arrive at the U.S. border.  The current size of the caravan is variously estimated to be 3,600 by the Mexican government, 7,000 or 14,000, depending on which fake news media source you wish to believe.  In fact, the Mexican government claimed yesterday that something around 1,500 of the “refugees” who are supposedly fleeing “gangs” in their home country of Honduras have sought and been granted asylum in the gang-dominated failed state of Mexico.  Go figure.

We’re almost two weeks into this story and we have yet to see one single, solitary Democrat express the desire to protect our nation’s sovereign right to decide who we allow to come into our country.  Not one.  Think about that:  I just showed you a video in Monday’s Update of Barack Hussein Obama aggressively expressing his view in 2005 that the U.S. must control illegal immigration.  That’s just 13 years ago, and you can go out to YouTube and see similar videos of luminaries like Harry Reid, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Dianne Feinstein and Chuck Schumer saying the same things.

That was, of course, before the elevation of Obama to the presidency and the reorganization of the entire Democrat Party on Saul Alinsky Rules for Radicals principles.  Today, instead of pretending to be the protectors of working class Americans, the Democrats favor opening up our borders completely in order to create as much societal chaos as possible and in the belief that these millions of people fleeing failed socialist states will come into America and continue favoring the same failed socialist policies because that is all they know.  They’re probably right, and if they can ever succeed in getting all these millions of illegal aliens voting rights, the Democrats could once again become our dominant political party and implement their long-desired socialist nirvana that would completely destroy America as we know it.

Hell, they’re already making progress in that regard just from all the Californian refugees that have relocated to other states in the past 20 years.  Look around the country right now and you see all these tight races in states like Montana, Nevada, Arizona and Colorado, states that had been reliably “red” states that are now on the verge of turning completely blue.  They also happen to be states that have had large influxes of citizens fleeing the socialist nirvana of California in recent years.

In their political behavior, Californians are no different from these Central American refugees:  They flee their home state due to the high taxes and brutal regulations implemented by the socialist government there which have made it incredibly hard for middle class Americans to make a living, own a home and live a semi-free life.  But, when they arrive in their new state, they just keep on voting for the same Democrat types who created all the governmental chaos that led them to flee in the first place.

That is how you get a down-the-line leftwinger like Montana’s Jon Tester, one of Chuck Schumer’s most reliable votes, positioned to possibly win re-election against a pretty strong Republican candidate.  It’s how you get to the point where the voters in Colorado are about to slit their own economic wrists by passing a ballot initiative that would basically outlaw drilling for incredibly abundant oil and gas reserves there.  It’s how you get a limp-wristed jerk like Jeff Flake representing Arizona, and a neck-and-neck race between a strong GOP candidate who is a true American hero and a radical leftist Democrat who has no real qualifications for the job to take Flake’s place.

Thus, while Democrats everywhere are anxious as they can be to let as many illegals as they possibly can from Central America and all other failed socialist states into our country, the reality is that they are already beginning to achieve their goals simply by continuing to destroy California’s middle class and forcing it to move to other states.  It’s one of the great ironies of our time.

Maybe it is time for leaders in these other states to force anyone moving to their state from California to spend time in some sort of re-education facility before joining the general population.  These people obviously need some de-programming to get the California mindset out of them so that they can become actual productive members of society again.  Call it a matter of self-preservation.

That is all.

Austin’s Equity Office Raises the Bar for Stupid

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

[Photo:  The Littlefield Fountain on the University of Texas campus.]

Thanks for the well wishes. – I appreciate the expressions of concern I received yesterday wondering where in the world the Campaign Update had gone.  I had a medical procedure that went well and am back feeling semi-lucid this morning.  So, although it’s a little late, I decided to whip this one out just to see if I can put coherent sentences together.  The Campaign Update will resume its regular Covfefe-time schedule tomorrow morning.

Johnny Carson voice:  Austin’s city government is really really dumb.

Audience:  How dumb is it?

Johnny Carson voice:  It’s so dumb that it makes Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez look like a brain surgeon by comparison.  [Rimshot!]

The City of Austin wastes tons of money every year on something it calls an “Equity Office,” which I assume must be a big thing in all the cities of California, since idiots fleeing from California have now basically annexed the City of Austin.  Austin’s Equity Office issued a set of recommendations on Friday to continue the City’s ongoing efforts to erase its history in the name of fairness or something.

Those recommendations include changing a bunch of street names, like Dixie Drive, Confederate Avenue and Plantation Road, all of which could be said by a reasonable person to be offensive.  So, were the issue left there, no controversy would exist, or very little.

But of course, the nitwits who infest the Equity Office couldn’t leave it there, oh, no.  These people have the California mindset after all, and the California mindset dictates that things like this must be taken to absurd extremes.

So, you have a recommendation to change the name of Littlefield Street on the list.  The name “Littlefield” is iconic with University of Texas Athletics.  Clyde Littlefield was UT’s track and field coach from 1920 through 1961, and its head football coach from 1927 through 1933.  His teams won 25 Southwest Conference championships, he was on the U.S. coaching staff of the 1952 summer Olympics games in Helsinki, and he founded the long-running Texas Relays, one of the most famous track and field events on earth, in 1925.

But Clyde’s not the target of the Equity Offices ire, even though he’s the only Littlefield any current Austinite has ever heard of.  No, the history erasers are after the totally unrelated Confederate Colonel George Littlefield, who in 1918 donated a bunch of money to UT to erect several statues honoring famous Civil War generals like Stonewall Jackson and Robert E. Lee.  Those statues were taken down in the dead of night on the orders of UT President Greg Fenves in 2015.  The only Littlefield-funded monument remaining on UT’s campus is the also-iconic Littlefield Fountain that resides at the south end the campus’s main mall.

So, the inclusion of Littlefield Street on this list is going to create a ton of confusion.  Here’s a thought:  Keep the name and change the dedication from George to Clyde.  But that’s too logical – this is California Thought we are dealing with here.

Then there’s the proposal to rename Barton Springs and no fewer than 10 streets named for Thomas Barton, one of the great pioneers of early Texas, who was also at one time a slave owner.  Barton Springs also happens to be one of Austin’s biggest tourist attractions – think of the massive loss of revenues the City will suffer from all the confusion a name change would create.  Pure idiocy.

But it just gets worse, folks, trust me here.

By far the dumbest recommendation on the Equity Offices list is the proposal to …wait for it….oh, you gotta wait for this one…CHANGE THE NAME OF THE CITY ITSELF!  I swear I do not make this stuff up.

Yes, friends, it seems that even Stephen F. Austin, the very father of Texas himself, is not immune from the stupidity practiced by those who follow California Thought.  This effort to literally erase the name of “Austin” from Texas’s history is based on a single sentence Mr. Austin – who suffered so greatly in his efforts to free Texas from the brutish rule of Santa Ana’s Mexican government – wrote in one of his letters.  In that sentence, he opposed the abolishment of slavery in the then-province of Tejas because if the slaves were freed, they would turn into “vagabonds, a nuisance and a menace.”

An execrable thought, no question about it.  But based on that single thought expressed in one of many  letters he wrote during his life that was filled with so many great acts and sacrifices, Austin’s Equity Office proposes to erase the man who is the actual founder of the State of Texas from the City’s history.

Here’s a better idea:  Let’s change the name of the City of Austin’s Equity Office instead.  Here are a few alternatives based on the output of the Office to date:

  • the Office of California Thought;
  • the Orwell Commission;
  • that Bunch of Really, Really Stupid People.

I vote for #3.

Just another day in you can’t cure stupid America.

That is all.

Comey’s Convoluted Con Continues, and Sessions Starts Clearing the Decks

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Why is NBC News such a cesspit of sexual harrassment? – Tom Brokaw got his #Metoo moment on the same day Bill Cosby was convicted of being a serial rapist.  The long-time NBC Nightly News and Today Show host was accused by former NBC and Fox News reporter Linda Vester of creating a very, very hostile work environment, quite similar to the environment that former Today Show host Matt Lauer created while he was at NBC.

NBC News is certainly not alone in having employed a series of skirt-chasing anchormen with egos as out-sized as the fictional Ron Burgundy, but it sure does seem to have been sex abuse central for the mainstream fake news media over the past 30 years.  And let’s never, ever forget that NBC aired the wildly popular Cosby Show, starring a serial rapist who drugged his victims, during the same years Brokaw was the star of its news division.

And these people wonder why journalists are held in the same level of esteem as used car salesmen.

Please, just don’t come to Texas. Economists Art Laffer and Stephen Moore have an op/ed in the Wall Street Journal in which they predict that as many as 800,000 mainly wealthy people will flee the extreme high-tax states of California and New York in the next few years, as the provisions of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act kick in.  Laffer and Moore predict that the limitations on deductions for state income, sales and property taxes will simply make it too expensive for these people to remain in their current home states.

The other 48 states in the union should look on at this story in horror, because the problem with New Yorkers and Californians fleeing to other states to get away from high taxes and high costs of living is this:  They go to other states and just keep voting for the same kind of idiot Democrats whose policy decisions caused them to flee in the first place.

Migrating Californians have already basically destroyed the state of Colorado; they’re responsible for sending the execrable John Tester to represent the state of Montana in the U.S. Senate; and they’re at least partly responsible for turning the once-quaint college town of Austin into a liberal nirvana of wildly-expensive, riderless light rail and bike lanes that make it pretty much impossible to get anywhere in the center city in less than half an hour.

Laffer and Moore say the migration won’t be limited to California and New York, stating “The losers will be most of the Northeast, along with California. The winners are likely to be states like Arizona, Nevada, Tennessee, Texas and Utah.”

Well, that all depends on how you define the word “winners.”  Those states should be very, very careful what they ask for, because politically, these people are barely distinguishable from a plague of locusts.

Comey’s Convoluted Con Continues. – I was going to talk about the fact that the Korean War is about to come to a formal end thanks to the aggressive foreign policies pursued by President Donald Trump, but as I was putting together this morning’s Campaign Update, the President just issued this tweet:

The teen drama queen ex-FBI Director who Mr. Trump had the “pleasure” of firing made the mistake of subjecting himself to a real interview with a real journalist – Fox News’s Bret Baier – last night, and the results were indeed rather stunning.

Here are just a few of the obvious, blatant lies Comey blurted out during the very tough questioning from Mr. Baier:

  • He claims that he still, to this day, does not know that the fake Trump Dossier was funded by the DNC and the Pantsuit Princess Campaign;
  • Even better, he repeated the claim that the work on the fake dossier was initially funded by Republicans, a bald-faced lie that was debunked months ago;
  • He continued to insist that his memos of conversations with Trump were not an FBI work product, saying that “I always thought of it as mine, like a diary.”  A diary?  Really???  Do you see now why I call him a teen drama queen?   The director of the FBI knows better than to make this hilariously false claim;
  • He laughably claims to this day to see no bias evident in the texts between Peter Strzok and his mistress, Lisa Page:  “When I saw the texts, I was deeply disappointed in them, but I never saw any bias.”  Holy crap;
  • And of course, he continues to claim that the four memos he leaked to his pal, Columbia Law Professor Andrew Richman, who then leaked them to the New York Times, do not constitute leaking;

Upon hearing that final claim, South Carolina Cong. Trey Gowdy, who is himself a former prosecutor, said that “what he defines as a ‘leak’ is what everybody else calls a ‘felony’.”

At this point, watching Comey give an interview is eerily reminiscent of that scene in The Godfather II, when Michael Corleone is called to testify before a congressional committee.  That’s not a good look on a guy who has been leaking classified information, lying to congress and probably obstructing justice to be putting on each’s night’s 5 o’clock news.

Mr. Mueller, tear up that big bag of nothing! – Finally, while all of that other stuff was going on, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, during his own testimony to congress yesterday, publicly advised Special Counsel Robert Mueller to take his giant bag of nothing against President Trump and wrap it up.  The fake news media of course did its best to bury this huge development – here’s a link to a typical example, a story on the matter from CNBC, which buries the lede in the very last sentence of a 500-word piece.

Because that’s what our fake news media does.  But no matter – you can bet Mueller heard Mr. Sessions’ message loud and clear.  Sessions didn’t just say that in testimony before congress for the sake of hearing himself talk.

Oh, and by the way, in case you missed it, Rod Rosenstein is “taking a pause” from his duties managing Mr. Mueller, ostensibly because he’s just the only guy in the whole Department of Justice who can argue a particular case before the Supreme Court.  Ok, sure.  The duties of managing Mueller have been assumed by Trump appointee, Solicitor General Noel Francisco.  Good timing there.  I’m sure it’s all just a coincidence.

Or maybe it’s this:  The decks are being cleared for the issuance of the Inspector General’s report in May, and Sessions was advising Mueller that it is time to shut the Witch Hunt down and let real justice take its course.  And Rosenstein’s “pause” was a great way for him to recuse without using the word “recuse.”  The word “pause” looks so much better in fake news media headlines.

Just another day in the conspiracy to end the Trump presidency is falling apart America.

That is all.

Trump and North Korea: Proof The Reagan Doctrine Works

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Barbara Bush, America’s matriarch, Rest In Peace.

Tired of all this Winning yet?  – It turns out that not everybody in California is crazy after all.  On Tuesday, the San Diego County board of supervisors became the latest local government to vote to support the Trump Administration’s lawsuit challenging the Golden State’s sanctuary state law.  The County joins neighboring Orange County and cities like San Juan Capistrano, Los Alamitos, Huntington Beach, Aliso Viejo, Mission Viejo and Escondido in opposing the state’s open borders law.

All of the cities and counties listed above are, of course, at the southern end of the state, and thus bear the brunt of the negative impacts of open borders policies advocated by Governor Jerry Brown and the state’s openly seditious Democrat Party.  Some may characterize these actions as futile gestures, but the intervention into lawsuits like this by impacted parties play a key role in the judicial process.  In this case, they show that there are still people in California who care about the good of the country as a whole, which is a very gratifying thing indeed.

When you appoint a true strict constructionist justice, you get strict constructionist decisions. – Many observers were surprised on Tuesday when the Supreme Court issued an immigration-related decision in which Trump appointee Neil Gorsuch sided with the four liberals on the court to deal the administration a setback.  The case revolved around how U.S. deportation law defines a violent crime for the purpose of deporting illegal immigrants to their home country.  Gorsuch joined the court’s liberal minority in ruling that the definition was overly vague and thus unenforceable under the Constitution.

Anyone who is surprised by his ruling should make themselves aware that, in 2015, the man Gorsuch replaced on the court, the late Antonin Scalia, ruled that similar language in a law imposing longer prison sentences on repeat offenders was also unconstitutional for the same reason.  Thus, while this decision by Gorsuch is inconvenient for the Trump administration, the fact that he ruled as he did should actually be encouraging to anyone who calls themselves a conservative.

Liberals opposed Gorsuch because they believed he would be a down-the-line strict constructionist, like Justice Scalia.  Turns out, they were right for once.

“In today’s news, North and South Korean end war, now back to rolling video of a porn star.” – Lost in all the fake news media frenzy over porn stars and Sean Hannity lawyers yesterday was the amazingly consequential announcement by South Korea leaders that they are meeting with the leaders of North Korea this week to change the 65 year-old armistice agreement between the two countries into the formal ending to the state of war between them.  After pretty much burying the story yesterday, the fake news media and Democrat paid liars will no doubt spend today trying to tell us all how Barack Obama somehow deserves credit for this amazing turn of events.

The truth, of course, is that everything Obama did related to the situation on the Korean peninsula during his 8 disastrous years in office simply made the situation worse, and this current easing of tensions there is purely President Trump’s doing.  Later in the day, the President also announced to the slack-jawed White House press corps of fake journalists that the administration was already engaged with North Korean emissaries in negotiations “at very high levels.”  Early this morning, the President tweeted that Secretary of State nominee Mike Pompeo had actually met with North Korea’s Crazy Little Fat Guy late last week, characterizing the meeting as having gone “very smoothly.”:

Obviously, we are still a long way from real denuclearization of the Korean peninsula, but there is real progress taking place in that direction, a progress that our three prior administrations spent a quarter of a century failing to advance.  There is no magic to any of this – what Trump has been doing with the Crazy Little Fat Guy is promoting the Reagan Doctrine of “Peace through strength.”  24 years of appeasement policies only emboldened and enabled the succession of three different Kim dictators to pursue their nuclear ambitions, pretty much with impunity.

Now that a leader of the United States has demonstrated clearly that this country is willing to confront not only North Korea, but also its benefactors in China on the matter, we see this sudden desire to engage in real negotiations.  Amazing how that works.  Well, amazing to liberals and fake journalists, anyway.

Just another day in appeasement never works America.

That is all.

Another Sunday, Another Trump Tweetstorm

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this Winning yet?  – Hey, Californians, you’re in luck!  The feds are going to audit Governor Jerry “Moonbeam” Brown’s high speed rail project, and, if the audit is conducted honestly, will likely conclude that it is time to cut off funding for the single biggest boondoggle in American history.

Yes, dear readers, it isn’t bad enough that California’s utterly corrupt Democrat political class has already wasted billions of Californians’ dollars on this high-speed rail pipe dream, they’ve also already wasted $3.5 billion federal dollars, and are planning on wasting tens of billions more before the atrocity is completed, if indeed it ever is.  Thus far, not an inch of rail has been laid, despite the fact that the “project” has already been technically in progress for a decade, and the only segment for which there is even a firm plan is a 119-mile piece of line that would connect Fresno with Bakersfield.

So, they’ve got a plan to span the Central Valley, which covers a whopping 4.7% of the state’s population, but as of today, there is not even an existing plan to connect either end of that segment to Los Angeles or San Francisco, which is the ultimate outcome of the Moonbeam PipeDream.  Had the Pantsuit Princess won the 2016 election, nobody in Washington would have given a tinker’s damn about any of this, but Donald Trump won that election, and his administration wants to identify the sinkhole into which that $3.5 billion of federal dollars disappeared before the national government agrees to waste any more money on this idiotic endeavor.

So the Transportation Department’s Inspector General’s office announced on Thursday that it plans to try to figure it all out, and hold some people accountable for the first time in the Moonbeam PipeDream’s 10-year history.  If Californian’s are lucky, the IG will uncover good reasons to shut the thing down, and save them from having to fork over any more of their tax dollars for this bit of nitwittery, the estimated completion cost of which has risen from $33 billion to $77 billion in just the last several years.

“Mission Accomplished”, President Trump! – As I write this piece on Sunday morning, President Trump just issued the following hilarious tweet:

He is, of course, correct on every count where the fake news media is concerned.  And if you doubt he used that term intentionally, knowing it would create the exact media action it created, then you just haven’t been paying attention.

Never stop tweeting, Mr. President.  Please, never, never, never, ever stop.

A bit earlier on Sunday morning, Mr. Trump tossed these two tweets into the mix:

These are actually really good questions, and they are questions that an honest news media establishment would be demanding that Attorney General Jeff Sessions and everyone else at the Justice Department answer.  But, of course, we have a fake news media, one that has been more than happy to allow these questions to linger unasked for over a year and a half now.

The one new revelation mentioned by the President this morning is the allegation in Comey’s book that he felt the need to assume full control of the ultimate disposition of his sham “investigation” into the Pantsuit Princess’s illegal emailing actions due to some “revelation” about then- Attorney General Loretta Lynch about which the American public still has no knowledge.

What, Lynch’s meeting with the suspect’s husband, Bill Clinton, on the tarmac at the Phoenix airport less than a week before the Coughing Crook was to be fake-interviewed by the FBI wasn’t bad enough?  Her insistence that Comey refer to the fake investigation as a “matter” and downplay it all to the fake media wasn’t the extent of her malfeasance?  There’s even more?

Now, Comey could just be lying about all of this – he’s done so much lying in the public domain already that literally nothing he says can be taken at face value by any sentient being at this point.  And if there is something there, it all would be within the scope of the investigation by IG Michael Horowitz into the DOJ/FBI corruption during the 2016 elections, so it is possible we will find out what Comey is talking about when that report is finally, at long last, issued in May.

There is far, far too much relevant information about all of this that is still being withheld from the American public, and that is a direct result of the reality that our country no longer possesses a real, independent media establishment.  What Edmund Burke and other founders liked to refer to as the Fourth Estate is dead, so utterly corrupt and agenda-driven that it is completely useless to the public as a source of information and a check on real government abuse.

This reality, far more than any other single factor, is a pressing and direct threat to our nation’s ultimate survival as a free country.  Somehow, we must find a means of correcting it.

Just another day in the fake news media actively facilitating corruption America.

That is all.

Here’s Why Trump is Suddenly Tweeting About Mueller by Name

The Evening Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

So, the fake news media spent most of the past two days focusing on the fact that President Donald Trump, for the first time, issued a series of tweets criticizing Special Counsel Robert Mueller by name over the weekend.  The fake media’s take on this is that the President is nuts, that he just gets upset and for no reason at all blurts stuff like this out on his Twitter feed while drinking Diet Cokes and eating Big Mac’s at 2:00 in the morning.

To understand why that assessment – the conventional wisdom in Washington, DC – is completely, totally, 100% wrong, let’s go back to February 28, and the piece I posted that day explaining why the President had called out both Attorney General Jeff Sessions and DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz in a tweet earlier that same day.

In that piece, I discussed the fact that Mr. Trump really doesn’t just toss inflammatory stuff out onto Twitter for no reason, that there is a long history of there being a method to the seeming (in the media’s eyes) madness.  And I pointed out the likelihood that that particular seeming attack on Sessions and Horowitz’s integrity was in fact designed to elicit the exact response that he ended up getting from the fake news media, which was day after day of defense of both men’s integrity.

Why?  My assumption was that it was because Trump was expecting something big from both men in the coming days.  Specifically, I posited that we were probably going to see the issuance of the IG’s report from his 14 month-long investigation of wrongdoing within the FBI and DOJ during the first week or two of March.  That obviously didn’t happen, but think about what has happened since February 28:

  • First, the Attorney General went to the outlaw state of California and announced that his Justice Department would be withholding funds from and filing suit against the state challenging its clearly unconstitutional “sanctuary state” law;
  • Next, the DOJ Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) sends Sessions a report recommending the termination of former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe, a recommendation based on – guess what? – a finding from IG Michael Horowitz;
  • Finally, Sessions makes the decision to fire McCabe, as he should have done.

The media’s instinctive reaction was to go on full attack against Sessions, but then, at some point on Sunday, reality began to set in that they  were going after the same guy they were all defending just two weeks ago, and the feeding frenzy began to fall away.

Now, the President goes after Mueller on Saturday, and all the Democrats with press passes leap to defend the Special Counsel in glowing terms normally reserved for anyone with the last name of Obama.  And by the way, that all takes place right after they also all leapt to the defense of McCabe as being the second coming of Mother Teresa, which will come back to haunt them should McCabe keep his word and start tossing other media favorites – like James Comey – under the bus.

So what do you all think is probably about to happen next?

Well, what is NOT going to happen is Trump firing Mueller.  All the fake reporters would love that, but that has never been in the President’s plans.

What IS likely going to happen is some move by Mueller that is broadly positive for the President.  No idea what that might be, but here are some possibilities:

  • Announcement of indictments of Tony Podesta and others involved in his now-defunct lobbying firm;
  • Announcement of the vacation of the guilty plea by General Mike Flynn;
  • Announcement that the “setting aside” of Mueller’s investigation into potential obstruction of justice made public a few days ago is actually a permanent dropping of that line of inquiry;
  • Announcement that Mueller no longer feels the need to conduct an interview with the President.

Could be one of those things, could be something entirely different.  In any event, this feels like President Trump preparing the playing field for some significant event involving Mueller.  And when it feels that way, that’s what generally happens.

Buckle up.

That is all.

Don’t Expect the Democrat Party’s Farrakhan Chickens to Come Home to Roost in November

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Democrats in Action, Part I – A Democrat who sits on the city council in Washington, DC, took to his Facebook account on Sunday to blame a sudden snowstorm on…wait for it…no, really, you have got to wait for this one…the JEWS!  I swear I don’t make this stuff up.

“It’s climate manipulation and D.C. keep talking about ‘we are a resilient city’ and that’s a model based off the Rothschilds controlling the climate to create natural disasters they can pay for to own the cities, man. Be careful,” said council member Trayon White, Sr., who is an actual elected official in our nation’s capital.  The Rothschilds, of course, are a very wealthy European Jewish family.  Mr. White is no doubt a follower of the execrable Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, which means he’s just your basic mainstream Democrat these days.

White later apologized, sort of, saying that “I did not intend to be Anti-Semitic [sic], and I see I should not have said that after learning from my colleagues,” White said. He added that he was working to “understand the history of comment [sic] made against Jews.”

So, he had to be educated by his “colleagues”, i.e., other nitwit Democrats, that it’s ok to hate the Jews in private, but you probably don’t want to go talking about it on your Facebook account.  Gotcha.

Democrats in Action, Part II – Speaking of the execrable Louis Farrakhan, The Soros-funded organization behind The Women’s March is losing top staffers and members due to its recently-revealed ties to the racist hate-monger.  Note that none of these deranged Democrats had any problem at all with the group’s ongoing association with the equally execrable radical Islamist Linda Sarsour.  If I were an African American Democrat voter, I might be wondering why that is the case?

The sad irony here is that, despite the Democrat Party’s open association with Mr. Farrakhan – the DNC’s deputy chairman, Keith Ellison, is a known associate, after all – when Jewish voters go to the polls this coming November, most of them will vote for Democrats, just as most Catholic Americans keep voting for Democrats despite that Party’s open hostility to their religion of choice.  It is truly a mind-boggling facet of American society.

Democrats in Action, Part III – Maine Democrat legislator Michelle Dubois has demanded that state officials change the name of one of the entrances to the state’s capital building because, she says, it is an affront to “women’s dignity.”  The entrance is called the “General Hooker Entrance,” and Ms. Dubois finds that, like, totally offensive.  Of course – and you Republicans know what’s coming here without me having to say it – the entrance is named for famed Civil War General John J. Hooker, who was a native of Maine.  I swear, I swear, I swear I do not make this stuff up.  Who could?

He fixes elections much more efficiently than the DNC and Hillary Clinton. – To no one’s surprise, Vladimir Putin was re-“elected” to yet another term as dictator of Russia, “winning” a whopping 73.9% of the vote.  Somewhere, the Pantsuit Princes is berating Debbie Wasserman Schultz for her under-performance in fixing the Democrat nominating process in 2016.  Fake journalists at CNN were busy constructing a narrative that proves Putin’s victory was the direct result of collusion with Donald Trump.

*Sigh*  No, it didn’t. – Some guy named Ryan Goodman, writing for some fake news site called “JustSecurity”, claims that Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ firing of Andrew McCabe, which was based on McCabe’s lying to the DOJ Inspector General about media leaks related to the Clinton email scandal, somehow violates Sessions’ “recusal” from the Russia Collusion investigation.  This is possibly the dumbest thing you’ll read all week.  I say “possibly” only because Juan Williams still works for Fox, and Chris Cuomo remains on the air at CNN.

All evidence to the contrary aside, there are still sane people living in California. – City Council members in the Calfornia town of Los Alamitos will vote this week approve an ordinance declaring the city to be exempt from the state’s patently unconstitutional “sanctuary state” law.  The ordinance correctly notes that the state law “may be in direct conflict with federal laws and the Constitution,” and that the council “finds that it is impossible to honor our oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States.”  So next time a friend remarks that all the sane people have fled California and moved to Colorado or Austin, you can respond with “Nope, there is still at least one little enclave of clear thinking in Los Alamitos.”

Just another day in Jews controlling the weather America.

That is all.

The Sessions v. California Lawsuit is a Good Start. Perp Walks of CA Officials Would be Even Better

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this Winning yet? – The Trump economy just continues to add jobs at a phenomenal pace.  The ADP/Moody’s Analytics report for February indicates the economy created 235,000 new non-government jobs, well above expectations of 195,000.   The same report raised the initially-reported January number from 234,000 to 244,000.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced on Wednesday that the Justice Department is filing a lawsuit against California, challenging the state’s “sanctuary state” laws that have its officials openly violating national immigration laws.  The challenge is filed under the “Supremacy Clause” of the U.S. Constitution, which holds that, when state laws are in direct conflict with federal laws, the federal law prevails.  This would seem like a pretty open and shut case, but we can assume that the outlaw 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, through which this case would have to go prior to moving to the Supreme Court, will find some absurd means of ruling in the Golden State’s favor.  Because being overturned by the Supreme Court is the 9th Circuit’s favorite pastime.

California Governor Jerry Brown, who has spent the last 7 years turning his state into a third world country modeled on Venezuela, denounced Sessions’ move, in the process revealing his state’s strategy in fighting the case.  Brown stated at one point that the case would “last longer than the Trump Administration,” which, if his lawyers engage in delaying tactics, could certainly be the case should Trump not win re-election in 2020.  In the meantime, absent further enforcement actions by the federal government, California just gets to keep engaging in its sedition actions on behalf of the MS-13 gang and other illegal immigrant criminals.

One possible further enforcement action for Sessions to take would be to start charging California officials, like Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf, with criminal violations.  Ms. Schaaf, who called Sessions a “racist” after he had announced his lawsuit, was directly responsible for the escape of hundreds of known criminals last week during an ICE roundup of criminal aliens in her area, when she tweeted out a warning about the operation 24 hours in advance.  This is clearly obstruction of justice, and if Sessions really wants to change behavior by California’s outlaw office holders, conducting a few televised perp walks of people like Ms. Schaaf being hauled off to jail in handcuffs would be a great way to start.

Narrative failed?  Double down on the narrative. – In the wake of their narrative of a Texas “blue wave” having failed miserably in Tuesday’s Texas primary elections, the fake news media and Democrat-leaning elections analysts like Charlie Cook did what Democrats do:  they doubled down on the narrative.

Cook, who cited “a lot of evidence” that a blue Texas wave was forming, despite the fact that GOP turnout for the primaries was 50% higher than the Democrat turnout, said  “It’s the Democratic tidal wave versus the Republican seawall.  At this point, my bet is that in House, the wave is bigger and stronger than the wall, but in the Senate, my money is on the wall not the wave.”  Yeah, ok.  Cook also predicted that Hillary Clinton was going to easily be elected to the presidency in 2016, so there’s that.

The Democrats, meanwhile, continued to cling to their hopes of a blue wave by repeatedly pointing out that their total turnout was just over 1,000,000, the first time that had happened since the 2002 primaries.  None of them went onto mention the inconvenient fact that, in the 2002 general elections, their party lost every statewide election in Texas, with Republican Rick Perry prevailing over his extremely well-funded opponent, Tony Sanchez, by a 58-40 margin.

As for Cook’s claim that the Democrat “could” hope to move three of the state’s 36 congressional seats from Republican to Democrat, even that is highly suspect.  Of the three vulnerable Republicans Cook cites – John Culberson, Pete Sessions and Will Hurd – only Hurd would seem to be in real jeopardy.  That is not at all surprising, given that Hurd represents a district that runs from San Antonio all the way to El Paso, one which most observers think is a slightly Democrat-majority district.

Hurd in fact defeated a Democrat incumbent to win the seat in 2014, and barely defeated that same Democrat to win re-election in 2016.  Were that district to flip back to the Democrats in this election, that would not be a “blue wave”, that would simply be the normal course of business.

But hey, stories discussing the normal course of business don’t generate Internet clicks or TV audiences or newspaper sales the way a narrative about a “blue wave” coming to Texas does.  Right?  Right.

Just another day in the Texas Blue Wave is clickbait America.

That is all.

America’s Progressive Sub-Cultures – Festering Cesspits of Anti-Woman Depravity

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

  • Why are all Progressive Democrat-dominated institutions such festering cesspits of anti-woman depravity? – The LA Times has a big expose’ this morning that chronicles complaints by dozens of women about the culture of sexual harassment that exists in California’s state capital building.  California government, of course, is dominated by the Democrat Party, which holds super-majority status in both houses of the legislature, the governor’s office, and thus the vast majority of jobs in the state’s myriad government agencies.  Wait, aren’t the Democrats supposed to be the protectors of women’s rights?  Don’t most liberals and progressives and communists who infest the Democrat Party claim to be feminists?  Well, if you believe those things about Democrats, you haven’t been paying close attention lately.
  • Then there’s ABC, a completely leftwing-dominated fake news organization which apparently saw fit to employ a serial sexual harassment specialist – current very liberal NBC political analyst Mark Halperin – for the better part of a decade without ever doing anything to stop his activities.  Like the good Clinton disciples they all are, ABC’s executives will all no doubt claim they had no idea Halperin was preying on young women in their offices, but trust me, I spent 38 years in corporate workplaces, and whenever there is a pathological sexual harasser active in the workplace, most everyone knows.  Anyone who worked closely with Halperin in ABC’s offices during that time and claims to have had no idea what he was up to is almost certainly lying.
  • And it’s not just ABC where Halperin is concerned.  While HBO has cut ties with Halperin, uniformly liberal NBC continues to employ the creep.  No doubt, we will soon see him resume his regular gig with all his leftwing pals on “Morning Joe”.  Of course, Joe, Mika and all the other liberal regulars on that show claim to have had no idea that their morning coffee buddy was a serial woman abuser.  Those Clintonian talking points sure do get around.
  • And speaking of lying about not knowing, next we have all the Democrat politicians and leftwing actors who are today claiming they had no idea what Harvey Weinstein was up to during his 30-year reign of terror over seemingly every aspiring actress in Hollywood.  Weinstein, who over the years gave and raised millions of dollars for Democrat politicians, is just the tip of the vast iceberg of the rampant anti-woman culture that has dominated the almost uniformly leftwing Hollywood community pretty much since its inception a century ago.  Even the leftwing women – like Meryl Streep, who once called Weinstein “my God” on national television – who claim to be friends of the hundreds of women who were abused by Weinstein and other men who have been exposed thus far, tell us they just had no idea that all this was going on.
  • Think of that:  A century of a culture in which men rampantly and ubiquitously abuse women, and apparently no one noticed until the NYTimes outed the ogre Weinstein on its front page.  Is that really possible?  No, of course it isn’t possible.
  • In all of these cases, in all of these various Democrat-dominated sub-cultures of our society, what is the common denominator (other than that the players are almost all leftwing Democrats)?  The common thread in all of them is that everyone in these Democrat-dominated sub-cultures is happy as a clam to remain quiet while women are serially abused, because they think they stand to benefit from the abusers.
  • The Weinstein example is obvious.  Weinstein wielded enormous influence and power, and produced high profile films in which most everyone in Hollywood wanted to eventually be involved.  No one wanted to cross the Ogre because they knew doing so would inevitably harm their career.  So they remained silent and pretended not to know.
  • With Halperin, ABC had a rising star in the realm of political news.  His presence as the network’s director of political news lent credibility to the operation that it obviously did not deserve.  Plus, doing anything to stop Halperin probably meant litigation and public scandal, and no corporation wants to deal with that.  So ABC execs did nothing and waited for their problem to go away, which he eventually did.
  • In the California legislature, well, everything there is all about power and influence, i.e., just like Harvey Weinstein in Hollywood.  There’s no mystery here.
  • I could go into many other examples, such as the reality that the entire Democrat Party has become active supporters of the implementation of Sharia law in various Muslim communities around the country, and will remain so as long as it can rely on most U.S. Muslims to reliably vote for Democrats.  Nothing says anti-women’s rights like the implementation of Sharia law.
  • But this is today’s Democrat Party, and today’s liberal cultures in America.  Women who continue to support it do so at their own peril.

Just another day in anti-woman Democrats America.

That is all.

Nancy Pelosi: Leadership Through XX Chromosomes

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

  • Presumably, they picked Mugabe because Idi Amin is dead. – If you wonder why supporters of President Donald Trump (I never get tired of typing that) have no regard at all for international multi-lateral organizations, look no further than the decision by the sleazebags who run the World Health Organization (WHO) to name Zimbabwe thug Robert Mugabe as its newest “World Health Ambassador.”  Yes, Robert Mugabe – I swear I don’t make this stuff up.  For those out of this particular loop, Mugabe has brutalized the Zimbabwean population for decades now, murdering and maiming its citizens on a scale comparable to Fidel Castro.  During his reign of terror, Mugabe has utterly destroyed the nation’s healthcare system for the vast majority of the population there, a system that was once the envy of Africa.  The situation with healthcare in Zimbabwe is so awful, in fact, that Mugabe himself goes to other countries for his own treatments.
  • So naturally, this is the guy who the utterly corrupt people in charge at the WHO, a UN-affiliated organization, choose to honor.  It shouldn’t even need saying at this point, but stuff like this is why Donald Trump is President today.
  • Hey, why not deed that spot to Rep. Clowny McPartyBarn of Florida?  Xe’d be great, and we’re pretty sure xe’s a woman. – Nancy Pelosi appeared with the four screechers on “The View” Friday, and told them that the reason why she needs to remain the head of the Democrat minority in the U.S. House of Representatives is based entirely on her gender.  Not kidding:  “I was ready to go if Hillary won, have a woman at the top of the table, protecting the Affordable Care Act, which is to me similar to Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid,” she told the assembled hosts, but she said that she was the only woman at her table at a White House dinner a month ago, so  “that’s why I have to stay there, to be one of the top women, top people at the table.”
  • Well, darn, if the only qualification to be House Minority Leader these days is being a woman, there are plenty of other Democrat women in the House.  Why not give the spot to Maxine Waters?  Doesn’t she count?  How about Debbie Wasserman-Schulz?  She as corrupt as the people at the WHO, and even ran the whole Democrat Party into the ground while Obama was President – why not her?  Or how about Linda Sanchez?  She’s a woman, she’s Hispanic, AND she’s from California, too.  She can sit at a table as well as any other woman, right?  Or how about Clowny McPartyBarn?  She’s a woman, plus she’d be the first rodeo clown to ever become minority leader.  Why not her?
  • Altogether, there are currently 62 Democrat women serving in the House of Representatives today.  If the only qualification to be the Democrats’ minority leader is the possession of two X chromosomes, then why should the Party allow itself to continue to be saddled with SanFranNan’s X chromosomes as its public face?
  • Of course, the truth here is that conservatives everywhere are thrilled to death that Nancy Pelosi remains the face of the Democrat Party, and are hoping and praying she will remain its face through at least the 2018 mid-term elections, and longer.  Her ongoing presence as the dominant Democrat on the national stage virtually ensures that the GOP will increase its Senate majority next year and hold onto its majority in the House.  Republicans love, love, love having SanFranNan to campaign against, and will do anything they can to ensure she continues to cling to power.
  • Speaking of corrupt women who just won’t go away, Hillary Clinton, still shamelessly hawking her terrible book in Britain, told an interviewer on Saturday that she and hubby Bill seriously considered not attending the Trump inauguration, but were convinced otherwise only when they learned the Bushes and Carters would be in attendance.  That claim came just two days after she told another interviewer that she and Bill never even thought about not going, because attending was their duty.  The woman would rather lie than tell the truth, even when it does her no good.  She will never change.

Just another day SanFranNan’s America.

That is all.

The Best Solution To The Weinstein Problem? CalExit!

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

  • Democrats everywhere gave her an “A” for effort. – After President Trump issued an executive order that would enable small businesses and individuals to form health insurance associations across state lines and thus demand lower premiums for insurance policies, San Fran Nan Pelosi told reporters that “I don’t know what he’s putting out today, but I do know it’s a sabotage” of Obamacare.  Hey, give her a break:  She didn’t know what was in Obamacare, either, and still doesn’t.  At least Pelosi was able to remember and recite the day’s Democrat/fake media code word – which every Democrat and fake reporters used all day long – related to the President’s executive order, which of course was “sabotage.”  She had no idea why she was using it, but at least she managed to use it.
  • How about “Hobgoblin”?  No?  Ok, what about “Rotten tomato”?  Wait, that’s two words… – Today, the President will very likely terminate U.S. sponsorship of the Obama/Kerry idiotic deal with Iran, and we can only speculate on what the Democrat/media code word will be related to this action.  “Reckless”, perhaps?  “Irresponsible”?  No, that’s too many syllables, Pelosi could never remember it.  “Dark”?  No, they only use that when he’s talking about putting America first.  Hmmmmmm…I’m going with “reckless.”  Let’s sit back and see what happens.
  • Meanwhile, in Harvey Weinstein world… – Stuff got real for Amazon grand poobah Jeff Bezos yesterday afternoon, as director/actor/producer Rose McGowan turned her one-woman war on Hollywood in an unexpected direction.  While she didn’t accuse Bezos himself of any bad sexual behavior, she went off on the head of Amazon’s movie studio with a vengeance, accusing him of covering for Weinstein after she had informed him that Weinstein had raped her.  She ended her tweetstorm by imploring Bezos to “Be the change you want to see in the world.  Stand with the truth.”
  • Interestingly, while every other major media outlet on the face of the earth seems to have run a story on the McGowan/Bezos dustup, the Washington Post, which Bezos owns, apparently did not find this story newsworthy.  Go figure.
  • In response not to McGowan’s accusations, but to a separate accusation made by producer Isa Hackett Dick, Amazon did see fit to suspend the studio chief in question, some guy named Roy Price.  My goodness, what a cesspit of depravity Hollywood is turning out to be, and we haven’t even gotten to the pedophiles.  Yet.
  • CalExit is the solution! – This whole Weinstein deal ought to remind every thinking American out in the 98% of the country that lies outside of the major media centers that there is an organized, dedicated effort to have California secede from the United States, most commonly referred to as “CalExit”.  And lo and behold, the Sacramento Bee carried a story about this effort yesterday, in which backers of this secession effort say they believe they have an easier path to taking their state out of the union than the Catalonians have to separate their region from Spain.
  • While that’s not exactly a low bar, it gives the organizers hope:  “There are definitely similarities in the fiscal situation – we both give more than we get back,” said Dave Marin, director of research and policy for the California Freedom Coalition. “But there’s more flexibility in the U.S. Constitution for secession than there is in the Spanish one. California has more tools available to it.”  Honestly, it should give the rest of us a little hope as well that maybe, sometime in the near future, the cesspit of depravity that is Harvey Weinstein World will reside in a whole separate country.  Seems like a very reasonable solution, doesn’t it?
  • Incidentally, about that whole “we both give more than we get back” line of BS spouted by Mr. Marin:  I’m thinking this guy hasn’t considered what his state’s life would be like without all that water coming into LA from the Colorado River Basin.  And I’m thinking he hasn’t given a lot of thought to what it might cost his new country to recruit and maintain its own military forces, because if you think us “Normals” out here in flyover country are just going to smile and say “great!” when Californians come begging for water and our armed forces to protect them when things get real, you don’t really know us Normals, and you really don’t want to find out the answer to those questions the hard way.
  • But hey, go for it, Mr. Marin.  All I want to know about your effort really and truly is, how can I help make it happen?

Just another day in I have found the solution to the whole Weinstein problem America.

That is all.

  • If we didn’t have Democrats, we’d have to make them up.Ok, I swear I didn’t make this up.  It’s a real story.  The far, far, far, far left wing of the far, far leftwing California Democratic Party is mounting a recall effort on their own Assembly Speaker because…wait for it…he isn’t far, far, far, far leftwing enough for them.  Wait, you say, Speaker Anthony Rendon is as far, far, far leftwing as it gets, right?  Well, no.  See, he needed to add one more “far” to that total of “fars”, and ram through a completely unworkable proposal to implement single-payer healthcare in the Golden State, a bill that would have utterly bankrupted the state’s treasury within a few years.  Of course, the leftist nitwits who pushed this bill and are now taking out their frustrations on the Speaker figure that when the money runs out in their own state, they’ll just petition the federal government to force taxpayers from the 49 other states to pay for their ruinous policies.  It’s the California way, after all.
  • Hey, can we get that whole CalExit deal moving along a little faster? – Speaking of the insanity that is California, CA Congressman Lou Correa is so unhinged that he now displays a painting of the Statue of Liberty wearing Muslim garb in his congressional office.  This isn’t political thought, this is mental illness.  But then, California is the state that gives us Nancy Pelosi and Maxine Waters, so, just par for the course, really.
  • At long last, this is what you’re sorry for having done?Caitlyn Jenner apologized to her dozens of fans for having been photographed wearing a “Make America Great Again” cap.  Of all the millions of things Caitlyn Jenner owes an apology for, wearing a cap of any kind is not among them.
  • Well, that’s a damn shame.Reuters reports that the Justice Department is not looking to charge journalists for knowingly releasing leaked classified information to the public.  Because no Republican can be counted on to do the right thing anymore.  Sad!
  • I am shocked, shocked to see temperatures falling in Australia! – I reported a couple of weeks ago about the scandal in Australia over the Bureau of Meteorology’s (BOM) effort to “revise” the national temperature data there to invent “global warming” where none is occurring.  Graham Lloyd at The Australian is now reporting that, now that BOM has been caught and forced to properly record actual temperature data rather than make it all up, temperatures Down Under are suddenly plummeting.  Go figure.  No one could have seen that coming!
  • Let the good times roll…or float… – Big news yesterday in New Orleans as heavy rains there overwhelmed the city’s utterly inadequate pumping system that is supposed to drain rain water off of city streets.  While the Times Picayune reported this as if it were some rare occurrence, I have personally been in New Orleans three times in the last 20 years in which the same thing happened.  And no, there weren’t any hurricanes coming through at those times.  The simple fact of the matter is that New Orleans – which I love – is 11 feet below sea level on average, and when it rains heavily, the streets are gonna flood.  This is not news, this is an inevitability.
  • Wait.  Is this question serious? Really??? – The mental midgets at Newsweek ran a piece with the following breathless headline:  “WHY ARE MOST POLITICIANS WHITE 52 YEARS AFTER THE VOTING RIGHTS ACT WAS SIGNED INTO LAW?”  Ummmmm…lessee here….hey, could it be because most people in America are white, even 52 years later?  Now we know why Newsweek exists only in bandwidth.  My goodness.

Just another day in praying for CalExit America.

That is all.

What A Difference A Presidential Tweetstorm Makes

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

  • Boy, what a difference a few tweets makes, huh?  After President Trump had gone after his thus far lackluster performance in office, Attorney General Jeff Sessions suddenly woke up, displaying a sudden new focus on things that actually matter.  Just a few hours after the President’s latest tweet storm, federal agents arrested the chief IT specialist for ex-DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schulz, Imran Awan, as he was attempting to flee the country through Dulles International Airport.  The FBI also announced it has seized a set of “smashed hard drives” that Awan had left behind at his home.  Mr. Anwan had also worked for several other Democrat congressional members in addition to Rep. Schulz.  Nice to see the Justice Department focusing on bringing really bad people to justice rather than ensuring that rural sheriffs get to keep and drive the Maserati’s and speedboats they confiscate from arrested drug dealers.
  • Later in the day, a “source” at the Justice Department told The Washington Post that the Attorney General plans to make a public progress report in the next few days about several ongoing investigations into criminal leaks containing classified information that have been regularly emanating from various government intelligence agencies since President Trump assumed office.  If you think this “source” didn’t give that information to the Post at the request of the AG, you might be naive.
  • And finally, late in the afternoon, the AG announced a tough new policy that would deny Justice Department grant funds to cities that refuse to cooperate with immigration officials tasked with enforcing the country’s immigration laws.  Such grants would now only go “to cities and states that comply with federal law, allow federal immigration access to detention facilities, and provide 48 hours notice before they release an illegal alien wanted by federal authorities.”
  • Who knows?  Maybe the AG’s sudden new focus on stuff that actually matters instead of who might be smoking pot in downtown Denver will actually save his job.  It’s a damn shame it took a public berating from the POTUS to refocus his attention.
  • So you’re sayin’ there’s still a chance! – Great news, everybody!  The so-called “Cal-Exit” movement that hopes to take California out of the USA is still alive!  The Sacramento Bee reports that the California secession movement was given the go-ahead by the state’s Attorney General to begin collecting the required 585,000 signatures to get the initiative placed on the 2018 ballot.  Sadly, the signatures must come from residents of California;  otherwise, I would already be on a plane out to the Golden State to add my name to the list.  But I and millions of other non-Californians will always be behind this noble effort in spirit.
  • After Vice President Pence had cast the deciding vote allowing the debate to begin on the Obamacare Repeal and Replace effort in the U.S. Senate, Senate Republicans who had been promising to repeal Obamacare for seven long years had the chance later in the evening to vote in favor of an amendment that would do exactly that.  Nine Republicans, including eight who had voted to repeal Obamacare in the past, refused to do so last night, now that they have a president who would actually sign such a bill.   Those eight Republicans are Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Rand Paul of Kentucky, Bob Corker of Tennessee, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Dean Heller of Nevada, Jerry Moran of Kansas, Tom Cotton of Arkansas and Mike Lee of Utah.  Susan Collins also voted against the amendment, but Sen. Collins has always been a reliable Democrat vote on healthcare issues, and never voted to repeal Obamacare while Obama was President.  The other eight have no excuse.
  • Speaking of Senator Collins. her aides need to exercise a little more control over her gabby mouth when she’s on a hot mic.  Yesterday it was revealed in various news reports that she said all sorts of goofy and nasty things while in that situation on Monday, including referring to Texas Congressman Blake Farenthold as being “fat” and “so unattractive it’s unbelievable.”  After her uncharitable remarks about Congressman Farenthold’s appearance were made public, the fake Republican Senator from Maine issued a terse apology.
  • Speaking of fake Republicans, Sen. From The News Media John McCain made his way back onto the Senate floor despite having had surgery for a brain tumor last week.  There he made a rousing speech in which he blamed the lack of progress in the U.S. Senate on…wait for it…wait for it…talk radio.  I swear I don’t make this stuff up.  Who could?

Just another day in fake Republicans are everywhere America.

That is all.
