Tuesday News Roundup: Ronald Reagan’s ‘Fascism in the Name of Liberalism’ has Arrived

CNN just keeps on getting faker and faker. – I kid you not, CNN’s little Humpty Dumpty mascot, Brian Stelter, did an entire 8-minute segment on his Sunday show in which he and his guest bemoaned the lack of shot-getting selfies posted on the web by personalities on Fox News:

Image

You just could never, never, ever make this stuff up, folks. You just can’t.

Twitter just keeps getting Nazi-er and Nazi-er. – Yesterday, I wrote about the real-estate-buying spree by Democrat domestic terror group Black Lives Matter founder Patrisse Khan Cullors. Today, I find myself writing about the fact that the Nazis who police Twitter to eliminate any form of thought that does not comply with the leftist narrative suspended the account of a writer – who happens to be Black – who dared to criticize the self-proclaimed Marxist Ms. Cullors for her lurch into capitalism.

No really. That really happened:

From the story at the DailyMail:

A prominent black sports journalist barred from Twitter for the ‘crime’ of discussing the $1.4 million house bought by a Black Lives Matter co-founder slammed the company for trying to silence legitimate debate.

Jason Whitlock, 53, told DailyMail.com on Monday that Twitter was ‘going too far’ by blocking him from posting to his account, which has nearly 450,000 followers.

The censorship by Twitter comes as social media companies, including Twitter and Facebook, have increasingly ‘de-platformed’ figures who stray too far from opinions they consider acceptable.

‘BLM is one of Big Tech’s sacred cows,’ Whitlock told DailyMail.com ‘I’ve been harping on the fraudulence and the financial grift of BLM for years.’

‘I think Twitter has been looking for an excuse to de-platform me,’ he said.

BLM raised $90 million last year, the AP has reported, but it’s unclear how leaders are paid – if they are paid – because the organization’s finances are opaque, a fact that has sparked criticism, even among local BLM chapters.

Now, Whitlock says, Twitter is trying to silence him for asking questions about BLM’s finances.

He was silenced just as it emerged that BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors, a self-professed ‘trained Marxist’, had purchased the $1.4 million house in LA. The New York Post reported Cullors had also bought two other LA homes in recent years, and paid $415,000 for a 3.2 acre property in Georgia.

When Whitlock tweeted his response to the news of Cullors’s purchase, he included a link to the popular celebrity real estate website The Dirt, which first reported the details of the property.

Cullors, 37, raised eyebrows with her new three bedroom, three bathroom house in Topanga Canyon, Los Angeles – a largely white district.

In her new zip code, 88 per cent of residents are white and 1.8 per cent black, according to the census.

Whitlock explained: ‘Twitter locked my account around 4pm Friday,’ confirming his account was still blocked.

‘They said my account was locked because I revealed personal information about someone.

‘They said I needed to remove the tweet that linked the dirt.com story about Cullors buying a house in Topanga.’

There was no explanation of how linking to the Dirt.com story revealed personal information as neither the story, nor Whitlock’s tweet, listed an address – and the purchase also was discussed widely elsewhere on Twitter and reported throughout the press.

Twitter didn’t respond to DailyMail.com’s request for comment.

[End]

Twitter refuses to respond for the simple fact that its explanation for Whitlock’s suspension – that he somehow revealed personal information about Cullors, something those on the radical left do all the time without penalty on Twitter – is completely false. Whitlock was suspended because someone in Ms. Cullors’ camp complained about him. That’s how things work at Twitter. There are no “rules” being enforced: It’s just a big tattle-tale micro-society in which those who toe the ideological narrative are safe.

And now you all know why I decided to get off of that evil, Nazi-style platform two years ago.

Future GOP presidential nominee Ron DeSantis put it all very well in a speech on Monday, after the Soviet-style news-fakers on CBS aired a second hit piece on their 60 Minutes fake news program:

Transcript:

“…And some of our biggest media conglomerates, who claim to be avatars of the first amendment and free exchange of ideas, they’ve really become cheerleaders for censorship. If something doesn’t fit the overriding narrative, then in their view it’s better that it gets left on the cutting room floor. It’s best that you edit it out of existence rather than tell people the truth. So, I think what we’re really witnessing is Orwellian. It’s a big tech/corporate media collusion, and the end result is that the narrative is always ‘right.’ Well, I don’t think that’s what the American people want, certainly not people here in Florida.”

Yes, that’s exactly what is happening here, and its only two possible ultimate outcomes are 1) we all end up kneeling down to the false gods who control the narrative, or 2) we all end up involved in a second U.S. civil war.

Because the false gods who control the narrative are never going to relent. Their goal is to turn our formerly free nation into just another Venezuela-style socialist/fascist state, with themselves in charge.

All of which just goes to show that the Great Ronald Reagan was right as usual when he said this:

“If fascism ever comes to America, it will come in the name of liberalism.” – Ronald Reagan

In case you hadn’t noticed, it’s here.

That is all.

Today’s Required Reading: Glenn Greenwald Exposes Media Tattletale Brigade

Last week saw tons of absolutely Required Reading assignments being handed out here at DBDailyUpdate, and this week is starting off with a bang, too. Over at Substack.com, Glenn Greenwald – the only remaining liberal voice in American media worth following – has a terrific piece in which he exposes the corrupt news media “tattletale” titans.

From pudgy little Brian Stelter and Oliver Darcy at CNN to NBC’s Ben Collins and the New York Times trio of Mike Isaac, Kevin Roose, and Sheera Frenkel, the media’s brigade of Nazi-style speech cops has gained out-sized influence over the speech-controlling mindset at the Big Tech companies, resulting in essentially a loss of the first amendment right to free speech in what has become the modern version of the public square.

Greenwald’s piece, titled “The Journalistic Tattletale and Censorship Industry Suffers Several Well-Deserved Blows,” goes into great detail about how this corrupt media cottage industry grew in power, and the reputational blows it has suffered in recent weeks.

It’s a great read that will be the best 20 minute investment of time you spend today. If nothing else, read it during the halftime of the Super Bowl game tonight – it will save your senses from being assaulted by whatever musical atrocities the league has lined up to assault your senses.

Here’s an excerpt from Greenwald’s piece to whet your appetite:

I’ve written before about one particularly toxic strain of this authoritarian “reporting.” Teams of journalists at three of the most influential corporate media outlets — CNN’s “media reporters” (Brian Stelter and Oliver Darcy), NBC’s “disinformation space unit” (Ben Collins and Brandy Zadrozny), and the tech reporters of The New York Times (Mike Isaac, Kevin Roose, Sheera Frenkel) — devote the bulk of their “journalism” to searching for online spaces where they believe speech and conduct rules are being violated, flagging them, and then pleading that punitive action be taken (banning, censorship, content regulation, after-school detention). These hall-monitor reporters are a major factor explaining why tech monopolies, which (for reasons of self-interest and ideology) never wanted the responsibility to censor, now do so with abandon and seemingly arbitrary blunt force: they are shamed by the world’s loudest media companies when they do not.

Just as the NSA is obsessed with ensuring there be no place on earth where humans can communicate free of their spying eyes and ears, these journalistic hall monitors cannot abide the idea that there can be any place on the internet where people are free to speak in ways they do not approve. Like some creepy informant for a state security apparatus, they spend their days trolling the depths of chat rooms and 4Chan bulletin boards and sub-Reddit threads and private communications apps to find anyone — influential or obscure — who is saying something they believe should be forbidden, and then use the corporate megaphones they did not build and could not have built but have been handed in order to silence and destroy anyone who dissents from the orthodoxies of their corporate managers or challenges their information hegemony.

Oliver Darcy has built his CNN career by sitting around with Brian Stelter petulantly pointing to people breaking the rules on social media and demanding tech executives make the rule-breakers disappear. The little crew of tattletale millennials assembled by NBC — who refer to their twerpy work with the self-glorifying title of “working in the disinformation space”: as intrepid and hazardous as exposing corruption by repressive regimes or reporting from war zones — spend their dreary days scrolling through 4Chan boards to expose the offensive memes and bad words used by transgressive adolescents; they then pat themselves on the back for confronting dangerous power centers, even when it is nothing more trivial and bullying than doxxing the identities of powerless, obscure citizens.

[End]

Greatness. Just read it – you can thank me later.

That is all.

Monday News Roundup: CHAZ Demands, Stelter Pounded, and Truth From the Least Expected Place

SHOCK: Berkeley professor tells the flat-out truth about George Floyd and the riots. – This was referred to me by a friend on Sunday. It’s something you really don’t expect to see, unvarnished truth coming from a professor on the campus of UC Berkeley in a letter to his colleagues. Here’s a short excerpt from it:

I am one of your colleagues at the University of California, Berkeley. I have met you both personally but do not know you closely, and am contacting you anonymously, with apologies. I am worried that writing this email publicly might lead to me losing my job, and likely all future jobs in my field.

In your recent departmental emails you mentioned our pledge to diversity, but I am increasingly alarmed by the absence of diversity of opinion on the topic of the recent protests and our community response to them. In the extended links and resources you provided, I could not find a single instance of substantial counter-argument or alternative narrative to explain the under-representation of black individuals in academia or their over-representation in the criminal justice system. The explanation provided in your documentation, to the near exclusion of all others, is univariate: the problems of the black community are caused by whites, or, when whites are not physically present, by the infiltration of white supremacy and white systemic racism into American brains, souls, and institutions.

Many cogent objections to this thesis have been raised by sober voices, including from within the black community itself, such as Thomas Sowell and Wilfred Reilly. These people are not racists or ‘Uncle Toms’. They are intelligent scholars who reject a narrative that strips black people of agency and systematically externalizes the problems of the black community onto outsiders. Their view is entirely absent from the departmental and UCB-wide communiques.

The claim that the difficulties that the black community faces are entirely causally explained by exogenous factors in the form of white systemic racism, white supremacy, and other forms of white discrimination remains a problematic hypothesis that should be vigorously challenged by historians. Instead, it is being treated as an axiomatic and actionable truth without serious consideration of its profound flaws, or its worrying implication of total black impotence. This hypothesis is transforming our institution and our culture, without any space for dissent outside of a tightly policed, narrow discourse.

[End]

You can and should go read the rest of it at this link. You’ll be better educated for doing so.

Speaking of George Floyd… – The “peaceful protesters” were back out on the streets of New York City on Sunday.:

With “peaceful protesters” like these, who needs Antifa?

Here is a Trump advisor who needs more airtime. – Watch as Trump Campaign legal advisor Jenna Ellis puts CNN’s resident news-faking eunuch Brian Stelter in his place:

The truth hurts, especially when it occasionally shows up on CNN.

Speaking of news-faking eunuchs… – Fox News’s own resident news-faking eunuch, Chris Wallace, took a moment off from hawking his latest ghost-written book to say this on the same subject:

“You see some reporters now who have become advocates — I see it in the press briefings now. You know, I was pretty tough in the press briefings with Ronald Reagan and his press secretaries in the 80s, but we were basically trying to get information. Some of the press briefings now I see the White House press corps — it’s supposed to be one of the top jobs in journalism — it’s more playing gotcha or more just trying to get in arguments and advance their point of view. That’s not what we’re supposed to be doing.”

“I think too many reporters have fallen into the role of being advocates and, frankly with this president, anti-Trump advocates,” Wallace continued, saying that journalists need to be able to stay “neutral” and “call balls and strikes.”

[End]

Of course, he preceded that by parroting Stelter’s complaint that the President’s “attacks” on corrupt media outlets are somehow “outrageous.” Because, in his heart, Chris Wallace is no different from his muck-raking Marxist daddy.

Well, except for New York City, Minneapolis, Los Angeles, Austin, Chicago and every other Democrat-run city in America. – House majority whip James Clyburn actually said that “nobody is going to defund the police” in an interview over the weekend.

On the very same day, the New York Times ran an op/ed penned by a Democrat activist titled “Yes, We Mean Literally Abolish the Police.” Just so that no one thinks that the headline might not reflect the piece’s content, here are the first three paragraphs:

Congressional Democrats want to make it easier to identify and prosecute police misconduct; Joe Biden wants to give police departments $300 million. But efforts to solve police violence through liberal reforms like these have failed for nearly a century.

Enough. We can’t reform the police. The only way to diminish police violence is to reduce contact between the public and the police.

There is not a single era in United States history in which the police were not a force of violence against black people. Policing in the South emerged from the slave patrols in the 1700 and 1800s that caught and returned runaway slaves. In the North, the first municipal police departments in the mid-1800s helped quash labor strikes and riots against the rich. Everywhere, they have suppressed marginalized populations to protect the status quo.

[End]

D’oh! Somebody forgot to send the DNC talking points memo to the New York Times.

How about we just declare everyone participating in the CHAZ to be an illegal alien and deport them instead? – This is rich: The Antifa morons occupying Seattle’s Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone demanded on Sunday that the U.S. immediately provide amnesty to the 20 million+ illegal aliens currently in the country. As reported by Breitbart:

Officials for CHAZ also said illegal aliens must be called “undocumented” because “no person is illegal.” The demands include:

We demand that the funding previously used for Seattle Police be redirected into:

A) Socialized Health and Medicine for the City of Seattle.

B) Free public housing, because housing is a right, not a privilege.

C) Public education, to decrease the average class size in city schools and increase teacher salary.

D) Naturalization services for immigrants to the United States living here undocumented. (We demand they be called “undocumented” because no person is illegal.)

E) General community development. Parks, etc.

So, here we have a bunch of people who are literally claiming to have invented their own separate and autonomous country by illegally occupying six square blocks in downtown Seattle, sending out a list of demands to the U.S. government. Seems like the proper approach here would be for the federal government to recognize the CHAZites’ separate, non-U.S. citizenship and deport them to someplace like Venezuela where they would feel more at home and no doubt be treated as they deserve to be treated by the authorities there.

You seriously could never make this stuff up.

That is all.

Riots: Democrats/Corrupt News Media Mount Their Most Despicable Hoax Narrative Yet

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Those of you who pay attention no doubt noticed that the narrative being pushed about the national riots shifted early Saturday morning from “these are just peaceful people who need to be heard,” to “all of this violence is being pushed by white nationalists.” Obviously a memo went out from the DNC or Soros headquarters telling every shameless leftist in the country to push this latest hoax.

That despicable, utterly false narrative was pushed all over cable news, including Fox; it was pushed by depraved Democrat members of congress; it was pushed by feckless Minnesota Governor Tim Walz; it was pushed by Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and pretty much every leftist talking head on television. It was pushed despite the lack of a shred of evidence to support it; it was pushed despite the statement by U.S. Attorney General William Barr making it clear that DOJ has intelligence indicating that the riots have been organized by Antifa; and it continued to be pushed well into the night despite a flood of video proof of the involvement of not only Antifa, but Black Lives Matter agitators as well.

It is the most despicable hoax narrative these depraved and despicable people have ever mounted, more despicable even than the Russia hoax and the Impeachment hoax.

You don’t have to believe me about this: All you have to believe is your own lyin’ eyes. Let’s go to the videotape.

See if you can spot the “white supremacists” in this one from Houston:

What about all these “white supremacists” in Nashville?

Don’t see them? Well, see if you can find the “white supremacists” in this cut from Seattle:

Surely they must be there, right? I mean, Maxine Waters and Brian Stelter keep saying they are.

Ok, well, maybe the videos just move too fast for us. See if you can spot the “white supremacists” in this still shot of a gang that nearly beat a Dallas store owner to death on the street overnight:

Can’t see them? Well, here’s a video of the same savage incident. Surely they must be in there somewhere:

Maybe all the “white supremacists” were working in Cleveland. See if you can spot them in this gang that assaulted firemen who were trying to put out fires there:

No? Nothing? Ok, well, maybe all the “white supremacists” decided to go right to the source and attack the White House. Let’s take a look:

Man, these “white supremacists” sure are good at disguising themselves, aren’t they? But you know they’re in there somewhere because Jake Tapper and Rachel Maddow and Donna Brazile surely wouldn’t lie, would they?

Hey, here’s a suspicious looking white guy. But – oops – he’s clearly Antifa:

I could go on and on an on with this because there are literally thousands of clips just like these running all over Twitter and other social media platforms today.

The people pushing this “white supremacist” narrative appear to be actively attempting to stoke a race war in our country for crass, shameful partisan political reasons. It is no accident that every city in which these riots are taking place are run by Democrat political machines. It is no accident that the two groups fomenting these riots – Antifa and BLM – were created by the Democrat Party and funded by Democrat Party affiliate groups and front groups for George Soros.

America’s institutions and freedoms have been under constant assault from the Democrat Party for many decades now, really since that Party was created. Now, the Democrat Party has taken that war against America to the streets of our major cities.

This is unconscionable to civilized human beings. But hey, these are Democrats we’re talking about here. After yesterday, how can you be sure they have a conscience?

Oh, hey: Maybe these are the “white supremacists” we keep hearing about:

That is all.

CNN Plumbs New Depths of Depravity With Weinstein Puff Piece

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Getting tired of all this #WINNING yet? – The Trump economy just will not cooperate with the Democrat/media effort to create a recession out of whole cloth. On Monday, all three major stock indexes – the Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq – finished at all-time record highs.

True to form, CNBC, in its coverage of this happy event for America, noted in a sub-head that this latest major rally has come as a shock to all the experts: “Nearly everyone on Wall Street underestimated the strength of this year’s stock market.”

ummm, if the “experts” are always wrong about everything, shouldn’t we be looking for new people to refer to as “experts?”

Likely conversation at CNN editorial meeting…

CNN editor: Hey, uh, we appear to have gotten all the mileage we can from all these stories canonizing this Al-Baghdadi guy. Anybody have any thoughts on which human pond slug we glorify next?

CNN fake reporter #1: How about we do another 5,000 word piece on Beto and what he plans to do with the remainder of his sainted life? He’s so cute, and we could use the word “dusty” and compare him to a Kennedy…

CNN editor: Normally I’d jump all over that one, but we’ve done it 3-4 times before…

CNN fake reporter #2: What about Al Franken? He’s making a big comeback you know, or trying to.

CNN editor: uh, we need to tread lightly on the whole Franken thing. I mean, who among us hasn’t sexually assaulted a sleeping actress, or at least wanted to, right?

[Nodding heads all around the table. Brian Stelter mainlines a powdered sugar donut. Jake Tapper combs his hair. Chris Cuomo sits in a corner staring at the wall.]

CNN fake reporter #3: I know! Let’s do a glowing day-in-the-life profile of Ed Buck! He’s being treated so terribly out there in California – you know, he probably only killed two or three male prostitutes.

CNN editor: Good thoughts there, but it would’ve been better to do that before he got arrested – we might have bailed him out of all of that, and he could still be funding Democrat politicians. I mean, what’s a day in his life like now that he’s being held at the county jail? It’s hard to get 3,000 words out of his one daily phone call.

CNN fake reporter #4: ummmm…is Pol Pot still alive?

CNN editor: Pretty sure he’s dead.

CNN fake reporter #4: Idi Amin?

CNN editor: Dead, too.

CNN fake reporter #4: What about Generalissimo Francisco Franco?

CNN edtor: Still dead.

CNN fake reporter #4: How about Joseph Goebbels? I mean, I know he’s dead, too, but he is Zucker’s role model after all…might score some points with the boss!

CNN editor: It’s a valid thought, but our Democrat masters might not appreciate us being so up front on that one. We’re supposed to maintain this facade, you know, or at least try to.

[More nodding heads around the table. Alisyn Camerota daydreams about graduating 6th grade on her 3rd try. Chris Cuomo bats at an imaginary fly. Brian Stelter emulates his life’s hero Jake Tapper by running a comb through his imaginary hair.]

Anderson Cooper: I got it! Let’s do a positive profile of our buddy Harvey Weinstein! Nobody’s doing that one!

CNN editor: We have a winner! Get on it, Chloe Melas!

[End]

Yes, friends, just when you thought the demented cretins at the fakest fakety-fake fake news channel on television could not stoop any lower, they go out of their way to prove you wrong yet again. Last night, CNN published a story by entertainment fake reporter Chloe Melas with the I-kid-you-not headline of “Harvey Weinstein weakened but unwavering two years later.”

You seriously could never make this stuff up.

Think I’m kidding? Check out these snips from the piece:

CNN has learned from those closest to Weinstein that he isn’t sorry about his alleged misconduct. He’s combative, maintains he is innocent of any crime and is planning for a career comeback post-trial. His attorneys have maintained that any sexual contact between Weinstein and his accusers was consensual.

Harvey’s combative! He’s punching back at his tormentors! Unwavering in his innocence!

“Anyone who looks at him or talks to him knows this has taken an emotional and physical toll. Is his health failing? Not in a life or death situation, but I think he’s just breaking down,” one of his friends told CNN.

His health is suffering, the poor man! Feel sorry for him!

Weinstein used to spend his days in the Tribeca offices of The Weinstein Company, the movie studio he co-founded in 2005 with his now estranged brother, Bob Weinstein. These days he’s mostly alone in his Manhattan apartment, “obsessing” about the trial and the women who have accused him, said one of his friends.

Oh, noes! Harvey’s lonely! He’s obsessing about his accusers who have wronged him so!

“He feels like he is owed an apology from Hollywood,” the source added. “I think there’s a part of him that thinks he will come out on the other side of this and be welcomed back to some version of his old life.”

He’s owed an apology! He can’t wait to get back to work! Why is he being mistreated so???

“When you ask what life is like for Harvey, all you have to do is turn on nightly news and see women screaming at him, ‘You’re a rapist,'” Rotunno said. “People have sort of made their decision in the court of public opinion and that’s been my problem with a lot of the coverage.”

Don’t judge him! Those mean women!!! Why does everyone keep judging him????

“There’s a difference between sins and crimes,” Rotunno said. “You may think that you don’t like the way Harvey conducted himself at times or choices that he’s made, but that doesn’t mean he’s a rapist.”

He’s Bill Clinton! We didn’t impeach Bill Clinton! Well, ok, we impeached him, but we didn’t remove him from office! Stop this madness!!!!

I would be fair and also point out that Ms. Melas then goes on to point out the likely truth about the allegations made against this walking, talking horror movie monster, but she and everyone else at CNN do not deserve fairness here. Because they decided to do this semi-puff piece voluntarily, for no reason other than that they wanted to.

Truly, the depths of CNN’s depravity have no floor.

[NOTE: About 15 minutes after I published this piece, CNN revised the headline on this story to read, ”

Harvey Weinstein combative and in denial ahead of rape trial, inner circle says

You could never, never, ever make these people up, folks.]

That is all.

So Much Fake News, So Little Time

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

  • “I said that last night  and again tonight, but nobody said that.  Wait, did I just say that?” – After spending an hour Tuesday night fake moderating a panel during which President Trump was referred to as “unhinged” and other synonyms of that word dozens of times, CNN fake host Don Lemon responded “nobody said that about the President” last night when a guest challenged him for calling the President “crazy” and “unhinged.”  Because, after all, this is CNN.
  • They’re like a modern-day Martin and Lewis, only without the talent. – During that same segment, both Lemon and fellow CNN fake host Brian Stelter repeatedly claimed that Ronald Reagan suffered from Alzheimer’s disease during the second term of his presidency, a complete lie make up by former Fox News Host Bill O’Reilly in a recent book.  That lie has been thoroughly debunked by Reagan’s doctors – who did not diagnose the ex-President with the disease until 1994, five years after he had left office – and dozens of Reagan’s colleagues.  But Lemon and Stelter did what CNN’s fake hosts do when caught in lies, and repeated it over and over and over again.
  • Hey, if he can lie about dead guys, he can lie about live ones too. – Perhaps that skill for making up lies about long-dead American figures that fill best-selling books is why CNN’s honchos are reportedly negotiating to bring O’Reilly in as a fake host for their own network.  They obviously have an eye for appropriate CNN fake talent.
  • But lying, vindictive fake journalists are not limited to CNN.  Wall Street Journal Editor Gerard Baker found that out the  hard way on Wednesday.  Having grown weary of seeing his own reporters exhibit an anti-Trump bias and disregard for truth everyone is used to seeing from the NYTimes and WaPo, Baker lectured his staff to “stick to the facts” when reporting on the President and his administration. Before he could say Trump Derangement Syndrome, Baker found that his personal emails had been leaked to the public.  This behavior is obviously an epidemic within the journalistic profession, not something that is limited to employment at specific outlets.
  • And the lying at media outlets is not limited to fake journalists. – ESPN President John Skipper is so damn stupid that he actually decided to defend his moronic, indefensible decision to deny play-by-play guy Robert Lee the chance to call a University of Virginia football game because his name is, well, Robert Lee.  Skipper issued a statement on Wednesday in which he now claims the person who initiated discussion about the assignment was Mr. Lee himself, a claim that is patently unbelievable.  Mr. Lee, who is an Asian American who will never in his life be mistaken as a descendant of Confederate General Robert E. Lee, isn’t commenting on the matter.  If a fish rots from the head down, ESPN is well and truly rotted.
  • So, you’re saying the truth hurts… – The NYTimes published a story in its Thursday edition headlined “Trump, Calling Journalists ‘Sick People’, Puts Media On Edge.”  Given that only a ‘sick person’ would write such a headline, pen the article underneath it, put it on Page 1 and call it “news,” it appears President Trump is onto something.  You keep hoping that these sick people in the journalist “profession” might eventually take a step back and engage in a little group introspection.  But self-awareness is never a strong point in “sick people.”
  • Bartender, I’ll have whatever those 5% are drinking, and make it a double. – A new Rasmussen survey reveals that 47% of likely voters believe that “when reporters write or talk about President Trump, they are trying to block the president from passing his agenda. Forty-one percent think members of the media are simply interested in reporting the news in an unbiased manner, while 5 percent feel they are trying to help Trump pass his agenda.”  Proving, of course, that 41% of likely voters are hopeless nitwits.

Just another day in fake news media America.

That is all.
