Mazie Hirono May Have Tipped the Coming Democrat Smear of Amy Coney Barrett

This is a serious question: How many Democrat members of the Senate Judiciary Committee have an IQ that is lower than the thermostat setting in the Senate hearing room? You can start with Mazie Hirono and Sheldon Whitehouse and go from there.

During yesterday’s hearing, you really could not help but wonder if Chuck Schumer simply arrayed his Democrat caucus members from lowest IQ to highest and then selected the 9 at the bottom of the list to sit on this key committee. I know from experience that members of congress are not especially intelligent as a class (though they are incredibly cunning as a class), but what the Democrats put on display on Wednesday was truly an embarrassment to the Senate as an institution.

Sheldon Whitehouse spent his entire 30 minutes of time going through a bizarre conspiracy theory about how “dark money” from the Koch Brothers somehow led directly to Judge Amy Coney Barrett’s nomination. It was a true tour de force in mindless stupidity.

Kamala Harris used almost all of her time to make a campaign speech read from notes prepared by her staff. Because of course she did. Cory Booker went through a series of questions so irrelevant and transparently leading that had Barrett using her “mom patiently dealing with an irrational child” face and voice out of pity.

Geriatric senators Dianne Feinstein and Patrick Leahy and Richard Blumenthal each supplied 30-minute commercials for the pressing need for congressional term limits, and Amy Klobuchar looked like she needed a binder to throw at a staffer every time Judge Barrett embarrassed her with a calm and perfectly reasoned answer to her idiotic inquiries.

Then there was Crazy Mazie Hirono, the junior senator from Hawaii. This execrable, malignant wretch showed up to the hearing with a list of questions that her staff had written for her and that she had obviously not even bothered to read prior to the hearing beginning. Several of the questions referenced cases and decisions Judge Amy Coney Barrett had made in the past, and it was painfully obvious Hirono had no clue what any of them were.

But the moment everyone should view and keep in the back of our minds from Hirono’s 30 minutes was this one:

“[S]ince you became a legal adult, have you ever made unwanted requests for sexual favors or committed any verbal or physical harassment or assault of a sexual nature?” A seemingly random question, designed to be explosive and cause damage to Judge Barrett’s reputation simply by being asked and then endlessly repeated across Twitter and other social media. At least, that is how it is being covered by the news media.

But those who have witnessed how the Democrats inevitably try to mount a heinous smear against any Republican Supreme Court nominee might have reacted by filing this moment away as a clue to what the nature of their coming smear of Judge Barrett might look like. Everyone should remember that Brett Kavanaugh was asked a series of loaded questions about his behavior in his youth during his committee hearings as well, but the actual smear job by Christine Blasey Ford was only brought to the public’s attention during the weekend after the hearing had concluded, and he seemed to be on a smooth path to confirmation.

The smearing of Clarence Thomas also followed a similar pattern and timeline.

Can anyone doubt that the same Democrats who paid Ford and several other women to hurl slanderous allegations at Justice Kavanaugh would dig up acquaintances and former co-workers of Judge Barrett to claim she had at some distant point in the past made improper sexual advances towards them? Of course they would do exactly that.

When these completely unnecessary and counterproductive hearings come to a merciful conclusion on Thursday, Judge Barrett and her unassailable character and record will appear to be on a smooth path to confirmation. The Democrats will have failed to lay a glove on her and Mitch McConnell will have either 51 or 52 votes to get the job done.

But then the weekend will come and America will find out then if these depraved and despicable Democrats are willing to mount the same sort of smear on a supremely qualified woman that they mounted against Justice Kavanaugh. If they are, it’s a pretty safe bet that we will be able to look back and see that Crazy Mazie was setting the table for it.

Get ready.

That is all.

Everyone Calm Down: Today’s SCOTUS Decision was a Big WIN for Trump

President Donald Trump went on an angry Twitter spree this morning after a 7-2 Supreme Court decision ruled on very narrow grounds that a grand jury can subpoena a president’s tax records. Here’s what @RealDonaldTrump had to say:

Now, of course the President is right about the absurdly disparate treatment he has received from this Court, and obviously also correct about the criminal nature of the entire Obama Administration.

But what he apparently missed before he went on this Twitter spurt is that today’s decision by the Court is actually a significant victory for him, one that sends the case back to the lower court and basically ensures that his tax records will remain confidential at least through November, and possibly forever. Not only that, but the case is also a loss for Democrats in congress and their politically-motivated pursuit of those tax records.

Here is how George Washington University Constitutional Law Professor Jonathan Turley explained it on his own Twitter feed:

Look, it’s very easy to understand the President’s anger and frustration about these never-ending battles he has had to engage in with the Deep State. But hey, he just keeps on WINNING those battles, even when, as in this case, he doesn’t even realize he has won.

That is all.

Jake Tapper: Straight Man to Democrat Smear Merchants

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

CNN’s Jake Tapper is a raging, unbridled hypocrite. Tapper loves to strike the pose of an old-fashioned, intrepid reporter doggedly going after the truth, and occasionally actually even asks a semi-tough question of a Democrat guest, though never with any attempt at follow up when the Democrat inevitably lies or deflects in their response.

The truth is that Tapper runs one of the most absurdly-biased shows on television, one that has spent the past four-plus years relentlessly pushing every bizarre smear and conspiracy theory the Democrats have concocted against President Donald Trump and members of his administration. Tapper is just another of CNN’s lineup of shameless Democrat toadies, and everyone knows it.

Thus, it was richly ironic and frankly telling on Sunday when Tapper, seemingly out of the blue, ripped off a completely unhinged, 2-minute diatribe about an “unprecedented smear campaign” that the Trump campaign is mounting against Joe Biden, fellow Democrats, and smear merchants like himself in the media. Tapper then followed his TV diatribe with tweets that said the following:

President Trump and his team are launching an unprecedented smear campaign against rivals, leveling wild and false allegations against critics in the media and politics, ranging from bizarre conspiracy theories to spreading lies about pedophilia and even murder. 1/

2/ These smear campaigns are unmoored from reality. They’re deranged and indecent and seem designed at least in part to distract us from the horrific death, health, and economic crisis caused by the pandemic. The pandemic, which impacts you, is what we will continue to focus on.

[End]

You have to love that last sentence, claiming that his show is just focused like a laser on the pandemic, thus implying that that is how he has always conducted his program. Literally nothing could be farther from the truth; but hey, that’s the CNN way.

Tapper has used his program for four solid years to actively promote the “Russia collusion” conspiracy theory, a theory that has now been completely debunked by the Mueller Report and a series of DOJ Inspector General reports. That truly unprecedented, massive smear was long ago revealed to have been concocted by the Pantsuit Princess Campaign working in conjunction with the Obama administration and willing dupes in the mainstream news media. Tapper was in fact one of the primary media dupes most guilty of willingly supporting this hoax. Yet, Tapper has never taken even a moment to reflect and offer an apology to his viewers, or even an acknowledgment of his own role in pushing that smear and attempted coup d’etat on American soil, which is what any serious journalist would have done.

For over a year, Tapper repeatedly provided a platform on his show for Michael Avenatti, the creepy porn lawyer who was pushing another smear and conspiracy theory targeting President Trump. That one involved Avenatti’s client, porn star Stormy Daniels, who Avenatti ended up bilking out of over a million dollars before he himself ended up in prison. Tapper, who at one point even spoke of Avenatti as a serious contender for the 2020 Democrat presidential nomination, has never taken a second to apologize to his viewers for his role in pushing this smear.

Nor has Tapper ever offered an apology for helping Avenatti push yet another smear, this time when he brought forward a clearly mentally deranged woman who hurled bizarre, completely-unsupported accusations at Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Again, Tapper played the willing propagandist for Avenatti’s conspiracy smear of a good man.

Tapper also used his program for six solid months last year through February of this year providing a platform for Democrats pushing still another conspiracy theory smear involving President Trump and the Ukraine. That smear, which we quickly discovered was concocted out of whole cloth by congressional Democrats led by the utterly corrupt Adam Schiff, occupied the national government’s attention while China was spreading the Wuhan Virus to our shores. Tapper has never taken a moment to apologize to his viewers for his role keeping them distracted on that particular Democrat hoax.

Speaking of Schiff, Tapper has also used his program as a platform for Schiff to spread his poisonous lies about all of the unprecedented smears mentioned above and more. Through all of Schiff’s dozens appearances on his program, Tapper has never once attempted to hold the pathological California congressman accountable in any way for his myriad obvious falsehoods.

Truly, America has seen no more consistent, dedicated smear and conspiracy merchant in its history than Jake Tapper. Thus, being the good little Democrat agent that he is, he naturally engages in the Clintonian/Alinskyite practice of projection, hurling the accusation at his enemies in the Republican Party.

What appeared to set Tapper off was the fact that Donald Trump, Jr. re-tweeted a video that mashes up a dozen or more instances of Joe Biden inappropriately touching, sniffing and caressing little girls and women at public events over the past 10 years. The videos of these instances have not been altered in any way, and simply show Biden being Biden. But true to his unerring form as a CNN propagandist for the Democrat Party, Tapper’s outrage is not with the creepy old man who clearly has a predatory issue going on, but with the member of the Trump family who retweeted it.

I would say Tapper is the worst such propagandist working today, but the truth is that he’s kind of middle-of-the-road in a profession that includes such luminaries as Brian Stelter, Fredo Cuomo, Lawrence O’Donnell and Rachel Maddow.

Sunday’s tantrum appears to have been an effort by Tapper to break out of that low-rent pack. With Avenatti in prison and Schiff apparently shying away from media engagement in light of all the recent revelations about his serial mendacity, that’s going to be hard to do. After all, Fake Jake is always at his propagandist best when playing the straight man to a Democrat smear merchant.

That is all.

On Biden and Reade, The New York Times Renders Itself Beyond Parody

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

It would be humorous if it weren’t so tiresomely predictable at this point. – This might be hard for you to believe, but there are still millions of Americans out there who believe the New York Times is a “news” organization. That hasn’t been the case since at the least the 1930s, when the Times served as an apologist platform for Adolph Hitler, just as it today serves as little more than an apologist platform for the national Democrat Party.

One of my favorite comedies is “So I Married an Axe Murderer,” starring Mike Meyers in multiple roles. He plays the lead character, and also the lead character’s father. The father is a crusty old first generation immigrant from Scotland who walks around in his underwear passing wind and hurling insults, and who believes that Colonel Sanders is the head of a worldwide conspiracy.

One of that film’s funniest scenes involves not the father, but the also-Scottish, long-suffering mother, who at one point asks her son “Charlie, hand me the paper,” pointing to a copy of the old supermarket tabloid The Weekly World News.

“Mom,” Charlie replies, “I find it interesting that you call The Weekly World News ‘the paper.’ A paper contains facts.”

Well, if the New York Times is in any guide, not anymore.

Over the weekend, the Democrat activists who make up the Times’ editorial board published one of the most outrageous op/ed pieces in U.S. newspaper history, one that crusty old long-time reporter and anchor Brit Hume referred to on Twitter Sunday as being “Beyond parody.” It truly is an amazing case of a stunning lack of self-awareness, highly-predictable hypocrisy and just plain old bad faith to the public interest that the free press is supposed to dutifully protect.

The piece begins with a summary of Tara Reade’s accusations of sexual harassment, sexual assault and what the hypocritical #MeToo movement would characterize as “rape” if Biden were anyone other than the presumptive presidential nominee of its favorite political party. But then the editorial board lurches into this paragraph:

In 2018, this board advocated strongly for a vigorous inquiry into accusations of sexual misconduct raised against Brett Kavanaugh when he was nominated to a seat on the Supreme Court.

Why yes, yes it did. It actually advocated for an investigation not by congress or some disinterested 3rd party, but by the FBI, which, thanks to the media uproar at the time, ended up taking place and finding nothing. And remember, the wild accusations hurled by the obvious liar Christine Blasey Ford had none of the true contemporaneous supporting attestations and evidence that support Ms. Reade’s claims.

In its very next three sentences, the Times then says the following:

Mr. Biden’s pursuit of the presidency requires no less. His campaign, and his party, have a duty to assure the public that the accusations are being taken seriously. The Democratic National Committee should move to investigate the matter swiftly and thoroughly, with the full cooperation of the Biden campaign.

You read that right: Where the Times called for a freaking FBI investigation into a guy who wanted to become one of nine Supreme Court justices, it wants the guy seeking to become the one and only holder of the highest and most powerful office in the land to be investigated by his own political party. If this were 1955, this same editorial board would no doubt advocate that famous mob boss Frank Costello be investigated by a committee of the Five Families.

It’s maybe the most absurd thing ever printed in a U.S. newspaper, but it only gets worse from there. Here’s the very next paragraph, in which the Times literally lays out the DNC talking points on Ms. Reade:

Ms. Reade’s account has some apparent inconsistencies. Last year, she was one of several women who came forward with complaints of Mr. Biden hugging or touching them in ways that made them uncomfortable, but she did not raise the assault accusation until this March. She says she tried to share her story with the media earlier, only to get “shut down.”

First, the #MeToo people have told us thousands of times over the past two years that it is entirely common for a woman who has been sexually assaulted to be reluctant to come forward with her full accusations, largely due to paragraphs just like this one printed in the newspapers. This paragraph is a literal outrage in the context of women who have suffered sexual abuse.

And that last sentence, which attempts to lead readers to believe Ms. Reade is not being honest about being shut down by the media earler? On Sunday, the Associated Press admitted to having an interview with Ms. Reade months ago on this subject, only to decide to kill the story.

Think this editorial cannot possibly get any worse? Boy are you in for a disappointment. Several more paragraphs down, we get this little gem:

While understandable, this concern is not prohibitive — and Mr. Biden’s word is insufficient to dispel the cloud. Any inventory should be strictly limited to information about Ms. Reade and conducted by an unbiased, apolitical panel, put together by the D.N.C. and chosen to foster as much trust in its findings as possible. Admittedly, this would be a major undertaking. Mr. Biden served 36 years in the Senate. He turned over nearly 2,000 boxes and more than 400 gigabytes of data to the University of Delaware; most of it has not been cataloged. But the question at hand is no less than Mr. Biden’s fitness for the presidency. No relevant memo should be left unexamined.

You read that right: As its’ justification for failing to call for an FBI investigation as it did in the Kavanaugh case, the Times asks its readers to believe that the DNC – by definition a political entity, and in practice one of the most despicably and aggressively hyper-political entities on the face of the earth – is capable of conducting an “apolitical” investigation of its own nominee.

The suggestion is absurd on its face: Who exactly would the Times suggest placing on such an “apolitical panel”? In this society in which literally everything and everyone has been politicized, it is frankly impossible that such a panel could be assembled by anyone, no matter how well-meaning, and DNC Chairman Tom Perez is certainly not well-meaning.

As for the University of Delaware records, they’ve already been scrubbed, and the Times editorial board knows it. The Biden campaign admits that several of its operatives spent days scouring those records weeks ago. Whatever documents relevant to Ms. Reade’s allegations that may have once been there are now safely long-gone and likely burned.

The Times, again as predictable as the sun rising in the West (at least, according to the Times), closes its cynical appeal to the DNC to be “apolitical” with this hyper-partisan final paragraph:

Mr. Biden has set higher standards for himself. That has been central to his appeal. His campaign is founded on the promise of restoring sanity, civility and decency to the presidency. Even if certainty isn’t possible in this matter, the American people deserve at least the confidence that he, and the Democratic Party, have made every effort to bring the truth to light.

You knew there was no way this collection of Democrat activists could get through 500 words without at least one attempt to smear President Trump, right? Of course you did.

The notion that Joe Biden has set “higher standards for himself” is laugh-out-loud ridiculous. This is a guy who, on the campaign trail, has continued his habit of fondling children and women, holding them too close, sniffing them and rubbing them with his spindly fingers. He apparently cannot help himself. He is a guy who has on multiple occasions this year challenged attendees at his own rallies to go outside for a fight. This is civility? This is decency?

And as for “sanity,” well, let’s be honest and recognize that Biden is also a guy who has repeatedly and clearly demonstrated that he often has no idea where he is, often is incapable of reading from a teleprompter, needs to have his despicable wife sitting next to him to keep him on message and has only a sporadic acquaintance with reality.

Joe Biden is not capable of handling the office of the presidency, and the Times editorial board knows this. But they just keep lying to their readers on behalf of the Democrat Party nevertheless.

Beyond parody, indeed. Beyond decency, in fact.

That is all.

Let’s Stop and Recognize all the Good Things Happening in America

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Guest Piece by Gregg Updike

There are real signs that actual justice is being delivered to cheaters, evil doers, and other criminals.  Maybe not as fast as we would like, but it is happening.  Look at what is occurring in the sports and entertainment industry:

Earlier this week, the Commissioner of Major League Baseball, Robert Manfred, announced the conclusion of MLB’s exhaustive several month long investigation of the Houston Astro electronic sign-stealing scandal.  The penalties meted out were severe and had several major repercussions which haven’t totally played out.

The Astros’ general manager, Jeff Luhnow and field manager, A. J. Hinch were both suspended for one year for using electronic surveillance to facilitate on-field cheating beginning (at least) in the 2017 post season.  The owner, Jim Crane, was fined five million dollars and the Astros lost their first and second round draft picks for the next two years.  This is a huge sanction and nearly unheard of in American Professional Sports.

Luhnow and Hinch were subsequently fired by the Astros, despite leading them to one of the best records in baseball for the last five or so years; by all accounts, they were running a model franchise.  These two were considered to be among the best baseball brains in the game; how the mighty have fallen.

The fallout has extended to Alex Cora; he was Hinch’s bench coach (the #2 man) in 2017 during their World Series winning season.  In 2018, be became the Red Sox’ field manager and led the Red Sox to the World Championship in his first year.  Yesterday he was (mutually agreed upon) dismissed from the Red Sox for his part in the 2017 Astros’ scandal and for a pending cheating investigation into the Red Sox 2018-9 seasons.  The final outcome of MLB’s investigations may also reach the New York Mets’ new field manager, Carlos Beltran.  Beltran was an Astros’ player in 2017 and has been implicated in the scandal and may also be “resigned” before he even manages a game for the Mets.

It is rare for such severe, and justified, punishment to be handed out to prominent, respected, and beloved (by many in the industry) leaders in America’s “Toy Department” known as professional sports.

Now , let’s check out what has transpired with the entertainment and “news” industry:

Harvey Weinstein is facing a whole lot of legal problems and his Hollywood “kingmaker” reputation has been forever shattered.

Michael Avenatti was recently actually taken into custody by the IRS during a hearing in court on another matter; he too is in heap-big trouble on may fronts.  He is the male version of the noted, publicity-seeking, and infamous celebrity lawyer and shakedown artist, Gloria Allred.  CNN, MSMBC, and other “news” outlets couldn’t get enough of him and his bogus accusations against President Trump and Justice Brett Kavanaugh.  Much of the Mainstream Media was actually touting him as a viable contender for the Democratic Presidential Nomination to run against Trump.

CNN just settled with the Covington High School Student, Nick Sandman, who will also successfully sue the other malignant organizations and people who gratuitously slandered him.

The ratings of most news networks, award shows, and left sponsored “debates”, are in the tank, as are the attendance figures of so many “message” movies starring loudmouth idiot activists.  The dead tree media is all but dead, with many newspapers shutting down.

The over-the-top vilification of the President and his supporters by the left for the last three plus years, and the (until now) well disguised hidden agenda of so many prominent people and so many “trusted” organizations has been exposed for all to see.  These once highly regarded people and organizations have been revealed as shams built on houses of cards.  They live and exist in glass houses, which are just waiting for the right stone to hit them and have the whole fraud of their existence collapse upon them; it is inevitable.

The “entertainers” are in the process of getting their just rewards, as conservative voices are fighting back against their PC garbage and are being heard.  Ricky Gervais’ (hardly a conservative) Golden Globes monologue is an excellent example of this recent push-back.  Soon the government and media cabal who have committed so many crimes against the people and our republic will have their comeuppance and get the “due process” they so richly deserve; a due process they so willingly deny to their political and cultural enemies.  They may not ultimately be incarcerated or punished as severely as we conservatives would like, but I have no doubt that eventually meaningful punishment will be forthcoming to the guilty.

It is perhaps surprising the entertainment industry, as (sadly) more Americans are tuned into it rather than government and politics, is the first to be exposed and punished, rather than the corrupt “public servants”.  The trend toward justice is being set in the minds of much of the public and the momentum is growing for more genuine justice to prevail during the Trump and future conservative administrations.

However, this positive trend will only continue with the reelection of Trump and election of true conservative presidents and members of Congress in all future elections.  A couple of elections with mixed results, won’t solve all our problems; we need to be active in all elections.  We are now being armed with the facts and knowledge of the left’s true agenda; therefore, we Americans must continue the good fight against crime and evil, or it will fester and return with a vengeance.

As President Ronald Reagan said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction…”  How true!

That is all.

Unpopular French Senators, and Piece of Sh*t Engages in Projection

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Delightful Peter isn’t satisfying his voters back home. – It turns out that running fake Twitter accounts and bashing the sitting President who easily won your state in 2016 is not a great strategy. A new poll of Utah voters shows the state’s creepy Twitter lurking Senator is now underwater with his constituents by a 46-51% margin. Not earth-shattering, but also not optimal, and it’s important to note that this poll was taken before Romney’s creepy nom de plume was revealed for all to be repelled by on Monday.

But Pierre Delecto, aka Creepy Uncle Mitt, did not run for that Utah senate seat in 2018 in the hopes of spending 30 years in the Senate. He ran for that senate seat in order to position himself to help remove President Donald Trump from office. He and his #NeverTrump cheering squad then hope to position the 2012 loooooooser to Barack Obama as the GOP’s replacement nominee so that he can run another loooooser campaign and hand the presidency to whatever Marxist/Alinsky radical the Democrat Party offers up.

So, negative approval polls back home? A minor irritant to a fake Frenchman with such large dreams of losing on the national stage one more time.

Noted piece of sh*t Obama toady Susan Rice engages in some podcast projection. – What is it about these Democrats and their podcasts? First, the Pantsuit Princess calls Tulsi Gabbard a Russian asset on a podcast with Democrat shill David Plouffe, causing an intra-party war to break out.

Now, the wretched Benghazi liar Susan Rice, one of the most detestable public figures in modern times, goes on a podcast with fellow Obama toady pieces of sh*t Ben Rhodes and Tommy Vietor and calls Senator Lindsey Graham “a piece of sh*t”, not once, but three times:

“He’s been a piece of shit,” she said. “He’s a piece of shit. There, I said it, he’s a piece of sh*t.”

Now, many, many people have very strong opinions about Sen. Graham, and most of them are well-founded and well-deserved. I personally detailed my own current grievances about the South Carolina Senator just yesterday, in fact.

Graham is one of the most mercurial and unprincipled members of the U.S. Senate, a guy who followed the execrable warmonger globalist John McCain around like a little doggie on a leash for 20 years, but also a guy who experiences momentary bursts of stellar behavior, as he did during the Brett Kavanaugh hearings a year ago:

But Susan Rice of all people? Whatever else one thinks about Lindsey Graham, he served his country in the U.S. Air Force JAG Corps for 7 years. Susan Rice has never had a patriotic moment in her entire life. Susan Rice has never produced anything positive for the American people. Susan Rice is the despicable hack who has such low personal standards that she was willing to go on not one, not two, not three, not four, but FIVE Sunday morning fake news shows on the Sunday after Benghazi happened and recite a completely false script at Obama’s demand.

Susan Rice is the detestable sock puppet who wrote the infamous “memo to self” on January 20, 2017, in a vain attempt to cover Obama’s crooked butt related to the efforts to spy on the Trump campaign and fix the 2016 election. Susan Rice is nothing but the very worst kind of DC Swamp errand girl, a person who has spent her entire adult life working to undermine the foundations of the American Republic.

If anyone in America can be accurately described as a pile of excrement laying out on a sidewalk for some unsuspecting passerby to step on, it is Susan Rice. She should move to San Francisco, where piles of human waste are all over the sidewalks and she would have plenty of company.

This has got to be the most unintentionally-hilarious case of projection in world history.

That is all.

No American Has Any Obligation to be Honest With Our Dishonest Media

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Lewandowski’s right: No one has any obligation to be honest with a dishonest press. – Writing in The Atlantic, Russell Berman has a pearl-clutching piece about Cory Lewandowski treating Jerrold Nadler’s contemptible fake impeachment hearing yesterday with, well, contempt. Which is exactly what Lewandowski did, and deservedly so.

Berman lays out several examples of Lewandowski’s alleged contempt, and they’re all pretty much accurate. The upper east-side reader base of The Atlantic will all tut-tut and mutter ‘well, I never,’ naturally forgetting how they all cheered when an array of Obama-era officials committed mass perjury before the same committee during 2017-18, when it was chaired by a Republican.

One very interesting exchange Berman whines about came when Lewandowski told Democrat hired consultant Lawfare lawyer Barry Berke that,  “I have no obligation to be honest with the media because they are just as dishonest as anybody else,” a statement that elicited gasps in the hearing room. No doubt most, if not all of those gasps came from members of the media assembled there.

So, here’s the irony of a writer for The Atlantic complaining about Lewandowski’s contempt not just for the Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee, but also for the fake news media: On the same day Berman’s piece was published, the magazine produced another piece, written by the dishonest pair of New York Times reporters who were caught in massive lies about Justice Brett Kavanaugh over the weekend.

As discovered by the great Mollie Hemingway, Senior Editor for The Federalist, The Atlantic’s piece, intended as a free advertisement for the Times’ reporters’ new smear book on Kavanaugh, contains another gigantic whopper. As we pointed out in yesterday’s Campaign Update, the book focuses on an alleged incident during Kavanaugh’s time in college – 38 years ago – in which he supposedly committed a lewd act at a party towards a girl who was supposedly there.

Never mind that the girl in question has no memory of any such incident, or even being at the party – something you would think would stick in her mind into perpetuity. Never mind that the authors end up admitting that they have literally no actual witnesses to the alleged lewd act at all, and base their entire despicable book on pure hearsay that no real journalist would ever dream of citing. This is Brett Kavanaugh, threat to Roe v. Wade, we’re talking about here, so the dragon must be slain by any means possible, even if it requires the commission of conscious journalistic mendacity.

Hemingway exposed the authors for the deceitful hacks they truly are over the weekend, taking less than 24 hours to do so, and now exposes them even further as lying yet again in their Atlantic piece. In that piece, the authors claim that “The people who allegedly witnessed the event—Kavanaugh’s friends Kevin Genda, David Todd, and David White—have kept mum about it.”

That is a straight-up falsehood, as Hemingway details, pointing to a New Yorker piece written about the alleged incident a year ago:

One of the male classmates who Ramirez said egged on Kavanaugh denied any memory of the party. ‘I don’t think Brett would flash himself to Debbie, or anyone, for that matter,’ he said. Asked why he thought Ramirez was making the allegation, he responded, ‘I have no idea.’ The other male classmate who Ramirez said was involved in the incident commented, ‘I have zero recollection.’

In a statement, two of those male classmates who Ramirez alleged were involved in the incident, the wife of a third male student she said was involved, and one other classmate, Dan Murphy, disputed Ramirez’s account of events: ‘We were the people closest to Brett Kavanaugh during his first year at Yale. He was a roommate to some of us, and we spent a great deal of time with him, including in the dorm where this incident allegedly took place. Some of us were also friends with Debbie Ramirez during and after her time at Yale. We can say with confidence that if the incident Debbie alleges ever occurred, we would have seen or heard about it—and we did not.

There’s even more, but you get the gist. The New York Times reporters – who I refuse to name here for the same reason I refuse to name mass killers, because they’re all shameful attention-seekers – at best failed to conduct even the most rudimentary research into the previous reporting by others on this alleged incident. At worst, they simply hoped to cover up the truth about what these supposed witnesses have in fact said about it.

So, this just becomes another in a long, long line of incidents in which “news” outlets like the New York Times and The Atlantic have been caught in blatant efforts to deceive the public about Trump-related officials. It should also be noted that the New Yorker piece referred to by Hemingway was itself revealed to contain a string of falsehoods shortly after it was published.

In the 4 years since Donald Trump announced his presidential candidacy, we have witnessed dozens of incidents – if not hundreds – in which supposed “news” organizations like these three, along with CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS, the Washington Post and many others have published or aired heinously false reports about President Trump, his family, and a vast array of Administration officials and been forced to later sheepishly correct them and even fire the reporters and editors involved.

These are not honest mistakes. These are not oversights or errors in the editing process. These are obvious, intentional efforts to deceive in order to attain a political goal. We know this because the “mistakes” always, without exception, serve to damage the President or anyone connected to him. Honest mistakes would cut both ways.

This is the sorry state of America’s news media today, and it is not getting better over time. If anything, the incidents of outright false reporting are accelerating as the Democrats and their media toadies continue to fail in their efforts to “get” Trump. A sense of rising desperation does that to people.

Given this reality, what possible obligation would Cory Lewandowski or any other American have to deal with such a manifestly dishonest media establishment honestly and truthfully? When you know that anything you say to a reporter is going to be twisted, edited, omitted or taken out of context in order to be made to seem damaging, why worry about honesty? When you know the media outlet you are dealing with cares nothing about facts, why bother with facts?

The press corps can gasp, tsk-tsk and mutter all the “well, I nevers” they want, but this is a situation of their own making. They have made this bed, and now they are lying in it, both figuratively and literally.

Enemies of the people, plain and simple.

That is all.

CBS Exposes a Corrupt New York Times Smear

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

That thing that happens when not everyone is down with the latest smear effort. – The newsfakers at the New York Times made big news of their own on Monday when they were forced by actual journalists to issue a correction to their latest smear story targeting Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

This latest story was penned by two Times fake reporters who have a new book out. Oh, joy! The book rehashes old accusations against Kavanaugh brought forward and rejected as baseless last year, while pretending to add new meat to the bone to one accuser who supposedly claimed that Kavanaugh exposed himself to her at a party. The fake authors claim in the book to have found 7 “witnesses” who supposedly remember the incident.

Big problem: Not a single one of those seven “witnesses” make any claim to have actually witnessed anything. Only one of them was actually at the party in question and has no specific memory of Kavanaugh being involved in any exposing of anything other than a beer cup. None of the other six were even at the party. Oh.

Wait! It gets better: The alleged “victim” herself has no memory of the “incident” alleged in the book, and refused to even discuss it with the authors. Now, that’s some “journalism” right there, huh?

The fake reporters naturally saved those bits of  key information for very late in the book and made no mention of them in the story they penned for the oh-so accommodating pages of their employer’s fake newspaper. But actual journalists at other media outlets, including Mollie Hemingway at The Federalist, exposed all of this and much more over the weekend, creating a huge blowback towards the Times and its fake reporters and forcing the Times to issue a correction to the story.

This smear effort was so transparent and corrupt that it even had Brit Hume, who has stubbornly avoided calling his colleagues corrupt all these years, finally giving in to unavoidable reality:

But by the time the “correction” was issued, the intended damage to Justice Kavanaugh had already been done, which was the plan all along. For every 100 people who read or heard about the original story, you might have five who read or heard about the correction. This is how our fake news media does these smear campaigns, of course.

Normally, everyone else in the fake news media is fully on-board with smears led by the Times, and never make any effort to inform their readers/viewers of the journalistic mendacity being practiced by the fake newspaper of record. Last night, Jan Crawford at CBS News had apparently had enough of this nonsense.

Crawford, in a report aired on the CBS Evening News, reported on the Times’s correction, and went even further, noting the following:

Oh. Gosh, that’s kind of important information, too, isn’t it? This bit of explosive, real news also gets passing mention in the book by the fake Times reporters, but was naturally excluded from their piece in the Times. The news about Leland Keyser putting the lie to Blasey Ford’s original put-up smear is, in fact, the only real “news” contained in the book at all.

So, here we have the anatomy of the classic fake news media smear as led by the New York Times.

– When your first massive effort to smear the subject during his nominating process failed to bring its desired result, have two of your fakest reporters collaborate on a book that rehashes the original smears but supplements them with “new” information that isn’t new at all.

– When they stumble across one bit of actual real news that would be bombshell evidence of the subject’s actual innocence related to the original smear, bury it in the book and hope no one actually reads it.

– Then have your fake reporters pen a story for your newspaper and make sure they don’t mention the real news in it and exclude key facts that would also serve to exonerate the subject.

– Take that story to print, and when you get caught excluding the key information, wait at least 48 hours before issuing a half-assed “correction” that no one will read.

As long as everyone else in the fake news media is on-board with the new smear effort, you’re golden. Conservative outlets like The Federalist and Fox News don’t matter because your own readers/viewers will just dismiss them out of hand.

Foolproof, right? And CBS news, whose own “news” division is mostly just a bunch of toadies who do little but parrot DNC talking points and rehash stories printed by the Times and the Washington Post each day, is basically the last competing outlet you’d expect to give up the ghost.

But there’s Jan Crawford, bringing the Times’s fake chickens home to roost. Who knows why? Maybe Times Editor Dean Baquet pissed somebody off.

Regardless, good for Ms. Crawford for her decision to be a real journalist, at least for one day. I bet it feels good for her to be reporting the truth for a change.

The Democrat/media propaganda complex is going to need a new smear.

That is all.

Why The Media Falls for Obvious Hoaxes: Because, Like Fox Mulder, They Want to Believe

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Jussie, we hardly knew ye. – And just like that, Jussie Smollett’s obvious hoax, which was promoted by the entirety of your fake news media and a raft of craven Democrat politicians for two solid weeks because it fit their anti-Trump narrative, came to a crashing end. In case you missed it, news came down last night that Chicago Police had charged the neurotic actor with felony disorderly conduct and filing a false report. And thus, yet another media-promoted hoax – which was an obvious hoax from its first fake reports – crashes and burns with no one in the media bothering to apologize for their own conduct.

Some have speculated over the past few days about why it is that our fake news media keeps falling for this kind of transparent hoax, ruminating over all sorts of complex explanations.  But the reality is really quite simple: The overwhelmingly naive, biased, rage-filled leftist “journalists” who infest the nation’s newsrooms quite simply want to believe anything that reflects negatively on President Donald Trump and/or his supporters.

Think of these people as a bunch of Fox Mulders from the old X-Files series, only not quite. Despite Mulder’s constant refrain of “I want to believe,” his character did consistently employ a healthy dose of skepticism in his investigations of “paranormal” activities, many of which ended up being blatant hoaxes. So, despite his desire to “believe” in the story line laid out before him, his healthy skepticism meant he had nothing to apologize for at the end of each episode.

Contrast that to the on-air leftwing activists at CNN and MSNBC, and the anti-Trump fanatics who pose as “editors” and “reporters” at the New York Times and Washington Post, not to mention disgraceful digital sites like the Daily Beast and the Huffington Post. Every time some obvious hoax that would cast negative light on the President or someone associated with him arises, some combination of these media outlets invariably become the ring-leaders of the fake media mob.

Think about it: All of these media outlets still desperately cling to the “Russia Collusion” fantasy, despite public knowledge that the entire thing was concocted by the Hillary Clinton campaign, despite the public knowledge that it is based entirely on a fake “Dossier” compiled by foreign agents who were on the Clinton/DNC payroll, despite the failure of multiple congressional committees and a 21-month-long Special Counsel investigation to turn up a shred of evidence implicating the President in any wrongdoing.

Why is that? Because they want to believe. The hoax fits their preferred narrative, after all. Why be skeptical? Why employ some modicum of journalistic standards, when your personal bias and greatest longings in life have been confirmed?

These and other fake media outlets still treat Christine Blasey Ford as some sort of heroic angel despite the reality that pretty much everything she testified to against Brett Kavanaugh has been proven to have been false. But hey, why let facts get in the way of a good anti-Trump narrative? They want to believe.

These same fake media outlets spent two weeks in January smearing a bunch of Catholic school kids for no real reason other than a few of them were wearing MAGA caps and one of them was – gasp! – smiling! Their smearing of these children was based entirely on an obviously-edited video, even though the full video clearly demonstrated the kids were the ones who had been assaulted and had done nothing wrong.  But the edited version fit the Democrat/media narrative about anyone who supports the President, so they all went with that instead. On Tuesday, the cretins at the Washington Post got named in a $250 million libel suit for those efforts. Hopefully more such filings will follow.

There have been at least two dozen times over the past two years in which either the Times or the Post published stories based solely on “anonymous sources” making some wild claim about either President Trump or Donald, Jr. or someone in the Administration, stories that immediately created an online feeding frenzy from all the other fake media outlets, and stories that within 24-48 hours were proven to be utterly and laughably fake.  Hoaxes. Obvious hoaxes from the start, to anyone with a modicum of skepticism.

But the media wanted to believe those stories and repeated them in a frenzy without the slightest analysis.

The Smollett case stank to high heaven from the very first report. We were asked to believe that, in heavily-liberal Chicago, on a night when the temperature was well below zero, there were these “white supremacist” guys roaming around wearing MAGA caps, looking for some no-account actor to assault. We were asked to believe that these MAGA white guys shouted “this is Trump country” and various racial slurs during their assault, and even had a rope handy to wrap around Smollett’s neck.

Even better, we were asked to believe that Smollett’s Subway sandwich escaped unharmed during the assault, and that Smollett sat around for 45 minutes wearing the rope while he ate said sandwich, and still had it around his neck when the police arrived. Even better than that, we were supposed to believe these MAGA-cap white supremacists had splattered Smollett with bleach even though the temperature was about 30 degrees below the point at which bleach freezes.

An obvious hoax.  A hoax so transparent that Fox Mulder wouldn’t even have wanted to believe it. But the entirety of our fake news media and leadership of the Democrat Party sure as hell did. They all fell for it hook, line and sinker, going out of their way to deploy racially-charged language in their statements and tweets in which they referred to the “victim” in glowing terms.

They wanted to believe because it fit their preferred narrative.

Now that the media’s hero has been revealed as a complete fraud and will go to trail for his crimes, the media will no doubt support his almost-certain efforts to claim that he is actually the real victim here: A victim of depression, a victim of bi-polar disorder, a victim of some sort of mental or emotional malady that he and his lawyers hope will get him sentenced to rehab rather than jail time. And once whatever sentence he receives has been completed, Smollett will no doubt be paid millions by some book publisher and millions more for the movie rights to his “story”, and the fake media will award its hero with gobs of free airtime and print space to promote whatever he’s hawking.

Because that’s what our fake reporters and editors and talking heads do with their favored frauds. They want to believe, and one way or another, they will.

It really is that simple. No further analysis required.

That is all.

The Week in Review: No Good Deed By Donald Trump Goes Unpunished

The Campaign Update Week in Review

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

President Donald Trump was in both Montana and Florida for rallies on Saturday.  Think about that for a minute:  He’s based in Washington, D.C.  He gets up in the morning, gets his daily security briefing, then hops on Marine One – after chatting with the hostile fake news media for a little bit – which takes him to Joint Base Andrews.

There, he boards Air Force One for the 5-hour flight out to Belgrade, Montana.  He spends an hour speaking to an audience of thousands of Montanans – with thousands more watching on large video screens outside the venue – then he hops back on Air Force One for the 2,000 mile, 5-hour flight down to Pensacola, Florida.

There, he again spends an hour speaking to thousands of Floridians, with a huge crowd of thousands more gathered outside, and then hops back on Air Force One for the 1-hour flight to his resort at Mar-a-Lago.  Presumably, he got some sleep there.

This is a 72 year-old man.  By the way, this is a 72 year-old man who works for free.  He donates his presidential salary every quarter to a different worthy cause, an act of generosity that goes unreported by our fake news media.

While Democrats, their agents in the fake news media and even many of his Republican colleagues bitch and moan about him spending too much time at Mar-a-Lago and the other properties he owns on weekends, the fact of the matter is that most normal men his age and wealth status would be spending all of their time playing golf while the kids take over the family business.  Instead, Donald Trump is spending his time presiding over a nation experiencing a booming economy and relative peace and stability in the world.

For delivering all of that, he has been rewarded with 92% negative fake media coverage, hostile and violent rhetoric coming from all corners of pop culture and the education establishment, unending assassination threats from entertainers and social media, and a special counsel investigation that has now lingered on for 17 months.

Our nation has an odd way of rewarding all this WINNING.

Trump in Montana:  Purple mountains majesties above the fruited plain!

Let’s go to the Week in Review:

  • It was the week that one of Brett Kavanaugh’s Democrat-recruited accusers admitted not only that she lied to the Senate Judiciary Committee, but that she has in fact never even met Justice Kavanaugh.  If you’re surprised by this, you haven’t been paying attention.
  • It was the week that leftist lawyers for a dozen “migrants” who have never set foot in the United States of America were allowed to file a lawsuit in federal court against a sitting President.  Because, rights, or something.
  • It was the week that a campaign staffer for Democrat Andrew Gillum was arrested for throwing her milk at a group of college Republicans.  Because, hey, this is what the media has empowered her to do.
  • It was the week that multiple staffers for Irish Bob O’Rourke were caught on video illegally using campaign funds to send money to the “migrant caravan” in Mexico, and the Texas news media shamed itself by parrotting the O’Rourke campaign’s talking points and ignoring the video evidence.  Again, if this surprises you, you haven’t been paying attention.
  • It was the week the fake news media completely forgot about that Khashoggi guy, and so did every other American.
  • It was the week that the Democrats and their media agents mounted a coordinated effort to define any effort to criticize the despicable, anti-American, anti-Israel George Soros as “anti-Semitic” hate speech.  Holy crap.
  • It was the week that Democrat Supreme Court Justice Sonya Sotomayor said in one breath that she often would have used a baseball bat on the late Antonin Scalia if she had had one handy, but in the next breath said that “differences don’t stand, necessarily, on ill will.”  I swear I don’t make this stuff up.
  • It was the week this happened:

*sigh*

  • It was the week a former high-profile campaign worker for Barack Hussein Obama was arrested for spraying anti-Semitic graffiti and attempting to burn down a Jewish Synagogue, and the fake news media studiously ignored his connection to the former President:

  • It was the week garbage human being Alec Baldwin got arrested, yet again:

  • It was the week President Trump re-instituted all previous sanctions on Iran and added a few more.  This came after two days of fake media reports that his Administration was backing off of most of them.  Fake news, defined.
  • It was the week that Morning Joe guest pinhead Donny Deutsch actually said that Donald Trump was elected to the presidency because “I don’t think we were ready for a black president.” Quick:  Someone tell Donny that we actually elected a black president, TWICE.  My goodness.
  • It was the week that this happened:

Are there really real, actual Texans who care what John Brennan thinks about our senate race?  Really???
  • It was the week that CNN fake host Don Lemon told America – or, well, the tiny little sliver of leftist America that still watches CNN – that our biggest terror threat is “white men,” and CNN’s management endorsed his statement.  Again, if this surprised you, you need to pay closer attention.
  • It was the week we discovered that MSNBC’s Katy Tur is, um, geographically-challenged:

  • It was the week that CNN morning host Alyisin Camerota’s tiny little brain exploded when a guest didn’t follow the narrative:

  • It was the week that fake pollsters, on the same day in Arizona, gave us results that said Democrat Kyrsten Sinema was leading by 4 points and Republican Martha McSally was leading by 7.  And some of you wonder why I have a negative view of our nation’s polling industry.
  • It was the week that the editorial board at the Houston Chronicle beclowned itself by endorsing Irish Bob O’Rourke in his race against Ted Cruz because O’Rourke plays well with others.  *sigh*
  • It was the week that this happened:

There was so much more, but I’m running out of energy here.  After all, I’m not a 72 year-old guy who works for free.
That is all.

Halloween on Twitter: Political Mayhem, Fake News Zombies and Belly Laughs

The Evening Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

One of my Twitter followers sent me a private message today asking “how can you vote for some of these Republicans?” Seriously? You have to ask me that?

My answer was very simple: “Because they aren’t Democrats.” That was several hours ago, and I haven’t heard back from this person. Frankly, I expect she will un-follow me by the end of the day.

But look, why would I or any other thinking person ever vote for another Democrat? It’s a serious question. This is a political party that has over the last three years done everything it can to normalize the most reprehensible anti-American behaviors.

From shooting up Republican softball practices to accosting septuagenarians and their wives in restaurants to Antifa goons beating up people on the streets to CNN talk show hosts dog-whistling approval of potential presidential assassins to rounding up women to try to destroy the family and life of a Supreme Court nominee, if they think it might gain them even a momentary political advantage, Democrats are for it no matter how dangerous, destructive, depraved and despicable it might be.

I’m going to vote for that?  Really?  No, thanks.

Nor am I going to cast a vote to take this country back to the overregulated, moribund economy we had prior to November 9, 2016. I’m not going to vote to lop 25% off of the Dow Jones Industrial Average and 2% off of our economic growth rate. I’m not going to vote to put our country back into an irresponsible, un-American agreement with the Mullahs in Iran, or to re-engage us in a Paris “Climate” deal that was really nothing but a global wealth redistribution scheme targeting the American middle class.

Sorry, I’m not down with any of that, and I never will be.

And don’t try to convince me that I can vote for some particular Democrat for congress because he/she would get to Washington and be an “independent voice for Texas” or whatever other nonsense Democrats like Irish Bob O’Rourke are using in their campaign ads.  Give me a break here.  Irish Bob would get to Washington and become the third senator from California.  He’d be Chuck Schumer’s most reliable vote in the U.S. Senate.

Likewise, any Democrat who gets elected to the House of Representatives will be so bullied around by Nancy Pelosi within their first 2 weeks in D.C. that they’ll have literally forgotten where their congressional district even is, much less do anything effective to represent it.

Anyway, that was the bad part of Twitter today, but there was all sorts of fun on that platform as well.  Here follows a selection of the best examples of the day.

It’s a great question, and I’m glad Sara Carter asked it:

Speaking of great questions, Mollie Hemingway asks another one here…:

Hey, remember when Netflix signed that deal with the Obamas that allows them to produce series for its streaming platform?  Well, guess who their first target is going to be…:

And speaking of things nobody could have possibly seen coming…:

Desperate losing Sen. Claire McCaskill explains who she meant when she claimed in an ad to not be “one of those crazy Democrats,” and the crazy Democrat she specified responds in unambiguous and profane terms.:

Yikes. That particular crazy Democrat has some bite.

Speaking of moves being made by desperate losing Democrats, I give you Ed Donnelly of Indiana.:

There is literally no content too low and despicable for CNN to spew out onto its platform.:

By the way, Mr. Lemon’s boyfriend is white, and radical.

The Alexandria Ocasio Cortez parody account responds, but if you didn’t know it was a parody, you’d totally believe it was something she’d actually said:

No day on Twitter could ever be complete without making fun of the Creepy Porn Lawyer.:

Finally, while CNN and MSNBC were misleading their viewers into thinking President Donald Trump was greeted by nothing but protesters and haters on his trip to Pittsburgh to visit with Synagogue shooting survivors, you had to be on Twitter to see the truth:

Just another day of highs, lows and belly laughs on Twitter.

That is all.

Fresh out of new Narratives, the New York Times Does a Remake of “Impeachment”

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Ok, so, that Kavanaugh smear didn’t work, so the fake news media needs a new narrative. – Meet the new narrative, same as the old narrative.  The “Kavanaugh is a gang rapist!” narrative was a miserable failure; the “Taylor Swift endorses Phil Bredesen!” narrative crashed up on the shoals of disastrous poll results; the “Trump misreported his taxes!” narrative held public attention for about, well, no time at all; and the “It’s gonna be a BLUE WAVE!!!!!” narrative is showing clear signs of being more like a Tidy Bowl toilet flushing.  What’s the fake news media to do?

Why, make up a new narrative, that’s what.  The trouble is, the fake news media is a lot like Hollywood:  It cycles through new scripts so rapidly that it has run fresh out of ideas.  So the obvious answer?  Do a remake!

That’s right:  Just as Hollywood recently brought us completely unnecessary remakes of films like “Ben Hur” and “A Star is Born,” the newsfakers at the New York Times this morning are treating us to a completely unnecessary remake of “Is Trump on a Collision Course With Impeachment?” . Isn’t that wonderful?

*sigh*

With Robert Mueller systematically winding down his “investigation”, Democrat hopes of gaining a majority in either house of congress rapidly fading, and exactly ZERO legitimate justification for removing a president from office having been identified by Mueller or anyone else, this reboot of the “impeachment” narrative will also have a very short shelf life.  So expect the newsfakers at the New York Times and the rest of our fake news media to be bringing us yet another narrative sequel, reboot or remake soon, because that’s all they got left.

Elsewhere, Andy McCarthy, one of just two writers at The National Review still worth reading (the other being the great Victor Davis Hanson), has a piece out this weekend titled “Who Will Save the Democrats From Their Leaders?”.  In the piece, McCarthy systematically disassembles the utterly corrupt Eric Holder piece by piece in a way that is a true work of art.  It’s a fantastic read that I highly recommend to everyone.

Here is one outstanding passage to whet your appetite:

“But if there is anyone who knows about “going low,” it is Mr. Holder. He is, after all, the first attorney general in American history to be held in contempt of Congress.

And low is exactly where Holder — along with Hillary “No Civility Unless We Win” Clinton and the rest of the social-justice arriére-garde — has taken a once-great political party.

In a better time, we would not be talking about Eric Holder. He would be dismissed as a fringe radical who endorses forcible, extortionist tactics against political adversaries (and then, in familiar Holder fashion, spends the next day pretending he didn’t say what he said). In a better time, we would be asking why anyone would care what Eric Holder says, about anything.

But today, Holder is important. Today, he is a mainstream Democratic leader.”

Go read it.  Trust me, it’s worth 5 minutes of your time.

And this from the #NeverTrump fantasy world of fake conservatism…Washington Post pet fake conservative lapdog Kathleen Parker has a new piece up this morning in which she blames President Donald Trump (I never tire of typing those three glorious words) for her and other Americans drinking too much alcohol.  I swear I don’t make this stuff up.  Here’s a quote:

“Lately, at least from my perch on the porch, the evening cocktail has become less an aperitif than a medicinal slug made necessary by the alternative of ripping off my face. To bear witness to These Times In Which We Live is to go insane, join a cult or pour your favorite poison.”

Ms. Parker obviously has a severe aversion to all this #WINNING.

Oh, hey, that’s just how Joe is. – And while we’re at it, let’s not leave Joe Biden out of all the Trump-bashing fun.  Creepy Ol’ Joe had this to say about the President of the United States of America (something Joe Biden will never become) on Saturday:

“He is just trashing American values the way he talks about people, the way he makes fun of people, the way he denigrates folks.”

Ok, now, to refresh everyone’s memories, this is the exact same Joe Biden who:

  • Gleefully participated in the slandering of Robert Bork;
  • Cheerfully helped organize the smearing of Clarence Thomas;
  • Said Barack Hussein Obama was a great African American presidential candidate because he’s “clean” and “articulate”;
  • Said that “In Delaware, the largest growth of population is Indian Americans, moving from India. You cannot go to a 7-11 or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I’m not joking.” and
  • Has spent the last 30 years getting caught on film creepily fondling and otherwise violating the personal space of all manner of women and even Chris Coons’s teenage daughter.

Someone needs to remind Mr. Biden that he lives in a very, very fragile glass house, and throwing rocks from within it is a really bad idea.

That is all.

The Week in Review: Trump Spoke the Truth, the Media Went Nuts

The Campaign Update Week in Review

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

The most outstanding feature of this week was the media going nuts.  What was so interesting about it to me was that they went nuts every time President Trump told the truth

For example, at the formal swearing-in of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, the President told the truth about the fact that he had been subjected to a shameful smearing organized by the Democrats.  An absolute, unarguable fact.  The media went nuts.

At his rally in Ohio Friday night, Trump told the truth about the unarguable fact that Robert E. Lee was a great general.  Simply a fact of history.  The media went nuts.

Upon the release of Pastor Andrew Brunson from a Turkish prison, the President tweeted this absolute true statement:

“There was NO DEAL made with Turkey for the release and return of Pastor Andrew Brunson. I don’t make deals for hostages. There was, however, great appreciation on behalf of the United States, which will lead to good, perhaps great, relations between the United States & Turkey!”

Not surprisingly, the media went nuts.

Of course, the reality here is the media and their Democrat masters just can’t deal with reality.  Trump keeps winning, they keep losing, and they go nuts because they don’t know what else to do at this point.  Combine all that losing with the fact this was the week that their precious “blue wave” fantasy began to show signs of slipping away, and it’s amazing they all haven’t been committed to an asylum by now.

But hey, it’s just a matter of time.  Let’s go to the Week in Review:

It was the week Cocaine Mitch McConnell out-maneuvered Cryin’ Chuckie Schumer yet again, securing a deal in which the Senate confirmed en mass no less than 15 new federal judges to the bench in exchange for calling the Senate into recess so that desperate Democrats could go home to campaign.

It was the week Hurricane Michael devastated the Florida panhandle, and Democrat Senator Bill Nelson turned the tragedy into a fundraising opportunity.

It was the week that Al Gore told us all we only have 10 more years to save the planet, a talking point he has used every year for the last 30 years, and will continue to use every year for the rest of his life.

It was the week that the Creepy Porn Lawyer and Irish Bob O’Rourke formed a fundraising partnership, because apparently Irish Bob just can’t run a senate campaign with only $60 million on hand.

It was the week that an American president secured the release of a hostage from Turkey without trading a bunch of terrorist prisoners held here in the U.S. and without shipping planeloads of cash to a hostile government.  Just one more element of the un-American legacy of Barack Hussein Obama gone.

It was the week that Taylor Swift became a leftist hero by endorsing Tennessee Democrat senate candidate Phil Bredesen, and Bredesen’s campaign immediately fell completely apart.

It was the week that Kanye West became a leftist enemy by breaking bread with President Donald Trump, and every talking head on CNN and MSNBC went into full panic mode.  The anti-Kanye rhetoric coming out of those two fake news outlets sounded like something out of a 1940s Klan rally.

It was the week that Judge Brett Kavanaugh became Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh and there wasn’t a damn thing any Democrat on earth could do about it.

It was the week that the Democrats and the fake news media dropped Christine Ford like a hot potato to literally no one’s surprise.

It was the week that the Pantsuit Princess and Eric Holder openly declared themselves in favor of escalating violence from the American left.

It was the week that Nikki Haley announced she would be leaving her UN post at the end of the year, and every Trump supporter breathed a huge sigh of relief when he made it clear that Bushite globalist Dina Powell would not be her successor.

It was the week we found out that the Arizona Democrat senate candidate thinks her state is “the meth lab of America.”

Finally, It was the week that all the pollsters who have spent the last 9 months doing their best to convince us all a “blue wave” began to panic and warn their favored Democrats that hey, uh, well, ummmm…maybe that’s not really gonna happen after all.

Man, nobody could’ve seen that one coming.  Oh, wait…

That is all.

Trump Speaks the Truth, Media Goes Nuts, Dog Bites Man

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

When the President speaks the truth, the fake news media gets a huge case of the vapors.:  President Donald Trump (I never tire of typing those three glorious words) had this to say at the formal swearing-in ceremony for new Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh last night:

“On behalf of our nation, I want to apologize to Brett and the entire Kavanaugh family for the terrible pain and suffering you have been forced to endure,” Trump began. “Those who step forward to serve our country deserve a fair and dignified evaluation, not a campaign of political and personal destruction based on lies and deception. What happened to the Kavanaugh family violates every notion of fairness, decency, and due process. In our country, a man or a woman must always be presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.”

Naturally, given that none of our fake news outlets in the national #fakenews establishment media reported on any of the myriad outright lies told by Christine Ford in her smear of Justice Kavanaugh, they all cranked up their outrage machines immediately after the President made his remarks.  They must keep up the narrative they’ve established, after all.  Some things never change.

This is a learning moment.  Many of you who don’t really “get” Donald Trump wonder why he felt the need to make what you perceive to be such “combative” remarks last night, or why he chose to go after Ford’s obvious lying at his rally event in Tennessee last week.  Well, to understand why, just observe how the fake news media reacted to it, and how they uniformly covered for Ms. Ford throughout the entire weeks-long process.

Readers of the Campaign Update are extremely smart and oh-so-attractive people, the literal cream at the top of our society’s milkshake.  So you are exceedingly well-informed.  But millions of other Americans are not so lucky.  Tens of millions of our brethren and sistren (if we are allowed to even say that anymore under our new zillion-fake gender rules our fake media have helped establish) are not so lucky.  To the extent they consume “news”, these Americans get it from fake places like ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, the New York Times, the Washington Post and other big city newspapers who today get 95% of their content from one of those other outlets or the very biased Associated Press.

Thus, before the President went off on Ms. Ford last week, those millions of Americans had never heard a thing about the massive holes in her testimony or the outright lies she leveled against a man who had been through 6 prior exhaustive FBI background checks without so much as a jaywalking incident showing up on his record.  There were still millions of people treading water in that pool of fake media-fed ignorance last night.

So the President had two opportunities during which he was speaking live to at least some portion of the American public, and he took those opportunities to tell the truth to the American people.  Which of course is an act that always scandalizes a fake news media establishment whose overriding goal in life is to avoid the truth at all costs in favor of the Democrat Party’s preferred narrative.

Gosh, nobody could’ve seen this one coming…oh, wait…:

I’ve gotten quite a few notes again in the past week asking what I’m thinking about the outcome of the midterms.  Honestly, my outlook hasn’t changed since January:  The Democrats will gain 10-15 net seats in the House, but not get to a majority, and the Republicans will gain 4-5 net seats in the Senate.  And right on cue, the same pollsters who were chanting “blue wave, blue wave, blue wave” back in January are now starting to sound the alarm to their favored Democrats that gosh, maybe, just maybe, that might not all be coming about for them.

If this pattern sounds familiar, I refer you back to the 2016 elections, in which we saw the exact same pattern take place.

Because, as we discussed here a few weeks back, neither the media or the pollsters have figured out exactly who the “Trump voters” are, and have real no desire to do so.

Oh, hey, isn’t that the guy the fake news media all told us was getting fired two weeks ago? – Why yes, yes, it was.  It was Rod Rosenstein, our perpetually oily Deputy Attorney General, not only still in his job but climbing up the steps to board Air Force One along with Chief of Staff John Kelly.  That’s right – the very same John Kelly to whom your fake news media assured you Rosenstein was headed over to the White House to hand his formal resignation (in order to spare himself the indignity of being fired) two weeks ago today.

At an impromptu press conference earlier in the day, President Trump appeared to put to rest any thought that Rosenstein was about to be fired, telling reporters “We actually get along. I’m not making any changes. You’d be the first to know.”

So, what’s going on here?  Why is the President seemingly protecting the guy who conspired with James Comey to set their big buddy Robert Mueller up as Special Counsel last year?  I think the obvious answer is that the President now has Rosenstein right where he wants him.

Think about it:  What has been happening the last few weeks?  The systematic winding down of the Mueller investigation.  Why is that happening?  Well, the obvious answer is that, other than a tax fraud case from a decade ago against Paul Manafort and several process crimes that have nothing to do with the Special Counsel’s supposed focus on the Democrat/media-invented “Russia Collusion” fantasy, there is no “there” there.

But there is a second big answer that is becoming increasingly apparent with each passing day:  Rosenstein and Mueller really, really, really, REALLY do not want the FISA-related documents the President ordered to be declassified three weeks ago to be made public.  I keep reading some conservative writers speculating that Rosenstein is opposing the declassification effort to “protect the institutions”, i.e., the DOJ and the FBI, which would no doubt be embarrassed by the full revelation of the crimes that were being committed in obtaining those fraudulent FISA warrants to spy on the Trump Campaign, the Trump Transition Team, and the Trump presidency.

But at this point it seems more and more obvious that Rosenstein isn’t just protecting his institutions, he’s protecting himself.  After all, he affixed his signature to at least one of those four FISA warrants, a reality that keeps somehow getting lost in the “reporting” that goes on in our fake news media.

At this point, after having the first 21 months of his Administration being held hostage to the dark cloud of all these false allegations, I think President Trump would be perfectly happy to keep Rosenstein in place until Mueller has wrapped up his Spanish Inquisition-style “investigation”, and wait until the mid-term elections have come and gone before taking final action to clean out the participants in the anti-Trump cabal who remain at DOJ and the FBI even today.

So, when the President says that he and Rosenstein “get along” just fine these days, you should believe him.  Because when Donald Trump says he’s getting along just fine with someone, that means he’s getting along with that person on his own terms.

You don’t have to believe me on that – you can go read his book.

That is all.

OMG, Y’all, Taylor Swift is all, Like, Political and Stuff Now

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

OMG, you guys, Taylor’s, like, terrified of Marsha Blackburn and stuff.:  Pop singer Taylor Swift came out of the political closet on Sunday, endorsing two Democrats running for governor and U.S. senator in Tennessee.  Which is just, like, totally shocking and even maybe, like, surprising or something, you know?  I mean, reeeeaaaalllly.

Perhaps noting the irony of endorsing two old white guys when a woman is running in the Senate race on the GOP side, Swift’s publicists wrote this tidy quote for her to recite:  “As much as I have in the past and would like to continue voting for women in office, I cannot support Marsha Blackburn,” Swift wrote, elaborating that “her voting record in Congress appalls and terrifies me.”

Because, you know, Marsha Blackburn is for all that scary stuff like letting babies be born alive, protecting the second amendment to the constitution and trying to exert some semblance of control on federal spending.  Scary stuff like that.

OMG, Taylor’s, like, so totally intellectual and like, deep and stuff, you guys.  No word yet if all the SJWs and other leftist freaks to whom she was appealing will now attack her for the fact that the Dem she endorsed for Governor, the cravenly dishonest Phil Bredeson, said on Friday that he would have voted to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court (Pro tip:  that’s a lie), but it seems likely.

*sigh*

Well, we can scratch her off the list of potential Supreme Court nominees. – Right after her fake news channel spent weeks telling us all that Brett Kavanaugh can’t possibly serve on the Supreme Court because he drank too much in high school, CNN’s Taylor Swift-like fake reporter Caitlin Collins was revealed to have sent some decidedly homophoby-sounding tweets when she was in college.

Of course, everyone at CNN circled the wagons around one of their own, abandoning the puritanish stance they’d taken on Kavanaugh and informing their viewers that Ms. Collins’ unfortunate Twittering was just the hijinks of a poor college girl who didn’t know any better and she’s all, like, changed and other touchy-feely stuff now.

For her part, Collins apologized in a Tweet, because of course she did:

Hey, maybe she can get Taylor Swift to endorse her apology.  That seems to carry a lot of weight with the “in” crowd.

This was not his finest hour. – Speaking of SJWs and other leftist freaks, Former Astronaut Scott Kelly issued an apology to all of them who flooded his Twitter feed with nasty, obscene messages after Kelly had quoted and praised… wait for it…Winston Churchill in a tweet earlier in the day.  I swear I don’t make this stuff up.:

For the record, were it not for Sir Winston’s incredible leadership and courage during World War II, we’d all be speaking German and shouting “sieg heil!” to some Nazi dictator every day.  But, of course, with the nitwits in the American left now starting to emulate the tactics employed by the Nazis during the 1930s, the ravages of political correctness dictate that former astronauts can’t acknowledge such truths anymore, as Mr. Kelly’s pathetic apology clearly shows.

“Did not mean to offend by quoting Churchill.” *sigh*.  I promise never to offend my readers again by quoting Scott Kelly.

Shame on you, Ruth. – In his first day on the job, Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh hired an African American law clerk.  Why is this significant?  Because Justice Kavanaugh, with that single hiring, has now hired exactly the same number of African Americans as Ruth Bader Ginsburg has employed during her 25 years on the Supreme Court and her 13 years on the DC Circuit Court of Appeals before that.

So, to put this in simple terms that even leftists can comprehend:

Ginsburg – 38 years, 1 black law clerk.

Kavanaugh – 1 day, 1 black law clerk.

The more you know.

Hey, found those WMDs yet, Colin? – Not to be overshadowed by some pop star, Colin Powell, whose dishonesty as UN Ambassador helped involve the U.S in a 17-year war in Afghanistan and a decade-long debacle in Iraq, somehow feels that he enjoys the moral authority to go off on President Donald Trump and his foreign policy.  The unbridled hubris of this man is truly breathtaking.

From our Once You’ve Seen This You Can Never Un-See It file…:

Hey, at least the Pantsuit Princess didn’t wear one of her favorite hospital gowns to Octoberfest, but what in the hell is Slick Willie thinking?

“Go on, take the money and run…”

So, when you’ve just made a cool $1.5 – $2 mil in a couple of GoFundMe accounts that were funded by a bunch of suckers who thought they were helping with your legal bills, but your lawyers publicly swore to the Senate Judiciary Committee that they were working for free, it’s time to just close up shop and ride off into the sunset, right?

Right.

Why we Must #NeverTrust #NeverTrumpers Again

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

For all you snowflakes, SJWs and just plain goofy leftists out there…:  The fakenewsers at The Huffington Post courteously published a piece on Saturday conveying 12 things all you pathetic losers out there can do to sooth yourselves in the wake of the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation.  Those helpful tips include “Practice Deep Breathing,” “Take a Break From Social Media (a wonderful bit of advice that none of these people will take)”, and the capper, “Limit Alcohol Consumption,” which seems like a really great idea for these people to stick with in any event.

No word if the HuffPo was also offering safe spaces for its demented readers at its headquarters, but it seems likely.  I swear I don’t make this stuff up.  Who could?

Found on my Twitter feed this morning:

And this little gem from last night:

Brit Hume had a great smackdown for deranged Kathy Griffin here:

Hilarious.

All the #NeverTrump nitwits say “No, because muh principles, or something!”:

This guy asks a great question on Twitter, but he won’t like the answer he gets back…

All the readers of The Campaign Update are smart and attractive people, so you all are no doubt horrified at the thought of what would have happened to the Supreme Court had the 2016 election turned out differently.  The Scalia vacancy would have been immediately filled by Merrick Garland – or someone worse – upon the coronation of the Pantsuit Princess, and the Kennedy vacancy would have been filled by some nitwit from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals or the ACLU, in all likelihood.

That outcome would have literally ended our constitutional democracy for all intents and purposes.  The First, Second, Fourth, Fifth and Tenth amendments would have come under withering assault in the courts, and would have been rendered meaningless within a few years.  The Interstate Commerce Clause would have evaporated, and private property rights would have followed shortly.

People with common sense should never let themselves forget the heinous actions of the mindless #NeverTrump, fake conservatives among us.  We should always remember that people like Bill Kristol and George Will and S.E. Cupp and Stephen Hayes and Jennifer Rubin and Ross Douthat and Jonah Goldberg and Brett Stephens and the entire staffs at the Weekly Standard and the National Review (with a couple of notable exceptions) literally advocated that our nation would be better off with the Fainting Felon as our president.  These people all advised their readers to vote for a career criminal, the person who told us in no uncertain terms that her presidency would simply be a continuation of the Obama presidency, to become our 45th President instead of Donald Trump.

Never forget #NeverTrump, because these people, who have held themselves out to be “conservatives” to their duped audiences for many years, literally advocated for the condemnation of our children and their children to live in a United States of America that would irreversibly become a European-style quasi-socialist quasi-democracy.  It was forgivable – even understandable – for this clan of fake conservatives to favor other Republicans for the GOP nomination – hell, I even did that for awhile.  But these people can never be forgiven for this and can never be trusted by any thinking person again for their outright support of the Grasping Grifter.

Yes, I am aware that most of the people I named above and many more #NeverTrump nitwits did the right thing and strongly condemned the smearing of Kavanaugh and those who perpetrated it.  Sorry, that’s not enough, and really, nothing they do can ever change what they did in 2016.  Nothing can ever remove the stain of advocating the election of the Coughing Crook from their reputations.

Simply put, they revealed their true nature at that time as people who can never be trusted or relied upon to protect the rights of Americans again.  It’s like that stain that’s been dried into your favorite t-shirt:  It’s just not ever coming out, no matter what you do.

So #NeverTrust #NeverTrump again.

That is all.

Week in Review: The Kavanaugh Battle is Won but the War Rages on

Today’s Campaign Update – Week in Review

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Well, the deal is done.  Every senator voted the way they had previously signaled they would today, and Judge Brett Kavanaugh will now become Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, and there’s not a damn thing the Democrats, the fake news media or their George Soros-funded professional activist proxy groups can do about it.

But make no mistake about it: these depraved, demented and disgraceful Democrats and their willing tools in the U.S. news media are not going to go softly into that good night where this Supreme Court fight is concerned.  They fully expected their strategy here to work, that Kavanaugh would willingly pull himself from consideration when faced with an array of accusers leveling all sorts of false attacks on his character, his family and his life.  Surely, they believed, he would concede rather than put his family through such a trial by fire, and President Trump would be relieved to have him do so.

Boy, did they miscalculate.  President Trump is not a quitter, and neither, we discovered, is Brett Kavanaugh.  Even more, we also found out that Senate Republicans like Lindsey Graham, Mitch McConnell and even Susan Collins were no longer willing to just shrink away in the name of some fool’s notion of Senate “comity” and surrender like they had almost always done in the past.

But the Democrats will continue pounding on the Kavnaugh issue at least through Election Day, and will no doubt attempt to mount an impeachment fight should they end up gaining a majority in the House of Representatives.  Because for them, this is and always has been about nothing but preserving Roe v. Wade, the most baseless decision ever issued by the U.S. Supreme Court, in the law, and thus preserving abortion on demand.

Going into this fight, they really believed they could stop Kavanaugh, win a majority in the House and the Senate (which is not going to happen), and force President Trump nominate a compromise candidate for the seat, maybe even Merrick Garland.  They truly believed they could achieve this.  That’s how depraved their minds really are.

Now, they’ve lost on Kavanaugh, have basically no chance of winning a majority in the Senate, and see their advantage in House races rapidly slipping away. They also see that Ruth Bader Ginsberg can’t even hold her head up or get two cogent sentences out of her mouth anymore, meaning that if something radical is not done, the new 5-4 originalist advantage on the Court could soon become a 6-3 advantage, from which they could probably never recover.

So, being the soulless, demented ghouls that they are,  they will now attempt to make the mid-term elections a referendum on soon-to-be-Justice Kavanaugh and plan to mount an impeachment war on him should they win the House.  Thus, the battle is won, but the war goes on.

All that having been said, let’s get to the Campaign Update Week in Review, this time in the form of the week’s biggest losers and winners:

LOOOOOOOOOOOOSERS:

Chuck Schumer – The Senate Minority Leader said this in his speech on Saturday: “Let the confirmation process for Judge Kavanaugh be recorded as a sorry epilogue to the brazen theft of Justice Scalia’s seat.” The fact is that Senate Republicans blocked Merrick Garland’s nomination by following a precedent Schumer himself had loudly advocated, and were able to confirm Kavanaugh with just 50 votes thanks to the effort led by Schumer and Harry Reid to eliminate the filibuster on judicial nominations.  Little Chucky was hoist on his on petard, and it could not have happened to a nicer guy.

The Creepy Porn Lawyer – Came up with not one, but two “clients” whose claims were so outrageously false that even the fakenewsers at CNN and MSNBC did their best to ignore them.

The Fake News Media – The “reporting” on the Kavanaugh process was so despicably one-sided that the newsfakers even lost Morning Joe and Mika.  That’s quite an accomplishment.

Democrat Senate candidates in “Red” states – Heidi Heitcamp went to bed a week ago ahead in her race against Republican Kevin Cramer, and woke up Wednesday morning trailing by 12 points.  Claire McCaskill now finds herself down by 8 in Missouri.  Other Dems running in red states saw similar shifts in their poll numbers as normal Americans became increasingly enraged by their party’s obvious smear job on Kavanaugh.

Dianne Feinstein – Revealed herself to the entire nation as a snake who cannot be trusted with power.  GOP Senate candidates should be using her in their campaign ads.

Lisa Murkowski – Looked small and petty in her speech opposing Kavanaugh on absurdly flimsy grounds.  Set herself up to be primaried by a real Republican when she’s up for re-election in 2022.

Jeff Flake – for obvious reasons that I have previously detailed and really don’t want to talk about anymore.

Cory Booker – Turned himself into a running joke with his Spartacus moment.

Leftist Protesters – this tweet came across my feed as I was typing up this Review:

That’s just all kinds of awesome.

WINNERS:

The American People – The vote to confirm Kavanaugh is a victory for the presumption of innocence, the rights of the accused, the rules of evidence and just plain common sense.

Christine Ford – Yes, she’s been exposed as a mendacious fraud, a practiced liar who conspired with an array of lawyers, current and ex-FBI agents and despicable reporters to smear a good man, but Ms. Ford will clear $1.5 to $2 million from her various GoFundMe accounts and will now be elevated as a hero of the American left, a la Anita Hill. She’ll make millions in speaking fees, be awarded pretty much whatever political job she wants, and will no doubt be deified in a Hollywood film staring Meryl Streep within a year.

Lindsey Graham – As I detailed in the Campaign Update last Friday, Graham’s dramatic speech during the Ford/Kavanaugh hearing literally changed the course of history, and will forever change for the better the way he is regarded by the GOP voter base.

Susan Collins – Her speech on Friday was pitch perfect, soundly based in process, tradition and law, and will be remembered in the history books as the moment that sealed this deal.  She is up for re-election in 2020 in a state that is evenly divided on this matter, so her determination to do the right thing and give that speech was a true profile in political courage.

Mitch McConnell – His stewardship of the Senate process this week was glorious.  Made several floor speeches that demonstrated he has learned a lot from Donald Trump on how to deal forcefully with the Democrats and their media slaves.

[EDIT]  Chuck Grassley – How could I forget the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee?  Geez.  As a reader points out, “Notwithstanding your dislike of him supporting ethanol, you forgot Chuck Grassley in the winners list. He played a masterful game to even get it to the full senate for debate.”  True story.

Brett Kavanaugh and Donald Trump – for obvious reasons.

Oh, yeah, and the American economy – The unemployment rate fell to 3.7%, the lowest since 1969, a fact our despicable news media studiously ignored.

The Los Angeles Dodgers – have played four games this week, and given up just 2 runs, ringing up three shutouts.  Clayton Kershaw pitched such a great game Friday night that he received a standing ovation from Sandy Koufax.  It don’t get no better than that, folks.

The Texas Longhorns – My boys in Burnt Orange blew a 45-24 lead to the Oklahoma Sooners in a span of 7 minutes in the 4th quarter, then came back and kicked a field goal with 9 seconds remaining to eke out a 48-45 victory in the nation’s most intense college football rivalry.

God Bless America.

That is all.

Big Winners in the Kavanaugh Fight: The American Voters

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Democrats Friday morning:  Believe the women!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Normal people:  Ok, well, Susan Collins just spent an hour making a very compelling case for why Judge Kavanaugh should be confirmed, so…

Democrats Friday afternoon:  NO, NOT HER!!!! YOU CAN’T BELIEVE HER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*sigh*…

What happens when the GOP surrender caucus doesn’t surrender? – You end up getting a Supreme Court justice confirmed.

Jeff Flake didn’t have much to say all day as he did a good job of avoiding protesters, reporters and presumably elevators, but Senator Susan Collins of Maine had much to say, and what she had to say clinched the vote in favor of confirmation.  It was a magnificent speech that laid out all the reasons why Judge Kavanaugh is supremely qualified for this role, and why his opponents had utterly failed to make any legitimate case against him.

Many who lack historic perspective called Collins’ speech a “throwback” to a time when the Senate was, as its traditionalists like to pretend, “the greatest deliberative body on earth,” but that is a lot of nonsense.  The truth is that the U.S. Senate has alway been a vile and nasty place filled with vile and nasty people, though I will admit that the Democrats made sure it became far more vile and nasty than normal during the course of this confirmation process.

Sadly for the people of Alaska, Senator Lisa Murkowski made her own floor speech later in the day, looking small and petty in comparison to Collins as she ended up trying to justify her “no” vote on some ill-defined concern that Kavanaugh might rule against her state’s Native Americans.  This is also nonsense – Murkowski’s political calculation here is all about her support for abortion on demand, and everyone knows it.

But even Murkowski had one redeeming moment, stating that, in the final confirmation vote today, she had agreed to vote “present” as a gesture of collegiality with Montana’s Steve Daines, who will now be able to fly to his home state and walk his daughter down the aisle at her wedding.

So, the Surrender Caucus didn’t surrender, and the Senate will end up doing the right thing at the end of a very sad and tawdry process for America.  But the damage by the Democrats and to the Democrats has been done, and millions of American voters have had their eyes opened to that party’s despicable true nature.  They will pay for their destructive and vicious tactics at the polls this November and in 2020.

Um…can we, like, change our minds now that we’re gonna lose? – Rumors were flying Friday evening that some of the Democrat Senators whose re-elections are in jeopardy were meeting to try to make a deal to change their “noes” on Friday’s cloture vote to “yes’s” on today’s confirmation vote.  Supposedly, this includes North Dakota’s Heidi Heitcamp, Indiana’s Joe Donnelly, Missouri’s Claire McCaskill, Montana’s Jon Tester and Florida’s Bill Nelson.

Should they do that, it would just demonstrate the typical Democrat utter contempt for the intelligence of voters.  Democrats rely on their belief that the people inclined to vote for them are complete morons, and all to often, they end up being right.  But in this instance, their party has already spent the last month demonizing this man as the second coming of Satan, pounding that message home across the nation’s TV screens seemingly 24 hours a day.

That’s a real hard thing to now just go back from.  You can’t just tell your support base that “Brett Kavanaugh is a violent drunk gang rapist!” on Friday and then wake up Saturday and say “Ok, well, but he’s fully qualified to sit on the Supreme Court!”.  Even the dimmest bulbs in the Democrat light fixture are going to have a hard time rewarding them for that sort of 180 degree turn.

Heitcamp and McCaskill are probably done in any event, so don’t expect a shift from them.  Donnelly, Tester and Nelson?  They’re probably craven and desperate enough to give it a try.  Regardless, their votes don’t matter at the end of the day, so whatevs, dudes.

Winners and losers… – I’ll do a listing of the week’s winners and losers in the Campaign Update Week In Review later day, or possibly tomorrow if the voting runs into the evening, but there is one yuuuuuuuuge winner in all of this that everyone needs to acknowledge: the American voter.  Because the American voter rose up in 2016 and decided to change the course of American history.

As voters went to the polls on November 8, 2016, our country was rapidly slouching towards becoming just another dying, European-style quasi-socialist, quas-democracy.  Every institution of the federal government, from the FBI to the DOJ, the state department to the EPA, the IRS to the National Security Council and on and on, had been utterly corrupted by eight years of Barack Obama.  Even the nation’s courts have been corrupted, as all the absurd rulings we’ve seen out of Obama-appointed judges over the last two years have demonstrated clearly.  The elevation of Hillary Clinton to the presidency would have ensured the completion of that trajectory, and the corruption would have only accelerated and ultimately become irreversible.

But just as the GOP Surrender Caucus rose up and refused to surrender on Friday, millions of voters all the “experts” told us would surely either stay home or vote for Clinton rose up, went to the polls, and cast a vote for real, radical change.  And boy, has Donald Trump given us that over the last two years.

Through just 20 months in office, President Donald Trump (I never tired of typing those three glorious words) has done away with about 90% of the wholly un-American Obama legacy, reasserted American influence and power across the globe, reduced ISIS to rubble and Islamic terrorism to more a nuisance than a security threat.

And later today, barring some last-minute seismic event, he will have achieved what Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and both George Bushes could not:  a 5-4 constitutional originalist majority on the U.S. Supreme Court.

Perhaps even more importantly, President Trump has provided an example that appears to be finally sinking in among his GOP colleagues:  That when you are viciously attacked by the depraved Democrats, the proper response is not to give them the “olive branch”, i.e., surrender they seek, but to fight back with everything you’ve got.

Make no mistake about it:  Donald Trump is the only GOP President in modern times who would have stuck with Judge Kavanaugh through this terrible, despicable assault on his character.  Even Reagan pulled the plug on Bob Bork when he was under similar duress.  The Bushes?  Please.

You, the American voters, gave us this indispensable man.  You, the American voters, created the victory that should take place this afternoon.

So pat yourselves on the back, voters, because you deserve it.  You made this.

That is all.

The GOP Surrender Caucus Holds The Fate of the Mid-terms in its Hands

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Man, nobody could’ve seen this one coming. Oh, wait… – If it sometimes seems to you that literally nothing the “Climate Change” scammers claim ever turns out to be true, that just means you are a keen observer of actual outcomes.

For our latest example, I bring you these findings from a new study conducted by researchers at…wait for it…HARVARD!:

“In two papers — published today in the journals Environmental Research Letters and Joule — Harvard University researchers find that the transition to wind or solar power in the U.S. would require five to 20 times more land than previously thought, and, if such large-scale wind farms were built, would warm average surface temperatures over the continental U.S. by 0.24 degrees Celsius.”

Here’s another problem with wind power that states like Texas and Kansas, that are home to an array of huge wind farms that are now moving into the final years of their useful lives, are about to face:  None of these states have regulations on their books governing the retirement, dismantling and disposal of those gigantic windmills.  That’s right – unless the landowners who leased their lands had the foresight to place such requirements in their lease agreements, these 200 to 700 ft. tall eyesores could simply be left standing to rot away if the wind companies don’t want to bear the expense of removing them.

The more you know about this stuff, the less attractive it becomes, which of course is why your fake news media has desperately avoided telling you about these inconvenient truths.

Just a few weeks ago, they all said this was tantamount to treason. – Everyone does realize that the Republicans have now snookered the Democrats into demonizing the FBI, right?  The ability of these people to literally take a 180 degree turn in their rhetoric without giving it a second thought is truly breathtaking.  And hilarious.  And demented.

And now, a word from our Why You Should Be Following @GDBlackmon on Twitter sponsors:

You keep using that term.  I don’t think you know what it means. – One of the big news stories that the fake news media studiously ignored on Thursday was the fact that no fewer than 8 people who were in college in the Maryland area during the 1980s have written letters to inform the Senate that “The Devil’s Triangle” reference in Judge Brett Kavanaugh does indeed refer to a drinking game similar to the game of “quarters.”

Yes, friends, it turns out that the entire Democrat Senate caucus – indeed, the entirety of the depraved American Left – got duped by a fake definition of the term that someone had placed in the online “American Urban Dictionary” just days before Christine Ford testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee last week.  Remember that this entire controversy was generated by a brief reference in Judge Kavanaugh’s high school yearbook, and that no fewer than three Democrat committee members – including Feinstein and Leahy – spent their time questioning Kavanaugh on it during the hearing on national freakin’ television.

My goodness.  This is the greatest troll in the history of trolls.

Oh, hey, good of you to give us a head’s up, Steve! – This little bit of news came through at about 7:00 ET last night:

But don’t panic – a few hours after the news broke, Sen. Daines issued a statement in which he says he will be around to vote on Saturday no matter what, which presumably means his poor daughter will have to delay her nuptuals until he can fly back to Montana late in the day on Saturday.

Being the father of a married daughter myself, I admire Sen. Daines for his determination to walk his own daughter down the aisle – it’s one of the biggest moments in any Dad’s life.  But you can imagine the panic among the GOP leadership in the Senate when they learned of Daines’s potential conflict, since they only have a one-vote margin on this confirmation, and the party’s Surrender Caucus of Jeff Flake, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski all remain silent as of this writing on how they plan to vote.

While these fake Republicans dither, their ideological equals on the Democrat side of the aisle are deciding en masse to risk their re-elections by opposing the nomination.  North Dakota’s Heidi Heitcamp woke up Thursday morning to the reality that she’s 12 points down in the latest poll, and just gave up.  Indiana’s Joe Donnelly and Missouri’s Claire McCaskill, both locked in nip and tuck races in their states, had announced their opposition earlier in the week.  Those three seats will all most likely end up becoming GOP gains in November as a result of those decisions.

That’s if – and it remains a big “if” this morning – these three Republican squishes do the right thing and vote to confirm Kavanaugh.  If any two of them do the wrong thing and vote against, then all bets are off.  A win on this nomination will energize the GOP voter base even more than it already has been, but a loss will certainly cause many otherwise-Republican voters to toss up their hands, say “screw ’em” and just stay home.

These next two days are, as President Donald Trump would say, Yuuuuuuuuuge.

That is all.

The Mueller Smear is Winding Down

The Evening Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Have you noticed you haven’t heard much about “Russia Collusion” lately? –  Come to think of it, you have noticed that, right?

Right.  Over the past month, the fake news stories on the front pages of the New York Times and the Washington Post detailing tales from always unidentified “sources” about how Special Counsel Robert Mueller is “closing in on Donald Trump,” or how some Mueller action is “bad news for Donald Trump,” or how Mueller’s indictments of another dozen or so Russian ham sandwiches spells “the beginning of the end for Donald Trump” have suddenly disappeared.

To some extent that has been because of all the hysteria surrounding the latest Democrat/media mounted smear, this time of Judge Brett Kavanaugh, but that’s far from the only reason.

Know what the other reason – the main reason – for this sudden lack of fake reporting on the Mueller investigation is?  Simple:  It’s because  Mueller is continuing to wind his Russia Collusion smear down.

Today, we saw two big indicators that this is the case:

  • This story at the extremely fake The Hill website, detailing the fact that two more Clinton/Obama hack lawyers have resigned from Mueller’s staff; and
  • The 15,000 word New York Times #fakenews story alleging all manner of tax evasion and tax fraud on Trump’s part back in the 1990s.

Trust me, these two stories are intimately tied to one another.

Think about the Mueller thing for a minute:  This makes five hack lawyers who have left his staff since July.  Lawyers don’t leave a project like the Special Counsel’s office if there is a ton of work left to be done.  Lawyers start bailing out of these things like this when the work starts winding down, along with the billable hours.

Now combine the rapidly diminishing staff with the fact that Mueller agreed a few weeks ago to accept written answers from the White House on the whole Russia Collusion fairy tale, and has since been making noises about being reluctant to really pursue the mounting of what would be a hopeless obstruction of justice case over the firing of James Comey, and what are you left with?  You’re left with a sinking ship from which these hack lawyers are looking to bail out for greener, more billable pastures.

Seeing the Democrat/media-invented Russia Collusion fantasy play winding down and the Democrat/media-mounted smear of Judge Kavanaugh falling apart, into the breach plunges the New York Times with its year-long “investigation” of the Trump family’s financial dealings during the last century.  If you believe the timing of this is purely coincidental, please leave me your phone number in the comments section below because I have some prime, unsaleable property out in West Texas I want to talk with you about.

Obviously, the Times has been holding this story for breaking at exactly the “right” time, since the collapse of one smear always necessitates the mounting of another out there in the fake news world they occupy.

Of course, the fatal flaw in the Times’ latest smear is obvious:  All of the financial transactions about which their fake journalists and editors are alleging fraud were exhaustively audited in real time by not only the IRS but also by the relevant state tax departments and found, with minor adjustments, to be fully in compliance with the state and federal tax laws.

But hey, smears don’t have to be true – if they did, Brett Kavanaugh would have been confirmed to the Supreme Court and already sworn in.  No, a Democrat/media smear merely has to be plausible enough for a few days to create the desired level of outrage among the Democrat Party’s demented, hopelessly ignorant far-left voter base.  When viewed through that outrage lens, the Times story will no doubt produce the desired effect, at least for awhile.

But viewed through the lens of reality, that story plus the news of the latest staff departures means the Mueller investigation is rapidly winding down, and the Democrats and their media toadies are casting about for their next line of attack on President Trump.  The Times tax story will have a very short shelf life, so expect another fake smear to be mounted in about a week.

Just another day in Trump Derangement Syndrome America.

That is all.

The Participants in the Kavanaugh Smear Must be Punished

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Hey, remember 8 days ago, when Rod Rosenstein was going to be fired?  When he had resigned?  When he had, according to our fake news media, verbally resigned no fewer than five times?  Yeah, those were good times, huh?

Hey, remember when President Trump ordered the declassification of a bunch of documents that have been requested various congressional committees and stonewalled for more than a year by the DOJ and the FBI?  That was, like, 3 weeks ago?  Right?

Hey, remember when every liberal/leftist/socialist/commie in America was telling us that, if you criticize the FBI, you’re committing, like, treason or something?  Yeah, what was that – last month?

Hey, remember when everybody in Washington, DC and your fake news media was telling you how oh, so credible and stuff Ms. Christine Ford was?  That was last Thursday, 6 short days ago.

As of this morning, Ms. Ford’s fairy tale has fallen completely apart.  It turns out that, not only is there no one out there who can verify a single shred of it, but there are people out there who have been able to completely debunk pretty much all of it.  It turns out that Ms. Ford is not just a fabricator, but, if what her former boyfriend attests to in a sworn statement supplied yesterday to the Senate Judiciary Committee, she may even be a bit of a pro at it:

Oh, my.  Oh, my, my, my.  During her testimony, Ms. Ford was asked not once, but three times if she had ever coached anyone about how to take a polygraph test, and every time she replied either “no” or “never.”

Here are other aspects of her story we now know to be completely untrue:

  • She outright lied several times about her interactions with despicable Sen. Dianne Feinstein and her staff.
  • She claimed to have added a new room and second exit to her home in 2012, because of her “claustrophobia” or something.  California records prove that that room and exit were actually added in 2008, and the space was subsequently used for an office and was even rented out to others from time to time.
  • She claimed to have a terrible fear of flying and held up the work of the Judiciary Committee for an entire week using this excuse.  We now know she is in fact a world traveler who flies all the time.
  • She claimed her polygraph test taken in August was very intrusive with the ex-FBI agent who conducted it asking her endless questions about her entire life.  The ex-agent himself says he asked her two questions.
  • She claimed she had no knowledge of the Committee’s offer to fly staff out to California to interview her when she lied about her fear of flying.  Either she or her scumbag lawyers are lying about that.

Speaking of her scumbag lawyers:  Despite all this now-public knowledge about these and other apparent lies Ms. Ford emitted last Thursday in her feigned, trembly 12 year-old valley girl voice, those lawyers sent an angry letter over to Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley last night demanding that their client be interviewed by the FBI yet again before its investigation is shut down:

This is breathtaking malpractice.  It isn’t enough that her testimony has been demonstrated to contain multiple fabrications or that it does not line up with the letter she sent to Senator Feinstein; Now, her own lawyers want her to be formally interviewed by the FBI, creating yet another opportunity for her to perjure herself?

Whatever else happens as this disgusting confirmation fiasco created by the Democrats and their toadies in the fake news media, this behavior must be punished.  All three women who have blatantly, shamelessly lied about Judge Kavanaugh and all of their lawyers – including the Creepy Porn Lawyer – must be punished for putting our country through this disgrace.  Senator Feinstein and her staff should also be put through the wringer for their disgusting roles in this.

Sadly, the Republicans will most likely just confirm Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court and let it all go, because they get awful advice from their communications and political advisors, and because most of them are afraid of their own shadows.  We can hold out hope that the few who have shown actual courage through this process – like Lindsey Graham and Grassley – will force ethics investigations of Feinstein, Sen. Chris Coons, Sen. Kamala Harris and others who have obviously coordinated efforts with the accusers and various leftist radical groups, and pound on the Justice Department to pursue criminal actions against the accusers and their lawyers.  But the Republican pattern has always been just let stuff like this go once they’ve won the political battle at hand.

If that happens in this instance, it will forever be a stain on all of them.  Because this wasn’t just a dirty political fight, it is in fact a coordinated effort by the Democrats, their leftist proxy groups and their fake news media toadies to destroy a good man’s life and irrevocably corrupt the confirmation process for Supreme Court justices.  Even worse, it is an effort to forever destroy the presumption of innocence and rights of the accused guaranteed in our constitution, if the accuser is a woman and the accused is a man.  If these people walk away from this unscathed and unpunished, they will only be emboldened to do it all again in the future.

One thing we know for sure, Grassley’s Chief of Staff, Mike Davis, is sick and tired of all of it.  Here is an actual email exchange he had with the Creepy Porn Lawyer on Tuesday:

That’s just 99 varieties of awesome.  And hilarious.

That is all.

The Democrat/Media Smear Keeps Evolving and Growing More Absurd

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

The Irish Bob O’Rourke clean-up crew is working overtime these days… –  While Democrats on Capitol Hill in Washington are busy making up stories about what a terrible guy Judge Brett Kavanaugh was in high school and college, it turns out that the Democrat challenger to Ted Cruz for the senate seat in Texas really did have an extraordinarily misspent youth.

On Monday it was revealed that, at the age of 19, Irish Bob kept busy writing nasty reviews of Broadway musicals for his college newspaper, because of course he did.  In one of those reviews, he said that the actresses’ “only qualifications seem to be their phenomenally large breasts and tight buttocks.”

Now, if Irish Bob were a Republican, this noticing of young womens’ physiques would be turned into a week-long scandal of immense proportions.  The wailing from social justice warriors and virtue signaling from the #NeverTrump contingent at the National Review and the Weekly Standard alone would probably crash the New York Stock Exchange.

But Irish Bob is a Democrat, and because of that fact this got a posting on CNN’s website in an obvious effort by his campaign to get this pre-emptively into the public domain with a friendly media outlet to inoculate the candidate against any effort by his opponent to raise it.  Think of it as similar to you going to the local CVS to get a flu shot.

Just another example of your Democrat/fake news media axis of propaganda in action, folks.

ummm…don’t we need an FBI investigation on this?  If not, why not? – Lunatic Kavanaugh accuser Julie Swetnick, the client of the Creepy Porn Lawyer, was interviewed by some fake journalist at NBC on Monday.  During the course of the interview, she changed major, key parts of what she claimed in her sworn affidavit, meaning that she committed perjury in the document she filed with the Senate Judiciary Committee.

At about the same time she was being interviewed, President Donald Trump (I never tire of typing those three glorious words) was authorizing the FBI to go ahead and include Ms. Swetnick in their list of people to be interviewed this week.  She was left off of the initial list, presumably because everyone with functioning synapses in their cranial cavities knows she’s lying her creepy ass off, but the ongoing demands from Democrats to expand the investigation led the President to act accordingly.

What this means is that, thanks to the Democrats who are perfectly happy to toss this woman to the wolves to support their daily narrative, the FBI will now formally interview Ms. Swetnick under oath, and compare what she says in that interview with what she said in her affidavit and what she told NBC.  This nutjob is in a world of trouble, and her creepy lawyer should be as well for giving her such awful advice.

We interrupt this program for a little #Winning found Monday on Twitter:

Hey, y’all, Trump’s calendar from July, 1982 has been found!

C’mon, that’s funny.  Admit it.

The evolution of a Democrat smear.

  • Democrats Friday:  He’s a rapist!
  • Democrats Saturday:  He drank too much in college!
  • Democrats Sunday:  He was belligerent when he drank too much in college!
  • Democrats Monday:  He threw ice at some guy in a bar when he was in college!
  • Democrats Today:  [Turn page in narrative manual] He lied under oath!

Yes, friends, that is where we are going today – that he “lied” when trying to recall a bunch of stuff that happened – or didn’t happen – 36 years ago.  He “lied” because some leftwing college professor who hates his guts claims that he saw Kavanaugh pass out on several occasions, something Kavanaugh and many people who knew him at the time all deny.

He “lied” because some other guy claims he saw Kavanaugh get violently aggressive when drinking, a claim that Kavanaugh and many people who knew him at the time all deny.

My personal favorite, though, is this one you will see being shopped by the fake news media today:

Mr. Griffin, who is a producer at the execrable MSNBC, is all giddy because he thinks this amounts to “lying under oath.”  But even if what the “two friends” are saying is true, it is no such thing.

Before I go on, a little background:  I spent years doing expert testimony as part of my job.  I’ve been deposed under oath many times, and testified in both civil and criminal cases.  I fully understand the position Judge Kavanaugh was in last Friday.

He was asked when he first learned of Ms. Ramirez’s allegations.  If what the two “friends” are claiming is true, he apparently heard rumors they were coming sometime before the New Yorker irresponsibly ran with its unverified and unverifiable story.

But, the most honest answer to the question that was asked was that the first time he truly learned of the specific allegations Ms. Ramirez was making was when he – and everyone else – read the New Yorker online posting.  That moment was when he first learned of the specific details of what Ms. Ramirez was alleging.

There’s no “lie” there at all – he in fact gave the most direct and truthful answer to the question that was asked, and did not expand on that answer.  That is exactly what any witness is always instructed to do.  He wasn’t asked when he first heard rumors these allegations might be coming – he was asked when he first learned of them.  Had he been asked when he first heard the rumors, he would have no doubt given a different answer.  Not because he was lying, but because he was telling the absolute truth.

But you can’t expect leftwing fake journalists at NBC or anywhere else to understand any of this, or care about it even if they do.  They’re carrying the water for the approved Democrat narrative, and today’s narrative will be that Judge Kavanaugh “lied under oath.”

Once that fails, the narratives for Wednesday and Thursday will only become even more absurd. Because that’s how Democrat/media narratives always evolve.

That is all.

Trump Disrupts Democrat War on U.S. Workers With New NAFTA Deal

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Hey, remember when all the “experts” were telling you that President Donald Trump could not possibly successfully renegotiate the 25 year-old NAFTA deal? – Yeah, they were wrong about that, too.

The new name’s a little clumsy, but the deal is done, and the deal is much, much better for America’s workers, especially those in blue collar, farming and union jobs.  Hey, remember when those were the kind of jobs the Democrat Party used to at least pretend to care about?  Yeah, good times…

Today, as you absorb the no-doubt slanted news about this new trade agreement, remember that the very same “experts” who told you this could not be done are also telling you that Donald Trump will never, never, never, ever be able to really get the Crazy Little Fat Guy in North Korea to de-nuclearize the Korean Peninsula.  Do not be surprised when the successful completion of that effort is a major plank in Trump’s re-election campaign in 2020.

The Teenage Drama Queen gets a by-line in the New York Times, and boy is it a hoot. – Former FBI Director and current teenage drama queen James Comey penned an op/ed for the sad old New York Times on Sunday, because of course he did.  The most corrupt director the agency has ever had slammed the mounting of this week-long FBI investigation into all the absurd accusations directed at Judge Brett Kavanaugh, not be cause the charges are so obviously false, not because the Judge has already been the subject of 6 previous in-depth, open-ended FBI background checks, but because…wait for it…you can’t “put a shot clock” on an FBI investigation.

In other words, the very same corrupt, pathological liar who twice put a strict shot clock on the agency’s sham “investigation” into Hillary Clinton’s illegal email server has of course joined the Democrat chorus against the week-long time frame for this investigation that the Democrats agreed to just 3 days ago.  There are perfectly descriptive words for James Comey, but I just can’t use them here.

Sunday’s @GDBlackmon Twitter Deep Thought…

Hey, you know it’s true.

Meanwhile, in the Texas Senate Race… – Last Thursday, when it looked like the Senate would be held into session over the weekend to deal with the Kavanaugh nomination, Ted Cruz informed Irish Bob O’Rourke that he would not be able to make it to Houston for their scheduled debate early Sunday evening.  On Saturday morning, Cruz notified Irish Bob that he could in fact make it to Houston thanks to the idiotic machinations of Arizona Senator Jeff Flake, but Irish Bob declined, saying he now had made other “plans.”

So, what was Irish Bob doing at the very time the debate was supposed to be taking place?  Why, he was engaged in an hour-long Facebook Live session from his kitchen.

Obviously, Irish Bob still hasn’t figured out how he’s going to backtrack from his false denial of leaving the scene of the wreck he caused while driving drunk back in the 1990s.  Until he does, we probably won’t be seeing any more debates between the two Texas senate candidates.

Back to the Kavanaugh nomination process one more time. – So, the Democrat playbook for this week is now clear…

  • Agree to a limited FBI investigation to last no more than one week;
  • Spend the weekend wailing that the investigation is tooooooooooo liiiiiiiiimmmmittttteeeeeddddd!!!;
  • Find male “acquaintances” of Judge Kavanaugh from high school and college to tell Democrat media activists that the Judge, when a teenager, was a sloppy drunk;
  • Pretend it’s a really big deal that the FBI is questioning the second, obviously lying, female accuser;
  • Have the Dragon Lady from Hawaii all over TV claiming that the investigation is “falling apart” before it even gets started in earnest;
  • And then, late in the week – probably Wednesday night or sometime Thursday – have another female accuser crawl out of the woodwork with more false allegations; or
  • Maybe even have some leftwing activist parent of one of the kids Kavanaugh has coached in basketball over the years appear on CNN or MSNBC and accuse him of being a pedophile.

Or maybe both new accusations will come.  Remember that the Democrats’ favorite Saul Alinskly tactic is “projection,” i.e., accusing the Republicans of the exact behaviors of which they themselves are guilty.  Thus, accusations of pedophilia are pretty much inevitable, and indeed the leftists at USA Today already ran an op/ed implying that of Kavanaugh as an initial shot across the bow.

These people are demented, depraved and despicable, and nothing is beneath them.  To them, this is a war, literally.  It is a war not just on Judge Kavanaugh, not just on President Trump, not just on Republicans, but on all Americans who are not part of one of their aggrieved classes.  Frankly, it has even become a war on many of them – witness the bullying and booing of Kanye West that took place during his appearance on Saturday Night Live this past weekend.

This is not your father’s Democrat Party.  There are no moderates in that party anymore, no Scoop Jackson Democrats or even Lloyd Benson Democrats.  It is only possible to see their true nature with clear eyes when you accept the reality that there simply are no more decent people in the national Democrat Party today.  Not one.

These people are all about one thing:  The re-acquisition of power.  They will do literally anything to achieve that goal.  So buckle up, and don’t be surprised by the depravity to come this week.

That is all.

GoFundMe Accounts are the Democrats’ Latest Racket

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

A (spineless) man in his element. – If you’re into punishing yourself, tune into tonight’s “60 Minutes” on CBS, where the Amazing Man With No Spine, Jeff Flake, will appear in a joint interview with Democrat Senator Chris Coons.  There you will see a man truly in his element, sitting down and sharing talking points with a Democrat politician and a Democrat activist fake journalist from CBS.

Hey, who knows?  Maybe this is a job interview for Flake.  After all, the ratings for the CBS Evening News have been in the toilet for years now, and Flake couldn’t do any worse than the current anchor guy is doing.

As if to prove my point about where he is truly in his element, Flake also made a joint appearance with the slimy Coons on stage at something called the Global Citizen Festival, a music event organized and televised by the newsfakers at far-leftwing MSNBC.  There, in front of this mob of social justice warriors, snowflakes and disciples of George Soros, Coons of course hailed Flake as a “hero,” which is exactly what he is to these people.

What would you do for a cool $1 million? – #MeToo movement activists and their fake news media shills have spent the week castigating anyone who dares to question Christina Ford’s serial lying about Judge Kavanaugh by claiming “there’s nothing in it for her to come forward!”

Uh, well, it turns out there a ton of money “in it” for her to tell her tale, as two GoFundMe accounts set up in her name have now already raised more than $700,000 and will certainly top $1 million and much more before this coming week is out.  Now, these funds were ostensibly set up to pay for Ms. Ford’s legal costs, but her own lawyers testified under penalty of perjury to the Senate Judiciary Committee that they were in fact working “pro bono” for Ms. Ford, so this money is actually most likely going right into the witness’s pocket.

So, here’s a hypothetical: let’s say you’re a college professor knocking down no more than $150,000 per year, and someone comes to you and tells you that hey, you can make a million bucks by spending the next couple of months being prepped for testimony by some of the world’s greatest experts in training people how to lie on the witness stand, and then spending half a day in front of a congressional committee.  All of your expenses will be paid, and you’ll be set for life.  Would you do it?

If you hadn’t figured this out yet, the use of these GoFundMe accounts is the new Democrat racket – the new way they have landed on to bribe people for doing their bidding while avoiding the scrutiny of the IRS, the FBI and the Federal Election Commission.  Andrew McCabe, Peter Strzok, and several others have now profited handsomely from this racket, and it will continue unless and until these federal agencies get their acts together and start auditing where the money is coming from and for what purpose.

“Wait, me?  I didn’t do that.  Er, uh, we didn’t do that.  I don’t think…did we do that?  What?  Er, um, my staff tells me we didn’t do that.” – President Donald Trump (I still never tire of typing those three beautiful, gorgeous words) was in West Virginia campaigning for GOP senatorial candidate Patrick Morrisy and against Democrat snake Joe Manchin last night.  During his stemwinder (they’re always stemwinders at these events) he did a hilarious riff on evil Dianne Feinstein’s stammering non-denial denial when Chuck Grassley asked whether she or her staff had leaded Ms. Ford’s letter to the fake news media.

Here’s the link.  Trust me – you have got to watch this.  Too funny for words, and dead on.

Let’s close this Sunday morning tour de force with some examples why, if you aren’t following @GDBlackmon on Twitter, you are not having enough fun in life:

And finally, there’s this PG-13 rated little gem…

Lindsey Graham Just Changed the Course of History

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

He said, she said, Lindsey said.  Game over. – I’ve said this several times over the last year, ever since John McCain took ill and was forced to pretty much remove himself from the scene in the nation’s capital, but it bears repeating here:  It is absolutely amazing just how great Lindsey Graham has become now that he is free from the pernicious influence of John McCain.

It is not an overstatement to say that Lindsey Graham changed the course of history yesterday.  Not an overstatement at all.  Up to the point of his decimation of the Democrats on the Senate Judiciary Committee and his laying bare of their despicable scheme against Judge Brett Kavanaugh for all the world to see, it is very likely that Judge Kavanaugh did not have a single Democrat vote in his favor for confirmation, and he probably would have lost several Republicans as well.

Yes, Judge Kavanaugh had acquitted himself extremely well.  His passionate, emotional opening statement was perfect, a revelation of a man outraged at the coordinated assault the Democrats and their proxies like the Creepy Porn Lawyer had mounted on his character, his life and his family.  The obvious contempt for those senators that oozed from his pores as he answered their idiotic questions about his high school yearbook was wholly justified and reflected the righteous indignation and anger being felt on his behalf by tens of millions of ordinary Americans out here in Flyover Country at the despicable spectacle the Democrats had organized against him.

But to that point, the day was probably a draw.  Dr. Christine Ford had also done well enough in the morning to probably give cover for every Democrat senator – even those up for re-election in so-called “Red” states – to vote against this nomination, and had likely created enough doubt about Kavanaugh and his character to frighten wobbly-kneed Republicans like Susan Collins, Jeff Flake and Lisa Murkowski away.  Ms. Ford was obviously lying about many things, but her job in all of this was only to create confusion and doubt, and she had successfully done that.

Everything changed when Senator Graham, upon returning from a 15-minute break in the proceedings, insisted on taking the questioning away from Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell and exercise his own senatorial privilege.  Graham only asked a couple of questions of Judge Kavanaugh during his 5 minutes, spending the remainder of his time unleashing holy hell on his depraved Democrat “colleagues” and changing the tone of the entire afternoon.

Had a similar outburst come from any of the other GOP senators on the Committee, it would not have had much effect.  But coming as it did from Lindsey Graham, who sadly had largely wasted the past dozen years following the execrable RINO McCain around like a little puppy dog on a leash, pretending that the Democrats were just well-intentioned “colleagues” and that such a thing as “collegiality” still existed in the U.S. Senate, and helping McCain and the Ds push open-borders and other globalist policies, it was a visible shock to the Democrat system and to their propaganda wing in the fake news media.

From that point forward, the Democrat senators were obviously cowed and never laid a glove on Judge Kavanaugh.  Their focus on asking the Judge about the meaning of passages in his high school yearbook and endless calls for a man who has already been through no fewer than 6 FBI background checks to call for yet another one made them look like the silly, disengenuous jackasses they truly are.

Left at long last to his own devices, freed from the destructive influence of McCain, Lindsey Graham grew into his full potential as a leader, as a senator and as a man on Thursday.  He abandoned the ranks of the RINO placeholders in the U.S. Senate and, just in the nick of time, achieved greatness.

As a result, Judge Kavanaugh will receive a “do confirm” recommendation out of the Judiciary Committee today, probably along party line votes.  After the senate spends the following few days going through all its goofy Kabuki theater floor speeches and cloture nonsense, Kavanaugh will be confirmed on Tuesday to become the next associate justice to the U.S. Supreme Court.  At the end of the day, he will probably receive right at the same number of total votes as did Neil Gorsuch, with several squeamish Red state Ds joining all 51 Rs to confirm.

But much more than that was at stake here.  As I wrote last week and again earlier this week, our constitutional guarantees of the right to face our accusers and the presumption of innocence for the accused were under assault and on the line in this nomination, thanks to the the Democrat conspiracy to destroy this man’s life on the front pages of our nation’s fake newspapers.

I have been extremely critical of Senator Graham over the years, mainly due to his slavish devotion to John McCain, and I believe he deserved every bit of the criticism he received over those years.  But today, he is my hero because, when the moment came when he and only he could summon the personal gumption to stand up and change the course of history for our country, he rose to the occasion and grew into his potential as a true statesman.

God bless him for doing that, God bless Judge Kavanaugh and his family and God bless America.

That is all.

Our Fake News Media – The Willing Enablers of Democrat Depravity

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Another Trump tour de force. – One day after giving possibly the greatest pro-America speech ever delivered by any U.S. representative at the United Nations General Assembly, President Donald Trump (I still never tire of typing those three words) conducted one of the most amazing, wide-ranging press conferences ever conducted by a president in an international setting.  It was filled with humor, biting commentary on current events, amazing new nuggets of information (such as the President’s preference that oily Rod Rosenstein stay on the job at least for now) and even another humiliation of CNN’s pathetic, preening peacock Jim Acosta.

Some of the best highlights of the press conference can be found here.  You can no doubt watch it in its entirety at any of a dozen places – just Google it.

The humorless fake news media naturally blasted and intentionally mis-reported the presser, just as they had blasted and mis-reported the President’s speech.  Which is what the fake news media does in this country.

The takeaway, though, is this:  President Trump should be doing these press conferences far more often.  He is far and away his own most effective spokesman, and he needs to stop allowing his communications advisors to bottle him up.  He should hold a presser just like he did yesterday every Friday afternoon and let it dominate the news cycle for every weekend.  It is maddening that he continues to take such bad communications advice from his team.

The Creepy Porn Lawyer takes things a step too far. – Here’s what I wrote on my Facebook page yesterday, shortly after the Creepy Porn Lawyer had made his latest outrageous effort to attract attention by exploiting another woman:

I gotta tell ya, I’m beginning to think the Creepy Porn Lawyer is actually a Trump plant.

I think this latest stunt is going to completely backfire on the Democrats. I think it is so outrageously unbelievable that it is going to infuriate millions of ordinary Americans who might have to this point been on the fence about the nomination.

Think about it: Brett Kavanaugh has been subjected to SIX FBI BACKGROUND CHECKS. These things are like full-fledged anal examinations in which every aspect of your life is looked at, all the way back to your birth. Every friend and acquaintance you have ever had is contacted by the FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION and asked about your character.

So now we are expected to believe that, during the course of SIX of these intrusive investigations, the FBI failed to come across a shred of information from any of the hundreds of people they spoke with about a drugging, rape-train operation that Kavanaugh and several friends operated for more than TWO YEARS?

I have never been more disgusted in my life about anything outside of my own personal behavior than I am right now. I swear, if I was in the same room as Avenatti today, one of us would not leave it alive.

This is vile, demented and just plain evil.

[End]

Here’s a personal incident that illustrates just how utterly ridiculous this woman’s claim truly is:  In the summer of 1974, a friend and I got the big idea to imitate the streaker who ran behind David Niven at that year’s Academy Awards show by streaking through the parking lot at a local Circle K food store where our high school friends liked to gather on Friday evenings.

Within about 30 seconds of our little frolic across the asphalt, a call from a horrified fellow high school student had gone into the local police department, and my pal and I were arrested a few hours later.  That’s how socially unacceptable doing such a thing was in a small town in America at that time.

But the Creepy Porn Lawyer wants you all to believe that our Supreme Court Nominee spent no fewer than two solid years running a punch-spiking, girl-drugging, rape-train party ring in a small town among the students at a high school with a total enrollment of about 400, and nobody called the police, everybody – even the victims – kept it all a big secret, and no one said a word about any of it until 37 years later.  If you are dumb enough to believe any of that, please seek help.

Because, after all, this…is CNN. – Some anonymous guy “came forward” yesterday afternoon to accuse Judge Kavanaugh of raping an unidentified woman on a boat in 1995.  When it was within an hour revealed that this guy was a nutjob who has made violent threats against President Trump, he withdrew his accusation.  Naturally, many hours later, CNN still has an uncorrected report up on its website claiming this clown’s accusation represents a fourth accuser.  What else would we expect?

The Fake News Media – depravity’s willing facilitators. – That brings me around to the actual point I want to make in this long and winding piece, which is that the Democrats feel free to engage in the vile, evil, demented behaviors in which they have engaged related to this nomination (and everything else for that matter) because they know they will never be held accountable for doing so by our fake news media.

While most of us – me included – have expressed our disgust over what we have witnessed during the confirmation process by targeting the Democrats who have organized and paid for all of it, that is really missing the point to some extent.  Because the root of the problem here is that our country no longer has a legitimate, functioning fourth estate.

The freedom of the press guaranteed in the first amendment to the Constitution was placed there because the founders of this country knew it was critical to have a free press that would hold those in power accountable for their bad actions.  The history of mankind that had gone before the founding of our country clearly told them that, where no such accountability exists, political organizations would almost without exception resort to destructive behavior in the pursuit of political power.

In our society, the role of the free press is supposed to be to serve as that watchdog, that entity that will inform the public whenever the members of either major party engage in behavior that is destructive to the foundations of our republic.  Sadly, in recent years, our major media outlets have completely abandoned that role in the name of the pursuit of their demented view of what constitutes “social justice.”  The belief that conservatism and capitalism are evil is ingrained into their tiny minds by the leftist professors who dominate our nation’s college campuses, and that belief system colors everything they do once they are on the job.

The result is that our major media organizations, with only a handful of exceptions, now perform as nothing more than propaganda outlets for the Democrat Party, and more specifically for its increasingly radicalized voter base.  The consequence of that is what we have witnessed on our television screens for the past two years, as the Democrat Party funds and coordinates the rising level of leftist violence on our streets, and mounts the disgraceful political circus designed to destroy not just the reputation of Judge Kavanaugh, but his family and his life as well.

For all you Millennials, there is this great book called “Animal Farm” that your parents and grandparents were forced to read when they were in high school.  That book perfectly describes how a society degenerates into absolute chaos when there is no societal mechanism for holding those in power accountable for their bad actions.  You should go out to Amazon and pay a few bucks to read it, because it perfectly describes what is happening in our society today, thanks to the Democrats and their willing enablers in our national fake news media.

That is all.

Women are Angry About the Assaults on Kavanaugh, and Getting Angrier

Today’s Campaign Update – Mid-day Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

[I received an email from a long-time friend this morning containing the text below.  If you don’t think many, many women are angered by the Democrats’ shameless, depraved assault on Judge Brett Kavanaugh, you might want to think again after reading this.]

===============

I stopped in to a local Chinese restaurant yesterday evening to grab an early dinner. I had been running some late afternoon errands after a busy day of work calls, and my husband was out of town. I was looking forward to a quiet, easy dinner alone with my iPhone, catching up on the news of the day.

A guy close to my age (mid-50s) came in with an older gentleman. I couldn’t tell if it was his father, an elderly uncle, or perhaps a neighbor, but it was clear that this man was kindly taking this older man out for dinner and some conversation, which I thought seemed like a lovely thing to do. The restaurant was busy but not too crowded, and people at the tables around me were having quiet conversations, none of which were loud or disruptive. It seemed like everyone was, like I was, just interested in a quiet and relaxing Tuesday evening dinner.

Until this man says to his older friend, loudly, “Well! It’s certainly going to be an interesting week of news with all of this Kavanaugh stuff!” Now, I’m not sure if he was speaking so loudly because the older man had a hearing problem, or whether he could barely contain his smug glee, but loud it was, impossible to ignore.

The older man said he didn’t know what the guy was talking about. “Wow, I guess you haven’t been paying attention to your old favorite, Fox News. There is a lot going on and I think the Democrats really have the Republicans on the ropes with this guy. What a terrible pick!”

The older man leaned in and wanted to know more.

“Well, it seems like this guy Kavanaugh was a real party animal in high school and college. Lots of excessive drinking. All of his classmates are coming forward and saying that he was a real wild man. Last week, a girl he knew in high school came forward. Apparently Kavanaugh jumped on top of her at a party, grabbed her boob, and put his hand over her mouth and said he was going to kill her if she didn’t let him have sex with her! Can you believe it???”

My blood pressure started to rise. I felt like I was going through a decision tree in my head, if I do this, then this. Or if I do this other thing, then this will happen. Or maybe I should just let it go. That’s where I had landed, until the guy, chortling gleefully, continued.

“THEN another woman, this time from college, has come forward and says that he was the leader of a rape gang! And his college roommate is saying that it’s all true! Can you believe it? So the other night Kavanaugh goes on TV with his wife, and tells Fox that none of this stuff could have ever happened, because he was a virgin in high school and well into his college years. Can you imagine? What a ridiculous story!” He was almost at a guffaw now. “This is going to absolutely KILL the Republicans once and for all. They are probably going to railroad him in there, but I don’t think the Republicans will ever get another woman to vote for them again.”

The older man seemed horrified. He said, “really, there is more than one person saying this? One in high school and then another in college?” “Yep!” his friend replied, with the same excited gleeful tone that I get when I talk about, say, really good homemade flour tortillas or salted caramel chocolate sauce. “Well, then, if there’s more than one it must be true,” the older man said, shaking his head rather woefully.

I was wrapping up my dinner and they were just getting started. I wanted to say something, but fresh from watching the footage of the raging mob attack Ted Cruz and his wife at a restaurant the night before, I thought better of it. Instead, I took my receipt and wrote the following note on the back:

“I have been assaulted once and subjected to sexual harassment in the workplace for most of my career.I persevered. And, to this day, I remember every detail of each instance and I would need ZERO time to prepare of gather courage to tell my story. You will be SHOCKED if you think that “all women” will vote as a monolith. We are furious. As a victim. As a woman. As a wife, a mother, and a sister. I DETEST what is being done to this man. You should, too. I think I recognize you. That’s all it takes, right?”

I then turned it over and said “I thought about shrieking this at you and making a scene, like they did to Cruz last night. But we are better than that. We just vote.”

I took it to my server, a young woman in her twenties. I asked if she would take it to this man after I walked out of the restaurant. She read it over, smiling and nodding (which surprised me.) She looked up after reading it and gave me a high five, and said “Yes, I sure will. Have a good evening. And thank you.”

Where we get our news matters. This man was so clearly in a bubble of one-sided accounts and like-minded people. It never dawned on him that anyone who might overhear the conversation would be offended, much less that they wouldn’t see things exactly the same way he did or know the same “facts” he did. There was not one iota of “what if these allegations aren’t true?”

And then I came home and looked up when early voting starts, just to make sure. I shared a photo of my note with several female friends, on both sides of the aisle, so to speak. The feedback was uniformly positive. This whole debacle has been demeaning to women, particularly to women who have lived through the evolution of women’s’ opportunities and roles in the workplace. It feels like we have taken all the real progress made over the past 40 years all the way back to the stone age.

But, more important than that, we are women who love the men in our lives. We can see how ominous this kind of mob rule in the public square, where an allegation is enough to sink a ship, actually is. I pray that the Republicans stand strong and vote to confirm this man.

And then, we need rise up and demand that the consequences for anyone making false sexual assault accusations, or any person or entity who is complicit in the perpetuation of them, are so brutal that we never allow this sort of thing to happen to any innocent American man ever again.

This is the America the Democrats Want

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Because Hollywood is bankrupt of ideas. – The “new” version of “Murphy Brown” apparently premiered last night, and, at least according to the reviews, nothing has changed except for the fact that all but one or two of the cast qualifies for Medicare.  The show itself is still the smug, preachy vehicle for leftist writers and leftist actors to pawn their leftist views off on any poor soul who happens to stumble across CBS in their search for reruns of “Flip or Flop”.

Dang it, and I just remembered that the “new” version of “Magnum, PI” premiered on Monday, and I missed it.  Hey, don’t judge me – mediocre remakes of some old ideas are better than others.

Speaking of bad remakes of old ideas, the new version of “The Cosby Show” hasn’t worked out too well for “America’s Dad”, who got sentenced to 3 to 10 years on Tuesday for being a lifelong sexual predator.  While that probably will amount to a life sentence for the 81 year-old Bill Cosby, it doesn’t really seem like enough, does it?

And for any leftist pinheads who are about to scream “but…but…but…BRETT KAVANAUGH!!!!!!!!” at your computer screens, this is actually an instructive moment in time, or it would be if any of you were capable of reasoning in a rational manner.  See, the gigantic difference here is that the accuser of Mr. Cosby in this case brought not only allegations that a crime had been committed upon her, but also brought a ton of actual supporting EVIDENCE of said crime.

It remains questionable whether what Christine Ford alleges even amounts to a “crime” in a legal sense, although it certainly would be bad behavior by a teenage boy 36 years ago.  While the second accuser does allege the commission of an actual crime, she obviously has no real clue whether the person who committed it was in fact Judge Kavanaugh.

Neither accuser of Judge Kavanaugh has to this point brought a single lick of evidence to support their allegations.  Not even life-long friends of either woman are willing to back them in any real way.  Even at this late time, one day before the scheduled hearing, it remains doubtful that either accuser even has enough confidence in their story to be willing to show up and testify under oath.  The second accuser has in fact made it very clear she will not be coming forward; meanwhile, Christine Ford’s crack team of high-dollar Democrat activist lawyers spent the day on Tuesday still making ridiculous demands on terms for her testimony, demands that they know Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley and Majority Leader Mitch McConnell will not meet.

The Cosby situation is not remotely comparable to the clown show going on with Judge Kavanaugh, so all of you need to just stop making yourselves look stupid.

The vote has been scheduled, at least for now. – Chairman Grassley did finally take the action of scheduling a vote of his committee for Friday, giving the 72-hour advance notice required by Senate rules.  Democrats naturally wailed and tossed tantrums and did interviews on CNN and MSNBC all afternoon, because hey, they’re Democrats and that’s what they do.

But the vote has been scheduled for September 28, and Majority Leader McConnell took the additional step of notifying every senator to plan to remain in Washington, DC this weekend.  That’s because Sunday is September 30, and McConnell no doubt plans to hold the vote of the full senate on the Kavanaugh nomination that day, after giving the 48 hour notice following the committee vote that is also required by Senate rules.

Oh, these Republicans – they’re such rules followers.

And that’s really the deal here at the end of the day:  If the Republicans just hold together and follow the rules, they will get Judge Kavanaugh confirmed at the very last possible moment for him to take his seat on the Supreme Court when its new session begins next Monday, October 1.  Regardless of all the wailing, moaning, temper tantrums, false witnesses, radical leftist demonstrations, Kamala Harris lies, Cory Booker “I am Spartacus!” moments, and a never-ending parade of d-list celebrities and other mental patients being paid by George Soros and the DNC to disrupt the process, the Democrats remain powerless to stop this nomination when all is said and done.

Their only remaining hope is to do so much bullying and yelling and screaming and planting of so many fake news stories in their media outlet partners that they are able to convince any two Republican squish senators to vote against the nomination.  Their main targets have been exactly who you’d expect:  Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins and of course Jeff Flake.  For Collins and Murkowski, the question is all about their support for abortion and for Flake its all about burnishing his credentials for his post-senate gig as a paid contributor to CNN or MSNBC, where he has become the favorite fake Republican ever since John McCain took ill a year ago.

Collins so far has remained pretty firm in the face of all the Democrat abortion lobby fury that’s come her way.  Murkowski seems to be going wobbly, and keeps talking nonsense about how an “FBI investigation” could just solve all of this, even though the 6 previous FBI background checks Kavanaugh has been subjected to never turned up anything worse than parking tickets in his life.

Flake is Flake:  a preening, disloyal, self-promoting jerk whose time in the Senate blessedly ends on December 31 in any event.  He for some absurd reason sits on the Judiciary Committee (how did McConnell allow that to happen?) and thus could tip the vote to the Democrats there if he wants to.  The nomination would still go to a vote of the full Senate in any event, but with a “do not confirm” recommendation that could give other fence-sitting Republicans an excuse to vote with the Democrats.

It’s a momentous week:  As despicably as the Democrats and the media have behaved to this point, you should only expect it to become more despicable, hysterical and shrill as Sunday approaches.

This is the America the Democrat Party has given us, the America the Democrats want, the America their lord and savior Saul Alinsky envisioned.  Never forget that immutable fact.

That is all.

Time to Call the Vote or Just Surrender, Mitch

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

So much hypocrisy, so little time. – It would be impossible to detail all the rank hypocrisy coming from the political left related to the Kavanaugh nomination right now, but this tweet from Moveon.org just cannot go unmentioned:

For all you Millennials out there who are too young to remember, Moveon.org’s name LITERALLY refers to the one and only reason for its creation in the late 1990s, which was to use Saul Alinsky tactics to convince the public to “just move on” from Bill Clinton’s serial sexual abuses. LITERALLY.

Ok, one more breathtakingly disgusting tweet from a leftist organization that cannot go unmentioned:

That’s right, friends, the demented creeps at Amnesty International want you all to believe that Brett Kavanaugh is actually, in his spare time, a budding Saddam Hussein.  Holy crap.

The Creepy Porn Lawyer is frustrated. – Speaking of demented creeps, Michael Avenatti was on Twitter on Monday complaining that his emails to the lead counsel for the Senate Judiciary Committee, Mike Davis were not getting returned in a timely manner.  Someone really should let this guy know that the congressional email system automatically shoves any incoming emails whose IP address is Creepy.Porn.Lawyer.1 over to the spam folder.

But the Creepy Porn Lawyer is coming, and apparently a whole string of exactly who you’d expect are coming with him (no puns intended). – Avenatti’s latest story keeps changing, which is not surprising coming from this greasy carnival barker.  He started it off with the following tweet on Sunday:

But last night, in an interview on – guess where? – CNN, which is always willing to accommodate any anti-Trump hack who wants his face on national TV, the Creepy Porn Lawyer claimed to have “multiple” women willing to claim that Mr. Kavanaugh engaged in all sorts of sexual shenanigans while in college.  He further pledged to start bringing them forward – no doubt also on CNN – within the next 48 hours.  So, just in time to pre-empt the hearing scheduled for Thursday at which both Kavanaugh and accuser Christine Ford are supposedly going to testify.

Gosh, what a coincidence, right?

So, we now have the Democrats’ game fully laid out for all to see, and it goes like this:

  • Find some initial accuser willing to smear Kavanaugh and also willing to pretend to be willing to testify under oath;
  • Derail the scheduled process by insisting that the first accuser cannot possibly be ready to testify by Monday, Sept. 24, and demand a later hearing;
  • Once you get that later hearing scheduled, then issue a constantly-changing set of demands that you know Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley will not meet, because your client has no intention of ever testifying under oath and potential felony charges for perjury;
  • As the new hearing date approaches, get another accuser who also has no earthly intention of testifying under oath out in front of the public to create confusion and place further pressure on Kavanaugh and cowardly senate RINOs Republicans like Jeff Flake and Susan Collins;
  • As the second accuser’s story is being systematically shown to be an outright fraud that is even too fake for the freaking New York Times to run, bring out the Creepy Porn Lawyer to up the pressure with even more absurd and salacious claims against the nominee;
  • All the while, have your depraved and evil Democrat senators like Dianne Feinstein and that brain-dead nitwit from Hawaii all over TV insisting that the Thursday hearing be cancelled because you know your “witness” has no intention of showing up for it.

This is classic Saul Alinsky Rules for Radicals 101.  You have to give the Democrats credit – this bit of evil destruction of a good man’s reputation and life has been extremely well-coordinated.  The obvious effort is to create such a high degree of confusion that the average member of the public cannot possibly figure out what the truth is and ultimately gets to the point where they all say “enough!  stop this madness!” and the nomination gets pulled by its sponsors.

As we sit here this morning, there is no real way to know with certainty if the Democrats and their fake news media wall of propaganda will achieve their end goals, but the GOP’s foolish efforts to pretend their accusers are acting in good faith (they aren’t) and negotiating with their extremely expensive lawyers moves the ball forward for the bad guys with each passing day.

Majority Leader McConnell can make all the tough floor speeches he wants (he made a pretty good one on Monday), but until he calls an end to this circus and forces a vote on the nomination, he is playing directly into the Democrats’ twisted, gnarled hands.

In the end, McConnell, Grassley and the Senate Republicans are either going to have to take a stand and force a vote, or ask Kavanaugh and President Trump to pull the nomination.  Had they done what they should have done and gone forward with the scheduled committee vote yesterday, they could be holding the final vote tomorrow.

The Senate Rs appear to be living under an illusion that if they just keep negotiating and compromising, their Democrat “colleagues” will ultimately start behaving reasonably and the pressure will relent.  This is insanity and frankly stupid.  In fact, the Democrats will only continue increasing the pressure and bringing more and more accusers out of the woodwork to make increasingly outrageous claims.

When it becomes obvious to even the most clueless GOP senate members late on Wednesday that Ms. Ford is not going to show up for Thursday’s hearing, McConnell and Grassley need to simply schedule a vote.  If that doesn’t happen, then this nomination is dead, and our constitutionally-guaranteed rights to the presumption of innocence and to face one’s accusers are dead along with it.

It really is that simple.

That is all.

Kavanaugh Now Under Assault by a Pack of Rabid Animals

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

So it’s not the Clarence Thomas playbook after all, it’s the Roy Moore playbook. – The Campaign Update was wrong 10 days ago when it noted that the Democrats were going to give Brett Kavanaugh the Clarence Thomas treatment, and mount another “high-tech lynching” to gin up their demented voter base.  Instead, as Sunday’s events clearly demonstrate, it’s the Roy Moore treatment instead.

Which makes sense when you think about it:  The Democrat effort to kill the Clarence Thomas nomination by bringing forward a single accuser spinning tall tales was an abject failure at the end of the day.  But the effort to kill Roy Moore and steal the Alabama senate seat he was seeking by digging up multiple women willing to accuse him of bad behavior more than 30 years ago was a resounding success.

The first new accuser came to us late Sunday afternoon via Ronan Farrow and some other fakenewser at The New Yorker, who give us the tall tale that Judge Kavanaugh “exposed himself” at some frat party in 1983.  Very predictably, the accuser admits she was drunk, can’t remember key details (sound familiar?) and also admits that she had to “assess my memory” and “consult my lawyer” for no fewer than…wait for it…SIX DAYS before coming forward with her “story.”  I swear I don’t make this stuff up – who could?

Even better, one has to read a full 1,000 words into the New Yorker story to find this admission that gives the lie to the entire piece:

So, you call yourself a journalist, you contact by your own admission “several dozen” people who were supposed to have been at the party in question, not one of them can confirm any aspect of the accuser’s story – not even the allegation that Kavanaugh was in fact at the party – and after all that epic failure to confirm your “story”, you just decide to throw it out there and pray nobody bothers to read past the first 999 words.  In a sane world, where the concept of “journalistic integrity” was still actually a thing, The New Yorker would fire everyone involved in this story.  But hey, it’s terrific clickbait, so they’ll probably all get bonuses.

Oh, but it gets even better.  This yarn, spun by a rabid anti-Trump activist who claims to have attended Yale at the same time as Kavanaugh back in the dark ages of disco and punk rock, is so specious and obviously false that, before Farrow decided to run with it, it was turned down by the shameless fake news hacks at NBC, the New York Times and the Washington Post!  This obvious hatchet job is a stain on the dead profession of journalism.

But, as the great Ron Popeil would say, “But that’s not all – there’s more!”

Admit it:  You just knew the creepy porn lawyer would find some way to get his name involved in all of this, right?  C’mon, sure you did.

That’s right, Michael Avenatti, who is trying to turn his representation of porn star Stormy Daniels into a Democrat presidential campaign – because, hey, these idiots voted for both Bill and Hillary Clinton, so why not a creepy porn lawyer, right? – claims he has a client who will blow the lid off of this entire circus, which quite honestly would be sort of a relief at this point.

Avenatti made his announcement on Twitter – because of course he did – claiming that he is “aware of significant evidence of multiple house parties in the Washington, D.C. area during the early 1980s, during which Brett Kavanagh, Mark Judge and others would participate in the targeting of women with alcohol/drugs to allow a ‘train’ of men to subsequently gang rape them.”

So think about this:  Other than these rabid anti-Republican activist accusers, literally no one who can actually be shown to have known Judge Kavanaugh has anything bad to say about him at all, not even contemporaries who describe themselves as “life-long friends” of Christine Ford.  But, under our brave new #MeToo rules, we as a society are supposed to just believe these accusers and their extremely expensive lawyers who are most certainly being paid by some shadowy activist group funded by George Soros and/or Tom Steyer, for the sole reason that they happen to be women.  Oh, but, also under our brave new rules, we aren’t supposed to even call them “women” because that’s all gender-discriminatory or something.

It’s all so confusing. And evil.

Thankfully, we had despicable Dianne Feinstein to jump in and provide the day’s comic relief.  The doddering, evil Senator from California first released a copy of a copy of what she claims to be the “unredacted” version of the letter she received from Christine Ford way back in July and then sat on for two months.  In this “copy” of the original letter, the first sentence of the 2nd paragraph – which was blacked out in the original version Feinstein provided to the Judiciary Committee – is in a different font than the rest of the letter, and has obviously been altered.

That is the key sentence, which now reads:  “Brett Kavanaugh physically and sexually assaulted me during high school in the early 1980s.”  There will of course be no word from Sen. Feinstein’s office on what the original letter actually said.

To make her day even more hysterically funny and utterly despicable, Senator Feinstein next issued a letter in response to the new allegations against Kavanaugh, in which she very predictably calls for the cancellation of the hearing scheduled for this Thursday.  The third and final paragraph begins with this sentence:  “It is time to set politics aside.”

*sigh*

Dianne Feinstein is a purely evil human being – there is simply no other way to assess the role she has played in this systematic destruction of a good man’s character for purely political gain.

Many – even some Republicans – are urging Kavanaugh to withdraw his nomination in light of these new, obviously false accusations.  But that won’t do him any good.  What Kavanaugh and everyone else needs to recognize here is that the Democrats are a pack of rabid animals at this point.  They smell blood and they are not going to be satisfied with simply keeping Kavanaugh off the Supreme Court.  They are out to literally destroy him as a judge and as a person.

These rabid pack animals will not stop until one of two things happens:

  • Chuck Grassley, Mitch McConnell and the rest of the Senate Republicans grow some huevos and put a stop to this nonsense by confirming this extremely well-qualified candidate to the Supreme Court; or
  • Judge Kavanaugh pulls his nomination, resigns his appellate court seat and disappears entirely from public life.

If the latter happens, then there probably will be a huge “Blue Wave” at the ballot box in November, because the GOP base will surely not bother to turn out to vote for a bunch of cowardly weasels on Election Day.  If the GOP can’t even confirm a Supreme Court nominee with a Senate majority, then what good are they?

This week determines the election, one way or another.  The Democrats know this – that’s what this entire circus has been all about.

But it’s not just about the election – much, much more is at stake here.  We are either going to remain a Constitutional republic in which the rules of evidence and presumption of innocence still apply, or we are going to completely give in to this dangerous #MeToo paradigm in which any man’s entire life can be destroyed by the simple fact of an accusation, unsupported by any actual facts at all, leveled by a person who possesses female genitalia.

Our nation’s entire future is at stake here, and that is not an overstatement.  Sadly, there is no way to know if McConnell, Grassley or any other senate Republican has figured this out, or even gives a damn if they have.

That is all.
