Dear Trump Supporters: Democrats Hate You and Want You Dead

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Here are some examples from this weekend proving that Democrats and their corrupt media toadies hate you and want you dead.

In Olympia, Washington:

In Duval County, Florida:

On the campus of Arizona State University:

In Portland, Oregon:

And this result from a poll of New Hampshire Democrat voters:

Yes, friends, 62% of New Hampshire Democrats would prefer for a big meteor to strike the earth and wipe out all of human life on the planet than to see President Trump re-elected. This is the level of outright derangement in the Democrat voter base right now.

I swear I don’t make this stuff up.

All of this – every bit of it – is a direct result of the atmosphere of rank hatred that has been created and condoned by the Democrat Party and its corrupt toadies in the media. Since the day Donald and Melania Trump rode down the escalator at Trump Tower to announce his candidacy for the presidency, these people have been agitating for violence against Mr. Trump and anyone who supports him.

This outright violence on the streets of this country against anyone supporting the President of the United States is only going to get worse and worse as the election approaches and it becomes obvious that Mr. Trump is going to win a landslide re-election. These thugs are completely deranged and they have been given social license to carry out their violence by one of this country’s two main political parties and its propaganda agents in the national corporate media.

We are living in a dangerous time. Keep your kids close and your eyes open.

That is all.

Iran Lobs Missiles As Democrats And Corrupt Media Cheer Them On

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

So, what actually happened last night? – Not much, other than open sedition and disgrace from the Democrat/media/Deep State Axis of disinformation.

When news broke that Iran was lobbing missiles from its soil at a pair of Iraqi military bases where U.S. and coalition forces were stationed, Democrats and media figures immediately started their own cheering section for the Iranian Mullahs on Twitter. MSNBC’s Larry O’Donnell kicked things off with this little gem, openly urging the Mullahs to take revenge on the bad Orange Man in the White House:

San Fran Nan Pelosi, the ostensible Speaker of the House, did her own version of “Down the Field, Big Team, Down the Field” for the Mullahs with this tweet, blaming everything on the Orange Man:

Even Tulsi Gabbard, an active reservist who should know better, made a statement blaming everything that’s ever happened vis a vis Iran on the bad Orange Man. Pathetic.

Pelosi’s statement that she was “closely monitoring” the situation was a lie. In fact, she was partying at the opening of a new D.C. restaurant as the situation in Iraq was unfolding, as an enterprising attendee posted a picture of her yucking it up with her fellow party-goers and posted it on Twitter:

Image may contain: 1 person, indoor

No wonder those articles of impeachment she’s been holding onto for weeks smell like vodka and mothballs.

The nation’s Unfrozen Caveman Senator, Quid Pro Joe Biden, was as discombobulated as always, twice confusing the nation of Iran with Iraq. The fawning corrupt reporters present attributed the latest evidence of Biden’s creeping dementia to a simple “misspeak”, because of course they did.

Meanwhile, over at CNN, it was business as usual:

Image may contain: 1 person

Thankfully, whether due to poor aim of the Iranian military or by intention, no U.S. or Coalition personnel were killed in the missile attacks. As one friend emailed me this morning: “Iran named this attack after General Soleimani…that’s why it was scattered all over the desert, not hurting anyone.”

The lack of U.S. casualties, however, did not prevent the despicable hacks at MSNBC from giving airtime to Iranian propaganda claiming the attacks had killed 30 U.S. military personnel. As reported by the Daily Caller:

MSNBC host Chris Matthews brought in NBC News Tehran bureau chief Ali Arouzi, who repeated the Iranian claims to MSNBC’s national audience.

“We’ve just getting reports now that a second wave of rocket attacks have been launched from Iran. The IRGC was saying that Ayatollah Khamenei, the supreme leader of this country, was in the control center coordinating these attacks. This is, uh, this bit I’m not sure about,” Arouzi said, before sharing the unverified propaganda claims, “but Iran state media is claiming that 30 U.S. soldiers have been killed in this attack. Now, this is not confirmed, this is just coming from Iranian media, but we have just stepped over the precipice, Chris.”

The only “precipice” that had been stepped over was MSNBC’s stepping over the precipice into rank sedition and fake news.

Senator Marco Rubio summed things up like this early Wednesday morning:

President Trump, showing the restraint towards Iran’s constant provocations that he has demonstrated throughout his presidency, actually did closely monitor the situation throughout the evening. Despite wild media reports variously claiming that he had scrambled stealth fighters out of the UAE and ordered nuclear-warhead-armed B-52s to prepare for takeoff, the U.S. held its massive fire and allowed the situation to fully play itself out.

Earlier on Tuesday, during a press availability at the White House, President Trump summed up the decision to take out Soleimani in his own unique way:

The President will make a statement to the nation later this morning, laying out the details from the U.S. point of view, and discussing his next steps moving forward. If he were the hothead know-nothing the seditious U.S. media portrays him to be, hell would already be raining down all over the Middle East.

Be thankful he’s your President, and not the actual hothead who openly celebrated the “successful” Obama Administration plan to throw the entire nation of Libya into 19th century turmoil, a state it remains in to this day.

That is all.

Trump is Completely Exposing the Democrats and the Media

Today’s Campaign Update, Part III
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

[Note: The following piece is from contributor Gregg Updike. I hope you enjoy his thoughts on the situation with Iran, and how President Trump is exposing the seditious nature of the Democrat Party and its corrupt media toadies – I know I did.]

While it is great that President Trump has recently taken out a couple of head honchos in the Middle East, can anyone doubt that their #2s (in every sense of the word) won’t just take over and continue their fight?  Had Hitler been successfully assassinated in July 1944, Goering would have taken over, then Himmler…

Point being, just because America took out these leaders, it does not mean Iran and ISIS will stack their bats and quit the field.  This means we need to be even more vigilant against reprisals.  I am in no way saying that Trump is wrong in what he is doing, I’m just saying these “foreign entanglements”, and their consequences, are far from over.  I only hope and pray for our president’s safety, and that he soon removes all our assets (targets) including our embassies from that entire region; let the various factions pound each other into the sand.

Now that we are oil independent, turn the keys over to Israel and let them have at it; let them either win outright with our tacit support, or continue with the tit-for-tat fighting that has been going on there forever.  I don’t care which route Israel takes, and neither should most Americans.  It would be nice, however, if a greater number of Americans of Jewish descent would actually support Trump and his efforts to defeat Israel’s ancient enemies abroad and renounce and work to defeat Anti-Semitic Democratic Politicians here rather than voting lockstep Democrat for whatever reason.

Once we are out of the region, our doctrine should be: we will flatten any country that causes us harm – period, end of story, with no “nation building/rebuilding”.  Let Europe, without the US propping up NATO, fend for itself against the threats from the Middle East, Russia, and China.  And finally, we must get out of the UN and get the UN out of America.

Apart from the transformation of the courts, and the draining of the swamp via Barr and Durham, Trump’s greatest contribution to America will be the total exposure of the media and the Democratic Party as a cabal of anti-American seditionists.  Sooner or later there will be a Bastille Day of sorts, and the domestic enemies of America as founded will be dealt with.  They will be easy to find as they are doing a wonderful job of exposing themselves for all to see.

They are effectively targeting themselves for destruction by openly rooting for our enemies and against America/Trump. Yet these “journalists” and other “experts” are supposed to be among the best and brightest from American institutions of higher learning; how myopic they all are.  In the interim, Trump is driving them insane with their TDS and making them more and more irrelevant.

The MSM is, and has been, working hand in hand with America’s domestic enemies to diminish and destroy our constitution, amendment by amendment for decades.  What makes them think the 1st Amendment will survive to protect them if the “Fundamental Change” that the Obama types want to bring to America ever comes to fruition?

On the foreign side, the NY Times had a reporter named Walter Duranty espousing Stalin’s communist propaganda from Moscow pre WWII, CNN had an embed in Middle East during Gulf War 1 who refused to be debriefed by the Pentagon upon his return after the first war.  And before and during the second Iraq War, CNN had “exclusive” coverage from their Baghdad “correspondent” who was reporting to the world only exactly what Saddam Hussein and Baghdad Bob allowed him to say.

I also remember how many, if not most MSM TV anchors refused to wear US Flag lapel pins stating they didn’t want to be seen rooting for one side or the other – just the facts, uh, sure, right.  Presidents Wilson (D), and FDR (D) most certainly censored the press during their terms, so there is precedent on the regulation of “Free” (Political) Speech.

History has shown when there is a “Fundamental Change” i.e. revolution, or invasion of a country, or other takeover, the first people purged are the “intelligentsia” including professors of higher learning and the press…

I’m a capable and productive person who is very adaptable and has worked many blue collar jobs and I can survive in almost any political environment by what I bring to the table.  I don’t believe any of these singularly specialized propagandists, masquerading as “experts” or “journalists” are capable of doing anything but being keyboard warriors, and ignorant social justice and environmental agitators.

They will be the first ones eliminated if and when true socialism/fascism/communism comes to America. The constitution as we know it will be gone, and the country will be ruled by a dictator.  No dictator would ever tolerate any such fifth column activity; it will be brutally put down just as sure as the sun comes up every day.

I only hope the “useful idiots” that the left has used for their evil anti-American purpose will someday soon wise up and abandon their (ultimately petty) crusades for their own sake.  Of the 328 or so million people in the US, only about 8-10% are the agitators, the loudmouths, the troublemakers to varying degrees; still that can be as many as ten million people young or old enough to actually be active in all the protests/riots that are sure to come this November when Trump wins a second term in a landslide, and the House flips to the GOP.

I truly believe that the other 90+ percent of the country – if not the world – are fundamentally good people who would just love to be able to live their lives in peaceful coexistence without all this conflict and drama. It’s the 10 percenters that must be defeated and ultimately eliminated for peace to prevail.

The president has shown great acumen in his ability to be ahead of the curve and has been very successful in blunting and exposing the left’s agenda(s).  His second term, starting with the first sign of violence after the election, must be the direct, forceful and complete stopping of all the paid professional protesters/rioters.  Then he must go after all the domestic and foreign money people funding this Anti-American revolution/coup.

The presidential oath states the president’s first obligation is to protect and defend America and its’ Constitution from all foreign and domestic enemies.  All of the people and entities (including and especially the MSM/SM) who have been engaged in this three plus year coup, Logan Act Violations, aiding and abetting election interference (that was actually done by the Democrats), illegally spying on any American, or allowing/authorizing the same, and who promote the subsequent violence should be charged under the RICO Act.

Qassem Soleimani, the IRGC, and why the “General” had to die

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

[Note: I received the following insights over the weekend from the same veteran who has contributed here previously. It is fairly long, but well worth the read if you want to really understand why Soleimani’s killing was not only justified, but essentially mandatory for any U.S. President interested in doing his job properly.  I have added some bolding for emphasis.]

From: A Veteran with 20+ years of service, a Naval Aviator who flew combat missions in Iraq, and had 15+ years in counter-terrorism.  Also served as a flight instructor at NAS Pensacola.

Over the past several days, I’ve watched the Network News and various news outlets struggle with the reporting on the death of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani (IRCG, Quds Commander).  While it has been infuriating watching Democrats from the media through presidential candidates lament the death of the world’s leading terrorist, much of that is born of ignorance to the region and simply not knowing who Qassem Soleimani was or what he was responsible for.

Some CRITICAL background information needed to understand what is going on with regard this termination.

All middle east discussions have to start with viewing of conflicts based not on borders or nations, but primarily as Sunni or Shia.  If you have 9 minutes to start an understanding on middle-east issues, the video linked here is a must-watch

If you don’t have 9 minutes, the Cliff’s notes are thus:

After Muhammad died, Islam split based on who they thought should rule.  Sunni Muslims thought that direct descendants of Muhammad should rule the Islamic World.  Shiite (Shia) Muslims think that Islam should be led by Clerics.  Much in the way that Christianity fought centuries of wars from the middle of the 1400’s with the Hussite Rebellion in the Czech Republic (the first sparks of Protestantism) through the 30 years war (ending in 1648) against itself…Islam has never had an equivalent of the Peace of Westphalia, and the rival sects have killed millions of each other in Allah’s name over the centuries. Islamic Empires (and now nations) have very rarely fought a secular war.  It is either Jihad for expansion  (the last one of those ended Sept 11th, 1683 in Vienna) or against Israel (the Great Satan), or an effort to impose their brand of Islam on others.

When applying the Sunni/Shia split to Iran, that nation is virtually exclusive Shia, as reflected in their Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei.  The first portion of that name, “Ali” is a title that infers his position as the head of Shiite Islam.  While Iran has an elected President and other houses of Government, as an Islamic Theocracy, Ali Khamenei’s position supersedes all elected officials, and he is also the head cleric of a large portion of the Islamic world.

This religious position is critical for Iranian influence around the world, as Shia Muslims outside of Iran will typically have primary allegiance to Ali over any local government.  Additionally, the punishments for denial of this authority are well beyond a fine or prison time.  Refusal to submit to the authority of Ali is often punished as apostasy which carries the penalty of death.  Briefly imagine the complexities of being an Iraqi Police Commander and your force is a mix of Sunni and Shia police officers.

So, what is the IRGC, and the Quds Force, and why did Qassem Soleimani need to die?

Just as we have covered that Iran has a secular style of government and a religious government, it also has parallel military forces.  Iran maintains a “regular” Army, Navy, and Air Force that are organized along standard structures.  Parallel to these forces, Iran also maintains the IRGC (Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps) which follows only the orders of Ali Khamenei.  The IRGC’s mission is essentially in its name: It Guards the Revolution, and that revolution was to make Shia Islam the ruling force of Iran (when the Shah was deposed) and spread that influence across the globe.

The IRGC has components that mirror Army, Navy, Special Forces, and Intelligence structures.  When you hear talking heads on TV say things like “Iran is behind this” or “Iranian backed rebels,” they are talking about influence that is exported via the IRGC, specifically the Quds force which was led by Qassem Soleimani.

When Americans think of famous terrorists, the first to come to mind is Usama Bin Laden.  While UBL’s name came to prominence after the September 11th attacks until his ultimate demise, the reach and resources of Al Qaeda paled in comparison to what Iran has done over the past 40+ years.

Over the last two decades, every terrorist action or Shiite Rebel Campaign has come at the direction of Qassem Soleimani.

There has been the data point that Soleimani was responsible for the deaths of 603 American troops in Iraq. While this is true, it is an incredibly small line item in the overall bill that we owed Soleimani as that number was due to a specific munition that was traced to Iran and the IRGC.

The broader truth is that Iran used the IRGC Quds force as their focal point for exerting Shia influence in Iraq since the U.S. removal of Saddam Hussein.  10+ years of insurgency and interference with the best chance Democracy has ever had in the middle east were led by Qassem Soleimani.  Oh, and all of the conflicts in Lebanon, Yemen, Afghanistan, and Gaza are his responsibility as well.

To understand just how important Qassem Soleimani is, consider that his responsibilities are essentially the same as our: Head of CIA, Head of Secret Service, Secretary of Defense, Secretary of State, and 4 Star SOCOM Commander.  An absurd claim by the media was that Soleimani was our “ally against ISIS”.  It is true that Shia militias backed by the IRGC fought against ISIS (which was Sunni).  At no point did the United States ever ally ourselves with the IRGC or Qassem Soleimani.  The better analogy is that Iran is Shia version of ISIS, they just have control of a nation and international standing (by virtue of their revolution, allowed by Jimmy Carter) and ISIS’ territory and government never gained international recognition…and Trump crushed ISIS.

Why did he have to die?

This is the question that the mainstream media has been tripping over themselves in failed attempts to answer.

His record of deploying weapons to insurgents to use against US Troops is enough to warrant his death sentence for any reasonable person.  The balance of his list of war crimes and crimes against humanity should be enough to remove any doubt.

What finally got him terminated was the brazen attack on the US Embassy in Baghdad last week.  It is frankly shocking that a man in this position felt comfortable moving freely about Iraq and directing this attack personally.  It is stupefying that US Media outlets covered that attack as “mourners” marching on the embassy.  Some of them probably still believe that the attack in Benghazi was because of a youtube video.  President Trump had previously warned Iran after they shot down a drone that they would bear an extreme price if they “shot at anything American” again.

In this case, all of the diplomatic finger pointing was skipped.  There was no trial in the media or on the floor of the UN where we produced pictures of the General at the Airport and made a case to the international community.  The trial phase took place in a SCIF, and Soleimani’s sentence was delivered by the red-button of a REAPER operator watching the cross hairs on his FLIR display.  That poor pilot didn’t even get to hear the “woosh” of the weapon leaving the rail.

Iran has announced that they are going to have “Three Days of Mourning”.  I personally think that translates to “Give us 72 hours to try and figure out just how badly we have screwed up.”  I don’t have any bold predictions on how Iran will respond, if at all.

Certainly, there will be bluster.  Senator Lindsey Graham has already mentioned just how easily Iran could be put out of the Oil Business.  My friends in Naval Aviation assure me that can happen in a day.  I do not think the Iranian leadership can survive much longer if economics don’t change.

The ball is squarely in Iran’s court at this point.  President Trump made it clear that he prefers to negotiate, and this week’s actions show that he is a man of his word, and he won’t hesitate to “whack a made man”.  Iran’s regular military should be respected, but not feared.  If Iran chooses to attack a capital asset like a Navy Warship or launch missile attack against a Saudi Airbase, the response would be overwhelming.

We’ll see.

What Really Happened at NAS Pensacola, Part 2: “It’s a Complex World”

[Note: The piece we posted here on December 9 from from a former instructor at NAS Pensacola (What Really Happened at NAS Pensacola, and Why) has gone viral across the Internet and generated an array of compelling responses. Some are so compelling that I feel they deserve high profile posts of their own. Below is the first of those, from a former Air Force instructor who also trained foreign nationals during his military service. I found his information especially interesting as it provides insight about the personal interrelationships that become formed between U.S. military personnel and their international colleagues and students.]

From: Earl H. Tilford, PhD

I spent a good portion of my military life teaching in the Air Force and Army “Professional Military Education” systems at the Air Command and Staff College, Air War College and the Army War College.  I also have a doctorate in “American and European Military History, Soviet and East European Politics and History.”

The fact that Saudi officers assigned to Naval flight training are being afforded an opportunity to avail themselves of the finest military flying program in the world aside, since Saudi Arabia does not have nor probably ever will have an aircraft carrier, what are they doing in Pensacola?

That aside…

While I was at Maxwell I became friends with a fantastic human being from Saudi Arabia.  I never knew his real name because he preferred to be called simply “Bleuie.”  When Bleuie was a major at Air Command and Staff College he signed up for an optional M.A. in Military History offered by Air University in conjunction with the University of Alabama.  I taught several courses in that program, including “American Military History,” “Air Power History,” and “The Vietnam War.”

Bleuie’s English was not exceptional so he came to me for advice about hiring a tutor. I recommended a retired USAF officer with a PhD from Duke who had taught at the Air Force Academy.

When Bleuie finished the course successfully, he offered to fly me and his tutor to Washington to meet the Saudi Ambassador and stay there as guests of the his country.  We politely declined stating our official affiliation with the Air Force forbade accepting such generous gifts.   During his stay, Major Bleuie often broke bread with us.  He became a personal friend.

In 1990 I was elated to hear he’d made brigadier general and was returning to Air University as a student at the Air War College.  Then the Iraqis invaded Kuwait and Bleuie’s orders were cancelled.  I heard he was in charge of the Saudi Air Force’s Airborne Command and Control program.

The following year, I was gratified to see Bleuie back at Air University.  We hugged, and I noted, “You’re wearing Saudi colonel’s insignia.  I heard you were promoted to brigadier general.”  He answered that he was now a major general but he did not want to were his rank insignia noting that “too many foreign officers do that to lord it over their classmates.  I won’t do it.”

“Colonel Bleuie” showed up this time with his entire family to include several wives, a crew of servants, chefs, and bodyguards.  He rented an entire block of townhouses in a local apartment complex.

In those days I daily ran the six-mile course around the Maxwell Air Force Base runway which also included park and recreation areas.  On Sundays I’d see Bleuie playing soccer with his children and possibly other Saudi officers.  He acquired a mini-bus to haul his kids around.

At Christmas I received a nice invitation to the clubhouse at the townhouse complex where he rented.  It was an “Invitation to all my Christian and Jewish Friends to a Middle Eastern Feast.” Faculty, students to include a contingent from Israel, and their wives were treated to a fantastic evening of food, drink, and music.

Bleuie was a gentleman.  A kind and compassionate man.  I made several trips to the United Arab Emirates and to Israel in the years since.  I always hoped to run into him there since the trips I made to the region were connected to international security concerns, but I never did.  I also experienced Arab hospitality, which is lavish but also comes with certain strings attached.  From Tel Aviv to Dubai there are a myriad of cultures that clash with one another and with the Judeo-Christian West.

On my first trip to Abu Dhabi in 1998, I gave a presentation titled, “The Future of War.”  At that time I was Director of Research for the U.S. Army’s Strategic Studies Institute and we were tasked with looking out to 2015 to determine the strategic paradigm and what strategies might be appropriate for meeting future challenges.  We got it right, frighteningly so since we predicted massive unrest throughout the region and that Russia would not return to the global fray before 2015 and that by then China would be moving from regional to global hegemonic behavior.

During the question and answer period a Saudi colonel asked, “Do you think a war between the Christian West and the Islamic world is inevitable?”

I was caught off guard.  It was my first visit to the United Arab Emirates and the hospitality had been overwhelming.  I stammered a foolish answer. “Why no!” I exclaimed, then stupidly elaborated.  “Why we share so very much.  We love our families, we cherish freedom, we worship the same God.”

The Saudi colonel lept to his feet and yelled, “We do not worship the same god!  You are a polytheist infidel and not a worshiper of Allah!”  He continued until several robbed ushers intervened.  I stated something like, “I apologize for offending you.”  There were no more questions but I was invited back to speak a few more times over the years.

It’s a complex world.  We make alliances and not necessarily friendships.  Right now it is in our interest to ally ourselves with the Saudis against a common threat from Iran.  That will change as the world changes. But what we must do is harken to our own culture and, perhaps, take a cue from Shakespeare.  “To thine own self be true and it will follow at the night the day, thou canst not be false to any man.”

Earl Tilford

[Note: The additional information below came to me in an email from Prof. Tilford.]

I knew we trained Saudi pilots in the USAF, I was unaware the Navy did.  But knowing a number of Naval Aviators, including two of my brothers in law one of whom, Gerard Finnegan, trained the first female Naval Aviator, I think the training is awesome.  When I was looking around for a commissioning program as a college sophomore who wanted to serve as an officer and not a draftee, I inquired about USMC Platoon Leaders Course.  I opted for the Air Force because I could not fathom finding a vessel at sea from the air much less landing on one!

Much of my experience with foreign officers was in the PME programs, not pilot training.  They are not called “students” in the PME system because the command and staff and war colleges all grant some kind of M.A. in “strategic studies” or some such.  These degrees are not academic but they are accredited.  That being the case, many of these foreign officers come from places without certifiably good academic backgrounds.  This is, of course, unfair to Oxford-educated, or US-educated foreign officers who may possess legitimate undergraduate degrees.

This was brought to my attention when I was teaching a Vietnam War seminar at the Army War College.  I assigned a two-page, double-spaced writing task and offered as possible topics,

“My Lai Massacre, “ “Tet Offensive,” “First Battle of the Ia Drang,” and “Operation Rolling Thunder.”  A Greek colonel picked Rolling Thunder.  His paper was brilliant.  I was thrilled with its insights.  I also had written it for a Vietnam War encyclopedia.  He simply copied it and attached his name to it.

Furious, I went to the dean at the Army War College, telling him I intended to “throw the book” at the offender.  He said that would not happen, then pointed out had it been a US officer, he or she would be out with an Article 15.  But these were “Army War College Fellows” and not “Army War College Students.”

In the mid-1990s the first Russian officers came into the system.  The first Russian colonel assigned to the Air War College brought his wife, daughter and his son-in-law.  He was a jolly fellow who got himself named “co-chairman of the Combined Federal Campaign” along with the mayor of Montgomery, Emory Folmar.  His wife, daughter and son in law were artists who got active with the local art museum.  He spoke on life in Russia and the former Soviet Union to all the civic clubs.

When the day came for him and his family to return to Russia, they showed up at the Montgomery Airport with a lawyer to claim “political asylum.”  His claim was based on his wife, daughter and son-in-law being Jewish and historic anti-Semitism of the Russian system whether under czars, commissars, or whatever the former Soviet thugs now running the place claim to be.  The USAF nearly went nuts claiming he had “no job” in the US.  Judson College claimed they had just hired the colonel as an associate professor of Russian Language and History.  So he stayed.

The Army War College hosted two years worth of Russian officers.  After we got involved in Bosnia, the two students at AWC immediately went home.  The AWC runs followups on all its former “fellows” since in many cases they return home to become senior officers and occasionally take over their respective countries.  Every Russian officer we tracked was out of the Russian Army within a year of returning.

I teach at the University of Alabama and we are loaded with foreign students.  The Chinese are majoring in engineering and computer science, the Middle Easterners in computer science and business administration, and the Vietnamese in whatever but they will be good at it.

The best student I had at Grove City College was a young woman from Vietnam.  Her father, a former ARVN captain, was the chief engineer on the Saigon Electrical grid. Her mother, a former Viet Cong doctor, practiced medicine in Ho Chi Minh City.  They met when she was camp doctor at his reeducation camp.  This young lady graduated Magna Cum Laude and went to medical school.  She runs a clinic in Vung Tau.

[End]

As Prof. Tilford notes, “It’s a complex world. We make alliances and not necessarily friendships.”

Our current ‘alliance’ with Saudi Arabia needlessly cost three innocent lives last week in Pensacola. Those lives were lost due to idiotic policies put in place by political and military leaders over the last 40 years. It remains to be seen whether this latest in a string of unnecessary fatal incidents will result in any changes to the stupidity.

Is America Too Stupid To Survive?

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Did we learn literally no lessons at all from 9/11? – Mark Steyn often rhetorically asks whether America is too stupid to survive. It’s a valid question after this week’s terrorist attack in Pensacola, Florida by a Saudi Arabian pilot who was receiving training at the U.S. Naval station there. It is frankly stunning to many that a pilot from Saudi Arabia, of all places, was actually being trained by the U.S. Navy 18 years after the events of 9/11/2001.

Let’s all remember that 15 of the 19 Al Qaeda terrorists who, according to the official government story, perpetrated the 9/11 attacks that killed 3,000 people, were from Saudi Arabia. Let’s also remember that the terrorists who supposedly flew the planes that day had received their pilot training not in their home countries, but right here in the United States. And not just anywhere in the United States, but in Florida, at the Boeing 727 simulator at SimCenter in Opa-Locka, the FlightSafety Academy in Vero Beach, and the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach.

So now, here we sit 18 years later, and our own Navy personnel are still training members of the Saudi air force at NAS Pensacola. It’s as if the U.S. decided to train Japanese pilots 18 years after Pearl Harbor.

Here’s the result: Three people dead, eight others wounded, and six more Saudi nationals detained for questioning after three of them were seen filming the shootings.

Pathetically, despite the fact that the terrorist had tweeted out an anti-America screed the day prior to the attacks and had hosted a dinner party earlier in the week where he and three others watched videos of mass shootings, the Pentagon yesterday said it just can’t find it within itself to say that this was an act of terrorism.

But Congressman Matt Gaetz, whose district includes Pensacola, was not so shy, saying that “This was not an act of workplace violence, this was not a random murder, this was an act of premeditated terrorism against our country and military on our soil.”

Former Florida Governor and current Senator Rick Scott expressed his deep concerns about the existence of this training program that includes Saudi military personnel, demanding that the Pentagon conduct a formal review:

“We shouldn’t be providing military training to people who wish us harm.” Oh, do tell. But the Navy told Fox News that most of the participants in this training program are from Saudi Arabia:

The majority of the hundreds of foreign aviation students who have participated in the program are from Saudi Arabia, the Navy said. The Naval training program has about 1,500 pilots in total.

In other words, we are basically training Saudi Arabia’s entire air force. And a spokesman for the Navy had this to say about the program back in 2017:

That program is aimed at “immersing international students in our U.S. Navy training and culture” to help “build partnership capacity for both the present and for the years ahead,” Cmdr. Bill Gibson, the center’s officer in charge, said in 2017. “These relationships are truly a win-win for everyone involved.”

So, the Navy leadership is all proud of the fact that it has a program set up to train pilots from the country that was mainly responsible for the 9/11 attacks just 18 years ago. And the story gets even worse: This program has been in effect for 40 years, since 1979.

That means that no one in the Bush Administration, including his military leadership, had the presence of mind to question its advisability in the days following 9/11. It also means that all that lovely “capacity” and “relationship” building Cmdr. Gibson talks about had been going on for 22 years before the Saudi terrorists attacked our country on 9/11/2001.

This is madness. National insanity, plain and simple.

Maybe we are just too stupid to survive as a country.

That is all.

Tales Of Madmen And Mad Women Dominate Today’s News

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

  • Five weeks ago, 58 concert attendees gunned down by a madman in Las Vegas.  One week ago, eight pedestrians and cyclists run down by a madman in New York City.  Yesterday, 26 church-goers killed by a madman in Texas.  God rest all of their souls, and let’s hope this latest mass killing receives the thorough and honest investigation the victims and their families deserve.
  • Speaking of mad men, we have this bizarre story of Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul having been attacked by his crazy liberal neighbor while he was mowing his lawn.  Sen. Paul suffered five broken ribs in the attack and will be home-bound for the foreseeable future.  Anyone who has suffered broken ribs knows that any movement can produce intense pain, thus eliminating any chance of the Senator returning to Washington, DC anytime soon.
  • The attacker, some guy named Rene Boucher,  was arrested by local police and charged with just misdemeanor assault resulting in minor injury.  What the hell?  Five broken ribs – including 3 displaced fractures which can cause major internal injuries – may seem minor to the Bowling Green Police Department, but they wouldn’t feel that way to anyone who has had to suffer through such an injury.  The Bowling Green police aren’t saying if politics was a motivation for the assault, but it sure seems like politics might be playing a role in the nature of the charges.
  • Just another reason why I’ll always be a Dodgers fan – Vin Scully is not a madman.  But the greatest baseball announcer who ever lived and 67-year voice of the Los Angeles Dodgers had this to say on Sunday when asked about his reaction to the ongoing protests of the national anthem by NFL players and coaches:”I have only one personal thought really. And I am so disappointed,” Scully said at an event in Pasadena, Calif. “And I used to love during the fall and winter to watch the NFL on Sunday. And it’s not that I’m some great patriot. I was in the Navy for a year. Didn’t go anywhere, didn’t do anything. But I have overwhelming respect and admiration for anyone who puts on a uniform and goes to war.”

“So the only thing I can do in my little way is not to preach,” he continued. “I will never watch another NFL game.”  Getting the message yet, Mr. Goodell?  Probably not.

  • Long-time Democrat political hack Donna Brazile isn’t a mad man, but she sure sounded like a mad woman in her interview on ABC’s “This Week” Sunday fake news program: “Those telling me to shut up … I tell them, ‘Go to hell.’ I’m gonna tell my story,” she said.   Obviously, the pushback from all the Clinton and Obama shills related to Ms. Brazile’s “tell-all” book about the Clinton theft of the 2016 Democrat presidential nomination is getting pretty intense.
  • The fall-out from excerpts from Ms. Brazile’s book provoked the stooges who ran the Hillary Clinton campaign to publish an “open letter” that contained the following unintentionally hilarious passage:  “We were shocked to learn the news that Donna Brazile actively considered overturning the will of the Democratic voters by attempting to replace Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine as the Democratic Presidential and Vice Presidential nominees. It is particularly troubling and puzzling that she would seemingly buy into false Russian-fueled propaganda, spread by both the Russians and our opponent, about our candidate’s health.”  Even in expressing their outrage over a book, these clowns feel the need to prop up their pathetic Russia collusion fantasy.  They are nothing if not consistent.
  • One of the excerpts from Ms. Brazile’s book seems particularly odd to many observers.  In it she claims that the still-unsolved and very suspicious murder of DNC staffer Seth Rich “haunted her”, causing her to make sure she kept her shades closed at DNC headquarters because she feared snipers.  Given that the DNC’s official position has been to support the Washington, DC police department’s theory that Mr. Rich’s killing was just a “botched robbery” – even though literally nothing had been stolen off of Mr. Rich – it seems odd that the DNC’s chairman at the time would live in fear for her own safety in the aftermath.
  • Then again, if I were engaged in business dealings with the Clintons, I’d probably keep my shades closed, too.  Wouldn’t you?

Just another day in madmen and mad women America.

That is all.

More Dead Americans Thanks To Idiotic Liberal Policies

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

  • Liberals and fake journalists all breathed a sigh of relief yesterday afternoon, when they found out our latest terrorist wasn’t another guy named Mohammed from another Middle Eastern Arab nation.  They all thought it was going to be like an episode from “24” or some other show on network television, where the swarthy-looking terrorist is some guy with an odd name, but who hails from England or Romania or somewhere.  That relief lasted for about five minutes, as they slowly realized that Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov was in fact a radicalized ISIS disciple from one of those -stan countries.  Dang it!
  • So, another radical Muslim commits an act of terror in New York City, ramming a truck rented at a Home Depot in Pasaic, New Jersey into a bunch of innocent people on a bike/pedestrian path.  He screamed “Allahu Akbar” while running around the streets waving a bb pistol and a pellet pistol, and the nitwits at CNN are still confused as to what that might mean.  No surprise there.
  • Given their tradition of blaming such incidents on inanimate objects, liberals and fake journalists all over the country are this morning preparing talking points about the need to ban Home Depots.  Some of you think I’m joking.  Others of you know it’s entirely possible, maybe likely.  Certainly, they’ll want to pass new laws that prevent Home Depots from renting trucks, because, well, trucks.
  • What they won’t want to do is say anything, not one word, about the fact that this Guy With The Very Long Name from one of those -stan countries was in our country under something called the “Diversity Immigrant Program”, a program that is designed to “increase the number of immigrants from countries with low rates of U.S. immigration.”  It will come as a surprise to no one at all – not even liberals, who are always surprised about pretty much every negative impact to our society that their actions inevitably cause – that Mr. Very Long Name was issued that “Diversity Visa” in 2010, by the Barack Obama Administration.
  • Good lord.  This is the most diverse country on the face of the earth.  Do we really need a quota system in our immigration program at this point, a quota system that willy-nilly issues visas simply based on country of origin, with no thought at all on whether or not letting this person in is any kind of real benefit to our society?
  • But this is how liberals think:  “Awwww, poor Guy With The Very Long Name That I Can’t Pronounce is from one of those -stan countries – I don’t really even know which one – so we have to let him in!  It’s racist or something if we don’t, and we have, um, like, compassion or something!”  Really, that is the extent of their thought process in such matters.
  • So Mr. Very Long Name is in our country because liberals are idiots, and eight innocent actual American citizens are dead.  The liberal response to that inconvenient fact is to add a touchy-feely hashtag to their social media posts and temporarily adopt a touchy-feely avatar to their Facebook and Twitter accounts.  By engaging in that tribal behavior, they mindlessly virtue signal their solidarity with the victims, with not a single thought at all given to the fact that those victims are victims directly as a result of tribal, virtue-signaling, liberal thought and policies.
  • So today’s liberal/fake news media joint talking points will be all about banning trucks, banning Home Depot truck rentals, banning Home Depot entirely, banning bb-guns and pellet-guns and passing new laws that force every American who is not a radicalized Muslim terrorist to use whatever pronouns the Muslim terrorists prefer on any given day or face jail time for our insensitivity because it’s the insensitivity of all you old white men that’s the REAL PROBLEM HERE, DAMMIT!  (Hang on while I catch my breath.)
  • But those talking points won’t say one word about the liberal tribal behavior, their pathological need for virtue signaling, and idiotic liberal policies that result, policies which were the direct cause of the death of 8 innocent Americans on the streets of New York City.  Because that would be taking responsibility for their own idiotic actions, which is something liberals are fundamentally, constitutionally, unalterably incapable of doing.  Ever.  Because they’re sensitive and compassionate or something, and you aren’t.

Just another day in dead Americans caused by liberal policies America.

That is all.

Energy Transfer Takes Eco-Terrorism Allegations To Court

Just a few days ago, I wrote a piece commenting on the rarity of an oil and gas operator ― in this case Cabot Oil & Gas ― aggressively pursuing litigation in court instead of taking the path of least resistance. Imagine my surprise ― maybe even delight ― when, just hours after that piece was published, I read the news that Energy Transfer Partners, the builder of the Dakota Access Pipeline, had filed suit in Federal District Court against Greenpeace, EarthFirst and others who organized and participated in the long protest action and subsequent efforts to damage that pipeline.

The complaint, according to the company’s press release, “alleges that this group of co-conspirators (the ‘Enterprise’) manufactured and disseminated materially false and misleading information about Energy Transfer and the Dakota Access Pipeline (‘DAPL’) for the purpose of fraudulently inducing donations, interfering with pipeline construction activities and damaging Energy Transfer’s critical business and financial relationships. The complaint also alleges that the Enterprise incited, funded and facilitated crimes and acts of terrorism to further these objectives. It further alleges claims that these actions violated federal and state racketeering statutes, defamation, and constituted defamation and tortious interference under North Dakota law.”

Robert Duval’s character in “True Grit” might look at that paragraph and call it “bold talk for a one-eyed fat man,” and no doubt proving these claims against well-financed conflict groups like Greenpeace and EarthFirst, which we can be sure will be very effective represented in court, will present a high bar. But we can also be sure that no corporation would pursue such controversial litigation unless its management and legal teams believed there was a strong opportunity for success. The real monetary costs and potential for reputational damage are too high to risk on a case with a low prospect for success.
