Mika, Whoopi – Believe the Women!!!! Wait, no, NOT THOSE WOMEN!!!!!

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

All you #MeToo warriors must feel like complete dopes this morning.  – This was as predictable as it is repugnant: The parade of leftist women who have spent the last year and a half screaming that all women who make accusations of sexual harassment and assault must – must, they say – be believed out of hand are now coming out of the woodwork to say, “Hey, we didn’t mean THOSE women!” Meaning, of course, any woman who dares to make the #MeToo claim about the frontrunner for the Democrat 2020 presidential nomination, Crazy Uncle Joe Biden.

Mika WhatshernamethatIcanneverspellright had her personal coming out as an anti-#MeToo activist on Monday’s “Morning Joe,” saying this about the ex-Vice President:

“There’s a lot of things I know about Joe Biden. I’ve known him for a long time,” Brzezinski stated. “He is extremely affectionate, extremely flirtatious in a completely safe way. I am sure that somebody can misconstrue something he’s done, but as much as I can know what’s in anyone’s heart, I don’t think that there’s a bad intent on his part at all.”

Don’t you just love that phrase, “extremely flirtatious in a completely safe way”? Do you think Morning Mika would have ever in a million years given two seconds’ thought about applying it to any politician with an “R” next to his name? Please.

Never to be outdone in the realm of sucking up to Democrats on national television, never-funny failed comic Whoopi Goldberg used her seat on “The View” to go even further than Morning Mika, saying “I don’t want Joe to stop doing that,” meaning Biden’s habit of placing his hands on women’s shoulders, sniffing their hair and whispering sweet nothings into their ears.

Goldberg went further, attacking Biden’s first accuser, Nevada #MeToo warrior Lucy Flores:

“Joe is a hands-on kind of guy. I’ve never heard anyone—she says she felt violated. I have to take her at her word. But it would have been nice if she turned to him and say, ‘You know what, I don’t really like this. Please don’t do this, Mr. Vice President. I’m not comfortable with this.’ Something, because he’s standing right there.”

Why, it’s just Uncle Joe, Lucy! He’s just an innocent, “hands-on kind of guy” and you need to either tolerate that or chastise the Vice President of the United States (Biden assaulted Flores in 2014) right there to his face! Don’t worry about those Secret Service guys with bulging jackets hiding their .44 magnums – you just get up in the Veep’s face!”

Try to imagine how Whoopi and all the other shrieking SJWs would have reacted had a male host of any television program said that about any #MeToo accuser. That guy would have been out of job in about 30 seconds, yanked off the set by ABC’s management before the show ended.

But it’s Whoopi, attacking a powerless woman who is pointing a finger at a prominent Democrat, so that’s ok.

As Former Democratic Aide Amy Lappos came forward with her own accusations about Biden’s “extremely flirtatious in a very safe way” habit of assaulting women at public events, other prominent Dems were rushing to the Party Patriarch’s defense. Despicable Illinois Senator Dick Durbin said Biden’s actions were “not disqualifying,” while ex-Senator from the same state Carol Mosely Braun called Biden “a man who spent his life being nice to people,” something that no #MeToo activist anywhere has ever said was a valid excuse for Biden’s type of unwanted advances.

Lappos accuses Biden thusly:

“He put his hand around my neck and pulled me in to rub noses with me,” she told the Hartford Courant, recounting their meeting at a 2009 fundraiser. “When he was pulling me in, I thought he was going to kiss me on the mouth.”

Oh, hey, Amy, that’s just sweet, non-threatening ol’ Joe being nice to people. What, you don’t like Eskimo kisses? Are you a racist or something?

Other Biden defenders attacked Flores directly. Rick Wilson attacked her for actually being prepared for the interview in which she made her accusation, saying “As somebody who’s done a hell of a lot of media training I can tell when somebody’s been [prepped] for an interview to within an inch of their life.” Uh, ok.

Randi Weingarten, President of a major teachers union, tweeted “I just hope it’s not true that Flores was prompted to write her essay because of her work with Bernie campaign.” See, you just can’t believe those women; you know, women who worked for Bernie. Wink, wink.

See how this works?

Flores responded to Weingarten’s absurd taunt by noting she hasn’t endorse Sanders or anyone else in the race, and then pointed out that, given the immense wealth of evidence of Biden’s poor behavior towards women that exists in the public domain, “this should have been addressed long ago.”

Bingo.

So, why hasn’t that reckoning happened until now? Lappos answered that one quite succinctly: “I never filed a complaint, to be honest, because he was the vice president. I was a nobody.”

Bingo again.

See, sexual assault is all about power, and Biden, first as a prominent Democrat Senator who was always “nice to people” in Mosely-Braun’s words, and then as Barack Hussein Obama’s Vice President, always had the power.

This is exactly, precisely the very situation that the #MeToo movement and those who, like Mika and Whoopi have pretended to speak for it, was supposed to address. But when push comes to shove, and the guy being accused happens to be the Democrat frontrunner, well, don’t bother these people with silly things like principles and intellectual honesty, and least of all, believing the women.

Not those women.

That is all.

The Left’s War on Women Just Keeps Building

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

A fitting farewell to 41. – It is no secret by now that those who have held the office of the presidency are allowed to plan their own funerals, to include the use of national facilities such as the Capital Rotunda and the glorious National Cathedral. It is a real testament to the personal character of George Herbert Walker Bush that his funeral – in stark contrast to that of a late senator who recently was allowed to disrupt the nation’s business for nine full days – was dignified, serious, understated, filled with self-effacing humor and humility, and completely lacking in any hint of lingering bitterness.

It should also surprise no one that every one of the four eulogists for yesterday’s event – biographer Jon Meacham, former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, former U.S. Senator from Wyoming Alan Simpson, and of course, Bush 41’s son, George W. Bush – were all pitch perfect in their remarks, capturing the essence of the man and building on one another until the final climax. It was an historic day – the first time a presidential son was able to eulogize his presidential father – a somber day, and in the end, a joyful day that celebrated not just the career of the man, but also his essential character.

And that, after all, is what Bush 41 will most be remembered for by most Americans: His character, which was marked by overwhelming love and unending forgiveness. His love for his wife Barbara; his family and friends; his cities of Kennebunkport, Maine and Houston, Texas; and for the country he served throughout his adult life.

There is so much to be learned, so many lessons about the wrong way and the right way to do things from these two recent state funerals, and we can only hope that most Americans learned the most from this week’s events.

Paris Burning Watch:

If you thought the Macron government’s decision to “suspend” the implementation of its confiscatory carbon tax for six months would calm the public and end the protests in Paris, well, think again.

Again, it’s important to remember that the motivation behind Macron’s carbon tax is his fool’s effort to meet the emissions targets to which the French government agreed in the Paris Climate Accords. The other key aspect to remember about that agreement is that developing nations were promised $100 billion per year to help them pay to get their own emissions in line.

And here’s the rub:  Most of that money was going to come from the taxpayers of the United States of America. That’s what America’s Worst Mistake – Barack Hussein Obama – committed us all to doing.  Which is why President Donald Trump (I never tire of typing those three glorious words) pulled our country out of that massive wealth redistribution scam last summer.

So, without America and its deep pockets footing the bills for that redistribution, guess who gets to take up the tab? France and the other “developed” nations of Europe, of course, along with maybe a little help from Canada, Australia, China and Japan.

Most French citizens probably haven’t even figured that part out yet. If you think the past two weeks have been troublesome on the streets of Paris, just wait until they all figure out that these massive new taxes aren’t just to try to pay for France’s participation in that deal, but also to help pay for the participation of the same third world countries who have been flooding France and most of Europe with “refugees” over the last decade.

Just food for thought.

From our You Seriously Just Cannot Make This Stuff Up Department:

This is real, I swear it…

You Seriously Cannot Make This Stuff Up, Part II:

Hey, Bloomberg caught onto this reality just yesterday:

So think about this: The #MeToo movement has ensured that in today’s corporate environment, any man who is accused of anything that could be remotely defined to be “harassment” will be automatically presumed guilty and most likely summarily fired by the company, unless he is a very well-known liberal senior executive, in which case it takes a little while longer for him to be fired, plus he gets a huge severance package like Les Moonves.

What, someone really believed that that environment would not create some sort of backlash? Hell, the stuff talked about in that article isn’t even really a backlash – it’s simple self-defense.

And the truth is, this is nothing new – the focus on sexual harassment in the workplace and the need to find ways to avoid it came about in the 1970s. I worked in the corporate world for 40 years, starting in 1979. More than 20 years ago, I made the personal decision to never take a one-on-one meeting with a female peer or subordinate in an office with the door closed. It wasn’t that I didn’t trust and respect the women I worked with – it was just that you couldn’t take the risk of being accused of anything like that. Because once an accusation is made, whether it is true or not, your reputation at that company is forever damaged.

Having said all of that, sexual harassment in the workplace is a despicable act that needs to be punished. It is honestly mind-boggling to me that we are here in the year 2018, after 40 years of focus on this issue, and there are still men who think this kind of boorish behavior is somehow acceptable. It isn’t, you clowns.

But the way to punish it is not to suspend rules of evidence and the presumption of innocence for the accused, as the leftists in the #MeToo movement insist. What the Bloomberg article truly demonstrates is that this rush to persecute, regardless of how many innocent people become ensnared, actually does more harm to career women than it helps.

It’s just one more aspect of the political left’s war on women, and that war is very real. The rights of genetic females are being diminished in our society every day.

You have the Democrat Party and its judges fully in support of the effort by our news media and pop culture to normalize Sharia Law and the genital mutilation practices of some Muslim sects; you have Democrats passing laws that allow people with male genitalia to use the same public restrooms as your wives and daughters; you have people with male genitalia and musculature being allowed to take athletic trophies away from little girls and share locker rooms with them at many schools. You have a supporter of Sharia Law serving for two years now as co-chair of something called the Women’s March, and a woman-abusing buddy of Louis Farrakhan recently getting elected as the Democrat Attorney General of Minnesota.

It’s a real war, ladies, and you’re the target. And head’s up: It isn’t conservatives who are fighting it.

That is all.

America’s Progressive Sub-Cultures – Festering Cesspits of Anti-Woman Depravity

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

  • Why are all Progressive Democrat-dominated institutions such festering cesspits of anti-woman depravity? – The LA Times has a big expose’ this morning that chronicles complaints by dozens of women about the culture of sexual harassment that exists in California’s state capital building.  California government, of course, is dominated by the Democrat Party, which holds super-majority status in both houses of the legislature, the governor’s office, and thus the vast majority of jobs in the state’s myriad government agencies.  Wait, aren’t the Democrats supposed to be the protectors of women’s rights?  Don’t most liberals and progressives and communists who infest the Democrat Party claim to be feminists?  Well, if you believe those things about Democrats, you haven’t been paying close attention lately.
  • Then there’s ABC, a completely leftwing-dominated fake news organization which apparently saw fit to employ a serial sexual harassment specialist – current very liberal NBC political analyst Mark Halperin – for the better part of a decade without ever doing anything to stop his activities.  Like the good Clinton disciples they all are, ABC’s executives will all no doubt claim they had no idea Halperin was preying on young women in their offices, but trust me, I spent 38 years in corporate workplaces, and whenever there is a pathological sexual harasser active in the workplace, most everyone knows.  Anyone who worked closely with Halperin in ABC’s offices during that time and claims to have had no idea what he was up to is almost certainly lying.
  • And it’s not just ABC where Halperin is concerned.  While HBO has cut ties with Halperin, uniformly liberal NBC continues to employ the creep.  No doubt, we will soon see him resume his regular gig with all his leftwing pals on “Morning Joe”.  Of course, Joe, Mika and all the other liberal regulars on that show claim to have had no idea that their morning coffee buddy was a serial woman abuser.  Those Clintonian talking points sure do get around.
  • And speaking of lying about not knowing, next we have all the Democrat politicians and leftwing actors who are today claiming they had no idea what Harvey Weinstein was up to during his 30-year reign of terror over seemingly every aspiring actress in Hollywood.  Weinstein, who over the years gave and raised millions of dollars for Democrat politicians, is just the tip of the vast iceberg of the rampant anti-woman culture that has dominated the almost uniformly leftwing Hollywood community pretty much since its inception a century ago.  Even the leftwing women – like Meryl Streep, who once called Weinstein “my God” on national television – who claim to be friends of the hundreds of women who were abused by Weinstein and other men who have been exposed thus far, tell us they just had no idea that all this was going on.
  • Think of that:  A century of a culture in which men rampantly and ubiquitously abuse women, and apparently no one noticed until the NYTimes outed the ogre Weinstein on its front page.  Is that really possible?  No, of course it isn’t possible.
  • In all of these cases, in all of these various Democrat-dominated sub-cultures of our society, what is the common denominator (other than that the players are almost all leftwing Democrats)?  The common thread in all of them is that everyone in these Democrat-dominated sub-cultures is happy as a clam to remain quiet while women are serially abused, because they think they stand to benefit from the abusers.
  • The Weinstein example is obvious.  Weinstein wielded enormous influence and power, and produced high profile films in which most everyone in Hollywood wanted to eventually be involved.  No one wanted to cross the Ogre because they knew doing so would inevitably harm their career.  So they remained silent and pretended not to know.
  • With Halperin, ABC had a rising star in the realm of political news.  His presence as the network’s director of political news lent credibility to the operation that it obviously did not deserve.  Plus, doing anything to stop Halperin probably meant litigation and public scandal, and no corporation wants to deal with that.  So ABC execs did nothing and waited for their problem to go away, which he eventually did.
  • In the California legislature, well, everything there is all about power and influence, i.e., just like Harvey Weinstein in Hollywood.  There’s no mystery here.
  • I could go into many other examples, such as the reality that the entire Democrat Party has become active supporters of the implementation of Sharia law in various Muslim communities around the country, and will remain so as long as it can rely on most U.S. Muslims to reliably vote for Democrats.  Nothing says anti-women’s rights like the implementation of Sharia law.
  • But this is today’s Democrat Party, and today’s liberal cultures in America.  Women who continue to support it do so at their own peril.

Just another day in anti-woman Democrats America.

That is all.
