Wednesday News Roundup: Biden Blackmail, More Rice Lies, and Another Fake COVID Study

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II

You have no right to be healthy, Citizen! – In New Jersey, Democrat thug Governor Phil Murphy is literally having people arrested for working out:

Meanwhile, in Michigan, Generalissimo Gretchen Whitmer has done such a bang-up job abusing the fundamental rights of the people in her state that Creepy Uncle Quid Pro China Joe Biden is now vetting her to be his vice presidential running mate. Whitmer confirmed this incredible fact yesterday in an interview on the “Today” show:

“I’ve had a conversation with some folks,” Whitmer said in a Tuesday morning interview on the “Today” show. “It was just an opening conversation and it’s not something that I would call a professional formalized vetting,” she added.

News to Herr Gretchen: If you’ve had an “opening conversation” with the campaign, it means you are being vetted.

“Note to self: Barack was doin’ everything byyyyy the book. mmm, hmmmm, ‘by the book,’ that’s what Barack always told us. I’m just sayin’, that man did everything byyyyy the book.” – Ric Grenell declassifed the previously-withheld sections of the infamous “memo to self” that Obama National Security Advisor Susan Rice wrote while President Trump was being sworn into office on January 20, 2017.

Why Is The Susan Rice Role In The Obama Spying Story A Big Deal ...

That memo was designed to provide a white-washed summary of the January 5 White House meeting during which Obama revealed he knew all the details of his administration’s spying operation on General Mike Flynn, a fact that stunned Deputy AG Sally Yates speechless. The declassified piece of the memo reveals that a) James Comey’s FBI had zero information of any wrongdoing by General Flynn, and b) that Obama and Comey nonetheless discussed withholding information regarding relations with Russia from national security briefings provided to the Trump transition team.

Despicable.

Big news story on the cable news channels this morning is that Pier 1 Imports is bankrupt and going out of business. Folks, Pier 1 Imports has been pretty consistently “going out of business” for about 20 years now. It is – or at least originally was – a sister company to Radio Shack under the Tandy Company umbrella. “Going out of business” has long been its core business model.

Here we go again.A new statistical modeling study released yesterday will give the fear porn mongers in the Democrat Party and the corrupt news media new ammo in their fight to keep the country shut down through election day:

A new study suggests the number of Americans who will die after contracting the novel coronavirus is likely to more than triple by the end of the year, even if current social distancing habits continue for months on end.

The study, conducted by the Comparative Health Outcomes, Policy and Economics Institute at the University of Washington’s School of Pharmacy, found that 1.3 percent of those who show symptoms of COVID-19 die, an infection fatality rate that is 13 times higher than a bad influenza season.

“COVID-19 infection is deadlier than flu — we can put that debate to rest,” said Anirban Basu, a health economist at the University of Washington who authored the study.

[End]

Among the study’s no-doubt many faulty assumptions is that it assumes no advances in treatment regimes for those infected as doctors and laboratories learn more and more about the Wuhan Virus. It also assumes rising outbreaks of the virus as states reopen their economies, thus ignoring the real-world experience in the states that are currently doing just that.

In other words, this “study” is just like a new Fox News poll: An exercise dedicated to creating a knowingly-false, outrageous result designed to create “news” stories for corrupt media outlets.

So tiresome.

Quid Pro Joe live and in action!Audio tapes were released on Tuesday of  several 2016 phone calls between Quid Pro Joe Biden and former Ukraine President Petro Poroshenko. The calls present clear proof that Biden – then serving as Obama’s point man on Ukraine policy – engaged in outright blackmailing of the Ukrainian President, withholding $1 billion in guaranteed U.S. loans from the Ukraine until Poroshenko had gotten rid of Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin, who was at the time investigating the Ukrainian gas company that had given Biden’s ne’er-do-well son Hunter a highly-lucrative board position.

This is, of course, exactly what Biden himself admitted to doing at a public event in a video released last fall. The audio tapes of the actual conversations simply confirm Biden’s bragging about the blackmail.

Remember, folks, this whole “quid pro quo” rubrick was the exact allegation the Democrats concocted last August as justification for mounting an impeachment hoax against President Donald Trump.

You seriously could never make this stuff up.

Bring in the clowns – there ought to be clowns. – The Dallas Count Commissioners Court has long been little more than a running clown show, led by long-time radical leftwing commissioner John Wiley Price.

On Tuesday, the commissioners  beclowned themselves yet again, as reported by The Blaze.:

The Dallas County Commissioners Court has accused Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R) of exhibiting white supremacy after the Republicans condemned the actions of State District Judge Eric Moyé, who jailed salon owner Shelley Luther for reopening her business in defiance of the state’s lockdown order.

Moyé is black, and Abbott, Patrick, and Luther are all white.

What are the details?

On Tuesday, the commission passed a resolution declaring that “Dallas County residents suffer as the world gazes upon the travesty of justice caused when the Governor of the State of Texas and Dan Patrick, Lieutenant Governor (who appears to spend an excessive amount of time with his Conservative radio talk show) intervened in a ruling against a media-manufactured cause celebre, a lawbreaker and owner of Salon a la Mode.”

The document went on to say that the county “had its reputation questioned and ridiculed as this staged-circus, was reduced to issues of race and the superiority of Anglos over all other Americans, which was exhibited by the Governor and the Lt. Governor’s reintroduction of Dred Scott v. Sanford which briefed by any reasonable party reads; ‘a Black man (Moyé) has no rights that a White man (Trump, Abbott, Patrick) are bound to respect!”

[End]

Again, you could never make this stuff up. It is just too absurd for the human mind to ever conceive out of whole cloth.

That is all.

Tuesday News Roundup: As Red States Reopen, Blue States Continue to Suffer

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Bolstered by the fact that his state just experienced its lowest numbers since April 3 in terms of new COVID-19 infections, hospitalizations and deaths despite expanded testing, Texas Governor Greg Abbott continued to expand one of the nation’s most successful reopening plans on Monday. Abbott’s Phase II will allow bars, bowling alleys, wine tasting rooms and other entertainment venues to reopen at 25% capacity this Friday, and allows restaurants, salons and other already-opened businesses to expand to 50% capacity on that day.

Here are other details of Abbott’s Phase II, as reported by the Dallas Morning News:

– Effective immediately, daycare centers can reopen, as can massage businesses, tattoo parlors and piercing studios, so long as there is at least 6 feet of social distancing between operating work stations.

– On Friday, restaurants can increase their capacity to 50%. Bars and several entertainment venues, including bowling alleys, bingo halls, skating rinks, rodeos and aquariums,, can reopen at 25% capacity.

– On May 29, zoos can reopen at 25% capacity.

– On May 31, youth camps can reopen. So can professional sports venues – including basketball, baseball, softball, golf, tennis, football, and car racing – so long as there are no in-person spectators.

In contrast to the fright tactics pushed by the corrupt news media on behalf of the Democrat Party, Texas has seen no surge whatsoever in Wuhan Virus cases during the course of its reopening, and continues to have by far the lowest rate of death per capita among the nation’s large states. Abbott did choose to delay the Phase II implementation for the El Paso and Amarillo areas, but that was due to isolated outbreaks of the virus among the employees in two meatpacking plants.

Meanwhile, as reopenings in red states like Texas, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Oklahoma, Arkansas and others continued to run along smoothly, here is a sampling of what Democrat governors and mayors were inflicting on the people in the blue states:

–  New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said his city’s beaches would remain closed through the end of May, and threatened to have his police literally pull people “right out of the water” if they are caught swimming in the ocean;

Toadish Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker told reporters that he has amended his own lockdown order to now include fines of $25,000 and imprisonment for any business owner who dares to defy his authority;

Cartman: Respect My Authority (With images) | Video games for kids ...

In Michigan, Generalissimo Gretchen Whitmer, who has been under tremendous pressure to lift her jackboot off the necks of her citizens, relented a bit by announcing a modest reopening of some businesses in the state’s upper peninsula and far northern region. But Herr Gretchen will keep the rest of the state – and the vast preponderance of her population – under a strict and utterly failed lockdown policy through at least May 28;

In Oregon, Alinskyite Governor Kate Brown found herself on the losing end of a lawsuit challenging her own insane lockdown early in the day, as a state district judge ruled that businesses can reopen because, you know, the Constitution and stuff. However, by day’s end, the reliable leftist brutes on the state’s supreme court had reversed that decision, reinstating Brown’s counterproductive policy while the case goes through the appeals process;

In New Jersey, goofy Democrat Gov. Phil Murphy found himself in a bit of a conundrum as local law enforcement officers are beginning to tire of enforcing his mindless edicts. When a gym operator in Bellmawr announced he was going to reopen on Monday, several hundred supporters showed up to support him. Police arriving on the scene surveyed the crowd, informed them they were all in violation of the Governor’s order, and then, smiling, told them to “have a good day.” Murphy responded as bullies always do, threatening the owners that they would “have a different experience” should they try to open again on Tuesday;

Despite California’s having one of the lowest rates of infections and deaths per capita among the large population states, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, in an interview designed to show how his city is not in total lockdown, made clear his city would remain in its current lockdown condition until well into the summer before he would even begin studying ways to allow businesses to reopen.

The United States is a divided country, and we are going to come out of this Wuhan Virus episode in a situation in which the red states will be miles ahead of the blue states economically and in terms of the individual freedoms of the citizens. You can be certain that thugs like Eric Garcetti and Bill de Blasio and  Gretchen Whitmer are going to continue exercising any authority they can get away with against their citizens even after the virus has run its course.

We must keep in mind that no leftist is going to voluntarily surrender power once they have obtained it. That will only be done if the U.S. Department of Justice and the courts move to force them to relent.

Make no mistake about it: The Democrat thugs themselves understand the long-term economic ramifications of whey they are currently doing, which is why they and Nancy Pelosi are in such a frenzy now to force congress to bail the states out. Many blue states were already teetering on the brink of insolvency before the viral gift from China arrived at our shores, and now their fate is pretty much sealed.

But states like Texas, Florida and many others that have a constitutional requirement to balance their budgets are not in any similar situation. Thus, a congressional bailout would in fact be a situation in which red states that have properly managed themselves would be forced to bail out blue states that have been badly mismanaged by Democrats for decades.

It’s a soft civil war, folks. Let’s pray it doesn’t expand into a hard one.

That is all.

GOP States vs. Democrat States: The Differences are Very Clear

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

With Texas Governor Greg Abbott now moving fairly aggressively to reopen Texas and its economy (the 10th largest on earth), the differences in approach between Republican governors and Democrat governors are now becoming increasingly stark.

Abbott now joins Republican governors like Brian Kemp in Georgia, Henry McMaster in South Carolina, Ron DeSantis in Florida, Kristi Noem in South Dakota and Kevin Stitt in Oklahoma in lending a sense of urgency to getting businesses reopened and people back to work, rescinding stay-at-home orders in the process. Noem, along with Republican governors in 6 other states (Arkansas, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, Utah and Wyoming) in fact never even issued such an order for her state.

Unsurprisingly, not a single Democrat governor showed similar restraint. Democrats literally live for the chance to lord political power over common people, and the Wuhan Virus provided the best such opportunity most of them have ever had to do so. As New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy told Tucker Carlson with a smile on his face recently, he “wasn’t even thinking about the Bill of Rights” when he issued his own order, and there can be little doubt that most, if not all, other Democrat governors also never gave such arcane concepts as individual freedoms a second thought. Drs. Fauci and Birx had advised governors to use their judgment in ordering their people to stay at home, and by God, the judgment of every Democrat was to knee-jerk to such an order.

Today, as Republicans are now rescinding the orders they issued, here are the actions we have seen in recent days from Democrat governors around the country:

Virginia Governor Ralph KKK Coonman Northam – On April 15, he extended his order for the closure of “non-essential” businesses to May 8. On April 23, he extended his ban on “non-essential” surgeries for another week (there sure is a lot of “non-essential” stuff going on in Virginia, huh?). On March 31, he extended his stay-at-home order through June 10. Truly, this a man on a mission.

Michigan’s plastic-faced Strong-Woman Gretchen Whitmer – After earlier extending her stay-at-home order through May 15, announced on Monday that she wants the legislature to step in to further extend it for another 28 days. Whitmer claims to have the power to do this herself (power she has exercised, rightly or wrongly, already on several separate occasions) but after receiving pushback from members of both parties in the legislature, she is now looking for political cover.

California Governor Gavin Newsom – While Newsom has surprisingly performed fairly reasonably during this crisis – with notable exceptions, like getting burned when he purchased thousands of Chinese respirators that don’t work – it is important to note that his own stay-at-home order doesn’t even have a planned expiration date. In mid-April, he rolled out 6 requirements that must be met in order for him to begin rolling that order back. As of today, those requirements have not been met, and aren’t likely to be met anytime soon.

Pennsylvania Governor Tom WolfExtended his stay-at-home order through May 8.

New Jersey Governor Phil MurphyOn Monday announced that his own indefinite stay-at-home order would remain in place “until further notice.” At the same time, he outlined a gradual plan for reopening that hinges almost entirely on the current false media narrative about “more testing.” In other words, he’s really enjoying this exercise of authoritarian power and has no plans to give it up anytime soon.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo – What can you say about this guy? His feckless lack of leadership and preparation have been largely responsible for this outbreak across the United States, and the media-directed national panic that led to so many needless draconian restrictions across the country, as governors of both parties failed to realize that their states were not like New York, not at all. Cuomo still, to this day, has not shut down the petri dishes on rails that are New York City’s subway cars. To. This. DAY. He got caught short on ventilators because, in 2015, he made the decision to forego buying 15,000 of them at bargain prices, spending the money instead on nebulous “climate change” nonsense. He has utterly and completely failed to protect senior citizens living in the state’s nursing homes, which have been the centers for a huge portion of New York’s massive COVID-19 death toll.

Naturally, Cuomo’s performance in this pandemic has made him a folk hero to the corrupt news media and most Democrat voters, and he is a virtual shoe-in to be re-elected to an unprecedented fourth term in office this November, 2022.

Holy crap.

It’s hard to be optimistic about America’s future when voters keep electing and re-electing Democrats to positions of power. Granted, Republicans aren’t a hell of a lot better, but as we have seen during this epidemic given to us by the ChiComs, they at least exhibit some level of respect for the rights of their citizens, and observe the need to take those into consideration while also taking actions necessary to protect the public.

Where the respective governors of each party are concerned, the contrasts in approach are in fact very stark and unambiguous.

Keep that in mind when you cast your votes in November.

That is all.

Warning: Wednesday Saw a Major Shift in Shut-Down Messaging

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Fair warning: There will be no v-shaped recovery for the U.S. economy. That is the only conclusion that can be drawn from the narrative that was rolled out at Wednesday evening’s press conference at the White House.

If we are lucky, there will be a u-shaped recovery, but the horizontal part of that u just keeps getting longer if President Trump and the nation’s governors continue to allow the government to be run based on NIH and CDC opinions and statistical models that have proven to be disastrously wrong every step of the way. Last night at the White House, it was obvious that these medical professionals and their models continue to hold absolute sway over the President’s policy agenda.

This is a President who barely a week ago was raring to get this economy back up and running, promising that it would be quick and that economic growth would return in no time. In press conferences throughout the first two weeks of this month, he appeared to be signaling to governors – especially Republicans – that the time had come for them to proceed as quickly as they deemed to be safe to get businesses in their states open again.

Last night, President Trump took great pains to call out Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, a Republican, for moving too fast. He literally threw the guy under the bus of the federal government, and that’s a very large and powerful bus.

Careful observers who have taken the time necessary to gain an understanding of how he communicates – which would, of course, exclude each and every corrupt member of the White House press corps – know that he very rarely says anything without an intended purpose behind it. The obvious purpose behind his going out of his way to slam Governor Kemp last night was to send a signal to other governors to slow down. And you can be sure that timid governors like Greg Abbott in Texas, who set up a “strike force” consisting of no fewer than 13 committees and subcommittees in order to cover his butt politically, will only be too happy to oblige.

The other sudden shift in messaging that took place last night was the dominant message about the absolute certainty of another outbreak of this gift from the communist Chinese government coming this fall. That came not just from Drs. Fauci and Birx, but also from CDC Director Robert Redfield. This topic in fact dominated the first half hour of the briefing. That was not an accident.

The implications of this are ominous, to say the least, since this new narrative now provides power-grabbing governors like Gretchen Whitmer (MI), Phil Murphy (NJ), Ralph KKK Northam (VA) and others with more justification to crack down on their respective populations even further, and to keep their edicts in place at least through the end of 2020. You should expect them and other governors now move to crack down on demonstrators who continue to exercise their constitutional rights of peaceful assembly and free speech.

All of this over a virus whose mortality rate may be lower than the common, seasonal flu according to the most current data.

Amazing.

It’s amazing how easily and timidly we have allowed our freedoms to slip away. Churches and synagogues remain closed all across the country. How many of them will be able to survive, given that they all are in fact business operations that have bills to pay.

Schools remain closed at least until September and maybe longer than that, even though we know that this bug poses a real risk to almost no one under the age of 30 or so. Even if we allow them to reopen in June, half of this country’s restaurants are going to disappear, along with their thousands of jobs. The list of the economic carnage deriving from this doctor-led government decision making goes on and on and on.

Now, take a look at this:

Regardless of how many “stimulus” bills congress passes, they cannot prevent the absolute carnage that is inevitable in our economy unless we move quickly to restart it. And the truth that no one in government is telling you right now is that they can only continue to try to mask the economic carnage with these debt-funded bills for maybe another month or two. After that, you and your cities and states are going to be on your own. Food lines like this are going to be coming to your city soon, if they haven’t already appeared.

Check this out:

And this:

These are just samples of the tools various levels of government know they will have to begin using in earnest to control your behavior once the economic devastation can no longer be masked. If that doesn’t scare the hell out of you, what will? What’s it gonna take?

By the way, I wear a mask every time I go anywhere, which these days is pretty much limited to the grocery store. I recommend everyone else do the same. I do that because it seems to make good common sense, and I will again remind you all that barely 2 weeks ago, the Democrats and corrupt media toadies were screaming that the very same masks that they are mandating today were not effective in preventing the spread of this Wuhan Virus.

We lose ~40,000 Americans every year to car accidents, and it would be a great idea if everyone wore helmets and kevlar vests every time we get into a car. But I don’t see the government mandating anyone do that because the economic costs would be too high. So all those lives continue to be lost each year and nobody blinks.

Or hey, it would be much safer and “save lives” if everyone just quit driving. But the government doesn’t mandate that because of the economic carnage that would cause.

Oh. But what about that “it’s worth it if it saves just one life” talking point we keep hearing? Why doesn’t that apply here? Think about it.

We lose ~40-60,000 people a year to the seasonal flu, mainly because those nifty vaccines Fauci and Bill Gates keep touting don’t work. But nobody at the NIH or the CDC says we should mandate wearing masks to prevent those deaths from happening. So all those lives continue to be lost each year and nobody blinks.

Again, isn’t it worth it if it saves just one life? Guess not.

How many kids die or are severely injured on trampolines each year? But they keep dying and nobody blinks. This could go on and on.

We have a choice in our society: We can either learn to live with this virus and focus on treating the ill, as we have learned to live with and treat the seasonal flu, or we can see our economy and thus our society collapse. That is our choice as a people, and at the moment it appears that those in favor of bringing about societal collapse are carrying the day, all the way up to the White House.

Amazing.

That is all.

Phil Murphy Passes Gretchen Whitmer on Mindless Despot Ladder With Tulip Ban

The Evening Campaign Update (I Swear I Don’t Make This Stuff Up)

I kid you not, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy continued his campaign as an aspirational 3rd-world despot last night by having his state attorney’s office deny the state’s citizenry the right to take an in-car tour of a tulip farm. The man appears determined to wrest the title of the nation’s most abusive governor away from Michigan’s plastic-faced Gretchen Whitmer.

Image

Apparently taking a cue from Whitmer’s edict denying Michiganders the ability to purchase seeds to plant their own flowers, Murphy is now denying New Jersyans the right to even look at a field of flowers from their car. You seriously could never make this stuff up.

As reported by the guys over at The Conservative Treehouse, Dalton Farms, a business established in 1790, was allowing people to come drive through their 99-acre farm to view the beautiful, blooming tulips there while never leaving their car.  The farm owners took care to limit the number of cars who could be on the farm at any one time and, at the end of the tour, allowed the tourists to purchase a bouquet of the lovely flowers while observing social distancing rules.

There was no risk here, no danger to anyone, no reason whatsoever for the state to intervene: This was just a local business providing a few people a wonderful opportunity to have a pleasant day out in a way that completely conforms to all guidelines issued by the White House Coronavirus Task Force, the CDC and the NIH.

And yet, on Sunday evening, the owners of Dalton Farms posted the following notice:

This action by New Jersey’s government is not just unjustifiable and despicable: It is simply un-American. It is the act of power-mad lunatics who have no respect for – or probably no real knowledge of – the rights of individual Americans.

When Gov. Murphy last week told Tucker Carlson that he “didn’t have the bill of rights in mind” when he issued his Wuhan Virus-related edicts, he damn sure wasn’t kidding.

It goes without saying, of course, that both Murphy and Whitmer are Democrats. What else would they possibly be?

With Perfect Timing, Trump Signals That it is Time to Be America Again

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

This is how the loss of our liberties begins. – It begins not with the clatter of gunfire but with 300 million citizens timidly holed up in their homes watching TV 18 hours a day, hoping for permission from some unelected bureaucrats at the NIH and the CDC to go to the grocery store or maybe to see a doctor  to check out that disturbing mole on our back after putting it off for two months .

It begins not with tanks rolling into downtown Lansing, but with the power-mad Michigan Governor with the plastic face ordering you to keep your motor boat in the dock but giving you permission to use your kayak.

Ahoy, comrades!

It begins not with the sudden appearance of an armada of Chinese or Russian ships off the coasts of Santa Barbara and Charleston, but with the feckless Governor of New Jersey flippantly telling Tucker Carlson that he “wasn’t thinking about the Bill of Rights” when he made the decision to revoke the rights of every citizen of New Jersey to go to church, to peaceably assemble, and to even breathe the air in public parks.

He wasn’t thinking about the Bill of Rights?!? Just what in the hell does he think his job actually entails? Just for grins, I looked up the oath of office that must be recited by every newly-elected New Jersey governor. It reads as follows:

“I, , elected governor of the state of New Jersey, do solemnly promise and swear that I will diligently, faithfully and to the best of my knowledge, execute the said office in conformity with the powers delegated to me; and that I will to the utmost of my skill and ability, promote the peace and prosperity and maintain the lawful rights of the said state. So help me God.”

Exactly where does the New Jersey Governor think those “lawful rights of the said state” derive from? He apparently has not the slightest clue. He just issued the orders he issued because he decided he had the power to do it, and as long as he has the consent of law enforcement and of the governed people of his state, he apparently does, regardless of what the Bill of Rights might say.

It is interesting that we are now seeing various governors – most of them Democrats like those mentioned above – now forming up what they are calling “blue ribbon panels” to advise them about how to go about reopening the schools, churches and businesses in their states. I find it even more interesting that not a single one of these governors, Republican or Democrat, felt the need to assemble any similar panels in February and March to advise them on how to close those things down – and order people shut into their homes – in ways that might to some extent avoid trampling on the constitutional rights of their citizens.

Whether you agree or disagree with the tactics the state and federal governments have employed to combat the spread of this China-induced global plague, the utter lack of consideration of the basic, fundamental rights of the citizens that has been on display for the last two months has to be incredibly disturbing to you. Perhaps even more disturbing has been the manner in which 99% of the American public has so timidly accepted these draconian intrusions and deprivations with hardly a peep of protest.

I’ve never been much of a fan of street protests, but I have to admit I was actually gratified to see all those thousands of Michiganders exercising their rights to peaceably assemble in Lansing on Wednesday, gridlocking the downtown area around the state capitol in their cars while also observing the plastic-faced Governor’s social distancing edicts. The message they sent was ideal: Look, we’re willing to help you fight this virus, but your stupidity and thuggery needs to end, or you will soon lose the consent of the governed.

We see similar pockets of rising discontent now popping up in other states – like Virginia – whose governors have also gone overboard with their lusts to impose their will on the people. Virginia Gov. KKK Blackface Baby-Killer Northam thinks he can keep his citizens shut-in through mid-summer now. I suspect he will have another think coming pretty soon if he does not begin to relent.

All of which means that President Donald Trump’s timing in rolling out his Plan for Opening Up America Again on Thursday was just right. He has given the unelected bureaucrats their six weeks of shutting America down to try to “flatten the curve,” but is now signaling that that’s all the time they’re going to get, and it is now time to start systematically putting America back to work. It’s time to begin to reopen our restaurants and our theaters and our public parks again. It’s time to start getting our kids back into schools, to play some baseball and to fill our churches, cathedrals and synagogues again.

It isn’t just time to open America up again: It’s time to be America again.

Let’s roll.

That is all.
