Trump Campaign Banishes Bloomberg News – But Why Not CNN?

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

[Note: Today’s Campaign Update will be on a delayed morning schedule from November 30 through  December 4.]

Good move. Now do CNN and the New York Times and the Washington Post and… – Trump Campaign Chairman Brad Parscale announced on Monday that the campaign would no longer be offering press credentials to anyone representing Bloomberg News. That inevitable move – labeled as “surprising” by many corrupt media outlets – comes after an internal memo written by Bloomberg News editor-in-chief John Micklethwait announced that the outlet would continue its “tradition of not investigating Mike (and his family and foundation) and we will extend the same policy to his rivals in the Democratic primaries.”

So, Bloomberg News desperately wants to be considered a “news” outlet, yet its own Editor-in-Chief proudly boasts to his staff that it is in fact a campaign tool for its owner and his opponents in the Democrat presidential primary. In other words, Bloomberg is just another CNN, NYTimes, WaPo, MSNBC and on and on and on. The sad part of that is that Bloomberg actually does a fine job of business reporting, and if it had just stuck to that mission, this reputational black eye would have never come about.

The only really “surprising” thing about this move is that the Trump Campaign’s action hasn’t been followed – or frankly, led – by a similar action being taken by the White House press team. Why should a self-admitted propaganda outlet for a Democrat Party that has changed its mission from governing  to attempting a never-ending coup d’etat effort be allowed on the grounds of the White House? It makes no sense, just as it makes no sense that Jim Acosta still holds a press pass and John Brennan still maintains his security clearance. You might as well be wheeling a Trojan Horse through the White House gates.

Here is the text of Parscale’s press release announcing the campaign’s decision:

The decision by Bloomberg News to formalize preferential reporting policies is troubling and wrong.

Bloomberg News has declared that they won’t investigate their boss or his Democrat competitors, many of whom are current holders of high office, but will continue critical reporting on President Trump. As President Trump’s campaign, we are accustomed to unfair reporting practices, but most news organizations don’t announce their biases so publicly. Presented with this new policy from Bloomberg News, our campaign was forced to determine how to proceed.

Since they have declared their bias openly, the Trump Campaign will no longer credential representatives of Bloomberg News for rallies or other campaign events. We will determine whether to engage with individual reporters or answer inquiries from Bloomberg News on a case-by-case basis. This will remain the policy of the Trump campaign until Bloomberg News publicly rescinds its decision.

Here is the key sentence from that release: “As President Trump’s campaign, we are accustomed to unfair reporting practices, but most news organizations don’t announce their biases so publicly.” While it is true that Bloomberg’s internal memo is an especially egregious admission of journalistic bias, the reality is that we have seen similar admissions of toadying to the Democrat daily narrative by CNN, the New York Times and other major outlets.  Sure, the policies haven’t been “formalized,” but how does John Micklethwait differ from multiple leaked memos we’ve seen from Dean Baquet at the Times and Jeff Zucker at CNN?

It’s exactly the same thing.

So yeah, the singling out of Bloomberg for this form of banishment from access to the President’s re-election campaign is a little surprising, but only because similar action wasn’t taken across a broad spectrum of utterly corrupt propaganda outlets.

A pox on all their houses.

That is all.

Michael Wolff Laments a Magazine Industry that is Dying of Self-Inflicted Wounds

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

[Note: Today’s Campaign Update will be on a delayed morning schedule from November 30 through  December 4.]

Great, but don’t go making promises you can’t keep. – Political fantasy writer Michael Wolff, the author of the anti-Trump fantasy “Fire and Fury,” promised in a Friday interview with Spectator USA that he plans to say no more about President Donald Trump.

“Every magazine I have ever worked for, and I have worked for them all, is dead or will die shortly,” he explained. “For another thing, Donald Trump is the one consuming subject, sucking all views and opinions into his void, and on this issue I have nothing left to say.”

“Still, even with the collapse of so many journalistic enterprises, many of my former colleagues still go on at great and constant unpaid length on social media or, scrambling for a pay-per-appearance contract, as desperately willing pundits on cable television. Why? People are afraid, it seems, to say nothing,” Wolff proclaimed. “I’m looking forward to trying.”

Ok, so, what this most likely means is the spinner of fables has a new book coming out early next year and has begun his promotional tour early. But really, who gives a damn? He’s a fantasy writer, and not a very good one.

What caught my eye about his comments, though, was this part: “Every magazine I have ever worked for, and I have worked for them all, is dead or will die shortly.” Bingo. And why is that?

Well, we had a wonderful example of why that’s the case just this past weekend, didn’t we? That would be the incident with near-dead Newsweek publishing a false report by Jessica Kwong that the President planned to spend his Thanksgiving Day “tweeting” and “golfing” when in fact he was in the process of making a wearying trip to Afghanistan for a surprise visit with the U.S. troops there.

Kwong was fired as a result, but the name of the specific reporter who filed this specific piece is not even relevant anymore, since her false report was just another in an unending procession of this kind of intentionally false report over the last four years, all designed to damage the President’s reputation. It is seriously as if every newspaper, magazine and TV outlet in America is in a competition to see who among them can abandon all pretense to journalistic ethics the most quickly and abhorrently.

The disgraceful hackery taking place at Newsweek is just a symptom of an industry on its death bed. Newsweek is the magazine version of the New York Times and the newspaper business, or CNN and the TV “news” industry. They are all dying along with the profession of journalism generally

The journalist hacks like to blame the slow-motion death of their industry on the Internet, and the sucking up of all the advertising revenues by Google and Facebook. But that’s a cop-out, an attempt to deflect the blame away from their own failings.

The print industry awoke to the threat posed by the digital space a quarter of a century ago. It is incumbent upon any business that becomes faced with a sudden existential threat to adapt and work harder to improve its product offering and become more competitive.

But by and large, newspapers and magazines reacted not by becoming more competitive and improving their product, but by repeatedly laying people off, cutting their product to shreds and raising prices. With every subsequent cut and price increase, the quality of the product grew worse.

Any sense of journalistic ethics was gradually tossed to the winds along with the jobs of researchers, copy editors and other quality control functions. Thus, we end up with today’s situation at most of these publications with a single person who was poorly-educated in some J-school to do one of these jobs trying to do all of them in a mad rush to get something, anything posted out on the website that might attract some clicks.

And that’s how you end up with a Jessica Kwong – although the name makes no real difference at all because it could have been any one of thousands of people doing the exact same thing every day – becoming the sacrificial lamb at Newsweek for doing nothing more than following that fake publication’s current business model.

The magazine industry is in fact dying a death by slow-motion suicide and Michael Wolff, a guy who made his living by penning highly-sensationalized fantasies in order to maximize clicks, is in fact one of the major culprits. If he can now really make himself “say nothing” on any subject as promised in that interview, he’d be doing his industry – and everyone else – a huge favor.

That is all.

The New York Times and Newsweek Deliver Thanksgiving Disgraces

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

[Note: Today’s Campaign Update will be on a delayed morning schedule from November 30 through  December 4.]

Ok, so, what else would we expect from the New York Times, right? Right. Still, the headline that ran with an op/ed piece by the corrupt newspaper’s inept economist, Paul Krugman, betrayed a desperate effort to plumb new depths of journalistic malfeasance by the newspaper of fake record:

Image

I couldn’t tell you what Krugman says in his latest bit of lame-brainery because it’s behind the Times’s firewall, and we here at Today’s Campaign Update are not in the habit of lending monetary support to the faking of America’s news. But let’s be honest: Nothing Krugman has to say is worth noting anyway. After all, he’s the circus clown who predicted that the election of Donald Trump to the presidency would bring about the total collapse of the U.S. economy, a collapse from which America would “never recover.”

D’oh!

It’s fair to note that Krugman and the Times were not the only corrupt fake journalist/fake news outlet to disgrace themselves on Thanksgiving. Jessica Kwong, a fake reporter for the on-life-support Newsweek – which no longer can afford to exist as a real magazine but still fakes the news in the digital space – issued a tweet early on Thanksgiving that said:

Image

But later in the day, news broke that President Trump had in fact flown out to Afghanistan in the wee hours of the morning to make a surprise visit and spend Thanksgiving with U.S. military personnel at Bagram Air Field. There he not only dined with the troops, he actually served them their dinner, laughed and joked with them and just generally enjoyed a rare chance to be with real Americans and the troops he loves and supports:

This early afternoon revelation led to the fake, corrupt journalist Kwong issuing this “correction”:

An “honest mistake.” Yeah, sure, right, uh-huh. That’s an interesting way to describe going to press with a completely false story with zero sourcing or journalistic process in just another corrupt effort to do harm to the President’s reputation. In today’s 100% dishonest, corrupt media, there is no such thing as an “honest mistake.”

Kwong’s humiliation led to the creation of this sterling Twitter meme:

Image

To be honest, I don’t remember a time during my 60+ years on earth when Newsweek was a reputable news source, but I suppose it might have been the case before I was born. In any event, it and the New York Times have certainly surrendered all pretense over the last four years.

That is all.

New York Times Attempt to Craft a Narrative for the Coup Cabal Fails Miserably

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

If you pay close attention to the fake reporting of the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN and a few other Deep State fake news organizations, you can easily see how the FBI/CIA/State Department goons who choreographed the three year “Russia Collusion” fantasy play are trying to manipulate the public narrative in advance of the release of the Horowitz Report and the slow-rolling Barr/Durham investigation.

A piece published by the Times on Saturday serves as a prime example. The report, written by Adam Goldman and William Rashbaum, two of the most reliable deep state mouthpieces in the media, is chock-full of dozens of references to anonymous sources, all of whom most likely helped organize and lead the plot to fix the 2016 election for the Pantsuit Princess, and then to mount a coup d’etat on American soil. Although the reporters dutifully attempt to carefully craft the narrative here as a defense of treasonous snakes like Peter Strzok, Andrew McCabe, James Comey and other high officials who participated in this long-running betrayal of the United States, it fails miserably to do so.

What we end up with instead is a very long-winded indictment of these snakes in a piece that contains a series of revelations that will damage the reputations and defense efforts of everyone involved.

Let’s begin with the startling admission contained in this paragraph (I will add emphasis throughout the excerpts from the NY Times piece):

In his review, Mr. Durham has asked witnesses about the role of Christopher Steele, a former intelligence official from Britain who was hired to research Mr. Trump’s ties to Russia by a firm that was in turn financed by Democrats. Law enforcement officials used some of the information Mr. Steele compiled into a now-infamous dossier to obtain a secret wiretap on a Trump campaign adviser, Carter Page, whom they suspected was an agent of Russia.

So, here is the New York Times, the mouth organ of the Deep State narrative, admitting – albeit deep in the bowels of a very long piece – that the Steele Dossier was indeed funded by “Democrats.” The Times of course cannot go so far as to be specific about which “Democrats” – i.e., the Coughing Crook Campaign and the DNC – were involved in funding the effort, because that much truth in one article would cause most of its upper East Side readership to faint dead away with the vapors.

But putting that little nugget of truth into its pages is a stark admission that the Clinton Campaign literally paid millions of dollars to foreign agents to help them in an American election, an admission that most Times readers have likely never seen before.

Then there’s the lead paragraph:

Federal prosecutors reviewing the origins of the Russia investigation have asked witnesses pointed questions about any anti-Trump bias among former F.B.I. officials who are frequent targets of President Trump and about the earliest steps they took in the Russia inquiry, according to former officials and other people familiar with the review.

Note the use of the words “federal prosecutors” rather than “investigators,” because words are important here. This distinction, the first two words of a very long piece, clearly implies that the Times has been made aware by their Deep State buddies that Barr and Durham are not only pursuing actual indictments and prosecutions of some of their ranks, but have brought in multiple additional federal prosecutors to assist in the effort. This is a key shift in the fake media narrative, which has previously talked about Barr and Durham being just a couple of loose cannons mounting a rogue investigation in order to curry favor with President Trump.

The second paragraph is also quite interesting:

The prosecutors, led by John H. Durham, the United States attorney in Connecticut, have interviewed about two dozen former and current F.B.I. officials, the people said. Two former senior F.B.I. agents are assisting with the review, the people said.

Oh. Who might those two dozen “current and former FBI officials” be? We’ll have to wait to find out. But the more interesting bit of information here is that “two former senior FBI agents are assisting with the review.” Who might those agents be?

Well, about five paragraphs further into the piece, we find out who they are NOT:

Mr. Durham has yet to interview all the F.B.I. officials who played key roles in opening the Russian investigation in the summer of 2016, the people familiar with the review said. He has not spoken with Peter Strzok, a former top counterintelligence official who opened the inquiry; the former director James B. Comey or his deputy, Andrew G. McCabe; or James A. Baker, then the bureau’s general counsel.

So, Barr/Durham and their fellow prosecutors have interviewed dozens of current and former FBI officials, but they have yet to speak with four of the main suspects who we all know from public information already released were key leaders of the cabal. This would be common practice if those four are in fact targets of the investigation – the process would be to gather all the independent information possible to build a strong case prior to interviewing the actual targets. Very encouraging for those who desire to see actual justice done to at least some of the myriad bad actors in this matter.

Much later on in the piece, we find out who one of the “two former senior FBI agents” happens to be:

The former official said he was reassured by the presence of John C. Eckenrode, one of the former senior F.B.I. agents assisting Mr. Durham. Like Mr. Durham, who investigated C.I.A. torture of detainees overseas, Mr. Eckenrode is also familiar with high-stakes political inquiries.

How is Mr. Eckenrode famliar with “high-stakes political inquiries”? Way back in 2003-04, he worked for special counsel Patrick Fitzgerald on the Valerie Plame investigation. Some will view this association with a previous out-of-control special counsel as damning of Barr/Durham’s real intentions here, but the Fizgerald investigation would have involved literally dozens of FBI agents who were simply carrying out their orders in their daily jobs. When conducting a high-profile, controversial investigation such as this one, it would be perfectly natural for any U.S. Attorney to try to bring in assistants who have prior such experience.

Towards the end, the Times writers do their best to provide cover for their Deep State sources:

For example, the former official compared the F.B.I.’s handling of its two investigations related to Mr. Trump and his 2016 opponent, Hillary Clinton. Agents overtly investigated Mrs. Clinton’s use of a private email server but kept secret their counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign. If the F.B.I. had been trying to bolster Mrs. Clinton’s candidacy and hurt Mr. Trump’s, they could have buried the email investigation or taken more overt steps in the Russia inquiry.

This is, of course, abject nonsense. The Clinton email scandal had been in the news for many months, beginning way back in mid-2015. The corrupt and preening Comey, always concerned more about his public image than about the actual pursuit of justice, had no choice but to be seen as pursuing that investigation in a very public way. The fact that the fix was in for the Fainting Felon came with the release of internal FBI documents proving that Comey and Strzok drafted Clinton’s exoneration memo in May, 2016, two full months before they even bothered to interview her.

But this tired old narrative is all the Comeys and Strzoks have left to them, and the Times dutifully plays along, rolling it out there for the consumption of their willfully-deluded reader base.

The very publication of this narrative piece demonstrates the concern the coup plotters really are feeling about the pending release of the Horowitz Report and the ongoing conduct of the Barr/Durham investigation. It’s an effort – a miserably failed effort – to get out ahead of the release of the Horowitz Report, and to build a public narrative in defense of the bad actors as Barr and Durham advance towards seeking indictments. As the Times piece itself states in the lead sentence to its third paragraph:

The number of interviews shows that Mr. Durham’s review is further along than previously known.

Slowly but surely, the walls are closing in on the coup plotters.

“The wheels of justice turn slowly, but they grind exceedingly fine.” – Sun Tzu

Dem Debate: Clipping Coupons, Stealing Your Money, and Confiscating Guns

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

I didn’t watch last night’s Democrat debate, because I’m sane and would prefer to stay that way. Besides, there was baseball on TV. But I did follow the festivities in real time on social media, and quickly realized I didn’t miss anything that wasn’t entirely predictable.

For example, there was this lovely moment, when the two near-octogenarians in the race, perhaps surprised to see each other still alive and kicking, gave each other a big hug:

Image may contain: 1 person, suit

Awwww, isn’t that cute? It’s like that big family reunion back in 1963 when both of your great-grandpas showed up together for the last time.

Speaking of Quid Pro Joe, he got the very predicable special handling from CNN hack Anderson Cooper, who prefaced a question about his bullying of the Ukraine in order to protect is ne’er-do-well son with “You have been falsely accused by the White House…”, and bumbling ‘Ol Joe was barely able to take it from there. If Cooper could’ve taken him by the hand and walked him through an answer, you can be sure he would have done so.

At other times, though, the Unfrozen Caveman Senator didn’t fare quite so well. Check out this clip, when he’s asked by some chick about the Marxist “wealth tax” scheme being touted by The Commie and Fauxcahontas:

That’s right: He literally said “clipping coupons in the stock market.” He apparently thinks Nabisco often runs “2 for 1 specials” on purchases of its stock, and General Motors offers 5 year, 0 percent financing from time to time.

In case you couldn’t understand the rest of his gibberish answer, here’s everything he said, verbatim:

“No, look, er, ah,um, demonizing wealth people, what I’ve talked about is how you get things done. And the way to get things done is take a look at the tax code right now.  The idea, we have to start rewarding work not just wealth. I would eliminate the capital gains tax [rapid blinking and scrunch face occurs here] that i..I w, I would raise the capital gains tax to the highest l.., rate of 39.5 percent, would double it. Because guess what? Why in God’s name should someone who’s clipping coupons in the stock market make, in fact, pay lower tax rate than someone who in fact is, uh, like I said, is, th, uh,  a school teacher and a fireman.”

Got that? So, all you stock market coupon clippers better put those scissors away and go out and get a job teaching or putting out fires. Because that’s the world Quid Pro Joe lives in these days.

In another highlight, Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, who remains the only actual interesting person on the Democrat stage, ripped into the two main drivers of today’s fake news media, CNN and the New York Times. Hilariously, those two fake news outlets also happened to be the hosts of last night’s debate. Here’s the clip:

For those who still like to read things, here is the key passage:

“Not only that, but, the New York Times and CNN have also smeared veterans like myself for calling for an end to this regime change war. Just two days ago, the New York Times put out an article saying that I’m a Russian asset and an Assad apologist and all these different smears. This morning, a CNN commentator said on national television that I’m an asset of Russia. Completely despicable.”

Boom. Don’t hear language like that about our fake news media coming from any of the other Democrats on that stage, mainly because the New York Times and CNN treat them all with kid gloves.

But maybe the best part came when Irish Bob O’Rourke appeared to question the political courage of Navy veteran Pete Buttigieg, and that did not go well for the Texas dilettante:

Oof.

In an interview released earlier on Tuesday, O’Rourke also signaled that his pending failure to win the Democrat nomination would likely end his amazingly mediocre political career, saying “I cannot fathom a scenario where I would run for public office again if I’m not the nominee.”

All of his former fantasy lovers at various Texas and national fake media outlets would be heartbroken, but those words fall on most Texans like manna from heaven.

Note to Beto: You aren’t winning anything in this race, given that your campaign has been the most laughable, miserable, epic failure this year has seen. So, please, keep your word, for once.

Image result for i don't believe you gif

To sum up the rest: Julian Castro told a bunch of lies about immigration, Fauxcahontas refused again to admit she is going to raise taxes on the middle class, Kamala Harris bumbled and stumbled all over herself, Andrew Yang barely got any airtime, Cory Booker continued sucking up to Creepy Uncle Joe, Tom Steyer was on the stage but nobody knew why, or even who in the hell he was, and everyone went after Fauxcahontas at one time or another because she’s the real frontrunner in the race.

But in the most important news of the evening, the Nationals beat the Cardinals to sweep to their first-ever National League pennant.

That is all.

P.S.: As I was typing this piece up this morning, President Donald Trump summed last night’s festivities up perfectly:

Wednesday Was a No-Good, Terrible, Very Bad Day for the Deep State Dems

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Wednesday may have been the worst day the Democrat Party has had during the Trump presidency. – Just as it appeared to some that the Deep State Dems might be gaining a little traction in their neverending coup d’etat, they suffered a series a series of self-inflicted wounds and bombs lobbed by the President into their midst that had them scrambling to pretend they’re actually going to work on real legislation by the end of the day.

That pretense is just that, of course, as the Democrat Party has totally sacrificed itself at the altar of its ultra-radical social media Outrage Mob and its pea-brained organ grinder monkey leader, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez.

There will be no serious effort to pass meaningful legislation for the rest of this year, as San Fran Nan’s gang of Munchkin committee chairmen focus their efforts solely on staging this fake impeachment “investigation” that is just another bit of DC Kabuki Theater, and a massive one at that.

Image result for midgets in wizard of oz

Pictured above (l to r): Eliot Engel, Adam Schiff and Jerrold Nadler.

Let’s just go through a few of the disasters the Democrats suffered throughout the day on Wednesday:

Pompeo decimates Democrat case for subpoenas. – At a press conference in Rome, Italy, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo reiterates his firm opposition to allowing any of State Department professionals to be forced to become a party to the Democrats’ carnival midway freak show, and lays out a detailed constitutional case for taking that stance. The Outrage Mob went into full outrage mode, because of course they did, but nobody real cared.

Pelosi and Schiff hold a disastrous press conference. – Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum followed shortly thereafter with possibly the most dishonest press event since Baghdad Bob went on TV to assure the world that all was well in Iraq, promising a fake impeachment process that would be “fair to the President,” and with Pelosi’s newly-restructured face trying and failing to summon tears about how she has a big case of the sads about it all. The unintentionally-hilarious presser ends with San Fran Nan begging in vain to convince one member of the Democrat toady press to ask her a question – any question at all would have done – about something other than impeachment.

Image result for pelosi schiff meme

Schiff revealed to have coordinated with the fake whistleblower before the complaint was even written. – The New York Times published a piece in which it claimed that Schiff had in fact begun coordinating with the fake whistleblower even before the fake whistleblower’s complaint had been drafted. Which means that this entire charade is being run on the exact same playbook the Democrat/media complex used to smear Brett Kavanaugh a year ago, given that that all began with Dianne Feinstein coordinating efforts with false witness Christine Blasey Ford months before Ford “came forward” with her false allegations. Schiff naturally denied the allegation in the Times’s report, but no matter: Schiff has been caught publicly in so many fabrications now that he has no credibility with any non-media American, and the likely truth of his mendacity has been planted in the public’s mind.

Image

Trump owns them both in three different press events. – The President, meanwhile, held three separate press availabilties at the White House during the day, eviscerating the Democrats’ false case at every turn. Having been handed the New York Times piece about Schiff’s mendacity just before the third presser, he took it a step further, contending that Schiff actually helped write the complaint. While the corrupt media immediately went into full scoffing and tut-tutting mode over that statement, how many dozens of times have we seen the President make a statement like this and watch it turn out to be 100% true days, weeks, or months later?

Ukraine President Zelensky confirms he has never even met Rudy Giuliani. – This of course puts the lie to various media reports that have claimed that Giuliani had met face-to-face with Zelensky even before the July call with President Trump that supposedly germinated the fake whistleblower complaint.

Details of recent Barr/Durham visit to Italy become public. – While rumors and a few reports about this recent trip had begun to float around late last week, the details and their implications did not fully spill out into the mainstream and social media worlds until Wednesday.

State Department IG, after requesting “emergency hearing” with House Intel Committee staff, delivers folder full of four-month old newspaper clippings. – News of this event, possibly the greatest trolling event in federal government history, landed on Twitter early in the evening thanks to the reporting of the Daily Caller’s Amber Athey:

Image result for lucy charlie brown football

Brutal, indeed.

What Wednesday demonstrated more than anything else is that literally everything the Democrats do or say is a lie. Everything is just more theater to try to influence public opinion from a political party that has succeeded in purging itself of actual substance.

They will keep doubling down on the neverending coup d’etat not because it’s likely to be a successful strategy, but because they literally have no idea what else to do at this point.

If the Democrat Party were a brain, it would be that of a one-trick Donkey.

No American Has Any Obligation to be Honest With Our Dishonest Media

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Lewandowski’s right: No one has any obligation to be honest with a dishonest press. – Writing in The Atlantic, Russell Berman has a pearl-clutching piece about Cory Lewandowski treating Jerrold Nadler’s contemptible fake impeachment hearing yesterday with, well, contempt. Which is exactly what Lewandowski did, and deservedly so.

Berman lays out several examples of Lewandowski’s alleged contempt, and they’re all pretty much accurate. The upper east-side reader base of The Atlantic will all tut-tut and mutter ‘well, I never,’ naturally forgetting how they all cheered when an array of Obama-era officials committed mass perjury before the same committee during 2017-18, when it was chaired by a Republican.

One very interesting exchange Berman whines about came when Lewandowski told Democrat hired consultant Lawfare lawyer Barry Berke that,  “I have no obligation to be honest with the media because they are just as dishonest as anybody else,” a statement that elicited gasps in the hearing room. No doubt most, if not all of those gasps came from members of the media assembled there.

So, here’s the irony of a writer for The Atlantic complaining about Lewandowski’s contempt not just for the Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee, but also for the fake news media: On the same day Berman’s piece was published, the magazine produced another piece, written by the dishonest pair of New York Times reporters who were caught in massive lies about Justice Brett Kavanaugh over the weekend.

As discovered by the great Mollie Hemingway, Senior Editor for The Federalist, The Atlantic’s piece, intended as a free advertisement for the Times’ reporters’ new smear book on Kavanaugh, contains another gigantic whopper. As we pointed out in yesterday’s Campaign Update, the book focuses on an alleged incident during Kavanaugh’s time in college – 38 years ago – in which he supposedly committed a lewd act at a party towards a girl who was supposedly there.

Never mind that the girl in question has no memory of any such incident, or even being at the party – something you would think would stick in her mind into perpetuity. Never mind that the authors end up admitting that they have literally no actual witnesses to the alleged lewd act at all, and base their entire despicable book on pure hearsay that no real journalist would ever dream of citing. This is Brett Kavanaugh, threat to Roe v. Wade, we’re talking about here, so the dragon must be slain by any means possible, even if it requires the commission of conscious journalistic mendacity.

Hemingway exposed the authors for the deceitful hacks they truly are over the weekend, taking less than 24 hours to do so, and now exposes them even further as lying yet again in their Atlantic piece. In that piece, the authors claim that “The people who allegedly witnessed the event—Kavanaugh’s friends Kevin Genda, David Todd, and David White—have kept mum about it.”

That is a straight-up falsehood, as Hemingway details, pointing to a New Yorker piece written about the alleged incident a year ago:

One of the male classmates who Ramirez said egged on Kavanaugh denied any memory of the party. ‘I don’t think Brett would flash himself to Debbie, or anyone, for that matter,’ he said. Asked why he thought Ramirez was making the allegation, he responded, ‘I have no idea.’ The other male classmate who Ramirez said was involved in the incident commented, ‘I have zero recollection.’

In a statement, two of those male classmates who Ramirez alleged were involved in the incident, the wife of a third male student she said was involved, and one other classmate, Dan Murphy, disputed Ramirez’s account of events: ‘We were the people closest to Brett Kavanaugh during his first year at Yale. He was a roommate to some of us, and we spent a great deal of time with him, including in the dorm where this incident allegedly took place. Some of us were also friends with Debbie Ramirez during and after her time at Yale. We can say with confidence that if the incident Debbie alleges ever occurred, we would have seen or heard about it—and we did not.

There’s even more, but you get the gist. The New York Times reporters – who I refuse to name here for the same reason I refuse to name mass killers, because they’re all shameful attention-seekers – at best failed to conduct even the most rudimentary research into the previous reporting by others on this alleged incident. At worst, they simply hoped to cover up the truth about what these supposed witnesses have in fact said about it.

So, this just becomes another in a long, long line of incidents in which “news” outlets like the New York Times and The Atlantic have been caught in blatant efforts to deceive the public about Trump-related officials. It should also be noted that the New Yorker piece referred to by Hemingway was itself revealed to contain a string of falsehoods shortly after it was published.

In the 4 years since Donald Trump announced his presidential candidacy, we have witnessed dozens of incidents – if not hundreds – in which supposed “news” organizations like these three, along with CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS, the Washington Post and many others have published or aired heinously false reports about President Trump, his family, and a vast array of Administration officials and been forced to later sheepishly correct them and even fire the reporters and editors involved.

These are not honest mistakes. These are not oversights or errors in the editing process. These are obvious, intentional efforts to deceive in order to attain a political goal. We know this because the “mistakes” always, without exception, serve to damage the President or anyone connected to him. Honest mistakes would cut both ways.

This is the sorry state of America’s news media today, and it is not getting better over time. If anything, the incidents of outright false reporting are accelerating as the Democrats and their media toadies continue to fail in their efforts to “get” Trump. A sense of rising desperation does that to people.

Given this reality, what possible obligation would Cory Lewandowski or any other American have to deal with such a manifestly dishonest media establishment honestly and truthfully? When you know that anything you say to a reporter is going to be twisted, edited, omitted or taken out of context in order to be made to seem damaging, why worry about honesty? When you know the media outlet you are dealing with cares nothing about facts, why bother with facts?

The press corps can gasp, tsk-tsk and mutter all the “well, I nevers” they want, but this is a situation of their own making. They have made this bed, and now they are lying in it, both figuratively and literally.

Enemies of the people, plain and simple.

That is all.

CBS Exposes a Corrupt New York Times Smear

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

That thing that happens when not everyone is down with the latest smear effort. – The newsfakers at the New York Times made big news of their own on Monday when they were forced by actual journalists to issue a correction to their latest smear story targeting Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

This latest story was penned by two Times fake reporters who have a new book out. Oh, joy! The book rehashes old accusations against Kavanaugh brought forward and rejected as baseless last year, while pretending to add new meat to the bone to one accuser who supposedly claimed that Kavanaugh exposed himself to her at a party. The fake authors claim in the book to have found 7 “witnesses” who supposedly remember the incident.

Big problem: Not a single one of those seven “witnesses” make any claim to have actually witnessed anything. Only one of them was actually at the party in question and has no specific memory of Kavanaugh being involved in any exposing of anything other than a beer cup. None of the other six were even at the party. Oh.

Wait! It gets better: The alleged “victim” herself has no memory of the “incident” alleged in the book, and refused to even discuss it with the authors. Now, that’s some “journalism” right there, huh?

The fake reporters naturally saved those bits of  key information for very late in the book and made no mention of them in the story they penned for the oh-so accommodating pages of their employer’s fake newspaper. But actual journalists at other media outlets, including Mollie Hemingway at The Federalist, exposed all of this and much more over the weekend, creating a huge blowback towards the Times and its fake reporters and forcing the Times to issue a correction to the story.

This smear effort was so transparent and corrupt that it even had Brit Hume, who has stubbornly avoided calling his colleagues corrupt all these years, finally giving in to unavoidable reality:

But by the time the “correction” was issued, the intended damage to Justice Kavanaugh had already been done, which was the plan all along. For every 100 people who read or heard about the original story, you might have five who read or heard about the correction. This is how our fake news media does these smear campaigns, of course.

Normally, everyone else in the fake news media is fully on-board with smears led by the Times, and never make any effort to inform their readers/viewers of the journalistic mendacity being practiced by the fake newspaper of record. Last night, Jan Crawford at CBS News had apparently had enough of this nonsense.

Crawford, in a report aired on the CBS Evening News, reported on the Times’s correction, and went even further, noting the following:

Oh. Gosh, that’s kind of important information, too, isn’t it? This bit of explosive, real news also gets passing mention in the book by the fake Times reporters, but was naturally excluded from their piece in the Times. The news about Leland Keyser putting the lie to Blasey Ford’s original put-up smear is, in fact, the only real “news” contained in the book at all.

So, here we have the anatomy of the classic fake news media smear as led by the New York Times.

– When your first massive effort to smear the subject during his nominating process failed to bring its desired result, have two of your fakest reporters collaborate on a book that rehashes the original smears but supplements them with “new” information that isn’t new at all.

– When they stumble across one bit of actual real news that would be bombshell evidence of the subject’s actual innocence related to the original smear, bury it in the book and hope no one actually reads it.

– Then have your fake reporters pen a story for your newspaper and make sure they don’t mention the real news in it and exclude key facts that would also serve to exonerate the subject.

– Take that story to print, and when you get caught excluding the key information, wait at least 48 hours before issuing a half-assed “correction” that no one will read.

As long as everyone else in the fake news media is on-board with the new smear effort, you’re golden. Conservative outlets like The Federalist and Fox News don’t matter because your own readers/viewers will just dismiss them out of hand.

Foolproof, right? And CBS news, whose own “news” division is mostly just a bunch of toadies who do little but parrot DNC talking points and rehash stories printed by the Times and the Washington Post each day, is basically the last competing outlet you’d expect to give up the ghost.

But there’s Jan Crawford, bringing the Times’s fake chickens home to roost. Who knows why? Maybe Times Editor Dean Baquet pissed somebody off.

Regardless, good for Ms. Crawford for her decision to be a real journalist, at least for one day. I bet it feels good for her to be reporting the truth for a change.

The Democrat/media propaganda complex is going to need a new smear.

That is all.

18 Years Later, The New York Times Still Can’t Honestly Identify the Enemy

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Garbage newspaper gonna put out garbage news:

Image

So, just as they do in the debate over gun control, our fake news media parrots the DNC-approved narrative that the inanimate objects – the “airplanes” – were the bad things here, not the radical Islamic terrorists who flew those airplanes into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

What a disgrace.

After the perpetual outrage crowd on social media blew up over the tweet, the Times changed the wording in a subsequent tweet to read “Eighteen years have passed since terrorists commandeered airplanes to take aim at the World Trade Center and bring them down.”

So, at least the Times staff is capable of being shamed into grudgingly writing the word “terrorist,” which I suppose is progress given that the weasels at the DNC most likely didn’t even want them going that far. But what kind of “terrorists” were those people that day? What was their motivation for committing the atrocities that murdered 3,000 people?

This is a national illness, folks. This national illness that prevents our fake news media, one of our major political parties and even many Republicans from properly identifying freedom’s existential enemy of modern times has led directly to multiple supporters of that enemy – radical Islam – now representing congressional districts from Minnesota and Michigan. That national illness, this refusal to properly identify and appropriately deal with that enemy in the harshest of ways is why our soldiers remain stuck serving in faraway lands 18 years later, with some coming back in body bags every year.

Many Americans, however, still retain clear eyes despite the media/Democrat onslaught of distraction tactics and messaging over the last 18 years. Here is one of them:

We have an enemy. The enemy’s identity remains crystal clear all these years later. If we cannot as a nation properly identify that enemy, we can never hope to defeat it.

The people at the New York Times know that, and don’t care. They are a big part of the problem. They were enemies of the people 18 years ago, and they remain enemies of the people today. Don’t kid yourselves otherwise.

That is all.
