Molly McCann Debunks Another bit of New York Times Fake News

Molly McCann is of counsel at Sidney Powell, P.C., the defense firm for General Mike Flynn. On Twitter today, she took apart yet another piece of false reporting by the corrupt Democrat activists at the New York Times. It’s a brilliant take down that everyone should read.

Here is McCann’s destruction of the Times’s despicably false piece, in full:

The New York Times has no credibility as it continues to maliciously twist the truth with “reporting” that obfuscates the truth and panders downright lies. In an op-ed today, the NYT takes facts and tries to create a completely false narrative.

THREAD. @SidneyPowell1Image

Sidney Powell *did* send a letter to AG Barr last year shortly after she was retained by Gen. Flynn. She sent it confidentially to urge DOJ to correct manifest injustice. She sent it confidentially as a curtesy to the Department—giving DOJ an opportunity…
Image
…to preserve confidence in the rule of law.ImageImageImageImage
AG Barr forwarded Sidney’s letter to lead prosecutor Brandon Van Grack, who replied that there was no further Brady material outstanding (quoted at ECF No. 111, attached). Van Grack publicly filed the majority of Sidney’s letter on Oct. 1, 2019. ECF No. 122-2.Image
There was no underhanded secret here. Sidney was vocal about her view of this case long before she took on Flynn’s defense. She wrote an op-ed in February of 2018 urging Gen. Flynn to withdraw his plea.

Ironically, Sidney believed Judge Sullivan—appointed to the DDC by Clinton—was the judge best equipped and experienced to know that the prosecutors had made up the case and were hiding evidence of Flynn’s innocence, as she also detailed in a Dec. op-ed:

The NYT says that at its core the Flynn case “is a drama about who gets to mete out justice in the Trump era.” In this, at least, it is correct. The Flynn case has exposed the frightening reality that certain people will let nothing and no one stand in the way of power.
These people cast aside any semblance of honor or integrity, targeted Flynn, and sicced corrupt prosecutors on him. They were willing to tear down the rule of law and destroy the bedrock principles of justice and due process on which our system depends, all for their own…
…political purposes. Those purposes were to destroy General Flynn and the reforms he would make to the intelligence community and to topple a democratically elected President—Donald J. Trump.
The Flynn story is the story of the most breathtaking abuse of power in our nation’s history. And the (not failing, but failed) New York Times is attempting to cover-up that scandal by fabricating tales to hide the truth. But the facts speak for themselves.
Barr asked Jensen—a career DOJ attorney—to review the Flynn file and Jensen uncovered exculpatory evidence so breathtaking it has rocked the foundations of our Republic. This evidence is black and white—they ignore it, because it is so ugly and unambiguous they can’t…
…even spin it, so they pretend it never was produced. In any other time and with an even partially honest media, this story of corruption would be on every front page.
General Michael Flynn was set up by people intent on maintaining power no matter what institutions, principles, or people had to be hacked to pieces in the process. This type of false reporting from the New York Times is not just biased, it is subversive.

Right on Cue, the New York Times Tries to Mount a new Russia Hoax

Meet the new Russia hoax, same as the old Russia hoax. – The Russia Collusion hoax was based entirely on a fraudulent dossier and lies told to reporters by anonymous sources. Well, and also by reporters just making crap up out of whole cloth in many instances, but that goes without saying. The Democrats and their corrupt media toadies managed to deceive the American public for three solid years and tilt the 2018 elections using that hoax, so it’s only natural they would repeat that same model in the runup to the 2020 elections.

Meet the new Russia hoax, this one claiming that President Trump was briefed on a plan by those evil Russians to bribe Afghanistan militants to murder U.S. and coalition forces in that sh*thole country (don’t even try to prove me wrong on that assessment), and that the President did nothing to stop them. The New York Times got the ball rolling on that doozy late last week with yet another fake report based on nothing but anonymous sources who may or may not even exist. You’re just supposed to trust that the New York Times, which has filed hundreds of completely false reports about President Trump since 2015, is finally telling you the truth this time, because of their journalistic “ethics” or something.

Even more, you’re supposed to believe the Times because other corrupt media outlets like the Wall Street Journal and Washington post “independently verified” the story – i.e., they talked to the same anonymous sources, who may well have been the reporter from the Times itself. Because that’s what these corrupt political operatives masquerading as journalists do.

As with this past week’s Bubba Wallace/NASCAR noose story, if you didn’t realize within about 10 seconds that both stories are clear hoaxes, then you just haven’t been paying enough attention to what’s been happening in our country for the past four years. But most Americans are too dense to figure it out, so the President and many of his people had to waste their time issuing outright denials of this false reporting on Saturday.

As reported by the Washington Examiner, former Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell ended up in a back and forth on Twitter with despicable hack Ted Lieu:

Rep. Ted Lieu, a California Democrat, tweeted at Grenell daring him to confirm whether he did not tell Trump and Pence about a Russian military intelligence unit offering financial rewards to Taliban militants to kill U.S. troops or McEnany was lying.

“I never heard this,” Grenell shot back. “And it’s disgusting how you continue to politicize intelligence. You clearly don’t understand how raw intel gets verified. Leaks of partial information to reporters from anonymous sources is dangerous because people like you manipulate it for political gain.”

Lieu followed up by asking: “If you are telling the truth, why doesn’t White House deny bounty story instead of saying you didn’t brief @POTUS?”

Grenell replied: “All anonymous sources. And these same reporters gave us the Russian collusion hoax you still hold on to.”

Yep.

Current DNI John Ratcliffe issued this unambiguous statement on the matter:

Ok. Next!

The President of the United States tweeted this:

All true. Next!

Even Vladimir Putin and Russia accurately referred to the New York Times as “fake news”:

Russia denies allegation that it offered bounties to militants in Afghanistan for killing American troops
According to The New York Times, American intelligence officials reported that a Russian assassination unit secretly offered bounties to Taliban-linked militants for killing American troops in Afghanistan. Russia responded by calling it an attempt to “invent new fake stories.”

So, you are left with either believing “news” outlets who have repeatedly lied to you and worked hand in glove with the Democrat Party to spread a series of outright hoaxes to the American public over the last four years, or believing the President, DNI Ratcliffe and Ric Grenell, who spent his entire time as DNI debunking the media’s previous Russia Hoax by declassifying documents and bring transparency in government.

This is not hard, folks.

Monday News Roundup: Hollywood Tough Guy Mob, RINO Stampede and a Municipal Suicide in Minn.

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

“This the workplace, not a social justice seminar on campus.” – That’s what Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton said to Maria Bartiromo on Sunday Morning Futures yesterday. He was telling her what he would say to the pathetic, childish, snowflake staff at the New York Times after they had staged a hissy-fit rebellion against the fake newspaper’s editorial page editor for publishing Cotton’s op/ed piece last Monday.

The problem with Sen. Cotton’s argument there is that today’s staff at the Times is in fact a social justice seminar. It’s just that the university campuses on which they all were brainwashed to become SJW’s have been transferred into the NYTimes Building in Manhattan. The same transition has taken place at newspapers and other media outlets all over the country, the natural progression of college learnings coming into the workplace. Why would Mr. Cotton or anyone else expect any other outcome?

The nation’s news media used to merely be biased, with its editors and reporters slanting their reporting to fit their own world view while giving a basic level of lip service to impartiality and balance. Today’s media outlets are different: They are not merely biased in what they do, they are rigidly intolerant of any viewpoint but their own.

And so it was that later in the day on Sunday, the Times announced that it had allowed editorial page editor James Bennet to “resign,” corporate speak for they fired his ass. They fired him for no valid reason and simply because their childish, brainwashed staff demanded it.

Today’s national news media is not merely biased and corrupt and 98% fake, it is actively fascist in it nature, led by the newspaper of record itself. If you trust a word they have to say without independent verification, you are part of the problem.

*sigh* Ok, so, we’re back to de-funding the police again? – We told you on Friday how the Democrats in Minneapolis – including pitiful Mayor Jacob Frey – had suddenly backed off the whole “de-fund the police” thing after Morning Consult released a poll showing just 16% support for that idiotic, society-destroying move.

But the radical leftist goons who populate the Minneapolis city council just will not be diverted from their desire to make their city ultimately look like Warsaw after Hitler’s invasion of Poland. They want the whole thing to just burn to the ground, and the first step to creating utter chaos in the streets is removing all notion of public safety.

Thus it was that yesterday afternoon, a “veto-proof majority” on the Minneapolis city council sent out this notice:

Image

If you are a law-abiding citizen in Minneapolis and you have the means to do so, you should be packing up your things and getting the hell out of there before it is too late. This is municipal suicide, plain and simple, all brought to you by your stupid, mindless votes for Democrats.

Here is the carnival freak show that is in the process of destroying a great American city:

Image

Remember their faces and names.

Run to the hills! Run to the woods! The Hollywood tough guy mob is coming for you! – I swear to you that I am not making this up. This is a real, actual tweet put up by drug-addled failed actor and even more failed comedian Tom Arnold on Sunday [Language warning]:

Yes, friends and neighbors and all you other Trump supporters out here in Flyover Country where Hollywood leftists fear to tread: Tom Arnold, a 61 year-old grown man, is gonna go borrow his daddy’s rifle and come after you. And even more fearful, he’s inviting 73 year-old Rob Reiner to go borrow a rifle from his 98 year-old daddy Carl Reiner so he can join in the assault on the nation’s heartland.

Seriously, how pathetic is it to a) be 61 years-old and publicly admit that, in order to arm yourself, you have to go borrow a gun from your nonagenarian daddy, and b) to be so pathetically lacking in self-awareness that you don’t realize how silly making that public admission makes you look to the rest of the world?

Will Ferrell Laughing GIF - Find & Share on GIPHY

You could never make these people up if they didn’t already exist. And if you still doubt me when I tell you that leftists hate you and want you dead, I really don’t know what else to tell you after this.

Speaking of ineffectual gangs, the RINOs are coming! The RINOs are coming! – The corrupt, fascist news media made a very big deal yesterday about the talk that Donald Trump will not be getting the votes in November of … wait for it … ex-President George W. Bush, Senator Mitt Romney and Colin Powell! Oh, noes! What will Trump do????

This non-story dominated the “news” all day long, despite the following facts:

  • None of these globalists supported Trump in 2016, either;
  • Romney voted to impeach the President, and we’re supposed to be surprised by this?; and
  • Colin Powell is a life-long Democrat who has never supported any Republican whose name was not Bush.

But here’s the thing: This is just the next step in the deep state propaganda campaign to throw everything against the wall at Trump and hope something sticks. This year alone, the impeachment failed to do the trick; the Wuhan Virus and its Democrat-driven shutdowns failed to do the trick; and this massive propaganda effort over the George Floyd murder is not doing the trick either.

So, yesterday’s obviously coordinated revelations among those three globalists was just the next page in the playbook. There will be something else today, and each and every day through November 3. And when Trump is re-elected, it will only become even more intense than it has been thus far.

This will never end as long as any non-deep state captive resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

And this is the Deep State’s goal:

They want you afraid. They want you unsettled. They want you to be constantly on edge. Because a fearful and cowed public is much easier to control and far more likely to be willing to surrender its rights and freedoms in exchange for a fool’s notion of “security.” The result of that poll is obviously due to all the rioting, and once the rioting goes away, the number will go away with it.

But be fully aware that these riots are not the end game for the Democrat/Deep State/Corrupt media Axis of Disinformation. Something else will be coming soon, and it will probably be even worse.

Protect yourself.

Protect your family.

Stay alert to your surroundings.

Because the next thing will inevitably come.

These people will never stop until they are stopped.

The Evening Wrap: A Fake HCQ Study, New Religious Cults, and Ben Sasse Throws a Tantrum *UPDATED*

Hey, remember that Lancet study from a few weeks ago that claimed to show that Hydroxychloroquine was somehow deadly to Wuhan Virus patients? – Yeah, the study was a scam:

It turns out that the company that provided the “data” for the study doesn’t even exist, and that the report that Lancet – a “respected” medical journal – published was actually authored by a science fiction writer. I’m not kidding. Not even the greatest science fiction writer who ever lived could possibly make this stuff up.

It was all just another leftist scam to “get” Donald Trump.  The sad part of it is that people most likely died as a result of the chilling effect it had on doctors being willing to prescribe this safe, cheap and widely-used drug for patients it could have benefited. Despicable.

This is what a religious cult looks like:

Just sayin’.

Speaking of stuff you could never make up… – A couple of friends who are on a trip in Alaska right now sent me this photo today:

This is posted on a miles-long hiking trail that most likely doesn’t have 50 people on it today. There is literally not one shred of science or data that supports the notion that staying 6 feet from people in the wilds of Alaska makes even the tiniest difference, yet there it is.

This is also stuff that a religious cult adhering to nothing but dogma would do.

Burying the lede… – Ned Ryun was angry to see the news that Lindsey Graham had postponed today’s scheduled subpoena vote by the Senate Judiciary Committee after Nebraska RINO Ben Sasse threw a typical hissy fit:

However, if you go actually read that article by The Hill, you find this lede conveniently buried way down in the final two paragraphs:

Earlier Thursday, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee held its own vote to give subpoena power to Chairman Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) for that panel’s investigation into Obama-era actions including Crossfire Hurricane.

The vote allows Johnson to subpoena Comey, Rice and former CIA Director John Brennan, among others.

Oh.

See, it’s not all up to Senator Graham. This can all just as easily be exposed by the Homeland Security Committee, whose Chairman is a far more serious person and not nearly so obviously compromised.

***UPDATE*** – James Rosen is reporting now that Senate Judiciary met later this afternoon and voted along party lines to authorize Graham to issue the subpoenas:

Fun!

***UPDATE 2*** The normally astute Mr. Rosen was wrong. Sorry about that.

What, is the New York Times running itself as a day-care center now? – After all of his corrupt reporters tossed a mass meltdown on Twitter last night and his editors staged an open rebellion over the publication of an op/ed by Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton, New York Times Publisher A.G. Sulzberger felt the need to explain the basics of newspaper publishing to his herd of juvenile delinquents:

The op-ed page exists to offer views from across the spectrum, with a special focus on those that challenge the positions taken by our Editorial Board. We see that as a source of strength, allowing us to provide readers with a diversity of perspectives that is all too rare in modern media. We don’t publish just any argument — they need to be accurate, good faith explorations of the issues of the day — and there are many reasons why Op-Eds are denied publication. It is clear many believe this piece fell outside the realm of acceptability, representing dangerous commentary in an explosive moment that should not have found a home in The Times, even as a counterpoint to our own institutional view. I believe in the principle of openness to a range of opinions, even those we may disagree with, and this piece was published in that spirit. But it’s essential that we listen and to reflect on the concerns we’re hearing, as we would with any piece that is the subject of significant criticism.

[End]

Absolutely stunning that a newspaper publisher has to write something like this to a pack of people who presumably graduated from something called “journalism school.” And we wonder why journalism – real journalism – has become an anachronism in our country.

Speaking of the corrupt news media… – Remember how every fake media outlet in the nation went berserk over this video clip a couple of weeks ago, with many squealing that these people were all gonna get the Wuhan Virus and spread it all over the country?

There have been no new cases of the novel coronavirus among the hundreds who flouted social distancing guidelines and attended pool parties at Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks over Memorial Day weekend, a state health official said this week.

Videos and photos that showed hundreds of partygoers prompted health officials in the state to express concerns that the large gatherings would lead to a surge in cases of COVID-19. Those who attended were urged to self-quarantine and get tested, while officials in St. Louis County — Lake of the Ozarks is a popular getaway for people who live in St. Louis — later issued a travel advisory.

Overall, the statewide hospitalizations from the virus have decreased by more than 40 percent in recent weeks, while the state’s number of positive cases has also declined, Parson said during the briefing, per the newspaper.

“Our hospitals are not overwhelmed. Our positivity rate continues to decline. People are recovering, and we are moving forward,” he said.

[End]

Oh.

One final reminder. – In 2009 and 2010, Americans put in office a Black president, a black attorney general, Joe Biden as VP, and Democrats had super majorities in both houses of congress. During those years, and the six years that followed, there was no criminal justice reform; there was no prison reform; there was no police reform or any other effort to correct racial injustice.

What did they focus on instead? Nationalized healthcare and climate change.

Because they’re all Democrats, and they don’t mean a damn thing they’re saying today.

That is all.

America in the 21st Century: 20 Long Years of Constant Brainwashing

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Hey, what happened to all those pervasive, ubiquitous messages from March, April and May, telling us ten thousand times every day to wash our hands and stay at home? It was a hell of a brainwashing campaign carried out by our national news media and governments at all levels, and now it has basically vanished.

Dr. Anthony Fauci has gone from being the national grandfather figure who hands out constantly-shifting and always-wrong advice on your TV screen every day to some old guy cooped up on his basement who gets an interview with some daytime hack on MSNBC or CNN once or twice a week. He told us yesterday he was very concerned about a coming new outbreak of COVID-19 due to the lack of social distancing being practiced by the looters and burners and rioters in the nation’s big, Democrat-run cities, but no one was listening, which frankly is not a bad thing.

Mind you, he told us that while the very same statistical modeling idiots who projected 2 million Americans would die of this virus were now saying that, hey, all the staying at home and social distancing and washing our hands had no effect on the spread of the virus whatsoever. But you weren’t supposed to hear that.

Deborah Birx, the owner of every scarf in North America, seems to have completely disappeared. It’s like she never existed. Fame is a fickle thing – it comes and goes at the whim of the latest Democrat/corrupt news media narrative. She’s yesterday’s narrative, just like the Creepy Porn Lawyer.

The campaign to brainwash America about the Wuhan Virus has basically run its course along with the virus itself, and has now been replaced by a brainwashing campaign to convince us that we should all run out to the nearest riot and take a knee, just like Joe Biden did in that black church on Sunday. You remember Joe Biden, don’t you? Yeah, he’s that guy who told a clearly-black radio talk show host that “you ain’t black!”

That was barely a week ago and we’ve already forgotten. The brainwashing campaign demands it. Today, the narrative is that Joe Biden, the guy who’s already had 16,089 days in public office to address “institutional racism” in America and done nothing about it, is suddenly going to solve the whole problem in his first 100 days in office if you’ll just elect this shuffling, elderly man who doesn’t know where he is most of the time to hold the highest office in the land.

Yeah, that’ll work out fine.

In Los Angeles yesterday, the National Guard there took a knee before the rioters, which means the rioters are now in charge of Los Angeles, which is presumably how Mayor Eric Garcetti wanted it anyway.

Racial Tensions: Police across US taking a knee to support ...

On Twitter last night, every reporter for the New York Times threw a fit because the Times’ own op/ed page ran a piece written by a Republican U.S. Senator, Tom Cotton of Arkansas, who advocates that the President should call in the military to help restore order in the cities run by Democrat mayors who refuse to let the police do their jobs. This is the same New York Times, mind you, that ran an op/ed piece by Adolph Hitler in June, 1941, even as Hitler was loading millions of Jews onto cattle cars and send them off to their deaths. None of the paper’s reporters, then or now, were horrified by that.

The title of Hitler’s op/ed – The Art of Propaganda – was obviously taken to heart by the New York Times editors and apparently remains the subject of Chapter 1 in the Times’ editorial handbook.

In February of this year, the Times ran an op/ed by the leader of the Taliban, a Muslim sect in Afghanistan that kills homosexuals and treats women like we treat rats. In 2013, it ran an op/ed by Vladimir Putin, who is supposed to be the devil incarnate today, according to the current dogma.

But it was the op/ed by a Republican Senator that set the Times staff off into a spasmodic group case of the vapors.

These media/government brainwashing campaigns are nothing new, of course. Hell, they’ve been carrying out a similar campaign related to “climate change” for the last 20 years, creating a global leftist religious cult in the process. They ran a massive campaign in 2008 designed to convince America that it was in fact obligated to elect Barack Obama because he was black. It worked, helped along by a traitorous Republican who intentionally tanked his own campaign. It worked again in 2012 thanks largely to the same dynamic.

For four long years, corrupt media outlets like the New York Times coordinated with the Democrats and many swampy Republicans like Paul Ryan and John McCain on a campaign to convince you that the “Russia Collusion” fantasy was in fact a real thing. It wasn’t, as Rod Rosenstein formally admitted multiple times under oath before the Senate Judiciary Committee yesterday; but hey, they’re still at it anyway.

For six months last fall and winter, the entirety of our news media actively conspired with Adam Schiff, Nancy Pelosi, Gerrold Nadler and the entire DC Swamp to brainwash you into believing that you should support the impeachment of President Trump over a phone call in which nothing improper was discussed. They knew if they could cause a massive shift in public opinion they might be able to convince enough GOP senators to give up the ghost and get it done.

That one failed, other than to get half a vote from the same traitor who threw the 2012 election.

Then came the Wuhan Virus campaign to stay at home and wash your hands and wear your masks and never get within 6 feet of anybody, and now that’s all gone away because you’re supposed to love and respect a bunch of domestic terrorist rioters who aren’t practicing any of that.

Oh, and at the same time, you still can’t legally get a haircut in Michigan or hold a funeral or wedding with more than 10 attendees in California, Oregon, New York and Illinois. And if you do those things, Mayors like Lori Lightfoot, who refuse to allow their police to try to control the riots, will send in the cops to shut your funeral home or church or barber shop down.

Welcome to America in the 21st century, where journalism is dead, the fascists call themselves “Democrats,” and the brainwashing never ends.

That is all.

On Biden and Reade, The New York Times Renders Itself Beyond Parody

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

It would be humorous if it weren’t so tiresomely predictable at this point. – This might be hard for you to believe, but there are still millions of Americans out there who believe the New York Times is a “news” organization. That hasn’t been the case since at the least the 1930s, when the Times served as an apologist platform for Adolph Hitler, just as it today serves as little more than an apologist platform for the national Democrat Party.

One of my favorite comedies is “So I Married an Axe Murderer,” starring Mike Meyers in multiple roles. He plays the lead character, and also the lead character’s father. The father is a crusty old first generation immigrant from Scotland who walks around in his underwear passing wind and hurling insults, and who believes that Colonel Sanders is the head of a worldwide conspiracy.

One of that film’s funniest scenes involves not the father, but the also-Scottish, long-suffering mother, who at one point asks her son “Charlie, hand me the paper,” pointing to a copy of the old supermarket tabloid The Weekly World News.

“Mom,” Charlie replies, “I find it interesting that you call The Weekly World News ‘the paper.’ A paper contains facts.”

Well, if the New York Times is in any guide, not anymore.

Over the weekend, the Democrat activists who make up the Times’ editorial board published one of the most outrageous op/ed pieces in U.S. newspaper history, one that crusty old long-time reporter and anchor Brit Hume referred to on Twitter Sunday as being “Beyond parody.” It truly is an amazing case of a stunning lack of self-awareness, highly-predictable hypocrisy and just plain old bad faith to the public interest that the free press is supposed to dutifully protect.

The piece begins with a summary of Tara Reade’s accusations of sexual harassment, sexual assault and what the hypocritical #MeToo movement would characterize as “rape” if Biden were anyone other than the presumptive presidential nominee of its favorite political party. But then the editorial board lurches into this paragraph:

In 2018, this board advocated strongly for a vigorous inquiry into accusations of sexual misconduct raised against Brett Kavanaugh when he was nominated to a seat on the Supreme Court.

Why yes, yes it did. It actually advocated for an investigation not by congress or some disinterested 3rd party, but by the FBI, which, thanks to the media uproar at the time, ended up taking place and finding nothing. And remember, the wild accusations hurled by the obvious liar Christine Blasey Ford had none of the true contemporaneous supporting attestations and evidence that support Ms. Reade’s claims.

In its very next three sentences, the Times then says the following:

Mr. Biden’s pursuit of the presidency requires no less. His campaign, and his party, have a duty to assure the public that the accusations are being taken seriously. The Democratic National Committee should move to investigate the matter swiftly and thoroughly, with the full cooperation of the Biden campaign.

You read that right: Where the Times called for a freaking FBI investigation into a guy who wanted to become one of nine Supreme Court justices, it wants the guy seeking to become the one and only holder of the highest and most powerful office in the land to be investigated by his own political party. If this were 1955, this same editorial board would no doubt advocate that famous mob boss Frank Costello be investigated by a committee of the Five Families.

It’s maybe the most absurd thing ever printed in a U.S. newspaper, but it only gets worse from there. Here’s the very next paragraph, in which the Times literally lays out the DNC talking points on Ms. Reade:

Ms. Reade’s account has some apparent inconsistencies. Last year, she was one of several women who came forward with complaints of Mr. Biden hugging or touching them in ways that made them uncomfortable, but she did not raise the assault accusation until this March. She says she tried to share her story with the media earlier, only to get “shut down.”

First, the #MeToo people have told us thousands of times over the past two years that it is entirely common for a woman who has been sexually assaulted to be reluctant to come forward with her full accusations, largely due to paragraphs just like this one printed in the newspapers. This paragraph is a literal outrage in the context of women who have suffered sexual abuse.

And that last sentence, which attempts to lead readers to believe Ms. Reade is not being honest about being shut down by the media earler? On Sunday, the Associated Press admitted to having an interview with Ms. Reade months ago on this subject, only to decide to kill the story.

Think this editorial cannot possibly get any worse? Boy are you in for a disappointment. Several more paragraphs down, we get this little gem:

While understandable, this concern is not prohibitive — and Mr. Biden’s word is insufficient to dispel the cloud. Any inventory should be strictly limited to information about Ms. Reade and conducted by an unbiased, apolitical panel, put together by the D.N.C. and chosen to foster as much trust in its findings as possible. Admittedly, this would be a major undertaking. Mr. Biden served 36 years in the Senate. He turned over nearly 2,000 boxes and more than 400 gigabytes of data to the University of Delaware; most of it has not been cataloged. But the question at hand is no less than Mr. Biden’s fitness for the presidency. No relevant memo should be left unexamined.

You read that right: As its’ justification for failing to call for an FBI investigation as it did in the Kavanaugh case, the Times asks its readers to believe that the DNC – by definition a political entity, and in practice one of the most despicably and aggressively hyper-political entities on the face of the earth – is capable of conducting an “apolitical” investigation of its own nominee.

The suggestion is absurd on its face: Who exactly would the Times suggest placing on such an “apolitical panel”? In this society in which literally everything and everyone has been politicized, it is frankly impossible that such a panel could be assembled by anyone, no matter how well-meaning, and DNC Chairman Tom Perez is certainly not well-meaning.

As for the University of Delaware records, they’ve already been scrubbed, and the Times editorial board knows it. The Biden campaign admits that several of its operatives spent days scouring those records weeks ago. Whatever documents relevant to Ms. Reade’s allegations that may have once been there are now safely long-gone and likely burned.

The Times, again as predictable as the sun rising in the West (at least, according to the Times), closes its cynical appeal to the DNC to be “apolitical” with this hyper-partisan final paragraph:

Mr. Biden has set higher standards for himself. That has been central to his appeal. His campaign is founded on the promise of restoring sanity, civility and decency to the presidency. Even if certainty isn’t possible in this matter, the American people deserve at least the confidence that he, and the Democratic Party, have made every effort to bring the truth to light.

You knew there was no way this collection of Democrat activists could get through 500 words without at least one attempt to smear President Trump, right? Of course you did.

The notion that Joe Biden has set “higher standards for himself” is laugh-out-loud ridiculous. This is a guy who, on the campaign trail, has continued his habit of fondling children and women, holding them too close, sniffing them and rubbing them with his spindly fingers. He apparently cannot help himself. He is a guy who has on multiple occasions this year challenged attendees at his own rallies to go outside for a fight. This is civility? This is decency?

And as for “sanity,” well, let’s be honest and recognize that Biden is also a guy who has repeatedly and clearly demonstrated that he often has no idea where he is, often is incapable of reading from a teleprompter, needs to have his despicable wife sitting next to him to keep him on message and has only a sporadic acquaintance with reality.

Joe Biden is not capable of handling the office of the presidency, and the Times editorial board knows this. But they just keep lying to their readers on behalf of the Democrat Party nevertheless.

How the New York Times Fakes News About Ventilators

Today’s Campaign Update, Part III (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Alex Berenson, himself a former reporter at the New York Times, has a great Twitter thread this morning detailing how his former employer is intentionally mis-informing its readers regarding the real number of ventilators that the nations hospitals will need to deal with the China Virus outbreak.

The content of Berenson’s Twitter thread is detailed below. It should be required reading in every home in America.

Thus, rather than the “million” ventilators that the NYTimes falsely claims will be needed based on faulty data, the maximum number is vastly lower than that. And the real problem, which the Times basically ignores, is that our country likely only has trained staff necessary to safely operate a maximum of about 56,000 such machines.

This is the kind of intentional news-fakery aimed solely at causing harm to President Donald Trump that corrupt media outlets have used to cause needless panic across the United States. It is the kind of irresponsble media behavior for which, when all of the dust has settled from this national crisis, our country simply must find some way to hold corrupt reporters, editors and media executives accountable.

Because if we cannot find some way to adequately police what has become possibly the single most corrupt and irresponsible corporate business segment in our society today, they will only behave even more irresponsibly in the future.

That is all.

Society Must Find a Way to Hold the Corrupt Media Accountable (Updated)

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

One of the most frustrating aspects of living in the time of Trump is the utterly corrupt nature of 98% of our national news media, and the inability – or outright refusal – of anyone in a position of authority to hold these miscreants accountable for their misdeeds against our society.

Journalism as a profession is pretty much dead in America today, as the corporate-owned media outlets have abandoned all pretense of objectivity and discarded anything resembling what one used to refer to as journalistic ethics in a mad rush to attract clicks to failing websites  and help bring down a President of the United States of whom they do not approve. We live in a situation today in which it has become impossible to trust anything that goes out over the air on cable and broadcast TV networks, or is printed in the pages of the New York Times, Washington Post or the nation’s other big city newspapers.

With the American political left – which essentially owns the country’s journalism schools – having long ago discarded the entire concept of objective truth, citizens are left to fend for themselves in trying to sift through wave after wave of rank disinformation and political narratives in their daily quest to figure out what is really going on. When this happens in the context of elections, it corrupts our political process. When it happens in the context of a national emergency – as it is today – it can costs human lives.

In either event, the absence of a real, working and accountable media establishment serving its intended role as the public’s watchdog represents a true existential threat to our ability to continue to exist as a free society. If we cannot find some way to hold these people to account for their intentional acts to misinform the public, then it’s just a matter of time before the whole thing implodes.

Let’s look at a couple of examples of corrupt journalists engaging in intentional efforts to misinform the public on Monday. First, there is this from Jack Shafer, a corrupt reporter from the reliably leftwing “news” site, Politico:

So, Jerome Adams is an American anesthesiologist and a vice admiral in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps who currently serves as the Surgeon General of the United States:

Dr. Jerome Adams on coronavirus: Preparedness over panic, facts over fear

Brett Giroir is a four-star admiral in the U.S. Public Health Service Commissioned Corps, who currently serves as the Assistant Secretary for Health under the Trump administration.

Deborah Birx is an American physician and diplomat who serves as the coronavirus response coordinator for the White House Coronavirus Task Force.” Birx has served as Ambassador-at-Large and United States Global AIDS Coordinator since 2014.

Politico Reporter Takes Cheap Shots at the Outfits of Coronavirus Task Force | News Thud

Ms. Birx is widely hailed as one of the foremost experts in dealing with outbreaks of communicable diseases on the face of the earth. The qualifications and level of respect deserved by all three of these experts in their fields are obvious to anyone with a smidgen of a brain and personal integrity. But we are not talking about such a person here – we’re talking about a corrupt journalist, a guy who is employed by the similarly corrupt jackasses who own and run Politico.

Mr. Shafer’s tweets are obviously a malicious effort to smear these three experts and, more importantly from his perspective, minimize and reduce public confidence in their expertise and ability to deal with the coronavirus crisis. Think of it: This clown just reduced Ms. Birx’s entire career down to a snarky fashion statement.

If Michelle Obama had been wearing that exact same outfit, Shafer would have no doubt been blown away by how, like, totes awesome she looks or something. You know?

And if a conservative reporter working for Fox News had made such a snarky remark about the former First Lady he would have been pilloried by all the corrupt leftist journalists who hang out and snark on Twitter 24 hours a day. But because Shafer is a liberal who works for a reliably Democrat-shilling website, you can hear the crickets chirping.

Then there was this from Mara Gay, a member of the New York Times editorial board:

Well, golly, if the New York Times really did have a recording of that call, then Ms. Gay surely heard the rest of the President’s statement to the governors, which was:

“We will be backing you, but try getting it yourselves. Point of sales, much better, much more direct if you can get it yourself.”

Ms. Gay, incidentally, is the same nitwit who, in an appearance with Brian Williams on MSNBC last week, claimed that if Mike Bloomberg had taken the $500 million that he spent on TV ads and just distributed it to the American people, he could have given all of us “a million dollars.” The actual number, of course, is $1.53. This is the level of abject stupidity the New York Times allows onto its editorial board. And let’s be honest, the very fact that Brian Williams, a proven pathological liar, still has a job in the media proves the profession has zero accountability.

But in this instance, Ms. Gay goes from mere stupidity to outright mendacity, intentionally abbreviating the perfectly good advice the President conveyed to the nation’s governors in a blatant effort to convince her mindless Twitter followers that he is instead an uncaring beast. Again, if anyone on the Board at Fox News did something like this, they would be mercilessly smeared by the liberal outrage gang on Twitter, and likely fired. But because Ms. Gay is a liberal hack who works for the fellow liberal hacks who own and run the New York Times, she will pay no price for her overt attempt to smear the President of the United States.

This utter and complete lack of accountability for intentional efforts by corrupt journalists to sow panic and fear in our society is not acceptable, especially when people working in every other profession in America are held accountable for their own actions. The first amendment is not a license to lie, not a license to abuse the public trust.

If those in positions of authority at these and many other media outlets continue to refuse to hold their people accountable for their acts of outright mendacity, then either the government or society at large will at some point decide to do it for them. History tells us very clearly that, whenever any society reaches that particular point, things get very, very ugly indeed.

Someone in the corporate media had better wake up, and soon.

Update: The President answers Ms. Gay’s despicable misrepresentation of his remarks in this morning’s coronavirus update:

That is all.

Enemies of the People: Corrupt Media Can’t Decide if Russia is Colluding with Trump or Sanders

The Evening Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

At his rally in Las Vegas Friday afternoon, President Donald Trump taunted the New York Times for its effort to revive the whole Russia Collusion nonsense one more time:

No kidding – it’s a point I made in this morning’s Campaign Update, in fact. Of course, Putin would rather have the outright communist installed in the White House.

Oh, and hey, guess what? According to the laughably corrupt hacks at the Washington Post, Putin is actually helping The Commie, not Trump:

C’mon, all you sleazy liberal hacks – which is it? In all seriousness, what we have here is a classic case of split agendas colliding in the Deep State echo chamber: They can’t decide who to try to kill – Trump or The Commie? So, first they leak yesterday’s nonsense about Trump to the Times, and when the initial polling data on that one comes back that literally nobody outside of the DC echo chamber believes any of this crap anymore, they say, hey, let’s go after Bernie instead!, and they get their toadies at the Post to dummy up this story attacking The Commie.

Here’s the real danger in all of this: There have now been so many utterly false media reports tossed around about Russian interference in U.S. elections that the corrupt media outlets and our despicably corrupt intelligence agencies have lost all credibility. God help us if Putin ever does make a serious effort to interfere in a presidential election, because if he does, nobody in the public at large will believe the reporting about it.

At the end of the day, the Democrats and their media toadies have done Putin’s work for him. And who know? Perhaps that was their real goal all along.

After all, they really are enemies of the people.

That is all.
