Trump Just Keeps on Winning for Ordinary Americans

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this WINNING yet? – This damn Trump economy just will not cooperate with all the Democrats and their media toadies who keep rooting for a recession.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics jobs report released on Friday showed the Trump economy adding another 130,000 new jobs even as the economy approaches full employment. FED Chairman Jerome Powell called the report another sign of a growing and healthy economy, indicating that he sees no sign of any recession on the horizon. Democrats everywhere recoiled in horror.

Other highlights of this jobs report include:

– Record low African American unemployment;

– Record low Hispanic unemployment;

– A record high number of Americans participating in the labor market;

– A continuing unemployment rate of 3.7%

That, folks, is WINNING, bigly, and it never gets old.

Here’s some news you won’t see on CNN. – Hey, remember back in May when Democrats and their fake media toadies ridiculed President Donald Trump for giving up on the stonewalling congress’s refusal to do anything to secure our southern border? Remember how he decided to pressure the government of Mexico to cooperate in that effort instead, and how the Pelosi’s and Schumer’s of the world laughed and said it would never work? Yeah, I remember all of that, too.

Well, barely three months later, we now know it has worked in a big way. The Mexican government has made great strides in slowing the  invasion of our southern border by Central American migrants who have been recruited and organized by leftist human traffickers from the U.S.

Mexican President Andres Manuel López Obrador says his government’s crackdown has resulted in a 56% reduction in this highly-0rganized human trafficking invasion across the border in the three months since President Trump gave him the choice of taking action or suffering crippling tariffs on Mexican goods coming across the Rio Grande. According to the Associated Press, U.S. Customs and Border Protection data show that “the number of migrants apprehended at the U.S.-Mexico border in August was 63,989, down from 144,266 in May.”

Obrador, a life-long leftist who campaigned on promises of making the border even more wide open than it already was, has suddenly become a hard-liner in the face of Trump’s tariff threa…er, incentives. Funny how that works, huh? Check out this passage from the AP story:

His administration has taken a tough line against hundreds of African migrants waiting in the southern city of Tapachula for transit visas that Mexico no longer hands out.

“We will not budge,” he said after the Africans protested, “because the recent events in Tapachula aim to make Mexico yield and oblige us to give out certificates so migrants can get into the United States. We cannot do that. It isn’t our job.”

He said migrant caravans once tolerated by Mexico were the work of human traffickers, and effectively ended them.

“All of these people who traffic with migrants’ needs for jobs, safety and welfare, they are committing a crime and they will be punished,” López Obrador said last week. “We are already doing this in Mexico, without violating human rights. We are ensuring there isn’t anarchy, disorder.”

Then there’s this:

Mexico has raided freight trains that migrants ride north, and pulled thousands off buses and out of the freight compartments of trucks. The government has warned bus and taxi drivers they could lose their permits if they transport migrants.

Activists say that has forced migrants to hike through unpopulated areas to avoid checkpoints, exposing them to greater risk from thieves, muggers and rapists who lie in wait.

Now, all the liberal open borders snowflakes out there are going to wail about how mean and nasty that all is. The claims by the “activists” are most likely false, talking points designed to engender exactly that sympathy by their U.S. useful idiots.

But this is exactly what needs to happen to disincentivize these Central American people from signing up for the human trafficking caravans. It is no accident that these caravans started early last Fall, after Obrador had been elected on his promises of easy access through Mexico up to a wide-open border. The Human traffickers – 357 of whom have now been arrested and charged with human smuggling by the Mexican government – took that message down to Honduras, Guatemala and Costa Rica and tens of thousands fell for the siren song and signed up.

But today, the message making its way down to Central America is going to be that the wide open door is closing, and those who sign up for the caravans are likely to find themselves halted in the middle of Mexico and subject that nation’s governmental authority, and the coyotes who brought them that far are as likely as not to end up in jail.

So once again, for about the 10,000th time, we see a policy decision taken by President Trump being ridiculed by all the “smart people” on the left and in the leftist fake news media ending up producing exactly the results the President intended. Once again, we see the President winning for ordinary Americans while our betters in the D.C./New York/California media-political complex recoil in horror.

Tired of all this winning yet? Yeah, neither am I.

That is all.

Patience is the Key to Supporting President Trump’s China Policies

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Funny how this all works. – The key for being a fan of President Donald Trump’s approach to dealing with China is simple: Stay calm and wait a few days for things to work out before judging any action he takes.

If you’re panic-prone, things looked fairly bleak last Friday. The stock market had a terrible day, with the Dow dropping 600+ points after China announced a new round of tariffs on more American goods. Seemingly making matters worse (at least if you’re panic-prone), the President responded by announcing on Twitter that he would respond to China’s latest provocation by placing new tariffs on Chinese goods and raising already-existing tariffs. Raising the stakes even higher, Mr. Trump also called out China and its President Xi Jinping, for continuing to smuggle deadly fentanyl into the United States, promising harsh consequences if things did not change.

Yikes.

If you obsess over the market futures and other market minutiae, things still looked bad when you went to bed Sunday night, with Dow futures down more than 200 points and falling. Then you got up this morning, turned on CNBC or Fox Business and, presto change-o, the Dow futures were up 170! So what happened while you were sleeping to cause such a major shift in the outlook for Monday?

Well, the first thing was the announcement by President Trump and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of a big, shiny new trade deal between our two countries. Next you had Trump and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson discussing the progress of negotiations on a major new trade deal between those two longtime trading partners. Combine those with the new deal with South Korea, the USMCA and ongoing trade negotiations with major trading partners like Brazil and India, and the markets were reminded China is far from the only game in town where the Trump trade agenda is concerned.

What is taking place here is a global resetting of international trade, a 50-years-late ending of the post-WWII Marshall Plan, a plan in which the United States agreed to take it on the chin where international trade was concerned in order to help rebuild the economies of all the countries, like Germany and China and Japan, which had attempted to destroy the free world just a few years earlier.

The original thought process behind the Marshall Plan was that it would remain in effect for about 25 years at most. Here we are 74 years later, and we finally have a President in place who has the intestinal fortitude and negotiating skills necessary to start the Great Unwinding.

Then there’s the ongoing issue of Chinese government-sanctioned smuggling of fentanyl, the greatest deadly drug epidemic of modern times. Late yesterday evening, Mexican officials announced they had seized a Chinese shipment containing 25.75 TONS of fentanyl, a drug that can be lethal with the consumption of just a few grams. The shipment originated in Shanghai, and was headed for Culiacán, Sinaloa, headquarters for the Sinaloa Cartel, whose target market is the United States of America.

Folks, that amount of fentanyl is enough to kill every man, woman, child, dog, cat, and Baltimore rat in the United States many, many times over. That shipment is about as close to an act of outright war any country can commit against another without firing a shot or flying a jet into a skyscraper.

Funny thing: Just a couple of hours after that seizure of Chinese fentanyl was made public, the Chinese government called President Trump and then publicly announced that it was ready to re-start trade negotiations in earnest.

Wow, what a coincidence, huh?

Now, very little of this will make its way into the pages of the New York Times or the air time of CNN or MSNBC or any of the three broadcast networks, all of whom roundly ridiculed President Trump for his “rash” remarks last Friday. But here we sit, just three days later, and he has been proved 100% right and fully justified, yet again, by subsequent events.

It is amazing how consistently this phenomenon happens. Why, it’s almost as if the President of the United States knows things that our fake news media is not privy to. Go figure.

Mark Penn, who is a very smart guy in most ways, has a piece in The Hill this morning in which he correctly notes that the President should keep pushing China but then incorrectly advises him to stay off of Twitter. Penn of course wrote this in a panic over the President’s Friday tweets.  Had he waited just half a day longer, he’d have probably noticed that everything Mr. Trump tweeted on Friday had by Monday been borne out and supported by subsequent events.

So, next time you see President Trump tweet out something that seems outrageous or non-reflective of reality as you know it at that moment in time, wait a few days and see how your reality changes before you react negatively to it.

You’ll be glad you did.

That is all.

That Day AOC Came to Texas to Create Chaos, and Succeeded

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Alexandria Ocasio Cortez went to Clint, Texas yesterday to create chaos.:  She wasn’t there to “tour” a detention facility for illegal aliens who violate U.S. law by entering the country and make false claims of “asylum,” she was there to create chaos, create a story that would get her media attention and create outrage among her social justice warrior support base. And that’s what she did.

To fully grasp what AOC did and why, you have to go back to the fact that she is a performance artist, not a policy maker. She is an actress under the control of a radical leftist group called the Justice Democrats, led by a Saul Alinsky disciple named Cenk Uygur. Uygur and his pack of depraved anti-American radicals supply AOC with her daily scripts, and yesterday’s script needed to take place in Clint. Thus, it did.

Of course, the compliant DNC fake news media gave her exactly what she wanted – wall to wall coverage on CNN and MSNBC, outrage from all the SJWs posting at Twitter, Facebook and other leftwing mouthpiece social media sites, headlines like the one at this link all over the Internet, and dominance of the landing page at the Drudge Report. What more could a fake congresswoman ask for?

While she is the loud red mouth that gets most of the fake news media attention, the reality is that AOC is just a small spoke in a big wheel. That wheel is rolling inexorably towards the Democrat goal of destroying the most basic foundation of any free nation, which is a controllable border. The wheel’s journey begins in Central America, where Soros-funded radicals have been recruiting and paying paying people to either make the long, dangerous journey up through Mexico themselves or, even worse, to send their children along with an adult human trafficker who then lies to U.S. border officials that this is his own child. The latter scenario is becoming more and more the norm as time goes on.

We have seen wave after wave of these caravans since the first big one of them made news last Fall, the stream becoming so constant that they in fact pretty much stopped even being “news” early this year. Which of course is the goal – the Democrats want this situation to come to be considered “normal” in the public’s mind.

The other goal is even worse: To overwhelm our Customs and Border Patrol personnel and the facilities they manage.  The insane state of our immigration laws requires these officials to separate “families” (most of whom are not actually families at all) as a part the asylum process. The goal there is to overwhelm the facilities there to house all these people to create bad conditions that can then be exploited by sleazy politicians like AOC and the other 13 Democrats who participated in yesterday’s charade.

The strategy here is pure Saul Alinsky Rules for Radicals: Create a crisis – check. Exploit the crisis – AOC reportedly began screaming at and refusing to comply with CBP officials’ requests as soon as she entered the facility and the refused to fully participate in the tour of it – check. Personalize it by identifying the “enemy” and publicly demonizing them – AOC was all over Twitter last night making all sorts of outrageous claims against CBP – check.

And then finally, create enough outrage among the public that you are able to effect the “change” you desire, which for the Democrats is to fully open our southern border and turn our nation into just another third-world country. Because third-world populations, as we have seen thousands of times over the centuries, are far more-easily dominated by leftist despots.

That’s who AOC is, that is what she does, and you won’t see her despicable actions being condemned by a single Democrat today because they all share her goal. Don’t kid yourself and others by pretending she is some sort of outlier in the Democrat Party, because this is what the Democrat Party has become: Our nation’s lone true existential threat.

AOC is today’s Democrat Party’s real face, the heavily-painted face of repugnant evil in our time.

That is all.

Trump Thinks it’s Time to Let the [Limited] Deportations Begin

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Well, this is interesting. – Stuff is about to get real on the border, folks. Last night, President Donald Trump sent out these tweets, sending the fake news media into yet another round of hysteria:

So, what does that mean, exactly? The AP says this, from an anonymous source, of course: “An administration official said the effort would focus on the more than 1 million people who have been issued final deportation orders by federal judges but remain at large in the country. The official spoke on condition of anonymity to explain the president’s tweets.”

It will be interesting, to say the least, to see how much support the President has to make this move towards a limited deportation effort. When he first began talking about possible deportations in the summer of 2015, I wrote that the public would never tolerate an effort to deport all of the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants in the U.S. I still believe that, in 2015, he would have had virtually no public support for such an effort.

But today, I suspect we will find that the public is in a completely different mood, or at least a large portion of it is. After watching this organized effort by Democrat/Soros-backed activist groups to overwhelm the country with massive “caravans” of people from Central America and seeing neither party in congress make the slightest effort to do anything about it, you can be sure that the 43-44% of the public who make up Trump’s base today will fully support this limited effort to deport the scofflaws whose cases have already been determined to have no merit under our asylum laws, and you can bet a sizable portion of independents will as well.

The media will of course put out a series of quick fake polls showing the opposite, because this is what our fake news media does. They are all-in with the Democrats and establishment Republican on turning the U.S. into just another third-world country in the name of some fool’s notion of “fairness,” and will continue to execute from their well-established playbook.

In the meantime, much has been happening begin to slow the flow of illegal immigrants up through Mexico since the President’s threat to implement tariffs:

  • AMLO, Mexico’s President, actually sold his private jet to help fund efforts to halt the caravans at Mexico’s southern border;
  • Mexico’s parliament is considering funding a border wall of its own;
  • Mexico has arrested multiple activists known to be organizers of the caravans;
  • Just yesterday, Mexico announced it had intercepted four tractor-trailer trucks packed with an estimated 800 illegals from Central America;
  • The State Department announced that it will withhold more than $550 million in foreign aid to El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala until those governments are able to show they are also making strong efforts to halt the flow of these politically-organized caravans. This is the motivation behind Guatemala’s sudden willingness to sign a “safe-third nation” agreement, which will require illegals coming into their country to apply for asylum there rather than moving up into Mexico and the U.S.

Hey, it turns out that, despite the fake media narrative to the contrary, threats of tariffs and withholding of aid do work after all. Go figure.

The other interesting aspect of all of this is that the President chose to make this announcement the night before his campaign kickoff rally in Orlando, Florida. Take a look a this clip to understand the excitement that has built around that announcement:

Trump rallies have become our nation’s latest tailgate party opportunity, where thousands of folks were already getting in line outside the 25,000-seat arena 40 hours before the event. The Trump Campaign reports it has had more than 75,000 requests for tickets to the event. By comparison, the more than 130 “Impeach Trump” rallies held over the weekend were virtually empty, such an utter bomb that the fake news media had to find something else to focus on.

Democrats who claim that this kind of massive demonstration of support has no meaning in the race are doing exactly what Republicans were doing back in 2008, when they made the same claims about the big turnouts at Obama rallies: Whistling past their political graveyards. Enthusiasm is everything in presidential politics.

The Democrats and their media toadies brainwashed the public into electing an Alinskyite activist to the presidency in 2008. Today, the Democrat Party is presenting us with an array of Alinskyite activists trying to repeat that feat.

Trump’s growing base of support has woke to that particular scam.

That is all.

WATCH: President Trump Field Dresses the U.S. Chamber of Commerce

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

President Trump was on CNBC today, and boy did he take it out on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.  The first five minutes of the 27 minute clip below are basically the President laying the Chamber out and field-dressing it.

Watch the interview – a transcript of the first 5 minutes follows below:

Host: I guess Mr. [Myron] Brilliant (yes, his real name) who was on from the Chamber of Commerce, you got to see a part of that interview Mr. President – what did you make of it?

Trump: Well, I guess he’s not so brilliant. Look, without tariffs we would be captive to every country, and we have been for many years. That’s why we have an $800 billion trade deficit for years – we have a big deficit with every country. They take advantage of us in every way possible, and the U.S. Chamber is right there with them.  And I assume that…I’m a member of the Chamber, maybe I’ll have to rethink that because when you look at it, the Chamber is probably more for the companies and people that are their members than they are for our country.

Without tariffs, we would be outside of – something that I won’t even mention, we would be absolutely at a competitive disadvantage the likes of which you’ve never seen. Now, people haven’t used tariffs, but tariffs are a beautiful thing when you’re the piggy bank, when you have all the money. Everyone’s trying to get our money.

China, the China deal’s gonna work out. You know why? Because of tariffs. Because right now China is getting absolutely decimated by companies that are leaving China, going to other countries, including our own, because they don’t want to pay the tariffs. And China will, in my opinion, based on a lot of facts and a lot of knowledge, China’s gonna make a deal because they’re gonna have to make a deal.

Host: The deal with Mexico. You’ve alluded to something you’re going to make clear later. You’ve heard the criticism – can you go into exactly what else was part of that deal that you haven’t made clear yet?

Trump: Well, I’m gonna tell you that most people, the people having to do with borders and illegal immigration, they understand exactly what that is. But we purposely said that we wouldn’t mention it for a little while, because it has to be brought by their legislative body, it has to be taken to a vote. So we didn’t bring it up, but most people know that answer, and it’s another very powerful tool in addition to the other very powerful tools we got.

We had none of these tools, or virtually none. They’ve been talked about for 20 years with Mexico. Until I said that, and it wasn’t a threat – I thought that we’d be receiving billions of dollars [in tariffs], frankly.

And you know what happens with tariffs? Companies will move out of Mexico, and they’ll move out of China, and they’ll come into the United States. They’ll go to other countries, too, but in the case of Mexico, I’d say we’d get virtually 100% of the companies. They make a product and they sell it into our country.

We lose a tremendous amount of money every year into Mexico. For years, we’ve lost over $100 billion per year on trade with Mexico.

And of course, then we get into the second problem we have with Mexico, the drugs coming across the border. We want to have very powerful borders, and you can’t do it unless you have these deals with Mexico.

And the New York Times wrote a story like I’d already done the deal. It’s nonsense. We’d talked about it for months and months and months, and they wouldn’t get there. So we just said look, if you don’t get there, we’re just gonna have to charge you hundreds of billions of dollars in “taxes.”

And we would’ve been just fine, because what would’ve happened [crosstalk] – what would’ve happened is the companies would move into the United States, back where they came from.

They [Mexico] took 30% of our automobile companies, our car companies, they moved into Mexico – they would all move back if they had to pay a 25% tariff. They would all move back, it’s a very simple formula.

Now, that would leave Mexico in an unbelievably bad position, and we don’t want that, either. And I spoke with the president of Mexico, I get along with him very well, and we made this deal. But this is something the U.S. has been trying to get to for over 20 year with Mexico.

As soon as I put tariffs on the table, it was done. It took two days.

He’s [Mr. Brilliant] is not protecting our country. He’s doing a great disservice. And frankly, I’ve never had support from the U.S. Chamber because they know where I stand on these things. I don’t need money, I don’t care how things are [with the Chamber and its members] – the only thing I care about is our country.

He’s protecting all of those companies that are members who like it just the way things are, and they have companies in Mexico, and they have companies in China.

And later, at the 12:17 mark, there is this:

But I just want to say to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce: If we didn’t have tariffs, we wouldn’t have made a deal with Mexico. We got everything we wanted, and we’re gonna be a great partner to Mexico now. Because, now they respect us.

[Transcript Ends]

There is much more, and you should listen to all of it. Very educational as to the President’s thought processes regarding tariffs, Mexico, China, and the folks at the U.S. Chamber

That is all.

Trump Strikes a WINNING Deal With Mexico, U.S. Media Scrambles to Fake the Story

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

This is how the #fakenews works, New York Times style. – President Trump won his standoff with Mexican President AMLO last night, securing an agreement in which the failed state off of the U.S. Southern border made a series of concessions designed to slow the free flow of illegal immigrants from various nations in Central and South America. But you would never know that from reading the piece the New York Times posted about the deal, unless you read all the way down to the 1,500 word story’s 9th paragraph, where the fake writers of the piece begrudgingly began to detail the Mexican concessions.

From reading only the headline – “Trump Calls Off Plan to Impose Tariffs on Mexico” – and the first 8 paragraphs, which is more than the average reader takes in, you were left to believe that the President simply surrendered in his negotiations with Mexican officials, threw up his hands and gave up on imposing any tariffs due to pressure from Democrats, RINOs and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Because that, friends, is how your fake news media works.

For the New York Times, its all the news that’s fit to fake. Meanwhile, over at CNN, fake host Don Lemon hosted a panel of leftwing nitwits who all joined Lemon in claiming that they knew “this is exactly where we would be on Friday night?” Yeah, sure you did. You’ve been 100% wrong about everything else that’s taken place over the last four years, but this you got right.  Uh-huh.

As part of the agreement reached late Friday, Mexico agrees to deploy an additional 6,000 national guard troops to its southern border to ramp up efforts to stop the caravans before they enter the country, to expand the program that allows the U.S. to send asylum seekers back to Mexico where they will remain while their case is being adjudicated, to implement improvements in cross-border communications with U.S. officials, and to continue to work to arrest and prosecute those who are organizing the massive caravans, a process that has already resulted in several arrests.

The joint statement released Friday night by the State Department also contemplates the negotiation of further measures:

“Both parties also agree that, in the event the measures adopted do not have the expected results, they will take further actions. Therefore, the United States and Mexico will continue their discussions on the terms of additional understandings to address irregular migrant flows and asylum issues, to be completed and announced within 90 days, if necessary.”

So, there’s the actual news as it really happened. You wouldn’t get it from the New York Times, and no one at CNN knew it was where we would end up. Matter of fact, pretty much everyone at CNN spent the past 10 days laughing at the President and predicting his threats to implement tariffs were hollow and would produce no concessions from Mexico at all.

But hey, these are the same “experts” who spent 18 months telling us that “Robert Mueller has the goods on Trump” and that Trump would be indicted any day now. So, just par for the course down there in Atlanta.

In the end, the United States got everything it wanted, and only Mexico made concessions. To normal people, that’s called “WINNING.” I’ll never get tired of it.

That is all.

The Fake Media Disgraces Itself In The Wake Of The President’s Speech

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Your fake news media in action!  – President Trump gave a 9 minute speech on the need for ramped-up border security Tuesday night, and in response, the Associated Press disgraced itself with a “report” on the speech that is so biased that it reads like the work of a 14 year-old writing for the local jr. high newspaper.

The AP report’s very first sentence claims that the President’s speech “was heavy with dark immigration rhetoric but offered little in the way of concessions or new ideas”. The word “dark” has long been one of the fake media/Democrat coalition’s favorite words to describe any proposal or language coming from any GOP president going all the way back to Ronald Reagan. It obviously polls well for them.

The third paragraph of the AP piece dutifully recites the Democrats’ top-line talking point, accusing the President of “appealing to ‘fear, not facts’ and manufacturing a border crisis for political gain.” The AP makes no attempt to analyze the accuracy – or lack thereof – of those accusations by Democrats.  Because of course it doesn’t.

The fifth paragraph is an ode to the Democrat talking points on the partial government “shutdown” which really isn’t a shutdown at all, stating that Mr. Trump “addressed the nation as the shutdown stretched through its third week, with hundreds of thousands of federal workers going without pay and some congressional Republicans growing increasingly jittery about the spreading impact of the impasse.”

Fact:  No federal employee has at this point missed a paycheck due to this “shutdown.”  Not one.

Paragraph #7 accuses the President’s re-election campaign of raising money related to the border crisis, as if that is something unusual.  Politicians of both parties regularly use major public events and crises as events to send out fundraising letters.  It happens all the time, and is hardly a newsworthy event.  The AP would have never dreamed of mentioning this during the Obama years.

Paragraphs #9, #10 and #11 recite more Democrat talking points. You can read them for yourself.

Paragraph #12 is a doozy:  “In his dire address, Trump ticked off a string of statistics and claims to make his case that there is a crisis at the border, but a number of his statements were misleading, such as saying the new trade deal with Mexico would pay for the wall, or suggesting through gruesome examples that immigrants are more likely to commit crime.”

Note the use of the word “dire”, an editorial comment that has no place in a “news” report.  Then there’s the claim that the President was “misleading” in accurately stating that the new trade deal with Mexico will in fact pay for the wall, which it will do many times over in the coming years.  That trade agreement is far more favorable to the U.S. than NAFTA, and will have a significant stimulative impact on the U.S. economy.  The AP is lying here, plain and simple.

That final passage, “suggesting through gruesome examples that immigrants are more likely to commit crime” is yet another AP lie.  An outright, intentional misleading of its audience.  First, the President NEVER claims that “immigrants” are “more likely to commit crime.”  Never.  Not one time.

President Trump does, however, claim that ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS are more likely to commit crime in the U.S., which is unarguably true, and which Barack Hussein Obama and Hillary Clinton have also correctly pointed out during their careers. The AP is fully aware of this unarguable FACT, but of course omits it from its fake reporting.

Paragraph #13 is another doozy of fake-newsery.  First sentence:  “Trump, who has long railed against illegal immigration at the border, has recently seized on humanitarian concerns to argue there is a broader crisis that can only be solved with a wall.” In fact, candidate Donald Trump “seized” on humanitarian concerns over the border crisis throughout his 2015 and 2016 presidential campaign.  Time after time after time, in dozens of campaign rallies all across the country.

Somehow, the AP missed it.  Go figure.

Second sentence: “But critics say the security risks are overblown and the administration is at least partly to blame for the humanitarian situation.” “Critics” = Democrats. More talking points, which the AP makes no attempt to analyze in the editorial fashion it reserves for Republicans.

Paragraph #14 accuses the President of using “emotional language” to describe horrific murders and rapes committed in recent years by illegal immigrants, crimes the AP has done its best to studiously ignore, like the recent murder of a California law enforcement officer by an illegal immigrant who had been given sancutary by the Democrat Party’s policies in that state.

Paragraph #15 repeats the outright deception about “immigrants” being less likely to commit crimes, leaving out the word “illegal”, which the AP knows is the true focus of the President’s concerns.

In between those last two paragraphs is a chart that shows the yearly apprehensions along our Southwest border.  This chart was published in early 2018 by the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol.  It shows that border apprehensions fell dramatically during President Trump’s first year in office, as potential immigrants became discouraged at the loss of the Obama Administration’s welcoming hand. The AP dishonestly presents this as some sort of proof that there is no crisis at our border.

What the AP report studiously ignores is the well-documented reality that border apprehensions rose dramatically during 2018, as leftist groups in the U.S. ramped up their efforts to organize caravans of immigrants to assault the border. Indeed, apprehensions in May, 2018 were 400% higher than those recorded in April, 2017.

That’s a crisis.

The rest of the AP report is equally disgraceful, but I’m running out of space here.

Our reality is this: There is indeed a crisis at our Southern border. It exists due to 30 years of idiotic open borders policies enacted by a succession of globalist presidents working with pliable congresses, supported by a string of court decisions issued by lawless leftist federal judges. The result of all of that horrific policy-making and court-deciding is that, once illegal immigrants cross into our country it is now virtually impossible for our government to send them back to their home country.

The leaders of the Democrat Party love this situation – despite all of the human- and drug-trafficking and massive human misery that comes along with it – because they view these new illegal aliens as a gigantic future voting bloc. Many U.S. business interests love this situation because they enjoy the cheap labor.  It’s cynical and disgraceful and it is destroying our society.

The only way to effectively combat the situation is to prevent the waves from entering the country in the first place, because once they are here, very few are ever returning home.  The most effective way to prevent their entry is with a wall, plain and simple.

This is a crisis the Democrats and establishment Republicans have created, and it is a crisis President Trump was elected to resolve.

Our fake news media will never tell you any of this, because none of it is in the approved narrative they’ve coordinated with the Democrats in Washington.  But this is our reality, and it is simply unsustainable.

God Bless President Trump for trying to do something about it.

That is all.

Donald Trump Just Keeps on Winning for America

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Ok, well, he IS the Boss. – Bruce Springsteen says he doesn’t “see anyone out there at the moment… the man who can beat Trump, or the woman who can beat Trump.” For some reason, the UK Daily Mail thought it was important for us all to know that, so there you go.

Tired of all this Winning yet? – President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping agreed during the G-20 Summit over the weekend to a 90-day pause in the ongoing trade war between the two nations. While leftists in and out of our fake news media are poo-pooing the deal as just a return to the status quo prior to President Trump’s implementation of new tariffs, that is not the case at all.

The U.S. side of the deal apparently consists of agreeing to not increase U.S. tariffs on hundreds of billions of Chinese goods for the 90-day period, as Trump had threatened to do on January 1. In return, China agrees to rescind its tariffs on imports of U.S. automobiles, roll back its 40% tariff rates on most U.S. goods to lower levels, agreed to purchase an as-yet unspecified amount of U.S. goods to reduce the trade deficit, and – perhaps most importantly – to “stiffen penalties on sales of the powerful opioid fentanyl into the U.S., a step the White House press secretary described as ‘a wonderful humanitarian gesture.'”

Leftists might not like it, but the markets obviously do: Dow futures are up bigly as I write this Update this morning.  #WINNING.

Speaking of winning… – City officials in Tijuana, Mexico acted to move the estimated 6,000 “migrants” out of the sports facility they had occupied for the last few weeks due to the horrid unsanitary conditions they had created there. In a move that will make it harder for the activists among the crowd to mount further assaults on the border crossings there, city officials moved the “migrants” to an abandoned concert venue more than 10 miles further away from the border.

Griff Jenkins at Fox News – and basically no one else in our fake news media – reported last Friday that fully 1/3rd of the “migrants” were being treated for health issues, including head lice, “tuberculosis, four cases of HIV/AIDS and four separate cases of chickenpox,” according to local health authorities. With the unsanitary conditions growing worse by the day, Mexican officials also feared an outbreak of Hepatitis could take place unless the crowd was moved.

In another related turn of events, newly-inaugurated Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO), in one of his first acts in office, “signed an agreement with his counterparts from three Central American countries to establish a development plan to stem the flow of migrants seeking asylum in the U.S.” This compact was entered into at the urging of the Trump Administration.

Here’s why this is important, even if the human misery among these poor people is hard to watch: The move 10 miles further from the border will no doubt encourage more of them to either return home or accept the generous offer of asylum the Mexican government has been offering them for more than a month now. This “caravan” once numbered more than 10,000, so many already have done so, as Mexican officials confirmed early last week.

The other key factor is that, as it becomes clear that the United States of America is not going to allow these “caravans” to just walk right into our country and sign up for welfare benefits, it will become increasingly difficult for the leftist activists forming and funding them to find people in Honduras and other Central American nations willing to participate. The new willingness of the Mexican government to cooperate with U.S. efforts to halt this tide is a crucial development in all of this.

You will never see anyone at CNN, the New York Times, the Washington Post or any of the three dying broadcast networks admit this, but these latest developments demonstrate how extraordinarily effective the Trump Administration’s response to this “migrant caravan” issue has been.

It is such a joy to have a President who just goes to work every day and finds ways to get things done for the American people rather than cowering in fear at the prospect of getting a little bad press. To get to this point on this “caravan” issue, President Trump has had to overcome decades of horrible immigration policy decisions, the cacophony of inaccurate and outright fake reporting coming from the U.S. and international news media, ongoing resistance from some within his own Administration and a seemingly unending series of laughably unconstitutional decisions issued by an array of Obama-appointed federal judges.

Yet still he not only perseveres, but finds ways to prevail. That is #WINNING. Bigly.

Paris Burning Watch:

By the way, just so everyone understands, the reason why French Child President Emanuel Macron is raising that nation’s already confiscatory gasoline tax to even higher levels is not, as some have reported, an attempt to improve the government’s budget situation. What it really is is a fool’s effort to meet his country’s emissions reduction goals which France – like every nation on earth other than the United States of America – pledged to meet as a part of the Paris Climate Accords.

France’s emissions have actually increased since Macron committed his country to that socialist wealth redistribution scam, which is an embarrassment to him and his government. But hey, he’s not alone – not one single, solitary signatory country to the Paris Accords has met its pledged goals. Indeed, the country that has cut its emissions more than any nation on earth since that deal was signed is…wait for it…The United States of America.

Some of you probably tire of seeing me make this point, but it’s a key point to make:  This is just one more reason to be thrilled that Donald J. Trump won the 2016 presidential contest.  Because had the Pantsuit Princess prevailed that historic day, the streets of New York and Los Angeles would probably be burning along with those in Paris.

That is all.

Senator Graham Transitions From RINO to Trumpist on Immigration

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

So, you’re sayin’ there’s still a chance. –  Hearts went to palpitating at fake media outlets all over the Texas news media yesterday when their hero, Irish Bob “Beto” O’Rourke, said he just might be running for president in 2020. At least, that’s the way Irish Bob’s comments are being breathlessly reported on your Texas-based radios and televisions this morning.

Of course, as is so often the case with our fake news media reporting on Irish Bob, the reporting isn’t exactly right. What the eternally cute and fidgety Democrat boy toy actually said was this:

O’Rourke said that he had just returned from a vacation with his family and was enjoying being home in El Paso. “That’s what we’re focused on now,” he said. “Just being together as a family, making sure I deliver everything I can to the people I represent until Jan. 3. Then Amy and I will think about what we can do next to contribute to the best of our ability to this community,” he said.

Then he looked at his wife in the audience. “Amy, how was that?”

In other words, the beloved Beto did not say he might be running, he just didn’t say an outright, unqualified “no” when asked. But that was enough to set our “Dumb and Dumber” fake news media off on another round of Betomania promotion.

Because of course it was.

Oh, and by the way, he’s running. There’s way too much money in it for him to do anything else.

Ocasio Cortez Watch:

Irish Bob’s ideal running mate when 2024 comes around got into a little dust-up on Twitter with Senator Lindsey Graham on Monday.  It went something like this:

Bazinga!

Speaking of Senator Graham… – The Senator from South Carolina has been on a roll lately.  I missed this on Sunday, but he sent out a couple of tweets that afternoon that deserve to be noted, mainly because Graham has in the past – while he was following John McCain around like a little puppy dog – always been a dove on illegal immigration:

Folks, when we have looming armies of illegal immigrants behaving so badly at our Southern border that even Lindsey Graham is ready to just shut it down, what we have is an invasion, plain and simple.

Never forget that that’s what this is: An invasion. Because words are important, and so is recognizing things for what they are.

It is also very important to remember that the people in these “caravans” have no legitimate claim to asylum in the United States. Asylum is meant for those fleeing wars or other violent oppression from the government in their home country. The best fake argument that Democrats and our fake news media can come up with for these folks is that they are “fleeing gang violence,” a term we see and hear repeated ad nauseum in almost every fake news media report on the matter.

Look, people in Chicago have a real problem with gang violence. So do folks in Los Angeles and New Orleans and most other Democrat-run big cities in the United States. No one in the Democrat Party or our fake news media is saying that their constituents in those cities have some sort of unfettered right to form up “caravans” of 5,000 people and storm into Canada.

These people are “fleeing” poverty, nothing else. Most of them freely admit that whenever one of the few moderately-curious “journalists” embeded with them ask why they want to come to America. Some of them are looking for work, others are simply looking to get on America’s public dole, which Democrats have made so easy to abuse.

Even if this bunch had legitimate claims to asylum, they are in that case obligated under international law to seek it in the first foreign country they enter, which would be Mexico. Mexico’s government has generously offered asylum to every one of these people, most of whom flatly turned it down. Real “asylum seekers” don’t get to do that. Fake ones do, apparently.

In situations like this, liberals love to get all teary-eyed and quote the poem on the Statue of Liberty, as if it is some sort of law (it isn’t).  Here is what that poem says:

“Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.”

Here is what that poem does not say:

“Give me an army of thousands of mostly military-aged males, your gangsters yearning to crash through our border checkpoints, The wretched grifters wishing to plant the flag of their home country on our soil and live off the generosity of our taxpayers.”

We are a nation of immigrants, that much of the liberal dogma on this subject is true.  Legal immigration through an orderly process in which our country gets to decide, through its sovereign rights, who does and does not get to enter our shores, is a good and positive thing.

But this – this invasion – is not a good thing at all. Thank goodness we have a President who sees the situation for what it is, and deals with it properly despite all the false hysteria emanating from the other side.

That is all.
Postscript: I meant to include this terrific tweet from Buck Sexton in the original piece, but forgot.  So, a little late, here it is:

Perfect.

That is really all.
