Refugees From Central America or From California – Pick Your Poison

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Well, it took about a year longer than I figured it would, but hey, NBC has very low standards for their on-air talent. – Megyn Kelly appears to have been canned by NBC on Thursday for having violated the rules of political correctness on her extremely low-rated morning program on Tuesday.  The fake news network had been casting around for a good reason to eat the remaining tens of millions left on Kelly’s hilariously-unjustified $69 milllion contract, and she finally provided them with a good enough excuse.

As a refugee from Fox News, and an imperious and obnoxious one at that, Kelly was roundly detested by basically everyone she came into contact with at NBC, and thus had no internal support base to defend her when she made her remarks on Tuesday, which basically amounted to “it was ok for a white kid to dress up as Dianna Ross for Halloween when I was a kid.”

To be clear, not it wasn’t.  Megyn Kelly was a kid in the Albany area of New York in the 1970s and 1980s, and no, it was not ok in the 1980s to put black-face makeup on your white kid and dress them up in an afro and sparkly dress and try to pass her off as Dianna Ross.  That stuff all went out the window in the late 1960s, along with re-runs of Amos ‘n Andy and Jim Crow laws.

Kelly issued a tearful on-air apology on her Wednesday show, which would have been enough for any of the other on-air “talent” at NBC, but could never be enough for someone known to harbor – gasp! – conservative points of view.  Plus, her show was a disaster from day one, so NBC grabbed the excuse to get her off the air and out of its hair.

I do not feel even a little bit of sympathy for Kelly, who is one of the most over-rated people I’ve ever observed in any profession.  But everyone should understand that her treatment by NBC right now is completely biased and unfair.  If NBC wanted to simply fire her because her program is a dumpster fire, that would be totally justified, because that is absolutely the case.  But firing her for making an admittedly stupid on-air comment for which literally no one else at NBC would be fired is wrong.

The truth is that Kelly’s biggest mistake – her “original sin” in NBC’s eyes – was not becoming a wild-eyed leftist on-air when she moved to NBC so she would fit in with all the other on-air talent.  That’s what Alisyn Camerota did when she moved from Fox News to CNN, and she is completely ensconced as the permanent host of a morning show over there that no one watches.  Camerota could say exactly what Kelly said and no one would blink an eye.  Why?  Because she is always mindlessly leftwing in her views, always adheres strictly to the daily DNC talking points, and thus no one at CNN would ever think of her ever intentionally being politically incorrect.

Dang, have I really just written 550 words about Megyn Kelly?  Enough.  Let’s move on.

Speaking of refugees, isn’t it amazing how the fake news media has stopped speaking of them? – Seriously, the obviously-staged “migrant caravan” that had been almost the sole focus of our fake news media for 10 solid days suddenly disappeared from our TV screens entirely yesterday in favor of the incredible un-explosive pipe bomb story.  Funny how that happens, huh?

Well, the “caravan” is still there, still heading up the western side of Mexico, the “refugees” still getting coached about what to say by their Democrat organizers for when they arrive at the U.S. border.  The current size of the caravan is variously estimated to be 3,600 by the Mexican government, 7,000 or 14,000, depending on which fake news media source you wish to believe.  In fact, the Mexican government claimed yesterday that something around 1,500 of the “refugees” who are supposedly fleeing “gangs” in their home country of Honduras have sought and been granted asylum in the gang-dominated failed state of Mexico.  Go figure.

We’re almost two weeks into this story and we have yet to see one single, solitary Democrat express the desire to protect our nation’s sovereign right to decide who we allow to come into our country.  Not one.  Think about that:  I just showed you a video in Monday’s Update of Barack Hussein Obama aggressively expressing his view in 2005 that the U.S. must control illegal immigration.  That’s just 13 years ago, and you can go out to YouTube and see similar videos of luminaries like Harry Reid, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Dianne Feinstein and Chuck Schumer saying the same things.

That was, of course, before the elevation of Obama to the presidency and the reorganization of the entire Democrat Party on Saul Alinsky Rules for Radicals principles.  Today, instead of pretending to be the protectors of working class Americans, the Democrats favor opening up our borders completely in order to create as much societal chaos as possible and in the belief that these millions of people fleeing failed socialist states will come into America and continue favoring the same failed socialist policies because that is all they know.  They’re probably right, and if they can ever succeed in getting all these millions of illegal aliens voting rights, the Democrats could once again become our dominant political party and implement their long-desired socialist nirvana that would completely destroy America as we know it.

Hell, they’re already making progress in that regard just from all the Californian refugees that have relocated to other states in the past 20 years.  Look around the country right now and you see all these tight races in states like Montana, Nevada, Arizona and Colorado, states that had been reliably “red” states that are now on the verge of turning completely blue.  They also happen to be states that have had large influxes of citizens fleeing the socialist nirvana of California in recent years.

In their political behavior, Californians are no different from these Central American refugees:  They flee their home state due to the high taxes and brutal regulations implemented by the socialist government there which have made it incredibly hard for middle class Americans to make a living, own a home and live a semi-free life.  But, when they arrive in their new state, they just keep on voting for the same Democrat types who created all the governmental chaos that led them to flee in the first place.

That is how you get a down-the-line leftwinger like Montana’s Jon Tester, one of Chuck Schumer’s most reliable votes, positioned to possibly win re-election against a pretty strong Republican candidate.  It’s how you get to the point where the voters in Colorado are about to slit their own economic wrists by passing a ballot initiative that would basically outlaw drilling for incredibly abundant oil and gas reserves there.  It’s how you get a limp-wristed jerk like Jeff Flake representing Arizona, and a neck-and-neck race between a strong GOP candidate who is a true American hero and a radical leftist Democrat who has no real qualifications for the job to take Flake’s place.

Thus, while Democrats everywhere are anxious as they can be to let as many illegals as they possibly can from Central America and all other failed socialist states into our country, the reality is that they are already beginning to achieve their goals simply by continuing to destroy California’s middle class and forcing it to move to other states.  It’s one of the great ironies of our time.

Maybe it is time for leaders in these other states to force anyone moving to their state from California to spend time in some sort of re-education facility before joining the general population.  These people obviously need some de-programming to get the California mindset out of them so that they can become actual productive members of society again.  Call it a matter of self-preservation.

That is all.

It’s The Mooch’s World And We’re Just Living In It

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

  • Somewhere, in an alternate universe from hell, Anthony Scaramucci and Megyn Kelly are getting married in a ceremony presided over by Maxine Waters.  Reince Priebus is the best man, Katie Couric is the maid of honor, and Freddie Mercury is belting out “Bohemian Rhapsody”.  I’m glad I don’t live in that universe.  This one is cray cray enough.
  • I hadn’t heard this until this morning, but in addition to a) being hired to do a job for which he had no visible qualifications, b) alienating everyone in the West Wing of the White House during his first 24 hours on the job, c) unwittingly giving the most profane interview in the history of the New Yorker Magazine, d) displaying a level of breathtakingly rank naivete’ towards the real nature of the fake news media, e) getting Reince Priebus fired, f) having divorce papers served on him by his Trump-hating wife, and g) getting not just fired, but forcibly escorted from the White House grounds, all within a span of 11 days, The Mooch’s wife also gave birth to a healthy new baby boy last Monday.  The Telegraph reports that The Mooch was not only not present for the blessed event, he chose to send his congratulations to his estranged spouse via text message.  Hey, at least he didn’t do it with a Tweet.
  • Speaking of adult children, what in the hell is wrong with J.K. Rowling?  The author of the unending series of Harry Potter books took a shot at President Trump a few days ago when she saw a snippet of video in which it appeared that President Trump had failed to shake the hand of a 3 year-old, wheelchair-bound boy at a White House reception.  Ms. Rowling – who has been a serial basher of the President on her Twitter account – wrote “How stunning, and how horrible, that Trump cannot bring himself to shake the hand of a small boy who only wanted to touch the President.”  Of course, it wasn’t horrible or stunning at all, if only one takes the time to view the full video of the reception.  The President had in fact interacted with the boy a few seconds earlier, not only taking his hand, but bending down to hug him and spend time talking with him.  Within hours, literally thousands of Twitter users pointed this truth out to the Rosie O’Donnell wannabe author.
  • Any normal person possessed of the most rudimentary human manners would have had a simple solution:  delete the tweet and apologize to both the little boy and the President.  But not the mighty J.K. Rowling, oh no.  Apparently simple good manners are beneath a fantasy writer of her stature and wealth.  Days went by with no word from the author, despite a building number of reports on her bad behavior in the news media.  Even when the boy’s parents tweeted directly to her that she was wrong and owed them, their son and the President an apology, no response the imperious writer.
  • Finally, a full day after the parents’ plea, Ms. Rowling lowered herself to issue an apology, but only to the boy.  It was only after Politifact weighed in on Monday, giving Ms. Rowling’s tweet a “Pants on Fire” rating, that the fantasy queen finally deleted the offending tweet.  But still no apology to the boy’s parents or the President, whom she was slandering in the first place.  What a creep.
  • Somewhere, in another alternate universe, The Mooch is firing J.K. Rowling and giving her Harry Potter gig to Megyn Kelly.  I’m glad I don’t live there, either.

Just another day in It’s The Mooch’s World And We’re Just Living In It America.

That is all.

CNN Slathers More Lipstick On Its Fakenews Pig

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

  • The breathless headline at Buzzfeed this morning reads “CNN Is Imposing Strict New Rules On Its Russia Coverage”.  Wow.  “Strict new rules,” huh?  What must those be?  Well, if you read the actual story itself – which we know that most of Buzzfeed’s short attention-span browsers won’t, you find that these “strict new rules” involve CNN’s fake journalists having to – gasp! – check with a couple of editors before rushing their unsourced fake stories to the CNN fakenews website.  What this tell us, if you understand what’s happening here, is that, prior to the issuance of this memo, CNN’s fake journalists could just toss stuff up there without having to check with an editor.  Given that the memo was issued after CNN was revealed yet again has having posted an utterly false hatchet job on a former Trump campaign operative, it should come as no surprise that CNN has to this point been exercising literally no journalistic process at all.
  • But now they are, right?  Well, no.  The thing to understand about this much-ballyhooed memo is that it targets only CNN’s fake journalists who post website stories.  It does not impact CNN’s even faker reporters, anchors and talking heads to infest the fake news network’s television coverage.  Those people are still free to toss out any slander, libel or fairy tale they want to toss while on the air.  So, despite Buzzfeed’s blaring headline, it turns out these “strict new rules” are just CNN’s way of slathering a bunch more lipstick on its #fakenews pig.
  • But hey, CNN is far from the only TV network dedicated to the pursuit and dissemination of fake news.  Take NBC’s Chuck Todd as a great example.  Mr. Todd, on his Meet the Press Sunday morning program, interviewed Communist Senator Bernie Sanders for eight full minutes without asking him a single question about why he and his wife find themselves under investigation by the FBI.  This “oversight” by Mr. Todd extends the stonewall of this story by his entire network, which has to this point failed to spend a single second of air time informing its viewers of the Commie’s legal dilemma.
  • But hey, it’s not just CNN and NBC:  CBS and ABC have also joined NBC in stonewalling the Sanders story.  See, FBI investigations are only “news” to the fake news networks when they target Republicans.
  • But back to CNN:  the greatest part of this entire episode is that CNN fake reporter Brian Stelter had to admit in his newsletter on Sunday that CNN’s editors are refusing comment on the matter, even to CNN’s own fake reporters!  That, folks, is 100% priceless right there.
  • Tired of Winning Yet?:  Variety’s Sonya Saraiya reports in her weekend column that, after just 3 weeks on the air at her new home of NBC, Megyn Kelly’s “star is dimmer than ever.”  Ms. Saraiya continues:  “Kelly is didactic without being trustworthy; patronizing without being impressive. Her voiceover suggests doom without really proving it; there’s a scare-mongering side to her reportage. And, most importantly: She’s alienated everyone.”  Ouch.  Of course, Ms. Kelly’s planned morning program does not debut to September, so she hasn’t had a chance to alienate NBC’s morning viewers just yet.  But she will; oh yes, she will.

Just one more day in #fakenews media America.

That is all.

John McCain Puts the R-I-N-O in RINO

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

  • He puts the R-I-N-O in RINO.:  In news you won’t see in the fake mainstream media, the Daily Caller reports that John McCain’s foundation – which he created out of $9 million in un-spent campaign funds from his failed, half-hearted presidential run in 2008 – is taking gobs of money from the likes of George Soros, former Clinton bag-man Doug Band, and Teneo, a group that shops both Clintons around for lucrative “speaking” engagements.   McCain’s status as the Senator From the News Media insulates him from any fears that these grimy connections will be revealed to the audiences of CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, the WaPo or the NYTimes.
  • Voter fraud?  What voter fraud?:  A new report from the New Jersey-based research group Just Facts finds that as many as 5.7 million illegal votes were cast in the 2008 election that elevated Barack Obama to the presidency.  Given that Mr. Obama actively encouraged illegal aliens to vote in U.S. elections throughout his political career, this finding should come as no surprise.  The study also found that as many as 3.6 million illegal votes were cast during the 2012 presidential election, in which Mr. Obama was re-elected.  We can count on the fake mainstream news media to uniformly embargo any reporting on this study, since it reflects negatively on their idol.
  • Speaking of the fake news media, reporters covering today’s election for the House District 6 seat in Georgia whined yesterday that they were not allowed into events held by both candidates in the race.  We can file this one under Fake Media Problems No Normal Person Cares About.
  • And speaking of whining reporter problems, CNN’s Jim Acosta whined most of day on air yesterday about how mean ol’ Sean Spicer isn’t doing a televised press briefing every day, and isn’t any longer willing to answer the same question posed to him 12 times by 12 different fake reporters during the off-camera briefings he has been providing.  Mr. Acosta appears to believe that the White House is his personal playground, and that fake reporters who are nothing more than agents for the opposition party have a constitutional right to wander the halls there all day long.  Frankly, given the hyper-partisan behavior by CNN in particular, and most other fake news media outlets, I find it absurd that any of them are still allowed into the White House and presidential events at this point.  When you choose to behave like an enemy of the state, you need to be treated as an enemy of the state.
  • Tired of winning yet?  Part I:  Megyn Kelly’s much-hyped interview with conspiracy theorist radio personality Alex Jones finished a distant third in its time slot Sunday evening, behind “60 Minutes” and a re-run of “America’s Funniest Home Videos.”  At this point it is looking like Ms. Kelly might have a very bright future hosting some future TV talent show.  She’s just not cut out for her current gig, and as NBC is painfully finding out, the public just doesn’t consider her to be much of a big deal at all.
  • Tired of winning yet?  Part II:  EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt announced yesterday that he was cutting of funding for gym memberships for senior EPA officials, because the program – implemented, of course, during the Obama years – was costing the taxpayers $1 million per year.  Proving that this administration firmly believes that the only thing worse than an EPA bureaucrat is a healthy EPA bureaucrat.

Just another day in whiny, fake news media America.

That is all.

Jeff Sessions Takes Corrupt, Clueless Democrats To School

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

  • Some observations from AG Jeff Sessions’ testimony before the Senate Intelligence (pardon the oxymoron) Committee on Tuesday:
    • Sessions’ tone was perfect, his righteous indignation completely appropriate under the circumstances, his defense of his honor compelling and believable.  All in all, a great decision by him to insist on public testimony when the committee Democrats wanted to question him out of the public eye.  Given their own performances, which ranged from disingenuous (Mark Warner), to imperiously strident (Kamala Harris), to buffoonish (Ron Wyden), it’s easy to see why they wanted to do this one in private.  Too bad.
    • If California Sen. Kamala Harris is, as many claim, the Democrat Party’s “rising star”, then the Democrats have no future.  She was out of her league, and transparently dishonest.  But hey, Democrats love voting for transparently dishonest candidates, which explains why she’s a Senator now.
    • A social media scandal broke out when Sen. Harris was shut down by the Chair because her time had run out as she was repeatedly interrupting AG Sessions in order to prevent him to give a full answer to a stupid question. Fake journalists and leftist trolls tisk-tisked all over Twitter about how Republicans just love to shut down women.  Trouble with that was that it was actually ranking Democrat Mark Warner who shut Ms. Harris down, as Chairman Richard Burr had temporarily left the room.  D’oh!
    • The fake reporters at the Huffington Post actually picked up on this little nuance, and ran a story on the incident bashing not “Republicans”, but “Men” instead. Well, you know, they had to bash somebody.  It’s what they do at the HuffPo.
    • Senator from the News Media John McCain was once again utterly incoherent in his questioning, causing AG Sessions to have to ask him to repeat questions several times because they were simply not understandably put.  Maybe he should start avoiding these things, and stick with softball interviews with Chris Matthews instead.  Either that, or get some new meds.
    • Tom Cotton of Arkansas was the star of the show, humiliating the Democrats by comparing their Russia collusion fantasy to the plot of a bad spy movie.  Well, ok, the Democrats weren’t really “humiliated”, since they are so uniformly lacking in any sense of self-awareness anymore that they are long beyond any ability to feel such embarrassment.
    • In an off-hand remark, AG Sessions let it be known that his office has already begun “multiple” investigations into illegal leaking of classified information.  That information no doubt had knees shaking among myriad Obama holdovers at the FBI and various intelligence agencies, not to mention the NSC and the White House.  It also left James Comey trying to decide which third party cutout to use to leak some more self-serving stuff to the New York Times.
    • BTW, it’s a bit off-subject, but has anyone else noticed that we still have not actually seen any of Comey’s mystery “contemporaneous memos”?  Just wondering.
    • At the end of the hearing, it is very telling that the Democrats are now so utterly lacking in any support for their “collusion” or “obstruction” fantasies that all they had left to complain about after the hearing was the fact that the U.S. Attorney General would not divulge details about conversations he has had with a sitting President of the United States, a longstanding Justice Department policy that was invoked dozens of times by both Loretta Lynch and Eric Holder without a peep of protest from a single Senate Democrat.
    • The Collusion fantasy is dead – even MSNBC’s fake host Chris Matthews understands that.  The Obstruction fantasy is on life support.  Expect to see the fake news media/Democrat Party axis of nitwittery coordinating on an entirely new fantasy scandal over the next week or two.  Because it’s all they have.
  • Tired of winning yet?:  Fake news personality Megyn Kelly is bombing in her new gig over at NBC.  Her first two episodes have lost miserably against re-runs of CBS’s “60 Minutes”, with her second week’s audience falling by 36% from her first one.  And now she’s in trouble for deciding to feature an interview with conspiracy theory-promoting talk radio host Alex Jones on her third episode.  My goodness, what’s going to happen in the Fall, when “60 Minutes” starts airing new stuff?  Couldn’t happen to a nicer person.  BTW, if Megyn Kelly was a man, her snarky fake journalist colleagues would be calling her an “empty suit,”, a term they normally reserve for Scott Pelley.  But it takes too long to call her an “empty sleeveless, low-cut, short-skirted ensemble by Gucci” instead.

Just another day in collapsing media/Democrat/Megyn Kelly fantasy America.

That is all.
