Another Epic Failed Hearing for the Democrats, Another Mass Shooting

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Just a coincidence, no doubt. – So, with their corrupt media cohorts struggling to spin their disastrous first day of impeachment circus hearings to their advantage, the Democrats were desperate all Thursday morning to change the narrative. There were no bombshells in the testimony of either Bill Taylor or the dapper dandy George Kent, no revelations of anything resembling impeachable behavior by President Donald Trump, nothing for anyone in the Democrat/media/deep state Axis of Disinformation to hang their rhetorical hats on.

As a result, it was a very slow news morning for America for once. And then it all magically changed, with yet another school shooting, this time in a high school in Santa Clarita, California, where a 15 year-old male student shot at his fellow students, injuring at least six and killing at least one. In the coming days, we will no doubt be told that this “lone wolf” suffered from mental issues that required him to take multiple prescription medications. We will learn that he comes from a broken family, that he had severe discipline issues at school and multiple run-ins with law enforcement over a period of many months, and probably that he was even known to the local FBI office.

That’s the seeming script for these things that our nation knows all too well by now. Script or not, the latest mass school shooting provides Democrat politicians the opportunity to change the day’s narrative on a dime, and their corrupt media toadies the ability to quit talking about the foundering impeachment circus and shift to promoting gun control and demonizing Republicans, the NRA and any American citizen who believes in the 2nd Amendment to the Constitution.

Within two hours of news of the shooting hitting the airwaves, Kamala Harris had a new gun control ad out on her Twitter account:

That’s some fast work right there. It’s funny how this happens, isn’t it? But surely just a coincidence. Right? I mean, to believe otherwise you would have to believe the worst things imaginable about certain people in our government, wouldn’t you?

I’ve seen folks promoting conspiracy theories about this subject on social media and elsewhere in recent months, but I’ve always just dismissed it all as rank paranoia. So, I thought, let’s disprove any notion of “conspiracy” here and look at what happened the last time the Democrats had such a miserable failure in a nationally-televised congressional hearing. I didn’t have to go back very far in time to do that – just less than four months ago.

Let’s go back to July 24-25 to see the exact same sequence of events happening again. On July 24, Special Counsel Robert Mueller appeared before a joint hearing of several House committees to talk about his report which failed to nail President Trump or even provide a viable roadmap for his impeachment, its goal from the outset.

Remember how Mueller appeared frail, barely in control of his mental faculties, unable to remember the simplest details about the investigation he supposedly led and the report he supposedly authored.  Remember what an abject disaster that hearing was for the Democrat Party, so disastrous that even their most corrupt media toadies at CNN were forced to acknowledge its abject failure to advance the ball for the never-ending coup d’etat.

What happened the very next day? A mass shooting in California’s San Fernando Valley, in which a man killed four people, including his father and brother, and wounded two more at a total of four different crime scenes.

Oh.

What happened barely a week after the San Fernando shootings, as congress was getting out of town for its month-long recess, which would inevitably cause a bit of a vacuum where their favored narratives were concerned? On August 3, not one but TWO mass shootings, this time in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio. Big shootings, too – a total of 32 people killed and another 51 injured.

Every one of the 22 or so then-candidates for the Democrat nomination immediately made narratives about gun control and “white supremacy” their key campaign talking points for the entire duration of the congressional recess. The August narratives were set in stone.

Just another coincidence, no doubt. To think otherwise is, well, it’s unthinkable. Isn’t it?

Since then, it’s been very slow on the mass shooting front. Oh, you have had the usual drive-by and gang-related shootings across the country, and fights at big parties in Greenville, Texas and Long Beach, California that resulted in multiple deaths and injuries, but it’s a big country with 330 million citizens and that’s going to be an inevitable part of our societal landscape.

Now, think about what’s been happening in the media narrative space since congress got back in early September. The whole Ukraine narrative started percolating to the surface shortly after congress resumed its work to destroy the country, and that narrative has dominated the news ever since. The Democrats and their media toadies were having a field day, and they knew it.

But then they made yesterday’s strategic error, and suddenly things were getting uncomfortable.

Just like clockwork, yet another school shooting takes place, and here we go on the gun control narrative one more time.

Surely just coincidence. In fact, surely just a rather amazing string of coincidences. But amazing they have been.

Right?

That is all.

We Can’t Put Democrat Judges in Charge of Enforcing Red Flag Laws

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Oh, noes, not Stacey!!!! – Because I know all you readers have been sitting around fretting, wondering when, oh, when will the stellar, awesome, brilliant, and indeed heroic Stacey Abrams jump into this race for the Democrat Party’s presidential nomination, I am oh, so sad to report the following news: She ain’t running.

Yesterday, the insufferable loooooooooser from Georgia, in whom Democrat Party leaders invested gobs of time, energy and money, trying desperately to build her into a national thing, announced that, after long contemplation of whether or not she wanted to get into another race she would be bound to lose, she did what fellow looooooooooser Irish Bob O’Rourke didn’t have the sense to do and decided to go do something else she might actually be good at doing. (Yeah, I know that was a run-on sentence, but I sure had fun writing it.)

Instead, Ms. Abrams has decided to apply her boundless energy for whining to the endeavor she loves most: Encouraging voter fraud. Oh, yeah, I know she actually said that she’s going to lead some organization whose goal is to fight “voter suppression,” but that’s just Democrat code for making sure all the dead and illegal aliens get to vote, too.

“My job is to be the voice to those who do not believe they are heard,” Abrams told a chanting audience. Dead people do have a hard time being heard, that’s for sure.

Hey, maybe she can get Irish Bob to help her run this enterprise, but not until after he has dropped out of the presidential race, come back to Texas and lost another race for the senate against John Cornyn. Which is pretty much an inevitability at this point, now that the editorial board at the Houston Chronicle, one of his major cheerleading squads during his failed attempt to unseat Ted Cruz, has set the stage for that to happen.

These Democrats are so darn transparent once you understand how they really think.

Ok, so Chris Cuomo can’t have guns, then? – Quote yesterday from President Donald Trump: “There’s nobody more pro-Second Amendment than Donald Trump, but I don’t want guns in the hands of a lunatic or manic.”

That gets me to this proposal running around for congress to pass a “red flag law” in the wake of the mass shootings in El Paso and Dayton. All you need to know about how a red flag law would work is this sub-head from an August 6 article published about them in the Democrat Party propaganda sheet New York Times:

“Hoping to prevent more mass shootings, some states have tried empowering courts to take guns away from potentially dangerous people.”

The emphasis added there is mine, because that’s the salient point here that tells anyone whose political views are to the right of Ho Chi Minh that we simply cannot and must not have a national red flag law in the United States of America in the post- Barack Obama world. Anyone who has been paying even a modicum of attention to what has been taking place in our courts over the last 3 years knows that Obama packed the federal judiciary with hundreds of Manchurian Candidate judges who are willing to issue any decision, no matter how contrary it might be to the constitution, that will advance the leftist cause in our country.

We have had so many examples of Obama judges issuing bald-faced fraudulent decisions and getting smacked down by the Supreme Court in recent years that they are almost not even newsworthy anymore, which was exactly the plan to begin with. Leaving the determination of which citizens might be a danger to others should they obtain a firearm up to these particular judges is simply a recipe for willy-nilly gun confiscation anytime some leftwing activist group wants them confiscated. We’d ultimately end up in a situation in which you could have your guns taken away if you get suspended on Facebook or post a Tweet that some pimple-faced slob out in Silicon Valley working as a Twitter monitor finds objectionable.

Some of you might still, after all this time and all of these anti-Constitutional judicial decisions think I’m being ridiculous, and that’s fine. But take a look at the campaign the Democrats and their media toadies have been pushing since those latest mass shootings, which is to convince the American public not only that the President of the United States is a “white supremacist” – and thus, a danger to society – but anyone who supports him is also a “white supremacist.”

This is not me being an alarmist – this is all utterly transparent and predictable.

The other thing to remember is that, sooner or later, the Democrats are going to elect another president of their own, and that someone will look and sound a lot like one of those nutcases you have seen on your TV screen for the last six months. Do you really want to put a federal law on the books that would allow one of those lunatics and the fellow lunatics they would appoint to have discretion over who should and should not be able to arm and defend themselves in this society?

Sorry, no. Hard, hard pass.

That is all.

The Mass Shootings Will Continue Because We Refuse to Deal With the Real Cause

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

This is the cancer the political left represents in our country. – After another tragic mass shooting took place in El Paso early Saturday afternoon, Jim Hoft at Gateway Pundit reports that leftwing activists discovered the shooter had a profile page on “MyLife.com” on which he listed himself as a “registered Democrat.” Within an hour after the shooting had made the news, these activists had gone into his page and changed pretty much every element of his profile, including his party affiliation to “Republican.”

The new profile also now says he was a disciple of “Qanon,” “INCEL” and a conspiracy theorist, which of course conveniently matches him right up with the profile we learned this week that the FBI is now trying to have defined as a potential domestic terrorist. The same activists for some reason initially changed his ethnicity from “Caucasian” to “African American,” and then later went back in one more time to correct that idiotic error.

Folks, this kind of craven activity is a sickness, every bit the mental illness that the shooter was obviously suffering from. Luckily, these activists were caught in the act, but you can still be sure that talking heads on CNN and MSNBC will use the fraudulent profile page they created to claim the shooter was a Republican who was motivated to commit his heinous act by President Trump. Because those talking heads are also mentally deranged people who will do and say anything for political gain.

The politicians the activists support are, if anything, even worse. Within minutes of the shootings going public, pretty much every candidate for the Democrat presidential nomination had issued near-identical tweets ignoring the shooter’s obvious mental illness and claiming gun control was the only “solution” to the issue of mass shoootings. The most craven opportunist among them was failed South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, who issued this despicable tweet:

But the sickness isn’t limited to the presidential candidates, oh, no. At a joint press conference held late in the afternoon, El Paso congresswoman Veronica Escobar made faces and shook her head repeatedly behind Governor Gregg Abbott’s back as he pointed to the real problem: Mental illness and the de-institutionalization of the dangerously mentally ill that took place during the 1960s and 1970s. When a member of the press saw Escobar’s antics and directed a question to her, she offered a non-answer in which she pontificated about guns and then promised that she and her Democrat colleagues would issue a “strong statement” later in the evening.

Democrats are now incapable of even presenting a united front in the face of mass tragedy, because their narrative does not allow them to do so. That’s a sickness. That is a mental illness.

This mental illness of protecting the narrative now even extends to local law enforcement. Because the El Paso shooter is a white male who meekly surrendered and who conveniently has his own “manifesto” that was somehow immediately released to the press, his identity was revealed to the public within moments of the shootings.

Late last night, another gunman used a high-power rifle to shoot up a bar in Dayton, Ohio. He apparently doesn’t have a ready-made “manifesto” or an easily-faked “MyLife” page, and probably also isn’t a white male since, as of this writing fully 8 hours after he committed his atrocity, local law enforcement officials are completely mum on any details of his identity.

When the facts don’t fit the narrative, it takes a little more time to get the story and talking points together, right? Right.

This is a sickness. It is a mental illness brought to us by the radical political left. And it, more than any other factor, is why our society is continuing to progress inexorably down the sad, tragic road to a second civil war.

The truth about this 21 year-old El Paso shooter is that, at some point during his early teens (if his “manifesto” is to be believed) he developed a sick, irrational hatred of Hispanics. On Saturday, he acted on that hatred, driving 650 miles from his upper-middle-class home in Allen, Texas to El Paso to carry out his demented mission.

The seeds of this act will not be found in politics – his “manifesto” clearly lays out his radical progressive political views, including his advocacy of pet leftist policies like universal healthcare and universal income – but in mental illness. As the days go on we will no doubt find out that he had serious issues in school, most likely was identified as a problem by his teachers and school officials, and had trouble socializing with other students. We will also almost certainly find out that local law enforcement in Allen was aware of his issues. But no one was able to take any real action to get him the proper care he really needed because of idiotic policies forced on our schools and law enforcement officials by the federal government.

In other words, it will be the same story we have seen so many times before, from places like Parkland and Columbine and Sandy Hook and on and on and on. At this point, this is all so predictable – it’s the same story over and over again.

But because of our national political sickness, we are never allowed to deal with the real problem at hand, because the real problem at hand does not fit the narrative that leftist politicians and their baggage-carriers in our fake news media prefer. That narrative mandates that guns – the inanimate objects involved – are the problem and the only problem that needs to be addressed.

So long as that narrative dominates in our society, these mass shootings will continue. It really is that simple.

That is all.
