Marco Rubio Flexes his DC Swamp Muscle

As if we needed another example of Senate Republican mendacity, we got one yesterday. – The Washington Examiner reported Monday that Marco Rubio, Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI), is refusing to share information from the SSCI’s “Russia Collusion” investigation with his fellow committee chairmen.

Ron Johnson, Chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, and Chuck Grassley, who will re-take the chairmanship of the Senate Judiciary Committee in January from the worthless Lindsey Graham, had requested via a letter to Rubio and SSCI ranking Democrat Mark Warner that SSCI share some of its records with their committees in order to further their investigations into Spygate/Obamagate. Yesterday, Rubio and Warner rejected that request in a letter of their own.

From the Washington Examiner story:

The Republican and Democratic leaders on the Senate Intelligence Committee rejected a broad request from two Republican Senate leaders seeking access to the panel’s records to assist in their investigation into the Trump-Russia investigators.

Acting Chairman Marco Rubio of Florida and Vice Chairman Mark Warner of Virginia rejected a late August letter from Senate Homeland Security Chairman Ron Johnson of Wisconsin and Senate Finance Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley of Iowa, who said that they “respect the authority” of the Senate Intelligence Committee to protect its interests, adding that “ultimately, we have the right as United States Senators” to access the records.

“We note that your request of the Committee is made pursuant to Senate Rule 26, but fails to account for the unique authorities and obligations invested in this Committee through Senate Resolution 400 and respected over decades of Senate and Committee practice,” Rubio and Warner responded. “Accordingly, we must reject the absolutist interpretation of Rule 26 that you propose. If this Committee elects to share materials that it has collected and generated in the course of its investigation into Russia’s efforts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election, it will do so pursuant to these long-standing Committee rules, and specifically, the joint agreement of the Chairman and the Vice Chairman.”

Rubio and Warner added: “Independent of whether that agreement is forthcoming, our position on this matter obviously does not preclude you from pursuing your own investigation, using your own authorities, as you see fit, within the confines of your committees’ jurisdictions.”

[End]

So, here we have the spectacle of one Senate committee refusing to share information with another Senate committee, and a Republican committee chairman allowing his authority to be subsumed by the ranking member of the minority party. Why doesn’t Mitch McConnell just formally name Warner the SSCI chairman since he is obviously functioning in that role?

To be clear, Senate Rule 26 requires committees to cross-share information with other committees when such requests are made, but Rubio is allowing Warner to claim that SSCI-adopted “rules” – specifically a deal made between Warner and insider-trading cheat/ex-SSCI Chairman Richard Burr – supersede a rule adopted by the full Senate.

What is really happening here is that the SSCI in general, and Warner/Burr/Rubio specifically were active participants in the Deep State coup d’etat effort led by the DOJ/FBI cabal from late 2016 through early 2019. These senators inevitably created a paper trail of their mendacity during that time frame, some of which would inevitably make its way into the documentation of their committee’s fake investigation. SSCI’s “investigation” was really nothing but an effort to provide cover for the Mueller Special Counsel criminal operation and the seditious actions of Rod Rosenstein and James Comey.

SSCI is an utterly corrupt operation whose real goal is to protect Senate interests in the graft factory that is the DC Swamp, and the profits it generates to Senators of both parties. Which is why its Republican and Democrat members were so carefully selected by Mitch McConnell and Chuck Schumer.

This refusal by Rubio and Warner to share key information with their colleagues is just a part of the protective role the SSCI plays for Senators of both parties.

It is the very definition of DC Swamp kabuki theater.

That is all.

Richard Burr’s Betrayal and Stupidity Comes Back to Haunt Him

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II

As Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee over the past three years, North Carolina RINO Senator Richard Burr coordinated efforts with the ranking minority member, Virginia Sen. Mark Warner, to run interference for the coup cabal’s efforts within the DOJ and FBI to take down the duly-elected President, Donald Trump. Today, he might be regretting his seditious actions.

Last night, Burr was repaid for his troubles by the FBI with a raid on his home in a search for evidence related to allegations that he traded a huge amount of stocks in February based on insider information about the extent of the Wuhan Virus problem in the U.S. Burr was also forced to turn over his telephone in the process of the FBI raid.

From a report in today’s Daily Caller:

The FBI seized Republican North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr’s cell phone Wednesday night after serving a search warrant as part of an investigation into whether the Republican made illegal stock trades based on insider information about the coronavirus pandemic, a law enforcement official told The Los Angeles Times.

The Times reported that FBI agents served the warrant on Burr at his home in the Washington, D.C. area. Burr turned over his phone to investigators, according to the newspaper.

At the time Burr’s stock trades became public news, he gave the lame excuse that he made the trades himself based on having watched a show on CNBC. At the same time, trades made by Republican Sen. Kelly Loeffler and Democrat Sen. from China Dianne Feinstein also became public, but those two senators had had the foresight to place their stockholdings in a blind trust, and thus had third party brokers handling their stock transactions.

So, Burr is being singled out here, but for once there doesn’t seem to be any partisan motivation behind it. He’s just not very bright.

Other than what little support he might receive from his many fellow RINOs in the Senate, Burr will find himself a man alone in this fight. Given that RINOs are as a class the most cowardly bunch of hacks in Washington, he probably won’t receive any support from his “friends,” either.

One thing is certain: Few if any supporters of President Trump will waste even a minute of time worrying about his well-being. Florida Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz, a stauch Trump supporter, made this clear in an interview with Tucker Carlson, during which he said this:

“Richard Burr is a disgrace. He should be removed as the intelligence chairman immediately as a result of this conduct and as Republicans in the Trump era, we have an obligation to say we do not want corrupt acts to be associated with our tribe,” Gaetz insisted.

“And Republicans need to start stepping up and speaking out because what Richard Burr did in the Senate stock sell-off is not something that we want our brand associated with.”

Exactly.

That is all.

Democrats Spend the Ratcliffe Hearing Protecting the Chinese Government

The Mid-Day Campaign Update

If you watched Tuesday morning’s Senate Intelligence Committee confirmation hearing for Trump DNI nominee John Ratcliffe, you witnessed an entire political party that is apparently bought and paid for by the Chinese government. Those watching the livestream on Youtube were not able to see which senator was doing the questioning, but committee Chair Richard Burr identified each of them when they were called on.

Several Republicans on the committee questioned the nominee about his concerns related to the ChiCom government and the fact that its’ dishonesty related to COVID-19 literally caused a global pandemic that has now killed hundreds of thousands of people around the world. Democrats, on the other hand, focused their questioning on … you guessed it … Russia! Because of course they did.

Any time Ratcliffe expressed his real concerns about China and its increasingly hostile posture towards our country, the Democrat doing the questioning would immediately attempt to change the subject by saying something along the lines of ‘but what about Russia?’ Clearly, the Democrat talking points memo cautions against uttering a negative word about the ChiComs.

This is despicable and dangerous for our country. We have one of our two major parties – which controls a majority in one house of congress – that literally refuses to recognize the myriad challenges that a country with 1.4 billion people poses to freedom and peace not just to the United States, but all around the globe. Not only do Democrats refuse to verbalize any concerns related to China, they and their corrupt toadies in the media aggressively smear and demonize anyone who does.

They literally appear to be actively working on behalf of the ChiCom government.

Ratcliffe, of course, knew that reality going in, having spent the last decade of his life dealing with disloyal Democrat sleazebags like Adam Schiff and Gerrold Nadler. But still, the tenor and tone of the questioning in this hearing had to be a bit of an eye-opener for him in regards to just how much control the ChiComs and their lobbyists in the U.S. exert over the entire Democrat Senate caucus.

Other highlights of the hearing included:

– Ratcliffe being asked by every Democrat whether he would lie about intelligence matters to protect the President.

– The spectacle of the senator most deeply embedded within the Deep State – Virginia Democrat Mark Warner – giving a 3-minute soliloquy about how there is no such thing as the Deep State.

– Democrat Sen. Michael Bennet and other Democrats repeatedly asking Ratcliffe if he thinks the intelligence community has run amok, as if that were some big secret at this point in history, given all the recent document releases proving that it in fact has done that.

– Kamala Harris, who has done literally nothing in response to the Wuhan Virus, asking Ratcliffe if he thought President Trump took the virus “too lightly.” After Ratcliffe answered that no, he didn’t, Harris proceeded to read an article from the Washington Post. You just can’t make this stuff up.

– One Democrat – I didn’t catch which one it was – asked Ratcliffe who he agreed with about waterboarding, President Trump or John McCain. Holy crap. Ratcliffe of course stated that he would follow the law.

These people are garbage human beings, plain and simple.

Ratcliffe will be confirmed reluctantly by this corrupt committee on a party line vote in the coming days, because the members know that their only alternative at this point would be for Ric Grenell to continue in the post for another year. Grenell has made it clear that he has no fear of this committee, and no reluctance to aggressively go after the bad actors this committee still seeks to protect.

They’ve obviously decided that Ratcliffe would be easier to deal with and control. Given Ratcliffe’s history, I suspect they are about to be disappointed in that belief.

That is all.

How Abusive Gubernatorial Edicts Created a True Grassroots Protest Movement

Guest Piece by Gregg Updike

Here is a little history on the success of genuine grassroots movements and citizen led protest rallies:

In 1990, New Jersey had a dictatorial governor named Jim Florio. There were two major protests held in Trenton New Jersey that summer by a true grassroots group called “Hands Across New Jersey” (HANJ). It was a protest against Florio’s 2.8 Billion tax Increase which included everything including, ironically, toilet paper (people were actually mailing used TP to his office in protest). HANJ was also protesting Florio’s “assault weapons” ban, which effectively made criminals of about 700,000 New Jerseyans overnight.

The law did not ‘grandfather’ current legal owners, and demanded the heretofore legally purchased guns were to be surrendered to the state without compensation. Since NJ required that all guns be registered, the NJ Gestapo knew who bought/possessed the guns and threats were made, but not carried out, against the 690,984 who failed to abide by the law. Many guns were temporarily “stored” in Pennsylvania. “Florio Free In ’93” was the rally cry.

HANJ was NJ’s precursor to the 2010 Taxed Enough Already Party (TEA Party) movement. It was ridiculed by the press, and ignored by the media and the politicians, but Florio overwhelmingly lost his (D) legislature a year later, and then his race in 1993 narrowly to a relative unknown. That heretofore unknown had glommed on to the HANJ movement and ran against a very popular Senator Bill Bradley in 1990. Since no state races were up in 1990, Bradley was targeted by the movement even though he was a federal senator not directly responsible for Florio’s dictatorship.

New Jersey’s Senator Bill Bradley of 1990 is Virginia’s Senator Mark Warner of 2020. Bradley’s challenger was Christine Todd-Whitman, a little known county freeholder who very nearly upset Bradley (Bradley was so shaken he chose not to run again in 1996). Bradley’s narrow two point win in 1990, and Florio’s loss of the legislature in 1991 should have been wake-up calls, but they and the people were arrogantly ignored. In 1993, Florio became a rare one-term governor. Sadly Whitman – now 73 and last I heard was a “moderate RINO” pro-choice operative working out of, ironically, Michigan – was a massive disappointment to conservatives.

The sad fact is, it is very hard for large truly grassroots rallies to occur, unlike the left’s well funded and organized (by whom?) phony rent-a-mob rallies where the professional malcontents and paid protesters (most of whom are otherwise unemployed) are able to spring up overnight and often with violence, invariably ending up trashing the place with all kinds of garbage. The real reason why there are so few conservative counter protests is because most conservatives work full time for a living, are generally not very political, and don’t have the time to engage in constant protests and rallies.

Well, not now! Thanks to the virus ‘pandemic’ and the unconstitutional edicts by dictatorial governors and mayors, we/they now have much free time to exercise our right to peaceful assembly and protest.

To some degree, we/they are lazy, and to some extent, we/they are cowed by the media and its coverage – but not any more – a sleeping giant has been awakened and the governors will find they won’t be able to shove the toothpaste back into the tube. For an example on how we were ridiculed by the media: James Carville, AKA “the Ragin’ Cajun” who served as campaign manager for both BJ Clinton and Florio, was also a TV Talking Head; he called us “Teabaggers”. If any conservative commentator on FOX ridiculed the left’s protesters like NOW, in such a derogatory way, he/she would have been Schiff-canned in a heartbeat.

The bottom line: These dictatorial governors can threaten and ignore us protestors all they want; the media can mock and downplay our rallies all it wants, but once you get ordinary working law abiding citizens aggravated enough to come together in a real genuine grassroots protest movement against a specific politician or political party, they are toast. Ask Florio, ask the thirty five or so NJ Democratic legislators (they lost half of their members in the 1991 election), ask Pelosi how she fared in 2010 after her Obamacare bill spawned the TEA Party.

So, go ahead you leftist tin-pot dictators, keep up this economic crippling of your state in your attempt to hobble the US economy and beat Trump in six months; continue to keep your subjects needlessly suffering to further you and your master’s agenda; ignore real grassroot protests, and continue to mock and ignore the soon-to-resume Trump rallies, and you will pay the price when most of your elections come up in 2021 and 2022. You may feel safe from voter retribution because most of you are not up this year, but the people attending these rallies and tens of millions of like-minded people who are not actually participating will have long memories and will remember come your November election.

Years ago, a marketing study showed that every real letter written to an editor of a newspaper, or every real complaint letter written to a corporation or politician, represents the thoughts and feelings of about 5,000 people. I have to believe the same holds true for protesters at these state rallies and at the past and future Trump rallies.

Relent now or Repent later!

That is all.

Coming Soon: The Deep State Smear of Ric Grenell

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

President Donald Trump (I still never tire of typing those three glorious words) loves to make history. He’s really good at it – better than anyone, in fact.

Last night, the President decided to make another piece of history that all of his predecessors in office, from the most conservative Republican to the most leftist Democrat, have taken a pass on doing:

Thus, Ambassador Grenell will become the first openly gay man to serve in a cabinet position. Ever.

Now, that’s not why Grenell was chosen for this job – the President picks his people based on their skills and qualifications, not on their identities in some minority group or another. Mr. Grenell is completely qualified for this post and would no doubt perform extremely well in it.

But isn’t it interesting that, for all of his lip service towards supporting the priorities of the LGBTQ community, and all of his open efforts to select a cabinet that, in his words, “looks like America,” Barack Hussein Obama his own self took a complete pass for 8 long years on setting this bit of history? Obama didn’t do it because he’s a standard politician whose every move is dictated by polling and focus group data, and he feared making this particular move might cause his public approval rating to tick down a point or two.

Trump is doing it because, well, he’s Trump, and because, in his judgment, Grenell is the best person available for the job.

But Grenell had better be girded for a fight, because, in order to become the permanent Director of National Intelligence (DNI), he must be confirmed by the Senate. And being confirmed by the Senate means that he must first obtain a majority vote in the Senate Committee on Intelligence (SCI), which has proven itself over the last 3 years to be a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Deep State.

From GOP Chairman Richard Burr to Democrat ranking member Mark Warner, and all up and down its roster, this committee is filled to the gills with Deep State hacks who are intent on keeping the DNI position in full possession of the professional Administrative State. That transparent goal is why the members of the SCI overtly killed President Trump’s nomination of Texas GOP congressman John Ratcliffe to fill the post last summer, precisely because Ratcliffe is viewed as an independent actor who is actually supportive of the President’s policies and goals.

Now, we have just gone through several months of Democrats, RINOs and the corrupt news media telling us that professionals in America’s diplomatic corps are all superheroes who simply must be honored, respected and perhaps even worshiped for their service. These people have been portrayed as beyond reproach, and certainly beyond criticism from mere mortals.

Yeah, you won’t be hearing any similar rhetoric about Mr. Grenell. What we will no doubt suddenly hear instead is how someone who has spent years in two major posts at the State Department just doesn’t possess the judgment or mysterious skills needed to run the Intelligence Community (IC). And it won’t just be Grenell’s qualifications that will be assaulted here: While RINOs like Burr and others sitting on the SCI will focus on that area, the media and Democrats will go after his character as well, exactly as they are in the process of doing with Attorney General William Barr.

This is how the card-carrying members of the Deep State attack anyone they perceive to be a threat. Make no mistake about this: Getting a true Trump loyalist into the DNI job would represent a clear and present danger to the Deep State’s continued existence.

That’s because it was the IC under Barack Obama that organized the illegal spying efforts on the Trump Campaign in 2015-16, and led the effort to fix that election. All the deep, dirty secrets remaining related to those operations and so many others are buried deep within the bowels of the IC.

So, we’re about to see a war over Grenell’s appointment starting today. If President Trump wants him to fill the position for more than the 180 days in which he can serve as Acting DNI, it’s going to take all of his influence and the influence of Mitch McConnell as well to make it happen.

Making temporary history is fairly easy for a President, like Trump, who is unafraid of the media and the polls. Making that history permanent, though, is going to become a vicious fight.

That is all.

Only an Incredibly Shallow Society Could Produce this Impeachment Scam

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

The assisted living senators are not dealing well with these long hours. – The U.S. Senate has, more than at any other time in its history, become a home for elderly citizens during the 21st Century. This is in large part due to the fact that it has also more and more become a place to accumulate massive amounts of wealth at the expense of the U.S. taxpayer in recent decades. No one wants to voluntarily leave the gig when there’s always so much more wealth to be grafted.

Thus, this ongoing Kabuki dance of an impeachment trial takes place in what is basically an incredibly wealthy assisted living center. It is becoming increasingly obvious that the long days and late nights are already beginning to take a toll as the silliness enters its third day today. California’s 86 year-old Senator Dianne Feinstein decided she’d had enough of the nonsense as Bug-eyed Adam Schiff droned on late last night, and just got up and left a full hour before the Senate was adjourned:

Virginia Senator Mark Warner, kind of a Senate kindergartener at age 66, was reported to have fallen asleep during Schiff’s lie-filled monologue:

Image

Senate Minority leader Chuck Schumer – a veritable spring chicken of the Democrat caucus at age 69 – has begun exhibiting clear signs of not being all there mentally. Watch as he shooos an imaginary person out of his chair as he returns from a bathroom break:

Seriously, you can’t make this stuff up. Think about this: These are the people who are governing this country right now. Frightening.

But hey, even though the Senators were having a hard time holding their eyes open or avoiding twice-hourly potty breaks during Schiff’s hours of bleating, the guy who bills himself on Twitter as a “national security correspondent” for the Washington Post developed a clear man crush on ol’ Bugeyes:

Can’t wait to hear Greg Miller’s true feelings about Jabba the Nadler or Patrick Leahy. Maybe Netflix will turn the “national security correspondent’s” diary into a 10-episode mini-series.

Of course, the subject matter being considered in this impeachment scam is so utterly and moronically trivial that it’s no wonder the Senators can’t keep their eyes open or hold their bowels. My wife and I are spending this week on a cruise ship filled with people from all over the world, and all I have been able to think about as we have interacted with folks from various other nations is how picayunish this absurd spectacle truly is.

For example, in chatting with our waiter last night, we learned he is a Kurd. He put on a happy face because he is really good at his job, but think about what someone who spends 10 of his 12 months each year working night and day on a gigantic ship and worrying about what might be happening to his family back home must think about how utterly superficial American politics have become.

Before dinner, we spent time in a bar talking with a wonderful group of citizens of Trinidad and Tobago. We talked about current events in their country, which is really struggling economically right now, as well as the collapse of Venezuela and the massive recent oil discoveries off the coasts of nearby Suriname and Guyana, which they are all hoping might positively impact their own island nation.

On this cruise, we have met people from France, where the massive “yellow vest” protests have now been ongoing for 55 weeks, and largely ignored by the U.S. news media. There are similar protest movements taking place all over Europe and South America and Asia right now, and the “national security correspondent” for the WaPo is Tweeting out his love for a pathological liar who has had our own politics tied up hyper-analyzing an innocuous 20-minute phone call that happened 7 months ago.

On this cruise, we have met people from Russia and Croatia and the Phillipines and Hong Kong, all places in the throes of real human struggles of paramount importance, and our corrupt news media is focused on providing maximum exposure for an impeachment that’s like an episode of “Seinfeld,” a show about nothing.

Miller’s right about one thing: Schiff’s conduct of this impeachment scam will indeed leave a mark on history. That mark will be in the form of an indelible black ink stain on our nation’s legacy that can never be gotten out.

What an incredibly shallow society we have become.

That is all.

Bombshell: Dan Coats Out, John Ratcliffe In At ODNI

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

This is a big, big deal:

Congressman Ratcliffe can now expect to be demonized by the Democrats and their toadies in the fake news media because, well, that’s what they do. But Ratcliffe, a former U.S. attorney who is in his third term in congress, is well-qualified for the job and any of the 53 Senate Republicans who oppose his nomination will do so at their own political risk.

The departure of Coats, a long-time establishment Republican DC Swamp rat, has long been considered to be crucial to the process of declassification of key documents necessary to get at the truth of what really took place within the Obama DOJ/FBI/CIA/State Department during the runup to the 2016 elections. Coats has long been an impediment to that process, and you can tell the character of a man by looking at who his friends are.

For example, here is what ex-FBI Director and current National Teenage Drama Queen James Comey had to say upon learning of Coats’s “resignation”:

Then there is Democrat Senator Mark Warner of Virginia, who got caught in the fall of 2017 soliciting damaging information from Russians in a recorded phone call, and has spent the last two years doing his best to cover up for Comey, John Brennan, et al:

There will no doubt be much more high praise for Coats from the four murky corners of the DC Swamp today, but you get the picture.

Here is why getting Coats out of his position is so key to declassification: the Office of the Director of National Intelligence has the final say on what documents will and will not be declassified and released for public viewing. Signoff from the DNI is the last step in the process, and the presence of Dan Coats in that job is one of the main reasons why the process has been held up thus far.

The function of the ODNI is to coordinate efforts between the nation’s alphabet soup of intelligence and law enforcement agencies. The directors of all of those various agencies all have the opportunity to object to the declassification of any document that is somehow relevant to their operations. Any director who does so must justify their objection to the DNI. If the DNI agrees with the justification, it then becomes his job to communicate the decision to the President.

Rumors have long circulated that Coats has essentially served as a rubber stamp for the worthless FBI Director Christopher Wray and any other agency director who has wanted to hold up the process.

Thus, the firing of Coats – and make no mistake about it, this was a firing – was essential to the ultimate success of getting the truth out to the public. Wray still remains, but he can now be neutered by an effective and honest DNI.

So, you should expect an absolute war over the nomination of Ratcliffe, because the Democrats and their media toadies are unalterably opposed to the public getting the truth about the Obama-era illegalities. Sadly, you will no doubt see some Senate Republicans take a similar stance. If the Swamp can get to four of them, Ratcliffe’s nomination could be torpedoed.

The good news is that Ratcliffe and the President must have been assured by Mitch McConnell that the votes to confirm him are there; Otherwise, he would not have accepted the nomination.

Let’s hope so. The success of this nomination is vital to the entire process.

That is all.

End of Week Summation: Trump Just Keeps on Winning

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Some Friday odds and ends. – Michael Barthel at the Pew Research Center has a very telling piece up this week about the state of the media in America, by the numbers. Key findings include the fact that total newspaper circulation fell in 2018 to its lowest point since 1940, down about 9% from 2017. Ad revenue was off by a whopping 13% year over year. I can’t think of a more deserving industry – led as it is by the news-faking New York Times and Washington Post – to suffer such a fate.

Tired of all this #WINNING yet? – It’s buried waaaaaayyyyyy down in the bowels of the report, but the IMF this week upgraded its 2019 economic growth forecast for the U.S. economy from 2.3% to 2.6%. For 2020, the IMF forecasts a U.S. GDP growth rate of 1.9%. It’s important to remember that the IMF has made a habit of underestimating U.S. growth rates in recent years.  Gosh, wonder why?

No collusion, yet again. – The Senate Intelligence Committee, chaired by RINO Richard Burr of North Carolina, issued a report on its long-overdue investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 elections yesterday, and guess what it found? No collusion.

The report of course alleges that the Russians attempted to interfere in the 2016 elections in a variety of ways – something they have done in every U.S. election cycle since 1920 – and notes that the Obama DHS was ineffectual in doing anything about it:

While the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and FBI warned states about cyber attacks in the summer and fall of 2016, their warnings “did not provide enough information or go to the right people,” the report said.

But, despite thousands of fake media reports to the contrary, the report, in its very next paragraph, notes that the Trump Administration has made significant strides in dealing with the issue:

Since then, the government’s actions have “evolved significantly,” the committee determined, noting DHS had made “great strides” in educating and providing assistance to state and local election officials.

The progress made by DHS and election officials, “is a testament to what we can accomplish when we give people the opportunity to be part of a solution,” Republican Sen. Richard Burr of North Carolina, the committee’s chairman, said in a statement. “There is still much work that remains to be done, however.”

Man, it had to be hard for Burr to utter those words, after all the toadying he has done for ranking Democrat Mark Warner throughout the course of this ridiculous investigation.

President Trump is such a threat to our nation’s security that we will now spend the next six weeks going on lavish junkets at taxpayer expense. – Barely 24 hours after having spent all day Wednesday claiming that President Donald Trump is an existential threat to our nation’s security and that they would never, never, never, ever take a moment’s rest until he is removed from office, House Democrats led by Nancy Pelosi adjourned their chamber for a six-week-long vacation.

I swear I don’t make this stuff up.

If a congressional hearing is held and nobody’s watching, does it really make a sound? – But hey, it turns out it didn’t much matter since so few Americans were actually watching Wednesday’s festivities. All combined, the audiences for the coverage of the Mueller hearing on ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, MSNBC, Fox News and C-Span totaled just 13 million people. That’s slightly less than 4% of the U.S. population, folks.

At the end of the day, the vaunted Mueller Investigation, which Democrats and their myriad toadies in the national news media assured you all for two solid years would bring down a duly-elected President of the United States of America, went out not with a bang, but with a doddering, stammering, bumbling whimper.

Regardless of what the Democrat/media propaganda complex attempts to do next, from this point forward, the President and the Department of Justice will be playing offense in this fight to save the country.

See? There really still is justice in America.

That is all.

Why Ed Markey is Desperate to Avoid Voting on His “Green New Deal”

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Oh. Why, nobody could’ve seen that coming. Oh, wait… – Useless North Carolina RINO Senator Richard Burr told the leering press yesterday that the incredibly mis-named Senate Intelligence Committee has found no evidence of “collusion” with Russia by the Trump Campaign, Trump Transition Team or Trump Administration. Go figure.

Like American Gestapo Chief, er, “Special Counsel” Robert Mueller, Senate Intel is winding down its fake investigation because there is no “there” there – never was, isn’t now, and never will be. Democrats and fake journalists who really bought into this fantasy play expressed their shock and dismay, but Burr and his partner in this fake investigation – Virginia Democrat Senator Mark Warner – are finally giving up the ghost and directing their committee to move onto greener pastures.

Hey, here’s an idea – maybe y’all can go back to doing your actual job and start exercising a little congressional oversight over the nation’s still-corrupt “intelligence” community. What a novel concept.

Sen. Ed Markey wants to “sponsor” the incredibly destructive “Green New Deal”… – but he just doesn’t want to “vote” for the incredibly destructive “Green New Deal.” That was the message sent out by the despicable Democrat from Massachusetts on Tuesday after Mitch McConnell told the press he is making plans to hold a vote on the hilariously inept congressional resolution that Alexandria Ocasio Cortez rolled out into the public domain last week.

“I’ve noted with great interest the Green New Deal,” McConnell said, “And we’re going to be voting on that in the Senate. Give everybody an opportunity to go on record and see how they feel about the Green New Deal.” In other words, the Senate Majority Leader wants to get every Democrat member in that body on the record supporting things like destroying the miracle of air flight, destroying the nation’s thriving oil and gas industry, making cars too expensive for all but the wealthy to afford and throwing the United States quickly into an economic depression that would make the 1930s look like a walk in the park.

Sen. Markey wants none of that voting nonsense. He wants to be able to keep up his 30-year practice of being a rank demagogue on the “Global Warming” issue without actually having votes in favor of the invariably-Socialist/fascist “solutions” proposed by the fake “green” community dirtying up his record.

Thus it was that, shortly after McConnell made his promise to hold a vote, Markey issued this response that reeks of desperation:

“Don’t let Mitch McConnell fool you: this is nothing but an attempt to sabotage the movement we are building. He wants to silence your voice so Republicans don’t have to explain why they are climate change deniers. McConnell wants this to be the end, this is just the beginning.”

Yeah, it’s a “beginning” all right – Markey may or may not realize it just yet, but the roll-out of this creepy proposal to turn our country into just another starving, third-world socialist/fascist failed state is indeed the beginning of the end of the Democrat Party’s quest to regain the levers of power in Washington. Democrats have only managed to win elections over the past half-century by lying about their real beliefs and intentions. The Green New Deal removes that mask for all to see, and it is an incredibly ugly face that most Americans will never support.

So, in case you’re wondering, that is why Markey and other senate Democrats will do everything they can to avoid casting a vote on AOC’s incredibly destructive proposal.

Hey, maybe this is another reason… – You don’t have to believe me or any other conservative voice on how awful the Green New Deal really is – you could listen to the founder of the far-left eco-terrorist group “GreenPeace” if you want.

Patrick Moore, in an interview with the New American, basically characterized Markey’s proposal as a global suicide pact:  “It is quite amazing that someone that is in government — actually elected to the government of the United States of America — would propose that we eliminate all fossil fuels in 12 years,” he said in an on-camera interview with The New American from Canada. “This would basically result, if we did it on a global level, it would result in the decimation of the human population from 7-odd billion down to who knows how few people.”

Oh. Well, gosh, maybe it isn’t such a great idea, then.

Hold the vote, Mitch. Put these soulless ghouls on the record for posterity.

That is all.
