Sunday News Roundup: Tulsa Rally, Chop Murder, Barr-Berman Battle and Bad Lindsey Graham

Happy Father’s Day, y’all! – It wasn’t an entirely happy Father’s Day eve for President Donald Trump in Tulsa yesterday.  After all of the buildup and the hype about have a million requests for tickets, it appeared that no more than 15-20,000 people congregated in downtown Tulsa on Saturday, with only about 10,000 able to ultimately make their way into the BOK Center by 7:00 ET, when the doors were closed as the event began.

The massive COVID-19 fear porn campaign mounted by the corrupt news media obviously had its intended effect to diminish the turnout. Once the entries to the area opened, the combination of having to test everyone’s temperature and screen them through security, along with a group of Antifa/BLM thugs who forced the closing of one of the entry points, made the process too slow to get everyone inside to fill the arena.

None of that impacted the President’s mood once he took the stage, though. He was as animated as ever, and held the crowd’s rapt attention for 2 solid hours, like Paul McCartney does on is concert tours. But the media reports won’t focus on that – they’ll focus exclusively on the turnout, because that is what they do.

And they certainly will never show you this photo of the campaign “rally” held by Creepy Uncle Quid Pro Farty China Joe Biden earlier on Saturday:

Seriously, he’s better off in the basement.

One more note about Tulsa. – The city and state governments, led by Republicans, did their jobs of keeping their streets peaceful and safe both for the attendees and for the public at-large. It was a stark contrast to the refusal of Democrat mayors and governors to do their respective duties in places like Minneapolis, New York, Portland, Atlanta and Chicago in recent weeks.

That of course is another aspect of Saturday’s events you will not see any corrupt news outlet report on today.

In other news… – In one of many interesting parts of the President’s speech, he talked about Seattle’s CHOP, or as the town’s nitwit Mayor calls it, “The Summer of Love.” That lovefest produced a murder Friday night in which one person was shot and killed and another lies in critical condition in a local hospital. When police attempted to enter the “cop-free zone” to investigate, they were met with a roadblock of violent thugs.

Sara Jean Green | The Seattle Times

In his speech, the President said that he has repeatedly offered to bring in the National Guard and clear the place out, but the leftist mayor has refused to do anything. From a report at Breitbart:

“I have an offer out. I said any time you want, we will come in and straighten it out in one hour or less,” Trump said at his rally.

“Now I may be wrong, but it’s probably better for us to just watch that disaster. Let it simmer for a while. Let them see what radical left Democrats will do to our country.”

[End]

From a strategic political standpoint, that’s probably right. But from the standpoint of ensuring that all Americans – including those Americans who live and own businesses inside the CHOP – have their constitutional rights protected, it is not.

When they are sworn into office, elected members of city and state governments swear they will do their duty to ensure those rights are protected. The city and state governments in Seattle and Washington have abandoned that duty. While the system of federalism obligates the President to afford those lower officials every opportunity to do their jobs, at some point he has a similar obligation to act.

In addition to the illegal seizure of property, we’ve already had one murder and reports by the Seattle Chief of Police of multiple rapes and assaults taking place in the “Summer of Love.” The President will have to decide how much more of this lawlessness he is willing to tolerate before taking action, because it is obvious that the local government and Governor Jay Inslee just don’t give a damn.

“I won’t quit! Wait, you’re firing me? You can’t fire me! I quit!” – That was pretty much exactly how Saturday went for now ex-SDNY U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman. As reported here on Saturday morning, Berman refused his opportunity to resign gracefully after it was offered to him by Attorney General William Barr Friday afternoon.

Early Saturday afternoon, Barr sent Berman a letter that said, in effect, ok, then, you’re fired effective immediately. Hilariously, realizing that he is in fact screwed to the wall here, Berman then responded with this:

So, having forfeited his only graceful means of exit, Berman resorts to just making one up.  Either way, he’s gone and that’s a very good thing for America.

Bad Lindsey Graham to the rescue! – For the Democrats, that is. After Berman’s firing was announced and Barr made clear that the President intends to nominate Jay Clayton, the current chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, to replace him, South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham, chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, quickly stepped in to provide a roadblock of his own.

It is very telling that Graham’s very first reaction to all of this is to announce that he will stand on archaic Senate procedure to obstruct Clayton’s nomination. Graham falsely stated that he has always respected the Senate’s “blue-slip” tradition in such nominations, in which home state senators must signal their approval before any nominee can move forward. Thus, he in effect provides New York Senators Chuck Schumer and Kirsten Gillibrand with veto power over Clayton’s nomination.

Graham has in fact completely ignored objections by home-state senators in the cases of multiple federal judge nominees over the past 18 months. Further, Democrats have ignored this “tradition” en masse when both Bill Clinton and Barack Obama moved to willy-nilly fire almost every incumbent U.S. Attorney they inherited and replace them all. Graham was actually in the Senate when that happened in 2009 and was completely submissive to it.

But now that a Republican President wants to replace a single corrupt U.S. attorney, Bad Lindsey Graham decides he simply must stand on stupid, non-productive Senate ceremony. Because of course he does.

As Tucker Carlson tells you almost every night of the week on his show, the GOP caucus in the congress is little more than a collection of useless gas bags, and Senator Graham may well be the worst of the entire lot.

That is all.

The Evening Wrap: A Fake HCQ Study, New Religious Cults, and Ben Sasse Throws a Tantrum *UPDATED*

Hey, remember that Lancet study from a few weeks ago that claimed to show that Hydroxychloroquine was somehow deadly to Wuhan Virus patients? – Yeah, the study was a scam:

It turns out that the company that provided the “data” for the study doesn’t even exist, and that the report that Lancet – a “respected” medical journal – published was actually authored by a science fiction writer. I’m not kidding. Not even the greatest science fiction writer who ever lived could possibly make this stuff up.

It was all just another leftist scam to “get” Donald Trump.  The sad part of it is that people most likely died as a result of the chilling effect it had on doctors being willing to prescribe this safe, cheap and widely-used drug for patients it could have benefited. Despicable.

This is what a religious cult looks like:

Just sayin’.

Speaking of stuff you could never make up… – A couple of friends who are on a trip in Alaska right now sent me this photo today:

This is posted on a miles-long hiking trail that most likely doesn’t have 50 people on it today. There is literally not one shred of science or data that supports the notion that staying 6 feet from people in the wilds of Alaska makes even the tiniest difference, yet there it is.

This is also stuff that a religious cult adhering to nothing but dogma would do.

Burying the lede… – Ned Ryun was angry to see the news that Lindsey Graham had postponed today’s scheduled subpoena vote by the Senate Judiciary Committee after Nebraska RINO Ben Sasse threw a typical hissy fit:

However, if you go actually read that article by The Hill, you find this lede conveniently buried way down in the final two paragraphs:

Earlier Thursday, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee held its own vote to give subpoena power to Chairman Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) for that panel’s investigation into Obama-era actions including Crossfire Hurricane.

The vote allows Johnson to subpoena Comey, Rice and former CIA Director John Brennan, among others.

Oh.

See, it’s not all up to Senator Graham. This can all just as easily be exposed by the Homeland Security Committee, whose Chairman is a far more serious person and not nearly so obviously compromised.

***UPDATE*** – James Rosen is reporting now that Senate Judiciary met later this afternoon and voted along party lines to authorize Graham to issue the subpoenas:

Fun!

***UPDATE 2*** The normally astute Mr. Rosen was wrong. Sorry about that.

What, is the New York Times running itself as a day-care center now? – After all of his corrupt reporters tossed a mass meltdown on Twitter last night and his editors staged an open rebellion over the publication of an op/ed by Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton, New York Times Publisher A.G. Sulzberger felt the need to explain the basics of newspaper publishing to his herd of juvenile delinquents:

The op-ed page exists to offer views from across the spectrum, with a special focus on those that challenge the positions taken by our Editorial Board. We see that as a source of strength, allowing us to provide readers with a diversity of perspectives that is all too rare in modern media. We don’t publish just any argument — they need to be accurate, good faith explorations of the issues of the day — and there are many reasons why Op-Eds are denied publication. It is clear many believe this piece fell outside the realm of acceptability, representing dangerous commentary in an explosive moment that should not have found a home in The Times, even as a counterpoint to our own institutional view. I believe in the principle of openness to a range of opinions, even those we may disagree with, and this piece was published in that spirit. But it’s essential that we listen and to reflect on the concerns we’re hearing, as we would with any piece that is the subject of significant criticism.

[End]

Absolutely stunning that a newspaper publisher has to write something like this to a pack of people who presumably graduated from something called “journalism school.” And we wonder why journalism – real journalism – has become an anachronism in our country.

Speaking of the corrupt news media… – Remember how every fake media outlet in the nation went berserk over this video clip a couple of weeks ago, with many squealing that these people were all gonna get the Wuhan Virus and spread it all over the country?

There have been no new cases of the novel coronavirus among the hundreds who flouted social distancing guidelines and attended pool parties at Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks over Memorial Day weekend, a state health official said this week.

Videos and photos that showed hundreds of partygoers prompted health officials in the state to express concerns that the large gatherings would lead to a surge in cases of COVID-19. Those who attended were urged to self-quarantine and get tested, while officials in St. Louis County — Lake of the Ozarks is a popular getaway for people who live in St. Louis — later issued a travel advisory.

Overall, the statewide hospitalizations from the virus have decreased by more than 40 percent in recent weeks, while the state’s number of positive cases has also declined, Parson said during the briefing, per the newspaper.

“Our hospitals are not overwhelmed. Our positivity rate continues to decline. People are recovering, and we are moving forward,” he said.

[End]

Oh.

One final reminder. – In 2009 and 2010, Americans put in office a Black president, a black attorney general, Joe Biden as VP, and Democrats had super majorities in both houses of congress. During those years, and the six years that followed, there was no criminal justice reform; there was no prison reform; there was no police reform or any other effort to correct racial injustice.

What did they focus on instead? Nationalized healthcare and climate change.

Because they’re all Democrats, and they don’t mean a damn thing they’re saying today.

That is all.

The Evening Wrap: Rosenstein Tosses McCabe Under the Bus, and Other WINNING News

So many items of WINNING news today it’s hard to know where to start.

How about this: The ADP private sector jobs report for May is in, and although it’s a big negative number, it’s still positive news in the context of this whole self-imposed Wuhan Virus recession. The ADP number for May came in at a net jobs loss of 2.76 million, which is obviously a depressing number. But – and it’s a big BUT – the consensus of projections by the so-called experts in this field had predicted a loss of 8.663 million jobs, almost 6 million more than the actual number.

What this means is pretty clear:

– Many workers who had lost jobs over the last 10 weeks and filed initial claims for unemployment quickly found new jobs;

– Businesses are reopening faster than the “experts” have anticipated despite the efforts by an array of Democrat governors to prevent that from happening in states like Michigan, New York, California, Oregon, New Jersey and Nevada;

– The reduction in economic growth has obviously not been as deep and severe as most have estimated.

That’s why we have this next bit of WINNING news: The Dow Jones Industrial Average rocketed up above 26,000 today, just 5 trading days after it topped 25,000 last Wednesday, and just 9 weeks after it bottomed out at 18,591. That is a rise of ~40% in a little over 2 months.

At the same time, the NASDAQ hit 9,681 today, and is now within just 70 points of regaining every bit of the losses it suffered in March. Given that the stock markets tend to reflect where investors believe the economy will be 3 to 6 months from now, that represents a stunning vote of confidence in the U.S. economy.

Obviously, the investor class in our country has just as little faith in the economic “expert” class as you and I do.

Oh, hey, then there’s this: You may be wondering why all the rioting across the country suddenly got dialed back last night. President Trump is saying that it’s because some mayors – like Eric Garcetti in Los Angeles – called in the National Guard, and that likely has a lot of merit. But other depraved Democrats like Bill de Blasio and Lori Lightfoot in Chicago did not do that, yet saw a dramatic decrease in violence and mayhem in their cities, too.

Here’s why I believe that happened: The Democrats – and thus, Antifa and Black Lives Matter – got hold of bad polling data, which meant all the bad out-of-state actors were ordered to go home. Remember, every decision the Democrats make is based on polling data.

The bad data on the riots came to them in the form of a new poll from the very liberal Morning Consult polling group, which finds that Americans favor using the National Guard and the U.S. military to put down these riots by a frankly amazing 58%-30% margin. The move is even favored by Democrat voters by a 48-43 margin.

In another bit of bad polling data (for Democrats), the Rasmussen survey shows that a large plurality of Americans consider Antifa to be a terrorist organization. 49% of respondents answered yes, while just 30% said no.

If you don’t think that data caused a ton of Democrat heads to explode, then you don’t understand how Democrats think and operate.

Uhhhh, who to believe – Rod Rosenstein? Or Andrew McCabe? – It’s a very tough choice, but that is what America faces today following an interesting Senate Judiciary Committee hearing in which the oily, rodent-like former Acting Attorney General offered his sniffing and slurping testimony. In this instance, I would tend to believe Rosenstein, if only for the fact that being slightly more believable than the pathological liar McCabe is such a low damn bar.

As we pointed out yesterday, Rosenstein has much to answer for related to his gross misconduct in office during the active coup d’etat effort which he personally facilitated from May 2017 through March 2019. Sadly, the stilted format of these hearings and uselessness of so many of the GOP senators meant that he only had to answer for a few of those things today.

The main focus of the few Republicans who really went after Rosenstein today – Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz and Chuck Grassley – was why Rosenstein signed off on the 4th fraudulent FISA warrant and appointed Robert Mueller shortly after he had assumed the office of Deputy Attorney General. Rosenstein’s wormy answer basically amounted to, “hey, I was just going on the information provided to me by Andy McCabe and his evil team, which included Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.”

Remember, at a press conference two years ago, Rosenstein went on and on about the fact that “In order to get a FISA warrant, you need an affidavit signed by a career law enforcement officer who swears the information is true… And if it is wrong, that person is going to face consequences.”

Remember that? I do, and today Rosenstein outright admitted his signing off on that FISA warrant based solely on the word of a pathological liar and his demonic staff was, well, wrong. But of course, he then added that, hey, he was just the new guy at DOJ and couldn’t be expected to try to verify any of the BS he was being fed by McCabe and Strzok and Page.

Naturally, McCabe was watching the proceedings at home – or maybe at CNN headquarters, where he remains employed as a richly-paid on-screen liar, er, “contributor” – and he issued a statement defending himself as the hearing was progressing, as reported by JustTheNews.com:

In a statement apparently authored shortly after Rosenstein made that assertion, McCabe said that Rosenstein’s “claims to have been misled by me or anyone from the F.B.I.” were “completely false.”

“I briefed Mr. Rosenstein on Jim Comey’s memos describing his interactions with the president days after Mr. Rosenstein wrote the memo firing Jim Comey,” McCabe said, in a statement read by committee Chairman Lindsey Graham.

Rosenstein’s remarks “loo[k] to be another sad attempt by the president and his men to rewrite the history of their actions in 2017,” McCabe said. “They have found in Mr. Rosenstein, then and now, a willing accessory in that effort.”

[End]

Hilariously, Lindsey Graham closed the hearing out by reading McCabe’s statement and allowing Rosenstein to give one more worm-like answer:

“I did not say that Mr. McCabe misled me,” he said. “Those were not my words. I think he is responding to somebody’s question.”

“What I said was, he did not reveal the Comey memos to me for a week. And that is true. He revealed them to me only a couple of hours before they showed up in the New York Times, and he did not reveal to me that he was having internal deliberations with his team about whether to target high-profile people for investigation.”

[End]

Here’s reality: Rosenstein admitted under oath today that he had zero basis for signing that FISA warrant; zero basis for believing anyone in the Trump Campaign or Transition team was colluding with the Russians; and thus, zero basis for appointing a special counsel. He admitted that he basically didn’t know nuthin’ about nuthin’ and just allowed himself to be strung along by the coup cabal made up of Obama holdovers at the DOJ and FBI.

Absolutely sickening.

Tomorrow, expect the GOP majority to vote unanimously to issue subpoenas to more than 50 Obama loyalists who tried to fix the 2016 election and then overthrow a duly-elected POTUS.

This is actually gonna be fun to watch.

I leave you with this absolutely epic clip of Senator Ted Cruz destroying Rosenstein, Barack Obama, Susan Rice and Joe Biden at today’s hearing:

Rod Rosenstein Has Much to Answer For, if Only the Senators Will Demand he do so

The Afternoon Campaign Update

Rod Rosenstein will testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee tomorrow in Lindsey Graham’s first Obamagate-related hearing since he assumed the chairmanship in January 2019. Supposedly, the committee will then reconvene on Thursday to vote to subpoena a long list of the major players in the whole Russia Collusion hoax that morphed into a soft coup d’etat under the guise of the Mueller Investigation.

Who was the guy responsible for creating the Gestapo/KGB-style Mueller Investigation? Why, Mr. Rosenstein, of course, which, combined with the fact that he also personally signed one of the fraudulently-compiled applications for FISA warrants presumably explains why Graham chose him as the witness to kick off the committee’s festivities. But those are far from the only items of interest we know about Rosenstein’s role in the four-year Obamagate hoax.

Here are some others:

  • We know Rosenstein had a long series of contacts with Robert Mueller in the two weeks leading up to Mueller’s appointment as Special Counsel – what were those about?
  • We know that Rosenstein actually recommended that President Trump appoint Mueller to be his FBI Director after he had fired James Comey.
  • We know Rosenstein actually set up an interview for Mueller for that position with the President himself, and on the very next day appointed Mueller to be the Special Counsel. He should be forced by GOP committee members to explain that timing of events, and why he thought that Mueller of all people would be the right person to lead the Trump FBI.
  • We have very solid indications that Rosenstein, in a meeting with Andrew McCabe and other FBI/DOJ coup cabal participants, offered to wear a wire to record his conversations with the President of the United States.
  • We know that Rosenstein wrote two additional authorization memos extending Mueller’s scope in the months following his appointment, but have not seen the full text of those memos.
  • We know that, because Jeff Sessions was recused, Rosenstein personally had oversight over the entire Mueller enterprise and the rampant abuses and Gestapo-style tactics it used to deprive U.S. citizens of their rights and freedoms. In a span of two solid years, Rosenstein never exercised his authority to rein in the out-of-control special counsel operation.
  • We know that Rosenstein coordinated with then-Washington office U.S. Attorney Jessie Liu to cover up the crimes committed by James Wolfe, the counsel for the Senate Intel Committee who traded national secrets for sex with a New York Times reporter less than half his age.
  • We know that Rosenstein coordinated multiple times with the corrupt U.S. attorneys framing General Mike Flynn to withhold exculpatory documents from Flynn’s defense team.
  • We know that Rosenstein stood before the assembled national press and announced Mueller’s sham indictments of Concorde Management, a Russian firm, knowing full well those indictments had zero substance behind them and were purely for show.

This is all stuff I can think of just off the top of my head – there is no doubt much, much more fertile ground to be plowed in tomorrow’s hearing with Rosenstein if Graham and his fellow GOP committee members are willing to do so.

Certainly, if this hearing were being held before the completely corrupted, RINO-filled Senate Intel Committee, we could only rely on Arkansas Senator Tom Cotton to ask anything resembling tough questions of Rosenstein. But here’s the thing about the Judiciary Committee: There are half a dozen Republican members who can be counted on to really take it to this witness.

Those senators include:

  • Texas Senator Ted Cruz;
  • Missouri Senator Josh Hawley;
  • Crusty old Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley;
  • Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn;
  • Louisiana Senator John Kennedy; and
  • Senator Graham himself, who, despite his interminable delaying tactics, can be counted on to put on a good show in front of the TV cameras.

The rest of the Republicans – Senators Mike Lee (UT), John Cornyn (TX), Joni Ernst (IA), Mike Crapo (ID), Ben Sasse (NE), and Thom Tillis (NC) will likely be useless. And of course, the Democrat members can be counted on to obfuscate and resort to their usual subject-shifting histrionics. Because they aren’t serious people, and that’s what they do.

Rosenstein is a clever and skilled lawyer, so no one should expect any slip-ups or big new revelations to escape his thin lips. But he will be testifying under oath, and the six senators listed above will make sure that this hearing will not be easy for him.

He has much to answer for.

That is all.

Lindsey Graham to the Rescue? Don’t Count on it.

The Mid-Day Campaign Update

Ok. Now do Stacey Abrams. – In an interview on CNN last night, doddering, often drunk House Speaker Nancy Pelosi – whose eyebrows rise further up her massive forehead with each passing congressional recess – referred to President Donald Trump as being “morbidly obese.” First Lady Melania Trump thinks of the President more as being “pleasingly plump.”

You can’t win at this game, Madam Speaker. Neither can Ms. Abrams.

Is Senator Lindsey Graham actually about to hold an Obamagate hearing? – Don’t bet the farm on it yet, but yesterday the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee did at least schedule a hearing to debate whether or not to issue subpoenas to potential witnesses.

Of course, Graham set the agenda for his May 21 hearing in such a way to ensure that at least two more weeks would go by before the committee votes on the question. At that June 4 hearing, assuming the Republicans on the committee hold together (not a safe assumption in the RINO-filled Senate) to approve the question, you can be sure that many more weeks would then pass before Graham actually schedules additional hearing to begin questioning the witnesses.

From the Committee notice, here is the list of possible witnesses Graham will propose to subpoena to testify:

Trisha Anderson, Brian Auten, James Baker, William Barr, Dana Boente, Jennifer Boone, John Brennan, James Clapper, Kevin Clinesmith, James Comey, Patrick Conlon, Michael Dempsey, Stuart Evans, Tashina Gauhar, Carl Ghattas, Curtis Heide, Kathleen Kavalec, David Laufman, Stephen Laycock, Jacob Lew, Loretta Lynch, Andrew McCabe, Mary McCord, Denis McDonough, Arthur McGlynn, Jonathan Moffa, Sally Moyer, Mike Neufield, Sean Newell, Victoria Nuland, Bruce Ohr, Nellie Ohr, Stephanie L. O’Sullivan, Lisa Page, Joseph Pientka, John Podesta, Samantha Power, E.W. “Bill” Priestap, Sarah Raskin, Steve Ricchetti, Susan Rice, Rod Rosenstein, Gabriel Sanz-Rexach, Nathan Sheets, Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall, Glenn Simpson, Steve Somma, Peter Strzok, Michael Sussman, Adam Szubin, Jonathan Winer, Christopher Wray, and Sally Yates.

Graham is at least pretend-focused on the FBI’s code-named “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation that began in July 2016, and which led to the illegal spying operations on the Trump Campaign, Trump Transition Team and even into the Trump Administration. That spying was conducted under the aegis of four successive FISA warrants which the FBI fraudulently obtained based on the Steel Dossier.

If you think I’m being overly harsh on Sen. Graham, keep in mind that the South Carolina Senator has held the Judiciary Chairman’s seat since January 2019. Since well before that time, there has been plenty of information in the public domain to justify issuing these subpoenas and convening hearings on the matter. Yet, Graham has spent the last 17 months promising to hold such hearings on various Fox News programs, and then contriving excuses why he just couldn’t do so at that time.

It has been obvious for months now that his real plan was to get all the way through the end of this year – after which the Chair will go back to Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley – without having done a damn thing. But something or someone has obviously finally prodded Graham into at least taking this tentative first step.

When you look at how this process will likely play out, even if the Committee votes to move forward, it is highly unlikely to issue any findings until well into 2021, at the earliest. Think about it:

– The conducting of hearings with this many witnesses would consume weeks of time, and Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is not going to allow this committee to shift all of its focus away from its core responsibility of confirming Trump-nominated judges and administration officials;

– Under normal circumstances, the Senate would only be in session for about a third of the 190 or so days remaining between now and the end of the year. Ongoing issues related to the Wuhan Virus will dictate that it is in session for substantially fewer days than that.

– That means, under optimal conditions, the committee might – might – be able to finish taking testimony by Election Day, November 3.

– After that, you’re going to consume probably another 3 months just dealing with Democrat delaying tactics, not to mention lawsuits filed by the Democrats’ Lawfare army.

– Then, it’s going to take another 3 to 6 months to get a final report written.

Add that all up, and even if the minimum time frames mentioned above are consumed, you are all the way into May/June of next year.

Oh, and in case you’re thinking that, hey, at least Graham will be able to chastise these corrupt people in public hearings in the meantime, think again. It’s a very safe bet that Graham and his fellow RINOs will quickly agree to Democrat demands to hold the hearings during which testimony is taken behind closed doors.

Thus, Senator Graham will have accomplished his obvious goal of doing nothing to advance the cause of justice through his committee for his entire two year term as its chairman.

This is the DC Swamp at its worst.

That is all.

Saturday News Roundup: Trump, Graham, WHO, Flynn 302, and Alien Hybrids

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II

Some Trump supporters are up in arms today about the news that President Trump is going to “restore” U.S. funding for the corrupt and ineffective WHO. But they are missing the part where Trump says the U.S. will only match funding provided by China. Given that China’s contribution to the WHO is about 10% of what the U.S. contributed last year, this means that the President just committed to a 90% reduction in U.S. funding. Pay attention to the details, folks.

Speaking of the WHO… – Bad Lindsey Graham keeps rearing his ugly head. On Friday he told reporters that he would “double funding” for the WHO if Bill Gates was in charge of it. Gates, of course, is a completely committed globalist who has spent the last 15 years pushing for a global government. This is the kind of human ghoul who Lindsey really admires.

Original Flynn 302? What original Flynn 302? – The folks at The Conservative Treehouse have another great piece detailing new information showing that the original FBI 302 report from the entrapment interview of General Mike Flynn is missing, and that Sally Yates and James Comey both played a role in making it disappear. Go read it – you’ll be smarter for doing so.

Nick Searcy at RedState.com has an outstanding piece up today detailing how the global political left has finally achieved its goal of ruining the entire world. The piece includes this outstanding passage about the utter futility of widespread testing:

They will never let the old America come back if they can help it. They want it dead and gone, and always have. And in the Chinese Virus, or COVID19 or the Moo Shu Achoo or Lung Pao Sicken or whatever “racist” name you want to give it, they have stumbled upon the perfect weapon — because it can never be solved.

You may have it and not have any symptoms — but you may spread this thing with no symptoms to someone else who also may not have symptoms, so you have to stay home. But if someone else gets it and has symptoms, then you are a murderer, so you have to stay home. In order for you to be sure you don’t have it, YOU HAVE TO BE TESTED — but then, even if you test negative for the virus, YOU MIGHT GET IT 30 SECONDS AFTER THE TEST, so you have to stay home. And we can’t ever go back to normal until every single human being in America is tested — but even then, we can’t be sure, so you have to stay home.

[End]

The folks at The Right Scoop have a great write-up about the growing, coordinated effort by the Biden Campaign and the corrupt news media to smear CBS News Reporter Catherine Herridge. Her crime? Engaging in truthful and accurate reporting at one of the left’s long-time pet corrupt news outlets. It’s the same crime that got great reporters Sharyl Atkisson and Lara Logan tossed out of CBS. The left hates honest reporters, especially if they are women, and will fight like hell to rid them from our midst.

But this is the kind of woman the left really loves. – This woman looks decidedly un-healthy, yet she is the person who is giving COVID-19 advice to thug Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti. Is she even a human being? If there really was such a thing as alien hybrids, wouldn’t you expect them to look just like this?

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf’s nursing home scandal continues to grow, as does Andrew Cuomo’s. The horrific judgment and decisions by these men directly caused thousands of senior citizen deaths in their respective states. Pennsylvanians are out demonstrating their displeasure with Wolfe this morning.

Incidentally, the alien hybrid invasion appears to have made its way to the Pennsylvania health office, where Rachel Levine advises Wolf on COVID-19 policy (hat tip to contributor Phineas Gage for this reference):

Goodness.

The U.S. is dramatically over-counting Wuhan Virus deaths. John Lott, Jr. details how and why in today’s piece at Townhall.com.

Nancy Pelosi: Domestic Enemy

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

In an appearance with Jake Tapper on CNN Sunday morning, despicable and depraved Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi said this:

In response, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, appearing on Fox News with Maria Bartiromo, said this:

“What she said, she’s blaming the president for people dying because of the way he’s led the country. That’s the most shameful disgusting statement by any politician in modern history. Let me tell you we’ve seen the best of America from our citizens helping each other, delivering groceries, having special shopping hours for senior citizens. She’s the first politician to blame another politician for people dying.”

There is no question that Sen. Graham is right: Pelosi’s statement is unhinged and completely unbecoming anyone who holds such a high office. But sadly, it is becoming more and more typical of this 80 year-old lunatic as she continues to age.

Let’s remember that San Fran Nan is fresh off of holding up a crucial stimulus bill for an entire week so she could insert pork to feed to favored constitutents like NPR, PBS, the National Endowments for the Arts and Humanities, and the Kennedy Center. The Kennedy Center is such a national disgrace that it couldn’t even wait 24 hours from the time it received its $25 million bailout to tell all of its resident musicians that they were being laid off.

Let’s also remember that, when President Trump took the early, foresightful action of cutting off most travel into the U.S. from China on January 31, this is how the depraved Pelosi responded:

And here’s the babbling idiot urging tourists to go party in San Francisco’s Chinatown district on … wait for it … February 24:

Let’s also remember that, as the coronavirus was germinating in China’s Wuhan province last November through January, being spread across the world thanks to the rank mendacity of the ChiCom government, Nancy Pelosi was abusing her power and distracting the entire apparatus of the federal government with a completely bogus impeachment hoax. This stands as one of the most repugnant abuses of power by a high federal office holder in American history.

In their oaths of office, members of congress, commissioned military officers and other officials promise to “defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic”.

Nancy Pelosi, through her habitual bald-faced lying, her abuse of her powers as Speaker, and her increasingly wild and irrational accusations aimed at the President and anyone else who opposes her radical leftist agenda, has very clearly proven herself to be a domestic enemy of the constitution and the people of this country. She should be treated accordingly by all thinking Americans.

Lindsey Graham Kicks the Can Down the Road One More Time

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

He’s not even talking a good game anymore. – Listen carefully to the second clip below of Senator Lindsey Graham, Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, as he essentially tells us that he is just going to keep talking, while at the same time doing nothing of any substance:

Here’s a transcript of that second clip, as Maria Bartiromo begins by asking him exactly what he plans to do in the next two weeks.:

Graham: You’re gonna have people interviewed by my staff and others, to find, to get the foundation. Before I call McCabe and Comey, I wanna find out exactly what happened. I wanna find out who told what to who, and then we’ll call ’em. I just can’t believe that…the investigation fell apart…In January 2017, they got two more warrants after they knew it was a bunch of garbage. How could that possibly happen?

Bartiromo: Yeah, and I just want to point out our timeline, which is this counterintel that happened way before July 31st of 2016, which is when the FBI said their investigation into Trump began. We go all the way back to December of 2015 on this timeline, when Michael Flynn was invited to Russia to sit next to Putin. Then you’ve got Papadopoulous meeting with Joseph Mifsud in April of 2016. Papadopoulous also invited to Rome where he was introduced to Mifsud as early as March of 2016. This is something John Durham is looking at. All of this activity before the beginning of this investigation. Why send these informants into Trump campaign people? Do you believe this is what John Durham is looking at as well?

Graham: Yeah, I think he’s looking at how it started. [Oh. You don’t say.] You gotta remember, the Mueller investigation was started after Comey was fired, because Rosenstein wanted Mueller to look at possible criminal activity by the Trump campaign.

Here’s my question to Rosenstein: If you knew then what you know now, that it was a bunch of garbage, would you have appointed Mueller? There was no crime; the Dossier was the basis of the warrant; in January, 2017 it was a bunch of garbage; the guy who provided the information to Steele rejected the Dossier’s being reliable. How could they continue? Why did it take two years for Mueller to figure this out? He should’ve figured it out in a week.

[End]

Ok, so, The essence of what you see and read here is that, as Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Lindsey Graham has made zero progress in a year. A full year ago, he was doing TV interviews saying and asking the exact same things he says and asks in this interview.

The only thing that is evolving and progressing related to any of this is his talking points and rationale for kicking the can down the road:

  • In February of last year, he had to wait to hold any hearings until newly-appointed AG William Barr had had time to get confirmed and acclimated into office;
  • In May of last year, he had to wait until Robert Mueller had testified before the House Judiciary Committee;
  • In September of last year, he had to wait until the House had run through its idiotic impeachment scam, for reasons that made no sense at all;
  • In November of last year, he had to wait until John Durham had completed his own investigation;
  • In January, he had to wait until the Senate Trial had been fully adjudicated.

So, here we are, a full year later, and all of these things have run their course, leaving Lindsey out of semi-valid excuses for further delay. Thus, now he turns to process: Before he can hold any hearings, he’s basically telling Bartiromo in this interview that he must wait until his staff has interviewed all the potential witnesses and conducted their own freaking investigation. And not just his staff, but these nebulous “others” who are not identified.

This single statement right here is a ticket for infinite delay: “I wanna find out who told what to who, and then we’ll call ’em.”

Of course, the truth is that we already know “who told what to who.” We know it ad nauseum, in fact, from the thousands of hours of testimony and millions of documents on the public record today that have been compiled by all the previous investigations that have been conducted into all of this. Graham has no real reason to have his staff spend weeks and months re-interviewing McCabe, Comey and all the other bad actors from the Obama era: All he and his staff need to do is review the massive record that has already been accumulated through more than three solid years of investigations, issue subpoenas for testimony, and start asking some damn questions in public hearings.

Maria Bartiromo seems to be a well-intentioned individual. At some point, one would hope that she would take the time to go back and conduct a review of all of her interviews with Graham since he became Chairman of Senate Judiciary, so she can see how the Senator has been stringing her and her audience along on this thing. And then, perhaps, get him back on the show and demand that he stop with the nonsense and provide some real answers.

Bottom line: If you are thinking you’re ever going to get anything real out of Lindsey Graham and the Senate Judiciary Committee in regard to trying to hold all the Obama-era bad actors accountable for their seditious actions, you are destined to be extremely disappointed. He has no intention of doing a damn thing.

On the positive side, Graham and his committee continues to confirm a butt-load of Trump judicial appointees. So, take that for what it’s worth and be happy about it, because that is all you are ever going to get from Graham’s chairmanship of this committee.

That is all.

Lindsey Graham Drops the “Jail” Bomb on Judge Jeanine

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Appearing with Judge Jeanine Pirro on Fox News, Senator Lindsey Graham gave us another dose of big talk Saturday. The Senator who has done a lot of talking and accomplished pretty much nothing in terms of investigating anything for an entire year as Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee was once again spouting off on investigating pretty much everybody. At one point in the clip below, you will hear him even promise Pirro’s audience that “half the people involved in the Russia investigation” will end up in jail.

Here’s the thing about this: He’s running out of time. Senate investigations take a lot of time. It can and often does take weeks or even months to get a single witness’s testimony, especially given the willingness of Obama judges on the federal courts to intervene in congressional processes these days. But Graham makes it sound as if he has a grand plan for finally, at long last taking some action in this regard now that the impeachment scam has been disposed of.

Below is a 7:23 clip of the interview, much of which is irrelevant to the subject of this piece. A transcription of several of the key passages follows the clip.

Partial transcript:

Pirro: What’s left for Mitt Romney?

Graham: Well, number one, I’m not going to say anything bad about Mitt Romney. I’ve known him for a long time and I think he made a very bad judgment call. I’m not going to question his faith. But let’s see if you and I can figure this out in about two minutes.

Who was behind it [impeachment]? Schiff, Nadler, Pelosi. Not  Mueller, not Watergate prosecutors, not Ken Starr. The 3 most partisan people in the country, who hate Trump’s guts. How did they do it? They impeached the man in 78 days. He couldn’t call a witness; he couldn’t cross-examine anybody; he couldn’t present evidence….[summary of the impeachment scam continues here] this was a bad decision for anybody to vote guilty on these facts.

Pirro: What do they do now? Do they move on?

Graham: I don’t think they can move on, because they’ve got nothing to move on to…

Pirro: Let’s switch it to you guys. Can we expect that you, or Burr as Chairman of Senate Intelligence, may want to look at the whistleblower…the Bidens…James Rich, Chair of Foreign Relations, doesn’t seem to have an appetite. He says “I’ve got other things I’m doing now and I haven’t given it any thought.” Haven’t given it any thought??? America’s been talking about this for 3 months!

Graham: So, we’re not gonna live in a world where, as a Republican, you get investigated from the day you’re sworn in; 3 years later, they’re still coming after you.

Here’s what amazes me. The Russia investigation, what happened? Half the people involved in the Russia investigation are gonna go to jail, and Trump was cleared…

Pirro: Hopefully…

Graham: Well, just hang tight. They come after Trump on Ukraine, and Biden blows up. So, every time they throw a rock at Trump, they get hit.

So, here’s what we should look at: Why did the State Department not act when they were told about the conflict of interest with Hunter Biden regarding Ukraine, right? Who is the whistleblower? Does he have contacts on Schiff’s staff? Did Col. Vindman lead information to the whistleblower? And as to the FISA warrant, how could you sign the warrant four times and not know the thing was off the rails? That’s where I come in.

Pirro: So, you’re going to do something. You want to tell us what you’re going to do?

Graham: Yeah, I’m going to give a list of witnesses to the Department of Justice that I want to call. It’s going to the case agent. I want to find out how this thing got so screwed up. Why didn’t they tell about the Russian source who said the Dossier’s not reliable? How could it be possible that it never goes up to the top?

I want to know what Obama knew about this investigation. I want to call Rosenstein, Sally Yates, Comey, McCabe, and all the people who worked on this case, to find out how it got so off the rails and make sure it never happens again. I want to know who in the White House knew about this counterintelligence investigation against the Republican nominee.

Pirro: [Immediately changes the subject to Joe Manchin’s vote to convict the President. It’s Joe freaking Manchin – who cares?]

Graham: …The reason I’m so upset about this impeachment is it puts every president after Trump at risk. You can’t even pick the phone up as president under this standard.

Pirro: [Changes the subject to Afghanistan.]

[End Transcript]

So, several things to unpack here:

  • As is always the case with Senator Graham, what we have here is a mixed bag. Graham continues to promise to perform investigations, which is great if he starts following through with some real action starting now. Not in April, not in June, not in August because by then it will be too late. Now, Senator.
  • It is encouraging that Graham pointedly lists the whistleblower – who we all know is Eric Ciaramella – Adam Schiff’s staff and Alexander Vindman as subjects he plans to pursue with his committee. Yes, Hunter and Joe Biden are important here, but they weren’t part of this coup effort in any real sense. Ciaramella, Vindman and the bad actors on Schiff’s staff – along with Schiff himself, obviously – were a part of it.
  • And how patently absurd is it that U.S. senators are still going on national TV and saying “the whistleblower” when everyone in the room and watching at home knows who the freaking whistleblower really is? This is national insanity. Ciaramella participated in a COUP D’ETAT, folks, and that is treason.
  • But look at Graham giving himself a convenient out on all of this, when he says he’s going to send a list of potential witnesses to the “case agent” for approval. That “case agent” is a guy named John Durham.
  • If Durham is really performing an actual investigation – and I believe he is – then that’s great. Let him determine whether the Senate taking public testimony will interfere with anything he’s doing. But if, as others suspect, Durham and Barr are just playing a delaying game in concert with Graham and other to put this all off until the November elections have come and gone, then not so great, right?
  • When Graham tells Pirro to “just hang tight” on people going to jail, that is an obvious reference to Durham. If you, like me, believe that Durham is actually conducting an investigation designed to prosecute people, then that might be a signal from Graham that he’s been told things are about to start happening on that front.

When you boil this all down, unless Graham really is planning to start an investigation posthaste, then it’s really hard to see why he would keep going on television to talk a good game. Coming as this appearance does this close to election time, his constituents back home are really going to have some pointed questions for him if, come September, he still hasn’t moved on any of this.

It does make sense that Graham and the other Senate committees would let the whole impeachment scam play itself out before opening their own investigations. It also makes sense that Durham would wait until those waters had calmed before moving on any indictments and prosecutions. Timing is very important in all of this.

Here’s the other thing: Durham is going after real justice for real bad actors. Scams like this fake impeachment can be mounted and play out quickly, but real justice in our system takes time. It’s like the difference between a bottle of Welch’s grape juice and a bottle of 2012 Cade Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon.

In a just world, Attorney General William Barr would announce the appointment of a Special Counsel to investigate the origins of the impeachment coup d’etat, just as he has Durham investigating the origins of the whole Russia Collusion coup effort. Lacking that, we are left with only Republican-controlled Senate committees to do the investigative work, which will certainly end with a series of criminal referrals. Ultimately, either process will require DOJ to act.

Here’s the key statement Graham made in this entire interview: “So, we’re not gonna live in a world where, as a Republican, you get investigated from the day you’re sworn in; 3 years later, they’re still coming after you.”

Unless Durham is really conducting an earnest investigation that truly will end with a bunch of these people going to jail, and unless Graham and Burr and Senate Finance Chairman Chuck Grassley really do mount major investigations into the origins of the impeachment scam through their committees, that is exactly the world we are going to be living in from now on.

It is crucial to remember that all of this takes place with the November elections looming and the GOP holding onto a tenuous Senate majority. Should the voters decide to award the corrupt Democrats a majority in the Senate, then the hopes of ever bringing any of the coup plotters to justice will end, unless they have already been indicted.

Talk is cheap, gentlemen. Time to move.

That is all.
