Read the Key Quotes From William Barr Interview on Fox News

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Here are the highlights from AG William Barr’s interview with Bill Hemmer on Fox News Friday morning. This is a big deal.:

“This [The FBI spying on the Trump Campaign] was handled at the very senior levels of these agencies. It wasn’t handled in the ordinary way.”

“We have a number of investigations underway.”

“I’ve been trying to get answers to the questions, and I’ve found that a lot of the answers have been inadequate and some of the explanations I’ve gotten don’t hang together. In a sense, I have more questions today than when I first started.”

“People have to find out what the government was doing during that period. If we’re worried about foreign influence, for the very same reason we should be worried about whether government officials abuse their power and put their thumb on the scale. . . . I’m not saying that happened, but it’s something we have to look at.”

Cutaway to Devin Nunes:

“What you’re seeing is a real attorney general who is not going to take this nonsense that the Clinton Campaign started.” – Devin Nunes, in a cutaway from the interview.

“This is all about narrative-building by the left to cover up what they did. The media is culpable for this nonsense.” – Devin Nunes

“Bob Mueller knew the day he walked in the door that there was no evidence of Trump/Russia collusion.” – Devin Nunes

Back to Barr:

“Well, I think it’s a laughable charge, and it’s being made to discredit me, partly because they may be concerned about the outcome of the review. Obviously, you can look at my testimony and can see on its face that there is nothing inaccurate about it.”  William Barr, on San Fran Nan’s absurd charge that he lied to congress.

Hemmer: “When you took this job, did you think Democrats would make you a target?”

Barr: “Yes…but I felt I was in a position where this kind of criticism wouldn’t bother me much.”

Hemmer: What about the contempt charge from Congress?

Barr: Well, that’s part of the political game, the political circus that’s being played out. it doesn’t surprise me.”

Hemmer: You called it a circus. Do you feel threatened?

Barr: “No, I don’t feel threatened.

Hemmer: How do you think Brennan and Clapper handled the Russia investigation?

Barr: “I don’t want to speculate…I know some of the facts, but it’s premature to be discussing them.”

Hemmer: Can you tell us what the Steel Dossier had to do with their investigation?

Barr: “That’s one of the questions we’re going to have to look at. It’s a very unusual situation to have opposition research like that – especially one that on its face had a number of clear mistakes and a somewhat jejune analysis – and to use that to conduct counterintelligence against an American political campaign is a strange development. I’m not sure what role it played, but that’s something we’ll have to look at.”

Hemmer: Do you smell a rat in this?

Barr: “I don’t know if I’d describe it as a rat. I would just say that the answers I’m getting are not sufficient.

Hemmer: Republicans have said for months that Brennan, Clapper, maybe Comey have had it in for Trump. Do you believe that’s the case?

Barr: “Again, I’m not gonna speculate about their motives.”

Hemmer: In the period between election day and the inauguration, did anyone in government take action to justify their decisions?

Barr: “I think there were some very strange developments during that period – that’s one of the things we want to look into. Such as the handling of the meeting on January 6 between the intelligence chiefs and the President and the leaking of information subsequent to that meeting.”

Hemmer: Was that meeting in New York City? In Trump Tower?

Barr: “Yes.”

Hemmer: What questions do you have about what happened that day?

Barr: [smiling] “Again, I’m not gonna get into that. It’s one of the things we need to look at.”

Hemmer: Can you characterize how far advanced you are in looking into that meeting?

Barr: “We’re still in the stage of gathering all the information.”

Hemmer: Did you consider possible witness tampering on the part of President Trump once you got the Mueller Report?

Barr: “That’s a misconception. He [Don McGann] was not asked to change his testimony. That was a reaction to a press story in the New York Times that claimed that Trump had told him to fire Mueller. Trump was mad at the word “fire” and claimed he had never directed McGann to fire Mueller. And in fact, elsewhere the report does say that McGann was told by Trump to talk to Rosenstein to complain about conflicts of interest Mueller had and have Mueller removed for conflicts of interest.”

Watch John Brennan Desperately try to Set a Favorable Narrative, and Fail

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

The cornered rats are really scurrying for cover this week, and ex-CIA Director Dar Adol, er, John Brennan provided today’s best example in an interview with MSNBC’s favorite pet fake Republican, former Jeb! Bush operative Nicolle Wallace. During the course of this brief interview, Brennan admits that the CIA was indeed “coordinating closely” with the FBI in its spying operation that targeted Trump Campaign officials, and continued to push the narrative that none of this obvious spying was in fact “spying.” *sigh*

Here’s the clip:

As a service to those of you who still like to read stuff, I spent 20 minutes of my life transcribing this clip verbatim. I’ve also inserted comments contained within [ ] noting Brennan’s body language, which clearly indicates he is lying throughout this clip and is very self-conscious and frankly transparent about it. Here you go.

======================================

Nicolle Wallace: Who uses the word “spying” to describe lawful surveillance in a counterintelligence probe, other than Sean Hannity [snicker, snicker]?

Brennan: [clears throat] um,uh well William Barr, uh, clearly, and uh I think Donald Trump as well.

Wallace: Why?

Brennan: uh, well, [closed eyes, hunched shoulders] I think they’re clearly trying [smiling with corners of mouth turned down] to, uh, imply, and to really [hunched shoulders, tucked chin, wiggling in seat] you know, uh,uh, indicate that there was uh, misuse [nods head, affirming the misuse] of authorities…that was not the case [nods head again].

Does CIA ‘spy’? Yes. [nods head, affirming the spying] uh, do we spy against our foreign adversaries? Yes. [nods again] Do we spy against domestic individuals? No, we do not [nods head repeatedly during this, indicating deception]. We cuw…we worked very closely [hunched shoulders] with the FBI[he just admitted CIA coordinated with the FBI to spy on the Trump Campaign], and when the Russians were trying to interfere in that election, and to change the outcome of it in their favor, we, the CIA and FBI, worked very collaboratively so that we could have that ability to see what the Russians were doing and who they were working with.

So when William Barr said ‘spying’, it clearly indicated that there was something that was inappropriate, if not illegal [nods head]. Nobody used the term spying when they’re referring to legitimate, predicated, authorized investigative actions that were part of the FBI. [Note how he leaves out the CIA in that passage.]

Wallace: Why do you think he uses it? Is it taunting, does it signal to the intelligence community that he’s coming for you? Does it signal that he’s watched too much Sean Hannity? What does that word mean inside the intelligence community?

Brennan: Well I think he’s playing to Mr. Trump. I think throughout that testimony it was clear that what Mr. Barr was doing was try to say things and to try to characterize things [rapid eye-blinking throughout this] in a manner that was consistent with what Mr. Trump has said, but also very supportive of it. So, eh, and wh…and when he responded to Kamala Harris and others on these issues [looks down and to the left] he thought about it and they asked him, well, was there spying? Well, well yeah, there was.[!]

Well, to me that really suggests that he already is [hunches shoulders, wiggles in seat, looks down and to the left] looking at things that w..uh..[hunches shoulders, nods head] really did not happen. It was predicated, it was legal, it was authorized [oh, so it DID happen?]. So if they want to take a look at the FISA practices [shakes head throughout] look at other things? [hunches shoulders, shakes head] uh, that’s legitimate. There is a question about whether or not there’s gonna be all these competing investigations and how that’s gonna suck the air out of that whole environment [oh, like the past two years for example?] But it’s clear in my mind [looking down and to the left] that what Mr. Barr was suggesting was that the FBI [and the CIA?] was engaged in politically-motivated spying against one of the candidates.

=================================

So, over the last 10 days or so, we have seen Sally Yates, James Comey, James Baker, James Clapper and now John Brennan making very public efforts to create a favorable narrative for their behavior during 2016. This is being done in advance of the pending public release of the Horowitz Report on FISA abuse, and amid news of the advance of AG William Barr’s own investigation into the origins of the spying operation against the Trump Campaign. We’ve also seen Comey and Rod Rosenstein sniping at one another in public, and Comey and Brennan pointing fingers at each other over which of them insisted upon including the Steele Dossier in their FISA applications.

This is clearly a coordinated effort among these likely suspects, and may well indicate that a draft of the final Horowitz report began circulating about two weeks ago, sending the people named in it into a panic.

It seems to me that someone really should remind all of these skunks that they have the right to remain silent.

That is all.

William Barr Takes the Next Big Step

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Who is John Durham and why should you care? – Good question, and certainly not one I’d ever thought about before last night. That was when the New York Times published an article that appears to be actually true – who’d ‘a thunk it? – containing the news that Attorney General William Barr has appointed Mr. Durham, the U.S. Attorney from Connecticut, to oversee the origins of the Obama Administration’s multi-faceted spying operation targeting the Trump Campaign

Here’s an excerpt from that piece:

WASHINGTON — Attorney General William P. Barr has assigned the top federal prosecutor in Connecticut to examine the origins of the Russia investigation, according to two people familiar with the matter, a move that President Trump has long called for but that could anger law enforcement officials who insist that scrutiny of the Trump campaign was lawful.

John H. Durham, the United States attorney in Connecticut, has a history of serving as a special prosecutor investigating potential wrongdoing among national security officials, including the F.B.I.’s ties to a crime boss in Boston and accusations of C.I.A. abuses of detainees.

His inquiry is the third known investigation focused on the opening of an F.B.I. counterintelligence investigation during the 2016 presidential campaign into possible ties between Russia’s election interference and Trump associates.

The department’s inspector general, Michael E. Horowitz, is separately examining investigators’ use of wiretap applications and informants and whether any political bias against Mr. Trump influenced investigative decisions. And John W. Huber, the United States attorney in Utah, has been reviewing aspects of the Russia investigation. His findings have not been announced.

Additionally on Capitol Hill, Senator Lindsey Graham, Republican of South Carolina and chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, has said he, too, intends to review aspects of law enforcement’s work in the coming months. And Republicans conducted their own inquiries when they controlled the House, including publicizing details of the F.B.I.’s wiretap use.

[End excerpt]

Lots to unpack here.

First, if you’re worried that the assignment of the investigation to Durham is just another head-fake/delaying tactic by a corrupt Justice Department, that concern is well-founded given all the previous head-fakes and delaying tactics we’ve seen over the past couple of years. After all, a full year and a half has gone by since feckless former AG Jeff Sessions said he was assigning Salt Lake City U.S. Attorney John Huber to conduct an investigation into many aspects of the Russia Collusion fantasy, and we have yet to hear boo out of him or see any real indication he’s done a damn thing in that regard.

But of course, that was Jeff Sessions and now we have William Barr in the AG job. Hopefully, that makes a difference. Barr was always going to assign this investigation to someone under his supervision – it was either that or appoint another special counsel to do it, and assigning it to a U.S. Attorney gives Barr fuller control over the direction of the process. That’s either a good or a bad thing depending entirely on what Barr’s real intentions are.

Barr has certainly given us every indication he is a real AG focused on enforcing the rule of law and bringing the real bad actors in all of this to justice, which is why we have seen all the Democrats and their media toadies in such a panic in recent weeks. Justice is the last thing those people want to see.

At any rate, any major undertaking like this requires a focal point to lead it, and Durham is Barr’s pick to do it. It is encouraging that Durham was originally brought into the Justice Department during the Reagan Administration in 1982, and was appointed to his current position by Donald Trump in 2017. It is also encouraging that he has not been a creature of the Washington, DC Swamp, serving the majority of his career in Connecticut with a four year period as the Acting U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of Virginia from 2008-12.

If you’re concerned that this will be another Huber-like year-and-a-half-long head-fake that gets us to the November, 2020 election with nothing to show for it, there is also reason for optimism that that won’t be the case. Given the flurry of self-serving media appearances we have seen from likely suspects like James Comey, James Baker, John Brennan and Sally Yates over the past couple of weeks, it appears likely that the upcoming report on FISA abuse from DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz has been making the rounds and might well contain criminal referrals.

Yeah, Horowitz took a powder on doing that in last year’s report on the FBI’s conduct of the Clinton email investigation, but that was when Sessions was AG. Hopefully, the presence of a real AG will embolden the IG’s office to do the right thing. It’s easier to confront powerful people when you know you have powerful people backing you up.

Let’s say that happens, and let’s recognize that Durham will also be armed with multiple criminal referrals from various congressional committees that have been issued to the Justice Department over the last year. Armed with the results of the multiple Horowitz investigations and all the data accumulated by the congressional investigations over the past two years, Durham should be able to move to the indictment and prosecution phase fairly rapidly if that is his real goal here.

Let’s be painfully honest: We know who the bad actors in all of this really were. The public record already accumulated is crystal clear on this. All that has been lacking to this point is a real Attorney General and a set of diligent prosecutors who were willing to act on behalf of the public interest and uphold the rule of law.

With Rod Rosenstein’s exit from DOJ, the last of the known obstructionists to justice is now gone. Well, except for FBI Director Christopher Wray, anyway. All we the people can do now is wait and pray they haven’t been replaced by a new set of obstructionists.

It won’t take long to figure that out.

That is all.

The Democrats Won’t Stop the Madness Until They’re Stopped

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Several times a week, I get some variation of this question: “When are the Democrats going to stop all of this madness?” – The simple answer, of course, is that they aren’t. The behavior of the leaders of the Democrat Party and their toadies in the fake news media is only going to become increasingly radical and unhinged until they are stopped.

Many had thought – hoped – that their despicable daily behavior would calm down somewhat after the Mueller Witch Hunt had shut down and exonerated President Donald Trump. That obviously didn’t happen, and the Democrats and their media toadies did what they always do: Double-down on deception.

Attorney General William Barr released a 95% un-redacted version of the Mueller Report, and the Democrats screamed “cover-up!” Then he made 99% of the Report available to all Democrat members of congress, and they screamed “cover-up!” Then he spent a total now of more than 20 hours testifying before various congressional committees about it, and the Democrats in the House decided to hold him in contempt for telling the truth and refusing to break the law.

If this doesn’t strike you as normal behavior, that’s because it is decidedly abnormal behavior.

As we’ve said many times before here at the Campaign Update, nothing the Democrats do is normal or organic. Everything they do and say in public is pre-planned, coordinated with their media toadies, and highly scripted, all designed to reflect their narrative of the day. This is why Rush Limbaugh is able to cobble together those hilarious montage clips of dozens of Democrats/talking heads/fake reporters using exactly the same words on some given issue 2-3 times every week. He could do it every day if his staff had the time.

Yesterday’s narrative, for example, was “we’re in a constitutional crisis,” which happens to be true since the Democrats, led by San Fran Nan and Jabba the Nadler, have worked very hard over the past couple of months to create such a crisis out of whole cloth. After his committee held its kangaroo court vote to hold Barr in “contempt of congress” Wednesday afternoon, Nadler promptly rushed to the nearest camera to declare that “we are in a constitutional crisis.”

As if on cue – because it was on cue – every Democrat spokesman on TV, every fake host on CNN and MSNBC, every news anchor on the major networks and every political writer at the major fake newspapers began using those exact words in all of their reporting. This narrative continued through Thursday as well, along with the incredibly stupid non-story about Trump’s losing a bunch of money back in the 1980s/early 1990s, a story he told himself in his book “The Art of the Comeback” and on his TV show “The Apprentice.”

To understand why they behave the way they do, you must understand the Democrat hive-mindset. Simply put, Democrats believe they are entitled to political power. They believe they are smarter than you are, they believe they are more moral and caring and compassionate than you are, and because they believe those things, they also believe they have the right to tell you how to live your lives.

Just a decade ago, they thought they had consolidated that power and the ability to dictate everything you do every day on a permanent basis. They’d just elected America’s Worst Mistake, Barack Hussein Obama, and empowered him with massive majority control of both houses of congress. They had shoved through a massive fake ‘stimulus’ package designed to nothing but expand the scope and scale of an array of federal regulatory agencies, had their EPA working on regulating your drainage ditches and backyard ponds, had their congress extending those 6-month unemployment benefits to a near-permanent entitlement, and were working on a cap and trade system on carbon that would bankrupt whatever was left of Obama’s economy and a bill to nationalize the nation’s healthcare system.

All was bliss and kisses in Democrat fantasy land. It was 2009, and the narrative then, repeated endlessly by all the talking heads and fake reporters, was that the Democrats now had created a “permanent majority” in our country, and America was thus entering its “new normal.”

And here’s the thing that has the Democrat so perpetually enraged today: They believed their own bullshit. (Pardon my language.) They do that all the time, actually – see the whole “Russia Collusion” fantasy play as the latest grand example.

But they are all so enraged today – and become more enraged with each passing hour – because they still believe that bullshit. They still believe they are the chosen ones, the ones to dictate to all you little people out there in Flyover Country, the ones who are entitled to power.

That’s the mindset that led Barack Obama and James Comey and John Brennan and Peter Strzok and Andrew McCabe and Sally Yates and all manner of other high Obama officials to engage in a plot to fix the 2016 elections and then to try and fail to execute a coup d’etat on American soil. They did all of that because they really, truly did believe they were entitled to do it, and that the Pantsuit Princess was entitled to the presidency.

They created Antifa, a violent terrorist organization, in response to Trump’s election because they believe they are entitled to power. They created the Mueller Witch Hunt because they believe they are entitled to power. They’ve created this constitutional crisis because they believe they are entitled to power.

Between today and November 2020, they will continued to ramp up the insanity and violence because they believe they are entitled to power. And after Donald Trump is re-elected, the Democrats and their media toadies will still continue to ramp up the insanity.

Until someone stops them. Until the people who committed all of these bad acts start being prosecuted and going to prison. A lot of them. And if that never happens, if the day never comes when they know they will be subject to prosecution for committing these seditious, treasonous acts against our country, the Democrats and their media toadies will keep ramping up the insanity until they have whipped our nation into another civil war.

These are not people who can be reasoned with, because they are not rational people. They must be defeated and they must be stopped. If William Barr and the Department of Justice are not up to this task, then God help us.

That is all.

The Media Mounts a Final Desperate Effort to Protect Barack Obama

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

The fake news media is going into overdrive. – Over the last 48 hours, we have now had the three fakest fake news outlets push their toadyism on behalf of the panicking Democrats and Deep State to a new level. On Wednesday night, the New York Times put the deep state spin on the Obama FBI’s spying operations against the Trump Campaign; Thursday night saw the release of CNN’s latest fake poll, a desperate effort to prop up the flagging campaign of Irish Bob O’Rourke; and Friday afternoon, the reliable old Washington Post jumped in with an op/ed from the execrable hack Paul Waldman.

Waldman’s piece is an obvious effort to set the narrative for the deep state as Attorney General William Barr pursues his own investigations into the origins of the Obama FBI/DOJ/CIA spying operations against the Trump Campaign. The goal of this narrative is to smear Barr – who, it is now obvious, is our nation’s first real, functional attorney general concerned about the rule of law in over a decade – in an effort to render any findings he makes as illegitimate, nothing but the work of Donald Trump weaponizing the Department of Justice to go after his opponents.

It is, in other words, the ultimate case of the media/Democrat favorite tactic of Projection: The tactic of accusing your opponents of doing exactly the things you yourself are in fact guilty of having done.

This is the beginning of a desperate effort by the Democrat/media propaganda complex to provide one final layer of cover for the head honcho who actually did deploy the FBI and DOJ and CIA to attack his opponents. It’s an operation designed to protect the guy who oversaw the entire operation and actively guided it – America’s Worst Mistake, Barack Hussein Obama. For those of us who have been paying close attention to all of the information that has come out into the public domain, Obama’s fingerprints have always been all over this illegal spying operation mounted against the opposition party’s presidential campaign.

The spying on the Trump Campaign was mounted as a counterintelligence operation by the FBI, recommended first by CIA Director John Brennan, authorized by FBI Director James Comey and managed by Deputy Chief of the Counterintelligence Division Peter Strzok. As a matter of routine, the President of the United States is given weekly briefings of the FBI’s counterintelligence operations. At the very least, Obama was fully aware of everything that was going on, a reality borne out in myriad text messages between Strzok and his paramour Lisa Page.

All of this and so much more is a matter of public record already – it is not in doubt. The fake news media has done everything it can to keep the public living in blissful ignorance about it all, but more and more Americans become aware every day, and that trend will speed up massively with the release of the pending Horowitz reports and the coming declassification of all of the underlying documents by President Trump, which will also begin to take place in the coming weeks.

So Barr must be smeared – it’s the media’s only remaining shield for Obama His Own Self. And it isn’t just Barr – other key players must and will be smeared as well.

You should expect the Post or the Times to quickly begin mounting a similar smear campaign against DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, since he is supposed to issue his own reports on a) the rampant Obama-era abuse of the FISA process, and b) the leaking habits of ex-FBI Director and current Teen Drama Queen James Comey in the coming weeks. Why? Because all the perceived enemies of the Deep State/Democrat Party must be smeared. Their reputations must be besmirched as a matter of protecting the media’s puppet masters.

What about Senate Judiciary Chairman Lindsey Graham? You should expect to soon see the media mounting a smear campaign against him as well, since he is promising to use his committee to mount its own investigation into the origins of the spying operation. Graham, a life-long bachelor, has long been the subject of rumors that he is a closeted gay man. Already, we are seeing despicable cretins like Rosie O’Donnell, Alec Baldwin and Chelsea Handler launching gay smears at him via their own Twitter accounts. You should expect to see the Usual Suspect media outlets – The Post, the Times, CNN, MSNBC, etc. – to soon start running stories pushing rumors about Graham, stories they would never even consider running about any Democrat.

Yes, it is despicable. Yes, it is beneath contempt. But hey, this the fake news media and Democrats we’re talking about here. You expected something else?

That is all.

The New York Times Continues Providing Cover for the Deep State

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Old New York Times Slogan: All the news that’s fit to print.

New New York Times Slogan: All the leaks that support the Deep State Narrative.

This has become so laughably predictable that you can’t even take it seriously anymore. Thursday afternoon, the news fakers at the New York Times published a piece – of course based solely on leaks from some deep state Obama holdover within the FBI – that basically admits that the FBI was doing what William Barr keeps telling us it was doing back in 2016, which was: SPYING on the Trump Campaign, and attempting to entrap its people into the commission of some sort of crime.

That’s what it was. It was a counterintelligence operation run out of the FBI, an operation that had been referred to the FBI and authorized by then-CIA Director John Brennan. Furthermore, it was a counterintelligence operation run by the FBI, and about which then-President of the United States Barack Obama was fully aware, since he was given weekly briefings about all counterintelligence operations run by the FBI.

The New York Times just now seems to be catching up on all of this stuff that we’ve all known about for well over a year now. Funny how that works.

Of course, the reason why this particular fake newspaper is publishing this particular story at this particular time is so that it can put its particular spin on it at the behest of the Obama-leftover skunks and snakes who still infest the FBI and DOJ. The reason why this particular story – about the FBI illegally spying on the presidential campaign of the opposition party and trying to entrap its people on foreign soil – at this particular time is because everyone now knows that a) it has become one of the issues DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz is investigating, and b) the Attorney General himself has let it be known that he also has U.S. attorney staff looking into it.

In other words, the Deep State and its mouth organs in the fake news media, led by the New York Times, are panicking and desperately trying to set and sanitize the public narrative in advance of those investigations. The Times, of course, is very careful not to call the FBI’s activities “spying”, portraying the spying operation as one that “shows the level of alarm inside the F.B.I. during a frantic period when the bureau was trying to determine the scope of Russia’s attempts to disrupt the 2016 election”.

Rrrrrriiiiiigggghhhhht. If the FBI were indeed so “alarmed” about efforts by those nasty ol’ Russians to make contacts with members of the Trump campaign, why didn’t the FBI make an appointment to meet with the candidate himself, along with his senior staff, and warn them about those concerns? This simple action that would have given these U.S. citizens a head’s up was apparently beyond the ken of these intrepid law enforcement heroes; thus, they took Brennan’s advice and mounted a highly complex, secret operation that was clearly designed to entrap unsuspecting members of Trump’s team, like George Papadopoulous, who is the subject of this particular Times cover job for the Deep State.

The particular entrapment op in question on this particular Times piece is an episode in which longtime CIA operative Stefan Halper deployed a honey pot code named (I kid you not) Azra Turk to see if she could get Papadopolous to make any incriminating admissions over drinks at a London bar.

Here’s the narrative the Times/FBI skunks put on this story:

The woman had set up the meeting to discuss foreign policy issues. But she was actually a government investigator posing as a research assistant, according to people familiar with the operation. The F.B.I. sent her to London as part of the counterintelligence inquiry opened that summer to better understand the Trump campaign’s links to Russia.

The American government’s affiliation with the woman, who said her name was Azra Turk, is one previously unreported detail of an operation that has become a political flash point in the face of accusations by President Trump and his allies that American law enforcement and intelligence officials spied on his campaign to undermine his electoral chances. Last year, he called it “Spygate.”

So, this CIA operative working for another CIA operative trying to entrap a U.S. citizen on foreign soil is portrayed as a “government investigator posing as a research assistant.” And don’t you love the spin the writers put on the spying operation, that it “has become a political flash point in the face of accusations by President Trump” that he was – guess what? – being SPIED on.  And yes, he did call it “Spygate” – because he was being SPIED on.

My goodness. How do these people sleep at night, knowing that they are nothing mouthpieces for the worst elements of our society?

Disgusting hacks.

That is all.

SPOTLIGHT: The Week Spygate Started To Unravel

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

I’m old enough to remember when the fake news media treated the Fake Trump Dossier as if it were the holy grail. – And yet, by the end of this week just past, old Watergate fossil Bob Woodward had joined the New York Times, Michael Isikoff and other media luminaries in an obvious coordinated effort to start covering their butts as the thing begins to unravel:

This was just one of many events from the week just past that indicate the tables are beginning to turn on the Deep State Cabal that worked within DOJ and the FBI to fix the 2016 election and tried to effect a coup d’etat to remove President Trump from office after that initial effort had failed. Here are some other significant revelations that took place throughout the week.

Florida Republican Matt Gaetz, appearing on Judge Jeanine Piro’s show, had this gem:

We should all keep in mind that many people in our national news media were not just innocent bystanders in the conspiracy to fix the 2016 election: They were in fact active participants and must be held accountable just as the Comeys and Brennans and Strzoks must be held to account for their actions.

Then we had this, from Tom Fitton at Judicial Watch:

The Weiner laptop is not the real story here – anyone paying attention already knew about all of that. The real story is that the FBI found many of the emails the Pantsuit Princess deleted from her illegal server on computers in Barack Obama’s executive office. Just one more item of evidence pointing the finger at the very top.

Keep in mind that the spying operation on the Trump campaign – “Crossfire Hurricane” – was mounted as a counterintelligence operation at the FBI, and Barack Obama received a weekly briefing on all counterintelligence issues. He was no innocent bystander in all of this, either.

Next up, two GOP senators reveal that the spying went on long after the election was over.:

We already knew all of this but the important aspect here is that the letter from Grassley and Johnson kicks off a formal discovery process in the two committees they chair.

And then this happened…

At the end of the week, it was revealed that the wife of former Mike Pence Chief of Staff Josh Pitcock actually worked for FBI Super Duper Hotshot Peter Strzok throughout the entire spying operation and well into the days of the Mueller Witch Hunt.  I swear I don’t make this stuff up.:

So what does it all mean? It means that one of the big functions of the Mueller operation was to provide an umbrella with which to cover up all the bad stuff that was done at the FBI and DOJ by the Obama people. Now that the Witch Hunt has closed up shop, the cover umbrella is no longer functional, and the real information about the real bad actors is slowly starting to trickle out into the public domain.

The situation for all the bad actors is further complicated now by the sudden realization that it is looking as if William Barr is a real Attorney General who is focused on doing his actual job, and not just another DC establishment hack who will do his best to cover all of this up. We must hope that appearance is not deceiving.

This was a big, important week, folks. Expect more big and important weeks to follow.

That is all.

Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson Lob a Bombshell over to William Barr

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Well, that’s kind of a big deal.  – The fake news media and Teen Drama Queen James Comey will no doubt squeal that they shouldn’t use that bad word, “spying”, but Senators Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson disagree. Grassley, who chairs the Senate Finance Committee and Johnson, Chairman of the Homeland Security Committee, sent a joint letter over to Attorney General William Barr on Thursday in which they detail their concerns that the Obama-era Deep State Cabal within the DOJ and FBI continued to spy on the Trump operation after it had failed to fix the election for the Pantsuit Princess.

The letter cites texts between FBI Super-Duper Agent Peter Strzok and his illicit lover, FBI lawyer Lisa Page as evidence that efforts to entrap Trump officials in situations that could be construed as being improper was still ongoing weeks after the election had come and gone. The letter also notes the vast array of illegal leaks being published by the fake news media during the transition, leaks containing information that almost surely came from someone within DOJ or the FBI.  Here’s a key passage:

Additionally, we note that a number of news outlets have reported sensitive information related to the investigation into alleged Russian collusion with the Trump campaign. Those reports have revealed sensitive information focusing on the FBI sending informants to meet withTrump advisors; a warrant to surveil Carter Page; and the United Kingdom signal intelligence agency briefing former CIA Director John Brennan on alleged communications between Trump’s campaign and Russian officials, among other things. 11 Notably, the Justice Department Inspector General’s review of the Clinton investigation found “profound concerns about the volume and extent of unauthorized media contacts by FBI personnel…” 12 It appears the same happened during the Russia investigation. Leaks to the media about ongoing investigations undermine the ability of investigators to properly investigate. Moreover, sensitive leaks to the media while members of congress performing constitutionally mandated oversight are kept in the dark is unacceptable.

The senators, both of whose committees have oversight over the activities of the DOJ, go on to order Barr to work with their staff to schedule a joint hearing in the near future to provide testimony to the committees about the following:

  1. Please describe the nature and extent of your review of FBI surveillance of theTrump Campaign, President-elect Trump’s transition staff, Vice Presidentelect Pence’s transition staff, President Trump’s staff, and Vice PresidentPence’s staff, including your efforts to determine whether that surveillance was adequately predicated.
  2. How many counter-intelligence briefings were provided to the Trump and Pence transition staffs prior to Inauguration Day? Please list the dates, all agencies involved, and each official that represented those agencies at the briefings.
  3. Many of the FBI employees involved in these activities are no longer employed by the federal government. How will your review obtain information needed from these individuals?

Now, this is all a bit of well-orchestrated Washington, DC kabuki theater, of course. Anyone who has been paying attention to the information that has come to light about the Obama Administrations efforts to spy on the Trump camp has been aware for well over a year that those efforts continued not only through the transition, but that Obama holdovers at DOJ and the FBI kept it all going well after Trump’s inauguration.

Hell, that’s essentially what the entire Mueller Witch Hunt was all about. At the end of the day, it was little more than a Deep State-sanctioned intelligence-gathering operation designed to entrap Trump officials and provide the Democrats with both a roadmap to impeachment and opposition research to use during the 2020 campaign.

But now that Mueller’s operation has folded up shop, it’s finally time for the tables to turn. The letter from Grassley and Johnson demanding a hearing is just a part of the process necessary to start building the public record and case against the real law-breakers. You can be sure that Barr is well aware of the Obama conspiracy to fix the 2016 election and then find a way to depose Trump after he was elected. He was aware of all of that when he wrote his famous 2018 piece slamming the legitimacy of the entire special counsel process, in fact.

So this is not necessarily a “bombshell” for Barr or the few among us who have been paying attention to the case being built against the real bad actors, but for the 99.9% of the population who have been letting the fake news media distract them with all those fake news shiny objects, it is. This letter is a big deal, because it is the trigger that formally kicks off a process of revealing real information to the public through these two key committees.

That’s how this game ultimately works in Washington: Fake justice is very loud, quick and in-your-face on the 24-hour cable channels; but the wheels of real justice turn slowly, inexorably, and take place mainly behind the scenes.

That is all.

The Fake News Media Proves to be Exactly Who We Thought They Were

The Afternoon Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

If you expected the denizens of our fake national news media to accept the truth of the Mueller Report after its release today and move on to focusing on real news, well, think again. If you expected fake reporters who have gotten literally everything about this entire fiasco wrong for two solid years to do a mea culpa and promise to do better going forward, well, sorry.

If you expected the talking heads at CNN and MSNBC to engage in a little sober on-air introspection and begin the process of analyzing how it was that their repeated cocksure pronouncements that “Mueller has got the goods” and the always-handy “this is the beginning of the end for Donald Trump” could have been so utterly wrong for so damn long, well, not gonna happen.

Instead of any of those things that any honest, thoughtful person would do in such a situation, we got exactly what we should have all expected we would get from these despicable hacks, which was a full-blown on-air meltdown of epic proportions. The hysteria still-ongoing at CNN and MSNBC should be recorded for posterity and presented in every journalism school in America as the starkest examples of what does not amount to responsible, sober journalism in any way, shape or form.

The display is despicable. It is disgusting. It is demented. But hey, these talking heads are all Democrat activists, so what else would we expect?

Here are just a handful of out-takes from today’s TV news festivities, courtesy of the folks at NewsBusters.com:

CNN “legal analyst” Jeffrey Toobin:  “it sure looks like” the President is guilty of “obstruction of justice to me” because “every obstruction of justice prosecution is based on an attempt that doesn’t succeed.” Holy crap. For the record, the Mueller Report makes no finding of obstruction of justice, exactly as AG William Barr has said.

CNN’s John King follows with advocacy for impeachment based on, well, nothing real.: “If people actually read this as opposed to put out their quick statements that they put out, so far what you’re seeing from most Republicans is this is great. The President’s innocent. Totally exonerated. It’s time to move on. Well, if the Republicans actually read this, you know, that’s up for the political community to decide if there’s a threshold for impeachment.”

ABC’s John Karl knows better than Robert Mueller as to what does and does not amount to “collusion”: Ultimately, the conclusion here in this special counsel is it did not rise to the level of a violation of the law.” Karl, who is not a lawyer, declared, “But there is significant contact here. You might even say collusion.” My goodness.

Back at CNN, fake Republican Anna Navarro throws a hissy fit.: “William Barr is a political hack in attorney general’s clothing. It’s simply disgusting.” Later on she tweeted that “Barr looks like a teddy bear. But he is complicit. He is duplicitous. He is disloyal to the Constitution. He is in dereliction of duty.” Somebody forgot to take her meds this morning.

Over at MSNBC, ex-CIA Director John Brennan is back to his old tricks.: “The amount of information that relates to collusion and obstruction activity is really quite extensive in this report.” *sigh*

Also at MSNBC, formerly-sane person Nicolle Wallace went off on a surreal rant in which she smeared Barr as “shill” and a “human shield” for the President, until she was reduced to repeatedly crying, “Why? Why?”

That’s just a few small snippets of the full-fledged implosion taking place on the nation’s TV screens today. Expect it to continue for a week or two, as CNN and MSNBC frantically try to keep their precious Russia Collusion narrative alive in order to prop up their flagging ratings.

But all bad things must come to an eventual end, and this is really the end of the Mueller Witch Hunt for all intents and purposes. The fake media won’t be able to keep this corpse of a false narrative reanimated for much longer before it is simply subsumed by accumulating current events.

If nothing else, today’s events proved conclusively that our fake news media is, in the words of the great Dennis Green, exactly who we thought they were:
