Barr Drops More Bombs During Senate Testimony

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Oh my, oh my, oh my, my, my, my, my. – This stunning exchange between Democrat Sen. Jeanne Shaheen and Attorney General William Barr took place during Barr’s Wednesday morning testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee:

Barr: “I think spying on a political campaign is a big deal.”

Sen. Shaheen: “You’re not suggesting, though, that spying occurred?”

Barr: “I think spying did occur. Yes, I think spying did occur. But the question is whether it was predicated, adequately predicated, and I’m not suggesting it wasn’t adequately predicated. But I’d need to explore that…I think there was probably a failure among the group of leaders,” Barr said, adding that he thinks the FBI “is an outstanding organization.” He continued, however: “I feel I have an obligation to make sure government power is not abused.””

Boom. Time to lawyer up, James Comey.

When asked why he would go down this investigative road when his predecessor, Jeff Sessions, refused to do so, Barr’s remarks got even better:

“Well, for the same reason we’re worried about foreign influence in elections. We want to make sure that — I think spying on a political campaign is a big deal. It’s a big deal…The generation I grew up in which is the Vietnam War, a period, you know, people were all concerned about spying on anti-war people and so forth by the government. And there were a lot of rules put in place to make sure that there’s an adequate basis before our law enforcement agencies get involved in political surveillance…I’m not suggesting that those rules were violated, but I think it’s important to look at that. And I’m not just — I’m not talking about the FBI necessarily, but intelligence agencies more broadly.”

Boom, again. Time to lawyer up, John Brennan and James Clapper, if you hadn’t already done so.

Asked about Barr’s remarks by reporters as he was leaving the White House, President Trump used the “T” word again to describe the efforts of the deep state cabal within the DOJ and FBI that attempted to fix the 2016 election and then worked to overturn its results:

“It was an illegal investigation. It was started illegally. Everything about it was crooked,” Trump claimed. “This was an attempted coup, and it was treasonous. This was an attempted takedown of a president, and we beat them. We beat them.”

Boom.

That is all. What more to you need?

Barr Delivers Off-topic Bombshells at Budget Hearing

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Those loud noises you hear are the sounds of American liberal heads exploding. – Despite being the target of a clownish witch hunt of his own, Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu was indirectly elected to serve a record fifth term in that job yesterday in Israel’s parliamentary elections. His conservative Likud Party in fact received its strongest percentage of the vote since the 2003 elections, winning 35 seats in the 120 seat legislature, where it will be able to form an alliance with other conservative parties who together won 30 seats.

All the “experts” had of course predicted that Netanyahu would be brought down by the media-promoted witch hunt in which politically-motivated prosecutors threaten to indict him for allegedly accepting illegal gifts from leaders of other nations and his wife for filing to be reimbursed by the government for the costs of holding state dinners at the couple’s modest home. This kind prosecuturial nonsense was rewarded by voters with a significant shift in favor of Netanyahu and other conservative parties when compared to the results of the country’s previous three elections. Just wait until you hear all the liberal heads exploding here in the U.S. when the same kind of backlash takes place in our country’s own 2020 elections. It will be glorious.

Meanwhile, here in America, the New York Times just kept on faking the news for its demented leftist reader base, declaring these very positive results to be a “setback” for Netanyahu, based not on the actual election results, but by always-inaccurate exit polls conducted by fake news media organizations.  I swear I don’t make this stuff up. Who could?

Do we finally have a real attorney general on the job? – Bob Barr certainly made all the right noises during his testimony before the House Appropriations Committee yesterday.

In what was supposed to be a hearing about his department’s budget for Fiscal Year 2021, Barr was of course repeatedly questioned by craven Democrats who have no interest in actually doing their job about the Mueller report and when he plans to release it. During the course of that off-topic questioning by rank demagogues, the Attorney General delivered a wealth of extremely interesting information:

  • On the Mueller report, he said he would likely be able to release a properly-redacted version of it within the next week, and even hilariously promised to color-code the redactions for Democrats who aren’t capable of reading or thinking above a third-grade level.
  • He spelled out four areas of information he would redact consistent with statutes that have been on the books for decades:  1) grand jury information; 2) information related to U.S. intelligence-gathering; 3) information that could compromise ongoing investigations; and 4) information that could violate the privacy of individuals who were not direct subjects of the Mueller witch hunt.
  • Regarding his four-page summary of the Mueller report that was released two weeks ago, Barr revealed that he offered Mueller the opportunity to review and comment on the summary prior to its release, an offer Mueller refused to accept.
  • Barr told the committee that he anticipates that DOJ Inspector General Micheal Horowitz will finally, at long last, be wrapping up his own investigation into the rampant abuse of the FISA process by the deep state cabal inside his department sometime in May. Yay.

All of that is fine and good, but then came the really big news:

  • The Attorney General informed the committee that he has initiated an investigation into how, why and when the FBI decided to begin a counterintelligence investigation into the Trump Campaign, which we know actually began in late 2015 despite FBI and media lies claiming it only started in July, 2016.

If true – and there is no apparent reason not to take Barr at his word at this point in time – this is a very big deal, because any honest and thorough investigation into that particular subject will inevitably reveal that all of these Obama-era DOJ and FBI officials and their media co-conspirators have been lying to congress, investigators and the public about all of this for two and a half years now.

Further, any honest and thorough investigation into this subject will inevitably ensnare James Comey, Peter Strzok, Andrew McCabe, Lisa Page, Bruce and Nellie Ohr, Sally Yates and even Obama CIA Director John Brennan in its web, in addition to many others. Such an investigation would also inevitably reveal that Attorney General Loretta Lynch was intimately aware of everything that was happening, as well as then-President Barack Hussein Obama, given that every president receives a weekly briefing on U.S. counterintelligence operations.

Sadly, here is what Barr’s revelation also most likely reveals: That Salt Lake City U.S. Attorney John Huber and his staff of hundreds of investigators have most likely not been doing a damn thing on any of this over the last 18 months. It was the fall of 2017 when ex-Attorney General Jeff Sessions used Huber as a lame excuse for his refusal to appoint a second special counsel to look into all of this, claiming then that he had authorized Huber to conduct this exact investigation. Apparently, that was just a dodge by an attorney general who was intent on doing nothing, and did nothing well.

As I said, we have no reason not to take Barr at his word at this point in time, and we can always hope he is not engaging in a Sessions-style dodge now. Hopefully, he won’t give us any reason to start doubting his word in the months to come.

Our nation needs justice here, real justice.  Demands it, in fact.

That is all.

The Misplaced Priorities of the FBI and DOJ Protect the Deep State Seditionists

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

But…but…but wouldn’t that be double jeopardy? Answer: No.  – Corrupt Cook County State’s Attorney Kimberly Foxx and a corrupt state judge can fix things for Jussie Smollett at the state level, but there isn’t a thing they can do to help him out with federal crimes he may have committed in his effort to smear President Donald Trump and his millions of supporters.

Before he claimed to have been attacked by two MAGA-cap-wearing thugs – a claim the Chicago PD investigated and determined to have been laughably false – Smollett may have committed the federal crime of mail fraud. A week prior to that alleged assault, a threatening letter arrived at the offices of “Empire”, complete with “MAGA” smeared across the envelope.

Investigators suspect Smollett mailed the letter to himself in his pathological efforts to get himself a raise by convincing the TV series’ producers that he had become a widely-recognized star. You seriously cannot make this stuff up.

This would be a classic case of mail fraud, a federal crime for which Paul Manafort is, in part, spending the next 5 years in prison. Some legal talking heads are speculating further that Smollett could even be prosecuted under the federal hate crimes laws, given the Chicago PD’s belief that the fake assault he planned and paid for (with a personal check, no less) amounts to the commission of a hate crime against himself.  Awesome.

The President himself let it be known early Thursday morning that the DOJ  and FBI are actually on this particular case for once:

Which embarrassment are we talking about here, Mr. President – Smollett, Chicago’s corrupt politics, or the FBI and DOJ? – It’s a great question, isn’t it?

No doubt it’s a good thing that federal investigators will be trying to bring some real justice down around this despicable actor’s head, but it’s pretty hard to celebrate that without noting at the same time the ongoing, abject failure of the DOJ to assert similar justice on those who spent all of 2016 trying to fix the presidential election and all of 2017 and 2018 attempting to execute a coup d’etat.

It seems the FBI and DOJ have all sorts of assets to dedicate to chasing a 3rd-tier actor or rich parents who bribe universities to admit their under-performing children – an investigation to which the FBI bragged it had dedicated no less than 300(!) agents. But when it comes to indicting and raiding the homes and perp-walking deep state snakes like James Comey, Sally Yates, Andrew McCabe and Peter Strzok, well, suddenly they apparently can’t be bothered to lift a finger.

And what of John Brennan, the Obama-era CIA Director and living embodiment of “Homeland” character Dar Adal? Here is a guy who has leveraged his experience as a former spymaster into a lucrative “analyst” gig with MSNBC, from which perch he has spent the last two years accusing the sitting President of committing treason.

Talk about projection – this guy was involved in this deep state coup up to his wrinkled neck. It has been public knowledge for well over a year that he in fact was involved in the authorization of the use of the fake Trump Dossier to obtain the FISA warrants needed to spy on the Trump Campaign and Transition team. Senator Rand Paul apparently just discovered this reality on Wednesday, and issued this tweet in response:

Yes, he should be subpoenaed to testify under oath – although he would not doubt just lie to congress as he has done multiple times in the past.

But more than that, he should be under a focused investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice and the FBI that it oversees. If we have a legitimate, respectable system of justice, he and all the others named above and many more should be the subject of grand jury investigations involving massive dedication of FBI resources, just like all those celebrity parents were. In “Homeland”, the Dar Adal character ended up in prison. It’s fun to envision his real-life personification joining him there, but there is precious little visible evidence that anyone at DOJ is working to make that happen.

Our President just survived a slow-rolling coup attempt guided by Gestapo Chief, er, “Special Counsel” Robert Mueller. The people who led that attempt must not be allowed to walk away from it unscathed by the justice system.

So, yes, by all means, let the DOJ go after Jussie Smollett and toss him in the federal pen if he is indeed guilty.  But let’s not pretend that doing that should be the DOJ’s highest priority.

There are so many bigger fish to fry, and it’s long past time we saw someone who works for William Barr heating up the grease.

That is all.

The Democrat/Media Propaganda Complex Moves the Goal Posts in the Wake of Mueller’s Failed Coup

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

The talkin’ points, they are a-changin’… – Ok, so here’s the drill: Now that Robert Mueller has failed to carry out the coup d’etat that the Democrats and the entirety of our fake news media have hoped and dreamed of for two solid years now, the goal posts have shifted.

Now, Robert Mueller is a bad guy, a guy who both Bug-eyed Adam Schiff and Jabba The Nadler have promised to subpoena to appear before their own committees, which will now lead the Witch Hunt into the future at the behest of San Fran Nan and the editorial boards at the New York Times and Washington Post. Furthermore, the Attorney General of the United States – William Barr – and his Deputy Attorney General, Rod Rosenstein, are now the two newest subjects to be portrayed as Russian agents by our fake news media. A regular Boris Badenov and Natasha Fatale (all you Millennials will have to Google that reference), these two.

That nasty odor you found wafting from your television screens anytime you were tuned into MSNBC or CNN this weekend was a combination of sulphur and desperation. These people are literally doing the devil’s work against our nation’s survival, and their rising panic level came across the tube in spades as the weekend progressed, peaking on Sunday afternoon with the realization that Bob Mueller, the man on whom they had counted to be their collective savior, turned out to be not quite up to the job.

So the talking points had to shift, the goal posts must now move, and they all, acting almost as a single evil organism (I smell a remake of “The Blob” coming soon), latched onto the insignificant fact that Mueller did not outright “clear” President Donald Trump of “obstruction of justice” as their next thin lifeline. Since Mueller did not “clear” Trump, but the Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General (a Trump hater who we now know without any doubt at all literally attempted to frame the President) did, why, they must be acting on behalf of PUTIN!!!!!!

See the logic? No? Ok, neither do I.

Look, these are Democrats and Democrat media activists we’re talking about here – logic has no place in anything they do. If these people were vampires (and how can we really be sure that Brian Stelter and Katie Tur aren’t?), logic would be their garlic and truth their sunlight.

But, just for the sake of argument, the glaring problems with their new line of talking points are obvious:

  • Robert Mueller was acting as a prosecutor. Prosecutors do not “clear” people – they either find evidence of wrongdoing that would support a prosecution, or they do not. Mueller did not.
  • The entire case for “obstruction” against President Trump originates with a presumption that he fired bad cop James Comey – an action even Rosenstein supported, and which every Democrat in Washington had called for – in order to prevent Comey from investigating Trump’s “collusion” with Putin.
  • But Mueller found zero evidence that any such “collusion” took place – said so right there in his report.
  • So, how in the hell would anyone “obstruct justice” by trying to cover up a crime that, by the prosecutor’s own admission, DID NOT HAPPEN?

Thus, the lack of any evidence of obstruction is not a mere opinion expressed by Barr and Rosenstein, it is a metaphysical fact.  Period. Hard stop.

Let’s just close with film of the celebration in the White House last night…

That is all. For now.

Face it: Obama’s DOJ and FBI Were Criminal Enterprises

The Afternoon Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

If you thought the winding down of the fake, failed “investigations” by Robert Mueller and the Senate Intelligence Committee would lead to a similar winding down of efforts by your fake news media outlets to keep the whole “Russia Collusion” fantasy play alive, well, think again.

If anything, the various fake news media outlets have actually begun doubling down on their news-faking enterprises in recent days. CBS is leading the way today with the release of outtakes from the powder puff interview set to air on “60 Minutes” Sunday evening with deep state skunk Andrew McCabe. You all remember McCabe, right? He’s the ex-Deputy Director of the FBI who was fired about year ago for repeatedly lying to internal DOJ investigators about his habit of illegally leaking classified information to various fake media outlets.

See how this incestuous relationship works? Think CBS will make the slightest effort delve into that glaring conflict of interest during this interview? Want to buy some oceanfront property I own out in Central Texas? The potential questions here are endless, but none of them will be asked by “60 Minutes”.

Note the headline on the CBS piece linked above, because it is very important:  “McCabe says he ordered the obstruction of justice probe of President Trump”. That very admission proves that President Donald Trump inherited upper echelons at the FBI and Department of Justice that were in fact criminal enterprises.

As Mollie Hemingway, writing at The Federalist, pointed out in January, a butt-covering piece dumped out by the news fakers at the New York Times late on Friday, January 18 basically admitted as much:

“Admitting there is no actual evidence for their probe into whether Trump ‘worked for the Russians,’ FBI officials instead cited their foreign policy differences with him, his lawful firing of bungling FBI Director James Comey, and alarm that he accurately revealed to the American public that he was told he wasn’t under investigation by the FBI, when they preferred to hide that fact.”

In that same piece, Hemingway further pointed out that CNN had also made damaging admissions about the traitorous motivations of McCabe and his fellow FBI cronies:

Just last month [December, 2018], CNN reported that top FBI officials opened an investigation into Trump after the lawful firing of Comey because Trump “needed to be reined in,” a shocking admission of abuse of power by our nation’s top law enforcement agency.

In other words, your Federal Bureau of Investigation, on orders from Andrew McCabe, engaged in an “obstruction of justice” investigation in retaliation for President Trump’s legal and well-justified firing of the utterly corrupt and incompetent FBI Director James Comey.

But McCabe is not the only traitorous skunk in this drama. It is also vitally important that everyone keep in mind that he was at the time working under the full supervision of then-Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, because the worthless AG Jeff Sessions had stupidly and needlessly recused himself.  Rosenstein not only fully approved of McCabe’s retaliatory act, he also allegedly offered to wear a wire in meetings with the duly-elected President of the United States of America in order to try to build a case for either impeachment or removing him from office under the guise of the 25th Amendment.

Even worse, when reports of the DOJ/FBI criminal enterprise began to leak out in the spring of 2017, Rosenstein then acted in concert with the fired Comey to dummy-up (through Comey’s illegal leaks to the very cooperative news-fakers at the New York Times) the very thin justification he used for the appointment of Special Counsel Robert Mueller, whose best buddies in life turn out to be – wait for it – Rod Rosenstein and James Comey!

Breathtaking.

When honest historians catalog the events of the past two years, they will record that, when Donald Trump assumed the office of the presidency on January 20, 2017, he was faced with a cabal of outright criminals in the upper management of both the DOJ and the FBI who were conspiring with willing media outlets to take him down. That is of course assuming that any such thing as an “honest historian”, already an endangered species, still exists in our country decades from now.

In the meantime, it appears that pretty much all of the participants in this Deep State cabal have been fired or otherwise removed from any line of authority.  The lone exception is Rosenstein, who announced last month his plans to leave shortly after William Barr assumes the Attorney General’s office, which will happen in a matter of days.

But firings and resignations aren’t enough: The ultimate restoration of an impartial, one-tiered system of justice in our country requires that the bad actors in this criminal conspiracy to bring down a presidency be prosecuted and punished.

We can only hope Mr. Barr is up to the task.

That is all.

Tuesday Was a Huge Policy Day For President Trump

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

I’m in a hurry this morning as I rush to head out for vacation through Christmas day (Campaign Updates will be sporadic through that time), so this will just be a series of short takes on news that everyone should be aware of today.

First, Tuesday was a huge day from a policy standpoint for the Trump Administration:

This was the most important policy news from Tuesday, regardless of what the fake news media tries to tell you. – The Trump Administration is planning to reverse the insane Obama-era school discipline rules that led directly to the mass school shooting in Parkland, Florida early this year. Here’s a link to the piece I wrote on this subject on February 25:  “How an Insane Liberal Money Grab Led to the Parkland Shootings”.

This was the second most important policy news from Tuesday. – By a vote of 87-12, the Senate passed a prison reform bill written by Utah Senator Mike Lee and endorsed by President Trump. This is long overdue and much needed.

This was the third most important policy news from Tuesday. – The Trump Administration bans bump stocks. Before anyone starts haranguing me about the 2nd Amendment, let me stop you from wasting your time.  Bump stocks are toys. The 2nd Amendment does not guarantee us a right to keep and bear toys. Get over it.

Personal Note:  I just love the Chuck Schumer pressers where Patty Murray and Dick Durbin stands behind him doing their dead-level best to look like actual serious people.  Tremendous entertainment value there.

Ocasio Ortez Watch: Speaking of tremendous entertainment value, here our intrepid heroine complains about being the victim of fake news without actually denying anything that is in the story she’s complaining about:

She’s so cute.  And how ironic is it to see the Democrat Party’s new Socialist queen echoing the exact same complaints about the fake news media we see daily from President Donald Trump?

Self-awareness is a wonderful life skill, Alexandria.  You should try to obtain some.

Teen Drama Queen Update: Here, James Comey deploys Hillary Clinton’s “at this point, what difference does it make?” post-Benghazi tactic in a non-answer to a question from Mark Meadows…

Note also that Comey repeats the lie – which he knows is an outright lie – that the fake dossier was initially funded by “Republicans opposed to Trump.” That contention was debunked many months ago – it is simply not possible that Comey is unaware of that fact.

The fact that James Comey actually led the FBI for several years is one of the most distressing historic facts of the 21st century. No one has ever done more damage to any law enforcement agency. Well, except for that Sheriff Israel clown down in Broward County.  But other than him, Comey’s the King, er, Queen.

That is all.

James Comey Reaches Peak Teen Drama Queen

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Hey, lookey here – the 302 apparently exists after all! – Waiting until the very last possible moment, Robert Mueller and his gang of Clinton/Obama thugs finally, at long last, produced a document purporting to be the orginal FBI 302 form from the FBI’s entrapment interview with General Mike Flynn. The production of the key document comes just hours before today’s scheduled sentencing hearing, and the document is heavily redacted. Because of course it is.

Les is no more.:  Wait – what’s this? A big media company actually did the right thing in a massive sexual harassment scandal? This must be a work of fiction, right? No? It’s real? Go figure.

Yes, friends, this would never happen at NBC, MSNBC or CNN, but over at CBS Corp., the people in charge decided on Monday to terminate former CEO Les Moonves for cause in the midst of a massive sexual abuse scandal, denying him the $122 million severance package he would have otherwise been entitled to receive. That’s a big deal, one which no doubt sent waves of fear across senior management teams at big media companies everywhere.

Cool.

Teenage Drama Queen Update: Former FBI Director and current Teenage Drama Queen James Comey exited his second tense day of behind-closed-doors testimony on Capitol Hill and had this to say about the tattered reputation of the agency he “led” for several years:

“Director Comey, the FBI’s reputation has taken a big hit over the last year. Do you share any of the responsibility for that?” the [Fox News] reporter asked.

“No. The FBI’s reputation has taken a big hit because the President of the United States, with his acolytes, has lied about it constantly and, in the face of those lies, a whole lot of good people who watch your network believe that nonsense. That’s a tragedy.”

Congressman Mark Meadows, who questioned Comey in Monday’s hearing, responded very succinctly:

Exactly.  Let’s review just some of the reasons why the FBI’s reputation has taken hits in recent years:

  • Comey himself led a sham investigation into Hillary Clinton’s illegal email server;
  • Comey himself led an effort to illegally spy on the Trump presidential campaign and transition team;
  • The FBI revealed to be fully aware of and actively surveiling a series of Islamic terrorists and school shooters;
  • The utter failure of the FBI to conduct anything remotely resembling a competent investigation of the worst mass shooting in American history in Las Vegas;
  • The revelation of the texts of Super Duper Agent Peter Strzok and his mistress Lisa Page;
  • The FBI’s active support of the Gestapo tactics deployed by Special Counsel Robert Mueller;
  • The FBI’s resolute refusal to respond to 2 years of legal document requests issued by an array of congressional committees;
  • The FBI’s habit of “redacting” key passages from key documents solely to cover-up wrongdoing by FBI officials;
  • The repeated commissions of outright perjury before congressional committees by Comey, Andrew McCabe, Strzok and other FBI officials;
  • The firing and forced resignations of a broad array of senior FBI personnel over the past year, including McCabe, Strzok, James Baker and many others.

This list could honestly go on and on, but the point is clear: The reason the FBI’s former reputation as the nation’s premier law-enforcement agency is in tatters today is directly attributable to the Obama-era decision by Comey and his leadership team to stop enforcing the law on anyone associated with the Clintons or the Obamas.  Under Comey, and Robert Mueller before him, the FBI was turned into nothing more than the aggressive attack dog for the Deep State, and that is sadly the state in which it remains today.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders summed the day up perfectly.:

Couldn’t have said it better myself.

Assessing blame where it belongs is the key to Progressive life.:

The truth about electric vehicles:

Hey, let’s go get our exercise in and play a game of pot!:

Ocasio Cortez Watch:

Would’ve been more effective if I’d said “whose” instead of “who’s”, but there are no do-overs on Twitter.

Deep thoughts on free speech, by Ted Lieu…:

Ocasio Cortez Watch, Part II: Alexandria needs a break. –  Yes, friends, our intrepid heroine feels the need to take a break for “self care”, even before the session starts.  And guess what? She doesn’t even know what “self care” means.  I swear I don’t make this stuff up:

*sigh*

That is all.

The Beto Mania “Victory” Tour Goes On, Only Without That “Victory” Part

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Beto Mania Update:  Looking to burnish his street cred among demented Democrat voters, Irish Bob O’Rourke met with an anti-Semitic racist in New York over the weekend. Yes, friends, if you want to be the Democrat Party’s presidential nominee, you must kiss a lot of highly distasteful rings, none moreso than the many, many rings of lifelong race-baiter and perennial MSNBC host Al Sharpton.

Sharpton became just the latest stop on the Irish Bob “I’m Ready Even Though I’m a Loooooooser” victory tour of grand Democrat Poobahs and big Muckety-Mucks as he preps the January announcement of his candidacy.

He already met with America’s Worst Mistake (Barack Hussein Obama) a few weeks ago, and now Sharpton. We can only wait with bated breath to see who will be the next stop on the tour: Will it be Louis Farrakhan? How about prominent Democrat fundraising specialist Harvey Weinstein?

If Irish Bob should decide that Farrakhan and Weinstein are just a tad too toxic, how about the de facto owner of the Democrat National Committee, George Soros?  I would suggest billionaires Tom Steyer – the “environmentalist” who made his fortune investing in coal – or media mogul Mike Bloomberg, but hey, they’re both planning to mount their own campaigns. So reaching out to them might be a little uncomfortable for all involved.

Of course, if Irish Bob really wants sound advice on how to rig, er, “win” the Democrat nomination, he could just travel on up to Chappaqua and have a sit down with the Fainting Felon. He could butter her up by bringing a bag filled with $250,000 in cash as a “contribution” to her “foundation”, two cases of vodka and maybe also bring along a couple of nice hospital gowns to add to her speaking tour on-stage wardrobe.

If it all sounds a little unsavory and demeaning, well, these are Democrats we’re talking about here, not normal people.

Paris Burning Update:

French boy President Emanuel Macron made a televised speech in which he blamed the current civil unrest in his country on 40 years of national “malaise.” So, he’s apparently transitioning from the second coming of Marie Antoinette into the second coming of Jimmy Carter. Neither one is a very good look, is it? At least Carter managed to avoid having his head chopped off, so there is that.

In his speech, the child President made a series of profound statements, such as:

“When violence is unleashed, freedom ends.”

“I take my share of responsibility.”

“I might have hurt people with my words.” and the coup de gras…

“I would ask all employers who can, pay an end-of-year bonus to their employees.”

Oh, yeah, that’ll work.

This guy is hopeless.

Speaking of hopeless, (quoting the late, great Hans Gruber)”I give you the F…B…I.” – During the course of his congressional testimony last week, former FBI Director and current Teenage Drama Queen James Comey used the phrases “I don’t know,” “I don’t remember,” “I can’t recall” or some variance thereof 245 times, which is even more than Barack Obama generally refers to himself in the first person in an hour-long speech.

In other words, it’s a lot. A lot to not remember, recall or know for a guy who spent years heading up what used to be the nation’s premier law enforcement agency but is now an anti-American tool for anti-American political interests.

Writing at the Wall Street Journal on Monday, James Freeman compiled a terrific piece detailing some of the many amazing things Comey, in his job as FBI Director, claims not to have known.  Among those are:

  • The FBI’s process for initiating a counterintelligence investigation;
  • Who initiated the FBI’s 2016 counterintelligence investigation targeting the Trump Campaign;
  • Who Christopher Steele is;
  • That Christopher Steele worked for Fusion GPS;
  • The fact that the Clinton Campaign funded the fake “Trump Dossier”, which was compiled by Steele through Fusion GPS;
  • The fact that the “Trump Dossier” was unverified when it was used by his agency as the basis for obtaining multiple FISA warrants to spy on the Trump Campaign, Trump Transition, and Trump Administration;

and on, and on, and on. In other words, just another day for the nation’s most despicable Deep State skunk.

Go read Freeman’s piece – it’s well worth your time.

Wellllllll, you know, that’s a very, very good question.:

Jerry Nadler may not be worried about this, but dozens of his colleagues probably are. Over the last 20 years, more than 260 settlements totaling $17 million have been paid out of a congressional slush fund – at taxpayer expense – to keep members of congress out of hot water of one form or another.  Many of those settlements were to dispose of complaints involving sexual harassment.

Isn’t that “hush money?” If not, what is the distinction? After all, when one of these suits has been settled, the person filing the complaint has been required to sign a non-disclosure agreement in order to get his or her money, exactly the same process Donald Trump allegedly engaged in with the playmate and the porn star. So, if it’s an impeachable offense when then-private citizen Donald Trump supposedly did it, why isn’t it an impeachable offense when a sitting member of congress does it?

So many questions, so few answers coming from our fake news media and its Democrat masters.

Kamala Harris is not Ready for Democrat Nomination Prime Time

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

A little better due diligence seems in order here. – Comic actor Kevin Hart will never be remembered as the best or worst host of the Academy Awards ceremonies, but he will be remembered has the host who never got to actually host the show.

Hart accepted the gig on Tuesday, but then gave it up on Thursday after it was revealed he had sent out tweets several years ago that were insulting to gay folks.  This action shows the Academy Awards at least have some standards for their hosts to live up to, but that those standards only apply to the insulting of people in certain protected classes.  This is no surprise given that the event is run by leftists and that is how leftists conduct themselves in their daily lives as well.

Meanwhile, over at MSNBC, host Joy Ann Reid, found several months back to have been guilty of exactly the same insensitive Twitter activities in which Hart engaged, still has her gig.  And so does Chris Matthews, who was revealed several months back to be a serial harasser of women in the workplace.

Dang, MSNBC – when you have lower standards for behavior than the Academy Awards, you really, truly suck as an organization.

More perjury opportunities, coming right up! – Former FBI Director and current aspiring Teenage Drama Queen James Comey will be testifying before the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees up on Capitol Hill today.  Unfortunately, the Republicans who insisted on his coming up to lie to them yet again seem to be woefully – and typically – disorganized, and divided on what they actually want to question him about.

Some want to ask more about the Clinton email fake investigation that Comey dummied up in 2016, others want to focus on the whole “Russia collusion” fantasy, and nobody appears to be in charge. So, it will be another wasted opportunity to edge closer to the truth, in all likelihood. Maybe that’s why the Rs insisted the hearing be held behind closed doors.

Byron York, meanwhile, has published a terrific list of 10 suggested questions the Rs might ask Comey about his role in the entrapment of General Mike Flynn. Forcing the Drama Queen to answer those questions would either be very revealing and damaging to him, Peter Strzok and Robert Mueller, or force Comey to commit more perjury – in other words, a win/win situation. Sadly, we can be about 98% sure no one on the Republican side will bother to read the piece, or ask these questions in their last chance to get at some truth before the Democrat majorities take over in January and start sweeping all the Clinton/Comey/Mueller wrongdoing under their very lumpy rug.

What a waste.

From our You Seriously Cannot Make This Stuff Up Files:

The Girl Isn’t Ready. – Over the last 32 years I’ve written many times about the unarguable fact that, to win the Democrat Party’s presidential nomination, a candidate must prove to be an especially accomplished and shameless liar. From Michael Dukakis to Bill Clinton to Al Gore to John Kerry to Barack Hussein Obama to the Pantsuit Princess, the nominees the Democrat Party has offered up to the American people over the last three decades reads like the murderers row in the grand pantheon of deceptive history.

Democrat voters just love to be lied to. As my hero Walt Longmire would say, “It’s a simple fact.”

Enter Kamala Harris, about whom there has been so much talk that she could become the Democrats’ next flag-bearer. Folks, she isn’t nearly good enough to get it done. One of her top aides resigned this week when his $400,000 settlement of a sexual harassment lawsuit several years back finally made the news, and all Sen. Harris could think to do was claim she didn’t know anything about it.

Now, that’s an obvious lie – how, after all, could the boss remain unaware for years that one of her top subordinates was a sex harasser? – but it is neither a creative nor convincing lie, and Democrat voters demand creative and convincing liars.

Think about it: Al Gore has made himself a near-billionaire by mounting a massive propaganda campaign, complete with not one, but two movies, over the last 20 years to support his lies about “climate change.” Hell, Bill Clinton literally reinvented the meaning of the word “sex” to support his lies about Monica Lewinsky. The Pantsuit Princess made up so many different lies about her illegal email server that she finally just lost track of them and needed Comey to use half of the DC office of the FBI to help her cover it all up.

Folks, those are the kinds of lies that qualify someone to become the Democrat Party’s nominee for the presidency. A simple denial, like the one offered by Senator Harris on Thursday does not, after all, entertain the Democrat masses, and the Democrat masses must be entertained.

Unless she gets a whole lot better at this real fast, we can pretty much write Kamala Harris off as a serious contender.

This also happened on Thursday:

Paris Burning Watch:

A new poll out this week shows boy Prime Minister Emanuel Macron’s approval among the French public now down to a microscopic 18%. Remember, this is the guy all the #NeverTrump nitwits were praising just a year ago as the real kind of leader America needs in the presidency.

Meanwhile, the approval rating for President Donald Trump (I still never tire of typing those three glorious words) remains at 50% in the current Rasmussen survey.

As the #NeverTrump flagship publication, The Weekly Standard, teeters on the brink of going out of business, there is a lesson to be learned in all of this. But you can bet that TWS editors Bill Kristol, Stephen Hayes and all of their #NeverTrump Nitwit army will fail to learn it.

That is all.
