The Horowitz FISA Investigation May Have Found its Scapegoat

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Details of the Horowitz FISA report are leaking, and it all smacks of a whitewash. – Not that that outcome wasn’t completely predictable, since I warned you to fully expect that in yesterday’s Campaign Update.

Last night, CNN ran with a story – based on leaks no doubt obtained from one of the many ex-FBI snakes now employed by the fakest news channel on earth – proclaiming that Horowitz’s report will make claims of criminal activity by a single FBI lawyer, whose identity is not revealed in the story. Might it be James Baker, the former FBI general counsel now working for CNN as a contributor? Might it be Lisa Page, the paramour and co-conspirator to super-duper FBI stud Peter Strzok? We didn’t know, and CNN wasn’t telling.

What CNN did say about the nature of the potential charges against this lawyer is this:

A former FBI lawyer is under criminal investigation after allegedly altering a document related to 2016 surveillance of a Trump campaign adviser, several people briefed on the matter told CNN.

A little later in the evening, the Deep State mouthpieces at the Washington Post came in with a story of their own, and it revealed more about this lawyer’s identity. According to the Post:

The person under scrutiny is a low-level FBI lawyer who has since been forced out of the agency, according to the officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss material that has not yet been made public.

Hilariously, after Wolf Blitzer carried a report on this CNN “breaking news,” the fake news channel’s own on-air fake talent studiously ignored it for the rest of the evening. Only in America’s dead profession of journalism would a news outlet work so hard to bury a major scoop that its own people were the first to report.

But the bottom line here is that Horowitz, true to his nature as a career creature of the DC Swamp, has apparently found the perfect scapegoat, a low-level lawyer who has already been forced out of his job and who can now become the sacrificial lamb, the offering to the public in a report that otherwise whitewashes the utter defrauding of the FISA process that we all know was led by Strzok, James Comey, Andrew McCabe and Rod Rosenstein, among others. We know a whitewash is very likely because the Post piece also contains this very disturbing passage:

That conduct did not alter Horowitz’s finding that the surveillance application of former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page had a proper legal and factual basis, the officials said.

Ugh.

The lone bit of potentially good news in all of this actually appears in the CNN report:

Horowitz turned over evidence on the allegedly altered document to John Durham, the federal prosecutor appointed early this year by Attorney General William Barr to conduct a broad investigation of intelligence gathered for the Russia probe by the CIA and other agencies, including the FBI. The altered document is also at least one focus of Durham’s criminal probe.

So, again, if you were expecting gang-buster, myriad criminal referrals to be contained in the report from career apparatchik Michael Horowitz, you would be well advised to cool your jets. While reports from CNN and the WaPo are highly suspect at best and far from definitive accounts of the totality of the Horowitz’s findings, they provide good initial foundation to believe the report will be a classic DC Swamp whitewash.

After all, if the report contained criminal referrals targeting the true major players in all of this, those major players would be working with their toadies at CNN, WaPo, the NYTimes and the networks to plant stories that smear Horowitz and contain more-preferred narratives.

If you want real justice to be levied at the coup cabal plotters, it will either come from John Durham and his investigation, or it will never come at all.

That is all.

Tick-Tock: Hannity and Graham Break Wind, er, News on the Horowitz FISA Report

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

The Tick-Tock News Hour finally gives us something other than gas. – All-hat and No-cattle Senator Lindsey Graham appeared on Sean Hannity’s Tick-Tock News Hour Wednesday evening. That’s nothing new. What is new is that the Senator from South Carolina had actually managed to round up some cattle for a change, informing Hannity’s loyal audience of something that they hadn’t already heard 600 times before on Tick-Tock News.

That item of actual new stuff is that the long-delayed report on abuse of the FISA process from plodding, obfuscating DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz and his staff of thousands of do-nothing bureaucrats will definitely, no question, you betcha be issued on December 9. Not December 9 of 2020, not of 2024, but…wait for it…THIS ACTUAL YEAR. I swear I’m not making this up. Here’s the clip:

For those Baby Boomers who still like to read stuff, here’s the transcript:

Mr. Tick-Tock – You’re gonna have, on December 11 [he actually said September 11, but I’m trying to be nice here], the Inspector General will be before your committee. I’m hoping we’ll get…

Sen. Graham – …December 11…

Mr. Tick-Tock – …a number of days, and not on a Friday, a dump…

Sen. Graham – …it’ll be December the 9th…

Mr. Tick-Tock – …derp…

Sen. Graham – …you’ll get the report.

Mr. Tick-Tock – [Shocked] December the 9th. That’s locked.

Sen. Graham – That’s locked.

[2 seconds of dead air as a shocked Hannity suddenly realizes he’s going to have to actually run a different show than he’s run the last 550 straight days come December 9.]

Mr. Tick-Tock – Ok. That’s a Monday. You’ll be in your chambers on Wednesday.

[End]

Ok, so, all of you who have been asking me for the last 10 months or so, “where’s the FISA report?” and “when’s the FISA report coming out?” – now you have it straight from the mouths of two of the most unreliable people on the face of the earth.

My only pieces of advice to you here are:

Don’t get your hopes up. Horowitz is a career DC Swamp creature. He is not in his job to actually find real, true wrongdoing that would create a major scandal within the department of government that pays his salary. As we have seen in the previous reports he has issued following his interminable investigations, his modus operandi is to do everything he can to create excuses to minimize and excuse wrongdoing by department employees.

While this report will likely contain criminal referrals, don’t expect them to be any sort of blockbusters involving people like James Comey.  Horowitz will bend over backwards to ascribe real criminal wrongdoing by these people to simple violations of departmental policy. Remember: Horowitz is a bureaucrat at heart, and it is never in the self-interest of any career bureaucrat to do real damage to the department in which he is employed. The permanent driving incentive of the career federal bureaucrat is always to preserve and grow the bureaucracy. This is the fundamental problem with allowing the DOJ to investigate itself, regardless of who the Attorney General happens to be.

Don’t be surprised if these dates end up being delayed again. Everything Graham says about any of this is highly suspect. The man has already almost succeeded in getting through his entire first year as chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee without calling a single hearing or issuing a single subpoena over any of this stuff. It seems odd that he’s suddenly now going to break that record of non-achievement with just three weeks remaining in the year and the Christmas holiday season coming up.

Don’t shoot me, I’m just the messenger. And hey, maybe this will be the one time Sean Hannity’s Tick-Tock News Hour and his favorite guest actually deliver something real.

That is all.

James Comey is Moving to New Zealand, and Other Great News for America

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Great news, everyone! James Comey is moving to New Zealand! –  The Nation’s Teenage Drama Queen and former FBI Director James Comey will be moving to New Zealand in November, 2020, after Donald Trump wins his inevitable re-election. That’s the promise the big, tall doofus made to MSNBC fake journalist Nicolle Wallace during a Saturday appearance at some minor event in Nashville:

James Comey: But we have something in common. And I said it when I sat here with the first question you asked. We have a set of values that are at the core of this country that hold this place together… Our leaders must reflect the glue that holds us together. They can’t be people who lie all the time. They just can’t. And I hope people see that’s true whether they are Republicans or Democrats.

Nicolle Wallace: What if he wins again?

James Comey: I will be, from my new home in New Zealand, but I still will believe in America.

So, we got that going for us, folks.

Of course, Mr. Comey didn’t say how he would make it all the way to New Zealand from his future cell in a federal maximum security prison. He probably has an escape plan that involves blending in with the drapes [think about it]. Regardless, we can be sure that in his weird mind, he is no doubt already there.

Speaking of people who lie all the time, the nation’s Unfrozen Caveman Senator is now lying about where he went to college:

Transcript:

“I got started out of an HBCU, Delaware State. And I don’t wanna hear anything negative about Delaware State here – they’re my folks. But all kidding aside…but the fact is, HBCU’s are in trouble financially.”

As the hilarious Benny Johnson points out in a subsequent tweet, Joe Biden actually attended the University of Delaware, which is not an HBCU and most definitely not Delaware State.

Oh, hey, looks like our military bagged the leader of ISIS on Saturday. – People all over the Twitter world were wondering what in the hell was happening about 10:00 CT last night, after President Trump issued the following tweet:

What could it be? No one knew, and the President wasn’t telling, and still hadn’t told as of this writing early on Sunday morning.

But here’s a big clue: Reports began to circulate shortly after the President’s cryptic tweet that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the “leader” of ISIS, had been killed during a U.S. military raid in Syria. al-Baghdadi reportedly detonated a suicide vest as U.S. troops closed in on his position. So now this human piece of pond scum gets to go meet his promised 77 virgins, and boy, is he going to be surprised when he finds out what they really are.

Gosh, what a strange and unlikely coincidence this is. – Almost lost amid all the myriad Spygate developments on Friday was this little piece of extremely interesting news: Disgraced ex-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe quietly dropped his “wrongful termination” lawsuit that he had laughably filed a couple of months ago.

Quite the coincidence that that happens less than 24 hours after the country learned that the Barr/Durham administrative investigation had become a full-fledged criminal probe.

Ok, we all know that this is no coincidence at all. And that is great news for America.

That is all.

Ratcliffe and Clapper Offer a Stark Contrast in Takes on the Barr/Durham Probe

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

If you don’t believe the Deep State Coup Cabal is getting very nervous right now, you’re not paying close enough attention. –  The plotters are very, very nervous indeed, and for good reason. Remember that even the Deep State mouth organ New York Times reported on Saturday that bad actors like John Brennan, James Comey and James Clapper were lawyering up in anticipation of the Horowitz report on FISA abuse and the ongoing investigation into the origins of Spygate by Attorney General William Barr and U.S. Attorney John Durham.

The contrast between a couple of TV interviews over the last 24 hours provides a stark example of the very palpable panic beginning to set in among the Coup Cabal plotters: One of GOP Texas Rep. John Ratcliffe, one of the main players in the 2017-18 House investigations into the Obama-era abuses, and the second of Obama DNI James Clapper, one of the major players in the never-ending coup. Below, you will find clips of both interviews, along with transcripts of each. The contrast of the comparative composure and messages of the two men is stark, and even a little startling. Watch and read:

Transcript:

Ratcliffe: I do. This is not a coincidence that it’s happening at the same time. Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report looks into potential FISA abuse. You’ll remember that Republicans put out a memo that said that Obama Administration officials in the DOJ and the FBI appeared to have abused the FISA Act in court to obtain surveillance on Carter Page.

Democrats put out a memo saying that’s a bunch of nonsense, that the DOJ and FBI did everything right and how dare Republicans malign good people like Peter Strzok and Bruce Ohr. So, we’re going to find out who was telling the truth.

I think these two things are related, that the work done by Michael Horowitz could result in criminal referrals even though the report hasn’t been released. The referrals could have already been made, but regardless, John Durham had to let Michael Horowitz finish this work.

And I think that when people read the IG’s pending report, it will be very clear why the Durham investigation has now moved to a criminal probe which will allow him to empanel a grand jury and bring in witnesses, and perhaps ultimately bring criminal charges.

Doocey: Could it also show coordination within the agencies and perhaps with the Obama White House?

Ratclife: All of those things are possible, as you know, based on text messages and testimony that is there. Look, there’s been one inconsistency after another in terms of sworn testimony and documents that have been produced.

Just as one example, Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson, the person behind the Steele Dossier, testified before congress that he’d never met Bruce Ohr until Thanksgiving, after the [2016] election. Bruce Ohr told me in sworn testimony that he and Mr. Simpson met in August, months before the election, to talk about the dossier. So, someone very clearly not telling the truth, and there’s a lot of low-hanging fruit there that John Durham and Michael Horowitz have been looking at.

Again, at the end of the day, I think that those of us who have said that this is not a bunch of nonsense are going to be vindicated in both of the reports that are forthcoming.

Doocey: The NYTimes says the criminal investigation raises alarms that the President is using the DOJ to go after his political enemies.

Ratcliffe: Well, the DOJ was used to go after enemies, but it was in the prior administration, and that’s what the focus of this is. All of these things, all of these questions began to occur before Donald Trump was ever elected President, when he was candidate Trump. And so the things that we’re looking at took place and can be verified to be before Donald Trump ever put his hand on the Bible and became our President.

The fact that we need to look at the origins of something like this, and someone like Bill Barr was troubled by the lack of a predicate to investigate Donald Trump as a candidate is really what has lit the fuse behind this. Many of us – Trey Gowdy, Devin Nunes, myself and others – have been saying that what has happened here is that the Obama Administration took a vital national security tool, the FISA Act, and they misused it to surveil for political reasons, and I think the IG’s report is going to say whether or not we were right when we raised those questions.

As you can see, Ratcliffe is completely composed. No visible or audible nervousness, no stuttering or stammering through carefully-prepared talking points, none of the body language of an obvious liar. This is a man who is very confident in the truth of his position on the matter.

Now, contrast that with Clapper, who appeared on CNN Thursday night with Deep State toady Anderson Cooper:

Here’s the transcript, word for word.:

Clapper: Well, I sh, uhh, ummm, you know, very cur-curious since presumably I, I guess, uh, I’m one of those u-u-under investigation. And I, I, I [preening host interrupts, obviously trying to throw the skunk a lifeline]

Cooper: And you just heard about this.

Clapper: Yes, I,I,I just, uh, uh, you know, read the clip on, uhhh, a-about 20 minutes ago.  Ummm, I found the ti, the timing interesting, uh, given the, uh, increasing heat, uh, around the impeachment inquiry. And so, uhhh, it, it, uh, the timing’s i-i-interesting, I’ll just let it go at that.

And the other thing I, I wonder about is whether we’re talking about the overall, i-i-investigation, the Russian, uh, the,uh, reporting on the Russian, uhhh, interference, o, or are we talking about the counterintelligence investigation that was launched in July [2016] by the, by the FBI, about potential, uhhh, engagement and collusion, whatever you want to call it between the Russians and, and the Trump Campaign.

That, my friends, is a very, very nervous man, a guy who is obviously struggling to recite carefully-scripted talking points from memory; a man who is so nervous he can barely put 3-4 words together; a man with all of the facial tics and body language of a not-very-convincing prevaricator. This from a guy, Clapper, who, as a highly-paid “contributor” to CNN, has made dozens if not hundreds of live appearances on that channel over the past three years, and is normally very composed and loquacious.

Nervous, indeed. Maybe even frightened.

What about the other major players in the Coup Cabal, you might ask? What about, say, John Brennan, who is normally all over Twitter shouting about everything that happens?

John Brennan hasn’t issued a single tweet since October 18, a full week ago. Odd.

Well, what about James Comey, our National Teenage Drama Queen who also has regularly used his Twitter account to respond to major developments in the whole never-ending coup saga?

James Comey has issued one tweet since October 17, and it was about a visit he made to an Alabama cemetery. Weird.

Of course, if these guys and the other Coup Cabal plotters have indeed lawyered up this week, then good lawyers would have told each and every one of them to just shut the hell up. They could have used such good legal advice long ago.

Better late than never.

That is all.

Boom: Barr and Durham Shift to Criminal Investigation

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

And just like that, stuff got real. –  That squeaky noise you heard early Thursday evening was the sound of sphincters tightening in unison all over the DC Swamp. That was when news leaked that Attorney General William Barr has authorized U.S. Attorney John Durham to shift gears.

What has to this point been an administrative inquiry into the origins of the Obama-era efforts by the coup cabal to spy on the Trump Campaign and Transition team will now become a full criminal inquiry. As the New York Times reluctantly reported, the move gives Durham and his team of prosecutors and investigators “the power to subpoena for witness testimony and documents, to convene a grand jury and to file criminal charges.”

It’s actually even better than that, enough to make the Deep State toadies at the Times and the rest of the fake news media want to cry.  Durham can in fact convene not just one grand jury, but as many grand juries as he wants and needs to convene. Better yet, because Durham is based in Connecticut, his grand juries can be convened there, outside of the 90% Democrat snake pit of Washington, DC.

Naturally, the Times, in its role as the chief propaganda organ for the Deep State, structured its story on the talking points of the Coup Cabal’s prevailing narrative. Here are the key outtakes:

The opening of a criminal investigation is likely to raise alarms that Mr. Trump is using the Justice Department to go after his perceived enemies. Mr. Trump fired James B. Comey, the F.B.I. director under whose watch agents opened the Russia inquiry, and has long assailed other top former law enforcement and intelligence officials as partisans who sought to block his election.

Mr. Trump has made clear that he sees the typically independent Justice Department as a tool to be wielded against his political enemies. That view factors into the impeachment investigation against him, as does his long obsession with the origins of the Russia inquiry.

This is all the standard nonsense. Trump has upset the DC Swamp way of doing things by being a Republican President who actually fights back when attacked. The Times and their fellow media toadies demand that Republican presidents remain silent and just take it when the DC Swamp and its propaganda machine rises to assault them.

Of course President Trump fired the utterly corrupt James Comey when he found out that Comey had spied on him and was still attempting to entrap him. Of course President Trump has lambasted Comey, Brennan and other former “top law enforcement officials,” since he knows that they were the leaders of Spygate and the neverending coup. Sure, George W. Bush and his Poppy never pushed back when the Swamp attacked – they were part of the Swamp themselves, as was Nixon.

The final 15 or so paragraphs of the slimy Times piece is a point-by-point recital of the coup plotters’ preferred narrative, no doubt dictated personally the lead plotters themselves. If it sounds like a story that was written by the Cabal’s defense lawyers, that’s because it most likely was.

You should read it just to become familiar with what you’re going to hear from Democrat talking heads and fake hosts all over cable television in the coming weeks. They will all recite passages from these paragraphs word-for-word, like the sock puppets they really are.

You can also expect the media/Democrat effort to smear Barr, which has already been underway for months, to now shift into high gear, and expand to also include Durham. The Deep State’s Alinsky-based model always requires the character assassination of anyone who rises as a threat, so that’s a given.

Interestingly, the news about this becoming a criminal investigation came right on the heels of DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz telling congress in a letter Thursday afternoon that he is finally, at long last, entering the final phases of getting his report on FISA abuse ready for public release. Horowitz had announced the completion of his report on September 13, and apparently has waited all the time since for the internal DOJ/FBI classification review to be completed.

As reported by the Washington Examiner, “Horowitz said the process is “ongoing” and “consistent with our usual practice when an OIG report involves classified information.” The inspector general said he expects the final report to “be released publicly with few redactions” and does not “anticipate a need to prepare and issue separate classified and public versions of the report.”

Horowitz also said that the report is “lengthy” and “concerns sensitive national security and law enforcement matters,” which could mean a lot of different things. And hey, after taking all this absurd amount of time to complete, the damn thing had better be “lengthy.”

It is also interesting to note that both of these announcements come right on cue, as the Deep State’s favorite fake news organizations have been mounting a furious drive to preach the Coup Cabal’s gospel on a daily basis, as we have detailed this week at the Campaign Update. Obviously, the Brennans and Comeys and Clappers and Strzoks of the world know what’s coming and are doing their best to set their narrative in place before the actual truth starts coming out and indictments start flying.

At least, we hope indictments will ultimately start flying. The wheels of justice do turn slowly when the process is meticulously followed, but man, this has been like waiting for a family of turtles to cross I-10 in Houston during rush hour traffic.

Who knows what it will all ultimately produce, but as of this morning, there’s some reason to hope that at least some of the Coup Cabal plotters will ultimately face justice for their betrayals of this country.

That is all.

Durham Will Interview Brennan – Explains This Week’s Deep State Media Push

Today’s Campaign Update, PART III
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Suddenly, it all becomes clear. – News broke on Tuesday that, consistent with earlier rumors, U.S. Attorney John Durham has formally requested an interview with Obama-era CIA Director John Brennan, and plans to also interview Obama-era Director of National Intelligence James Clapper:

This news explains why the Usual Suspects in the fake news media have been putting on a full court fake news press in their support of their Deep State heroes. As reported previously here, Saturday was the New York Times’ day to do the toadying, Sunday was NBC’s day, and Tuesday was Politico’s day in the shilling well.

Brennan himself had obviously gotten wind of Durham’s intentions early this month, as he nervously speculated on October 3 to MSCIA’s fake host Nicolle Wallace that he might well have to testify to Durham and his investigators:

Check out that body language. That is one very nervous liar right there.

Brennan has already been revealed to have lied multiple times when he testified along with Comey and Clapper before he House Intelligence Committee back in 2017, but perjury should be the least of the issues Durham will want to explore with the former chief spy.

The Saturday deep state narrative promotion piece by the NYTimes noted that, while Durham has already interviewed “dozens” of current and former Obama officials during the course of his investigation, he had yet to question the principles who we know organized and executed the effort to fix the 2016 election and then to remove a sitting President via a coup d’etat.

Today’s news proves that he’s getting around now to questioning the targets.

Cool.

That is all.

Sunday was NBC’s Day to Shill for the Deep State Coup Cabal

Today’s Campaign Update, PART II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

The fake news outlets are taking turns parroting the Coup Cabal’s talking points. – Saturday was the New York Times day, and Sunday, it was NBC’s turn at the fake news bar as the Coup Cabal continues to try to build an exculpatory narrative in advance of the release of the Horowitz report. We’ve seen this repeatedly over the past few years, as America’s fake news media continues to toady for its Democrat masters.

NBC News started its shilling right at the top, with a hilariously-slanted headline: “AG Barr expands mysterious review into origin of Russia investigation.”  Oooooohhhh, it’s all “mysterious” and stuff. The sub-head is even better: “If U.S. Attorney John Durham is conducting a criminal investigation, it’s not clear what allegations of wrongdoing are being examined.”

Oh, hey, guess who no doubt fed NBC that headline and sub-head: Could it be Obama CIA Director John Brennan? It seems likely, given this passage hidden way down in the bowels of the piece:

If Durham is conducting a criminal investigation, it’s not clear what allegations of wrongdoing are being examined. The Justice Department has not detailed any, and a spokeswoman declined to comment for this story.

“I don’t know what the legal basis for this is,” Brennan said, calling the probe “bizarre.”

So, Saturday’s theme parroted by the New York Times was that, hey, the Coup Cabal didn’t do anything wrong in the sham Clinton email “investigation,” and Sunday’s theme is “the Barr/Durham investigation is all mysterious and bizarre and stuff, or something.”

The NBC piece is an obvious, blatant effort to paint the Barr/Durham investigation to be somehow illegitimate, which explains the use of Brennan-fed code words like “bizarre,” “mysterious,” and “unusual” throughout. Of course, there is nothing mysterious or unusual about the investigation at all, and Barr spent a ton of time in May explaining in great detail why he was pursuing the investigation and what he and Durham would be looking at.

NBC even details much of that in its own piece:

Michael Horowitz, the Justice Department inspector general, has conducted an investigation into the FBI’s actions in launching the Russia probe.

But Barr has said he believes an IG inquiry is not sufficient to answer the questions he has about how the investigation began. In doing so, he made comments suggesting Durham had authority only a criminal investigation could provide.

In a May 31 interview with CBS News, Barr said Horowitz “doesn’t have the power to compel testimony, he doesn’t have the power really to investigate beyond the current cast of characters at the Department of Justice. His ability to get information from former officials or from other agencies outside the department is very limited.”

Barr also said in the interview that the purpose of the Durham review is to make sure there was not inappropriate surveillance of the Trump campaign.

“I had a lot of questions about what was going on,” he said. “Some of the facts that I’ve learned don’t hang together with the official explanations of what happened.”

Ok, so, what is “mysterious,” “bizarre,” or “unusual” about any of that? Barr is concerned about the origins of myriad FBI/CIA/DOJ-sanctioned efforts to spy on the Trump Campaign/Trump Transition/Trump Administration were improperly originated and conducted, and that no one has made any real effort to get to the bottom of why that all happened and who authorized the spying in the first place. So, he has detailed Durham to lead a probe to get to the bottom of it all.

IG Horowitz has no power to subpoena witnesses outside of the DOJ/FBI employee base, and no power to convene grand juries to seek indictments should crimes be uncovered. Durham, as a U.S. Attorney, does possess those powers.

This is not complicated, except for fake journalists who are set on pretending to be intentionally obtuse in efforts to deceive the American public. And that’s how we end up with these fake media outlets taking turns goose-stepping to marching music being played by the Coup Cabal.

Can’t wait to see what Monday’s theme becomes, and which fake news media outlet gets to parrot it for Brennan/Clapper/Comey and company. My money’s on ABC or The Washington Post.

Stay tuned.

That is all.

New York Times Attempt to Craft a Narrative for the Coup Cabal Fails Miserably

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

If you pay close attention to the fake reporting of the New York Times, Washington Post, CNN and a few other Deep State fake news organizations, you can easily see how the FBI/CIA/State Department goons who choreographed the three year “Russia Collusion” fantasy play are trying to manipulate the public narrative in advance of the release of the Horowitz Report and the slow-rolling Barr/Durham investigation.

A piece published by the Times on Saturday serves as a prime example. The report, written by Adam Goldman and William Rashbaum, two of the most reliable deep state mouthpieces in the media, is chock-full of dozens of references to anonymous sources, all of whom most likely helped organize and lead the plot to fix the 2016 election for the Pantsuit Princess, and then to mount a coup d’etat on American soil. Although the reporters dutifully attempt to carefully craft the narrative here as a defense of treasonous snakes like Peter Strzok, Andrew McCabe, James Comey and other high officials who participated in this long-running betrayal of the United States, it fails miserably to do so.

What we end up with instead is a very long-winded indictment of these snakes in a piece that contains a series of revelations that will damage the reputations and defense efforts of everyone involved.

Let’s begin with the startling admission contained in this paragraph (I will add emphasis throughout the excerpts from the NY Times piece):

In his review, Mr. Durham has asked witnesses about the role of Christopher Steele, a former intelligence official from Britain who was hired to research Mr. Trump’s ties to Russia by a firm that was in turn financed by Democrats. Law enforcement officials used some of the information Mr. Steele compiled into a now-infamous dossier to obtain a secret wiretap on a Trump campaign adviser, Carter Page, whom they suspected was an agent of Russia.

So, here is the New York Times, the mouth organ of the Deep State narrative, admitting – albeit deep in the bowels of a very long piece – that the Steele Dossier was indeed funded by “Democrats.” The Times of course cannot go so far as to be specific about which “Democrats” – i.e., the Coughing Crook Campaign and the DNC – were involved in funding the effort, because that much truth in one article would cause most of its upper East Side readership to faint dead away with the vapors.

But putting that little nugget of truth into its pages is a stark admission that the Clinton Campaign literally paid millions of dollars to foreign agents to help them in an American election, an admission that most Times readers have likely never seen before.

Then there’s the lead paragraph:

Federal prosecutors reviewing the origins of the Russia investigation have asked witnesses pointed questions about any anti-Trump bias among former F.B.I. officials who are frequent targets of President Trump and about the earliest steps they took in the Russia inquiry, according to former officials and other people familiar with the review.

Note the use of the words “federal prosecutors” rather than “investigators,” because words are important here. This distinction, the first two words of a very long piece, clearly implies that the Times has been made aware by their Deep State buddies that Barr and Durham are not only pursuing actual indictments and prosecutions of some of their ranks, but have brought in multiple additional federal prosecutors to assist in the effort. This is a key shift in the fake media narrative, which has previously talked about Barr and Durham being just a couple of loose cannons mounting a rogue investigation in order to curry favor with President Trump.

The second paragraph is also quite interesting:

The prosecutors, led by John H. Durham, the United States attorney in Connecticut, have interviewed about two dozen former and current F.B.I. officials, the people said. Two former senior F.B.I. agents are assisting with the review, the people said.

Oh. Who might those two dozen “current and former FBI officials” be? We’ll have to wait to find out. But the more interesting bit of information here is that “two former senior FBI agents are assisting with the review.” Who might those agents be?

Well, about five paragraphs further into the piece, we find out who they are NOT:

Mr. Durham has yet to interview all the F.B.I. officials who played key roles in opening the Russian investigation in the summer of 2016, the people familiar with the review said. He has not spoken with Peter Strzok, a former top counterintelligence official who opened the inquiry; the former director James B. Comey or his deputy, Andrew G. McCabe; or James A. Baker, then the bureau’s general counsel.

So, Barr/Durham and their fellow prosecutors have interviewed dozens of current and former FBI officials, but they have yet to speak with four of the main suspects who we all know from public information already released were key leaders of the cabal. This would be common practice if those four are in fact targets of the investigation – the process would be to gather all the independent information possible to build a strong case prior to interviewing the actual targets. Very encouraging for those who desire to see actual justice done to at least some of the myriad bad actors in this matter.

Much later on in the piece, we find out who one of the “two former senior FBI agents” happens to be:

The former official said he was reassured by the presence of John C. Eckenrode, one of the former senior F.B.I. agents assisting Mr. Durham. Like Mr. Durham, who investigated C.I.A. torture of detainees overseas, Mr. Eckenrode is also familiar with high-stakes political inquiries.

How is Mr. Eckenrode famliar with “high-stakes political inquiries”? Way back in 2003-04, he worked for special counsel Patrick Fitzgerald on the Valerie Plame investigation. Some will view this association with a previous out-of-control special counsel as damning of Barr/Durham’s real intentions here, but the Fizgerald investigation would have involved literally dozens of FBI agents who were simply carrying out their orders in their daily jobs. When conducting a high-profile, controversial investigation such as this one, it would be perfectly natural for any U.S. Attorney to try to bring in assistants who have prior such experience.

Towards the end, the Times writers do their best to provide cover for their Deep State sources:

For example, the former official compared the F.B.I.’s handling of its two investigations related to Mr. Trump and his 2016 opponent, Hillary Clinton. Agents overtly investigated Mrs. Clinton’s use of a private email server but kept secret their counterintelligence investigation into the Trump campaign. If the F.B.I. had been trying to bolster Mrs. Clinton’s candidacy and hurt Mr. Trump’s, they could have buried the email investigation or taken more overt steps in the Russia inquiry.

This is, of course, abject nonsense. The Clinton email scandal had been in the news for many months, beginning way back in mid-2015. The corrupt and preening Comey, always concerned more about his public image than about the actual pursuit of justice, had no choice but to be seen as pursuing that investigation in a very public way. The fact that the fix was in for the Fainting Felon came with the release of internal FBI documents proving that Comey and Strzok drafted Clinton’s exoneration memo in May, 2016, two full months before they even bothered to interview her.

But this tired old narrative is all the Comeys and Strzoks have left to them, and the Times dutifully plays along, rolling it out there for the consumption of their willfully-deluded reader base.

The very publication of this narrative piece demonstrates the concern the coup plotters really are feeling about the pending release of the Horowitz Report and the ongoing conduct of the Barr/Durham investigation. It’s an effort – a miserably failed effort – to get out ahead of the release of the Horowitz Report, and to build a public narrative in defense of the bad actors as Barr and Durham advance towards seeking indictments. As the Times piece itself states in the lead sentence to its third paragraph:

The number of interviews shows that Mr. Durham’s review is further along than previously known.

Slowly but surely, the walls are closing in on the coup plotters.

Anger Over Impeachment is Best Directed at the Fake News Media

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Fake news, fake news everywhere. – The newsfakers at the Associated Press have a report out this morning pushing the claim that Attorney General William Barr was “surprised and angry” when he found out that President Trump had mentioned him on his July call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelinsky.

The source for the AP’s fake report? A ” a person familiar with Barr’s thinking,” who “was not authorized to speak about the matter publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.” In other words, there are two possibilities here: 1) an Obama loyalist still embeded in the DOJ who just made it all up, or 2) the AP reporter just made it all up out of whole cloth in order to create a juicy “news” story.

This reliance on a single anonymous “source” is the worst kind of journalistic hackery, and it is what has enabled the Democrats and their deep state army to keep the nation in a state of perpetual uproar for three solid years now. Many are angry right now at Nancy Pelosi for being the despicable power-mad seditionist in charge of the freak show Democrat caucus in the house of representatives, and that anger is fully justified. Many are also angry at Robert Mueller and Rod Rostenstein and James Comey and John Brennan and Peter Strzok and Lisa Page and Andrew McCabe and Bruce and Nellie Ohr and all the other treasonous snakes who participated in the first phase of the Democrats’ neverending coup d’etat, and that anger is also completely rational and justified.

But that anger is misdirected if those are you only targets, or even if they are your main targets. Because the reality we face is that none of this could have taken place without the tireless efforts of the mainstream fake news media to facilitate it every step of the way. Because if these politicians and deep state skunks had even the slightest concern about being subjected to honest efforts by curious, aggressive journalists to police their actions and ask them tough questions – you know, the role the founders of our country envisioned for the press – the utterly laughable “Russia Collusion” narrative would have been decimated the day after it was floated by the Clinton campaign back in 2016.

Instead, they are all free to go and do whatever comes into their evil little minds because the know they will never have to pay any price in the realm of media exposure for saying and doing it. Look at what happened in Austin yesterday, where San Fran Nan appeared on stage. There she was allowed to just spew her carefully-scripted talking points without any fear at all of being asked anything resembling a tough question or pressed by the moderator whenever she said something so completely outrageous – like her contention she’s doing all of this to “protect the constitution” – that it would make an average German Shepherd pup laugh out loud in derision.

The most divisive politician in modern history actually said this unchallenged:

“Let us be prayerful. Let us be solemn. Let us try not to make it further divisive,” she added. “But we cannot ignore our oath of office do defend the Constitution of the United States from all enemies foreign and domestic.”

You seriously could never make this stuff up, folks. The Texas Tribune’s story on the interview naturally puts that quote way up near the top without critical comment.

Pelosi never agrees to make any appearance unless she is confident she will simply be fed a series of softball questions that she could answer without critical scrutiny. Every Democrat in the congress schedules media interviews carefully in the same way, and they have a target-rich environment of media outlets clamoring to perform such trained-monkey interviews. This is also why the DNC refuses to hold a debate hosted by Fox News. They have no concerns that Chris Wallace might ask a difficult question, but hey, they don’t have Bret Baier and Martha MacAllum in their pockets yet, so why take the risk?

Adam Schiff’s completely made-up soliloquy from last Thursday’s House Intelligence Committee hearing is another great example. Although every broadcast network was perfectly willing to interrupt their lucrative daytime program to carry the hearing live, not a single network newscast made any mention of the fact that Schiff’s opening remarks were complete fiction.

The President’s mention of Crowdstrike on that Zelensky call is another prime example of this media refusal to report the truth. As we wrote here last week, that reference is what really has the Democrats  and their media toadies in a panic. It has nothing to do with Joe Biden, who they are perfectly willing to sacrifice at the altar of protecting the deep state.

Four days later, have you seen any mainstream media outlet mention that reference to their readers or viewers? Have you seen any fake journalist attempt to explain to their brainwashed masses what that reference means and why it’s important?

Of course you haven’t. Because if they go down that road, it might raise issues that become impossible for the Democrats to answer. So that gets ignored in favor of publishing pieces and having talking heads on TV who focus on vilifying Barr and U.S. Attorney John Durham, who the media and Democrats fear are actually investigating all the stuff James Comey did his best to cover up.

So, yes, be very angry at Pelosi and the Democrat seditious freak show she commands. They deserve your outrage. All of them.

But at the same time, don’t forget to direct your scorn at the fake media establishment that enables them to do what they do. Because the utter lack of an honest media establishment dedicated to holding politicians accountable, regardless of party affiliation, is why the foundations of our society are in the process of crumbling.

That is all.
