Jeff Sessions Holds all the Keys to the Mid-term Elections

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Note to America:  Dianne Feinstein is no longer far left enough for California Democrats.  – Yes, let that one sink in for a minute before you continue on.

Senator Feinstein, who has held her senate seat since 1992 and was the very liberal mayor of San Francisco from 1978 through 1988, was basically given a vote of no confidence by the executive board of her own political party in her home state on Saturday, as party delegates voted overwhelmingly to support her Democrat challenger in the November election.  For those unfamiliar with California’s odd voting system, candidates from all parties run in open primaries in June, and the top two vote-getters then face off in the general election.

In the June primary, the far-left Feinstein easily bested her far, far, far, far-left opponent, state assemblyman Kevin de Leon, winning 44 percent of the vote to his 12 percent.  But de Leon won the endorsement vote from the executive board members by a whopping 65 to 7 margin, with 28 percent choosing not to endorse either candidate.  Breathtaking.

I’ve been around a long time and I can’t remember any long-time U.S. senator receiving this kind of overwhelming rebuke from their own political party.  The only good news for Feinstein is that she’ll no doubt get 90+ percent of the vote from Republican and independent voters who will find de Leon even more radical than she is.  So she’ll most likely survive to hold her senate seat into her 90s (she’s 85 now), which is precious little comfort to normal people out here in flyover country.

Speaking of the November mid-term elections, I’ve had several inquiries about where I think things are headed, so now would be a good time for a mid-year update.

Those who followed me throughout the 2016 campaign will know that I believe the overall public mood is a far bigger and more important influence over the balance of power outcome of national elections than are the nitty gritty details that the inside-the-Beltway pundits tend to focus on.  This is a more prominent influence during presidential election years than in mid-terms, but it is still a major factor.

That belief is why I began telling my clients and readers in October 2015 that I believed Donald Trump would win the presidency.  The clear mood of the vast majority of the public in 2016 was for change – real, fundamental change in the direction of the country after our disastrous 8-year experiment with community organizer radicalism, which had corrupted every institution of our government.  Among all of the primary candidates in both parties, Donald Trump, by October 2015, was the only truly viable candidate offering real change.

So, even while micro-analysts like Nate Silver were giving Hillary a 97 percent chance of winning and most of the polls showed her holding big leads in the months leading up to Election Day, I held to the belief that the overall mood in favor of real, radical change would end up prevailing and Trump would become the next POTUS.  On the Sunday prior to Election Day, I predicted he’d win 311 electoral votes, overshooting his final total by five.

The overriding public mood this far in advance of Election Day, 2018 is more difficult to read.  Which, frankly, is good news for the GOP, because the absence of a clear public mood mitigates in favor of the status quo.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of the Democrat Party and its fake news media guardians, the public is more divided than at any time since perhaps 1860.  The President’s base of support has only grown more loyal and unshakable over the first 19 months of his presidency, and he now polls better among self-identifying Republicans than any of his predecessors.  But the radical leftist Democrat base of support has only grown more radical over the same period of time, making it very difficult to determine if the majority inertia among the electorate is for change or for preservation of the status quo.

Again, the lack of any clear indication that this will be a real change election also mitigates in favor of the GOP, which holds majorities in both houses of congress, and which is only defending 9 senate seats as opposed to 25 the Democrats must defend.

So, here’s my current thinking on the ultimate outcome:

If the election were held today, the Rs would retain control of the House – barely – and gain a bigger majority in the Senate, with maybe 54 or 55 total seats.  There would be no impeachment action on the horizon, and President Trump would be an overwhelming favorite to be re-elected in 2020.

But the election is four months away, and much can change between now and November. If November comes around and nothing has changed in the current status quo related to all the Obama-era bad actors, the election will go very badly for the Rs.

Right now, the GOP base is pumped up, but it’s only because of President Trump, not due to anything the Republican congress has accomplished.  The tax cuts are great, but they are also old news at this point, and voters in November are going to be asking what have you done for me lately?  Congress’s failure to act on Obamacare last year and the steadfast refusal by Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell to really make a push for funding the border wall will be big issues this fall in the minds of GOP voters.  Should the Senate somehow fail to confirm Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court by Election Day, that also will be a huge negative for the Republicans.

There is also great and growing dissatisfaction among the GOP base with Attorney General Jeff Sessions and the lack of any real law enforcement action being taken against the myriad bad actors within his Department.  If we get to November and no one has been indicted, Rod Rosenstein still has his job, Robert Mueller is still indicting Russian ham sandwiches at strategic moments, Peter Strzok still has his security clearances, Andrew McCabe and James Comey are still walking around free and unindicted men, and Hillary Clinton still appears to be immune from the laws of the land, then GOP voter enthusiasm will fall through the floor.

If, on the other hand, November comes around and a bunch of indictments have been served on a bunch of these terrible people and maybe Hillary Clinton and John and Tony Podesta to boot, then the GOP will pick up net seats in the elections and possibly finish the increasingly-radicalizing Democrat Party off for a generation.

It is not an overstatement to say that the entire future of our country hinges on the real nature of Jeff Sessions.  Is he just another corrupt Washington, D.C. swamp rat?  Or has he, along with Michael Horowitz, John Huber and others just been biding his time, executing a plan that will result in the beginning of real enforcement actions following the issuance of Horowitz’s report on the abuse of the FISA process several weeks from now?

Good questions.  The time for finding out is growing short.

Just another day in Jeff Sessions is holding all the keys America.

That is all.

Think of the FBI as the Deepwater Horizon, Because that’s what it is

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

There really is no mystery here… – Mark Levin was going off on Fox News last night, railing as only he can do in disbelief about the reality that the “greatest threat to our democracy in 2016 was not any foreign country…it was our own government,” which is absolutely true, and that “I can’t believe we don’t have a special counsel…or a blue ribbon commission investigating our own government.”

Well, think about why that’s the case – this is very, very important.  If we had an overwhelming clamor from the members of either political party in congress to appoint a SC or commission to perform a real investigation into what actually happened at the highest levels of the Obama Administration during our last national election, we’d have one by now.  By the same token, if we had a clamor in our fake national news media for the creation of such an investigative entity, we would have had one long ago.

What do we have instead?  Utter silence from congressional Democrats, which was totally predictable.  Some clamoring from 10 or so of the more conservative Republicans in congress, but the again predictable silence from the far more numerous swamp creatures in the GOP caucus.  In the media we don’t have silence on the matter, we have outright hostility to the concept of an independent investigation from the 95% of them who are nothing but propaganda agents for the Democrat Party.

This is the DC Swamp at its finest – or its worst, depending on how you want to classify it.  This is the creatures of the swamp working as hard as they can to preserve their status quo in the face of the onslaught from Donald Trump and his handful of loyal lieutenants.  These people couldn’t care less that our DOJ and FBI were utterly corrupted in 2016 and attempted to fix a presidential election and then go on to try to literally frame a sitting President.  They look at that and think, yeah, we need to preserve that model so we can pick the next POTUS – leaving things up to the voters is obviously too risky.

So, that’s why Mr. Levin is so frustrated this morning and why he is going to remain frustrated – given our current situation, his expectations are simply unrealistic.  The truth is that our only hope for actual justice for the conspirators is that Michael Horowitz and John Huber really are honest brokers and that Jeff Sessions really has been playing the long game, awaiting the eventual release of Horowitz’s final report before beginning prosecution, as many believe.

As I pointed out in last night’s Evening Campaign Update, if you look at yesterday’s IG report as setting the stage for his next one, you have reason to be encouraged in that regard.  If not, you’re probably feeling a lot like Mr. Levin, which is very bad for your blood pressure.

Think of the FBI as the Deepwater Horizon in full flame  – because that’s what it is this morning.  The IG report wasn’t a major disaster for the environment, but it is a major disaster for the agency’s reputation, just as the Deepwater Horizon event in 2011 was a major disaster for the reputation of BP.

Sadly for the FBI, it is led by a current Director, Christopher Wray, who appears to be every bit as inept and clueless as BP’s then-CEO, Tony Hayward was.  Many of you will remember Hayward, a guy who may or may not have been well-meaning, but who had the amazing singular talent of literally pissing off everyone in the known universe whenever he opened his mouth in the wake of that disaster.

There he was, with a gaggle of reporters on some Louisiana beach, as his un-plugged well continued to pour millions of gallons of crude oil into the Gulf of Mexico, uttering meaningless platitudes about how his company takes safety deadly seriously and his plans to implement even stricter processes, procedures and training sessions going forward, and then including the off-hand remark about how he wanted to “get my life back,” as if anyone should actually feel sorry for a guy who was probably knocking down more than $20 million a year at that time.

The good thing for BP was that, after about another half-dozen of such horrifically embarrassing Hayward brain farts, they put him on the first jet back to England and replaced him with another leader who was far more competent and able to steward the company through the disaster and recover its reputation.

Yesterday, we had the spectacle of Christopher Wray prancing cockily up to the podium for his press conference, looking for all the world like a 17 year-old stud jock prancing into the principal’s office knowing nothing was going to happen to him.  Wray then proceeded to piss literally everyone on the planet off with an opening statement filled with with meaningless platitudes, promises that he and his senior staff will learn their lessons from this report and discussion about all the new training he’s going to make every agent in the agency go through, including “political bias” training.  He then spent the other half of his statement talking about how wonderful the FBI’s “rank and file” is.  Holy crap.

This is all the sort of thing terrible leaders do when they want to pretend to be doing something about a problem while doing nothing real about it:  Spread the blame around, lay the issue off on the entire organization in order to deflect attention from the actual bad actors and diffuse accountability and avoid making the tough decisions that would be required to really correct the problem.

Look, there is no mystery anymore about what the FBI’s “policial bias” problem was during 2016:  It was filled at the top by Barack Obama loyalists and Hillary Clinton fans who hated the GOP presidential nominee and wanted to prevent him from becoming President.  Their big problem was that the Pantsuit Princess is a career criminal who had engaged in thousands of violations of the U.S. Espionage Act, and they had to find some way to keep her out of federal prison.  Their inherent bias was so pervasive and overriding all other considerations that those running the fake investigation never even designated the Pantsuit Princess as a “subject” of the investigation.

While the Executive Summary of yesterday’s Horowitz Report does its best to obfuscate all of that, the bowels of the report lay it all out in devastatingly plain language.  Where the Executive Summary claims to find no evidence that political bias played a role in the conduct of the fake investigation, the report itself lays out example after example after example of stark, unmasked political bias by a multitude of FBI personnel.

Firings of every agent listed as a violator in the report is the only way for the feckless Wray to really address the reputational disaster that took place in 2016.  Prosecutions are the only way for the DOJ to actually address it after the firings.  Any measures short of that are just meaningless bureaucratic nonsense practiced by terrible leaders who are seeking to preserve the status quo.

Wray indicated yesterday that he is the FBI’s Tony Hayward, a cocky, clueless man out of his depth who simply needs to be replaced.  He has until about Monday to begin to reverse that assessment by making the firings that obviously need to be made.  Barring that, he just needs firing, because his agency is a burning deepwater platform in full flame and he isn’t the guy to put out the fire.

Just another day in the FBI is a raging dumpster fire America.

That is all.

This IG Report is Devastating for the FBI; The Next One Will be Even Worse

Evening Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

I expected to be moderately disappointed today, but instead am feeling pleasantly surprised.  This IG Report is actually quite devastating for the FBI, which is exactly what it should be.  Michael Horowitz has done his job admirably.

First, a little house-cleaning…

  • Most, if not all of the mainstream, fake media organizations are rushing to get their clickbait “BREAKING” reports out based on reading the report’s Executive Summary only.  That summary is written in a way to intentionally soften the media reaction to the report, and feed the fake media’s confirmation bias that this thing is no big deal.  So the reporting we’re seeing from those outlets so far is very predictable. Great work, DOJ!
  • It seems, at least on the surface, that Comey’s going to be given a pass on his role in all of this.  Based on what I’ve read so far, I don’t expect a criminal referral related to him, despite all the “insubordinate” behavior he engaged in on Hillary’s behalf.
  • There are no criminal referrals in this report – there were never going to be.  Those come later, if there are going to be any.  Remember the Andrew McCabe report a couple of months back?  That one had no criminal referrals in it, either.  Horowitz issued a referral to Sessions on McCabe later on the same day the report was released, but that was very fast for a reason – they were working to get McCabe out of the FBI by the next Monday, and the report was released on a Friday.
  • There are, however, internal disciplinary referrals on 5 FBI employees contained in the report, including on Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.  Strzok specifically has been referred to the internal Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) for further internal investigation.
  • There also may never be any criminal referrals at all related to this specific report.  As I pointed out this morning, we have to remember that, despite the huge size of this 500 page report, its scope is very limited – only to the conduct of its fake investigation into the Clinton email scandal.  We have to remember that fake investigation did not involve criminal activity like defrauding the FISA courts or illegal unmaskings or faking 302 reports.  Those were related to operation Crossfire Hurricane and other DOJ/FBI shenanigans that are the subject of Horowitz’s pending, final report.
  • So the focus of the report is on the internal process followed, and violations of FBI protocols, because that’s what this particular investigation was focused on.

There.  Clear as mud?

Now, what this report does a great job of is setting the stage for the next report, which will be the climax of Horowitz’s work.  It’s like Act I  of a three act play.

Here is the scene it sets:

  • The FBI in 2016 was a place in which Horowitz documents “numerous FBI employees, at all levels of the organization” – including some senior ones – accepting bribes against agency policy from multiple news media outlets.  Meals, golf outings, sports tickets, you name it, these people were getting it from their favored leak recipients.
  • The FBI in 2016 was a place that leaked like a sieve to those very same media outlets.
  • The FBI in 2016 was a place run by long-time associates and fans of Hillary Clinton.  Comey has known her for 20 years, Page and Strzok worshipped her, Andy McCabe’s wife was taking gobs of money from her former bagman, Terry McAuliffe while McCabe himself was helping fix the agency’s fake investigation into her email “problem.”
  • The FBI in 2016 was a place at which the outcome of an “investigation” would be determined months in advance of even interviewing the suspect or her senior staffers, a place where the final report of an investigation was already drafted months prior to said intervews.
  • Even worse, the FBI in 2016 was a place where the senior agent running the fake investigation was aware that many of Clinton’s emails had been intercepted by foreign governments, and did his best to cover up that fact.
  • The FBI in 2016 was a place where a stunning revelation that more than 600,000 of Clinton’s emails, including many containing classified and secret information, were found on the PC of the disgusting pedophile husband of Clinton’s longtime companion, and that revelation would go completely unaddressed in any way for more than a month.
  • The FBI in 2016 was a place in which the Director made decisions vitally important to the well-being of a nation of 315 million people base on his certainty that Hillary Clinton was going to ultimately win the election.
  • The FBI in 2016 was a place in which the Director, his chief counsel and the deputy chief of the counterintelligence division all used their personal GMail accounts to conduct official business and transmit and receive classified information.
  • The FBI in 2016 was a place in which that deputy chief of counterintelligence, which asked by his mistress to assure her that Trump couldn’t win the election, replied “No.  We’ll stop it”.

All of this and no doubt much more is clearly laid out in this Horowitz report.  There will be much more revealed as everyone has a chance to comb through it over the next 24 hours.

This is a picture of an agency – supposedly the nation’s premier law-enforcement agency – that was out of control, overwhelmingly biased and utterly corrupt.  That is a devastating picture.

End of Act I

Horowitz Report Drops Today – Teen Drama Queens Prepping Their Defense

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

[Note:  The wonderful photoshop that accompanies this piece was constructed by a loyal Campaign Update reader who asked to be credited only as  dagalas.]

Hey, y’all, so far this week, President Donald Trump has gotten the Democrats and the fake news media to endorse:

– War games
– Nuclear weapons
– Refusing to negotiate with despots (where were they when Obama did that Iran deal?)
– Neverending war on the Korean peninsula

And it’s only Thursday morning!

PSA: Those loud noises you are hearing right now are just the sounds of liberal heads exploding…. – Two Norwegian lawmakers formally nominated President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize on Wednesday.  The two are of course described as “right-leaning” members of Norway’s “Progress Party, which advocates for limited immigration and shrinking the size of government.”  Gosh, such radical ideas, wanting to preserve your country’s native culture and holding down the size of government.  If we didn’t have biased, stupid media, we would have no media at all in America.

And speaking of biased, stupid, fake news media…

“Ok, the President had a really great summit in Singapore, sadly.  So, here’s what we do:  ABC, you go with the fake report about Michael Cohen turning on Trump.  CBS, you toss out the false report about Sarah Sanders resigning.  CNN, well, you have the porn star franchise, so get on it!” –  Seriously, it’s like clockwork:  Any time President Donald Trump (I still never tire of typing those three words) has a domestic or international triumph, all the fake news media outlets start pumping out fake news stories designed to distract attention.

If that seems like a coordinated plan to you, that’s because it is a coordinated plan.  This is what your fake news media is in today’s world:  They aren’t “news” organizations, they are propaganda arms of the Democrat Party.  It’s been this way for quite some time now – at least since 1992, but really since shortly following World War II.

It’s become more amplified since November 2016 because the people at the top of these organizations are increasingly desperate.  With every successive act of #Winning, President Trump reveals the DC “Establishment” – mainly Democrats but also a raft of disloyal Republicans – to be a decades-long utter fraud perpetrated on the American people.  Tuesday’s election results, in which a challenger loyal to the President – Katie Arrington – knocked off longtime DC swamp creature Mark Sanford in South Carolina in a very surprising upset, only served to heighten the fake media’s panic.

And guess what?  Today is the day the next report from DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz drops.  Just imagine the frenzied flood of freakin’ news-fakery we are about to be treated to in the wake of that document going public at 3:00 ET this afternoon.  It will be glorious.

Several readers have asked this week what we should expect from this next Horowitz report.  My only honest answer is, hell if I know.  There are reasons to be concerned about what it might – or more likely, might not – contain, and reasons to be optimistic about it.

First, it is key to remember that the scope of this report is limited:  It only covers the DOJ/FBI conduct of its blatantly fake investigation into the Clinton email scandal, an investigation that we already know was little more than a desperate coverup designed to keep Barack Obama’s favored candidate from going to federal prison.  Horowitz is still working on a more comprehensive, subsequent report whose scope is far broader and will cover all of the DOJ/FBI efforts to fix the 2016 election and spy on the Trump Campaign, transition team and administration.

The main reason to be concerned about today’s report is that Horowitz has no doubt been placed under massive pressure internally at DOJ to mealy-mouth his findings.  We’ve already seen one report that the report will find ex-FBI Director and current teenage drama queen James Comey to have been “insubordinate”, but probably will not find him to have committed any crimes.  If that account – based of course on anonymous sources only – is accurate, then this report is a major fraud given that we already know beyond any shadow of a doubt that Comey has committed multiple perjuries before congressional committees and illegally leaked classified information to the New York Times.

So, right off the bat, we will have that barometer to inform us conclusively on the relative usefulness of this report.

The next big concern is how much of the report will be redacted.  We must remember that bad actors like Rod Rosenstein have had their greasy fingers all over this report for the past three weeks as it has gone through its review process.  Under Rosenstein’s incredibly corrupt leadership, DOJ has become notorious for redacting vast passages of documents under claims to be protecting national security, only to have it revealed later that the redacted information was merely embarrassing to the Department.  If Rosenstein has had his way with this report, we can expect that less than half of it will actually be open for public review.

But there are also reasons for optimism that this report will at least move the ball forward towards cleaning up some of the DOJ corruption and getting the process of perp-walking and prosecuting the key bad actors underway:

  • Horowitz himself has already agreed to testify before the House Oversight Committee next Monday, and that testimony will be offered under oath and threat of prosecution for perjury.  If he has been forced to make inaccurate changes to his report and the Republican members of that committee have the presence of mind to ask the right questions (we know the Democrats will only try to cover things up) then we can expect Horowitz to offer honest answers.  Or we can hope he will, anyway.
  • Horowitz is considered by most everyone to be one of the good guys, for good reason.  Yes, he served during the Obama Administration, but he was constantly engaged in fights with Obama’s corrupt attorneys general, who did everything they could to deny him the right to conduct his oversight responsibilities.
  • Then there’s the fact that, as noted above, this report has been circulating within DOJ for three weeks and also reportedly shared with the congressional “Gang of 8” – which includes notorious hacks like Dianne Feinstein and Adam Schiff – and none of it has been leaked to the press.  You can be damn sure if the original text of this report exonerated James Comey or Andrew McCabe or Peter Strzok or Lisa Page or any of the other bad actors within the FBI and DOJ, that news would have long ago appeared in the New York Times or Washington Post.  The fact that that has not happened gives us cause to hope that Horowitz has done his job.

A word of caution:  Reports like this are never fully satisfying to anyone.  Regardless of how hard Horowitz might have tried, it is literally impossible to fully keep political motivations out of any 500 page report produced in Washington, DC.

It is also very likely that those of us hoping for full justice will be initially mislead by what might seem to be inconclusive findings or mealy-mouthed language in the report, only to find out later that it is in fact extremely damaging to the subject.  It’s key to remember that Horowitz himself is not the prosecutor here:  His job is to simply lay out the facts, though he does have the power to make criminal referrals if he so chooses.

Once the report is out, the job of prosecuting the bad actors falls to the relevant U.S. attorney.  So, while you might initially be disappointed by language that, say, finds “insubordination” or “ignoring of departmental rules” by a James Comey or Andrew McCabe, we may discover later on that a prosecuting attorney finds that to be evidence of criminal conduct.

Bottom line:  I don’t know what’s in this report yet, but we’ll all have a pretty good idea by about 5:00 this afternoon.  Stay tuned.

Just another day on the poop is about to hit the fan America.

That is all.

If ABC’s Report Is Accurate, James Comey Really is Just a Teenage Drama Queen

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this Winning yet? – I’ve never had much use for anyone named Kardashian, but damned if Kim Kardashian West didn’t finally do something positive with her fame.  Of course, it took President Donald Trump (I never tire of typing those three words) to bring out the #Winner she always had deep inside.

On Wednesday, President Trump, based on a plea from Ms. Kardashian West, announced a full commutation of the life sentence that was despicably given to Alice Marie Johnson for non-violent drug offenses in 1996.  In announcing the clemency action, the White House issued the following statement:

“Ms. Johnson has accepted responsibility for her past behavior and has been a model prisoner over the past two decades. Despite receiving a life sentence, Alice worked hard to rehabilitate herself in prison, and act as a mentor to her fellow inmates.  While this administration will always be very tough on crime, it believes that those who have paid their debt to society and worked hard to better themselves while in prison deserve a second chance.”
This is such an odd case, in that Kim K. and others lobbied hard for Barack Obama, who pardoned thousands of drug offenders, many of whom were violent, hardened, unrepentant offenders, during his terms in office, to act on Ms. Johnson’s case.  But for some reason, most likely because there was nothing in it for himself, Obama refused to act on this case of a non-violent grandmother who was given such an absurdly harsh sentence.

But then, Obama also could not be convinced by Sylvester Stallone and others to issue the pardon for boxing great Jack Johnson, either.  Such an odd, odd man.

Naturally, the fake news hacks at CNN got this line of BS from some unidentified Obama shill on the matter:

“President Barack Obama did not intervene in the case during his eight years in office because the Justice Department recommended denying Johnson’s request for a commutation. Three requests were made — one during his first term, two during his second — that were rejected, including a final plea on January 6, 2017, only days before Obama left office.
The requests never reached Obama’s desk, a senior Obama administration official tells CNN, because he followed Justice Department recommendations.”

Thus, we are to believe that Barack Obama pardoned hundreds of often-violent drug offenders – far more such offenders than the previous 7 presidents combined – because that was the recommendation of his utterly corrupted Justice Department.  Ok, actually, that’s totally believable, come to think of it.  Now it all makes absolute sense.  My goodness.

Hey, maybe they should have just revoked his recess privileges and sent him to study hall. –

So, James Comey’s media friends, led by the hacks at ABC, got busy on Wednesday rolling out what will obviously be his line of defense to the pending report from Inspector General Michael Horowitz.  This line goes like this:  The ex-FBI Director and current teenage drama queen might have been “insubordinate” and maybe, just maybe he “defied authority,” but darn it, he didn’t do anything “illegal.”

And besides, he “defied authority” and “ignored agency guidelines” not to protect the Pantsuit Princess, but to protect the country!!!!!!

So, just as Comey himself, working in concert with the deep state fake media lapdogs, cleared the Fainting Felon by declaring her to be “extremely careless” instead of the proper “criminally negligent” in the handling of national secrets, so Comey’s fake news buddies will attempt to clear him using tortured rationalizations to describe obviously criminal behavior.

Readers have no doubt noticed that I’ve been referring to Comey in recent weeks as a “teenage drama queen.”  This is because much of his goofy book reads like a teenage girl’s diary.

But it occurs to me that these descriptions of his behavior – “defied authority”, “insubordination,” “ignored guidelines” – all describe the behavior of the classic teenage drama queen.  The ABC story reads like a note you parents might have gotten from your son’s or daughter’s junior high principal when your kids were in their rebellious years.  If ABC is to be believed, it appears that Mr. Comey entered into his junior high rebellious phase along about the Spring of 2016.

Or hey, maybe Comey reads the Campaign Update each morning, and just decided to adopt my taunts as a defense strategy.  Who knows, it might work out for him.

In all seriousness, let’s remember a couple of salient points about the Pantsuit Princess’s email scandal, which is the subject of this next IG report:

  • Barack Obama, the President of the United States, knew her private email address and used it for official business, something Comey and the FBI refused to ever look into;
  • The FBI never made any effort to seize the DNC’s email server, which the DNC claimed to have been hacked, never made any real effort at all to determine if that claim was true or not;
  • The Fainting Felon’s longtime companion Huma Abedin was forwarding all of her private emails to a computer used by her pervert husband to prey on little girls.

Those are just three of the most heinous among dozens of outstanding questions about this scandal, questions that Comey’s FBI made no real effort to truly investigate.  Given all of that, if what ABC reports is truly the worst that the IG’s report has to say about the Teenage Drama Queen, then Mr. Horowitz is obviously useless and this entire charade is just more deep state Kabuki theater.

All we can do is wait and see, and the waiting to see is getting very, very old.

Just another day in let’s hope this isn’t just more Kabuki theater America.

That is all.

Another Trump Troll, Another IG Report Delay to End the Week

The Evening Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

“Ok, so here’s the strategy on this latest huge jobs report.  We all do a 10-second report on it as soon as it’s issued and then just drop it like we always d…wait, what?  The President just did what?  He tweeted about it?  You have got to be sh…ok, that’s a huge story – gotta go report on it!” – The President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, got in one final troll of the fake news media before the weekend Friday morning when he issued a tweet prior to the release of this month’s latest fantastic jobs report:

As you can see, the tweet reveals absolutely no information about the report itself, yet it set off a mad scramble among pretty much every fake reporter in the fake news media to see who could be the first to get a report out claiming that the tweet “breached protocol” with some stories even claiming it to be a crime.  Hilarious, and obviously idiotically fake stuff.

This was an obvious troll by the President to force the fake news media, which has in past months barely even mentioned the stunning jobs growth being experienced in the Trump economy, to actually do their jobs.  So, while all the fake reporters and fake editors no doubt believed their fake reports were damaging the President they all hate, the fact is that millions of Americans today learned that the economy added far more jobs in April than anyone expected, and the economy is nearing actual full employment.

Had Trump not issued that tweet, yet another in a long string of fantastic jobs reports would have gone basically ignored by our fake national news media.  The joke’s on you guys, even though you probably still don’t even realize it.

IG Report Delayed, yet again. – Charles Grassley postponed the scheduled June 5 hearing of his Senate Judiciary Committee to review the long-pending DOJ Inspector General’s report on the FBI’s fake investigation into the Hillary Clinton email scandal.  The hearing is now tentatively scheduled for June 11, meaning Grassley now expects the report to be made public late next week.

These delaying games being endlessly played by DOJ are incredibly tiresome.  No telling what is being done to that report as time goes on and bad actors like Rod Rosenstein have it in their greasy hands.

On a related note, the news fakers at the Washington Post reported late Thursday that ex-FBI Director and current teenage drama queen James Comey was interviewed “recently” by D.C.-based U.S. attorneys leading the prosecution of his ex-Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe.  McCabe is facing charges for repeatedly lying to DOJ investigators and making unauthorized leaks to the news media, which he claims his boss – the teenage drama queen – knew all about.  Comey denies McCabe’s story, and thus prosecutors will almost certainly be left with trying to sort out which of the two famous – and infamous – liars to believe.

It’s a tough job, but somebody’s gotta do it.

That is all.

Trump Uses the Pardon Power to Reverse the Thuggish DOJ/FBI Legacy

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Democrats in Action!  Part I – The Daily Caller reports this morning that an admitted pedophile who once threatened to assassinate President George W. Bush is now an “independent” congressional candidate thanks to the efforts of despicable former Virginia Governor and long-time Clinton bag man Terry McAuliffe.

Per the Caller:

“Nathan Larson is an independent candidate in Virginia who admitted to HuffPost that he’s a pedophile who bragged in blog posts about raping his ex-wife and fantasized online about having sex with young children.

Larson is also a convicted felon who wouldn’t be eligible to run for office in Virginia had McAuliffe not restored Larson’s rights to vote and run for office in 2016.

Larson was sentenced to 16 months in prison in October 2009 for threatening to kill the president.”

Virginia law cancels voting rights for convicted felons, but McAuliffe, in a desperate effort to fix the 2016 election in his state for the Pantsuit Princess, issued an executive order in 2016 restoring voting rights to more than 10,000 convicted felons in the state, most of whom he obviously expected to vote Democrat.  Gee, wonder why?

So now Larson’s running for Congress thanks to the despicable actions of a despicable man.  Way to go, Democrats!

Democrats in Action!  Part II – Speaking of Virginia Democrats, some guy named Dan Helmer is running for congress in the state’s 10th congressional district against incumbent Republican Barbara Comstock.  Although completely overshadowed by all the hysteria surrounding Roseanne Barr and Samantha Bee, Helmer’s new TV ad created controversy yesterday because it equates the current President of the United States to Osama Bin Laden.

I would say this is a new low for Democrats, but is it really?  They’ve gone so low so many times that it becomes almost impossible to tell anymore.

One thing is for sure:  Virginia’s Democrats are just loading up the November ballot with scumbags, which they obviously believe is the right strategy for appealing to the state’s voters.  Hey, they voted for McAuliffe twice, so sound legit to me.

Democrats in Action!  Part III – Famed liberal poll analyst Nate Silver, who was hilariously wrong about every.  little.  thing during the 2016 election campaign, has a post up on his website this morning titled…wait for it…”Which Pollsters to Trust in 2018.”  I swear I don’t make this stuff up. Who could?

Tired of all this Winning yet? – President Donald Trump issued a pardon on Thursday for conservative film-maker Dinesh D’Souza, in an obvious jab at both former U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara (who Trump fired) and former FBI Director and current teenage drama queen James Comey (who Trump also fired).

D’Souza had been made an example of by the corrupt Obama Justice Department and FBI after he had produced a film critical of America’s Biggest Mistake, Mr. Obama.  Bharara and Comey’s FBI turned D’Souza into a literal political prisoner for having contributed $20,000 to a New York political candidate, allegedly exceeding the contribution limits by encouraging others to also contribute.  The filmmaker plead guilty after Bharara had Comey’s agents raid his home and threatened to add additional charges for the same alleged actions that could have resulted in 5 years in federal prison.

In other words, Bharara was using exactly the tactics that Special Counsel Robert Mueller used to browbeat General Mike Flynn into his guilty plea last November – do it, or we’ll completely destroy your life.  This is Gestapo stuff, not anything that should happen in America.  But don’t kid yourselves:  it happens all the time.

Talking to reporters later in the day, the President speculated he might also pardon Martha Stewart, who then-FBI Director Mueller’s thugs also browbeat into a guilty plea for lying to investigators in 2004.  You may have thought the home designer served her 5 months in prison for “insider trading” – the allegation that led to the FBI’s inquisition of her, but you’d be wrong.

Curiously – and somewhat hilariously – the President also speculated that he might even pardon former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich, who was sent to prison for allegedly selling the senate seat Obama vacated in 2007 to the highest bidder.  Fans of the Celebrity Apprentice will remember that Blago actually was a contestant on that show while he was awaiting trial.  Since his conviction, evidence of FBI thuggery and prosecutors withholding of exculpatory evidence have come to light, which should at this point surprise absolutely no one with actively firing synapses in their brain.

The U.S. Attorney in that case?  Patrick Fitzgerald, the infamous Bush-era Special Counsel who basically framed Scooter Libby, who, by the way, Trump also pardoned a few weeks ago.  The FBI Director at the time?  First Robert Mueller, later James Comey.   So that case is a two-fer.

Now that he’s pretty much finished erasing the horrid, un-American legacy of Barack Obama, President Trump seems intent on erasing the equally repugnant legacy of America’s Gestapo.  Awesome.

Just another day in Donald Trump’s America.

That is all.

Grassley Schedules Hearing; Horowitz Report About to Drop

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

This was inevitable. – Roseanne Barr self-destructed on Tuesday, sending out a racist tweet targeting Barack Obama’s loathsome toady Valerie Jarrett, which resulted in her show being cancelled by the end of the day by Disney’s CEO Bob Iger.  Some of you have inquired over the last several weeks about why I haven’t said much of anything about the great success of Roseanne’s TV show revival, in which her character is a fan of President Trump.  Now you know.

Look, I never cared for Roseanne Barr to begin with and pretty much never watched her show when it was in its first run.  I found her to be personally repugnant, none of the characters on the show to be especially appealing or sympathetic, and the show itself to be inappropriate for the kids.  Why would things be any different 25 years later?

Plus, Roseanne herself is crazy, and some episode in which she personally imploded was frankly inevitable.  No one should ever hang their hat on some nutty celebrity – the same goes for Kanye West, who has been famously complimentary of the President in recent weeks as well.  He’s also a nut, and a personal implosion is pretty much inevitably in his future as well.

And please don’t respond to this with all these moral equivalency statements.  Yes, I know all sorts of leftist celebrities and fake news media personalities have made all sorts of racist and homophobic statements and tweets, and none of them get fired.  I don’t care – it’s how the media/entertainment complex double standard works.  If celebrities like Barr and Kanye don’t like it and can’t control their mouths then they shouldn’t engage in it.

Roseanne needed firing – I dislike Disney as much as anyone, but Iger really had no choice in the matter.  And all the people out there in social media trying to mount a campaign to get Fox to pick up the show are idiots.  Neither Fox nor anyone else would touch Roseanne with a 100-foot pole right now.

Roseanne is done – her only choice now is to do a Mel Gibson, disappear for about 5 years, and hope everyone forgets.  Sadly for her, they won’t.

Expect the Horowitz Report later this week. – Why?  Because Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley took the action late yesterday to schedule a June 5 hearing of his committee to examine the findings in the DOJ Inespector General’s report on the department’s fake investigation into the Pantsuit Princess email scandal and other Clinton-related matters.  No called witnesses are listed on the notice, but we can assume Horowitz will be one of them.

This obviously means that Grassley expects the report to be made public prior to that time, which makes sense given that it has been circulating within DOJ for almost three weeks now.  We should probably expect to see it late Friday.

Just as a reminder, this report ostensibly deals only with the Fainting Felon’s email abuse and the Comey-led, rigged investigation conducted by the FBI and DOJ.  It will also cover other related matters, whatever they might be.  It is not supposed to touch on all the rampant FISA abuse, the Uranium One scandal, the “Crossfire Hurricane” effort to spy on the Trump campaign and transition team, the illegal unmaskings, and all the other Obama-era process abuses at DOJ, FBI and the CIA, among others.

Those myriad abuses by the Obama Administration will be addressed in a subsequent IG report, which will hopefully come before the end of the century.  Ok, just kidding – it’s supposed to come sometime this summer.

But here’s the thing about that subsequent report:  the content of the report we are about to see will give us a very usable preview of what to expect in the next report.  If this upcoming report from the IG is just an effort to whitewash the whole thing and give Comey/Strzok/Page/Ohr/Baker/Priestap and others at FBI and DOJ a pass, the we can expect the subsequent report to do the same, and quit worrying about it all.

But if this IG report on the email scandal is a hard-hitting, no-nonsense report of the sort Mr. Horowitz is famous for – and that his report on Andrew McCabe’s actions certainly was – then we can be optimistic that the final report will be of similar quality.

The anticipation of waiting for this IG report reminds me of what I wrote shortly after Comey made his famous speech on July 6 , 2016 exonerating the Pantsuit Princess at the conclusion of his rigged investigation:

The tragedy of James Comey is one of lost opportunity. He and he alone had a chance – possibly the last chance anyone will ever have if Hillary is elected in November – to demonstrate that one of the foundational principles of the American Experiment still applies.

That foundational principle is that we are a country in which all people are indeed created equal. That this is a country that has no ruling class. That this is a nation of laws, not of men, and that the laws that apply to the lowest among us apply equally to those who attain the highest public status.

James Comey alone could have become a true American hero by showing that this principle still applies in our society. Because he lacked either the character or the courage to do so, he demonstrated, perhaps irrevocably, that the opposite is now true in Barack Obama’s fundamentally transformed America. We do now have a ruling class; we are no longer a nation of laws, but a nation of men; the law truly does apply differently to different people depending entirely on their class and political power.

It’s a tragedy, plain and simple.  Nothing else matters or need be said.

Michael Horowitz now has the same opportunity that Comey had almost two years ago – he can be remembered either as the steadfast public servant who, like Admiral Mike Rogers and Representive Devin Nunes, did everything he could to save the Republic, or just another tragic functionary in a hopelessly-corrupted Department of Justice.

Let’s hope he makes the right choice.  I’m not even going to hazard a guess.

Just another day in Michael Horowitz is the man of the hour America.

That is all.

The Deep State and its Media Enablers Need Better Talking Points

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

The North Korea Summit is cancelled!!!!  Woo-hooooooo!!!! Kim wins!!!! Break out the champagne!!!!  Oh, wait, it may be back on?  Trump sandbagged us again?  Isn’t there a plane crash or school shooting we can report on instead? – As we noted in Friday morning’s Campaign Update, Thursday was a day of anti-American celebration in the nation’s fake news media and among Democrat officials everywhere, as they all thought that President Trump’s letter “cancelling” the scheduled June 12 summit meeting with the Crazy Little Fat Guy in North Korea had produced a victory for their favorite brutal dictator, and a loss for their hated U.S. President.

All the celebrations and snarky remarks suddenly gave way to disappointment and subject-shifting on Friday, as Kim Jong Un issued communications making it clear he is anxious to move forward with the meeting, and President Trump and other U.S. officials said there was a chance the June 12 meeting might still take place after all.  The toothy smiles displayed on Thursday by the on-air fake talent at CNN and MSNBC gave way to pouty frowns as it became suddenly obvious to even the dimmest bulbs at the two fakest news channels that they and their Democrat buddies had been presidentially trolled yet again.

So they did what fake editors and fake reporters and fake talking heads always do and shifted the subject to something else, like the ever-reliable fake Russia Collusion fantasy play.

Speaking of which, the detestable deep state snake John Brennan (who has just got to be the role model for the Dar Adol character on “Homeland” – those who watch that show will know what I’m talking about), who has spent his entire career warping reality to fit the deep state’s preferred narrative of the day, on Friday told some fake interviewer that President Trump is  “masterful at… twisting the truth in order to support his narrative.”  Pot, meet kettle.

Brennan also spent a great deal of time parroting James Comey’s and James Clapper’s tortured distinctions between what is a “spy” as opposed to what constitutes a “confidential source.”  Note to deep state coup cabal participants:  If you are having to spend weeks attempting to redefine terms like “spy” and “spying” when the public is already aware of tons of proof that you sent “spies” into the Trump Campaign and transition team to “spy” on them, you are in deep, deep doo-doo.  Even deeper than the doo-doo you normally gladly inhabit.

Of course, this joint media/Democrat/Comey/Clapper/Brennan effort to redefine what the words “spy” and “spying” mean is just the latest iteration in the evolution of their response to the steady drip-drip-drip of proof that the Obama Administration conspired to fix the 2016 election for the Pantsuit Princes.  It is in fact the sixth stage of this ill-conceived effort to deceive that we have witnessed since last January:

  • Ridiculing claims by President Trump that his campaign was spied on;
  • Lying to multiple congressional committees about claims the Trump campaign was spied on;
  • Attempting to criminalize claims that the Trump campaign was spied on;
  • Admitting that, well, yes we spied on the Trump campaign, but it was for his own good and he should have been happy about it;
  • Saying of course we spied on the Trump campaign because it was our patriotic duty;
  • And now, a classic Clintonian effort to parse what the meaning of “spying” is.

It has devolved to this for the simple fact that, at the end of the day, this desperate effort to parse words and terms is all they’ve got.  They’ve been caught with their filthy hands in the cookie jar.

Now, they’re all facing the final stages of the slow-rolling revelations of their massive wrongdoing as former and current FBI agents are coming out of the woodwork, volunteering to testify before congressional committees about what they witnessed while all the shenanigans were going on.  First up in this parade will be Bill Priestap, the Chief of the FBI’s Counterintelligence Division, who was the boss of FBI Super-Duper Agent Peter Strzok during the coup effort.

He will be joined in June by two other agents  – Michael Steinbach, formerly head of the agency’s national security division; and Steinbach’s predecessor, John Giacalone – as witnesses before the House Oversight Committee and House Judiciary Committee.  Priestap’s testimony should be especially compelling given his likely role in the whole thing – he was frequently mentioned in Strzok’s texts with his lover Lisa Page – and the probability that he has remained  in his job most likely because he’s been cooperating with the investigations by DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz and Salt Lake City U.S. Attorney John Huber.

In addition to the coming parade of FBI agents testifying before congress, Brennan/Clapper/Comey and their fake media support group also face the impending release of the next report from Horowitz, which covers the fake investigation in to the Coughing Crook’s email scandal and other Hillary-related matters.

It’s going to be awesome to see what new line of tortured talking points the cabal and their media support group come up with next.

Just another day in the plot to take down a president keeps crumbling America.

That is all.
