Let’s Stop and Recognize all the Good Things Happening in America

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Guest Piece by Gregg Updike

There are real signs that actual justice is being delivered to cheaters, evil doers, and other criminals.  Maybe not as fast as we would like, but it is happening.  Look at what is occurring in the sports and entertainment industry:

Earlier this week, the Commissioner of Major League Baseball, Robert Manfred, announced the conclusion of MLB’s exhaustive several month long investigation of the Houston Astro electronic sign-stealing scandal.  The penalties meted out were severe and had several major repercussions which haven’t totally played out.

The Astros’ general manager, Jeff Luhnow and field manager, A. J. Hinch were both suspended for one year for using electronic surveillance to facilitate on-field cheating beginning (at least) in the 2017 post season.  The owner, Jim Crane, was fined five million dollars and the Astros lost their first and second round draft picks for the next two years.  This is a huge sanction and nearly unheard of in American Professional Sports.

Luhnow and Hinch were subsequently fired by the Astros, despite leading them to one of the best records in baseball for the last five or so years; by all accounts, they were running a model franchise.  These two were considered to be among the best baseball brains in the game; how the mighty have fallen.

The fallout has extended to Alex Cora; he was Hinch’s bench coach (the #2 man) in 2017 during their World Series winning season.  In 2018, be became the Red Sox’ field manager and led the Red Sox to the World Championship in his first year.  Yesterday he was (mutually agreed upon) dismissed from the Red Sox for his part in the 2017 Astros’ scandal and for a pending cheating investigation into the Red Sox 2018-9 seasons.  The final outcome of MLB’s investigations may also reach the New York Mets’ new field manager, Carlos Beltran.  Beltran was an Astros’ player in 2017 and has been implicated in the scandal and may also be “resigned” before he even manages a game for the Mets.

It is rare for such severe, and justified, punishment to be handed out to prominent, respected, and beloved (by many in the industry) leaders in America’s “Toy Department” known as professional sports.

Now , let’s check out what has transpired with the entertainment and “news” industry:

Harvey Weinstein is facing a whole lot of legal problems and his Hollywood “kingmaker” reputation has been forever shattered.

Michael Avenatti was recently actually taken into custody by the IRS during a hearing in court on another matter; he too is in heap-big trouble on may fronts.  He is the male version of the noted, publicity-seeking, and infamous celebrity lawyer and shakedown artist, Gloria Allred.  CNN, MSMBC, and other “news” outlets couldn’t get enough of him and his bogus accusations against President Trump and Justice Brett Kavanaugh.  Much of the Mainstream Media was actually touting him as a viable contender for the Democratic Presidential Nomination to run against Trump.

CNN just settled with the Covington High School Student, Nick Sandman, who will also successfully sue the other malignant organizations and people who gratuitously slandered him.

The ratings of most news networks, award shows, and left sponsored “debates”, are in the tank, as are the attendance figures of so many “message” movies starring loudmouth idiot activists.  The dead tree media is all but dead, with many newspapers shutting down.

The over-the-top vilification of the President and his supporters by the left for the last three plus years, and the (until now) well disguised hidden agenda of so many prominent people and so many “trusted” organizations has been exposed for all to see.  These once highly regarded people and organizations have been revealed as shams built on houses of cards.  They live and exist in glass houses, which are just waiting for the right stone to hit them and have the whole fraud of their existence collapse upon them; it is inevitable.

The “entertainers” are in the process of getting their just rewards, as conservative voices are fighting back against their PC garbage and are being heard.  Ricky Gervais’ (hardly a conservative) Golden Globes monologue is an excellent example of this recent push-back.  Soon the government and media cabal who have committed so many crimes against the people and our republic will have their comeuppance and get the “due process” they so richly deserve; a due process they so willingly deny to their political and cultural enemies.  They may not ultimately be incarcerated or punished as severely as we conservatives would like, but I have no doubt that eventually meaningful punishment will be forthcoming to the guilty.

It is perhaps surprising the entertainment industry, as (sadly) more Americans are tuned into it rather than government and politics, is the first to be exposed and punished, rather than the corrupt “public servants”.  The trend toward justice is being set in the minds of much of the public and the momentum is growing for more genuine justice to prevail during the Trump and future conservative administrations.

However, this positive trend will only continue with the reelection of Trump and election of true conservative presidents and members of Congress in all future elections.  A couple of elections with mixed results, won’t solve all our problems; we need to be active in all elections.  We are now being armed with the facts and knowledge of the left’s true agenda; therefore, we Americans must continue the good fight against crime and evil, or it will fester and return with a vengeance.

As President Ronald Reagan said, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction…”  How true!

That is all.

Three Weeks to Iowa: The State of the Democrat Clown Show

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

What will we do without Marianne Williamson in the race? – The new age guru – whatever that actually means – and fantastic dancer and debater ended her doomed-to-fail campaign on Friday, and hardly anyone noticed. Kind of like when radical Texan Julian Castro ended his campaign back in late December…or maybe it was early January, I forget which and don’t care enough to go look it up.

So, the protected minority candidates keep on dropping out and the pasty old geriatric white males keep movin’ on up in the Democrat field.  How old is the Democrat field? Take a look at this photo:

That’s former Nebraska Senator Bob Kerrey. Sen. Kerrey is a Medal of Honor winner who was briefly a leading Democrat candidate for the party’s 1992 nomination, which was of course ultimately won lifelong fraud Bill Clinton. Because of course it was.

That was 28 years ago, when Kerrey was 49 years old. Today, 28 years and 7 presidential election cycles later, Kerrey is still younger than 3 of the 5 leading contenders for the Party’s 2020 nomination. This is your Democrat Party, circa 2020.

The leader in the national polls in the race to see who will lose miserably to President Donald Trump in November remains the nation’s Unfrozen Caveman Senator, Quid Pro Joe Biden. This is a guy who just secured the endorsement of Eric Garcetti, the Mayor of Los Angeles, on a day when he thought for sure he was in Toledo, Ohio.

Joe Biden is so old that he first got elected to the U.S. Senate around the time that Jimmy Hoffa was murdered by the mob. Interestingly, if you watched the 3 and a half-hour film “The Irishman” recently and thought it was overly-long, consider this: The film’s executive producer and director, Martin Scorsese, decided to leave out the part of the biographical book it is based upon (“I Heard You Paint Houses” by Charles Brandt) that details how the same mob figure, Frank Sheeran, who claims to have killed Hoffa actually also says that he helped Biden win that first Senate campaign in 1972.

Yeah, there’s a whole chapter about that in the book, which I read in 2018, long before this film came about. Sheeran claims that the mob-controlled truckers union refused to deliver newspapers in Delaware containing full-page ads for Biden’s opponent, incumbent Republican J. Caleb Boggs, during the weeks leading up to that election day in 1972. Biden ended up winning that Delaware senate race by just 3,200 votes.

Hey, Biden always said he was a union guy!

Isn’t it interesting that the makers of a film as long as “The Godfather” decided to cut that chapter out of all the chapters in the book? But hey, that’s how the incestuous Democrat/Hollywood alliance works. Just ask Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey and all the supposedly abused actors and actresses who offered them both so much public praise over the last 25 years and have now gone silent about them.

So, there he is, ladies and gentlemen: Joe Biden, your leader in the Democrat race. This 77 year-old likely dementia-sufferer is the guy who the similarly demented Democrat voter base thinks is the most “electable” person in the field. Whew.

Next up is the even-older-than-Biden Commie, Bernie Sanders, who is running a fairly strong second in the national polls but leading now in both Iowa and New Hampshire. Oh, golly, think of the momentum the Commie will generate should he win both of those early contests. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will be all like, totes excited and stuff, or something, should that happen.

Sanders’ big problem is that he just has a very low ceiling, with his main appeal being to the least reliable and most ignorant voters in the Democrat base: College students. The Commie’s support drops off dramatically as you go up the voter age chart, and the old folks are the most reliable voters in the country. Still, with the Democrats’ new system of proportionally rewarding delegates in each primary contest, the Commie remains a real threat to accumulate a lot of delegates, just as he did in 2016.

Then you have Fauxcahontas, clearly the single most blatant life-long fraud in the race, which I keep thinking means she will ultimately end up winning it. Little Princess Gonna Take All Your Wampum had a significant boomlet during August and September, but ended up fading during the final three months of 2019 as she struggled to explain how she might pay for her $40 trillion “Medicare for all” scheme without raising taxes on anyone with less money than multi-billionaires Mike Bloomberg and Tom Steyer.

But she finally ended up landing on a talking point that basically says “hey, just trust me on this, since you know I’ve lied to you about every aspect of my personal life.” Which naturally worked with the demented Democrat voter base. So now she appears to be making a little comeback, polling second ahead of the Commie in the most recent national poll from Economist/YouGov, just 5 points behind Creepy Uncle Joe. I still think Warren, as the most obvious complete fraud in the race, is the most likely nominee here barring the entry of some other candidate, like Hillary Clinton, not currently in the race.

After those top 3, you have two more pasty white guys: Preacher Pete Buttigieg and Mr. Excitement, Mike Bloomberg.

Let’s be honest about Preacher Pete, shall we? He is not going anywhere in this race, and by that I mean he is not going anywhere outside of his 6-8% polling range in which he has been stuck since last June. No matter how much fawning press he receives, no matter how many bible verses he misquotes, no matter how many free, 2-hour-long town hall shows CNN gives him, this is where Preacher Pete is stuck, at least in the national polling. That is the extent of his national appeal.

He’s doing better than that in Iowa and New Hampshire, the two tiny states packed with self-loathing white middle-class socialist voters that lead things off. Preacher Pete might be able to crest that 15% minimum threshold required to be awarded some delegates in those two states. After that, his prospects quickly become paper-thin.

Mr. Excitement, meanwhile, has now spent over $200 million of his own money on this campaign to get himself up to about 6% in the national polls, just behind the Preacher. This is what Warren Buffet and the folks at Goldman Sachs would likely refer to as a “crappy investment,” but Bloomberg seems undeterred, having just shelled out another $10 million for a one-minute ad during the upcoming Super Bowl.

Mr. Excitement’s problems in this race are myriad, but the main one is that he is simply too genuine to appeal to enough demented Democrat voters to secure the nomination: Too genuinely short; too genuinely boring; too genuinely soft-spoken; too genuinely not prone to blatant lies about his background and family; too genuinely dedicated to banning 32 oz. soft drinks and cow farts.

This man clearly did not do his homework before entering this race – if he had, he would know that every Democrat presidential nomination since 1976 has been awarded by the Party’s demented voters to the single biggest lifelong fraud in the race. Plus, if he ever does manage to qualify for one of the monthly debates, he will simply bore the country to death. Mr. Excitement will not be the nominee.

After those five, the only other candidate in the race worth mentioning is Amy Klobuchar, who is polling fairly well in Iowa and New Hampshire. But “fairly well” means about 6%, and you have to win 15% of the actual vote to win any delegates. The chances of her breaking through with a truly strong finish in either state are basically nil, and the smart money is on her dropping out of the race after New Hampshire has come and gone.

Complicating all of this, of course, is that three of those six candidates mentioned – along with Cory Booker, another minority candidate who is going nowhere – are members of the U.S. Senate. They’re all about to have the privilege of spending virtually all of the rest of January sitting quietly in the Senate chamber for 10 hours a day, 6 days a week during the upcoming “trial” of President Trump. They have San Fran Nan to thank for that, since she’s the one who set up the timetable for all of this.

While the Commie and Fauxcahontas seem to be running strong in Iowa and New Hampshire now, what do you think will happen to their polling numbers when they disappear from those states for the 3 weeks leading up to the Iowa Caucuses?

Man, it’s almost as if San Fran Nan did this all intentionally to help Quid Pro Joe, isn’t it?

Bottom line: The more time goes on, the more likely an open convention becomes for this pathetic, despicable and disloyal political party.

Considering all of these factors and more that I don’t have time to detail here, these are my current odds on the ultimate winner of the Democrat 2020 presidential nomination:

Someone not currently in the race: EVEN

Fauxcahontas: 5 to 2

Biden: 3 to 1

The Commie: 5 to 1

Bloomberg: 20 to 1

Buttigieg: 100 to 1

The field: 1,000 to 1

That is all.

CNN Plumbs New Depths of Depravity With Weinstein Puff Piece

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Getting tired of all this #WINNING yet? – The Trump economy just will not cooperate with the Democrat/media effort to create a recession out of whole cloth. On Monday, all three major stock indexes – the Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq – finished at all-time record highs.

True to form, CNBC, in its coverage of this happy event for America, noted in a sub-head that this latest major rally has come as a shock to all the experts: “Nearly everyone on Wall Street underestimated the strength of this year’s stock market.”

ummm, if the “experts” are always wrong about everything, shouldn’t we be looking for new people to refer to as “experts?”

Likely conversation at CNN editorial meeting…

CNN editor: Hey, uh, we appear to have gotten all the mileage we can from all these stories canonizing this Al-Baghdadi guy. Anybody have any thoughts on which human pond slug we glorify next?

CNN fake reporter #1: How about we do another 5,000 word piece on Beto and what he plans to do with the remainder of his sainted life? He’s so cute, and we could use the word “dusty” and compare him to a Kennedy…

CNN editor: Normally I’d jump all over that one, but we’ve done it 3-4 times before…

CNN fake reporter #2: What about Al Franken? He’s making a big comeback you know, or trying to.

CNN editor: uh, we need to tread lightly on the whole Franken thing. I mean, who among us hasn’t sexually assaulted a sleeping actress, or at least wanted to, right?

[Nodding heads all around the table. Brian Stelter mainlines a powdered sugar donut. Jake Tapper combs his hair. Chris Cuomo sits in a corner staring at the wall.]

CNN fake reporter #3: I know! Let’s do a glowing day-in-the-life profile of Ed Buck! He’s being treated so terribly out there in California – you know, he probably only killed two or three male prostitutes.

CNN editor: Good thoughts there, but it would’ve been better to do that before he got arrested – we might have bailed him out of all of that, and he could still be funding Democrat politicians. I mean, what’s a day in his life like now that he’s being held at the county jail? It’s hard to get 3,000 words out of his one daily phone call.

CNN fake reporter #4: ummmm…is Pol Pot still alive?

CNN editor: Pretty sure he’s dead.

CNN fake reporter #4: Idi Amin?

CNN editor: Dead, too.

CNN fake reporter #4: What about Generalissimo Francisco Franco?

CNN edtor: Still dead.

CNN fake reporter #4: How about Joseph Goebbels? I mean, I know he’s dead, too, but he is Zucker’s role model after all…might score some points with the boss!

CNN editor: It’s a valid thought, but our Democrat masters might not appreciate us being so up front on that one. We’re supposed to maintain this facade, you know, or at least try to.

[More nodding heads around the table. Alisyn Camerota daydreams about graduating 6th grade on her 3rd try. Chris Cuomo bats at an imaginary fly. Brian Stelter emulates his life’s hero Jake Tapper by running a comb through his imaginary hair.]

Anderson Cooper: I got it! Let’s do a positive profile of our buddy Harvey Weinstein! Nobody’s doing that one!

CNN editor: We have a winner! Get on it, Chloe Melas!

[End]

Yes, friends, just when you thought the demented cretins at the fakest fakety-fake fake news channel on television could not stoop any lower, they go out of their way to prove you wrong yet again. Last night, CNN published a story by entertainment fake reporter Chloe Melas with the I-kid-you-not headline of “Harvey Weinstein weakened but unwavering two years later.”

You seriously could never make this stuff up.

Think I’m kidding? Check out these snips from the piece:

CNN has learned from those closest to Weinstein that he isn’t sorry about his alleged misconduct. He’s combative, maintains he is innocent of any crime and is planning for a career comeback post-trial. His attorneys have maintained that any sexual contact between Weinstein and his accusers was consensual.

Harvey’s combative! He’s punching back at his tormentors! Unwavering in his innocence!

“Anyone who looks at him or talks to him knows this has taken an emotional and physical toll. Is his health failing? Not in a life or death situation, but I think he’s just breaking down,” one of his friends told CNN.

His health is suffering, the poor man! Feel sorry for him!

Weinstein used to spend his days in the Tribeca offices of The Weinstein Company, the movie studio he co-founded in 2005 with his now estranged brother, Bob Weinstein. These days he’s mostly alone in his Manhattan apartment, “obsessing” about the trial and the women who have accused him, said one of his friends.

Oh, noes! Harvey’s lonely! He’s obsessing about his accusers who have wronged him so!

“He feels like he is owed an apology from Hollywood,” the source added. “I think there’s a part of him that thinks he will come out on the other side of this and be welcomed back to some version of his old life.”

He’s owed an apology! He can’t wait to get back to work! Why is he being mistreated so???

“When you ask what life is like for Harvey, all you have to do is turn on nightly news and see women screaming at him, ‘You’re a rapist,'” Rotunno said. “People have sort of made their decision in the court of public opinion and that’s been my problem with a lot of the coverage.”

Don’t judge him! Those mean women!!! Why does everyone keep judging him????

“There’s a difference between sins and crimes,” Rotunno said. “You may think that you don’t like the way Harvey conducted himself at times or choices that he’s made, but that doesn’t mean he’s a rapist.”

He’s Bill Clinton! We didn’t impeach Bill Clinton! Well, ok, we impeached him, but we didn’t remove him from office! Stop this madness!!!!

I would be fair and also point out that Ms. Melas then goes on to point out the likely truth about the allegations made against this walking, talking horror movie monster, but she and everyone else at CNN do not deserve fairness here. Because they decided to do this semi-puff piece voluntarily, for no reason other than that they wanted to.

Truly, the depths of CNN’s depravity have no floor.

[NOTE: About 15 minutes after I published this piece, CNN revised the headline on this story to read, ”

Harvey Weinstein combative and in denial ahead of rape trial, inner circle says

You could never, never, ever make these people up, folks.]

That is all.

The Beto Mania “Victory” Tour Goes On, Only Without That “Victory” Part

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Beto Mania Update:  Looking to burnish his street cred among demented Democrat voters, Irish Bob O’Rourke met with an anti-Semitic racist in New York over the weekend. Yes, friends, if you want to be the Democrat Party’s presidential nominee, you must kiss a lot of highly distasteful rings, none moreso than the many, many rings of lifelong race-baiter and perennial MSNBC host Al Sharpton.

Sharpton became just the latest stop on the Irish Bob “I’m Ready Even Though I’m a Loooooooser” victory tour of grand Democrat Poobahs and big Muckety-Mucks as he preps the January announcement of his candidacy.

He already met with America’s Worst Mistake (Barack Hussein Obama) a few weeks ago, and now Sharpton. We can only wait with bated breath to see who will be the next stop on the tour: Will it be Louis Farrakhan? How about prominent Democrat fundraising specialist Harvey Weinstein?

If Irish Bob should decide that Farrakhan and Weinstein are just a tad too toxic, how about the de facto owner of the Democrat National Committee, George Soros?  I would suggest billionaires Tom Steyer – the “environmentalist” who made his fortune investing in coal – or media mogul Mike Bloomberg, but hey, they’re both planning to mount their own campaigns. So reaching out to them might be a little uncomfortable for all involved.

Of course, if Irish Bob really wants sound advice on how to rig, er, “win” the Democrat nomination, he could just travel on up to Chappaqua and have a sit down with the Fainting Felon. He could butter her up by bringing a bag filled with $250,000 in cash as a “contribution” to her “foundation”, two cases of vodka and maybe also bring along a couple of nice hospital gowns to add to her speaking tour on-stage wardrobe.

If it all sounds a little unsavory and demeaning, well, these are Democrats we’re talking about here, not normal people.

Paris Burning Update:

French boy President Emanuel Macron made a televised speech in which he blamed the current civil unrest in his country on 40 years of national “malaise.” So, he’s apparently transitioning from the second coming of Marie Antoinette into the second coming of Jimmy Carter. Neither one is a very good look, is it? At least Carter managed to avoid having his head chopped off, so there is that.

In his speech, the child President made a series of profound statements, such as:

“When violence is unleashed, freedom ends.”

“I take my share of responsibility.”

“I might have hurt people with my words.” and the coup de gras…

“I would ask all employers who can, pay an end-of-year bonus to their employees.”

Oh, yeah, that’ll work.

This guy is hopeless.

Speaking of hopeless, (quoting the late, great Hans Gruber)”I give you the F…B…I.” – During the course of his congressional testimony last week, former FBI Director and current Teenage Drama Queen James Comey used the phrases “I don’t know,” “I don’t remember,” “I can’t recall” or some variance thereof 245 times, which is even more than Barack Obama generally refers to himself in the first person in an hour-long speech.

In other words, it’s a lot. A lot to not remember, recall or know for a guy who spent years heading up what used to be the nation’s premier law enforcement agency but is now an anti-American tool for anti-American political interests.

Writing at the Wall Street Journal on Monday, James Freeman compiled a terrific piece detailing some of the many amazing things Comey, in his job as FBI Director, claims not to have known.  Among those are:

  • The FBI’s process for initiating a counterintelligence investigation;
  • Who initiated the FBI’s 2016 counterintelligence investigation targeting the Trump Campaign;
  • Who Christopher Steele is;
  • That Christopher Steele worked for Fusion GPS;
  • The fact that the Clinton Campaign funded the fake “Trump Dossier”, which was compiled by Steele through Fusion GPS;
  • The fact that the “Trump Dossier” was unverified when it was used by his agency as the basis for obtaining multiple FISA warrants to spy on the Trump Campaign, Trump Transition, and Trump Administration;

and on, and on, and on. In other words, just another day for the nation’s most despicable Deep State skunk.

Go read Freeman’s piece – it’s well worth your time.

Wellllllll, you know, that’s a very, very good question.:

Jerry Nadler may not be worried about this, but dozens of his colleagues probably are. Over the last 20 years, more than 260 settlements totaling $17 million have been paid out of a congressional slush fund – at taxpayer expense – to keep members of congress out of hot water of one form or another.  Many of those settlements were to dispose of complaints involving sexual harassment.

Isn’t that “hush money?” If not, what is the distinction? After all, when one of these suits has been settled, the person filing the complaint has been required to sign a non-disclosure agreement in order to get his or her money, exactly the same process Donald Trump allegedly engaged in with the playmate and the porn star. So, if it’s an impeachable offense when then-private citizen Donald Trump supposedly did it, why isn’t it an impeachable offense when a sitting member of congress does it?

So many questions, so few answers coming from our fake news media and its Democrat masters.

That is all.

The Media Beclowns Itself on the Anchor Babies Issue. What Else is New?

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Well, now we know why he was transferred. –  Infamous Boston Gangster Whitey Bulger was transferred to a new, maximum security prison in Virginia on Tuesday.  There, he was beaten to death by several mob-connected inmates before 9:00 a.m. That’s some security right there.

Another media narrative epic fail. – Despite the best efforts of our fake news media to lay the blame for the fake pipe bomber solely at President Donald Trump’s feet over the last week, a new poll taken by the ultra-leftwing Huffington Post shows that only 24% of Americans believe he bears much of the blame for the incident, whatever it really turns out to have been.  On the other hand, 50% of Americans believe he bears “no blame at all” for the actions of a steroids-addled nutjob.

Which only proves that at least half of Americans still have their wits about them.

What, you thought Hollywood would actually reform itself? – Here’s how you can tell the whole #MeToo movement has had no impact whatsoever on the depraved Hollywood culture:  Currently in the works are both a major Showtime mini-series and a feature film starring Charlize Theron about the Roger Ailes scandal at Fox News, but there are zero projects in the works starring nobody about piggish big Hollywood muckety-muck Harvey Weinstein.

What does this tell us? It tells us that despite his current situation, Weinstein retains major influence in Tinseltown, and people there are still afraid to cross him. One gets the feeling that if a movie is ever made about Weinstein and his escapades, it will be cast as a light-hearted comedy starring Kevin Spacey and Meryl Streep, and produced by…wait for it…Harvey Weinstein.

And now a word from the @GDBlackmon Twitter feed:

Sometimes it really is difficult to think of China as a “civilized” society.

On this whole “birthright citizenship” thing… – Never in the history of the fake media beclowning itself have so many inhabitants of our fake media beclowned themselves as they did on Twitter yesterday over this “birthright citizenship” deal. It seemed as if every fake journalist in America felt the burning need to get on Twitter and sternly and sagely announce that President Trump’s planned executive order would never work because, and I quote, “birthright citizenship is enshrined in the Constitution!” Why, it’s almost as if they had all gotten a talking points memo from the Democrat Party or something.  Go figure.

The only problem with their joint talking point on the issue is, it isn’t true. Again, go figure.

Look, the 14th Amendment was ratified in 1868 to protect the rights of freed slaves (about 99% of whose previous “owners” happened to be Democrats, but I digress) and their progeny.  Not only did the 14th Amendment have literally nothing to do with the children of illegal immigrants, the congressional record makes it crystal clear that it was specifically intended to exclude them:

“This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to persons who are ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons.”

As I replied to one semi-conservative Texas-based journalist who had displayed rank ignorance on the subject, “There is far more involved here than the 14th Amendment. There is 150 years of case law, 150 years of congressional action, and 150 years of administrative interpretations at play as well. If you’d stop your virtue-signaling for a few minutes, you might figure that out.”

But hey, virtue-signaling to liberals is the favorite passtime of semi-conservative journalists on Twitter, so naturally that particular journalist was unable to stop.

The reality of the current government policy regarding birthright citizenship for anchor babies of illegal immigrants is that it is exactly that:  An administrative policy. It is an interpretation by past presidential administrations that has never been tested in the federal courts.

President Trump, for better or worse, apparently intends to test it, and with the new, presumably-conservative majority on the Supreme Court, he might win.  But more to the point, even an immigration dove like Sen. Lindsey Graham believes the current policy is wrong, and he announced yesterday that he plans to introduce a bill that would correct it.  “Finally, a president willing to take on this absurd policy of birthright citizenship,” Graham said in a statement. “I’ve always supported comprehensive immigration reform – and at the same time – the elimination of birthright citizenship.”

“The United States is one of two developed countries in the world who grant citizenship based on location of birth,” Graham continues, “This policy is a magnet for illegal immigration, out of the mainstream of the developed world, and needs to come to an end.”

It is a bad policy that offers perverse incentives that encourage illegal immigration. It is a policy with no true firm basis in the law, zero actual basis in our constitution, and it needs to end if we are to ever restore some semblance of order to our system of legal immigration.

Given all of that, you can expect to see journalists in Texas and nationally to continue making fools of themselves over the issue on Twitter.  They obviously can’t help themselves, and truly enjoy doing it.

It’s a clown show out there. Be careful, and vote Republican.

That is all.

Another Day, Another Failed Fake Media/Democrat Narrative

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Your fake news media in action! – NBC is under fire for having sat for more than three weeks on a story that would have helped to clear Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s name before the vote on his confirmation took place on October 6. Turns out that NBC reporter Kate Snow, in filing the fake news network’s original story on the gang rape claims being pushed at the time by nutjob Julie Swetnick and the Creepy Porn Lawyer, conveniently left out the fact that one of the “corroborating witnesses” the CPL had provided completely contradicted the key parts of Swetnick’s false story.

So, after Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley filed his first of two criminal referral letters related to Swetnick and CPL on Thursday (he filed a second letter on Friday), Snow and NBC apparently decided they better come clean and actually report the exculpatory evidence they had withheld, probably in an effort to  avoid the receipt of subpoenas from the Justice Department. Younger people expressed shock on social media Friday about NBC’s despicable behavior, but those of us old enough to remember the Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinsky scandal know it’s just par for the course.

After all, the Drudge Report became a big thing 20 years ago when Matt Drudge discovered that Newsweek and reporter Michael Isikoff had been sitting on the Lewinsky story for months in an effort to protect the predator Democrat President, and broke the story on his then-fledgling news-aggregation website.  There have been countless other examples of fake media outlets withholding what would be huge, possible Pulitzer Prize-winning stories in desperate efforts to protect their Democrat masters.  NBC itself was revealed just a year ago to have refused to allow Ronan Farrow to publish his #MeToo movement creating story about the disgusting abuser and huge Democrat donor Harvey Weinstein, which led to Farrow taking his research over to The New Yorker instead.

Protecting Democrats and violating journalistic norms to try to damage Republicans is what your fake news media does.  They believe it is in fact their duty.  Once you accept this reality, everything they do makes perfect sense.

Probably because she just won’t shut up and leave us alone. – Speaking of fake media outlets, the Washington Post has a Trump-bashing piece up this morning titled, “Why are we still talking about Hillary Clinton?”  Seriously, is there really some mystery here?  I honestly don’t recommend you waste your time reading it – just thought it was incredibly ironic, given the Pantsuit Princess’s own behavior, that such a piece could even be conceived and written, much less actually make its way into publication.

Optics are why Trump won, and they’re why this fake pipe bomb fiasco won’t impact the elections. – So, here are the optics of this whole fake pipe bomb deal:

President Donald Trump’s Justice Department just went balls to the wall to protect a group of the President’s most vicious critics who were being mailed fake bombs that posed no real threat to them. The initial arrest was made less than 72 hours after the “crisis” narrative arose.

Meanwhile, the Democrats and the fake news media are using the apparent Trump-supporting identity of this lunatic as a weapon to demean and libel not only the President of the United States, but any and all of Trump’s millions of loyal supporters as well.

Honestly, I’m not sure you could find a better way to ensure about a 99% turnout by Trump supporters to get out and vote in this election.

Think about it:  Mr. Trump, both as candidate and as President, has now held over 100 of his famous political rallies since 2015.  Those events have been attended by upwards of a million people, probably even more than that.  In all of those rallies, the fake news media has been able to capture exactly one violent act by a single Trump supporter, an elderly man who threw a harmless punch at a young protester who was being escorted out of the arena at one of the 2016 campaign events.

Now, we have a second apparent Trump supporter who is alleged by the FBI to be the person who has somehow sent 13 of these fake pipe bombs to various critics of the President.  I say “alleged” because, given that at least several of these packages were obviously not delivered by the U.S. Postal Service, since photos of them clearly show the packages were not postmarked, the FBI has yet to adequately explain how one guy driving an extremely distinctive white van could have caused all these packages to have been hand-delivered to various destinations all over the country within 36 hours of each other.

But I digress.

So we have this one guy out of more than a million who have attended Trump rallies, and out of more than 60 million who voted for him in 2016, an obvious dimwitted steroid freak who we’re supposed to believe is some criminal mastermind with almost magical powers of transporting himself and his fake bombs all over the country, and our fake news media and their Democrat masters are tarring and feathering the entire Trump supporter base with his actions.

I don’t really know what to say other than to point out that stuff like this is exactly why Trump got elected in the first place.  This constant, unending demeaning and slandering of ordinary Americans whose main desire in life is to be able to quietly live their lives with their friends and families in peace and some semblance of freedom from oppression by the government and assault from the elite political class is what caused millions of us out here in Flyover Country to not just accept Trump as a better option to the career criminal being offered up by the Democrats, but to ultimately become excited about rallying to his cause in 2016.

This week alone has already seen the utter collapse of two major Democrat/media narratives:  The Khashoggi thing that no ordinary American had time to care about, and the obviously-staged “migrant caravan” narrative that has backfired hugely on the Democrats.

This fake pipe bomb deal is well on its way to become the third major backfiring narrative in a single week.  That has to be some sort of record, doesn’t it?

Just another day in fake news media collapsing narratives America.

That is all.

The Big Question: If Mueller Makes Big Moves After Labor Day, Will Sessions Respond in Kind?

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

This is NBC, pushing that false narrative 24 hours every day. – NBC’s fake news hack Chuck Todd says something big is coming from Robert Mueller’s Special Counsel office today.  Not tomorrow, not Sunday, not next week – today.  Why?  Because Todd is still pushing the narrative that Mueller is some sort of stand-up guy who plays by the rules, and the rules dictate that his SC office should avoid influencing the November elections by making any big news between Labor Day and Election Day.  Given that today is the last “working” day before Labor Day, Todd figures Mueller’s gonna lower the boom on President Donald Trump.

This is, of course, all a lot of stuff and nonsense, as the great James J. Kilpatrick used to say.  Robert Mueller is just another Deep State skunk, and so is Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, and there are no “rules” or even the least bit of oversight governing this fake investigation.  This is a witch hunt based on a fantasy, explicitly designed to interfere with the ability of a duly-elected President of the United States to conduct the nation’s business.

Far from being silent for the next two months, we can expect Mueller and his gang of Clinton/Obama hacks to pull out all the stops in their efforts to tilt the midterm elections in favor of the Democrats, which was the plan here from the day of Mueller’s appointment by his buddy Rosenstein.  Mueller’s office might announce something significant today, or it might not.  But the thought that this Special Counsel is observing any of the rules or traditions of the past is hilariously stupid, and not remotely connected to reality.

Jeff Sessions’ job is safe, until it isn’t. – In an interview with Bloomberg yesterday, President Trump said that Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ job is safe until at least Election Day.  After that, all bets are off.

“I just would love to have him do a great job,” the president said.

And thus the competing theories about the Trump/Sessions relationship are set up once again.  Is Sessions just another Deep State skunk who is too compromised personally to ever make a move to bring all the Obama/Clinton-era bad actors to justice?  Or is the public feuding between the President and his Attorney General a Kabuki dance designed to build up public and media sympathy for Sessions before he begins to make his moves in that direction?

Here’s the deal on that:  If you don’t see Sessions doing something big during the month of September, if you don’t see him responding in-kind to any big moves made by Mueller, you should expect to see him fired shortly after Election Day.

Speaking of NBC, The Daily Beast published a report on Thursday claiming that NBC’s executives threatened Ronan Farrow if he didn’t stop reporting on serial rapist and big Hollywood muckety-muck Harvey Weinstein.  This threat apparently came after Farrow had left the peacock network in protest over NBC’s refusal to run his expose’ of Weinstein which started the whole #MeToo movement.

If you remember, NBC claimed at the time that it felt Farrow’s reporting was “not ready” for publication, but Farrow had no problem convincing The New Yorker to run the story within weeks after leaving NBC a year ago.  The Daily Beast report, naturally based largely on anonymous sources (because of course it is), claims that “NBC News general counsel Susan Weiner made a series of phone calls to Farrow, threatening to smear him if he continued to report on Weinstein.”  NBC of course denies the report, but NBC reporters and executives have lied so often about so many things in recent years, and the network is itself so deeply involved with trying to cover up its own series of #MeToo-related scandals that no one can really take anything it says at face value anymore.

At the end of the day this is just a pissing contest between two of the worst fake news media outlets in the business, but the most believable aspect of it is the allegation that NBC did everything it could to protect a heinous scumbag like Harvey Weinstein.  Because, what else would a network whose biggest fake news personality at the time was Matt Lauer do?

Just another day in fake news media America.

That is all.

Wait. Why Isn’t Rick Gates on Trial Again?

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

What tipped you off, Timmy? – Apple CEO Tim Cook is worried that “humanity is being drained out of music.”  It’s not about what you think, but it should be.

Tired of all this Winning yet? – Republican Troy Balderson won the special election for Ohio’s 12th district over Democat Danny O’Connor, denying the fake news media another excuse to rev up its “Blue Wave” narrative one more time.  The race was very close, with Balderson prevailing by just 1,754 votes out of the 202,000 total votes cast.  Absurdly, the two will face off again in the regular mid-term election in just three months.  If the Democrats hope to prevail, they’ll have to clear out some more of the district’s cemeteries on Election Day.

Ok.  Now do Kevin Spacey and Harvey Weinstein and Matt Lauer. – The creeps who infest the West Hollywood city council voted Tuesday night to demand that those who manage Hollywood’s Walk of Fame to remove the star honoring Donald Trump.  This move comes after the star has been repeatedly vandalized by criminal lunatics wielding axes and hoes.  So, these Democrats do what Democrats always do and blame the inanimate object for the problem.  So.  Damn.  Predictable.

To see “nutty people,” tour the halls of the state capitol building or the West Hollywood city council. – The LA Times editorial board is all verklempt about the latest secession – or “CalExit” – proposal making the rounds in the Golden State these days.  This proposal would first have California secede from the Union, and then lop off a big chunk of the Eastern portion of the state to form an independent Native American nation.

In slamming the proposal, the Times ed board asks this burning question:  “What is it about the Golden State that makes nutty people want to mess with its geography in ill-thought-out ways?”  Hilariously, the question is posed without a hint of self-awareness or irony.

In the grand pantheon of horrible Democrat ideas, this one could be the worst yet. – Axios reports that Democrats, led by execrable Virginia Sen. Mark Warner, are circulating a raft of horrible legislative proposals they would attempt to pursue in 2019/2020 should they gain control of one or both houses of congress this November.

In keeping with their philosophy of “never let a good fake crisis go to waste,” one of the proposals would be for the federal government to essentially take over the Internet in order to keep those nasty Russians off of Facebook and Twitter.  The Axios piece details a laundry list of proposals for command-and-control regulation from the feds that reads like something that would have come right out of the Soviet Union, a classic approach from social meddlers who think they’re smarter than everyone else and should have the power to tell the rest of us how to act.

All of this in the face of the fact that, after two years of Democrat/media-promoted hysteria over “Russian meddling” in our elections, there remains no evidence whatsoever that the amateurish efforts allegedly perpetrated by Russian interests during 2016 impacted a single vote.  But the “crisis” has been generated, Robert Mueller has indicted a bunch of Russian ham sandwiches who will never stand trial, and now’s the time in the Democrat hive mind to push for a government takeover, which is how they always respond to every issue, real or imagined.

Democrats:  If they didn’t exist, no person in their right mind would even dream of making them up.

Wait.  Why isn’t this guy standing trial again? – Speaking of Robert Mueller and his gang of Clinton/Obama hacks, their star witness in the Paul Manafort trial, Manafort’s former partner Rick Gates, admitted on the witness stand yesterday that he stole millions of dollars from his boss, bought his mistress a London apartment with some of the proceeds, regularly misclassified income as “loans” in order to avoid taxes, and “probably” embezzled funds from the Trump Inauguration Committee.

Gates also admitted to lying to Mueller’s investigators in an interview this past January, a process crime for which Mueller has already obtained two guilty pleas from other subjects of his investigation.  Gates, an already admitted liar, was awarded immunity instead so that he could spill the beans on Manafort.  Mueller hoped that by taking this action, he could pressure Manafort, himself an admitted liar, to turn and spill the beans on President Trump or someone closer to him.

Instead, we get this show trial on charges for crimes that took place years before Donald Trump ever thought about running for president, with Gates’s admission to committing a crime against Trump and his inauguration committee the only thing even tangentially related to the current President of the United States of America.

Your “Justice” Department in action, folks.

Just another day in nutty people-filled America.

That is all.

As Trump Negotiates, Democrats Self-Immolate

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

You thought Wendy Davis was a disaster for Democrats in 2014?  Lupe Valdez says “hold my beer.” – Texas Democrat gubernatorial nominee Lupe Valdez is making the closing of property tax “loopholes” one of her campaign’s major areas of focus.  Yesterday, the Dallas Morning News reported that Ms. Valdez – a former Dallas County Sheriff – owes more than $12,000 in delinquent property taxes.  Democrats:  If they didn’t exist, nobody in their right mind would want to make them up.

But..but…but…who are we gonna get to play the president in our next disaster movie? – Actor Morgan Freeman got his #MeToo moment yesterday, as no fewer than 8 women came forward to accuse him of all sorts of detestable harassment behavior.  This creates a severe casting problem for Hollywood’s producers, since it seems as if Mr. Freeman has appeared in about 50% of all movies filmed since about 1996.

Meanwhile, the scumbag di tutti scumbags, big Hollywood muckety-muck and good friend of Hillary and Oprah Harvey Weinstein, will apparently surrender himself to New York City police today on felony sexual assault charges.  We can expect a whole lot more surrendering himself on sexual assault charges to be in Mr. Weinstein’s future, as active investigations into his behavior are ongoing in at least three U.S. states and two other countries.  He was a very busy man.

In case you missed it, the Twitter meme wizards have provided this campaign tool to every Republican candidate running for office in this year’s mid-term elections:

San Fran Nan – the gift who just keeps on giving – to Republicans.

Democrats really should learn how to read, Part 9,587. – On Thursday morning, President Donald Trump issued a letter to the Crazy Little Fat Guy in North Korea seemingly cancelling the scheduled June 12 summit meeting between the two men in Singapore.  Citing the intemperate tone of recent official comments coming out of North Korea over the past week, Mr. Trump also expressed his willingness to resume negotiations over the de-nuclearization of the Korean Peninsula whenever the Norks calmed their crazy selves down.

Democrats all over the country – none of whom have bothered to read “The Art of the Deal” or make any other real effort to understand the way the President operates in high-stakes negotiations – spent most of the day literally celebrating what they believed was a big “win” for Kim Jong Un (because liberals will always side with the world’s despots over the United States whenever a Republican happens to be in the White House).  Had any of these people ever taken the time to try to understand Mr. Trump, they’d have known that the letter, and the brief speech he made later in the day on the subject, are classic examples of negotiating tactics that he has used many times in the past.

At about 4:20 CT yesterday afternoon, I decided to try to be helpful to all the Democrats out there on my Twitter account:

Less than an hour after that tweet was posted, the Norks responded with an official statement calling the President’s cancellation of the Singapore meeting “extremely regrettable,” and offering to meet with Mr. Trump “any time and in any form.”  The Kim government also issued a video that purports to depict the destruction of the country’s main nuclear weapons testing site.

In “The Art of the Deal”, one of the negotiating tactics Trump emphasizes is that you have to be willing to just get up and walk away from a bad deal.  This was the major failure of Barack Obama and John Kerry in their laughable negotiations over the deal with Iran – they were so desperate to get a deal, any old deal at all that would in their minds enhance Obama’s pathetic “legacy”, that they were never willing to just walk away.  So they ended up with one of the most horrific “deals” in world history, a “deal” that ended up requiring them to load $400 million in cash on a plane and fly it over to Tehran to give to the Mullahs.

Donald Trump isn’t going to do that.  He’s not going to sacrifice America’s national security and national treasure for reasons of personal vanity as Obama did.

We have to remember here that Trump is engaged in a highly complex negotiation involving not just two countries, but four:  the United States, North Korea, South Korea and China, which is North Korea’s main benefactor, and thus exerts tremendous influence on Kim’s behavior.  Despite what it says, Trump’s letter was not about recent intemperate statements coming from Kim and his official spokesmen.  The President is obviously dissatisfied with some aspect of what is being offered by either North Korea or China, and is not willing to put his name on an agreement until that matter is resolved favorably to the U.S.

We also need to realize that the President’s dissatisfaction may not even be about some issue directly related to North Korea – he could be trying to gain concessions out of China’s President Xi in ongoing tariff negotiations or some other China-related matter.  We don’t know right now, and the truth is that we may never know.

What we do know is that yesterday’s upheaval has not ended U.S./North Korea negotiations.  We also know Democrats very predictably jumped the gun because they still, 17 months after the 2016 election, have no understanding of how the current President of the United States operates, or for that matter, why he was elected to begin with.

Yesterday was just part of the art of the deal.  The deal may – or may not – ended up being delayed, but the rapid response by the Crazy Little Fat Guy proves that it isn’t dead, as every Democrat in America had obviously hoped.

[ADDENDUM]

About 30 minutes after I posted this piece, President Trump issued the following tweet:

I rest my case.

Just another day in the Art of the Deal America.

That is all.
