Why Senator Richard Burr May be in Deep Doo-doo

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Congress’s seamy underbelly floats up to the surface. – On his Fox News show last night, host Tucker Carlson lambasted Senator Richard Burr – chairman of the corrupt Senate Intelligence Committee – and demanded his resignation for off-loading millions of dollars in stock investments immediately after learning of the threat of the coronavirus.

Here’s a clip, followed by a transcript:

Transcript:

You may have seen the news reports this afternoon that the Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee sold more than a million dollars in stock in mid-February after learning how devastating the Chinese coronavirus could be. He had inside information about what could happen to our country – which is now happening – but he didn’t warn the public. He didn’t give a prime-time address. He didn’t go on television to sound the alarm.

He didn’t even disavow  the op/ed he’d written just 10 days before, claiming that America was “better prepared than ever for coronavirus.” He didn’t do any of those things. Instead, what did he do? He dumped his shares in hotel stocks so he wouldn’t lose money, and then he stayed silent.

Now, maybe there’s an honest explanation for what he did; if there is, he should share it with the rest of us immediately. Otherwise, he must resign from the Senate and face prosecution for insider trading. There is no greater moral crime than betraying your country in a time of crisis, and that appears to be what happened.

[End]

Now, that’s all great: I have long been a critic of Burr, a useless RINO who has used his chairmanship of the Senate Intel Committee to literally cover up crimes committed against the Trump Campaign and Administration by the Obama-era coup cabal within the DOJ and the Intelligence Community. If he did engage in insider trading then he should resign and be prosecuted.

But let’s be honest here: If you think Burr is the only member of congress who has engaged in this kind of action over the past couple of months, you live in a fairy tale world.

The New York Times ran a report yesterday documenting similar actions by several other senators, including Kelly Loeffler (R-GA), Jim Inhofe (R-OK) and Dianne Feinstein (D-CA). That report is based on financial disclosure statements that members of congress must periodically file. Members are regularly tardy in filing these disclosures, and you can bet the shrinking balance in your 401(k) that we will soon discover that many more members did the same thing.

Some members, when they assume office, shield themselves from this kind of accusation by placing such investments in blind trusts, giving them the plausible deniability of saying that they take no active part in managing their investments. Inhofe, Feinstein and Loeffler all claim that is the case with their investments.

Interestingly, no one from Sen. Burr’s office has made a similar claim at this point. Here’s the statement his spokesperson put out yesterday evening:

“His message has always been, and continues to be, that we must be prepared to protect American lives in the event of a pandemic or bio-attack,” Caitlin Carroll, a spokeswoman for Mr. Burr, said in a statement. “Since early February, whether in constituent meetings or open hearings, he has worked to educate the public about the tools and resources our government has to confront the spread of coronavirus.”

Burr himself took to Twitter to issue a series of tweets about an NPR report covering a speech he made to a group of constituents in February, warning them of the potential impacts of coronavirus on the U.S. economy. Nowhere in those tweets does he attempt to defend his stock divestments.

If Burr does play an active role in managing his own trading, then this is a real problem for him, and helps to explain why Carlson went after him last night, but gave the others a pass.

That is all.

Watch: Stanford Med School Spokesman Announces Peer-Reviewed China Virus Cure [Updated]

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Why is this not bigger news? – Gregory Rigano, an advisor to the Stanford School of Medicine, told Tucker Carlson on Fox New last night that French scientists have released a peer-reviewed study indicating that a very cheap anti-Malaria drug called chloroquine produced a 100% cure to the Chinese coronavirus in a test involving 40 patients.

Watch this clip, followed by a transcript:

Carlson: Fortunately there is some good news to report on that front tonight. Early evidence suggests that chloroquine, a cheap anti-Malaria drug, may be effective in treating coronavirus. Gregory Rigano is an advisor to the Stanford School of Medicine, and he joins us tonight. Thanks so much for coming on. So, tell us what this is and why you think it’s promising.

Rigano: The President has the authority to authorize the use of hydroxy chloroquine against the coronavirus immediately. He has cut more red tape at the FDA than any President in history. For example, in 2017, a new drug was approved for Muscular Dystrophy for a clinical trial that enrolled less than 15 patients and was generally uncontrolled in an open setting.

Hydroxy chloroquine has been on the market for over 50 years with a quality safety profile. I’m here to report that, as of this morning, a well-controlled, peer-reviewed study carried out by the most imminent infectious disease specialist in the world, Didier Raoult, PhD, out of the South of France, in which he enrolled 40 patients in a well-controlled, peer-reviewed study that showed a 100% cure rate against coronavirus.

The study was released this morning on my Twitter account, @RiganoESQ, as well as our most recent website, COVIDTrial.io. The study was recently accepted into the International Journal of anti-microbial agents.

Carlson: Obviously, I only know what you’re telling me. But I do know that it’s very unusual for a study of anything to produce results of 100%. That’s remarkable, isn’t it? Or am I missing something?

Rigano: That is remarkable. In fact, to be able to cure a virus was said to be mathematically impossible, and the first company that did it was a small biotech called Pharmacet that was acquired by Gilead Sciences. They cured Hepatitis C. What we’re here to announce is the second cure to a virus of all time.

Carlson: Well, that’s remarkable. Of course, it’s our job to be skeptical of all and any claims; however, I very much want to believe this and I think we very much need immediately to run it down. The administration needs to find out if this is true. If the, if it is, that’s the biggest news of this moment. So, I’m so grateful that you announced that on this show, and I hope we are hearing a lot about it very soon.

[End]

Rigano’s statement speaks for itself. As mentioned above, the study results can be found at this link.

Interestingly, as I was typing this up, Dr. Mark Seigel appeared on Fox Business with Stuart Varney and noted that other clinical trials taking place in South Korea and other Asian countries are producing similar results to Dr. Raoult’s work.

Folks, if this turns out to be a real, true cure, you can count on President Donald Trump to cut through all the FDA bureaucratic job-preservation bullshit and make certification for the use of this drug quickly available to the American medical community, and use federal resources to work to ensure it is available in the needed quantities. Be happy he’s your President, because any Democrat would fart around with it based on the advice coming from his experts for a year before it would come available.

Pray this is real – it could save literally millions of lives.

UPDATE: The UK Daily Express carried a report yesterday on the South Korea tests using chloroquine:

Published on March 13 this year, the study claims to examine guidelines issued by China and South Korea on the effectiveness of chloroquine as an antiviral remedy.

Chloroquine is a medicine used to prevent and treat malaria in those parts of the world where the mosquito-carried disease is a danger to life.

Mr Musk said he received the drug when he suffered from malaria.

He tweeted: “Yes, I received chloroquine via central line through my chest & both arms.

“Had near fatal case of falciparum. Would’ve died for sure if not for chloroquine.

“Doesn’t mean it works for C19, but maybe better than nothing.”

The drug has been in use around the globe since 1945.

A summary of the study reads: “Recent guidelines from South Korea and China report that chloroquine is an effective antiviral therapeutic treatment against Coronavirus Disease 2019.

Use of chloroquine (tablets) is showing favourable outcomes in humans infected with Coronavirus including faster time to recovery and shorter hospital stay.

Maybe worth considering chloroquine for C19

Elon Musk on Twitter

“US CDC research shows that chloroquine also has strong potential as a prophylactic (preventative) measure against coronavirus in the lab, while we wait for a vaccine to be developed.”

Democrat Panic: Brazile tells McDaniel to “Go to hell!”

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Fox News really needs to reconsider who it puts on its air. – Illustrating the state of abject panic among the Democrat Party poobahs, former DNC Chair and current Fox News paid contributor Donna Brazile told current RNC Chair Ronna Romney McDaniel to “go to hell” live on air this morning:

After telling McDaniel to “stay the hell out of our race!” repeatedly, Brazile then outright told the devout Mormon to “go to hell” not once, but twice. Brazile then resorted to the despicably tiresome canard that any criticism of the DNC process by non-Democrats amounts to the use of “Russian talkin’ points!” because of course she did.

*sigh*

Brazile’s unhinged outburst at McDaniel only serves to further demonstrate the state of outright panic the leaders of the Democrat Party find themselves today, as voters go to the polls in the crucial Super Tuesday primary contests. With 40% of the total convention delegates up for grabs in 14 states, Democrat system riggers like Brazile are sitting on pins and needles in anticipation of polls closing this evening.

Regarding Brazile’s absurd claims that nobody in the Democrat Party is attempting to rig things against Bernie Sanders: Remember that Brazile played a significant role in rigging the process against The Commie in 2016, even to the point of feeding debate questions to the Pantsuit Princess in advance. She is a longtime tool of the Clintons whose word cannot be trusted in any way, shape or form.

For Fox News management, today’s outburst by Brazile should create internal discussions over whether or not to continue with her contributor deal. There is no question whatsoever that any Republican who engaged in the use of similarly aggressive language towards any Democrat would be immediately banned by CNN or MSNBC.

There is no reason why Fox News should hold itself and its contributors to lower standards than those two slipshod outfits.

P.S.: Just last Thursday, Sean Hannity gave Brazile a full hour on his “tick-tock” radio show to expound on what a wonderful Christian she claims to be. If you’re a real Christian, the words “go to hell” should never be in your heart or come out of your mouth towards anyone.

What a day.

What in the Hell is Going on at Fox News?

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this WINNING yet? Yeah, neither am I. – Every major U.S. stock market index closed at record highs yet again on Monday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average now sitting more than 10,000 points higher than it sat on the day Donald Trump was elected to the presidency back on that blessed day in November, 2016:

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 100.51 points higher, or 0.4% at 28,235.89. The S&P 500 gained 0.7% to end the day at 3,191.45 while the Nasdaq Composite jumped 0.9% to 8,814.23.

So naturally, the Democrat politicians who hate ordinary Americans who work hard all their lives and save for their retirements are this very week planning to vote to impeach the President whose policies made this all possible. You could never make these people up. Not in a million years.

Rare truth found on Twitter:

Image

What in the hell is going on at Fox News? – On Monday, Fox News came out with yet another poll whose findings are, to say the least, difficult to explain. The poll, conducted by Braun Research out of Princeton, NJ, finds that voters favor the impeachment and removal of President Donald Trump by a margin of 50% to 46%. The poll’s sample of “1000 registered voters” was conducted from December 8 through December 11, basically a week ago.

Four other current polls, by Qunnipiac, CNN, NPR/PBS/Marist and USA Today/Suffolk – all notoriously slanted in favor of Democrats – all find that equation reversed, with voters opposing impeachment and removal by margins ranging from 3% to 6%. Other than NPR/PBS/Marist, all were conducted more recently than the Fox News poll, which may help to explain things. Why Fox waited five days after its poll was completed before reporting on it is a mystery.

But here’s the deal: This conduct and reporting of clear outlier polls by Fox News has now become a very clear and consistent pattern. Coincidentally or not, that pattern began to emerge in 2018 right around the time that former Speaker of the House Paul Ryan was named to a seat on Fox’s board of directors. Probably just a coincidence, but damn, that was also around the time we began to see a decidedly anti-Trump slant emerge on Fox’s daytime “news” programs outside of the Shep Smith hour, which had always been a leftist love-fest.

Coincidence or not, it’s been an interesting pattern to observe. True, Fox did part ways with the insipid Mr. Smith recently, but nobody believes that was due to any concern within management about Smith’s leftist slant, which had been a consistent feature of the channel’s programming throughout the 21st century. But the anti-Trump bias across the remainder of the channel’s daytime programming remains ingrained, and growing.

Back to this latest poll, its’ sample breakdown is very odd, consisting of 46% Democrats, 41% Republicans and just 12% independents. Why Braun would choose to over-sample both Ds and Rs so significantly is hard to explain, since every estimate with any validity says that well over 30% of the public identifies as independents. But that breakdown has to be intentional.

Braun provides no information about where the sample came from geographically within the United States, but there is a big, big difference between a “Republican” living in Rhode Island or some other coastal state and a “Republican” living in Oklahoma or Louisiana or anywhere else out here in Flyover Country. If the poll’s GOP sample consisted mainly of “Republicans” like Mitt Romney or Arnold Schwarzenegger or William Weld or John Kasich, then the poll’s outlier result is entirely explainable.

Regardless, Fox’s on-air talent spent the entire day reporting the results of this clear outlier poll as if it were a real news story, which brings us to the main problem with news outlet-sponsored polls: They are conducted not to accurately gauge real voter attitudes, but to create “news” stories. Fox got to spend all day on Monday reporting the “news” that its own poll shows more voters than not favoring the removal of a duly-elected President from office. That no doubt boosted the channel’s ratings a bit and may have even helped with their street cred among their corrupt media peers.

Never mind that the poll’s results stick out like a sore thumb among those of every other poll released in the last week, Fox’s objective related to the poll – filling a significant amount of air time with a contrarian result – was achieved.

That’s not really “news” as most Americans would define it, but that is what Fox News has now become. The only question remaining for viewers to ask is “Why?”. Unfortunately, the answer to that question is not clear.

Yet.

That is all.

Mollie Hemingway Speaks the Name that Shall not be Spoken on Fox News

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

It was a dirty job, but someone needed to do it. – All it took was a set of brass balls, which of course means that none of the male anchors or contributors on Fox or any other cable TV channel would ever dream of doing it. But hey, offsetting the cowardly acts of her male counterparts is why we have the great Mollie Hemingway around in the first place.

Since a long-term, ultimately fatal illness removed Charles Krauthamer from the Fox Report’s nightly panel discussions, Hemingway has become the real prevailing star of that show, although Bret Baier doesn’t invite her on often enough. When she does appear there, Mollie regularly lays the rhetorical wood to arrogant NeverTrump jerk weeds like Stephen Hayes and Jonah Goldberg, or some female DC Swamp dweller like the insufferable A.B. Stoddard.

Hemingway is a true treasure: Never at a loss for words, always with something real and useful to offer, and never afraid to speak truth to power on any topic.

Sunday morning, she appeared on Fox’s Media Buzz program, hosted by Howie Kurtz, on a panel that included the despicable Clinton operative Philip Reines. Although everyone at Fox News, employees and contributors alike, have been ordered by the corrupt clowns who run the channel now to never, never, never, ever mention the name of the fake whistleblower – Eric Sciaramella – Hemingway, when the subject was brought up by Kurtz, essentially risked her gig by defying the male cowards and doing exactly that.

Here’s the clip – let us all bask in its awesomeness:

The look on Reines’s face is utterly priceless, and the dishonest response by Kurtz – who is normally a pretty solid guy – pretending to not know whether Ciaramella is in fact the seditious leaker is just cowardly and disgusting.

Hemingway is obviously as sick of the tiresome, false pretense of not knowing the fake whistleblower’s real identity as we all are, and she’s determined to not be a part of it. She is that rarity in today’s national news media – a journalist with actual principles and courage.

Given the cowardly and corrupt nature of the current management at Fox News, her effort to try to force Fox to end the absurd farce could well end up costing her her contributor status there. At the very least, it is likely to make Baier less willing to keep inviting her to participate in his panels. That would be a shame for the viewing public, but everyone should be grateful to Ms. Hemingway for having the courage of her convictions and refusing to pretend not to know how to pronounce the word “Ciaramella.”

God bless her.

That is all.

Italian Prime Minister Confirms Spygate Meetings With William Barr and John Durham

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Katherine Herridge reported at mid-day on Wednesday that Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte testified under oath that he had approved meetings between Italian Intelligence agents and U.S. Attorney General William Barr and U.S. Attorney John Durham.

Here is a clip of Herridge’s report (transcript follows below):

For those of you who still like to read stuff, here is the transcript:

Host Harris Faulkner: U.S. Attorney John Durham’s investigation into the origins of the Russia probe has now expanded based on information uncovered in Rome. And we are getting new information about that visit by Attorney General William Barr. Katherine Herridge has the latest.

Katherine Herridge: Our correspondent Amy Kellogg, who is based in Italy has confirmed that in the last few the Italian prime minister has testified to parliament that he did permit the meeting with the attorney General with Italian Intelligence on the subject of the Russia investigation, and he described this move as “the correct decision, and that everything was arranged through proper diplomatic channels.”

The other piece of information we are getting from Italy is that these meetings occurred August 15 and September 27 in Rome.  And that dovetails with some new information we have had here at Fox News, which is that during one of these trips, William Barr and U.S. Attorney John Durham gathered new evidence and that it was on that basis that they expanded the investigation into the origins of the FBI’s 2016 “Russia Collusion” case.

My contacts are report that Durham is “very interested to question” the former Director of National Intelligence, that’s the nation’s top spy chief, James Clapper, as well as the former CIA Director, John Brennan, who recently dismissed the idea.

[Clip of a very nervous Brennan being interviewed on MSNBC on Oct. 3 here]

The reason this matters, Harris, is that it shows that the Durham investigation is truly global in nature, and it dovetails with our reporting that these trips to Rome have been very consequential for that investigation. This has now been confirmed by the Italian Prime Minister under oath with parliamentary testimony.

This report by Herridge, one of the few remaining real journalists still working in our otherwise fake national news media today, confirms previous rumors and reporting that Barr and Durham decided to expand their Spygate investigation based on information they’ve obtained from multiple overseas trips to Italy, Australia, London and Ukraine.

It also helps to explain why the leaders of the Coup Cabal, including Clapper and Brennan, have been nervously planting stories with eagerly-cooperating fake news outlets like the New York Times, CNN and Politico over the past several days.

The more nervous these treasonous skunks are, the better for America.

That is all.

Why Did William Barr Meet with Rupert Murdoch?

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

This is going to be a fun, fun week. – Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe announced over the weekend that his group is going to be releasing a new series of confidential recording this week. The target of this project?

CNN. Check this out:

This week, a CNN insider will blow the whistle and through Project Veritas will release dozens of recordings made of officials at the highest levels of CNN, revealing a political agenda, bias and misconduct hidden from public view.

This series of tapes — which we think will be the biggest story of the year for Project Veritas — blends two extraordinary series of events
