Get Ready for the Coming Impeachment of Donald J. Trump

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Mueller is “closing in” – on what, no one seems able to say. – Last week was the week when Robert Mueller started “closing in”. That’s what everyone in our fake news media kept telling us, anyway, so it must be true, right? Well…ok.

Supposedly, if all the talking heads on CNN and MSNBC are to be believed – which they most certainly are not – the sentencing memo related to Michael Cohen and the court filing in Mueller’s case against Paul Manafort contain all sorts of damaging allegations related to President Donald Trump. They are, in fake media parlance, the smoking guns that, for the 10,457th time over the last 3 and a half years, spell the “beginning of the end for Donald Trump.”

All this impeachment giddiness had bug-eyed Adam Schiff talking about President trump serving prison time on “Face the Nation” and despicable Jerrold Nadler promising to shut down all investigation into Democrat wrongdoing during 2016 when he takes control of the House Judiciary Committee come January. It was like Democrat Party Mardi Gras all weekend.

The problem for the Democrats is, last week’s events don’t really mean what they want us all to believe they did. The Cohen sentencing memo, filed by the Justice Department’s Southern District of New York (SDNY), is all about campaign finance and playmates and porn stars and hush money supposedly paid to them during the 2016 campaign. The same attorneys in the SDNY who refused to prosecute Barack Obama for more than $2 million in illegal campaign contributions taken in by his 2012 campaign are now supposedly going to indict a sitting president for $280,000 in payments that can only be classified as “campaign contributions” via very tortured legal logic.

The SDNY attorneys face several problems here, chief among them being that Justice Department rules dictate that no sitting president can be indicted while he’s in office. D’oh!

Problem number two is that, even if these hush money payments can be classified as campaign contributions, the Candidate himself has the ability to contribute an unlimited amount of money to his own campaign. The U.S. Attorneys suddenly concerned about the “sanctity” of campaign finance rules say he failed to report those “contributions,” which would be a technical violation supposedly committed by a candidate who did not even know they WERE contributions.

You’re going to send a sitting POTUS to jail for that? Really?  Good luck with that.

Problem number three is that, if Donald Trump is re-elected to a second term, the 5-year statute of limitations on campaign finance violations will have expired in 2021, 3 years before he leaves office.

Now, will the craven Democrats in the House of Representatives try to use the SDNY’s tortured logic as a reason to impeach President Trump? Sure, they will, but in doing so they will have to explain why this is an impeachable offense but Obama’s massive violations were not. Good luck with that, too.

The Manafort filing is just another Big Bag of Mueller Nothing, the kind of which we have seen in myriad leaks and filings and ham sandwich indictments from his office for more than 18 months now. Nothing about the “collusion” fantasy, nothing supporting any potential charge of obstruction of justice, nothing supporting anything remotely related to what Mueller was supposed to be looking into. But it did provide a lot of fodder for talking head panels on CNN and MSNBC to assassinate the President’s character and argue for impeachment, which is exactly what it was intended to do.

There is no doubt that President Trump is a man of low moral character, especially when it comes to his conduct in his married life. There is also no doubt that pretty much everyone who voted for Candidate Trump was well aware of this when they voted for him. After two full years of screaming first about their “Russia Collusion” fantasy and then about their “obstruction of justice” fantasy, the Democrats and our fake news media are going to try to force Mr. Trump from office because he might have, maybe, sort of, potentially violated campaign finance laws to cover up affairs.

Make no mistake about it, there will be impeachment hearings beginning early next year, for the simple reason that the Democrat Party stands for nothing else at the moment. The Party’s candidates did not campaign on any policy agenda this year, other than doing nothing more to change the failed Obamacare law and doing nothing to change our failed immigration system. The Democrats have always been really big on doubling down on abject failure, after all.

So, that’s what the next two years of American history are going to be – a long, painful slog in which the Democrats and their fake news media agents do pretty much nothing but try to reverse the results of the 2016 presidential election. There will be no major legislation passed through congress, which is fine with me, given that about 90% of the un-American legacy of Barack Obama has already been done away with in one form or another.

There will be no real budget bills, as the nation goes back to the decade of Harry Reid, in which the government was funded by an ongoing series of continuing resolutions. There will be no more tax cuts – or significant tax increases – no real efforts to reform immigration or healthcare or climate regulations or anything else at the federal level as the Democrat House and Republican Senate play a 24-month game of policy chicken and do little other than raise money for the 2020 campaign.

At some point – probably mid-to-late-2019 – after a seemingly endless series of nationally-televised impeachment hearings by multiple House committees chaired by despicable creeps like New York’s Jerrold Nadler, the Democrats in the House will successfully “impeach” President Trump in a party line vote. Some time after that, the Republicans in the Senate will refuse to remove the President from office, again on a purely party line vote.

It will be an instant replay of 1999, only with the party roles reversed. Then the election campaigns will gear up and dominate the rest of 2019 and all of 2020, as the voters decide who to punish for the two-year fiasco.

It’s key to remember that, after impeaching Bill Clinton in 1999, the Republican Party paid dearly at the polls in 2000, losing their six-year House majority in the process. With President Trump’s public approval ratings holding stubbornly firm at pretty high levels for a president at this point in his first term in office, the Democrats pursue this impeachment strategy at their own risk.

And pursue it they will.  Because they are otherwise bankrupt as a Party.

That is all.

Meet the New Attorney General, Same as the Old Attorney General

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Paris Burning Watch:

Very predictable next step for President Emanuel Macron and his globalist government: Shut down the country’s Internet and other communications, as the government continues its goosestep towards outright fascist thuggery.

The government announced on Friday that it has deployed 89,000 (!) riot police throughout the country in preparation for today’s demonstrations by the “yellow vest” demonstrators, who are protesting the government’s planned implementation of a confiscatory carbon tax it claims will help meet France’s emissions goals under the Paris Climate Accords. The yellow vest demonstrations began as peaceful events a few weeks ago but have turned increasingly violent as they have inevitably been infiltrated by radicals from both the left and the right.

As I write this early Saturday in the U.S. there have already been more than 500 arrests made in Paris, as police began the day by using tear gas on the demonstrators around the Arc de Triomphe.  As Reuters reports:

“A police spokeswoman told reporters there were about 1,500 protesters on the Champs Elysees boulevard and authorities said 211 people had been arrested after police found weapons such as hammers, baseball bats and metal petanque balls on them.”

Somewhat hilariously, the Reuters report contains this passage a few paragraphs later:

“We will do all we can so that today can be a day without violence, so that the dialogue that we started this week can continue in the best possible circumstances,” Prime Minister Edouard Philippe said on French television.

This situation is completely out of hand at this point, deteriorating every day, and Philippe and Macron obviously have not the slightest clue about how to deal effectively with it. Thus, the most likely expectations should be for further efforts to crack down on the movement and the population at large. Because that’s what globalist/socialist governments do.

Ocasio Cortez Watch:

Speaking of things globalist/socialists like to do, this happened on Friday.:

Yes, it’s true – after Donald Trump Jr. re-tweeted a meme about our intrepid new congresswoman from one of the outer-boroughs of New York City (is it Queens?), the  mental midget tweeted a reminder to him that that was all, like, dumb and stuff because she was about to, you know, kinda, like have subpoena power and stuff like that.

Clearly an abuse of power, clearly a violation of congressional ethics and we can count on the Republicans in congress to clearly do absolutely nothing about it.  Because that’s who they are, and what they do – or don’t do, in this case.

Right on Cue, Meet our New Bush-ite Attorney General Nominee. – How ironic is it that, the day after late former President George Herbert Walker Bush was laid to rest in College Station, current President Donald Trump names William Barr, who served Bush 41 as Attorney General, as his nominee to become the AG again, 24 years later? Why, it’s almost as if one event led to another this week.

If President Trump’s thought was that the nomination of a man who had served the ex-President who the Democrats and their fake news media agents had praised all week long might be confirmed by the senate in a dignified and orderly process, well, he was kidding himself. All the demented creeps at CNN and MSNBC immediately flew into high character assassination gear, as did Democrat politicians who immediately began calling for Barr to recuse himself from pretty much everything if he is ultimately confirmed.

Despicable Vermont Senator, the relic Pat Leahy, had this to say:

“I have known Bill Barr a long time.  He has a long record in both the private sector and public service that needs to be thoroughly vetted by the senate. This includes recent, troubling comments about investigations of keen interest to the President who is nominating him.”

In other words, Barr has expressed thoughts about the Mueller investigation, and thus must recuse himself if he wants any Democrat votes in favor of his confirmation. Apparently, only a person who is basically a blind, deaf mute where Mueller’s Witch Hunt is concerned is any longer qualified to serve in the eyes of Senate Democrats.

Barr has a reputation in Washington as an upright and honorable man. As a reminder, so did Robert Mueller when he was nominated, and we now see clearly what that means and doesn’t mean. Barr is not someone who is going to come into the AG job and immediately restart investigations into Uranium One and all the myriad other Clinton/Obama wrongdoing.

On the other hand, assuming DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz and Utah U.S. Attorney John Huber really have been conducting real investigations of their own, Barr is also not someone who is going to come into the AG job and shut those down.

And the reality about Mueller and his evil minions is this: They have nothing real where President Trump is concerned and are systematically winding their fake investigation down and preparing their final report, which they intend to be a roadmap for impeachment by the new Democrat majority in the House. That’s all the Mueller effort ever was, and it becomes more and more obvious with each passing day. President Trump has no intention of interfering with Mueller and never did, something the Democrats and fake news media appear incapable of comprehending.

What Barr represents to President Trump is an extremely well-qualified and safe pick for the job.  In the end, when all the posturing by creeps like Leahy is said and done, Barr will end up with the support of all 53 Republicans in next year’s U.S. Senate, and support from just enough Democrats to get over the 60 vote bar needed to be confirmed to the job.

One other key thing to keep in mind about William Barr is that he served in a Bush Administration that built many miles of steel wall along our Southern border, and paid for it from the Defense budget, which is perfectly legal and proper once a president makes a finding that it is necessary for national security. Why President Trump has failed to go this route is anyone’s guess – perhaps he just wanted to give Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell every opportunity possible to get their jobs done – but assuming Barr is confirmed, Trump will have an AG who understands the President has full authority to go down that road.

Just food for thought.

That is all.

Kamala Harris is not Ready for Democrat Nomination Prime Time

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

A little better due diligence seems in order here. – Comic actor Kevin Hart will never be remembered as the best or worst host of the Academy Awards ceremonies, but he will be remembered has the host who never got to actually host the show.

Hart accepted the gig on Tuesday, but then gave it up on Thursday after it was revealed he had sent out tweets several years ago that were insulting to gay folks.  This action shows the Academy Awards at least have some standards for their hosts to live up to, but that those standards only apply to the insulting of people in certain protected classes.  This is no surprise given that the event is run by leftists and that is how leftists conduct themselves in their daily lives as well.

Meanwhile, over at MSNBC, host Joy Ann Reid, found several months back to have been guilty of exactly the same insensitive Twitter activities in which Hart engaged, still has her gig.  And so does Chris Matthews, who was revealed several months back to be a serial harasser of women in the workplace.

Dang, MSNBC – when you have lower standards for behavior than the Academy Awards, you really, truly suck as an organization.

More perjury opportunities, coming right up! – Former FBI Director and current aspiring Teenage Drama Queen James Comey will be testifying before the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees up on Capitol Hill today.  Unfortunately, the Republicans who insisted on his coming up to lie to them yet again seem to be woefully – and typically – disorganized, and divided on what they actually want to question him about.

Some want to ask more about the Clinton email fake investigation that Comey dummied up in 2016, others want to focus on the whole “Russia collusion” fantasy, and nobody appears to be in charge. So, it will be another wasted opportunity to edge closer to the truth, in all likelihood. Maybe that’s why the Rs insisted the hearing be held behind closed doors.

Byron York, meanwhile, has published a terrific list of 10 suggested questions the Rs might ask Comey about his role in the entrapment of General Mike Flynn. Forcing the Drama Queen to answer those questions would either be very revealing and damaging to him, Peter Strzok and Robert Mueller, or force Comey to commit more perjury – in other words, a win/win situation. Sadly, we can be about 98% sure no one on the Republican side will bother to read the piece, or ask these questions in their last chance to get at some truth before the Democrat majorities take over in January and start sweeping all the Clinton/Comey/Mueller wrongdoing under their very lumpy rug.

What a waste.

From our You Seriously Cannot Make This Stuff Up Files:

The Girl Isn’t Ready. – Over the last 32 years I’ve written many times about the unarguable fact that, to win the Democrat Party’s presidential nomination, a candidate must prove to be an especially accomplished and shameless liar. From Michael Dukakis to Bill Clinton to Al Gore to John Kerry to Barack Hussein Obama to the Pantsuit Princess, the nominees the Democrat Party has offered up to the American people over the last three decades reads like the murderers row in the grand pantheon of deceptive history.

Democrat voters just love to be lied to. As my hero Walt Longmire would say, “It’s a simple fact.”

Enter Kamala Harris, about whom there has been so much talk that she could become the Democrats’ next flag-bearer. Folks, she isn’t nearly good enough to get it done. One of her top aides resigned this week when his $400,000 settlement of a sexual harassment lawsuit several years back finally made the news, and all Sen. Harris could think to do was claim she didn’t know anything about it.

Now, that’s an obvious lie – how, after all, could the boss remain unaware for years that one of her top subordinates was a sex harasser? – but it is neither a creative nor convincing lie, and Democrat voters demand creative and convincing liars.

Think about it: Al Gore has made himself a near-billionaire by mounting a massive propaganda campaign, complete with not one, but two movies, over the last 20 years to support his lies about “climate change.” Hell, Bill Clinton literally reinvented the meaning of the word “sex” to support his lies about Monica Lewinsky. The Pantsuit Princess made up so many different lies about her illegal email server that she finally just lost track of them and needed Comey to use half of the DC office of the FBI to help her cover it all up.

Folks, those are the kinds of lies that qualify someone to become the Democrat Party’s nominee for the presidency. A simple denial, like the one offered by Senator Harris on Thursday does not, after all, entertain the Democrat masses, and the Democrat masses must be entertained.

Unless she gets a whole lot better at this real fast, we can pretty much write Kamala Harris off as a serious contender.

This also happened on Thursday:

Paris Burning Watch:

A new poll out this week shows boy Prime Minister Emanuel Macron’s approval among the French public now down to a microscopic 18%. Remember, this is the guy all the #NeverTrump nitwits were praising just a year ago as the real kind of leader America needs in the presidency.

Meanwhile, the approval rating for President Donald Trump (I still never tire of typing those three glorious words) remains at 50% in the current Rasmussen survey.

As the #NeverTrump flagship publication, The Weekly Standard, teeters on the brink of going out of business, there is a lesson to be learned in all of this. But you can bet that TWS editors Bill Kristol, Stephen Hayes and all of their #NeverTrump Nitwit army will fail to learn it.

The Left’s War on Women Just Keeps Building

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

A fitting farewell to 41. – It is no secret by now that those who have held the office of the presidency are allowed to plan their own funerals, to include the use of national facilities such as the Capital Rotunda and the glorious National Cathedral. It is a real testament to the personal character of George Herbert Walker Bush that his funeral – in stark contrast to that of a late senator who recently was allowed to disrupt the nation’s business for nine full days – was dignified, serious, understated, filled with self-effacing humor and humility, and completely lacking in any hint of lingering bitterness.

It should also surprise no one that every one of the four eulogists for yesterday’s event – biographer Jon Meacham, former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, former U.S. Senator from Wyoming Alan Simpson, and of course, Bush 41’s son, George W. Bush – were all pitch perfect in their remarks, capturing the essence of the man and building on one another until the final climax. It was an historic day – the first time a presidential son was able to eulogize his presidential father – a somber day, and in the end, a joyful day that celebrated not just the career of the man, but also his essential character.

And that, after all, is what Bush 41 will most be remembered for by most Americans: His character, which was marked by overwhelming love and unending forgiveness. His love for his wife Barbara; his family and friends; his cities of Kennebunkport, Maine and Houston, Texas; and for the country he served throughout his adult life.

There is so much to be learned, so many lessons about the wrong way and the right way to do things from these two recent state funerals, and we can only hope that most Americans learned the most from this week’s events.

Paris Burning Watch:

If you thought the Macron government’s decision to “suspend” the implementation of its confiscatory carbon tax for six months would calm the public and end the protests in Paris, well, think again.

Again, it’s important to remember that the motivation behind Macron’s carbon tax is his fool’s effort to meet the emissions targets to which the French government agreed in the Paris Climate Accords. The other key aspect to remember about that agreement is that developing nations were promised $100 billion per year to help them pay to get their own emissions in line.

And here’s the rub:  Most of that money was going to come from the taxpayers of the United States of America. That’s what America’s Worst Mistake – Barack Hussein Obama – committed us all to doing.  Which is why President Donald Trump (I never tire of typing those three glorious words) pulled our country out of that massive wealth redistribution scam last summer.

So, without America and its deep pockets footing the bills for that redistribution, guess who gets to take up the tab? France and the other “developed” nations of Europe, of course, along with maybe a little help from Canada, Australia, China and Japan.

Most French citizens probably haven’t even figured that part out yet. If you think the past two weeks have been troublesome on the streets of Paris, just wait until they all figure out that these massive new taxes aren’t just to try to pay for France’s participation in that deal, but also to help pay for the participation of the same third world countries who have been flooding France and most of Europe with “refugees” over the last decade.

Just food for thought.

From our You Seriously Just Cannot Make This Stuff Up Department:

This is real, I swear it…

You Seriously Cannot Make This Stuff Up, Part II:

Hey, Bloomberg caught onto this reality just yesterday:

So think about this: The #MeToo movement has ensured that in today’s corporate environment, any man who is accused of anything that could be remotely defined to be “harassment” will be automatically presumed guilty and most likely summarily fired by the company, unless he is a very well-known liberal senior executive, in which case it takes a little while longer for him to be fired, plus he gets a huge severance package like Les Moonves.

What, someone really believed that that environment would not create some sort of backlash? Hell, the stuff talked about in that article isn’t even really a backlash – it’s simple self-defense.

And the truth is, this is nothing new – the focus on sexual harassment in the workplace and the need to find ways to avoid it came about in the 1970s. I worked in the corporate world for 40 years, starting in 1979. More than 20 years ago, I made the personal decision to never take a one-on-one meeting with a female peer or subordinate in an office with the door closed. It wasn’t that I didn’t trust and respect the women I worked with – it was just that you couldn’t take the risk of being accused of anything like that. Because once an accusation is made, whether it is true or not, your reputation at that company is forever damaged.

Having said all of that, sexual harassment in the workplace is a despicable act that needs to be punished. It is honestly mind-boggling to me that we are here in the year 2018, after 40 years of focus on this issue, and there are still men who think this kind of boorish behavior is somehow acceptable. It isn’t, you clowns.

But the way to punish it is not to suspend rules of evidence and the presumption of innocence for the accused, as the leftists in the #MeToo movement insist. What the Bloomberg article truly demonstrates is that this rush to persecute, regardless of how many innocent people become ensnared, actually does more harm to career women than it helps.

It’s just one more aspect of the political left’s war on women, and that war is very real. The rights of genetic females are being diminished in our society every day.

You have the Democrat Party and its judges fully in support of the effort by our news media and pop culture to normalize Sharia Law and the genital mutilation practices of some Muslim sects; you have Democrats passing laws that allow people with male genitalia to use the same public restrooms as your wives and daughters; you have people with male genitalia and musculature being allowed to take athletic trophies away from little girls and share locker rooms with them at many schools. You have a supporter of Sharia Law serving for two years now as co-chair of something called the Women’s March, and a woman-abusing buddy of Louis Farrakhan recently getting elected as the Democrat Attorney General of Minnesota.

It’s a real war, ladies, and you’re the target. And head’s up: It isn’t conservatives who are fighting it.

That is all.

Mueller is Evil, B**ch Fight on The View, Paris Still Burning, Creepy Porn Lawyer Gone – All in One Day!

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

“Ok, listen up. Here’s the plan: Strzok falsifies the 302s from his interview with Flynn. Then we bully him for months, raid his home, threaten his family, get a false guilty plea from him. And then…we let him off. Pure evil, right?” – Right. American Gestapo Chief, er, ‘special counsel’ Robert Mueller sent his 12 month overdue sentencing memo for General Mike Flynn to the judge in the case on Tuesday, and guess what? It calls for a fine (because ruining him financially just isn’t enough for Mueller and his evil minions) and this:

“Given the defendant’s substantial assistance and other considerations set forth below, a sentence at the low end of the guideline range—including a sentence that does not impose a term of incarceration—is appropriate and warranted.”

We should all be happy with the prospect of an American who has served this country like General Flynn possibly avoiding jail time in this fiasco. But every American, no matter how mindlessly filled with hatred against President Donald Trump they might be, should be outraged that Flynn spent the last two years being put through this un-American, Nazi-like process by Mueller and his evil minions.

It’s an utter, damnable disgrace.

Wait. In 2016 he told us that the Pantsuit Princess was the most qualified person EVER. – Joe Biden, on a book tour like seemingly everyone else on earth, told an audience of multiples of two in Missoula, MT that “I’ll be as straight with you as I can. I think I’m the most qualified person in the country to be president. The issues that we face as a country today are the issues that have been in my wheelhouse, that I’ve worked on my whole life.”

No word if he went on to admit that he had been consistently wrong about all of those issues he’s been working on his whole life, but the odds are against it.

Also, why didn’t any of the “reporters” present think to ask the ex-VP why it is that, if he has been working on these issues his whole life, they all still persist today? But hey, asking that question would have required curiosity and integrity, so obviously it did not get asked.

*sigh*

Paris Burning Watch:

Yes, the “yellow-vest” protest movement that has been burning the streets of Paris for the last two weeks has won a temporary reprieve from the confiscatory carbon tax that the socialist government of Emanuel Macron planned to impose on January 1 in its fool’s effort to “do something” to fight “climate change.”

But only for six months. The French should not kid themselves this is any sort of permanent victory.  The quotes from French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe in this Reuters story are telling:

Prime Minister Edouard Philippe said anyone would have “to be deaf or blind” not to see or hear the roiling anger on the streets over a policy that Macron has defended as critical to combating climate change.

“The French who have donned yellow vests want taxes to drop, and work to pay. That’s also what we want. If I didn’t manage to explain it, if the ruling majority didn’t manage to convince the French, then something must change,” said Philippe.

“No tax is worth jeopardizing the unity of the nation.”

He warned citizens, however, that they could not expect better public services and lower taxes.

“If the events of recent days have shown us one thing, it’s that the French want neither an increase in taxes or new taxes. If the tax-take falls then spending must fall, because we don’t want to pass our debts on to our children. And those debts are already sizeable,” he said.

In other words, over the next six months Macron and Philippe plan to “explain” the confiscatory tax plan designed to make it too expensive for working class French citizens to drive cars or run air conditioners by threatening them with massive cuts to the country’s social services and programs targeting the working and middle class. These cuts would do nothing to fight “climate change,” but the hope is that they will do much to frighten the public into accepting the carbon tax as a less unpleasant alternative.

This is classic leftist government bullying, along the lines of “the beatings will continue until morale improves.”

One spokesman for the “yellow vest” protesters responded to the temporary tax suspension by telling a reporter, “We are being taken for fools.”  Why yes, yes you are.

Meanwhile, from the world of #NeverTrump #Nitwittery…

#NeverTrump nitwit stalwart Max Boot had this to say about Macron back in 2017, and it is glorious:

That’s quite the take, there, Max.  Holy crap.

Speaking of climate change…: If you’re still worried about that U.S. Climate Assessment that was released the day after Thanksgiving, you should take 7 minutes to read this:

Bjorn Lomborg is a real climate scientist, but he’s a social outcast among his peer group because he chooses to tell the truth about sham reports like this one. Again, it’s a very easy read that only takes a few minutes, but it thoroughly exposes how the authors of this report – and our fake news media –  attempted to defraud the American public.  Again.

Read it.  You’ll be glad you did.

The Paris Riots are a Rejection of Climate-Imposed Socialism

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

This made my eyes water up a bit. – Here is a poem Sen. Orrin Hatch wrote to George and Barbara Bush in January 2013:

For those who can’t read the handwriting, here is the text:

You are resplendent in years
and worth all the tears
as we worry
and hurry
Through each eventful day
in this great land
made greater still
by God’s firm hand
and your strong will
that searched for the better way
every day

Orrin G. Hatch

Beautiful.

Speaking of Bush 41… – All Americans should commend the late President and his family for not using this week of mourning and remembrance as an occasion for lashing out and settling of grudges, as the McCain family did a few months ago. But then, the Bushes are just a different class of people, aren’t they?

Never one to hold a grudge, Bush 41 insisted that President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump be invited to attend his funeral, for the simple reason that that is the gracious and proper thing to do. You can be sure that the eulogies delivered at the service will not be filled with bitterness and potshots taken at the current President, because that is not how the Bush family has ever done things. Again, just a different class of people.

The same cannot be said for our fake news media, sadly. It is as tiresome as it was predictable that the very same media outlets – and many of the same ageing on-air personalities – who demonized George H. W. Bush while he was Vice President and President have taken the occasion of his passing to pretend to have loved him while using it as an excuse to take shots at Donald Trump.

Even Fox News is participating in this sham. I had to just turn the television off yesterday evening as Bret Baier decided it would be a great idea to spend 10 minutes letting the execrable hacks Juan Williams and Mara Liasson go on and on about how “gracious” they always thought Poppy Bush was. That’s certainly a far cry from the despicable things Williams had to say about him while he was in office serving this country.

The reality is that Bush 41, like every other Republican in modern times, had an extremely contentious relationship with the media, which was almost as fake 30 years ago as it is today. At one point in his 1988 campaign he went so far as to ban Newsweek from traveling on his campaign plane due to that particular outlet’s absurdly biased coverage of him. And who will ever forget Poppy’s on-air shouting match with then-CBS News anchor Dan Rather in January 1988?

These were not people and organizations who loved and respected George Bush then, and they only feign love and respect for him now as a cheap means of attacking the current President.

That’s a truth that we all should keep in mind as this week rolls along and the rank hypocrisy emanating from our TV screens turns increasingly putrid.

Paris Burning Watch:

What? Our fake news media misleading the public on the reasons for all the rioting? How can this be? Oh, wait, nevermind.

NBC attempted to cast the rioters’ rage as class warfare over policies that favor the rich over the poor. ABC told its viewers the riots were caused by a simple “fuel tax”. Neither network dared mention the truth about these riots, which is that they are a backlash against taxes on carbon being imposed thanks to the French government’s commitments made under the Paris Climate Accords.

And guess what? The French are not the only people who are rejecting government efforts to seize their money and property as a fool’s means of “doing something” to fight the nebulous concept of “climate change.”

One of the main reasons why Angela Merkel is stepping down as Chancellor of Germany in the coming months is because the population there has become enraged by the massively higher utility costs imposed on them by Merkel’s Energiewende initiative that attempted to transform the country’s power sector from burning coal to getting electricity from hundreds of thousands of giant windmills.

In Canada, the province of Ontario is suing to halt the imposition of a federal carbon tax that child Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is attempting to impose, a tax that threatens to destroy that country’s economy. Just a few weeks ago, the voters in Washington State resoundingly rejected the Democrat-controlled government’s attempt to impose what would have been the first statewide carbon tax in the United States.

The riots in Paris are just the latest signal that we are coming to a real inflection point in the global climate scam. The Globalist community latched onto what they first called “global warming” and later shifted to “climate change” 30 years ago as their newest rationalization for the imposition of worldwide socialism. It is no accident at all that literally every proposed “solution” to “climate change” for the last three decades involves seizing the money and property of individuals so that the ruling class can “do something” about the “problem,” a problem which constantly evolves and which they can never seem to quite describe in a way the average person can understand.

But despite their increasingly shrill and desperate efforts at brainwashing, the public has never embraced this “climate change” as an issue of major concern. In every poll taken that asks voters to list the issues they are most concerned about, “climate change” always, without exception, ranks at or near the bottom.

And in reality, the globalists don’t even buy into their own rhetoric. As I pointed out yesterday, not one single signatory nation to the Paris Accords has met its emissions reductions obligations as of this point. Not one. Most of those countries – which includes every country on earth except the United States – have in fact seen their emissions rise significantly. They don’t even buy their own BS.

So, as all the elitist globalists flew on their carbon-emitting private jets into Poland for their latest multi-million dollar climate conference boondoggle, they were faced with 30 years of frustration at their efforts to impose socialist “solutions” and a growing backlash coming from those being imposed upon. This is where things become dangerous because history tells us that when leftists become frustrated, their sense of entitlement tends to turn them violent. We have certainly seen that here in America over the last two years, with the Democrat Party basically creating the violent Antifa movement following the 2016 elections.

Make no mistake about it: A few election losses and some riots in Paris will not deter these people. They believe they basically have a “divine right” to rule, and in their minds, any means are justified by the ends.

Stay vigilant.

Ocasio-Cortez: We Could Pay For Two-Thirds Of Medicare For All With That $21 Trillion We Spent On The Pentagon

Ok, now, pay attention here, class:  She just admitted that her bright “Medicare for All” idea would cost about $31 TRILLION dollars. You seriously just cannot make this stuff up.

That is all.

Donald Trump Just Keeps on Winning for America

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Ok, well, he IS the Boss. – Bruce Springsteen says he doesn’t “see anyone out there at the moment… the man who can beat Trump, or the woman who can beat Trump.” For some reason, the UK Daily Mail thought it was important for us all to know that, so there you go.

Tired of all this Winning yet? – President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping agreed during the G-20 Summit over the weekend to a 90-day pause in the ongoing trade war between the two nations. While leftists in and out of our fake news media are poo-pooing the deal as just a return to the status quo prior to President Trump’s implementation of new tariffs, that is not the case at all.

The U.S. side of the deal apparently consists of agreeing to not increase U.S. tariffs on hundreds of billions of Chinese goods for the 90-day period, as Trump had threatened to do on January 1. In return, China agrees to rescind its tariffs on imports of U.S. automobiles, roll back its 40% tariff rates on most U.S. goods to lower levels, agreed to purchase an as-yet unspecified amount of U.S. goods to reduce the trade deficit, and – perhaps most importantly – to “stiffen penalties on sales of the powerful opioid fentanyl into the U.S., a step the White House press secretary described as ‘a wonderful humanitarian gesture.'”

Leftists might not like it, but the markets obviously do: Dow futures are up bigly as I write this Update this morning.  #WINNING.

Speaking of winning… – City officials in Tijuana, Mexico acted to move the estimated 6,000 “migrants” out of the sports facility they had occupied for the last few weeks due to the horrid unsanitary conditions they had created there. In a move that will make it harder for the activists among the crowd to mount further assaults on the border crossings there, city officials moved the “migrants” to an abandoned concert venue more than 10 miles further away from the border.

Griff Jenkins at Fox News – and basically no one else in our fake news media – reported last Friday that fully 1/3rd of the “migrants” were being treated for health issues, including head lice, “tuberculosis, four cases of HIV/AIDS and four separate cases of chickenpox,” according to local health authorities. With the unsanitary conditions growing worse by the day, Mexican officials also feared an outbreak of Hepatitis could take place unless the crowd was moved.

In another related turn of events, newly-inaugurated Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO), in one of his first acts in office, “signed an agreement with his counterparts from three Central American countries to establish a development plan to stem the flow of migrants seeking asylum in the U.S.” This compact was entered into at the urging of the Trump Administration.

Here’s why this is important, even if the human misery among these poor people is hard to watch: The move 10 miles further from the border will no doubt encourage more of them to either return home or accept the generous offer of asylum the Mexican government has been offering them for more than a month now. This “caravan” once numbered more than 10,000, so many already have done so, as Mexican officials confirmed early last week.

The other key factor is that, as it becomes clear that the United States of America is not going to allow these “caravans” to just walk right into our country and sign up for welfare benefits, it will become increasingly difficult for the leftist activists forming and funding them to find people in Honduras and other Central American nations willing to participate. The new willingness of the Mexican government to cooperate with U.S. efforts to halt this tide is a crucial development in all of this.

You will never see anyone at CNN, the New York Times, the Washington Post or any of the three dying broadcast networks admit this, but these latest developments demonstrate how extraordinarily effective the Trump Administration’s response to this “migrant caravan” issue has been.

It is such a joy to have a President who just goes to work every day and finds ways to get things done for the American people rather than cowering in fear at the prospect of getting a little bad press. To get to this point on this “caravan” issue, President Trump has had to overcome decades of horrible immigration policy decisions, the cacophony of inaccurate and outright fake reporting coming from the U.S. and international news media, ongoing resistance from some within his own Administration and a seemingly unending series of laughably unconstitutional decisions issued by an array of Obama-appointed federal judges.

Yet still he not only perseveres, but finds ways to prevail. That is #WINNING. Bigly.

Paris Burning Watch:

By the way, just so everyone understands, the reason why French Child President Emanuel Macron is raising that nation’s already confiscatory gasoline tax to even higher levels is not, as some have reported, an attempt to improve the government’s budget situation. What it really is is a fool’s effort to meet his country’s emissions reduction goals which France – like every nation on earth other than the United States of America – pledged to meet as a part of the Paris Climate Accords.

France’s emissions have actually increased since Macron committed his country to that socialist wealth redistribution scam, which is an embarrassment to him and his government. But hey, he’s not alone – not one single, solitary signatory country to the Paris Accords has met its pledged goals. Indeed, the country that has cut its emissions more than any nation on earth since that deal was signed is…wait for it…The United States of America.

Some of you probably tire of seeing me make this point, but it’s a key point to make:  This is just one more reason to be thrilled that Donald J. Trump won the 2016 presidential contest.  Because had the Pantsuit Princess prevailed that historic day, the streets of New York and Los Angeles would probably be burning along with those in Paris.

That is all.

Fascism is on the March all Over the Globe, and America is no Exception

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

RIP, George Herbert Walker Bush. – I was awake in the middle of the night when I heard about the passing at the age of 94 of former President George H.W. Bush, just eight months after the death of former First Lady Barbara Bush. I laid awake thinking of what to say about it all. I didn’t agree with him about some things, did agree with him about others, but let’s just leave the politics to others, because I’m not going to say anything negative about such a gracious man who was an institution in my favorite city of Houston, and served his country with honor and valor in World War II.

I literally ran into President Bush and the First Lady at a reception at the Johnson Space Center in Pasadena 26 years ago, and almost got arrested for it. I was walking along talking with a couple of friends, not looking where I was headed when the Bush’s suddenly emerged from the gift shop and I bumped right into him. A couple of Secret Service guys properly rushed in and started walking me and my friends away, but the President just laughed, called them off, and then – as was typical of Mr. Bush – spent about five minutes chatting us up before the agents convinced him to move along.

We’ll hear hundreds of stories like this over the next several days – seems like half the residents of Houston have a story like it to tell – because that was who this particular President was in his personal life. In the end, regardless of what anyone thinks about how he went about it, he leaves behind a lifetime of service to his country, in the process compiling a resume as impressive as anyone in our nation’s history, and that is something to respect and admire.

Rest in Peace, Poppy.  You deserve it.

NPR jumps headlong into the newsfaking business. – Ok, NPR was already there to some extent, but this week they showed they’re serious about it. The news fakers over there smeared Donald Trump, Jr. on Friday, running with a fake story and then refusing to properly retract it and issue a real correction.

The story, published early Friday morning, falsely alleged Trump Jr.’s testimony before congress about a short-lived plan to build a Trump Tower in Moscow several years before the 2016 elections conflicted with that of Michael Cohen, who plead guilty for lying to congress over the matter earlier in the week. But a reading of the transcript of that committee hearing – a transcript that NPR itself was quoting from – very quickly and easily showed that Trump Jr. had said nothing at all that was in any way untrue.

NPR let the story linger out there in the ether of the Internet for five long hours until, late on a Friday afternoon, after all the other fake news media outlets had had a chance to roll it into fake stories of their own, they finally issued a semi-correction, but left the original piece still sitting out there basically unchanged. This is despicable, inexcusable behavior, something we’d expect from CNN or the New York Times.

Apparently, that’s where the people in charge want to take NPR. What a sad day.

This is what creeping fascism looks like. – In the second week of December, representatives from all over the world will meet in Marrakesh to approve and commit their countries to something called the “International Compact on Migration.” As you can see from watching the video below, the goal of the compact will be to make criticism of mass migration…wait for it… a HATE CRIME punishable with prison time:

As the writer notes, the U.S. will not have anyone in Marrakesh thanks to President Donald Trump, and will not become a party to this fascist compact. But Canada will, and you can bet most of the fading European semi-democracies will be there as well. These international compacts are not binding, but their provisions do end up working their ways into the laws of the signatory nations like cockroaches eating their way into your kitchen baseboards.

Here’s the lesson: If the 2016 election had gone the other way, President Pantsuit Princess would have her emissary there under orders to be the first signatory to this completely anti-democracy compact.

Frightening indeed.

Here’s what a headlong rush into fascism looks like. – But hey, if you want to see fascism already in full force here in the United States, here you go:

The rest of your fake news media studiously ignored this huge story, which should not surprise anyone, since the whistleblower in question was in possession of documents damaging to the Pantsuit Princess and Special Counsel Robert Mueller. The documents in question relate to the Uranium One scandal, in which both Mueller and the Fainting Felon were heavily involved, and to the Clinton Foundation.

The whistleblower, a poor schlub named Dennis Cain, had done his duty to the country, turning the documents over to a congressional committee investigating both matters. He was assured by both the committee and by DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz that he was doing so under the auspices of the Intelligence Community Whistleblower Protection Act. After his client delivered the documents to Horowitz, Cain’s lawyer says he was assured by Horowitz that an assistant would hand-carry them over to the congressional committee.

The FBI agents who showed up at Cain’s home allegedly told him he was in possession of “stolen government property”, and, after Cain had turned the documents and his personal computer over to them, spent another six hours ransacking Cain’s home. This is Gestapo behavior.

The lesson here? These whistleblower protection laws mean nothing if you’re blowing the whistle on someone named Clinton or Mueller.

Hey, what the hell is Acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker doing in his new job, anyway?

That is all.

Progressivism is a Dangerous Mental Disease

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Oh, hey, we’re prosecuting people for lying to congress now? –  Former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to a count of lying to congress on Thursday, becoming the 7th person in our nation’s entire history to be prosecuted for this particular crime.  Yes, you read that right – the 7th one.

This of course is just a continuation of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s campaign of intimidation and abuse of power in his fake investigation into the Democrat/Media “Russia Collusion” fantasy play. This abusive process has already bullied General Mike Flynn into a guilty plea on a process crime and is now focused on fringe players like Jerome Corsi and Roger Stone.

As the great Mollie Hemingway points out in a piece at the Federalist this morning, Mueller and his cronies like Jim Comey have a long history of trading in this sort of bullying of witnesses into admissions of process crimes in order to claim scalps.  It’s well worth the 5 minutes it takes to read it – truly eye-opening, in fact.

And if you’re thinking, hey, maybe next Mueller will go get known congressional perjurers Comey, James Clapper and John Brennan, well, stop living in that dream world, because Mueller is a guy who never targets members of the deep state club, in which he is a lifelong member.

Ocasio Cortez Watch:

No?  Neither can I. – Paul Ryan ended his 20-year career in congress on Thursday. Can you list his major achievements?

First, the Social Justice Warriors came for Frosty the Snowman, and we did nothing. Then they came for A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, and we did nothing. Now, they’re coming for Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer:

*sigh*

Progressivism is a very dangerous mental disease.  But then, you already knew that, didn’t you?

Speaking of mentally-diseased progressives… – Who can forget yesterday, when top aide to and spokesman for The Pantsuit Princess, the completely deranged Philippe Reines, admitted he doesn’t wear pants when he appears on television, and is damn proud of it. We know this because he was caught on tape as he rampaged through the halls of the Fox News studios yesterday after losing yet another on-air debate with a conservative counterpart.

I swear I don’t make this stuff up.

Reines responded with a tweet, because of course he did:

Oh.  Well, then, that makes it all better.

*sigh*

Progressivsim has also become dangerously synonymous to anti-Semitism, in case you haven’t noticed. – CNN decided it had to sever its long, close ties to one of many, many, many progressive paid contributors, Marc Lamont Hill, on Thursday, after Hill had made an inflammatory anti-Israel speech at the United Nations that the Anti-Defamation League declared to anti-Semitic.

In his speech, Hill called for a “free Palestine from the river to the sea”, a term that is commonly used by Hamas and other Muslim terrorist groups.  Opposition to Israel’s very existence and blind acceptance and promotion of radical Islam and Sharia law have become major tenets of the Progressive cult over the past decade. It is simply reality that you cannot be an accepted part of the Progressive “in crowd” and not hold what are undeniably anti-Semitic views.

This is a mental disorder, plain and simple, and a very dangerous one. Its belief system dominates today’s Democrat Party and our national news media, and it works every day to brainwash the public at large. It’s fun to make fun of Progressives – I do it here at the Campaign Update each and every day – but it is vitally important that we “normals” out here in Flyover Country recognize these people for what they are and take them very, very seriously.

Because they basically believe everything the Nazis believed, and have many more means at their disposal for getting their hateful messages to the public. The next time we elect one of them to the presidency, things are going to get very, very ugly.

That is all.
