WINNING ALERT: John Ratcliffe Confirmed as DNI – Godspeed, Ric Grenell

Today’s Campaign Update – WINNING ALERT

Texas Congressman and strong Trump supporter John Ratcliffe was confirmed by the full U.S. Senate to become the next Director of National Intelligence. The vote in the Senate was 49 to 44, along party lines, of course.

From a  report at the Wall Street Journal:

Once sworn in, he will take over from acting DNI Richard Grenell in the job of overseeing and coordinating 17 U.S. intelligence agencies with combined budgets of more than $80 billion and responsibility for everything from human spying to electronic eavesdropping and operating spy satellites.

Mr. Ratcliffe will be the first Senate-confirmed intelligence czar since August, when Dan Coats resigned after a tenure marked by friction with Mr. Trump.

He takes over at a time of challenges abroad including an increasingly confident China and North Korea’s weapons programs, and at home, where the normally nonpartisan business of intelligence gathering and analysis has become the subject of bitter partisan fights.

Mr. Grenell was seen by congressional Democrats as an overly partisan political ally of the president.

[End]

Do any of you give a damn what the Democrats think of Mr. Ratcliffe? I know I don’t. Ratcliffe will be tremendous in this job, and will do great service for the nation.

As happy as we all should be to have Ratcliffe finally confirmed after his start-stop-start, 9-month journey into the job, there is no doubt that Acting DNI Ric Grenell will be missed.

Here is a simple fact: No member of the Trump Administration to date has displayed the courage and focus on doing the right thing that Mr. Grenell has shown us since taking over this job on February 20. It is difficult to believe today that he has had only 3 months in the role, given all of the phenomenal things he has accomplished during that time.

Grenell has cleared more seditious dead wood out of the intelligence community these last three months than all of his predecessors combined. He has initiated a massive restructuring of the White House portion of the IC, and has led the fight to declassify hundreds of documents that had been previously withheld for specious reasons from the light of day.

In fact, Ratcliffe can thank Grenell for his own confirmation. Had Grenell conducted himself as a worthless, insubordinate protector of the DC Swamp like his predecessors have done, there is no way a Trump loyalist could have been approved by the corrupt Senate Intelligence Committee. But Democrats and RINOs alike were so fearful of what more Grenell might achieve if he were given another year in the job that they sped Ratcliffe’s process along over the past month.

Grenell now goes back to become the full-time U.S. Ambassador to Germany, where he has also done stellar work for the nation.

Every American should thank him and wish him Godspeed.

UPDATE: In their own piece on this confirmation, the guys at TheConservativeTreehouse make a final point that would send shivers up the spine of the Deep State:

FBI Director Grenell does have a nice ring to it.

Go for it, President Trump.

That is all.

Ric Grenell Should Stay in the DNI Job a Little Longer

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Before we get into the main topic for this morning, we need to call this out. The San Antonio city council has been completely overrun with Marxists. From the Mayor all the way down to the lowliest rookies on that body, it is now all-consumed with Marxist thinkers.

On Thursday, that council unanimously passed a resolution that literally turns San Antonio citizens and law enforcement official into Orwellian thought police. Check it out:

“…all persons are encouraged to report any such antisemitic, discriminatory or racist incidents to the proper authorities for investigation”. Be good citizens, comrades: Report your family and neighbors for speaking objective truth.

The Wuhan Virus comes from China. It is LITERALLY a “Chinese virus.” That descriptor, along with Wuhan Virus, is the most accurate descriptor of what the virus actually is. And the Marxists on the San Antonio city council just made it a crime to speak that plain, objective truth.

If you think this kind of crap is just happening in places like Seattle and San Francisco, you are living in a dream world. It’s happening right in your back yard.

Today should be a very interesting day. – On Tucker Carlson’s program last night, Fox News reporter/anchor Ed Henry reported on a “tip” he had received indicating that Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell had hand-delivered a satchel filled with additional key documents to Attorney General William Barr on Thursday. The delivery came shortly after Grenell had forced Adam Schiff to release the long-withheld transcripts of 53 interviews conducted by the House Intelligence Committee during its 2017-18 Russia collusion investigation.

Ed Henry says Ric Grenell spotted carrying documents to William Barr (Fox News screengrab)

From a report at the Daily Caller:

“But breaking tonight, Schiff may be even more panicked right now because I am hearing from two sources familiar with this that as early as tomorrow, Rick Grenell, the acting Director of National Intelligence, is going to reveal even more documents shedding light on the Russia probe of President Trump and how Schiff and other investigators knew for a long time there was no collusion even though they kept saying they had direct evidence there was,” Henry said.

“What’s also new tonight, Fox is learning there is a second set of documents that Rick Grenell, who now has the job Clapper had, brought to the Attorney General William Barr today in a satchel,” Henry said as Fox News producers played a clip of Grenell presumably delivering the satchel.

[End]

Henry went on to say that he had been told that some of the contents of what is in those documents would be made public as soon as today. While that may seem improbable, what we appear to be learning is that Grenell’s involvement makes anything possible.

The pace of document releases and other revelations about the Obama-era conspiracy to fix the 2016 election and then to take down a duly-elected President has been quickening for several weeks now. Much of that is due to the decision by President Trump to fire former DNI Dan Coates, who was in the job to protect all the Obama flunkies, and ultimately replace him with Mr. Grenell.

Through his own force of will, Grenell is not only reforming the IC, he is also forcing Attorney General William Barr to move more quickly or be seen as a force of obstruction. As more and more of the documents that we know John Durham has been looking at for over a year now become public thanks mainly to Grenell’s efforts, pressure is also applied to Durham to get his job done more timely as well.

Senator Chuck Grassley, in an interview on Fox last night, said that he thinks that we will start seeing results in some form from Durham “in 2 or 3 months,” which would put it in the July/August time frame. Grenell does not appear to be interested in waiting around for that long, however, especially given that he stands to be replaced in the DNI job soon by nominee John Ratcliffe. So long as Grenell remains in that job, there is no reason to expect him to delay his actions to fit anyone else’s slower time frame.

All of this raises an interesting conundrum for President Trump and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. While there is every reason to believe that Ratcliffe is one of the good guys in this ongoing drama, anyone coming into a position as pressured and intense as the DNI job is going to have a pretty steep learning curve, which means the passage of some time before he gets fully up and running. That learning period would present prime opportunity for the myriad career deep state skunks within the IC to undermine processes Grenell has put in place to ensure all of this information comes to light.

With the November elections looming just six months away, this is time the Administration does not have to spare. Given all of that, it might behoove the President to lean on McConnell to delay a full senate vote on Ratcliffe’s confirmation until Grenell has been able to force the critical mass of withheld information out into the light of day.

As “acting” DNI, Grenell is able to remain in the job for a six month period, which would terminate in mid-August. Given the stunning results he has produced in just three months on the job, it would be a good idea to leave him there for another three. No one in U.S. history has been as adept at strategically-delaying Senate action than Mitch McConnell.

While every person of good intent for the country is likely happy that Ratcliffe is now likely to be confirmed, the timing of his confirmation now appears to have risen to one of very high importance, thanks to the courage and sheer force of will shown by Ric Grenell.

That is all.

Democrats Spend the Ratcliffe Hearing Protecting the Chinese Government

The Mid-Day Campaign Update

If you watched Tuesday morning’s Senate Intelligence Committee confirmation hearing for Trump DNI nominee John Ratcliffe, you witnessed an entire political party that is apparently bought and paid for by the Chinese government. Those watching the livestream on Youtube were not able to see which senator was doing the questioning, but committee Chair Richard Burr identified each of them when they were called on.

Several Republicans on the committee questioned the nominee about his concerns related to the ChiCom government and the fact that its’ dishonesty related to COVID-19 literally caused a global pandemic that has now killed hundreds of thousands of people around the world. Democrats, on the other hand, focused their questioning on … you guessed it … Russia! Because of course they did.

Any time Ratcliffe expressed his real concerns about China and its increasingly hostile posture towards our country, the Democrat doing the questioning would immediately attempt to change the subject by saying something along the lines of ‘but what about Russia?’ Clearly, the Democrat talking points memo cautions against uttering a negative word about the ChiComs.

This is despicable and dangerous for our country. We have one of our two major parties – which controls a majority in one house of congress – that literally refuses to recognize the myriad challenges that a country with 1.4 billion people poses to freedom and peace not just to the United States, but all around the globe. Not only do Democrats refuse to verbalize any concerns related to China, they and their corrupt toadies in the media aggressively smear and demonize anyone who does.

They literally appear to be actively working on behalf of the ChiCom government.

Ratcliffe, of course, knew that reality going in, having spent the last decade of his life dealing with disloyal Democrat sleazebags like Adam Schiff and Gerrold Nadler. But still, the tenor and tone of the questioning in this hearing had to be a bit of an eye-opener for him in regards to just how much control the ChiComs and their lobbyists in the U.S. exert over the entire Democrat Senate caucus.

Other highlights of the hearing included:

– Ratcliffe being asked by every Democrat whether he would lie about intelligence matters to protect the President.

– The spectacle of the senator most deeply embedded within the Deep State – Virginia Democrat Mark Warner – giving a 3-minute soliloquy about how there is no such thing as the Deep State.

– Democrat Sen. Michael Bennet and other Democrats repeatedly asking Ratcliffe if he thinks the intelligence community has run amok, as if that were some big secret at this point in history, given all the recent document releases proving that it in fact has done that.

– Kamala Harris, who has done literally nothing in response to the Wuhan Virus, asking Ratcliffe if he thought President Trump took the virus “too lightly.” After Ratcliffe answered that no, he didn’t, Harris proceeded to read an article from the Washington Post. You just can’t make this stuff up.

– One Democrat – I didn’t catch which one it was – asked Ratcliffe who he agreed with about waterboarding, President Trump or John McCain. Holy crap. Ratcliffe of course stated that he would follow the law.

These people are garbage human beings, plain and simple.

Ratcliffe will be confirmed reluctantly by this corrupt committee on a party line vote in the coming days, because the members know that their only alternative at this point would be for Ric Grenell to continue in the post for another year. Grenell has made it clear that he has no fear of this committee, and no reluctance to aggressively go after the bad actors this committee still seeks to protect.

They’ve obviously decided that Ratcliffe would be easier to deal with and control. Given Ratcliffe’s history, I suspect they are about to be disappointed in that belief.

That is all.

Trump’s High-Stakes Re-Nomination of John Ratcliffe Puts the Heat on Mitch McConnell

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

This is President Donald Trump, daring the Deep State snakes on the Senate Committee on Intelligence (SCI) to kill his nominee for Director of National Intelligence (DNI):

Make no mistake about it, this is a high-risk gamble on the part of the President and Cong. Ratcliffe, who has been one of his staunchest supporters in the House of Representatives over the past three years. If you remember, the President put Ratcliffe’s name forward for this key post last August, and Ratcliffe decided to withdraw after just a few days when it became apparent that some of the RINO skunks on the SCI would plan to oppose his appointment.

That must not happen again this time. There can be no turning back, no voluntary withdrawal of this nomination when the going gets tough, as it inevitably will. If the SCI wants to kill this nomination, then President Trump and Cong. Ratcliffe must force them to actively do that, force the Republicans in particular to reveal their true subversive nature to the public.

If you voluntarily withdraw, then the political equation will be irreversibly in the Deep State’s favor, and this President will be stuck with Deep State toadies like Joseph Maguire and Dan Coats for the remainder of his presidency. Force the SCI to publicly kill this nomination – or better yet, force the Republican senators on that committee to approve him – and the political equation will shift irreversibly in the President’s favor.

My bet is that President Trump, in re-nominating a man who the SCI members have already covertly rejected, has told Mitch McConnell this: You either get Ratcliffe confirmed, or the DNI job will be handled by an “Acting” Director for the duration of my presidency. I would bet that the President has personally informed SCI Chairman Richard Burr that he is through having some Deep State flunky in this crucial job, from which that flunky is able to undermine his Administration and policies from within. President Trump may well have informed McConnell and Burr that they can either confirm Ratcliffe or be faced with a rotation of Ratcliffe and current Acting DNI Ric Grenell every 200 days from now through the end of 2024.

CBS and others reported on Friday that Burr and ranking minority member on the SCI Mark Warner have made it clear that they want to have a permanent Director in this job. The President responded by basically saying, ok, then you confirm my guy. Here he is – you’ve seen him before.

Leading Democrats like Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer have already weighed in with their statements of opposition to the nomination, but they are irrelevant here. Democrats are going to oppose anyone they view as an honest broker for this job.

McConnell has 53 votes in the Senate and a majority on the SCI, and it is up to him to get this nomination through, just as it is always up to him to get the President’s judicial nominees confirmed. The Majority Leader has proven time and time again that he is perfectly able to hold his caucus together when he really wants to do so.

For the Deep State, the DNI position is viewed as a last bastion of its ongoing ability to infiltrate and undermine this Administration. You saw the rabid reaction to Grennel’s appointment to hold this post for six months because these snakes know that Grenell has no loyalty to them. The same is true where Ratcliffe is concerned.

Their big fear with Ratcliffe is that he knows exactly where all the bodies are buried in regards to the illegal spying operations that took place during 2016 and 2017. Due to his key committee assignments, he has seen every document and heard or read every word of testimony from all of the House hearings that have taken place on the matter over the last four years.

Ratcliffe has on many occasions stated in interviews that he knows the official FBI narrative about its spying operations on the Trump Campaign having begun on July 31, 2016 is false. He says that the FBI spying actually began in late 2015 in an operation coordinated between the FBI and the CIA, implicating John Brennan along with James Comey.

So you can be certain that the Deep State members of both parties on the SCI, who have spent the last 3 years doing everything they can to confuse and obfuscate the public record on that matter, will not look on this nomination with favor. They want another snake like Coats or Maguire who will continue the coverup.

Thus, this nomination is entirely in Mitch McConnell’s lap. He can either use his considerable leverage to keep his members in line and ensure the nomination succeeds, or he can let them all publicly expose themselves for who they really are and where their loyalties really lie.

Either way, it is absolutely vital for the country’s future that the President and Ratcliffe to see this process through to a final, formal Committee vote. Do that, and the President retains his leverage regardless of the vote’s outcome. Withdraw before a vote, and that leverage vanishes into thin air.

High stakes.

That is all.

Why Doug Collins for Permanent DNI is a Genius Move – Ooops, Nevermind

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Thursday evening, President Trump issued the following tweet:

Earlier in the day, both the White House and Ambassador Grenell said that he would retain his key Ambassador’s post while he serves as Acting DNI. This naturally created speculation about how one man could do both jobs, a question that the President’s tweet clears up: Grenell will not be his nominee to take the DNI job permanently.
[EDIT: Wooops, and just like that, Doug Collins says he has no interest in the job. So, in my best Emily Latella voice, “Nevermind.”]

Speculation Friday morning centers around the President’s intention to nominate outgoing Georgia Congressman Doug Collins to the post. If true, this could be a stroke of Trumpian genius. Here’s why:

  • Collins recently announced he would leave his House seat in order to challenge incumbent Republican Senator Kelly Loeffler for her job;
  • Loeffler was appointed to that seat last year by Georgia Governor Brian Kemp when Johnny Isakson had to retire due to health reasons, even though President Trump had urged him to appoint Collins;
  • Mitch McConnell favored Loeffler for that seat, since she is more of an “establishment” Republican than Collins is;
  • McConnell was reportedly quite upset when Collins announced he would challenge Loeffler for the GOP nomination;
  • Trump has found it difficult – indeed, impossible – to obtain Senate approval for the appointment of someone truly loyal to him to the DNI position;
  • The Deep State skunks who infest the Senate Committee on Intelligence (SCI) want to see that post remain in the hands of Deep State flunkies like outgoing Acting DNI Joseph Maguire;
  • The only way around the SCI roadblock on this position is Cocaine Mitch, who has the personal power to manipulate his GOP majorities on the SCI and in the full Senate to approve any Trump nominee;
  • McConnell had no compelling interest in deploying his personal political capital to back Texas Congressman John Ratcliffe when the President nominated him for this key post last summer; thus, Ratcliffe could not obtain support from the SCI skunks;
  • On the other hand, McConnell DOES have a compelling interest to use that political capital to help Collins be confirmed, since he vastly prefers to deal with establishment, Chamber of Commerce-type Republicans like Loeffler than true conservatives like Collins;
  • Even better, the GOP skunks on the SCI also prefer dealing with a Kelly Loeffler over dealing with a Doug Collins.

Politics is a very interesting and complex game – the give and take of it, the never-ending machinations and skullduggery, the constant search for leveraging one player’s interests here in order to obtain their support over there, is infinitely fascinating.

It seems very likely to me that this is the President’s gambit in floating Collins’ name for this position. If so, it’s a brilliant one because it meets the wishes and needs of so many of the key players whose support will be necessary to see the nomination through to confirmation.

And if Collins is rejected by the SCI members due to his support of Trump, then the President would be well-justified to just keep rotating a procession of Acting DNIs into the post every 6 months for the duration of his presidency. There is no reason why any president should be forced to keep putting people he knows to be disloyal snakes into such a crucial job.

As the President loves to say, let’s see what happens.

That is all.

Coming Soon: The Deep State Smear of Ric Grenell

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

President Donald Trump (I still never tire of typing those three glorious words) loves to make history. He’s really good at it – better than anyone, in fact.

Last night, the President decided to make another piece of history that all of his predecessors in office, from the most conservative Republican to the most leftist Democrat, have taken a pass on doing:

Thus, Ambassador Grenell will become the first openly gay man to serve in a cabinet position. Ever.

Now, that’s not why Grenell was chosen for this job – the President picks his people based on their skills and qualifications, not on their identities in some minority group or another. Mr. Grenell is completely qualified for this post and would no doubt perform extremely well in it.

But isn’t it interesting that, for all of his lip service towards supporting the priorities of the LGBTQ community, and all of his open efforts to select a cabinet that, in his words, “looks like America,” Barack Hussein Obama his own self took a complete pass for 8 long years on setting this bit of history? Obama didn’t do it because he’s a standard politician whose every move is dictated by polling and focus group data, and he feared making this particular move might cause his public approval rating to tick down a point or two.

Trump is doing it because, well, he’s Trump, and because, in his judgment, Grenell is the best person available for the job.

But Grenell had better be girded for a fight, because, in order to become the permanent Director of National Intelligence (DNI), he must be confirmed by the Senate. And being confirmed by the Senate means that he must first obtain a majority vote in the Senate Committee on Intelligence (SCI), which has proven itself over the last 3 years to be a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Deep State.

From GOP Chairman Richard Burr to Democrat ranking member Mark Warner, and all up and down its roster, this committee is filled to the gills with Deep State hacks who are intent on keeping the DNI position in full possession of the professional Administrative State. That transparent goal is why the members of the SCI overtly killed President Trump’s nomination of Texas GOP congressman John Ratcliffe to fill the post last summer, precisely because Ratcliffe is viewed as an independent actor who is actually supportive of the President’s policies and goals.

Now, we have just gone through several months of Democrats, RINOs and the corrupt news media telling us that professionals in America’s diplomatic corps are all superheroes who simply must be honored, respected and perhaps even worshiped for their service. These people have been portrayed as beyond reproach, and certainly beyond criticism from mere mortals.

Yeah, you won’t be hearing any similar rhetoric about Mr. Grenell. What we will no doubt suddenly hear instead is how someone who has spent years in two major posts at the State Department just doesn’t possess the judgment or mysterious skills needed to run the Intelligence Community (IC). And it won’t just be Grenell’s qualifications that will be assaulted here: While RINOs like Burr and others sitting on the SCI will focus on that area, the media and Democrats will go after his character as well, exactly as they are in the process of doing with Attorney General William Barr.

This is how the card-carrying members of the Deep State attack anyone they perceive to be a threat. Make no mistake about this: Getting a true Trump loyalist into the DNI job would represent a clear and present danger to the Deep State’s continued existence.

That’s because it was the IC under Barack Obama that organized the illegal spying efforts on the Trump Campaign in 2015-16, and led the effort to fix that election. All the deep, dirty secrets remaining related to those operations and so many others are buried deep within the bowels of the IC.

So, we’re about to see a war over Grenell’s appointment starting today. If President Trump wants him to fill the position for more than the 180 days in which he can serve as Acting DNI, it’s going to take all of his influence and the influence of Mitch McConnell as well to make it happen.

Making temporary history is fairly easy for a President, like Trump, who is unafraid of the media and the polls. Making that history permanent, though, is going to become a vicious fight.

That is all.

We Appear to be in the Midst of a Second IC-led Coup Attempt

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

It now appears certain that the Intelligence Community is attempting to take down a duly elected POTUS for a second time in three years. – Sean Davis at The Federalist reported late Friday afternoon that, at some undetermined point in August, the Office of National Intelligence secretly implemented a change to its “whistleblower” policy that eliminates the requirement that a person must possess first-hand information of wrongdoing in order to have a whistleblower complaint expedited through the process:

The brand new version of the whistleblower complaint form, which was not made public until after the transcript of Trump’s July 25 phone call with the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky and the complaint addressed to Congress were made public, eliminates the first-hand knowledge requirement and allows employees to file whistleblower complaints even if they have zero direct knowledge of underlying evidence and only “heard about [wrongdoing] from others.”

The internal properties of the newly revised “Disclosure of Urgent Concern” form, which the intelligence community inspector general (ICIG) requires to be submitted under the Intelligence Community Whistleblower Protection Act (ICWPA), show that the document was uploaded on September 24, 2019, at 4:25 p.m., just days before the anti-Trump complaint was declassified and released to the public. The markings on the document state that it was revised in August 2019, but no specific date of revision is disclosed.

The timing of this, given the second-hand hearsay nature of the fake “whistleblower” complaint that led directly to the Democrats’ impeachment effort this week, is too convenient to be mere coincidence. It is key to remember that former DNI Dan Coats and his Deputy, Sue Gordon, both left their jobs involuntarily on August 15, three days after the fake whistleblower complaint was formally filed.

We do not yet know whether this secret change in requirements was made before, on or after that date, but the answer to that question will be extremely revealing. Many have been wondering why it is that this complaint has been even allowed to move forward, given that the fake “whistleblower” admits he has no real first-hand information about any alleged wrongdoing by President Trump or anyone else.

Now we know.

The possession of first-hand knowledge has always been a crucial part of all federal whistleblower statutes, in part as a means of preventing this exact sort of hearsay-based complaint becoming the norm, and being used as a way to settle political grudges.

So, just a few months after the Intelligence Community’s first coup attempt against President Trump failed with the crashing and burning of the Mueller Report, it now seems certain that the IC is coordinating fully with Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats in mounting a second effort, using essentially the same playbook. Level a false charge, invent a legend around that charge, coordinate talking points with the fake news media, double-down every time the facts fail to support the legend.

Meanwhile, as treasonous snakes mount this second coup attempt on his own watch, Attorney General William Barr is probably keeping himself locked in a safe room at his home, practicing his bagpipes. People should be getting rounded up and flown down to Gitmo, but all we get from our Department of [No] Justice is crickets.

God Bless President Trump for having the courage to continue fighting while everyone else around him scurries for cover.

That is all.

The D. C. Swamp Strikes Back! Ratcliffe Out…Hoekstra In?

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this #Winning yet? – Another month, another sterling jobs report. The private sector beat “expert” expectations yet again by adding 164,000 new jobs during the month of July, finishing the month with an all-time record 157,288,000 Americans gainfully employed. Even more encouraging is the fact that almost 400,000 Americans moved from the part-time jobs that characterized the Obama economy to the good-paying full-time jobs that are the centerpiece of the Trump economy. This truly never, ever gets old.

She’s gonna need some new script-writers. – The Chief of Staff and Communications Director for Anti-Semite Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez both resigned late on Friday under ongoing pressure from San Fran Nan and her house leadership goons.

The two Alinskyite lunatics, whose names I’m not going to specify on this site (AOC’s is enough work to expend on these garbage people for one morning) had come under fire last month after the Chief of Staff had accused Pelosi of “singling out women of color” and a referred to non-Marxist Democrats as segregationists.

Both men came to AOC from the despicable “Justice Democrats”, the group that supplies the fake congresswoman with her daily scripts. Their vacant positions will no doubt be filled with more staffers who have been trained by that anti-American Alinskyite group. As we have repeatedly seen, AOC is utterly helpless and sounds like a slow-learning 4th-grader whenever she attempts to speak without reciting from those daily scripts, so an injection of new blood from that group is essential for her continuing charade.

The Swamp Strikes Back! – D.C. Swamp rats from both political parties have won the first parry in the battle to replace the fired Dan Coats as the new Director of the Office of National Intelligence. Texas Congressman John Ratcliffe withdrew his name from consideration for the post yesterday amid a growing slime campaign in the national fake news media and ongoing behind-the-scenes opposition from GOP swamp rats like North Carolina Senator Richard Burr.

The Swamp Rats are now pushing hard to convince President Trump to nominate Coats’s Swampy Deputy, Sue Gordon, to become the new acting director when Coats leaves the post on August 15. Gordon has received endorsement tweets from an array of Deep State Usual Suspects in recent days, including Adam Schiff, John Brennan, James Comey and Rod Rosenstein, so you know she is someone who would do everything she can to block efforts to get at the cabal who attempted to fix the 2016 election and then tried to execute a coup d’etat throughout 2017 and 2018.

The fake news media is of course mounting a focused campaign to pressure the President to appoint Gordon to the post on a permanent basis. If he does that, then you can forget about any meaningful declassification of key documents taking place, as Gordon would be able to use her post as a roadblock.

The problem the President has is that the Swamp has now laid down its marker related to this crucial position as a hill on which it is willing to die, and there are half a dozen or more fake Republicans like Burr who are willing to help lead that battle. So, in order to get anyone confirmed in the Senate, where the Republicans hold a 53-47 majority, he is going to have to nominate someone with credentials that include experience in or around the nation’s seamy intelligence community.

The good news there is that the Wall Street Journal reported late Friday evening that Mr. Trump is considering former Michigan Congressman and current U.S. Ambassador to The Netherlands Pete Hoekstra as his next nominee for the post. How would Hoekstra fit the Swamp’s criteria? Well, as an early Trump supporter during the 2016 campaign, he wouldn’t.

But here’s the thing: Hoekstra is a former Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, a post he held from 2004 through 2007. That little item on his resume would rob the Deep State hacks of the argument – which they used against Ratcliffe this week – that he lacks an understanding of the nation’s intelligence operations.

Hoekstra not only understands those operations, as former Chairman of that committee, he knows where all the bodies are buried. Nominating Hoekstra might be another Trump masterstroke.

As President Trump likes to say, we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

That is all.

Bombshell: Dan Coats Out, John Ratcliffe In At ODNI

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

This is a big, big deal:

Congressman Ratcliffe can now expect to be demonized by the Democrats and their toadies in the fake news media because, well, that’s what they do. But Ratcliffe, a former U.S. attorney who is in his third term in congress, is well-qualified for the job and any of the 53 Senate Republicans who oppose his nomination will do so at their own political risk.

The departure of Coats, a long-time establishment Republican DC Swamp rat, has long been considered to be crucial to the process of declassification of key documents necessary to get at the truth of what really took place within the Obama DOJ/FBI/CIA/State Department during the runup to the 2016 elections. Coats has long been an impediment to that process, and you can tell the character of a man by looking at who his friends are.

For example, here is what ex-FBI Director and current National Teenage Drama Queen James Comey had to say upon learning of Coats’s “resignation”:

Then there is Democrat Senator Mark Warner of Virginia, who got caught in the fall of 2017 soliciting damaging information from Russians in a recorded phone call, and has spent the last two years doing his best to cover up for Comey, John Brennan, et al:

There will no doubt be much more high praise for Coats from the four murky corners of the DC Swamp today, but you get the picture.

Here is why getting Coats out of his position is so key to declassification: the Office of the Director of National Intelligence has the final say on what documents will and will not be declassified and released for public viewing. Signoff from the DNI is the last step in the process, and the presence of Dan Coats in that job is one of the main reasons why the process has been held up thus far.

The function of the ODNI is to coordinate efforts between the nation’s alphabet soup of intelligence and law enforcement agencies. The directors of all of those various agencies all have the opportunity to object to the declassification of any document that is somehow relevant to their operations. Any director who does so must justify their objection to the DNI. If the DNI agrees with the justification, it then becomes his job to communicate the decision to the President.

Rumors have long circulated that Coats has essentially served as a rubber stamp for the worthless FBI Director Christopher Wray and any other agency director who has wanted to hold up the process.

Thus, the firing of Coats – and make no mistake about it, this was a firing – was essential to the ultimate success of getting the truth out to the public. Wray still remains, but he can now be neutered by an effective and honest DNI.

So, you should expect an absolute war over the nomination of Ratcliffe, because the Democrats and their media toadies are unalterably opposed to the public getting the truth about the Obama-era illegalities. Sadly, you will no doubt see some Senate Republicans take a similar stance. If the Swamp can get to four of them, Ratcliffe’s nomination could be torpedoed.

The good news is that Ratcliffe and the President must have been assured by Mitch McConnell that the votes to confirm him are there; Otherwise, he would not have accepted the nomination.

Let’s hope so. The success of this nomination is vital to the entire process.

That is all.
