Corrupt Chuck Todd Shamelessly Pushes the DNC Narrative About Bernie Sanders

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Corrupt Chuck Todd is fast becoming the most tiresomely predictable man in the fake news media. – Whenever the DNC needs a narrative to be pushed, there is no more reliable direction to which it can turn than directly to NBC’s Chuck Todd. If there are Democrat talking points to be recited, no one recites them more fluently, agitatedly, or as verbatim than Corrupt Chuck.

Pretending to “host” his daily show on MSNBC, Todd actually parroted the following DNC talking points about the clear new front-runner in the run for the Democrat presidential nomination:

“I don’t understand how Bernie is considered a front-runner,” an animated Todd said on “Meet the Press Daily” on MSNBC. “This is a guy that, more people showed up to the polls, highest turnout ever, and his percentage went down, not up. His total number went down, not up.”

“I feel like the only people who are going out on a limb and calling Bernie Sanders the front-runner, they have other reasons to call him front-runner,” Todd, who moderates “Meet the Press” and serves as political director for NBC News, argued.

Yes, folks, Corrupt Chuck really has a hard time understanding why anyone would call the guy who has won the most votes in the first two contests of the nominating season, who now leads in all of the national public opinion polls, and who now strongly leads the polls in the next contest in Nevada, a front-runner.

You seriously could never make this stuff up.

Predictably, Todd attempted to bolster his ludicrous talking-points parroting by parroting more DNC talking points, to wit:

“This is a guy that, more people showed up to the polls, highest turnout ever, and his percentage went down, not up. His total number went down, not up.”

“One person leads delegates, one person has a lock on a chunk of the party, but we don’t know where this goes.”

Yes, Preacher Pete Buttigieg does currently enjoy a one-delegate edge over The Commie. But that is purely  a result of the efforts by the DNC to rig the process against Sanders. How else do we explain the awarding of one more delegate in Iowa to Buttigieg, who received 6,000 fewer votes than Sanders in the first round of caucusing and almost 3,000 fewer in the second round? How else do we explain the awarding of the same number of delegates to both men in New Hampshire after Sanders won over 4,000 more votes than Preacher Pete did?

And yes, The Commie’s total vote number in New Hampshire did go down from what he received in 2016. But only a rank simpleton or a dishonest DNC hack like Todd would stop his analysis there. In 2016, Sanders faced only 2 competitors, and only one who actually mattered: The Pantsuit Princess. This year, he faced 9 competitors in the Democrat field. Given that many of the votes he received in 2016 were inevitably protest votes against the Fainting Felon, it was inevitable that Sanders would get more votes this year.

Thus, Todd’s “analysis” is as idiotic as it is dishonest.

The real question about Todd’s rationalization is how does anyone holding himself out to be an honest journalist go on-air and endorse the DNC’s blatantly corrupt process?

Well, we all know the answer to that, don’t we? Corrupt Chuck is nothing more than a Democrat activist posing as a “newsman.” That is all he has ever been, and all he will ever be.

That is all.

The Trump/Barr Spat Might Be Nothing More Than Stagecraft

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Getting tired of all this WINNING yet? – No, the stock markets didn’t set new records on Thursday. But, hey, WINNING is never a straight-line progression, right? No, Thursday’s WINNING came in other areas.

Just hours after we wrote about her here at the Campaign Update, corrupt former U.S. Attorney Jessie Liu outright resigned from the Treasury Department, where she had been reassigned weeks ago in anticipation of her being confirmed by the Senate as Treasury’s undersecretary for terrorism and financial crimes. That opportunity went away after President Trump smartly pulled her nomination on Tuesday. Thus, one more deep state embed is now out of the federal bureaucracy.

Too bad, so sad.

No doubt we will see Ms. Liu pop up as a high-paid contributor at CNN or MSNBC in the coming weeks, because that’s what all these deep state skunks and snakes do.

In other news, President Trump and his Attorney General are now feuding. – Or are they? It’s hard to know, really.

William Barr gave what on the surface appeared to be a damage control interview to ABC News Thursday, during the course of which he complained about the President’s tweeting habits, saying at one point that “I cannot do my job here at the department with a constant background commentary that undercuts me.”

The Attorney General also stated that “I think it’s time to stop the tweeting about Department of Justice criminal cases,” referring apparently to the President’s Tuesday tweets about the DOJ’s conduct of the Roger Stone case, which by any rational measure has been outrageous and abusive.

Interestingly, in response to the Barr interview, White House Spokesman Stephanie Grisham said that President Trump has “full faith and confidence in Attorney General Barr to do his job and uphold the law” and he “wasn’t bothered by the comments at all and he has the right, just like any American citizen, to publicly offer his opinions.”

Translated into Trump Speak, that reads “Hey Bill, you have the right to speak your mind, and so do I. Deal with it. Just do your damn job.”

So, what we have here is, at least on the surface, a public spat between the President and his Attorney General. In light of the Democrat/media hoax swirling around the men over the Roger Stone case, however, which falsely alleges that the President abused his power by tweeting his outrage over the draconian sentence recommended by DOJ, it’s a mighty convenient spat indeed.

Think about it: What better time for an Attorney General to assert his independence from his boss than when he’s just been summoned to testify before a circus-clown-filled House Judiciary Committee in 6 weeks over allegations that he is not independent at all? What better time for Mr. Barr to do that when his lead investigator in the inquiry into the origins of the Obama-era spying on the Trump Campaign/Transition Team is preparing to start revealing his findings?

What better time for Mitch McConnell, John Thune and other prominent Republicans on Capitol Hill to come out and support Mr. Barr’s contention that he should be left alone to do his job, which they did on Thursday? This tactic – if it is one – won’t stop the Democrat efforts to smear Barr dead in its tracks, but it does under-cut their narrative, especially when Barr goes to one of the most biased and corrupt mainstream media outlets of all to use as his platform.

We all must remember that it’s the narrative that matters here. The narrative is all the left cares about – to them, truth has no real meaning anymore. The narrative dictates their daily conduct and indeed, for many of them, forms the very basis of their being. Whenever the narrative fails to have its desired impact, their effectiveness is diminished, and so is their power to influence the public.

So, maybe Barr’s interview and the President’s response were exactly what they appeared to be: A public spat over the President’s social media habits. Or maybe, as has so often been the case in the past, the President and his Administration were deploying a tactic designed to subtly promote their own preferred narrative about Mr. Barr’s independence in advance of Durham’s investigation finally starting to bear fruit.

It sure will be fun to find out.

That is all.

Interest Rates Will Become a Thing of the Past in this Century

Guest Piece by Tom Beck, Senior Editor of Portfolio Wealth Global

It’s true: the U.S. economy is on a roll. Companies are performing very well thanks to low interest rates and because America is still NUMBER-ONE in so many aspects, with technology chief among them.

Trump’s economic policies have brought jobs back, and there’s not a shadow of a doubt that his corporate tax cuts sparked a market boom, but the government CANNOT keep on acting as if deficits don’t matter.

Today, I want to show why central banks around the world are experiencing what I call “PEAK INFLUENCE” and how they stand to have a smaller impact on policy in the 21st century before eventually hanging their jerseys and retiring.

Take a look at this:

Courtesy: Zerohedge.com

A 700-year trend of DECLINING interest rates is very clear. The more our global economy becomes transparent and the risks become evident, the less risk a lender assumes. As a result, we even see loans being made at NEGATIVE rates.

What does President Trump want? Being a daredevil and a pioneer throughout his life, he wants the FED to acknowledge that the Treasury should also issue interest-free debt like Germany, Japan, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and others are implementing.

Let it sink in: interest rates will become a thing of the past in this century.

The role of fiscal policy, the one that government is in charge of, is much GREATER.

You want to have a man or woman who understands that they hold the magic wand. If the federal deficit can’t reach a sustainable trajectory with ZERO-percent interest rates and in a growth period, what else IS THERE?

Government will have a much more central part in shaping a country’s path than the central bank will. A nation’s economic strategy will be FUNDAMENTAL to its success.

For over 250 years, capitalism, free enterprise, and competition have led the barren North American continent to global supremacy.

This coming election will challenge the resolve of voters to be swayed by socialism, subsidized healthcare, and debt write-offs, but the cost will be GRAVE.

Gold prices have gone up by 20% since April of last year when the Bank of International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland changed gold into a TIER-1 asset.

Most people don’t understand the importance of it, but what it means is that gold is among the only reserves that banks can’t hold and value at 100% of the open-market price.

In other words, the CENTRAL BANK OF CENTRAL BANKS just told you that they consider precious metals as being the safest assets to hold.

Bigger than that, they’ve also indirectly told the markets that they’re ready to pay up to DOUBLE for their gold compared to before because Tier-3 assets, like gold used to be, were marked down by 50%.

What gold has done since 1971 has been incredible. Back then, had you bought one Eagle coin, you’d part with $35. Today, a bullion dealer would pay you close to $1,550 for that same coin. Had you had put $35 back then in your safe and taken them out in 2020, you’d be shocked to learn that those $35 buy a SIXTH of what they used to.

In other words, $35 in 1971 are $222 in 2020. This is an important data set, because it means that the price of gold has outperformed the rate of inflation!

Where gold stands out DRAMATICALLY is that it has fully retained its monetary role, in the eyes of the world’s largest money managers.

Governments, central banks and large funds already understand its significance, especially when it comes to hedging disruptions in geopolitics, in surprise inflation spikes or in debasement of fiat currencies.

They also understand that serves as a SUPERIOR asset, inversely correlated to their NET-LONG exposure to stocks.

Who owns most of the assets, globally?

The global pie of equity is divided amongst the world’s richest individuals, owning a colossal amount of stocks, real estate and businesses interests, but it is also owned by pension funds, which manage YOUR money.

Baby Boomers, the world over, have a vested interest in seeing stock prices rise, as well as bond prices, because their net worth is reliant upon them.

Therefore, unlike hedge funds and family offices, governments and central banks, which do diversify into gold, most of baby boomers, own NONE.

A downturn is much more risky for the average person, therefore, than to the sophisticated investor.

In case of a market shock, the big players will have gold, as a hedge, while your pension fund or your 401K plan, may not.

If you have IMMEDIATE needs for liquidity, then, as many boomers will, they may sell at a discount, out of stress and pressure.

Chuck Todd Lays Out the Real Democrat Goal: Rule by Unelected Bureaucrats

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

America is prospering again; America is at peace on a scale not seen in modern times; and the Democrats and their corrupt media toadies can’t stand it.  – Do you want to be governed by the people you elect to the executive and congressional branches of government? Or do you want to be ruled over by a vast administrative state occupied by millions of unelected and largely unaccountable bureaucrats?

That is the real question facing our society today, and NBC’s Democrat activist masquerading as a “journalist,” Chuck Todd, made his preference crystal clear today. In an interview with slow-witted Democrat Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse, Todd attempted to lead his interviewee into buying into his obvious belief that the DOJ simply cannot be managed by political appointees put in place by an elected President:

“Are we at the point where we can not trust a political appointee to be in charge of Justice? Do you have to change the way we do this, create more of a CIA/FBI/Federal Reserve approach to appointments for Attorney General? Figure out some distance from the executive branch of some sort?”

In posing that particular loaded question, Todd illustrates the totalitarian mindset among the political left, a mindset that has formed the foundation of every one of the major hoaxes the Democrat/Media propaganda complex has mounted against Donald Trump, and is now in the process of mounting against Attorney General William Barr, as I discussed this morning.

Writing at The Federalist, the great Mollie Hemingway laid it out this way in a terrific piece:

So much of the  drama of the last three years of the Trump administration is about the conflict between the Constitution, which requires political oversight of the bureaucracy, and the Resistance’s strongly held view that political oversight of the administrative state is evil.

The Russia collusion hoax was perpetrated by bureaucrats who admitted they were motivated by a a belief that their foreign policy vision was more appropriate and legitimate than the one chosen by the American people when they elected Donald Trump to be their president.

Likewise, the Ukraine impeachment effort was ginned up by a group of bureaucrats who wished that President Trump had followed their “interagency consensus” rather than his foreign policy vision. And the latest Resistance-created drama is about whether Attorney General William Barr should continue to let agents do outlandish things as part of their now-debunked Russia collusion theory or exercise any oversight whatsoever.

The Democrats and their corrupt media toadies, like Todd, have spent the last four years trying in vain to make the case that America should be ruled by a permanent, leftwing/globalist Administrative State, not governed by the officials who are actually elected by voters.

The Administrative State prefers U.S. involvement in endless wars in the Middle East and Africa; it prefers a U.S. economy hamstrung by endless, abusive regulatory strictures; it would leave the Ukraine defenseless against Russian aggression; it wants endless chaos at our southern border caused by illegal immigration, human smuggling and the drug trade; it favors the redistribution of American wealth to the rest of the world through globalist arrangements like NATO and the Paris Climate Accords and one-sided trade agreements and Obama’s Iran deal.

This is the very heart of the war President Trump has been fighting, almost alone, against the D.C. Swamp. William Barr’s apparent support of the Trump view in this war is why Democrats and fake journalists like Chuck Todd are mounting this new hoax against him.

If America is to survive as a constitutional Republic, it is a war that Trump and Barr must win.

That is all.

The New Democrat/Media Hoax Arrives: Impeach…William Barr?

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this WINNING yet? – Once again, every major U.S. stock market index closed at new record highs on Wednesday, with the Dow closing above 29,500 for the first time and the NASDAQ now up over 9700.

Tired of all this WINNING yet? Part II. – President Donald Trump will host his nemesis (one of them, anyway) at the White House today, when corrupt New York Governor Andrew Cuomo shows up for a pleading session. Cuomo will be there to humbly ask the President to prevail on the Department of Homeland Security to amend its decision last week to ban residents of New York from participating in so-called trusted traveler programs.

The reason for the DHS decision, of course, is the Governor’s own moronic decision to turn his state into a sanctuary for illegal aliens, and deny DHS personnel access to New Yorkers’ Department of Motor Vehicles data and criminal records. Which makes perfect sense – how can one be a trusted traveler, after all, if authorities cannot determine whether or not that person is actually trustworthy?

Oh, to be a fly on the wall at this meeting.

If the mob thought like this, Robert F. Kennedy would have been assassinated in 1963 instead of his brother. – Hey, trying to take out the President via impeachment was a miserable failure, so why not go after his lieutenants?  Yes, friends and neighbors, the 10-day period without an active hoax being run against the Trump presidency is over.

We all knew the Democrats and their corrupt media toadies would have to mount another hoax soon, but most thought it would be something they would run directly at President Trump. Yesterday, though, the plan came clear, and it turns out it is not directed at the President at all, but at his Attorney General, William Barr.

Yesterday’s Update talked about the resignations of the four corrupt DOJ lawyers from the case against Roger Stone, which was an obvious pre-planned, staged event designed to create the pretense for Democrats on Capitol Hill and their toadies in the fake news media to squeal that the President was using the Justice Department to protect his friends. After what we have seen the last 3 years, if President Trump is actually doing that, he sure is terrible at it, as “friend” after “friend” and associate after associate have been abused by American Gestapo Chief Robert Mueller and his pack of Clinton and Obama-supporting attack dogs.

So, it was obvious early yesterday morning that the Democrats were mounting a new hoax. What was not obvious before the events that took place throughout the day, though, who the precise target of this particular hoax would really be. It is now obvious that the ultimate target of this hoax will not be President Trump, but Attorney General William Barr.

And, as if to emphasize my point, here is Elizabeth Warren promoting the narrative:

Which makes sense when you think about it. After all, the Democrats have already tried and miserably failed to impeach and remove President Trump, causing his public approval ratings to rise significantly in the process. They may actually possess enough sense not to want to travel down that particular road again during an election year. So, hey, how about going after his Attorney General? Yeah, that’s the ticket!

The Democrat/media propaganda complex has been trying to figure out what to do about Barr since he announced the appointment of U.S. Attorney John Durham to conduct an investigation into all the efforts by the Obama FBI, DOJ and CIA to spy on the Trump campaign and transition team during 2016. Make no mistake about it, they are deathly afraid of what this investigation will ultimately produce, especially, as mentioned above, during an election year in which their Party and candidates are already obviously sucking major wind.

There isn’t much the propaganda complex can do to impeded Durham’s progress; so, being the evil little leftist hacks they all are, smearing the messenger is  the Alinsky tactic they have decided to adopt. Because of course they have.

Yesterday, the narrative became clear: William Barr, the former Bushie who all the establishment liberals went ga-ga over when he was nominated by President Trump, is now the Boogeyman. He is nothing but a puppet whose strings are being pulled by the Orange Man Bad in the White House, and he is using office to do the President’s bidding and nothing else.

Being the new Democrat/media Boogeyman, he must be removed from office, and if he won’t agree to be hounded out by the smear merchants in the Democrat congressional caucus and their media agents, then Jabba the Nadler and Pencil Neck Schiff will mount another impeachment effort, this time targeted at Barr, not the President.

Nadler, as Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, took the initial step of calling Barr to testify about the Stone dust-up and other matters yesterday, sending a letter to Barr that was of course immediately leaked to the willing hacks in the media:

Here is the full text of the letter:

The Honorable William Barr
Attorney General
U.S. Department of Justice
950 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
Washington, DC 20530

Dear Mr. Attorney General:

We are writing to confirm your agreement to testify before the House Judiciary Committee on March 31, 2020.

In the interest of transparency, we wish to be candid about one set of concerns we plan to address at the hearing. Since President Trump took office, we have repeatedly warned you and your predecessors that the misuse of our criminal justice system for political purposes is both dangerous to our democracy and unacceptable to the House Judiciary Committee.[1] Our Republican colleagues have warned the Department of the same.[2] We have been consistent — and bipartisan — in this message for years.

In your tenure as Attorney General, you have engaged in a pattern of conduct in legal matters relating to the President that raises significant concerns for this Committee.[3] In the past week alone, you have taken steps that raise grave questions about your leadership of the Department of Justice. These include:

  • The ongoing developments following the removal of U.S. Attorney Jessie Liu, who oversaw the prosecutions of President Trump’s deputy campaign chairman Rick Gates, President Trump’s former national security advisor Michael Flynn, and President Trump’s longtime political adviser Roger Stone.[4]
  • The creation of a new “process” by which President Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani can feed the Department of Justice information, through you, about the President’s political rivals.[5]
  • The decision to overrule your career prosecutors and significantly reduce the recommended sentence for Roger Stone, who has been convicted for lying under oath, at the apparent request of the President — a decision that led to all four prosecutors handling the case to withdraw from the proceedings in protest.[6]

These are not the only issues that our Committee intends to discuss with you when you appear, but they are enough to require our immediate attention.

We look forward to your testimony.

[End]

This is a really, really stupid path for Nadler and his fellow dimwits to tread. Barr will eat these people for lunch on these matters, fully digest them and eject them in a single bowel movement before the hearing ends.

  • The sentence recommended by the four corrupt lawyers prosecuting the Stone case was wildly outside of DOJ guidelines, and the AG intervened in the case before the President ever uttered a peep about it. Simple.
  • The “creation of a new “process” by which President Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani can feed the Department of Justice information” is in fact not new process at all. The DOJ has long employed a “process” by which the DOJ is open to receiving relevant information from any and all citizens of the United States, and non-citizens as well. Only the abject imbeciles infesting the Democrat side of House Judiciary appear to be unaware of this.
  • Jessie Liu? Really? She was removed from her job as head of the D.C. U.S. Attorney’s office after refusing to follow up myriad criminal referrals from members of congress and DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, as well as agreeing to help cover up wrongdoing on the Senate Intelligence Committee and its staff, and the Imran Awan case. Despite all of that, Barr still thought highly enough of her to convince the President to nominate her for a position at Treasury. That nomination was legally and properly withdrawn this week, and Nadler and his fellow Democrats are outraged. So what?Do the Democrats really want to provide Barr with a public platform to publicly litigate all of Liu’s actions while in the DC U.S. Attorney’s role? Talk about bringing in fire on your own position.

So, you might ask why Nadler decided to schedule this hearing for six full weeks from now? Most likely, he has information that Durham is on schedule to wrap up his work and either issue a report or start issuing indictments by that time. The tactic here would be to turn the hearing into an opportunity for the committee Democrats to smear Barr and Durham.

The tactical error made here is clear: Barr and Durham now know that they have six weeks during which to start releasing key information about the investigation and its findings.  They have an opportunity now to completely prepare their own stage.

Many, many Republicans in Washington are too dumb to think of taking advantage of such an opportunity. William Barr is not among them.

This new hoax is destined to fail just as all the previous hoaxes have miserably failed. But, hey, it’s all the Democrats have at this point.

Someone go pop some popcorn. This will be fun.

That is all.

The DOJ Rats Are Outing Themselves

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Talk about calling in fire on your own position… – All four corrupt U.S. Attorneys who have been persecuting, er, ‘prosecuting’ former Trump adviser Roger Stone abruptly resigned from the case on Tuesday, proving conclusively that they are deep state embeds who need to be fired from their positions at the Department of Justice.

Their mass resignation came in response to Attorney General William Barr’s move to rescind their abusive sentencing recommendation in the case of 7 to 9 years in prison for a guy convicted of “crimes” that normally elicit recommendations of weeks in jail or outright probation. This was no accidental event.

Indeed, as the day wore on, it became obvious that the four lawyers – Michael Marando, Aaron Zelinsky, Jonathan Kravis and Adam Jed – had intentionally misled the DOJ about what their recommendation would be, and submitted their outrageous proposal for the express purpose of creating this scenario. Their mass protest over Barr’s intervention was portrayed by a coordinating, corrupt news media as abuse by Barr and President Trump, who tweeted his own outrage over the sentencing recommendation early in the day.

Right on cue following the President’s tweet on the matter, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, Adam Schiff and Jabba the Nadler all issued statements of protest at what they called the President’s “abuse of power,” with Nadler even implying that Trump’s tweet was impeachable, due to his supposed interference with the DOJ internal processes. Nevermind that DOJ had already said it would rescind the sentencing recommendation before the President issued his tweet – the narrative is all that matters to the Democrat/media propaganda factory.

Chuck Schumer hilariously took the step of sending a letter to DOJ IG Michael Horowitz to perform an investigation of the supposed interference into the DOJ process by President Trump. But hell, it takes Horowitz a minimum of 14 months to find the damn bathroom. Talk about an empty threat.

Interestingly, even though the DOJ rescinded the abusive sentencing recommendation later in the day, providing its rationale for lower sentencing in the process, it left the ultimate decision on how much jail time Stone should serve up to corrupt Obama appointed federal judge Amy Berman Jackson, who is presiding in the case. This is the same corrupt judge who so abused Paul Manafort during his trial, placing a guy charged with 10 year-old tax evasion and lobbying irregularities into solitary confinement and invoking other measures that Al Capone and Ted Bundy didn’t even have to suffer.

Many Trump supporters were outraged at DOJ’s failure to offer a firm recommendation, but I think what have going on here is a dare. Barr appears to be daring Judge Jackson to issue a harsh sentence to Stone despite all the public uproar, in order to provide President Trump with a clear and unarguable rationale for issuing a full presidential pardon. It will be very interesting see if Judge Jackson takes the bait.

In the meantime, we have four corrupt, traitorous DOJ employees who have now stupidly identified themselves as deep state operatives, providing AG Barr with an unambiguous rationale for providing them office space in converted broom closets in which they can spend the remainder of their DOJ careers editing briefs written by real lawyers.

Or he could just fire them all outright. I’m good either way.

That is all.

New Hampshire Breeds More Chaos For The Democrats

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this WINNING yet? – While the Dow closed down by less than 1 percent, both the NASDAQ and S&P 500 managed record high closes for the second straight day despite indications from Federal Reserve Board Chair Jerome Powell that the Fed will not be lowering interest rates again at its next meeting.

Speaking of WINNING, Democrat looooosers were dropping like flies after poor finishes in last night’s New Hampshire primary. Andrew Yang was the first to end his campaign, in which he attempted to bribe his way to the nomination with the false promise of paying a “living wage” to every adult of $1,000. Just a few minutes behind Yang was Colorado Senator Michael Bennet, who most people didn’t know was in the race in any event.

A little bit later in the evening, some corrupt reporter – I never did find out who it was – tweeted a “scoop” that he/she had actually listened as billionaire Tom Steyer told his supporters that he was leaving the race, and many others picked up the “story” and repeated it. It turned out to be false, as Steyer, who has already wasted more than $200 million in the race to get to 1% in Iowa and 3% in New Hampshire, seems intent on wasting another few hundred million before finally giving up his ghost of a campaign. Cool.

The winner, of course, was The Commie, Bernie Sanders. The old Bolshevik  managed to outpace Preacher Pete Buttigieg by about 4,000 votes, similar to his initial vote margin in the Iowa Caucuses, where Preacher Pete ended up being awarded one more delegate by the Party’s “counters.” Despite his edge in the New Hampshire vote, The Commie was awarded the same number of delegates as the Preacher, leaving him still one behind in the Party’s bizarre method of awarding delegates, despite having collected about 10,000 more votes.

Because this is how the Democrat Party operates in the year 2020.

But the real stories of the night came with who finished in third place, and who didn’t manage to crack the top 3.

As I predicted yesterday, Amy Klobuchar had a strong showing, coming in third behind Preacher Pete and dominating the analyst panels on CNN and MSNBC.

Klobuchar probably shouldn’t get too used to grabbing so much of the spotlight, though. In New Hampshire, she benefited from an indecisive voter base in which almost half of Democrat voters didn’t make up their minds until the three days prior to Tuesday. This enabled her to benefit from a strong debate performance on Friday night, as well as the implosions being experienced by the previous favorites in the race.

The campaign moves next to Nevada, a caucus state in which heavy organizing is key. Klobuchar hasn’t had the funding needed to build much of an organization there, and is thus unlikely to do as well. With just 10 days left before that event, she has little time to really get into that race even if her strong NH finish results in a pile of new cash coming into her campaign.

South Carolina comes a week later, and she is barely even registering in polls there. Where Bill Clinton could finish an also-ran in New Hampshire in 1992 and then be pushed by the fawning news media into front-runner status, today’s corrupt media is too bought-in to promoting Preacher Pete and Mini-Mike Bloomberg as the great hopes to head off The Commie to spend much time pushing Sen. Klobuchar as an alternative. So, expect the talk around Klobuchar in the coming days to focus on the viability of her becoming a potential “moderate” running mate to balance a ticket headed by The Commie.

Then, of course, there were the big, big loooooosers of the night: Quid Pro Joe and Lieawatha, the two former “front-runners” in the race.

Think about this: Amy Klobuchar, who finished third, received more votes than both Crazy Uncle Joe and Fauxcahontas, combined. Neither candidate could even crack 10% of the vote. Given that these two had polled neck-and-neck in the state with The Commie since last April, that is a stunning result.

Biden was so certain he would have a horrible finish in New Hampshire that he cancelled his “celebration” party there and fled to South Carolina Tuesday afternoon so he could deliver a despicably pandering speech to a crowd that actually had some – as he calls them – “black and brown folks” in it.

After delivering her own concession speech, Little Mouth Always Running was seen trying to score some peyote and heading off to the nearest sweat lodge so she could re-calibrate her campaign’s strategy.

While all the drama in New Hampshire was taking place, Billionaire Bloomberg was spending another $30 million or so on ads in the big Super Tuesday states, which are the first ones where he will actually be on the ballot. By the time these other folks get to that point in the calendar, they’ll all be either broke or exhausted.

This is chaos, folks, a chaos that is setting up perfectly for a brokered convention in Milwaukee in July.

Finally, the story the media is ignoring this morning is the story about turnout. Total Democrat turnout was once again lower than expected, with 280,000 total votes cast in that primary, compared to expectations of more than 300,000. This is a depressed and floundering Party.

Meanwhile, GOP turnout wildly exceeded expectations, with more than 130,000 votes cast compared to projections of something around 100,000. The President received twice as many votes as Barack Obama, Bill Clinton or Ronald Reagan received in New Hampshire in their re-election bids.

And that is what President Donald Trump calls WINNING.

Here are my updated, post-New Hampshire odds for the ultimate winner of the Democrat nomination:

The Commie:     5 to 2

Mini-Mike:         3 to 1

Preacher Pete:  15 to 1

Klobuchar:        20 to 1

Quid Pro Joe:   100 to 1

Fauxcahontas:  100 to 1

Mike Bloomberg Has Some ‘Splainin’ to do

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Well, isn’t this just an inconvenient truth? – Just as he was beginning to gain traction in some national polls with his quarter-billion-dollar ad campaign – he now places third in the newest Quinnipiac national poll – Mini-Mike Bloomberg is about to face a hard truth about his real nature, and the policies he pursued while serving as Mayor of New York City.

The main policy in question is the so-called “stop and frisk” policy Bloomberg, who, remember, was then pretending to be a moderate Republican, aggressively enforced throughout his three terms in office. That policy helped to control crime rates in the most dangerous neighborhoods within New York’s five Burroughs by allowing police officers to stop and frisk anyone they considered suspicious without any real probable cause.

The policy was hugely successful, and was just fine for a Republican. But now, Mini-Mike is pretending to be a liberal Democrat, and trying to appeal to a voter base that has moved radically and violently to the political left over the last four years. Suddenly, the enforcement of a hugely-successful anti-crime policy that targeted mainly minority suspects (because, as you will hear Bloomberg say in a moment, that is where the vast majority of the crime is) becomes not an asset, but an enormous political liability.

Aware of this reality, Bloomberg has on a few occasions tried to preemptively explain this all away as a simple error in judgment. But this is a man who was Mayor of the nation’s largest city for 12 solid years, longer than Rudy Giuliani. Throughout those dozen years, Mini-Mike very aggressively pursued “stop and frisk” and many other anti-crime policies he inherited from Giuliani that without question targeted mainly minority communities.

Contrast that behavior to the policies of current Marxist/Democrat Mayor Bill DeBlasio, who has not only cancelled pretty much all of Bloomberg’s anti-crime measures, but is now just letting accused criminals out onto the streets without having to even post bail. This is the kind of chaos in the streets that the current Democrat voter base favors.

Bloomberg’s efforts at preemptive inoculation were already running into headwinds from the far-left radicals, but now his problems will become even more severe. Yesterday, audio leaked on Twitter of Bloomberg bragging to an audience in 2015 about “stop and frisk.” The language the ex-Mayor uses about minorities and their communities is very blunt and will serve to enrage identity politics radicals.

Below is a clip of the audio, followed by a transcript. You will see that Mini-Mike has, in the words of the late, great Desi Arnaz, “got some ‘splainin’ to do.”

Transcript:

95% of your murders – murderers and murder victims – you can line ’em up. You can just take the description, Xerox it and pass it out to all the cops. They are male minorities, 16 to 25. That’s true in New York, that’s true in virtually every city in America.

And, that’s where the real crime is. You’ve got to get the guns out of the hands of the people that are getting killed.  You want to spend the money on a lot of cops on the streets. Put those cops where the crime is, which means in minority neighborhoods.

So, one of the unintended consequences is people say ‘Oh my God, you are arresting kids for marijuana that are all minorities.’ Yes, that’s true. Why? Because we put all the cops in minority neighborhoods. Yes, that’s true. Why do we do it? Because that’s where all the crime is.

And look, the way you get the guns out of the kids’ hands is to throw them up against the walls and frisk them. And they start, and they say, ‘Oh, I don’t want to get caught.’ So they don’t bring the gun. They still have the gun, but they leave it at home.

Now, the corrupt national news media, in its role as the propaganda wing of the Democrat Party, will do everything it can to keep this audio covered up for Mini-Mike’s benefit. But it’s out there now, and every pro-Trump social media account will be repeating it to their audiences from now through November. You can also be certain that portions of this audio will become parts of hundreds of hours of Republican ad campaigns should Bloomberg ultimately manage to purchase the Democrat Party’s presidential nomination.

Again, this was an extremely effective policy, one that made the law-abiding citizens in these minority communities far safer than they are today under New York’s current Marxist Mayor. But it is also a policy that without question violated the civil rights of many innocent people, the vast majority of whom are target Democrat voters.

There is just no way to explain that language, coming as it did several years after Bloomberg had left office, as an innocent error in judgment. Regardless of how diligently the corrupt media works to cover this all up, Mini-Mike has a real problem in a Party that is so heavily reliant on minority votes to have any chance of winning. And the leaders of the Democrat Party now will have to decide if they really want to sell their presidential nomination to such a problematic billionaire.

Ain’t it great?

That is all.

UPDATE: About 10 minutes after I posted this piece, President Trump weighed in on this matter as only he can do:

Oh, man, this is, in a word, delicious.

UPDATE II: And now there’s this video. Unreal.

About Those 70 Obama Holdovers Cut From the NSC…

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this WINNING yet? – Both the NASDAQ and S&P 500 set new record highs on Monday, as the Trump economy just keeps WINNING for Americans and their 401(k)’s. The Dow was also up, but not quite at record levels reached a few weeks ago, before  the Coronavirus scare. And it’s only going to get better, as early trading futures indicate all indexes will open at higher levels today.

About those “70 Obama holdovers” cut from the NSC… – Twitter and other social media outlets went nuts on Monday over a slightly misleading report issued by the Washington Examiner. The report itself, filed by Paul Bedard, is accurate, but requires some close reading to understand what is really being communicated.

Unfortunately, as is so often the case, it was the headline that misled most readers and caused the story to go viral on social media, which of course was the goal of the misleading headline. That headline reads as follows:

Bigger than Vindman: Trump scrubs 70 Obama holdovers from NSC

BOOM, right? Well, sort of. Coming as the report did on a Monday morning, barely 48 hours after the removal of everyone named Vindman from the NSC staff, the headline is obviously designed to create the impression that dozens of disloyal Obama holdovers on the NSC staff were removed over the weekend. And that was how the story was portrayed by repeaters throughout social media and conservative media like Breitbart.

The trouble is, that is not what happened.

The misleading part of the story itself comes not in what the author said, but in what he left out of the text. While it is apparently accurate that 70 NSC employees, most of whom were indeed holdovers from the Obama era, have been removed from the NSC staff, nowhere in Bedard’s story does he mention that this transition has been a slow and steady process that has taken place since current National Security Advisor Robert O’Brien took over that job last fall.

There was no replay of Nixon’s “Saturday Night Massacre” at the NSC over the weekend; indeed, I can find no evidence that a single member of the NSC staff was fired or reassigned on Saturday or Sunday. However, it is apparently true that O’Brien, working on orders from President Trump, has succeeded in ridding the White House of 70 NSC deep state functionaries since he came into office several months ago. It is also true that O’Brien has publicly stated that this process of weeding out the bad guys is still ongoing and could end up with the removal of up to half of the bloated NSC staff of 200 that President Trump inherited from Barack Obama His Own Self.

Clear?

There is still much reason to celebrate here, as O’Brien finally does the job that General Mike Flynn, Trump’s original appointment to be the National Security Advisor, would have done had he not been entrapped and framed by Obama FBI holdovers Peter Strzok and Joe Pientka. Better late than never.

And the good news keeps coming. On Monday, former U.S. Attorney Joe DiGenova told an interviewer that he has been told by “a very senior U.S. government policy official” that the “Anonymous” author who wrote the infamous 2018 New York Times column claiming that he and “like-minded” colleagues working in the Trump Administration were actively undermining the President’s agenda has been identified and will be fired this week.

In a report this morning on Fox’s “Mornings With Maria,” author Lee Smith said that two fairly senior officials, Secretary of Defense for Policy John Rood and Special Representative for Iran Brian Hook, have also been identified as disloyal staff working to undermine administration policy, and both would likely be removed this week. Rood served in several posts during the George W. Bush administration, including a stint as an analyst at the CIA. Hook is also a former Bushie who served in the State Department in the waning days of that administration.

Whether either man is the “Anonymous” author is unclear at this time.

The good news here is this: Three full years into his Administration, President Trump finally has a National Security Advisor who is fully on his team and helping him to achieve his goals. What we are seeing O’Brien accomplish today is one of the main reasons why the Obama people were so panicked about having a Trump loyalist in Mike Flynn as the NSA – because, as we have seen, Obama had packed the NSC staff with deep state operatives who served as the nexus of all the serial leaking that so damaged this presidency in its early years.

You may have noticed that the frequency of leaking from the White House has dramatically diminished since O’Brien took the job.

And O’Brien isn’t done yet.

WINNING.

That is all.
