Saturday News Roundup: 9th Circuit Clownshow, DOJ Moves on Google, More BLM Terrorism

The 9th Circuit once again beclowns itself. – A 3 judge panel of the leftist 9th Circuit Court of Appeals proved that court to be the patron judicial saint of lost causes yet again on Friday, ruling that President Trump’s use of Pentagon funds to build the border wall is somehow unconstitutional. It isn’t.

This ruling is even more clownish than usual for the 9th Circuit, given that the Supreme Court of the United States already ruled on this same question last July. So this decision is not only wrong, it has already effectively been overturned. The circuit court judges who voted in favor of even hearing this case should be held personally responsible for reimbursing the government’s costs related to it. This is judicial malpractice, which has become an epidemic in this country over the last 3-1/2 years.

News you won’t see reported on CNN. – Readers here will know that I have repeatedly written about the need for the U.S. Department of Justice to pursue anti-trust charges against Google, Twitter, Facebook and the other big tech monopolies, who are the modern-day version of Standard Oil. During the leadup to the 2018 elections, when it had become apparent that the Democrats would likely win control of the House, I even urged President Trump to make trust-busting a major focus of his second two years in office.

Well, here we are, less than 5 months until Election Day, and it appears to the Department of Justice is finally getting around to doing something here.

From a report at Politico:

Justice Department prosecutors expect to file an antitrust lawsuit against Google in the coming months focused on the company’s dominance in online advertising and search, two individuals familiar with the discussions said Friday.

DOJ lawyers and state antitrust officials met online Friday and discussed contours of the expected complaint, according to the people, who weren’t authorized to speak on the record because the investigation is ongoing. People knowledgeable about the case had previously described litigation as likely.

The suit is expected to involve allegations that the search giant has monopolized the advertising technology market. It is also expected to include allegations that Google has taken steps to extend its monopoly over search, such as through contracts with Apple and cellphone makers who use the Android operating system that require it be the default search engine.

The people cautioned that Attorney General William Barr, who did not attend the meeting, has yet to make a final decision on whether to sue, a judgment he could make in the coming weeks. The department would also need to decide what remedy it would seek, such as trying to break up the company or placing limits on its behavior. Whether the state attorneys general would also sign on to the DOJ complaint isn’t yet determined.

[End]

It’s very late in the game, but hey, better late than never. The problem here is exactly the same we see with the John Durham investigation still sitting out there with zero people indicted: If the presidential election goes the wrong way, any investigation into Google that has failed to produce a lawsuit by November will be immediately dropped by a Biden administration and whatever corrupt hack he names as his attorney general. A case already moving through the courts would be far harder for an incoming administration to justify ending.

Why you need to stay aware of your surroundings when out in public. – It’s becoming increasingly apparent that the domestic terrorist group Black Lives Matter is now systematically having its activists assault random white people in public. We’ve all seen the video of the 93 year-old woman who was assaulted on the street in New York last week, and yesterday we have this from Michigan:

Michigan authorities have charged an 18-year-old black man for the “unprovoked,” caught-on-video assault of a white Macy’s manager, officials said.

Damire Palmer, of Mount Morris Township, faces one count of felony assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder for the June 26 attack on the employee inside the Flint department store. Palmer is still in the wind.

“This was an unprovoked attack on a Macy’s employee,” said Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton in a statement. “This behavior as seen on the video is unacceptable, it is criminal, and it cannot be allowed.”

Contrary to initial claims, police and prosecutors didn’t uncover any evidence that Palmer assaulted the staffer after he’d allegedly used the N-word, officials said.

“We don’t believe any racial slur was made by the store manager,” Leyton said.

In surveillance video that prosecutors obtained from Macy’s, Palmer walks around the store then approaches the manager from behind and clocks him in the head, knocking him to the floor, officials said.

[End]

This is a classic terror tactic BLM has used in the past and the group has now obviously decided to reactivate that particular program, which it has referred to in the past as “Operation Polar Bear.”

Keep your head on a swivel and protect your loved ones. These people are trained Marxist thugs, and this is what they do.

That is all.

Donald Trump Just Keeps on WINNING for America and Americans

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this WINNING yet? – As the demented, depraved, despicable and disloyal House Democrats were advancing their impeachment scam to the Senate on Wednesday, President Donald J. Trump was doing what he does best:  WINNING for America and the American people.

About 30 minutes after San Fran Nan and her House manager clownshow pep squad held their morning press conference, President Trump hosted a set of Chinese and U.S. dignitaries at the White House signing ceremony for the Phase I trade agreement between the two countries:

Image may contain: 3 people, suit

As you can see, the Dow leapt up over the 29,000 level as the President was speaking, and it remained there for the rest of the day, closing at an all-time high. All other major U.S. stock indexes finished the day at record levels.

The WINNING is only going to get better today, since as I’m typing this up, Iowa Senator Joni Ernst is telling Maria Bartiromo that the Senate will pass the massive US/Mexico/Canada Agreement (USMCA) at 11:00 ET this morning. The White House plans to hold a presidential signing ceremony for that major deal early next week, when the WINNING will continue.

Meanwhile, while all that WINNING was taking place, San Fran Nan held a presser at which she announced her House Manager Clownshow Pep Squad, pictured below.

Image may contain: 8 people

There they are in all their carnival midway glory, folks. All that’s missing is the bearded lady and wild man of Borneo, although Jabba the Nadler is a great stand-in for him.

In introducing her latest scam clown show cast, Pelosi promised that they would conduct themselves in a “solemn and prayerful” manner. She then held a celebratory signing ceremony, complete with gold-plated signing pens on which the word “United” was misspelled.

I kid you not, the Democrats are so damn divisive that they cannot even spell the word “United.”

Pelosi’s behavior during this celebration was so bizarre and at odds with her public statements that even people at CNN were disturbed by it all:

Once the signing party was completed and the misspelled pens had been passed out to the assembled circus clowns, Pelosi released the House Managers to hand-carry the articles of impeachment over to the Senate, in another traditional, solemn and prayerful exercise. Here is a shot of the Managers heading over to the Senate:

In other official Democrat Party news, one of their former leading contenders for the 2020 nomination – at least according to all the folks at CNN and MSNBC who put him on-air about 200 times – the Creepy Porn Lawyer, Michael Avenatti, was arrested yet again out in Los Angeles. To make things even better, this time he was arrested while he was at a license revocation hearing before the California State Bar!

As reported by The Federalist:

A new filing in the case United States v. Avenatti shows an arrest warrant has been issued for former Stormy Daniels lawyer Michael Avenatti. An image shows Avenatti being led out of the court by federal agents while he attended a hearing at the State Bar of California in Los Angeles.

Avenatti was at the State Bar of California for a disciplinary hearing for allegedly doctoring a document used to scam a client out of $840,000. Avenatti was allegedly funneling this money from his client for his personal use.

Here he is, being taken away by agents for booking:

That, folks, is WINNING, BIGLY.

But wait, there’s even more WINNING! – Following Tuesday evening’s “debate” on CNN, Fauxcahontas angrily refused to shake the offered hand of The Commie after the two had had a tense back and forth over whether or not he had told her during a private meeting last year that he thought she should not run because it wasn’t possible for a woman to win the presidency.

Last night, CNN released a clip of that confrontation, complete with audio and subtitles:

Full Transcript:

Fauxcahontas: I think you called me a liar on national TV.

Commie: What?

Fauxcahontas: I think you called me a liar on national TV.

Commie: Let’s not do it right now. You want to have that discussion, we’ll have that discussion.

Fauxcahontas: Anytime. You called me a liar. You told me…

Sanders: All right. Let’s not do it now…

Steyer: I don’t want to get in the middle of it…I just want to say hi, Bernie. [What a weasel this guy is.]

Sanders: Yeah, good. Ok.

[End]

First of all, who hasn’t called Elizabeth Fake Indian Warren a damn liar? This woman has publicly and shamelessly lied about every single aspect of her life, and has been caught [fake] red-handed doing it time after time after time. In this contrived controversy, if you have to take someone’s word for it, the odds really favor the Commie.

But hey, these are Democrats we’re talking about here, people who view every second of their pathetic lives through the lens of identity politics. So, let them just fight it out, because every moment Democrats spend tearing themselves apart is a moment of WINNING for America.

That is all.

Schiff and Granholm Float Another Despicable Trial Balloon

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

What if the Democrats impeach President Trump, but then don’t take the next step? – The next step envisioned by the founders in writing the U.S. Constitution would be that the House, acting in good faith, would then quickly transmit the articles of impeachment to the Senate. There, a trial would be held in short order to determine whether or not the impeached president should be removed.

But of course, as we have seen repeatedly in recent years, today’s Democrats are not people of good faith, a future potentiality that American patriots like John Adams and Thomas Jefferson – who disagreed vehemently on political matters but always acted in the best interests of their country – simply could not imagine. Because they simply could not contemplate the possibility of a House of Representatives being populated in the majority by actively seditious individuals who care nothing about the nation’s well-being, they did not feel the need to explicitly lay out rigid times frames for every step of this sad process to take place.

Thus we now have the spectacle of Bug-eyes Schiff and former Michigan Democrat Governor Jennifer Granholm laying out a scenario on the Sunday morning talk shows in which the seditious Democrats would go ahead and vote on articles of impeachment before congress recesses for the Christmas holidays, but then hold them up indefinitely while the House Intelligence Committee under Schiff’s control continues its clown show witch hunt.

The Democrat theory of the day being that Republicans can’t begin a Senate trial until the articles have been formally transmitted to them by the House. Here is what Schiff had to say to CNN’s fake host Jake Tapper:

“We have continued to learn more information every day. And I think that is going to continue,” he said on CNN. “So, we may have to file addendums to that report. We may have other depositions and hearings to do.”

Later on the same program, after Schiff laid out his strategy for ongoing investigations as far as the eye can see, Granholm detailed the other side of this latest un-American tactic:

“It is important to consider as Democrats to slow our roll a little bit. I was glad to hear that Adam Schiff said there is other information and this is not the end of things. And people are saying before you toss it over to the Senate, why don’t you take your vote on what you’ve heard and just hold it. Seal it, like a sealed indictment until you’ve gathered what you think is necessary to convince the jury that has already made up its mind. I don’t think we’re there yet.”

Yeah, sure, just seal it like an indictment, and keep the nation in limbo for as long as ol’ Bug-eyes sees fit.

This of course is what is known in the DC Swamp as a “trial balloon.” Schiff and Granholm obviously coordinated their remarks in advance to roll this concept out and see what kind of reaction it creates in the public and among their corrupt media toadies like Fake Jake Tapper. The media reaction is certain: They will just all nod their collective hive brain and parrot the Democrat talking points like the good little organ grinder monkeys they truly are.

The public reaction, though, is less certain. Democrats are already seeing their polling numbers drop rapidly, especially among independent voters who are sick of this nonsense. Will a clear, undisguised stalling tactic like this create even more disdain from the voters?

The reality about all of this is that Schiff and Granholm both know that the Democrats have miserably failed to present any evidence that the President has committed anything remotely resembling an impeachable offense, and they are desperate to justify keeping their pathetic witch hunt alive. Being Soviet-style Marxists at heart, they are true believers in the Stalin/Beria philosophy of “show me the man, and I will find you the crime,” and they simply cannot accept that they haven’t been able to execute on that where President Trump is concerned.

This is, in other words, the rhetoric of people who know they have failed terribly.  But if you don’t believe they are depraved, demented and despicable enough to try to follow through on it, you need to play closer attention.

That is all.

In the Business World, This Impeachment Circus Would be an HR Dispute

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Anyone who has ever spent any time in the business world has been in this meeting: You’re running a project, and you get your 20-member project team together in the main conference room for a meeting. You’ve prepared an agenda for the meeting, assigned whatever speaking roles need to be performed, distributed whatever pre-read documents are necessary for the meeting to produce its desired result.

You have done your job as the team lead. And the meeting goes just as planned. The discussion points were all covered, the various speakers all added well to the conversation. The meeting ended with heads nodding all around the table, and everyone seemed happy.

And yet, within hours you discover that the 20 team members left your well-planned and executed meeting with 20 different perceptions of what was said and what was supposed to happen going forward. In fact, one of the participants in the meeting turned out to be so upset because his priorities weren’t addressed that he actually decided to go lodge a formal complaint with Human Resources, and then gossiped about it with anyone who would listen in the break room.

You discover all of this because a few hours after the meeting ended, you got a call from HR demanding that you come explain why employee X’s personal priorities weren’t addressed in your carefully-planned and executed meeting.

Anyone who has been in a team lead and/or management position in the business world for any extended period of time has found themselves in this position. It happens every day in every sizable company in America.

This is exactly what happened in the wake of the July 25 call between President Donald Trump and his counterpart in Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.  You had a bunch of diplomats/bureaucrats/spies listening in on that call on the “American” side – although, given that he was offered the job of Ukraine Defense Minister no fewer than three times, it is questionable how “American” Alexander Vindman actually is – and every one of those career government employees left the call with their own unique impressions of what just happened.

One of those people – Vindman – was so upset that his own personal priorities for the call had not been met that he decided to go file a complaint, not with HR, but with the NSC counsel, and then went around gossiping about it to apparently anyone who would listen to him. One of those people was CIA plant Eric Ciaramella, who became the fake “whistleblower” who kicked off this whole affair after consulting with Bug-eyes Schiff and his staff.

In essence, that is what all of this has now boiled down to after three mind-numbing days of he-said, she-said, we-said, they-said, I-was-told, I-heard, I-thought, I-felt and I-was-upset nonsense from these “public servants.”

The big difference is that, in the business world, each and every one of these self-important jackasses would be fired by any competent boss. But in the government world, the worst that will happen to any of them will be getting reassigned to some cushy teaching job at Georgetown University.

These are exactly, precisely the very people 63 million pissed-off Americans hired Donald J. Trump in 2016 to get rid of.

That is all.

GOP House Intel Members Executed a Plan for a Change

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this #WINNING yet? Yeah, neither am I. – Ho-hum. You know what’s coming, don’t you? That’s right: The Dow Jones Industrial average and the S&P 500 closed yet again at all-time record highs on Wednesday. Morning trading was way up as investors began to realize the clownish House Democrats were going down in flames one more time in their latest attempt to frame President Donald Trump, but then pulled back somewhat in the afternoon when news came that US and Chinese representatives had hit a snag in their trade negotiations.

Speaking of the Schiff/Pelosi/Media impeachment circus, we summarized the day’s glorious action with a late afternoon post yesterday, but it’s important to note why the Republican committee members were so successful and effective in that hearing. That’s important to understand, because it has been a rare outcome in the past for Republicans, and it shows some very promising developments are taking place within the House GOP caucus.

Let’s go these reasons:

Strategic thinking – In a somewhat stunning development, the Republican members of the committee came into the hearing with an actual strategy. This is something the Democrats have always done, at least going as far back as the Nixon impeachment. But the Republicans have, in all but a tiny few instances, always avoided strategic planning like it was a communicable disease.

I’ve actually testified in a couple of congressional hearings myself, staffed executives who were testifying in several others, and sat through dozens more over the years, and it has always been striking to me to witness the difference in coordination between the Democrats and the Republicans. The Democrats invariably come into every hearing with a clear goal in mind for outcome, assignments on who covers which specific topics during their 5 minutes of questioning, and excellent message discipline. Republicans typically seem to show up with no goal in mind, no discernible assignments and the message discipline of a bunch of alley cats.

I don’t know if credit is due to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, Ranking Member Devin Nunes or Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan – who was transferred to House Intel just for this hearing process – but whoever it was that led this effort to do some strategic planning, kudos to you.

They had a goal in mind – And that goal was to decimate the witnesses before them. Not to play nice with them, not to waste precious time slathering praise on these two guys for their service to the country – or in George Kent’s case, his father’s and grandfather’s service – not to just question what they had to say in some half-assed manner, which has always been their norm in these settings, but to destroy their stories and reveal them for what they are: A pair of disloyal deep state hacks.

This goal became evident right from the start, when Devin Nunes basically insulted them as a couple of operatives who managed to pass muster in Schiff’s capital basement interrogation process so well that they became his star witnesses. Every Republican who asked questions was tough, pointed and precise, taking care not to needlessly insult them and set off the snowflake battalion among the perpetual outrage mob on Twitter, but to destroy the narrative they were pushing point by point.

That was the goal, and by the end of the day, the objective had been met.

They had clear assignments – Rep. Nunes was the stage-setter. His opening statement, when the live TV audience was at its maximum, was a scorched-earth devastation of the pathological Schiff personally and of the Democrats’ four-year effort to frame the President. You could tell how effective it really was by observing how the Democrat toadies in the media reacted to it: The shrillness of their response to anything Nunes does always has a directly inverse relationship to his level of effectiveness.

Jim Jordan had the assignment of ripping Bill Taylor’s credibility to tiny shreds, point by point.  This was no easy assignment, because Taylor – unlike Kent, who relied on co-opting the military service record of his ancestors to lend himself credibility – really did serve his country with valor during the Vietnam war before becoming a career bureaucrat. So, Jordan had to rip Taylor’s confusing and byzantine narrative to shreds, reducing him to a mumbling heap, and do it all with a smile on his face. He did all that and more, with Taylor even chuckling along with him at several points.

Everyone else who asked questions, from John Ratcliffe to Chris Stewart to Elise Stefanik to Michael Turner, addressed clearly-defined subject matter and were very effective. As is the case in any team effort, their level of effectiveness was no doubt enhanced by having a clear plan and strategic approach.

They had message discipline – The Republicans came into this hearing with several key messages they wanted to hammer over and over and over again in order to beat them into the collective mind of the viewing public. Among those key messages were:

– This whole process is a sham led by perhaps the single most dishonest member of congress;

– There was no quid pro quo;

– Where’s the whistleblower, and why won’t Adam Schiff be honest about his contact with him?;

– The elected President, not unelected bureaucrats like you guys, gets to determine U.S. foreign policy;

– Neither of these witnesses has any first-hand knowledge about anything relevant;

– The real bad actors relevant to Ukraine are Joe and Hunter Biden.

These messages were pounded home repeatedly, with GOP questioning leaving the two witnesses completely stumped and wordless time after time. In the end, it was Chris Stewart who got to deliver the right uppercut that devastated the Bidens:

Of course the answer is no, which is why neither of these very DC Swampy creatures could muster a response.

The Bottom Line – Unless Schiff and San Fran Nan have some witness waiting in the wings who is going to make some stunning new accusation backed-up by real, first-hand knowledge and corroborated by others, they would be far better off disbanding this budding fiasco today rather than extending the pain for another two full weeks or more.

After yesterday, they have a clear rationale for doing so, and for pinning it on the President. They could gather all their corrupt press toadies together for a live conference, and tell them that the testimony of these two third-hand gossips and nasty questioning by the GOP members of them shows that it would unproductive to continue this process. They wouldn’t want their other third-hand witnesses to be “bullied,” after all.

They could then blame it all on President Trump and his firm assertion of executive privilege in refusing to allow his top advisors, who might actually have some first-hand information about something relevant, to testify before Schiff’s clown show.

And then they could all go to the capitol basement and huddle up to work on their next false narrative designed to frame President Trump.

Of course, Nan and Bug-eyes aren’t clear-headed enough to do that, so the nation will be subjected to this clown show until it comes to a bitter end.

That is all.
