Why Mayor Pete is More Likely to Become President Than Joe Biden

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Please note that headline says “Become President,” not “Become the Democrat Nominee in 2020.” – That’s a key distinction here, because Biden still does have a slightly better chance of being the party’s nominee, although even that edge is steadily declining and will continue to do so over the summer.

And this shouldn’t be just a comparison between Buttigieg and Biden. I would submit that Kamala Harris has a better shot at becoming president than Elizabeth Warren, and that even Irish Bob O’Rourke has a better shot at doing so than Cory Booker and everybody has a better chance than The Commie does.

Why? The first reason is simple. Because, as I wrote back on April 5, American voters don’t like electing Washington, DC long-timers to be their president.

Here’s what I wrote in that piece:

… since Biden first came to Washington, the American people have shown a very strong bias against electing “experienced” guys like him to serve in the presidency. Going back to the 1976 election, here is how many years’ experience in Washington DC our past seven presidents had when they got elected:

Jimmy Carter – 0

Ronald Reagan – 0

George H.W. Bush – roughly 20

Bill Clinton – 0

George W. Bush – 0

Barack Obama – 2

Donald Trump – 0

Combined, those seven presidents had about 22 years’ total experience in the DC Swamp, with Bush 41 having almost all of them. Bush 41, as we all remember, was defeated in 1992 by an outsider, Bill Clinton, who got a big assist from an even more authentic outsider, Ross Perot.

Are you seeing a trend here? I am.

Who are the “establishment” candidates in this race? Biden, The Commie, Fauxcahontas, Booker, Kirsten Gillibrand, Amy Klobuchar, Tim Ryan. While Biden, the Commie and Fauxcahontas are currently leading the polls for the nomination, the odds are heavily-stacked against any of these people being our president-elect come November 4, 2020.

Americans don’t want some crotchety old geezer who’s been ensconced in the DC swamp for 30+ years – or even 10 years – to be their national leader. If they did, Robert Dole and Walter Mondale and John Kerry and Al Gore and John McCain would have all served in the nation’s highest office over the past 30 years.

Yes, Harris is a senator, but she’s only been in that office a little over two years, same as Obama circa 2008. Yes, Irish Bob O’Rourke was in congress for 8 years, but he never did anything notable while there so nobody is really aware of his time in DC. Thus, both are viewed by the media and public through that same Obama “outsider” prism.

But back to the Biden/Buttigieg thing: The simple fact of the matter is that Buttigieg is a better, more effective candidate than Biden, and Biden knows it. Biden right now is riding the same wave of party establishment support that Jeb! was riding at this point in 2015. Well all know how that turned out.

Mayor Pete was all over the news yesterday because of the townhall he did on Fox News Sunday night, which was hosted by Chris Wallace. Conservatives complained all day Monday about Wallace’s softball conduct of the interview and the fact that Fox News chose to fill the venue with a pack of Buttigieg supporters, but so what?

The fact is that Buttigieg proved once again that he is an extremely composed and impressive public speaker, far moreso at age 37 than Creepy Sleepy Joe is at age 76. He is also very adept at fielding tough questions, as he proved back in March when Wallace peppered him with much tougher questions on Fox News Sunday. I was so impressed with Mayor Pete’s performance at that time that I tagged him as one of the real “Rising Stars” of this primary season.

Yes, most of what he says and thinks is batsh*t crazy. Yes, most of what he says is outright lies. But Buttigieg is, as one Democrat congressman said of Bill Clinton back in 1993, “an unusually good liar.” He says the crazy stuff he says with the conviction born of a true sociopath, which puts him in company with the last two Democrat presidents.

Contrast that with the likes of Elizabeth Warren and Cory Booker, both of whom are also inveterate liars but who are both unusually bad at it. Come to think of it, Gore and Kerry were also unusually poor liars, as were Dole, Poppy Bush and McCain – it must have something to do with spending too much time in the nation’s capital.

And then there’s Biden, who has been lying about so many things for so long that they just pop right out of his mouth, but only in short, semi-literate bursts in which no sentence is ever completed. Biden’s like a guy with a case of political Tourette’s syndrome. Biden is fond of saying “I’m the guy that passed that [fill-in-the-blank] bill!” only the bills he talks about either don’t exist or were written by someone else. On Sunday, he went even further, claiming he was the guy who started the whole “Climate Change” thing back in 1987. Somewhere, Al Gore – who also didn’t invent this whole “Climate Change” thing but likes to claim he did – is saying “whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?”

But I digress. All the Democrat candidates lie about pretty much everything because they’re all leftwing hacks and that’s the only way leftists can win elections. It’s just a given. Democrat voters love to be lied to, and will generally end up nominating whichever candidate is the most effective liar of the bunch.

The key for Democrat voters in this cycle will be to nominate the best liar who is not a fossilized DC insider if they want to have any real shot at defeating President Trump. Because Americans innately understand that the DC establishment, regardless of party affiliation, is their true mortal enemy.

Many Americans have tired of all the uproar and chaos that they have seen since the election of Donald Trump, and would love for things to calm down after 2020. But are they likely to choose to replace a political outsider like Trump with a long-time establishment insider who will just return things to the status quo they rejected in 2016?

Nope.

That is all.

Chris Wallace’s Latest Sunday Disgrace Shows Growing Leftward Shift of Fox News

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

This is Fox News. – No, really, it actually is Fox News Sunday, the flagship Sunday morning program for the supposed “balanced” news channel. Hosted by Chris Wallace, son of long-time CBS reporter Mike Wallace, this program is fast becoming a bell cow signaling a general shift in Fox’s news reporting from “fair, balanced and unafraid” to “liberal, tilted and aspiring to be CNN.”

This Sunday’s program showed Wallace at his very worst: bomastic, combative, argumentative, constantly interrupting and shrill.  Well, that was how he behaved when he interviewed Trump White House counsel Rudy Giuliani, anyway, barely allowing the former New York Mayor to get three words out before jumping in to “correct” him. Here’s the clip:

That’s not an interview, it’s disgusting hackery by a biased interviewer focused on not allowing the interviewee to get his message out. It’s like something out of the prime time CNN or MSNBC lineups, something you’d expect from Chris Matthews or Chris Cuomo.

Next up for Wallace on Fox News Sunday was Bug-eyed Adam Schiff, the pathological liar congressman from California who has been running around for two years claiming he’s seen clear proof of “Russia Collusion”, but refusing to say what that “proof” actually is. So, you’re thinking, wow, this clown’s coming on Fox News, he’s gonna get destroyed, right?

Wrong.

Watch as intrepid Fox host Chris Cuo…er…Matth…er… Wallace poses softball question after softball question, and then sits back in his chair and lets Schiff drone on and on and on without any attempt to interrupt him or correct the false record he’s creating:

I have in the past praised Wallace for his even-handedness. Frankly, I believe his conduct of third debate between Trump and the Pantsuit Princess, focusing on issues of substance rather than Trump’s personal failings as the two previous debate moderators had done, played a big role in the clinching the election for President Trump. Wallace can be a fine, real journalist when he wants to. But his conduct on Fox News Sunday recently and his commentary on other programs during the week show a decided leftward trend.

So, there you go, folks, there is today’s Fox News: biased, timid and totally afraid to do its job. Oh, the prime time line up remains a bastion of conservative advocacy – for now, anyway. But the daytime and weekend news programs are all trending liberal/left, and another year or two of that trend will leave this cable channel looking no different than its competition.

Robert Mueller, media/Democrat hero, is suddenly Robert Mueller, media/Democrat target. – What a difference a few weeks make. As long as Robert Mueller was functioning as America’s Gestapo Chief, er, “Special Counsel” and trying to execute a slow-rolling coup d’etat on President Donald Trump, he was the media/Democrat establishment’s Upright Man, a man with unassailable character, a man who was going to save the country from the BAD ORANGE MAN in the White House.

For almost two solid years, this guy was completely off-limits to reporters muck-raking for a story. For all those months while his Witch Hunt was ongoing, no “journalist” working at any mainstream fake news media outlet would have ever dreamed – not in a million years – to try to accost the Upright Man With Unassailable Character as he walked around in public.

Think about it: In all that time, from May 17, 2017 when he was appointed until March 22, 2019, when he folded up his tent and formally handed his final report to Attorney General William Barr, do you remember seeing a single reporter attempt to ask this guy a single question? Yeah, neither do I.

But now, his coup d’etat effort having failed with a real Attorney General suddenly occupying that key office, Robert Mueller finds himself fair game, even a target for the media and their Democrat masters. He found that out the hard way yesterday as he emerged from church on Easter Sunday, and found a despicable fake reporter and camera guy running up to shout questions at him as he tried to get into his car and leave. Here’s the video of that disgusting incident:

So hey, Bob, this is the thanks you get for carrying the Deep State’s water for two years. Frankly, it couldn’t happen to a more deserving guy.

Best of luck with all of that.

That is all.

The Real “Rising Stars” in the Democrat Nominating Battle

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

By now, we all know that Irish Bob O’Rourke is a fake “rising star” in this year’s Democrat presidential nominating contest. Irish Bob always was little more than a pure media creation, and he is now struggling on the national stage mainly because the same media that created and supported him in his 2018 run against Ted Cruz has now moved on to campaigning for Kamala Harris and The Commie.

But there are two real rising stars in the Democrats’ nominating battle, and their names will probably surprise you: Andrew Yang and Pete Buttigieg.

I talked about Yang and his insane plan to just cut a $1,000 monthly check to all American adults in Tuesday’s Campaign Update, but he’s worthy of further discussion, because he’s exactly the kind of candidate who could suddenly catch fire in this race, especially if he were to perform strongly in the first couple of debates this summer.

His personal story is very compelling, especially to younger Democrat voters: He’s a first-generation American in his family, the son of parents who legally immigrated from Taiwan. He’s young (44), he’s good-looking, he’s intelligent, he’s articulate, he does well on television, and he’s really good at sticking with his talking points and avoiding giving direct answers to questions, a talent Democrat voters really, really love.

The fact that he’s a businessman would enable Democrat voters to insincerely brag about not nominating their usual standard-issue politician, and the fact that he’s not an old white guy would definitely appeal to the Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez followers who believe old white men are responsible for all of their own failings in life. If he were a woman or a trans-gender, the Democrats would simply call off their primaries and nominate him by acclamation; but as it is, he ticks off an awful lot of the boxes one must tick off in order to attract the votes of the demented Democrat base.

Yang is not showing up in the polls yet, but as I noted on Tuesday, he has been attracting high turnouts for his events and he has already collected enough money from a large enough number of contributors to qualify for the first debate in June.

Bottom line: This is a very smart guy who is worth keeping an eye on.

Pete Buttigieg, the 37 year-old, publicly gay Mayor of South Bend, Indiana, is another very smart guy who deserves some attention in this race. Yeah, he’s a white male, but he’s not old, so he gets a pass from the AOC “blame everything on old white guys” crowd, which is a rapidly-growing segment of the Democrat base.

Here is another young, good-looking, intelligent and articulate guy who does extremely well on television. How well does he do on television? He spent 12 minutes this past Sunday morning being peppered with pretty tough questions by Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace, and never missed a beat. Never once strayed from his preferred talking points, never hesitated to give an evasive non-answer to Wallace’s direct questions. The man has a very high degree of equanimity, which is going to come across your TV screens during the upcoming debates.

On top of all of his other attributes, Buttigieg is also a Rhodes Scholar, a Harvard graduate, and a commissioned Naval Intelligence Officer who spent seven months in 2014 serving his country in Afghanistan. I personally have no use for Harvard graduates, but Democrat voters think it’s all gnarly and stuff. From that perspective, it’s quite a resume’.

Buttigieg has also reportedly raised enough money from enough individual contributors to qualify for the early debates, and has also begun showing up in the polls, turning up with 3% support in this week’s Emerson poll. If he can perform as strongly in those early debates as he did on Sunday with Chris Wallace, this is a guy whose campaign could really catch fire.

To be clear, I don’t agree with either Yang or Buttigieg on anything from a political standpoint. Their policy proposals – packing the supreme court is Buttigieg’s favorite issue right now – are your standard-issue Democrat/socialist lunacy.

But just looking at their respective backgrounds and personal attributes, and doing so from the perspective of the demented Democrat voter base, these two guys seem the most likely to rise in the race as no-chance candidates like Gillibrand, Klobuchar, Booker and Warren inevitably drop out. One or both could really catch a wave and jump into the top tier by the time Iowa and New Hampshire come around next January.

It’s going to be a fun – and frightening – process to watch.

That is all.

McCarthyite Democrats Now Bringing Back the Blacklists

Today’s Campaign Update
(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Your Democrat Party/Fake News Media in Action! – In a true profile in cowardice, DNC Chairman Tom Perez announced that the Democrat Party would boycott Fox News during its presidential nominating contest.

Obviously anxious to prevent mental midgets like Cory Booker and Joe Biden from having to answer anything resembling a tough question, Perez hilariously said that  “I believe that a key pathway to victory is to continue to expand our electorate and reach all voters,” just not voters who watch Fox News.  You seriously just cannot make this stuff up.

No doubt Perez and his fellow Democrats are still angry at Fox’s Chris Wallace, who is a liberal but still an actual professional journalist, for his conduct of the third debate between then-candidate Donald Trump and the Pantsuit Princess. After the first two debates, hosted by your standard fake news clowns Lester Holt and Elaine Quijano, had become nothing but Trump slam fests over personal issues, Wallace chose instead to focus his debate questions on actual, real issues that matter to the American public, and that spelled doom for the Fainting Felon.

Not that it’s surprising at all, given that it is just one more step by the Democrats toward revealing their true totalitarian nature, but this is really pathetic. It is also quite dangerous, since now we have a political party officially blacklisting a media outlet – which happens to be far and away the most-watched cable news outlet – because it doesn’t like it. Even more dangerous, no one else in the fake news media is slamming Perez for his childish behavior.

What does that tell us? Obviously, it tells us that they’re all in this together, the Dems and their media partners, and they’re no longer putting up any pretense otherwise.

All the leftist masks are now off: the Democrats have unmasked their true socialist/fascist visage, and the fake news media has unmasked its longstanding alliance with the Democrats.

Some fake journalists on Twitter tried to defend the Democrat blacklisting of Fox by pointing to a recent allegation that the cable channel became aware of the Stormy Daniels story in October 2016, but sat on it until after the election. Even if that allegation is true, it is meaningless in this controversy, since it is a simple fact of history that that the three TV broadcast networks have been sitting on stories that would damage Democrats since John F. Kennedy was banging the girlfriend of mob boss Sam Giancana, Judith Campbell Exner, in the White House on a weekly basis.

For his part, President Trump responded to the DNC action on Twitter:

It would actually be a blessing to the country if Mr. Trump simply blew up the Commission on Presidential Debates entirely. This “tradition” of holding such debates was not a tradition at all until the 1960 election, when JFK and Richard Nixon agreed to hold the first such events in modern times. The current format is structured on the false pretense that “journalists” from Democrat-controlled outlets like NBC and CNN can be trusted to conduct these debates in a fair manner, which obviously never happens.

Due to the very nature of our national news media as nothing more than the propaganda wing for the Democrat Party, the Republican candidate is always at a disadvantage. Even Wallace’s questions, while issue-oriented, were invariably infused with his own personal bias against Mr. Trump. And who will ever forget CNN’s Candy Crowley actually jumping in to help Barack Obama “answer” a question by feeding him false information in the middle of the debate with the hapless Mitt Romney?

But here’s the thing: This entire structure and process exists because traditional, establishment Republicans who have always run the Party’s governing apparatus are scared to death of the news media, and because they have always taken advice on how to deal with the media from the very same firms that provide similar advice to the Democrats. So these GOP squishes have always gone along with the pretense that propaganda outlets like NBC and ABC are staffed with real journalists, not political activists beholden to the Democrat Party. Once Republicans accede to that false pretense, they have quite simply lost.

Trump makes no such pretense, and has spent the past four years now demonstrating how to keep winning despite near-100% negative, often false news coverage, but those lessons have been lost on establishment Republicans. We can always hope they will learn between now and next fall, but don’t bet the farm on it.

There is also a huge lesson in all of this for the people at Fox News who make a habit of jumping to the defense of other media outlets whenever they are singled out by a president or his administration. These morons even came to the defense of the infantile jerk Jim Acosta last fall when the White House temporarily revoked his press badge.

But today, with no one in the fake media coming to their defense as they are blacklisted by the DNC, will Bret Baier, Wallace and John Roberts finally figure out that their “colleagues” at all the fake news outlets are neither their friends nor worth defending?

Probably not. But again, we can always hope.

That is all.

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) – 3.1.2017

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends):

– In between episodes of lecturing others for the size of their carbon footprints and making fun of the President’s hair style, a group of actors flew an eyebrow artist (yes, to all of you lecturees, there is such a thing as that) 7,500 miles from Australia to Los Angeles to do their eyebrows for the Academy Awards ceremony. That’s a 15,000 mile round trip, all to pluck some elitist brows. But hey, who hasn’t done that, after all?

– Maxine Waters, lunatic congresswoman from California, boycotted last night’s speech by President Trump before a joint session of congress. No one with functioning brain synapses cared.

– Oh, yeah, and President Trump gave a speech. Before congress. A joint session. It was one of the best such speeches ever given. Truly, strikingly, great. Hit all the right notes, talked eloquently about all the right policies, had some of the most tear-jerkingly emotional moments in it that any such speech has ever contained. Called all members of congress, of both political parties, to action, to work for the good of the American people. So naturally, the Democrats and the fake news media hated it.

– Best line in the entire speech? There were so many, it’s hard to say. I had two favorites, though:
1) (Talking about executives from Harley Davidson, who have a hard time exporting their product due to foreign tariffs) “They weren’t even asking for change. But I am.”
2) “I was not elected to represent the world. I was elected to represent America.” After 8 years being reigned over by “citizen of the world” Obama, it was so refreshing to know our current President actually understands his job.

– Many Democratic women members of congress, who have been elected to serve there in free elections, and enjoy the amazingly privileged lives of the national protected class, wore all-white dresses to the speech to express their solidarity with women suffragettes. Apparently no one told them that that fight was won a century ago. Given that they serve in congress, you would think they’d know.

– Most telling moment of the speech: When the President said, “The time for small thinking is over,” some Democrats actually hissed. Hey, when you have a tiny, closed mind, small thinking is all you got.

– In his post-speech analysis, Fox News’s Chris Wallace said that “Donald Trump truly became President tonight.” Well, no, he truly became President on January 20, but you’re just now noticing.

– The Democrat response was delivered by some septuagenarian former governor from Kentucky. They were showing off their youthful bench.

Just another day in Trump Derangement Syndrome America.

That is all.
