That Week When Kanye West and Taylor Swift Traded Roles in the Democrat Narrative

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Giving advice like this is why she had to take a job at a third-rate cable outlet. – MSNBC’s pet fake conservative host Nicolle Wallace told Chris Matthews on “Hardball” yesterday that she advised Jeb Bush to physically attack Donald Trump after their first debate.: “I told Jeb Bush after that debate that I thought he should have punched [Trump] in the face.”  The demented Wallace said that doing so would have made Jeb! a hero.  All of which explains why Nicolle Wallace can’t get a job as a political advisor anymore.

Mmmmmm…smells like #Winning… –

Senate confirms 15 Trump judges after GOP leaders, Democrats strike deal

“Everybody mount up!  We got us a runaway!”:  It is truly sad and astonishing how viciously the Democrats and their media toadies invariably go after any African American who strays from their leftist plantation.  Astonishing and disgusting and yes, sad.  It happens every time.

From Clarence Thomas to J.C. Watts to Herman Cain to Ben Carson to Tim Scott to Candace Owens, with many others in between, the playbook is always the same.  They’ve even done it to the great Jim Brown, one of the pioneers of the civil rights movement and a symbol of “Black Power” for half a century, for simply saying he doesn’t think kneeling in protest of the national anthem and American flag is appropriate.

Now comes Kanye West, one of the most successful Black music artists and businessmen of this or any generation, a man who just 13 years ago was hailed as a hero by these very same people when, on national television, he said “George Bush hates black people.”  Kanye was a hero again when he stole the mic from a teenage Taylor Swift at the MTV Video Music Awards show so he could take off on a rant about how Beyonce’ should have won the award for best video instead.

Kanye’s always been a little off-the-wall and more than a little “out there”, prone to going off on somewhat bizarre and disjointed tirades in public settings and speaking his mind far more bluntly than polite society thought was, well, appropriate, don’t you know. But as long as Kanye was sticking with the approved Democrat/media narrative that George W. Bush was a racist or Tay-Tay was just a privileged white girl stealing an award from a more deserving Black woman, Kanye was, like, totally awesome.  He wasn’t cray-cray, he was just Kanye bein’ Kanye.

But yesterday, Kanye goes to the White House wearing a red MAGA cap, hugs President Donald Trump and goes off on a terrific rant about how Trump’s pro-America, anti-Obama policies are in fact incredibly empowering for African Americans, and suddenly you see the leftist keepers of the Democrat talking points on MSNBC and CNN calling him “crazy,” a “house-negro”, an “embarrassment”, an “uncle Tom”, and even worse.  One fake “conservative” host on MSNBC accused him of having “mental problems” and the President of being “willing to exploit them.”  Interestingly, most of these things were said by white people, who, if they said exactly the same things about any Democrat black person would immediately be accused of being racists.

This week’s radical shifting of celebrity roles in our fake news media must have non-ideological African Americans suffering from whiplash.  Just a few weeks ago, the Democrats/media Axis of Propaganda’s narrative told them that Tay-Tay was the privileged little white girl who is still holding Beyonce’s trophy hostage, and Kanye was a symbol of Black empowerment.  Today, they’re supposed to now worship Tay-Tay because she endorsed a certain Democrat loser in Tennessee, and they’re supposed to hate Kanye for hugging a President.

Just a guess, but it seems likely that the millions of African Americans who now have jobs after collecting unemployment for 8 years under Barack Obama probably don’t much care what a bunch of mainly-white talking heads at MSNBC and CNN are saying about Kanye West.

And speaking of Tay-Tay… – Man, has it been a bad week for Taylor Swift, or what?  Sunday night, the pop singer finally broke her political silence, endorsing Democrat Phil Bredesen in his race for the U.S. Senate against Republican Marsha Blackburn.

At the time Tay-Tay jumped off the political cliff, the most recent polls indicated this was a very tight race.  But when the New York Times decided to do a live poll of the race two days later, it showed Blackburn with a huge 18 point lead.  Two additional polls issued this week also show Blackburn’s lead in the mid-teens.

Swift’s jump into politics was conveniently timed to coincide with her hosting the American Music Awards program Tuesday night, and organizers of the event were hopeful that the star could bring in yuuuuuge ratings.  Nope.  Tay-Tay’s gig was in fact the lowest-rated AMA show in history.

Combine that with the certainty that her ill-advised leap into leftist politics will no doubt result in a steep drop in her future music sales, and this has been the week from hell for poor Tay-Tay.  But hey, she has S.E. Cupp, Nicolle Wallace and the rest of the depraved nitwits who serve their Democrat masters on MSNBC on her side, so she’s got that going for her.

It isn’t much.

That is all.

John McCain’s Legacy: It’s Complicated

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Senator John McCain died on Saturday.  Whatever one thinks of his political career, his early service to the nation and the years of torture he endured and triumphed over as a result of it deserve to be remembered and honored.

May he Rest in Peace.

A complicated man with a complicated legacy. – We now, of course, will be treated to a week of our fake news media using the death of Mr. McCain as a tool with which to bash President Trump – whose relationship with McCain was extremely rocky – and support the Democrat narrative.  Because that’s what our fake news media does.

It started even before McCain passed, with the fake journalists at the Washington Post running a story bashing the President for not making a statement on McCain’s halting all medical treatment, even though McCain had repeatedly made it publicly clear he did not want any such statement from Mr. Trump, or for Trump to attend his funeral.  McCain’s wife and daughter had also repeated the senator’s feelings on the subject – thus, Trump was simply acceding to the family’s wishes.

The President did issue a statement expressing sympathy for the family via his Twitter feed:

Naturally, he was bashed by much of the fake news media even for that statement, with most fake journalists who hate every Republican – including McCain – pretending to take offense that it does not contain praise for the late Senator.

The reality is that the President can’t win in this situation, regardless of what he says or does.  Were he to issue a statement lavishing praise on McCain, the fake news media and Democrats would bash him for being hypocritical, given his frequent verbal battles with the Senator.  Were he to express his true feelings about the man, he’d be appropriately bashed for that, given the timing.  Were he to have remained silent, well, he was already being bashed for that within seconds of McCain’s passing.

Again, most of this situation is of the President’s own making.  His gratuitous taunts at McCain and his military service during the 2016 campaign were childish, inadvisable, reflected poorly on his own character, and set McCain up as the sympathetic figure in their relationship.  Mr. Trump simply has no graceful way to recover from all of that.

It’s fair to note that the same fake news media outlets whose fake journalists are praising John McCain today are the very same fake news media outlets and fake journalists who bashed McCain and ridiculed him and his running mate Sarah Palin mercilessly throughout the 2008 presidential contest, after the Republican Party had made him its nominee for the office.  As with everything else it does, the fake news media’s relationship with McCain was entirely situational.

Much of that was due to “the Maverick’s” own behavior.  After his bitter defeat in the 2000 nominating contest at the hands of George W. Bush, McCain spent the next 8 years seeking out opportunities to go on MSNBC or CNN to bash the President of his own political party.  His appearances with Chris Matthews on MSNBC’s “Hardball” program became so frequent and confrontational towards Bush that Rush Limbaugh took to referring to McCain as the “Senator from the News Media,” which, of course loved the fact that a prominent Republican senator was helping them do their own dirty work towards a Republican president.

Thus, McCain had cultivated a fabulous relationship with the fake journalists, a relationship that lasted until about 30 seconds after he had secured the GOP’s nomination for the presidency.  Then, he became the enemy, someone to be targeted and destroyed so that the nation could elect the media’s chosen candidate, Barack Obama.  Sadly, McCain, perhaps shocked at the betrayal by so many he had undoubtedly thought would treat him fairly, ran a completely feckless and moribund campaign that ended up sentencing the nation to 8 years of socialist “progress.”

But the Senator from the News Media made a comeback during the Obama years.  His appearances with Matthews and on the Sunday morning talk shows were less frequent, but most often focused on issues on which he was in “Maverick” mode, opposing his own party and supporting Obama’s agenda. Though he did not vote for the Obamacare bill in 2010, he did achieve one final moment of fake news media glory – poking President Trump in the nose in the process – in 2017  by casting the deciding vote that has allowed the failed healthcare law to persist to this day.  Matthews no doubt felt a tingle run up his leg as McCain, with a sneer on his face, raised his thumb down to cast a “no” vote on the repeal bill.

When asked a few years back by a reporter about how he would like to be remembered, McCain said simply “that I served my country.”

John McCain was a very complicated man who had an extremely complicated relationship with the Republican Party, the conservative movement, several presidents and the news media, much of which created negative outcomes during his political career.  Not surprisingly, he leaves behind a very complicated legacy.

But he did serve his country and suffered greatly for that service, and for that service he deserves to be honored.

That is all.

The Democrat Meltdown Over the Supreme Court Vacancy Gets Off to a Rollicking Start

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this Winning yet? Part I – With Justice Anthony Kennedy announcing his long-anticipated retirement from Supreme Court on Wednesday, it was just like Election Night 2016 over at CNN.  Check out these looooooooonnnnnng faces:

Just charming, aren’t they?

Tired of all this Winning yet?  Part II – Oh, but it got even better over on Twitter (because liberal outrage and angst is always better on Twitter), with SJWs and snowflakes wailing out their innermost feelings in 280 characters or less.  Here are a couple of examples:

And this:

Yes, because this 81 year-old man had an obligation to keep working to make sure helpless snowflakes like Molly Knight wouldn’t have meltdowns on Twitter.  My goodness.

There were many  more examples of liberal depravity and dementia in the wake of Kennedy’s announcement, but they pretty much all involve the “F” word or explicit references to male and female body parts, so I won’t quote them here.

Note that Ms. Knight is already promising riots over this change in a single Supreme Court justice.  She was far from alone.  Former Democratic Rep. Donna Edwards (Md.) told the execrable Nicole Wallace on MSNBC that “It’s time for Democrats to throw down, and what I mean by that is we’ve been playing by the rule book, and Donald Trump and Republicans have been playing by street rules,” Edwards said. “We need to play by street rules.”

Oh, hey, everyone, what we’ve been seeing from the lunatic Democrats the last 20 months is them “playing by the rule book.”  Of course, Ms. Edwards left out that it’s the Saul Alinsky Rules for Radicals rulebook, but I’m sure she just ran out of time.

Then there’s Angela Rye, who is some sort of “analyst” for last-place CNN.  Her advice to Democrats went like this:  “They have to raise hell,” Rye said. “I said it kind of—whatever, but I mean, like, seriously. This is a decision that doesn’t just impact our lives next year or the next two years.”  Man, is that some serious analysis, or what?

Not to be outdone, alleged serial woman harasser Chris Matthews (how does this guy still have his job?) told his audience that the nomination fight over Kennedy’s vacant seat is a “time for vengeance” for Democrats. See?  This is the Democrats and their fake media guardians, playing by that “rule book.”

While the Democrats were actually relieved that Kennedy’s announcement now gives them an excuse to quit talking about the fake “don’t separate the families!” border issue that is killing them in the polls, the truth is that the politics of this situation are equally horrible for them, really as bad as they could possibly be.  Even though craven RINOs like Susan Collins and Jeff Flake are already scurrying out of the woodwork promising to use the nominating process to satisfy personal grudges with President Trump, the fact of the matter is that the Democrats don’t control a single lever of power in this process – they have no means whatsoever of stopping it.

For that, they have their own ex-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid to thank, because it was Reid who decided to go down the road of eliminating the filibuster rule on judicial nominations.  Too bad, so sad, as my kids used to say.

To make matters even worse, the Democrats in this mid-term election year have at minimum 8 incumbent senators from states won by Donald Trump in 2016 who are in serious jeopardy of losing their bids to retain their seats.  The vote on Kennedy’s replacement will in all likelihood come at some point in October, bare weeks before Election Day.

Think of the fix in which this places Democrat senators like North Dakota’s Heidi Heitkamp, Montana’s Jon Tester, Missouri’s Claire McCaskill, Florida’s Bill Nelson, and West Virginia’s Joe Manchin.  They and other vulnerable Dems are going to be placed under severe pressure by the Party’s far-left voter base and Majority Leader Chuck Schumer to march in lockstep (because marching in lockstep is what good little fascists are best at) with the rest of the Democrat senators in opposing any nominee.  But for many of these folks, doing that will be fatal, assuming President Trump puts forward another nominee of similar character and quality as Neil Gorsuch.

Trust me, Trump’s nominee has to be someone who is completely impeccable of character and whose record of public service is unassailable in any honest way.  The Democrats will go to extreme lengths to “Bork” him or her by portraying them as “too extreme” to assume a seat on the highest court.  Failing that, they will then subject the nominee to the Clarence Thomas strategy, so expect a parade of people coming forward to hurl false accusations of harassment or some other form of bad behavior in an effort to execute what then-nominee Thomas called “a high-tech lynching.”  Because this is what the Democrats and their media guardians do.

One thing we can all be absolutely certain of is this:  President Donald Trump (I never tire of typing those three words) will put forward a stellar, high-character, strict constructionist nominee to fill this vacancy.  He will do that because that is what he promised to do in his campaign, and this man, like no president before him, keeps his promises to the American people.

Just another day in Donald Trump keeping his promises to America.

That is all.

The Campaign Update Week In Review – Soooo Much Winning!

Here’s where we are in President Donald Trump’s Administration eight days before Christmas…

  • The economy is booming, with the New York branch of the Federal Reserve now estimating it will grow at the pace of 3.98% in the fourth quarter.  That would represent our third straight quarter above 3% economic growth, a feat not achieved in over a decade.
  • Unemployment is nearing a record low, asThirteen states this year have seen their unemployment rates drop to the lowest levels ever recorded since the federal government began keeping track of state-level data more than four decades ago.”
  • Regulations are vanishing at an amazing pace –  When he came into office in January, one of the first things President Trump did was issue an executive order mandating that, for every new regulation his agencies propose, they must eliminate at least two existing regulations.  The Trump Administration announced that it has in fact eliminated a staggering 22 existing regulations for each new proposal.  This rapid elimination of the Obama regulatory agenda is probably the main reason why the economy is booming today.
  • Obama holdovers are also vanishing at a rapid pace More than 700 employees have now left the EPA since President Trump took office.  Of course, as a friend pointed out Twitter, most of them will just go back to the radical leftwing anti-development groups they came from and continuing being a burden to society, but at least taxpayers won’t have to pay their ridiculous salaries anymore.
  • Meanwhile, at the Department of the Interior (DOI), Secretary Ryan Zinke announced this week that he had fired 4 senior DOI employees for charges of sexual harassmenet, and  said “I will remove 400 more if necessary.”  Cool.  Get after it, Mr. Secretary.
  • The Dow Jones Industrials closed at a record high on Friday, marking the 69th time that has happened since Donald Trump won the election over the Pantsuit Princes last November.  That is not a coincidence, either.
  • The largest tax cut in American history is on the verge of being passed – As mentioned in yesterday’s Campaign Update, the announcements by GOP Senators Marco Rubio and Bob Corker that they will support the bill would give Mitch McConnell the 51 votes he needs on Tuesday to send the bill to the President’s desk.
  • CNN, the king of the fake news universe, continues to suck wind behind Fox News and MSNBC in the cable news race.
  • The Federal Communications Commission rescinded the Obama Administration’s absurdly mis-named “Net Neutrality” rules.  These rules actually were designed to give favorable treatment to Obama-preferred Internet behemoths like Facebook, YouTube and Twitter, in that presidency’s fervent efforts to have the government picking winners and losers in every industry.  No more.
  • #MeToo meets “Hardball” – fake MSNBC host Chris Matthews found himself the latest NBC celebrity to be embroiled in the never-ending sexual abuse scandal on Saturday, when it was revealed that the network had paid out $40,000 to an accuser in 1999 and formally reprimanded him for his behavior.  Of course, like congress, the Peacock Network – which obviously has had a whole bunch of peacocks in rut running around its halls for many years – kept it all a secret until it had no choice.  With Matt Lauer, Mark Halperin and now Matthews all outed, The Campaign Update just can’t wait to find out what NBC has been keeping secret about its other hosts.
  • The Mueller-led attempted coup d’etat continues to unravel, and leftwingers are getting so desperate that they are now resorting to sending California Congresswoman Jackie Speer out to push fake “rumors” that the President is planning to fire Mueller before Christmas.   Hilariously, 70 year-old commie producer Rob Reiner and 80+ year-old washed up actor George Takkei both threatened to “take to the streets” should Trump fire the Witch-Hunter-in-Chief.  Now, that would be fun to watch.

Sadly, that won’t be happening, because Mueller won’t be going anywhere, at least not until the DOJ Inspector General issues his final report on wrongdoing within the DOJ and FBI in January.  Then, all bets will be off.

Just another week in Soooo Much Winning! America.

That is all.

Jeff Sessions Takes Corrupt, Clueless Democrats To School

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

  • Some observations from AG Jeff Sessions’ testimony before the Senate Intelligence (pardon the oxymoron) Committee on Tuesday:
    • Sessions’ tone was perfect, his righteous indignation completely appropriate under the circumstances, his defense of his honor compelling and believable.  All in all, a great decision by him to insist on public testimony when the committee Democrats wanted to question him out of the public eye.  Given their own performances, which ranged from disingenuous (Mark Warner), to imperiously strident (Kamala Harris), to buffoonish (Ron Wyden), it’s easy to see why they wanted to do this one in private.  Too bad.
    • If California Sen. Kamala Harris is, as many claim, the Democrat Party’s “rising star”, then the Democrats have no future.  She was out of her league, and transparently dishonest.  But hey, Democrats love voting for transparently dishonest candidates, which explains why she’s a Senator now.
    • A social media scandal broke out when Sen. Harris was shut down by the Chair because her time had run out as she was repeatedly interrupting AG Sessions in order to prevent him to give a full answer to a stupid question. Fake journalists and leftist trolls tisk-tisked all over Twitter about how Republicans just love to shut down women.  Trouble with that was that it was actually ranking Democrat Mark Warner who shut Ms. Harris down, as Chairman Richard Burr had temporarily left the room.  D’oh!
    • The fake reporters at the Huffington Post actually picked up on this little nuance, and ran a story on the incident bashing not “Republicans”, but “Men” instead. Well, you know, they had to bash somebody.  It’s what they do at the HuffPo.
    • Senator from the News Media John McCain was once again utterly incoherent in his questioning, causing AG Sessions to have to ask him to repeat questions several times because they were simply not understandably put.  Maybe he should start avoiding these things, and stick with softball interviews with Chris Matthews instead.  Either that, or get some new meds.
    • Tom Cotton of Arkansas was the star of the show, humiliating the Democrats by comparing their Russia collusion fantasy to the plot of a bad spy movie.  Well, ok, the Democrats weren’t really “humiliated”, since they are so uniformly lacking in any sense of self-awareness anymore that they are long beyond any ability to feel such embarrassment.
    • In an off-hand remark, AG Sessions let it be known that his office has already begun “multiple” investigations into illegal leaking of classified information.  That information no doubt had knees shaking among myriad Obama holdovers at the FBI and various intelligence agencies, not to mention the NSC and the White House.  It also left James Comey trying to decide which third party cutout to use to leak some more self-serving stuff to the New York Times.
    • BTW, it’s a bit off-subject, but has anyone else noticed that we still have not actually seen any of Comey’s mystery “contemporaneous memos”?  Just wondering.
    • At the end of the hearing, it is very telling that the Democrats are now so utterly lacking in any support for their “collusion” or “obstruction” fantasies that all they had left to complain about after the hearing was the fact that the U.S. Attorney General would not divulge details about conversations he has had with a sitting President of the United States, a longstanding Justice Department policy that was invoked dozens of times by both Loretta Lynch and Eric Holder without a peep of protest from a single Senate Democrat.
    • The Collusion fantasy is dead – even MSNBC’s fake host Chris Matthews understands that.  The Obstruction fantasy is on life support.  Expect to see the fake news media/Democrat Party axis of nitwittery coordinating on an entirely new fantasy scandal over the next week or two.  Because it’s all they have.
  • Tired of winning yet?:  Fake news personality Megyn Kelly is bombing in her new gig over at NBC.  Her first two episodes have lost miserably against re-runs of CBS’s “60 Minutes”, with her second week’s audience falling by 36% from her first one.  And now she’s in trouble for deciding to feature an interview with conspiracy theory-promoting talk radio host Alex Jones on her third episode.  My goodness, what’s going to happen in the Fall, when “60 Minutes” starts airing new stuff?  Couldn’t happen to a nicer person.  BTW, if Megyn Kelly was a man, her snarky fake journalist colleagues would be calling her an “empty suit,”, a term they normally reserve for Scott Pelley.  But it takes too long to call her an “empty sleeveless, low-cut, short-skirted ensemble by Gucci” instead.

Just another day in collapsing media/Democrat/Megyn Kelly fantasy America.

That is all.

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) – 4.5.2017

  • Speaking truth to nitwits.:  Italian designer Stefano Gabbana publicly thanked First Lady Melania Trump for wearing an outfit he designed in her new official portrait.  He also told social media trolls who pounded on him for working with Mrs. Trump to “go to hell.”  Cool.
  • Sorry folks, that cat don’t flush.:  20 Democratic members of the House signed a letter to Speaker Paul Ryan demanding that Rep. Devin Nunes be removed as the Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee.  Their letter contained the unintentionally hilarious line “this is about country, not party.”  For the record, it has been at least a quarter of a century since any Democrat member of either house of congress did anything for “country, not party.”
  • The last refuge of the flummoxed liberal.:  Out of any other means to defend the pathological liar Susan Rice in her growing “unmasking” scandal, MSNBC fake host Chris Matthews very predictably declared the entire episode to be both “racist” and “sexist.”  That will of course appeal greatly to all the social justice warriors out there, but hey, they were already going to ignore the elephant in the room in any event.  That’s what they do.  It will take a better set of talking points and distractions to convince anyone else the elephant is in fact not there.
  • By the way, if you are surprised that the major networks, CNN and MSNBC have not just ignored the growing avalanche of evidence that the Obama Administration was indeed illegally spying on and unmasking members of the Trump campaign and transition team for political purposes, but aggressively assaulted the story, remember this:  Those media outlets are all complicit in the crime.  They all shared the illegally leaked information.  They all actively covered up every major scandal of the Obama years.  They all actively refused to even vet Barack Hussein Obama when he was  a candidate in 2008.  They all parrotted the Obama Administration talking points every day for eight long years.  They all willingly gave up being anything resembling real “news” organizations in order to become a part of the Obama machine.  They cannot now recognize and report on the utter corruption that pervaded every corner of their hero’s regime, because to do so destroys their own credibility.  So they will stick with this sinking ship to the bitter end.  They have no choice.
  • Tired of winning yet?:  Department of Homeland Security officials revealed yesterday that illegal immigration across the nation’s southern border is down 67% for the first quarter of 2017 compared to 2016.  That’s without building a wall, without passing new laws, without a dollar of more budget money for the Border Patrol. That’s what happens when you elect a President who simply decides to enforce U.S. immigration laws.  This is not rocket science.
  • We’re all so devastated.:  Coordinating with the Clinton family, which has been embarked on a months-long effort to drum up a pretense to run their no-account daughter Chelsea for political office in 2018, fake journalist Gayle King took things a step farther than others before her.  She actually asked the dim-witted spawn of Hillary if she had any interest in running for the presidency in 2020.  And did it with a straight face!  To the huge disappointment of demented Clinton sycophants across the country, their new achievement-devoid hero demurred, saying “I clearly don’t agree with our president, but I’m definitely not the right person to run to defeat him in 2020. So right now, the answer is no.”  Oh, heck.  Oh, darn.

Just another day in Trump Derangement Syndrome, fake media America

That is all.
