Trump UN Speech Provides an Inspiring Example of American Leadership

The Evening Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

President Donald Trump was at the UN on Tuesday. There he delivered one of the most grand, soaring and inspirational speeches ever delivered by a U.S. president.  It will be largely ignored and/or mis-portrayed by our fake national news media who hate everything this President says or does, but it will not and cannot be ignored by the array of despotic, globalist thugs and grifters who by and large make up the UN general assembly.

The President drew a stark contrast between himself and his four immediate predecessors in the job, standing firmly up for the sovereign rights of America and its people and culture, while at the same time extending the hand of peace and cooperation on terms that, if accepted by the other nations in the room, would be mutually beneficial for everyone.  It was a magnificent moment of true American leadership that we could have never expected from Barack Obama or other globalist members of either major U.S. political party.

The full text of the speech can be found here, and I urge everyone to read it.  But I want to print the closing 500 words or so here, because they are especially inspiring and do a great job of summing up the major points the President was making today.

===========================

Looking around this hall where so much history has transpired, we think of the many before us who have come here to address the challenges of their nations and of their times. And our thoughts turn to the same question that ran through all their speeches and resolutions, through every word and every hope. It is the question of what kind of world will we leave for our children and what kind of nations they will inherit.

The dreams that fill this hall today are as diverse as the people who have stood at this podium, and as varied as the countries represented right here in this body are. It really is something. It really is great, great history.

There is India, a free society over a billion people, successfully lifting countless millions out of poverty and into the middle class.

There is Saudi Arabia, where King Salman and the Crown Prince are pursuing bold new reforms.

There is Israel, proudly celebrating its 70th anniversary as a thriving democracy in the Holy Land.

In Poland, a great people are standing up for their independence, their security, and their sovereignty.

Many countries are pursuing their own unique visions, building their own hopeful futures, and chasing their own wonderful dreams of destiny, of legacy, and of a home.

The whole world is richer, humanity is better, because of this beautiful constellation of nations, each very special, each very unique, and each shining brightly in its part of the world.

In each one, we see awesome promise of a people bound together by a shared past and working toward a common future.

As for Americans, we know what kind of future we want for ourselves. We know what kind of a nation America must always be.

In America, we believe in the majesty of freedom and the dignity of the individual. We believe in self-government and the rule of law. And we prize the culture that sustains our liberty -– a culture built on strong families, deep faith, and fierce independence. We celebrate our heroes, we treasure our traditions, and above all, we love our country.

Inside everyone in this great chamber today, and everyone listening all around the globe, there is the heart of a patriot that feels the same powerful love for your nation, the same intense loyalty to your homeland.

The passion that burns in the hearts of patriots and the souls of nations has inspired reform and revolution, sacrifice and selflessness, scientific breakthroughs, and magnificent works of art.

Our task is not to erase it, but to embrace it. To build with it. To draw on its ancient wisdom. And to find within it the will to make our nations greater, our regions safer, and the world better.

To unleash this incredible potential in our people, we must defend the foundations that make it all possible. Sovereign and independent nations are the only vehicle where freedom has ever survived, democracy has ever endured, or peace has ever prospered. And so we must protect our sovereignty and our cherished independence above all.

When we do, we will find new avenues for cooperation unfolding before us. We will find new passion for peacemaking rising within us. We will find new purpose, new resolve, and new spirit flourishing all around us, and making this a more beautiful world in which to live.

So together, let us choose a future of patriotism, prosperity, and pride. Let us choose peace and freedom over domination and defeat. And let us come here to this place to stand for our people and their nations, forever strong, forever sovereign, forever just, and forever thankful for the grace and the goodness and the glory of God.

Thank you. God bless you. And God bless the nations of the world.

================================

Magnificent.  Let it sink in, and then think of what kind of speech would have been delivered to the UN by a President Hillary Clinton.  Then, after you’ve done that, thank the good Lord for his divine providence of intervention into the 2016 presidential election, because that’s what it was.

That is all.

Michael Moore Floats the Dumbest Trump Conspiracy Theory Yet

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

OMG, Mike, that’s, like, ruuuuullllly, totally dumb and stuff. – Fake documentary film-maker Michael Moore is pushing the most absurd theory yet about the identity of the “anonymous” author who wrote the Trump-bashing op/ed the New York Times ran last week.  Moore contended on Saturday that the real author is…wait for it…oh, you gotta wait for this one…DONALD TRUMP!  I swear I don’t make this stuff up.

Yes, friends, this big fat tub of goo told an audience of creeps at some film festival that he doesn’t really “know” per se who the writer is, but “if you want me to make a wild guess, Trump wrote it or one of his minions wrote it…. He’s the master of distraction. He’s the King of the Misdirect. If we’ve ever known anything by now, it’s that he does things to get people to turn away and the line that is most identifiable in terms of what he wants the public to believe, the line that says, ‘don’t worry, adults are in the room.’ The idea is to get him to get us to calm down and look away from what he’s really doing.”

Of course, the reality is that President Trump pretty much begs Americans every day specifically to judge him on “what he’s really doing,” because what he’s really doing is pretty damn spectacular.  What he’s really doing is creating the first period of relative peace and massive prosperity that our country has enjoyed in the 21st centurty.

Here, for everyone’s edification, are just a few of the details:

  • In just 21 months in office, Donald Trump and his administration have pretty much erased the heinously un-American legacy of America’s Biggest Mistake, Barack Hussein Obama.  That’s why you see Mr. Obama out on the campaign trail right now, desperately trying to take credit for the massive economic boom that has resulted from Trump’s policies.
  • Where Obama and his evil minions worked overtime for 8 years to brainwash Americans into believing that as much as 3% economic growth was basically impossible, and that economic stagnation was the “new normal” (how many hundreds of times did we hear them say this?), Trump now has the economy humming along at over 4% growth.
  • America’s manufacturing sector, which lay dormant throughout the Obama presidency, has seen the creation of hundreds of thousands of new jobs thanks to Trump’s agenda.  The petrochemicals and plastics industry now has more than $200 billion in new capital investment in U.S. plant and equipment on its books alone.  Obama repeatedly told us that these were the “old” jobs that were “never coming back” to our country, yet here they are, knocking on our door, looking for qualified people to fill them..
  • In both June and August of this year, the United States of America surpassed Russia and Saudi Arabia to become the largest oil-producing nation on the face of the earth.
  • In New Mexico two weeks ago, the federal Bureau of Land Management conducted an oil and gas lease sale that netted almost $1 billion in lease bonuses alone, by far the biggest onshore lease sale in U.S. history.  These things happen because of policy, not by accident.
  • The U.S. rate of unemployment has hovered at near-record low levels for a year now.  The biggest problem the U.S. economy has under Donald J. Trump is that employers find it increasingly difficult to find enough people to fill their growing number of job openings.  Millions of workers who had been so discouraged during the Obama years that they simply quit looking for work are now pouring back into the work force in Donald Trump’s economy.
  • Unemployment rates for Hispanics, African Americans and women are at all-time lows and getting lower.  The jobs situation is so fantastic, in fact, that even Colin Kaepernick has been able to find gainful employment.  Obama did not do that.
  • Around the globe, America’s foreign policy has created a period of relative peace thanks in very large part to the Trump Administration’s consistent and firm projection of U.S. power.  The Crazy Little Fat Guy in North Korea is no longer lobbing ICBMs over Japan out into the Pacific Ocean.  The despotic Mullahs in Iran now find themselves increasingly isolated, unable to export their crude oil, and facing growing unrest from the general population.  The terrorist Palestinian leadership also finds itself increasingly isolated and having its Obama-era funding cut off by this Administration.
  • The previously deadbeat European NATO members are suddenly paying their bills, resulting in a massive infusion of new money into that organization and rendering Vladimir Putin less interested in projecting Russian military power outside its own borders.

Obama, in one of his delusional rants this past week, actually said this:

“We spent eight years pushing that (economic) boulder up the hill, we finally get to the top, it starts rolling down the hill and then these folks come in and say look at what we’re doing. They’re standing there, didn’t even break a sweat.”

Of course, what actually happened for 8 long years was that Obama had his regulators formed up in a defensive line about halfway up that hill, ensuring that the U.S. economy – the most incredible job- and prosperity-generating machine ever devised by mankind – was never able to break out into a true economic recovery during his reign.

What Trump has basically done is come in and decimate that regulatory defensive line.  So yeah, the Trump people actually have barely broken a sweat, because all they really had to do was rid our nation of Obama’s heinous legacy.

So the thought that President Trump would actually want to write the piece that appeared in the New York Times, a piece that asks people to focus not on his policy accomplishments but on his personality, is utterly absurd.  Because anyone who focuses on his policy accomplishments must conclude that he has so far been far and away the single most successful U.S. President in modern times, and perhaps ever.

Just another day in Michael Moore is a hopeless buffoon America.

That is all.

Today’s Campaign Update – The Week in Review

Today’s Campaign Update – The Week in Review

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

This week, we introduce a new feature at the Campaign Update – The Week in Review.

Ok, actually we introduced this last Friday evening, but failed to take the time and space to point it out.  We’re going to plan to post one of these every Saturday afternoon at least through the end of this year’s mid-term election campaign, at which point the plan is to assess their utility (and readership level) and decide whether they should be continued.

In putting these Campaign Updates together every morning, it often becomes impossible to adequately capture all the big things that are taking place related to our national politics.  Every day has multiple news cycles, as the leftwingers in our fake news media and the Democrat Party become increasingly panicked about their prayed-for “Blue Wave” failing to materialize and the growing reality that Robert Mueller is systematically taking the steps necessary to wind down his fruitless “investigation.”

We can only expect the pace of fakenewsery to speed up even more during the 8 weeks remaining until Election Day, meaning that, in order to keep everyone updated on the campaign, the Campaign Update must work a little overtime.

The plan here is to summarize the week’s major events in bullet point format, heaping as many insults and pithy comments upon all the snowflakes, SJWs, fake newsers and other creatures on the political left as we can think to include.  Links to relevant stories will, as always, be included where relevant and useful.

So here we go with the Campaign Update Week in Review, Episode 2.

This was the week that all the following happened:

  • Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, a shameless SJW himself, admitted that his “conservative employees “don’t feel safe to express their opinions” while in the Twitter corporate workplace.  Man, what do you think tipped him off?
  • Meanwhile, over at Google, tapes of a leadership team meeting that took place shortly after the 2016 election revealed that, contrary to their pious claims of impartiality, the social media behemoth does indeed do everything it can to distort its search results in favor of liberals.  Very predictably, none of the TV networks, nor CNN or the NYTimes or Washington Post devoted any time or space to covering this major story.  Go figure.
  • The Washington Post told us that President Donald Trump is “complicit” in the creation of Hurricane Florence because he doesn’t spout the dogma of the religion of Climate Change, but oddly gave him no credit at all for the hurricane’s being downgraded from a Cat 4 storm to a Cat 1 as it approached the Eastern Seaboard.  Odd.
  • The fake news media’s coverage of the leadup to and destruction caused by Florence was every bit as fake as one would have expected, as the fake journalists did everything they could think of to use the storm to try to damage President Trump and any other random Republican who got in the way.  So tiresome.
  • We learned that RINO Senator Ben Sasse “thinks about leaving the Republican Party” every morning.  So go already.
  • President Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was restored over last weekend, and has, as of this writing, remained unmolested by enraged social justice warriors a full week later.  Amazing.
  • Speaking of stories the mainstream fake news media couldn’t be bothered to spend a second reporting, a Republican candidate for congress out in California was stabbed by a lunatic supporter of his Democrat rival, incumbent congressman Eric Swalwell, who I remain convinced played Otter in the 1978 film “Animal House.”  When Swalwell was interviewed on CNN the very next day, he was not asked a single question about the stabbing by the fake news hack doing the interview.  *sigh*
  • Les Moonves got his sorry butt “MeToo’d” out of his job as CEO of CBS.  The management at CBS was so angry at all the bad PR Moonves brought the organization that they sent him packing with a severance deal totaling only about $100 million.  Not kidding.
  • San Fran Nan said she agrees that, where the Democrats are concerned, “it’s time for new blood and we should move on.”  That’s the good part.  But in her next breath, she promised to continuing clinging to power so long as Donald Trump is President: “to have no woman at the table and to have the Affordable Care Act at risk, I said, ‘As long as he’s here, I’m here.”  Oh, goody.
  • Paul Manafort “flipped” in order to get a plea deal from Bob Mueller, but it’s an open question whether his flipping is any sort of bad news for President Trump or just for Tony Podesta, with whom Manafort partnered to lobby for some Ukrainian clients during the Obama Administration.  Given that all the charges that Mueller had brought against Manafort were from that long ago period of time, the latter seems most likely.
  • Political fabulist Bob Woodward’s new book trashing President Trump immediately topped all the best-seller lists, but it turned out that possibly the most damaging allegation in it relates not to the President, but to Obama’s CIA Director, the execrable John Brennan.  Oh, my.
  • Corrupt New York Mayor Andrew Cuomo sent the eternally irritating Marxist Cynthia Nixon packing, and nobody really cared.
  • The New York Times tried to smear Nikki Haley and it backfired immensely, proving that sometimes justice still does prevail in this country.
  • Late in the week, despicable California Senator Dianne Feinstein pulled a last minute stunt to try to derail the Supreme Court nomination of Brett Kavanaugh, but when even the fakenewsers at the Washington Post were ridiculing the highly-predictable tactic, it quickly became obvious that it won’t work.

With the final Senate floor vote not scheduled to take place until September 29, though, no one should blithely assume that Feinstein and her fellow depraved Democrats are finished trying to slander the nominee.  They probably have several more arrows in that Luciferian quiver they drag around with them.

Stay tuned.

That is all.

Obama’s Back! Republicans Should be Celebrating.

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

To all Republicans:  Celebrate!  Barack Obama has returned! – The return of The One to the national stage on Friday had liberal nitwits all over the country shivering with goosebumps.  Just the sound of Barack Obama’s droning voice reading his prepared script – written by a team of other people – from his ever-present TelePrompter always sends the lefties among us into orgasmic social media frenzies.

But the truth is that the Return of The One should have all Republicans celebrating in the streets this morning, and all the Democrat candidates on whose behalf Mr. Obama plans to campaign quaking in their Birkenstocks.  Why?  Let’s do a little stream of consciousness review:

When Obama took office thanks to our national bout with insanity at the voting booths in 2008, the Democrat Party was the clear, unchallenged, national majority party.  The Democrats held the majority of governorships, the majority of state legislative chambers, super-majorities in both houses of congress, the presidency, and, whenever Anthony Kennedy forgot to take his meds, a frequent 5-4 majority on the Supreme Court.

Eight years later, when Donald Trump was sworn in on January 20, 2017, the Democrat Party had, thanks to 8 years of Obama and his un-American policies, shrunk to a small, marginalized regional party concentrated on the East and West coasts, and in a few big cities out here in Flyover Country.  It held just 1/3rd of governorships, 1/3rd of state legislative chambers, and no levers of federal power at all.

While he was President, Barack Obama campaigned tirelessly on behalf of his fellow Democrats who were running for congress.  The vast majority of those candidates lost.  Obama’s record for helping get his fellow Democrats elected is roughly the same as Bill Clinton’s – dismal.  This is mainly because Obama, like Clinton, is a pure narcissistic sociopath who cannot help making every speech he gives about him – not the guy or gal he’s campaigning for.

On Friday, Obama gave a 64 minute speech during which he referred to his own self 102 times.  For those who are bad with numbers, that is ONE HUNDRED AND TWO TIMES this man made the speech about himself.  A little simple division shows that that comes out to roughly 1.6 times per minute.

So, hey, he’s cutting wayyyyy back.  Ok, just kidding.

The fake news media is telling us this morning that Obama’s speech was about Donald Trump, but this is nonsense.  The speech was about Obama, because Obama is Obama’s favorite subject.

Some other quick thoughts about the speech:

Barack Obama 2009-2016: Ran an administration that worked feverishly – that is no exaggeration – to regulate this economy into submission.

Barack Obama, now that Trump has created a huge economic boom by rolling back his regulations: “I did that!”

==================================

Barack Obama on his economy’s chronic 1-2% growth rate from 2010-2016: “This is the new normal. You can’t just wave a magic wand and get to 3%.”

Barack Obama on Trump’s 4.2% growth: “I did that!”

==================================

Barack Obama to Mitt Romney on Russia in 2012: “The ’80s want their foreign policy back.”

Barack Obama on Russia now: “The Trump administration doesn’t take Russia seriously!”

==================================

This could go on and on, but this guy is so damn tiresome I just can’t make myself do it.

Republicans should be thrilled to death Obama is back in the public eye.  His return comes just in time to kill any semblance of a chance that the Democrats might win back a majority in the House of Representatives.  The last thing the Democrat Party needed to do right now is remind all those blue collar workers in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Ohio what their party saddled them with for 8 long years.

The timing is perfect.  Welcome back, Barack!

That is all.

The McCain Funeral: A Fitting Requiem for the Deep State

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Our long national nightmare is finally over. – Senator John McCain, who died on Saturday, August 25, was finally laid to rest on Sunday, September 2, after eight interminable days of honoring, memorializing and rank demagoguery, all of which the amazingly egotistical Senator planned for himself.  And so, the nation can heave a huge, collective sigh of relief.

I’ll get criticized for that opening paragraph, but I want those of you coming to bash me to remember that in 1963, our country suffered the assassination of a President.  That killing took place on Friday, November 22.  Following a hasty and ill-performed autopsy, the slain President’s body lay in state in the East Room of the White House throughout the day on November 23.  The body was carried by horse-drawn caisson up Pennsylvania Avenue early on the morning of November 24, where it lay in state throughout that day.

And on Monday, November 25, the body of John Fitzgerald Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States of America, was buried.  From beginning to end, the process took just three days, but then, Mr. Kennedy did not have the opportunity to do his own planning, given that he was taken down by the bullets of at least one assassin.

What we just went through as a nation over the past 8 days was unwarranted and unseemly, and everyone involved in making it happen should be embarrassed.  RIP, Senator McCain, at long last.

If you must continue mourning, here’s a new object of your desires. – The 200 year-old national museum of Brazil in Rio de Janeiro suffered a massive fire overnight, destroying most if not all of the 20 million precious historic items in its collection.  Items thought to be destroyed include the oldest human fossil found in Brazil, a fresco that survived the destruction of Pompeii, and a collection of Egyptian artifacts.  A real tragedy of epic proportions for history and the human race.

A fitting requiem for the Deep State. – Back to the McCain funeral one last time before I let the subject go forever.

Despite the unseemly nature of the “service” on Saturday, with two different former presidents and the daughter of the deceased using their time to bash the sitting President rather than memorialized the dead Senator, it occurs to me that it served as the perfect requiem for the Deep State establishment that is currently being dismantled and de-powered by President Trump.

There you had assembled in one place the three previous presidents who, along with elderly ex-President George H.W. Bush, had spent the 28 years prior to Trump’s inauguration “globalizing” America, marginalizing America’s blue-collar workers and de-emphasizing American greatness, all honoring a Senator who had played a leading role in carrying their water for more than 30 years.  You also had all the glitterati of the fake news media which has spent those same years brainwashing the American public to just lie back and take the policy-based pillaging of the U.S. economy and mortgaging of our childrens’ and grandchildrens’ future once again brainwashing you to disregard the realities of John McCain’s life and career.

At the same time, the President who is working to reverse the corrupt and destructive anti-American legacy of the previous 28 years was out playing golf because he had been dis-invited from the service by McCain and the McCain family.  Again, a perfect gesture of contempt on behalf of the Deep State.  The symbolism of the day was perfect:  The three ex-presidents looking old, tired and lacking in energy, their legislative bell cow lying in a coffin, the fake news media collectively spinning yet another tired narrative, with the one guy standing athwart them all out getting his exercise, preparing for another week of dismantling the Deep State they all worked so hard to institutionalize.

Meanwhile, the Democrat Party is radicalizing to the far, far left, and the Republican Party is systematically getting rid of its establishment wing through primary elections and retirements. The Deep State GOP/Democrat “uniparty” that McCain, Bush, Obama and Clinton worked so hard to construct over the last three decades is already greatly diminished, and stands in danger of going away entirely should Trump succeed in getting re-elected in 2020.

With our economy booming, Black and Hispanic unemployment at all-time record low levels, and tens of thousands of blue-collar and union jobs returning to America, the party coalitions of the past are being re-drawn in ways that will render the two Parties more readily distinguishable from one another.  While this process will be difficult and fraught with peril, it will over the next few years produce a result that is far better for the country.

Most people thought this weekend was about a funeral for a senator, but it was about so much more than that if you were paying attention.  The people at that service were mourning much more than the loss of just one man.

Just another day in the Deep State is dying America.

That is all.

John McCain’s Legacy: It’s Complicated

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Senator John McCain died on Saturday.  Whatever one thinks of his political career, his early service to the nation and the years of torture he endured and triumphed over as a result of it deserve to be remembered and honored.

May he Rest in Peace.

A complicated man with a complicated legacy. – We now, of course, will be treated to a week of our fake news media using the death of Mr. McCain as a tool with which to bash President Trump – whose relationship with McCain was extremely rocky – and support the Democrat narrative.  Because that’s what our fake news media does.

It started even before McCain passed, with the fake journalists at the Washington Post running a story bashing the President for not making a statement on McCain’s halting all medical treatment, even though McCain had repeatedly made it publicly clear he did not want any such statement from Mr. Trump, or for Trump to attend his funeral.  McCain’s wife and daughter had also repeated the senator’s feelings on the subject – thus, Trump was simply acceding to the family’s wishes.

The President did issue a statement expressing sympathy for the family via his Twitter feed:

Naturally, he was bashed by much of the fake news media even for that statement, with most fake journalists who hate every Republican – including McCain – pretending to take offense that it does not contain praise for the late Senator.

The reality is that the President can’t win in this situation, regardless of what he says or does.  Were he to issue a statement lavishing praise on McCain, the fake news media and Democrats would bash him for being hypocritical, given his frequent verbal battles with the Senator.  Were he to express his true feelings about the man, he’d be appropriately bashed for that, given the timing.  Were he to have remained silent, well, he was already being bashed for that within seconds of McCain’s passing.

Again, most of this situation is of the President’s own making.  His gratuitous taunts at McCain and his military service during the 2016 campaign were childish, inadvisable, reflected poorly on his own character, and set McCain up as the sympathetic figure in their relationship.  Mr. Trump simply has no graceful way to recover from all of that.

It’s fair to note that the same fake news media outlets whose fake journalists are praising John McCain today are the very same fake news media outlets and fake journalists who bashed McCain and ridiculed him and his running mate Sarah Palin mercilessly throughout the 2008 presidential contest, after the Republican Party had made him its nominee for the office.  As with everything else it does, the fake news media’s relationship with McCain was entirely situational.

Much of that was due to “the Maverick’s” own behavior.  After his bitter defeat in the 2000 nominating contest at the hands of George W. Bush, McCain spent the next 8 years seeking out opportunities to go on MSNBC or CNN to bash the President of his own political party.  His appearances with Chris Matthews on MSNBC’s “Hardball” program became so frequent and confrontational towards Bush that Rush Limbaugh took to referring to McCain as the “Senator from the News Media,” which, of course loved the fact that a prominent Republican senator was helping them do their own dirty work towards a Republican president.

Thus, McCain had cultivated a fabulous relationship with the fake journalists, a relationship that lasted until about 30 seconds after he had secured the GOP’s nomination for the presidency.  Then, he became the enemy, someone to be targeted and destroyed so that the nation could elect the media’s chosen candidate, Barack Obama.  Sadly, McCain, perhaps shocked at the betrayal by so many he had undoubtedly thought would treat him fairly, ran a completely feckless and moribund campaign that ended up sentencing the nation to 8 years of socialist “progress.”

But the Senator from the News Media made a comeback during the Obama years.  His appearances with Matthews and on the Sunday morning talk shows were less frequent, but most often focused on issues on which he was in “Maverick” mode, opposing his own party and supporting Obama’s agenda. Though he did not vote for the Obamacare bill in 2010, he did achieve one final moment of fake news media glory – poking President Trump in the nose in the process – in 2017  by casting the deciding vote that has allowed the failed healthcare law to persist to this day.  Matthews no doubt felt a tingle run up his leg as McCain, with a sneer on his face, raised his thumb down to cast a “no” vote on the repeal bill.

When asked a few years back by a reporter about how he would like to be remembered, McCain said simply “that I served my country.”

John McCain was a very complicated man who had an extremely complicated relationship with the Republican Party, the conservative movement, several presidents and the news media, much of which created negative outcomes during his political career.  Not surprisingly, he leaves behind a very complicated legacy.

But he did serve his country and suffered greatly for that service, and for that service he deserves to be honored.

That is all.

Clapper Initiates Operation CYA at a Surprising Target

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

For those who missed it – I compiled one of my rare Evening Campaign Updates last night, and it’s worth checking out.

It’s still the 9th Circuit, folks, and it always will be. – Twitter and cable news came all abuzz Tuesday afternoon when reports began circulating that the notoriously anti-constitutional 9th Circuit Court of Appeals had issued a decision overruling a California ban on certain rifle magazines.  Conservatives were all over Twitter and Facebook proclaiming a major victory, and that the 9th Circuit had finally seen the light!

Well, no, not exactly.  This decision was issued by a 3-judge panel subset of the Circuit Court’s huge membership, and California now has the right – which it will certainly exercise – to request the case to be heard en banc, i.e., by the Court’s full leftist-friendly membership.  The judges for these 3-judge panels are picked at random, and this particular panel just happened to draw 2 of the rare 9th Circuit judges who have actually read the 2nd Amendment.

So this decision will be reversed soon, and the 9th Circuit will regain its shoddy reputation after experiencing a rare moment of constitutional clarity.  Too bad.

Fake Indian Senator want heap big wampum. – In case anyone still maintained illusions otherwise, lifelong fraud Senator Elizabeth Warren made her and her fellow Democrats’ money-grabbing intentions crystal clear in a CNBC interview yesterday.  She told the preening fake host John Harwood that Democrats intend to immediately reverse the Trump tax cuts if they gain congressional majorities this November, and suggested the top marginal income tax rate should be raised to “well above 50%.”

Hey, maybe that’s why the very wealthy (how did he become that way on a government salary?) ex-FBI Director and Current Teenage Drama Queen James Comey is having second thoughts about encouraging everyone to vote Democrat this fall.  Go figure.

California values in action! – The Democrat-dominated California state government recently de-criminalized the act of intentionally giving another person AIDS, but the City of Santa Barbara just passed an ordinance mandating jail time for any food service employee caught in the heinous act of….wait for it….oh, you gotta wait for this one…PASSING OUT PLASTIC STRAWS TO CUSTOMERS!  I swear I do not make this stuff up.

The amiable dunce issues a subtle warning. – This is one I forgot to include in yesterday’s Evening Campaign Update, in which I laid out some of the ways in which it feels like the tide is finally turning on the whole Democrat/Media invented Russia Collusion fantasy play.  My bad.

Former Obama Administration Director of National Intelligence James Clapper seems for all appearances like sort of an amiable dunce.  His interviews on TV and dishonest congressional testimonies are often amusing to watch as he fumbles around for words and contorts his very malleable face into all sorts of odd configurations as he seemingly searches for exactly the right way to mislead.

But Clapper is a spy, a longtime intelligence operative, and as such it is important to remember that a lot of that fumbling around and contorting is done for effect.  This is a very clever man who knows how to subtly – or not so subtly – engage in a CYA operation on national television.

Well, ok, it was on CNN, which counts as “national television” these days only in the sense that it seems to be on the public TVs in every airport in America 24 hours a day, but still.  In an interview Monday evening with the terminally boring and petulant Anderson Cooper, Clapper, seeing the walls beginning to close in around him with the release of the documentation for the fraudulent FISA warrants, apparently decided it was time for Operation CYA to engage in earnest.

And engage he did, in the process tossing a very recognizable individual under the proverbial bus:

“If it weren’t for President Obama we might not have done the intelligence community assessment that we did that set up a whole sequence of events which are still unfolding today, notably Special Counsel Mueller’s investigation. President Obama is responsible for that. It was he who tasked us to do that intelligence community assessment in the first place.”

Man, this guy doesn’t fool around.  Other, less bold people in his circumstances might have tried sloughing responsibility off onto, say, ex-CIA Director John Brennan or the aforementioned Teen Drama Queen, but not Clapper – Clapper goes right to the main guy, the Capo de Tutti Capi, the Big Kahuna, Barack “The One” Hussein Obama his own self.

In doing so, Clapper perhaps appropriately assumes the posture taken by all those Nazi Generals back in 1945 who told their captors “hey, we were just following orders.”

I’m not sure it’s going to work, but you almost have to admire the chutzpah.

Just another day in the truth will all come out in the end America.

That is all.

Wait, Comey, Clapper and Brennan Still Have Security Clearances?

Today’s Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

Yeah, “judgment free” this, buddy. – A man was arrested at a Planet Fitness on Monday when other customers complained that he was working out in the nude, seldom a good idea at a public facility.  When the cops came to run him off to the local pokey, he told them that he thought he was in a “judgment free” zone.  So, obviously a Democrat.  I swear I don’t make this stuff up.  Who could?

You’re really not very good at this whole Twitter thing, Jim. – Ex-FBI Director and current Teenage Drama Queen James Comey issued the following tweet on Monday:

For the record, this goofy tweet comes less than two days after President Trump, in a nationally-televised interview, criticized Putin about all sorts of things and said if Putin continues meddling in U.S. elections he would become the Russian President’s “worst enemy.”  That interview came just days after several other nationally televised interviews in which President Trump repeatedly criticized Putin.  Those interviews come weeks and months after President Trump implemented a long series of the toughest sanctions the U.S. has targeted against Russia in decades, far tougher than anything Barack Obama ever dreamed of doing.

Mr. Comey should really take a different direction with his shameless attention-seeking exercises.  This whole Twitter thing is obviously not among his core competencies.

Speaking of ex-Obama officials shamelessly seeking attention for profit, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders informed the collection of creeps and derelicts we call the White House press corps that President Trump is, at the urging of Senator Rand Paul, looking into the revocation of the security clearances for Comey, John Brennan, James Clapper, Michael Hayden, Susan Rice and Andrew McCabe.  Sanders cited concerns that these sleazeballs were monetizing their security access and improperly sharing classified information with the media, which is undeniably true of all of them.

One reporter told his Twitter followers that there was an audible gasp from the fake reporters in the briefing room when Sanders made her announcement.  Yes, one can only imagine the level of panic that immediately began to set in among this group of lazy, shiftless gas bags who have spent the last two years just cutting and pasting whatever this collection of Obama loyalist seditionists have fed them into their rote articles.  Now suddenly, they face the prospect of having to actually engage in real journalistic pursuits for their information, rather than just being sock puppets.  Life is hard, folks.

Some of the reactions were truly priceless.   James Clapper told an interviewer on CNN, where he monetizes his security clearance 7 days a week, that “I don’t know what to say,” he added. “I think this is just a very, very petty — a petty thing to do. And that’s about all I’ll say about it.”  Yes, petty, sort of like if he went on MSNBC or CNN and trashed your reputation on live television 5 times a week, huh?

Jennifer Rubin, a pathetic hack who serves as one of the Washington Post’s kennel of fake “conservative” writers, said this in a tweet:

So, this nitwit is so unalterably vacuous that she actually believes that there is some sort of constitutional right for a person to maintain a national security clearance.  Ok, where do I go to get mine?  Holy cow.

Interestingly, Brennan, who has been so hyper-vocal and outrageously over-the-top in his criticisms of President Trump – even to the point of accusing him of committing treason in his meeting with Vladimir Putin last week – has so far remained silent on the matter.  In fact, that July 16 tweet accusing a sitting U.S. President of treasonous acts is the last tweet this particular seditionist has issued.  Since then, it’s been radio silence on the Brennan Twitter account.  We also haven’t seen him raise his ugly mug on television since that outburst.  Maybe someone convinced him to get back on his meds.

Back to the question at hand, what possible legitimate purpose does it serve for any of these people to still have security clearances to begin with? It’s unimaginable that this step has not already been taken, given the unending efforts by this pack of disloyal seditionists to bring down the Trump presidency.

Some buffoon talking heads are arguing that it’s important for high-ranking ex-intelligence officials to retain their security clearances in case the current administration needs their advice.  Wait, what?  Are we really to think that President Trump is going to call Brennan or Comey up in the midst of some international crisis and ask for their advice?  Clapper?  The insipid Susan Rice?   These people have literally nothing useful to offer this administration.

The only advice Susan Rice could offer anyone is how to bald-face lie about an international incident on five news shows on the same Sunday morning.  Please.  Plus, Clapper, Comey and Brennan have all blatantly perjured themselves in congressional testimony in their ongoing efforts to harm the current administration – that’s just a matter of clear public record at this point.

There’s an old lawyer joke that goes something like this:

What do you call 20 lawyers with cement blocks chained to their ankles at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean?

Answer:  A good start.

Same answer here.  Do it, Mr. President.  Just do it.  And please, add Peter Strzok to the list.

Just another day in how does John Brennan still have a security clearance America.

That is all.

Today Was a Breathtaking Display of the Democrats’ and Media’s Rank Hypocrisy

The Evening Campaign Update

(Because The Campaign Never Ends)

In 2003, after it had become apparent that the U.S. and allied forces who had invaded Iraq to remove Saddam Hussein were not going to find the vaunted weapons of mass destruction that served as the pretense for justifying the invasion, the fake U.S. and international news media, in coordination with the Democrat Party, demonized the U.S. intelligence community for its apparent failure to properly assess the threat.  The employees and leaders of the CIA, DIA, FBI, NSA and all the myriad other alphabet agencies that make up the U.S. intel apparatus were called incompetent, deceptive, even traitors by the fake media/Democrat propaganda complex for leading our country into an unjustified war.

Of course, no apologies were forthcoming when it later became obvious that Saddam had indeed had a stockpile of WMDs that he spirited off to Syria in advance of the allied invasion.  The left never apologizes for anything since no one in the fake news media ever demands it of them.

Those of us who defended the intel community at the time were also called all sorts of names, including but not limited to “traitors”, by these same Democrats and their media agents.  Fifteen years later, many of us are old enough to still remember all of that.

So it was a bit of a marvel today to see the fake news media/Democrat propaganda complex – including many of the same players from 2003 – demonize not the U.S. intel community, but President Donald Trump and his supporters after Trump criticized those myriad alphabet agencies during his press conference with Vladimir Putin.  In 2003, we were all traitors if we didn’t condemn the U.S. intel community, and today we’re all traitors if we do criticize them.

And this is all about Russia.  Many of us are also old enough to remember way back in 2012, when Barack Obama snarkily told Mitt Romney during a debate that “The 1980s called and they want their foreign policy back.”  That was Obama’s response to Romney’s contention that Russia constituted one of America’s foremost foreign adversaries.

Wait, isn’t that what the Democrats are all screaming today?  I know, right?

Yes, it is, but this was in 2012, barely a year after Obama, Hillary, Comey and Mueller had all participated in the selling of 20% of America’s uranium reserves to a Russian company that was just a front for Vladimir Putin, so the Democrats in those days felt the need to pretend we have no issues with Russia.  Six years later, they know that Putin knows everything about what happened back then and during the 2016 elections, and now feel desperate to de-legitimize him in the public’s mind in case he starts talking.

So now Putin and Russia are almost our awfulest, worstest enemies in the current media/Democrat talking point manual, just below President Trump, who is in fact our premier awfulest, worstest enemy.  Because President Trump also knows everything about what happened back then and during the 2016 elections, and well, he’s the President of the United States and will presumably at some point demand that Jeff Sessions and the Justice Department do something about it.  Make sense?

So, when President Trump said in the press conference that Putin made a “forceful” denial of Russian intervention in those 2016 elections, that is suddenly the worst thing that’s ever, ever, ever happened in all of American history going back to Columbus.

But hey, it was no big deal at all when Barack Obama, after meeting with Putin in 2016 and raising the subject of meddling with him, said of Putin’s denials that “He denies it. So the idea that somehow public shaming is gonna be effective, I think doesn’t read the thought process in Russia very well.”  Because back in 2016, all the fake reporters and Democrats assumed Hillary Clinton was going to win the election and whatever really did take place would just all be swept under the rug anyway.

But now it’s 2018 and Vladimir Putin knows everything that happened and Donald Trump knows everything that happened, and the fake reporters who helped facilitate it all and the Democrats who participated in it all are utterly, completely panicked and lashing out like never before.

And so you get tweets like this from Obama CIA Director and longtime communist voter John Brennan:

And this, from former Clinton advisor Peter Dau:

And this from supposedly bed-ridden John McCain, who was complicit in promoting the fake Trump Dossier during the 2016 campaign:

That statement, by the way, is at least 300 words long and was released within an hour after the end of the press conference.  Seems like a man with the energy to fully analyze an hour log press conference and whip out a 300-word statement in real time like that might also have the energy to travel to Washington and do his job.  But I digress.

At any rate, as so often happens, President Trump issued a tweet on this very subject as I was typing this piece.  Here it is:

But as I pointed out this morning, the fake news media, the Democrats and war mongers like Sen. McCain cannot have this “get along” nonsense happen – they all make their livings and control their power through the perpetuation of conflict and civil strife and violence.

Donald Trump is a 72 year-old multi-billionaire who decided to give up his retirement years in order to try to make life better for Americans.  Sometimes, it’s hard to imagine why he bothers.

Just another day in Donald Trump is doing his job for America.

That is all.
