John Lewis got a Political Rally; Herman Cain Will get a Funeral

The Swamp holds a political rally, er, ‘funeral’ for John Lewis. – Now, you can’t go to church with more than 10 of your fellow Americans, but those who infest the DC Swamp can fill a church, ignore social distancing, and hold a political rally for a dead corrupt congressman who in his youth was a genuine champion of civil rights.

Barack Hussein Obama His Own Self was there, preaching about the glories of mail-in ballots and the evils of having to have an ID when you go vote. San Fran Nan was there, half in the tank as always. Slick Willie was there, his visage increasingly that of a wraith from a horror film, which is the only way one would expect a long-time running buddy of Jeffrey Epstein to age. Hell, they even rolled out George W. Bush, who likely knew Mr. Lewis about as well as he knew me.

Because this funeral wasn’t a funeral at all: Like the “funerals” for John McCain and Aretha Franklin and George Floyd before it, this was just another chance to brainwash the public and take shots at the Bad Orange Man who isn’t part of their club. That’s all it was: a gaudy and disgusting spectacle that has become sadly typical of the Swamp in general and Democrats in particular.

See, they can all do this thing that you can’t because they’re your betters. Just like Dr. Fauci can go to a baseball game and yuck it up in the stands while he ignores his own dictates that have become such an oppressive part of your lives. They’re the elite; the segment of our society that gets to ignore all of the stuff they tell you you must do or be tossed in jail.

If you don’t believe me, just watch and learn. Herman Cain, a hero for conservatives everywhere and a truly great American, died yesterday. Let’s watch and see if he gets a nationally-televised funeral in a church filled with Swamplings. Let’s watch and see if he gets a send-off in a church filled with people, period.

What Cain has received already instead is derision from the corrupt news media. Pretty much every outlet knee-jerked to the narrative that “Cain, who refused to wear a mask, died after he was diagnosed with COVID-19 just 9 days after attending a rally for President Trump in Tulsa.” To the Associated Press, the New York Times, Politico, CNN, MSNBC and all of the TV networks, that is apparently the story of Herman Cain’s life in its entirety.

For those unaware, Herman Cain was born in 1945 in Atlanta, the son of a father who worked variously as a barber, a chauffeur and a janitor and a mother who worked as a maid. Hard working, great Americans. Cain himself followed his parents’ example to become a hard-working, great American in his own right.

After putting himself through college and receiving a degree in mathematics from Morehouse College, Cain served his country as a civilian systems analyst for the Department of the Navy. He then moved into the business world, where he rose to national prominence, ultimately becoming the CEO of Godfather’s Pizza and the Chairman of the National Restaurant Association.

He ran for the GOP presidential nomination in 2012, a nomination that ultimately went to the Swampling RINO Mitt Romney, with disastrous results. Cain was running a strong race until it was revealed he had had an extra-marital affair, something that would have been a badge of honor for any Democrat, but which gave the corrupt media an excuse to hound him out of the race.

There will be no nationally-televised funeral for Mr. Cain. His body will not lie in state at the nation’s capitol. He won’t have 4 or 5 separate memorial services over a span of 10 days, as did McCain and Floyd and Lewis. Al Sharpton won’t be invited to deliver an hour-long, hate-filled diatribe. The Clintons will not travel to his funeral from Chappaqua, nor the Bushes from their ranch in Texas. Obama His Own Self will not deliver a eulogy filled with messages about mail-in voting or voter ID.

Herman Cain won’t receive send-offs from those former presidents, but he did get this tribute from the current one:

Rest in Peace, Herman Cain. Rest in the knowledge that, because you are neither a Swampling nor, like George Floyd, a convenient false idol being used by Democrats to justify mass riots, your funeral will be an actual, dignified service, not a disgusting political rally officiated by the fading wraiths of the elite.

That is all.

Friday News Roundup: COVID Fraud in Texas, Hackery From Politico, and the DNC Server Fiction Endures

It’s Friday, thank God, and we’re going to start this News Roundup with a couple of the funniest, most spot-on videos making the rounds of the Twitters this week.

First, this bit of absolute genius from @BennyJohnson:

And this one from @realpowertie wins the Internet both now and forever more:

Ok, enough of these shenanigans. Let’s move on to some actual news to round up…

This story didn’t get much notice yesterday, but the headline just irritates the hell out of me. – According to a British Intelligence report, the same group of Russians who supposedly “hacked the DNC” in 2016 attempted to steal COVID-19 data from the U.S. and its allies.

From a report at the Daily Caller, which quotes a Reuters report:

Russian government-backed hacking group reportedly attempted to steal research on coronavirus vaccines from the United States and its closest allies, according to a joint report from the U.S., Britain, and Canada released Thursday.

The report, published primarily through Britain’s National Cyber Security Center (NCSC), alleges the group APT29 or ‘Cozy Bear’ was responsible for attempting to break into academic and pharmaceutical institutions for information on COVID-19 vaccines and treatments, according to Reuters. ‘Cozy Bear’ is reportedly the same hacking group widely accused of breaching the Democratic Party ahead of the 2016 presidential election. Russia is the second country the U.S. has accused of attempting to steal coronavirus research, having named China earlier this spring.

“While others pursue their selfish interests with reckless behavior, the U.K. and its allies are getting on with the hard work of finding a vaccine and protecting global health,” British Foreign Minister Dominic Raab said in a statement.

[End]

To be clear, there is not a single shred of actual evidence in the public record that supports the notion that any Russian “group” in fact “hacked” the DNC’s email server. Remember, the FBI just took the DNC’s word for that. Comey and McCabe just allowed the DNC to contract with a private security firm called “Crowdstrike” to audit its server, and that firm – which was later implicated in efforts by the Ukrainian government to influence the 2016 election in favor of the Pantsuit Princes – produced a report to the FBI which Comey and McCabe then treated as gospel.

There is, however, evidence on the public record that the DNC’s emails were in fact downloaded by a DNC employee – most likely Seth Rich who ended up murdered on a vacant street in the wee hours of the morning – onto a memory stick which was then passed on to WikiLeaks.

With all due respect to the folks at the Daily Caller, this is an incredibly misleading headline and article that should not have been published by any reputable news outlets without gobs of asterisks and clarifications. This is how Soviet-style disinformation pushed by the Democrats ends up being perpetuated by our national media.

In case you missed it… – This happened in Texas this week:

In answer to Mr. Eagar’s question: Yes, this same thing fraudulent reporting of COVID-19 “cases” is happening all over Texas. It is in fact the practice being encouraged by state and federal officials here and in other states, and it is the main reason why the numbers of cases is so wildly overstated.

It was good of Mr. Eagar to stumble across the truth like this, but you can be sure he dropped the subject very quickly, since this bit of information definitely does not conform to the official media/Democrat narrative.

Speaking of misleading reports, check out this one from the corrupt Democrat toadies at Politico. – Politico has a major report out detailing how the evil Orange Man in the White House is trying to put people into high positions at the Pentagon who are actually – gasp! – loyal to him and his agenda.

From the slimy report:

The White House is taking advantage of a loophole to install loyalists to President Donald Trump in acting senior roles at the Pentagon, effectively skirting the Senate confirmation process.

While the number of vacancies isn’t new — one-third of the Defense Department’s 60 Senate-confirmed positions are filled on a temporary basis — the White House in recent months has been sending over people to fill open spots, as opposed to the more traditional method of tapping people within the Pentagon.

The White House on Monday announced that it was assigning Michael Kratsios, a 33-year-old White House chief technology officer, as the head of research and engineering for the entire DoD. Kratsios, who has a bachelor’s degree in political science, is replacing Michael Griffin, a former NASA administrator with a Ph.D. in aerospace engineering.

The administration has also discussed installing Anthony Tata, the controversial Fox News regular who has been nominated to be the Pentagon’s top policy official, in a different senior DoD role on an acting basis, according to an official familiar with the discussions. The move would head off what is expected to be a bruising confirmation hearing focused on now-deleted Islamophobic tweets.

Experts and Democratic lawmakers alike decried the campaign to root out those seen as disloyal and replace them with Trump acolytes, some of whom are underqualified. They worry that a climate that values loyalty over expertise scares away the best prospects and injects politics into an organization that tries to operate above partisanship.

[End]

To be clear: This “loophole,” as the hacks at Politico describe it, is actually a longstanding feature of law that has been used by every U.S. president for time immemorial. In recent history, it has been used to greatest extent by presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Hussein Obama His Own Self.

Let’s all remember that those two most recent Democrat presidents didn’t even both putting such acting officials at the Pentagon and in other agencies. Instead, they made copious use of creating new “Czar” jobs that exercised the same kinds of oversight and authorities from the damn White House itself, so that they could be more easily controlled. Doing this also relieved many of these “Czars” from having to go through Pentagon background checks, which many of them would not have been able to pass.

But hey, this is just one more example of your corrupt, fake news media in action, courtesy of the Democrat activists at Politico.

That is all.

Swamp Snake Mitt Romney Hisses His Disapproval of the Stone Commutation

RINOs gonna RINO. – It’s pretty much impossible to get Republicans-in-name-only Pat Toomey and Mitt Romney to get in front of a camera or a reporter to talk about any aspect of ObamaGate, the single most heinous scandal in American history in which the legal apparatus of an entire presidency was brought to bear to fix the 2016 elections and then to execute an attempted coup d’etat on American soil. About all of that, these two senators remain studiously mute, as useless in a fight as a couple of terracotta warriors.

But boy, let President Donald Trump do something they don’t like, and they’re the first to rush out and do everything they can to support the Democrat/media propaganda narrative. Yesterday, both senators decided to pan the President of their own political party, such as it is, for his completely justified and righteous pardon of a harmless old man who was clearly railroaded by Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his band of Clinton/Obama thugs, a clearly corrupt Obama judge, and a fixed jury.

Here’s what Romney had to say:

No concern about the Mueller Gestapo-like abuse of process; no concern about the judge, Amy Berman Jackson, who exercised a series of abuses to tilt the case in the prosecution’s favor; no concern about a jury that was packed with anti-Trump Obama loyalists; just condemnation of the President who chose to exercise an authority he has all-too-rarely chosen to use. This is the very essence of Mitt Romney.

For his part, Toomey chose to forego the simple Twitter route – good for him – and issue a formal statement in which he attempted – in typical DC Swamp fashion – to take all sides of the controversy:

“The president clearly has the legal and constitutional authority to grant clemency for federal crimes. However, this authority should be used judiciously and very rarely by any president. While I understand the frustration with the badly flawed Russia-collusion investigation, in my view, commuting Roger Stone’s sentence is a mistake.

“He was duly convicted of lying to Congress, witness tampering, and obstructing a congressional investigation conducted by a Republican-led committee. Earlier this week Attorney General Bill Barr stated he thought Mr. Stone’s prosecution was ‘righteous’ and ‘appropriate’ and the sentence he received was ‘fair.’ Any objections to Mr. Stone’s conviction and trial should be resolved through the appeals process.”

Meh. Folks, what this statement from Toomey really is is the work of the staff of a spineless politician who represents a 50/50 state and is too afraid to take a principled stand on the matter. Toomey’s statement almost makes you want to respect Romney just a little bit, but then you remember it’s Mitt Romney we’re talking about here and that fleeting feeling flies away with the wind.

Not at all surprisingly, the President of the United States of America had something to say to these useless senators in response to their attacks. It is typically glorious:

This is the truth, folks. I defy any of you to find any statements from Romney or Toomey condemning Obama or Biden for their active participation in the ObamaGate conspiracy, which we now know to be the case based on documents in the public record. Go find me one and prove me wrong.

One final piece of information for the record here: The chart below shows how often each of the four most recent POTUS’s used their power commutation:

So, Trump has used his power more often than Bush did, not as often as Clinton, and then there’s Obama: 1,715 commutations, mostly of drug users and dealers and violent offenders. Look it up, and while you’re at it, see if you can find any similar harsh condemnation of Obama’s use of this power by Romney, who, after all, opposed him in the 2012 elections as the contemptible GOP nominee.

Romney could have won that election had he chosen to run a competent and aggressive campaign. But he clearly had no stomach for the battle; either that, or he intentionally threw the election. The result was a second term for Obama in which he was freed from having to moderate himself knowing that he would never have to face the voters again.

And that, friends, was the four year period that created the political conditions that made it possible for Donald Trump to run for and win the office of the presidency, as the public recoiled from those long years of incremental socialism, open borders and a give-away-the-store foreign policy that included planes filled with cash destined for Tehran and U.S. interventions in 8 separate civil wars in the Middle East and Africa.

The irony of Mitt Romney is that, had he campaigned as aggressively against Obama as he has done against President Trump, he would have become the 45th president instead of his tormentor. If Romney is looking for someone to blame for Trump, all he has to do is look in the mirror.

That is all.

Running Out the Clock: Mike Flynn Case Judge Requests En Banc Hearing

In possibly the single most predictable move in the long and sordid history of corrupt federal judges in America, District Court Judge Emmet Sullivan’s taxpayer-funded lawyer filed a request today for an en banc hearing before the DC Circuit Court of Appeals.

From a story at Law&Crime.com:

U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan, through his counsel Beth Wilkinson, has asked for U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit to rehear his case against the immediate dismissal of the Michael Flynn prosecution.

The Thursday petition for rehearing comes after a three-judge panel on the D.C. Circuit granted Flynn’s petition for writ a mandamus on June 24, directing Sullivan to dismiss the case.

“The panel majority granted the extraordinary writ of mandamus to prevent the district court from receiving adversarial briefing and argument on a pending motion. The opinion is couched as a fact-bound ruling based on ‘the record before the district court,’” the Sullivan petition for rehearing began. “It in fact marks a dramatic break from precedent that threatens the orderly administration of justice.”

[End]

That last sentence is laughably absurd that it is hard to believe a competent lawyer actually wrote it. The only “dramatic breaks from precedent” in this case wer Sullivan’s decision to refuse to grant the government’s motion to dismiss it due to rampant misconduct and hiding of exculpatory documents by the FBI and the DOJ’s own prosecutors, followed by Sullivan’s hiring of a) an ex-federal judge to write an amicus brief supporting Sullivan’s absurd decision-making and b) a defense lawyer to represent him, a sitting federal judge, before the Court of Appeals.

It is notable that today’s request for en banc by Sullivan’s lawyer comes a bare week before Sullivan was to have held a hearing to consider dismissing the case based on the order two weeks ago by a 3-judge panel of the DC Circuit that he do so. It is also notable that none of the 11 judges on the DC Circuit Court itself took the initiative to request an en banc, something any one of them could have done had they felt the order by the 3-judge panel was in error.

That fact, along with the utterly absurd reasoning put forth by his own lawyer likely means Sullivan has little chance of actually prevailing in his en banc quest. Sidney Powell will rip Ms. Wilkinson and silly attempt to put lipstick on this legal pig to shreds.

But the strategy here is painfully obvious: This is just the next step in Sullivan’s desperate effort to delay any final dismissal of the Flynn case until after the November 3 election. Can anyone doubt that, after he pretty much inevitably loses this appeal at before the Circuit Court that he and his taxpayer funded lawyer will then file a similar motion to have the case heard before the U.S. Supreme Court, which does not convene again until the first Monday in October?

Sullivan is an utterly corrupt tool of the Deep State. He and his Lawfare lawyer know he is in the wrong here, and that he cannot ultimately prevail based on legal arguments. This is just one more attempt to delay the inevitable, so that Flynn can be prevented from publicly revealing all he knows about the negotiations of the Iran Deal and other wrongdoing during the Obama administration before November.

What a circus.

That is all.

Kanye West Provides Details, and He Will Have an Impact

After tweeting out news of his intent to run for the presidency this fall on Sunday, rapper Kanye West sat down for what Steve Forbes says was a 4-hour interview with reporter Randall Lane. In the exhausive interview, West provides all the details about his reasons for running, his views about President Donald Trump and Joe Biden, the fact that he believes he has been chosen by God to lead the country and his belief that a COVID-19 vaccine would be the biblical “Mark of the Beast.”

The article on the interview can be found in full at this link.

Go read it – you’ll be glad you did, regardless of your views about Mr. West.

And here’s the thing about this: Whether you take Kanye seriously or consider his candidacy to be a joke, you should not doubt that, if he really does choose to mount a campaign this year, he will have a significant impact on the ultimate outcome.

As you watch the DC insider talking heads on your television assure you that it’s all just a joke, that West is not at all serious, that he will end his lark in a few weeks, and how could anyone imagine that Kim Kardashian West could ever become First Lady, remember that those exact same talking heads made the exact same dismissive comments in 2015 about Donald Trump and Melania Trump in the weeks after he announced his own candidacy.

One quote from West in this interview really stands out to me: “I’m not saying Trump’s in my way, he may be a part of my way. And Joe Biden? Like come on man, please. You know? Obama’s special. Trump’s special. We say Kanye West is special. America needs special people that lead. Bill Clinton? Special. Joe Biden’s not special.”

Whether we want to recognize it or not, America’s presidential politics have dramatically shifted, and that shift started with Bill Clinton’s candidacy in 1992. Clinton’s victories that year over 30-year DC veteran George HW Bush and four years later over 30-year DC veteran Bob Dole started a shift away from campaigns in which some old hand of the DC establishment roams around the country giving boring speeches detailing his 30-point plans to address every imaginable issue.

That’s what Elizabeth Warren attempted to do during the Democrat primaries, and we saw how well that worked out for her.

Clinton didn’t do that. Clinton was all about talking points and image – he had no more than 5 overarching messages composing 25 words or less that he repeated throughout his campaign, over and over and over again. Much of his campaign was based on pushing his image of being young, good-looking, a carouser with women and a guy who played the saxophone on the Tonight Show. To the extent he actually addressed issues, he lied through his teeth about them, and that only made him more of a bad boy who was sexually appealing to the women, who voted overwhelmingly for him.

Obama was all about Roman columns and huge crowds in big stadiums repeating nostrums about “hope and change” and promising to “transform this country,” a line we now see the pathetic 50-year DC hack Biden attempting to parrot from his basement.

Then came Trump, a complete outsider who had never sought a public office in his entire life. Trump didn’t have a detailed plan to address a single issue, other than to build a wall on our southern border. What he did have was image: The image of being a wildly-successful real estate developer, the image of being the guy who spend a decade saying “You’re fired!” on NBC, the image of being a bad boy who had gone through three wives. And, like Obama and Clinton before him, he knew how to communicate in terms that common, ordinary Americans understand.

That’s what our presidential politics are today. We don’t have to like it: It just is.

Democrat voters knee-jerked back to the old DC veteran Biden not because he’s who they really want, but because pollsters and party leaders kept telling them that Biden had the best chance of beating Trump. But ultimately, Biden is Bob Dole without Dole’s sense of humor and status as a war hero. He is not going to be our next president.

If you don’t think Kanye West will have tremendous appeal to many independent voters and tons of Black voters, then you really do need to pay more attention to what has been happening in our country over the last 28 years.

That is all.

Why the Flynn Win and Strzok Notes are Major Obamagate Developments

Wednesday was a momentous day for anyone who cares about the rule of law and the future of the country. Which of course means that the corrupt political activists who infest our national news media have no clue about any of it, and the Democrat politicians and RINOs in Washington DC are scared to death, because they do understand, but hate it.

It wasn’t just because General Mike Flynn and his kickass lawyer Sidney Powell partially won their appeal for a writ of mandamus before the DC Circuit Court of Appeals, although that was a big part of it. The other big deal – perhaps even bigger in terms of the future of the country – was the release of disgraced former FBI agent Peter Strzok’s notes from a meeting held on January 4, 2017 at the White House.

Let’s work with the Court of Appeals decision first. People need to understand what an incredibly rare thing it is in our country these days for any federal appellate court to slap down a federal judge as the completely out of control Emmet Sullivan was slapped down yesterday. A writ of mandamus is a step a defense lawyer takes only as a last resort, when the trial judge in their case has gone so far outside the bounds of the prevailing law that it has become impossible for their client to receive a fair trial in the court.

That reality is why so many expert observers were predicting that Powell’s request would be rejected, which would have allowed Judge Sullivan to keep stringing this case out past Election Day in November, which we now clearly see has been his goal all along. While the 3-judge appeals panel did not completely remove the case from Sullivan’s court, it did order him to dismiss ex-federal judge John Gleeson, who he had hired at taxpayer expense to improperly intervene in the case, and to dismiss the case outright, as the Department of Justice moved to do many weeks ago.

As we pointed out yesterday, Sullivan still has the option of requesting an en banc hearing before the full appeals court panel, but doing that poses very high risks for the future of his already damaged career. Regardless, yesterday’s order by the 3-judge panel preserves the separation of powers under the constitution, and will forever be a stain on Sullivan’s reputation, which had been pretty solid before his gross misconduct of this case. The decision is a huge win for the preservation of the rule of law in this country.

Strzok’s notes are just as important for one single reason: They provide a contemporary record that directly implicates both Joe Biden and Barack Obama as willing and active participants in Obamagate, providing strategic direction for the coup cabal.

The first thing to understand is that that January 4 meeting has not previously been noted as being important in any real way. The second thing to note is that Strzok himself was not in the meeting – his notes are apparently from a meeting he had later in the day with FBI Director James Comey.

Image

In that meeting, Obama, Biden and Comey (it is unknown if there were other participants) were discussing how to proceed vis a vis Flynn, who we now understand was a big target of Obama all along. Remember, when Trump met with Obama two days after the 2016 election, Trump came away from that meeting stunned that the one and only foreign policy matter Obama brought up was an admonition that Trump should avoid hiring General Flynn. I discussed the reasons why Obama was so worried about Flynn in that piece yesterday.

Here’s an excerpt:

Because, remember: Flynn knows where all of the bodies are buried here. This case was never about “Russia Collusion”; it never had anything to do with any real concerns about Flynn’s calls during the transition with Russian Ambassador Kysliak; it never had anything to do with any of the abject nonsense fantasy narratives that the Democrats and their corrupt media toadies have been pushing on the public since 2017.

This case was about protecting the dirty secrets behind Obama’s despicable deal with Iran, which, if left in place would have ensured Iran became the preeminent power in the Middle East, one armed with nuclear weapons. Flynn was fired by Obama in 2014 from his position as Director of Defense Intelligence because he raised objections regarding the negotiations over that deal, and that is why Obama/Biden and other high Obama officials could not stomach the thought of Flynn serving as National Security Advisor.

That’s why Flynn became the target of what we know beyond any doubt now was a blatant effort to frame him by the FBI; it is why he was targeted by American Gestapo Chief Robert Mueller and his enabler, Rod Rosenstein to begin with; and it is why Judge Sullivan has spent the past three years passing on at least half a dozen previous opportunities to dismiss this case and tolerating an unending stream of prosecutorial malfeasance in his courtroom.

[End]

In that January 4 meeting, it is obvious that Obama and Biden – who remember, actually unmasked General Flynn personally in early December, 2016 – remain very concerned about Flynn and all he knows. We see Biden himself become the first person to raise the idea of framing Flynn by using the Logan Act, an archaic relic of law under which no American citizen has ever been prosecuted. That’s how thin a reed these desperate people were pulling here.

We then have Comey telling Obama and Biden that Flynn’s calls with Russian Ambassador Kislyak are “legit,” i.e., not really fit for pursuit under the Logan Act. Regardless, we next see Obama, then the President of the United States, instructing the Director of the FBI to “look at this”, i.e., trying to build a case under the Logan Act, and to “have the right people on it.”

In January 2017, who were the “right people” at the FBI to have on an effort to frame a high incoming official in the Trump Administration? Why, you’d start with Peter Strzok, of course, since by then Strzok had already led efforts to fake the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s illegal email server, led the illegal spying effort – “Crossfire Hurricane” – on the Trump campaign and transition team, and to concoct false rationale to defraud the FISA court. Which is why the first thing Comey did when he got back to the Hoover Building was call Strzok – and perhaps Strzok’s bosses, Andrew McCabe and Bill Priestap – into a meeting to do a download.

Those notes, and that January 4 meeting, are a big, fat hairy deal, folks. Assuming John Durham and William Barr are really planning to execute some real justice related to Obamagate, those notes will make it very hard for them to continue to pretend that Biden and Obama themselves are above scrutiny. Once his case has been fully dismissed and he is able to speak freely, we can expect Flynn to make doing that even harder still.

It was a coup d’etat on American soil, folks, led and planned by Obama and Biden. I’ve been telling you this since mid-2017, and here we are.

As I always like to tell skeptical people: A “conspiracy theory” is not a “theory” when it is standing right in front of you slapping you in your stupid face. This one has been slapping us all for a long, long time.

That is all.

Obamagate’s Motivation: Protect the Iran Deal

The Iran Deal was the epicenter of Obamagate. – That’s the direction this all is continuing to go after former Trump campaign foreign policy advisor Walid Phares revealed yesterday that the was the mysterious fifth target for persecution by the Mueller Special Counsel operation identified in Rod Rosenstein’s scope memo.

This story won’t get much attention from the fake news media, which is focused on its latest fear porn campaign related to the Wuhan Virus, but it is important because it serves to confirm what we have suspected about the motivations behind the still-ongoing persecution of General Mike Flynn.

From a report at John Solomon’s JustTheNews site:

“In my view, the push against the Trump campaign, and then the transition, and then the administration was on behalf of those who wanted to defend the Iran deal, to protect the interests of the Iran deal,” Phares told Just the News.

Phares, a counterterrorism expert who advised Mitt Romney’s 2012 campaign, Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign and Republicans in Congress for years, has long been a critic of Iran for its support for terrorism as well as the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, Tehran’s ally in the Sunni world.

The Obama administration struck the deal to pay billions to Iran and ease sanctions on the country in exchange for a freeze on its nuclear weapons program, and it recognized the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt after the Arab Spring uprising led to the overthrow of Cairo’s longtime ruler Hosni Mubarak.

Trump’s improbable win in 2016 threatened to upend those alliances, Phares said during an interview on the John Solomon Reports podcast, and likely set in motion efforts to undermine the new president in fall 2016 and spring 2017.

“The Obama administration obviously was not happy,” Phares said. “Not just because Donald Trump won the election, but they knew that he was about to change things. The most important point that they were concerned about, and that was not a secret, was the fact that Donald Trump said during the campaign that he will be withdrawing, he will be canceling, he used different terminology, the Iran deal. And the Iran deal was a major strategic achievement of the Obama administration. Definitely, they were not happy with that.”

“And Donald Trump, also during his campaign, was talking about changing, shifting alliances in the region,” he added. “He didn’t want the partnership with the Muslim Brotherhood … So it was a massive change in foreign policy.”

[End]

Indeed, the Iran Deal was almost the only major strategic achievement of Obama’s entire 8 years in office. Unfortunately, it was an ‘achievement’ that would have set the Islamic Republic of Iran – the chief sponsor of terrorism on earth – as the dominant nuclear power in the Middle East.

General Flynn knew this, having served as the Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency in the Obama Administration. Flynn was forced out of that job as negotiations over the deal were ramping up during the summer of 2014, and thus understands the motivations of the Obama officials who pushed it. He also understands the motivations behind the Obama administration’s embrace of the Muslim Brotherhood.

That is no doubt why we see such a flurry of activity by high Obama officials taking place in the wake of the 2016 election unmask, wiretap and eventually frame Flynn for a process crime he did not commit. Flynn knew where all the Iran deal bodies were buried, and the people behind that deal could not afford to have him serving as the nation’s National Security Advisor.

Obama, Kerry, et al assumed that Hillary Clinton would win the 2016 election and cover all of their tracks. But that didn’t happen and they flew into an obvious panic. They’ve spent the last three and a half years keeping Flynn muzzled through a series of FBI and Special Counsel investigations and a kangaroo court process that now has a once-respected federal judge, Emmet Sullivan, sacrificing his entire career at the altar of Obama and the Mullahs in Iran.

Sullivan’s role in all of this means that there is little hope that he will dismiss the case against Flynn once the 3-judge panel of the DC Circuit Court remands it back to him, which is the most likely outcome. Sullivan has a hearing in the case scheduled for July 16, pending the outcome of the appeal by Flynn’s lawyer, Sidney Powell, for a writ of mandamus.

From a policy standpoint, 3-1/2 years of President Donald Trump have virtually erased Barack Obama from the history books. Only some remnants of Obamacare and the patently illegal DACA executive order really remain standing from those eight sorry years today.

But from the standpoint of the utter and complete corruption of pretty much every institution of the U.S. government, the Obama legacy remains very strong. Given the almost utter lack of any help he receives in trying to clean that sludge out of the system from congressional Republicans, it is doubtful that even a second Trump term in office will be able to clean out the impacted sludge.

That is all.

These Democrat Riots Will End America’s Downtown Renaissance

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

The inevitable outcomes of this past week of rioting in the major, Democrat-controlled cities are very predictable. The abject refusal by Democrat mayors and governors to make any effort whatsoever to protect the citizens and small businesses from the excesses of Antifa- and BLM-led burning and pillaging will have consequences for those cities for decades to come.

The first two decades of the 21st century have seen a revival of the central cities in America, as the Baby Boomer flight to the suburbs has given way to a move back to downtown and mid-town areas by Gen-X, Gen-Y and Millennials wanting to avoid being trapped into a life of long commutes they watched their parents endure. Life in high-rise and mid-rise condominiums within walking distance of office and shopping centers has become the new norm for these younger generations of Americans, and hundreds of thousands of small businesses have sprung up on the ground floors of those condo buildings to serve them.

When I first lived in Houston in 1980, no one lived in the downtown area, and the thriving area called “mid-town” was a slum. You didn’t want to linger downtown past dark because it was too dangerous to be caught there. Most other large cities in America were in similar shape after all of the “white flight” to the suburbs that had taken place since the 1960s.

That all began to change in the mid-1990s, after mayors like Rudy Giuliani had taken charge of the security situations in those downtown areas and city governments and business leaders invested billions in urban renewal projects designed to make those areas attractive places to live. College graduates of all races, colors and creeds, having grown up watching their parents spend 2 to 3 hours a day in stop and go traffic saw the advantages of living a few blocks from work and seized the opportunities to do so.

From Seattle to Portland to San Diego to Phoenix to Denver to Dallas to Houston to Miami to Boston, and many points in between, downtown/mid-town neighborhoods that were basically hellholes 40 years ago were turned into great cultural melting pots of our society. It was a stunning success story of 21st century America. But then came Barack Obama and Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch and the policies of hands-off policing, policies that order the police to stand down and watch helplessly during riots as the bad actors vent their rage at the expense of residents and small businesses.

The last week is simply the inevitable result of those “progressive” policies.

Thousands of young-ish New Yorkers who moved to Soho because it was a cool place to be woke up Monday morning horrified by the reality that Bill de Blasio had allowed the neighborhood they had believed to be safe and secure to be looted and burned during the night. Thousands more New Yorkers are waking up to similar realities in other Manhattan and Brooklyn neighborhoods this morning. Residents and business owners in downtown and mid-town areas of Minneapolis and Chicago and Philadelphia have seen their lives and livelihoods destroyed by city leaders who couldn’t be bothered to do anything to stop all the mayhem. The vast majority of these people are loyal Democrats who thought the leaders they have repeatedly elected would protect them.

Silly them.

The worst thing about it is that that mayhem – the looting, the burning, the shattering of doors and windows – was largely committed by their neighbors, egged on by BLM and Antifa organizers from out of state.

If you are a young mother or father who has just seen half of the buildings surrounding your home vandalized, burned and looted by people who live just blocks away, how will you ever feel secure in that home again? If you are a small business owner who has just had your storefront windows shattered and your store looted while your city’s Democrat leaders sat safe in their mansions and did nothing, what will be your incentive for reopening? You may do it for awhile, try to get back on your feet while putting bars on your doors and windows, but how long can you last as you watch half of your customers flee back to the suburbs where they were raised by their commuting parents?

The Democrat mayors and inner-city councilmen won’t care, because the captive population left behind will only lean more strongly in their favor. Their lives of grifting in positions of political power will have been secured.

For the people left behind, life will become grim. Sadly, most of them will have no understanding of the fact that the re-created downtown/mid-town hellholes to come are the result of their own actions and voting habits.

Life’s a cycle, and when you just keep mindlessly voting for Democrats, you get what you ask for, whether you realize it or not.

That is all.

AG Barr Just Let Obama and Biden off the Hook

Today’s Campaign Update – BREAKING

Well, there you have it. – During his press conference Monday addressing developments in the investigation of last year’s mass shooting at NAS Pensacola, Attorney General William Barr took time to also discuss the progress of the ongoing investigation of Spygate/Obamagate led by U.S. Attorney John Durham. During the course of his four minutes of remarks, Barr made clear that, regardless of what Durham’s investigation reveals about the involvement of Barack Obama and Joe Biden, his DOJ will refuse to prosecute either man.

Below is a clip of Barr’s remarks, followed by a transcript:

Transcript:

“So long as I serve as Attorney General the criminal justice system will not be used for partisan political end, and this is especially true for the upcoming elections in November. We live in a very divided country right now, and I think it is critical that we have an election where the American people are allowed to make the decision, a choice between President Trump and Vice President Biden based on a robust debate of policy issues. And we can’t allow this process to be hijacked by efforts to drum up criminal investigations of either candidate.

“I’m committed that this election will be conducted without this kind of interference. Any effort to pursue an investigation of either candidate has to be approved by me. Now, what happened to the President, and I’ve said this many times, what happened to the President in the 2016 election and throughout the first two years of his administration was abhorrent. It was a grave injustice, and it was unprecedented in American history.

“The law enforcement apparatus in this country were involved in advancing a false and utterly baseless Russian Collusion narrative against the President. The proper investigative and prosecutive standards of the Department of Justice were abused, in my view, in order to reach a particular result. We saw two different standards of justice emerge: one that applied to President Trump and his associates, and the other that applied to everybody else. We can’t allow this to ever happen again.

“The Durham investigation is trying to get to the bottom of what really happened, and it will determine whether there were any federal laws broken; and if there were, those who broke the laws will be held to account. But this cannot be, and it will not be, a tit for tat exercise. We are not going to lower the standards just to achieve a result. The only way to stop this vicious cycle, the only way to break away from this dual system of justice, is to make sure that we scrupulously apply the single and proper standard of justice for everybody.

“Now, under the longstanding standards of the Department of Justice, criminal charges are appropriate only when we  have enough evidence to prove each element of a crime beyond a reasonable doubt. That is the standard we’re applying.

“Now, I have a general idea of how Mr. Durham’s investigation is going, and as I have indicated, some aspects of what happened are being examined as potential crimes.  But we have to bear in mind what the Supreme Court recently reminded us of in the Bridge Gate case: As the Court said there, there is a difference between an abuse of power and a federal crime. Not every abuse of power, no matter how outrageous, is necessarily a federal crime.

As to President Obama and Vice President Biden: Whatever their level of involvement, based on the information I have today, I don’t expect Mr. Durham’s work will lead to a criminal investigation of either man. Our concern over potential criminality is focused on others.”

[End]

Ok, so, a lot of very noble stuff in there, pretty much all of which any fair-minded American would agree with had we experienced a normal political environment over the last 5 years.

After all, how can any fair-minded American disagree with the notion that the criminal justice system should not be used to achieve a political end? Or that justice must be blind? Or that “not every abuse of power is necessarily a federal crime?” Or, indeed, even that we need to do our best to end the abuse of the justice system in America?

Obviously, that’s all very just and fair.

The problem, of course, is that we have not lived in anything resembling a normal political environment for the last 5 years, and that the Obama Administration used the DOJ for partisan political ends for 8 long years. The political playing field was vastly tilted to the political left by Obama and his evil minions, and neither Barr nor Jeff Sessions have done much of anything to correct that tilt.

Plus, what if Durham’s investigation does reveal  “enough evidence to prove each element of a crime beyond a reasonable doubt” against Quid Pro China Joe? Let’s say that result comes about during the summer – how would it then be fair to the American public and indeed the American criminal justice system for Barr to decide to keep that information confidential – which he would have to do by the standard he articulated today – and to allow Biden to continue as a candidate unscathed, knowing that he would inevitably quash all evidence against him should he be elected?

Barr is absolutely correct that the U.S. justice system should have never been used for political ends as it was by Obama and Biden. But that is what it is at this point, and the damage has been done. If Durham’s investigation reveals criminal wrongdoing by either man, and Barr withholds that information from the public, regardless of timing, he will have rendered himself every bit the political tool that Loretta Lynch and Eric Holder were guilty of being.

That is all.
