The Democrat/Media-Induced CoronaPanic has Killed Thousands

The Mid-Day Campaign Update

While browing the Internet today, I came across a very telling chart. It is based on official government data, and was complied by USAFacts.org. Take a look:

Here’s what you need to know about it:

  • The white areas have seen zero cases of the Wuhan Virus;
  • The red areas – major cities in the northeast and midwest – have seen as many cases as the yellow areas, which are basically the metro areas surrounding those big cities;
  • The green and white areas – about 98% of the U.S. landmass – have seen roughly the same number of Wuhan Virus cases as the yellow areas and the red areas.

Now, also realize that, as we reported early this week, fully 52% of all deaths from the virus have occurred among nursing home and long-term care facility patients. Taken together with the reality painted by the map above, this means that, based on catastrophically-wrong statistical models and faulty guidance from Anthony Fauci, Deborah Birx and the pinheads at the CDC, we shut down the U.S. economy and threw 40 million people out of work over what was in fact a nursing home problem concentrated in just 2% of the U.S. land mass. And taking this wrong-headed, shut-everything-down approach instead of focusing on the long-term care facilities in which the problem was actually concentrated resulted in tens of thousands of needless deaths to our elderly community.

The truth of this is simply inescapable.

Never in American history have we taken similar action in response to any disease. Didn’t do it for the Spanish Flu, didn’t do it for SARS, didn’t do it for H1N1, or for polio or smallpox or tuberculosis or any other communicable disease that has come to our shores.

In its Sunday edition today, the ghouls who run the New York Times dedicated their section A to listing the names of the almost 100,000 Americans whose deaths have been attributed to the Wuhan Virus under the CDC’s wildly exaggerated counting guidelines. Oddly, though, the New York Times did not give the same memorial treatment to the roughly 100,000 Americans who the CDC says had died from pneumonia and the seasonal flu from last October through the end of April.

Think about why that is the case – the answer is obvious. There is no political leverage targeting President Donald Trump to be gained from focusing on pneumonia and common flu deaths. Only COVID-19 gets that treatment.

One favorite liberal talking point throughout this crisis has been to say “boy, things sure would have been different if Obama was president,” and that is certainly true. Because if Obama were president, the Democrats/media axis of propaganda would not have engaged in the frenzied effort during February and early March to create a national panic about this viral gift from China as a tactic to damage him.

No question about that, and without that national panic, Dr. Fauci would have likely never gotten his national platform from which to create so much confusion and additional panic, which led directly to the whole “flatten the curve” strategy involving what became almost a national lockdown. Without that national panic created by the Democrats and media, we might have saved tens of thousands of elderly lives that have instead been lost.

Never forget what these people did to our country in the crass pursuit of partisan political power.

That is all.

Sunday News Roundup: Sullivan Lawyers Up, Cuomo Deflects Blame, and Trump Tees Off

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

If this surprises you, you haven’t been paying attention. – Federal Judge Emmet Sullivan, under fire for his bizarre conduct of the case involving the framing of General Mike Flynn, will not be filing his own response to the DC Circuit Court of Appeals’ order for him to explain himself by Friday. Instead, the Washington Post reports that he has taken the extraordinary step of hiring “a high-profile lawyer” to do that for him:

The federal judge who refused a Justice Department request to immediately drop the prosecution of former Trump adviser Michael Flynn has hired a high-profile trial lawyer to argue his reasons for investigating whether dismissing the case is legally or ethically appropriate.

In a rare step that adds to this criminal case’s already unusual path, U.S. District Judge Emmet G. Sullivan has retained Beth Wilkinson to represent him in defending his decision to a federal appeals court in Washington, according to a person familiar with the hire who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the matter. The U.S. District Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit is now examining the judge’s actions and the larger case against Flynn after lawyers for President Trump’s former national security adviser asked the court to force Sullivan to toss Flynn’s guilty plea.

Wilkinson, known for her top-notch legal skills and get-results style, is expected to file a notice with the court in the coming week about representing the judge. She declined to comment when reached Friday evening. Sullivan also declined to comment through his office.

[End]

Don’t you just love the phrasing? “high-profile”; “top-notch legal skills”; “get-results style;” the pathetic Post reporter must have just done a cut-and-paste from Wilkinson’s marketing flyer, which no doubt was stapled to the handy talking points memo that came in from the DNC.

So, what does this tell us? It tells us that Judge Sullivan is worried, very worried. The order from the DC Circuit demanded a response personally from him, not some “high-profile lawyer” with a “get-results style.” It also tells us that the judge who refused to allow the DOJ’s motion to dismiss the case is not confident that he is capable of explaining his own actions. Amazing.

The Post story indicates that Wilkinson plans to file a notice to the court that she will be doing the responding on the judge’s behalf, something the Circuit Court has no obligation to allow. This will be another very interesting week in the Soviet-style show trial of General Flynn.

“None of the men are wearing masks.” – President Donald Trump (I never tire of typing those three glorious words) drove the corrupt news media nuts once again on Saturday, simply by playing his first round of golf since early March. The automatonic ghouls at CNN and MSNBC tut-tutted about it all day long, obsessing over the fact that, while spending four hours in the wide open spaces, neither the President nor any of his playing partners and entourage were – gasp! – wearing masks.

Coronavirus: Trump golfs while 2014 comes back to haunt him

Oh, the humanity!

Not even Anthony Fauci is confused enough to pretend that wearing a mask would serve any productive purpose in that setting, and you can be certain that none of the TV talking heads, cooped-up in their enclosed studios with cameramen and production staff, were wearing masks while doing all the tut-tutting and tsk-tsking.

These are the worst people in our society. They truly are.

Yore attenshun good citizens! Tha Honorabull Rayaph Coonman Northam is a-gonna go visit tha beach and mingle with tha peoples down theyah! – Meanwhile, detestable Democrat Virginia Governor Ralph Northam was doing this:

Image

No one at CNN or MSNBC had a word to say about it. Funny how that works.

Living in a Democrat state is hazardous to your health. – No really, it is. Reuters compiled data showing that residents in “blue” areas of the country are three times more likely to die of the Wuhan Virus than residents living in the “red” areas:

Image

So, come on to Texas and Florida, folks, but when you get here, don’t vote for Democrats.

Speaking of dangerous Democrat governors… – Andrew Cuomo, in his frenzy to misdirect blame for his state’s thousands of nursing home deaths anywhere but in his direction, is now claiming that he issued his order forcing hospitals to send infected elderly patients back to nursing homes based on guidance from the Trump Administration:

Gov Cuomo blames Trump administration for forcing him to send 4,300 coronavirus hospital patients to nursing homes where 5,800 New York residents died

  • New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has argued that he was simply following White House guidance on sending hospital patients to nursing homes
  • ‘Don’t criticize the state for following the president’s policy,’ Cuomo said
  • It was revealed Thursday that 4,300 recovering coronavirus patients were sent to New York’s already vulnerable nursing homes
  • There have been more than 5,800 nursing and adult care facility deaths in New York

This is a completely false claim. No guidance from the federal government or anyone else justified Cuomo’s unconscionable, ghoulish order.

But here are tools supplied by the federal government to New York that Governor Cuomo could have used to avoid sending those infected patients to those nursing homes, where they infected thousands more residents who might otherwise have avoided the virus:

  • A 1,000 bed Navy hospital ship that saw a grand total of 84 patients before leaving New York Harbor;
  • A 2,900 bed field hospital at the Jacob Javits Center that Cuomo and Bill de Blasio barely used;
  • A 500 bed field hospital in Brooklyn that also sat barely used.

Let’s be crystal clear: Andrew Cuomo and Andrew Cuomo alone is responsible for the needless deaths of thousands of nursing home residents in New York. Period.

That is all.

Watch and Read: Kayleigh McEnany Lectures the Press Corps on Obamagate

Today’s Campaign Update, Part II

There’s really not a lot of commentary to add to this one. At the closing of her White House press briefing on Friday, the increasingly-great Kayleigh McEnany spent the final two minutes lecturing the worthless, 100% incurious White House press corps like my Cost Accounting professor used to lecture his hungover students on Monday mornings.

It was truly glorious.

Here is a clip of those final two minutes, followed by a transcript lovingly prepared by yours truly:

Transcript:

[There are a] series of good questions that any good journalist would want an answer about why people were unmasked. All sorts of questions. And I just wanted to follow up with you guys on that – did anyone take it upon themselves to pose any questions about Michael Flynn and unmasking to President Obama’s spokesperson? [waits] Oh, not a single journalist has posed that question. Ok.

So, I would like to lay out a series of questions, and perhaps if I write them out in a slide format – maybe we’re all visual learners and you guys will follow up with journalistic curiosity.

Number One: Why did the Obama Administration use opposition research, funded by a political organization and filled with foreign dirt, to surveil members of the Trump Campaign?

Number Two: Why was Lt. General Michael Flynn unmasked, not by the intel community entirely, but by Obama’s Chief of Staff, by the former vice president, Joe Biden, by Susan Rice, by the Treasury Secretary..I mean, this is extraordinary, and if it were political appointees in the Trump Administration, I can guarantee you I would have questions in my in-box right now. But apparently, Obama’s spokesperson does not.

Why was Flynn’s identity leaked in a criminal act – it is a criminal act to leak the identity of Michael Flynn to the press, but it happened. Where are the questions to Obama’s spokesperson? Because my team would be running around this building should this have happened under the Trump Administration.

Why did the DOJ – Sally Yates – learn about this unmasking from President Obama? So much for going “by the book,” as Susan Rice said, three times. Thou doest protest too much, Susan Rice.

And then finally, question number five, why did James Clapper, John Brennan, Samantha Power and Susan Rice privately admit under oath that they had no evidence of collusion while saying the opposite publicly?

It’s a long weekend, you guys have three days to follow up on those questions, and I certainly hope the next time I ask, some hands go up, because Obama’s spokesperson should be asked those questions. Because President Trump’s spokespeople certainly would be.

[End]

Wow. That was a pounding.

POLITICAL POSTERS (21 MAY) | Whistleblower Newswire

It is a sad fact of our society that, over the last half-century, the most lacking-in-curiosity-and-personal-integrity in our population have chosen to major in journalism. Even worse, those same individuals with no personal ethics or sense of curiosity have now become the professors at the nation’s journalism schools, and spend their days pounding any innate curiosity or ethical sense their young charges might have obtained from their parents out of them.

The result is today’s White House press corps. While it is easy to understand Ms. McEnany’s well-grounded frustrations, no one should expect this dynamic to change.

Real journalism is dead – with rare and notable exceptions – in our country, and has been for several decades now.

Saturday News Roundup: Trump Declares, Whitmer Extends, Pritzker Sued, DeSantis Frees

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

But what will he do to force the issue? – On Friday afternoon, President Donald Trump (I never tire of typing those three glorious words) declared the nation’s churches, synagogues, temples, mosques and other houses of worship to be “essential” and demanded that the 50 state governors act to open them “right now, this weekend.”

The President’s demand was accompanied by a simultaneous release of CDC guidelines for the opening of places of worship, which formerly enjoyed the absolute protection of the First Amendment to the Constitution, but now apparently are only allowed to operate at the whims of governors, 24 of whom are Democrats who are hostile to individual freedoms generally. Somehow in all of the panicked decision-making committed in response to this Chinese plague, places of worship were given lower priority than liquor stores, pot shops and abortion clinics by federal health “experts.”

Hey, next time we have a pandemic, maybe the president at that time will think to have a constitutional “expert” on his response task force, too.

Now, you can be absolutely certain that not a single one of those 24 Democrat governors will voluntarily reopen their churches anytime in the near future, or make any special effort to comply with the President’s wishes. You can also be certain that many of the Republicans will also slow-play this CDC guidance. Given that it is not at all clear what power the President would have to hurry them along or usurp their authority in our federal system, Mr. Trump will apparently be left to rely on his Department of Justice to start suing governors who refuse to comply.

And we all know what a slow process…oh, wait…

Well, that was fast. – And just like clockwork, the DOJ filed a challenge to the religious freedom restrictions being enforced in Illinois by toadish Governor J.B. Pritzker. From a report at NPR:

The Trump administration is supporting a lawsuit challenging the Illinois governor’s stay-at-home order. The legal maneuver marks the first time the U.S. Department of Justice has weighed in on state level COVID-19 policies that are unrelated to religious matters.

The department on Friday filed a statement of interest in the case against Democratic Gov. J.B. Pritzker, saying the protective coronavirus measures in place exceed the limits of his office.

“In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Governor of Illinois has, over the past two months, sought to rely on authority under the Illinois Emergency Management Agency Act to impose sweeping limitations on nearly all aspects of life for citizens of Illinois, significantly impairing in some instances their ability to maintain their economic livelihoods,” the department said in a statement.

The government is siding with Republican state Rep. Darren Bailey who filed the initial suit in state court earlier this month. He argued that Pritzker’s executive order violates a 30-day limit on the governor’s emergency powers put in place by the state legislature.

[End]

Cool. Now do Michigan.

Commentary: Why it matters when Gov. J.B. Pritzker wears a mask ...

Speaking of Michigan, Generalissimo Gretchen Whitmer has done it again. – The aspiring banana republic dictator extended her science-devoid stay-at-home order on Friday through June 12, in the process creating an entirely new rationale for keeping her state on lockdown: “If we’re going to lower the chance of a second wave and continue to protect our neighbors and loved ones from the spread of this virus, we must continue to do our part by staying safer at home.”

Oh. So, now Democrats have a new narrative: The stay-at-home strategy wasn’t about “flattening the curve,” as they all assured us was the case back in March; now, it has morphed into preventing an imaginary “second wave” of the Wuhan Virus that no one knows will ever come. And even if we knew such a second wave was coming, there literally no scientific or data-driven basis for thinking that staying at home in June would protect anyone in October or December or whenever the Democrat talking point memo imagines the “second wave” is coming.

Herr Gretchen is no longer governing her state – she’s just campaigning to be Joe Biden’s running mate, and believes that keeping the boot on the necks of Michiganders helps her in that cause. This is a very, very dangerous woman, folks.

Gretchen Whitmer | Ricochet

In response to the Generalissimo’s dictatorial reign of power, hundreds of Michigan citizens gathered on the steps of the capitol building in Lansing on Friday to…cut hair. I kid you not. Led by 77 year-old barber Karl Manke, the group actually set up barber’s chairs and had Manke and other hair stylists clean people up right on the capitol steps:

Jody Hebberd, left, gives a free haircut to Reid Scott, as he reads the paper on the steps of the State Capitol as Karl Manke, right, cuts the hair of Parker Shonts during a rally in Lansing, Mich., on Wednesday. (AP Photo/Paul Sancya)

Hilarious. These are Americans. This is what America looks like, Herr Gretchen.

Somebody needs to lock this guy in a closet and throw away the key. – After spending the last 3 months as the leading advocate for these interminable stay-at-home orders and frequently telling TV audiences that we may need to keep doing this for 12 to 18 months or whenever we have a miracle vaccine to shoot into everyone’s veins, Dr. Anthony Fauci actually had this to say on Friday:

You seriously could never make this stuff up. Never in a million, trillion years.

This is what leadership looks like. – While Dr. Fauci and the Democrat governors were focused on their mission to destroy the country on Friday, the best and most effective Governor in the land did this:

Can anyone doubt that Gov. DeSantis will also be among the first to lift all restrictions on church attendance?

Ron DeSantis is the Anti-Whitmer.

DeSantis banks on Trump in his corner for Florida governor's race ...

Let freedom ring.

Have a great Saturday, if you can.

Joe Biden is Losing his Social Filter

The Evening Campaign Update

The nation’s Declining Unfrozen Caveman Presumptive Nominee is losing his social filter. – Creepy Uncle Quid Pro China Joe Biden got himself into hot water today when his elder-abusing handlers pushed him out in front of TV cameras yet again. In his interview with radio host Charlamagne tha God, Biden at one point blurted out “You got more questions but I’ll tell you if you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.

Yikes.

Twitter naturally went crazy for a few hours as an array of outraged black tweeters condemned Biden’s remarks while the Biden apologist army waited for approved campaign talking points. #BidenIsARacist was one of several hashtags that were trending. They finally got those talking points late in the afternoon when Biden lamely allowed that “I shouldn’t have been such a wise guy.”

In Biden-speak, the term “wise guy” is apparently code for “raging racist.”

This is just another example of Biden progressively losing his social filter, a very common manifestation of an elderly person suffering from some form of dementia. The man is just blurting out his real thoughts he’s held for decades but previously had the sense to suppress in polite society.

Frankly, in this instance he just blurted out the real thought that every liberal Democrat politician in America and pretty much their entire voter base has held for half a century now. These people really do believe they have some sort of right to the votes of Black Americans, and treat any African American who doesn’t vote for them as non-humans. And it isn’t just the white liberals who think like this: The members of the congressional Black Caucus feel the same way, and let people know about it on a regular basis. This is no secret, and so it’s really kind of funny to see all the outrage take place whenever someone like Biden slips up and blurts it out in public.

This is far from the first time Biden himself has done this. During the 2008 campaign he famously referred to Barack Obama as “the American dream…a clean and articulate black man.” During an earlier campaign he joked that you couldn’t “find a 7/11” that wasn’t run by someone from India. Over his 47-year political career, Biden has been famous not only for his inappropriate touching and sniffing of females of all ages, but also for telling off-color jokes and wise cracks targeting women and minorities. This is a guy who originally elected to the senate from Delaware in 1972 as the anti-busing candidate with the support of the mob and the Teamster’s Union.

This is who Joe Biden is, folks. Today’s outburst wasn’t some one-off “wise guy” crack, it was just Biden being Biden. Get used to it.

That is all.

Hydroxychloroquine: A Texas Family Doc Debunks Democrat/Media HCQ Myths

Guest Piece by Dr. A.B. Spence, MD

Subject: Hydroxychloroquine and the curious case of it becoming dangerous

I’m a retired (on October 1, 2019) Family Practitioner with 40 years of experience on what is now called the front lines of medical practice. I never considered myself a warrior or hero during the flu seasons, including the H1N1 epidemic, but I’m fine and dandy with those terms being used to describe my colleagues and all the other medical staff and personnel that are confronting this awful Chinese virus daily since it was unleashed on our shores a few months ago.

At age 70 and with what I suppose is a comorbidity of rheumatoid arthritis and taking the miracle drug Humira, an immunosuppressant, if I were still in practice at this time I would unquestionably be taking Hydroxychloroquine as a prophylactic measure. There is anecdotal evidence that it can help resist or prevent the spread of Covid 19, and in many cases it has been shown to successfully treat Covid patients. It’s also one of the safest prescribed medications a person can take.

At least it was prior to President Trump expressing hope a couple of months ago that it could be helpful in treating Covid 19. Then it became a dangerous drug, poisonous, that would kill a lot of people with cardiac arrhythmias or whatever. And as proof the media told us about an old fella that died after guzzling an industrial fish tank cleaner that contained chloroquine as an ingredient. Somewhere Darwin simply smiled knowingly on that report.

As I researched hydroxychloroquine in the early days of the pandemic, I couldn’t find one documented case of a person dying from a cardiac arrhythmia. And this covered over 60 years of the drug being used as a treatment of and prophylaxis against malaria, both short term and long term usage. All of you reading this know of the millions of dosages given to certain people with autoimmune diseases that successfully take HCQ with no untoward reactions.

The word “anecdotal”, as it applied to Hydroxychloroquine, took on a different meaning also. In this case it is used in a demeaning manner as it wasn’t “science.” It hasn’t been proven to be effective without a shadow of doubt. No double blind or whatever studies have been done with HCQ to prove it’s 100% effective in dealing with Chinese virus. And on and on.

I can assure you that the medical profession has prescribed drugs and therapies forever based on anecdotal evidence that suggest off label treatments may be helpful for certain diseases. Most or possibly all with greater risk versus benefit profiles than HCQ and Corona Virus.

And if you think about it, the country’s entire response to the Chinese virus, the lockdowns, the masks, the gloves, the fear of contaminated surfaces, the social distancing, the closing of “nonessential” businesses, the disastrous school closings, the destruction of our best ever economy, the slaughter of thousands of our most frail senior citizens in nursing homes by certain Democrat governors (I’m looking at you Cuomo and Murphy) have been and continue to be based on anecdotal evidence of how the virus spreads, who is most at risk, how to treat it, etc. In these instances it’s referred to as “science.”

Every time I hear a leftist power hungry governor, mayor, judge, representative, senator, or medical bureaucrat say they’re going to “follow the science” to keep ruining our economy I want to vomit.

With that I I’ll stop. Feeling a bit nauseous.

A. B. Spence, M.D.

Larry Schweikart: Democrats Push the Panic-Porn Button

Guest Contribution by America’s History Teacher, Larry Schweikart

As the Democrat governors lose the narrative of the China Virus—and also lose control of their states, they have ratcheted up the panic-porn to new levels. Hoax News reporters harangue President Donald Trump about not wearing a mask, then about taking hydroxychloroquine, then about whether he would shut down the country if the China Virus numbers suddenly rise again.

His answers? “No, I won’t wear a mask,” “I’ve been taking hydroxycholoroquine for two weeks,” and “No, I won’t shut the country down again.”

Bravo.

It’s clear none of this has anything whatsoever to do with a flu and everything to do with damaging the U.S. economy enough to keep Trump from getting massively reelected. After all, they did it once before . . . sort of. In early October, 2016, as Joel Pollak and I revealed in our book How Trump Won, the Trump team was circulating internal polls that were shockingly good for The Donald. How good? They had him within the margin of error in Illinois, Rhode Island, and Oregon. They had him even in Minnesota (which, as it turned out, was the case).

I am convinced that Hillary Clinton’s team was reading the same tea leaves, and had to do anything to stop the momentum. I believe that is why they rolled out the “Access Hollywood” tape so early. It did have a damaging, but quite temporary, effect on the Trump team. But by election day, the impact had faded, and while Trump did not carry Oregon, or Rhode Island, or Illinois, he did shock the pundits by winning perennial teaser states for the GOP like Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania, and came reasonably close to winning Virginia and within a hair of winning New Hampshire. This suggests that early internal polling had some merit.

The point is, “Access Hollywood” was a last-minute, desperate brake on Trump’s momentum. While the Democrats didn’t introduce the China Virus to the U.S.—China did—they reveled in an opportunity to again put a brake on Trumpmentum. One can look at polls from the same Hoax Pollsters who gave us a Hillary landslide in 2016, or who missed Wisconsin by an average of six points, or who missed the Ron DeSantis/Rick Scott/Josh Hawley/Mike Braun elections in 2018. Those same Hoax Pollsters say that Joe (I’m hidin’) Biden, who hasn’t appeared in public at a live event in nearly two months, is somehow leading President Trump.

If you buy that, then you likely have the Las Vegas Raiders winning the Super Bowl this year, too.
What the draconian lockdowns by the blue-state governors, particularly Gretchen Whitmer in Michigan, J. B. Pritzker in Illinois, Gavin Newsom in California, and Andrew Cuomo in New York have done is to finally . . . finally . . . chip away at the remaining Democrat base. Already—and the Democrats, deep in their evil hovels of voter analysis know this—Trump has been eroding the black vote and has been actually building quite a bit of Hispanic support. Most polls put Trump’s black approval at between 16% and 22%.

Blacks, and even black conservatives, are quick to insist that Trump won’t get that much of the actual black vote, and they are right. He doesn’t need to. He’ll get between 12-13% actual vote, but add to that another 3-5% of black voters who will stay home. That is a death sentence for the Democrats. That alone would put Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Florida, and North Carolina in Trump’s column. But when you add that to his up to 47% (in some polls) Hispanic support, and combine that with the outrage in the suburban areas of Virginia, Minnesota, Colorado, and other states enduring a lockdown, Trump’s electoral college numbers are poised to soar.

These last two weeks we had two good tests of the public mood on the lockdowns. A Republican held the WI7 seat largely on the basis of winning mail-in ballots, and not just absentees! In California, Mike Garcia flipped the seat previously held by Katie (The Fuller Brush Girl) Hill, who had resigned. Garcia won by nine, and most surprising of all, continued to break even in the days after the election when Democrat “vote harvesting” often produces surprises. Then, in Staughton, Virginia, Republicans flipped three out of three city assembly seats in a district that went for Barack Obama twice. The issues? Guns and the lockdown.

When you add to this the fact that Governor Cuomo literally sentenced old people to death by sending China-Virus-infected old people back to nursing homes, I think you’ll start to see a serious boil here by election time. The last hope was to somehow perpetuate the panic through the virtue-signaling wearing of masks (of dubious effectiveness, as admitted even by St. Fauci). It ain’t happenin’. The red states that opened, such as Georgia and Florida, have lower rates of the China Virus now. Remarkable what sunlight and herd immunity will do to the flu.

As for Trump? He will be the beneficiary of not only creating one, but two great economies by election time, while simultaneously overcoming the China Virus. The Democrats couldn’t help themselves. They pushed the Panic Porn Button too soon.

Friday News Roundup: Win for Flynn, Loss for Gretchen, CORONAPANIC Lunacy and More

Today’s Campaign Update (Because the Campaign Never Ends)

Tired of all this WINNING yet? – The DC Circuit Court of Appeals, in an extremely rare action, ordered corrupt Federal Judge Emmet Sullivan to personally respond to the Court to explain his refusal to grant the DOJ’s motion to dismiss the case against General Mike Flynn, which was filed on May 7:

Image

As appellate lawyer John M. Reeves (reeveslawstl) explained in a great thread on Twitter, writs of mandamus like the one Sidney Powell filed on Tuesday are most often rejected outright by a court of appeals. But, when not rejected outright, district judges are generally allowed to respond through  an amicus curae, an outside attorney appointed by the circuit court who would file a response on his behalf. In fact, that is exactly what the appellate court did in the U.S. v. Fokker case cited in this order.

The 3-judge appellate court panel could have also merely “requested” Judge Sullivan to respond; instead, it requires him to file his response within 10 days. This is an extraordinary demand by an appellate court of a district judge who has been on the bench for more than a quarter of a century and who, prior to his gross mismanagement of the Flynn case, had established a firm reputation for adhering to the law.

The 3-judge panel consists of Judge Karen Henderson, a George HW Bush appointee; Judge Robert Wilkins, an Obama appointee; and Judge Neomi Rao, an appointee of Donald Trump. We can be confident that Judge Rao will do the right thing, and that Judge Wilkins will parrot whatever opinion is written for him by a bunch of Lawfare lawyers. Thus, the entire matter will hinge on the judgment of Judge Henderson, who, if the order issued yesterday is any indication, is already highly concerned about Sullivan’s conduct.

And speaking of WINNING… – Staunton, Virginia, is a town that has trended Democrat for more than a decade, one that voted for Barack Hussein Obama His Own Self twice, and went for the Fainting Felon over Donald Trump in the 2016 election. GOP voter turnout has been depressed in recent election cycles, as Republicans have become discouraged, assuming the handwriting was on the wall.

But this week, everything changed. Three city council seats, all held by Democrats for years, were up, and the Republicans, in what one reporter called an outcome that was “stunning beyond words,” took all three seats from Democrats, riding a wave of record turnout. Thus, as the corrupt news media continues to crank out its fake polls – Fox just released another laugher yesterday – pretending to show Biden and the Democrats with substantial leads, the results of elections on the ground keep painting a very different picture.

And even more WINNING! – As we reported yesterday evening, Texas Congressman John Ratcliffe was confirmed by the full Senate yesterday on a party-line, 49-44 vote, to become the full-time Director of National Intelligence.

The courageous Grenell will now resume his job as full-time U.S. Ambassador to Germany. Every American should wish him Godspeed and be thankful for his outstanding work as Acting DNI. He has truly made a difference for the nation.

And hey, President Trump: If you want to make every leftist head in America explode simultaneously, how about firing Christopher Wray and making Mr. Grenell the Acting Director of the utterly corrupt Federal Bureau of Investigation? Wouldn’t that be fun?

Yeah, it really would.

Will this WINNING never end? – Generalissimo Gretchen Whitmer, the aspiring banana republic dictator currently serving as Governor of Michigan, suffered another setback on Thursday when a county judge who, unlike her, has actually read the U.S. Constitution rejected her efforts to deny 77 year-old barber Karl Manke his right to cut hair.

From U.S. News and World Report:

The state health department failed to show that Karl Manke’s shop was a specific threat to public health, Shiawassee County Judge Matthew Stewart said.

Manke reopened his shop in Owosso on May 4, drawing customers from across the state who were inspired by his plea for freedom from a government shutdown. Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said barber shops and hair salons are risky places because of the contagious virus.

Manke, 77, has received at least two tickets for violating Whitmer’s orders, and his barber license was suspended last week. Nonetheless, he said he’s still cutting hair — “Oh, heavens yes” — including the hair of a squirming 2-year-old Thursday.

“Listen, I’ve been in this business for 59 years. She wants to come cut my hands off, that’s another story,” Manke said in an interview, referring to the governor.

America needs more 77 year-old men like Karl Manke, and more judges like Matthew Stewart.

Biden team vetting more potential VP candidates. – Don’t look now, but Creepy Uncle Quid Pro China Joe Biden’s handlers, after starting the vetting process with Generalissimo Gretchen and Stacey Abrams, are also moving to vet more serious people, starting with Minnesota Senator Amy Klobuchar.

Say what you will about Sen. Klobuchar, but she, unlike the Generalissimo, is actually someone who has qualifications to be president, which is something any Biden running mate would end up becoming within a few weeks after Inauguration Day due to Biden’s obvious, advancing mental decline.

The Biden handlers also leaked on Thursday the fact that they are also vetting Florida Congresswoman Val Demings. Unlike the loooooser, unaccomplished Ms. Abrams, Cong. Demings is an accomplished, serious person with 35 years in law enforcement. She rose from being a patrol officer to ultimately serve as Orlando’s Chief of Police for 10 years prior to being elected to congress in 2016. Yes, she’s a leftist, but at least she is someone who has had experience leading in a crisis.

While a Biden presidency would be an unmitigated disaster for the country in any event, it is somewhat reassuring that his handlers are at least beginning to consider some fairly serious people as his running mate. Don’t get me wrong: They’re all terrible people. But a Whitmer/Abrams level of terrible is a little more dangerous to everyone than Klobuchar/Demings level of terrible would be.

The push for Joe Biden to choose a black woman as his vice ...

CORNAPANIC LUNACY, Part I – The things we are doing in response to the virus are simply insane, as illustrated by this photo of a beach in La Grande Mont, France:

CORNAPANIC LUNACY, Part II – Horse racing is about to restart in Texas, but few will be there to see it. At Lone Star Park in Grand Prairie – which is in Democrat-controlled Dallas County – the bar and sports book, both entirely indoor facilities, will be allowed to admit fans and bettors up to 25% of capacity.

But the grandstand, which is outdoors in the warm sunlight and fresh air, will be kept empty. This despite several recent studies that indicate that warmth and sunlight help to kill the Wuhan Virus.

You just could never in a million years make this stuff up, folks.

That is all.

WINNING ALERT: John Ratcliffe Confirmed as DNI – Godspeed, Ric Grenell

Today’s Campaign Update – WINNING ALERT

Texas Congressman and strong Trump supporter John Ratcliffe was confirmed by the full U.S. Senate to become the next Director of National Intelligence. The vote in the Senate was 49 to 44, along party lines, of course.

From a  report at the Wall Street Journal:

Once sworn in, he will take over from acting DNI Richard Grenell in the job of overseeing and coordinating 17 U.S. intelligence agencies with combined budgets of more than $80 billion and responsibility for everything from human spying to electronic eavesdropping and operating spy satellites.

Mr. Ratcliffe will be the first Senate-confirmed intelligence czar since August, when Dan Coats resigned after a tenure marked by friction with Mr. Trump.

He takes over at a time of challenges abroad including an increasingly confident China and North Korea’s weapons programs, and at home, where the normally nonpartisan business of intelligence gathering and analysis has become the subject of bitter partisan fights.

Mr. Grenell was seen by congressional Democrats as an overly partisan political ally of the president.

[End]

Do any of you give a damn what the Democrats think of Mr. Ratcliffe? I know I don’t. Ratcliffe will be tremendous in this job, and will do great service for the nation.

As happy as we all should be to have Ratcliffe finally confirmed after his start-stop-start, 9-month journey into the job, there is no doubt that Acting DNI Ric Grenell will be missed.

Here is a simple fact: No member of the Trump Administration to date has displayed the courage and focus on doing the right thing that Mr. Grenell has shown us since taking over this job on February 20. It is difficult to believe today that he has had only 3 months in the role, given all of the phenomenal things he has accomplished during that time.

Grenell has cleared more seditious dead wood out of the intelligence community these last three months than all of his predecessors combined. He has initiated a massive restructuring of the White House portion of the IC, and has led the fight to declassify hundreds of documents that had been previously withheld for specious reasons from the light of day.

In fact, Ratcliffe can thank Grenell for his own confirmation. Had Grenell conducted himself as a worthless, insubordinate protector of the DC Swamp like his predecessors have done, there is no way a Trump loyalist could have been approved by the corrupt Senate Intelligence Committee. But Democrats and RINOs alike were so fearful of what more Grenell might achieve if he were given another year in the job that they sped Ratcliffe’s process along over the past month.

Grenell now goes back to become the full-time U.S. Ambassador to Germany, where he has also done stellar work for the nation.

Every American should thank him and wish him Godspeed.

UPDATE: In their own piece on this confirmation, the guys at TheConservativeTreehouse make a final point that would send shivers up the spine of the Deep State:

FBI Director Grenell does have a nice ring to it.

Go for it, President Trump.

That is all.
